And I hope you will give us a call. So this is Bibleline and we are living in the most exciting time, a time when the Christian needs to be more in the Bible than ever before because of the attacks of Satan on Christianity and on Christ, and you need to have answers. The Bible says in 1 Peter 3.15, be ready, be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
Well, we’re coming up on the resurrection of Christ, and I’d love this season. That’s the most holy season, I guess, for the Christian, for sure. The amazing thing is that as clear as the Bible is, how mixed up people get. You know, there is no such thing as good Friday. That’s right. Christ had to be crucified on Wednesday. So I say that Wednesday of the Crucifixion Week was good Wednesday and Friday was plain Friday. How do you know? Well, how do we know?
Well, the answer is that Christ was in the grave three days and three nights. You can’t possibly get three days and three nights between Friday and Sunday. It just doesn’t work. We know the day that Christ rose. was Sunday, but he could not have been in the grave 72 hours. Let me quote to you, Matthew 1240, this is Jesus himself speaking, and he says in Matthew 1240, as Jonah, was three days and three nights in the Ficious Belling, social as son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
So we know that 72 hours, three day-light periods of 12 hours and three night periods of 12 hours. That’s exactly 72 hours. And we know that Christ was placed in the grave at sundown. You see the Passover began at sundown. The Jewish people count their day from sundown to sundown and we believe that Thursday of the crucifixion week was the Passover. Christ was crucified according to the Bible on the preparation of the Passover, which was the preceding day. That was Wednesday.
And so Christ died at 3 in the afternoon. They hurriedly prepared His body and placed it in the tomb by 6 p.m. If Christ then were in the grave for 72 hours, that would mean He would come out of the grave, that’s sundown. And so Saturday at sundown is when we believe Christ rose from the dead. We’re having a sundown servicing in this year. We don’t believe Christ rose on Sunday morning. In fact, the Bible is clear that when the women came early that morning, they discovered an empty tomb.
Christ, I believe, was already risen by 12 hours when they arrived. The tomb was empty. Christ was already alive and risen from the grave. And it’s interesting as the Jewish people count their time, Saturday at sundown is actually the beginning of the first day of the week. Sunday night occurs first at Saturday, 6 p.m. and Christ rose exactly as the third day ended and the first day began. And so Christ rose at sundown Saturday night. That’s when we’re going to have our Sundown servers Saturday, April 7th at Sundown or 6 PM and you’re invited to come if you are in the area.
But definitely we would love to have you think about when Christ rose again from the dead. By the way, if you leave Christ in the grave until Sunday morning, you really violate the Scripture big time because you’re putting Christ in the grave and leaving them there three days and four nights. You see, if you leave him in the grave till the next morning, that’s an extra night period that makes it three days and four nights when the scripture says three days and three nights or 72 hours.
And some people say, well, he was in the grave on those who believe in the Good Friday myth. They say he was in part of Friday, part of Saturday, part of Sunday, that’s not even true. If you get this thing right, Christ rose right at the end of the Sabbath at Saturday, 6 p.m. And He wasn’t in the grave any part of Sunday. So that dismisses that because you might say part of Friday, part of Saturday, but no part of Sunday.
So He only got two parts. He didn’t get three parts. There was no three days implied there at all. It was really a full 72 hours that Christ was placed in the grave and rose we believe Saturday at Sunday. So here’s the way it went. Christ came before Pilate early on Wednesday morning and at 6 AM according to John 19, 14, Pilate declared to the crowd, Behold your king. Of course they rejected him and said we have no king but Caesar and they cried out, crucify him, crucified him, and piled the first present at him to be crucified.
At nine o’clock in the morning, Christ was nailed to the cross, and then he hung there for six long hours. At three in the afternoon he gave up his spirit from the body, and he died. And then from between three in the afternoon and six p.m., he was hurriedly buried as the The Passover began at 6 PM. And so Christ was placed in the grave at 6 p.m. If you go 72 hours, that puts him out of the grave at sundown Saturday.
