We want to talk a little bit about James 2 today, and certainly there’s no passage in the Bible that is more misunderstood and misused than James 2. Faithful that works is dead. You hear that used again and again by those who would add works to salvation and they use this as their proof text. Most Christians don’t know how to explain James to. Therefore, when those who teach falsely use James to prove their point, seldom does anybody refute them. Christians need to know the answer.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses will say Faith Without Works is dead. and nearly every group that teaches works will go to James 2 as their proof text in James chapter 2. Do you know how to explain James 2 14 through 26? Not being able to explain this passage will hinder your effectiveness as a Christian witness. So often the lost will object to the true gospel message by saying faithful that works is dead. And if you can’t explain this phrase you’re You’re probably going to make no further progress with the one to whom you are witnessing.

A new twist, of course, is also false, is to say that if you do not have works, then you have no faith, and therefore you’re not saved. Many Christians have been confused, and robbed of their assurance of their salvation by this presentation. Works are suddenly added to the plan of salvation by this misleading teaching on the book of James. that works is dead does not mean that if you don’t have any works your faith is dead and you don’t have any faith and therefore you’re not saved.

First of all James was written to the saved. James was written to believers. Notice the phrase my brethren. That’s a phrase addressing it to believers and it’s used in James 1-2, James 1-16, James 1-19, James 2-1, James 2-5, James 2-14, James 3-1, and etc., etc., etc., throughout the book of James. It talks about my brother and my brother and my brother and my brother and my brother and my brother and my brother talking to believers. James writes to persons who are already saved and the subject is not how to be saved, but the Christian life and how to receive rewards in heaven.

James is writing to those who are born again. Verse 18 of James 1 says, of God’s own will begat he us with the word of truth, we should be a kind of the first fruits of his creatures. James 1 18, the question is not loss of salvation, which is impossible. Jesus promised he’d never cast out somebody who became saved and he would never lose somebody who’s become saved in john six thirty seven and thirty nine but what is talked about here is the loss of reward blessing not salvation is what is promised to the doer of the work In James 1.25.

Salvation, without exception, throughout the Bible is called the gift of God. Romans 6.23 says the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God, the gift of God, the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Ephesians 2.8 says, by grace are you saved through faith in Jesus Christ and that none of yourselves it is the gift of God. It is the gift of God. Wow. Romans chapter 5, salvation is called God’s gift six times in that one chapter.

James 2 14 talks about profit. When the Bible uses the word profit or gain or reward, it’s talking about something deserved. Salvation cannot be earned and it’s not deserved. Paul uses this word profit in many places to talk about reward. In fact, 1 Timothy 4 8 says, Bobly exercise, propheteth, there’s that word, little. But godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. In other words, if you live for Christ, there is profit in this life and profit in the life to come.

God will reward you. James is talking about the judgment seat of Christ. In the judgment seat of Christ, it’s there that our works are going to be examined to determine reward, gain, profit, treasure or the loss of it. This is what is determined at that judgment. James is saying to the believer that has faith but no works, that his faith will not save him from the embarrassment, the regret, the loss of reward that he’ll receive or experience at the judgment seat of Christ, the judgment where our believers works are examined to determine the degree of reward or loss of reward.

How do we know? How do we know that James is speaking about the judgment seat of Christ? read it. It says in the context in James chapter 2 and verse 12, James says, so speak ye and so do ye as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. He’s writing to Christians and telling them that they’re going to be judged one day at the Judge of the State of Christ and so therefore he says everything you speak in everything you do.

Do it as you recognize you’re going to be judged for what you’ve done. This could only be referring to the judgment of believers in the judgment of Christ. And in James 2, 14, we find that no believer will be saved or exempted from the believer’s judgment of works. No works will bring about no reward or no profit. So you’ll find that James is really talking about if you have faith but have no works, what profitable you have. You won’t have any rewards in heaven.

You’ll enter heaven as a zero. Yes, you’ll have access to the Lord and you’ll live in the Lord’s presence forever and ever and ever. But there are some that will have no rewards and at the judgment seat of Christ, they will experience embarrassment. You know when it says, can faith save him if he has no works but has faith in James to 14. It’s talking about not from hell, it’s talking about a believer being saved from the consequences of the Judgement of the State of Christ, which will be embarrassment, regret, sorrow, tears, loss of reward, and being ashamed because of the fact you had done nothing for the Lord of Savior.

