Most Christians are not aware of how serious it is to add to what Jesus Christ has finished! It is the difference between whether or not a person is saved. It is the difference between heaven and hell.

It’s about 20 programs you can be watching. the program this week is about two prophets that God is going to send back to the earth, a very fascinating program on prophecy. In any case, we are having our classes tonight. If you’re in the Tampa Bay area, you might consider coming over. We’re in a five week series, two hours every Tuesday night from seven till nine, and tonight will be the second week. We’ll do classes 3 and 4, class 3 at 7, class 4 at 8.
And it’s all over at 9. We’d love to have you tonight. So come on over and join us for this wonderful study in first and second Thessalonians, an exciting study that really covers so many doctrines. This is a wonderful two books in the New Testament and of course it will cover salvation, discipleship, fraternity, predestination, election, but it also deals with prophecy and talks about the coming of Jesus at the Rapture, the resurrection of our new bodies, the fact of the tribulation that follows and the rise of the Antichrist, the rebuilding of the Third temple, the desecration of that temple by the Antichrist, and then the return of Christ, the defeat of the Antichrist, the setting up the millennial kingdom and so on and so on, tons of things.
And you’re going to enjoy that study. If you don’t live in driving distance, you can order the CD series when we complete it. And we have numerous ones. We have so many people tell us that they use these to facilitate a Bible study. year there was a wonderful Bible study that was using my CDs on Revelation and they invited me to the final, I guess, kind of like get together at the end of those classes and they got to meet the students and we just had a wonderful time and they told me how much they enjoyed listening to the book of Revelation in that study, 12 CDs I did and verse by verse through the entire book.
A lot of people love that series. The book of Daniel is also available. The book of Jude, the book of Hebrews, the book of Romans, and 40 different ones. So there’s plenty to choose from. In any case, call our operators of 1-800-5-763-771. One of the things that’s a controversy today is did Christ already come back or not? You know, there are those who claim that they are a predatorist, and they believe that Jesus Christ came back in AD 70, and of course nobody saw him.
But what is interesting… The book of Revelation to deal with, and the book of Revelation says that Christ is still coming. Now of course they claim an early date. Everything that they believe is based on, and predicated on an early date for the book of Revelation. And they say that the book of Revelation was written before AD 70, and therefore Christ’s coming was still future, and he came in AD 70. But guess what? We have a book here called The End Times Controversy by Thomas Ice and he does a marvelous job of documenting the fact that the book of Revelation was not written until somewhere in the 80s, 90s, which forever puts a stake in the heart of predarism because in 80s, 90s something, 20-something years after 80-70 the book of Revelation says Christ is still coming future.
So you can’t have already come. It’s a lot of craziness out there but of course that same view says that God has done with Israel which certainly is not true and what we see in the Middle East today is really the preparation for Jesus to come back. Are you getting ready? I think you ought to get up on your table or on your house top and get ready to be snatched out. to Yajiramaa 31 verse 35 where it says, Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divided the sea when the waves there are bor the Lord of Host is His name.
Verse 36, God says, If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease, for Me in nation before me, forever. So obviously the sun came up this morning, I believe it is up there right now, I was just outside of the go and the sun is shining. And last night of course the stars were there and the sun and the moon are still all there. And according to the Bible until the sun stops shining and the moon does not appear at night and the stars don’t appear, God is not done with Israel.
So Israel is still alive. What is an amazing witness to us is the fact that the Jewish people have returned back to the state of Israel after a two thousand year dispersion. So we are excited about the fact that we are living in the days when Christ is about ready to return to the earth. Jeremiah chapter 30, incredible prophecy, it says, the word in verse 1 that came to Jeremiah from the Lord saying, thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel saying, write the old words that I have spoken unto the book verse 3 for lo the days come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord, and I will cause them, I will cause them, I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall not might, not perhaps, not maybe, but they shall possess it.
I love the fact that the Bible really never uses those qualifying words. It always says they shall. And they are back! They are back! Never to be plucked up again. This is exciting. And of course I think we are getting close therefore to the return of Jesus. Because Hosea, the prophet in chapter 3, defines the latter days, according to Hosea the prophet, as the days when the Jewish people would return after a two thousand year dispersion. I think one of the most exciting prophecies that I’ve seen, and of course I start saying that I can think of so many others, but this is really quite an amazing one that tells us that we’ve got to be near the time.
In Hosea chapter 5 in verse 15, I believe this is a quote of what Christ said prophetically 700, 800 years before He ever came the first time, and He says in verse 15, I will go and I will go and return to my place. That sounds exactly like what Christ said over in John 14. Christ said in my Father’s house there are many mansions. If we’re not so, I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I’ll come and get and receive you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. In verse 15 here, Jesus says, I will go and return to my place. My place till they, the Jewish people, acknowledge their offense and seek my face in their affliction will they seek me early. Well guess what, the Jews have been in afflicted people right now. We are living in a time when the Jews are more hated and more afflicted than perhaps any time in history.
