And in other areas, stations sometimes play an extra show on the weekend. You might want to check with your station to see if they air another Bibleline show on the weekend for you to listen to as well. Well, if you have your Bible open, get it out. We’re going to turn to Hebrews, chapter 10. And in Hebrews, chapter 10 and verse 10, it says, by the which will or by the will of God we are sanctified. It means from the Greek language in which it was written and translated into the English to make pure and holy.

The Bible says we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. pastors and most churches teach that sanctified means to be set apart. That is an application of the word, but the Greek word really means to make pure and holy. Anything that is pure and holy is obviously set apart from everything that is not pure and holy. So as an application, something that is sanctified is set apart. These preachers talk about signification that were set apart and they miss the real meaning here in Hebrews and in the many passages where the word sanctification is used.

It says by the which will or by the will of God we are sanctified. Look up the Greek word it means to make pure and holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. So in other words, Christ died once to pay for the sins of the whole human race, and once you have trusted Christ, God sees you as pure and holy or righteous in His sight, and it’s on that basis that you’re able to enter heaven.

In verse 11 it says, Every Priest standeth daily, ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices which can what? Never, never. He said, never take away sins. In other words, there is no priest, there is no rabbi, there is no minister that can take away your sins. And those that are standing there offering up the Mass cannot take away your sins. That’s an amazing anomaly, isn’t it? We have Catholic priests that claim that they through the sacrifice of the Mass can bring about the forgiveness of your sin when the Bible says, in Hebrews 10-11, every priest standeth daily, ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices which can never, can never take away sins.

It’s impossible. It cannot take away any sins at all. Then, verse 12 goes on to say in Hebrews 10, but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God. So again, Here we have Christ offering up one sacrifice that satisfied God’s justice for eternity and is the means by which we are declared pure and holy in God’s sight the moment we trust Him as Savior. Verse 14 says, For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

So by one offering he perfects the believer forever and ever and ever. In other words, you are made pure and holy. Forever and ever in God’s sight, positionally God sees every believer as though he had never committed a single act of sin. Number 17 says as a result, there are sins and iniquities, will I remember no more. In other words, once you trust Christ, you are saved forever. Your sins and iniquities will never be remembered again, as far as your salvation is concerned.

Your past, your present, your future sins are fully paid for, and will never come back into remembrance. God completely forgives them, and He erases them, and there will be no more remembered by God. In verse 18 says in Hebrews chapter 10, now where remission of these is, that is the remission of your sins, there is no more, no more. That means no additional or no other sacrifice or offering is necessary for sin. In other words, the one time sacrifice of Christ was sufficient to take care of all of your sins for all eternity.

Let me go back to verse 10 again. Hebrews 10, 10, by the which will or by the will of God we are sanctified or made pure and holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ one time for all. So if you have trusted Christ, you are forever saved and you can absolutely be assured that you will never ever go to hell. Once you’re saved, you cannot be lost. What about if you backslide? Well, I have a great verse here that is really terrific.

It says in verse 39, we are not of them that draw back, that means backslide unto partition, but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. In other words, we and the writer of Hebrews includes himself, which he obviously is a believer. We are not of them who draw back. That means the backslide. It says here under perdition. Now you can backslide, but you cannot backslide into hell or perdition. But it says in the last phrase, we’re of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

In other words, you’re eternally saved. Even if you backslide, you can’t backslide into hell, the Bible says. Now what you can lose is your confidence. You can lose your steadfastness. You can lose your rewards. You can lose your joy. You can lose your effectiveness, you can lose your testimony, but you cannot lose your salvation. So once you become saved, you become saved eternally. I hope you have trusted Christ as your Savior. If you haven’t, do it right now. Just say, Lord, I am a sinner.

I don’t understand much about the Bible, but I believe Jesus Christ died for me, paid my sin dead and full was buried and rose again from the dead. I’m Dr. Englinschram and this is Bibleline. We’re coming to you live. It’s Friday from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. We invite you to come by and visit us if you’re ever in the area. If you live in the area, of course we want you to come by and you can come by and visit our Resource Center every day up until about 4.30 in the afternoon.

You can also come by on a worship day and the third Sunday We’ll be having a special Christmas celebration service and dinner. On the 17th we invite you to come and join us for our Christmas celebration dinner on the third Sunday of December. We’re out right now going to go to Roger in Mobile, Alabama and Roger, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Yes, I was thinking a little bit yesterday about the fellow that called about Fierro. First of all, God has a right to change his mind.

