amazing how much Bible you will learn and how the Bible will come alive as you actually step on the very soil where so many biblical events have taken place. We’ll go to Calvary, we’ll go to the Tomb of Christ, we’ll go to Galilee and we’ll go to the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea and we’ll see so many things. We’re going to go up to the top of the Mount of Transfiguration where Christ was transfigured and seen as he would be in the Second Coming.

Gorgeous place to look over the whole Jordan Valley and the Sea of Galilee. I think you will really benefit if you want to go. That’s February 25th, a Monday, and returning on March 7th, a Friday. We’d love to have you on board with us on that trip. And a lot of things in our resource center that we are trying to promote as we approach Christmas. You might want to get as a Christmas gift. We have some of the sets which we don’t normally talk about.

We have the five volume Zandervin pictorial encyclopedia. Not dictionary, but in cyclopedia. Zarnabans, pictorial Bible, encyclopedia. Five volumes, weighs 18 pounds. These are big thick volumes. And that normally sells for about 200. We have it on special for 110, a gift to Bibleline. We also have Lewisbury Shafers, systematic theology. Originally, eight volumes. They have been now reprinted in four volumes. You get all eight volumes in those four. And that usually sells for 180, and we have it also for a special of 110, a gift to Bible and.

Plus, go fill Bibles and all the other things. We have tracks in Spanish as well as English. We have the evangelism handbook in English and Spanish. And we have lots of wonderful things you can see on the online bookstore, on the Internet, if you go to BibleLineMinistries.org, you click on the online bookstore, and you’ll see all those things. Plus you can of course come by during the week if you’re in the Tampa Bay area and we’re open to about 430 everyday Monday through Friday except we will not be open on Thanksgiving day.

We are glad that you are listening today and thank you for being a part of the program. I hope you’re telling your friends about the program as well. Let’s turn to the Bible. Second Corinthians 8 is a wonderful place. I’d like to have you go with me. And this is in the chapter 9, 2 Corinthians, chapter 9. And in verse 15 it says, Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. And as we think about thanksgiving, the greatest giver is God himself who has given us life and given us our talents, our abilities.

Everything we have really has come from God. as a believer, we have received his gift of everlasting life. It says here, thanks, man, to God for his unspeakable gift. Words just don’t describe the gift that God has offered. In Timothy, it talks about this message being the glorious gospel. Glorious gospel. This is a good news message directly from God to you and to me that he loved us and he He gave his son a Calvary to die and shed his blood so that all of us in the human race that would receive him as Savior would become forgiven, become his children, and live forever and ever and ever.

That’s no doubt the best news you ever going to hear or I will ever hear. And it says here it’s an unspeakable gift. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable. And then of course it says gift. is always without exception, described in the Bible as a gift. Some people talk about earning eternal life and gaining it as a reward at the end of their life. For that is so bad, so wrong, so unscriptural, because you’ll never find salvation described as a reward, which is basically something that you earn.

It is always a gift, something that was purchased by someone else, that person being God himself, and then offered to us free because he loved us for God, so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. In any case, I hope you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and certainly at the top of our list of giving thanks, we need to give thanks unto God for his unspeakable gift. Where is that found? Second Corinthians chapter 9 verse 15.

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. And by the way, we should be thankful not just at Thanksgiving, but all year long. You know in 1 Thessalonians 5, here’s a wonderful verse and it tells us in verse 18 of 1 Thessalonians 5, in everything, give thanks. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. That’s right in everything, give thanks. For this is God’s will. In Christ Jesus concerning you. Not too many verses that really come out and say something is the will of God.

But here is one of those references and it tells us that in everything we are to give thanks. This is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you and me. It also tells us of course it is God’s will that once you become saved that he will never lose you. In John 639 it says, This is the Father’s will. of all of which you have given me, Christ says, I should lose none or nothing. But raise them up again at the last day.

