We pray that you will come to trust Jesus as your Savior and be saved to the glory of God. We hope that you will join us for this first by verse study of the Book of Matthew as we explore topics such as Jesus’ warning against false teachers, Jesus’ healing of the sick, lame and blind, the twelve disciples sent out to preach the gospel and more.

Now join us for Dr. Lindstrom’s teaching for today as we turn to the Book of Matthew Chapter 14. John the Baptist disciples came and they took up the body and buried it and went and told Jesus. We don’t know where the body was buried, but apparently the head was taken to Damascus, Syria, and the head was buried there. I’ve been to the burial place of the head of John the Baptist in Damascus, Syria. But apparently the disciples came quickly and took the body though and buried it.

Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart, and when the people there had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities. Jesus went forth and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and noticed here is another healing. He healed their sick. And when it was evening, his disciples came to him saying, this is a desert place, and the time is now passed, sending them altitude away. They may go to their villages, buy themselves, middles.

But Jesus said unto them, they need not depart, give ye them to eat. And they said, we have here but five loaves and two fishes. And he said, bring them hither to me. He commanded the multitude to sit down upon the grass and he took the loaves and the two fishes and looking up to heaven, he blessed and break them and gave the loaves to his disciples and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all he and were filled.

And they took up the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about 5,000 men beside women and children. So there might have been another 5,000 children. Maybe one child for every family, maybe another 5,000 kids. At least maybe 15,000 people here were fed with just five loaves of bread and two little fishes. So Jesus obviously was no ordinary man. here was a man who was able to multiply the loaves and the fishes. Then we find straight wavers 22.

Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship and go before him to the other side of the Sea of Galilee while he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent the multitudes away he went up into a mountain apart to pray. And when the evening was come he was there alone. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves for the wind was contrary. In the fourth watch of the night Jesus went under them walking on the sea.

And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were troubled saying it’s a spirit, it’s a ghost. And they cried out for fear. But straightaway Jesus faking to them saying be of good cheer, it is I, be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said Lord if it be thou bid me to come under the on the water. And Jesus said, come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid and began to sink. And he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him and said unto him, O thou little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were coming to the ship, the wind ceased. Then they were in the ship came and worshiped him, saying of a truth, thou art the Son of God. And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Ganesirah, which is on the east northeast coast of the Sea of Galilee.

And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country roundabout and brought unto him all that were diseased. And to sought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment. And as many as touched were made perfectly whole. So again here all that came were healed. Chapter 15. Then came Jesus to Jesus’ scribes and Pharisees which were of Jerusalem saying, Why did the disciples transgress the transgression of the elders?

For they washed not their hands when they eat bread. And he answered and said to them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded saying, On of thy father and thy mother. and he that cursed the father or mother let him die at the death. But you say, who forever shall say to his father or mother, it is a gift by whatsoever thou might as be profited by me and honor not his father or his mother, he shall be free.

So basically here they had a little way of getting out of the responsibility of caring for their father and for their mother. And they would say, well, we’re going to give a gift designated to the temple. and that would free them up by the responsibility of taking care of their mother and father. And it was kind of like things like children do, some of my fingers were crossed when I made my promise to you, therefore my promise doesn’t count.

And Jesus said, Thus have you made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. That’s an important phrase because a lot of churches, including the Roman Catholic Church, have a lot of tradition that contradicts the Bible. And it says you’ve made the commandment of God of none effect by your traditions. You have to watch out when tradition contradicts the Bible. We have to go with the Bible over tradition. Verse 70 says you hypocrites. Well did Isaiah prophesy of you saying, this people draw near them to me with their mouth, honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

So notice you can worship God and yet be far from the Lord. In verse 9 it goes on to say, in vain or uselessly they worship me. Teaching for doctrines what? The commandments of men. You might want to mark that because many churches teach commandments of men and not the word of God and these commandments of men contradict the Bible. Therefore, in vain they do worship me. So there are people who attend church and they worship God supposedly but they do it in vain, there’s of no value because they don’t know the Lord because they’re following the commandments of men and not believing God’s word.

He called them altitude and said unto them here and understand. Not that which goes into the mouth to file with a man, but that which comes out of the mouth. This is the file of a man. And nobody really seemed to understand this, but you’ll see the explanation a little bit later in the passage. Then came his disciples and said unto him, knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended after they heard the saying, did you know you offended the Pharisees?

And she just said, oh my goodness, I’m sorry. No. What did he say? Every plant which my Heavenly Father had not planted shall be rooted up. Let them alone. They be blind leaders of the blind. If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. He was saying that the Pharisees were lost. And these were plants that the Heavenly Father had not planted. And he says, they’re going to be rooted up one day. They’re the lost that will be gathered up by the angels and cast into the burning fiery furnace.

