We We are excited about how the Lord might be coming soon and we are coming up hard and fast on the Feast of Trumpets which we believe is a possible date for the Lord to return on.
We believe that there are seven feast days. All of them are listed in Leviticus 23. Every one of them a picture of the first coming or second coming event of Christ. The first war were literally fulfilled at the first coming and the last three will be fulfilled at the second coming. Christ died on the Feast of Passover. 1 Corinthians 5-7 says, Even Christ, Our Passover is sacrificed for us. And so we know that he was the fulfillment. The first verse of the passage of the book is called The First Verse.
We also know he was buried during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, a picture of his burial, his sinless body. We know he was resurrected from the dead on the Feast of First Fruits, which is always of a Sunday. In 1st Corinthians chapter 15, he tells us that he was the first fruits of the resurrection. So he was the fulfillment of the Old Testament type. When the fourth feast was Pentecost, and that’s exactly when this church age began, when Christ said that they were to wait for the day of Pentecost, and the Holy Spirit came and entwalt the believers of this age from that day forward.
And I believe the next feast will end this church age, just like the feast of Pentecost began it. And that happens in the fall, and as the feast of trumpets, and that would happen this This year, September 30th and October 1st of today’s celebration, and we find that when they observed this, the Jewish people played the Ramsorn the Shofar, and on the last day at the final closing of the day, they play a long, long blast on the Shofar, and they called that the last trump.
Does that mean that that’s the moment when Christ will return? I don’t know. But definitely whatever your Christ comes, you’ll probably come on that feast day. So it’s an interesting study. By the way, I have a series where I taught I think 10 or 12 hours on the Rapture. And if you’re interested in what’s going to happen at the Rapture, who’s going to be in the Rapture, the different Rapture positions and why most of them are incorrect and why we believe that we’re leaving before the Tribulation period will not be here for one minute of the tribulation.
You might want to order that set. We also have the book of Revelation, the book of Daniel and so many more. These are going to be great study aids for you. Well, good to have you with us today and we’re going to go ahead and go to the phone lines after we study the Bible for a few minutes. If you want to write down that phone number, it’s 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. So give us a call and you can get up online to go up on the air today as we turn in our Bibles to see what God’s Word has to say.
We’re gonna turn it over to the gospel of John for just a moment and it says in John chapter 6 in verse 45 7 barely barely I say unto you he that believeth on me Has everlasting life Wow, that is a simple verse, but it’s so clear that it’s very difficult to misunderstand what Jesus is saying barely, barely, or truthfully, truthfully, I say unto you, he the believer on me has everlasting life. So at the moment you believe, according to the Bible and verse after verse after verse bears this out, eternal life is received at the moment you believe and is possessed forever thereafter.
So salvation is not a process, but you know all of the false teachers make salvation via process and that you have to continue and continue and continue and follow and ultimately if you are faithful and you are following and continuing that you get to go to heaven. That works. And obviously that is up Paul’s Gospel. The Bible is clear that Jesus paid our sin debt in full at the cross and when you trust in His finished work, at the moment you believe you receive eternal life and from that moment on your say forever, that we really have no part in Solation except to receive what God has done for us at the cross.
John 647 is one of those grand verses that makes it so clear. Jesus says in verse 48 of John 6, I am that bread of life. You know the bread of life is of course a picture of the bread that supplies us life for eternity. And of course that is Jesus himself. He is the bread of life and when you partake of him by believing or trusting that he died for you and paid your sin dead and full of the cross was buried in Rosigim from the dead, save you.
Now a little bit further down here we learned that Jesus is telling us that Judas Jesus never ever believed. Isn’t that a surprise? Isn’t that a shock for some? I know that when I first read that I was surprised to see that. But it says in verse 64, there are some of you that believe not for Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not and who should betray him. So Judas never ever was a believer. Now what is interesting about this is that he was a disciple a apostle, but not a believer.
