By the way, we are in the last week of June and this coming Sunday will be the first Sunday in July.
We’re going to be celebrating on July 4th on July 1st, Sunday. That’s right. So we’re going to have a celebration of our country’s birthday. We’re going to have a picnic with hamburgers and hot dogs and apple pie and all kinds of picnic items. If you’re in the area, you’re welcome to come and join us for that. Also, you’re always welcome to join our morning worship on the internet. And yesterday we believe we had a family in Germany watching our worship service live.
And of course we have many during the week that go back and view these worship services on the Internet as they sit there and archive. All you have to do is go to Bible-lined Ministries. He’s not ORG. Click on the camera for the worship services. Click on the TV set for the television programs. Click on the spinning globe for the radio programs and you can catch today’s radio show right now live streamed to the Internet. And also, you can, of course, go back and review the programs or listen to them as often as you like.
Got a wonderful letter from a listener who said he’s downloaded over a hundred of our radio programs into his iPod. And when he goes bike riding, he’s listening to Bibleline all the way. That’s exciting. And you can do that too. We have the podcasting and we have the radio programs and the MP3 format available for you to download for your iPod. You can also do that with our television programs if you have a video iPod. So you can take the programs with you and enjoy or share them with others in that way.
We’re excited about this week. Our teens from my church will be headed off for camp and we pray they’ll have a safe time and hopefully a real great spiritual experience as they get into the Word of God all week long. So all kinds of activities are happening this summer also we’ll have vacation Bible school. We’ll have a soccer camp. A lot of youth activities here and we’re praying for all those activities here locally for our church. But in any case, we’re glad to have you listening today and Bible income to you Monday through Friday.
We hope you’ll be listening every day. We’re going to go to the Bible and study for a few minutes and then we’ll come back and catch you live or off air if you want to leave a question you can, or you can go up on the air live with us. Just call us at 1-800-576-3771. Question is, can a person who has been saved ever lose their salvation? I am just amazed at how many people believe that you can. What is scary about that is that I don’t believe you’re saved if you believe you can lose it, because if you believe you can lose it, you’re really without recognizing it, trusting in your works.
I’ll never forget years ago I talked to a young man and I said, where are you gonna go when you die? He said, heaven, I said, how do you know? He says, I’ve trusted Jesus Christ as my savior. And I said, well, what if you don’t go to church and read your Bible anymore? What if you backslide and die? What would happen then? He said, oh, I’d go to hell. I said, you’re not saved. He said, yes, I am.
I said, no, you’re not. He said, yes, I am. I said, no, you’re not. And I said, the reason why you’re not saved is because you’re trusting in your works. He said, no, I’m not. I said, yes, you are. He said, no, I’m not. I said, yes, you are. And then I illustrated it by saying, look, let me see if I’ve got it right. Is this what you believe? Do you believe from this moment on forward till your death that if you live the Christian life faithfully and die, you’ll go to heaven.
He said, absolutely. That’s exactly what I believe. I said, if you, from this moment on, maybe quit living the Christian life and you backslide and you die, what would happen to you then? He said, oh, I’d go to hell. I said, that’s works. Think about it. You’re telling me that what you do between now and your death will determine your salvation. That makes you the Savior. It means that your salvation is dependent upon what you do or what you do not do.
And that means works. And according to the Bible you are not saved. It says in Ephesians 2-9, salvation is not of works. What does any man should boast or brag? It’s not based on anything of yourself. It’s the gift of God. It’s not of works that said he mentioned boast. And the Bible tells us in Romans 11-6, if by grace. That is mercy, unmerited favor. If by grace, then it is no more of works. That’s pretty plain. But the next part of that verse really is pretty powerful.
It says, but if it be of works, that is, if you’re trusting in any works to save you, then it will no more be of grace. My friend, you wouldn’t want to die and stand before God without any grace, any mercy, because then you would go to hell. I’m so glad that we’re saved by grace, and that means the absence of works. And once you trust Christ, you’re saved forever. You wouldn’t want to get justice. You want to have God’s grace or mercy.
And that’s the only way you could be saved. In Ephesians 2, 8, it says, 4 by grace, by mercy. Are you saved through faith in Jesus Christ? This salvation is not of yourself. It is the gift of God, not of works. Let’s say any man should boast. It reminds me of the story that Lady went to the photographer to get pictures taken. And she got the proofs back of herself. And she was irate. She was unhappy. She was just furious and she went back to the photographer.
She throws the proof down on his desk and she’s hollering at him and saying, these pictures are lousy. They don’t do me justice. And he looked up at her and said, lady, you don’t need justice. You need mercy. Well, you know that’s true of all of us. We all deserve hell. If we got justice, we would go to hell. Everyone in the human race is already condemned, but to be able to enter heaven, you need God’s grace. You need God’s mercy.
