and I hope you’ll be listening and passing that word along to your friends. And of course, if you can, we’d love to have you come by. We’d love to get a chance to meet you. Our Resource Center is open every day till about 4.30 in the afternoon. And we’d love to have you come by and we’ll get a chance to meet you. And you’ll get a chance to meet us. And that would be great. By the way, if you can’t, if you live in another city, we invite you to go to the internet.

And there you can see our Resource Center by going to BibleLineMinistries.org. and clicking on the online bookstore, and you’ll be visiting our resource center, and you can order directly off of the internet site. Also, you can catch our radio programs, which are streamed right now to the internet, and you can go and listen right now off of the internet from anywhere in the world. Plus, you can of course go back and archive during the week and catch all of the programs at your pleasure, at your best time of day, and I hope you will.

You can download them in the MP3 format for your iPod. We have podcasting, we have all those kind of things, all free. You can get these programs and download them into your computer and listen to them as often as you like. There’s about two years of programs sitting there if you want to go back and start downloading them. We also have our worship services on the internet. We had a lot of folks watching from all over the world yesterday and that was during the live service.

But in archive, we have a years worth of sermons all sitting there waiting for you to take a look at. By the way, we have our brochure for the Israel trip coming up next February on our website. If you go to BibleLineMinistries.org, click just about the camera. If Bibleline News, you’ll find it comes up and it’ll say Israel Tour brochure, click on that, and you’ll be able to see the full brochure of the trip planned for this coming year.

And of course, if the Lord comes back before that, we’re gonna cancel that trip and cancel that everything else. But who knows when the Lord is gonna come back? But we believe he certainly could be coming back at any time. He’s coming and coming very soon. We have lots of things in our resource that we’d like to call to your attention. We have about 40 different series on the Bible. My teaching’s 10 to 12 hours on CD. One is called the Rapture.

If you’re having any problems with the Rapture, we cover all the different positions, the pre-trib Rapture, the mid-trib Rapture, the partial Rapture, the pre-rath Rapture, the post-fibrillational Rapture, and of course, the no-rapture position. And talk about what the Bible really does say. I think you’ll find it fascinating. Got one on the Holy Spirit, 12 hours of teaching on the Holy Spirit, dealing with who the Holy Spirit is and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We have one called How to Lead Souls to Christ.

Ten hours of teaching. That was powerful. About three weeks in people were telling me that they were already leading people to Christ, and many had taken several other evangelism classes, and they never did learn how to lead a soul to Christ. But the one we did was very effective. Never did learn how to lead a soul to Christ. But the one we did was very effective. And when we finished all of the tips. The last of the 10 hours the whole class broke into spontaneous applause.

It was a it was an exciting class. A lot of people got motivated to take the gospel to the lost. We’ve got one on parables. Parables are not meant to reveal truth, but to conceal truth. And we cover some of the most difficult parables and show how to interpret them biblically so that you come out with the right interpretation. And that is very important, especially. when you’re dealing with parables because most people get them wrong. Most commentaries that I have on my shelf will give you an absolutely wrong interpretation of the parables.

You might want to get that series on the parables. And we have many, many more plus many on different books of the Bible. Somebody was interested in prophecy this weekend and I said, well, you might as well get the book of Revelation. Wow, what a great book that when is verse by verse and I think you’ll enjoy the 12 hours of teaching on the book of Revelation, verse by verse, and also the book of Daniel. But we’ve got many, many, many more.

There’s about 40 different presentations. Some of them now are available on not only CD, but also available on DVD. So if you want to watch as well as hear, you’ll be able to do that. Good to be with you. It’s Monday. We’ll be taking callers in a little bit. Would you like to write our phone number down? I hope you will. 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. Give me a call. We’d love to hear from you. And I hope you’ll, if you have a question, call in and we’ll get up on the air with you and talk and answer it.

And if not, you can leave it as an offer question and we will try to then take it as soon as we can. There’s lots of other questions already waiting for us and we’ll put yours up as one of those and try to get to them as quickly as we can this week. If you have your Bible there, open it if you will to Isaiah 48, Isaiah 48. Very fascinating passage here in the Old Testament. Isaiah 48, God says here is something fascinating about all of us.

