The question is, DO YOU CARE? Do you care for the lost enough to give them the gospel? God cares! Jesus Christ cares! The Holy Spirit cares! The saved in heaven care! The lost in hell (hades) care! But what about you, you are the one who can do something about souls.

So Bibleline is coming to you right here from Tampa, Florida, from our studios and our program goes directly from here to Detroit up to a satellite over the equator and then radio stations pull our program down off of the satellite and that’s how the program then comes being broadcast to you. Also our signal goes up to the satellite for the streaming and so the satellite is essential today. the technology of our world today that allows for us to deliver this program from my microphone to your ear wherever you might be listening either on radio or on your internet and I hope that you’re enjoying.
We’re going to get into the Bible for a few minutes and then we’re going to also then take questions off here and on the ear. So you’re welcome to give as a call at 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. Joyce in Charlotteville, New York, has sent me a track and asked me to evaluate it. The track is called Who Is Jesus? And much of the track is very, very accurate and interesting, but where you need to check most tracks is at the very end.
And when we get to the prayer… It tells us, Heavenly Father, I confess that the only way I can be reconciled to you is through the atoning sacrifice of your only Son, Jesus Christ. I now accept the free gift of everlasting life and put my trust in Christ’s complete payment for all my sins. You know, that is absolutely perfect so far. But if you continue to read, it says here in response to your love and toward me I now make the commitment to turn away from my sins and begin a new life of love and obedience.
of love and obedience to you. I think it’s a little confusing when you add that into the mix in a salvation invitation because we are saved totally by accepting the free gift and then the Christian life has to do with our living for Christ. So I really don’t like it when it is not made clear that there’s a difference between salvation and discipleship. You know God receives us just like we are. I’m going to turn to the book of Romans in chapter 5, and in Romans chapter 5 the Bible teaches us that He saves us just as we are.
It says in Romans chapter 5 and verse 8, God commended His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, or from the Greek it would read while we were yet sinning, or yet in the state of sinning, or in the act of sinning. Christ died for us. So Christ died for sinful men. I love that hymn by that title. Christ died for sinful men. That’s the only kind he did die for. And because we’re all sinners, we are eligible for salvation because Christ died and paid for our sins by his death.
It says in verse 6 of Romans 5, for when we were yet without strength in due time Christ died for the ungodly. And there you have it again. So Christ died for people that are ungodly, that’s each and every one of us in the human race. We have all sinned, we’ve all come short of the glory of God, and when we simply receive the payment that Christ has made for our sin, God saves us. In Romans 5 and verse 1 it says, therefore, being justified, it really should read, having been justified.
Therefore, having been, it’s a past tense action. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have present tense peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. So our salvation is accomplished through what Christ did for us in the past. When we trust Christ as Savior, we then access this salvation and it becomes ours and we possess eternal life. We are in the last days and we are getting closer to the Lord’s return. Today is the anniversary of 9-11. We pray that nothing will happen on this anniversary day.
But certainly we are living, seeing signs that Christ spoke about yesterday. In Florida, all places we had an earthquake about 11 in the morning, 6.0 on the Richter scale. been a little bit larger, we would have had a tsunami as it was the bay and Tampa rose by one foot from the surge from that earthquake which was a little over 6.0 on the Ritker scale about 250 miles west of Tampa and south of the Panhandle. That’s unusual isn’t it?
And you know the Bible said it would be earthquakes in diverse places. So obviously they’re happening all over the place and all over the world. And it’s interesting that Christ in Matthew 24, when he said that there would be earthquakes in diverse places, was making a prediction that would occur 2,000 years later. And it seems like if you go and take a look at some of the sites on earthquakes, that the number of earthquakes and the severity of these earthquakes and the number of people killed by these earthquakes has dramatically increased over the past 10 or 20 years and we see a greater frequency and in more different places than perhaps ever before.
We are watching, I believe, the in-time events as they begin to unfold and you know these are signs for not the rapture but the second coming and the fact that we’re seeing them on this side of the rapture, things that will happen during the fibrillation period after the Rapture tells me that we’ve got to be getting close to this particular event. We know that there would be pestilences in curable diseases and wow do we have a host of those out there today.