None of us are deserving of going to heaven at all. Although the phrase eternal security does not occur in the Bible, phrases that are equivalent to it are certainly there. The Bible talks about salvation as being everlasting life. It’s talked about as being eternal life, eternal salvation, eternal inheritance, eternal redemption, and so on and so on and so on. It’s quite clear that God had in mind that it would be eternally, not just for a short period of time or trial period.
God doesn’t give you probation, he gives you salvation. So eternal security really is therefore not a separate doctrine from that of eternal life or eternal salvation. It’s one and the same. Let me just say this, if you’re not saved forever, you’re not saved. Let me say that again. If you’re not saved forever, you’re not saved. Salvation by definition means you have been delivered. Delivered from what? From hell to go to heaven. And so at the moment you trust Christ, you have been delivered from going to hell.
Not part way, not some of the way, not being helped, but actually being delivered by a You know, the promise is that once you trust Christ, Jesus will make sure that your feet stand safely on heaven’s shore one day. Because He totally saves you. What about a lifeguard? What if He just took you part way to shore and then said, you’re on your own? There’s only 100 yards left, tell that shore and yet the waves are huge and the water is deep but try your best.
That’s not Solvation and the lifeguard would be remiss if he did that. A lifeguard doesn’t save someone unless they take them from their dilemma and take some all the way to the shore and has them safely up on that shore out of the water. The same thing is true with us being saved from hell. When you trust Christ, you really haven’t understood what it is to trust Him unless you’re trusting Him to take you from this planet all the way to heaven’s shores.
There you’ll be safe in his presence forever and ever and ever. So salvation is something that is eternal. It is something that takes place at an instant in time. It is something that cannot be lost because you and I are not keeping it. It has absolutely nothing to do with our works. I think one of the most amazing things that I’ll tell them here preachers preach on it, but in 2 Corinthians 5, 19. It tells us what we are to say when we preach to the lost.
In 2 Corinthians 519 it says to wit that as Old English it means that is to say. Or here is what you are to say. Here is what you are to give testimony to when you talk about salvation. 2 Corinthians 519 to wit that is where to say God was in Christ. You know it is amazing but a lot of people don’t know that Jesus Christ is God. God who came and took on human flesh and went to the cross and died for your sins and mine.
So Jesus Christ is God. He is the God-man. God came to the earth and took on human flesh in the person of Jesus Christ. Secondly, it tells us in this wonderful verse in 2 Corinthians 5-19 that he came to reconcile the world unto himself. You know, that’s the opposite of religion. religion is all about man reconciling himself to God. The word religion comes from two Latin words, re-eliguera means to do something of self to bind back to God. That’s impossible.
That’s impossible. That’s why all religions will fail. All religions will take you to hell. You can choose any religion you want and you’ll spend all eternity in hell. Religion cannot save because religion is based upon you and your works and your deeds by the Bible says there is only one way to heaven that is Jesus Christ and he is the one that bridges the gap from an infinite God, a righteous Holy God and sinful you and me that are separated from him by infinity.
And he bridged that gap at the cross by going to the cross and dying for you and for me and when we trust that he did that for us, God gives us the gift of eternal life. You see, it is God’s work, it is God’s gift, it is God’s salvation, and we simply receive it. And the moment you trust Christ, you receive that wonderful gift, and from that moment on you could be absolutely sure of going to heaven. That’s got to be the best news you’re ever going to hear.
And then thirdly, this is the point I wanted to get to. In 2 Corinthians 5, 19, it says, not imputing their trespasses under them, not imputing their trespasses under them. I sell them and I think I really don’t think I ever hear preachers preach on this. But you know the Bible says that God is not charging your sins against you. There’s only one sin you’re accountable for. That’s the sin of unbelief. That’s the unpardonable sin. That’s to reject Jesus who paid for all of your sins.
You see when Jesus died on the cross, He paid for every sin you would ever commit past, present, and future. And so God the Bible says it’s not charging your sins against you. Boy, that is not what I heard as a child. When I was being raised in church, I was told if I did this, I’d go to hell. If I did that, I’d go to hell. If I didn’t start doing this other thing, I would go to hell.
And I was told that all these sins were charged against me. Whatever I did would probably send me to hell. And I was convinced by the time I was a high school senior, I’d probably go to hell. But wow, the good news when I heard that Jesus had paid for every sin that anyone in the human race would ever commit. That’s right, he died for everyone. And the only sin that is going to cause you to go to hell is to reject Christ, to not trust him as your Savior.