He says in verse 4 of Isaiah 48, because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thou brow brass. God is saying we’re brass-headed, iron neck, hard to be convinced, stubborn, obstinate people. I’ll never forget first discovering this passage. And I said, whoa, that is an accurate description of me. Well God knew us as a human race. And He says, I know you’re obstinate. I know your brass headed. I know your iron neck.

So therefore, verse five, God says, I have even from the beginning declarative to thee, the next phrase is fascinating. Before it came to pass, I showed it thee. You know, the Bible tells history before the history takes place. Nearly one quarter of the Bible is history written before the history happens. And this is the most incredible book. The Bible is really the latest news today. If you want to get tomorrow’s news today, get your Bible out, because this is what we have here in the Bible.

I oftentimes watch the news and watch it catch up with the Bible and I’ll say to myself, I knew that was going to happen. And I knew this was going to happen. I knew that was going to happen because I’ve already read my Bible and I’ve read tomorrow’s news already by reading the Bible today. Isn’t that amazing? God says here, before it came to pass, I showed it thee, and then he says, lest thou should I say mine idol hath done them and my graven image of my molten image hath commanded them.

In other words here’s the answer to all the religions of the world. God says well let’s you should say well this religion is right or that religion is right or my opinion is right or this group is right. God says I want you to know my Bible is right because I’m going to tell you things before they come to pass so that you can know that they are written by me. It says in verse 6, you have heard and you see all this, and will you not declare it?

In other words, God says when you see the evidence, when you see what are written in the Bible, won’t you admit or declare that this truly has to be the word of God? He says in verse 6, I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou dis not know them. Here he talks about things that we didn’t know before we knew them being written about in the Bible, and it’s absolutely uncanny. It’s always right on.

Verse 7, it says, they are created now and not from the beginning. Even before the day when thou hurt us them not, lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them. God says, don’t pull that one on me. Don’t tell me you knew these things because you didn’t know them. I want to tell you before you know them, before man discovers them, I will tell you. One of the interesting things is not only is a fourth of the Bible history written before the history takes place, but God also, when it deals with science, and the Bible is not written to be a scientific book, but God who is the Creator certainly knows all about science and it’s accurate whenever it touches on science and you know that Isaiah 4022 tells us the earth is round several thousand years before Columbus ever sailed the ocean blue in 1492.

That’s right man for the most part believe the earth was flat for thousands of years when the Bible taught it was round and all of a sudden man catches up with the Bible and realizes that the earth is around sphere. You know in Isaiah 40 and this is a fascinating passage, God is saying basically that if you don’t know your Bible you are ignorant and God says haven’t you known, haven’t you heard, have not been told you from the beginning, have you not understood from the foundation of the earth in other words where have you been, where have you been keeping your head in the sand?

Verse 22 of Isaiah 40 says it is God that sits upon the circle of the earth. What shape is a circle? Well, it’s round. It’s talking about the earth being round. But more interesting than that, the Hebrew word translated circle is a word that means sphere. The Bible actually talks about the Bible rather the earth being a round sphere. And here it says it’s God. He sits upon the the sphericity of the earth and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers.

What an amazing verse from God’s vantage point. If you ever get up high and look down, people on the earth look like little insects, don’t they? Well, you find that God looking down upon the earth, he sits above the spherical earth that we have and here the Bible teaches that long before Columbus and then Magellan who made the journey around the earth showing and demonstrating that the earth is round. said it, I knew you were absent. I knew you were brass headed.

I knew you were iron necked. I knew you’re hard to be convinced. I’m going to tell you things you didn’t know. Don’t you tell me that you already knew it because you didn’t. And here, fully 2000 years before Columbus, the Bible tells us the earth is round. By the way, it also goes on to say here that God stretches out the heavens as a curtain. Wow. Well, you know, that’s an amazing fact It was also just recently discovered by James Hubble, noted for the Hubble telescope named after him.

He has discovered to us that the universe is expanding outward. What better description could you have than what God says here in this wonderful verse, not only is the Earth round that God sits above the suversity of the Earth, but God stretches out the heavens as a curtain. Well, they were stretching out when Isaiah wrote this about 780 years before Christ came the first time about 2,800 years ago. But they’re still stretching out to this very hour. The universe is stretching out and it’s moving outward.