You take a… on the mark with Moses, Moses caused God to repent and change his mind. Secondly, God is able to change the rules if he wishes. We go from the old covenant to the new covenant. First they could need certain meats under the old covenant, and we can under the new covenant to change the rules is able to change the rules. He’s God. And thirdly, the motive. Why did Feral, why wouldn’t he let the children of people, of God had a different purpose altogether?

He wanted to glorify himself as you to the people. So there’s two different purposes. And of course, God could repent. He probably would have allowed Feral to let him go at first, find and kept that thing going. So he’s God, and I don’t question anything that he did. and the way he worked it out I believe was just right. Okay. Well obviously we have to trust God and that he does the right thing. I like Genesis 1825. It says, show not the God of the earth do that which is right.

And he always does. And we have to trust that he is a righteous just God who always does things. And one day we’ll completely understand them even though we don’t maybe fully understand everything. one day, understand everything and obviously recognize that he was absolutely right. Thank you. All right. Thank you, Roger. And of course, we know that God really doesn’t change the rules, but he had a covenant with Israel that was an earthly covenant for earthly blessings and the law was given to really bring a teacher to make sure that they understood their need of Christ.

It says in Galatians, the law is a school master to bring us to Christ. It was given because of man’s sin to reveal to him his sinfulness. We know that when we compare our lives against the standard of the law, we realize we have come short of the glory of God. We have sinned against the Lord because there is no one who has ever kept the Ten Commandments. We now have John in Richmond, Virginia and John, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air.

John, you are on the air. Don’t listen to the radio or you get confused. We are on the air right now. John somehow is listening to the radio. We’re going to have to come back to John and hopefully he will be ready when we come back. We’re going to go to David in Tampa, Florida and David will come back on. Hello David. I’m from Holland. Yes, I’m here. All right, you’re on here. Turn your radio down. All right, what is your question?

Okay, the question I have is, so much of the question is, I’m concerned we’re being inundated with a hosting and I wonder your take of coming to swamp with that probably enough to give you an idea where my concern is. Okay. Well if you listen to the teachings of Joel’s thing, he’s not much into the Bible at all and he did an interview with Larry King live and on that show Larry King has some very good questions like if somebody dies without Christ, would they go to hell?

And Joel says, I don’t know. And he said, I don’t know about 20 times on that show. And yet the Bible tells us very clearly we can know. He was asked if Christ was the only way to heaven. He said, I don’t know. That seems so elementary, so basic that it scares me when people like that are so popular as a so-called Christian minister when they apparently don’t know the very fundamentals of the faith. Christ said I’m the way the truth in the life and no man come with under the face.

father but by me. And so Christ clearly is the only way to heaven. And yes, if a person dies without Christ, they will not make heaven. As Christ says to those that are unbelievers in Matthew 25, 41, depart from a ye cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. And so the Bible is very clear. And so he should have said if he was a believer in the scriptures or knew what the scriptures taught. Yes, I do know.

Here’s the answer. Yes, I do know. Here’s the answer. Yes, I do know. The Bible is full of nose sows and not don’t nose. So I’m a little disappointed in that. And yet people are wanting to have their ears tickled and he’s very entertaining and he’s a motivational speaker. And if you’re going to be entertained, you will be entertained and it will be fun, but I wouldn’t look to him for any Bible doctrine because apparently he, by his own words, says I don’t know.

So I hope that helps a little bit. I’m interested in amazing, amazing how the crowd will follow. Sometimes those that aren’t necessarily locked down tight to the Bible. I appreciate that it helps you very much and also it’s clean fly. I see it listed as as critically as Christianity light. Yeah, it is like Christianity for sure because it’s just fluffiness and more fluff than substance. Thank you very much. Thank you David. That’s where we’re going in Christianity today, unfortunately.

We do thank you for that call. We have a number of off-air questions here. One is Dr. Lindstrom. Thank you for bringing the word hyper dispensationalism to me when I was asking about Paul’s writings compared to the remainder of the New Testament. I did some more searching and I see that they have some strange teachings and they have an obsession that baptism is not for this present dispensation. I realize that baptism doesn’t save us but I sure can’t understand why they are so absolutely against it.

