So you can sit here and listen and learn and enjoy as much as you like. We have finished teaching a number of wonderful courses here as of late. I’ve taught about 40 of 10 hours or 12 hours of teaching.

They’re available to you on CD and many of them on DVD. All you have to do is call and ask. We did Second Peter, which I think is such an important book for this time in which we’re living. Ten hours of teaching on Second Peter. And it deals with the end times and what the believer ought to expect and how to deal with that as we are living when Satan is going to be very active and after the believer.

We also did first Peter, 10 hours of teaching and that’s available on CD and DVD. We also have done the Gospel of John recently. That’s 20 hours of teaching. That was a marvelous study and we broke it into two halves so you can get a half at a time, 10 hours of teaching and the second half, 10 hours of teaching on the Gospel We hope we see you this weekend if you get a chance to come out. Or we hope that you will…

He said, watch on the internet. We’ve been seeing people get saved through the internet broadcast. I know we had one lady wrote in and she said that, I knew you couldn’t see my hand at the invitation. She says, but I raised it anyway. Isn’t that sweet? How wonderful. We’re seeing people come to know Christ as Savior. And we said that there was a family reunion up there in Kentucky. And they had their back up in the mountains in the woods.

And they had a a giant screen and they had the internet access and they had the people at the family reunion sit and watch and listen to the Sunday morning worship service coming right out of here out of our Bibleline headquarters and the message that I would bring. So that’s exciting and we’re looking forward to seeing what God can do. I understand one fellow actually raised his hand at the invitation, even though I couldn’t see it, somebody there reported that there was somebody who did.

So that’s exciting. And we constantly are hearing of people getting saved through Bibleline, growing through Bibleline, going into ministry from Bibleline. And that’s exciting. It really is. And we’re so glad that you’re with us today. If you had your Bible, we’ll talk about a little bit of Bible, and then we’re going get to our callers and we’re going to talk a little bit about replacement theology and predarism. It’s interesting that there are those who teach that Israel has been replaced and the church has replaced Israel and that God is through with Israel.

Well, that certainly is not true. Let me read a couple of verses to you. Romans 11. Let’s see if you can catch it. It seems to be pretty clear to me. Paul the Apostle says in Romans 11 1, I say then, have God cast away his people? The answer is God forbid. He says for I’m also in Israel of the seat of Abraham and of the tribe of Benjamin verse 2 God hath not cast away his people God hath not cast away his people.

He’s talking about the Jewish people That’s pretty plain, isn’t it? You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out God has not cast away his people and Obviously, this is a is faulty teaching. Let me have you turn to Jeremiah chapter 31 What a great passage this is For those who teach that God is done with Israel, it says here in Jeremiah, chapter 31, in verse 35, Thus saith the Lord which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divided the sea when the waves are of roar, the Lord of Host is His name.

If those ordinances depart from before me, say it the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever. Wow! Did the sun come up this morning? It sure did. And as long as the sun comes up in the morning and you’re able to see the moon and the stars at night, God is not done with Israel. That’s right. And then it talks here in verse 37. Let’s say for the Lord if the heaven above can be measured well, nobody’s been able to measure it yet In fact, I think the latest estimate is that the horizon of the universe is four trillion light years away Wow, that’s a long distance, but nobody’s ever taken a tape measure measured down But it says if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath You know, we can only go very little into the earth’s crust

There is the crust which is about eight to twelve miles deep that floats on a liquid magma surface molten rock and We’re only able to go down a little bit and certainly not beyond the crust into the earth And it says if you could do that then I’ll cast off all of the seed of Israel for all that they have done say it the Lord But he says that’s not gonna happen. That’s not done with Israel. I Wonder if people are reading their Bibles when they say these things, but here’s what happened In the fifth century Augustine came along and he said because Israel had been cast out of the land in 8070 when the Romans came against Jerusalem and the city of Jerusalem and the temple there was destroyed and it looked like here a couple hundred years have gone by and the Jewish people weren’t back.

He assumed that God was never going to restore them and you know that is unfortunate because That belief was then carried through the Roman Catholic Church right down to this present hour that God is done with Israel and that the Church has now taken over and that there is no future earthly plans. For Israel, that is sad, but it’s something that is being taught by not only the Roman Catholic Church, but most every church that has come out of the Reformation believes that God has done with Israel and that the church has taken over.

