Bibleline Radio Show – 2006-09-18 – Who, Me, In The Rapture?

How much time do we have left until Jesus Christ returns from heaven to take us out at the rapture? Although, we cannot know the exact date of His return, the signs are so abundant about us that we know that we must be near.

Hey, guess what? Tomorrow night we’ll start classes and we’re excited about that. If you’re in driving distance, we hope you’ll join us in the classroom. The class will be called meeting the challenge. It’ll be a broad-based class telling us what the challenges are from God’s word, what God expects of us as a believer, what happens if you do, What happens if you don’t meet the challenge? How to meet that challenge and how to be successful at it? We’re going to be having fun.

I think it’s going to be great. I’m looking forward to it. I’d love to see you in my classroom tomorrow night. It’ll be from 7 to 9 for 5 Tuesday nights. And you’re welcome to be a part of that class. It’ll be a lot of fun. In any case, we’re so glad to have you with us today.

Thanks for tuning in. We hope that you’re continuing to tell your friends about the program and have them join us also here on Bible Life. So don’t forget, tomorrow night those classes begin. It’s hard to believe we’ve already come here to the 19th. Of course we’re coming up on. A Rasha Shana, the Feast of Trumpets, the 22nd of September, which is right around the corner. And it could be that we’ll just suspend everything, because if the Lord comes this year, that is the most reasonable date for Him to come.

And maybe we’ll only have a few days left, and we’re going to be out of here. And wouldn’t that be something? Now I’m not setting a date for the Lord’s return, but I am saying whatever year He comes back. It will probably be on the Feast of Trumpets, especially considering that the first four feasts given in Leviticus 23 were fulfilled literally on the day. Christ died as the Passover lamb on the Feast of Passover, and we know that it was told in advance exactly when he would die.

He would die in the evening of the Passover, which is the preceding day, the preparation day and he would die at a time which is called the evening period which is the twilight between three and afternoon and six and Christ died exactly at three o’clock on that day as predicted in the Old Testament and that’s why the Bible says that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried during the Feast of Unleavened Bread and he rose on the Feast of First Spirit’s Day, we know that was always a Sunday, and Christ rose 72 hours after He was placed in the grave.

And then the 50th day after the resurrection, the Feast of Pentecost, was the very day when the Holy Spirit came, and this church age began. It’s so reasonable to believe, since all four of those were fulfilled literally on the day, that the next feast, the Feast of Trumpets, which will signal the return of Christ to snatch us out and conclude the church age will happen right on the day. Are you excited? Have you done any rapture practice? Have you gotten up on your tippy toes and kind of rocked back and forth and flapped your arms a little bit?

Of course, I’m having fun with you. You don’t have to do any of those things to be raptured. If you’re a believer, you’re going to be in it. First Thessalonians 4.14 says the key to being saved and the key to being in the rapture should you be alive when the Lord comes is to trust Christ as Savior. It says, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, then you’re going to be in this event. 1 Thessalonians 4, 14, mark it down.

It’s a wonderful verse. And it says, if you believe, that means if you trust that Jesus died and paid for your sins and was buried and rose again from the dead, God says, you’re going to be in that event. Isn’t that exciting? I’m looking forward to it, and the Bible tells us we ought to be watching for His coming 23 times in the Gospels Christ tells us to watch for His return. Are you watching? If you’re not, you’re disobedient, you’re delinquent as a Christian.

Many churches aren’t even paying attention. Christ is coming and we ought to be watching for His coming. We ought to be living in the expectation of His coming. The Bible says there’s a crown, a special crown given to those who are watching for His return. That’s right, 2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 8. That should be a piece of cake. An easy crown to earn, all you have to do is love his appearing, look forward to Christ’s return and live your life in that expectancy.

And according to 2 Timothy 4 8, you’ll receive that crown of righteousness which is given to those who are looking and watching and living in the expectancy of Christ’s return. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to getting that crown. I’ve been watching for Christ’s return ever since I got saved. I said, wow, what a time to be living to be possibly one of those that will never die. It will be caught up and transformed into their new bodies on the way up.