In the first verse we have the Jewish people responding and they say in chapter 6 of Hosea in verse 1, come, let us return unto the Lord, for he hath torn and he will heal us, he hath smitten and he will bind us up. So the Jewish people say let’s go back and find the Lord. And here’s the verse, this is what the one you ought to mark down. In Hosea chapter 6 verse 2, after two days will he revive us, that is reviving the Jewish state.
He will raise us up and we shall live in his sight. What is interesting here is that we know that Jews will be raised up and live in his sight during the thousand year reign of Christ. Which by the way is called dozens and dozens and dozens of times the day of the Lord. So we know the length of the third day. The third day is a thousand years. Revelation chapter 20 tells us six times and at years. And it says here, after two days, will he revive us?
Well, since we know the length of the third day, the first two days also must be each a thousand years each. So it’s really saying after two thousand years he’ll revive the Jewish nation and in the third day, the third thousand years he’ll raise us up and we shall live in his sight. Wow! We’re just about through with that two thousand period, aren’t we? Christ was here 2,000 years ago and the 2,000 years is almost up. When the 2,000 years are up, it says He’ll revive us, the Jewish nation would be revived and then in the third thousand years they would be raised up and live in His sight.
I’m getting so excited I’m coming right off my chair right here in my studio. We are getting close out. I think what you’re watching on the news is really a part of all this prep work that God is doing to get Rizal ready for Hermosiah. We’re next to go at the Rapture. If it happens this year, it could be September 22nd. September 22nd, now not at date center, but the feast days that God gave are all a picture of the events of the first and second companies of Christ.
And I believe the Feast of Trumpets is the picture of the Rapture which this year is September 22nd. And guess what? That means we’re just two months and just a couple of days out, number 60 days, and we might go out of here. Now I’m not saying he’s coming this year, please don’t misquote me. I’m saying if he comes in the year 2006, he will come probably on September 22nd. But if he doesn’t come this year, then we’ll look for the Feast of Trumpets in the year 2007.
But he clicked on this year and wouldn’t it be something if we only had 60 something days left and out we go? Well, that motivates me. Some people say, well, how does that affect you? Well, it should affect our lives. It says over in 1 John, the fact that we are watching for His coming ought to impact how we live our lives as we realize, wow, we need to be doing more. We need to be giving it our all.
Not to be saved, of course, salvation is a gift. It’s free. Christ paid that payment for us at the cross when He came the first time. But to live for Christ and to make the max out of all the time we have left. This is our opportunity to make an impact for God in this world and also to earn rewards in heaven and have God’s blessing upon our lives as we live for him. I hope you are a believer.
That means I hope you have trusted Christ and his death in shed blood is the only means of your reaching heaven. If you’re trusting anything other than Christ alone, even Christ plus works and negates the whole planet’s salvation. You will not be saved if you’re trusting in Christ plus baptism, Christ plus church membership, Christ plus confirmation, Christ plus mass or penance or all the things that people list. You have to be like the dying thief and simply trust Christ alone.
And when you do, you are saved at the instant you trust Christ. It’s not a process you are fully and completely saved forever at the moment you trust Christ and the Bible tells us that you possess from that moment on everlasting life. I have everlasting life. I’ve had it since I was 18. That’s when I received the gift of eternal life by trusting Christ as my Savior. The Bible says the gift of God is eternal life. I’m Dr. Anglican.
This is Bible and we’re about ready to take phone calls. We’d love to hear from you. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. By the way, tonight if you’re in South Florida, you can catch our television program on Channel 61 out of West Palm Beach. on cable I believe it’s channel 13 it’s at 8 30 tonight 8 30 tonight p.m. The quality is incredibly clear. It is really good. People are raving about this. You must try it. If you get audio only and you don’t get the picture, you need to download a Flash Player.
It’s free. We can tell you how to do it. Hopefully we can get it. Hopefully we’ll… Hopefully we’ll get a link on our site where you can download a Flash Player because I’ve had people tell me I’m only getting the audio and that’s because you don’t have a Flash Player in your computer. Anyway, we’re going to go to the phone lines. We have Mr. Anonymous. We have several Mr. Anonymous’s calling in from all over the country, but this one is in Tampa, Florida.
So this is a close Anonymous. Welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth. Dr. Hank, I want to congratulate you. We have a great ministry. And I want to ask you three questions. It’s about Billy Graham. Billy Graham, any president is also a free nation, and I have proof of that in documentation. I want to know about that. Second of all, I heard you say that I think I’m not trying to miss quotes, you’re not that just said that Jesus died physically and spiritually on the cross.