And as a believer, no believer will be exempted from that judgment. Every believer will be there. 2 Corinthians 5 and 10 says, 4, we must all appear. We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ that everyone may receive the things done in his body according to that which you have done whether it be good or bad. So every believer is going to give it a count one day. Boy, as a brand new believer, I’m glad I got taught correctly on this right from the get go because I said to myself as a brand new believer, I don’t want to stand there before God and have done nothing and come up with no rewards, no profit, and have myself become ashamed and regret that I hadn’t lived my life for Christ and be embarrassed about it and in her heaven with no rewards at all.

And God clearly wants to bless us and reward us. For our faithful service. Are you saved? Well, if you are, then James is talking to you and he’s talking about believers getting off their blessing assurance and starting to do something that’s going to account for eternity. Jesus tells us to lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven. That’s right. And if you aren’t doing that, you need to start right today. Whatever you do for God will not be forgotten. But what we do.

will be rewarded and you can lay up treasures in heaven in three areas. I call them the three teas, the area of your talents and the area of your treasures and in the area of your time. Everybody has the same amount of time, every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 and a quarter days a year. How much of your time do you invest for God? Well, you’ll be rewarded for the time spent for Him.

Also, your treasure, how much income do you have? God will reward you for investing a portion of your income for eternity by giving to the Lord. And talents, do you have any talents that God has given you? Some special abilities. Well God will bless you as you dedicate some of those talents to be used by God. Are you using any of your talents for God’s glory? Whatever they might be. Have you used them for God’s glory? Have you done anything with the talents that God has given you for eternity?

Well that’s what the Bible is talking about, the three T’s, talents, time and treasure. And as you invest in your time and your treasure for God, God will reward you in heaven. James is not talking about losing your salvation or not being saved because you don’t have works. A saved person can never be lost. And by the way, James 2 23 tells us without a doubt that Abraham was saved without works at all. It quotes Genesis 15 and says Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness.

Abraham was saved by faith, but then later demonstrated his faith by his works in offering up his son Isaac 40 years later after he was saved. When Abraham became saved, which is quoted in Genesis 15, 6 in James 2, 23, when Abraham was saved he didn’t even have a son. But 40 years later he offers up his son Isaac and proves to everybody that he had faith because his works demonstrated that as he was willing to slay his only begotten son.

He loved Isaac dearly. He had waited a lifetime for this son to be born and he was willing to slay him because he had faith and believed God that God would do the right thing and that God would bring him back for the dead if he slew him because God made a promise that through his sons sons the Messiah would come one day. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bible line and we have Carl in Nitro, West Virginia. And welcome to the program.

And Carl, welcome to Bibleline. Thank you, sir. I really enjoy your programs. I have them, I’ve heard them too many times here in this area, but they’ve really been helpful to me. I have a question that really concerns me, and I don’t understand it. been saved and sometimes I’ll build a piece of the Lord I could do the other day but the day before years you’ve been in luck. Yours for God’s sake I didn’t have any peace, any insurance or anything.

This verse always concerned me in Hebrews chapter 6 verse 4. I’m sure it’s impossible. Reverse 7. He’s speaking to the Jews or Christian people here now. He’s talking to Christians, Jewish Christians, but what he’s saying is that once you get saved, it’s impossible to go back and become saved again. It’s not talking about losing your salvation. It’s talking to people who are saved. There are five evidences that they are saved. They’ve tasted of the heavenly gift. They were partakers of the Holy Spirit and so on and so on.

And it says, if they were to get away from the Lord, it’s impossible verse six to renew them again under repentance. That means a change of mind, the change of mind by which they got saved. And you’ll notice if they attempt to become saved again, verse 6 says that they crucified Jesus Christ again to themselves Obviously, he’ll never die again, but to themselves they crucify him again, and they put Christ to an open chain. In other words, the Bible says you don’t have to become saved again, and it’s impossible to become saved again.

And what you need to do is start serving again. As you’ll notice verse 9 it says, we’re talking about things that accompany salvation and is talking about in verse 7 and 8 about if you had a field or a piece of property and you cultivate it. and you plant it, you’ll be rewarded for your labor. But if you don’t and all you get is briars and thorns growing up in your property, they’re just worth nothing but to be burned up and cleared off the land.