And that’s exactly what’s going to happen on the event called the Rapture. Well, we’re so glad to be able to be with you today. And I’ve met so many people that say, I listen every day. day. I want to say how to that couple families that came all the way from Deltona, Florida. That’s all the way on the other side of the state of Florida that came to our worship services and tell me that they listen to Bibleline every day so I’m sure they’re listening this morning.

We sure enjoyed meeting you and many others that came and visited some from great distances and that’s exciting. It might be that we’ll all meet in the air on the 22nd. Wouldn’t that be something? I’m going to make it my best or try my best to give everybody a high five on the way up. If we can do that, it’s going to be happening pretty quick in the twinkling of an eye. And some people misread that and they think like the winking of an eye, that’s more measured time.

But the twinkling is almost like instantaneous. That little reflection that comes off of your eye happens instantaneously. the way the RaptureCertain is going to be. Christ will come back to the upper atmosphere. Shout! There will be the sound of the trumpet, the voice of the Archangel, and… Those that have already died and are with the Lord, their new bodies will rise up from the earth, and then we, which are alive and remain, will follow, and will be transformed into our new bodies on the way up.

You know, I love there’s a verse in Philippians that I like that really is about this event called the Rapture. I’m so surprised that people say you can’t find the rapture in the Bible and I’m just shocked because certainly it’s there and it says in Philippians chapter 3 our Citizenship verse 20 of chapter 3 of Philippians is in heaven Did you know that if you’re a believer you’re a citizen of heaven and it says our citizenship is in heaven from once also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are looking for Him. We are watching for Him. To come back, who shall change verse 21, our vile body? That it may be fashioned like into his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able to even do all things with himself. My friend, that’s the Rapture. That’s the Rapture. I am a citizen of heaven. I am looking for Christ to come back, and when he comes back, he is going to change my vile body into a body that will be fashioned like after his glorious body.

Where are these people coming from that say that they can’t find the rapture in the Bible? Maybe they’re not saved. I don’t know. You know the Bible says the first Corinthians 2, 14, the natural man, the unsaved man, the unborn again man cannot see the things of the Spirit of God. They’re foolishness unto him neither can he know them because they’re spiritually discerned and maybe because they don’t see anything in the Bible is because they don’t have the new birth, they don’t have the Holy Spirit to unfold the Scriptures, but they’re there.

I see it everywhere and it’s amazing how this is one of the most exciting, I think, motivational doctrines in the Bible to keep us on our toes, to keep us excited. The fact that Christ could come back even this week surely ought to excite all of us. Anyway, I didn’t set the date of the Rapture. You could play this back on the internet and find out I didn’t say that Christ was coming on the 22nd of this year, but he could.

And if he does come this year, it’s highly likely, but that is the very day that he’ll come. Anyway, I’m Dr. Eglinschen. This is my blend. Great to be with you. Hope you’ll come to my classes tomorrow night. If you’re in driving distance, otherwise you can call our operators. You can register and get a code and you’ll be able to pull up the classes live on the Internet beginning tomorrow night. That is so exciting. I can’t believe it. The technology today is really, really exciting.

We have some offer questions and people are calling in to get up on the air and we’re going to take those calls. Numbers 1-800-576-3771, that’s 1-800-576-3771. All fear, Benjamin in Clearwater calls in and he says, are the 10 virgins Jewish or are they the church? In that passage in Matthew chapter 25, you’ll find the first, I think, 12 or 14 verses talk about the ten virgins, five or wise, five or foolish. These, I believe, are Jewish and it’s after the Rapture.

The church is gone, so it certainly can’t be the church. It could be Gentile, but most likely this is talking about Christ coming back for Israel at the the second coming, and the five foolish are definitely unsaved. You’ll find in verse 12, Jesus said, I know you not, which tells us clearly they never knew the Lord is our Savior, because the Lord knows those that are His. The Bible tells us that clearly in 2 Timothy chapter 2, it tells us that the Lord knows those that are His, and so He doesn’t know that means that they are not saved.

Also, Jack in Chester, Virginia calls in and he says, is Israel the bride that is talked about in Revelation? The answer is no. The bride of Christ is the church, the body of Christ comprised of every believer from Pentecost till the the Rapture. Israel is known in the Bible as the wife of Jehovah. The bride is the Church, which is obviously the bride of Christ. But the wife of Jehovah is Israel. So no, the bride in Revelation is not Israel.