The main question I wanted to ask is this. Why does there seem to be such a difference between the teachings of Jesus and the disciples compared to Paul? Well, there really isn’t. They’re all on the same page. If you read, for example, Acts 1511. Here you have Peter speaking very plainly, and he says, but we believe that through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we, the Jews, shall be saved even as they, the Gentiles. That’s Acts 1511. So he taught salvation by grace through faith, alone in Christ.

In In fact, Peter tells us that everybody, all the prophets and all the Old Testament saints were believed by believing that message of grace. It says in Acts 10, 43, Peter again is speaking to Jesus or Yeshua from the Hebrew, and again Yeshua occurs over 130 times in the Old Testament when translated into English, Yeshua is Jesus. You can really write in your margin in the Old Testament over 130 times Jesus wherever Yeshua occurs which is the contraction of God’s name, the four consonants Y H W H which we often pronounce today is Yahweh and the word Yasha, the word in Hebrew for salvation, the two words together, Yahweh and Yahshah, the contraction is Yeshua, and in English, Yeshua is Jesus, and Peter says in X1043 to Yeshua, or Jesus, give all the prophets witness that through his name, that is the name of Yeshua, or

Jesus, whosoever believeth in Him shall receive the remission of their sins. So Peter is very clear that everybody has been saved by faith. The law never saved anyone. Peter didn’t believe the law would save him. In fact, in Galatians 2 16, a favorite verse of mine, Paul is talking to Peter and he says, Peter, you know that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ and Peter, even we, you and I, have believed in Jesus Christ and have been justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

So basically, you have, of course, up until Pentecost, the dispensation of law was still in effect. The temple was in Jerusalem, they offered up blood sacrifices and they observed the Sabbath and kept the commandments. But that had to do with God’s administration as to how Israel was to live in order to have the earthly promises that he promised to them. But nobody was ever saved by keeping the law. And Christ, of course, is the only one who ever kept the law who never sinned a single act of sin.

I hope that helps a little bit. Thank you for that question that came in. And I don’t even have a name. I think it’s anonymous. But I hope that helps a little bit. We’re going to go to Frank in St. Petersburg. And Frank, welcome to Bibleline you on the earth. Oh, hi Dr. Hank, thank you very much for taking my phone call. I appreciate your ministry. My question is, I actually have my Bible in front of me. Hebrews after 6 verses 4 to 6.

And my question basically is, how can some churches Teach the and use use these two verse. Yeah, there’s this board of six to say that you can lose your salvation So that’s that’s my question. I’ll hang up bone and listen to a shaker ministry and do thanks a lot Frank You know and this is a verse that really proves the opposite it really proves you’re eternally secure He’s talking here about people in verse four who were were obviously saved.

There are five points here. They were enlightened. They tasted of the heavenly gift which I believe is salvation. They were made partakers of the Holy Spirit. They tasted the good word of God and the powers of the world become. Obviously all marks of somebody who has been born again. And it says if you fall away which has to do with not falling from salvation which is impossible but falling away from serving the Lord, falling away from their confidence and their steadfastness and living for Christ.

He said, is it impossible for these to go back and become saved again. It says it’s impossible to renew them again under repentance, the change of mind that occurs when you get saved. Because if they went back and tried to become saved again, it says here seeing they crucified of themselves, the Son of God afresh. And therefore it says they put him to an open chain. So if you stop serving the Lord and you feel like you have to go back and become saved again, then that is a blasphemy.

By the way, that’s what happens with the Roman Catholic Mass. The Roman Catholic Church teaches that the Catholic loses his salvation when he sins during the week. Then he goes back and does confession, is assigned penance, is eligible to go to the Mass. And at the Mass, they crucified Jesus Christ all over again to pay for sin and then they become forgiven again up until that point. Then they go out and they sin during the week again, then they have to go to confession, again assigned penance, become eligible to go to the Mass and get forgiven again.

Well they have to go back and be saved again and again and again. So Roman Catholic theology teaches that you’re saved and lost and saved and lost and saved and saved and lost and saved and lost. No word is the Bible ever teach that you can be born again again. Once you become born again, you’re born again forever. There is no condition under which you can become unborn. That’s true physically as well. You can never become unborn and separate from the human race.

you have been born physically, you will forever be a descendant of Adam and forever be a member of the human race. But to be a member of God’s family, you have to trust Christ and be born again. And so you’re born again at the moment you trust. Jesus as your Savior. And of course that is of course wonderful news. So the whole chapter goes on to talk about how that this person needs to remember verse 10 that God has done on righteous to forget their labor of love and their work of love.