So it’s the will of God that no one become lost ever once they become saved and once you’re saved, you are saved forever. We’re going to go ahead and go to the phone lines in just a moment here. I’m Dr. Anker, and this is my blind, and we’re excited about being with you. I hope you’ll think about going to Israel with this February 25th the weather will be wonderful. The trip ought to be wonderful. We’re going to fly with L.L.

the Israeli airline. You never hear of a problem. We expect to be very safe. We were there in March of this year and we never even heard so much as a car backfire. We felt so safe and we had a marvelous time and really we saw so much, but there is so much to see. Can you imagine? Hold your Bible there and flip through it. All the wonderful stories of the Bible took place in this land that we’re talking about.

A few things happen now, I need you. But otherwise, this is a book that talks about events that took place in the land that we’re going to go visit. You will just never be the same if you go. I hope you’ll go with me. That’s coming up. Also, if you would write down our 800 number, you can call us anytime of day. And that’s 1-800-576-3771. And if you want to get on the air right now, call that number and we’ll get you up on here with us if you’d like to ask a question.

We’ll try to do that. We have here a number of offer questions. I think we’re just going to jump in and grab a few of these. We have Kathy in parish Florida and she says in Psalm 139 16 does this verse support everyone’s name being in the book of life to begin with. Alright, I’m turning there right now, Kathy, and we’ll take a look at that verse and then we’ll see and answer your question. Psalm 139, of course, is a wonderful psalm, one of my favorites for sure.

But it says in verse 16, 9, eyes did see my substance, speaking of God’s eyes, yet being imperfect. In the book of all my members were in thy book, all my members were written. I believe that’s exactly a reference to that. Every person, as we were formed in the womb from conception when I believe life began for us, that our names are written in the book, My book, God’s book. So good one, good one, Kathy, I like that. That’s a great verse that we also support.

Everybody’s name is in a book to begin with, and if you become a believer during your life, God makes a promise in Revelation 3.5 that he will not blot your name out of the book of life. But if you die as an unbeliever, your name will be stricken at death, and when you stand before the Lord at the great white throne judgment at the end of the Millennial Kingdom, Your name will not be found when they look in the book because if you die as an unbeliever your name is erased.

It’s blotted out. Revelation 22, 18 and 19 talks about those who and or subtract from the message in the Bible about Christ, in particular the book of Revelation. It mentions there that your name will be taken out of the book. That’s unbelievers. It’s people who reject the message as it’s given in the Bible and try to change it by adding or subtracting. And obviously they will have their name come out of the book and they will not enter into heaven.

We’re going to go to Virginia right now. We have Pat on the air with us and Pat, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air on the Bible and program. Yes, Pat. Pat, how are you? Good, Pat. That’s good. I’m telling you, I want to ask a question about 1 Corinthians 12, 13. I don’t understand what it means to be baptized into one body. Is that talking about water baptism? Nope, not at all. If you read the context there, it’s talking about the body of Christ.

And we are placed into that body by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. If you read verse 27, it tells you the result of being placed in the Christ body by the baptism and Holy Spirit. It says, now you, Pat and me, Hank, we are members of the body of Christ. We are the body of Christ and members in particular according to verse 27. That happens right at the moment you believe and the Holy Spirit takes you and me at the moment of belief and places us into Christ’s body.

This is called the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Okay, well thank you so much and I love your ministry. God bless you. Well thank you Pat and keep listening up there in Virginia. And we are gonna go to another off here question. Here we have Saul in Bradenton, Florida. And he says you were reading the story on the rich man in Lazarus the other day. If you… Luke 1629 is this right. Let me turn here and take a look at that verse, Saul.

In Luke 16, this is a wonderful chapter that tells us about two real persons. One believer, Lazarus the beggar, and an unbeliever, the rich man. man and they both die shortly one after the other and the rich man finds himself in Hades in the heart of the earth and flame in torment and Lazarus the believer finds himself in a place of comfort or paradise. Price went down there and emptied the place out and took them all up to heaven so we know that the believers are no longer in the heart of the earth but paradise is now in heaven itself but the lost are still in the heart of the earth in this place of torment.

