Bibleline Radio Show – 2006-06-16 – Beliefs That Matter

The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God who took on flesh and dwelt on earth. He was sinlessly perfect and gave Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice by shedding His blood and dying on the tree; He then came back from the dead. This was to pay for all sins (past, present, future) for all who believe.

Please feel free to dial us up at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to turn today to 2 Corinthians 5-21, a favorite verse of mine. It says, for God hath made Christ to be sin for us, Christ to new know sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

What a great verse. It really explains clearly what happened at Calvary. And that is at the cross Jesus Christ died and paid our sin debt in full. And he in exchange exchanges for our sin, his righteousness and the believer becomes righteous in God’s sight. And so we’re excited about the fact that once you trust Christ the Savior, God sees you as absolutely righteous, absolutely perfect. as you are given God’s righteousness when you trust Christ as Savior. Second Corinthians 521, God made Christ to be sin for us Christ to Ninenosin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Alright we’re going to go right now to Tom in Richmond, Virginia. This is Bibleline, I’m Dr. Anchlin Strem and welcome to the program today. Welcome Tom, you’re on the air. Yeah, I have a question for you, Hank. Actually, what do you know about the Gideon’s? Yes, what about the Gideon’s Society? Yeah, I’ve been approached at a church to become a member and so I know they went around, they leave vitals and hotel rooms and stuff like that, but they can be fairly evangelistic.

I just wondered if you had any more information on them. Well, they’re a wonderful society. They have distributed millions and millions and millions of Bibles in lots of different languages and different countries all around the world. and they are… I basically do most of it out of their own pocket, out of their own funding and it’s wonderful to be able to go into a hospital or into a motel and open that drawer and there’s a Bible sitting there thanks to the Gideon’s.

That’s a wonderful ministry. Alright, that’s good. Hey, can I respond to what Harold asked yesterday? Sure. He asked the believers, I think that he wanted to know what. I believe so. Well, I mean I am a believer believer and i think that it all hinges right there i mean i have been a believer i’m trusting christ or uh… salvation and nothing else and that seems to be the thing that herald is missing that total trust on christ so i think that would be my answer for lots of great answer i really appreciate you saying that because uh…

obviously what he did what he’s saying is seemingly implying works isn’t it which is what most people are thinking and we’re no different than anyone else except that we have trusted Christ and were saved based upon what he did for us. Yeah I would like to be heralded in heaven one day so heralded in. Amen. Thanks thanks. Thank you Tom and Richmond Virginia who we just called and you can call in if you like at 1-800-576-3771, that’s 1-800-576-3771. Alright we have, the phone lines are open right now and you’re welcome to call in at 1-800-576-3771 and you can take advantage and call in right now in the 1800 number 800-576-3771.

Getting back to what we were talking about earlier, 2 Corinthians 5-21, that is a wonderful summary of what happened at the cross. Jesus was made to be sinned for us. Christ in Uno sinned, Jesus was sinless, but God took your sin and mine. Lated upon the Lord Jesus Christ and Christ became sinned for us, so that we might be made the very righteousness of God. I was raised up in church and I never heard that in order to enter heaven I would have to be as righteous as God.

But the Bible teaches that that is the requirement and that’s why our works are excluded because we could never become as righteous as God by our works or by our deeds. So it is obviously important that we recognize that we have to trust Christ who took our sin and paid for it in its entirety so that we could exchange and have God’s righteousness given to us. We’re now going to go to Jim down in Sarasota, Florida and Jim, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

Yes, I did. I did. I have a question for you that has been plaguing me for a long time. I am a believer and I know that there is a difference between sin and sin and plural. Yes. Um. My question is this, I realize that everybody sends every day and that there’s no way that you can. I don’t think anyone can go through a day without sinning. But if you’re in a situation where you sin and it’s a thing that you can’t seem to overcome, kind of like alcoholism, I realize that God forgive you for these sins.

But the fact that you sin is that one and any way cause you any type of reprisal in your life or any kind of negative things to come about in your daily living even though you Even though you have tried to do away with this, and you simply just can’t seem to overcome it. Well, yeah, there’s a price to be paid. Obviously, sin breaks our fellowship. It doesn’t affect our relationship. We become born again and are related to God becoming a son or daughter by trusting Christ and Savior, and that’s unchangeable, and that is forever.

