Bibleline Radio Show – 2007-02-08 – Revelation 3:5

And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book (Exodus 32:31-33).” Remember, according to Revelation 3:5, if you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, he will not blot your name out. What is the sin that can cause your name to be blotted out? It is unbelief. It is the rejection of Jesus Christ as Saviour. This is the unpardonable sin. (See John 3:36, I John 5:12).

This series is a great one. We’re having a lot of fun, and if you live in the Tampa Bay area, please come by and get in the classroom with us and enjoy this series. Jesus is coming. We’re going to talk about the Bible for a little bit, and then we’re going to take our callers. We have lots of all-fear questions. We’ll try to catch as many of those as we possibly can. And we certainly hope that you’ll take advantage of our resource center here at Bibleline where we have books and Bibles.

And we have the old Scofield Bible. We had somebody come by yesterday and said they went to the bookstore, which I had recommended against because if you’re going to get the Scofield, they probably don’t carry the old and sure enough he said that he bought the wrong Bible. So you want to get the old and we have that here in soft cover, hard cover, leather, zipper, leather and large print and plus concordances, some wonderful study tools. We have the Jameson Faucet Brown 3-volume commentary that I recommend so highly.

And I believe that if you’re going to get one, you ought to get one soon. I don’t think they’re going to be around. I think they’re going out of print. And we have a few left, but I’m afraid that we may have difficulty getting them in the future. They retail for about 140. We have it for a gift of 90 to Bibleline, plus many other wonderful resources. Gospel tracks that really work that actually lead people to Christ. We have the greatest book on evangelism I believe ever written, the one-on-one handbook to personal evangelism telling you what to say, how to open up mouth, what to say when mouth is open, how to close your mouth, and actually lead that person to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

We are living in the last days, there is no doubt about that, you can see it in the headlines every day. We’re becoming more godless, more lawless, and the Bible describes the tribulation period exactly as that. Once the rapture happens, the world will be plunged into some very troublesome times. Jesus said it would be again as it was in the days of Noah. If you You read Genesis 611, it tells us The Bible was filled with violence, and today certainly we’re living in a violent world.

And it’s kind of scary that it’s not getting better. It only looks like it’s going to get worse, and that’s what the Bible says. It’s going to get worse, and then Jesus will come back seven years after the Rapture and bring peace on earth. He’ll bring a solution by defeating the armies of the world and actually taking over control of the planet earth and he will rule as king of kings and lord of lords. Zechariah 14, 9 says, and there shall be one king in that day, and he will be king over all the earth.

That is Jesus. This is exciting stuff. In Amos I want to read this verse. It says in verse 11 of chapter 8 of Amos in the Old Testament, it says, Behold the days come, and I believe it has already arrived. Behold the days come, sayeth the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. I think we have arrived there. This is a day when they want to take away the word of God.

I just saw in today’s paper that in Cross City, Florida, right there on the side of the road as you go through downtown, they have two great big tablets of the Ten Commandments inscribed in granite. And they didn’t have it up long in the UCLU. It comes up in, and of course a spile suit to get them removed. And the people there in that community wanted there. And yet they’re going to probably have to take it down. It’s too bad that the word of God is being stripped, taken from us, and removed from our society.

It’s been removed from the schools, removed from the courthouse, removed from our government. We are becoming more godless as every day goes by. That’s why you ought to treasure your Bible and treasure the freedoms we still have to proclaim this message. We ought to be leading as many people to Christ as we can. Make sure your family is saved. I know when I got saved I was 18 and it was through my sister inviting me to a Bible study in our neighborhood and the two of us us, ganged up on my brother and my other sister, and we got them saved.

And in the four of us ganged up on mom and dad, and we got them saved. And then our whole family ganged up on all the relatives, and we got many of them saved. And what a wonderful thing it was to see the gospel go forth through our family. And we really worked as a tight-knit unit to try to win as many people to Christ as we could. really all had the same purpose and that was That was a thrill for me.

I was 18 when I trusted Christ, but our family came together. And I remember myself deciding that something had to happen because we had been church members and active in church, but none of us were saved. And we just basically attended and were active in whatever functions the church had. But I realized that we needed to get into the Bible. I’ll never forget one evening we were sitting at the dinner table. My mom, my dad, my two sisters, my brother, I was the oldest.

