Bibleline Radio Show – 2006-08-24 – A Relationship with Jesus Christ?

Today in Christianity a Madison Avenue approach is being used by many to market Jesus Christ to the unsaved world. Their favorite approach is to say that what you need is “a relationship with Jesus Christ.” Therefore, to tell the lost that he needs a relationship or needs to go to heaven when he dies does not solve his problem. THESE CONSEQUENCES ONLY COME THROUGH TRUSTING CHRIST AS SAVIOUR!

By the way, we had a wonderful week with Gershan Solomon, the Orthodox Jew from Jerusalem who came here and talked about the rebuilding of the Third Temple. We have a two CD set that covers the entire event including the radio interview last Thursday. is available for gift of twenty dollars. Four CDs covering about three hours of more of material about the rebuilding of the temple. Also we have a two DVD video series covering about two and a half hours including myself setting the stage for his presentation.

His presentation and also the video he brought from Israel, a walk through the temple and you can get those two CDs in a nice jacket that holds the two together and that’s a gift of $30 and you’ll have all of what Gershan Solomon did while he was here with us. It turned out great. The video quality, the audio quality, everything was great and two DVDs were required So those can be ordered if you’d like to be as though you were here.

You can get to see these or the DVDs whether you like video or audio of the event with Gershaun Solomon. We had a wonderful baptism this last Sunday. We baptized 44 people in a lake in it by immersion as a testimony of their faith in Jesus Christ and that they were cleansed of their sin by the blood of Christ. We’ll do another one the third Sunday in September and if you are in the church. driving distance and would like to be included.

We’ll be happy to baptize you. I’d be honored. You can call our operators and get your name on the list for that third Sunday in September, baptism middle date, three in the afternoon and we would love to have you be a part of that. We had a number of people that couldn’t make the last one. If everybody had come, to baptize almost 60 people, but we’ll catch those the next go around here in September and you can be a part of that.

If you were baptized as an infant, it doesn’t count. No such thing as infant baptism in the Bible. If you were baptized before your salvation experience, it doesn’t count because what were you giving testimony to? Water baptism is a testimonial on the part of somebody who is saved of how they were We are cleansed under sin by the blood of Jesus Christ and you are welcome to be a part of our next baptism the third Sunday in September. We are going to talk about the Bible and get to our offer questions and our on-air questions.

You can dial us at 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. Today in Christianity, a Madison Avenue approach is being used by many to market Jesus Christ to the unsaved world. Their favorite approach is to say, you need a relationship with Jesus Christ. The philosophy is that we are now dealing with the baby boomers. The baby boomers have experienced broken relationships during their lives. So they say the baby boomers are looking for a relationship. It is true that a person needs a relationship with Jesus Christ, but this is a consequence of being saved.

It is like saying a person needs to go to heaven and a person needs not go to hell when he dies. But going to heaven is a consequence of being saved. Therefore, to tell the lost that he needs a relationship or needs to go to heaven when he dies doesn’t solve the problem that the lost person has. These consequences only come through trusting Jesus Christ as your Savior. And that seems to be scirted. That seems to be avoided. A person must trust Jesus Christ as the one who died for their sins was buried and rose again from the dead in order to be saved.

Act 1631 says, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. The word belief means trust. Upon trusting Christ as Savior, a person is born again and then has, as a consequence, a relationship with Christ. I believe this approach of asking a person to have a relationship with Christ is not a good approach to witnessing to the loss because of the fact that people think of relationships in terms of human relationships. This means relationships can be broken and effort must be put forth to prevent broken relationships.

Applying this concept to a relationship with Jesus Christ would make salvation by works and present a salvation that could be lost. This is done by many of the big players today in Christianity. Heivils in his website says that if you begin a relationship with Jesus Christ and are pleased to continue that relationship until the day you die, God will then be pleased to continue that relationship into eternity. But if you begin a relationship with Jesus Christ and do not continue that until you die, then God will not be pleased to continue that into eternity.