Let me quote John 3, 18, Jesus made it as plain as you’ll ever hear it. He the believeth on the Son Jesus had has everlasting life. I need to believe it’s not. The sun shall not see life. It says, but he’s condemned already and it says, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Belief and unbelief is the only difference between heaven and hell. When you believe or trust on Christ you’re not condemned, but if you do not believe you’re condemned already because you have not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.
If you die without trusting Christ, you will go to hell. And then all of your sins will be in your ball court and you will pay for the ball. But if you trust Christ because He’s already paid for them and you receive the provision that He made for you at the cross, God saves you and He saves you eternally. My friend, that’s the best news you’re ever going to hear. I heard it in 18. I trusted Christ as my Savior and the work of salvation has been already accomplished two thousand years ago at the cross and when you simply trust Christ you can be sure of going to heaven.
I’m Dr. Englundstrom. This is Bible and we’re going to take our callers at this time if you would like to call us. The number is 1-800-576-3771. 800-576-3771. Give us a call and we’ll be glad to answer your question and also we’ll take questions from those that are leaving them off air. We have Mark calling in, this is an off air question from Hearst, Texas and he says, how do you explain why John does not write of the destruction of the temple on 80-70 if he wrote the book of Revelation in ninety eighty well i believe you probably wrote it around eighty ninety six and uh…
obviously uh… this was uh… not significant in what he was writing he was already some uh… thirty six years or thirty years at least uh… past when uh… the temple was destroyed i believe if you read the book of revelation that it breaks into three natural divisions It’s in Revelation 119 that you see this where it says, write the things which thou hast seen past tense, and then the things which are chapters 2 and 3, and the things which shall be hereafter, chapters 4, verse 1 to the end of the book.
And when you look at the things which are passed, it’s just basically a summary of what Christ did for you at the cross. how he washed this from our sins in his own blood in verse 5 of chapter 1. But then we find that he writes to the seven churches that were existent at that time in Asia Minor. And we are now talking about the church age and the temple has nothing to do with us in the church age.
So in chapters 2 and 3 there is no necessity to mention it because we are a part of the church. And these seven churches give us a picture of church history over the past 2000 years. The church at Ephesus pictures the first century church, a Dr. O’lea sound hard working church. The second church, the church at Smyrna, pictures the persecuted church of the second and third centuries. The church at Pergamos pictures from the time of Constantine, the fourth century onward, where the church was married to this world system.
paganism was invited into Christianity. Then we have the Thyroid Territory, a picture of the Dark Ages when the Bible was sacrificed for tradition and people no longer went to the Bible and they came under great spiritual darkness and so on. It takes you right down to the Last Church, so the Church of Laodicea, which I believe accurately describes the world in which we live in right now in the Church Age. Then we have the church being raptured out, chapter 4 verse 1.
And then it says, I’ll show you the things which must be hereafter. So it doesn’t belong in the book. It really doesn’t belong in the book. But when you get to chapter 11, we find there is a temple, there are worshipers, and there are two witnesses that will come back. Old Testament prophets. This obviously has not happened, Mark, and they will preach for three and a half years. And when they are killed, they are killed by the Antichrist himself in the streets of Jerusalem, and people worldwide will see their dead bodies lying there in those streets.
The only way that could happen is by satellite today. The only time in history where worldwide people could view those dead bodies as they will party and get drunk and give gifts to one another. It says in Revelation 11, one, these two prophets who will work the plagues again, turn the water to blood and pray that the heavens would not give rain. That didn’t happened prior to 8070. For sure, those things are still future. And so that’s really the explanation.
I wish I had more time, but let me recommend my Revelation series. I have 12 hours of teaching on CD, verse by verse, and it will lay out the plan of salvation. And you’ll see why John does not write about the destruction of the temple in 8070. He’s addressing the church were in the church age but once chapter four occurs the church is gone no longer mentioned in the book of revelation and god goes back to jewish territory and check for eleven you see a temple and you see jewish profits preaching again here on this earth and i know that’s a quick answer but hopefully that helps we have and braidon florida reka calling in open pronouncing your name correctly welcome to bible Good morning, how are you?
Good. My name is Rika and I’m calling from Bradenton and my question is in reference to your last comment when you say that Christ has died for our sin in the past, present and future. I’m originally Jewish from Israel and I do follow Christ and believe in Christ but I have a little problem with your last comment. I do believe that he died for our sin, but I present in future to me when you make such a statement, it’s really opening the door to people to say, okay, I’ll commit a sin.