Let them alone. They’d be blind leaders of the blind. If the blind leave the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. And that’s exactly what is going to happen. They were obviously boasting in the fact that they saw and understood things. And yet they did not see and did not understand things. them alone. They thought they could see, but Christ said they were blind. They did not see. There are ministers today and pulpits that aren’t not saved and they don’t have the Holy Spirit and they can’t see spiritually.

They’re lost and they’re misleading the people that are under them. Verse 15 answered Peter and said to him, declare under this this parable. Jesus said, are you also yet without understanding? Don’t you see any more than these blind leaders that are leading the blind? Do you not yet understand Number 17, that whatsoever enters the mouth, goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the drought. Verse 18, but those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and they defile the man.

What are they? Out of the heart, proceeded evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies, these are the things which defile a man. But to eat with unwashed hands doesn’t defile a man. So here he was saying, you missed the point. And the Pharisees missed the point. They were lost. They needed a new birth. They needed to be saved. They needed to be forgiven. Christ was the Savior. And they rejected Him. I have, as a cross-reference here, Jeremiah 79.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Jeremiah 79. So Christ is saying, out of the heart, proceeds what? Evil thoughts. The heart is deceitful above all things. Jeremiah 79. So these are the things that defile a person. The nature that we have from Adam is what has caused us to be defiled. And verse 21 says, then Jesus went thence and departed in the coast of Tyre and Sidon. That’s Lebanon. The older woman of Canaan came out of the coast, the same coast from Christ in him saying, Have mercy on me O Lord, thou son of David.

My daughter is grievously vexed with a devil, or demon should read. He answered her not a word. His disciples came and said, send her away. She cries after us. He answered and said, I am not sent, but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. And he answered and said, it is not me to take the children’s bread and cast it to dogs. And she said, true Lord, be at the dogs, eat the crumbs, and fall from their master’s table.

And then Jesus answered and and said unto her a woman, great as thy faith. Be it unto thee even as thy wilt, and her daughter was made whole from that very hour. Christ’s ministry up until this next chapter was to come as a king, to set up a kingdom. And his ministry was to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, not to the Gentiles. You’re listening to Bible Eye, a teaching ministry that’s dedicated to delivering the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

There are many items available from our resource center such as Dr. Hankel-Instrom’s DVD teachings on the topics of repentance, faith without works, and the rapture in addition to many others when you call 1-800-576-3771. Now we’re gonna take a break from our teaching to listen to Dr. Lindstrom answering questions from callers and then will rejoin today’s teaching. We’re going to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and we’re gonna talk to Tony. Tony, Tony, welcome to Bibleline. I want to ask you about in the book of Timothy about a ladies band of pastors.

Yes. And I did. I wanted to okay up the church when I was going to the pastor. Her husband had died and she’s now the head of the pastor. She’s the pastor now. Is that wrong? Because in Timothy it said ladies shouldn’t be over man. in a little bit about that. I believe it is wrong. If you look at 1 Timothy, 1 Timothy chapter 2, it says in verse 11, let the woman learn in silence with all subjections. So they’re not really to be the leader, the teacher, the instructor.

In fact in verse 12 it says, I suffer or I allow not a woman to teach. This word teach here is a different word than in every other reference to women. This is teaching the Word of God. They are not really to be the leadership teaching the Word. It says, I suffer not a woman to teach nor do you serve authority over the man but to be in silence. Now if you read Titus, it talks about women teaching, but you’ll notice it is quite clear that it limits the area of their instruction and to whom they instruct.

If you read Titus chapter 2, it says the age of women, it says that they should teach verse 4. Different word in the Greek than the word teach over there in 1 Timothy. That they may teach the young women to be sober, that’s number 1, to love their husbands, number 2, to love their children, that’s number 3, to be discreet, that’s number 4, to be chased, that’s number 5, to be keepers at home, that’s number 6, to be good, that’s number 7, to be obedient to their own husbands, number eight, and it says that the word of God be not blasting.

So here there are eight things that women are instructed to teach. None of them are actually to be Bible teachers or Bible instructors. And it gives us two reasons why in 1 Timothy it says first, Adam was created first and then a woman. So God really pointed the men to be the spiritual leaders. He could have chosen, I guess, six women apostles and six male apostles. He didn’t. He chose six men. The first deacons in Acts chapter 6, seven of them, chosen were all men.

And there really were no women deacons. Now the word deacon really means servant or table waiter. And we do have in some translations, and I think that’s still a common date. bad doctor today have taken the word servant. And translated it in reference to women as deaconesses. There was no such office as a deacon or a woman elder in the church or bishop. But there were women who served and if you translate the word as some of the translators have, and I believe wrongly, in some of these crazy translations I won’t start naming them because I get all excited here.