And you know, it’s interesting. You would almost think the Bible contradicted itself because some passages say that Christ rose on the third day. Others say after the third day. So how do you reconcile that? That’s the only way you can reconcile that is to say he died exactly at the end of the third day and right there exactly as the fourth day began. That’s Saturday at sundown. That way both would be true as he rose on the third day right at the very conclusion of 72 hours, and also after the third day, which would be right there at that split second when the fourth day is beginning.
So Christ rose at sundown in the morning. They found an empty tomb. Christ is risen. He’s alive. There is no tomb with his bones in it, like we’re hearing in the news here lately, the called Raiders of the Lost Tomb, this lost tomb of Christ supposedly being found with his bones and the bones of Mary Baglin and a supposed son that they had. All of that is pure nonsense and a direct attack upon Christianity and upon the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ.
Jesus said again and again, long before he went to the cross, that he would laid out his life and he would pick it up again and that he would send back up into heaven. All the way through the gospel you read how he told in advance how he would die and how he would come back again from the dead and that he says I’m leaving and going back to heaven and where I go you cannot come and the reason why they couldn’t come is because they didn’t acknowledge Christ as the Savior and trust him as their only hope of reaching heaven.
My friend have you trusted Christ? If you haven’t, you need to. The only way to heaven is to trust him that he died and shed his blood and paid your sin dead and full was buried and rose again from the dead. And so does this make a difference as to what day he was crucified on? Not really. If you trust that he died and shed his blood for you and rose again from the dead, God will save you. But at this time of year, it will be reading about it shortly.
There are people called stigmatas. They bleed supposedly by carelessly suffering the sufferings of Christ in their hands and in their feet. There are paintings that bleed and so on. And it’s interesting. If this were of God, it wouldn’t happen on Friday. It happens on the wrong day. Good Friday is not when Christ was crucified. Supposedly They suffer when Christ was suffering on supposedly good Friday. It’s just plain Friday. If this were really of God, then they would bleed on Wednesday because Wednesday is the right day for the crucifixion.
That’s quite clear in the scripture. I’m Dr. Englund’s room. This is Bibleline and we’re going to go to the phone lines and talk to our callers and we invite you to call us here at 1-800-576-3771. 800-576-3771. We have Joanne in St. Petersburg and Joanne, welcome to the Bible and program. You’re on the air. I was wondering what is the best Bible to buy. I used to have an NIV student Bible which I really liked. This was a long time ago and I gave it away to a frickle as well.
Well you know, the NIV has got a lot of problems. It drops 44 versus in their entirety. It really does change the number of doctrines and attempts to do away with the doctrine of hell. Our Laird Harris, who is the editor of the NIV, definitely said that hell is no more than the grave or to return back to dust in which we came and denies the fact that there is a real hell. And you can see that reflected in the NIV.
By the way, the NIV is very much like the new world translation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. You might as well get the cheaper one from the Jehovah’s Witnesses. They got the very same 44 verses that the NIV does. And the title is even somewhat the same. New world translation and new international version are almost word for word the same. New and new international and world. and then… The Bible is not a problem. It’s written in a fifth and sixth grade level.
So anybody ought to be able to read it. And the only problem is that these novels, but they seem to fade away after some three months or so. after some three months or so. so of reading. I lead people to Christ all the time and I put them right into King James and they don’t seem to have a problem at all. It seems to fade away and I think it’s an imagined problem more than anything else. But if you read your Bible on a regular basis, the reason that I was just kind of disappear.
It is a wonderful Bible. But the newer ones, even though they might solve some problems, there is no perfect Bible, by the way. I don’t believe that the King James is infallible, I believe the original manuscripts were, and that there is no translation in any language that is an absolutely perfect flawless translation. So I like the King James, a Scofield Bible, and the notes in the Scofield usually clarify a word that maybe has been translated correctly or has changed meaning since 1611.
One of those words, of course, is repent. The Greek word is metanoia. It does not mean the same thing as the English word repent, which can mean to turn from sin or to be sorry for sin. The Greek word has no such meaning. It simply means to change your mind. Meta means change. Noia, noia means mind. Metanoia, the two words together, form the word that’s translated repent in the Bible, and the Greek word means change your mind. And so most often it’s used in that way that you are to change your mind and recognize that Christ is indeed God who took on flesh.