Jesus died for me, you know, and then we’re never really getting ahead of working, walking in his spirit, walking in his shoes the best we can. Please can you comment on that? All right, sure, we’ll recap. You know, when Jesus died, all of your sins were future, and so were all of mine. You see, you weren’t even born yet, nor was I. And what happened at the cross was he looked down into the future and he saw when you would be born, when you would die, every sin you’d ever committed your whole lifetime, and he paid for all of them.
And he paid for the sins of those that will still yet be born tomorrow, and 10 years from now and 100 years from now, he paid for all of their sins, and obviously they were all future. Every sin has been paid for. That’s why you can receive Rika eternal life at the moment you believe. You see, eternal life has been paid for. If it were not yet paid for, then you would have to wait till after you die for it to be determined whether you can receive it or not.
But because it’s all paid for, the Bible says at the moment of belief that you receive eternal life. In fact, in John 3 16, it says that if you believe that you would have, H-A-V-E is a present tense verb, you possess everlasting life. So if you have everlasting life at the moment of belief, and according to many, many dozens of verses, you do possess it at the moment you trust Christ, then what kind of life would it be tomorrow?
It would still be eternal life, wouldn’t it? How about next week? It would still be eternal life. What about next year? It would still be eternal life. What about a hundred years from now? It’s still the eternal life. What about a billion years from now? It’s still as eternal life. Once you trust Christ, you have eternal life and you are saved forever. Now, this does not lead to a license to sin. And I think that’s what you’re probably alluding to.
The Bible tells us that if you are delinquent as a believer, the Lord will thank you. In Hebrews 12, 6, it says for whom the Lord loves, he chastens and that means disciplines and scourges every son whom he receives. So when you receive into God’s family by the new birth, by trusting Christ as Savior, God becomes your Father, and if you’re delinquent, he’s going to spank you. And he will not allow you to live as you please. If you do not respond to his chasing in your life, his discipline, then he will take you home to have it early.
But he’ll never cast you out, and he’ll never lose you. You are going to be held accountable at a believer’s judgment called the judgment seat of Christ, where all believers will be held accountable for everything they have done since they have been saved, and believers who are not living for Christ will suffer the loss of reward for all eternity. We find the Bible warns against that throughout that you need to be living for Christ and working for Christ here because your works will earn for you rewards in heaven.
But what is interesting about that judgment, Rika, is in 1 Corinthians 3, 15. It says, even if you did nothing for Christ after you were saved, you would still be saved. It says, If any man’s work shall be burned, 1st Corinthians 3, 15, He shall suffer loss, that’s loss of reward, but He Himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire. In other words, you’d still be saved, but you would suffer the loss of reward forever and ever and ever.
So, we don’t have a license of it as we please. I understood fully the very moment I trusted Christ that I had eternal life and I would never be able to lose it. But you know it had the opposite effect of what you’re suggesting. And I found that true for hundreds and hundreds that I have led to Christ that have gone on to serve the Lord. At one point I was sending fifty people a year off to Bible college to train for ministry.
And today they’re all over the world. I have people that are living for Christ serving the Lord in different Christian capacities that are full time. And they understood fully that they were saved forever once they trusted Christ. And in fact, some of the very first people I ever led to Christ. One is a professor at Dallas Theological Seminary at this very moment. One of the very first ones I ever led to Christ. Another young lady I read earlier last week that she got saved at 16.
Today she’s a graphic arts designer at Dallas Theological Seminary who’s been serving out there for about 25 years. for Christ, knowing that nothing that she is doing will save her. She is already saved by Christ’s death, but knowing that she will learn rewards and will be a part of seeing others come to know Christ by her faithful service. While we are coming up on Breaktime, we have to go to Break and we will come back into a second half hour.

If you miss part of a program you’re only getting bits and pieces. I talked to a fellow the other day and he said he listens in his truck as he makes deliveries and he gets bits and pieces but he’s able to go back in the evening and go to the website and listen to the full program and fill in the parts that he misses. I think that’s exciting and we’re so glad that the The Internet is there. Not only are radio, but are TV and also are worship services.
We have 149 countries so far that have logged in on our website. We hope that you’ll do the same. The website is BibleLineMinistries.org.com. We had people come by and visit us last week from Puerto Rico from one fellow born in Macedonia in Europe. We had other people from out of the country actually come by and we’re excited about how that is happening and we hope that you will tell your friends in other countries in other places about how they can listen to Bible and anywhere in the world.
We know we have people listening in the Far East, even the Pacific Islands, the Cook Islands, the McCaw Islands. The country is the continent of Australia and the country of New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and even hits from Beijing. Are you believing that? We’re excited and we hope that you’ll pray with us that God will bless Bible Island as we try to reach out to the world that so desperately needs to hear about Jesus Christ. In any case, if If you would help us out, that would be greatly appreciated.