And the Bible here told us that long before James Hubble ever discovered it. Let me go over to Job Chapter 26 for you for just a moment. In Job, chapter 26, written 3500 years ago. That’s a long time ago, 3500 years ago. That’s 1500 years before when Christ came 2000 years ago. In Job 26 verse 7, it says, God stretches out the North over the empty place and hang at the earth upon nothing. an amazing concept. The Bible says the earth is suspended in space upon nothing thousands of years ago.

Now that isn’t what was believed. If you read what men believed down through the centuries, the Egyptians believed that the earth was a saucer held up by five pillars and they had a ring amount of, they had mountains around the edge of the saucer to keep the, the water from running off. Well, obviously that doesn’t match what we know today to be truth. But the Bible says the earth is simply hung in space upon nothing. The Greeks believe that the earth was on the back of that list.

That Atlas struggled to hold the earth in place. That belief of the Greeks was so widespread around the world, even to this day when you go to a library and you get a book of maps, it’s called an Atlas. You got it right. Amazing, isn’t it? The Hindus believed the earth was on an elephant’s back and that the elephant was standing on a turtle that was swimming in a cosmic sea. I kind of like that one. That kind of sounds neat.

But you know, that’s not even true. The Bible doesn’t include the myth that the earth is not. the fear to hold a superstition of past ages, but the Bible got it right. It says, God hangs the earth in space upon nothing. Isn’t that amazing? And today we know that to be a scientific thing. Absolutely no visible support as the earth is hung in space. You can’t do any better than the Bible is done. If you ask a scientist what holds the earth in place, he’ll say, gravity.

Then if you ask him, well what is gravity? He’ll say, well that’s what holds the earth in place. They just kind go round in the circle. But if you notice also this verse, Job 26-7, it says, God stretches out the north over the empty place. What is that talking about? Nobody knew until the 200-inch telescope at Mount Palomar in California where they discovered a void in the north where there are no stars. That’s right, an empty place. The Bible describes it long before man ever discovered it.

You know it’s amazing how the Bible is amazingly accurate. There are three separate observatories today that are talking about this void in the north, a corridor, an empty place where there are no stars whatsoever. And according to the scientists, they’re saying it is so large that it actually could hold 2,000 Milky Way, no Hershey bars, but I’m teasing. But we’re talking about the Milky Way galaxy. You know, The Milky Way galaxy is 100,000 light years across. That means light traveling at 186,000 miles per second would take 100,000 years to go from one end of the Milky Way galaxy to the other.

This void in the north is so large it will hold 2,000 Milky Way galaxies. Woah! It’s also believed that the Bible teaches that heaven is in the north. That’s probably where God is. You know, in Leviticus 1, 11 and 12, it says that they would offer the sacrifices northward to the Lord. While it implies that God is in the north, and that’s where the places the Bible describes this empty place, this void where heaven itself is. Satan, when he wanted to overthrow heaven, God knew his thoughts, and in Isaiah 14, 13, he said, I will ascend into heaven, that I will sit upon the mountain of the congregation in the sides of the north.

Get that visible picture of this corridor having sides and it’s an empty place where heaven itself is. That’s where Satan wanted to go to overthrow God. Wow, God says, look, I know you’re obstinate. I know you’re brass-headed. I know you’re iron neck, but I’m gonna tell you things you could not possibly have known. Don’t you tell me you already knew them because you didn’t. He says, I’m gonna tell you these things so you can know that this Bible is my word.

I’m Dr. Englunds from Mrs. My Blind. We’re gonna go to the phone lines. 1-800 is the number 576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. Give us a call. We would love to hear from you today. If you haven’t trusted Jesus as your Savior, let me just say there’s only one way to heaven. And that is Jesus Christ. We’re not saved by religion. We’re not saved by church membership. We’re not saved by baptism. We’re not saved by our good works or our good deeds. were saved by what God did for us through Christ at the cross of Calvary where he died and shed his blood to pay our sin dead and full was buried in rose again from the dead when we trust that he did that for us God saves you.

Okay we’re going to now go to the phone lines here 1-800-576-3771 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to go to Joyce, and she’s calling in from Largo, Florida. Joyce, welcome to Bible On Your On The Air. Yes, good morning. How are you this morning? I get home from Lake Home, where I was at the Winnipeg Department store, and I was late getting home last night. That was a gentleman called Don Stewart. I waited to get his name. And he was both the hill and these people with green handkerchiefs.