But our fellowship, our walk with the Lord, is dependent upon what we do. And the Bible in 1 John chapter 1 in particular really talks about how sin hinders that fellowship walk. And so there’s a remedy there that we’re to confess that. And the Lord will wipe the slate clean and we get a fresh start. And that’s of course should be… You know, moment by moment all day long as we attempt to try to walk in the light as Christ is in the light and have that fellowship that first John promises where we are in tune with the Lord walking in the direction he wants us to go.

But obviously we’re going to give an account at the Judgement seat of Christ, I believe, for the things we’ve done since we’ve been saved. Also, the Lord will chasten the believer to try to get us to, you know, see our need of correcting our lives and getting back on track. And there are of course just consequences of sin depending on what the sin is on our bodies. For example, if we have a habit of alcohol or cigarettes or other addictions, they take a toll on our body.

And so there’s a price to be paid there. And so, and then sometimes if it’s a, We can’t control our anger and we strike out at people. It destroys our people relationships and nobody wants to be around us or we’re excluded and so on. So there’s always a price to pay for whatever sins we commit. But we have the power of the Holy Spirit to be able to have victory. We just have to really cry out to the Lord and ask for help and then do our part to do the best we can to really be consciously aware of the fact that we need to stop that particular sin if we are aware of it.

Okay, but I know it’s not easy. I’m not saying that you can stop in a day sometimes when it’s been a habit for many years but the Lord can certainly Take away those habits and things that are wrong in our life Okay, thank you so much. You’re so welcome Jim and thank you for calling in we now have Troy in the land, Florida and Troy We want to welcome you to Bibleline. You’re on there. Yeah, Troy. Yes, sir Do you explain Genesis 3, 15 and how that relates to Christ or if it does?

Well, it does. There’s a promise there of the coming Messiah. It says that the seed of the woman, which is the Messiah, Jesus, that would come of the woman one day, which I think is a veiled reference to theFACE of birth EVENT that a woman would have seed without a man and that this seed of the woman would ultimately bruise the head of Satan which speaks about his defeat, but also the seat of Satan which is probably the Antichrist or Satan would bruise the heel of Christ which is referred to the first coming.

I think that’s the reference to his death at Calvary and then the bruising of Satan’s head the second coming and so you have the two comings of Christ pictured there as I’ve mentioned before the only death that we know of where the heel of the victim is bruised is crucifixion because the person in crucified is to push all her body weight up on their heel to catch each breath because they cannot inhale when they’re suspended out like they are with their weight hanging on their two hands.

So they have to push up and their heel becomes bruised. I think the crucifixion is really there. The virgin birth is there. The victory of Christ over Satan is there. The two comings of price is there, it’s quite averse. Yes, and in many, what’s the definition of another word for that? The Senate odds are due to make opposing one another. There was obviously, Satan and Jesus are opposed to one another for sure. And I said it odds with one another.

Okay, good. Thank you so much. You’re welcome. Thank you Troy. And now we’re going to go to George and Palm Beach Gardens and George welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Good morning. Thank you. The question I have actually came up before the last call. I mean come up yesterday, but about recognizing people in heaven. He says, I hope we see heroin. First Corinthians 1550 says flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. And now if we read Philippians 3, 2021, it says Christ will transform the body of a humble state into conformity with the body of His glory.

So how are we going to recognize one another in heaven? Where is there a more clear… Well earlier in 1 Corinthians it talks about every person who’s going to be given a body as it pleases God. apparently like a seed planted in the ground if you plant. The body that we have now is like seed that will bring forth one day our resurrection body. So apparently there will be things about this body that will still retain in our new bodies that will help us be recognizable.

But I think there’s something more than that because when you look at the amount of transfiguration in Matthew 17 you have Jesus appearing and Moses and Elijah appear with them. There’s Peter James and John who’d never seen Moses nor seen Elijah, but yet they immediately recognized who they were. I don’t think Moses had a sign hanging around his neck saying, I’m Moses. Elijah had a sign on his neck saying, I’m Elijah. I think there’s something natural about being in the spirit body that we’ll have and our new bodies that we’ll recognize one another.