And I announced to the family. I said, after supper is over, I’m going to have a Bible study in the living room. Everybody here is invited. I think I shocked my family. Well, I didn’t know if anybody would come in there, but you know, I sat down with my Bible after dinner, after the dishes were done. And sure enough, all of them came in. And I had my mom and my dad and my brother and my two sisters, and they listened as I shared a little bit that I do about the Bible at that time.

I said, somebody has to step up to the plate. Somebody has to take charge here. Somebody has to talk about the Bible and about Christ. And you know, it was a wonderful experience to see our family really united around this wonderful gospel message the lost. I remember my mom opening up our home down in Miami to teenagers as we had a Bible study once a week that I would conduct and we had the house filled with kids, filled with teenagers.

I really have to say my hat was off to my mom who obviously allowed that to happen and had a lot of the cleanup to do after it was all over. But you know we We let many, many kids to Christ. I’ll remember my little sister eight years younger than I, and she invited a lot of friends. She just seemed to fill that place up all by herself and my older sister at that time. He was bringing her friends from high school and my brother.

We really worked as a team. We had 40, 50, 60 kids crammed into our house and hearing the Bible taught. Several of those became preachers. We still are in contact with some of them. Out of that little Bible study in our home not only got saved but went on to serve the Lord and become pastors and teachers of the Scriptures themselves. And that was just some wonderful experiences at the very beginning days of my coming to know Christ as Savior.

We as believers need to be doing that. We had a fellow come by yesterday who was formerly of the Islamic faith. And he said, I just wanted to come by and meet the man that has changed my life. life. And of course it was really Christ that he was talking about how Bibleline has really revolutionized his life and he came by to get tracks and he said be able to preach like we do here at Bibleline to be able to expound the Word of God.

We were just always encouraged when somebody comes by and we hear how God is using Bibleline to really impact lives not only with the gospel and they get saved but also that they want to take this message to other places and to other people and make sure others hear this great news about eternal life. I’m going to have you turn with me to John chapter 3 in verse 18 where Jesus said, He that believeth on Christ is not condemned, but He that believeth not is condemned already because He hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

What a great verse. Jesus here divides the whole world into two groups, not Catholics and Baptists and Methodists and Lutherans and Presbyterians and so on and so on. But it divides it into two groups, those that believe on Christ and those that do not believe on Christ or trust Christ. And the difference is heaven and hell. It says here, Jesus says, he the believer or would trust on Christ is not condemned. And that’s an attendance in the Greek that means not at the moment they believe, nor ever in the future thereafter.

And also he says he to believe that not is condemned already. The unsaved person doesn’t have to wait until they die to be condemned. They’re already living in a condemned state. And that is because all of us are sinners and all of us have broken God’s law and therefore were already condemned by the law but it says they are condemned in the last phrase because they do not believe on the name of the only begotten Son of God. When you reject Christ that is the unpardonable sin.

If you die without Christ that is the only sin that could cause you to go to hell. And if you die without Christ according to the Bible that is where you will spend eternity. In the eternal lake of fire you don’t want to go there, and you don’t have to. Guess what? Christ has died to pay for your sins, and the gift of eternal life is offered to you. If you would only change your mind and largeDownload Jesus Christ as your Savior, as the one who died to pay for your sins, God will forgive you, and Jesus said you would not be condemned.

Here in verse 36 of John 3 it says, He the belief on the sun has present tense everlasting life. He the belief not that’s the other group on the sun. No, not sea life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. Don’t be in that second group the one that does not believe because my friend you will be separated from God forever. I don’t care if you’re a church member. I don’t care if you are a good person in the eyes of the world.

I don’t care if you’re a good citizen, a good parent. If you don’t trust Christ, the Bible says you are already living right now in a condemned condition. And if you die without Christ, you will have committed the unpardonable sin and wind up into hell. But you can turn that around as long as you’re still breathing, you can change your mind and you can trust Christ as your Savior and receive the wonderful gift of eternal life. I’m Dr. Engman from this is my online.

We’re going to Adam and Adam is in Tampa, Forte, calling in and welcome to Bibleline. My question goes from John chapter 4 verse 23 and 24 where it talks about we worship the Father and Spirit. My question is, in 24 it says, God is Spirit and King James just says, God is a spirit. Why does it say God is a spirit? Well… Well, I don’t think there’s much of a distinction there. The God cannot be seen because he is a spirit, but God chose to reveal himself by taking on human flesh and becoming one of us and that’s who Jesus Christ is.