But they will say that they were deaconesses and that’s not an office. they were simply servants. So that’s what that means and there are no women, deacons, elders, preachers authorized in the scriptures. I hope that helps, Tony. And it is a problem today where you see many churches have women pastors today. I wanted to ask you, have you ever heard of a church called Baraka Church in Houston, Texas? Yeah, and I would say away from that one too. You would say away from the Rakka term?

Yeah. I think the past name is Gimme the T, the Colonel. Yeah, I know exactly what you’re talking about. He has some strange ideas including the blood of Christ not really being important and some other things that are really way out. You almost have to have a special dictionary which by the way he will provide. If you don’t understand his terms you won’t be able to understand his teachings. So you have this little glossary of instruction on how to listen to his messages to understand what he’s talking about.

So I think it’s a little bit foreign and strange. He’s about 90 years of age now, I believe. But he would, do we have to sell basin right? Save by grace? He does teach salvation by grace, but then many other things are a little bit off. And especially, I don’t like his denial of the blood of Christ. I wonder if he does have salvation right if that be the truth you can go online and Google and there’s a lot of Places that we’ll talk about his bad theology Okay, thank you.

All right. Thank you Tony Tony in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Thank you. Matthew you’re on the air Good morning Hank Revelation chapter 3 verse 1 Can you talk a little bit about a little Lord meant by the seven spirits of God? Sure. In Revelation talks about the seven spirits of God which I believe are the one and same Holy Spirit and many Bibles scholars believe it is his seven fold fullness in all of his attributes. I like to go to Isaiah 11 where it talks about the Holy Spirit that would come upon Jesus the Messiah and anoint him and and obviously empower him as being the Messiah as he came on the planet Earth.

And you’ll notice here it says in verse 2 about Jesus, this is Isaiah 11-2, and the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him. And if you count here, there are seven. The Spirit of wisdom is the Spirit of understanding, the Spirit of counsel, the Spirit of might, the Spirit of knowledge, and the Spirit of the Spirit of the Lord. you can all up there seven different things about here the holy spirit which i think is what is referring to the book of revelation a couple of times about the sevenfold uh…

spirit of god that is the one and only holy spirit the third eternal member of the godhead hopefully that helps alright yes that basically that was revealed in christ and not anywhere in the old testament okay also i think that’s one more question uh… e-knock how do you feel about he not uh… being one of the two profits uh… and also how do you feel about he not dispensationally mean i don’t know what that couple of things about the nike in a couple of course did not leave live during the age of law the tribulation period which is what you’re referring to when two profits will come back and preach after the rapture and the age of law is not over the last seven years of the Old Testament Age of Law will start ticking off the clock once the Rapture happens.

And the two prophets that come back, I think, have to come out of the dispensation of law. So that would rule out Enoch who lived prior to the flood. Many people choose Enoch because he never died. But Elijah is going to come back. He never died. He was caught up in a fire of chariot. But Moses, we believe, is the other one. He’s identified in Revelation chapter 11 as the one who smite the earth with the plagues as often as he will.

turn the water to blood, that can only be Moses. But Moses and Elijah both come out of the dispensation of law. Obviously Moses began the dispensation by receiving the law from Mount Sinai and Elijah was a great prophet during the dispensation of law. But if you read Jude verse 9, it talks about Satan having a real issue and having a little verbal dispute with Michael the Archangel over the body of Moses because apparently God has preserved his body. He gave me such a fit and fear as court and I don’t want to see him.

So I think it’s Moses and I do it out. The Prophet’s and if you read Jude verse 9 I think it adds a lot of clarity to that so apparently Satan is saying hey that’s foul play that’s not fair you’re gonna allow Moses to come back I don’t want to see that guy again he gave him he gave me such a fit and fair his court and I don’t want to see him so I think it’s Moses and I’d you without a doubt.

Amen I thank you Matthew and that was a great call rich in certain. And Sarasota says Catholics ask the Protestants owe it to themselves to understand the Catholic development of doctrine. What do they mean by this term? Well, they’re trying to explain how they change their doctrine as they go along. I call them the chameleon church because they adapt themselves to the society and the culture and the countries that they are in. Catholicism in the Philippines is not the same as it is here in the States.

is it the same in Haiti and Cuba and in Central America and other South American countries. Wherever you go the Catholic Church has its own little brand of Catholicism which mixes many times paganism and even occult practices. We have the Santa Ria here in Tampa, Florida, about 20,000 and this is a form of Catholicism that has come out of the Caribbean Islands and they actually offer live sacrifices right here in Tampa of chickens and so on. And it’s kind of a scary group.