We really are totally dependent upon our listeners for support. We don’t have any other means. The Bibleline radio is a part of God’s plan. If you would like to help us, it would be great. We can use your help this month of June. All you have to do is call in to our 800 number. Our operators will be glad to send you a notebook with our address on it so you can mail a gift to Bibleline. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and it’s great to be with you this Monday and we’ll be with you all week and I hope you’ll be tuning in. We want to welcome all of our listeners all over the country and welcome especially the new listeners in the northeast part of Florida.

We’d like to know if this program is appreciated or if you don’t like the program, call us and tell us you don’t like the program. But we’d just like to know that you’re listening and we hope that you will give us a call here at Bible and 1-800-576-3771.
In any case, we would like to have you take advantage of our website and maybe pass the word along to friends, relatives in other parts of the country and other parts of the world. Maybe you have family living in another country. We had a family in Germany yesterday watching our worship service on the internet. We know that we have families in Sweden and England watching. Plus during the week we have them from all over the world that go to our radio show as that is on our website.
It’s just very, very, very powerful as a tool to reach out to the world. We know that people are listening when I was in Israel in March. We met folks from southern Nigeria and northern Nigeria that told me as we met them face to face, I’m all the eyeball that they were listening to Bible on the internet in Nigeria. Isn’t that amazing? I thought, wow, is that a coincidence? Or was that a divine appointment that God let me know that we had people listening that that we actually got to meet while we were visiting Israel.
They were also visiting Israel and we got to meet some wonderful folks from Nigeria that were listening to Bible on. I think that’s exciting. Pray for us and if you’d like to help Bible on for the month of June you can send a gift or give one by credit card call or our proposal. We’d be glad to tell you how to do that. We are going to go to our callers and if you would like to call in the numbers 1-800-576-3777 1-800-576-3771.
And we are going to go to Benitra. I hope I’m saying it right in Chester, Virginia. And welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning. Hello, Dr. Hank. How do I pronounce your name? Benitra. Benitra, I got it right. Okay, wonderful. I just had a question concerning ordination services. My mother was ordained yesterday as a minister and the thing is, she’s not a part of this ministry and it’s not a part of this ministry. And I’m just wondering the order of service and how can someone or Daniel, when they don’t even, you know, she just met this person two months ago.
And she’s claiming to be in a hospital and the ministry that she was ordained at. It’s not even her ministry. She is, I guess, over this ministry. She ordained this pastor, this ministry. Well, several things are going on here. First of all, every believer is ordained of God to go out and bring forth fruit. So if you’re a believer, you’re already ordained of God. I don’t know if you’ve heard of the deal of Moody, the great evangelist. The Moody Bible Institute is named after him.
And he led many, many people to Christ. and had a great impact upon our country a little over a hundred years ago. But deal Moody was never formally ordained. And he said that he was ordained of God and that was sufficient. And that’s true that every believer is ordained. But as far as an ordination for a pastor, elder, deacon, and so on, women are, I believe, not to receive that ordination. That is for men only. established in order. If you read 1 Timothy, chapter 2, verses 11 through 15, it tells us that I do not allow for women to teach, nor do you serve authority over the men.
So there we find that women are not to be Bible teachers or preachers, and they are two reasons The first is Adam was created first and then Eve. So for order and structure, God created man first and because he was created first, he was given that spiritual responsibility. Throughout the Old Testament, you find that the man was the, to be the spiritual leader in the home. That doesn’t mean he’s a dictator, but it means he is the spiritual leader.
And you know, as you read through the Bible, you see illustrations of that. Mary and Joseph had the baby Jesus and Herod was about to kill Jesus as a baby. You find that God spoke not to Mary, but he spoke to Joseph and he said, Joseph, take your wife and the baby Jesus down to Egypt until the death of Herod because he’s seeking to kill the baby. So he led the family not through Mary. is so elevated today in some circles that you would think that everything took place through Mary, but really God led the family through Joseph.
Secondly, it says that Adam was not deceived, but Eve was deceived. So we know something there because men and women are created differently. That women are more easily deceived in spiritual matters. And so I think that’s a second reason why God does not want women preaching and teaching. That is obviously because they have a tendency to think emotionally. Many cults have been started by women and guess what? They think emotionally. LNG White said, I just can’t imagine a God that would send anybody to hell and so the seven Adventists to this day denied that there’s a hell because of LNG White.
The Christian scientists, Mary Baker, and he said, I just can’t accept a God who would send people to hell and so she denied hell and the Christian scientists, they don’t believe in hell. And it’s basically women thinking emotionally whereas men think more factually and so God never intended for that to happen. So I think this lady, and I don’t think anybody should be calling themselves an apostle today and I think that that is also terribly wrong. only 12 and there are no apostles today.