He is the Savior, the only means of reaching heaven and you need to trust Him as the only means of going to heaven. So I recommend the Old Schofield Reference Bible. Now is that available anymore? Well, we still have some copies, but it’s getting more and more difficult to get. You can call us. We have it in a Softback Hardback and Leather and our Softback and Hardback. As soon as they go, they’re gone because they’re out of print and we can’t get them anymore.
But we still can get the leather and we hope that will continue. We have that in a nice leather and we also have it in a large print. you can get it in a hardback in the large print as well. So you can call our operators and they can send you a resource sheet and you can take a look at what we’ve got. Or if you have internet access, you can look pictures, look at the pictures of what we have in our resource center.
Oh, what is the number to call in and order? All right, call our regular church office number. It’s area 2813. 813. 884. 884. 4328. 4328 4328 and Blind ministries.org Bibleline Ministries one word O RG and you can look at everything right there. Oh Wonderful. Thank you. I appreciate your program and I’ve Found well, I only listen to it in the car. So I get bits and pieces one of these days I’m gonna hear today’s program and all well there you go on the internet you can catch it anytime you want Well, thank you so much.
You have a great day and God bless. Thank you so much Joanne in the st. Petersburg. We have Kyle down in Sarasota, Florida and Kyle Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hey doc. Well, I love you ministry Hey, I was getting into a discussion with a friend of mine about seeing the faith of God and living to talk to us where as to meet Gideon did and he wanted me to just judge his six seventeen to twenty-two where Gideon is talking to God it sounds like an an angel on the Lord but what got me was the place touched the sacrifice and consumed it with the staff and it made me wonder what kind of angel was that?
Oh, what? Jesus? This angel is Jesus. This angel is God himself. Every time, every time you see the angel of the Lord in the Old Testament, it is a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ. And you notice if you read the Exodus 3 at the burning bush, that was the angel of Lord as well and it was God who spoke to Moses of the Bush and God says his name is I Am.
The same is true to the story of Gideon. That was the Lord himself and that was God in flesh in a visible form. So they could not see God as a spirit. But God did appear in pre-incarnate appearances in the Old Testament. Melchizedek, that met with Abraham was, I believe, a pre-incarnate appearance of Christ. In Hebrews 7, it describes Melchizedek as not having father or mother, not having a father or mother. a beginning or an end, but being continuous forever.
One who is made like under the Son of God, clearly he’s talking about Christ. So what they’re really talking about is you can’t be God in the Spirit like Moses, one big past by and one Moses. Exactly. He saw the glory of the Lord as it passed by and he was protected from being killed from being in that very presence of God, but God chose to reveal himself in a human body, and God in human flesh has been seen.
All right, great. That answer is it. Thank you, Doc. Okay, Kyle, and thank you for calling in. We have Stephen in Clearwater, Florida, and Stephen, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Shalom, Dr. Hank, I want to be the first one to wish you a happy poem. Well thank you. It’s a beautiful time of year. And the story of Esther is certainly a beautiful one. And how she was used of God for such a time as that was when the Jewish people were in danger of being exterminated.
And again we see the world wanting to exterminate him. And this crazy guy and I ran one and the blow is right off the map in the straw of the Jews. We’re living in such a time again today, I believe, and the Lord is coming back and He’ll be the deliverer this time. Yes, and the thing is wonderful is when people study the whole Council of God, and not yet to look at the New Testament to understand that all the foundational truths and all the time that Jesus spoke, He was quoting from the Hebrew Scriptures.
If you study the Hebrew Scriptures, you realize that King Saul, the first king of Israel, who was disobedient, who did not wipe out Amalek, and King Saul, who was from the tribe of Benjamin, many years later, a descendant of Amalek, Haman, was the one who was going to wipe out the Jewish people, and a descendant from the tribe of Benjamin by the name of Mordecai, who was the one who God used in a mighty way as well to fulfill his purposes.