So I guess it’ll be exciting to find out, but that’s what I believe is probably true, will just naturally know each other and it won’t be a problem at all. And we’ll know people that we never knew before because obviously Peter, James, and John recognized Moses and Elijah and they’d never met him before in their life. How would you interpret First Corinthians? First Corinthians 13, 12, it’s talking about the New Testament being completed and it’s not talking about recognizing relatives but this is the chapters that are about the gifts and it’s talking here about some of the gifts would cease and then the Word of God would be completed and that would allow us to see more clearly what God had intended for us to know about the future and so it is his word.

So he says, we see right now through Glass Darkly, that’s at that point in the early church, this is around 80-50 when the book of, or in 50-80-54, somewhere in there were first Corinthians was one of the earlier written books, but when he says, but then face to face, now we know in part but then I shall know even as I’m known, is referring I think to the completed New Testament record and then we can look in this book and discover things that God has for us and see things clearly.

So the church in its infancy didn’t have all the word of God. And just like as a child, you have little toys for them and you get them bits and pieces and they can only take in a little bit. They can’t even take in solid food. They have to have milk and then they gradually move them on along until they can, as they grow up, you know, able to chew on food and digest it. Well God the same way he gave us the intestine and bits and pieces until finally it was completed and then at the conclusion of that we would be able to see clearly.

As an adult and as the church grew up or matured with God’s Word being fully complete. We have that book by Merle Unger called New Testament Teacher Young Times and he does the best job I’ve ever seen in explaining these passages as he exegetes chapter 13 and he exposes the meaning there that it’s really talking about the New Testament record and how that But then we’ll now, of course, we’re on this side of the new just being completed. We have all that information for us.

Let me share with you another verse. This one I got wrong for many years. It says in chapter 2 of Corinthians in verse 9, as it is written, I have not seen nor ear heard neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for them that love him. And I always read that verse saying, boy, isn’t that exciting? One day when we get to heaven we’ll see things our eyes have not seen or our ears heard and we wouldn’t even have been able to conceive in our minds that God has prepared.

But verse 10 tells us we don’t have to wait till we get to heaven. It says in verse 10, but God half revealed them unto us by His Spirit and that’s of course the Spirit of God writing or being the author of the Bible and in particular the New Testament, we right now can read about and learn about things that eyes could not have seen or ears could not have heard nor could we have comprehended that God has laid out in His Word about our future and about His plans for us.

So it’s really exciting that it is talking about the Word. Wonderful. Yeah, I’ve never seen that for quite a while as a young believer. I read that verse and I get all caught up and, wow, when I get to heaven, I’m going see things I had never seen before and I knew that, but all of a sudden when I read verse 10, and sometimes we have to read the context or we miss it, it tells us he has already revealed those things to us in his word.

Well, thank you very much. I’m gonna get the walk on that street of gold one day and I I certainly didn’t dream that went up and I haven’t seen it yet, but God has revealed it to me that the New Jerusalem and tells the dimensions of it and the foundations of it and andfilename that’s the place where the believers will live one day. It’s really exciting stuff. We are we are uh… taking calls right now if you’d like to call in at one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one you’re invited to call You are invited to call in.

Bible is on the Internet. We are streaming the program right now to the Internet and last month we were informed We had 10,300 listeners on the internet. And we’re really excited about the tremendous growth that we’ve had on the internet as far as internet listeners. And that is really phenomenal. In fact, others are looking at us and saying, how can this happen? Because some of the well-known broadcasters like Charles Stanley have about 15 ][ a month, but we’re pushing into their territory.

We’re getting over 10,000 listeners. It’s interesting to see how God is blessing Bible and of course you all that listeners are a real part of that. We’re excited about how God is blessing and we’re obviously growing every day, reaching out to new people via the internet, via the broadcast on television and radio. The listeners are our partners. As you pray for us and as you give to Bible, you are going to continue to help us accomplish this. We have Richard now in a city I haven’t heard of here.

Richard, where are you calling in from? The castle in. Where is that at? Okay. And for? Well, the call is breaking up a little bit, but what is your question? Are you still there? I think it’s a cell phone that probably just died and we may have lost Richard. Well, we’ll have Richard call back. I think it’s probably a cell phone problem. And thank you, Richard. Please call right back and we’ll get you up on the air. But we have now Karen in Sarasota, Florida.