And one of those of course is staff. And that staff infection is very, very deadly. reason why is because these germs have gotten pretty smart here where they can I defeat almost any antibiotic we throw at him. So when a person gets staff, which is quite common to have, but the dangerous staff that is out there and usually is caught in a hospital can kill you because they have to use the most powerful weapons in their arsenal of antibiotics to be able to to rid your body of this deadly staff today.
So it’s not just the exotic ones like the Ebola and the other West Nile. virus and other things that are out there floating around in this rare bird disease that they’re concerned about. But we have the more common things that are now maybe making a resurgence, including tuberculosis in other forms of diseases. And apparently during the tribulation period after the rapture, there will be lots of these pestilences that will kill millions. and perhaps AIDS might be at the top of the list because lots of folks have AIDS and have not yet experienced death from it because the incubation period is years and years and maybe after the rapture that many more millions will die as already millions and millions and millions have died from AIDS around the world and it is not slowing down apparently in other parts of the world, AIDS is spreading rapidly through
Asia and Africa and even parts of southern Europe and across Europe. We are living, I think, in the last days. Jesus Christ is first going to come for you and me at the Rapture and snatch us out. It could be that we only have 11 more days because the Feast of Trumpets is the most reasonable day for that event to take place. And that is September 22nd this year. And I’m not saying Christ is coming this year. He might come next year.
He might come the year after that. But certainly the signs are here that we should be ready and watching for his return. He could come this year. If he does, we’ve got 11 more days. And by the way, we’ll try to keep Bible on going after we’ve left if it’s possible. But we’ll have to see what happens. But once we leave, pretty much everything that we’ve done here on the planet will be on suspension or cancelled because we’ll be gone.
And won’t that be exciting though for all of us to meet the Lord in the air? And then the seven years of tribulation will follow, and then Christ comes back. And the signs that we read about in the Bible are generally for the second coming, and those things are already beginning to happen now, which leads us to believe that we’ve got to be close to that rapture that takes us out and marks the beginning of that seven years which is really the last seven years of the Old Testament.
If you have interested Christ, you need to do that. That’s the most important decision you’ll ever make. And that’s a free gift. We simply receive it by faith. But then separate from that is a separate decision altogether to become a disciple. That’s where you consciously choose to make your life a sacrifice for God that you’re going to live your life for His pleasure and His glory for the rest of your life. And that is a second decision the believer makes.
That’s the one that brings about rewards. That’s the one that brings about joy. It brings about seeing God working in your life and guiding and directing your life and so on. This is the choice you want to make after you become saved, but it has nothing to do, no bearing upon whether it was saved or whether it was not saved. It is a gift to go to heaven, but salvation is received by faith. The second decision is made that follows, which is discipleship for me.
It was a year between the two decisions. I trusted Christ at 18 at 19. I dedicated my life to Christ. Wallace, this is Bibleline, I’m Dr. Inchlinz from the phone number is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771, we’d love to hear from you. We have anonymous in Clearwater Florida, just called in just a moment ago. He says, in the woman riding the beast, he wants to know if we represent the new Babylon, That is, this is the woman that rides the beast. He says that the old Rome was the Catholic church and wants to know if you believe that we are the new Rome or Babylon.
Not even close. I believe that the woman is the religious system that is centered in a city. If you read Revelation 7… The Bible is a church that tells us the woman is a city. It tells us also the woman sits upon seven hills, which obviously is a identification as being Rome. It also tells us on our forehead is a name written mystery, Babylon the Great, the mother of all harlots and all false religions. And of course that is telling us it’s a religious system.
So I believe the world church that will emerge after the rapture will be headed up in the church. Rome, and that religious system will ride the beast. The beast is the Antichrist, and apparently the Antichrist will be controlled and apparently ridden by the woman until he shakes her off his back and destroys the church in the middle of the tribulation period. Apparently the Antichrist, when he proclaims that he is God, will destroy all the churches on the planet and he will have no competition so that’s exciting in any case uh…
the uh… woman are is the i believe roman catholic church the beast is the antichrist and uh… were excited about that you’re welcome to call us the phone number is one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one that’s one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one and you’re welcome to call us and we’ll be glad to get you up on the air. We’re going to go to St. Petersburg and we have Jose on the line.