Isn’t that something? And I think isn’t Paul the apostle of the tribe of Benjamin as well? Absolutely. It’s beautiful. I personally look, as I’ve written a book on End Times, I actually believe that the ministry of the two witnesses in Jerusalem will start on poor. Every event, a major event in the Bible was appointed to God’s calendar. Jesus instituted the New Covenant in his own blood. I’m a Passover. He rose on the feast of first fruit, the Holy Spirit came down at Tannikas.
And every thing that is written in the war in the prophets was fulfilled in Christ. So I believe that in the Second Coming he’s also going to be fulfilling all of the festivals of God and even the extra biblical festivals of Hanukkah and Purim is also going to be fulfilled by Christ. That’s wonderful. That’s exciting. And I know that in Israel at this time of year the children all dress up and the little girls use where these beautiful dresses I guess they’re being Esther Queen Ashtrick.
Yeah, and it’s it’s an exciting time they It’s just a wonderful thing to see and I’ve always enjoyed visiting Israel at porn It’s a beautiful time and that’s some of the reasons why I see the two witnesses in the book of Revelation If you realize that about being dressed in sackcloth and ashes and the days of fasting in terms of Esther before she approached the king and also about the sinners of the earth give gifts to one another. There’s a lot of similarities to the festival of poem you can even see in the book of Revelation and especially how the trumpets relate to the Yom T’rua or Riko Rasha Shana, the fiesta in order to better understand the whole Council of God, especially the Book of Revelation, you have to really understand the Torah and the prophets as well as the alvea, the discourse and other places.
A lot of people have trouble in their studies because they haven’t studied soothe the entire Bible and really have discounted things which are still important because the festivals of Yahweh are the times that God will call this people into his presence. If you look… The President’s Act of Life that after the great and terrible day of the Lord after the time of Armageddon, that all the nations, the survivors are going to go up to Jerusalem every year to do what?
So they speak to cabin echoes. Amen. Hey Stephen, thank you for your call and appreciate that. We’ve got to run. It’s time for our break. And that was Stephen a Jewish believer in the Messiah calling in. We’re going to do another half hour here by blind. We go for the full hour and we don’t want you to change that dial. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right. I’m Dr. Englund Stuhrman. This is Bibleline and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. And I hope you’ll to this in each and every day and if you have internet you can do it anytime a day, anytime of the week, from anywhere in the world.

We have almost 13,000 radio listeners on the internet as well as about 10,000 watching our Bibleline television on the internet. Give it a try. Also, our worship services are now being streamed on the internet. We hope that you will take a look at that. Click on the camera on the home page and you can not only catch it live on Sunday morning but also throughout the week and so on.

But what we call in and order, the 10 hours of teaching, for a gift of $50 plus shipping, you can have all 10 hours of teaching on Jesus is coming. That was an exciting class and the last class as we finished, everybody broken to applause.
I think everybody really thoroughly enjoyed this series which was so uplifting, so upbeat as we talked about the return of Jesus and as believers we got a wonderful future I had. If you have any questions you can always call our operators and if you haven’t given the Bibleline we could certainly use your help. We are now into the month of March and we hope that you will consider not only praying for Bible end but giving a gift to Bible end to keep us on the air.
We could use your help. No gift is too small and maybe we would consider giving a gift. If you can give a larger gift that would be greatly appreciated, we are about ready to go to Israel and we’re going to have some opportunity to perhaps do radio and things and we are gathering together some pieces of equipment to be able to accomplish that, and your gift could help us to be able to bring you some exciting things from Israel, and you’ll get to enjoy those when we get back.
You can do that by credit card over the phone, and you can also do it by mail. You can call, and our operators will give you the address, or send you an envelope with it printed on it, but you can also call and just give a gift by credit card over the phone that would help Bibleline immensely. We’re about ready to do the second half hours to keep your radio tuned right where it is as we go to Bibleline part two.
Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back for that break and this is Bibleline and we’re coming to you live from Tampa From our studios here at the Calvary Community Church or in the pastor We’re located right next to the airport and we look forward to being with you each and every day and you’re welcome to join us We hope that you will every day and on the internet, anytime of day from anywhere in the world.