And that’s true of the Methodist Church, the Lutheran Church, the Presbyterian Church, the Reform churches, and just basically every church that came out of the Reformation believes that. And you know it affects their politics as well. well just a couple of years ago in Richmond, Virginia, the Press for Curie and Church USA decided to boycott all companies doing business with Israel because they didn’t want to support Israel but they sided with the Palestinians because they believe they have no legitimate right to the land that they’re in today.

That’s sad. The Church of Christ USA, and by the way the Presbyterian is boasting about 3 million members. The Church of Christ boasting 2.5 million members did the same thing just a year later, and the Anglican Church has just this year decided that they would boycott Israel. It seems like the Christian churches, which ought to really be on Israel’s side, that’s where our roots came from, that’s where our Savior came from, that’s where our Bible came from. Jesus Christ, by the way, is a Jew.

He’s God who came and took on Jewish flesh. Certainly, I think that’s a terrible mistake. But this is happening in terms, really Christians, anti-Semitic, when they really ought to be loving the Jew and evangelizing the Jew. What is most interesting is that a letter came out a few years ago on the Knox Theological Seminary website, an open letter that was signed by about 150 for preachers, and it says in that open letter that the entitlement of any one ethnic or religious group to territory in the Middle East called the Holy Land cannot be supported by scripture.

In fact, the land promises specific to Israel and the Old Testament were fulfilled under But Joshua, that’s not true. In fact, when you read Joshua, that’s early on, when you go over to the book of Ezekiel, we’re now talking about an exile prophet and he writes during the Babylonian captivity, that’s toward the end of the Old Testament. Let me just share with you what Ezekiel says in chapter 37 about the promises to the land that the Jewish people are on today.

Here you have it. It says here in Ezekiel 37 verse 25, and they, the Jewish people, shall dwell in the land that I’ve given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt, Abraham and Isaac of course, and they shall while they’re in, even they, and their children, and their children’s children forever. Wow. Now how can you get around that? Obviously, if this is written at the end of the Old Testament long after Joshua, and you find here that God says that the land would be given to the Jews and they would dwell there in, not only those Jews that would go back, but their children and their children’s children forever could be back in the land, it’s quite clear.

Well according to this open letter it says the present secular state of Israel, however, is not an authentic or prophetic realization of the Messianic Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, a day should not be anticipated in which Christ’s Kingdom will be manifest with Jewish Distinctives, whether by its location in the land, by its constituency, or by its ceremonial institutions and practices. This is an amazing letter on the Knox Theological Seminary website that was founded by James D. Kennedy. And guess who’s number two in the list of signators to this letter endorsing that belief?

R.C. He’s number two. I have it in my hand right here. The second one to sign. 154 ministers saying that the Jewish people today in the land are not an authentic fulfillment of Scripture and that the land is not an entitlement to them. That they don’t really belong there. The titles all been passed and of course the church has taken over and it became they believe the church when When the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 8070. Here’s a quote from RC Sproul.

I have about 30 of them in my hand here and I don’t have time to read all his quotes. But he says the most significant, redemptive historical action that takes place outside the New Testament is the judgment that falls on Jerusalem and by which judgment the Christian church now emerges as the body of Christ. Well, that’s certainly bad theological teaching because the church began at Pentecost, but it doesn’t emerge now as the successor to Israel in 8070, which is taught by most of those who teach replacement theology and predarism.

The predarist belief is that Jesus came back in 8070, that the tribulation period was was 84-60 to 70 and that Nero was the Antichrist and that Jesus came back in all of his power in all of his glory. Of course, nobody saw him. And that’s not the fulfillment. When Jesus comes, the Bible says, every eye will see him and the whole world is going to know. And he’s going to bring peace on earth, good will toward men. When did that happen?

It has not been any peace on earth for the past 2000 years, but when Jesus does come, there will be peace on earth, good will toward men. Most churches believe that right now, if they came out of the Reformation and follow the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, that we’re in the kingdom right now. I always like to give them what I call the kingdom challenge. You know, when you read Isaiah 11, when it talks about this kingdom, that God is going to set up with Israel.

It talks there about how there will be peace not only on Earth but also among the animals and that the lion will lie down with the bear. It says there that the lion will actually eat straw like the ox. So I tell people, hey, let’s give it the straw test. go to the nearest zoo, I’ll bring some straw, you bring your arm. If we’re in the millennium, if we’re in the kingdom, then the lion is going to go for the straw, but if we’re not in the kingdom, then he’s going to go for your arm.

