But sure it would be great to have you on the third Sunday in August. If you have your Bible, get it out, we’ll be talking about the Bible. Then we’ll be of course taking our callers. If you want to call in, the number is 1-800-576-3771. Write that down, 1-800-576-3771. Jesus said in Matthew 1240, as Jonah was three days and three nights in the Fish’s his belly, social the Son of Man, be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

I believe that is literal, that Jesus Christ when he died went into the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. And then he obviously rose from the dead. He came back and entered that body that was in the tomb and showed himself alive for the next forty days. What a great verse. And you know, it seems interesting here that Jesus would take the one story in the Bible. This seems to be the most difficult to believe by people and links his own credibility to the story of the Prophet Jonah.

He calls him a prophet and obviously he’s one of the books in the Old Testament one of the minor prophets and He’s called a prophet by Jesus and we find here that Jesus says as Jonah was three days and three nights in the fishes belly social as son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth well obviously Obviously, Jonah was a perfect type of Christ and was a picture in the Old Testament of the death and the burial and the resurrection of Christ.

When you go back to Jonah in chapter 1 verse 17, it says, now the Lord prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. At three days and three nights it’s not by accident, it was all a part of God presenting the gospel long before Christ overcame and Jonah being a picture of Christ. Jonah was on a boat running away from the Lord and it was not until Jonah was cast overboard that the men on that ship were saved.

Jonah died. Jonah died. That’s right. Most people have concluded that he maybe was swallowed by a whale. The Bible know where it says the Jonah was swallowed by a whale. And they do that because they can’t imagine him dying. They put him in an air-breathing fish that would maybe come to the surface often. And Jonah is sitting in there in the fishes belly, sitting in a table, and putting his thumbs as a candle burns on the table there while Jonah is alive for three days and three nights.

That’s not what happened at all. Jonah died and as a result became a savior to the men on the ship that were at storm and then Jesus as Jonah was raised from the dead. So Jesus was also raised from the dead. I want you to notice something here with me in Jonah chapter 2 1, then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fishes belly. There’s two different words here in the Hebrew used for belly. In verse 1 it talks about the fishes belly.

This word means abdomen. And so here Jonah was actually in the fishes abdomen. But then we find he drowns, he dies. And in verse 2 he says, I cried by reason of my affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me out of the belly.” Here is that word again. This is a different Hebrew word and it means hollow place. Out of the belly or the hollow place of hell, now the King James reads hell, but the Hebrew word here is shield, S-H-E-O-L.

Shield is equivalent to the Greek word Hades and it speaks of the hollow place in the center of the earth. Jesus said he would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth according to Matthew 1240. So here we find out of the hollow place the belly of shield, cried I and I’ll hurt us my voice. Now you can’t get the shield unless you die. That’s the place of the departed dead. And all of the saved and the lost went to Hades or Shiel prior to the death of Christ.

When Jesus died, He went down into Shiel where the believers were in paradise and emptied the place out and took all these believers up to heaven. Now the believers no longer go to the heart of the earth, but they go directly to the Lord, absent from the body, present with the Lord. It tells us down in verse 6 that Jonah 2 verse 6, I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. Our earth’s crust is about 8 to 12 miles thick and it is floating on top of the rock liquid magma that is underneath the crust of the earth and the bottoms of the mountains go all the way down to the bottom of that crust.

So the bottoms of the mountains might be 8 to 12 miles deep into the crust of the earth. Well obviously Jonah says he went down below the crust of the earth to the bottoms of the mountains. And obviously he went to the hollow place in the heart of the earth just as Jesus did According to verse 2, out of the belly, that Hebrew word means hollow place of shield. That’s where he goes, and that’s in the very heart of the earth.