So it tells us there is obviously a difference between being a believer and being a disciple, or being a believer and being an apostle, because Judas was a disciple and an apostle, but he was never saved because he never believed. So salvation is a gift received by a trusting Christ, but then the discipleship is what we do afterwards saved, it cost us a price that will bring about rewards in heaven. And Judas obviously never ever was a believer. And so it’s possible for you as a believer not to be a disciple, but it’s also possible for you to be a disciple and not be a believer.
And most of those who claim they are disciples who are working their way to heaven by saying you have to be a disciple to be saved are really trusting in their works for salvation, so they have not understood the gospel and they are not saved. If you try to work your way to heaven you will not make it impossible. It is impossible. And we are excited about the fact that you can be absolutely sure of going to heaven from the moment you trust the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.
So if you have your Bible there, take a look at these verses that we just covered. Earlier in the chapter, in John 6, 37, Jesus said, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. What a great verse that one is. And I saw that for the first time the night I got saved, and I said, Whoa, that’s great. He says, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise. That means under most circumstances, or in no case would Christ ever cast out a believer.
And then of course verse 39 is even better. It says, this is the Father’s will which has sent me, that of all which had given me I should lose none. Now one person would be lost once he becomes saved. And so once you become saved my friend, you’re saved forever. What you can lose is rewards. What you can lose is your joy. What you can lose is your effectiveness. What you can lose is the discipleship. What you can lose is your life.
The Lord could take you home to have it early. But certainly you cannot lose your salvation. So once you become saved, you’re stuck. You have to go to heaven, whether you like it or not. And you are saved forever and ever and ever and ever. nothing can ever undo that. Well that is exciting news, as for sure. I hope that everybody listening right now has placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their only hope of heaven and the moment you do, God have been able to know and He saves you.
And He saves you eternally, which is really great. I’m Dr. Englund from Mrs. Bibleline. We’re going to go to the phone lines in a minute, but I think we’re having trouble with our phones. I hope they’ll hurry up and come back online so you can call in. It could be that you will not be able to get through. But keep trying. And so for some reason we don’t know why the phone lines are not working here this morning. And that puzzles me, but I don’t know why, but they should be.
So we’ll give it, you’ll keep trying. You can try, I hope you can get in. 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. If you can’t get online with us, it’s because we are having some phone difficulties today. Well, we have some off-air questions. We’ll go ahead and take some of those and we have a bunch of them here. It says here, let’s see here, Sam, Samson in Knoxville, Tennessee calls in, leaves this offer question, did Jesus teach that unless a man be born of the Spirit and of the water, he would not see the kingdom of God?
That’s true, but the water there is not. What does it mean? It’s people who have read water baptism into the passage. This is in John chapter 3 in verse 5, where it says, except a man be born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Now the word baptized doesn’t occur there at all. It’s not talking about a baptism but it’s talking about a birth. And the birth of water is that which is the natural birth.
Before your birth, you are in a sack of water in your mother’s womb, and before you come out into this world, that water sack breaks, and then how does she come? And so that is talking about the natural birth, the flesh birth. But then there is another birth that is necessary to go to heaven, and that is the birth of the Spirit. That occurs when you trust Christ as your Savior. And John 3, 16 is the passage where Jesus explains the Nicodemus how he can be born of the Spirit, how he can be born again.
So water baptism is not a part of salvation and I hope that probably answered your question. Most people that go there to that passage are thinking in terms of water, baptism, but There’s a tremendous difference between being born and being baptized. And he says in verse 6, marveled on it that I said unto thee, you must be born again. You have to be born a second time by trusting Christ as your Savior. The first birth, we all have it when we come into this world.
Hopefully that helps and thank you Samson or Samson in the Knoxville, Tennessee. We have Cheryl in Camden, Michigan, and she leaves this off her question, can God forgive me since I fell back into sin? What about the verse that if I sin willfully, there’s no sacrifice left? If you can help me, please understand this as I’m bothered so badly that I can’t sleep at night. Okay, well Cheryl, once you trust the Lord, you’re saved forever. As we said a moment ago, you’ll never be cast out, you’ll never be lost, and you’re forgiven once and for all, for all forever.