So we’re going to go to the lion cage. I’m going to stick straw through the bars. You’ll stick your arm through the bars. Let’s see which attracts the lion. Nobody’s ever thinking my challenge. I don’t know why, but I think they know that the lion’s going to eat their arm. According to Isaiah 11, the lion will eat straw like the ox. Things are going to be dramatically different when Jesus comes back to ruling rain on here on this earth.

And by the way, I believe the Jewish people are back in the land in anticipation of these very things that that God said would take place, that right after we leave at the ravager, a third temple will be rebuilt, and the Antichrist will desecrate that. He’ll go into that temple according to 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 and verse 4, and he’ll proclaim that he’s God and demand to be worshiped. And Christ will then come back according to 2 Thessalonians 2, 8, and destroy the Antichrist with the brightness of his coming, and then he’ll establish his kingdom.

Chapter 20 tells us six times in that one chapter that is a thousand years, a thousand years, a thousand years. The word millennium comes from two Latin words and that is the millennium, meaning a thousand years, millennium or rather a milli, meaning thousand and an amending years, the two words to get a millennium mean a thousand years. It’s very clear that Christ will come back. If you take the Bible literally and rule and reign for a thousand years. Well we’re going to go to our phone lines.

I’m Dr. Ankerine Klunz from Mrs. Byblind and we are glad that you’re listening and are tuned in to Byblind today. We’re going to Lansing, Michigan and he is this is Bill that’s on the line and Bill welcome to Byblind you’re on the air. There. Don’t. You’re on the air. I’m in here Bill. So we’re going to go to Joyce and Charlotteville, New York. Joyce, welcome to my one. Yes. Hello, Dr. Hank. How are you? Good. Oh, that’s good. Dr.

Hank, I just have a quick. Yeah, he’s still there, Joyce. I don’t know what happened. We just lost Joyce too. Okay. Joyce was going to ask a question. I’m sorry. We didn’t get it. Please call us right back, Joyce. And we’ll try to take your call back up here and catch it and get the answer to you. We’re living in an exciting time. I tell you, as we watch the headlines and you see the price of oil going up, the whole world is being drawn into the Middle East because of the oil.

And that’s exactly what the Bible described would happen as we approach the Lord’s return and God would judge the nations in the Middle East and then establish this kingdom where Christ would rule over the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Wow. Well, we have Joyce, I think back at the line choice sorry okay can you hear me i should okay i doctor hang um… i just have a question could you explain the parable of the stower i i know the first one is um…

i believe unsafe and the fourth one is they but the two in the middle i wasn’t sure about because one is talking about um… that it’s frank they received it with joy and it’s frank up but there was no word right i think The first one is the only one that’s unsaved. There’s a seed sewn by the waistline. But the seed sewn among the thorns and the seed sewn among stony ground are Christians that just don’t produce any fruit.

They get saved and that’s about all that happens. The cares of this world and the lust of riches and the desires of this world prevent them from growing and they just don’t produce any fruit for God. Only the last category is fruit bearing and that seeds sewn upon the good ground and there you have three different categories of fruit-bearing Christians, a thirty-fold Christian, a sixty-fold Christian, and a hundred fold Christian. But I think the second two are both sad, but the last group is a fruit-bearing one, the other, which the second one and the third one, I think represent the majority of what is called Christianity, and most Christians are not doing anything.

Many of them are not even warming the pew i see i see okay well thank you for what i want to know thanks so much and have a great day you too choice and uh… charlotte bill new york we now have bill announcing michigan uh… bill uh… welcome to bible and you’re on the air okay drink a bill call you about something that i’ve seen in the bible and it’s called the baptism for the dead or the bad person of the dead what is that Well, that’s in 1st Corinthians 15 verse 29, and it talks there about the resurrection, which is what is being debated there, because there was something, there was no resurrection, or if that were the case, then Christ would not be raised, and then we have no hope at all.

But it’s talking about those early Christians, many of them had been baptized, were saved, and now had died. and talked about getting new people saved and then baptizing them as new believers and that they were replacing the ranks of those that had died and gone before them. It says that’s just absolutely a waste of time if there is no resurrection from the dead. But it’s not saying that you can perform a baptism for somebody who’s already dead. It’s talking about people who were baptized who died and now new believers becoming baptized to replace those who had died.