Well let’s see you were mentioning verse 29, let me read it. Abraham saith unto him, they have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them. And yes, that’s how you get saved. Abraham says to the rich man who was lost about the five brothers of the rich man who were still living upon the earth as he became concerned about evangelism and one of them to become saved. God or Abraham is telling him they have the Bible. They have the Bible.

And of course that was the Old Testament Scriptures. The New Testament yet was not written. But the Old Testament contains lots of verses about Jesus. There are about 330 prophecies of the first coming of Christ telling us he’d be born in Bethlehem, born in the word of a virgin, and how he would die by crucifixion. All these things are told long before he ever came. So yes, that is the way to be saved. To read the Bible and see what it says about Christ, and we find that Abraham himself believed the Scriptures, believed what God told him.

And in Genesis 15.6 it says Abraham believed God. And it was coming to him for righteousness. What did he believe? He believed the story about the coming Savior, the seed that would come of his lineage. Jesus Christ would be God who would take on Jewish flesh. Abraham believed that message and Abraham was made righteous by so doing. He was saved by faith without works and this is not interesting and in the light of so many churches are teaching works for salvation and are not teaching the message of faith and grace.

We have Arthur down in Belgrade, Florida and Arthur, welcome to Bibleline. Yes, how are you doing, Pastor? You know we’re going to be on the air beginning next Monday. We’ll be on the air in Miami. probably here at Inville Glade, it’s WLCU 1080 on the dial at 10 o’clock in the morning. So keep that in mind if you want to try to see if you can get that signal in Belg Lane. My question is in John 5 13 18, James 5 13 28.

Do you see something to believe in? Yes he is. He says my brethren throughout the entire book and he does that here as well. In verse 19 for example he says, brother if any of you, one of you, hearer from the truth, and one convert him. That’s talking about not getting somebody saved, but getting somebody back on track that is aired as a Christian. And so he’s talking about believers here and about behavior among believers. And if someone has committed sins against the body of Christ, the Lord might chasten him and the only way he is going to be healed is if he calls for the elders and he confesses his faults to the others he has offended that God would heal him.

But it is not talking about a healing meeting. It is talking about where God disciplines a delinquent believer and they become ill as a result. First Corinthians 11-30 says for this cause many of you are weak and sickly and many of you are dead. And so here’s talking about restoring fallen Christians, but they can’t fall from salvation, but they can come under God’s judgment, which would mean chastisement, and they can suffer the loss of reward, and they can depart off away from the Scriptures in error.

That means that they’re in error, E-R-R-O-R, and he’s talking to those. Okay, so this is not talking about a physical sickness. This is talking about a sickness of sin. Well, no, it’s a physical sickness, but it says, notice, and when they call for the elders, they are noticed to ask the elders to come to them and pray over them. and it says in the prayer of faith, she’ll save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up. That’s from whatever ailment or illness it is.

And if you have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. And he’s talking here about sins that have caused this chastisement, this illness. That’s the result of a judgment of God upon them. And it says here that then they should obviously confess their faults one to another. And pray for one another that you may be healed. you may be healed. This is talking about healing within the body of Christ and those who have created division and have been divisive within the congregation, the Lord might chase them and the only remedy is for them to make it right.

Okay. Alright, thank you, Father. Alright, thank you, Arthur, for calling in. We’re now going to another Question Kathy in parish Florida calls in she leaves this offer a question in Matthew 20 in the parable of the Labors in the vineyard please explain the meaning what is interesting here is that we find that just prior to that we have a little battle going on between the different disciples as to who would be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And they all wanted to be the, I guess, the top dog.

And we find here in chapter 20, it talks here about a labor situation where a man has a need of laborers and he offers to pay a penny a day, which was the word the Nariai, which means a full day’s wage for growing out into the labor field. And he goes out there at 6 in the morning and he engages some people and they agree and they decide that they will work all day for that price. And then he needs more laborers and he goes out at 9 o’clock in the morning and at noon and at the ninth hour and he gets more laborers and he promises to pay them a full day’s wage for working.