In other words, it makes salvation based on a continuance of living the Christian life and maintaining some kind of relationship. That is not biblical and that is false and applying this concept to a relationship with Jesus Christ makes salvation by works and presents a salvation that could be lost. Which obviously is not true, but believer can never be lost. Also, using this approach causes confusion because the phrase relationship with Jesus Christ is misused to inquire about the Christian life of a believer.

Have you ever been asked, how is your relationship with Jesus Christ? Well, my answer is, guess what? I tell people, it’s eternal, it’s permanent, it’s unchangeable, it couldn’t get better, couldn’t get any worse, it’s unalterable. It’s said in concrete, can never be changed. I’m stuck. I’m going to heaven whether I like it or not. That question is probably asked to find out the condition of your Christian walk with the Lord. Are you in fellowship with the Lord? Your walk, your fellowship, your intimacy, etc., with the Lord is changeable, but not your relationship.

You see, when you trust Christ, you become born again. The new birth is as real as the first birth. And as soon as you are born again, you are related to God and God becomes your Father for the first time. You are God’s creation and God is your Creator but God is not your Father and you are not a son or daughter until you trust Christ. And so the relationship that people talk about is real but it occurs as a consequence of trusting Christ and when you trust Christ you are born again.

The Bible says that everyone that is born again is obviously now a child of God forever and you will never ever be cast out or lost. When I was born into my folks family as a child as an infant I was their son and my sonship did not depend upon my behavior. I was their son whether I was obedient or disobedient. I was their son whether our behavior didn’t obey. But my fellowship with my parents, my intimacy with my parents was dependent upon my obedience.

If I was this obedient, I remember being restricted. I remember not getting my allowance. I knew there were consequences if I was this obedient as a child at home with mom and dad. If I was obedient, they would reward me. Maybe I would get to stay out later. Maybe I’d get extra privileges. Maybe I would get a raise in my allowance. But that had to do with my fellowship, my intimacy with my folks. But my relationship based on my birth into their family was unchangeable.

When you trust Christ, you become born again and become his son or daughter and it has no connection to your behavior. Your behavior now is significant because you are going to be held accountable one day at the judgment of Christ and there are going to be believers who will enter eternity and And suffer is the key word the Bible uses the loss of reward in heaven forever. And also you will incur God’s discipline upon your life if your delinquent believer in God can thank you and he might even take you home to heaven.

You can lose your joy, you can lose your testimony, you can lose your effectiveness, you can lose your rewards. You can even lose your life. The word can take you home to heaven early, but you can’t lose your salvation. So your relationship is permanent. It’s forever. I just really think that this approach is not the approach of the Bible, and I think we really ought to get back to Bible basics. When Paul and Silas were confronted by the Philippian jailer who was desperate, meant to commit suicide, and he said, what must I do to be saved?

Paul and Silas did not say, you need a relationship with Jesus Christ. That never happens in the Bible. You will never find anyone in scripture telling a lost person when they inquire about salvation. You need a relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s not the approach. They always would tell them that they had to trust Christ. When you trust Christ, one of, I’ve got a sheet written that lists 39 things, I just quit at 39 because it was a nice number, of consequences that happen when you are born again, one of which is you have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

It’s a consequence. When you trust Christ, you are then related to God forever from that moment on. And it’s not conditioned upon your works or your behavior. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline. We’ve got people who are calling in from everywhere. We’re going to try to catch these calls and the offer questions as quickly as we can. We have a caller right now from Tampa. 1-800, by the way, 576-377-1. We have forest. In Tampa, Florida, forest, you are on the air.

Yes. Dr. Lindstrom? Yes, sir. Yes. You had a gentleman on the air yesterday that was… discussing the Trinity and he was a little confused about it and I wanted to remind you that You have a book in the bookstore called the Kingdom of the Cults by Walter Martin and He devoted 40 years of his life to studying the cult and in his book He says as an example the cultists mock the biblical teaching about the Trinity in the year AD The Council of Nice convene and 318 bishops of the Church assembled for the most momentous event in history, the discussion about the Trinity.