Every generation of believers is to replace ourselves by winning people to Christ. Or could it mean also the baptism of the dead which… No, I don’t think so at all. Things really talking about new people getting saved and being baptized that you’re wasting your time if there’s no resurrection of the dead and that these new ones are replacing the ranks of those that have already died. If you have the Schofield Bible in the center margin, it really brings that out very clearly.

Something else I wanted to bring to your attention. You know you read through the Bible and the description of the PHOTOCRICE and what do you will do and what he’s all about What did you talk about compared to Adolf Hitler with the things that his says about the Antichrist? You know, I kind of think maybe Adolf Hitler could have been the Antichrist, but I’m not so sure on that. Well, certainly he was a type of the Antichrist and I think the real Antichrist is gonna make Hitler look like a good guy.

It’s going to be another Holocaust that will be far worse than what Hitler did. It will be worldwide. And apparently, 9 tenths of the Jews that are around the world will be killed by the Antichrist. That’s scary. And two thirds of the Jewish people in the state of Israel are going to be killed after the Rapture during the Tribulation Period. So the Jewish people have a hard day ahead. And it’s called in Jeremiah 30, the time of Jacob’s trouble when God would bring them back to their land.

to their land that they would be refined and purified and made ready for their Messiah. Yeah, and the people think that God has turned his on because he’s with him on that six day old. Absolutely. Well, thank you. Okay, and it’s really kind of sad that many so-called Christians are really anti-Semitic because of the teaching of replacement theology, which is just totally a false teaching that came about in the fifth century. Well, we’re so glad to be with you today.

Again, if you could help Bibleline, we are listeners supported and you could call and give a gift to Bibleline right now or call and ask for an envelope to be sent. But we really don’t have any other means of support and it costs to pay the stations to be on the year. And the only way we can do that every month and every week is to have you the listener help us out. Would you consider calling today and giving a gift to Bibleline?

And certainly we hope you’ll pray for us. I’m Dr. Englundsford. We’re going to take a short break. We’ll come back and do a second half hour. And I hope you’ll join me for that second half hour. And of course on the internet we stream the full program and you could catch it on the internet and you can also listen live on your radio. We’re going to take that break. We’ll be right back. And of course then it goes into the archive and you can watch a years where the sermons that are all sitting there waiting for you. Again by the line is listeners supported. I hate to talk about money but we do need your help to be able to keep this ministry going in all the areas where we are. We’d hate to have to cut a station where we have people listening and enjoying and so to assure that that doesn’t happen we need your financial support.

Would you call and give a gift today by credit card? Would you perhaps call the hash for an envelope to be sent and then just mail the gift in as we’ll send you an envelope with our address on it? Or go to our online bookstore on the internet at BibleLineMinistries.org and you can give there to the Bibleline Ministry on our secure website. I hope you’ll take advantage of that and I want to thank you in advance. Let us all of you pray and give the Bible and you make it possible for us to be on the air.

Monday through Monday or 24-7, our worship services are sitting there waiting for you to take a look at. We’re excited about what Bibleline is accomplishing and we thank God for all the wonderful words of encouragement we get from you. The listeners, we have a stream of people coming by every day.

We get to shake their hands and be able to thank them for being a Bible and listener. And we get to hear their stories about how they listen, many of them, every day without fail and how that it means so much to them and it keeps them going every day. One lady says she had to miss a couple of days and she said she missed her fix. That Bible was her fix. In other words, she had obviously been hooked on Bible Island and needed it every day to make her day.

Well, I’m Dr. Englund Sherman. This is Bible Island. It’s wonderful to be with you on this Friday. Again, don’t forget this Sunday if you’re in the area. Drive on over to see us. If you live in another state, another city, you’re always welcome to join the worship service on the internet at any time you desire. We’re now going to go to Jacksonville, Florida. We have an anonymous caller. And Mr. Anonymous, welcome to my one year on the air. Good morning, Dr.

Lynch. I have just two quick questions and I’ll hang up and take them off the air. Do you know what is the original name for woman and man that Adam gave like in the language or whatever he spoke back in those days? Like English word is woman, then in English it’s man, but what would have been in his language? Then the second question I have is the last book of the Old Testament, I think it was I was reading chapter three.