But in the Old Testament times and right up until Christ died and until Pentecost, believers had to go to a specific place to worship the Lord. In the wilderness they went to the tabernacle where God’s presence was known and then later when Solomon built a house for God, the temple in Jerusalem, God’s presence was there and people had to come up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord. But now since Pentecost, our bodies become God’s temple and the Holy Spirit comes and it dwells in our body so that we can worship him right within our bodies which are his temple.

Our Spirit and God’s Holy Spirit both reside in the same body and he can fellowship with us and commune with us and speak to us as we read the Bible. He is the author of Scripture and the Bible tells us the Holy Spirit witnesses to us, makes this book living when we read it and he talks to us out of the Scripture. So wonderful experience for the believer. But we can now worship in spirit and truth wherever we mightDIT.

I don’t have to travel to Israel and to the ancient Jewish temple, which by the way does not exist right now, to worship God. But if you lived up until Pentecost, that’s where you would go to worship the Lord. I hope that helps a little bit. Is that no difference really to you, that a spirit is there? I don’t know where you’re going. And they said what? These spirits? Yeah, it says it got his spirit, got a spirit. I don’t see a major problem there at all.

In fact, I don’t really see a problem at all. God is a spirit. And you could say He is the spirit because He is the spirit that’s separate from all other spirits. Every one of us are body, soul and spirit. So each individual human being has a spirit. But the spirit is God Himself, the Holy Spirit. And so I don’t see that it makes a big difference if you read other verses were clear that that spirit we’re talking about here is got himself.

Okay one more question please. Okay. The new King James, can you tell me what the difference is between the new King James and the king James? Well I think they’ve missed with the Bible. They have we have a whole sheet here we’d be glad to send out to you or you can download it off my window and that’s fine. But it they changed the plan of salvation and in Matthew 7 instead of saying that it’s narrow to go to heaven that Christ narrow is the way Christ is the way and He’s the exclusive way and it’s narrow they make it it’s hard hard is the way which is a whole different concept that means salvation is by works and other verses that they have changed this sheet just shows you lots of different changes I wish they hadn’t have done that I wish they had

It just changed the these and the owls into modern English and left the text alone, but they apparently tampered in many, many places. And we lost that call. And so, Adam, I hope that helps. Thank you very much. Off the air, Helen in Tampa calls in and she says, is the Third Temple built or at least in construction? And the answer is no, it is not built, but the stones have been cut and they’re still, I think, cuttings and stones.

it’ll go up I think in a heartbeat it’s basically a very small building. It’s probably only about 60 feet long and about 20 feet wide. So it’s not very big. It fits on the Temple Mount platform, which is 35 acres there in Jerusalem. But the temple itself is actually very small. And it can’t be replaced on the Temple Mount until the government of Israel makes that decision. And right now, of course, the obstacle is there are two air mosques on top of the temple.

the Temple Mount. But I don’t believe that when the decision is made that will be an obstacle. I think the Temple will be built north of the two mosques. If you draw a line from the Eastern Gate, that gate when you would enter would take you directly straight ahead at the Temple. And if you draw a line straight across from that gate, you’ll find the area there is open north of the the Dome of the Rock and the Dome of the Rock is north of the Alaksa Mosque.

So I think it will be built there. And apparently Ezekiel says that because the mosques profane the Temple Mount, that there will be a wall of separation built to separate the new Temple from the Arab mosques that desecrate the Temple Mount. I’ll read this from Ezekiel 42 verse 20 where it says he measured it by the four sides. It had a wall round about 500 reads long, 500 reads broad to make a separation between the sanctuary. That’s the third temple and the profane place.

And then we read on in the next chapter how the Christ will come back to that third temple and fill that temple with his glory. Helen, thank you for calling, I hope that helps. And the third temple is ready to be built, the stones have been cut, and we had Gershahn Solomon here last year, who has tried to lay the cornerstone on numerous occasions, but so far they’re not able to do that because they need to get the government to make that decision.

