Having a baptism this Sunday and if you’re in driving distance and you’d like to be baptized at our baptism at about 3 o’clock in the afternoon and it will be after one of our wonderful dinners. So if you want to come and make it a day you can come to the morning Sunday school and adult education. You can join my class. You can be at the 1030 service and then you can stay for the dinner and then you can join us for the baptism at 3 in the afternoon.

We’ll make it a big day. Many… In any case, water baptism is a testimonial of your faith in Jesus Christ. Water baptism has never been nor will it ever be a means of salvation or the securing of the remission of your sins. If you were baptized as an infant, it doesn’t count. There is no such thing in the Bible as infant baptism. Also if you were baptized before you were saved, it doesn’t count. What were you giving testimony to water baptism is done by somebody who has already been saved as a Testimony of the fact that they have been cleansed of their sin by the blood of Jesus Christ And if you have not been water baptized and you live within driving distance We invite you this Sunday the third Sunday our dinner Sunday to come and join us and we will be glad to be

the one to baptize you I’d be honored. That’ll be a 10-30 morning worship service. Then you can stay for the dinner that will follow and then we’ll drive north of our church just a few miles to a beautiful lake. One of our church members has and will be baptizing outdoors in the lake at three o’clock. So if you have any questions called and you can get your name on the list and we can tell you about what you need to do.

But we’d love to have you be a part of that. There are ten different baptisms taught in the New Testament. There’s the baptism of John the Baptist, Matthew 3.11. There’s the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 3.11. There’s the baptism of fire, which is hell, Matthew 3.11. There’s the baptism of Jesus Christ, Matthew 3.13 through 17. There’s the baptism of death, Matthew 20 verse 22. the baptism of pots and pans. Mark 7.4 There is the baptism of Moses. 1 Corinthians 10.2 There is the baptism of believers.

Acts 8, 36-37. And there is the baptisms that they performed in the Old Testament. Hebrews 9, 10 talks about the diverse baptisms of the Old Testament. And then there is a tenth baptism which is called the baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and there are numerous verses, 1 Corinthians 6, 11 and so on. We know that water baptism is not a condition of salvation. Salvation is God’s gift, Romans 6, 23. It is received by faith alone in Christ alone without works Ephesians 2, 8, 9.

The Bible teaches that when a person believes the gospel message, the message of the death, the bare of the resurrection of Christ, that that person then becomes saved. When he believes or trusts the message, he becomes saved. Paul says in Romans 1-16, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for if the gospel is the power of God and desalvation to everyone that believeeth. We learn from 1 Corinthians 1-17 that water baptism is not a part of that gospel message that saves.

Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 1-17, Christ sent me not to baptize, but He sent me to preach the gospel. So here we have the gospel and water baptism contrasted. We also note that Paul says in verse 14 of 1 Corinthians 1, I thank God that I baptize none of you. But two families here, he mentions Christmas and Gaius, think with me. If water baptism were part of the gospel and necessary to salvation, Paul would be saying, I thank God that none of you are saved.

This is obviously unthinkable. So therefore, we learn without question that water baptism is not a part of the saving message of the gospel. It is not a condition for salvation. Everyone that becomes a believer is baptized by the Holy Spirit at the moment of belief. That is the placing of the believer into the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12-13 says, For by one spirit are we all baptized into one body. Whether we be Jew or Greek, Bond or Free, we’ve all been made to drink into one spirit.

The result is verse 27 of 1 Corinthians 12, where it says, now you… The Holy Spirit takes the believer at the moment of belief and places you into the body of Christ. You are immersed into Christ’s body. That baptism, called the baptism in the Holy Spirit, takes place for every believer. It has nothing to do with speaking in tongues, by the way. When you trust Christ, you do receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Every believer does. First Corinthians 12, 13, and the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit.

Let me quote it again, for by one spirit are we all? All, a-l-l-l-l-l-l-baptized into one body. That body in the context there is the body of Christ. And so therefore God positionally sees you and me in Christ’s body. So when Christ was crucified, you were crucified. When Christ was buried, you were buried. When Christ came back from the dead, you came back from the dead. When Christ ascended to heaven, you ascended to heaven. When Christ was seated in heavenly places, you were seated in heavenly places in Christ.