So it says in verse 10, God is not unrighteous to forget your labor of love and He’s going to reward everything that you do for Him. So it says here in Hebrews, you don’t want to go back and try to become saved again. You want to start serving again and as you serve, whatever you do for God is going to be remembered and rewarded. And that’s what it’s talking about. So it’s not talking about a loss of salvation. In fact, this is a proof text that you can’t lose your salvation because it says it’s impossible to go back and become saved again.

You’re saved forever by the one-time sacrifice of Christ at the cross of Calvary. If this did mean that you could lose your salvation, by the way, It would mean that you would go to hell and there was no chance for you to ever become Sabian. That’s not what it’s saying and I’ve had people tell me you can lose your salvation. I’ll say have you lost yours. Yeah Where’s the verse of the Bible that says you couldn’t do that? Well, they go to Hebrews 6 and then I’ll say and I put on my sad face and I say, you know I really feel badly for you.

Why? Well, I don’t have words to express my my feelings right now because I feel so badly. Why? Because according to this verse, if you’ve lost it, you can’t get it back. It’s impossible to go back and become saved again. So obviously they usually change their mind real quick. They say, why? I came close to losing it. I didn’t really lose it. If you, it’s really saying that once you’re saved, you don’t have to go back and become saved again because you’re saved forever.

What you need to do is become serving again. recommit yourself. That’s right. And then also say like I had the peace the other day and I knew I had the assurance and then like the next day I didn’t see anything or nothing just like it. I know you shouldn’t go by feeling me, you know what I’m saying? Just like it’s going and good. You can’t go by your feelings at all. In fact, you need to this is a good good verse I’d like to recommend to you.

First John 513, read it every day. It says these things God says, have I written unto you that believe on the name of the son of God that you may KNOW know, not hope not guess that perhaps not maybe, you could know that you HAVE that’s present tense that you possess right now eternal life. So God says you can know you have eternal life and I know it because God said it not because of a feeling. You sure have helped me sir, sure appreciate it.

If I have a talent that can think you’re shy or scared just go ahead and think the Lord anyway. Amen. And keep reading 1 John 513. Thank you sir. You’ve been a wonderful big tremendous help to me. Oh great. Well you keep listening every day there in West Virginia. Thank you. I’m not working. I’m in need of a job right now. Okay. I have my best. Alrighty. Thank you. Call in West Virginia and we are now going to Reginald in Tampa Florida.

Reginald, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Ah, come on, Dr. Hank. Hold on a second. Oh, let me get control of myself, Pat. Okay. Ah, my foot’s just passed away. I’m so sorry. He wants to use you and if he prompts you to do something you really ought to do that and Was your sister a believer that you know the Lord of their Savior? Yes, she did praise the Lord Well, you’re gonna be able to rejoice about that because you’ll you’ll see him again And that’s the great great part but no doubt about it when God prompts us to do something.

But learn from it and just say, I’m never going to let that happen again. And I know exactly how you feel because I’ve been, in fact, that really got me going serving the Lord many years ago. I had a roommate whose mother was dying of cancer. And I knew that I ought to tell him, I ought to tell him how he could lead his mom to Christ and ought to have led my roommate to Christ at college. But I didn’t and his mother died and I felt so badly.

I just couldn’t live with myself. I said, Lord, I will never let that happen again. I’m going to start telling people how to go to heaven and I’m not going to keep my mouth shut in the future. And so it can be used of God now as a way of making sure that you don’t let those kind of mistakes happen again. So I would say, Lord, I’ve learned my lesson and I’m gonna, when you prompt me, I’m gonna do it in the future.

Let me watch, strip. Well, I think that the Lord knows that we make mistakes and he wants to continue to use this. Look at you at 1 Corinthians 10-13 and I think that’ll be a good one. God will obviously always want to use you. Thank you Reginald for calling in. We have to go to break now and I hope you’re enjoying the Bibleline program. I hope everybody listening is trusted Christ and Savior. Again, if you could help Bibleline, we are listener supported.

We’re going to do a second half hour right now, so keep your radio tuned right where it is, and we’re going to begin right now with a second half hour of Bibleline. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break and this is Bible on this. Great to be with you. I’m Dr. Englund. Lindstrom and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church.