We have Jim, I mean Maria, in Clearwater. She says, if a person is a believer but commits adultery, will they go to heaven based on 1 Corinthians 6-9? And the answer is yes. If you just read on Maria to verse 11, it says, and such were some of you. At least the whole list there of sins, any of which would take a lost person. But when you trust Christ, it says, and such were some of you, but you are washed, you are sanctified, you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

So if you don’t have Christ, then indeed adultery or even telling a lie would cause you to go to hell. But thank God Christ has died to pay for all of your sins, past, present and future, and And according to verse 11, which most people don’t ever get that far to read, verse 11, it says, and such were some of you. You were condemned because of these different sins. But now, because you’ve trusted Christ, you are washed, you are sanctified, you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

So once you trust Christ, you’re saved and you’re saved forever. Now, there are consequences to our sins, but the believer will never be lost. Christ promises in John 637, Maria, that I will in no wise cast out any. It would come to me. So if you come to Christ and trust Him, He promises He will never cast you out for any reason, no exception. And even better than that, John 639 says that He would not lose anyone that has come to Him, that it is the Father’s will, that He would not lose one.

So you’re being kept saved by Christ and if you were keeping your own salvation, perhaps we’d all lose it. But He keeps us saved and therefore we cannot be lost. We have here a concerned listener in Tampa, Walter, after the break yesterday, was holding for you to explain where would you go if you were to die? Not about Jehovah. I’m very interested in this topic. So apparently I misunderstood the question and so we’re talking about when you die the Bible says you’re absent from the body present with the Lord.

Now that means you would be present where the Lord is now and where is he? He is in heaven. Go. You’ll notice in John 15 we have a pretty good description of that and let me just read this one of the verses. These are often read at a funeral where people are curious about what happens when you die. Jesus said, let lunch your heart be troubled. John 14, you believe in God, believe also in me. In my father’s house are many mansions.

If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go, and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am you may be awesome. We know that all throughout here John says that he came down from heaven and he’s going to go back to heaven. So Christ is in heaven today and when you die you’re absent from the body, President of the Lord.

I certainly hope I did understand your question correctly this time and now I hope you’ve got your answer. Thank you for calling in and helping me out with that. It’s about time for our break. If you haven’t trusted Christ, let me urge you to just say, Lord, I’m a sinner, but I trust Jesus right now as my only hope of heaven and trust that he died and shed his blood as the only means by which you could be saved and he’ll save you.

We’re going to go to break. We’ll come back and do a second half hour of Bible. Bibleline, so keep your radio dial tuned right where it is, and if your station doesn’t carry the second half hour, then go to the internet, catch the full program. We’ll be right back. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Alright, I’m Dr. Englund Striman. This is Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida.

From our studios here at the Calvary Community Church, we’re on the pastor and you’re always welcome to come by and visitrontal resource center or visit a worship service whenever you come into town. If you ever come to Florida and this is probably a good time to come because it’s so cold all across the north but you’re welcome to come down here. We’re having wonderful weather. This has been just a great winter for us and of course the sun shines down here and the temperatures never get really that cold.

But we’d love to have you come. Come see us. If you ever are in the Tampa Bay area, we’re right next to the airport and we’re just the block west of the main north south runway. And so we’re very close to the airport. If you get more than a block away from the airport, you probably are getting yourself lost. Stay close to the airport. We’re on the west side and we’re at 4811 George Road. We want you to know that we have a resource center here that you can come and visit, but also you can visit that on the internet by going to BibleLineMinistries.org.com and there you’ll find all of the resources, pictures of them, descriptions of them, and you can order right off of the internet, including my teachings on CD, on DVD, DVD and we have a lot of series that are very helpful.

We have one called How to Lead Souls to Christ. That was outstanding. When I finished the last hour, the tenth class, on that one, everybody stood up and broke into applause. I don’t think I’ve ever had that happen in a classroom situation like it did that night. those people were so appreciative and felt so empowered that they could go right out and lead someone to Christ. Those teachings are on CD. You can order the series, How to Lead a Soldier Christ, along with 39 other series that are available to you.

Why not take advantage and get some of these and play them in your car, in your home, in Bible study in your study school class and this will help facilitate a particular study. I think you’ll find it very, very helpful. Again, we are listeners supported. If you could help Bibleline and send us a gift, that would be wonderful. You can also give it by credit card over the phone and your partnership with us is absolutely vital. We could not produce this program and continue it on the air without the help of our listeners.