That’s why it’s impossible for you to be lost, not only because you’re already seen in Christ in heaven seated with Christ in the heavenlies, but also to be lost a part of the body of Christ would have to be severed. I love the story of the little lady that went out of a church where the pastor believed that you could lose your salvation. She told him at the church door, I can’t lose my salvation because Christ is holding me in His hand.

He gave a sly reply and he says, be careful that you don’t slip out between the fingers. She said, oh no Pastor, that can’t happen because I am the fingers. Wow, what an answer. In Ephesians it tells us we’re members of his body, of his flesh and of his bones. So somebody for you to be lost once you become saved would have to take a hacksaw and cut off a part of the body of Jesus Christ. You can’t be lost once you’re saved.

You’re a member of the body of Christ, members of his body, of his flesh, of his bones. You cannot possibly be lost. But if you die without Christ, then you’ll experience the baptism, all the baptism of fire. Some churches have a little symbol of fire outside and they offer the baptism of fire. I think they probably can deliver, but it’s hell. You don’t want to go to that church. You don’t want to receive the baptism of fire. You see, Christ is the baptizer.

If you read Matthew chapter 3, then He will either baptize you with Holy Spirit and place you into the body of Christ and you’re saved and saved eternally. Or if you reject Christ, you’ll be baptized with fire. You will be cast into the furnace of fire that will never be quenched and your soul will never die. So you don’t want to have that happen. Now water is just symbolic. Water is a picture. We have a devil that called in yesterday from Hudson, Florida.

She says, why do you say that we have to be baptized when Jesus walked the earth and he never baptized anyone? Because Christ is the one that asked us to be baptized as a testimony of our faith in Christ. happens if you don’t save Donna in upstate New York calls in and says do you have to be baptized? What if you don’t? Well just like the dying thief you’ll still be saved. Remember he never had a chance to get water baptized and Jesus said to him today they’ll show me with me in paradise but you’re really being as a believer disobedient at least in that area of your Christian life and it is apparently a picture of your resistance to obedience to Christ.

As a believer, I think we need to be submissive to Christ in every area, and that’s one of the things he asked us to do, including also to observe the Lord Supper. Neither one bring about salvation. Both are pictures of how we’re cleansed of our sin by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. But I pray that you are saved, and that happens when you trust Christ as your Savior. If you haven’t done that, you can do it right now.

He could tell the Lord, Lord, I am a sinner, but I believe Jesus died and paid for my sins in full by the death and shed blood. I believe He was buried. I believe He came back again from the dead. And the moment you trust Christ, God, up in heaven knows and He saves you. Then you need to make a second choice. Live for Christ. That brings about rewards and blessings, but our service to Christ doesn’t bring about our salvation.

It’s not what you do for God that saves is what God did for you at the cross. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline. Great to be with you. I want to remind you that this Thursday, that’s right, the 17th of August, we have Gershaun Solomon. He’s already here in the country. He’ll be here Thursday night, head of the Temple Mount Taitl. Lives in Jerusalem. The Bible, the Bible tells us that a temple needs to be rebuilt and Krshan has felt ever since that moment that God has called him to rebuild that third temple.

They’ve been cutting the stones. Everything is ready and wouldn’t it be interesting to hear what he has to do? to say coming back from this war in the Middle East, coming back from another attempt to lay the cornerstone on the 9th of the most infamous day in Jewish history. And he’ll be full of excitement, I’m sure. And if you’re in driving distance, come and see him this Thursday night, the 17th of August at 7 o’clock for a couple of hours, we will record it.

And so if you don’t live in driving distance, you will be able to get, I think, a video presentation of the evening so you might want to inquire or order that. I’m Dr. Inkland, stream of the phone number here is 1-800-576-3771, that’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to go ahead and go to the phone lines. We have Ray in Lakeland, Florida, and Ray, welcome to Vibeline, you’re on the air. Hello, Hank, how you doing? Good. Listen, I have a question and I’ll hang up after I ask it and listen.

