GUI Now join us for Dr. Lynchton’s teaching for today as we turn to the Book of Matthew chapter 12. Chapter 12 verse 1. At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the corn and his disciples were hungry and began to pluck ears of corn and to eat. Matthew 12 2, when the Pharisees saw it they said in him, Behold thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day.
said unto them, have you not read what David said when he was hungered and they that were with him, how did he entered into the house of God? That was the temple and did eat the showbread which is not lawful for him to eat needed for them that were with him but only for the priest. Or have you not read in the law how that on the Sabbath days the priest in the temple profane the Sabbath and are blameless, they go about their work and they They are not violating the Sabbath.
But I say unto you in verse 6 that in this place is one greater than the temple. I love that phrase. So here were the Jewish people not recognizing that the very one for whom the temple was created was standing there and he Jesus was greater than the temple. And so they missed it. So here it is in verse 6. But I say unto you that in this place there is one greater than the temple. Jesus Christ was God.
The one from the temple was built and they got all involved in splitting hairs over the rules and missed the greater point. Jesus said, if you’ve done what this mean, I will have mercy and not sacrifice, you would have not condemned the guiltless. So he said, you guys don’t understand what mercy is and how that God would rather have mercy than sacrifice. And so here they had merciless hearts and that was the Pharisees. Verse 8 says, the Son of Man is Lord, even of the Sabbath.
So here was Jesus. He’s greater than the temple. He’s even the Lord of the Sabbath day. Chapter 12 verse 9, and when he departed, he went into their synagogue and behold, there was a man which his hand was withered. And they asked him saying, is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath days that they might accuse him. And he said, and what man shall there be among you that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the Sabbath day, will not he lay hold on it and lift it out?
How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days? While he sure did know how to answer them, didn’t he? Then he said to the man, stretch forth your hand, and he stretched forth, and it was restored whole like as the other. So here in healing is restoration of missing flesh. Here was a man with a withered hand and his restored hold and that kind of healing is not done today.
I believe what we see today is really a counterfeit. I really don’t believe we’re seeing healing today. I think the gift is gone. Although in some cases God can heal within his will, but it’s not always God’s will for someone to be made well. The Pharisees went out at that point and held a counsel against him how they might destroy him. So they wanted to get rid of Jesus. But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence, and great multitudes followed him, and he healed how many?
All. There you’ve seen that phrase before. You might want to mark it again. He healed everybody, which the modern healers do not do. Verse 16, and again he charges them that they should not make him known. But of course you know what they did. They went out and announced it to everybody that it might be fulfilled which is spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying and here’s a wonderful quote from Isaiah chapter 42. There are eight points in this quote.
We’ll look at them in verse 18 as we begin. Behold my servant. Jesus is called the servant of Jehovah. He’s called God’s righteous servant in the Old Testament. And Jesus is that servant that Isaiah spoke about in whom I have chosen or whom I have have chosen. Number two, my beloved and whom my soul is well pleased. These phrases are used about Jesus and Jesus is the fulfillment of it. Number three, I will put my spirit upon him that happened at the baptism of John the Baptist and the Holy Spirit descended upon him like a dove and empowered him for service, his earthly ministry.
Number four, in verse 18, he shall judge me to the Gentiles. And that is also true. Verse 19, number five, he will not strive. He was not a man who used force or swords or weapons nor cry. Then it says here, neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. He wasn’t allowed man or a physical use physical force in the case when except when he drove out the men and changes out of the temple. Verse 20, number six, a bruised read shall he not break?
He was a gentle man and a smoking flax shall he not quench? He was very calm and very deliberate and very gentle. Number seven, tell his sin-fourth judgment unto victory. That’s his second coming when he will come back in all of his power and all of his glory. The number eight is in verse 21. In his name shall the Gentiles trust. And I love this one because obviously most all of us here are Gentiles, if not all, and we have accepted a Jewish Messiah.
And what is interesting is that the true Messiah that Israel rejected was accepted by the Gentiles and near Isaiah had foretold that. So when I’m talking to a Jewish person, I oftentimes say, what Messiah, and there were a bunch of them that appeared to them, that were Jewish men who claimed to be the Messiah, that they accepted. But what Messiah did you all reject that was accepted by the Gentiles. And the answer is only one. And notice it says in his name, which is Yeshua, in English it’s Jesus, shall the Gentiles trust.
So in the name of Jesus, Gentiles would trust in this Messiah. Very powerful. And Jewish people respond to that. So if you ask them what Messiah ever, you know what man who claimed to be the Messiah was rejected by the Jews and accepted by the Gentiles, the answer is Christ. Verse 22, then was brought unto him a man possessed with a demon. It should read not devil, but demon is only one devil, but many demons. And he was blind and dumb.