Hebrews 10, 26, that you’re referring to here, talks about if you sin willfully, you don’t need to become saved again. There’s no more sacrifice necessary to save you eternally, but the one-time sacrifice of Christ. But it does say in the following verses that God will spank you or discipline you if you are going to sin willfully. But you don’t need to be saved again. You are still saved and will be saved and will go to heaven even though you don’t live for the Lord.
But this is not talking about a verse where you could lose your salvation. It is talking about a believer even though he sins willfully doesn’t need another Savior, He doesn’t need to know the sacrifice, doesn’t need to become saved again, because he saved once and for all, forever once you trust Christ. But then you can get into trouble with God and he might have to spank you. So thank you and I hope that helps. Here we have Julius in Syracuse, New York.
He leaves us off here a question. I am a Catholic and I’m sorry for my sins. I have been taught that some sins are unforgivable. Will I go to hell if I commit one of these unforgivable sins? The only answer is there is only one unforgivable sin and that is to reject Christ. So if you trust Jesus as your Savior, then you receive eternal life and you will never be condemned. You’ll never be separated from God. And he’ll never cast you out, as we said a moment ago.
He’ll never lose you. He saves you eternally at the moment you believe on Christ as Savior. And again, I would write down those two verses. That’s John chapter 6 verse 37 and John 6 39, where he says he would never cast out anyone that comes to him, nor would he lose anyone that comes to him. He will keep you saved and you’re saved forever. So you don’t have to worry about that, but you might have got, you know, discipline you and you might suffer the loss of your joy or your fellowship or your testimony, your effectiveness, but you’re never going to lose your salvation.
Okay, we have Stephen in Valrico, Florida, and he leaves this software question. Can a man lust after his own wife? He was 13.5 says the marriage bed is honorable and undefiled. And so definitely between a man and woman that are married, there is nothing that is wrong. And so you might want to look up that verse. Hebrews 13.5. And you’re absolutely right about that one. We have Jim in Ona. West Virginia. We have Jim in Ona, West Virginia. Jim says, off here, if Beth entered into the world by one man’s sin, Adam, how could there have been a previous creation since all these would have died?
I don’t buy the gap theory. The earth is relatively new. Well Jim guess what? It doesn’t say that by one man sin that death entered into the world, it says death entered upon the human race. In other words, there was death before Adam and Eve, but there was no human that died prior to Adam’s sin. And as far as the earth being young and old, I believe that it was created with the whole universe at the very beginning, and I believe that was a long time ago.
If you believe the Earth was only created and the universe was created just 6,000 years ago, the bound doesn’t say that and you’re implying that. And I think you’d have a very dark sky at night because most of the stars light come from millions and billions of light years away. And they’re The light would not even reach us for millions and billions of years. And so you would probably look up at a very dark sky. We are seeing stars from all of the universe.
Many of them are millions and billions of light years away. We have a caller named Anonymous in Miami and Anonymous says, why did Jesus say that in this world you shall have tribulation? Well, because we do. Everybody goes through trials in this life. There’s nobody exempted from having trouble. And from, I’m sure, a child you’ve experienced, there have been some troublesome things that have happened in your life, and you’ll continue to have trouble until the day you die in this world.
But it’s not talking about the period of time called the seven-year tribulation period. That’s a different ballgame. But everybody has a tribulation and trials, and everybody can expect that. It’s part of the curse upon man because of his sin. We now have Joe in Tampa, Florida. He says, do you think weather patterns have gotten worse in the end times? Well, I don’t know if they’ve gotten worse, But we’ve seen a lot of different disasters from weather that have been quite severe.
And the Bible warns that these storms and the sea in the waves would roar in the last days. And I think we’re seeing it happen. Some pretty bad hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and all different kinds of disasters. I think are part of God’s wake up to get people to pay attention and to become saved. Well, apparently we’re having some phone line problems and we have lots of our fair questions so we’ll get a chance for you to get caught up on those.