My girlfriend has Bible tracks that she passes out. It talks about inviting and asking price in your heart and that you have a door in your heart and God and other side and you can open it on all the stuff. It doesn’t seem right to me. It doesn’t seem like the gospel of salvation to me, the way they were. No one on the track doesn’t even mention heaven or the word salvation or anything. At the end of the track it uses reverse Revelation 320 I believe right the whole list out of the door now, right?

And so I’m gonna wait hang up but I can you just talk about that sure? Am I making a big a big deal of it or am I wrong? I believe you’re right on Ray and That is not the gospel that is a false gospel because Because you have to trust that Jesus died and shed his blood in order to be saved. I was a victim of that teaching in the church I was raised with and I invited Christ into my heart every Sunday.

We had a chorus we would sing into my heart, into my heart, come into my heart Lord Jesus, come into day, come into stay, come into my heart Lord Jesus. All that chorus is all messed up theologically. And then we’d have a moment of silence. And I had a series of prayers I developed based upon that chorus. And I would say, Lord, if you came in my heart and then you’ve left, I want you, if you would, come back into my heart and this time would you stay.

And if you’ve never come into my heart, Lord Jesus, would you come in today and would you come in to stay? And so on and so on and so on. Well, I have a great article that I’ve written about this in my, if you have internet access, go to my website, BibleLineMinistries.org or .com and click on Dr. Lindstrom’s articles and there you’ll have one that I wrote about my testimony and about into my heart. But it’s a false message.

No word does the Bible ever say for you to invite Christ into your heart or life to be saved. That verse in Revelation 3, 20 that they use so often, is really talking about the door of the Church of Laodicea. Not talking about the door of your heart or your life. And what was happening there is that church was operating without fellowship with Christ. They apparently felt they were okay. If you read the passage, they said that you say that you’re rich and increased with goods and you are doing fine and you don’t realize that spiritually you are naked and blind and bankrupt really.

So Christ as I ask you to receive my counsel that you may have rewards, gold, tried in the fire at the judgment seat of Christ. And he says, I am standing at the church door and if anybody will open the door I will be glad to come into the church and fellowship with you. But obviously that church had the door closed to Christ even though they were Christians. They were moving along in the flesh and really did not spend time and fellowship with the Lord.

It is not talking about the door of your heart. There is no verse anywhere in scripture that says that you would invite Christ in your heart unless you trust Christ. That is the key word. Unless you trust Christ that he died and shed his blood, you will not be saved. And generally those tracts do not even address that. of the Gospels not given, and the message will not save, and so you’re wasting your time. You’re wasting your time. So Revelation 3.20 is not a salvation verse.

Read it carefully. He’s standing at the door of the church of Laodicea knocking. And he’s asking, if anybody will open the door, he says, I will come into the church to you and will sup with you. That means he would have supper with you. That speaks of fellowship because back in the… Back in those days, they would take a lot of time to talk around the dinner table. And if you’ve ever eaten in Europe or in the Middle East, they usually take a long time at meal time.

It’s a time for relaxation, enjoy your meal and talk. And being an American, I remember my first trip, they would serve things one at a time. I would finish my first plate and I’d signal the waiter, hey I’m ready to go for plate number two and we had to wait Well everybody finished course number one and then they would serve course number two And I was just absolutely fit to be tied because I was used to the to the fast food type of situation But you just can’t speed them up.

They wouldn’t Come to be and give me course number two or course number three or dessert until everybody else had finished their first course, second course, third course, and of course that’s what Christ is talking about, having fellowship coming into the church, he would have supper with them and they would just be able to sit down and talk. So you’re right on Ray and thank you for that call from Lakeland, Florida. Ken and Larry called in from Lakeland, Florida, off here, and they say in Matthew 27 the curtain in the temple was torn.

It says that there were earthquakes and in saints that were dead rose and appeared. What was this all about? Well, obviously, the holy of holies in the temple was a place where only the high priest could go once a year and he had to take blood when he went to sprinkle on the mercy sheet. But when Christ died, he opened the way for us to be able to enter right into the very presence of God. And so symbolically, God tore that curtain, and by the way it was torn, if you read the Scripture carefully in 1927, from the top to the bottom.