He’ll reward him for that. He says in verse 9 he’s talking about things that accompany salvation. He is not talking about becoming saved again. He is talking about Christians verse 12, should not be slothful or lazy, but the followers of those who are really are mentors in the faith who will receive the rewards that come by faithful service. So Hebrews is talking about that. In any case I thank you for that question, Frank. And obviously this doesn’t teach you can lose it.

She teaches you can’t ever lose it and can never go back and try to become saved again. I remember one lady in particular, she told me she’d lost her salvation seven times. I put on my sad face and I said, oh, I feel so badly for you. She said, what do you mean? I said, if this passage teaches what you say it does, and if you’ve lost your salvation, this passage says it’s impossible for you to get it back.

You’re going to go to hell. There’s nothing I can do about it. you can do about it. You’re headed for hell and you know she changed everything. She said, well I didn’t really lose it. I came close. But this passage teaches if you ever lost it, you can’t get it back. It’s not talking about that. It’s talking about if you get away from serving the Lord, you can’t go back and become saved again. You need to start serving again.

Time for that break. We’ll be back in just a minute. Don’t go away. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Could you perhaps pray about giving a special Christmas gift to Bibleline? We would like to make sure all of our bills are paid and that we enter the year 2007 with no debt. Would you consider giving a special gift to Christ? You know, a lot of people make up their Christmas list and they don’t include Jesus on the list at all. They don’t go shopping for Christ. Yet the wise men brought all their gifts to Christ. Every one of their gifts were given to Christ.

They didn’t say, here Mary is a gift for you. Here Joseph, there’s a gift for you. And look at all these presents we brought for the baby Jesus. No, they gave all their gifts to Christ. And obviously we ought to follow that example. So think about giving a gift by one. You can do that by mail and if you call we’ll send you an envelope with our address on it or you can do it by credit card over the phone.

about giving a special gift. This is the first month of December to the Bibleline Ministries. We’re going to return to the stations that have been on break and do the second half of Bibleline. And if you can’t get it on your station, go to the internet and get it. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom.

It’s by blind. It’s Friday and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church. We’d love to have you come by and visit our Resource Center. We’re open every day till about 4.30 in the afternoon and they’re always open also on our worship days before and after the worship services. And we’d love to have you come by during the Christmas holidays. We will have a special Christmas celebration service on the 17th of December, Sunday, and following will be a great Christmas dinner.

You’re invited to be my guest. Bring your family, your Bible, your appetite, and join us for the 1030 service and then stay for the dinner that will follow. We hope you’ll do that. And also we hope that you have a wonderful Christmas, Mary Christmas to you early. And we hope that it will be a great time this month of evangelizing. you have family members and friends that you’ll see at this Christmas season and you won’t see them again maybe for years.

And here’s your chance to be able to share with them the gospel. We have lots of tools. We have some wonderful tracks that really do the job pretty much almost by themselves. We have two tracks we have called, Am I Going to Heaven? And one is one I just recently wrote that has some of the most common terms that people are hearing from preachers in evangelists that are incorrect. And it just gives them a quiz. What do they think they have to do good in heaven?

They’ll usually bite on it and check a number of those. They’re all wrong. And then it gives you an answer for each one and the scriptures why and how the correct answer is the trust Jesus alone. And we’ve seen so many people get saved through these tracks. You can include them in your Christmas cards. You can include them in your gifts. We also have some CDs that are called How Permanent are your Salvation. This one is very powerful. We’ve had thousands get saved by listening to this CD.

You might be target special people that are unsaved and with your gift maybe include that CD. or in your card include that CD so they could listen how to be saved. And you’ll find that if they’ll listen to it, there’s a great percentage of those that will get saved. We’ve just found that out through experience that we have people getting saved all the time. I’ve told the story, but we had a fellow call from Tennessee. He was in the hospital.

He was dying. He had 15 friends praying for him. And one of them from Florida sent him the CD, How Permanent is your Salvation. He played that CD, he said he got saved. He called the phone number on the outside of the CD, hoping the number would still be a working number and found us, never heard of us before in his life. And he ordered 15 of those How Permanent are your CDs. He wanted to give back to all those who had prayed for him.

And so he wanted to send a CD to each of those 15 people. One of them had sent him the CD. What a great way to get the gospel out. And we have a number of other tracks and literature. And we’re going to announce something really special here that will help you win your friends to Christ. You know, this is the time. The gift of Christmas is really the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. And if you have been observing Christmas and have not received that gift, then you have missed the meaning of Christmas all whatever number of years you have lived thus far.