Karen, welcome to Bible Ed. Hi, Dr. Linda Drum. It’s Karen. Well, great. It’s good to hear from you. You know, Howard’s name comes up a lot. And it comes off a lot in my house because my husband has completed Jew and has believed for about 26 years. Wonderful. And so we think of Howard and we do pray for him. And I don’t know, it’s just so unbelievable that it’s like he is going to get to say, or we hope that he does and we pray that he does.

not only god knows but it’s the joy that he could experience in his life if he’s listening the joy is a prayer away his whole life and heart and soul and i remember when i first got saved birds looked brighter in my kids i mean the world changes and that is I think how the Lord can speak our hearts, what you’ve done is so real and his love is just like nothing anybody who isn’t born again by his spirit can ever experience anything like it.

And he’s a prayer away. If he just says, God, if this is true, I’m going to start reading like one of the gospels. I want to see how Jesus walked. What he did. I don’t know if Howard’s ever read anything in the New Testament. If he would just read one of the gospels, the Jewish people need to just read one of the gospels and to just learn a little bit about Jesus’ life. Amen. You’re absolutely right and we’re praying for Harold that he will shortly come to know Jesus if he hasn’t already.

He may have and just not willing to reveal that yet, but it is exciting to see that happen. You can stay on the line, but we have to go to break right now, but okay I’m gonna stay on the line okay you stay on the line and we’ll continue this conversation in just a minute We got to go to break, but we’ll be right back. So hang in there. Don’t go away. I’ll be right back with you Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment.

Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771 That’s 1-800-576-3771 Alright, I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and we’re into the time where some of our stations are on break, but we still have Karen and they’re discussing things with us. And this can be heard down where Harold is, Karen, so you can go ahead and continue our conversation here. Okay. One thing that I heard about, I guess it’s five or six months ago, my husband visited a pastor up in Atlanta. He’s been to Israel many, many, many, many times.

And their tour guide told him that constantly, that when a Jew is dying, he’s on his deathbed, and a rabbi comes to see him, that dying Jewish man or woman will say, to that rabbi, Jesus, with the Messiah. But they’re so afraid to reveal it over there in Israel, that he’s in their heart and they believe, and they’re dying all the time and they’re saying it to the rabbis all the time. Isn’t that wonderful to hear. I know there’s a growing movement of Jewish believers in Israel and that is exciting and especially I think around the Sea Galilee at Tiberius where some of them are pretty bold to try to proclaim Christ and have really put themselves out there to be persecuted for that.

It’s exciting. We got us doing a number of Messianic congregations of Jews in Israel. It’s exciting. And we are attending a church in Clearwater who, as I converted you, completed Jew, Messianic Jew for 25 years. Wonderful. and he does first by verse and he’s absolutely wonderful. Well that is great to hear. And one other thing, I think, if everyone that is listening right now, if we all together, just say, if I can say just a little prayer for Howard, just real quick.

Okay, it’s here. Everyone in their hearts, if they just say, just, oh dear Lord, just, if Howard would just open up a new testament, and look at one of the God’s folks, it’s so clear, it won’t be as fuzzy, I believe that God wants him to understand and all that you have to do is say if this is true Revealed in me that this is true. I need he needs to know we need to know and Just the rest Well care about you.

Thank you We know your passion for Harold and we are trusting that the Lord will open his eyes to see the truth There we go. Okay. I bless you. God bless you. Thank you now for listening down there in Sarasota, Florida We are about ready to rejoin the station’s that have been on station break and do Bible and part two so keep your radio dial tuned right where it is and we are going to come right back in just a moment.

Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. 3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break. This is Bible Adam, Dr. Hank Lindstrom, and we’re coming to you live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor. And we look forward to being with you every day Monday through Friday and on the internet, 24 hours a day, seven days a week anywhere in the world.

And We just were informed that on our internet site that we had 10,300 listeners in the month of May to the Bible and Radio program. Isn’t that exciting? And we believe that God is really blessing the Bible and Ministry because we haven’t been on the internet with this program that we’re on now except for about six or seven months. phenomenal growth force and to see our Bible and Internet audience grow so quickly and we get calls from many places in the states where we’re not on the air because they’re finding us and listening to us on the Internet.