And then there are some folks that came out at the 11th hour and he hires them also. But you’ll find that the earlier ones had actually entered into a contract with the employer here as to what they’d be paid for their day’s labor. Whereas when you get to these last ones, it says here, and those that came at the very He says, go into the vineyard and whatsoever is right that shall you receive. So he left it open ended and they just went out there and trusted that they would get paid appropriately for whatever work they did.

Well, what is interesting? It says here that those that were hired at the 11th hour received every man a penny as he paid them first. And that was, of course, again a full day’s wage. So the people that worked earlier in the day and worked hard all day long thought wow if he paid them for one hours work a Full day’s wage. What are we gonna get are we if we’ve worked 12 hours in the hot Sun? Are we gonna get 12 days wages?

And of course they only got one day’s wage as well and they were complaining and they weren’t unhappy and he says look You got exactly what you contracted for what I believe it’s saying here If you make deals with God and you say, I’m going to do such and such if you do such and such for me, that might be what he will give you, but it might be all that he’ll give you. If you’re willing, like those last day laborers to say, Lord, whatever you think is right, I’m going to take it from you, you reward me as you see fit.

Well, that was the attitude of those last ones, and they got a full day’s wage for just one hour’s work. So I think you’re going to get more if you’re not so concerned about what you’re going to get but you’re more concerned about doing a good job and God will reward you accordingly. So Kathy I believe it’s really a lesson here is that we don’t really want to cut any contracts with God. We want to freely serve Him from the heart and God will give us what He believes we should have or worthy of and I think we’re going to come out with a much better deal.

If we just don’t say, all right, Lord, if I serve you, this is what I want you to give me in return. You might sell yourself short. And that’s exactly what these guys did who contracted early in the morning for a day’s wage, for a full day’s work out in the hot sun. And these guys that came along didn’t enter into a contract. They just accepted that whatever the boss thought was right, that they would be paid fairly and he paid them a full day’s wage just for that one hour.

So I think I’d rather be in that that letter category. How about you, Kathy and Parrish for thank you for calling in. Again, this is Bible and it’s Monday and we’re excited about being with you. We’re going to go to Israel. Take a look at my website. You’ll see the entire brochure. We can have one mailed to you. Beautiful color brochure. Go to the home page. I don’t think it’s an 800 number. You can call the number there for QR travel and you can get your deposit in and get going. You’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving, hopefully with family and friends. And hopefully you’ll have a safe and wonderful holiday. And don’t forget to give thanks unto God. We covered a verse a moment ago, 2 Corinthians 915.

Thanks again to God for His unspeakable gift. No doubt about the gift of Christ, the gift of eternal life, is the most incredible gift that words do not describe the grander of that gift of eternal life and of Christ, that all those that receive Him by faith would be forgiven of their sin and receive the gift of eternal life. Thanks for tuning in today and again. We are listeners supported. We definitely need our listeners to help us to be on the air, to continue where we are on the air.

You could be a great help. Would you consider a Thanksgiving? Give me a gift. Maybe in Thanksgiving to the Lord to Bible on. You could do that by phone and give it by credit card. You can also call and ask for an envelope to be sent. And you can give a gift by credit card or mail that gift in by the envelope. We’ll send you with our address on it. And we hope you of course take a look at our bookstore.

As Christmas is coming you might want to get some things and some of the things that we have will be savings for you. As we have the two specials that we mentioned today, the Zondervin pictorial bible in Cyclopedia for a gift of 110, that’s about almost a 50% savings and also the Lewis-Barry Shafer Systematic Theology. Again, a wonderful set. These are for the serious student and then of course we have lots of other things in resource center that will help the average person who is studying the Bible.