But let me just say that Bibleline is listener supported. And if you haven’t given the Bibleline, would you consider giving a gift? And if you could give a gift today, it would be helpful. So we are running a little bit behind and we really need to get caught up. And some areas where we’re on the air, we’re not self-supported yet. In other words, we have to underwrite those areas to keep them going. Hopefully that God would raise up an audience that would like to support the program and would send in enough to cover it.
right now we know that several areas are not supported uh… yet they’re not self-sustaining in my hand me of course is one of them we’d hate to lose any area we’d have to drop it but we do need your help so maybe hadn’t considered that we don’t pay any salaries are uh… the by the line ministry is very lean We’re here to talk about the world and we’re trying to do the best we can to reach out effectively to the world.
We know we have 158 countries that have logged on to our website and watch us around the world and listen to us on our website. But we certainly need your help. Would you consider calling and giving a gift today by credit card over the phone? Or would you consider calling and asking for an envelope to be sent and a million envelope which you’ll have our address on it and you can mail your gift into Bible end. In any case, I want to thank you in advance for giving and praying for Bible end.
You are the heroes and God bless you. Thank you in advance for your faithfulness. I am Dr. Anker Encherman. We’re going to wind up this half hour here and go to break. We’ll come back and do a second and a half hour of Bibleline, and we hope that you’ll tune us in for the full hour. Remember you can go back and catch all of the programs of this week, and this month, on the Internet. It’s great to be with you today and I hope you’re enjoying the broadcast. We are glad to be able to be with you. We are having some phone problems today, so we’re not able to get our live collars up on the air, but we trust that you will continue to try to call and maybe we can get through and get you up on the air with us.
But Bibleline is still going on. We’ve got lots of offer questions and we’ll try to catch as many of those as we can today. Thanks again for tuning in and thanks again for being a part of the Bibleline program. If you want to go to Israel in February of next year, if you’ll call and give us your address and your name, we’ll be going to mail you a brochure and you can consider going with us today for the trip in February.
I think you’ll have the time of your life. It will be trip number 16 for me. Also, we hope you’ll ask for a resource sheet and we’ll send that out and we have so many resources, especially the CVs and DVDs of my teachings. And we just had Gershaun Solomon here and you can order the CD or the DVDs of the Gershaun Solomon event. And we had a great time and you might want to watch and listen the way he had to say about the building of the Third Temple.
So you’re welcome to call us and ask for the resource sheet, ask for the Israel brochure, and certainly you can also ask if you could give a gift to the Bible, and that would really help us out. We’re looking for the getting caught up even so we don’t run our rears here, but we have stations that are not self-supporting yet and we’re trusting that God will supply What we need so we can make sure that all of our bills are paid We’re glad you’re listening today.
Hope you’re enjoying the program and let me remind you you can hear all of our programs as Many times as you like by going to the internet Bibleline ministries.org Bibleline ministries.org And when you get to the home page click on the spinning globe you’ll get radio click on the TV set, you’ll get television. Hank Lindstrom. Well we’re back from that break and this is Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church and is exciting to be with you. We’re having some phone line problems today and we cannot get your phone called a hold on the line so we can get you up on the air. So we are able to take some all-fairy questions. So if you want to call in and leave your question off here, we’ll try to get it answered on the program today.
But those things happen and I don’t know why, but we just can’t get our phone lines to crank up today. But good to be with you. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. We had Gershahn Solomon here last night from Jerusalem and he heads back to Jerusalem on Monday. We had a great time. We had people get saved. We had a great time Enjoying him and learning about the third temple. You might want to order that series. We have it on CD and DVD You could call in and place your order and we’ll ship that out to you, but that’s exciting and we had a wonderful time and we Wish that every one of you that are listeners could have been at the meetings on last night, but you can if you get to see these or DVDs you can be as though you’re

It would be a great asset to your library and help you study and grow as a cushion. We’re going to go back to the all fair questions and if you’d like to call in you can do it and leave an all fair question. We’re having fun line problems. We cannot get you up on the air, apparently, as of right now. But we hope that we can solve that problem soon. I’m Dr. England Sherman. This is Bibleline. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios here.
It’s Friday. And if you want to come by and visit us and join us for our worship service, you’re welcome. And also, if you can’t, if you live in another city, you don’t have a good church home, join our service on the internet, because we’ve webcast it live and you can watch it from anywhere in the world. Okay, we have Vivian in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and she leaves us off her question. Please explain counterfeit Christianity. Well, you know what a counterfeit bill is when you have currency?