I just couldn’t believe it. I was just watching. And he said he was coming from X-19 chapter. So I read X-19 and I was reading what it says. But I also was reading my concordance when it says Burf and Dead. What is it? But when drivers were hardened, they believed could not be as Catholic, but someone rejected his mission. Paul probably spoke in a lecture hall and was telling where he was speaking. And they said, we were a vagabond, Jews were people who traveled from town to town, making it living by claiming to heal and cast out demons.

All of whom they would receive a whole list of names and an incarnation to be sure of, including the right dignity. Here they were trying to use Jesus’ name in an effort to match Paul’s powers. You know, it just behooves me that people need to sit down and read the word because we always will have sickness in the land. It’s not going to go away. All people are not going to be healed. Jesus too might make you some people to heal, but I just couldn’t believe this.

Men used in this green handkerchief, though I know these people are supposed to be healed in them. Well, today there’s a lot of show that’s out there and I do believe that God, when it’s within His will to heal, can and does heal. But he doesn’t have any divine healers today. The gift of healing is gone. It was a temporary gift. And when it was operative, they could raise the dead. They could replace missing flesh. Obviously, none of these things are happening today.

They could restore sight to the blind and speech to the dumb and the lame would walk. But today, this is not happening. I wish it were. If it were, then they could come to town and go to the hospitals and just empty them out. I heard you say that last week and I just if it was me how do you people just run to these people and they say beware of signs and wonders you don’t follow these people. That’s right.

Well you’re right on Joyce and I agree and there’s a lot of them out there now. It’s an indication that we’re in the last days because Jesus said in Matthew 24 24 that in the last days as a sign of His coming there would arise false pictures that will show signs and wonders. and it says that they would deceive even many of the very and it’s a good thing to do with the people i know that they know who are you yeah and joyous that you recall i know it’s joys in largo florida we have petered my ami florida peter welcome to bimblain you’re on hi uh…

i’m calling for a first time on them i’m calling because i look at the christian states over the past six years i struggle because sometimes i try to take a testimony though there’s not very ineffective and one of the biggest problems i have is like you said people like you were saying i don’t know what part of the passage i was about to be an officer and stubborn but i don’t know how to defend about because i don’t know about this stuff you got his gold i mean in terms of being able to be told you know convince people that there is a god because you know these things about one fourth of the bible being history always just wondering is there a book you guys tell there’s something i can become more knowledgeable like you about this kind of stuff Well we have some

CDs that I’ve done where we cover some of the real powerful hard-hitting scientific facts and also prophecies of the Bible. And you might want to get some of those. And then of course there is a great book that we carry in our resource center called The Evidence of the Bands of Verdict. And that one is a well-researched book with a lot of documentation that demonstrates many of the prophecies that have been made in the Bible, how they’ve come to pass in its documented it’s really a real fact oh yeah that sounds awesome i’d like to get that so if i if i go on website would be there it’ll be on the website but also you can call and talk to our operators directly just order right over the phone what’s your number it’s one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one you just dialed it and and one last question for me will

they know the cds you’re talking about if i tell them sure if you tell them what you’re looking for they’ll be able to pick out exactly what you’re looking for in a cd Thank you very much. You’re welcome. Thank you, Peter. Peter down in Miami and oftentimes Christians are not able to defend their faith and they don’t know how to prove or demonstrate the Bible’s word of God. And so these are some great resources that I think are very, very convincing to the lost person.

We’re going to go to John now. He’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan and John, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Thank you for taking my call. I was wondering if you would comment on the Texas Receptis and why you think it’s the best to use and then, you know, if anybody today, it seems to me someone to try and make a modern translation using the Texas Receptis and I’ll just hang up and listen. Well, you know, the Texas Receptis was a very ordinary manuscript at the time.

They were all pretty much alike. What has happened today is that most of the newer translations are coming off a man-made Greek text called the critical text that was actually a man-made Greek text. That includes the English Standard Version, the American Standard Version, the New American Standard Version, the NIV, all of these are coming off this man-made text. When you get it, it’s already shredded the Bible. That is a… He was written by a committee of about 15 men in England in the 1880s or 1870s.

And all these translations are coming off this man-made text. So obviously I would rather have a text that is in the raw, like the Texas Receptives, than to come up with a translation that I’m reading that’s already been flawed because they have written their own Greek text and already made all the alterations that they wanted to do. And of course these were greatly influenced by the Vaticanus and the Sinaiticus manuscripts, which were old but I think faulty. I mean the Sinaiticus I’ve been to St.