He healed a man in so much that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. So here’s a man blind and dumb. He’s not able to speak and see. And all the people were amazed. And they said, it’s not this the son of David. That was a messianic title. Isn’t this the Messiah? But the Pharisees who already made up their mind about Christ and rejected his person, When they heard it, they said, this fellow doth not cast out demons, but by bales of Bob the prince of the demons.
So here they were saying, yes, he heals, but he does it by Satan’s power. And Jesus knew their thoughts and said unto them, every kingdom divided against itself is brought into desolation. Every city or house is divided against itself shall not stand. And if Satan cast out Satan, he’s divided against himself. How shall his kingdom stand? And if I by be as a bulb cast out demons by whom do your children cast them out, therefore they shall be your judges.
But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is coming to you. So here he makes a case that he is indeed the Messiah and he was healing by the power of the Spirit of God. Or else how can one inner strong men’s house spoil his goods except he first bind the strong man and then he will spoil his house. He that is not with me is against me. He that gathers not with me scattered at the broad.
So he’s basically saying you have to make up your mind here. And you’re either with me or you’re against me. And then in verse 30 and 31 we have the unpardonable sin. Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin and blaspheme shall be forgiven unto men, but the blaspheme against all he goes shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speak of the word against the Son of Man shall be forgiven him, but whosoever speak of the word, or speak it against the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Now what is that talking about? It’s talking about… The rejection of Christ. I had some paper here that I was going to use, but I’ll just tear this up. And let all these small pieces of paper represent sin. And I’ll let my hand represent Christ. All manner of sin was taken and laid upon Christ and He paid for it. Every kind of a blasphemy, every kind of a sin. But if you reject who Christ is or reject Christ, then you’ll never be forgiven because you’ll have to pay for your own sin.
So basically that’s what Christ is saying here. All men are sin and blasphemation will be forgiven under the sons of men. Christ died for every sin and blasphemy that you could possibly commit. You’re listening to Bible Eye, a teaching ministry that’s dedicated to delivering the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are many items available from our resource center, such as Dr. Hank Lindstrom’s DVD teachings on the topics of predestination, false gospels, and is Lordship Salvation a counterfeit gospel?
In addition to many others, when you call 1-800-576-3771. Now we’re going to take a break from our teaching to listen to Dr. Lindstrom answering questions from callers and then we’ll rejoin today’s teaching. We have Randy and Dunedin, Florida. Hey, Randy. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hi, Dr. Hank. I found out that we’re all in a camp together. I was talking to my pastor after the message and he had closed with the salvation of those who would turn from sin and trust in Christ.
And so I approached him after the service and I said, Pastor, if I could turn from sin, I wouldn’t need to trust in Christ. And I said, if I could turn from sin, then, and so he proceeded to tell me that we’re all part of the camp of easy beliefism. And I said, just the gospel. And he just went on and told me how turning from sin is part of it. And I responded that of course we have to know our position that God is holy and we are not we’re sinners before we can trust in Christ.
But I said that’s pouring works back into the plan of salvation. But we just boiled down to, he said, well, I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree. And a fairly new pastor that’s been in this church for maybe a year and a half. And when he first came, I went to lunch with him and I tried to explain the same thing to him. But it’s just so disheartening to have this disagreement. Well, you know, it’s so basic.
You know, it doesn’t say, for God’s love those who turn from their sin, it says, for God’s love the world. And that’s every one of us. And in Romans 5, it says that Christ loved us and died for us while we were yet sinning in the state of sinning. And He died for sinners. And I love that old hymn Christ received sinful men. And that’s all of us. And there’s no one who can stop sinning. If you claim that you have, then 1 John 5, chapter 1 verse 8 says, if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves.
And the truth is not in us. So we have a sin nature that’s going to take us right to the grave. But we’ll be delivered one day from this wretched body that we live in. Randy, I’ll be praying for you. That’s tough. And I hear it every day from people that it seems like the gospel message is convoluted by people and it’s not right. Have you trusted Christ as your Savior? There’s only one way to be saved. Only one way to go to heaven.
And that is Jesus Himself. Jesus said in John 14, 6, I am the way. I am the truth. I am the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. No man, no woman, no child. No one can come to the Father except by Jesus Christ. If you reject Christ, my friend, you have no chance because there’s no other way. There’s no other way. Peter said it so clearly in Acts 4, 12. He said, neither is there salvation in any other.
For there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be safe. Most churches teach works for salvation. It’s sometimes very subtle, but you have to do something to be saved according to most churches when the Bible says you can do nothing. It’s not of yourself. That our best righteous deeds are filthy rags inside of God Isaiah 64 6. And… and… I have nothing to offer God. You don’t either. I don’t care who you are. I don’t care where you attend or what you do.