Alright, we’re going to go back now to Richard that we lost earlier probably because of a bad cell zone, but Richard, I’m sorry about that, but we’re glad to have you back on the air with us. Yes, sir. Was one of them cast it out, Luke, apart? Yes. uh… now was there a war was there evil before lucifer or was there a set no that’s what started it he is the uh… author of sin okay absolutely and uh… and he was actually uh…

on the earth i believe according isia fourteen uh… twelve to fourteen where he tried to invade heaven and then god cast him back down to the earth Now talk to you guys today and let’s talk more today about what we were saying earlier and tonight’s video is 2nd call, which is where the angels lived and Lucifer was, uh, head over them and call the god of this, formerly still has that title to this very day. So I believe that that was prior to the earth being made void and without poor magenesis one too.

And so Lucifer’s been around a long time, but he’s the one that introduced sin into the universe. Okay thank you. No, one more time I’ll let you guys want to the helmet and the shield. Can you please talk about that and I’ll let you go. All right. That’s in Ephesians chapter 6. Thank you Richard for calling in from over on the east side of Florida, north of Orlando someplace over there. I have to get my map out. But I cast land I guess in Florida.

But the armor there in Ephesians 6 talks about the warfare that goes on in this world where Satan is out there and is the enemy of the believer. But what is interesting is the verse that gets overlooked there, Richard, in that passage, is verse 15 where it says that we are to prepare our feet, that they should be shot with the preparation of the gospel. And obviously, I think that’s the verse that really needs to be brought to our attention Because obviously, I think that there’s no sense of putting on the armor unless you need it and you don’t need it if you don’t go to battle.

The key thing is your feet take you to the battle. Notice it tells us that our feet should be prepared to bring the gospel. When you are prepared to bring the gospel to somebody and your feet take you to that person that you need to share it with, then you definitely need the armor on because that’s when Satan is going to fire back at you, as you invade his territory and try to win the loss that he is attempting to keep blind, then you have to have the armor on it.

A lot of Christians forget the armor, you’re not doing anything for God and there’s no conflict and Satan is not going to bother you. But if you will prepare your feet to carry the gospel to somebody who has lost, try this, Why going in one direction but have your feet go another direction, it doesn’t work does it? I have found that where my feet go is where my body goes. And obviously if your feet are taking you into the battle, according to the Bible, is over the souls of men where Satan is the god of this world that blinds the minds of those which believe not.

Then obviously it’s then you need to put on the helmet and the armor and so on to protect against the trickery and the wilds of the devil as he fights against us. So Richard, I hope that helps. We have now Linda calling in and she’s calling in from Nicomas, Florida. Linda, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Linda, are you there? I am there. Good. All right. Where is Nicomas, Florida? I’m not sure. I know where that is either.

It’s between Venice and Sarasota. Okay, okay, I just hadn’t heard that name before and I’m learning a lot of geography on this program. Well, how can I help you today? Okay, yesterday, yes, I’m here. Can you hear me? Yes, I do. Don’t listen to the radio because it’s a delay and you’ll get all confused. Okay, yesterday you were on the line with the Jewish gentlemen that they did not believe. And I did want to make a comment, but I also wanted to just, in a sense, make a correction.

The reason Jewishness is declared by the rabbis to be through the mother is not from the scripture. It’s unfortunately through very painful Jewish history where there was raping of Jewish women during pogroms and other atrocities against the Jews. And so we always knew that the mother was Jewish, there was no way to identify the father at that period in time. And so that’s why Jewishness comes through the mother. I see. And that is known in Jewish history. And that came in through the rabbis.

I got you. I appreciate you bringing us up to speed on that because I was unaware of that. Yes. And then the other thing in term, I don’t know if his name is Howard or Harold, he said he was an atheist. Harold, yes. Harold, and I also, you know, from a Jewish background, and I’ve discovered whether people claim to the atheist since the scripture says that which is known about God is evident within each man. Usually there’s just a great big wound and disappointment that causes people to take in a sense that’s virtually unnatural position.