And it says here that I went down to the bottom of the mountains, verse 6, the earth with her bars was about me forever. Here Jonah was completely surrounded by this molten liquid magma and then way, way up toward the surface about 4000 miles up, you’ll find that that was where the crust of the earth was and where the bottoms of the mountains were. Jonah was in the heart of the earth. You know the earth has a radius of 4000 miles, a diameter of about 8000 miles, and we find that Jonah was right there in the heart of it.

But look at verse 6 of Jonah 2 where it says, yet, yet, hast thou brought up my life from corruption. His body was beginning to corrupt, and God brought Him back to life. Jonah went back from the heart of the earth into the fishes’ belly, and there his body was resurrected, and then the fish spit him out on the shore, and Jonah then continued then continued his journey to Nineveh. Jesus died and was in the heart of the earth just like Jonah.

And after three days he went back from the heart of the earth into that body that was in the tomb. The body was resurrected and Jesus showed himself alive for 40 days. Jonah showed the marks in his body of his death. Can you imagine that stomach acid trying to digest Jonah’s body? It must have eaten off all of the hair on his body. Can you imagine Jonah then would be totally bald, no eyebrows, no eyelashes, no hair on his arms, no hair on his legs.

I mean he was totally nude of hair and then plus, can you imagine his skin must have been bleached and wrinkled looking and he was a sign, the Bible says, to the people of Nineveh. He was a sign. They looked at him and they realized he had been through some incredible experience. And obviously he had died and in a sense was buried. His body was entombed in the fish’s belly. And after three days and three nights, Jonah comes back from the dead and preaches in Nineveh.

Well guess what? Jesus also bore the marks of his death. When Jesus came back, he came back in the same body that had the marks of his crucifixion, The wounds in his hands and in his feet and the wound of course in his chest where the Roman soldier pierced his chest with a spear. What an amazing book Jonah is and Jesus of course ties the story of his death and his barrel and his resurrection to the story of Jonah.

You know when Paul tells us that the Old Testament scriptures told us that Christ would die according the scriptures that he would be buried and he would rise again a third day talking about the Old Testament. And here Jonah is a perfect picture of the death, the three days of being buried, the rising from the dead and then showing himself alive and having the marks of his death shown visibly in his body and he became a sign. Jesus also came back from the dead and had the signs of his death, barrel and resurrection.

Incredible. The Bible is an amazing book and it all fits together. What you believe about Jonah tells me what you believe about the rest of the Bible. If Jonah is a myth, then the story of Christ is a myth because Jesus said as Jonah was, social the son of man be. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bible Anne and we have lots of collars on nine waiting to go. We’re going to take our callers right now that phone numbers 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771.

We’re going to Matthew in Spring Hill, Florida and Matthew, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning. And a question. What is the difference in a resurrection and a youth ask me that? Well reincarnation means you come back in another life form, not in the same body. So you might come back as an elephant, you might come back as a horse, you might come back as a rat, and of course in India they really believe that because they won’t kill the rats because it might be Uncle Harry or Aunt Susie running around.

They don’t kill the cows because that might be Uncle George or Aunt Hilda. Obviously it’s a crazy religious system. But when we talk about a resurrection, you come back in a body that is your body and it will have qualities that will make you recognizable and it will be a body that will be of course perfect and live forever. And reincarnation is a repeated experience. There’s only one resurrection and there’s quite a difference between that and the doctrine of reincarnation.

The resurrection body that’s a one-to-one correspondence with our body. Absolutely. Amen. I think thank you You’re very welcome. Thank you Matthew for calling in. We now have Doug in Lansing, Michigan and Doug welcome to Bible And you’re on the air. Hi, this is Doug from Lansing and Dr. Lindstrom. I had a question for you about out and the just died. They called themselves the followers of the way. Well, it says that Antioch, they began to call them Christians, which of course the word Christ comes from the Greek word Christos and it’s completely equivalent to the Hebrew word Messiah.