It sometimes looks like the real thing, but there are certain things that will point out that it’s not the real thing. And we find that the Bible warns about the counterfeit, how that Satan would love to change the message just enough so that it’s not effective anymore. In the book of Galatians 1, and the whole book of Galatians is really excellent on It talks about people there in the churches of Galatia. They had gotten saved, but all of a sudden in a short period of time because of false teachers that snuck into the church, they were led astray because they perverted the message of the gospel.
And let me just read it to you. It’s kind of fascinating because Paul says in verse 6, in relation to chapter 1, I marvel, or am amazed, I am surprised that you are so soon removed from him that called you or invited you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel. Now this is another gospel that he talks about is the same gospel that is the true gospel, but it’s perverted, changed, altered a little bit. And it says here, which is not another, but there would be some that would trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Is this serious? Well, it says in verse 8, though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you, then that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. What is so interesting, and this is why the Bible warns about not adding or subtracting to the Bible. Because if you add one work to what Jesus Christ did on the Cross of Calvary, as He completed the work of salvation by Himself and by His death and shed blood, if you added one additional work, you would knowify the gospel message.
It would no longer save you. This is scary. For example, if you believe in Jesus Christ as Savior plus water baptism, you won’t be saved. If you believe in Christ as your Savior plus living the Christian life, you won’t be saved. You see, if you add any works, then you will no longer have the gospel that is presented in the Bible. And over in Romans 11, 6, it makes it very clear where it says, if by grace, when grace means mercy, I’d merit in favor, if by grace, then it’s no more of works.
Otherwise, grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then There is no more grace, otherwise work is no more work. Sounds like a tongue-twister. But basically the Bible defines grace as the total absence of any work, any human contribution, any human merit. So if you attempt to throw in your little part and say, Jesus paid most of my salvation, but I’m going to pay part myself, you’ll really wind up going to hell because you actually nullify the Gospel invitation, the Gospel message that saves.
And no longer is the Gospel, but the perverted Gospel is an acoust Gospel, as it says in Galatians 1. In verse 9 it says, as we said before, so now I say again, if any man preach any other Gospel unto you, then that which you have received, let him be a curse. So most of Christianity, I believe, has done this. Suddenly they add some conditions, some little strings, some attachments to salvation, where it’s not just by faith alone in Christ alone.
And if you do that, you’ll not be saved. And so the book and relations in particular is written to expose the counterfeit. I was raised under the counterfeit. I was raised in a Protestant church and I was taught that I had to earn my way to heaven. Salvation was by works. One day there would be a great big scale and books would be brought up where they would read all the things that I had done in my life, good and bad, out of the books, ways would be applied to the scale and I would hope that I had enough good works to get me into heaven.
I have had too many bad works and then I would wind up in hell. That was totally false. There is no such thing in the Bible. The Bible tells us we’re saved by faith without works and it’s a marvelous message. And now I work, but I don’t do it to be saved. I’m excited about other people hearing this great message. I want people to be saved. So I try to proclaim as often as I can this wonderful message and let people know how they can be saved.
I sure hope that helps Vivian in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with that offer a question. Dan in Holiday, Florida calls in with this offer a question. How long did it take Noah to build the ark? Well, it seems quite clear from Genesis 6.3 that it took 120 years. That God said he would strive with men basically until that ark was finished and he said it only be 120 years. If you compare 2nd Peter with that passage, it tells us that during those days while God waited, He waited while the ark was being finished.
And that was 120 years period. So it’s interesting that God waited. He was patient. And when the ark was completed the sage in the ark and the lost were left outside and they drowned in the flood. Hope that helps, but Genesis 63, 120 years. We have Angel in St. Petersburg. Angel says in John 644 and verse 65, please explain the meaning of the word draw. Well, it says in John 664, no man can come to the Father except the Father draw him.