We hope that you will take advantage. Also, don’t forget to tune us in every day this week as the Bible will continue. We will probably have a best of on Thursday Thanksgiving Day, but otherwise we are going to be here all week long and of course on the internet anytime you would like to go there. If you have questions, you can call in and get up on the air or leave them off here. Or you can click on the spinning globe on our website and there’s a place already set up on the page that will come up where you can type in your question and just hit submit and we’ll get it and we’ll put it up on the air and try to answer that.

Again, it’s a joy to be with you and we thank God for all of you and I want to thank you advance for your gifts and your prayers. For Bibleline every day we certainly appreciate every one of you our listeners. We’re going to now return to stations that have been on break and do the second half hour of Bibleline. So keep your radio right where it is.

Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Hank Lynch from Alright, we’re back from that break. This is Bibleline. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church from the pastor. We look forward to being with you on the air every day Monday through Friday live out of Tampa. And we also look forward to being with you on the internet at any time of day for many places in the world.

We have 151 countries that have logged on and we hope that you will tell your friends in other countries how they too can log on to the Bible and program. You will help us expand our audience. And we’re just amazed at what God has done and is doing. When we were in Israel in March of this year, we ran into a wonderful group of Nigerians that had come to visit the Holy Land. And we invited them to come to our Bible study that I had in our hotel.

And a bunch of them came and one of them stood up and he explained how he listened to Bibleline in Nigeria. Isn’t that exciting? I was so amazed. I said, how can this be? Lord, I’ve traveled all the way from Florida to Israel. This gentleman travels all the way from Nigeria and we have this connection that he listens to our programs in Nigeria. Well, we know that people around the world are logging in and we hope that you’ll take advantage of that if you have friends, missionaries, relatives.

We sure like to have you pass along to your missionary friends that they can tune into the Bible and program wherever they are in the world. Most missionaries now have computers and have internet access and that’s how they really communicate with the outside world. It’s no longer the days like it was in the past where they had a generator and they had their short shortwave radio and they communicated by shortwave now they are Communicating over the internet like everybody else.

That’s exciting. Well in any case we’re going to Israel on February 5th 2008 and that’s a Monday. We’ll come back on March 7th That’s a Friday and we’d love to have you go on a strip number 15 for me and we’re going to have a marvelous time We got some exciting things planned that are different than the trip we did took in March although we’ll see the major things we’re gonna do some special things and I think you’ll really enjoy it.

We’re gonna have a wonderful time on the Dead Sea this time and Spending more time there you’ll visit in Getty where David went you’ll see the waterfalls there the wild animals of biblical times that still roam free there on those desert mountains. You’ll see Masada riding up in a cable car to the top where you see the last holdout of the Jews in AD 73 when the Romans finally conquered all of Israel and the Jewish people were either killed or dispersed out to the nations of the world and prophecy was fulfilled.

They were seeing the Jewish people go back to that very land. We also of course will see the Sea of Galilee, we will see Calvary, the Tomb of Christ, so many things. It will make the Bible live for you and if you want to go to my website, go to Bible line news, click on that and you will see some information about the trip and where to call and then it will say Israel trip brochure, click on that link and you will see the four page color brochure come up and everything you need to know.

But if you have trouble, call us and we’ll try to guide you through that or tell you how you can sign up. But I recommend you sign up early because there is a $100 off of the price right now up until December 11th and it goes up $100 and we want you to get in on that savings. So please do respond as quickly as you can. If you want a color brochure to be mailed to you, you can do that by calling the number of QR travel which is on that.

If you go there on your website to Bibleline Ministries and on the homepage, click on Bibleline News. You’ll find it comes up right there and it’s on the brochure I believe as well. Call them and they’ll set everything up for you. Tell them you’re going on the Bibleline tour with Dr. Hank Lindstrom and they will set everything up for you. All right. We’re going to go to the phone lines and also to offer questions. We invite you to call us at 1-800-576-3771.

Susan and Largo calls in with this offer of questions. She says, do you think Goliath was killed with a stone or by the beheading with a sword? I think the stone killed him. The Bible, I don’t think, tells us. But David then did take his sword and cut off the head of life. I think he was killed by the stone. By the way, in March of this year when we were in Israel, we went to that brook where David got his stones and every one of us collected a stone to take home and memory of that incredible story and that wonderful event that we believe is a true story.