They were those who believed on the Messiah. Which of course is Jesus Christ, that he is the Messiah, the word Christ means Messiah. So, but also as Jesus said, I am the way. Obviously you’ll see that phrase numerous times in the book of Acts that they followed Christ who was the only way to heaven that no man could come into the Father except by Him. But that was about one or two places. It was about mid-acts. There’s a verse that says, at first that Antioch then began to call the Believer’s Christians.

And I can see the stick. That seemed to be a more popular term. Now, as the followers of the weak symbol, what symbols are? The active symbol. Not necessarily. I think that was developed during the persecution of Christians that occurred in that first couple of centuries and during that time they had to kind of meet secretly and disguise who they were and so I don’t think that occurred until probably many years later after the New Testament record was already completed.

In other words, that persecution really continued all the way up to Constantine. You know, there were ten Roman emperors that severely persecuted Christians and killed them and put them in the arenas in Rome and they became a spectacle and they would impale them and pour oil on them and light them on fire for the night games and so on. It was a terrible, terrible time. The last Roman emperor was by a cliche who had ten terrible years of persecution upon Christians and then boom, Constantine comes along and he declares the world to be Christian and all of a sudden Christians were now in favor.

There were several centuries there when they had died. I’ve been to the catacombs in Rome and it was usually in that context of Rome where the persecution was really heavy. where they meet underground in the tombs to have their services that they use that symbol of the fish to identify each other. Yeah, I just read that somewhere, Dr. Linstern, where if there was two people walking down He was walking down a road in ancient times and then one would draw an arc in the sand and then the other person would draw another arc and complete it and that’s how you knew that they were fellow believers.

That’s right. That’s pretty amazing to believe that people were like, and that’s why I wondered what that really meant. The followers of the way that was literally Jesus himself saying that he was the way. Yeah, that’s exactly it. Christ was the way. And sometimes it says that way or the way and clearly it’s talking about one way and that’s Christ. Okay. Thank you, Doug. Okay thanks so much. Doug in Lansing, Michigan, the capital of Michigan. We have Jimmy in Chesterfield, Virginia, and Jimmy, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air.

Yes, Dr. Hank, in fall 1, 5th, verse 6, we feel about the everything placed low. What does that really mean? And also, does the Bible, is it for the faith and the unsaid? And I hang on and listen to your answer. Yes. Yeah, absolutely, the Bible’s for the saved and the unsaved, and everything gives praise to the Creator himself. Everything that God has created, the stars, the sun, the moon, and all of the animals, the hills, the mountains, everything really just praise to God who created it.

What beauty we see when we look out at the creation and sometimes in our worlds today we live within a city and we don’t get to see it in joy, all that God has. Thank you for that call, Jimmy, in Chesterfield, Virginia. We’re going to hold the rest of our calls. We had a bunch of calls still waiting till the second half. We are coming up on the end. If you haven’t trusted Christ, would you just say, Lord, I am a sinner?

That’s just being honest. But what I hear makes sense. And I trust Jesus Christ right now as my only hope of heaven, as my Savior, as the one who died to pay for my sins and forgive me. And I trust him right now to give me the gift of eternal life and become my Savior. The moment you trust Him, God saves you most important decision you’ll ever make in your life. This is the last day of July. We’re behind in July and we could use your help financially if you’d like to help Bible and it would be great.

We have no other way of keeping these programs on the air than you are listeners. God is raising up people just like you who are concerned about this program and want to keep it going. We don’t pay any salaries.

I don’t get a salary. It’s all donated time, but we do have expenses because we’re on the air in a lot of places and we have to pay for those radio bills. I’m Dr. Inksler. We’re going to take a short break. We’re going to come back and do a second half hour. So I want you to keep that radio tuned right where it is. And I’ll come right back in just a minute and we’ll do part two. So don’t go away.

We have the brochures for Israel being printed right now. And shortly we should have that brochure also available on the internet for you to look at.