I am down spiritually. I know physically but spiritually because most of the guys who said that he died spiritually are one of the first teachers and they say that he was drug and held by Satan. And third of all I want to ask you one more question and it’s about Hank Hanegrath. He says most of the book of Revelation is symbolic and he does believe in the rapture but he does not believe in the anti-clite or anything like that he said that all is made up by the free millennium people and there and write the book on it to recruited and i’ll hang up the list to you online okay already have any great hang in the graph book he is uh…
totally wrong obviously he’s saying that christ came back in eighty seventy with all the glory and all the power of his angels and of course nobody saw it and uh… then the book revelation is written twenty five years later says the crisis the coming uh… that’s uh… that is nonsense and of course uh… He is a prenterist. He was in the closet prenter for a long time, but now I think it’s coming out with his book, which I have within a few feet of me here.
And that’s just nonsense. That all came out of bad teaching from beginning with Augustine in the 5th century that came right down through the Catholic Church, came right on through the Catholic Church into the Reformation churches. And most of them absolutely deny that God has any future plans for Israel, that Israel has been replaced by the Church. We just quoted it from Jeremiah 31, where it says, as long as the sun is still shining and the moon and the stars are seen at night, then God is not through with Israel.
Look at it in Jeremiah 31. Also about Christ dying spiritually on the cross, when he cried out, my God, my God, Why Haslam forsaken Me? That is when he took our sins upon himself, and he as a man was forsaken. If you go back to Psalm 22, it tells us those quotes a thousand years before he ever came. Psalm 22 says, My God, My God, Why Haslam forsaken Me? And apparently for that entire six hours on the cross, God turned his back upon the man’s in the man Christ, which he was made to be sinned for us.
Second Corinthians 521 is a beautiful verse that tells the story. It says, God made Christ to be sinned for us Christ who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God and Him. Now, God didn’t experience spiritual death, but the man Jesus, and of course you have to recognize that he is the God-man, but as a man, he became sin and he was separated and death in the Bible always means separation. Physical death is the separation of our soul and spirit from our body.
My soul and spirit will still be alive after the moment I die physically, and so it’s the separation of my soul and spirit from my body. I’m still very much alive and we’ll get a new body when Jesus comes back. we find that spiritual death is the separation from God. In Revelation 20, verse 14 it says, and death in Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is… The second death. And so it’s the second separation. The separation of your soul and spirit from God inhale forever and ever.
And certainly no one wants to experience that. But Christ died in our place and He experienced spiritual death by being separated from God on the cross when He cried out, my God, my God, my God, my hasthoth forsaken me. Six hours later, He says He yielded up His Spirit and He died physically. So in the same order as Adam sinned and was spiritually spiritually dead at the instant he took of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and Then later died physically Christ also died spiritually first and then secondly physically and there you have it and I hope that answers your question and the other is I forgot what the first question was when you throw three at me.
It’s hard to Get it. I might have to have you called me back on that first one. Thank you, mr. Anonymous. I hope that helps a lot But the Christ of course never went to hell, which the faith teachers talk about, like he just mentioned, and he paid for every sin on the cross when he died spiritually. And it says there on the cross, he said, it is finished. Christ did not pay for one sin after he died physically on the cross.
He did not go to hell. The Apostles Creed is wrong where it says he descended into hell. That is incorrect. Christ went to Paradise. Remember he said in Matthew 1240, it would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. In Luke 23, 43 he told the dying thief, today that shall be with me in Paradise. So we know Christ went to the heart of the earth to Paradise. And there he took all the Old Testament saints out of there.
And on the third day when he rose he emptied the place out and now Paradise is in heaven according to 2 Corinthians 12-3. Well I hope that helps and we’re going to now go on to Richmond, Virginia and we have Albert waiting on the line. Albert welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Yes sir. Sometimes I get up early in the morning and I watch these different programs and I’m not trying to discredit anybody. I just want to ask a question for my own information.
This one guy, Robert Tilton, he uses the verses and he uses the one in first Kings about when Elijah went to Zura Path, but he proves all and the piece of bread and the drink of water And he says that you have to give what you have in order to be blessed. And then his whole thing is about raising money. He raises millions for himself. He’s a very wealthy man. And he, otherwise, his theology is absolutely terrible. You don’t want to watch him or a lot of the other ones out there.
They’re going to really lead you down a false path. And Psalm 76, he says, you know, I’ll be cut off his spirit of the princess. And then in Job 22, he says, make a band pay it. And then, you know, and then if another guy comes on that doctor, I can’t think of his name. He’s got a mustache and all he sits down and talks to you the whole time about un-came and need. You need to plan on un-came and seed.