It really did happen. What is interesting, Susan, is that he picked up five stones and people have wondered why did he pick up five stones? Did he believe he’d have to reload and maybe it’d be the fifth stone that he’d actually killed the life with? And the answer is that the lion had four brothers. So apparently Dave was a pretty good shot. He planned to take out five giants with five stones. That’s pretty good shooting, I would say. So in any case, I think that’s the reason why he picked up five stones and we had a wonderful life.

I just thought it was so exciting to walk in that creek bed and know that David had walked in that creek bed somewhere along in there and then picked up the five stones that he used and our guide had brought along the slingshot. Some of our guys tried that and they were terrible shots. I got down on the ground. I was afraid to going to hit me. Those stones went anywhere to 360 degrees circle. We had some dangerous slingshotters in our group.

So we’re teasing, of course, but we, David was obviously a skilled person with his slingshot and took out, I think, life with one stone. Thank you, Susan, for calling in. We now have Ellen in Tampa, Florida, and she calls in with this offer a question. She says, do you believe the Antichrist is alive today? The answer is, I believe, yes. I think we’re very close to the Rapture, and that means that the Antichrist will be an an adult during the tribulation period following the Rapture, so therefore he must be alive today.

Do you think the year 2012 is when the Rapture will occur? I have really no date in mind. I just, it could be this coming year. You know, we’re very close. The things I see in the news and the rapidness of the acceleration of evil and things in this world make it really scary. I think we’re getting very close and I’m looking all the time for the Lord to come back. Ellen, I don’t know, but truly I don’t think it’s going to be too far out there in the future.

I think we’re very close. So the Antichrist, I do believe, is probably alive today. We have Peter in Palm Harbor, Florida. Peter says, get it off to our question in regard to Revelation 13, 3, the beast of the sea. the wounding of its head and then its healing. Well, it talks here about this beast and I’m going to turn there to Revelation 13 and we’ll just take a look at this passage for a moment. But it really is talking here, I believe, about the seven heads of this beast.

Let me see, as we begin here in verse 1, I stood upon the sand of the sea. I believe that is the Mediterranean Sea, as John himself was on the island of Patmos in the Mediterranean Sea as he writes this letter, the book of Revelation, and received this revelation from God. It says, rise up out of the sea, which is out of the Mediterranean area, having seven heads. And of course, that is what we’re going to focus on. It says, the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard and his feet were like unto a feet of a bitter and the mouth as the mouth of a lion and the dragon or Satan gave him his power and his seat in great authority.

It’s an illusion I think, bye. The fact that these different beasts in Daniel picture different Gentile world-ruling powers. The lion in Daniel represented Babylon. The bear represented the meadow Persians and the leopard represented Greece and the swiftness. And the in-time beast that rises up out of the Mediterranean area will be one that will encompass all of these qualities of those great empires of the past. And it says, it saw one of its heads as it were wounded to death.

And that, of course, is, I think, talking about a political wound where one of the heads seemingly died and then came back to life. Now let’s go over to Revelation chapter 17 and look at what it says here about the seven heads. The seven heads are, and it tells us they represent seven mountains or seven hills upon in which the city is built that is the head of the world religion of the last days, the end time church which we believe is Rome.

But then it also says, and they represent seven kings or kingdoms. John tells us here in the book, or relation chapter 17, verse 10, five are fallen and one is. We know one is referring to the Roman Empire that was existing at the time when John wrote the book of Revelation. So the five that were fallen were, if you go back to Genesis, you can begin all the way back with Egypt being number one, Assyria being number two, Babylon being number three, the Medo-Persian Empire being number four, and the Grecian Empire being number five.

And then John was living during the Roman Empire, that was number six. And we find that Rome, it appears to have died, but comes back to life in this seventh form, which is the reign of which the Antichrist will come out of. And so we are living in that time. And so one of the heads, it seemed like, has come back to life. Rome has been revived in a sense that there is a European common market and the countries of ancient Rome have come back together.