If it were torn by men, they would have torn it from the bottom to the top, but God tore it from the top to the bottom. And so now as a believer, the Bible says we can, according to Hebrews, chapter 10, verse 19 we can have boldness to enter into the very holiest into the presence of the Lord as a believer. Thank God that the veil that separated the place where God resides from us and we now can enter into his presence.

Also, there was a sampling of the resurrection as many of the saints who slept arose and they went into Jerusalem and appeared to many, and we know that Christ is called the first fruits of the resurrection. He rose on the Feast of First Fruits. You can read about it in Leviticus 23. In 1 Corinthians 15 verses 23-22 it says Christ is the first fruits of the resurrection. That was a harvest feast, and what they would do is go out into the fields and grab some handfuls of grain come in and present that to the priest as a sampling of the harvest that would come.

And of course Christ, when he came back from the dead, presented a sampling of the future resurrection that you and I will be in. And so he took a sampling of those Old Testament saints, gave them the resurrection bodies, and they walked into the city of Jerusalem, and they were obviously the waiving of the grain was a picture of the harvest Christ did that with the sampling. Thank you for that question, Ken and Larry in Lakeland. We have Lucius in Tampa off the air and he says, do you have to be baptized in the name of Jesus?

Well, certainly I don’t want to be baptized in the name of Allah or Muhammad or Confucius or Buddha and absolutely. So some though say in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, I don’t believe that there is a real big deal about that. But yes, the name of Jesus or the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit is fine. Lucius, thank you for that question. We have Phil in O gotha, Kansas, and he is through the Bible with West Velvet.

He says only the blood will save you. That is true. And only the blood of Christ will save anyone. Christ’s blood paid for the sins of all those that were in the Old Testament as well as those in the New Testament and those in the Old Testament look forward to a sacrifice at Calvary. Even Abel, you read about in Hebrews 11-4, offered up a more excellent sacrifice than Cain by which he obtained witness that he was righteous. So when Cain He was given testimony by his sacrifice as to what he believed about how to be saved.

He was saved by offering the sacrifice of a lamb which spoke of Christ, but he was saved by faith in Christ, and Hebrews 11-4 makes that very clear. Thank you for that question. And the blood of Christ is… is the only means by which anyone can be saved in any age. Alright, Robert in Utikin, New York calls in and he says, how can they build a temple where the old temple was when the mosque is there? Well, there are two mosques there, Robert, and they’re both to the south of where the ancient Jewish temple stood.

I believe they’ll be able to build a temple to the north, And according to Ezekiel chapter 44 verse 20, there will be a wall of separation of 500 reads long and 500 reads wide that will separate the third temple that will be built after the rapture from the profaned area that is profaned by the two air mosques that are on the Temple Mount. So that’s the answer, I believe it will be built. And the mosque will remain until Christ returns, and he will destroy them.

but there will be a wall of separation to separate them from the rest. And so you can look at that in Ezekiel 42. All right, we have Mark in Lakeland, Florida, and Mark, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Brother, how are you doing today? Good, we just got a few seconds. So before breaks, what is your question? Sure, real quick. As I tell you, a lot of us accepted Jesus as a child. It’s hard to think back even as to exactly what we said or how we felt or what we knew as far as we grow older, we learn more and more.

How do we know exactly how we felt at the time of our salvation as opposed to what we really know is truth today? Well, I’m going to hold that question until after the break because the clock just says we’re coming up on break. Hold on and don’t go away. And everybody hold on because we’ll be right back after this short break and do Bible line part two. Stay tuned. We’ll be right back. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771.

Alright I’m Dr. Englunds from, and we’ve had a few problems this morning with our equipment, but thank you for being patient with us. We try to get these resolved, but I think there’s a spiritual warfare going on really that gives us havoc here sometimes when the devil doesn’t want us to speak on these issues I think and he does, he’s the prince of the power of the air, you know, Ephesians 2-2 and he definitely wants to hinder. If you want to, you can hear this programming in and other programs by going to the internet and there you’ll find us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, It’s wonderful.

Alright we’re back for the break and it’s great to be with you today and we’ll let you know this Thursday. If you’re in driving distance, we’re having Gershahn Solomon.