Jose welcome to my line. Thanks. Good morning. How you doing? Good. I’m voice on because the phone’s been acting up a little bit. Your voice is beautiful. Okay. Yeah. I think we’ve had a record and sell a lot. Hey, I was just thinking about a couple of things the other day, the guilt diminishing and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the gifts that were given, the miraculous gifts, the healing gifts, the tongues and all those gifts. And just wanted to get your take on this, but from what I see, the mission of the gifts and the diminishing of Israel, they happen at the same time.
picture, the GIFs stating out of the picture, and in the end time, Israel again will have these great miraculous powers through the two witnesses and also through the 144,000 Israelites that are going to be witnessing at that time. Do you think that the great miracles are the property or the blessings of Israel? Because when you look at the Gentile period, this great period, we don’t have to. We don’t have those gifts. We make up that we have them. You know what I mean?
We can make believe that we have them. Well, all we don’t have them. There are really three different clusters of gifts. They are, of course, what happened in the Exodus. Obviously, it had to do with Israel and the deliverance of Israel out of Egypt. And then the second cluster of miracles was around the prophet Elijah and Elisha. Otherwise, the Old Testament is pretty silent about miracles and a cluster of them. And then of course the third grouping was when Christ came.
And these were all evidences of Christ being the Messiah. They would come to his entrance into this world. And of course in the tribulation period, after the rapture, the false Christ will do miracles. And we find that the anti-type of the Holy Spirit, the False Prophet, will have great powers to do signs and wonders and miracles that will deceive people on the earth and cause them to be pointed toward the Antichrist and Satan hymn. But we believe that in this present age that those gifts tapered off as the gospel went out to the Gentiles and there was obviously a transition but on day one Pentecost God turned the switch and all of a sudden we were into a new age where the Gentiles now were his witnesses and we find that God gave the miraculous gifts at Pentecost in order to help bridge that transition not only to witness to
Jewish people in Gentile languages from day one, but also to confirm the spoken word until the New Testament was completed. And you see that in the verses and Hebrews that explain that these gifts were like a confirmation of the spoken word until the New Testament record was put down on paper. But then they were rendered entirely unnecessary. And Paul and Corinthians tells us about the temporary nature of these gifts and how they would cease. So yes, I would agree with you that these gifts pretty much are only at certain periods of time, and I don’t expect for us as Christians to part the Red Sea again.
And so I don’t expect that we’ll be eating manna again, but during the tribulation period, God will miraculously feed Israel again as he protects her during that tribulation period. Thank you, Jose. This is Bibleline. Welcome to call us at 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We want to welcome those folks up in the Mobile, Alabama, Pensacola area as we’re now today. Hopefully, it should be that we’re broadcasting on WNVY 1090 AM on the AM dial and that is 10,000 watts that reach both Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola and of course a lot of the surrounding areas.
It’s a pretty powerful station. So we went off the station we were on in Pensacola and off the station we will go off the station I guess in a few more days than the one in Mobile, Alabama. But we’ll be moving now to WNVY 1090 which will reach that whole area of the west part of the Panhandle of Florida and the eastern part of Alabama. Welcome to Bibleline we’re so glad to have you guys on the air. Also Cincinnati, Ohio on WFCVX 1050 coming out of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Welcome to the Bible and program. We’d love to hear from you to know that you’re hearing and enjoying the Bible and program. So give us a call. We’d love to hear from you. In Luke 21 verse 25, Jesus here tells us something very interesting about what we might look for as we watch for His return. In Luke 21, 25, He says that in the last days as we approach His return that we would, and I’m turning there in my Bible as we speak and it says here in Luke 21 25 and my pages are stuck together.
Here we go. It says there should be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars. I think we’re seeing these things on a routine basis now. The space shuttle got launched on Saturday and apparently is just right on schedule. going to add a brand new 17 foot section to the space station as a large that place where there are people actually living in space 24 hours a day around the clock. And numerous other heavenly signs, they say there is an asteroid that will perhaps come all the way close enough to the airport, I mean to the planet and to our atmosphere to actually invade the space occupied by satellites right now.