These were, of course, Catholic bishops coming together to the beat, the matter of the Trinity once for all and forever. Areas was a heretic. A heretic is a person with a religious opinion that is contrary to the Orthodox doctrine, who mocked the Trinity, and I don’t know how to pronounce his name, but it’s A-T-H-A-N-A-S-I-U-S. A Thanos is stood firmly for the word of God. A Thanos, this one of 316 bishops, said we affirm the doctrine of the Trinity that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost are one.

Two did not accept this decision. Today there are three cults that follow the teachings of Arias. They are the Jehovah’s Witness, the Christian scientists, and the Unitarian. I just thought that that might help this gentleman that called if he’s listening. Well, thank you very much, Forrest. And by the way, those weren’t Roman Catholic. The word Catholic means universal. And unfortunately, when people hear that word Catholic, they think in terms of Roman Catholic. There’s also the Greek Catholic Church and others use that term too.

But the Roman Catholic Church as we know it didn’t really begin until about the sixth century. And so I just wanted to throw that in. But thank you so much for that help. And I hope that gentlemen is listening to the name of it. Well, that book is a great one. It’s called The Kingdom of the Cult. It is overkill as far as information you need to know in winning the cults to Christ. You will know more about that cult than the cult member himself knows if you get that book and put it in your library.

It is wonderful. We’re now going to go to Robert and Robert is in Tampa, Florida and Robert, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Yes, I wanted to check to see if you had caught the History Channel Monday night on Exodus. I did not. Well, it’s going to repeat tonight at eight o’clock. now watch this two hours long and uh… it’s about the jus of course being in egypt uh… joseph being their leader passing in there coming out crossing the read the or all of them and uh…

this program uh… is i can’t uh… i can’t believe how they don’t get the right do they would know they they do get it right it’s incredible they named the the pharaoh according to hieroglyphs in a city that’s only recently been uncovered his name was uh… amoza moses and that’s in the hieroglyphs in the same city I don’t know what it was, caves or an old stone building where the Hebrews probably sheltered and in ancient Hebrew. story of joseph and their stay in Egypt in the incredible itself all after you check it out tonight i know that the they didn’t cross the reed see the cross the red sea and i certainly disagree with that if that’s what they presented whether the what he presented here about where they crossed and why is uh…

The Bible is very convincing. The whole two hours are really terrific. They say the reeds you because it was a shallow marsh and they can just walk across. That really presents a big problem I think because that’s a greater miracle than the real miracle that the Bible describes because that would mean the whole Egyptian army drowned in about six inches of water. That is a joke. Well, the overall of this two hours is it completely supports the Old Testament.

It just completely supports it. And I will check it out and I appreciate you alerting me to that Robert. And we will see. Oftentimes those programs though distort truth. You have to watch them very carefully. But thanks for tipping us off. We have Dr. Reverend Anonymous in Pasco County. And he never agrees with me. Let’s see what he has to say today. Welcome to Bible Eye. How are you doing, Dr. Adam? Good. How are you doing today? I’ve been listening and hearing from you.

Yeah. You got to holler at me every now and then. Okay. What’s going on today? I’ve seen two of you yesterday when you were collaborating on what said the second link in flash 17. Okay. If anybody in Christ is a new creature or new creation and old things are passed away, Maybe whole lot of things will become new. All right. What do you think kind of be a man because you have a scanner? All right. What I’m saying is that many people take that verse to say that you don’t Sim anymore don’t practice habits that you used to practice prior to your new birth your salvation experience and That behold all things are brand new that is really not the verses saying if you read the context of chapter three four and five there In Corinthians it’s talking about the conditions that existed prior to your salvation

are now passed away and now behold all brand new conditions exist and it doesn’t mean that necessarily your life has changed at the moment of belief. Many people I think are robbed of their assurance and even doubt their salvation because of the wrong presentation because some people who are honest with themselves said well not all things are new in my life I still have some of my old habits that I haven’t gotten victory over yet. But really what is going on there is that when you were lost, you were headed for hell.

Now the new condition is you’re headed for heaven, you no longer headed for hell. You were a child of the devil, but now you’re a child of God. You were lost, but now you’re saved. You were under the law, But now you’re under grace and and so there’s really dozens of things that are now brand new You were without the Holy Spirit now you do have the Holy Spirit the Bible says you were alienated from God now You’re a child of God and so all these brand new conditions exist at the moment you believe and that’s what I was saying But it doesn’t mean that necessarily your life has changed at the moment of belief It’s saying that you are a new creature.