He is an Orthodox Jew. He is from Jerusalem. He stood on the Temple Mount when Mosheldai’an in the Six Day War captured Old Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. As the soldiers stood on the Temple Mount platform, they wept. It was the first time in 2000 years that the Jews had their Temple Mount back. Ever since, he has been committed to cutting the stones and getting them ready. are ready now for the third temple which we believe will be built after the rapture and so it tells us we’re probably very close.

You might want to get to hear him and meet him. He’ll be here August 17, Thursday night from 7 to about 9.30. We invite you to come and be a part of that this coming Thursday. This coming Sunday we’re having a dinner day which is always a great time to come and visit us whether you are coming from near or far. And then also we are having a baptism at three in the afternoon. So following the dinner we will motorcade up a couple of miles north of Bibleline headquarters here at Calvary and we will have a baptism at a lake at a beautiful lake side which one of our church members is their home and we will have a beautiful outdoor baptism.

I’d love to have you be a part of it if you have not been baptized. Since you have been saved, then you ought to be water baptized in obedience to Christ’s command. It doesn’t save you. Water baptism doesn’t bring about salvation. It is a testimony about how you were saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. Only the blood of Christ can wash away our sin. The air writer got it right. He said, what can wash away my sin? The answer is nothing but the blood.

nothing but the blood of Christ could ever wash away your sins. One of my favorite verses is Revelation 1-5, under him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. Jesus is the one who died and by his death and shed blood he has washed away our sins. So that will be this Sunday, and welcome to be a part. Also on the internet you can watch our Bible on TV programs and you can watch or listen to our radio programs and you might want to go there to BibleLineMinistries.org.

Click on the TV set in the upper right-hand corner of the home page and you’ll be able to connect to the television programs or the radio programs anytime of day and from anywhere in the world. Maybe you have friends in other countries, other parts of the world. Email them right I am honored to tell them that they can be listening to Bible and watching Bible and on the internet. That is exciting. I will tell you. We have 142 countries that have logged on and we have 11,000 listeners to the radio program on the internet.

They are amazing. We are just as surprised as anybody to see how God has wonderfully blessed. If you would like to be a part of Bible and you can pray for us, you can also give a gift by credit card or mail in a gift and that address will be given later in the program. Get your pencil rating or call and our operators will recite it or send you an envelope with the address already printed on it. We’re going to go to Mark in Lakeland, Florida, who’s been holding and Mark, welcome to Bible 1.

I think you need to start all over and go ahead and state your question again. Sure, well there’s obviously nothing more important than our salvation and a lot of accepted Jesus as a child and it’s just hard to think back obviously of the exact terminology we used or exactly our knowledge at the time that we accepted Jesus and now if we grow older and learn more and more, how do we in our minds make sure I guess that we get it right at that time?

Well you know, all you can know is that you’re saved right now. I wouldn’t worry about at what point exactly. I know that for 18 years I was raised in church and really never heard the gospel explained and I was always influenced by this thing of end to your heart. And I would go to bed at night scared because I didn’t know whether Christ came in or whether he left or whether he was coming or going or. I was just totally confused.

because we really weren’t taught the Bible. My whole theology came from that little chorus, our church sang. But as long as you get it right now, that’s all that really counts. And you can say, at least I’m saved now. And once you’re saved, you’re saved forever. So it settles forever. So I don’t like to have people go back and worry about whether they were or were not when they were younger. When you know you’re saved now, that’s what counts.

And then move forward and let that be. Obviously, so that others are not confused, we need to be clear so that we don’t confuse people that we’re talking to. We need to be very clear that eternal life is a gift and it can only be received by placing our trust. That’s the best English word that says it. The Greek word, pestuo, p-i-s-t-e-u-o, is translated, believe throughout the New Testament. And it really means more than mental assent, it means actually to trust.