They claim to be Catholic, but really they have this Santa Maria mentality and they actually offer sacrifices and have some strange teachings. But it’s a mixture of voodoo and other occult type practices mixed in with Catholicism. And many of them have altars in their front yards and you can drive through neighborhoods and see them. Obviously, this is kind of a scary type of worship here that’s fine in the United States. But we have it. And so Catholicism is not the same everywhere.

And you’ll find that you need to realize that the Bible doesn’t change. If you read Jude 1, 3, the book of Jude, it says that we’re to contend for the faith that is the body of truth contained in the word of God that was once delivered unto the saints. So we need to go back and see what does the Bible say and where to contend for the faith as delivered to us in the Scriptures. And when new doctrine comes along and changes, you can know it’s not from God.

God said that he would not change what he spoke. In Isaiah 45 he says he spoke in righteousness and that his word would not return. What that means is he would never take his word back. He would never revise his word, but whatever went out of God’s mouth when he spoke it a couple of thousand years ago that we have in our scriptures is not ever going to be rescinded or changed or altered. And the Catholics do change their doctrine.

They, just a few years ago, was a mortal sin to eat meat on Friday. Today it’s not. What about those people who went to hell because they’d meet on Friday about 40 years ago? Today, if they were living, they wouldn’t have gone to hell. So that’s crazy. and so many more things I could talk about, how they changed. The Pope just got rid of the doctrine of limbo. What happened to all the children that went to limbo? Now that there is no more a limbo.

Of course, there never was a limbo, but these are all doctrines that get invented by the Catholic Church, and they constantly are changing as they go along. We hope that you’re learning with us. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment to pledge your support for Bibleline. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re living in a time when there’s a lot of confusion and one of the questions that comes up again and again is what about the unpardonable sin?

And many, many really have this terribly wrong. In Mark 3 where we’re going to turn, it talks about a sin that will never be forgiven. You have your Bible open. Mark chapter 3 verse 28, Jesus says, Verily I say unto you, all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men. And blasphemies were with soever they shall blaspheme. But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit have never forgiven us, but is in danger of eternal damnation. What is this blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?

Well the answer here in Mark’s Gospel chapter 3 is very clear. When you read the context, Christ had healed a man that was blind and dumb so that he both staked and saw. The miracle was obvious and could not be denied. The religious leaders didn’t even try to deny the miracle because it was obvious. was a man blind all of his life, now he could see he was not able to speak, but now he’s speaking. And so no one could deny that the miracle had occurred.

And so what they did was say that Jesus did the miracle by the power of Satan. And so they attributed the healing which was done by God the Holy Spirit to Satan’s Spirit that they said that he is indwelled by and heals by the power of Baal Zibob, one of the many names for Satan, the one who is the prince of the demons that is of all the fallen angels. And so they said that actually Satan did the healing.

That this man was an imposter. He was a fraud. He was a counterfeit. He was not the savior. He was not the Messiah. And so this was the claim that they made. And Jesus says the person who commits the sin of the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit would never have forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal amnation, here’s the answer, verse 30. Because they said, He, Christ, half an unclean spirit. In other words, this is the blasphemy. It’s to reject Christ.

It’s that of unbelief, to not trust Christ as Savior, to say that Christ is not the Savior. He’s not the Son of God. He’s not the Messiah. He’s not the one promised by the prophets. He’s an imposter. He’s a fraud. He’s a counterfeit. He’s healing, but he does it by the power of Satan. And here, Jesus says, that sin would never be forgiven. It says here clearly that they were in danger of eternal damnation. And that means because as long as they were still living, they could change their mind.

They could trust Christ as their Savior, and they could be saved. And that’s, of course, true of everyone. If you are an unbeliever, you’ve got until the day you die, but the problem is is that you don’t know what day you’re going to die on. A lot of people say, I’m going to wait till the day of my death and then I’ll trust Christ as Savior. Well, guess what? You might die suddenly. You might be killed in a car crash.

You might all of a sudden have some tragic event happen where your life is taken suddenly and you don’t have any time to make that choice. And if you die without Christ, according to the Bible, you’ll be separated from God forever and ever and ever and ever and ever. You don’t want to have that happen to you. And so here Christ says that all blasphemies and all sins shall be forgiven under the sons of men. When Jesus died on the cross of Calvary, he paid for every manner of sin, every manner of blasphemy that a person could commit.

But the unpardonable sin is to reject God’s only provision for sin, the Lord Jesus Christ. The one who died as the sacrificial sacrifice that would satisfy God’s justice, the fact that Jesus, the Lamb of God, was made to be sin and died and paid for your sin, debt, and mind in full. The only means of our redemption, the only means of our salvation, and if we reject Him, then we are obviously in deep trouble because then we will never have forgiveness because the only means of forgiveness for anyone who is lost is trusting Christ as Savior.