We hope that you’ll take advantage. You can watch our TV shows and our radio programs and even catch our worship services on the internet. You can watch the video and hear the audio. It’s exciting that we’re able to do that. You can download those in the MP3 format. If you have a video iPod, you can download our TV programs and carry them with you and watch them wherever you might be. Tell your friends about Babylon. We are on the air down in Honduras, on the island of Rotan, which has got 80,000 people and that station reaches most all of the country, including Tagusagalpa, the capital of Honduras and where it sounded about how God has opened up doors.
We just finished attending the National Religious Broadcasters Convention and it looks like some big doors are opening up for us to go on shortwave into Africa and Asia and into Russia in particular. And these people are going to translate free and heiress for free. Isn’t that exciting? So we’re really excited about God opening up new doors for Bibleline to reach out into Africa and into Russia and into other parts of Asia. And we’re excited about different things that are developing all the time.
We certainly hope that you will make plans to listen to us as often as you can and pray for us. And if you can give a gift to Bibleline, that would be great. Here we’re into the month of March. We can certainly use your help every month. And we really are looking for God to raise up people who give a regular gift to Bible line. And if you could commit to doing that, that would be wonderful. You can give a gift by credit card over the phone.
You can set it up so it will automatically happen. You can also ask for envelopes to be sent. It will have our address on it. And you can mail a gift to Bibleline. But in any case, I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and for your gifts to Bible line. I believe Christ has been crucified and paid our sin debt and full, was buried and rose again from the dead and he’s alive for a more and we’re excited about this time of year when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ again from the dead.
All of our lines are filled up and we’re going to try to take some calls here. We’re going to Beldlade, Florida down by the big lake there in Florida, the Lake of We have Arthur and Arthur welcome to Bibleline as we appreciate your patience in waiting on the line in your viet Arthur. Yes I passed it. I believe that you’ll find a version of Bible. I mean you are referring to a verse that says God spoke to God. That’s Hebrews 1 8.
Hebrews 1 8 there you find that God speaks to the Son and calls in God Okay, I would they see be one eight that’s correct. I like thank you very much. Okay, you’re welcome. That was Arthur Down in Belgrade’s ford, patiently waiting for that answer. We now have Steve in Sarah Soda and Steven Sarasota. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Hello, you respond to a lot of the media and people are saying that a faith in Jesus to save me from hell because of the factual things that I learned about What’s going on about the Bible?
It seems like people that aren’t saved always think that the space we have in Christ is this blind face and it’s likely to respond to the people that are out there saying that our faith is… What? Well I earned that as a little boy too, that you just accepted everything blindly. But you know, a faith, true faith is established upon fact and you have faith in the chair that you sit on because you know facts about chairs and you know they’re built to hold humans and could hold your body weight so you sit down on it and you trust it or put put your faith in that chair.
And there’s some good books out there. We have one called Evidence of the Vans of Ertic by Josh MacDowell. Excellent. Well documented, showing not only fulfilled prophecies and documenting the fact that the prophecy was genuine and written sometimes hundreds, even thousands of years in advance, and then the fulfillment being documented is powerful. Scientific facts and other things. That’s a greatonents. For the skeptic, if you have somebody who’s really a skeptic and needs that kind of evidence, definitely that’s the book to get.
So I hope that you might want to take a look at our resource center, and we’ve got other things that are excellent in the way of confirming the Bible to be the Word of God. The evangelism book we have even has a chapter or two on evidences and scientific facts in the Bible that are quite convincing. The fact that the Bible tells us the earth is round thousands of years ago. The fact that God created the universe out of his energy thousands of years ago, e is equal to MZ squared.