So you can go to Bibleignnews and maybe by tomorrow we’ll have the brochure up and available and by next week we should have brochures in hand if you would like to go with us next February. That is if we’re still here. The Lord is coming back and we may not have an opportunity again to go and see that special place where the biblical events really took place. We certainly hope you’ll come by and see us sometime if you’re ever in Tampa for vacation or business.

Come by and say hi. We had a family come by yesterday just before our prayer service and they were from the east coast of Florida near West Palm Beach and they just wanted to thank us for the Bible and program, encourage us to keep it going and to just know where physically that program originated from and we had a good time. And I hope that you’ll come by sometime. That would be wonderful. We’d love to get to meet you, shake your hand, and we’ll give you the red carpet treatment, and we hope that you’ll help us by telling your friends about the program and growing the ministry.

If you have missionaries overseas, tell them about BibleLineMinistries.org and they can listen to the radio shows and watch the television shows and listen to the sermons on the Internet. That’s exciting. Again, we want to thank you and advance all of you that pray for and give the Bible line. We could use your gifts today as we close out July a little behind. We could use your help to catch up. And I hope you’ll help us by calling in and giving a gift by credit card.

We’re going to now do the second half of Bibleline. So keep your radio tuned right where it is. And here we go. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back for that break and this is Bible and it’s so wonderful to be able to be with you. And thank you for tuning in to Bible and we sure do enjoy our audience.

We have such a wonderful… He was a great group of listeners. He had a couple husband, wife, and her two sons come by from the West Palm Beach area on the east coast of Florida. And they were on vacation and wanted to just stop by and say hi and encourage us to keep this program going because of what it meant to them and how they just wanted to see where the program originated from. It was wonderful and we just love getting to meet you our listeners and we have so many that do come by and we’d love to have you come by.

You can’t, of course you can visit our Resource Center online, you can visit our Worship Services online, you can listen to our radio programs online, you can watch our television programs online. Just go to BibleLineMinistries.org. BibleLineMinistries.org and you’ll find you can get it all right wherever you might be. But if you ever come to town, if you ever come to Florida, please take that extra minute to come by and see us. We’re right next to the Tampa Airport, just a block on the west side and we would love to have you visit us.

On the third Sunday of every month we have a dinner and that’s a lunch right after the service a lot of great home cooked food and you’re welcome to join us on that day. It makes it nice if you’re traveling a distance, come for the 1030 service, bring your Bible, your appetite, your family, and enjoy the worship service, then stay for the lunch. And then this third Sunday, August 17th, we’re having a baptism at 3 in the afternoon and a lake very close to my line headquarters.

And we would be delighted to include you and baptize you if you’ve not been baptized since you have been saved. this would be an opportunity. If you don’t have a church that would baptize you, some churches don’t put you under the water. We do and we believe that’s scriptural and I’d be happy to be the one to baptize you if you’d like. So give us a call and get directions for information and get on the list and we’ll include you on August 17th at 3 in the afternoon on our baptism and you can come and make it a day.

Come to the 1030 service, stay for the nice luncheon, get to sit back and enjoy the good food and fellowship, and then we’ll baptize you at three in the afternoon in a small lake. Beautiful setting, outdoors, and it’s so biblical I think to do these things outside of the church building. But we’d love to have you and you’re always welcome. I hope you’ll take us up on our brochures for the Israel trip next year are being printed right now and we should have the brochure up on our website maybe by tomorrow I hope you’ll keep looking under Bible and news and you’ll be able to see the full itinerary of the trip if the Lord has it taken us out we’ll be planning to go it’ll be trip number 16 for me we now have Annie in Miami who has been waiting patience recently.

Annie welcome to my mind you’re on the air. Okay, Roma. Okay. I listened to you, I think I’m sorry, I listened to you. I have a person to ask, I’m very disturbed about it. I have my fiancĂ©, he’s Jewish. He told me that we will never see God, we don’t need to see God, and when we die, we can’t you can’t get it and whatever you don’t want to accomplish on earth to become back again and somebody and it just goes on and on right and I’m confused.