You’re born again and your child of God. But it’s in the context, it’s not saying your behavior changes at Is it the moment you believe? Well, if you were born again, all right, and you just received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saved you by trusting Him. But you were at that present time you should see about it. There should be a change that someone can see from that particular individual. This is not the same deal. Well, you know, that would be nice and that’s ideal and I like the word should that you just use because should is the case, but it’s not necessarily I was so turned off by the church I was raised with, the night I trusted Christ, I told God that I will never serve you, but I will take you up on your free gift of eternal life.

For me it was a business deal. I really was ready to abandon church forever in my life at the point when I heard the gospel, and I said, if it’s a free gift to go to heaven, God will take you up on it. I knew God had to respond to that because God can’t lie. And for a year I was a secret believer and there was no change. In fact, nobody even had a clue that I was a believer for one year.

I never revealed it, but a year later God brought me to my knees. He chastens the linkwind believers and he certainly got on to my life and he brought me to a place where I dedicated myself to Christ. Nobody followed me up. Nobody even knew I was saying. But God followed me up and he brought me to a place where in my dorm at the University of Florida I got on my knees and I dedicated my life to Christ and I served him ever since.

But you don’t have to change your life. your life to be saved and if I hadn’t changed my life I still would have been saved. And that’s what I’m talking about in this verse. Yeah, okay, you did a good job explaining it to a certain extent. But the other point I’m trying to figure out you have an average. Which, to me, I’m getting the impression that you want the whole release of year that you did before you wake up and start doing what the whole spirit wants you to do from the beginning.

Well, I’m not asking the world. I wish I hadn’t made my decision sooner. And obviously I wish everybody would make their decision much sooner too. But that decision, whether you serve or don’t serve, has really nothing to do with your salvation. That has to do with the Christian life. And that would be great if every believer did that. But if you’re honest, read first and second Corinthians. Those people didn’t. And those people were involved in adultery and fornication and extortion and lying and stealing and cheating everything else as believers and those letters are lengthy because they’re written to correct that.

We have to go to break. Thanks for calling Dr. Reverend Anonymous from Pasco County. We have now got to go to break and we’ll come back and do Bible in part two. So don’t go away. Keep your radio down to right where it is and we’ll be right back. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Dr. Englund’s German, this is Bibleline, and thanks again for tuning in today. By the way, today is our television day.

We’re on tonight at 6.30 on DirecTV. Will Harvard’s Television Channel 321 nationwide. Hope you’ll turn that in. Turn that in if you have DirecTV. If you are in the West Coast of Florida, you can catch our program on CTN at 7 tonight all up and down the West Coast of Florida from Fortmaster Crystal River over to Orlando. We hope you’ll tune that in. But you know, if you don’t have any of those means of watching our television programs, you can do it on the internet.

That’s right. If you go to my website by the line Ministries.org or dot com, you can click on the little TV set. We have up in the upper right hand corner of our website and you’ll be connected to our television program. You’ll get to see the program in the week and go back to the archive and catch about 25 programs or so we have in the archive. On the other side of that page when you click on the little TV set you’ll have radio and you can listen to today’s show again and again and you can go back and get past programs.

And by the way you can do this anytime a day, any day of the week, seven days a week, 24 hours a day, you can go to the website and catch the television and the radio programs. That is exciting. By the way, we’re soon going to broadcast or webcast our morning worship service from the Telvary Community Church at Bible on Headquarters, the church I pastor. You’ll be able to hear my Sunday morning messages and join us in our worship service.

We’ve had so many people tell me they cannot find a good solid Bible church while they continue to search and hopefully they’ll find one. We’re going to make our church service available. I think you’re going to love this and we’ll put that out on the internet as well. So keep listening for the announcement. We are of course listeners supported and all these things cost money and we could sure Use your help. If you will pray for us, we will really be tickled at that because we know God hears and answers prayer.