That concept is taught in the Bible three thousand years before Einstein. That’s quite fascinating. Thank you, Steve. We’re now going to go to Irene in Englewood, Florida, and Irene, welcome to my line. Yeah. On the previous gentleman that was on, he spoke that possibly Paul from the tribe of… Benjamin. Benjamin, okay, all right. I have another question. Let me just tell everybody again. Excuse me. Okay. I have another some thoughts. Okay. at our birth at every human beings birth a week are we given body soul and spirit I believe that conception we are on our way body soul and spirit yes we’re made trying beings okay then fine all right now this spirit within us is this what we call man spirit of God spirit or is it man spirit that God later on will become a believer?
Well, our spirit, God has given us our very own body, soul and spirit. But when you trust Jesus, then the Spirit of God also comes and takes up residence in your body. And so there are two spirits living in the body, once you become safe. God, the Holy Spirit and our spirit. All right. Great. Let’s answer my question. Okay. I’ll make this brief as I can. Okay. When a believer dies, I definitely know the body goes to the grave.
Okay, they go directly into the presence of God second Corinthians 5 8 says absent from the body present with the Lord so when you die as a believer you’re directly to the Lord and At the event called the Rapture you’ll get a brand new body and then you’ll be completed again as body soul and spirit Okay, amen. All right when we die the body goes to the grave. We have no question on thatFirstly Okay now in the dive when we die as a believer I’ve putting the second front And so the soul and spirit go to be with God if yes, okay, all right fine All right now, let’s reverse the celebrate the unbeliever.
We know the body goes to the grave That’s not and now when it goes to the greater that human being Where do they reside or we go to Hades in the heart of the earth in a place of flame and torment? You can read about it in Luke 16 and you’ll find that after the millennium after the thousand year of Christ They’re brought up out of Hades given their new bodies at what is called the second resurrection and then they’re cast in to help Okay, so they’re for their soul and spirit reside in Hades until you got it Oh, okay.
Well, you made it very clear to me and I surely appreciate it You’re very welcome and that was Irene down in Inglewood, Florida We now have Adam and Tampa, Florida Adam. Welcome to Bibleline on the earth Good morning Pastor Hank, my question comes from God, who is that referring to? That’s referring to believers. God never called an angel his son, Hebrews 1-5 tells us that God never called an angel his son. So these are believers and it began early in Genesis where believers were called the sons of God.
And John 1-4 tells us to as many as received Christ to them God gave the authority for them to become the sons of God. So when you become born again, you become a child in God’s family and you’re called a son of God. In the Old Testament in particular, the phrase, sons of men or children of men is a reference to unsaved people. But once you become a believer, you’re called a son of God. And the believers were meeting in Job 1, they’re together to worship the Lord.
And that’s when Satan comes along and observes what they’re doing in God and Satan have their conversation. Yes, that might have been out about. Yeah, there are several, but I think Psalm 40 is one of them where it talks about it. Not too sure, but I think so. I don’t know if that way. I don’t know if I can find it real quickly, but I think there are a couple of Psalms that say that it’s not. I don’t think it is Psalm 40, but there is one earlier, I think.
I concordance would help you here real quick to be able to find exactly the one you’re looking for. Maybe one of our listeners would look that up for us and tell us, but it says the Lord is my rock and saw me, but that’s not the one you’re looking for. So we’ll maybe get a listener to look that up in their concordance and call us with that answer. But we have some off-air questions we haven’t been able to get to, so we’ll go to Catherine in Utica, New York, she calls in and leaves this off air.
If anyone actually interprets the Bible 100% correctly, to master the Bible is a lifelong project. But definitely, I believe you can definitely on the major doctrines get them right because There’s enough on each of the major doctrines where as you compare scripture with scripture, if you have the correct interpretation, your interpretation will harmonize all those different verses and different passages and it will come out right. For example in salvation, there should not be any argument on interpretation. We ought to be in full agreement that salvation is not by works.
by grace, it’s through faith in Christ and is shed blood at the cross and so on and so on. So absolutely in those areas. But there are other areas where there can be disagreement and that’s not as important. So we need a major and what’s major and minor and what’s minor. And when we talk about eternal salvation as verses you can lose it and the fact that you’re saved by faith and not by works. There’s no argument in this area.