And I never had a problem with assenting to the facts about the life of Christ, but I never had trusted that he died for me. And that’s what brings about salvation. I like to say it this way. Christ died, that’s a history fact. But Christ died for me, that’s salvation. When I personally trust him as the one who died to pay for my sins was buried in Rose again from the day this then that god saves me so it’s a simple message but what a devil does a good job of messing it up and letting it up so people just get confused over the simplest message in all the world complicated that they’re not they definitely try to confuse us with that that is his job and boy does a good job you know i i think of second cringley’s four four were satan’s called the god of this

world and it says he blinds the minds of those which believe not last the light of the glorious gospel of Christ should shine unto them and I know he was successful in my life for eighteen years even though I was raised in church. He kept me blinded. Some people are blinded forty years, fifty years, sixty or seventy years. We’ve had some people to Christ in their eighties here recently and they’ve been blinded for eighty years. One guy that sits now in the third row of my church says that he was blinded for sixty He just thanks God that he finally found this message and he’s so excited he can’t hardly stand it once to tell everybody in his family and all of his friends about the gospel and it’s doing a good job of it.

Well I appreciate that. Keep spreading the message. Okay, thank you Mark in Lakeland, Florida. Alright, if you want to call in you may we have a caller from Pensacola, Florida. We’re on the air up there in Pensacola every day and Anthony calls in and he leaves an an unfair question, and he says, you say that the Holy Spirit is immediately received upon believing. But it appears in the book of Acts in its Samaria when Peter and John prayed and laid hands on the people that they received the Holy Spirit.

This seems to be a separate event. Well, obviously you’re very right that it seems that way. But what happened was that when Philip preached, if you read carefully, they believed Philip was a better miracle worker than Simon the Sorcerer. But when Peter and John got there, I believed they detected that these people were not saved yet. They asked a couple goodDepends and then they discovered they weren’t saved. I believe they explained and as they embraced the people and prayed, they apparently believed and received not only salvation but the Holy Spirit.

And it wasn’t because they laid hands on them, it was because these people finally got saved. The same thing happens in chapter 19. You have some disciples of John the Baptist. And Paul asked a very good question. He says, did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? And they said we don’t even know if there is any such thing as the Holy Spirit. Excuse me. And Paul turns that they’re unsaved, he explains the gospel. Boom. right there. So, chapter 19 and chapter 8 are both good and if you have internet access you’ll find my paper that I wrote called, was Simon Saved.

Goes through that whole story and I say as to what really happened and you might want to take a look at that. Or if you don’t have internet access we can mail you that paper that I wrote and you’ll find it. Very interesting. We already answered Robert’s question in Utica, New York, and now we’re going to go to Jeff in Venice, Florida. And Jeff leaves this question off here. If the Jews are keeping the law, how do they atone for their sins?

Sensor is no temple for sacrifices. How do they explain this? And obviously they don’t have a good answer. It’s a great witnessing tool to point out to the Jew that they don’t have a sacrifice and Leviticus 1711 says it is the blood that Make it an atonement for the soul so the Jews don’t have a blood sacrifice so they’re in trouble They need a blood sacrifice and they can’t do it without the temple of Jerusalem. That’s why they want to get it built again but also Christ is that sacrifice that pays for the sins of both the Jews and the Gentiles.

Well we have an other color from Venice, Florida. This one’s live on the air. We have Kent in Venice, Florida. Kent, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hey Pastor Hank, how you doing? Yeah, this the, oh good grief. What’s the name of it? Can’t even think of it now. caught me off guard. Okay. The war on business on the on the on that different service driven life. I’m sorry on the purpose driven life. Yes. Yes. I heard your explanation on that.

And I’ve got a book on that. In fact, I’m into right now reading that that I’ve got from your place. Now who you’re talking to here is on the limo driver that comes up and I’ve met you. Oh, yes. I’ve remember meeting you. Yeah, you better. I didn’t think I was going to go on there this quick. Well you’re on. Today that was great. That was wonderful. Now what’s his business with the wood diversity of the day on cross stations down here in Inglewood?