That of course I think will be in the year 2027. But you know they’re discovering more and more as they go along, rocks that are headed out as, and perhaps some of these rocks might actually hit us, and that is a great worry. Certainly in the book of Revelation in chapter 8, it tells us about a meteor that apparently will strike the Earth, and that’s kind of a scary thing, isn’t it? Today we know that scientists are worried that there might be a piece of rock headed toward us that we haven’t seen or detected That could actually hit the planet and one of the trumpet judgments is definitely a meteor that will strike the Mediterranean Sea and Kill one third of all the life in the Mediterranean Sea and destroy one third of all the ships in the Mediterranean Sea Could it be that we are living where we are going to see some ominous things take place
on the planet? Of course, I am leaving it the rapture so I wouldn’t be here when that asteroid strikes. But apparently there are things like this, signs in the heavens that lead us to believe we are getting close. Also, upon the earth, the stress of nations which we see, the nations not able to solve the problems that are coming here on the earth. And lastly the storms that we see, the sea and the waves roaring. And we see, obviously, storms of all types on land and on sea that are constantly plaguing our earth.
I believe we must be getting close. And so Jesus says, when these things begin to come to pass, then lift up your heads. Look up and lift up your heads because your redemption draws nine. Well, you’re welcome to call us here at Bibleline 1-800-576-3771, and we’d love to hear from you today. If you haven’t trusted Jesus Christ as Savior, just talk to the Lord right now and tell Him, Lord, I am a sinner, and we all are. But I believe Jesus Christ died and paid for my sins by His death on the cross of Calvary.
And we know that Christ died to pay for the sins of every man, woman and child that would ever be born from Adam to the last man who ever lives on the planet. And if you simply put your trust in what he accomplished there at the cross for you, God will forgive you. You’ll become a child of God and you can be absolutely certain of going to heaven. And I hope you would do that right now. Just tell the Lord, Lord, I’m a sinner.
I believe Christ paid my sin debt and full at the cross by his death and shed blood was buried in rose again from the dead. I trust him right now as my Savior to save me and the moment you do, God will give you the gift of everlasting life. We’re coming up on our break time and we’ll have a second half of Bible. I hope you’ll tune into that. If your station doesn’t carry the full hour, you can go to the internet and right now you’ll be able to catch the program live and catch the full one hour program the second half will be on your internet.
In any case keep your radio dial tuned right where it is. We’re going to be right back after this short break and do the second half of Bible. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Right, we’re coming to you live from Tampa. I’m not very hang close to you, and this is Bibleline. And we look forward to being with you each and every day. I hope you will tell your friends about the program and help us expand our audience and also tell your friends and relatives around the world or in other parts of our country about the internet site, BibleLineMinistries.org, where you can catch our radio and our television programs from anywhere in the world.
That’s kind of nice. If you have maybe friends or loved ones in other parts of the world, maybe in the military, they can go to the internet and catch our Bible and video program and also watch our television programs from anywhere on the planet. And I hope you’ll tell your friends. We also are excited about how God has put us on the air in Mongolia with our Bible and television program and also down in Honduras with our radio program as we reach out to the island of Rupan which has 80,000 people off the coast of Honduras and also the major cities of Honduras, Togusa Calpa, the capital and other cities.
We are just excited about what God is doing in extending Bible and out. And of Of course, all of that is possible because of the prayers and the gifts of our listeners. If you are listening and you would like to help Bibleline continue to get the Word of God out and to expand, you can send a gift to Bibleline by mail or you can give a gift by credit card over the phone. If you will simply call our 800 number, our operators will assist you either by sending you an envelope with our address on it or taking your gift by credit card over the phone.
But no doubt, without our partners, our listeners who obviously are the major supporters of this program, we could not be on the air. Pre-force, would you? We’ve got answers, prayer, and we’ve covered your prayers for Bible and for our staff and for just everything to work right. equipment. We have had some damages this summer from lightning and those things happen. We need your continued prayers for God’s protection upon our staff and upon the equipment and upon every aspect of this broadcast that we might be able to send the gospel out across the world from our Bible and Headquarters.
We are going to do our second half of Bible line. If you don’t have a station that carries that, go to the internet right now and go to BibleLineMinistries.org or dot com. Click on that little TV set in the Apparite Him corner and just follow the instructions you will be connected to our show. Keep you ready to be able to tune right here. We are about ready to join the stations that have been on break and so get ready.
We are going to do the second half of Bibleline. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bibleline and we’re excited about being able to be with you every day Monday through Friday and I hope if you’re just finding us that you’ll tune in every day and of course if you’re a long time listener that you would continue to listen and help us expand our audience.