The bride is of course the Church. Alright, we are obviously We are obviously excited about taking your call and you’re welcome to call in at 1-800-576-3771. We have Twilah calling in from St. Petersburg. Twilah, you’re on the air. Welcome to Bibleline. Hi, Dr. Hank. Thank you. Let me see. I am in discussion with my brother-in-law who is an elder, Joe Bewin. He stumps me with the question, why do Christians, why is it okay for Christians to go to war?

And he always uses the example where an American Christian will fight against an Iraqi Christian and kill each other, brother killing your brother. And of course he doesn’t listen to any Bible passages. can ever bring up. But I was wondering if you could say something practical that I could maybe explain to him. Okay. Well, anyway, that’s not a major issue. The major issue is that he’s lost in going to hell because he rejects who Jesus Christ is. I know.

I bring it back to that all the time. But they like to just argue about nitpicky things and they get you signed right in and but in case in Roman chapter 13 we’re supposed to submit ourselves to our governments and we’re to pay our taxes and if we’re conscripted to go to war we’re to go to war for our country and and I know that the Jehovah Witnesses will not fight for their country they won’t even salute the flag of the country they won’t pledge allegiance to the country and I have a problem with all that the Bible tells us were to be loyal to our government I I don’t think the Joe’s witnesses get much right at all.

I personally think that it’s easier to categorize all the things that they don’t believe rather than tell you what they do believe. I can tell you, they don’t believe in the deity of Christ, they don’t believe in the Trinity, they don’t believe in the resurrection of Christ, they don’t believe in salvation by faith, they don’t believe in hell. They obviously, we can just list on and on all the things that they don’t believe and It’s easier. They don’t believe in saluting the flag, pledging allegiance to the country, going to war for their country.

They obviously have a negative position on just about everything. But I’ll tell you one thing. In Philippians chapter 2, it tells us that God exalted Christ above every name, that His name is above every name. And that one day every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Jehovah. Well, they better not wait because one day in hell they will confess, it says there in Philippians chapter 2 that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Jehovah, which is what they deny now.

So if you don’t confess Christ is Jehovah now and trust him as your Savior, you will one day do it, but it will be too late in hell. That Lord in Philippians is the Greek word kurias, but you’ll notice it’s a direct quote from Isaiah chapter 45 where the Hebrew word is Jehovah. And so it is made equivalent, therefore it is saying that Jesus is Jehovah. So there’s no doubt about it. It’s clear. And obviously they’re not very good Bible students.

All they do is polypare it whenever the Watchtower Society tells them to believe. If you were to take away the Watchtower Society and all their literature and just let them read the Bible, guess what? I think they might get saved. Well, their old publications even states that if you were to study for 10 years as a witness, you would be on the right track with the publications. But if you took those away in within two years, you would go back to the old apostasy of the church.

Absolutely. They know that. They know that they are held in their bluestest and by the Watchtower Society. Well, I’ll pray for you, Twilight, you’ve got a tough… Yeah, I’ve been fucking with him for eight years now. Yeah, and it’s difficult to get through. I think you have to shake him up and let him know that if they don’t confess Christ as Jehovah now, they will confess him as Jehovah in hell. Yeah. Which they don’t believe in, but they’ll be there.

Okay. Thank you, Twilight. Alright. And that’s sad. I tell you, I’ve led a number of Joe’s witnesses to Christ. And I don’t want anybody to go to hell and need it as God. Jesus died for them. The Bible tells us over in Peter that those who are false teachers, which the Jehovah Witnesses are, deny the Lord that bought them. That just blows my mind because it says in 2 Peter 2 verse 1, they deny the Lord that bought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

So when you deny that Jesus is the Lord, that he is Jehovah, and that he died to pay for your sins, and he is the only means of salvation, you bring upon yourselves swift destruction because you deny him. That’s exactly what’s going wrong with the Jehovah’s Witnesses and many other cult groups. We have Frank in Plant City, Florida and Frank, welcome to Bibleline. You are on the air. I have a big hearth in, but he’s so many. You need to turn your radio down Frank because I hear it loud in the background.