And I know that, you should have sent at least a thousand dollars. Oh yeah, he suggests a thousand dollars to begin with. Because they take faith. Well you know, this is really clear to nonsense. This is the health, wealth, and prosperity movement where they promise you wealth here on this earth. The Bible doesn’t teach that. The Bible teaches that, for example, in Timothy it says, all that will live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. I know, I just thought maybe some of your listeners would hear me and wouldn’t be taken in by.
Well, there you go. Maybe you’ve put out a warning here. Watch out for those who, instead of feeding the sheep, fleece the sheep. Christ never said to do that. Obviously, a lot of these are after your money and really don’t care much about your soul. We have Pat now and Pat’s in Richmond, Virginia also. Welcome to Bible Life. Thank you so much. Excuse me, I have something in my throat. I enjoy your program so very much. And my question is this.
I hear you speak often about salvation, believing in salvation. And what alarms me, just a little bit, is because when I was made a profession of faith, when I was 15, and I really wasn’t saved until I was 18, because I did not believe with my heart. I believe with my head. And in Doesn’t Romans 9, 10, and 11? Well, this is about believing with our heart and then making confession with our mouth that God has saved us. Well, really, this is a lot of confusion because you really believe with your mind.
You don’t believe with your heart. Your heart is a pumping organ. The King James translation translates as heart because in 1611 they thought that’s where you did your thinking processes. and in other cultures they would translate it your stomach or your bowels and everything else. And so that’s the confusion. Actually, what we’re talking about here is the difference between mental ascent and trust. And I know that I ascended to the facts of the life of Christ, and I wasn’t saved either, but when I was 18 I trusted that Christ died for me.
And that’s really the difference. Christ died. fact, Christ died for me, that’s salvation. And so you mentally assent the facts in your mind, but you also wind up trusting in your mind, the center of your thought processes, and it’s not really your heart. So many try to say that there’s 18 inches between heaven and hell, the distance between your brain and your heart, but that’s just causes more confusion because you really do your believing with your mind, and it’s there when you, the keyword his trust, T-R-U-S-T, and when you trust Christ, it’s then you become safe.
You’ve got to go to break and we’ll come back and do part two in just a minute. Thank you, Pat. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Englund’s room, and it’s wonderful to be with you. We do enjoy bringing Bibleline to you. And I really have to thank all of you who pray for and give the Bibleline because you’re the ones that are really bringing Bibleline to everyone because it’s your gifts to pay for the program.
I don’t have the money. I don’t get paid. My staff doesn’t get paid. We do this as a labor of love. We want the gospel to go out. And we take everything that comes in and just shove it out there to get this message out as far as we possibly can and you’re hearing the program today because of someone else who listens, who cares about you and is giving to Bible and to get us on the air. So you owe a debt of gratitude to those that are giving to carry the program in your area.
And maybe you’d like to be a Kuma partner. We could really use your help. We would like to, we believe Christ is coming soon. I don’t think that there’s a whole lot of time left until Christ will come back. I’m not a date setter, but you can see the world really getting scary. And shortly, if Iran gets atomic weapons, they would not hesitate to use them, not just against Israel, but I mean against us and against Europe and we’re really going to see a very, very violent world in the near future.
And I think that that’s exactly what the Bible predicts during the tribulation period, that It would be as good as it was in the days of Noah, and if you read Genesis 1611, it says any earth was filled with violence. Genesis 611. So, certainly we’re living. Watching it all un-fold, and I’m glad I’m leaving personally at the Rapture. But until we go, we want to give it our best shot, and you could help us. If you’d send a gift to the Bibleline, it’d be greatly appreciated.
You can send it to 4811. George Road in Tampa, Florida. The zip code is 336-334. You can also call our operators and give a gift by credit card over the phone. You can also go to our website by the line Ministries.org and go to our online bookstores to give or if you buy resources from us. That will also help my blinds stay on the air. But we really feel like this is a time for Christians to step up to the plate.
You know you can’t take it with you. And if the rapture happens shortly, let’s say in the next two months as we talked about that there’s a possibility it could. Possibility could. Wow. Won’t you look back and say, I wish I had done more. I wish I had really invested more into the things of God that will lay up treasures in heaven for you. I think it’s a smart idea. Anyway, we’re going to go back to the stations that have been on break.
If your station doesn’t care the second half, go to the internet and catch the full program on the internet at BibleLineMinistries.org or.com. And right now stay tuned, don’t change that dial. We’ll be right back for part two. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back through that break and it’s great to be with you.
Thanks again for tuning in to Bibleline. We hope that you’re enjoying the program and we hope that you’re helping us by passing along the word to your friends and getting them to listen. To help people in your church and your Sunday school class and tell your relatives and friends wherever they might live in this country or in other countries of the world how they can tune in to the Bible and program. And on the internet we have now 138 countries.