We have a number of wonderful things in our Resource Center. One of the greatest books we have is the handbook on personal evangelism. This book tells you how to open mouth, what to say when mouth is open, how to lead that person to Christ and then how to close your mouth and wind it up and lead that person to Christ. And it tells you how to do this with a cult member with an atheist and agnostic and evolutionist and just your family member.
It’s wonderful. There is no book like it on the planet. You cannot buy it in your Christian bookstore. You can only get it through us. Why not invest that $12 and get this handbook on personal evangelism. It’s a great gift to give to others who are wanting to learn how to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We also have the Scofield Reference Bible. It’s getting more and more difficult nowadays to get the old Scofield Bible, which we believe is greatly superior to the newer editions that are coming out.
And Oxford Press is making it much more difficult now. They’ve taken the old Scofield and the new Scofield and merged them into a kind of a hybrid of the Scofield, which the notes are watered down and they’ve added notes that are not by Dr. Scofield and changed the text in the Bible and everything else. I’m really disappointed in this new hybrid that they have out. We have the old, that’s the only one we really promote and you might want to get one from us.
You generally will go to the bookstore and they won’t have it or they won’t even know what you’re talking about. We’re talking about the 1909 or the 1917 editions of the Scofield Reference Bible. We also have concordances and those are valuable. We have the strongest concordance which is about like two phone books all put together in one and it has the combined scholarship of 200 Hebrew and Greek scholars that will allow you with a simple number code system to be able to look up the Hebrew and Greek words and the meaning in the original manuscripts as to what the Bible is really saying.
Invaluable when you’re studying the Bible. In fact, when you look up a particular word, like say the word house, every time the word house occurs in the Bible, it partially quotes those verses so you can easily find a passage you’re thinking about and maybe all you can remember is one word in that verse and you’ll be able to find it quickly and you’ll be able to look up the original word in the Greek or Hebrew, depending whether it’s an Old Testament or New Testament verse and you’ll be able to find out what it really means from the original languages.
Valuable, valuable. We have CDs and DVDs of my teaching. We have about 40 presentations of different books of the Bible and different topics of the Bible of 10 hours or more on CD. A lot of people are enjoying this as they study. You can stop the CD, back up, go forward and so on. It makes it real easy for personal study and also for a group study You might want to consider these things and also of course You can just give a gift to Bible and which would really help us to make sure that we’re able to bring this program to you and Continue to expand the ministry.
We have some patient people waiting on the line here We’re gonna go to Maria in Tampa, Florida and Maria. Welcome to Bibleline your own ear Good morning. I I list to your program every day I have a question that has me intrigued. Most of the time that I have gone to church, I have gone to a full gospel church, and it’s mainly based on Pentecostal religion. based on Pentecostal religion. Speaking tongues, I don’t understand it, I don’t believe it, but at times I am less puzzled because they have said to us that To read Matthew 1232 and of course I don’t want to sin against the Holy Spirit that if anyone that’s left for my against the Son of Man which is Jesus Christ he will be forgiven but if anyone that’s like anything against the Holy Spirit would not be forgiven in this century or in the coming one and so
I am left like to I believe in it so I believe in it and and so I want you to clear me on this because I don’t want to sin against the Holy Spirit. That’s a common thing that they say to anybody’s critical of the tongues movement as being false. And I believe the tongues movement is false and this is not the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. I’d like to redirect you to Mark’s Gospel chapter 3 and there you have the same story told by Christ about the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
And you’ll notice he identifies what that blasphemy is clearly in Mark chapter 3 verse 30. It says they were in danger of eternal damnation because they said Christ hath an unclean spirit. So it is to attribute the works of Christ to Satan and not to the Holy Spirit who was the one that empowered Christ and did the miracles through Christ that he did. So to say that Christ is not the Savior, not the Messiah, is an imposter, a fraud, a counterfeit.
Yes, he heals, but he does it by Satan’s power, not the power of the Holy Spirit. That is the blasphemy. And so to say something about tongues is that in fact the Holy Spirit has nothing to do with this gibberish that’s going on today. I know and understand everybody says the same thing. You know, it sounds more like the same thing. Yeah, it is. I don’t understand it. I went to a church on Sunday and the pastor questioned if anyone had not received the Holy Spirit to raise their hand.