Thank you sir. I got a question for you to wrap my phone with me about speaking tongues. Okay. I will tell you about two or more people speaking tongues with all their translators. Well that means. Well, obviously, it’s talking there in 1st Corinthians 14 about the misuse of the gift of tongues. The Corinthians were acting like little kids like little babies. They wanted to show off and They wanted to show off their gift and they misused it by showing it off in church They should have been using it out with the lost and if you read the verses just above it in first Corinthians 14 22 It says tons are assigned not for the believers in the church But for the unbeliever so they were to use it with the lost and lead him to Christ But they were using it in church where nobody understood that language

So he said, if you are going to insist to use it in church, then you need to have somebody interpret so everybody in the church will benefit from what you have to say. But that was just allowing them to go ahead and be a little bit like babies. And he’s really telling them, up in verse 20, to be like men in understanding. To know what’s going on here, that God gave this gift to evangelize the lost, which nobody Today is doing and I believe the gift of tongues has ceased.

1 Corinthians 13 tells us in verses 8 through 10 that when the New Testament record was completed that the gift of tongues would come to an utter and complete halt, they would cease. We have a great book in our Resource Center by Merle Unger, the author of the Unger Bible Dictionary and many other wonderful books. He’s got one called the New Testament Teaching on Tons. And he exegetes these passages in chapters 12, 13 and 14 in Corinthians which deal with Tons and he slammed dunks and nails the coffin shut forever on this tung thing.

What’s being done today is a gibberish and it’s not the real gift. Frank, I thank you so much and I hope I’ve helped you. We’re now going to Orange City near the land, Florida, and we have Mildred on the line, and Mildred, welcome to my blind year on the air. Well, thank you, Dr. Lindstrom. I sure enjoy your program. I have a question about heaven, and there are Bible verses which say heaven is up or that God looks down upon us.

I also read that God dwells in the third heaven and far beyond the stars and the planets and the galaxies and so forth. Thinking about others living in different parts of the earth, such as the southern hemisphere, heaven is still up for them. And so should we think of heaven as surrounding us like wrapped around the universe? If we did, how do we think about the New Jerusalem when it descends from heaven? Only descends from one place. There you go.

Well I have written an article on that. You can get my word to send it to you or if you have internet access you can download it. But the Bible hints that heaven is in the north in our universe which is always the same direction from any place on the planet earth. It tells us in Job chapter 26 verse 7 about a void in the north, a corridor where there are no stars. When scientists recently had discovered that first it was discovered with a 200 inch telescope in Mount Palomar, California.

This corridor apparently is where heaven is in Isaiah 14 when Satan wanted to overthrow God. He said he was going to ascend to heaven and he said he was going to sit upon the Mount of the congregation in the sides of the north. It implies here this corridor, this void with sides in the north where apparently heaven is. There are numerous numerous verses and you can get a concordance and find them for yourself or you can read my paper.

Just call back later after the program and ask my operator to send you the sheet called Heaven in the North. It even tells us in Psalm 75.5 that salvation comes from the north. I believe the correct answer there is Mildred that Heaven is in the North in our universe. Okay, well, thank you very much. You’re very welcome and thank you. Yeah, if you were to just say up, you’re right. That would really not be the same direction, would it, for people living in different parts of the Earth or different times of day because the Earth is turning on its axis?

I hope everybody listening has trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior. If you haven’t, yeah. Just whisper that prayer right now. Just say, Lord, I’m a sinner. I don’t understand much. But I trust Jesus Christ right now as my Savior. I believe He died for me, was buried in rose again from the dead. And I trust Him as my only hope of heaven. And you know God will save you at that very instant. And from that moment on, you’ll possess everlasting life.

Then there’s a second decision to make. You need to choose the serving after your saved and that will bring about rewards and blessings. Joy comes by living for Christ and we hope that you’ll make that second choice. I made my second choice a year later after I had become saved. So when you trust Christ, it has nothing to do with living for Christ. But when you choose to live for Him, that’s where blessings and rewards come in. I’m Dr.

England Strem and we’re going to go to break but we’ll be coming right back to do the second half of Bibleline. So keep your radio dial tuned right where it is and we’ll be back in just a moment to do the second half of Bibleline. So stay tuned. Keep your radio dial tuned right here. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. It’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr. England’s Truman. It’s great to be with you again today and this weekend.