By the way, Bibleline islister supported and we would love to have this month be a month when we could get all of our bills cleared up. And if you would consider giving a special Christmas gift to Bibleline, that would be greatly appreciated. Jesus on your shopping list. You know a lot of people have a shopping list and they shop for the kids and when they answer the uncles and this friend and that friend and Jesus is left off the list.

And yet it’s his birthday and the wise men when they came they brought all their gifts to Christ. Have you thought about adding just Jesus to the list? Maybe you could give a gift to Bibleline and give a gift that would count for eternity as you Help Bibleline get the message of the Gospel out. This would be a great month. The Bibleline radio with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. You can do it by mail if you call. We’ll give you our operational send you an envelope with our address printed on it or you can do it by credit card over the phone.

Whatever works for you and on our website and our online bookstore there’s a secure place there to give a gift to the Bibleline as well. Consider being a Bibleline partner, praying for us and giving to see Bibleline stay on the air. We’re gonna go to Gerald in Memphis, Tennessee, and Gerald just dropped off the air. So hopefully Gerald will call back and we’ll get him up in a minute. We have, let’s see here, Jason in St. Petersburg, and Jason, welcome to Bibleline, you’re on the air.

Take a moment, Blenstrom. Good morning. Hey, I just, in the, in the Bible talks about the, there are different books and scrolls in heaven. Of course, the mane, whenever everybody talks about it, the land. land’s book of life. Remember, and so I want to… All right, you know, there are books, the Bible says Revelation 20 in particular in verse 12. It talks about books in contrast to the book of life. These books record everything that has ever been done, apparently.

And so all of your works, all of your deeds are there recorded and God will reward them. In fact, it says God even remembers every tear that you’ve ever shed, every heartache you’ve ever had. And so I think one day you’re going to be compensated as a believer, and so will I, for any times we’ve been mistreated or hurt or injured or whatever has happened to us, and God is going to reward us for our labors for Christ and what a wonderful day that will be.

But at the same time, unbelievers will stand at a totally different judgment, and these books will be opened up and they’ll be assigned a degree of punishment according to their works. And so these are books that where God has recorded everything you’ve ever done in your entire life. And so hopefully Jason that helps. Now I’ll catch the retox about it. I was wondering if the written scroll remembers. I don’t believe it has to do with the Rapture, but the principle is still true.

The Rapture really isn’t there in the Old Testament. It is there in type or picture, but God didn’t really reveal this present age until after Israel had bona fidely rejected his offer of the Kingdom, which has been postponed, which will still take place when Christ comes at his second coming. But it really isn’t there. He talks about the first and the second resurrections, which are the resurrections of the Saved and of the Lost, but we’re in a special resurrection, but the principle is still the same.

In 1 Corinthians 3, it talks about how we will have our works evaluated at the Judgment Seed of Christ, and our works will be made known. Fire will declare whether they were worthy of reward or not of reward. It says in verse 14, if any man’s work abide which you have built there upon, he shall receive a reward, but if any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss of reward, but he himself shall still be saved. So our rewards will definitely be based on our works, and those are recorded in these books the Bible talks about.

Fantastic. Thank you for taking the call. You’re very welcome. That was Jason in St. Petersburg, Florida. And we also now have a caller in Richmond, Virginia, and we welcome Edgar to the broadcast. Edgar, welcome to my line. You’re on the air. How are you doing today, Dr. Hank? Good. My first one is worthy of repentance, 38. All right. Luke and Matthew, they all cover about this, and that is evidences that we truly have changed our mind and accepted, Christ is our Savior.

And the fruit of the Spirit, of course, is the fruit that the Spirit bears when we yield our lives to Him, and that is nine-fold in Galatians 5, 22, and 23, which is love and joy and self-control and so on and so on. And all of that is manifested in the life of a believer who’s yielded to the Lord. But also we are to win people to Christ and the real fruit of the believer is us He was bearing fruit after our own kind.

Since we are believers, we should have baby believers that come about as a result of our sharing the gospel with others. There John the Baptist, of course, was a little bit skeptic of why some of these religious leaders who came down from Jerusalem to kind of spy out what was happening, why they would want to be baptized. And he said, I’m not going to baptize you because I don’t believe you are believers. So he wanted to have some type of evidence.