Catherine’s at the foot of Mount Sinai several times and they had a room where they threw away manuscripts that were flawed and that’s where Erasmus went and found the Sinaiticus and it’s I believe it was flawed from the beginning that’s what was in the trash room. Well, we’re out of time here. We’re going to have to go to our break. I’m Dr. Engleman, this is Bibleline. Cheers, good to be with you. We sure could use your help. Would you consider that, maybe call and say, I’d like to give a gift to Bible and by credit card, or call and say, I’d like an envelope to be sent with your Bible and address on it, and mail us a gift.

We really hate to talk about money, but the only way we have to be on the air is to depend upon our listeners, to partner with us, and to supply the funds to be able to be on the air. So we’re your voice in a sense, and you’re the ones who make it possible for us to speak on the airwaves to so many people. Why not consider praying for Bible and also giving a gift to Bible? And we want to thank you in advance.

God bless you, every one of you who give and pray for Bible and you’re the means by which we’re on the air. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you in advance. By the way, we have a trip planned for Israel. I don’t know that we’ll be able to go. The Lord might come back before we get a chance, but it would be trip number 16 for me. And of course if you are in a good church which you ought to be and you cannot watch it at the live time, the sermon is going to archive and we have a years when the sermon is sitting there waiting for you to take a look at.

I hope you will. We’re talking about going to Israel. I don’t know the Lord might come back before we get a chance to go. I think the Lord is coming as soon. Come be my guest at 10.30. the worship service and then stay for lunch, bring your family, your appetite, your Bible, be my guest. And this particular third Sunday, we’re going to have a good organism in the afternoon at three o’clock. If you’ve not been water baptized, this is a beautiful situation. We go to a lake, beautiful grass lawn, shade trees, it’s just a gorgeous outdoor scene.

And we will be delighted to be able to baptize you. If you don’t have a church home or you don’t have a church where they would immerse or put you all the way under the water as the biblical baptism was done, we would love to have you come and join us. And I would be delighted to be the one to baptize you. That’ll be the 17th of August and three in the afternoon. You’re welcome to come and join us for that baptism service.

So those are some of the things coming up, a dinner and a baptism on the third Sunday of the 17th of August. You’re always welcome to come by any service, any week and be my guest and come on by. But that makes it kind of nice if you’re driving a distance to be able to have the dinner and if you’re going to be baptized, make it a day and enjoy. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We have that phone number again.

By the way, 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And we’re going to go to Lillian in Richmond, Virginia. And Lillian, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hi. Hi there. I just want to know, I’m reading the book of Hosea. And I’m going to travel about Hosea chapter 4. Could you explain that? I’ll give it a try. Let me turn over there to the prophet, Hosea. And this is going to be chapter four. Hose. Hosea, come onRepublic.com. Here we go. And I almost there.

Jose, a chapter four. And we’re looking at verse 11. Hordam and wine. And new wine take away the heart. Is that the verse you’re talking about? Yes sir. Okay, it’s really talking about your discretion is taking away when you get drunk. And obviously… Hordham and Wine kind of go together. People get drunk and they do things they shouldn’t do and this is a verse that is a warning about that. Okay? Okay. Well, very good. Thank you, Lillian. Thank you.

Okay, Lillian in Richmond, Virginia. We’re now going to go to Charles in Tampa, Florida. Charles, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on there. Yeah. Hi, Dr. Hank. Who is Charles from Tampa. long-term Can you explain for me? Not you 24 best protein I hang up and listen. Yes, Matthew 24 13 talks about He that endures that the end the same shall be saved Now it’s not talking about eternal salvation It’s talking about those that are living in the tribulation period that are saved saved, if they manage to endure to the end of the tribulation period, which is only seven years in length, that they will then be saved or spared to live into the millennium.

Let me show you in verse 21 of Matthew 24. It talks about the greatest time of trouble the world has ever seen is about to come on the earth. And it says in Matthew 24, 21, it says, for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time the North shall ever be. Verse 22, it says, except those days should be shortened. And of course, Christ will come back in and shorten it by ending it just seven years.