You don’t have a thing to offer God. The Bible says your best righteous deeds. or filthy rags in the sight of God. You have to come just as you are. You have to simply recognize your need that you’re lost and headed for hell and you need a Savior and Jesus Christ is that one. And when you come to Him by faith trusting that He made the full payment for your sin was buried and rose again from the dead God saved you.
So most important decision you’ll ever make in your life. I hope you’ve made that decision to trust Christ and Savior. You can do it right now. You could whisper a prayer, you could say something like as follows, I got on a sinner, admit it, we all are. But right now what I just heard made a lot of sense, and I trust Jesus Christ right now, as the one who died and paid for my sins. Infill on the cross by his death and shed blood was buried and rose again from the dead.
I trust Jesus Christ right now to save me, to give me the gift of eternal life. And the moment you do that, God saves you. We’re going to Tony. He’s in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And Tony, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, I’ll get by on this me again. Yes, sir. I wanted to ask you about, uh, it’s a two point math and six, the lowest prayer. Yes. I wanted to ask you about verse 14 and 15 and I was a good confectionate.
They were telling me this prayer in the end times. Is that right? Well, that is right because it’s a prayer for the Kingdom and the Kingdom is offered to Israel, a thousand-year millennial Kingdom where the earth will be at peace and at rest. and obviously that was a prayer for that time because Christ was here on the earth. He is the king and Israel rejected him as king and therefore the kingdom has been postponed. But if you notice the words there in Matthew chapter 6, it says, Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come.
So it’s a prayer for this kingdom to come and it goes on to say about that kingdom that thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. During the Millennium Christ will be here and also we as believers will come back in our glorified bodies and help Christ rule and reign. And so the heavens will rule over the earth during this wonderful kingdom. Daniel spoke about a time when the heavens would rule over the earth and that’s the millennial kingdom when Christ comes back.
Right now we’re not waiting for the kingdom, we’re not praying for the kingdom. We are looking forward to the Rapture when Christ will snatch us down and take us up to you with the Lord. Everybody in this age, Tony, from Pentecost tele-rapture is a member of the body of Christ which is called the Church. And the Church is a unique body. It’s the bride of Christ. And when Christ comes back at the Rapture, He catches His bride up to meet Him.
And then we will become married in heaven to Christ in an eternal relationship and then come back with Christ during the Millennium, but the Millennium is an earthly rule of Christ over the Jewish people and over all the nations as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. So this prayer really technically is not for now, but there’s wonderful lessons there in prayer. Certainly, we pray to the Father and we obviously need to include recognizing who He is and then appealing to him on that basis and then praying about things that affect our daily lives and then of course obviously concluding recognizing his power and the ability to answer those prayers.
Okay, I’m not a cross problem. Okay, like on forgiveness and acts those things chapter and that they’re okay God that for the whole world. That’s correct. That’s correct. But the whole world did not forgive him until they received the Lord Jesus Christ. they receive that forgiveness upon trusting Christ as their Savior exactly. Peter makes that very clear, Acts 10, 43 says, to Christ give all the prophets witness that through his name, whosoever believeth in him shall receive the remission of their sins.
So their sins are remitted upon believing or trusting that Christ died for them. Okay, what about, you know… To roughly, I think it’s 5.21. You know, no, no, no. One of them is then that they are very safe. Yeah, that’s verse 19 of chapter 5. Second Corinthians 5.19 that Christ paid for every sin that you would ever commit. So there’s only one sin that can send you to hell, one unpardonable sin, and that’s rejection of Christ as Savior. So God is really not condemning you to hell because you lied or you stole or because you cheated or something else.
He will send you to hell because you reject Christ who is the provision for your sin. That’s the unpardonable sin. But if you reject Christ, you’ll wind up being accountable for all the sins you’ve ever committed. But Christ is not charging them against you. He’s paid for them, but the unpardonable sin is not a rejection of Him. So all the wives of ours would leave for my to Christ. I wouldn’t tell them, say, hey, ask Lord to forgive you for your sin.
Well, because that’s not the way you become saved. You tell them to trust Christ as the one who made the payment for their sins. Because we’re not saved by asking anything. Both thieves ask to be saved, but only the one that believed was saved. You have to believe or trust that Jesus died for you in order to be forgiven or to be saved. To ask for heaven or to ask not to go to hell or to ask for the forgiveness of sins doesn’t bring it about.
The key is to trust on the Lord Jesus Christ and those shall be saved. Whosoever believeth or trustth on Christ should not perish but have everlasting life. So the key is that you have to trust that He died for you. And be it after you get. That is correct. We ought to in order to live in fellowship but it has nothing to do with our salvation. But you know it’s like when you’re born into your parents’ family you’re their child whether you behave or don’t behave.