You know, Acts 1631 says, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. The word believe as it is used in the New Testament comes from the Greek word pustuo, P-I-S-T-E-U-O, it means to trust. The best English equivalent for that word’s meaning is trust. It means to rely upon to put your confidence in, to rest your way upon to put your trust in Jesus Christ as the one who made the full payment for your sin. on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved.

What amazes me today is that Satan has gotten most Christians not even to use that phrase or that wonderful expression in the Bible. Believe. Dr. Hank Lindstrom, please make plans to join us and open your Bible as we also present in-depth studies covering a variety of biblical topics. Now let’s return to our question and answer segment and then you’ll hear more Bible teaching from Dr. Hank Lindstrom. And we have Tina waiting patiently in Newport, Richie, and Tina, we welcome you to the Bible and program. Good morning Pastor. In Hebrew 6 it says about and the fourth verse and to the six it says it’s impossible for those who were once enlightened then if they fall away to receive them again to repentance.

Could you please explain that? Absolutely. What is saying there Tina? Is it once you’re saved you’re saved forever. You’re stuck. You have to go to heaven when you like it or not. If you get away from serving the Lord. It says it’s impossible to go back and be saved again. It says it’s impossible for you to be renewed under that repentance change of mind that occurred when you got saved. If you attempt to become saved again, it says in verse 6, you crucify Christ to yourself again and put into an open shame.

Christ will never be crucified again, but people who try to become saved again once they get away from the Lord are actually doing something He was very blasphemous against Christ and that is saying that his sacrifice at Calvary two thousand years ago wasn’t sufficient to save them forever. If you read Hebrews 10 and becomes very clear it says in verse 10, by the will of God we are sanctified made pure and holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Verse 14 says, by one offering he hath perfected forever those that are sanctified. So the Bible is very clear that it was the one time sacrifice of Christ that really saves you forever. If you ever get away from the Lord, you need to go back and start serving again. But if you attempt to become saved again, you’re crucifying Christ to yourself. Not going to happen. Not going to happen. And that puts Christ to an open shame. It is a blessing against Christ that puts Christ to an open shame to try to say Christ has to be crucified again when he only died once and that one time sacrifice was sufficient to save you forever.

If you notice verse 9 in that passage it says we’re talking about things that accompany salvation. Verse 10 says God has done unrighteous to forget your labor of love. He’s talking about rewards, talking about service and the things that accompany salvation. Once you become saved you don’t go back and become saved again. That’s impossible. That’s impossible. That’s what he’s talking about. But you can get serving again and start earning rewards as God is not going to forget verse 10.

Any good work you’ve done, he’s going to reward you in heaven. Praise the Lord. Thank you. Alright, Tina, thank you so much. That was Tina in Newport, Richie. We have Jonah. My goodness, I didn’t know he was still around. Jonah, not the one in the whale, I’m sure. Alright, Jonah from Tampa, welcome to Bibleline. Hi. Yeah, I’m sure you’ve dealt with the question. stuff i’d like to say uh… i did good subject matter you got going on this morning i was reading along with you very interesting i’d i’d i’d only have a question for say i’m sure you’ve dealt with the matter before and i’d i’d really want to make you repeat yourself and me on any reference to impair what you know that the things they tell me i don’t really like to argue scriptures with people i i don’t think that gets anybody anywhere i’m trying to seek answers for myself and i walk with a

lord and i did need help basically absolutely well first of all they the major point is that they deny the deity of Christ. They do not believe that Jesus is God who took on human flesh. And the Bible says in 1 John 2, 23, who soever denyeth the Son the same hath not the Father. So I tell Jehovah’s Witnesses, you’re Jehovahless because they deny the Son they don’t have the Father. The Father is Jehovah. So they’re Jehovah’s Witnesses without Jehovah.

And I oftentimes said, would you like to meet a true Jehovah’s Witness? And they say, yes, kind of like what’s going on here. And I extend my hand and say shake my hand. I’m a true Jehovah’s Witness. I believe in the God of the Bible who said in the Old Testament that he would come and take on human flesh. Isaiah 9, 6 said he would be born and take on flesh. And yet his name would be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God.

Catch it. The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, Isaiah 9, 6. So Jesus is God. It says in 2nd John verse 9, if you don’t abide in the doctrine of Christ, which they don’t, they reject. It says you don’t even have God. So they’re godless, they’re Jehovahless, and they’re lost, and they need to know the Lord as their Savior. I like to point out John 824, which they don’t have a good answer for. And John 824, Jesus said, you shall die in your sins for if you believe not that I am, You shall die in your sins.