We just had two more, one in Africa and the Samoa Islands in the Pacific. We have really covered the globe all of Europe and Asia and Australia, New Zealand, Africa, South America, Central America and North America. And of course, our broadcast now go all across the eastern part of the United States from the Mississippi to the Atlantic and from up in Upper New York all the way down to Florida. So we’re excited about how God is expanding it. And also now we’re broadcasting down in Honduras.
And we’re excited about that, reaching to Guzicalpa the capital of Honduras and the islands off the coast there, the island of Rothen, which has 80,000 people. That’s right, 80,000 people can hear the broadcast Bibleline in Honduras. Many people in South America are downloading our programs and are enjoying. We are excited now that they can enjoy the television programs as well. As they are streamed on the internet and go to my website, click on that little TV site and you got it made.
We hope that you’ll take advantage of that. Maybe you’d like to help us keep Bible on going and expand and take care of the bills. We hate to talk about money. If I didn’t have to, I wouldn’t. But you know, it’s God’s plan. He wants us to share in the labor and share in the rewards. And as you invest of your time, talents, and623 treasures into the things of the Lord, he’s going to richly reward you for that. Paul says it in my love this verse, Philippians 4-17.
It changed my whole concept on giving forever where it says, not that I desire a gift. Paul says to the Philippian believers in Philippians 4-17, he’s saying here, I’m not trying to get your money. He says I desire fruit that may abound to your account. Do you want fruit to abound to your account? Has you invest in a ministry that is bearing fruit and reaching people and is accomplishing something for God that exalts God’s word and God’s word is preeminent and is actually impacting people’s lives?
As you invest in that. The fruit that is born by that ministry will count to your account in heaven. Isn’t that exciting? I’ll tell you, I wish I was living back in the times of Paul. I would have invested everything I had in his ministry. Boy, I’d love to have the fruit that he had abounding to my account. It wouldn’t let me something. Anyway, God bless all of you who give. We thank the Lord for you every day and we really couldn’t be able to do what we do without you.
If you have watched us grow from a little program here in Tampa, we never thought we would get outside of the city of Tampa, but God is putting us all over the world out through the internet. It’s really a miracle of God. God is using people just like you to make that miracle happen. As you give, you’re a part of it. You’re going to be sharing. That’s exciting. I hope that you’ll take advantage of that. we have time. What if the Lord came back this September at the Feast of Trumpets?
And you didn’t do anything. You’re just going to miss a great opportunity and the Lord will look at you and say, look, you knew that I was coming and you did nothing about it. And sometimes the Christians are that way. We miss the opportunities that are right there in our face to really take advantage of what God can do in our lives and how we can invest in eternity. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, and thanks. God bless you all.
Check out our TV program on the internet. You’ll love it. The quality is incredible. Voice quality and video quality is just in superb. You will definitely get hooked on that, I’m sure. We’re going to go to Ronnie and Tampa and Ronnie, thank you for calling in. Good morning, Hank. Thanks for taking my call. Alright, good to hear from you. I haven’t talked to you, I guess, a couple of free funds or whatever. But that did mean I haven’t been listening.
I’m sorry. Me and my family, we moved up since I’m white. Well the internet can get it for you. You can hear me loud and free 24 hours a day. Exactly. She does. That’s what she does. And I still get you on the road because I have to commute back and forth to Tampa. Wonderful, wonderful. I still get it. But I just wanted to make a comment on the paper that I saw. Joe Redder in there and the church without walls had given my guess of standing ovation.
He had mentioned something. I didn’t get a chance to read it. I had just thought I’d read that or not, but I thought something about it. I didn’t. But you know, when Christians honor the ungodly, we have just turned ourselves upside down. And no doubt about it. That’s just, I can’t say it’s anything right about it. And according to the Bible, elders and church leaders are responsible to guard the flock and not allow false teachers for sure and people that don’t even believe in God and he openly professes to be gay in front of your congregation.
Right. You know, I hadn’t felt going on it. He said, I did get, he said that, how do you say it? He said that if there were a God and that was his God, he said he would require more from his God than we’re requiring from ours. Boy, you know. Well, what a quote, huh? I would really believe so. It’s a part of the end times the Bible says they would not endure sound doctrine. Obviously, if you’re reading your Bible, this could never happen.
I am responsible as a pastor to not allow bad teaching to come into the church. Now, we reached out to the lost and we pray for those that don’t believe in God or agnostics or evolutionists or lost and we try to win them to Christ but we don’t give them a platform to be able to be applauded by our audience, that’s for sure. Yeah, I was astounded that they would do that. One other thing, you know, that I found interesting.