Obviously he’s not believing his Old Testament. If you read for example Job chapter 19, Job said that he knew that his Redeemer lived, that he had a living Savior. He’s talking about Jesus and how that even though he would die and the body that he was in would be destroyed, he would get a brand new body and actually see Jesus, see the Lord in a new body with his new eyes that he would receive. That’s Job 19.25. You have David in the 23rd Psalm, said surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

The Bible nowhere, old or new testament teaches reincarnation, and certainly you need to get him under the sound of God’s word. He is not paying attention, and if he’s Jewish, he ought to be reading his Old Testament, but you might point out those two passages. I hope you write them down. That’s Job 1925, and having read the 23rd Psalm and say, look, the Bible doesn’t teach any of What you’re saying at all and you need to get him saved.

No doubt about it. He needs to know the Lord, which is the Messiah of Israel. He’s already been here and died on the cross the paper since. Thank you Roma. And we appreciate that call. We’re now going to go to Timothy in Saint Petersburg, Timothy. Welcome to Bibleline. You on the year. Timothy? Oh, okay. Yes. I. First of all, I got to tell you. When my mother was buying a cancer. I was at the center and I had your program on and she was wonderful.

And then that helped me out big time. And then also, go ladies, 12 years, see some master’s, a master’s degree, she’s sharp, she’s smart, she knows the Bible, as she Hello, drivers. You’re going to be a lot of races in the past season. There’s a little bit of a lot of folks there. You can be a lot of people’s healthy. So, there’s a lot of little bit of change going to be there, and you can be a little bit of a little bit of a lot of people.

A little bit more, a lot of people get even the28s. So, for all that. I’m a 12-year-old. I’m a child. I bring her to the Lord, but she don’t want to listen to me. And regardless of being saved by, you know, for deep. Let me encourage you to get the CD I have called How Permanent is Your Solvation. We’ve had thousands get saved by listening to the CD. It seems like God is really blessed. And it could be like a third person.

If you could get here to sit down with you and listen to the CD. We have such a wonderful track record. People tell us all the time when they get somebody to sit and listen to it. many times they get saved. And so I’ll be happy to send you one free. If you’ll just call back and tell our operators that you want to get that out, permanent is your Salvation CD. I think that might be just what it would take.

It will be a clear presentation that God has really blessed over the years. We’ve had so many use this as an evangelistic like a track. They get somebody to hear it and they come back and get saved. One man in our church gave it to a friend, who’s a truck driver, and he had put it in his CD tray in his truck. He was coming back from California. He was fiddling around hitting buttons to get a radio station, couldn’t find anything decent.

Then he hit the tape player, and this was in there and he’d forgotten all about it. He listened to the how permanent is your salvation CD, and he got saved, and he pulled his truck over the side of the road call the friend back here in Tampa that gave him the CD and said guess what I just finally listened to that CD that you gave me and I just got saved and of course then that friend called me and said guess what I gave a track, rather a CD to a friend who drives a truck and he just called me from the middle of Texas someplace he just got saved and we hear those stories all the time.

Let me encourage you to get that CD and give that a try. Okay, and I got the phone number I’m gonna call after all right after when you so that’ll be great. Thank you very much No, thank you Timothy. All right. That was Timothy. Let’s pray for his wife that she’ll come to know Christ We have Joel down in Miami, Florida Joel. Welcome to by blind. We’re on our one. What is your take on? On the book of Solomon’s I have heard different interpretations of the spiritual meaning of the book of Solomon’s.

I just want to think about what we hear to take on it. Well obviously he wrote most of the book of… of Proverbs, he wrote the book of Ecclesiastes and Solomon also wrote the song of Solomon. And I don’t know if you’re referring to anyone who was in particular. Maybe the Solomon. Yeah, the Solomon Solomon really is a beautiful love story. And when you see the pictures and types, it’s a picture of Christ’s love for us, the church. And I think that you can see that there have been some wonderful, wonderful commentaries written about this, and it’s a picture beyond Solomon there to the love of God for each and every one of us.