But we also need people who will partner with us and be financial helpers if you can give something every month to help Bibleline pay the bills and keep this program on the air for you and continue to expand and bring new creative things to the table for you to help you grow and to help you be able to hear the word. We going to try to do that. We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break. Get ready for Bibleline Part 2.

If your station doesn’t care the second half, go to the Internet and you’ll catch the entire program. And we hope that you’ll also look over all the things we have there on our Internet site, BibleLineMinistries.org. Right now, Bible on 2. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back for that break and this is Bibleline.

We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios at the Calvert Community Church. And we just, I really tickled the depth with what God is doing here through Bible Land. We’re streaming the programs every day to the internet and we have 13,045 listeners last month to the Bible Land radio program on the internet in addition to those that are listening by way of broadcast. We’re not only broadcasting across America and many stations but we are also broadcasting in Honduras in Central America, reaching to Guizgalpa in other major cities and the islands off of the coast.

In fact, the island of Rotan, where the tower has a population of 80,000 people. Isn’t that wonderful that we’re able to bring the gospel to those people in Central America? And we’re looking forward to perhaps being able to get on the area in other areas in Central America or South America. So pray for us. Again, our programs cost money and it’s a bigger project than just my church. If my church were to take its entire budget and pay for Bible and radio, I’d have to cut back probably 80% of what we’re doing because it couldn’t afford it.

It’s just bigger than my church. So we’re, what I call, the little church with a big bark. But because of our listeners becoming partners with us and praying for and giving the Bible, we’re able to reach out in a mighty way across the nation and across the world, especially through the internet. We’re streaming our television programs as as well so you can catch those on the internet and I hope you will. And pray for the television programs that will be on later today.

The one on the direct TV World Harvest Television Channel 3, 2, 1, tonight at 6.30. And in the West Coast of Florida here on cable, throughout all the West Coast of Florida on the CPN network. And watch those if you can. Tell your friends about it. He also directed them to the internet and our website BibleLineMinistries.org. So they can watch these things at their leisure whenever it’s convenient for them 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are going to be webcasting our worship services shortly within the next month, and I think that’ll be a nice blessing for many that are telling us they’re really having difficulty finding a sound Bible Church.

You’ll be able to join me in my worship. The church that houses the Bible in headquarters and the church of which I pastor. And we hope that that will help until you can find a sound Bible church in your area that you can attend. We recommend you attend a sound Bible church. If the church where you’re attending at the Bible is not taught or it contains unsound or false doctrine, false doctrine, then certainly you need to get out of there.

The Bible says in Revelation 18, 4, come out from among them and be separate. It says the same thing in 2 Corinthians 6, verse 17, that we are to come out and be separate. We cannot endorse and support those who teach false doctrine. And today we are living in a time when false doctrine becomes the order of the day. It says in 2 Timothy 4 that the time would come when they would not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lust they would heap themselves teachers having itching ears and be turned away from the truth and be turned unto fables.

So we are living in a time when that is happening. In any case, you can send a gift to Bible and buy mail. All operators will give you the address or send you an envelope with our address printed on it and or you can give a gift by credit card over the phone and you can also give by going to our website and to the online bookstore. There’s a place there where you can give a contribution to Bibleline. Your help is definitely needed and appreciated and God bless all of you in advance for your gifts to Bibleline.

We have a number of people trying to get in on the phone lines. Our lines are all lined up. And we’re going to go to Bob and Sarasota and Bob, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning. How are you? Good. Can you turn your radio down? I can hear it in the background. How’s that? Much better. Okay. The father of the Antichrist. Well, in a sense, Satan is, but obviously probably he’s a human being that Satan will and power and in 12.

But as far as his lineage or something, we don’t know. The Bible hints back in the book of Genesis in chapter 315, there would be a seed of Satan. Obviously, everybody in the human race has been contaminated by Adam’s sin. We are prior to our salvation, all called children of Satan in John’s gospel chapter 8 verse 44. So, someone in the human race that has that endemic nature from Adam will be invoked by Satan and empowered by heaven. That will be the Antichrist.