Thank you all of you who give the Bibleline. You are the ones who keep this program on the air. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you in advance. We’re ready to do the second half hour of Bible Ansel. Stay tuned right where you are. Don’t change the line and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break and this is Bibleline.

This is the second half and God bless all of you. We sure do. to look forward to being with you every day. We hear from a lot of you, you tell us, I talked to a lady yesterday and she said she listens every day, every day. She said if she lived closer she would be over here every day. Well it would not be wonderful. In any case we are so glad that we can come into your home, into your car, into your office and we can come to you at any time of day through the internet.

I hope you take advantage of our website Bibleline Ministries that allows us to be able to bring this program to you at whatever time is convenient for you. Isn’t that wonderful? You can have dinner and kind of settle down and when things quiet down a little bit, go to the internet and there you can listen to Bibleline again. Or you can watch a Bibleline television show. Or you can actually, if you subscribe and sign up, you can get the passcode and watch the classes we’re presently teaching, Jesus is coming.

And you can watch it, watch it, watch it, and watch it. And one of the nice features about usually the internet presentation is you can pass forward, you can back it up, you can pause it, and that allows you to have your Bible open and really take time to digest the material that you’re receiving. We are Lister is supported. We definitely need your help financially. We are dependent upon our listeners and so we could use your help. I don’t get a salary.

Our staff doesn’t. We really are very lean and mean as far as getting the most value for our dollars because they pretty much just go for radio time and for the satellite time and for the equipment costs and all the other things that are involved. And we have a pretty hefty phone bill every month, because all of the 800 calls cost us. And so all of those are expenses that are met through our generous listeners who give to Bibleline.

You can do that by phone. You can call and give a gift by credit card. That would really help us. And if you haven’t given this year or this month, would you consider helping out Bibleline and investing in eternity because I believe that whatever you do for God is a wise investor that you’re going to get a wonderful return in heaven. The Bible promises in Matthew 19 a 10,000% return on your investment. Well that was exciting for me to discover in the Bible.

I said, wow, I don’t know of any place where you can get that kind of return. The neat thing is that it’s forever. It’s not just for this life which will expire rather shortly, but it’s forever and ever and ever. So why not make a wise investment? We believe Bible and would be a great choice. You can help us continue to be on the air in your area and also you can help us expand out to the world. We’re hoping to be able to reach more and more people and and we know time is running out Jesus has got to be coming have you read the headlines lately how this world is a troubled world And it’s exactly as Jesus describes it 2000 years ago.

He said nations would be in trouble without solution in perplexity and we see it and we see the weather changes that are happening on our planet. As the Bible says that the sea and the waves would be roaring and we see the signs in the heavens as we have people living in space in a space station and we’re exploring out there in outer space. Christ spoke about all these things and he says, when these things begin to come to pass, Luke 21, 28, read it for yourself, when these things begin to come to pass.

Then look up, lift up your heads. Your redemption draws nigh. So we truly are living in a most exciting time. I sure do thank you for listening and I thank you for your prayers and I thank you for your gifts to Bible and your partnership as listeners with us here at Bible and Headquarters is absolutely a bond that we couldn’t survive without. You are truly in a real partnership with us and we thank you in advance for your prayers and for your gifts for Bible Island.

We have Benjamin in Clearwater, Florida, waiting on the line. Benjamin, welcome to Bible Island, you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Hank. Good morning. God bless you. I have two questions for you today, please. The first one is in the millennium Bye. the people live in the nation. When Jesus came, those people, they’re going to live with Israel, or they’re going to stay in the nation. The second one is, how the earth and the heaven going to pass by fire?

And what happened with the people live in the earth time, how are they going to pass by fire? Okay. Thank you. You’re very welcome Benjamin. And of course the answer is that during the millennium God is going to gather all the Jewish people back into Israel. And by the way they’ll have a lot more land. They’re going to possess everything from the Euphrates River that runs down through Iraq all the way down to the Nile River down in Egypt.

So that’s the original boundaries that God gave to Abraham, which they never fully experienced. But in the last days we know that when Christ comes back he will destroy all unbelievers. And we find that all of those of the Muslim faith obviously clearly reject Jesus. And unless they get saved by the end of the seven years of tribulation they will all be killed by Christ when he comes back. not only they, but all unbelievers all over the earth and all that land, the Bible says their gain will then become the Lords and Israel will become the richest nation on the earth because of the oil that will be Israel’s when she controls all the Terry territory from Iraq to Egypt.