And I’ll tell you, we’re excited about how we’re able to be able to talk to you and enter into your world through the radio and through the internet. And God really has obviously opened a great door for us. And we get so many wonderful notes and letters and cards of encouragement from those of you that listen. And it really does make us excited. We hear them on the program as well, and you hear them as you hear people that are grateful, that they tell me, set free, as the Bible says, you shall know the truth.

And the truth shall set you free. To know that you’re saved, know that you’re saved eternally. To know that that you cannot be lost, that you cannot be cast out. That Jesus in Hebrews 13.5 said he would never leave you and he’d never forsake you. You just can’t beat that, it’s wonderful. This is Friday, I hope you’ll attend church someplace this weekend, if you’re in driving distance, you’re welcome to come and visit our worship service 10.30 Sunday morning. If you can’t, you could visit our service online on the internet, that’s right.

many people do that from all over the country and different parts of the world. Go to BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the camera on the home page and do that at 11 o’clock Sunday morning and there will be a screen there that will say worship service about to begin. And as soon as I begin the message, the audio and the video will come up and you’ll be able to watch the service and you can usually just right click on the picture and go to zoom and zoom it out and fill your whole screen.

And if you have a big monitor, some people have these great big television screens that serve as a monitor as well and they can get a 52 inch picture of me bringing the message. You might want to try to get the full screen picture and watch the worship service from wherever you are. In any case, go to church someplace this Sunday and I hope you have a good Bible believing teaching church you can attend and if you don’t, you can certainly join our worship service on the internet.

And we have a third Sunday coming up when we have an interview living driving distance. That would be a great Sunday to actually physically come by. Join us for the 1030 service. Be my I guess bring your Bible, your appetite, your family and stay for the lunch that will follow. It’s a great home cooked food and we’ll have a great time of fellowship. And what we’re going to do the 17th of August on the third Sunday is in the afternoon have a baptism at a lake nearby by blind headquarters.

And if you’ve not been water baptized since you’ve been saved, if you’re in driving distance, We would be just honored to be the one to baptize you. And we have people coming from a distance that would like to be included. Maybe your church doesn’t baptize at all. Or maybe they sprinkle or do something else. But we actually put you under the water, which is the biblical way. It’s a picture of a complete cleansing that occurs, not by water, but by the blood of Christ.

And it’s a testimony of how you have been cleansed of your sin by the blood of Christ. If you would like to be a part of this baptism coming up, call and get your name on the list. Call our 800 number and tell our operators and we’ll get you the information you need. And you can be a part of that third Sunday baptism at three o’clock in the afternoon. Come and make it a day. Come for the morning worship at 10.30.

Come stay for the lunch that will follow. and then stay with us through the baptism and then you can head on home. We sure would like to hear from you today if you’d like to call in. Let me have you write that number down right now. 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. And we’d love to have you do that. We have some off-air questions. I want to take one first of all here from Bruce. In Pinrose, Colorado, and he leaves this off your question.

He says, I am a Jewish believer. Thanks for your ministry. It was brought to my attention that the church I attend has signed a letter to President Bush to divide Jerusalem in the peace process. Do you think that this has anything to do with replacement theology? And I absolutely do, Bruce. I’m sorry to hear you. that but there are many churches that have bought into the false teaching that God is done with Israel and it’s just not true. In fact if you go back and listen to my past two sermons on the internet I talk about this awful doctrine which really has those who claim to be Christian and name the name of Christ actually turning against Israel in in their actual practical beliefs like trying to divide Jerusalem.

Well Bruce goes on in his offer a question and says, it made my heart very heavy as I was instrumental in helping build this body out here in Colorado. Well that is sad, but the church has definitely departed. question he asked is what do you know about the vineyard church if anything and that is of course one of those that is far out as far as the Pentecostal experiences their people would become dogs in the spirit or birds in the spirit or elephants in the spirit people would begin on all fours and bark running around the floor of the auditorium saying that this is a movement of the Holy Spirit this is all false and the vineyard movement believes You can lose your salvation, which is false.

It believes you can lose your salvation, which makes salvation by works. Definitely, you don’t want to be a part of that. Last question asked by Bruce in Pimrose, Colorado. He says, will Jewish believers be a part of the Rapture? And the answer is absolutely. If you’re a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, whether you’re Jew or Gentile, you’ll be raptured up. And that’s good news. Well, thank you, Bruce. And Bruce says, may God bless you. And we certainly will be praying for you.