The gift of apostleship, spoken of in Ephesians 4, has ceased. And once the last of those apostles died, there have been no more apostles ever since. And so I think that basically she’s coming from a wrong direction spiritually and biblically and is imparting that wrongness right on down to those that she’s trying to ordain. So I would say that this is wrong. Yes, I agree. And that’s what I wanted more clarity on it because sitting there in the service and just, you know, listening to her going on about how this is going to take place and then seeing it is like something is not right.
And it’s a lot of false prophets coming up in these landfays. Right? Is that correct? You’re absolutely correct. bany tree and i hope that you can maybe talk to your mom about that and i was thinking so much that you’re welcome and thanks for listening in chester virginia bany trap and what a pretty name as the first of her that name we have an offer your question uh… d uh… calls in from st peterburg says that it is is heard that the jackson will please department will put chips on all the police force I’m sure you’re talking about maybe the officers.
Can you comment on the chip? Revelation 1316. Well, I don’t know what their plans are, but I know in the military they’ve already chipped some of our soldiers. And it allows for a number of things. GPS tracking, they can know exactly where you are. They advertise that you can have your children chipped. And if someone were to kidnap them, they could find them and so on. So there are pluses. and minuses. Of course, you lose an element of your privacy as these chips will track where you are and what you’re doing.
And by the way to a degree right now your cell phones do that, they can find out where you are by tracking where your cell phone is right now. So I don’t know what the Jacksonville Police Department is doing, but I think this is the prelude to the mark of the beast that we read about in Revelation 1316. Absolutely. I wouldn’t worry so much about it now because we believers in this age are going to be raptured out at the rapture and the church will not be here during that seven years that will follow and it won’t be until three and a half years into the tribulation period that the Antichrist will rise the power where he will declare everyone must receive his mark which is this chip or this means of identification and tracking and controlling buying and selling.
And I think that the chip is probably the answer to what that is. Thank you for that question and we’re now going to go to Mr. Anonymous and he’s calling in from Tampa, Florida, comment on the pre-trib rapture versus the post-trib rapture. The tribulation period is really not for us the church. The church is the body of Christ, begun at Pentecost and will conclude at the Rapture. The tribulation period is called a time of Jacob’s trouble. It has to do with Israel.
And isn’t it interesting at this time? Israel is back in the land and aren’t they going through a lot of trouble? Just read the news every day and while. This is only the beginning. Once the Rapture happens, Israel will really go through some very difficult times. This is God preparing Israel for their King Jesus to come back and establish them as the head nation on the earth and bring peace on earth good will toward men for a thousand year earthly reign.
So for those who believe in a post-tribulation of Rapture believe that we have to go through the tribulation. We the church are the bride of Christ, why would Jesus drag his bride through this period of tribulation? We don’t belong there at all, and we’re not going to be there. We’re leaving at the Rapture. I love 1 Thessalonians 1-10. It tells us very plainly that we’re to wait for His Son from heaven, which delivered us from the wrath which is to come.
So we’re not to wait for tribulation. If the tribulation period happened first, and then the Rapture after, then it would tell us plainly, I would think in Scripture, to wait for tribulation. and then Jesus will come and deliver us at the end of it. It doesn’t say that. It says in 1st Thessalonians 1-10, we’re to wait for his son from heaven, which has delivered us from the wrath, which is to come. I believe in the context of that book that the wrath there is the tribulation period.
We’ve been delivered from it. We’ll be raptured out if we’re living when Jesus returns the snatches out. Mr. Anonymous, I sure hope that helps. That’s just a little bit. But again, I have a number of teachings on CD. I have 12 hours on the Rapture in all the different positions. Pre-Trib, Post-Trib, Mid-Trib, Partial-Trib, Pre-Rath, and on and on and on. There’s a lot of isms and asms and spasms out there. Let me tell you enough to get you’re really confused.
And I believe if you got my 12 hours of teaching on the Rapture, it would really sift through all the verses that people are using to support these positions and let you know assuredly that we’re not going to go through one second of the tribulation period. Jim in St. Petersburg calls in with an offer of question. He says, is there a difference between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven? And the answer, Jim, is yes. The Kingdom of God is all inclusive of everything that is under God’s authority.
whole universe. Everything is inclusive in the phrase Kingdom of God. But the Kingdom of Heaven literally means the Kingdom of the heavens. It’s referring to the Millennial reign, the Thousand Year Kingdom that Christ will establish here on the earth, where he will rule from Jerusalem as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and bring peace on this earth for a thousand years. So it’s called the Kingdom of the heavens. Daniel spoke about it, where in the days of the ten toes of the image of Daniel, that God of heaven would set up a kingdom.