That is the name that God used when he appeared to Moses at the burning bush in Exodus chapter 3. God said to Moses, my name is I Am. Tell the children visual that I Am has sent thee unto them. And Jesus picks up on that name and he’s saying that if you don’t believe that I’m the same God that appeared to Moses who told Moses that he was the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, then you’re going to die in your sins.

and you’ll wind up in hell. And so those are a couple of good ones. And of course, the second issue with the witnesses is they’re working their way to heaven. And the Bible says salvation is not of works. Ephesians 2, 8, 2, 9, and dozens of other verses are really good. I have some things on my website. If you have internet access, go to Dr. Lynch from Z articles in the right hand bottom corner of the home page. And you can click on not only the issues we’ve just talked about.

But you can click on how to witness to a Jehovah’s Witness and find that helpful. What is the website? It’s BibleLineMinistries.org BibleLineMinistries.org. When you get to the home page, you’ll be able to see in the bottom right corner Dr. Lynch from articles. And you can do a search to find it or just type in Jehovah’s Witnesses and you’ll get a lot of stuff on that for my art my articles I’ve written. Awesome, awesome. Well John I’m glad you found us and thank you for calling in today I hope that helps a little bit.

Yeah that’s very helpful thank you very much. Alright you’re most welcome. Have you trusted Christ as your Savior? There’s only one way to be saved only one way to go to heaven and that is Jesus himself. Jesus said in John 14 6 I am the way I am the truth, I am the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. No man, no woman, no child, no one can come to the Father except by Jesus Christ. If you reject Christ, my friend, you have no chance because there’s no other way.

There’s no other way. Peter said it so clearly at Acts 4, 12, he said, neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven, give it among men whereby we must be saved. Most churches teach works for salvation. It’s sometimes very subtle, but you have to do something to be saved according to most churches when the Bible says you can do nothing. It’s not of yourself that our best righteous deeds are filthy rags inside of God Isaiah 64, 6.

And you have nothing No, I forgot. I have nothing to offer God. You don’t either. I don’t care who you are. I don’t care where you attend or what you do. You don’t have a thing to offer God. The Bible says your best, brightest deeds are filthy rags in the sight of God. You have to come just as you are. You have to simply recognize your need that you’re lost and headed for hell and you need a Savior. Jesus Christ is that one.

And when you come to him by faith trusting that he made the full payment for your sin was buried and rose again from the dead God saved you. So most important decision you’ll ever make in your life. I hope you’ve made that decision to trust Christ the Savior. You could do it right now. You could whisper a prayer. You could say something like as follows, I got on the center, admit it, we all are. But right right now, what I just heard made a lot of sense, and I trust Jesus Christ right now, as the one who died and paid for my sins.

In full on the cross by His death and shed blood was buried and rose again from the dead, and I trust Jesus Christ right now to save me, to give me the gift of eternal life. And the moment you do that, Con saves you. We’re now going to go to Dave and he is in St. Petersburg. And Dave, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Yes, hello pastor. This is basically for the gentleman that calls. He has a couple of Jehovah Witnesses friends.

I suggest that he read the 2nd John 9 through 11 and 2nd Corinthians 6, 14 through 18. I just suggest hopefully you still listen that he read those and maybe you can comment on them when I hang up and listen. Have a good day. Right. Well thank you Dave and that’s true. That second John 9-11 talks about whoever transgresses an abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. But he did abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Obviously, they obviously are not saved. They are totally lost. And they deny the basic tenets of Christianity. They need another source in order to be able to read the Bible. That’s the Kingdom Hall literature. And watch out for any group that slides in something in front of the Bible. The Bible is the authority. And we need to go there and ask ourselves, as we read the Bible and then read other literature, is that other literature is aligned with the Bible.

and you’ll find the Kingdom Hall literature is not in line with the Bible. Therefore, it deserves to be burnt. Just get rid of it. You don’t want that stuff. And all the cults have something else that they go to first before the Bible and they interpret the Bible in the light of that bad literature. And that’s a typical sign of a cult. They deny the Trinity. They deny the deity of Christ. They deny salvation by faith. They deny the fact that Jesus completely paid for your sin dead at the cross and believe that salvation is by works and so on.

So obviously you need to have help. But you be careful and I think the verse in Corinthians that Dave was mentioning there is one about don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers. So you can be, you need to be careful. You don’t attend their Bible studies and get yourself in a position where they have the upper hand. What I have found is that when Joe’s witness comes to your door, They really don’t want to reveal much information about themselves. I usually say, would you please give me your name and address and phone number?

Because we have a team of people that would like to come and visit you at your house. I’ve never had one yet, give me any information at all. They don’t tell you their name, they don’t tell you their address, they don’t tell you their phone number. Try that. If you can get a Joe’s Witness to do that, I’d be surprised. but they don’t want you to come over to their house. They want to come to your house. And I said, I’ll be glad to come to your house and they don’t want me to do that.