He won’t let it go seven years in one day or seven years in a week. But seven years he’ll cut it off, end it. He says, except that Christ would end it just seven years, should no flesh be saved. What he’s talking about here is that mankind would annihilate himself and all life on the planet would be extinguished if Christ didn’t come back and cut off the battle of Armageddon and in the tribulation period at just seven years in length.

Verse 13, if you tie it together to verse 22, it’s talking about those that manage to endure to the end of that seven years will then obviously be saved to live into the Millennial Kingdom of Christ. And so it’s talking about a physical salvation, not an eternal salvation, and many people get this wrong. They think that if you’re going to be saved, you have to keep on hanging on. You have to keep on enduring. And the Bible doesn’t say that.

Once you trust Christ, you’re saved, and you’re saved eternally. Grace is the one who saves you and he’s the one that keeps you safe. We’re now going to go to Joe and Palm Harbor, Florida. Joe, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Langston. How are you this morning? Good. Good. I have just a quick question for you and then I’m going to hang up a listen off the air. So in regards to the salvation and loss of salvation, will I be right to say that if a person believes that they could lose their salvation, that they’re not saved at all?

There’s a good chance that they’re not saved at all. The reason why is because Joe, they’re saying that from this point right now until they die, something that they will do or not do will determine whether they make heaven or not. That makes salvation by works. If you’re trying to be saved by your works, the Bible says you will not be saved. The false plan of salvation always takes the loss of dying sinner and points him to his future and tells him that what he does and what he doesn’t do will determine what he makes heaven.

That’s not true. The true plan of salvation takes the lost nine sinner and points him back to the cross of Christ and there Jesus says it’s finished. It’s done. He paid our sin debt in full and he offers us eternal life at the moment we believe and then he not only saves us but he keeps us saved. He says he would never cast us out for any reason, John 637. And he said he would not lose one person that has come to him, John 639.

So, once you’re saved, you’re saved forever. But to say that you could lose it means that something that you’re going to do would cause you to lose it, which means salvation is based on your works that makes you the Savior not Christ and means you’re not saved at all. All right. the reason i said a question that i have a somebody asked me yesterday that you know we’re discussing it and uh… and i said well i believe if you think you can lose your salvation that you not say that all because you’re not fully trusting christ if you fully trust christ then you would believe that you’re safe forever uh…

and they argued that they believe that they can still be saved and yet still believe that they can lose your salvation i just want to kind of get your your opinion on that you know those of the you can lose it really are thinking about works and obviously it may not be on the front of their mind but They’re saying that if they live the Christian life faithfully, that they will make heaven. But if they don’t live it faithfully and they backslide and die, they’ll go to hell.

So they’re really saying how they live their life will determine their salvation. And some of these people are fooling themselves because I heard one fella recently say, I know that I know that I know that I’m saved. And then he said, because he says, I’ll never stop going to church. I’ll never stop praising the Lord. I’ll never stop loving the Lord. Jesus. And what’s he saying? He’s saying he’s going to go to heaven because he won’t stop going to church and he won’t stop praising the Lord and he won’t stop loving Jesus.

Well, that’s works. Well, thank you Dr. Lechman, that clears it up. We appreciate it. We appreciate your ministering God bless you. Thanks a lot, Joe. Joe and Palm Harbor, Florida. And maybe you’d like to call in. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to go now to an off-air collar. We have Bill in Deerfield Beach, Florida, that’s South Florida. And he says, does the Bible speak on suicide and whether or not that person goes to heaven? Well, first of all, let’s go to a great doctrinal passage, Bill.

John 637, Jesus says, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. There’s no exception clause here. It doesn’t say him that cometh to me I will have no wise cast out except they commit suicide. It says him that cometh to me I will have no wise cast out. So there’s really nothing that could cause you to be lost once you become saved. And there are examples in the Bible. For me people that committed suicide and they went to heaven.

Samson, for example, his dying request was that he could push those pillars down and He was tied between when the Philistines were there to taunt him and they had him tied between these two pillars. He pushed on those pillars and he brought the house down. He brought the stadium down. Thousands of people were killed and it says that more were killed in his death than it were in his life. That was actually an act of suicide. Samson died in that and yet he went to heaven.

of the Hebrews of the Bible. So there are many examples in the Bible Saul and his sons also committed suicide and we know they went to heaven and so on. So salvation is a gift and it’s received at the moment you believe in disaster forever thereafter and nothing could ever separate you from the Lord. I love Romans 8, 38 and 39 where it says I am says I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels or things present or things to come nor height nor death nor any other creation shall be able to separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.