We’re excited about bringing Bibleline to you and I want to thank all of you who are loyal listeners. We meet people all the time that say they listen every day and have learned so much. We’re just really humbled by all of that and to see how God has used Bibleline to bless you the listeners. And by the way, I want to thank all of you listeners for being the partners that you are that keep us on the air because we are definitely listeners supported.

And without your help, without your prayers, without your gifts to Bible, we could not be on the air. I don’t get paid to be on the radio. Notice my staff. We volunteer ourselves and we’ve put everything into this show so that we can reach out to as many people as possible until Jesus comes back for us. And so if you’d like to be a part of that, you can send a gift to Bible and by mail. You can also give a gift by credit card over the phone.

If you call our operators, they’ll be glad to recite the address to you or they’ll be glad to send you an envelope with our address on it. But if not, you can just use your credit card and give a gift directly right over the phone. you can do that on our online bookstore on our website. I hope you’ve gone to our website. Usually if I take somebody just for a couple of seconds and show them how easy it is, they’re hooked and they want to do this all the time.

Because all you have to do is go to Bible Line Ministries.org or dot com. Click on that little TV set in the upper right hand corner of the homepage and right in front of you will be a page that on the left side says click here for Bible and television on the right side it’ll say click here for Bible and radio it’s that easy and then you’ll be watching Bible and television or listening to Bible and radio and you can go back to that page at the bottom of the page it says archives for television and for radio and you can catch the past programs and watch them until you’re contented not exciting and you can also of course order cd’s or dvds of our radio or our television programs just give our prayers are called the senior resource list or you can look at

the resources and read descriptions on online online bookstore on the website we’re going to be able on part two maybe your station isn’t carrying the second half some stations are carrying the second half and if that be the case then you can go to the internet and hear the full program as we’re streaming right now live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida, the Calvary Community Church where I am the pastor. Keep your radio dial tuned right where it is, lock it in, don’t move because we’re ready to do the second half of Bibleline.

Are you ready? Get your Bible open and here we go. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. We’re on the pastor and we look forward to being with you every day as we bring this program to you.

Live we go from here directly by digital phone lines to Detroit and then Detroit they send us up to the satellite which is orbiting the planet Earth over the equator at 22,000 miles up and then that satellite takes the signal and sends it back down to the Earth and our radio stations across America pull it down off of the satellite and also our internet streaming comes directly off that satellite signal. So we were in the space age, no doubt about it, and we’re living in a time of high tech where in olden days of radio you had to make cassette copies and mail them out to the station each week for that week’s shows.

They would mail them back and he’d send more tapes and it was, and before that it was real to real. But now, wow, we don’t have to do any of that shipping of tapes back and forth. We just go live right off of the satellite and that’s what you’re hearing right now. If you’re listening to this radio show at this moment, this program has really gone up 22,000 miles above the Earth to a satellite and has come back down.

All of this costs many and of course we thank God for all of you who listen, who support the program because without your gifts we wouldn’t be able to do this. I don’t get paid. Our staff doesn’t get paid. We don’t have subscribers or pledges. We don’t have a piggy bank. We don’t have a reserve account. We just trust God every week. Lord, we need you to keep this program on the air. I don’t know how to explain it.

It’s just God answering your prayers and also you the listener who’s send your gift that keeps us going here. We’re not trying to get your money. We really aren’t. Some organizations I think are trying to get your money, but we’re not trying to get your money. We want to get the gospel out. If you want to help partner with us to do that, then that’s wonderful. I think God will richly reward you with whatever fruit that this program bears in the lives of people.

We have people getting saved all the time. People tell us that they’re growing, learning more than 30 days on Bibleline than they were in 30 years in their church. And we’re just excited about those that are choosing to go into ministry and all kinds of things that are happening. And that’s just so exciting. We appreciate all of you listeners and want to say God bless you and thank you. And we’re going to now go ahead and go back to the phone lines and take our callers.

But I just wanted to say that we do need your help and we thank you in advance for your gifts. We have a first time caller Daniel been waiting patiently now from Clearwater, Florida and Daniel, you’re up on the air. Oh, hello. How’s your Hank? Yes, sir. It’s my opinion that Islam is just a communistic religion. In that Lenin, he just decided to lose the religion if you follow me. Because in the Islamic world, there’s no such thing as a person that doesn’t tie your opinion on that.