And it’s a beautiful love sort. And I believe it’s inspired of God. It’s a part of the scriptures. definitely has meaning. And certainly it also is a great book to use as a pattern for loving your spouse. Definitely the Bible is given us some hints there as to what makes a successful marriage. Some hints? Well, that means some instructions. Okay. Word hints a little bit like. Yeah, it gets pretty graphic. Yeah, it does. And that’s fine. Because the Bible says like in Hebrews 13 and 5, marriage is honorable in all and the marriage bed is under file.

It does talk about sex in the book of Song Solomon. So you’ve got your base? Oh, yeah. I think it is a definitely a real life story for that time. And I think the overview is it’s a picture of Christ and his love for us. Alright, and the other question, what did you take on the effort that? Well, I believe we are. Here’s the man who sells all that he has so he can buy that pearl. I think the man there in the parable is Jesus and he gives his life.

He gives everything he has to purchase us. And by his death and shed blood, he purchased us and we’re the pearl of great price. Okay. And one more question. How did you store up all this information in all these Bible verses in your head? I first started by three by five cards and I would write the verse on one side, the address of the verse on the other side, carry the, you know, a few in my shirt pocket with me all the time.

And I got up to about 5,000 verses that I could recite off of three by five cards. And most of it stuck with me to this very day. I still can recite almost all those verses that I’ve learned. And it’s been wonderful. I think it’s something that everybody really ought to do. And I hope I’m in encouragement for others to start memorizing. You have to start somewhere and just take impact on our website. We have a place called Flashcards where we have my web designer said, hey, I could do what you did for our people who use the website.

And we have some selected versus that you can begin with, or you can pick any passage or verses that you’d like to memorize. And it’ll show one side of the verse, and then close your eyes and recite it, see if you got it right. Then ask yourself, can I remember the address of it? And you hit flip at the bottom of the card, and it’ll give you the address, like Romans 3.23. And Once you’ve got Romans 3 23 in your head, then try to quote it.

For all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God. Hit flip and you’ll see the text of the verse come up on the other side and you can flip it back and forth and back and forth to get that verse and then move on to the next one. So we have some sets of suggested verses all set up for you to memorize right on our website. I’m going to look up. I have your website punched up right now on my computer.

way it sounds to me like you memorize the entire battle somebody asked you uh… where does this particular person come up with you know show up and and boom you’re just a rattle it off at uh… exactly where it is and i think we can do that with the computer mind uh… let me tell you for a long time and i uh… uh… if you were to be here to see a lot of people come visit our radio show i’m sitting here with my bible in my lap and that’s it i don’t have anybody else feeding me answers or whatever i’m In fact, a lot of times I’m quoting the verses to you from my head, not actually even turning in my Bible because I have memorized the great deal and I’ve become very familiar with the Bible which is what I wanted to do to be able to not only know it for myself but be able

to help others in answering their questions. Yes, but you mentioned something about the fascinating fact that I hadn’t heard that before. Do you have anything on your website? I thought maybe a sermon that you preached that involved that. There’s some there and also look under the bottom right hand corner Dr. Lindstrom’s articles I have about four or five articles that I’ve written about that and Maybe next week. I’ll go back and touch on that topic again and go further with it because there’s a lot of scripture about it And yet you never hear anybody ever preach on it exactly and that was what has always stumped me Has been the whole thing about the the dinosaurs that you know you can’t deny the dinosaurs I mean they’re there.

I mean they’re all over the place and and The Bible is very silent about that and people say well those scientists will walk on the earth when Adam and Eve Or not that I don’t think so I don’t think we’re huge I hate to have one come in money. We’re looking for lunch. I mean, no matter how spiritual you are, you can’t do that about one of those E-Rexes or anything like that. You got that right. Thank you so much for your time.