Somewhere in there talking about the book of remembrance, their names of the added to the book of remembrance, those people. I wanted to know what the book of remembrance was if it was the same as the book of life. And I’ll hang out with the listeners and your answers and it was nice to hear you again. Thank you. Glad you’re listening up there in Jacksonville, Florida. And I really knew it one time, but I don’t remember the Hebrew words for man and for woman back there in Genesis.

you could easily look that up if you have some kind of a concordance with the Greek or Hebrew dictionary, obviously the Hebrew for the book of Genesis. But I think you could find that out and I hope that you’ll do the further research on that if you would like to find that out. And then the second question was, I forget what you were asking there. I’m so sorry that I just went right out of my mind as quickly as it came in.

and we’ll uh… Have to have you call back on that second question. We’re now going to go to Kevin and he’s in Virginia and Kevin. Welcome to Bibleline Year on the Air. Hello. Hi Kevin, you’re on the air. Yes, I was looking to you about your comments about the current world and you had mentioned the verse in the Old Testament about that God would gather his people back to you. I’m not, I’m a Christian, I’m not anti-Semitic, but there are quite a few verses and the ones I want to call attention to, is in revelation to Jewish people that are not a God of Satan is what it actually says.

And what that verse is talking about is, in those days, all the first early Christians were Jewish. And here it’s like saying that they exposed who they were, they would call themselves Christians were and were not Christians and they were obviously in a church that was of Satan. So basically it’s not saying that the Jews were of Satan but it’s saying that there were those who were claiming to be born again who were really not being born again. I believe the context bears that out and expose them as being unbelievers and obviously we always have those around that sometimes are claiming to be Christian and are not.

In Matthew 7, Jesus says many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, and He says, I never knew you. He never knew them. They were never saved at all. So I’ll put it as what He’s talking about. But you notice chapters 2 and 3 of Revelation deal with this present age. And then in chapter 4 verse 1 we have the Rapture. And after that the church is missing from the book of Revelation. And then you’re on Jewish territory.

You find that 144,000 Jewish men become the witnesses as the Jewish nation will have that responsibility again. You have two Old Testament prophets coming back to preach again. That’s Moses in Elijah in chapter 11. You have a temple that’s been rebuilt and sacrifices offered and worshipers at that temple in chapter 11 verse 1 and 2. And you’ll find that the Gentiles will still have control over a portion of the temple Mount during that time. And then of course we have Jesus coming back and then judging the nations of this world and then establishing his thousand year kingdom of peace in chapter twenty.

So it’s not really saying that the God has done with the Jews there but certainly we need to love the Jew and I’ve been Israel fifteen times now and I just really my heart is up to the Jews because of all the persecutions they’ve been through, but you can lead them to Christ and they need to know Christ and we need to be trying to reach out to them. But I believe what’s happening today in the state of Israel is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies where God says, I will cause the people of Israel to go back to the land that I gave to their fathers and they shall possess it.

And when that happens, it would be a time of trouble for Israel as they are prepared for the Lord to come back as their king, as their Messiah. And I think we’re really right on the edge of that all happening. I think the rapture could happen. I agree with you, but I think maybe I’ll leave with this comment that Son of God, and it’s not some other group of people. Okay. Well, I appreciate that. If that’s the case, if that’s the case, then true Israel is the people that believe in his son.

Okay. You have part of that right. The word Israel comes from the Hebrew, which means ish-ra-l, three words, which means child of God. And Jacob became a child of God when he wrestled with the angel of the word and he got saved. And all of his descendants are named the children of Israel. But the Bible is pretty careful to talk about Israel in their unsaved state, the descendants of Jacob as being Jacob. like it says in Jeremiah 30 when they go back to the land, they would go back in unbelief and it would be a time of Jacob’s trouble.

But then it says Israel should be saved out of it. Those who become saved and become Jewish believers will be saved out of it and they become the people that will be the head nation during the tribulation period. But definitely the promises that I read a few moments ago earlier in the program are talking talking about the people that God gave the land to. Thank you for that call and we appreciate that and we are going to take our next caller here.

And we’re going to go to Darrell in, and I don’t know what city Darrell is into. Darrell, welcome to Bibleline your own. Welcome to Bibleline your own ear. This is my first time calling. I wanted to know, well first, is it possible for Christian to lose his salvation? And if this not, then what was Jesus referring to when he talked about the five wives and five foolish verses? And I’ll hang up and I’ll listen to your response. Alright. Sure.