But if you want to get along with mom and dad you really ought to fess up when you do things wrong and uh… even my little granddaughter yesterday said i i was bad at thirty months old she recognizes she does things wrong and she said i was bad pop up so uh… we need to do that you know everything i cleared up she felt better i felt better and we hugged and kissed and we are everything was kind of mended but uh…
she’s still my granddaughter whether she behaves or doesn’t mean that in order to get along and to be in fellowship obviously we need to get those things right Okay, somewhere you have to couple, I think it was about a week or two you were talking about the Lord, what he had do like an unbeliever. I think you said it was in Joe. Somewhere in Joe you said he would keep the unbeliever and give him a chance to be saved.
Yes. yes uh… in job thirty three if a person seeking the lord god promises to keep them alive through battle war disease or whatever until a messenger can get to them and bring the gospel to them you said job thirty three what what else the whole uh… chapter is pretty much about that but but halfway through the chapter job thirty three uh… yet job thirty three that’s the chapter that talks about you’ll find it it’s it’s clear when you read it okay another thing you have that about that’s correct and that’s it and Samson was members Samson brought down the house uh…
you know he pushed the pillars and it did it and he could actually died as a result he committed suicide uh… and uh… he was saved obviously the pro they’re both both of these guys is in the. I will agree with everything you say. Thank you. You’re very welcome and thank you for calling in and all the time guys goes by so quickly here. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Turn if you will, the Psalm 83. It says here, keep not thou silence O God, hold not thy peace and be not still O God. For lo, thy enemies make a tumult, and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people. That’s Israel and have consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said come and let us cut them off from being a nation that the name of Israel may be no more in our lives.
remembrance. You know it’s amazing how we’re watching that happen right now in our world. I’ve been a job. When I ran, says he would like to cut off the Jewish people from being a nation. Destroy them to Nukem that the name of Israel be no more in remembrance. It’s amazing but I know throughout the Middle East Israel is not recognized. I was flying on and Egyptian airlines. And I pulled the magazine out of the seat bag and I was looking at the maps where they show the airline routes where the Egyptian airline flies.
And as I looked over the Middle East, I saw all the countries that you are familiar with. But when I looked for Israel, Israel wasn’t there. Yes, the land was there, but the name Israel is nowhere on the map. They don’t recognize Israel. And most all of the Muslim countries do not recognize the state of Israel. It doesn’t exist. They would like to get it removed. If they could just destroy the Jewish people, that’s exactly what is in the heart of these nations.
And the Bible says that that would happen thousands of years ago. It says here in verse 4, they have said, come and let us cut them off from being a nation that the name of Israel be no more in remembrance, for they have consulted together with one consent, they are confederate against thee. They all have joined hands, and of course that common denominator is I think the Muslim faith, which says that those that are not Muslim are infidels and are worthy of being killed, and so they obviously are in league together with this.
Let me have you turn with me to the prophet Micah. Micah says in chapter 4 verse 11, now also many nations are gathered against the, that say, let Israel be defiled and let our eyes be upon Zion. Isn’t that interesting that you see 22 Muslim countries, all of them hate Israel. They would like to see Israel defiled and destroyed. This is written thousands of years ago. This is written about 27, 2800 years ago where here the prophet Micah foresees the future and how that the country surrounding Israel would hate her and how they would like to see her destroyed, defiled.
And it says here, now many nations are gathered against thee that say, let her be defiled and let our eye be upon Zion. Well obviously that’s pretty obvious what’s going on today. The Muslim countries want Jerusalem as the the capital of the Palestinian state. And so they are very incensed. In fact, they are trying to prevent Israel from having a united Jerusalem and want to divide the land and divide the city of Jerusalem. And the Bible says in verse 12, but they know not the thoughts of the Lord.
They know not the thoughts of the Lord. Well, of course not. They don’t read the Bible. Those that are Muslim don’t read the Bible at all. So they don’t know the thoughts of the Lord. It says neither do they understand his counsel. And here it tells us what’s gonna happen. It says, for he shall gather them, all of those countries, as the chiefs of the floor. And it says that Israel will be the winner in verse 13. And he says that they shall beat them in pieces.
And it says that I will consecrate their gain unto the Lord and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth. When Jesus comes back seven years after the Rapture, The seven years after the Rapture are an opportunity for people all around the world to come to know Jesus as their Savior. And if you don’t trust Christ after the Rapture during that seven years, then you’re done for it. When Christ comes back, He will destroy every unbeliever on the face of the earth.
And here the Bible describes in Micah that all of those countries, the all of those countries that are against Israel that want Israel to file, that want to take over Israel, are going to find themselves overcome and destroyed and all that land will become Israel’s. That’s right. The promise made to Abraham will finally be fulfilled that Israel will own all the land from the Euphrates River in Iraq all the way down to the Nile River in Egypt. That will all be Israel’s and all of that oil, all that wealth will become Israel’s.

Now, let’s return to our question and answer segment and then you’ll hear more Bible teaching from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Now we have Nancy in St. Petersburg and Nancy, welcome to the Bible on your own ear. Hello. Hi there. Hi. My question is, who would have been the first person or persons of authority to direct us to follow the Bible?