I love your ministry and it’s a real blessing to us. Thank you Joel. Joel in Miami, Florida. We’re now going to go to Jonathan in Coral Springs, Florida and Jonathan. Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Jonathan. You have to turn your radio down so we can hear the radio. I’m turning it down so that a couple of us are listening to you. One of the questions that we want to ask you was about tithing. You have to tithe 10% or what is the biblical information for tithing.

I’m going to hang up and just listen to you, Dr. Lipsman. Thank you. Okay. I have again a couple of sheets, articles that I’ve written that are on my website. You can go into Dr. Lipsman’s articles and look about finances and giving and so on. But basically the tithe was the Old Testament law that you were required to give 10%. We’re not under the law, but that doesn’t mean that we’re exempted from giving. And the Bible tells us that every man should give.

If you look at 2 Corinthians 8 and 9 in particular, it talks a lot about New Testament giving. And it says in chapter 9, I think it’s verse 7, that every man, according as he purports it in his heart, so let him give. And so you are to make a conscious decision as to how much to give. And somebody once said, should we give less under grace than we gave under law? So it’s really the whole object here is that we give from the heart, not because we have this requirement upon us.

So it says that God doesn’t want us to give grudgingly or because of the need or necessity, but it says God loves a cheerful giver. And the word cheerful from the Greek means a hilarious giver. Somebody who just loves to give, he just says, wow, I want to give. And it’s because as a believer you learn how that giving can be a real way of not only showing God your love for Him and gratitude for what He’s done for you, but also a way of investing in eternity.

One day whatever you have given will come back to you in the way of eternal rewards. And so the more you invest the more you get back. And it says there in that chapter, if you sow sparingly, 2 Corinthians chapter 9, you’re going to reap sparingly. But if you sow bountifully, you’re going to reap bountifully. And God says he’ll always see that you have enough to meet your needs as you give to him. So, Marvel’s chapter, I hope you’ve dissected verse by verse and take a good close look at it.

But that’s what we’re under today. not under the Old Testament tithe. We’re under grace as we choose to give what we would like to give and we should do it from the heart, not because there’s a commander because there’s the need. And you know, a lot of churches just beat you up with the need or they may embarrass you and you kind of give against your will because you feel embarrassed if you don’t. And God really doesn’t want any of that.

He wants you to give from the heart because you want to give and that’s where you really get the blessing is you’re giving from the heart as an expression of your love to God. So thank you for that call and we hope that’s helped a little bit and we’re now going to go to Melanie in Salem, Indiana and Melanie, welcome to byline. Hi, I’m Hind Dr. Hank and we are a sister inspiration to me and I’m excited to talk to you.

I was wondering my question here about cremation. I was wondering if you could tell me your views on that. You guys, do you believe it’s okay to be cremated or do you think we should be buried? Okay. Well, being cremated will not affect your salvation at all. There are people, for example, who are burned in a house fire, or in some other type of environment where they get caught in a fire in a forest, maybe, or something. and there’s nothing to do about it and it won’t affect your salvation at all.

If you’re a believer, you’ll get a brand new body in heaven that’ll be perfect and so on. But in the Old Testament, the Jewish people always buried as a picture of the fact they believed in the resurrection. And it was kind of a statement that they made by being buried. I personally want to be buried myself. important. Thank you. Hello, All85. Thanks, Raj. And that’s it. Good home. Alright. Alright. So, thank you. Thank you. Have a good night. Thank you.

Good night. We’re gonna miss you. Have a nice rest of the time. Good night. And we’ll see you later. Good night. Good night. Have a great night. With the latest update. I’ve been hearing now for a few minutes. Really good night. And I’m really excited to be here. Thanks so much. It doesn’t really matter. Sometimes that decision is out of your hands. Your loved ones, because of financial concerns, may not be able to afford to marry you. So they might do a cremation.