I was part of a multi-national peacekeeping force back in around 1981-82, and our job was to guard the Beirut International Airport. Up over there, it was torn apart, wasn’t usable. We came in with a multi-national peacekeeping force, and we got it back up running. And I find it interesting that now, here we are 20 years later, maybe 21-22, here we are again. I just thought where they bombed it again. It’s almost like here it goes again, but maybe this time it’s going to lead up to the big one.
Well, I think so. And here the Hezbollah back then, you know, we never paid them back for it, but they killed 240 of our Marines there in Baruch and we walked away and they, I think, feel like that was a sign of weakness on our part is we never have really confirmed this group and Israel is kind of laying low on it too but now they’re finally going to go after them which is the only thing that I think they can do.
Yeah the one leader said what do you say all out war? Yeah. War on every Friday called it. Alright sir, you have a great day Hank, we’ll continue to listen, we’ll continue to support and keep up the good fight. Amen. Thank you Ronnie and to your wife who’s listening apparently by the internet. Alright, we are now going to go to Donna in Fort Walton Beach and Donna, it’s nice to hear from you. Good morning, Pastor Hank. Are you catching that television on the Internet?
Yes, and loving it is really good and the quality is superb. Wonderful. It’s just great. I hope everybody will just give it a try because we sure do enjoy it. You’re up in the Pennhandle of Florida. There’s somewhere I guess East of Panama or West of Panama We are West of Panama City and East of Pensacola about 40 miles east of Pensacola. Okay good So well my question is I know spiritually what we’re supposed to be doing as believers in this soon-to-be return of Christ which very well could come this year or very soon we should be witnessing like never before giving to ministries such as yours that are really out to win the loss to Christ.
But I would like to know what your advice is for the practicalities of I’m talking about practical things that require money, but yet it may if you’re and savings for retirement, putting off physical tests that may be required, doing things on the house that need maintenance. I’m talking about practical things that require money that yet it may, if you see seem to tend to that it makes it seem like you’re not really thinking that Christ is going to return.
I know exactly what you’re saying. I think we have to have some kind of a balance here and maybe be a good time to I like the phrase somebody once said live. Let’s see here we should be planning is always not coming for a hundred years but living is always coming today so obviously we have to go on with life and I know my wife when she was in Bible college didn’t do some dental work because she felt like the Lord was coming back in but you know after we got married we had it all fixed and taken care of but some people just you know you don’t care for your health and obviously I think the Lord wants us to care for our bodies and temple that he uses you know for us to be here and be a witness for him in this world.
I think we have to kind of get some kind of a balance and make plans and yet live with the excitement of the fact that he could come in any day. So we still have to pay our bills and we still have to, you know, we can’t neglect any of those things. There are certain things that we have to take care of and do the best we can and then try to live excitedly that he could come right away.
And so somehow we had to come up with a blend of the two to make it turn out right. Because we don’t want to be foolish, you know. Right. You have to be as stewards with your money not only in the spiritual giving but in the way that you’re, you know, living. And I don’t believe in living extravagantly. But you know what I’m saying, keeping up with your maintenance of your house and a car that’s going to drive things like that.
I was just thinking of the practical things and I didn’t want to, I just wanted some clarification because of being close to retirement. Of course, my husband has to contribute to 401K and savings, but do these other spiritual things too and be ready. I think you have to get some sort of balance there. I like Dr. Ryrie’s book we have it here in our resource center called Balancing the Christian life. It’s a wonderful job of trying to get Christians to get some balance because there’s so many areas where you can become unbalanced.
And so as we kind of balance everything out, and I think that as we mature as believers, we get a better feel for that. But we have to be, I think always conscious and aware that we have to find some balance here because we can, you know, say, well, I got to go out and preach to the world and just abandon everything that you’re responsible for and go out and do it would be wrong. So, if we have families and other things that we have to take care of, we obviously have to be responsible to do that.
Paul, of course, in the days of those persecutions in Corinthian says, if you’re not married in this time of persecution, it’d be better if you just stayed single because then you could really be more effective as a Christian in days when persecutions were really severely persecuted than if you were married and had children which would restrict the amount of time you could spend. But of course if you’re married you’re not supposed to get a divorce so you can be free to do that.
Obviously you’ve got to take care of where you find yourself and take care of your responsibilities as well as include time for the ward. Right. The balance of the key because some people could go off the deep end one way or the other. I think you know what I’m saying. Absolutely. And there are people who do that really extremely. And obviously we have to kind of balance it out. We’ve got certainly, we have to do every day. We have to eat every day.