Well I guess you have to say God because He has given His Word from the very beginning and He has spoken to us through all of His prophets. And so He is the one that has revealed His Word and has been received from the very beginning. You know, apparently Adam and Eve learned of salvation directly from the Lord. If you read Genesis 3.15, there the Lord spoke and he talked about how the seat of the woman would be the ultimate redeemer.
And you know, even Eve, chapter 4 verse 1, thought that her firstborn child was the Messiah. And of course, she was wrong. That was Cain, big mistake there. But throughout it says that they heard his word and then as the prophets wrote it down, read his word and so it’s been something from the get-go. No doubt about it. There was never sometime that came along and later that happened. Right from the very first people, Adam and Eve, heard the word of the Lord.
The Lord walked with them in the cool garden, talked with them, and even Cain and Abel, when they offered their sacrifice, they knew what they should have brought. Cain didn’t bring the one that was appropriate and they both knew where to bring it. They brought it brought it to the Lord. There must have been an appointed place. So they knew quite a bit. It says in chapter 4 of Genesis that they called upon the name of the Lord for their salvation.
So they clearly knew the gospel, they clearly knew many things. Obviously that continued right on down to today. Who handed it down? Who would have been the promoter of the Bible? Moses wrote, for For example, as a prophet of God, the first five books of the Bible. God instructed him to build a piece of furniture called the Ark of the Covenant, which was to contain those scrolls. And each successive prophet as he wrote, those books’ writings were added to the collection of Scripture and placed in the Ark of the Covenant.
Of course, copies were made and distributed, but God himself directed not only the writing of the Bible, but the distribution of the Bible. Jeremiah, for example, said that the Lord said, write the all the words that I’ve spoken into the in a book. And he did. And God, of course, sold us that those words were written for not only Jeremiah’s time, for even us in our time, which are described as the latter days when the Jewish people after being dispersed worldwide would return back to their land.
So God himself has done that through his prophets and through his apostles. Who would have been the first, but who were the people that what it was it? Was it the church? No, it was the Jewish people. The Jewish people were the ones that were given the responsibility of bringing the Word of God to the world. And they were committed with the oracles of God. If you read the book of Romans, the first couple of chapters, talking about that Jews had an advantage over others in the sense that it was through them and to them that God spoke his word and sent it out to the world through the Jewish nation.
Okay. All right. Okay. And if you look at Isaiah 43 10, Israel was spoken of as being God’s witnesses. They were to disseminate the word of God throughout the world. And then when Israel rejected their Messiah, God has now turned us Gentiles to do that job. And he’s about ready to snatch us out of the rapture and then go back to the Jewish people being his witnesses again. If you read Revelation 7 after the Rapture, there’s going to be 144,000 Jewish men who will do the evangelism during the tribulation period after the Rapture.
And if you read carefully, Chapter 7 and Chapter 14, they’re all men, they’re all Jewish, and they’re all Virgin men. So they are all those three qualifications disqualify most everybody else. They are Jewish, and they are men in their Virgin men. We’re now going to go to, let’s see here, Linda in Spring Hill, Florida, and Linda, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hi, Dr. Mink. My question was about the Lord’s Prayer. Is this correct or not? But I always thought when I’m praying it, I know I’m a believer saved already, but I’m praying for the Lord’s Rapture of the Church, the fulfillment of His will that He’s going to bring Israel in and then He’s going to establish His Kingdom.
And I’m praying for it to happen now, Lord. I think that’s fine. We just have to recognize if you read that chapter, God did not want us to pray repetitious prayers. Some people pray that just as a repetitious prayer. They don’t ever learn to pray to God in conversation, which prayers really a conversation between you and God. You don’t have to have some memorized prayer. Those who use the rosary, they say the same thing over and over and over and over and over again.
That’s what Jesus warned against in that chapter against Repetition’s prayers. But I think God understands, and Albeit is a wonderful model prayer, and there’s much to be learned. I don’t believe I’ve gleaned everything yet that is there in that teaching about prayer, because he was really teaching the disciples how to pray, and it was a model prayer to learn from and to build off of. But I don’t think ever intended to be recited this people do it but I believe that it got understand and he’s you’re not going to be in trouble for doing that.
Came from Catholic background so I know exactly what you mean. Some people probably do abuse it was probably to show us the key point you know like bullet points. Sure. I was talking to you about some of the reverents and kind of a teaching lesson you’re very much correct. Well God bless you Linda and thank you for calling in today. Thank you. Goodbye. Have a great day. Oh, you too. Alright. Bye-bye. That was Lyndon Spring Hill, Florida. We’re now going to go to Sarah in St.