But as to whose parents are, I don’t know. Yeah. Yeah, okay. And I heard that this person has the blood of a jackal. Oh, that’s not in the Bible. That’s certainly Hollywood. Yeah, you have yeah, ask you a question about water baptism sure Well, you know only God knows that you know and obviously the parent and I try to screen people to make sure that they truly You know have understood what they’re doing in it they’re doing this as a testimony of their faith that they’re saved and they know that baptism doesn’t save them and that they are simply giving a picture of how their cleansed other sin by the blood of Christ, not by the water.

But sometimes that’s going to happen. There are people who do things for the wrong reasons and people join churches for the wrong reasons. People, I’ve seen them witness for the wrong reasons. even God can use that. I’ve seen people that are witnessing, I guess, to because that’s the thing that a church wants them to do and people get saved in spite of it. Because if you give out the gospel, people will get saved. And they’ll be doing it for the wrong reason.

So God is going to sort all that out one day and maybe the person will come to realize later that they didn’t understand what the world they were doing and then decided to be baptized again. I don’t believe that baptism should occur twice if you do it right. The first time that it’s a one-time testimony of your salvation, but there are people who get saved and they’ve already been to water baptized. Well, then they definitely need to get baptized again because that baptism didn’t count because it wasn’t a testimony to anything if you weren’t saved.

So I don’t know. We’ll just have to wait and see and the Lord will reveal it all one day. But if we worried about that too much, we wouldn’t baptize anybody. If you ask for sure one more question and I’ll get out of the doorway for somebody else. I want to know how Judas is scary it could walk with Jesus Christ for three years and witness untold miracles if you don’t appear in the Bible knows that do and not be a believer.

I know Satan blinds people and all that but I you know in light of that because you just touch on that and I’m gonna have a listen. Thanks. Okay. Okay. Okay, Bob. That was Bob. And Judas, that is amazing. Isn’t Judas was never a believer. And yet he was very close. There were observing Christ and seeing the miracles that he did. But there’s going to be a time again during the millennium when Satan and his angels will be bound.

And… His word will go out from Jerusalem and there will still be people who will reject the Lord of their Savior. Again, it shows the wickedness of the human heart and that is the answer I have to give you. Jeremiah 17, 9 says the heart, the mind is deceitful above all things and is desperately wicked. The Bible tells us that it is in my own it is such that we can deceive ourselves. And isn’t that amazing that we can be self-deceived.

Our evil nature is such. And so in any case, John 664 is one of several verses that demonstrate that Jesus knew that Judas was not a believer and that Judas was not a believer, that’s the reason why he went to help. Have Gary down in Bradenton Florida and Gary welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Obviously the Trinity is, you mentioned the beginning program that’s salvation is a hot topic. I don’t know. I think Trinity, Dr.

Well, apparently yesterday and today it is, but it’s a major doc, certainly. the fact that God is one God, but he eternally exists as three separate eternal persons, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Are we still there? I think we lost that call. I don’t know what happened. Apparently, we lost our call. But the Trinity is obviously taught in the Bible from Genesis 1 all the way through Revelation in chapter 22. We have now Cooley in Tampa Florida and welcome to Bibleline you’re on here.

Hello? And I don’t seem to be able to bring anybody upon the on the phone line now. So I don’t know what’s happening there. I got an outcome now. So something is happening. We’ll have to figure these phone lines out here and see what happened. All of a sudden We have lost our connection. Let’s try again here. We’re going to try for Edgar, or I think we dropped all of our calls. Now we have to ever really call back.

Something happened here. But anyway, call back and we’ll try to get everybody back up on the air. In the meantime, we have a number of all-fear questions. Let’s see if we can’t take some of these. Off here Susan in Lansing, Michigan called in she says in Daniel 9 in praying for Israel and I lost the question down I Is that a good and accurate way to pray today well obviously the Bible tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and I think we ought to pray for Israel because obviously this is a prayer that is really a prayer to bring Jesus back because when Christ comes back and restores peace for Israel and for Jerusalem, the whole earth will be at peace.