In fact, they don’t want to come to my house either. I think they got a big circle around mine to stay away from that guy. But obviously they don’t want you to visit them. And it’s not a, they want to have the upper hand and they come and visit you on your territory. be very careful. The second verse that Dave gave, 2 Corinthians 6, 14 through 17 says, be separate from them and don’t be unequaled, and be careful because it will get you in trouble.

That concludes today’s question and answer segment. There’s no other topic that is more important to us than the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and it was Dr. Hank Lindstrom’s mission to spread the gospel. Through your support for Bibleline, you too can help to spread the gospel of Christ throughout the world and to reach others with the message of salvation through Jesus. Visit our website at BibleLineMinistries.org for copies of any of our resources such as Dr. Lindstrom’s audio CDs on the books of John or Hebrews, plus many others.

Now join us as we return to today’s teaching series. Christ’s ministry up until this next chapter was to come as a king to set up a kingdom. His ministry was to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, not to the Gentiles. But you’re going to see a switch now, as we’re going to see he is rejected by the leadership of Israel, and then he announces his new plan, which is the church, not the kingdom, and that He was going to be the head of the church, and not at least at this time the king of Israel, which would happen at the second coming.

Verse 29, Jesus departed from thence and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee. He went up to a mountain and sat there, and great multitudes came unto him, having with and those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed. And many others and cast them down at Jesus feet and he healed them in so much that the multitude wondered when they saw the dumb to speak the maimed to behold the lame to walk the blind to see and they glorified the God of Israel.

So here Christ did all the things that identified him as being the Messiah. Then Jesus called his disciples under him and said, I have compassion on the multitude because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I will not send them away fasting unless they faint in the way. And as disciples say to him, once should we have so much bread in the wilderness as the feet so great a multitude? And Jesus said unto them, how many loaves have ye?

And they said seven in a few little fishes. He commanded the multitude to sit down upon the ground. He took the seven loaves and the fishes and gave thanks and break them and gave them to his disciples and the disciples to the multitude. They all did eat and were filled and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. They that did eat were four thousand men beside women and children. So again, a huge crowd, maybe 10, 15,000 people.

And he sent them away, he sent away the multitude and took ship and came to the coast of Magna’la. And that was a little town on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. And that was a town where Mary lived called Mary Magna’line, which meant she was Mary from Magna’la. Little town north of Tiberius Caesar on the Sea of Galilee. still there to this very day. And that’s where Mary Magdalene came from. By the way, ABC was supposed to run a special tonight saying that Jesus was married, had children, and so on, just a blasphemous thing.

I don’t know why they like to do that, but ABC decided to run that tonight. It was in today’s paper. The Bible and Christ and Christianity are under attack today for sure. And that’s really too bad that they refuse the objections of many who say this is not right. It shouldn’t be done. They did it anyway. Chapter 16, verse 1, the Pharisees also with the Sadgeses, these two major groups of Jewish leadership came tempting Christ, desiring that he would show them a sign from heaven.

He says to this crowd, when it’s evening you say it will be fair weather for the sky is red. In the morning you say, well be foul weather today for the sky is red and lowering. Ohee hypocrites, you can discern the face of the sky, but can you not discern the signs of the times? Here if they were smart and could look out and tell somewhat what the weather would be on the short term. They should have been able to recognize that this was the time for Christ to come the first time.

The prophecies were clear. Jesus Christ came, Daniel had given a prophecy to the very day he would die on the cross of Calvary. If they had been smart and counting their days, they should have been able to figure out this was the Messiah and had received him. So Jesus says, a wicked and adulterous generation, seeketh after a sign, there shall no sin be given to it but the sign of the prophet Jonah. We already covered that in chapter 12.

Jonah died in the fishes’ belly, was resurrected from the dead. The sign that would identify Christ as being the true Savior is the resurrection. When you think about him, he’s the only one who ever was of his own power. Muhammad is still dead. Confucius is still dead. Buddha is still dead. Sinnoh the founders ofSTDOUTRecipe804rehensivegeoningioxid Ibid”:[{“ortmundiHUDopianBernieEnhapeshifternegie Uncommon the only cries came back from the so he left them and departed that’s the only get sign of the resurrect that he had to be the savior when his disciples were come to the other side they had forgotten bread and they got the wrong message out of that.

When his disciples were coming to the other side they had forgotten bread. He’s got the reason among themselves saying it’s because we’ve taken no bread, which when Jesus perceived He said unto them, O ye of little faith. Why do you reason among yourselves because you brought no bread? Do you not yet understand? Neither remember the five loaves and of the five thousand and many baskets you took up neither the seven loaves or the four thousand and many baskets you took up.