Darrell, that’s a good question. And in John 637, I hope you’ll write these down. Jesus promised that anybody that would come to him, he would not cast them out. That’s John 637. Him that come to me, I will have no wise cast out. So he will not cast you out. Secondly, he says in John 639, he would not lose one person who has come to Christ. So not one person who would be, uh, become saved would ever be lost.

So it’s impossible. Now in Matthew 25 where you have the parable of the, uh, 10 virgins, five were foolish and it says about the five foolish in verse 12, Christ says, I know you not. tells us they were never saved. They were never saved to begin with. Because it says in 2 Timothy 2 19 that the foundation of the Lord’s standards sure having this seal that God knows those that are His. So God knows who is saved and who is not.

And those that are saved are saved forever. But He also knows those that are not saved. And Jesus said, I know you not. Now the five wise virgins were wise because they believed on Christ. If you read 1 Corinthians chapter 1, it’s kind of an interesting chapter where it talks about that it manned by his wisdom. This doesn’t make any sense out of the gospel and they see its foolishness. So the person who says it’s foolish and they don’t believe on Christ.

They’re the ones that are lost. But in that same chapter, the ones that believe on Christ have the wisdom of God, which is in his word and they are the wise. So the wise are clear to the believers in Scripture and the foolish are those who reject the Scripture and do not trust Christ as their Savior. So Darrell, thank you so much for calling in and we’re glad that you called in today. We now have Tony in Tampa, Florida and Tony, welcome to Bibleline Year on the Air.

I am calling about the subject on Israel. In Romans 11, it is described that we are in the treaty, which is Israel. If we are now a wench to that tree, whether you get the belief that we are some kind of different entity than Israel, when it’s come to the body of Christ, it is described that the tree and the wood, we are just part of it. We are part of Israel in a sense as a Christian, just like the previous other.

Well, the body of Christ is comprised of Jews and Gentiles, and if you notice in Romans 11, it talks about us being the wild branches and the Jewish people being the natural branches. So they certainly should be in the tree, but many of those because they have not trusted the Lord are not in the tree, but we who are the wild branches have been grafted in by belief for by trusting Christ. And so we’ve become the branches. But it talks about when the fullness of the Gentiles is coming in, that’s the rapture, then that’s going to be the time when God will go back to grafting natural branches back into the tree, which is during the tribulation period where millions of Jewish people are going to get saved.

And when Christ comes back into the Second Coming, every unsaved person on the planet, Jew and Gentile, like will be slain, and so it says in verse 26, and so all Israel shall be saved. So all those that are truly Israel will be saved. If you read Romans 9, it does make the distinction. Notice it says here in verse 1. 6. Not as though the Word of God had taken an effect for they are not all Israel, which are of Israel.

In other words, just because you’re a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob doesn’t make you a child of God. It says in verse 8, that is, they which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God. But the ones who believed in the promised seed, Jesus, they become God’s children and they become the true seed and they become the branches that are a part of the tree. tree of God where we live in heaven forever.

But it makes a distinction here that the Jewish people who should be in the tree just because they’re Jewish won’t put them in the tree. They’re the natural branches, but they’re broken off because of unbelief. But those that are of the descendants of Israel who believe on Jesus, verse 8, they become the seed, they become true Israel, and those are ones that will be saved in the tribulation period. Our call are just hung up. So we welcome you to call us at 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771.

Our anonymous caller had asked about the book of remembrance. I believe that there are a number of books. You know, if you read Revelation chapter 20, it talks about the book of life and then it talks about other books. And these other books record all the deeds that we have done. For the believer at the judgment seat of Christ, those books will be opened and all the deeds that we have done will be unveiled and will be rewarded accordingly and their degrees of reward for the believer as we enter heaven.

We enter heaven because we have trusted Christ as the only means of salvation. But for the unbeliever, their works have also been remembered, and they’ll be assigned a degree of punishment in hell based upon their deeds, and that’s at a separate judgment that takes place a thousand years later, this described in Revelation chapter 20 verses 11 through 15. So the book of remembrance has to do with the things that we have done, and the Bible says in Revelation 20 that the unsaved dead there were judged out of the books because their names were not found in the book of life.