We have Nathaniel in Belgley, Florida, and Nathaniel, welcome the Bible, and you’re on the air. Nathaniel, you’re on the air. Yes, sir. What’s the question? Yes, sir. Bob, Hank. Yes, sir. The person I call by the Supeh and Vaid, you know, he gets hands, but you know, he’ll see you. But this guy wasn’t on the line. he wasn’t or it relation to me and uh… he got a feeling that that there is and i went back up to see him that passed away but i think that there is a lot of you know but he was out you know he didn’t seem to know nobody knows nothing and uh…

is it in a way that they could be saved if they don’t they’re not in the right mind i couldn’t do nothing no leading to the law uh… with any way if he was out his mind coffee didn’t know anything Yeah, I don’t ever discount it. I would, I talked to them, whether they can respond or not, because I hear stories of people that seem to be totally out of it, can’t communicate that I actually can hear and can respond and can trust the Lord.

So I would just slowly share the gospel with them. And sometimes if you’re holding their hand, you can tell them to squeeze your hand if they hear you and if they’re responding and I’ve had them do that before even though they look like they’re totally out of it and Can’t hear a thing. So I never give up as long as there’s life in their body and I would definitely try to present the gospel to them if you have any doubts about their salvation and Give it a try Hope that helps Nathaniel.

Thank you Nathaniel for calling in we have now Matthew in spring Hill Florida and Matthew Wait a minute. I have Maryland in Largo, Florida, Maryland. Welcome to Bibleline down you’re on the air This is in Maryland. Oh, I’m sorry. My name is Rob and I do have a question for you. I’m wondering, are there echelons in heaven? You know, you hear a lot about the rewards that you will receive in heaven for the things that you do on earth.

And I know it’s not work that gets you there, but that you are judged by the things that you do here. Are there people that are high in heaven and people that are low in heaven because I know for one I’ll be just happy to be the floor sweeper there. So, could you respond to that please? I sure will. You know, the wonderful thing is that we’ll all have access to the Lord, we’ll all be able to approach His throne.

We’ll all, as in the New Jerusalem, there’s only one street, so we’ll all live on the same street. We’ll all be living in the New Jerusalem, which is God’s heavenly city. But there will be some that will be rewarded more greatly than others. And I think part of that reward will be to be able to reflect the glory of God in a greater way than others. So there will be some differences and I believe the rewards are eternal. So I think we really ought to be motivated by the rewards.

If you read Hebrews 11, you see a lot of it, you see Moses for example, it says he esteemed the reproach of Christ, greater riches than the treasures that were in Egypt. So if he had chosen to be Pharaoh, he could have had all the earthly riches that he’d Japan as Pharaoh, but he chose the riches that God would give him in heaven as greater than that and chose therefore to suffer affliction with God’s people. And obviously he didn’t have an easy job taking over the leadership of that nation, a bunch of murmurs and grumblers and complainers and the wilderness and he had to lead him around for forty years and here are all their complaints but Moses was obviously made the right choice and the rewards in heaven he said would far outweigh the rewards he could have had as compared with being Pharaoh of

Egypt. So there are those differences. Thank you for the call and we appreciate your calling in. That was I believe Robin. We now have Matthew in Spring Hill and Matthew, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. hey hank if only we were a motivated to store credit and heaven as we were to get cars and dwelling places on even and i got a question of listening to you uh… the second peter class on cd and uh… somewhere in there i don’t know exactly where but you mentioned uh…

uh… passage in the old testament that said that god was going to send a curse on israel or on the world i don’t remember which one with but the word for curse was the word allah you know what passage that is do you remember i sure do it’s interesting that it’s daniel and you’ll know these numbers nine eleven in that interesting and it says because of his real disobedience that god would send a curse upon them and upon the whole world and the word curse is in the hebrew the word allah so obviously we are experiencing that curse today of islam that would like to kill all of us and destroy us and to blow up our cities and destroy our people and to destroy Israel.

We know we’re living in the last days and it sees, it’s very clear, Daniel 9-11, the word curse is used in the English there, but if you look up the Hebrew word, it is Allah. So Allah is the curse that would come upon the world in the last days and we certainly are seeing, and aren’t we? Ever since what? The verse address is 9-11. Wow, is that a coincidence or what? That’s interesting. You think one that says there in the verse that Israel didn’t heed the voice of the Lord?