In Islam, you’re just a slave and you have to conform or you’re possibly dead because it’s one that rules by force and by violence. I believe the Pope really had a good quote there. Obviously, he tells that Mohammed from the very get-go spread his faith by the sword. If you didn’t become Islam, they’d get your head off. And that’s just the way it’s always been. And it’s a very oppressive religion. Women are oppressed, their enemies are oppressed, and their own people are oppressed.

There’s just, it’s a no win win win at all. And then unfortunately, they’re blinded to the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and will be forever lost in hell. My heart goes out to people in Islam. I’ve led people from Islam to Christ, but they’re very difficult to lead to Christ because they are controlled people and they are controlled by fear. They obviously are exactly in Satan’s trap. The Bible tells us in Hebrew chapter 2 that Satan uses fear to keep the unsaved lost and keep them in that fear until they die and never come to know the truth.

My heart goes out to the people that are prisoners of Islam. But yet, if a person wants to know the truth, they will find it. I was sitting on an airplane flying from Israel to Rome and the young lady next to turned out to be A young lady who worked for Erefat. And she was a believer. And we had a wonderful time of fellowship. But she said that she could never reveal that to anybody. And she felt safe telling me, but she couldn’t tell that in Israel.

Because in her town, if they found out, physical harm could come to her and her whole family. They live with the threat of death or injury if they would convert to become a believer. too bad and unfortunate and I’m so glad that we are free here to preach the gospel in America. But in other countries, you’re not allowed to. I was in Turkey and I was witnessing in my guide, said, witness all you want, but don’t give them any of your literature because then they have hard evidence and should they decide to turn you in, you’ll be in jail.

You’ll be in Turkish jail and you may never come out alive because they’re not sanitary and not like the air conditioned luxury hotel prisons we have in america but uh… in any case that was a wake up for me i said whoa uh… because i i i love to talk to people about the lord and here my guide said you better warn your whole group because if they give out your literature with your name on it you’re gonna probably wind up in a jail over here so there’s a lot of uh…

uh… suppression in Muslim countries and their 96% Muslim in Turkey. And I learned that lesson real quick. Thank you Daniel for calling in. I appreciate it. We have Carter in Gulfport and Carter. Welcome to Bibleline. I’m Daniel over here. Turn your radio down, Carter. I can hear it in the background. But Carter, welcome to Bibleline. And I learned that lesson. Yeah. Thank you. You have to turn your radio down, Carter, because it’s i was just going waiting up with the list of the yes sir there we go there you’re on there i’m right here what is the question is the doctor lintzer it is uh…

you don’t sound the same on the radio it’s a little bit phone anyway alright appreciate your program i listened to it all the time and we want the main one is uh… but has been taken off of the seat uh… christian broadcasting that word he’s been taken off of the t b and the uh… paul and jane network i think and they also uh… took off how Lindsey and they’d and the reasoning was because they were to pro-israel and not enough pro-calistinian and that’s why they took them off jane and paul are uh…

are i think uh… really far off on many doctrines and certainly they are pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel. That is concerning Zola Levitt and now… How Lindsay, both were ripped off of that network because of their views where they seem to be pro-Israel, which of course, as a believer in the Bible, we owe a great deal of our Christian heritage to the Jewish people. They’re the ones who bought us the Messiah. Jesus was a Jew. You can’t escape that. Absolutely. And for those that revere Mary, Mary was a Jew.

I think some Catholics don’t realize that Christ was a Jew and that Mary was a Jew. I would just really concern in that from what I understand Dr. Lindstrom that, and I hope that I’m missing from, but the Methodist and the Presbyterian Church has withdrawn all of the funds that have anything to do. What are you asking me to do with stocks or bonds or whatever? Anything to do with the state of Israel. Well, you’re absolutely right. And it’s because of their position, which really came out of Catholicism, that God is all through with Israel.

began with Augustine in the 5th century and they just never saw any future for Israel and said that the church replaced Israel. Let’s call it replacement theology. The replacement is that the church replaced Israel which is not true. If you read Jeremiah 31, God says as long as that sun comes up in the morning and you can see the moon at night, God is not through with Israel. So last I looked, the sun came up this morning. So God is not through with Israel, read Jeremiah 31.