Now those who teach Calvinism teach that therefore you can’t become saved unless God picks you out. you out and draws you to himself and unless that happens you’re not going anywhere. So you can’t just come and get saved. Well that’s not true. That’s not true. And let me give you the answer. This is the verse they don’t ever show you. And it says over in John’s Gospel chapter 12, and this is Jesus’ words himself, he says in I verse 32 of John 12.
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, is talking about the cross, and Christ was lifted up from the earth and nailed to that cross. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. So notice here it tells us that he does draw all men. So it’s true. You couldn’t approach the Father unless the Father would draw you, but he’s drawing everybody. And so obviously if you don’t come, it’s because you’re resisting or rejecting the fact that the Father is wooing you and he wants you to come to Christ and be saved.
But read John 1232. He draws all men unto himself. I hope that helps. We have John now in Eustis, Florida, and he says in Revelation 210, please explain the ten days. Well, we believe that these seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3 were literal churches that did exist at the end of the first century, and that John the Apostle, who wrote the book of Revelation, was the pastor of one of those that was the church at Ephesus. And we find here that it talks about these churches, and not only are they individual churches that really didn’t exist, but also they were a prophetic picture of the past 2000 years of church history.
And so when it talks here about the 10 days, it’s talking about the second church age group, the church at Smyrna. Now each of these names are significant in the Greek. The first church was called a church at Ephesus and the word Ephesus means in the Greek desirable. So the early church was desirable and they were doctorally sound and they were commended for that. But then we get to the next church and the word Smyrna comes from the Greek word myrrh and that’s our HR which is a cheese embalming.
So when a person is involved, they use myrrh to, I guess, make the body smell decent. And it talks about the persecution of the early church in the second and third centuries when Christians were under attack. The ten days are, the road day just means a period of time, but there are two different possible answers here, there were ten Roman emperors in a row that brought great persecution on the early church. And so it might refer to those ten emperors and the period of length of their rule that this was the ten different periods of testing and real trial and suffering for the early church.
The last emperor of all those ten was Diocletian. Diocletian was the worst of all of them. He hated the church and he persecuted Christianity severely and the length of his persecution and his reign was guess how long? Ten years. And so it could refer to that intense last period of persecution Christians by the early church as they obviously, you know, persecuted Christians and threw them into the jails and killed them and so on. And so this is I think what is talking about.
Hopefully that helps you. Thank you, John. It used to support it. We have Danny, calling in now, from Evansville. He says, please explain the difference between damnable heresies and biblical topics we can have a difference of opinion on. For example, we can have a difference of opinion on pretribble or mid-tribble or post-trib and that’s not a heresy. Although obviously they can’t all be right. Okay, very good. Adendable heresy is a teaching that we cause you to be damned or to go to hell.
And that really is usually some teaching related to the gospel, to the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ, where that message is altered or changed in such a way that it will no longer save. So that is a damnable heresy. We can talk about other things in the Bible and disagree and it would not be in the same category. But a damnable heresy is a teaching that would cause you to go to hell if you embrace it. And obviously the chose witnesses are full of false teachings that would cause you to go to hell.
They teach you have to work your way to heaven and if you’re not faithfully working that you’re not going to make heaven. That is not true. As you can see as you read through the New Testament. Okay, we hope Danny and Evansville in the end of that helps. We’re now going to go to Robert and he is in Lansing, Michigan. It says in Romans 10 and 10 to confess the Lord with our mouth. Do you have to confess with your mouth to be saved?
And I think you You can help me answer that question. What about a Deaf Mute? Can they audibly confess Christ and the answer is no? And so that would mean all the Deaf Mutes on the planet would automatically be condemned to hell. If you read the context, it’s really talking about witnessing after you become saved. 10 of Romans 10 9 and 10 I believe explains verse 9 and It says that if you confess You made you make confession under the salvation that you already have received in verse 10 But it’s when you believe that you are made righteous and That happens at the moment of belief So when you trust Christ, you believe or trust on Christ, you’re made righteous or given the gift of eternal life.
But then confession is made unto the salvation that we have received by simply trusting Christ. So we don’t confess Christ to be saved. By the way, there was a bunch of religious leaders that trusted Christ, but never ever confessed Him. If you read John’s Gospel chapter 12, it says they did not confess that they knew Christ because they’d be kicked out of the synagogue and they didn’t want that to happen. So they kept their mouth shut. But obviously confession is our witness and every believer ought to witness for Christ and share the gospel with other people who have not heard it or understood it.