Do you think that’s Jesus, right? Well, yeah, it’s the Old Testament Scriptures, but absolutely it’s the same thing. And so to disobey God and to reject His Word brings a curse. Obedience to the Lord brings the blessing as a Christian. As we talked about James today, James 125 says, blessed is the one who not only hears the word of God but keeps the word of God. And blessed are those that do the things that God’s word tells them to do.

And so as we are obedient as Christians, we’ll be blessed. If we’re disobedient, we’ll be cursed. Amen. Thank you, Hank. Okay. But we’re still saved. by grace if we are saved, we’re saved eternally and can never be lost. If you’d like to call in that phone number is 1-800-576-3771. We have Tony in Miami. Tony leaves this off question, John 1-12, it says what does it mean? When it says receive him, John 1 12 says to his many as receive him talking about Christ.

The last phrase of John 1 12 tells us how we receive Christ. It says to them that believe on his name. The word believe is best expressed or translated as trust. And when you trust on his name that Jesus is God who took on flesh, you see the name Jesus comes from two Hebrew words, Yahweh, God’s personal name, and Yahshah, which means salvation, the contraction is Yeshua. In English, it spell Jesus. And so when you trust on his name, that Jesus is the God of the Bible that would come and save you in the person of the Messiah, that God would save you.

And so we receive him by trusting on his name. Tony, I hope that that helps and thank you for that call. We have Natisha in the Bahamas that called in. We’re heard on the Miami station over in the Bahamas and Natisha calls in with this offer question. She says, I have heard that the Antichrist will be cloned. Could you tell me if there’s any truth in this? I don’t believe that at all. So I don’t know where you’ve gotten that.

There will only be one Antichrist that is the man who Satan will empower and dwell. There are many that are empty Christ, but they’re not the end of Christ. The end of Christ will be revealed after the rapture, and he’ll become a world dictator. He’ll make Hitler look like a good guy, but he will not be cloned. We’re now going to go to Benjamin in Clearwater, and Benjamin, welcome to Bible on your on the air uh… twenty two uh…

say about the laddet and uh… or we have to be there and i believe or the it’s good for the uh… hero of people if we want to be in heaven it because in heaven we’re going to get sick to of what No, not at all. This is an eternity. Revelation chapter 22 talks about the New Jerusalem. It talks about the tree of life will be there and it’ll be planted right by the river of life in heaven and that we’ll be able to go and enjoy the fruit of that tree.

It’ll have 12 different choices, 12 different fruit all at one time, bearing fruit all year long. And it says there that the leaves of that tree will be for the healing of the nations. If you look up the Greek word therapeutic it means really for the enjoyment of the nations. So I envision taking some kind of a cup or glass scooping up some of that wonderful water from the river of life, taking a few leaves from the tree and stirring them around in my glass and having the most refreshing drink you’ve ever had.

You know So we take tea leaves and put them in our water and what do we get? Tea or hot tea, cold tea or whatever and it’s a refreshing drink. Well can you imagine what it would be like to stir those leaves from the tree of life in a wonderful glass of pure water from the river of life? I believe that’s what I was talking about. No, nobody will be sick Benjamin but hopefully Benjamin is already hanging up to get that answer but I believe that’s the answer.

We have Dave now in St. Petersburg and Dave welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Oh, you know what, after. Do you know anything about a JR church, Proxing the News? Yeah, he’s a very interesting prophetic teacher. He’s a big speculator and he doesn’t always get it right but he’s pretty right on. Yes, you do it. I’ve met him and I’ve talked with him and he’s written quite a few books and I have a lot of his publications. He’s the one I think that was pointing out Christ in the Psalms and obviously he has kind of alluded to some dates for the Lord’s return by different Psalms lining up with the years that we’re living in and they’ve come and gone but I like him a lot and he has some good teachings.

Yeah, well that’s what I was calling about it because in that book on the hidden prophecies of the Psalms, it’s actually pretty interesting to use some of the dates that he was talking I’d say, not always right, but… It doesn’t involve the dates, so a lot of the dates are interesting to look at, and of course we’re in that time when Christ is going to come back. I just think he made a conclusion as to actually when Jesus would have arrived and got that wrong, but he’s pretty good.