I guess he’s pressured by those that definitely believe. Since he’s part of the Pentecostal movement, they probably say he doesn’t say it, so they probably pressure him to say it publicly. To raise their hand, of course, many raise their hand. I didn’t raise my hand even though I haven’t because I… Well you have received the Holy Spirit if you are a believer, Maria, because every believer receives the Holy Spirit at the moment you believe. Ephesians 1-13, I hope you are writing these down.
Chapter 1 verse 13 says, Having believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit. So it is simultaneous with belief. When you believe on the Lord Jesus as your Savior, it says in Ephesians 1-13 that you You hear the word of truth and then it goes on to say more specifically the gospel message of your salvation having believed. He said if you went up up times and comes and that to raise the hand. So many raised their hand and he said if you want to receive a come here right now.
So a few went in not everybody that raised him. He even said everybody didn’t come and I say to myself because they’re in doubt so they don’t want to come. He said come and he prayed for those that came. He prayed for them to get the gibberish and all that is just totally wrong. If you trust Jesus as your only hope of heaven, you do receive the Holy Spirit at the moment you believe. But the gift of tongues has ceased and all that they are doing is a gibberish that is done by all the world religions, is done by the cults included as Mormons who do the gibberish and it’s not from God.
Yeah, yeah, and I noticed that the new age movement date do some kind of tons because I heard them on TV also talking You know these things and I thought I I have I have been going to because that’s the new movement That took people out of the Catholic religion We have a wonderful book here in our resource center called the Holy Spirit by Charles the Bibles rirey that will just really help you immensely. And or I have a 12 hour teaching on CD about the Holy Spirit.
Or if you just want to get one CD, I have one that just goes through this whole thing about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the speaking in tongues and what the Bible really does say. And the Bible says every believer is baptized with the Holy Spirit, not everybody would have the gift of tongues and today nobody has a gift of tongues because it was withdrawn it was temporary and deceased Maria I thank you for calling and I hope it’s helped a little bit and you might want to order some of those things or just keep listening to Bible on okay I do listen every day okay morning and I listen first to the one that that’s before you I’m Roger.
I did Roger’s right. Yeah. Yeah. Well God bless you and you know What is more serious is that generally the Pentecostal churches teach you can lose your salvation and If they teach that that is a major major major area of error because that means that you have to work To get it or keep it and that’s salvation by works and therefore if you’re trusting in your works to be saved You won’t be saved at all according to the Bible in Romans 11 six If it be of works, then it’s no more of grace.
Otherwise, work isn’t work by definition. But if it’s by grace, then it’s no more of work. As soon as you add any work to salvation, you have violated God’s offer and you will not be saved. Ruby, you are up on the air. Ruby, welcome to Bibleline. Thank you for holding so patiently. Ruby, you’re on the air. Yes, I’m calling it fine. I deal with a lot of seven-day events. I have one lady that called me every morning, that’s a seven-day event, it’s a prayer.
But she don’t believe that you, she believes in grace, but she believes that she have to be under the law. And it’s like a couple of them that I’m dealing with and I read your book, handbook, or personal evangelism. But every time, even to preach it, it’s like turning to an argument and I just don’t know how to handle it anymore. It’s tough, but the seven-day Adventists talk about two things. And obviously they don’t see that it’s a contradiction.
They talk about grace, but they believe in the false teaching of the investigative judgment where they say that Christ came back in the 1800s to the holy of holies where he began what they call the investigative judgment where he’s weighing out your works to determine whether you’re worthy of grace. Well, that’s completely nonsense. The Bible doesn’t teach any such thing. And that’s one of the many false doctrines of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. But it makes salvation ultimately by work.
So in one breath they say it’s by grace, and then they say you deserve or earn grace by your works, which is really, really crazy. And then the Roman Catholics do the same thing. They say that through the sacraments you receive grace. So basically you work to get grace, which the Bible says in Romans 11, 6 is a contradiction. If it’s by grace, then it’s not of works. Otherwise grace isn’t grace. But if it be of works, then it’s no more of grace.