So we’re living in exciting days when we’re actually able to see, I think, the handwriting on the wall and the nearness of that coming. At the end of the millennium, then God is going to renovate this earth by fire, and obviously all the thing believers would be obviously not affected. I think we’ll be probably removed temporarily, and then you see the new heavens and the new earth, and the new Jerusalem, where all the believers will live. So I’m sure we’ll be transported off the earth when he renovates it by fire and not be affected by the fire.

We have Mike down in Pompano, Florida, and Mike, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hello. Hi, Mike. Yes. Hi, Dr. Linskew. I’m here at Pompano Beach, Florida. Yes, sir. And I’m not getting a hit on the radio program in this area, and I’ve been shrine to the lads on what we could do. We’re still not on the air down in South Florida. We were but we’re not we’re looking for a station and we might have found one but that we will announce it when it happens and and I wish I all I can say is you can call our office from time to time and try to inquire of us or listen just on the internet and you’ll be able to find out that way.

But right now we have not got a station carrying it in South Florida. Okay. We were on down there for several years and for whatever reason they took us off the year. I don’t believe they liked the message of Bible. Okay. Okay. Well I didn’t have a Bible question this morning. I just was concerned about the radio program. Well I I appreciate that and you just keep listening on the internet if you can. You can get it 24 hours a day on the internet at BibleLineMinistries.org.com.

And as soon as we can get on the air down south Florida again, we’ll do that. Okay then. Thank you. Sorry. Thank you Mike. And it was Mike down in Pompano, Florida. And apparently probably a former listener who’s still looking for us to pop up on the air down there. We have Renee in Oldsvar, Florida and Renee, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Hi, Dr. Lynch, come good morning to you. I’d love to lift you up in prayer. I so admire what you do and thank you for the…

The holiness, the righteousness, the truth of your message that you fearfully, well, I’m sorry, without fear preach daily, we need to hear that and again it is a privilege to lift you up to the Lord. I have a question please and it’s kind of a funny one. Probably will make you chuckle a little bit but it’s all based on my Sunday school class and what I’m currently teaching, we’re talking about the Richmond and Lazarus and how he lived in luxury and was dressed in purple linen.

And please correct me if I’m wrong. But you know so much historically too about the Holy Land. Wasn’t it true that back in that day and age, that in order to get purple garments, that they actually had to crush the shells of a certain kind of bug that would release a dye? And that’s how they actually got that purple color, or am I totally off base on that? No, I think you’re absolutely right. They got their colors from, I’m sure different plants, but also from different shells, shellfish or shell, or animals or bugs, whatever you might say.

But I think like in the x16 you have Lydia who was a seller of purple and she made a good living at selling things that were dyed with that. Apparently that dye that came from some kind of a crush. I don’t know what it was. I’ve forgotten but there’s a lot of wonderful history to learn about how they made cloth and how they colored it and so on. But you’re absolutely right. I think you’re absolutely right on target with that.

So if I kind of you know dorkingly tease the kids about this I wouldn’t be an error because there that is a strong Costability that it actually that die came from that type of source. I just wanted to be I mean down to everything that I did. Yeah, I think you’re absolutely right. I think it is the answer Okay, I just thought I you’re the person to ask and I thought I just wanted to verify that alright Thank you, and thank you for allowing me to ask that’s a silly look question Well, that’s fine.

Thank you. God bless you. Thank you. Bye. Bye. All right. There’s a teacher Wanting to be accurate about everything. She says that’s a that’s a great great goal We have Derek in Port Charlotte, Florida And he says I don’t I know we don’t have to confess with our mouth to be saved It’s trusting Christ, but I was asked by someone on Romans 10 9. Could you please help me explain this? Romans 10, 9 says, if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him for the dead, that shall be saved.

I think the confession is explained in verse 10. So you can’t read verse 9 without verse 10 in Romans 10. And there it says with the heart or the mind, the center of your thought processes, you believe and are made righteous. But then it says confession is made unto salvation. So in other words, after we become can say we confess that we are saved by trusting Christ and his death and shed blood at the cross. So confession is really talking about witnessing.

And you see that on both sides of the verse. You see later it talks about how can people believe unless they hear and how shall they hear except somebody be sent and how beautiful are the feet of those that bring the gospel of peace to those that are lost. And so I believe it is clearly talking about once we become saved, we ought to confess with our mouth the message that we believe with our heart by which we were saved.