Daniel tells us about an 11th nation that would be spawned or birthed by Europe that would become the head and stronger than, although younger than, Europe and I believe that’s the United States. So I believe the Antichrist will come out of this country. I hope that it helps a little bit, Peter, and you might want to get my Revelation series. I have 12 hours, 12 CDs that cover revelation verse by verse. A lot of people really love that set on revelation.

We are now going to go to Pat in Auburn, Nell, Florida, and Pat, welcome to Bibleline Pat. You’re on the air. Yes, sir. You just mentioned that you believe the anti-Christ is available on the live today. And I’ve also heard you mention that you believe that you may be one of our president. My question is, does this person know at this point that he is the enterprise or will he not know until a certain point in his life? My second is I have two cousins who are very into church.

They go, they truly in their heart, if they’re not teaching what you teach, which I’ve changed over to what you’ve taught. I’ve been listening about a year now. In their hearts, they believe that what they’re, are they still going to hell? I’ll pick the answers off the air if you don’t mind. Alright. As far as the Antichrist, I believe he probably doesn’t know he’s the Antichrist. Although he may feel he has a special destiny. And I don’t know for sure.

We don’t probably won’t find out until maybe later when we asked the Lord about this thing. But we find that definitely there’s a point where Satan will indwell this man. And I think at that point he’ll know that he is that man. So we just have to guess because the Bible doesn’t make that very clear. So I’m just going to leave it as a speculation at this point. As far as those who believe incorrectly, even though they are dedicated and they’re religious and they’re faithful, unless they trust Jesus Christ alone, Pat, as their only hope of heaven, they will not be saved.

Let me give you an interesting verse. Romans 11-6. A lot of people say, why do you focus on this? And it’s because I’m pleading for people’s souls because there are many who think that when they add works to the plan of salvation that they’re becoming more secure that they’re more assured of going to heaven when they die because they have this wrong conception that we can somehow save ourselves or at least save ourselves. at least aid Christ in saving us.

But the Bible is clear to tell us that we’re saved by grace. You can see lots of verses that talk about that. But in Romans 11, 6, it says, and if by grace, then it is no more of works. Otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace. Otherwise work is no more work. What it’s saying is that these words are their opposite. If you have grace and you had works, you no longer have grace because works will contaminate grace and can no longer be grace because grace is the absence of any works.

So if I were to, I like this illustration, if I were to offer you a glass of pure water, maybe distilled water, nothing in it, just absolutely pure water, you wouldn’t hesitate to drink. But if I just dropped a couple of drops of poison into that glass and offered it to you, I don’t think you would want to drink from it, because it wouldn’t take much poison to contaminate the whole glass. And if you drink it, you would die.

But the Bible is saying here, if you have God’s grace, let’s say you had a glass full of the grace of God, and you added any work to that glass of grace, you would poison it It would no longer be grace, but now it would be contaminated and it would be like poison. So if you add any works to what Christ has done as the means of your salvation, basically it’s saying you will not be saved. And that scares me for people that are religious and yet haven’t understood that their works have nothing to do with their salvation whatsoever.

And the Bible teaches that throughout. You have people in Matthew 7 that are going to stand at the judgment of the unsaved. It’s the great white throne judgment that’s described in Revelation 21 through 15. In Matthew 7, 22, Christ has many will stand before me in that day. So they’re going to stand before Christ, who is the judge? At the great white throne judgment, unsaved people will be standing before the Lord. And they’re going to make their last and final appeal to hopefully get into heaven.

And look at what many of them are going to say. They’re going to say, Lord, Lord, didn’t we preach in your name? Didn’t we heal in your name? And didn’t we do many wonderful works in your name? Notice they’re bragging in three different areas of achievement. And it’s the wrong answer. So Christ says in verse 23, depart from me. I never knew you. Then I once knew you and I lost you. He said, I never knew you. Now these people thought they knew Christ, but Christ is saying he didn’t know them.