The angel declared to Miriam, or as you would say, Mary, that you shall have a son, his name shall be called Jesus. When that angel, Gabriel, who’s won the angels of Israel for Israel, came to her, he said his name shall be called Yashua. Yahuas saves. And if people could begin to speak, they would be able to speak.

you know where people have a difficulty christian seeing a connection between the father and jesus’s lord if they just look at the name yahua and the heber name for the messiah yashua they would see the connection yahua and yahua saved and so who help in the disconnect that harold is experiencing thinking he’s going to embrace the foreign god he’s embracing the one who’s called yahua saved Amen. That’s exactly right. And I agree with you. And when we’re talking to Jewish people, sometimes I talk about rather than use the word Christ or Christianity, I talk about Messiah and the day because that’s not as painful for them to hear.

And it’s the same equivalent word, you know, to talk about that. Of course, Jesus really from the New Testament and the Old is Yeshua. And that occurs over 130 times in the Old Testament. So Yeshua is there throughout the whole Bible. Right. And one of the other things many years ago, I had a half-hour conversation with a Cascita Rabbi. Uh-huh. And the issues broke down to two things. What’s the difference between a Jewish person is trying to please the creator of the universe versus the believer is that we have the blood We have the Ruachakodesh, we have the Spirit of God.

Those are the two main issues. Look at that. Amazing. Yeah. So. Well, that’s good stuff. And thank you for sharing, Linda, and keep listening down there. Thank you. I appreciate your program. All right. Thanks. You know, it says in Leviticus 1711 that the life of the flesh is in the blood, and God says it to you upon the altar to make it a tone for your souls, for it is the blood that make it an atonement for the soul.

And the Jewish person doesn’t have a blood sacrifice, so they have no atonement for their soul. That’s a good one to write down. Leviticus 1711 that the Jewish person needs a blood sacrifice. And of course, Jesus is that blood sacrifice. when you trust in Christ death and shed blood is the means of your salvation. God saves you. We’re now going to go to the land Florida and there we have in the land we have Cecil and Cecil welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

Cecil are you there? We have a question for Dr. Hank. Do we have Cecil or who do I have? Hey, this is Rick. All right Rick. Okay, Rick. Cecil, but we’ll help you call back and we’ll get him up on the air. Rick, good to hear from you. What can we do for you? What’s your opinion on the city of Petra? Do you believe that’s the place where in tribulation where the Jewish people will flee? Yes, I do. I’ve been there numerous times and it was about 40 square miles of buildings carved out of the rock out of the mountains and I I believe Isaiah 16 talks about this place.

It says the word Sela in your King James, but if you have a Scofield in the margin, the word Sela is really from the Hebrew, Petra. And that’s the very name of the city today, which means rock. So this rock city, which really was kind of lost to the world up until 1850 in English archaeologist named Burkhardt risked his life and joined an Arab caravan and he rediscovered it to the world and it’s a beautiful beautiful place and all set to go and can accommodate all the Jews that will flee from the Antichrist out of the state of Israel where apparently they’ll be miraculously protected and fed of God for three and a half years, the last three and a half years of the tribulation period.

The Bible says there are twelve hundred and sixty days in Revelation chapter twelve, and they’ll be protected from the wrath of the Antichrist, as you’ll try to kill all the Jews on the planet Earth. And another holocaust is coming, unfortunately, and many, many Jewish people will die, but those who are believers and know what to do at least as an Israel will run to Petra and be spared. And supposedly that was built by the descendants of each of them.

That’s correct. They were rock dwellers and they would build homes in the cliffs and so on and thought they were safe. That’s absolutely right. It has a long history. Rome even there was there for a while. And there’s a Roman amphitheater carved right out of the rock. Beautiful, beautiful thing. I’ve climbed all over it. been all over Petra but it’s called the Rose Red City of Petra. The colors are just gorgeous and in the different carved out buildings the temperature average for the year 70 degrees so it’s natural air conditioning even though when you’re outside it’s very very hot.

It is a beautiful place that God has prepared for the Jewish people to flee to. Oh that’s good. I was listening to Southwest Ministry Noah Hudgeon. I’ve got a video you can get you know like an hour video that they film. Well it’s a beautiful thing. I’m sure his video will enhance your understanding of the place but it’s yeah I’ve been there and I’ve taken video and pictures and I brought some some of that rock back. I’m a rock collector too.