Petersburg. Sarah, welcome to Bibleline. And you’re on the air. Oh, hello. I have a question. My husband is, you know, he’s just overworked. I mean, he’s got, you know, so much work problems and stuff like that work. you know, he can’t quite retire and he’s just like overwhelmed. And he seems to be losing his faith. And I don’t know really what to do as far as biblical. I mean, I pray for him, but it just seems like he goes to work and then he comes home and then he passes out.
And then, you know, and then he just lets all the problems around him, it worked and in the world surround him and his spirituality seems to be like fading away. Well, he needs to have his spiritual strength renewed. You know, the Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5, 7, cast all your cares upon him because he cares for you. And it says in Philippians 4 that if you let all your problems be known to the Lord and he will give you a piece that will pass all understanding.
He’s got to get back into the Word somehow, whether he just listens to it, read to him. What I like about my own website is you can go to the Scriptures there and we have five different readers you can choose from and you can just let the Bible be read to you. And even if you are too tired to hold the Bible up, you can just hear the Word and take it in. It’s very powerful. of God is living in powerful, they can regenerate you.
And I think that’s what the 23rd Psalm was talking about too, where the Lord will feed your soul and he’ll take you out to pasture and set you beside the still waters. And he’s there through the difficulties of the day as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death. And just to memorize like the 23rd Psalm and to just count on that and then Proverbs 35 6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, don’t lean under your own understanding, and all your ways acknowledge Him, and He’s going to direct your path, and He’s going to take care of you.
So the Scriptures are powerful to renew your Spirit and to give you direction. And I would recommend whatever you can do is maybe, and you know you can get the Bible now on CD and just play it. Well, my problem is I’ve been trying to reach Him, and I just can’t seem to get through because we used to go, he doesn’t know, he’s so tired now because of having work. He doesn’t go to church. He doesn’t seem to react to any type of things.
We used to go to Bible study. He used to go to church. He used to go to… I just can’t seem to get through to him. If I could get him to sit and pray with me, or if he feels uncomfortable praying with me, if he could just read the Bible or listen to something, he would have to come to the church. that would inspire him, but I’m just having a really, really rough time. I guess the only thing I can actually do is pray that God will inspire him to, I don’t know, somehow can get his attention away from the world because he just preoccupied so much.
I mean, you know, like between his work and he’ll come home from work and go to work. We’re checking on here. I would recommend that you just start slow just if you just would get him into Proverbs three five and six and just Encourage him to memorize those and just trust in the Lord with all your heart and tell him that God would like to really just Become real in his life and if you just trust the Lord that the Lord would And showing great mighty things.
I love Jeremiah 30 verse 3 where it says, call unto me and I’ll answer you and I’ll show you great and mighty things, which though it’s not. And we just, we fail, we lose out when we don’t pray. I’d like to know him, what a friend we have in Jesus. You know, it says how we miss out, we forfeit, when we don’t take our problems to the Lord in prayer. So he needs to somehow be encouraged, but I wouldn’t go too fast.
I’d just take a couple of verses at a time. the problem three, five, and six, if he just would memorize those, maybe you can get a plaque with a monot and put it on the wall next to where he sits and then make it nice and a reminder to him all the time of Lord wanting us to trust him. Yeah, he just seems to like, I don’t know, he just, the devil must be working on him. All I can say, you know, I just, he just seems like he’s, I can’t, he used to be telling me how he used to pray when he was on a job and he used to pray and everything, but he just become so discouraged with everything.
He’s just like, I’m not alone. I think the devil is after all of us and if we’re not careful, we can get into that frame of mind where we just don’t even turn to the Lord. And sometimes we have to bottom out before we look up and I hope he doesn’t have to get to the bottom before he discovers that. We can find real help in the Lord. I love the Psalms. The Lord is my help. He’s my refuge.
He’s the one I can turn to. It really is true and it might seem like a dream to some people, but it’s real and we need to go to the Lord as our helper. I have to run, but thank you Sarah so much and we’ll be praying for your husband and for you. Thank you for your information and thank you for what you were talking with. Alright, bye bye now. And that was Sarah. We didn’t say people. That concludes today’s question and answer segment.
There’s no other topic that is more important to us than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And it was Dr. Hankelyn Strim’s mission to spread the Gospel. Through your support for Bibleline, you too can help to spread the Gospel of Christ throughout the world and to reach others with the message of salvation through Jesus. Visit our website at BibleLineMinistries.org for copies of any of our resources such as Dr. Lindstrom’s audio CDs on the books of Ephesians or James, plus many others.