The Lord’s Prayer is a prayer about that kingdom. It says our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come. It’s a prayer for this future kingdom on earth. And it says thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. That has not happened yet. But during that thousand year reign of Christ, God is the Lord of the Lord. thousand year reign of Christ, God’s will will be done on heaven as it is, will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
And that’s the promise. It will be a wonderful time of peace on earth, good will toward men. Thank you, Jim. And I hope that helps answer the question. We have Aaron in Dade City, off air, leaving this question in 1 John 5 7. It shows where the early church could have added to the Holy Scriptures. How can we be sure the word is true? Well, there’s a lot more verses than that that certainly support the fact that there’s a trinity.
Dozens and dozens of verses, you cannot escape the fact that the Bible talks about that God is a triune unity, that there are three eternal members of the Godhead, God the eternal Father, God the eternal Spirit, and God the eternal Son, and all three are one person. But I believe when they point out that the best manuscripts do not support this in 1 John 5, 7, you have to ask yourself what are they talking about? They do not tell you.
But the best manuscripts are the two that are in the custodial care of the Roman Catholic Church. The Sinaiticus and the Vaticanus manuscripts have really never been released out to the world to see. They’ve been given copies, but nobody’s able to touch a mercy. So I don’t know that I trust the custodial care of the Roman Catholic Church, and these supposedly are the best manuscripts. I don’t think so. Obviously, I think that most manuscripts carry that verse, so I would lend to keeping it.
But you don’t need it. That’s the wonderful thing about the Bible. The cults absolutely work at removing truth from the Bible. But even as bad as the new world translation is, which the Joel’s Witnesses have come out with, in the new world translation, as much as they try to remove truth. You can still show the Joel’s Witnesses that they’re wrong because they haven’t been able to get rid of all of it. Isn’t that wonderful? And by the way, they cheat.
I have in my possession just a few feet away from me. A 1942 edition of the Infantic Diaglott, the supposed Greek translation that the Joe’s Witnesses rely upon. And in that 1942 edition, it doesn’t have the article A in John 1-1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was in their Bible. They say, A God, and they make Jesus a created being who had a beginning, and this is of course his heresy.
But I have one of the old editions, just a few feet away, where they had not added the article A yet. They are sneaky, they are tricky, they are deceitful, and I believe that if you do your homework you’ll find out that they cleverly tried to change the truth in God’s Word. But my old edition shows that they’ve added that article A since 1942. Interesting. Anyway, thank you for that call and I wouldn’t lose a lot of sleep over the loss of that one verse because again the word of God is clear.
If you read the book of Revelation in the first chapter, the whole book of Revelation is introduced by the three members of the Godhead. You have God the Father, you have God the Son and God the Holy Spirit as the ones that are transmitting that message to you and me, just read the first several verses and you will see that. So everywhere you go, you see this wonderful trinity presented and of course then you go to the last chapter and there you have again the Godhead all there in those last verses, you have the Holy Spirit giving the invitation, you have Jesus obviously telling us he’s coming back and you have God the Father.
They’re all throughout the whole Bible. All right we have now Nancy in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She leaves us off her question. Was the earth here before it was inhabited by humans? Was it re-inhabited by Adam and Eve? And the answer is I believe yes. In Genesis 1-1, God created the earth originally, perfect and inhabited. You know God doesn’t create things partially or imperfect. He creates some perfect. Even the animals. You know, if you didn’t have a perfect completed being, they couldn’t survive.
Think about it. What would happen to the poor ant eater if his skills and being able to take his tongue and go down to an ant hill and get those ants out, he would have died out before his tongue developed. and the other animals that have skills and techniques to hunt their food and take care of their families and so on, they have to be fully developed or they would have never survived. And certainly that’s true. But we believe that there was animal life, plant life and dinosaurs on the original earth.
And NASA says that all life on this planet was destroyed 65 million years ago when an When asteroid struck the area of the Yukonam Peninsula in the Gulf of Mexico and had a diameter of about 150 miles, take a look at that round area in the Gulf on your maps Belichick. And that’s apparently where they struck it. They say so much debris was cast up from the surface of the earth into the atmosphere that the sun’s light was cut off for millions of years.
All life that breathed air died. And it wasn’t until about 6,000 years ago, it says in Genesis 1-2 that the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. That word move there means to incubate or brood. It speaks of a bird sitting on the nest and keeping the eggs warm. Perhaps the Holy Spirit warmed up the earth, thaw it out from the ice ages which we know were here, and made the earth suitable for life again. And this time in seven days puts man on the planet.