My friend, you’re stuck. When you trust Christ, nothing can separate you. Romans 8, 38, 39. We’re now going to Barbara down in Miami, Florida and Barbara, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. How are you? Good. I have a question. I was wondering what God’s will would be for me in my life and my situation and what happened is my husband left me and he’s a Christian. And I was wondering, I know God hates divorce, but does that mean that I can’t get a divorce and if I did, I can’t remarry?

I don’t believe that at all. You know Chuck Swindall has written a wonderful book, we have it in our resource center called Strike the Original Match. And in there he has a chapter about divorce and remarriage. And he covers reasons for a valid divorce. And one of those is if there is a complete abandonment of the marriage by one of the partners. So if one of the persons abandons the marriage and leaves, obviously the innocent party has There’s no choice.

I mean, if he leaves you and he deserts the marriage and it’s over, there’s not much you can do about it. And he teaches that you can, therefore, get remarried in those circumstances. I would recommend you try to get that book by Chuck Swindall called Strike the Original Match. You can call us and get it from our Resource Center. But we found it to be very helpful to those that are struggling with these questions. And I think it is the fairest treatment that at least I have ever read that covers the topic from the Bible using the Scriptures.

And I think you’ll find it good. Oh, excellent. I appreciate it. Thank you so much. I love you’re ministry. Thank you so much Barbara. How about you? Bye bye. All right. That was Barbara down in Miami Florida. We now have Jerry in St. Petersburg and Jerry. Welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Yes. Well, women are really not to speak in the church. They’re not to usurp authority over the men. So that means no women preachers and women can speak, but under the authority of men if they are given permission to give testimony or to sing or to pray, certainly they can do that.

But they were not just to speak out or try to usurp the authority over the men. a man. So in 1 Corinthians 15, I think it also, chapter 14, rather, verse 34, I think it’s also talking about tongues. That women were not to speak in church with the gift of tongues, period. If that were enforced today, the modern day tongues would die because most of those doing the so-called tongues, which what’s being done today is a counterfeit, it’s a gibberish, it would die in a moment because mostly women are doing this.

So any woman I see on a television that a church is, is that whole congregation? I believe it’s wrong. They shouldn’t be following a woman preacher. Obviously, God could have chosen six apostles to be men, six women. He could have chosen half of the deacons in the early church to be women, but he didn’t. had established that men would have that role. Two reasons why. First Timothy chapter 2 gives you the reasons. Number one, because Adam was created first and then Eve.

So man was the first created not woman and therefore he was given the spiritual responsibility to be the leader in the home and in the church. And then secondly, it tells us that Adam was not deceived but Eve was deceived in the Transcration. So women apparently are more easily deceived in spiritual matters. And I really can’t name a good woman Bible teacher out there. I think they all are flawed. Joyce Myers says she hadn’t sinned in the past eight years.

She believes you can lose your salvation terribly. Bad doctrine. And I could go on and on about her bad doctrine, but there’s so many like that. They just don’t, they’re not clear. And I wouldn’t listen to them. you very much in very helpful thank you and appreciate that call it was a gerry and st peterburg we’re now going to go to bernard in tampa and but i don’t want to buy your own ear yes i might question i had two questions one of the ball the last profit of the bible i believe was john i’ll correct about that yes you are i wrote the book of revelation actually right wrote five of the New Testament books, the Gospel of John and the three epistles of John, and then the book of Revelation, that’s a total of five.

And that last book was written around AD 96 at the close of the first century. Alright, and the next question is about 2 Timothy 2 and 16. I will get off the phone and let you explain that to me. All right, I’ll be glad to do that. Second Timothy, 216. Let me get my Bible open and over there. Second Timothy, 216 says, but shun, profane, and vain babblings, where they will increase under more ungodliness. You know, you sometimes can get in conversations with people And they are basically main badblings, none of any substance when they actually are not serious about looking at actual verses and discussing them.