There’s another major doctors are quite plain in the Bible. Catherine also says in the books prior to Jesus dying, what are the people saying that they believe in? They believe in Jesus. They believed in the Hebrews Yeshua. That occurs over 130 times in the Old Testament. That literally is the equivalent of in English the word Jesus. So they believed Jesus would come and die. Abraham believed in the promised seed that would come and that’s Christ. In Galatians 3 16 it says he actually believed in Christ.
Galatians 3 8 says the scripture, the Old Testament scripture, for seeing that God would justify the heathen through faith preached before the gospel unto Abraham. So that’s the answer for you. Catherine in Utica, New York. Thank you so much. We have here Jeff in the land Florida calling in. She said, how and what are the best ways of explaining the permanency of his salvation to my 12 year old son? And his son apparently asked him if he would be in the Rapture.
What is the key? First Thessalonians 414 tells us who will be in the Rapture. It says, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again. So Jeff asks your son if he believes that Jesus died and rose again for his sins and according to 1 Thessalonians 414 he will then definitely be in the rapture. And of course John 3 16 explains how permanent his salvation because it says if he your son would believe or trust in Christ he would not perish because Christ perished but he would have right now, present tense, everlasting life.
So if he has everlasting life right now, because it is in the present tense, then ask your son what kind of life will it be tomorrow? It’ll still be everlasting. How about next week? It’ll still be everlasting. How about next year? It’ll still be everlasting. What about a million years from now? It’ll still be everlasting. In other words, if it’s everlasting life, it’s going to be forever and ever and ever. And if he’s trusted Christ, 1st Thessalonians 414, he’ll definitely be in the rapture.
We’re now going to go to an anonymous call in the land, Florida, and we welcome you to the Bible and program. You’re on the air. Thank you. I really appreciate your program. Thank you. And I would like to ask you a question about Revelation 1916. Okay, I’m turning there right now and I’m almost there. Let’s see here. One more page and I’m there. Verse 16 says, and he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
My daughter and I have had the Bible. discussion and I told her I would call and ask you she lives in a northern state and it said on his face your meaning on his clothes and on his thigh and she was saying if it’s on his thigh it’s on his skin and we’re not supposed to mark our skin so tell me. Well you’re absolutely right and I don’t think it’s on his skin I really think that it’s clothing and it’s on the it’s on additionally on the area of its thighs so I’ll have to take a look at it very more carefully to see if there’s a usually there’s a Greek word and the word on in the Greek I think is upon not necessarily on the skin but good question and I’ll have to take a deeper look here If I give the person that took the call, my name and address, could you send me this?
Oh, yeah. Why don’t you I’ll give you back to my operator right now and he’ll talk to you, and we’ll get this settled for you. I sure do appreciate your program and thank you so much. You’re very welcome. Listening in the land floor over toward the east coast toward the Donum Beach in that area. We have, let’s see here John in Tampa, Florida, says a plea gift scripture that tells us we should work hard and sacrifice when serving God.
Well, I think Romans 12, 1 says it, it says I plead with you, I beseech you brethren in view of the mercy that God has had upon you, that you present your body a living sacrifice. Holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. So it’s talking about that we should give our bodies, our lives as a sacrifice to, or to be sacrificed, living them not for our own purposes, but to please the Lord. So Romans 12, I think it says it all.
And thank you, John, in Tampa. We have Hernando in Brandon, Florida calling and leaving an offer of questions. He says, we’re in the Bible, and we should put Christ first in everything we do. Well Matthew 6 has a great verse that says basically that, and these are the words of Christ, and it says that we are to seek the kingdom of God first, and then all these other things in life will be added unto us. So Matthew 633, I think Hernando would exactly say that.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God and then all the other things of life will be added to us or taken care of by the Lord. Paul in St. Petersburg calls in with this offer of question. He says where is the verse in the Bible that says that we should be ready at any moment to give our testimony. Well, I think 1 Peter 3.15 says it well. 1 Peter 3.15 says be ready always to give an answer. So there you go.