It looks like if you read Psalm 108 through Psalm 118 and put that into 2008 through 2018. It’s really pretty interesting what’s going to happen in 2008, besides it’s going to be a war in Israel. And in 2009, in Pissah 109, it kind of talks about the antichrist. Well, you know, I find it fascinating. He got me to re-look at the Psalms as a result of all that, and I think it’s very good. And so I like the JR Church and I think he gets uscms to do a little bit of thinking there when we read the Psalms in that there are more than just Psalms that were or hymns that were sung a long time ago, but they have great prophetic significance and do apply it to today.

And we just don’t always get it right when we try to apply it. it. Yeah, I try to set dates on us like that, but I just said you look at the listeners out there, read Psalm 108 through 118 and it kind of gives you a vision of the entire war and the Amherd getting and the Antichrist and just reread them again. You’re right on Dave, I think you’re absolutely right. And Jay, our church has a lot of insight into that.

well thank you time and they’ve been uh… thank you for calling in they’ve from uh… clear water and uh… finding impossible hang that line up now we have time enrichment virginia and tom welcome to buy more your own ear uh… handkerist dot the book and at the new headlines and uh… we’re noticing that omer is going to be stepping down to the timber of course that’s that’s the uh… pieces trumpets coming up right there and also look like netney alton is probably going to be there saying he’s the probable winner and he’s obviously he’s a political hawk who i don’t think he’s gonna waste much time with dealing with iran i just wonder what your comments on that would be i i think this year has uh…

a lot to uh… uh… have happened before it’s over and and and it could be the whole middle east of light up like a firecracker uh… he’s i believe gonna attack iran iran will probably be tallied against our bases in Iraq and will actually fire on Israel. So things are going to happen. And it could be, of course, if this is the year that he comes, this feast of trumpets, it could happen as a part of that whole scenario.

Because I think that the tribulation will be underway if those things happen probably. And it looks like it’s going to happen this year. I think Israel can’t wait any longer. They’re running up against the clock. Plus, they don’t really want to risk having another president in power. Bush will cooperate with their attempt to attack Iran. But the next president may not. So Israel knows that they have to move quickly. And I think they’re going to do it this year.

And I think we need to be watching for the Lord to come back and keep your eyes on the Middle East. And certainly Jerusalem. The Bible says, pray for the peace of Jerusalem. And obviously, as Jerusalem goes, so goes the world. If Jerusalem is not at peace, and the world is not at peace, that’s what we see today. But it won’t be until Jesus comes back, that the city of Jerusalem will be at peace when Christ comes back to Jerusalem.

And then of course, the whole earth will be at peace as the Bible says peace will flow from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth when Christ returns. So we’re living in the last days, and whether it happens this year or not, I don’t know, but I’m looking up. I’m fully aware that Jesus could come. He could come this year. So I think it’s exciting stuff. Thank you for that call Tom. And we now are going to offer a question, Rodney in Richmond, Virginia.

Says, can you lose your salvation if you decide not to believe in Jesus as your savior? No Rodney, you can’t. And once you trust Christ, you’re stuck. You cannot get out of it. You’re going to heaven with you like it or not. It’s too bad, so sad, and unfortunately, actually, fortunately, you can’t lose it. Let me give you a great verse. 2 Timothy, chapter two, write this one down. It says in verse 13, 2 Timothy 2, 13, if we believe not, yet God abideth faithful, he cannot deny himself.

So even if you stop believing, God cannot break his promise. He saves you at the instant you trust Christ. And it says in 2nd Timothy 2, 13, even if you stop believing that God is faithful and cannot break his promise, so you’ll still be saved and that’s good news, isn’t it? There’s nothing that can undo your salvation. Romans 8, 38 says, I am persuaded that neither death their life, their angels, their principalities, their things present, their things to come, their height, their depth, or any other creation shall be able to separate me.

From the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. Once you become saved, nothing, nothing can separate you. Nothing can undo it. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and it’s Friday. We have to go. I hope you’ve trusted Christ. If you haven’t, just say, Lord, I am a sinner. And that’s just being honest. But what I’ve heard made sense to me and I trust Jesus Christ right now as my Savior, as my only hope of reaching heaven, as the one who died to forgive my sin and give me the gift of the Lord.

and give me the gift of eternal life. And God will save you. It’s the most important decision you’ll ever make in your life. Bibleline is running a little bit behind. If you could help us during these summer months, it would be great. Would you call and give a gift to Bibleline? And assure that you would still hear us on your station wherever you are.