So you just need to get, don’t spend any wasted time in discussions with people that are going all over the place and not serious about wanting to know what the Bible has to say. And it says if you do that, you’ll be smart. thank you so much the nardin hopefully that helps we’re now going to go to david st peterberg and dave welcome to bible and you’re on the air uh… yeah this is probably yet a couple of calls ago and elevation that you have to work out to produce all of a shin and uh…

basically i always go back to luke uh… forty one three forty three to the thief on the cross he didn’t do any of those things all he did was believe on jesus that he went to heaven pretty much the simplest argument the people who keep on saying that you have to confess your sins you have to turn it into to be have to be safe just go to go to those passages way right on and that’s uh… wonderful passage look chapter at twenty three Verse 43, Christ says to that dying thief today.

He also would be with me in paradise. He would say it on the spot, and it wasn’t based on the thing that he had done, but based upon God saving all those that would simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. So Dave, you’re right on. That’s a great illustration. The one that God gave us. And the other thief is an illustration of all that would ever be lost. anybody that dies without Christ, that does not trust Christ a Savior before they die, will spend an eternity in hell.

And the one that believed is an example of all those that would never be saved, those that would simply trust Christ as their Savior. The phone number here at Byblind, 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We have Patty in Tampa, Florida, and she She calls in with the offer question. She says the coworker that sits next to me is Pagan. And is always looking at Pagan websites. Can I protect myself from the evil she might release? She is so lost and she is against Christians.

Well, certainly you can ask the Lord to put a hedge of protection about you. in the book of Job we read that God had put a hedge of protection around Job and protected him. Satan complained about that and he said you’ve got a hedge of protection around Job and just let me have at him and he’ll curse you and of course God allowed Satan to tempt Job but Job never failed. He stayed true to the Lord. So I would just say, Lord put a hedge of protection around me and keep me safe from Satan and his adversaries.

We’re now going to go to George in Tarpon Springs and George, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Earth. Hello, just a quick question about confession. I don’t see it anywhere in the Bible about confessing to a priest or anything like that. Could you elaborate on that and I’ll just listen off there? Well, you’re absolutely right. There is no place at all where it says we confess to men. But it does say in 1 John that as a believer when we sin, it says in 1 John 1 9, if we confess our sins, that is to the Lord, naming by name those things which we know to be wrong or sin, it says he’s faithful and just forgive us our sins and it cleanses from all unrighteousness.

That’s not a salvation verse, but that’s a Christian walk verse as we go about our daily business we do sin and we ought to as we recognize that we have maybe we Said something unkind or maybe we thought an evil thought We ought to just pause to say Lord. I I Recognize that I just sinned and and contest that sin to the Lord and he was he’ll forgive and cleanse You of everything and you’re slated to be clean so you can continue to walk in fellowship with the Lord But salvation, once you trust Christ, your sins are gone past present and future forever because of his one time death at the cross for you.

We’re now going to go to Bobby in Bradenton, Florida, and Bobby, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the Air. Yeah, okay. Now. Yeah, right now you’re on the air. Hello. Hi there. Hi. Oh, I’m enjoying you so very, very much. I heard you all ago speak just a little bit about speaking in tongues, but what is your okay outlook on that or I’m talking fast? Well I believe that tongues is gone. The real gift was a known foreign language given to evangelize and today the counterfeit that began in 1906 out of the Missouri Street, California is a gibberish.

Nobody understands and therefore it’s not the real gift. It says in 1 Corinthians 14-9, except you speak by the tongue, words easy to be understood. How shall it be known what is spoken? You just speak into the air. So obviously, tongues were given to communicate. So unless you speak words easy to understand, this modern day gibberish isn’t understood by anybody. Secondly, 1 Corinthians 14-22 says tongues were for a sign, not to those who believe, but to those who believe not.

So it was to be used with the lost. The modern day gibberish movement does it in a church. She doesn’t use it out in the halls and in the streets with the lost. And so I think we have a totally counterfeit movement today and nobody is speaking in the biblical gift. Thank you for that call. We’re out of time. We’ll be back again tomorrow. I’m Dr. England Stravitz. If you’ve not trusted Christ, would you? Just say, Lord, I am a sinner, and we all are.

But I trust right now, Jesus Christ is the one who died, paid my sin debt and full of the cross was buried, and shed his blood to pay for my sin debt was buried, and came back to him dead. I trust him right now to save me and God will. We’re running short here at Bibleline for the summer. We can use your potential help. If you would call and give a gift, that would be so appreciated.