I’ve got rock collectors too. I’ve got rock collectors and I got rocks from everywhere. I made open my suitcase when I go through customs and they say why are you bringing all these rocks off they have crazy and have you decided on beginning july boy you’re pushing me now i’ve but we’re almost there i think we have we have two choices uh… one of them might be first and second the saloonians which is eight chapters of great in-time stuff all about the rapture and else is we’re getting closer all the time maybe we ought to talk about that and then we have another one on how we got our Bible but we’ll either do probably one of the two or and the one that we don’t do will be offered as one of the fall courses.

Oh, okay. Well, that sounds good, Dr. Haney. I’ll see you then. All right. Thank you, Rick, calling in from Tampa, Florida and we lost our color from the other coast, maybe he’ll call back. Off the air, Lawrence in Tampa, Florida calls in, he says, in the epistle to Timothy, it says that women should not preach. There are preachers out there that are women. He’s confused. Well, don’t be confused. These women are in violation of God’s Word. They shouldn’t be preaching.

That’s pretty simple. That’s 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse 11 to 15 tells us that women are not the usurp authority over men or to preach the Word of God. So that doesn’t mean a woman cannot witness or share the gospel and instruct her children and so on. But to be a preacher, a disciple or deacon, an elder or bishop is a forbidden, I’m sorry, that’s just what the Bible says. He says, is this a sin or is something else going on?

Yeah, God is not happy with this and I think it’s a part of the corruption here at the end of the church age when they’re not enduring sound doctrine. And the world, the church is being conformed to the world rather than the church conforming the world to the church. Obviously, we need to bring the world in line with God’s word rather than the world imposing on the church what we should do in practice which is what’s really happening here for the murder here at bible is one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one we have been in uh…

richmond virginia and then welcome to bible and a double-income uh… i’ve heard that the n i d bible is uh… that certain parts of the mission You’re absolutely right. Absolutely right. What ones are missing? Well, we can send you that quiz if you’ll just give my operator your address. Well, we have a quiz that is based on the 44 verses that are dropped. And when you look to the NIV to answer the quiz, you get a zero because those verses aren’t even there.

And the purpose of the quiz is to get you to realize this Bible is the efficient. not only are there forty four verses in their entirety that are dropped but there are thousands of other missions and their subtle and their important verses and this is amazing and by the way the joe’s witness bible drops the same forty four verses so i’ll live you on with my operator who gets your okay one of the question yeah go ahead If you’re a deacon, is there any way you can lose your deacon ship?

I don’t know how you can. I believe that when, like in my church, we ordain elders and deacons, and I believe it’s a lifelong title, although you may not be serving. For example, deacons in our church and elders serve two-year periods and then are reelected or not elected again. But once they’re ordained, I believe it’s a lifelong commitment that they’re a deacon, whether they’re actually officially in office serving or not. At least that’s the way it works in my church, Calvary Community Church.

Oh, okay. Well, so once we tell Ordane you, we take it quite seriously and we tell the person that is being ordained that they need to really consider whether they want to do this or not, because it’s a lifelong commitment to live up to the standards of being an elder or deacon. And they’re always going to be an elder or deacon, but they may or may not be officially serving in the capacity where the church has elected them in their serving in a period of time.

And sometimes they might take a sabbatical and come back and serve again at a later time. They don’t have to be reordained. I’ve got you. Okay, that was that was awesome. You know, it’s just doing like you go into a mysterious one. Somebody you’re trying to save says, isn’t this wrong? It’s like catching the head with a brick. You know, you know, the unsaved is straightening you back out. So anyway, that’s true. Well, that’s good. I mean, you get yourself back in line and I got my boss, my wife trying to point to me now.

But I appreciate you talking to me and put me back on there so I could find this out because I had Sunday school class. You know, somebody’s got to have something to back it up. You got that right. We have this one. I need it. We have the book also New Age Bible versions. It’s not expensive, but it has about 20 of these new ones, including the NIV. It’ll be helpful for you. Thank you. We now have Don in Tampa, Florida, just called in and Don says he knows you teach that once you’re saved, you’re always saved.