Now join us as we return to today’s teaching series. If you reject who Christ is or reject Christ, then you’ll never be forgiven because you’ll have to pay for your own sin. So basically that’s what Christ is saying here. All men are sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven under the sons of men. Christ died for every sin and blasphemy that you could possibly commit. But if you say that Christ is not the Savior, that he heals by Satan’s power, he’s not the Messiah.
then you’re not going to be forgiven because you reject the provision God has made. The answer is made very clear over to Mark in Mark’s Gospel. So I’m going to have you turn there with me. In Mark 3, we have the same story, but verse 30 really puts the icing on the cake. In Mark 3, 30, it says the reason why you would be in danger of eternal damnation is because in verse 30 because they said because they said because they said He Christ half what?
An unclean spirit. It was rejection of Christ. They said, yes, he heals. Yes, he does things we cannot explain. But he does it by the power of Satan, the prince of the demons, and not by the power of the spirit of God. Christ was saying that if you say that, then you’re not going to be able to be forgiven because you’re rejecting me who is the one who will provide for the payment of all of your sins. So all manner of sins and blasphemy shall be forgiven because of Christ’s death, but if you reject Christ, you’re in trouble.
So it’s really a rejection of Christ. It can only be committed by an unsafe person, and you have up until you draw your last breath to change your mind. But if you die without Christ, then you have committed the unpardonable sin, which is called here the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit to attribute the works of Christ to Satan, which is actually a denial of the person of Christ. All right, we’re back here in Matthew again. Then it says in verse 33, either make the tree good and his fruit good, or else make the tree corrupt and his fruit corrupt.
And we already covered this, I think, in Matthew 7, for the tree is known by his fruit. The fruit is the convert. And so a good tree is a Christian. So if you’re a Christian or if you’re a believer, you’re a good tree and you can produce good fruit, fruit, you can lead people to Christ. But if you’re a corrupt tree, that means you’re an unbeliever and your fruit is corrupt. And the fruit when you examine it is that cult member that person that comes to your door, the fruit of that organization.
And he evaluates them how? In verse 34 he says, Oh, generation of vipers. What is a viper? A very deadly snake. He says, you’re a generation of snakes, deadly snakes. How can you, being evil, speak good things for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth, speak it. What did they say? They said that Christ was an imposter. Christ was a fraud. Christ was a counterfeit. Yes, he healed, but not by the power of the Holy Spirit. So he’s saying that you are a generation of vipers and they rejected the one that could bring forgiveness to them.
And so they were obviously not going to make heaven. It says in verse 35, a good man out of the good treasure of his heart, bringing forth good things, an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart, bringing forth evil things. So now it says in verse 36, but I say unto you that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give it account thereof in the day of judgment. So one day all of these who spoke these words against Christ will be given a degree of punishment and hell based upon what they said.
By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” And so if you reject Christ, you’ll be condemned in hell forever and also assign a degree of punishment based upon your deeds. And if you accept Christ, then you’ll be forgiven. You’ll be justified in the sight of God. Verse 38, then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered. They were standing here and he was talking about them. They were a generation of vipers. were obviously corrupt trees and they had corrupt fruit and they were not saved and they were not entering heaven and so on.
And certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. And he answered and said unto them an evil and the dulter’s generation seeketh after a sign and there shall no sign be given to it but the sign of the prophet Jonah. And so here he picks probably the most difficult story in all the Bible to be believed and links it with a zoned death barrel and resurrection. And I’m sure that wasn’t helpful to these guys at all because they probably couldn’t buy into it.
But anyway, he says as Jonah was three days and three nights in the, it should read in the Fish’s Belly. The Greek word here is kittas, K-E-T-O-S and it is a huge fish. The word whale was the English translation, the King James, because most people think that Jonah lived in the Fish’s belly. And so therefore they picked out that it had to be a whale because the whales come up in the surface, they breathe there and maybe somehow that he could have survived in a whale’s belly.
But obviously it wasn’t a whale. And Jonah died, which is what most people don’t get. According to the Bible, he went down into paradise, he went into the heart of the earth, and was there three days and three nights while his body was entombed in the fish’s belly. As Christ’s body was entombed in the rich man’s tomb, and Christ went down into paradise in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. So it says, as Jonah was three days and three nights in the fish’s belly, social and son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
So when Christ died… He went into Paradise in the heart of the earth, and on the third day he raised up all the Old Testament Saints. If you were a believer in Old Testament times, you would have died and gone to Paradise in the heart of the earth. And then on the third day when Christ rose, you would have been taken up to heaven, and now those Old Testament saints are in heaven. This side of the cross would go directly to heaven, where absent from the body, present with the Lord.
Also, because of this, I believe Christ was resurrected Saturday night at sundown. He was placed in the grave at sundown, and 72 hours later he came back from the dead. So I believe the resurrection of Christ was Saturday sundown, which is the beginning of Sunday night, which is the beginning of the first day of the week because the Jews count their night before their day. And so in the morning, when the people came, they discovered an empty tomb, but they didn’t see the resurrection.