So absolutely I believe the earth had life on it. And I believe the fossils that we have today are the evidence of that. Coal is the fossils of plant life. Petroleum is the fossils of animal life. And that’s our fossil fuel that we’re burning in our gas, in our cars. And this is a part of that original earth. I hope that helps a little bit. I have some CDs on this topic. I think you’ll find them interesting as we go through a discussion throughout the Bible on that particular topic.
Certainly, there is no evolution. I believe that God created man out of the dust of the ground and breathed in his nostrils the breath of life. Jonathan, in Richmond, Virginia, calls in with an all-fair question and he says, Why is the unpardonable sin called the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit instead of the blasphemy against Jesus Christ? Well, the reason why is if you read the passage in Mark’s Gospel chapter 3, Christ had healed a man and Christ in his earthly ministry healed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The religious leaders couldn’t deny the healing. It was too remarkable. And so they said he heals, but he does it by the power of Satan. So it was truly a rejection of Christ and you are right, but they called it the Christ called it the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit because they were attributing that the works that Christ did were Satan’s power, not by the Holy Spirit. So if you read verse 29 of Mark 3, it says that every blasphemy shall be forgiven under of the sons of men and so on, except those that would blast them against the Holy Spirit, their endanger of eternal damnation, and they will never be forgiven.
It’s talking about if you die, of course, as an unbeliever. Verse 30 tells us the answer, why? Because they said, mark 330, mark it down, because they said he Christ hath an unclean spirit. So it was to reject Christ being the Messiah, the Savior, the one the prophets spoke about would come. That they said He was an imposter, a fraud, a counterfeit, healing, yes, but not by the Holy Spirit, but by Satan’s Spirit. Check that in Mark 3, one of the clear passages that really reveals the answer, verse 30.
They said that Christ healed by the power of Satan, not by the Holy Spirit. That’s to reject Christ. But if you die without Christ, my friend, you’ll be lost for all eternity. We have an anonymous in Florida somewhere calling in and leaving this question. Where can you prove that we are taking up before the rapture? Everywhere in Matthew, Mark and Luke it says we’re going to go through the true relation before Christ returns. Anonymous, apparently you haven’t learned how to rightly divide the Word of God.
There is no Rapture in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. And that’s because it’s talking to the Jews. And the Jews will go through the tribulation period. And it’s not until later when the church began that we have the epistles. where God explains his plan for the church. The church will be raptured out and then the tribulation period will be underway and the Jewish people will have to go through the tribulation period and many will come to know Christ as Savior and many will not trust the Lord as our Savior but those who endure to the end of it shall be saved to enter into that thousand year reign of Christ.
So you have part of it right. Yes, there are those who will go through the tribulation period. Those are the Jewish people and those Gentiles that are left behind at the rapture. But the church will be raptured out and not go through the tribulation. So if you’re looking in Matthew, Mark and Luke for the rapture, you won’t find it. It’s not there. It’s not in the Old Testament. This was a mystery, the Bible says, something not previously revealed. I am afraid that we are at the end of the program and will have to say thank you to all of you that call today for the many offer questions we got through a bunch of them today.
We will be back tomorrow and I hope you will join me for the rest of the week and also go to the internet and catch these programs again and again and again. I hope everyone is trusted in Jesus as their only hope of heaven believing that Christ’s death and shed blood alone could pay for their salvation and give them the gift of eternal life. you’ll go to the internet and check out this program again and again. Also, join us again tomorrow as we come back to you live.
And hopefully you’ll have a great day. God bless you and keep looking up because Jesus is coming and we believe very soon. Thanks again for tuning in and I hope you’ll pray for us here by the line. And also we want you to know that we’re listeners supported. If you could help us this month of June, that would be wonderful. You know, the only way we are able to pay the bills and be on the air and do what we do. And we really are a miracle because we shouldn’t be on the air at all. This program started as a 15-minute program.
We didn’t have the money to start off with that 15-minute program. And as I prayed about it after several weeks and it looked like I was going to have to say no. I was sitting at my desk and looking out the window and a man drove up and I hadn’t seen him for years. He walked in and he handed me a check and we chatted. He said, aren’t you going to look at that check? I felt that you had a need and this is to be used however you want to use it.
And I looked at it. I was embarrassed to just go grab the check and look at it. But I looked at it. It was $30,000. And I said, oh, you don’t know how I’ve been sitting here praying for an answer. And with that $30,000, we started this program. And that was God saying, go and get on the air. And then it grew into a half hour, then it grew into an hour, and then it grew outside of Tampa. And now it’s grown out to be on the internet all over the world and in many stations across America.
And it was because of God answering prayer through one individual. Maybe you can give just a little bit, maybe like the widow’s might, but every gift counts.