That’s a great passage to pass along to your friends. I certainly like well and I appreciate it and you were just talking to a lady who brought up the fact that the sides of the North. I’ve heard this on different television programs, but that is, you know, I believe it was Perry Stone that made the comment that, you know, he elaborated in depth on the sides of the North and where a lot of the stars, you know, it seems that that part of the universe there’s a lot of, you know, it’s practically amply considering the fact that East West and South, there’s plenty of stars but on the sides of the North there isn’t and I started thinking and I started looking through the Bible, kind of researching it and it was I don’t know whether I the Holy Spirit revealed this to me or what but

I have it it’s just it maybe sounds far out but let me run a pasture very quickly. If we are going to be a little higher than the angels in heaven because of what we’ve gone through here on earth and the sides of the north are practically pretty sparse. Perhaps we will, the Christians that have gone through this short time down here on earth, the angels that fell from heaven with Lucifer. Perhaps maybe that’s God’s way of replacing his real estate which is Earth.

Maybe that’s how he’s going to replace the angel to fell as with the people that have embraced him here on Earth. Does that make any sense? Well, that’s an interesting theory, but you know, we’re not replacing angels. In fact, we’ll never be an angel, and the Bible says we were created lower than angels, but positionally we are made higher than angels because we are actually called God’s sons. In 1 John chapter 3 it says, Beloved, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God?

Incredible thought the thing that God would call us his sons and his daughters when we become born again Carter when we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior We become born again in the God’s family and the Bible says that we are called Then the sons of God we become his sons and daughters but the New Jerusalem which is the heavenly city that God resides in is going to leave that place in the north and come down and I believe orbit the new heavens and new earth that God will create after the thousand year reign of Christ.

So one day that’s where we’re going to live. That will be our home and that new Jerusalem will come down as John sees it happening there in chapter 21 verse 1 of Revelation. He says that the first heaven and the first earth were passed away and then he saw new heavens and a new earth and he saw the new Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven and so that will be the place where we live. Nearly the entire 21st chapter of Revelation describes this beautiful city and its street of gold and how it is apparently a city that will sparkle like a diamond with foundations made of every precious stone you might imagine.

It’s going to be an exciting day when we get to go there, but we’re not really replacing them. The fallen angels are going to be cast into the eternal lake of fire with Satan. That happens in Revelation 20 verse 10, right after the thousand year reign of Christ. The other angels of course will continue to be with the Lord forever and they will minister to us. In Hebrews 1.13 it says God’s angels are ministering spirits to us who are the heirs of salvation.

So they will minister to us and wait upon us. serve us in heaven. But the fallen angels will be in hell forever and we are definitely not a replacement. But interesting thought and I sure do thank you for listening and for calling in today Carter and we’re now going to go to Vinny in Hudson Florida. Vinny welcome to Bibleline good morning Hank. How was the baptism yesterday? Wonderful and the water is still warm. Yeah, if you keep on doing this, it’s way…

as we approach the fall here is going to get colder. But at least the alligator got me. I’m glad I came out of the lake alive. Amen. Okay. I have a quick summary and then a question. Another ministry that I support, and it’s a wonderful outreach. It’s called CJF Christians for Dew Foundation. The, one of the fellows on there made a fascinating analogy and I want to get your thoughts on it. But he likened Noah’s arc to the Trinity because it had three levels representing the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the way in which represented the one way to Christ, to salvation.

And one window at the top pointing towards heaven that we should be looking up. What do you think about that? It’s great and I think there are many beautiful types in the Old Testament I don’t like to go too far with those things because you can go astray as long as the typology and your and your you know your Connection to that Agrees with all revealed scripture. You’re okay, and that would be true here and that’s that’s great. I think I like it me too now my question In Isaiah 64-6, when God tells Isaiah that all our righteous deeds are his filthy rags.

In the text, the original text, the filthy rags, what does that represent? I mean, God couldn’t have just said all your righteous deeds are worthless, they’re nothing. They’ll use the filthy rags as emphasis for something. I think we have an adult audience listening, but if you look up that word, it means minstrel rags. Oh, really? Yeah. So it’s revolting. Our righteous deeds will have no merit toward getting us into heaven, and it would be revolting as if you piled up a pile of minstrel rags in front of somebody, and how would you take to that?