It already happened. And I believe the modern sunrise service is pagan in origin. It is the ancient way they would celebrate the birthday of Bail’s mother, Astroth. And the short form is Astroth. The English form is Easter. And that type of celebration made God really ticked off. You know, in the sunrise service, everybody faces the rising sun. And when it comes up, that was what the pagans did in celebrating of Easter, which was Bail’s mother in the Old Testament.
Let me just show it to you in Ezekiel because God got real ticked off when this happened in Ezekiel 8. And today I really don’t like the Sunrise Service because I think it is a take-off on the worship of Easter, Bail’s mother. Ezekiel was taken through some time travel. He was taken from Iraq back in time over to Jerusalem and shown what made God mad that he caused the Demikin Israel to come against Jerusalem and destroy the temple in BC 606.
I’m not going to read everything here, but I want you to read verse 16 with me of Ezekiel 8. He brought Ezekiel into the inner court of the Lord’s house. And behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar were about five and twenty men with their backs toward the temple of the Lord. Notice their backs were toward God’s temple and their faces toward what direction? The east and they worship the sun toward the east.
So here they were with their backs to the temple and their faces toward the east. And when the sun came up in the morning they worshiped the sun as it rose. It was done every springtime when Astroth was her birthday was celebrated. Because she was a sex goddess, that’s why you have all the bunny rabbits and Easter eggs that celebrate this woman who is the mother of Baal. I just really can tell how God through the Bible was very irritated at this whole thing.
That is incorporated into Christianity and most people talk about celebrating Easter. He is the sex gods. We’d like to continue with Dr. Lynchham’s teaching, but we are almost out of time for today. There will all be Israel’s and all of that oil, all that wealth will become Israel’s. that all that land will be vacated because all of the lost all of the world will be slain when jesus comes back at a second coming and by the way this is about the time in which we’re living today look if you will it might get chapter four verse one Where it says, in the last days, it shall come to pass.
Where in the last days? These are the days that the Bible has described as the last days. And you know that Jesus is the one who’s coming back and will affect all this as you go to chapter 5. And by the way, the chapter divisions and verse numbers are not inspired. They were not placed in the Bible till around 1200 years after Christ was already here. But it says in chapter 5 and verse 2, but thou Bethlehem, Africa. Though there will be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of these shall come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from a bold from everlasting.
Here it talks about the one who is the eternal God who has been from everlasting, would actually come and take on human flesh in the city of Bethlehem. And then it talks about as it jumps over the first coming of Christ to the second coming of Christ and how it tells in verse 4 that He shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord. That is Jesus. In the majesty of the name of the Lord is God, and they, the nation of Israel, shall abide.
For now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. The whole earth will come under Christ’s control, and Israel will be raised up as the head nation, and this is the counsel of the Lord. Most people don’t know the Council of the Lord. They don’t know His thoughts because they don’t read their Bible. But clearly we’re coming up close and hard on these events. And it’s interesting that every time we seem to nudge Israel in a wrong direction, we pay a price it seems here in the United States.
The Bible says, back in Genesis chapter 12, blessed are those that bless Israel and cursed of those cursed Israel, and every time we try to divide their land and to divide Jerusalem, it seems like things happen back here in the US that are really consequences of our cursing Israel. I think we need to take a look at the current news as related to the political events that are happening that really, I think, are God saying, hands off of Israel.
This people is my people and they are the apple of my eye. And there are so many verses we could turn to, but I think we’re living close to when Christ is going to come back. Things are really happening rapidly now. The world is coming together exactly as the Bible described it would. And I think the rapture is right around the corner. Are you ready to be raptured out? I’m not saying that he’s coming this year. Please don’t misquote me.
But I’m saying he could, and if he did, you’ve only got a little bit of time left. Why? This month is almost gone, and then we have all of August and September, and we could be out of here. Again, I want to be careful to let you know I’m not saying a date. I’m just saying we’re living in the last days, and he could come this year. But I’m not saying he’s coming this year. If he doesn’t come this year, what are you going to do?
Well, I’m going to be watching next year. He’s coming. I just don’t know the date, but I know that it’s coming soon. And what if it were this year? Would you do anything differently if you knew that Christ was going to be here in just months? Is there anybody you’d want to witness to? Is there anybody that you would like to talk to about the Lord and make sure that they’re saved? You know, we’re going to stand before the Lord accountable when He comes and catches us up at the rapture.
That’s when the judgment seat of Christ will occur where believers will be examined for their works to determine the degree of reward or loss of reward in heaven. Anyway, I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and I hope that you’re a believer that you’ve trusted Jesus alone as your only hope of salvation or you will not be able to enter heaven. There’s only one way to be saved and that’s Jesus and by faith alone in Christ alone God saves all those who put your trust in Him.
Gotta run, keep looking up. Jesus is coming, keep your eyes focused on the Lord. If Dr. Englunds are saying goodbye, we’ll be back. Tomorrow. Two.