Why? They said nothing about Christ of the Calvary. They said nothing about Christ’s blood as being the only means of their salvation. They said, Lord, look at what we have done. Why we did this and we did that and we did the other. We did many wonderful works in your name. And Christ said, I’m sorry, I won’t answer you. Unless you trust Christ and Christ alone and you shed blood, although many wonderful works you can do, Christ calls iniquity because it is man trying to substitute his filthy rags for the precious sinless blood of Christ that was shed at Calvary for you and me.

And it scares me that there will be many, I think that means the majority of those who name the name of Christ will not enter heaven, they’ll be at the great white-turn judgment, they’ll be pleading their case and saying, look at all the wonderful things we did, surely we should ought to be able to enter into heaven and Christ will say I’m sorry. Depart from me ye that work iniquity. He says I never, none I once knew you and I lost you, I never knew you.

So it’s scary. You need to keep plugging away Pat and point out that if they’re trusting in those things that they’re doing, going on visitation, going to church regularly, living the Christian life as a means of getting themselves to heaven, they’re because you have to come just like the nine thief. And I like the hymn rider who wrote it as best you’ll ever see it just as I am. Just as I am I come without one plea. But that my blood was shed for me.

That’s the only way you can be saved. And yet I’ve been in churches that sing that hymn and they just load up on the front end of that hymn before they’re ever a sung. Lots of things you have to do, publicly confessing Christ, walking the aisle, promising to live for Christ, turning from your sins, and then the choir sings, just as I am I come. I don’t think people are thinking through what they’re saying. You either are coming in your work, or you’re coming with nothing in your hand.

And you say, Lord, nothing in my hand I bring. I just simply cling to your cross. And that’s the only way to be safe. Pat, I hope that helps. Thank you for your call today. And we’re going to go to the next caller here. Call in at 1-800-576-3771. John, in St. Peter’s, recalls in with this I’ll fair question and he says I agree that the Bible should be taken literally. I would like to know if there are passages that are metaphoric or should not be considered strictly literal.

What about symbolism? Well, even the symbolism is about real things. You know, in the book of Revelation we have a number of symbols that need to be interpreted. It really is talking about real events and real things. A lot of people dismiss the book of Revelation because it has some of that language in it. But we find that, for example, in Revelation 12, there was a sign, or a wonder in heaven, a woman clothed through the sun and the moon, and a crown of stars upon her head.

And what is that all about? Well, if you read the rest of your Bible, you can figure that out. that out. It’s really a picture of Israel who Jacob, his name was Jacob and God changes his name to Israel that he was the son, his wife was the moon and his 12 children, the 12 sons of Jacob were the 12 stars and you’ll find that it’s talking about that nation would bring about the Messiah that would be the Savior of the world.

It’s a marvelous chapter about future events that will still happen that are quite literal. But obviously, some of these things are disguised for those that are not saved, will not understand it all, and they certainly get all confused by the symbolism. But they are symbolism, but they can be interpreted within the Bible, and then they’re talking about literal events that will take place. I hope that helps a little bit, but definitely there are some symbols in the Bible, but they are meant to be taken literally.

We have Tony in Sarasota, Florida, and he says, please explain the armor of God in Ephesians 6. Well, as a believer, we’re engaged in a warfare and Satan is our enemy. So if you’re going to be able to stand and be effective, you need to put on the armor. It’s the different things that are essential to Christian life, the word of God. You need to be in the Bible. And as you hold forth the word of life and you’re studying the scriptures, it deflects the lies and the falsehoods that Satan will tell you.

Satan would like to mislead every one of us and make us ineffective and neutralize our witness. So we need to be able to stand tall and stand strong on the battlefield for Christ. And that’s the way to do it. We have Yvonne in West Palm Beach, Florida. And Yvonne, welcome to Bible Eye. I think I’ve got my numbers confused here. Which one do I have here? Two is Yvonne. Okay.