And the best, of course, is your testimony. And your testimony is not basically how you live your life. Biblically, it is what you say with your mouth concerning Christ. In other words, when you give your testimony, you should say, I was lost, I was a sinner, but Jesus died for me and I trusted in his death in shed blood and his burial and his resurrection as the means of my salvation. Edgar, I sure hope that helps you in your understanding of that fruits of repentance.

It is the result of having been saved. You now can live with the Lord and you can show that you truly are. Once I got saved, I had to be basically forced to go to church by my parents before my salvation experience. Once I got saved, I wanted to go to church. In fact, I was leading the family out. I had to be almost forced to read my Bible prior to my salvation, but once I got saved, I wanted to read my Bible.

These were all self-evidences to me that something really happened here in my life. Obviously, these are self-evidences, but the way you You really know that you are saved as you believe what God has said and He has given us a written guarantee in 1 John 5 verse 13 where He says that He has written this to those who believe on the name of the Son of God that they may know, not hope or guess or perhaps, but they can actually know that they have HIV-E eternal life.

We have Wally calling in and he leaves this off your question. It seems he says, in these days Romans 10, 9, and 10 is being used for the gospel. He says, this doesn’t jive with the real and true gospel of Christ. I believe when you look at the entire chapter, these verses are dealing with witnessing. Could you give us your thoughts on these verses? And I agree with you, Wally. talking about if you are a believer that we ought to be confessing Christ to the lost and it says in Romans 10 9 if we confess that Jesus died in Rose again, it talks with our mouth that we would be saved.

Now he’s talking here about salvation through the death, barrel and blood of Christ, but it is not our confession or our witness of Christ that saves us. It is our trusting that He did it for us. Verse 10 is indispensable in this mixture because verse 10 says with the heart or the mind, man believes and has made righteous. So when you believe you are made righteous when you trust Christ, but then it says with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So we confess to the salvation that we’ve received when we believed, and then it talks about people hearing that confession and getting saved. And it says, how can they call in Him in whom they have not heard, and how can they hear unless somebody comes and tells them, and we’re the ones who should be telling, as it says there, that we’re the witnesses that should be confessing Christ to the lost. But we’re not saved by confessing Christ to the lost.

We’re saved by trusting that he died for us on the cross of Calvary. Thank you, Wallach, and I hope that helps a little bit on that. And you’re absolutely right. I believe you’ve read that entire chapter carefully. You’ll find that the word that we confess is in our mouth because we have trusted Christ and we ought to be able to share with somebody else what we have to do. John in Richmond, Virginia, we lost him earlier. He couldn’t apparently stay on the air, but he leaves this off air question just now.

He called back and he says in John 3 5, what is the water? Well, Christ said, except of man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God. The water, I believe, is the flesh birth. When you come into this world, you’re enclosed in a sack of water in your mother’s womb. When the water sack breaks, then out you come. And that’s true for all of us. If you are a human, that’s the way you enter this world.

And if you are a mother or if you’re a husband, you’re fully aware of you’ve had children that when the water breaks, it’s time for that baby to come out in a very short order. And it’s very clear in the context, if you read verse 4, Nicodemus, when Tony had to be born again, got confused. He said, how can a man when he’s old go back into his mother’s womb and come out again to be born again? Well, obviously he misunderstood and he was thinking though about the flesh, birth, the water birth that we just mentioned.

Then in verse 6 on the other side of verse 5 and John 3 Christ said that which is born and the flesh is flesh and that’s the water birth and that which is born and the spirit is spirit. That’s the spirit birth and you have to have both to be saved. But if you read the verse very clearly, everybody that Christ is addressing, and in particular Nicodemus already had the water birth, now he says you have to be born again.

So the second birth, the spirit birth, occurs when you trust Christ as your Savior. And so the water, I think without a doubt, because verse 4 and verse 6 talked about the flesh birth in connection with the water and is clearly talking about being enclosed in that second water in your mother’s womb. And then you’re born physically. Well everybody’s already had the physical birth, you don’t have to go back and repeat that. But you do have to have a new birth, a spiritual birth from above or from heaven.

And Christ says in verse 7, marvel not that I said unto thee, you must be born again. So in order to go to heaven you have to have a second birth, you’ve already had the first one, the water birth, now you need to have the second birth which is the birth of the spirit. John, in Richmond, Virginia, I hope that answers it, sorry we didn’t get you live earlier and we missed that opportunity. But I’m glad that you went ahead and called in and left the question.