Well absolutely. They made the information on that happening. Yeah they had a 80,000 people participated via satellite to the seminar they had around the world and the keynote speaker was somebody who had gone to an Eastern meditation and said that this lightning bolt had come up from his inner being and went up to the sky and he discovered his divineness that he is a God. And so this is the craziness, the New Age teaching that I cannot believe that Will Creek would have him as a keynote speaker but this is a new age it is a contrary to scripture uh…

that’s the lie that satan told in the garden that we would be like god if we aided the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of an evil and and this is thing that is permeating everywhere in fact uh… uh… in fact in our schools uh… and teacher last night said it’s just permeates everywhere they tell the children to look within themselves and and dig down deep in themselves and they’ll find the force the strength you know it’s like Star Wars and and this thing about there’s an inner force and inner being which is really this new age teaching is is everywhere today right now do you have information on that in your in your library there none of this recent conference I do have some emails of people who sent me about this keynote speaker and where he has apparently written a book about his experience where he discovered

his divineness and so on. But I think that’s amazing how that we have gifted so far from the Bible that we really want to hear these experiences and we’re not experiencing the Bible. That’s part of what it says in Second Timothy that people would want their ears tickled and they would turn away their ears from the truth from the Bible and be turned into fables or lies or fiction and that’s exactly what’s happening and we need to go back to the Bible.

We really need to get back into the Word of God because we are quickly departing. We enjoy you and we thank you or for you there and you give us some good insight on some issues. You know, there’s a lot of people who can preach under the door like right into the mainstream church. You know, it seems like we’ve done that lately real successfully. Well, Ken, thank you for calling and you have a wonderful day. If you come up, I can give you copies of some of those emails I’ve received that talk about some of the things that are being said and preached at some of these conferences.

Can you imagine 80,000 ministers being influenced by this fellow who is obviously teaching things contrary to the Bible? We’re so excited to be on the air in New York. We’re on WJIV 101.9 FM and 99.1 FM between 1 and 2 everyday Monday through Friday. We have some wonderful callers and people who write letters and send me emails from those areas of upper New York and the states that those stations carry over to. We get calls from Massachusetts and other places that are also hearing from that area.

We’re now going to Fred in Richmond, Virginia and Fred, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Year. You all would say that the words of that script, we don’t really have any of the original words of either Testament. Bits of manuscripts or entire manuscripts, there’s so many differences in these manuscripts that even in the age of computers they can’t figure out how many differences means there’s more differences in the New Testament manuscripts than there are even words in the New Testament.

Well, I think I would do this. Let me just say one thing. Go ahead. The story of the, of the, of not even in the older and more reliable may perform the miracles and why couldn’t we perform the miracles preserving those words since we don’t have any of the original words. All right. Good question. Satan knows he cannot destroy the Bible because it’s going to live in a bind forever. But the Bible gives a warning in Revelation chapter 22 about not adding to or subtracting from.

And what Satan focuses on is not adding to because that you would pick up on if somebody added something new. But he focuses on subtracting. And so what he has done and been very clever to do is there are two manuscripts that you’re referring to, the Sinaiticus and the Vaticanus, which have been in the custodial care of the Roman Catholic Church, and nobody has seen those manuscripts through your homework. Nobody has seen them. Only copies that the Roman Catholic Church has disseminated have people seen, and I personally don’t trust them when they can’t see the actual manuscripts.

They don’t let anybody see them. Nobody has seen them. And they have been under their custodial care for all these years. And those are the ones that they call the best manuscripts. And this came from the 1800s when this began to be popularized. And you were not taught very highly of it. If you didn’t buy into this higher criticism that was going on at that time, and I think this is all phony baloney. These are subtractions. There are 5,000 omissions in most of these newer translations, and apparently the one you have is flawed and wants to suck out the story of the adulterous woman there and many other stories the niv drops forty four verses in their entirety so we’re living in a time when they tell you the best manuscripts say now they never tell you what the best manuscripts are and they don’t say who determined they were the best manuscripts and again it is these

two that they’re talking about the a and the b coat x’s which are in the custodial care the Roman Catholic Church and I really don’t trust the fact that they would only give out their copies of it but not the originals. I don’t trust that they’re letting us see what they really say. But in any case, even if they’re older, doesn’t mean they’re better. And the mainstream manuscripts are really great. By the way also, the early Church Fathers So, prophylistically quoted the New Testament in their letters to one another as they discussed it.