Of course, that’s the second coming that will occur seven years after the rapture. So obviously we’re going to be raptured out and then seven years later Jesus will come back to Jerusalem to rule over the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and we’re excited about that. And I think we’re getting closer by the day. Author Joyce in Charlottesville, New York calls in. She says during the one thousand year millennium, why is there still going to be sin if Satan is still bound?

I think we answered that a moment ago. basically the sin nature of man is still present in humans that you know when the thousand-year reign begins those that have gotten saved during the seven-year years of tribulation there’ll be millions that will get saved they will enter into that thousand years in their mortal bodies they will have children and their children grow up and marry and have children and so on, and they’ll have this nature. They inherit from Adam. And as we quoted earlier, Jeremiah 17 9 says, The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.

So the wicked nature of men is still going to be around. And that’s why there still will be sin, even though Satan is still bound. Joyce, I hope that helps. Thanks for calling in from Charlottesville New York. We have Cathy in Valrico Florida. Luke 12-42-48. She wants to know about Luke 12-45. I’m going to turn over there and see what that passage is all about. In Luke 12, I’m almost there. I’m turning my pages right now. And I’m Chapter 11.

Here I am. Now I’m turning to Chapter 12. And we’re going to take a look at the verse she’s talking about. about this. Let’s see here. Chapter 12. Verse… Uhh… Let’s see here. Chapter… 12, verse 45 says. But if that servant is saying his heart, my Lord, the lay of his coming, and shall begin to beat the men’s servants of maidens, and eat, drink, and be drunken, the Lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in the sunner and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

Well, I believe this is talking about during the tribulation period that there will be those who will obviously not be living their life in view of the fact that Christ is going to soon come back and he’s going to catch them off guard. And I believe when he’s talking here about servants, Christ comes back as king and everybody is a servant to the king, whether saved or lost. And this person could possibly be an unsafe person. But it could go almost either way.

The person here is going to be cut off, and that apparently tells me that he’s an unbeliever and he’ll be appointed as portion of the unbelievers. The behavior probably exhibits the fact that he is not a believer, certainly not looking for Christ’s return, but others here in the passage are looking for the Lord’s return and they will be rewarded for it. Can’t they hope that helps and we will have to go back over that again if it didn’t call me back.

Otheer John in Valrico fora says in Genesis 4-14 that the Lord said a mark upon Cain, What does this mean? Is this the same mark as in Revelation? No, I don’t think so, but we don’t really know what that mark upon Cain was, but God put a mark upon him so that nobody would murder him or take his life. And he was obviously like we tease you, he’s that phrase, he was a marked man. But Cain was really a little bit nervous about how people might come after him and he said everybody that finds him, he shall slay me.

So he was worried about having people kill him. But the Lord protected him and he went off to the land of Nadner. Those that were the Synod of Cain all perished in the flood. We have Tom and Temple Terrace for us. He says, will there be flesh beings during the millennial reign or just spirit beings? And the answer is both. And I think we answered that earlier too. Those that get saved in the tribulation period that are saved are the ones who are the subjects of the millennium that enter into it.

We will come back and rule in reign. And so there will be those in the resurrection bodies and those in their flesh bodies in the tribulation period. We have Edgar in Petersburg, Virginia, so we’re going to try to catch that call and see if it can get it up on the air. Edgar, welcome to Bible Land. Great and pleased, Doug. All right. Sounds like we had our phone lines working again. Something happened there in our program, but good to talk to you.

Okay, you too. My question today is Pichon. pertaining to our revelations 3 14 and it says Amen these things said to Amen the faithful and true witness the beginning of the creation of God now the other day I was probing through a new world perversion you may say new world translation and Jehovah Witnesses book right I know how to say that Jesus was a created being yeah and And that phrase there in that verse really should read the read the beginner of the creation.

Christ is the Creator. And Colossians 2 14 would say the same thing that he is the he is chapter one verse 14. He’s the Creator and he’s the beginning of the creation. He’s the one that began it. John 1 would also verify that in the beginning was the word, the word was God, the word was God. Then he goes on to say in verse 3 that all things were created by Christ that he was the Creator. Ok, because that’s what I wanted to be brief about.