Ryan in Allendale, South Carolina, writes in and leaves this question. He says, you say Satan never lived in heaven. I disagree, Ryan says, because what about his presence in front of the Lord? We know he has access to heaven with the story of Job. Well obviously, if you’re reading Job, that’s seen in chapter 1 and in chapter 2, occurs here on the earth, the scene is not in heaven. It was Job’s children that had come to worship the Lord and Satan comes along to observe what was going on.

And even today when we come together to worship his Christians, Satan comes and checks in on us. He certainly knows what’s going on. And he is the accuser of the brethren. Yes, that’s exactly right. Revelation 12 talks about that, but he can get on the telephone like we can as well. You can talk to the Lord. If you want, you can accuse Satan, they’re giving you a hard time. You can accuse Satan, just like he accuses you and me as believers.

In any case, it doesn’t mean he lives in heaven or is in heaven, but he can get through on the telephone line. I call it the prayer line. But definitely, Satan came to communicate with God, but he doesn’t live in heaven, never did live in heaven. He tried to overthrow heaven and was cast back down to the earth, the Bible says. And we believe that the result of that judgment destroyed the earth in verse 2, and that a re-creative week had to be brought about to bring about human life on the planet.

that all of the angels lived on the original earth of Genesis 1-1 and when Satan tried to overthrow heaven as he led a rebellion from the planet earth. Jude 6 talks about the angels which left their first estate. They left the planet earth to go to heaven and their take over heaven and God cast them back down to the Earth and Judge the Earth, Jude 6 I think describes exactly that. Thank you Ryan and it’s all right to disagree.

But I think that the Bible is quite clear that Satan never lived in heaven. We have Floyd. Floyd is in Tampa, Florida. Floyd, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hey, you know Dr. Hank? Good. Hey, listen, you’d be a real good on that first hand. I didn’t really enjoy that. I’d give you eight blocks. Okay, you’re so proud of you. Okay, listen, this is my question. But while back, I remember you saying something about, you know, when Jesus died on the cross, and he was saying, you know, I jumped up by that, and then he was speaking Arabic, but most of the disciples, some of them didn’t know what that meant.

But I heard you say that God had turned his back on Jesus, and I heard some other. not with singing like if he turns his back on Jesus and is that I know he can’t do that, but he will turn his back on singing. And most of you are describing that since Jesus had taken all the things of the world and God, no, no singing can enter heaven, that is why he did that. But I I’m saying this is just nice.

I’m also I’m gonna believe that he was close first verse to feel the least At least 33 processes were on that particular date when he was on the crop. So that was just one of them that had the beatful feel. So I think that he had to spray that because it was predicted that he would say that along with my promise to do the thing that he had to say that to confirm that this is the. Who’s supposed to be on the cross at this particular time?

Well, you’re right. You’re right about that He certainly fulfilled that prophecy, but notice what he said and he didn’t lie. He said my God my God why hostile forsaken me. So Christ was forsaken on the cross, and if you read Isaiah 53, it talks about how the righteous servant of Jehovah, which is the Messiah, Jesus, was forsaken. And he was forsaken by men and by God as he became sinned for us. And it says in verse 5 of Isaiah 53, he was wounded for our transgressions.

He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed, all we like sheep have gone astray. We’ve turned everyone to His own way, and the Lord has fled on Him, the iniquity of us all. So what took place there was that Jesus became sin, and God turned His back on the man Jesus, Obviously, Jesus is God also, and God didn’t turn his back on himself, God, but he turned his back on the man Jesus, who became sin for us.

And you’ll notice the focus in the early part of the program today in Hebrews. It says that by the Witch-Wheeler, by the will of God, we are sanctified or made pure and holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ. In the focus again in verse 12, this man referred to Jesus, the man Jesus, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, set down on the right hand of God. In the focus there is clearly on the man Jesus, the body of Christ being offered up, and how that God turned his back on the man Jesus and Jesus died as the sacrificial lamb of God.

point, and I thank you for giving me an A+, on the first half of the show, and hopefully that helps clarify. But he didn’t say it just to fulfill the passage. It was the passage had foretold really what would take place, and that he truly was forsaken by God the Father as the man Jesus. And as a result, he paid the full penalty for our sin which is death and death in the Bible always means separation and here Christ was separated from the Father because of the sin that was laid upon Him.