The entire New Testament, without any manuscripts, could be reconstructed except for 11 verses. What do you think about that? In other words, we have more than enough evidence that what we have is indeed the Bible, but Satan is lately here really taking an attack on the written word of God because he is angry at God. No, he’s defeated. He’ll be overthrown shortly and his job is to confuse and to blind people and he’s certainly doing it with the new translations.

I sure hope that helps a little bit and we do thank you for your call Fred in Richmond, Virginia. I would recommend the book we have here called New Age Bible Versions. It’s about almost 800 pages and goes through all of this that I’ve just talked about and shows you how the newer Bibles more and more drop out and leave out more and more. And obviously unless you’re comparing and doing your homework you wouldn’t know something been deleted but obviously this is what’s happening and they leave out the blood.

They leave out salvation by faith. They leave out the doctrine of hell. Everything is offensive to Satan. They leave out of course the deity of Christ. We’re trying to manipulate it. It’s really quite a shame. We have Jeff in Venice, Florida and Jeff, welcome to my blind. Good morning, Dr. Lynch. My question is, I got into a discussion last Saturday with a group of five Jehovah’s Witnesses that were going around my neighborhood. We got onto the discussion about death on the cross, and they had told me that the Jehovah’s Witnesses believed that their sins were paid for on the cross.

So I was just wondering, I know there’s something fishy going on there. I was just wondering if you could explain, I don’t really know a whole lot about their beliefs. have enough to study on our own, just to enlighten me on to… Yeah, they’re deceivers. They say that, but they really are out there knocking on doors to earn their way into the kingdom. So they, you know, if they stopped knocking on doors, they would be undilated according to their doctrine.

They don’t believe in hell. So they would lose their salvation and they would be annihilated. And so they clearly, I remember Remember, two little ladies about 75, your whole witness is the king of my door, I invited him in and we sat down and I said, let me just tell you while you’re here, you are not here because you’re concerned about my soul, you’re here because you’re concerned about your soul and you’re trying to earn your way into the kingdom.

This little lady came off her seat and she’s screaming at me and said, don’t you tell me what I believe, I’ll tell you what I believe and blah blah blah. And I said, I’m sorry, maybe I didn’t get it right. Would you please explain to me what you believe in why you’re here? Well, five minutes later it came out to the same conclusion she was there because you have to get out there and knock on doors. And obviously it took her five minutes to explain it, but it was the same answer I had given her.

They are working their way into the kingdom. And it’s obviously that Christ died as a ransom for sin, but they believe if you don’t work you don’t get in. And it’s all by works. we had that discussion to and uh… one of the gentleman that was there he actually started getting really hostile we started getting onto the subject of eternal security and started his one big response was what about you this what about you to see and i had told them you know you never believed when i started popping out versus that i’m on eternal security how quickly they wanted to terminate the conversation well absolutely they really uh…

they usually look at their watch and they’ll say you know we’ve got a run here we have a uh… our ride home is a good to meet us at the corner of about another minute and we’re not there will have to walk home so they easily chase out of their real fast they have a planned escape whenever they get cornered in and uh… you just can pray for them and i pray that they would see the light but uh…

that’s the truth that’s the truth you know that this one of the air conditioning on the not without that sweating well it’s like you’re getting really hot up like i’m good on top of the lord i don’t mind being out in the heat that’s right off yeah fell thank you very much i agree to get a good last year keep at it Jeff that was great uh… just uh… keep causing them to doubt what they believe because they they they deny the sun i like that verse we quoted the other day this week uh…

first john uh… chapter uh… that was last week first john two twenty three who’s whoever denied the sun the same half not the father so they don’t have yaw way or joe with their the whole witnesses are just witnesses there they’re godless and and christmas and without the father uh… without christ and so they certainly need our prayers and uh… Author Jerome calls in from Richmond, Virginia just now and he says are we still obligated under the law to time?

What should we do then? No, we’re not obligated under the law, but we should give under grace. The Bible says that every man according to how God has prospered him, the purpose in his own heart what he ought to give and and maybe you ought to give to 10%. But we’re not to give it grudgingly or because of the fact that he’s not going to give it. of necessity, God wants us to actually get from the heart as a true expression of our love.