I just wanted to know how we rightly divide the word of truth in this verse because on your note they have to say to do everything that they did to your Christ. Amen. They sure do. And of course that earlier color force pointed out from the book, Both the Kingdom of the cults that the doctrine of Arius has come down to us in some of the cults where they denied the Deaf Christ. They say he was a created being, but the believers in the fourth century clearly rejected that false teaching and recognized the deity of Christ.

We’re now going to Jeff in Venice, Florida. It looks like our phone lines went down again. I don’t know what is going on here, but we’ll see if we can Jeff up in a second here. We have Jeff in Venice, Florida, off here, and he says predestination and selection. What was Paul talking about when he used these terms. I don’t know about the word selection, but it talks about predestination in the Bible. And basically the Bible says that everybody who is a believer is predestined to go to heaven.

And everybody that is an unbeliever is predestined to go to hell. And so the choice is yours though. If you choose to be a believer, then you are in the group that is predestined to be conformed to Christ’s image that will go to heaven, to be with the Lord and so on and so on. So if you’re an unbeliever, then you’re in the group that God is predestined to go to hell. Now it was before the foundation of the world, God predestined to save all that would believe and those that would not believe would not be.

The El Nudi said it is simply as I have ever heard it. He said the Whosoever wills are the elect and the Whosoever won’ts are the non-elect. You can’t get any better than that. Jack and Valrico calls in. He says will the people who teach predarism be punished for spreading false doctrine when they get to the judgment sheet of Christ. I believe that we are held accountable for false teaching and spreaderism obviously is a doctrine that says God is all through with Israel.

And basically puts a curse on Israel and the Bible says those who curse Israel will be cursed and those that bless Israel will be blessed. And I believe certainly that that is still in effect today and I think that’s one of consequences for sure. We have Joel calling from Livona outside of Flint, Michigan, and he listens up there on AM600 every day. He says, where did the King James translation come from? Well, it came from England, and King James really didn’t have anything to do with it except that as King, obviously he authorized the translators to make the translation.

It was a large body of translators, but basically most of the work was already done. There were those who preceded those translators, Wycliffe in particular, who did a lot of that work of making the English translation. And it was a button 1611 and has been a marvelous translation of the original languages. Hebrew and Greek into the English. And so that’s the answer. Really is better known as the authorized version. It really wasn’t King James really had nothing to do with it except he was king at the time and it took place.

We’re going to go now to Jeff in Venice, Florida and Jeff, welcome to Bibleline. How are you doing, Dr. Hank? Good. Hank, it’s thinking my call. Within the body of Christ, Dr. Hank, if we have somebody, how hard are we supposed to push the issue? Depends on what the doctrine is. We need the major and what’s major and what’s minor and what’s minor. If it has to do with salvation, then you’re going to have to really come hard and separate because that’s a major doctrine.

If it’s something like I talk about I don’t believe angels sing, but I wouldn’t separate fellowship with somebody over that. If they want to believe angels sing, I wouldn’t lose any sleep over that at all. I can’t find a verse anywhere that says that they do. There are some people who want to believe it because they’ve heard it all their life. But that’s not a major. Dr. Smith, you have to evaluate how major is the doctor and old difference that you have and separate based on that.

Certainly Paul said that in Romans chapter 1 verse 1 that he was separated under the gospel. So I believe that that is the major area where we do separate. If somebody doesn’t have the gospel right, then obviously if they believe another gospel is not saved. saved and so we have to separate because they’re not even a believer. But then we work our way down the pole there depending on how serious the doctrinal difference is. I’ve recently been on a message board and we were talking about the headship of man as established in Genesis 3.16 all the way up through first Timothy.

And, you know, you have people that just really want to discount God’s Word just because it doesn’t make them feel good or they think it’s not politically correct. And I was just wondering, you know, if it got to a point where we simply dust our feet off, like with non-believers and leave them. Sometimes I think you have to do that. And obviously the Bible talks about separating. There are several great passages, 2 Corinthians 6, Ephesians 5, 11, Romans 16, verse 17 and 18 and others.

But we have to run, it’s out of time. Keep looking up, Jesus is coming and Lord Roman will see you tomorrow.