You would be offended and revolted by it. Right. And that’s what God says about our works. your emphasis on it. Wow. Okay, great. Well, all right. Keep up the good work and I’m going to sign up for that. That’s the first time I’ve ever revealed that on radio better. Wow. I don’t do it in children that have children around, but that’s what it’s all about. Wow, great. Okay. I’m signing up tomorrow night. Beautiful. That’s great. I’m going to do it on the internet.

Okay. All right. Anyway, that was Vinny in Hudson, This is Bibleline. I’m Dr. England. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. Since he mentioned the classes, we are going to begin tomorrow night, Tuesday night, the 19th of September at 7 o’clock. From 7 to 9, for 5 Tuesday’s, we’ll do 10 weeks on meeting the challenge. We’ll be pointing out what the Bible says the challenge is for us as believers to accomplish. and what if we do and what if we don’t and how to do it and how to be successful at it and we’ll have a great time for 10 hours of teaching.

You can sign up and take the classes over the internet. They will give you a password so you’ll be able to watch the classes live on your internet every Tuesday night. And if you are living anywhere in the world you can do that. But if you’re driving this, there’s nothing like sitting in the classroom, having people elbow to elbow with you and enjoying the excitement that’s generated just by people being together studying God’s Word. And I would love to have you in my class tomorrow evening.

I’m Dr. Englundstrom and this is Bibleline. And our phone number is 1-800-576-3771. We have Anonymous in Tarpon Springs. Then this person calls in and asks, did King Solomon go to heaven or hell? And the answer is we believe he was a believer in Jesus and he was obviously a writer. A number of things in the book of in the Bible, the Song of Solomon and also most of the Proverbs were written by Solomon Ecclesiastes was his and so definitely I think Solomon is going to be right there in heaven and we’ll get to talk to him one day.

That’s exciting. We have William in Tampa, Florida on the line and William welcome to Bibleline Europe on the air. Yes, Dr. Linsen, my wonder could you respond a little bit more with the caller’s last question regarding the filthy rag being woman’s menstrual cycle? Could you say just where that’s in the Bible? That’s Isaiah 64-6. Isaiah 64-6? Yeah, and Isaiah says we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. And it obviously lets us know that we really have nothing to bring or to offer God.

That’s why I love that hymn. Just as I am, I come without one plea, without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me. I have nothing I can hold out and say, God, look at what I did. Look at how deserving I am. You should let me into your heaven. God says, no, you have nothing to offer me. I love you and I’m offering you salvation through the death of my son and shed blood. And what a beautiful story the gospel is of his love toward us.

And it’s not what we do for God that saved us. It’s what God did for us at the cross through Christ that brings about our salvation. Well, thank you for the call. And thank you very much. You’re welcome. And that was Isaiah 64, 6. I think that verse just took on new meaning for a lot of people today because you know so many churches are works based and they teach that you have to work your way to heaven and when you really get the full brunt of that Isaiah 64, 6 verse you see that there is nothing that you can do.

You know it doesn’t say our sins are filthy rags. It says our righteousness says are as filthy rags which means the righteous things that You do the fact that you go to church and that you’re living the Christian life, but those things won’t save you That’s why Christ died in his blood Sheddick Calvary is the only means by which your sins can be washed away. I love the hymn where the hymrighter wrote What can wash away my sin? He says nothing but the blood nothing but the blood we have Robin in Richmond, Virginia Robin.

Welcome to Bibleline. I knew you are on the air Yes, I’ve been divorced since 1993 and I want to get married again. Can I get married again? Well, I imagine you can. Did you get a divorce based on the fact that your husband created that I had adultery? Yes. You’re unrecable with the sooner they did. Yeah, you’re free to get remarried and rather But you should find a believer if you’re a believer in Christ the Bible says that you’re to marry in the Lord That means that you need to find another believer You don’t want to become unequally yoked to an unbeliever.

So find a believer and And if he loves you and you love him and you want to get married. That’ll be perfectly legitimate Okay, God bless you and I wish you well. Alright, we’re coming right up here on the end of the program. Come a little bit early if you can and get registered and we’ll get up and running and I think we’ll have a great time called meeting the challenge.