So verse 10 gets it in order for us. We believe in our made branches. Then we give confession or we witness as a Christian after we become saved. It’s not a condition of salvation. And if you read verse 9 by itself, you might think it were. But verse 10 I think is the answer. I hope that helps Derek down in Port Charlotte, Florida. We have Ken in Sarasota, Florida, and he says, are the people that believe the five points of Calvinism saved?

I certainly hope so. But the problem becomes is that Calvinism teaches you don’t have to believe to be saved. But that if you are chosen, you will believe as a consequence. So there is a little bit of a potential there that you wouldn’t even worry about placing your faith in Christ because that is not something supposedly that you are capable of doing as an unsafe person. They say that a person is when they are unsaved is dead spiritually and that is true, but they They say that dead men…

Can’t hear the gospel. They can’t believe the gospel. And so God does it all for you. And certainly that’s an error Christ says in John 5 25. The hour is coming and now is when the dead speaking speaking about people that are living that are spiritually dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and they that hear receiving that message will live or have eternal life. And so the message of the gospel can penetrate. to the soul of a lost person and bring life to them as they hear it receiving that message.

And so it’s concerning that the potential is there that, well, I don’t have to worry about believing because it’s not something that I’m capable of doing and that God does it all for me. That’s wrong and could leave the possibility that you’re not safe. you’re not safe. I’ve led many Presbyterians to Christ who believe in Calvinism and just as I have from many different denominations. So I think Satan is good about blinding people and throwing curves out there that might think that you are not responsible to believe or trust Christ in order to be same.

That’s the danger. We’ll just have to wait and see. I pray that every person out there that remotely even names the name of Christ would have the good sense to simply trust him and his death and shed blood as the only means of their salvation in order to be saved. We have Jim in Albany, New York, and he says, is wine a better representation than grape juice? How often should we have communion? Well, I think wine is wrong to use.

If you read the Gospels, never is the word wine ever used in connection with the Lord’s Supper. I believe the reason why is because it destroys the picture that God is giving to us in the Lord’s Supper. If you read the Gospels carefully, it talks about the fresh fruit of the vine. Apparently the grape juice fresh from the grape. Now to have wine, the grape juice has to go through a corruptive process called fermentation. The Bible tells us that Christ blood is not corruptible.

It’s incorruptible blood. So wine destroys that picture of the sinless, incorruptible blood of Jesus that the Bible describes. Also, the bread was to be unleavened bread. Leaven is a symbol of sin or evil, and the fact that it’s unleavened bread speaks about the sinless body of Christ. The Great Jews, not wine, symbolizes the sinless, incorruptible blood of Jesus. Over in 1 Peter 1, 19 it says that by the precious blood of Christ we are redeemed. And as of a lamb without, blemish and without spot, Christ was sinless and I think both elements the bread unleaven and the Great Jews not wine give us the picture of a sinless Christ.

I think those who use wine are wrong and I think they destroy the picture that God intended for us to have and it makes the picture that Christ’s blood was corrupted. It went through the corrupted process if you get wine. You can’t do it except to have grape juice go through that fermentation process. Thank you Jim and Albany New York and the communion service we have we never use wine. We believe it destroys the picture that God would have for us.

We have Richard in Tampa, Florida, calling in and leaving an offer question. He says, what are your thoughts on the event coming up in March here in Tampa? His teaching, the Louis Palau crusade, says you must commit your life to Jesus when he talks about salvation. Well, you know, it’s interesting, but the message is going to be wrong. And so therefore I really recommend that you search it out for yourself. I don’t believe we are to support a wrong message and the message there is going to be a wrong one.

And thank you Richard for that question. We have to stand for the truth and to commit your life to Christ is works. The focus in that phrase is your life and it’s a promise of how you’re going to live your life in order to get you to heaven that’s works and salvation is by trusting. And I seldom hear anybody today anymore focus in on trusting in the death and shed blood of Christ as the means of salvation. You see the gospel is the death and the burial and resurrection of Christ.

And we have to trust in what Christ finished for us at the cross. It never points to our life and our future and what we’re going to do or not going to do. The Bible tells us that salvation was purchased and Christ on the cross said it is finished. When he was still on the cross, he finished the work of salvation. There’s nothing for us to do, but receive that salvation, which comes by faith. Thank you so much for your question.