We have to get our rest. Says back in the Psalms, God given his beloved rest. So he wants us to get enough hours of sleep so that we can function and think correctly and clearly when we’re operating in the daytime and we need to eat right and not neglect our health needs and that’s all important. Okay, and I just wanted to make a point back, like I said, we’ve been watching your Your Bibleline shows on lightforce.com. But I didn’t realize until I was on there yesterday that on your website, on Bibleline website, if you go click on the videos, you also have different dot Bibleline TV shows from your website from Bibleline TV.
We’re recommending is everybody go off our website because then you get all those archives. If you just go to lightsource.com you’re only going to get, I don’t know what you get, maybe three, but you get about 20 something programs. If you just stay with my website and operate off of that you’re going to be fine. Right. I guess we didn’t realize we were going straight to light source. Then we got back on your website and it was great. great.
We’ve seen all of them before except for your new ones that we’re enjoying going back to them and watching them. Very good, Donna. So it’s a wealth of information and people can stay busy. It’s just a fantastic website. Donna, thank you all. You have a good day. Alright, Babana. It was Donna in Fort Walton Beach and we’re now going to go to Mr. Anonymous. This one is in St. Petersburg. I said they’re all over the place. Here we have a Mr.
Anonymous in say Pete today. All right. Welcome to my blend. I just call you. I was going. Oh, you were you were Tampa the last time. At least they wrote all my screen that you were. No, I was in sight. The last time. Okay. Well, good. I was calling you about Billy Graham and what is his name because he is a free mason and he’s dealing with the O’Cote and I wanted to kind of get a comment because every ministry that I’ve called, they do not come in on Billy grand.
They need to hang up the phone or they won’t talk to you about Billy Graham because he’s somebody who’s world recognized. He’s an icon. Yeah. Billy Graham, I don’t know about his association with that, but he doesn’t believe in literal hell. It’s quite clear he believes hell is metaphorical and a number of things like that where I think his theology as weak and so on. So all I can say is that he’s, you know, you have to check out everybody individually and I wouldn’t spend my time on that.
I’d spend my time on trying to reach the lost and give out a clear gospel and a clear message to people. But definitely the Freemasons are off and I don’t believe we should have associations with groups that false in their teachings. So I would say if I had a chance to recommend anybody who’s in the Freemasonry to get out of it. And if Graham is in it, then I think that’s something that he should not have done. So I had to tell you or not.
We have Edgar in Pittsburgh, Virginia, Edgar, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. I’m Colin about Exodus 20, the latter verse of 5 and verse 6 in Jeremiah 31, 29 and 30. I need you to delineate and elucidate all those verses for me. Okay, and then what do they deal with? They deal with what, the Sabbath? Actually, there’s 20, 20 and five that’s entertained the nickety of the fathers upon the children until the third and fourth generations of them that hate me.
And verse six says, and showing mercy until thousands of them that love me, they keep my commitment. Okay, you know, that’s really true Edgar, where people hate the Lord and the hatred and the unbelief is passed down to their future generations. That certainly has happened within Islam. The hatred of Muhammad is still seen today in the modern generation that is following the teachings of Islam. Notice how barbaric and I don’t know if you read about the soldier they captured in Gaza, but this is just yesterday I think that they killed him and then they took him in front of a mosque and they stripped him naked and then dismembered his body and and they all came out of the mosque and celebrated and danced with joy.
And how barbaric, how awful. But really I was told that that was a religious ceremony where basically Allah had given him into their hands and they celebrated the power of God. Allah, the false God, in this desecration of this boy’s body. I mean, what a sad thing. It’s a very violent and vicious religious system and I think it is the curse that the Bible talks about. Back in Daniel 9-11, you might remember that verse 9-11 very easy because of then 11 here in our country.
But it said that God in the last days would send a curse. And the word curse, if you look it up in the Hebrew, is the word Allah. And so I think Allah in Islam is the curse that’s come upon the earth in this last day. And it’s a terrible curse. Look at the violence and look at the, I mean, deliberately targeting innocent children and people blowing them up and killing them is a real tragedy. is really really sad.
Alright we’re going to go now to Pat in Richmond and Pat welcome to Bible I think I almost had here and okay Pat welcome to Bible I. Yes I got cut off I had another part to my question that I asked a while ago okay with the heart. The question I have is in Mark 115 and in Mark 612 and particularly in Luke 13.3 what I think I did at 15 was I had a head knowledge of facts. Right and that’s what I was saying.
Hang on to my sin and I did not want anybody being an authority over me and telling me what to do. I wanted a ticket out of hell but I didn’t want Lord and Savior of my life so there was no repentance. And in Luke 13, the Bible says, except you repent, you will likewise perish. Isn’t that what John preached? Well you know this is again a total misunderstanding of what repentance is all about. The Greek word repent means to change your mind and if If you notice that passage in Luke 13, it has nothing to do with turning from sin or sorrow for sin.