Otherwise work isn’t work. So the Bible tells us really that grace means the absence of any works or any contribution on your part. And so Ruby, you just have to stick with some basic verses like John 3, 16, Ephesians 2, 8, and 9, and just really stay on the issue that salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone. And if it’s by grace Romans 11, 6, then it is no more of works. And so unfortunately, if those seven dead men’s friends of yours are trusting in the law or works, they will not be justified.
will not be saved. It tells us in numerous verses that no flesh shall be justified by the works of the law. Relations 216 tells us that. So if they are trying to be justified before God by the works of the law, they will not be justified. The Bible is very clear in dozens of verses that you cannot be. So thank you so much for your call and we are going to go now to Betty in Citrus County. Did you feel the earthquake up there, Betty?
No, I didn’t. I wasn’t swimming that at that point in time. How you doing brother? Well, all right. I heard that Citrus County felt the shake a little bit up there. Oh, I must have been in the sound sleep. Well, we didn’t feel it either. We were having our church service when it happened apparently and I didn’t feel things so interesting though anyway. Well, how can I help you Betty? I’m trying to do more study on eschatology brother Lynchton and I’ll be teaching it.
So I want to make sure that I am as accurate as possibly can be. I’m looking here at a piece of literature I got in the mail from the Hebrew Christian ministry that we do support and respect, but it makes a statement regarding dispensational pre-millennialism. He says that a thousand-year reign begins when Jesus returns for his church when he will literally reign over the world. My understanding is that won’t begin until he returns because really all hell will break loose once the church is taken out and Jerusalem is going to be trampled down once again by the Gentiles.
So I don’t see how Christ would be raining at that point in time. Would you give me an explanation there? No, it’s absolutely wrong. Certainly the Lord comes for his church at the Rapture and then comes back with his church at the Second Coming seven years later. So apparently he’s not making a distinction. The second coming of Christ is when he comes back to the earth with his bride, but he comes back as Israel’s king. Christ has never spoken of as the king of the church.
He’s the head of the church, but is the king of Israel. And after we, the body of Christ, have been caught up to our hearts. the body of Christ have been caught up to our head, which is Christ, in the air at the rapture, and seven years later he’ll come back as king for Israel. But that is just the wrong teaching. I understand him to hold that particular position, and I’m wondering if it’s a typo, because what a difference one word can make.
Yeah, that could be, yeah, it could be, but I, you might have to check that out, but I, definitely the way you read it to me, it is incorrect. That’s right. Well, we’re still considering you, Manna, in the morning, dear brother, and we’re getting our food from you. And we just thank you, we continue to pray and support you. We love you. Thank you so much, Betty. That’s Betty, listening up in Citrus County, Florida. And that is exciting stuff.
We have Tony in Richmond, Virginia calls in off the air and he says, do you refute what Paul says if you don’t pray or speak in the Spirit, you will never talk to God. It is used for intercession and building yourself up according to Tony. Well Paul says that if you speak in tongues, you need to be able to be clearly understood by the hero and that’s what he says in first print is fourteen nine he says except you speak by the tongue words easy to be understood how shall it be known what is spoken you just wasting air you speak into the air and so the bible never talks about uh…
the uh… gift of tongues being a prayer language or uh… to build yourself up that is uh… that is craziness the The gift of tongues was used for evangelism, Tony. If you read verse 22 of chapter 14 of Corinthians, it says, tongues are for a sign, not to those that believe, but to those that believe not. So if you have the gift of tongues, you need to go out and use it with the lost. I’ve never had anybody do that in my presence.
I’ve invited people to go with me. In my car, we’ll go to the mall or someplace where there’s a crowd of people. I will get a crowd together if I have to freak out and send them a hit. I’ll get a crowd together. But then I would introduce you and let you speak in your gift of tons, which I believe is probably the gibberish, and nobody wants to do that in public. They know it’s not well received by the unsaved.
But the real gift was assigned to unbelievers, and it was the means of getting the gospel to them in the language in which you were born and raised. Read the book of Acts. It uses the Greek word dialectos and speaks of a specific dialect, of a specific language and the people that heard it said, how is it that we hear in the very language in which we are born and raised? That’s not happening today. The modern movement is a gibberish.
It’s done by the Buddhist. It’s done by the people in Islam. It’s done by the people in Hinduism and all the different world religions around the world. In fact, missionaries have told me down in Central and South America that those who have the gibberish go to language school, I don’t know why, and then they learn the language, the foreign language, they come down to the jungle and they teach the people to do the gibberish that they’ve already been doing.