Robert in Utica, New York calls in and leaves this offer a question. I’m a sudden Baptist Support the 700 Club. I prayed to the Lord that I give my money To support the 700 Club. I want to know How to convince my cousin God’s word is in the Bible my cousin as a Catholic Okay, well It seems like we have some confusion there if you’re a sudden Baptist that is if they are true to what they say they believe, believe you are eternally secure, that you are saved forever oncegnu trust Christ, which is doctrinally sound.

The 700th club believes you can lose your salvation. And so that’s not apples for apples. So I think you need to take a fresh look at what you believe and those that you are supporting. So your cousin needs to be shown some of the great verses in the Bible that demonstrate the Bible’s the Word of God. I like some of the simple scientific facts. In Job 26, 7, 37, 3500 years ago the Bible says that the earth is suspended in space upon nothing.

It also tells us about a void in the north where there are no stars which has been recently discovered by the telescope out in Mount Palomar, California. VERTISEMENT The fact that the earth is round in Isaiah 40, 22. It speaks there of the earth being a circle or a sphere, and the Bible teaches the earth is round long before Columbus ever came along. In other passages we have scientific facts like Jeremiah 10, 12 tells us that God created the universe out of His energy.

That’s the concept that Einstein came along with, but Einstein was about 3000 years late. Jeremiah tells us that God created the universe out of his energy 3000 years before Einstein ever comes along. And I have a sheet that you can download it off of my internet site of 40 of my favorite scientific facts in the Bible that just in the area of science, the Bible’s accuracy telling us things that today we know our fact that they didn’t know when the Bible was written uh…

proves to me that this book has to be written by god we have no in uh… clear water florida and all welcome to bible the goal is doctor lintstrom good morning time I am concerned about my question is what about the words of jesus where he said in matthew chapter twenty five I was hungry and you gave me no meat, I was thirsty, gave me no drink. And then it’s a Lord, when did we saw you do this? And did not respond.

And he said you are cursing, there are laughs in fire for the devil and his angel. So could you explain that also along with the story of the five whites version under five foolish ones? Yes sir. I’m going to hand off because I’m driving and listening. All right. Thank you, Noel. The answer in Matthew 25, the judgment of the nations beginning in verse 31, is that they are already separated as the being saved and lost. The sheep on his right hand, the goats on his left hand, and you become a sheep by birth.

By nature sheep do certain things differently than goats do by birth, by nature. So we have the sheep. They are noticed having compassion upon the brethren of Christ that are in prison, whereas the goats have no compassion on them. It has nothing to do with whether they are a sheep or a goat, but it is the natural consequence of their nature. Here is what I believe is going on. It talks about the sheep and the goats and in another group called my brethren.

I believe that my brethren are the 144,000 Jewish witnesses, Jewish brothers to Christ, that will be witnessing during the Tribulation period. They are the ones that bring about all the evangelism and the sheep all become sheep by believing their message. The goats reject their message and are remaining lost. the sheep are obviously going to have compassion on these brethren of Christ that lead them to Christ. So they visit them in prison, they bring them clothes and they give them water and so on because they are grateful for the evangelism of those 144,000.

with the goats! Who rejected the message probably hated the 144,000 and were glad to see them in prison and didn’t visit them didn’t care whether they lived or died or they had food or drink. And so whether they gave them water or food or drink was not the means of their salvation. It was simply saying that the ones that got saved were grateful to this group called my brethren. And as they treated the brethren they so treated Christ because they represented him.

They’re his witnesses during the tribulation. The five wise virgins were believers and the five foolish were lost. Verse 12 of Matthew 25 tells us very clearly to the second group, I know you not. That tells us that they were never saved and they didn’t know the Lord. But the five wise ones did know the Lord. And of course the way you come to know Christ is by trusting that He died for you at the cross of shed His blood was buried in rose again from the dead.

If you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, you need to do that because unless you trust Him according to the Bible, you’re living condemned already, but you’ll be condemned for eternity. The unpardonable sin is to die without Christ. Trust Him right now. Just telling Lord I’m the sinner, but I trust that Jesus paid my sin debt and full by His death and was buried then and resurrected from the dead and He’s alive forevermore. I trust Him as my Savior.