But it won’t affect your salvation. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. I’d find that I do a lot of funerals and I do probably 50-50 cremations nowadays. It’s because the cost has just become such a tremendous expense and it burdens those that are left behind that are alive. and it doesn’t really affect your salvation. So I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. There are people who were cremated in the Bible. Saul and his sons were cremated, and there are others that were cremated.

And we know that according to the Bible, Saul and his sons went to heaven, so had nothing to do with your eternity. Well, thank you, Dr. Haker. So this is the race and death. I’m so glad that we can hear you out here because you’re the only one that got it right for us. God bless you, and thank you so much. Well, thank you so much. We’re excited about being on your station. We’ve only been on about three weeks or so or maybe a month now and I’m glad you’re able to hear us.

Oh, God bless you. Thank you so much. God bless you. Thank you. You’re welcome. Bye bye now. Hope Melanie will keep listening and tell her friends in the area about the program and get them to listen as well. We now have Olivia and she’s in Clearwater, Florida and Olivia. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. This is Olivia. Yes, ma’am. Is this that’s the answer? Yes ma’am it is. Aha, I hope you can get it in my letters. I am and I’m sorry that I’ve been so busy.

Don’t be so sorry about anything. I’m so, I like to hear you know, and God bless you. But what I wanted to ask you, I wanted to ask you about the law of Moses. Moses had laws that he gave to people didn’t he? Well yeah, and it’s really from God, but it’s called the law of Moses. But God gave them for Mount Sinai for the people of Israel to guide them and direct them as to how… About the commandment for one, right?

The ten commandments were a part of it, but there were really about 969 different commandments given under the law. So there’s a lot. And some of it was dietary laws telling you what to eat and what not to eat. So you know you’re uh, that today though, we’re not under the law So if you want to eat a pork chop you can but according to the Old Testament law You were not to eat any pork at all. I know that and and so on and so Obviously there’s some good rules are you not to eat birds of prey that like buzzards and yeah You know feed on dead bodies you might get sick if you eat those things So God has given you good good advice there is the what you can cannot eat you’re not supposed to eat fish that don’t have scales so

That’s why catfish really are off the list tuna fish And and a number of things from the sea sharks. You don’t want to eat them. They don’t have any scales don’t eat them Usually those scavengers and that means you again are you getting something that’s just eating trash I want to know because I’ve been getting different message. It seems that the discretion of trying to tell me that Moses had different laws and the dangers gave him for God on my side.

Yes. And a lot of us good advice. And I think that as you read those old testament laws, a lot of those things you should still follow, even though we’re not required to. They’re good advice. And the other thing I want to say, and I’m going to hang up, I want to say that I thank you so much what you said about people giving to the churches because I have had churches with people who send me letters, and that’s what I have much money they want me to give.

And I resent that because I like to send what I can for everybody. I don’t have credit cards and what not. And what I give, I give it from my heart. Yes ma’am. I do and it makes me, it puts the guilt feeling on me when I can’t spend maybe 500 or 500 dollars on it. I don’t have that kind of money. Sure, I understand very much. And it’s a shame that God does not like that. I know you not like that.

I know that you don’t even like to talk about money. I said you say that’s how I was sent. But anyway, I don’t have any problems about what I said, you may not be a lot, but it’s from my heart. And I will send it as often as I can. Okay, thank you Olivia. Okay, and I need you to pray for me. Alright, we’ll do that. We’ll keep going on our list. That was Olivia in Clearwater and we’re about toward the end here.

I’ve got lots of colors. I’ll lines are all lighted up, but I think I’m gonna have to hold them till tomorrow. I’m sorry to do that to you all that I’ve been waiting. But you know, if you haven’t trusted Jesus, that’s the most important thing you could do. You need to do that right now wherever you might be. Just say, Lord, I’m a sinner, but I trust Jesus right now is the one who died and shed his blood to pay for my sin.

I trust him right now to save me and God will andNOTE become a child of God and then you know, I’m ainence. need to grow. Again, Bibleline is winding up the month of July. We are short.