So only the saved are going to enter heaven, those that have believed or trusted on Christ, and the lost will all get a hell, but there are degrees of reward for the believer and degrees of punishment for the unbeliever based on those books that record all the deeds that we’ve done throughout our life. We’re now going to go to Tony in Tampa and Tony, welcome to Bibleline You’re On the Air. Hello, it’s James in Tampa. Hi, hey, Dr. Lister, Christian brother, and my…

He was a very good writer and my Sunday school class that’s divorced. He has like separated. They were both Christians at the time. During the separation he fell into adultery on one occasion thing and he got divorced after that. She is since remarried and he has just turned his life totally around. He’s really serving the Lord and he had asked me one time if there was any circumstance under which he could biblically remarry and I told him I didn’t think so.

I was wondering what your opinion is on that. Well, typically, if he was the guilty party of an adult’s relationship, he should just remain single and serve the Lord. But, you know, people do it anyway, but sometimes then you pay the price for that because you’re living in disobedience to the Lord. But there’s really only one good solid reason, and that’s a dull free. But if there are other circumstances, sometimes they come to play too. Of course, if your partner dies, then you’re totally free to remarry.

And sometimes if your partner totally abandons the marriage and just disappears, then I think you’re free to remarry. Also, we have a book here in our resource center called Strike the Original Match where Chuck Swendall really does the fairest treatment I’ve ever seen on divorce and remarriage what the Bible says. Because most of the times we don’t see the full balanced picture, but I would recommend that book for him and I think if he read that it would help him a lot in understanding with the Bible says about the topic.

Thank you very much. Thank you. Okay, that was James in Valorico, Florida. We now have Steven in Tampa and Steven. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hey, Dr. Hank. Yeah. I had another question about the distinction between the trees that this man was talking about earlier. Isn’t it true that the distinction is they’re talking about wild olive branches being directed into the olive tree, which is the people of the of Israel of true believers whereas when the war talks about the nation of Israel he’s actually talking about the food tree.

This is where the many churches make the church has become the fig tree to the olive tree of true believers, and to the true believers of Jewish people isn’t that correct? As an excellent point. I’m glad you brought that up. They’re mixing their trees up. Yeah, because if there are two separate trees then you can’t, you can’t, you can’t you’ve grabbed into the fig tree, you’ve grabbed into the olive tree. And will always be a wild branch. I remember being raised on a farm as a little boy and we had these citrus trees that would come up and they had these big thorns on them and their fruit wasn’t very good but they had tremendous root system and you know they would take a branch from a very fruitful tree and graft it in and with that root system of that other tree, boy I tell you it produced tremendous

amount of fruit and it was incredible but it was grafted in but it was always a different branch. It was not really part of the original tree but it was grafted in and the same thing as with the Gentile were a wild branch and were grafted into the real tree and that means everybody in that real tree goes to heaven. But like you say the nation of Israel is represented by the fig tree and that tree is coming back to life as the Jewish people are now back in their land.

Yeah, I’ve learned that the fig tree represents the nation of Israel but the olive tree represents the race of Jewish people, a true believer, but we are granted in a tree. That’s great. Thank you, Stephen. Okay, all right. That was good and we’re now going to go to Carl in Tampa Carl. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Yes, sir, I’ve been listening to Jay secular from a flj and he’s been talking about the persecution is going on worldwide Gonna be these 57 countries nations have come together and they want to bring on Sharia law worldwide and I was just wondering what is getting a lot of Christians around the world and I was just wondering what road do you think the play in the in the last days again.

Well obviously I think there are going to be a lot of radical ones around. You know when the Bible talks about believers in the tribulation period having their heads cut off what religious group likes to do that? Well it’s Islam. I mean you’ve seen it on the news where they’ve taken reporters or other captives and they right? A film, they just cut the person’s head off. I mean, wow. And I thought to myself, isn’t that interesting that a lot of Christians, I think, are going to be killed by people of the Islamic faith.

And I think that’s the fulfillment of that scripture where it says that believers will have their heads cut off. And I think it’s because of that Islamic faith that teaches hatred toward the infidel, that the person who’s not a Muslim, And they’ll cut your head off. And I think that’s how it’s going to play out. It’s going to be nasty. And it’s not going to be very nice at all. I think that more and more we’re going to see those kinds of things happen, especially right after the Rapture of the Church.