He’s at work. He cannot talk on the ear, but want you to give him some verses to back that up. Let me give you a couple of verses. Don, I hope you’re able to write them down. John 637, Jesus says, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. I’ll never forget one lady I was speaking to, and she said that she had lost her salvation and I said, that’s impossible. And we read this verse. And I said, him that cometh to me, have you come to Christ?

She said yes. Have you trusted him as your savior? You only hope of him? And yes. She says, it goes on and says, I will have no wise. That means for no reason or any circumstance will I cast you out. And then it doesn’t say, except you commit the sin that this lady committed. So there’s no exception clause and she got the point. Christ is not going to cast you out. Some people though say, well Christ won’t cast me out, but I can cast myself out.

If you read verse 39, it says, this is the Father’s will. Can’t go any higher than that. Which has sent me that of all of which you have given me, Christ says, I should lose none. So Christ is keeping everybody saved and he’s not going to lose one, but it will raise him up again at the last day. So you’re not keeping yourself saved. Christ is keeping you saved and he promised not to lose anyone. So how can anybody be lost if Christ has the God the Father telling him that he’s not to lose one and obviously God is not going to be violated on that one.

He’s not only not going to cast you out, but he’s not going to lose you. He’s not going to lose one person John 639 I thought about that verse many times and I said, you know if that verse said that Christ would lose one All of my life I’d have to wonder maybe I’m the one he’s going to lose May I be in a state of panic all my life, maybe I’m going to be lost But Jesus said he would not even lose one so he can’t lose me because He can’t lose one.

If one person in all history were ever lost, then Christ would be a liar. Of course, many of the verses are very, very good. Christ says in Hebrews 13.5, I’ll never leave you. I’ll never forsake you. Think about what that means. If somehow you could ever wind up in hell, Don, then Christ would have to go to hell with you. He said, I’ll never leave you. I’ll never leave you. That’s never going to happen. Christ isn’t going to go to hell.

So if you could lose your salvation and go to hell, then Christ would have to go to hell with you. He goes on to say in Hebrews 13-5, I’ll never forsake you. So he’s not going to forsake you. Period. I’ll never. I’m never forsake you. I’ll never leave you. All great verses and there are many more. If you have internet access, I have quite a number of articles that I’ve written that deal with this. One is called Everlasting Life.

The other is called Eternal Security. And there are others, but I might help you. But those are three great verses that I think if you have those, you’ve got the answer. Now we’re gonna go to Cecil in the land Florida and Cecil, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes. In reference to the man that called in just a little talk ago and said, would we be born as we are known? Yes. Didn’t Christ come back as in other words he didn’t change in his statue in any way.

They knew him as soon as he came back. He left your dyswhacky Absolutely came back with the same wounds in his body and everything else. I believe first grade is 15 teachers that were like the body that we are in now when its period is considered like seed in the ground and will produce a new body at the resurrection. So every seed bears its own type of fruit and so if you plant this body it will be raised one day as a new body, it’s going to be having a lot of similarities to the body we have now.

We just have a glorified body. Amen. That’s right. Well you’re right on, Cecil, I agree with that. That’s a great point and we’ll have a body like Christ and it was recognizable. It was physical. It could apparently do things that this body couldn’t do. Maybe go through a closed door or a locked door into a room where people were waiting to see them and so on. And to be transported from one place to another instantaneously. It’s going to be exciting.

I can’t wait to get my new body. There’s one thing I want to hit on with that I disagree definitely with you. Suppose on the saved that we can’t lose our salvation, supposing that I was to go out tonight and get in bed with some woman and to met adultery. and I die in the process. The Bible says that there will be no adulterers in heaven. Now I know you’ve seen that. This… The answer is that when you trust Christ you are seen and declared as righteous.

You are no longer seen in your sin. That doesn’t mean that you will go unpunished. The Lord will chase the delinquent believer or discipline the delinquent believer. I know that there was one fellow in our church that did just what you are talking about. On one affair, one night, got AIDS and in one year he was dead. You might go home to heaven early, but you’ll still be saved. So the Lord will take you out. He can take your life.

I’m not saying that’s what’s going to happen to every individual. If you die in. Well, that phrase, dying in your sin, refers to that you are dying without forgiveness of sin which comes through Christ. Once you trust Christ, He gives you everlasting life. We’ve got a run.