And every one of us can do that as believers. And that’s going to be one of the things that God will reward most, I believe, if we do that. But, in any case, whether you confess Him or whether you don’t, you would still be saved. All right, we have Anthony in Miami. Can a man be a pastor if he divorces his wife, then remarries her after 20 years? Well, the whole problem here is that if there is a divorce and a remarriage that if somebody, if one of the two got married in between, they can’t come back to each other.
That’s an interesting point that most people don’t know about. But if you read in Deuteronomy, it says here that the divorce might take place and then there might be the opportunity for them to return after having been married then to another partner. It says here in verse 3, if the latter husband hated his wife and wiped her a bill to the of the house. It says here, or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife, her former husband, verse 4, her former husband, which…
She sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled. For that is abomination before the Lord. So in other words, if the wife was sent away and she left, she remarried and then she became freed up from that marriage. She cannot go back to the former husband. That is impossible, according to Deuteronomy 24. He says that that is abomination. So hopefully that helps and I hope that you’ll look at passage up in Deuteronomy and see it for yourself.
Steve in Peruna, Michigan, calls in. He says, please tell us what Bible verses support the idea of the tribulation period or the preacher rapture rather. I agree that it doesn’t seem that believers will go through any part of the tribulation, some think it could be mid-trip. The answer is, this is a total lack of understanding of how the Bible is to be rightly divided. You’ll find that God’s purpose for Israel is an earthly promise that will literally be fulfilled and God has turned to us the Church, the Body of Christ, and our promises are heavenly.
Now once the church ages concluded that the rapture will be out of here, the seven years that follow are actually the last seven years of the Old Testament. So it is a time when you go back to the way it was two thousand years ago when the the Jewish people are in control over the Temple Mount and you’ll find that during that time everything is Jewish. There will be animal sacrifices offered to get on the Temple Mount. There will be Jewish witnesses, 144,000 evangelizing the world.
Two Old Testament prophets will be coming back, Moses and Elijah and lots and lots of things that are purely Jewish. We don’t belong there. We are the Church and will be raptured out and then that seven years is a distinct period of time, separate from the time in which we are living in now. So the Church began a Pentecostal into the Rapture and then once it ends then God goes back and takes off the last seven years off the clock of the Old Testament age and it will be a very difficult time for everybody on the earth because it will be a time of great tribulation.
Hopefully that helps and we thank you for calling in with that question. We have anonymous and he is not even letting us know where he lives. He is anonymous in location and name. Will my faith in Jesus Christ get me to heaven even though I live us in full life. Can I ever lose my salvation? Well, certainly you’re not the live of a sinful life. If you do as a believer, God will spank you. And that means He will chase in you.
And that means that you’ll, God will get your attention. You don’t, I don’t think you want to do that. That’s not a good choice. But it’s It’s true that once you save, you’ll never be lost. Gun 637, him that came up to me, I will in no wise cast down. He’ll never cast you up for any reason. And so you won’t be lost once you become saved. But you don’t want God obviously coming down on you because you’re not serving him.
You will obviously pay a price for that. You’ll suffer the loss of reward in eternity when you stand before the Joseph’s name of Christ. and you’ll incur and cure God’s discipline here in this life which could mean almost anything. But definitely he’ll get your attention. Sometimes he might even take you home to heaven early. The Bible tells us. Hopefully that helps. Thank you very much for Mr. Anonymous. We now have Joe in Pimbroke, Pines, Florida. He says I would like to reach people in law enforcement with the gospel.
Do you recommend I become a chaplain and how can I become one? I think we talked about this offer and you got that information about being a chaplain. But in any case, Obviously, if you were going to reach people in law enforcement, you have to go wherever they are. So obviously, if you go to Chaplain, you’d have easy access and it would be wonderful, but you might have to just make it a special point individually to find and talk to law enforcement officers and also you could see if there aren’t some other ways to reach in to that organization.