These are the witch doctors been teaching them to do that for hundreds and hundreds of years. So there’s no improvement. They still do the same gibberish, but the witch doctors already taught them before they got here. It’s craziness because the gibberish is already being done in the jungle. It’s done in every tribe. The witch doctors teach that gibberish. It’s something that’s headed by all the world religions. But the unique gift of the Bible was to speak in a known foreign language, a specific dialect of that person.
So they would hear and understand the gospel in their language. That is not happening today. We have Edgar and Edgar is in Petersburg, Virginia. Edgar, welcome to Bible Ed. Um, got the hand just The baptism and repentance. You know, talking about John about this and John about this told them that they were to be baptized with his baptism, which was an indication that they would change their mind and believe on the one that would come after him, which was Jesus Christ.
Let me read that from chapter 19 of the book of Acts and you’ll see how clear it is as we have a clear definition there of what John the Baptist. was talking about when he baptized those that were under his ministry. This is Acts chapter 19 and I’m almost there in my Bible. And it says in Acts, my pages are sticking together today, and it says in Acts 19 that Paul said John barely baptized with the baptism of repentance.
That’s a baptism of a change of mind, saying unto the people that they should believe on Him which should come after Him, that is on Christ Jesus. So that’s what John was baptizing about. He was telling them that they needed to believe on Christ, that he was the forerunner, he was introducing Christ, and their baptism was a baptism saying that they would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ that they would change their mind and believe on Him when Christ would appear after John the Baptist had concluded his ministry.
That’s exactly what happened. So I hope that helps a little bit there Edgar. Yeah, because I mean, you know, when you read this, like the baptism of repentance, because I have your studies, Bible article inductors on the 10 baptisms and you know, I read that baptism of repentance. I’m like, man, something something is wrong. I thought maybe, you know, I’m. I would list it as a separate one but it’s the same as the baptism of John the Baptist. So if you have my list of 10 different baptisms in New Testament, the baptism of repentance is the baptism of John the Baptist when he baptized with water.
Okay. A baptism of a change of mind that they should believe on the one that would come after him that Christ was preparing the way for and introducing as Christ was introduced into this world by John the Baptist. Okay, so it’s like a two-in-one deal. Yeah. Okay Okay, appreciate it Dr. Heg. Alright, Edgar. Thank you for calling in from Petersburg, Virginia. And we’re excited about getting apparently those radio problems solved there in Richmond. I think they had a lightning strike to their equipment and they were having some problems.
So we should do a appreciate your calling in it, Garin. Apparently the signal is loud and clear again. Let me just tell you about our internet site again, BibleLineMinistries.org.com. You can click on that TV set in the upper right hand corner of the home page and you’ll be connected to a page that on the left side is our television programs. On the right side has our radio programs and we hope that you’ll take advantage. We have Tony and Tony is in Richmond, Virginia and let’s see if Tony is on this line.
That’s not the right line. And let’s see. Tony, are you there? And I can’t get Tony on that line. So somehow we got him mixed up here. We’ll give that a try again in just a moment. So Tony, give us another call. We may have lost you somehow. But give us a call back and we’ll try to get you up on the air. We’re right at the end of our program and we may or may not be able to get Tony back but we certainly want to let you know that we have a resource sheet that we just have recently published that has a listing and description of everything in our resource center.
This, I think, will be helpful to you. We have the track for evangelism called am I going to heaven that is incredible it almost does all the work for you if you in fact we’ve had many people get saved just by receiving the track. If they read it, it guides them right through the whole planet of salvation and we find people really understand the gospel and get saved through reading that track. We sell them in bundles of 50 or 100 and it’s a great evangelistic tool. We also have a track called the Free Ticket Track that we sell for a gift of I think $10 or $12 for $500.
And these are great evangelistic tools that you might want to use. We hope that you’ll join us again tomorrow. Tell your friends about the program and join us every day. And of course, take advantage of the Internet and you can listen to the program anytime over the next 24 hours and actually over the next month because our programs drop back into the archive section where you can listen to them as often as you want. And by the way, they can be downloaded for free in the MP3 format where you can hear past programs and hear them again and again and again.