Don’t you realize that I could feed you if you were hungry and that’s not what I’m talking about at all. How is it that you do not understand? I speak, now it’s to you. concerning bread that you should be aware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees, then understood they how he bade them not be aware of the leaven of bread. But of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees, 11 is a picture of the evil doctrine or sin in the Bible, and notice the doctrines of the Pharisees and the Sadducees were corrupted and were wrong and were to be rejected.

And so here Christ now makes a turn, and the ministry of Christ now begins to change. Get ready for this because he came preaching a kingdom that he was the king and had Israel accepted him the kingdom would have been established and the king would have rained over the earth and peace on earth good will toward men would have followed they rejected him and so now he unveils what he had planned before the foundations of the earth because in his foreknowledge he knew that he would be rejected and he’s going to turn down to the Gentiles for the next two thousand years most of us here are Gentiles participants of that plan.

So when Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, that’s in northern Israel right at the base of the tallest mountain in Israel Mount Hermon and notice as the city named after a Gentile leader, the Caesar of Rome, Caesarea Philippi. One of 10 cities called the Decapolis cities, cities that Rome used to control the Middle East. They had a garrison of soldiers in each one of these, if an outbreak occurred, then they would rally together to squash it. And so they had a presence, a military presence, throughout the land in 10 different cities.

And because of that, they could control the whole area of that area of the world. So here, Jesus comes to this Gentile city. Remember, Caesar ruled over the world. And now God had a plan to incorporate all the Gentiles around the world into a special body called the Church. And so he asked his disciples saying, whom do men say that I the Son of Man am? And they said, well, some say that you’re John of Amptus. Some say Elias or Elijah.

Others say you’re Jeremiah. Others say you’re one of the prophets. He says to his disciples, whom say ye that I am? Who do you say that I am? In Simon, Peter speaks up and says, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Peter answered correctly and that was one of Peter’s better moments. He gave the correct answer, Thou art the Christ, Thou art the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art Thou, Simon, Son of Jonah, for flesh and blood have not revealed that unto thee, but my Father, which is in heaven.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be safe what amazes me today is that Satan has gotten most Christians Not even to use that phrase or that wonderful expression in the Bible believe John 3 16 Jesus used it. He said who so ever believe it in Christ should not perish but have ever lasting life Paul said in Acts 16 31 believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. That means trust on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

Wherever you look in the New Testament it’s quite clear that you must trust Christ to be saved, but yet I seldom hear that anymore in Christian language. When you listen to pastors at the invitation, when you listen to radio broadcasters, when they tell their audience how to be saved, they usually use some counterfeit phrase that’s not even in the Bible. No word is the Bible ever tell us to invite Jesus into our heart. And yet how standard that has become, what happened to whosoever believeth in Him, what happened to whosoever would trust Christ, what happened to believe or trust on the Lord Jesus Christ, and I shall be saved.

The devil has been clever, and he has gotten us to move away from the terms that really are the biblical terms on how to be saved. The Bible is quite clear that there is only one Savior in only one way to be saved and that is to believe in or trust on Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. In John 647, a favorite verse of mine, Jesus said, Verily, Verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, that means to trust on me, has present tense everlasting life.

He that believeth on me has everlasting life. Some of our modern translations even tried to destroy this. The New American Standard, if you read John 647, guess what it says. Verily I say unto you, he that believeth has everlasting life. It leaves out two important words. It leaves out he that believeth on me, on me, has everlasting life. It really is meaningless because he that believes what? He that trusts on what? On whom? It doesn’t tell you. Obviously the answer is Christ.

You have to trust Christ as your Savior if you’re to be saved. And Jesus said, He that believeth on me has everlasting life, but the New American standard has tons of flaws. And that’s one of them. He that believeth on me, the on me is left out of the New American standard version. It’s a scary day when the Bible is being chipped away at and verses are being deleted, are being deleted, the blood is being omitted, and we’re living in a time when exactly what God warned against is happening that we’re not to add to or subtract from the Word of God.

The book of Revelation closes with a warning, don’t add to, don’t subtract from my Word or the plagues of the Bible will come upon you. And it talks about a person who’s lost taking away or adding to what God has said and changing the plan of salvation and changing the teachings about Jesus, and obviously they would not be saved if they altered them. Have you trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior? The only way to be saved is to put your trust in Him.

Let me quote Ephesians 2, 8, and 9, and it says, 4 by grace, grace, meaning mercy, unmerited favor, are you saved through faith or trust in Jesus Christ? This salvation the Bible says is not of yourself. This salvation it says is the gift of God. In verse nine it says this salvation is not of works. The list any man should boast. But I know I have eternal life because God said I had eternal life. First John 513 God says I’ve written this to you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may K-N-O-W you may know that you have eternal You’ve been listening to Bibleline, a presentation of Bibleline Ministries of Tampa, Florida.