He’s talking there in Luke 13 about their thinking was totally wrong and they needed to change their mind. If you read that passage carefully, it’s talking about a news event. It talks about in verse 1 that they were present at that season. Some that told him of the Galileans whose blood pilot had mingled with their sacrifices. Verse 2, Jesus answering them, said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galileans were sinners above all Galilean because they suffered. Basically in their mind, they were saying, boy, they deserved it.
They were terrible rotten sinners. And that’s why they got what they deserved. But we’re wonderful. We’re OK. And notice it says they’re Suppose ye in verse 2. Well, in verse 3, says, I tell you, no, that’s not true, except you repent. The word repent means change your mind. In other words, what they were thinking was wrong, and he says, change your mind. you’re going to perish. What he’s saying is that those who are self-righteous and think they’re okay and think that those who have bad things happen to them in this life are deserving of what they’ve got because they’re bad but I’m okay is false.
And he says the same thing again in verse 4 where 18 people, a tower falls on them and they were killed. Then he says, think he, think he, think he, think he. In other words, their thinking was wrong. Thinking that they were sinners above all men that were in Jerusalem. Basically, saying that they were okay but those guys got what they deserved. I tell you next, if you change your mind you’re going to be perish. They didn’t realize change your mind about and recognize that they were a sinner in need of a Savior and that their self-righteousness was going to cause them to really go to hell if they were going to trust in being good to get there.
They had to trust in Christ but nowhere does the Bible ever say turn from sin or be sorry for sin to be saved. It has nothing to do with it. It is when you trust Christ. But I agree with you that a lot of people are sent to the historical facts of the life of Christ and are not saved. It is when you trust Him as the one who made the full payment for your sin. It is not when you decide to live for Him.
Deciding to live for Christ is discipleship and brings about rewards. But if you try to be saved by obeying Christ and being a disciple, you’ll again get it held because again that’s the self-righteousness. You were sinners lost and not capable of saving ourselves. And there’s no condition upon our salvation except to trust that Christ died for us and made the full payment for our sin. the night I trusted Christ. I had been turned off by my church and I said to God that night I’ll never serve you, but I’ll take you up on your free gift.
And I finally got salvation, but I had never heard until that night that I had to trust Christ to be saved. I was always told I had to work to be saved and of course I never really get the answers to my questions in my church. But when I finally trusted Him, I had to turn left to them during that next year. worked on my life, I was then his child and he brought me to the place where all alone on the University of Florida campus, I dedicated my life to Christ and I’ve been serving him ever since.
But salvation is a gift. You cannot earn it. It has nothing to do with deciding not to live for Christ where you weren’t living for Christ before. It has to do with trusting in his finished work that that’s the only means by which you can be saved. I never denied the historical facts about the life of Christ, but I had never had trusted Him, and when I did, that’s when I got saved. Thank you for your call. We’ve got lots of people still waiting on the line.
I’m sorry. We’re out of time. And I will catch you all tomorrow. Call back please. And I hope everybody’s trusted Christ. And I hope you have a wonderful day. Don’t forget to come out to classes tonight if you’re in the Tampa area. That’s at seven tonight. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming. Alright, I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and I’ve enjoyed bringing Bible Eye and Tea today. We’ve had a good time. I hope you’ve enjoyed the program and hopefully you’re checking things out in your Bible and I hope you don’t trust anybody. But God in His Word and check out what I’m saying is right because the Bible teaches it and investigate and believe what the Word of God has to say because that’s the final authority.
And if you are in line with the scriptures, then you’re going to be right. But it’s amazing to me how many people have wrongly defined terms. And sometimes because of the translation we use, the word repent, for example, comes from the Greek word metanoia, which means a change of mind. And it doesn’t mean term from sin. It doesn’t mean sorrow for sin. And when you simply change your mind about Christ and trust Him, you become saved. You can repent without believing, but you can’t believe without repenting.
In other words, you can change your mind about Christ and about how you’re saved and everything, but not believe or not trust Him. But when you trust Him, you do repent in the process. You do change your mind from whatever you’re previously trusting in to trusting in Christ. Please, for one, we’re trying to reach out to as many as we can, trying to expand our ministries as wisely as we can and we could use your help if you’d like to pray for us and also become a partner and help support Bible and that would be wonderful.
Call our operators, they’ll tell you how to give a gift either by mail and they’ll give you the address or by credit card over the phone and they’re from our internet online bookstore. There’s a place there to donate or give a gift to Bible and we’re concerned about your salvation. I hope everybody understands that unless you trust Christ alone, you cannot be saved. If you think there is something that you can do to contribute, you are wrong. You can do nothing but simply trust Christ.