1 Peter 3.15, I think, is the answer. Laurie, in Tampa, Florida, calls in with this offer question. She says, can we hide things from God? And the answer is no. In Hebrews 4, verse 12 and 13, it says, all things are naked and open to the eyes of the one with whom we have to deal. And so God sees everything. Nothing is hidden from Him. Hebrews 4, 12 and verse 13. And Laurie, thank you. God sees everything. Nothing is naked to Him.
139th Psalm also talks about how the darkness doesn’t hide anything from God. He sees everything and that’s exciting. We also have here John in Lewisville. Colorado and he calls in. He says, is there a scripture that says if someone is negligent in doing the work of the Lord that he is damned? No. It says that he will be judged, but not damned. But the believer will give it a count. And that’s why somebody who is serving the Lord ought to be more careful.
James talks about in chapter 3 of James in verse 1 that we need to… be careful before we choose to be a leader, teacher or whatever, because we’ll be held doubly responsible because we are caring for others and we can mislead them or lead them correctly. Thank you for that call and we’ll go back to some live calls now. We have Kevin in Largo, Florida and Kevin, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Hi, Dr. Lindstrom. I have a question in pertaining to the rapture and the missionaries that are going to the outer parts of the earth.
Doesn’t it say that before the rapture happens that the last, I believe, will have to be added to the body of Christ? Well, none of those words so much, but it says in Romans chapter 11 verse 26 that when the fullness of the Gentiles has come in, then the Rapture happens and out we go. So that, I think it’s Romans 11, 25, until that happens we’ll still be here. But the fullness of the Gentiles means I believe when the last Gentile is added to the body of Christ, then the rapture will happen absolutely.
Okay, well these missionaries that are going all over to the outer parts of the world, and I saw where a whole tribe was just saved recently, and they were given a commission to go save these other tribes. It looks like there’s just lots and lots of remote parts that they’re still lost, that haven’t even heard of the gutter Jesus Christ. So my question is… My question is, what my confusion is, because I know I feel that we’re very near the rapture, but then I start to see a little bit further, and I start thinking there’s so many that are still not safe.
I don’t know, can you shine a little bit more light on that for me? I don’t think I would concentrate on that so much because it’s not necessarily lost tribes that we’re talking about there is simply the last one will be added to this age of the body of Christ as a Gentile. But evangelism will still continue after the Rapture and millions of all nations and kindreds and tongues will be saved during the tribulation period. So I don’t think the focus ought to be there, but rather on the other more obvious things that Christ said would be signs of his return.
So I wouldn’t worry about that. And hopefully that helps a little bit. No, that helps a lot. Thank you so much. Alright, thank you Kevin. And let’s see here. We have some more offer questions. We have Jim in Richmond, Virginia. He calls in and he says, I want to fight the devil and win. It’s very difficult. And I have often failed. What are some of the best verses to help me do this? Well, we need to be careful about fighting the devil.
He’s stronger than all of us. Basically, what we need to do is let the Lord fight the devil for us. Let me give you a neat verse over in the book of… Let’s see here. There’s a good one here in 1 Peter, chapter 5. It says, Be sober, verse 8 of chapter 5 of 1 Peter, be sober, be vigilant because you’re adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion. It says here, walketh about seeking whom he made a vow. So there you go, you’re the one he’s looking for.
Verse 9, it says, whom resist how? It says you’re steadfast in the faith. So as you’re steadfast in reading your Bible and standing up for Christ and living for Him, the devil is going to be resisted. So that I think will give you a good answer, therefore, how to deal with Satan. So I would be… John, the Lord, resisting him. Another good one is James 4, verse 7, where it says, submit yourself, therefore, to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
So James 4, 7, as well. While the time goes so quickly here, and we have more collars here and lots more of the off-air questions. We’ll probably have to pick them up and take them tomorrow. Today is our television day. We’ll be on in Hillsborough County at four o’clock this afternoon for a full hour on Channel 20 the access channel. That’s just Hillsborough County if you Have direct TV and catches the 630 nationwide on Channel 321 World Harvest Television and then if you will at seven o’clock tonight you can catch us on on the CTN Network to the West Coast of Florida.
