And I’d love to have you be sitting here if you are in the area. Don’t forget this program streamed at the Internet.
A lot of folks are using the Internet to hear this program again and again. And it’s there for your convenience at whatever time. I have a lot of people that tell me when they come home from work in the evening because they can’t hear the complete program they’re in their car or they’re in their truck or things are going on or their distractions at work. So they like to go home in the evening and after dinner at their leisure they go and turn on the computer and they’re able to listen to the Bible and program of that day without distraction.
And maybe you’d like to do that. You can do it. Go to BibleLineMinistries.org or dot com. Click on the, I think the best way you got three places to click there but you can click on the TV set and that page that comes up will say on the right side, click here for Bible and radio on the left side. It will say click here for Bible and Television. It is that simple. So you can get your choice between our television programs and our radio programs right there on the internet.
Bibleline ministry is not ORG. And we have tons of other things. We have the Bible there. You can search it. You can go to the Concordant, so look at the original words. You can actually scroll down and be reading the Bible and have it read to you at the same time. There are five different readers you can choose from. You can find a voice that is suitable for you. Listen to it. I like to do that where I can read and hear it at the same time.
That’s neat when you read it. Maybe you can read it out loud while the other guy is reading it out loud to you. I think it helps cement the word in your head. You might give that a try. We’ve got a lot of good things on there. Much more than we take time to explain here on the radio but our website is really quite quite the thing and I want to thank David who is my webmaster who does such a great job he’s probably listening right now and he does all that work up in Virginia for me and it’s amazing that work that you can do now by way of internet you can be almost anywhere in the world.
It’s the World Wide Web is now what they say. Our TV programs are there and also our Sunday morning worship is there and I had a couple call me this morning and said they watched our morning service yesterday live and they said it was wonderful they enjoyed that and so we’re glad that we’re able to be a blessing when you’re not able to find a good church or actually get out maybe you’re set in you can watch our worship service on the internet Give it a try by the line ministries.org.com.
Again, last day today I’ve got to know about Israel. Give me a call. I’d love to have you go. We’ve got a wonderful group going and we had a couple cancellations so we have a couple openings and we can put you in. And this is, I think, I think, and I’ve said it before, but I think this is it, the final day. So let me know. Give me a call and I’ll talk to you directly about it if you like.
We can answer any questions you might have. I think we’ll have a safe trip, a wonderful trip, and there’s so much to see in Israel, you can’t do it all in one trip. I’ll tell you that. I’ve been 13 times, this will be trip number 14 for me. We’re going to take a look at the Bible for a few minutes, and we’re going to take our collars. You’re welcome to call us here at 1-800-576-3771. I’m going to talk about Acts 2.38.
There is no verse in the New Testament so misinterpreted and so misunderstood as Acts 2.38. Those who would add works to salvation, that is add works to salvation which is by faith alone, use Acts 2.38 as their proof text. Especially those groups that teach water baptism is necessary for salvation. They try to use Acts 2.38 to support their view. Well what does Acts 2.38 really say and we’re We’re going to talk about that. And by the way, there are 10 baptisms taught in the New Testament.
Most of them don’t involve water. Most of them don’t involve any liquid. Let me just give you some of my list and you can call and we can send out this list to you. But there are 10 baptisms. Plus I have a CD on two messages we combine on one CD called the 10 baptisms of the New Testament. One is the baptism of John the Baptist. is the baptism of fire. Another is the baptism of death. Another is the different, many different baptisms of the Old Testament.
Another is believer’s baptism. Another is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Another is the baptism of Jesus Himself. Another is the baptism of Moses. Another is a baptism called the baptism of pots and pans, that’s right. You heard me right. And the tenth one is the baptism in the name of the word Jesus. And so if you don’t know that there are ten different baptisms, the problem becomes when people hear the word baptize their minds lock up and they think water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, they just go right to water.
And unless you are a careful student of the Bible and read the context carefully, you might just see the word baptize and your mind will go water. water, water, water, water, water, when it’s not water, there are ten different baptism, so you have to be able to distinguish, that’s what’s called rightly dividing the word of truth. You know, in 2 Timothy 2, 15 it says study, this showed I self-approved, of course that’s at the judgment seat of Christ where rewards are given, as a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
That means the truth of God’s Word in right order. Are you capable of doing that? Well hopefully by listening to Bible I learned how to do that. I’ve had so many people tell me, wow, I have learned how to read the Bible for myself. I have learned how I can take a passage and figure out what it’s saying. This is the secret. It really is to be able to distinguish what the passage is talking about. you have ten baptisms that can cause a little bit of a problem.
Well, let me read Acts 2.38. It says, Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Well, there are two things that really need to be explained. First of all, Repent has to be defined. Repent comes from the Greek word metanoia, which means a change of mind. The Greek word for repentance does not mean to turn from sin, or it does not mean sorrow for sin as so often is taught.
Repentance in salvation means a change of mind from any idea of religion that man might have to be saved and accepting God’s plan of salvation, which is by faith without works. Nowhere in the scripture does the phrase, quote, repent of sin, quote, appear. It’s just not in the Bible, not once. Isn’t that amazing? Not once. And how many times have you heard a preacher say repent of sin? It’s not even in the Bible, not even in the Bible. And it doesn’t make any sense because if you understand the true meaning of the word repent, it means to change your mind.
Now I don’t know about you, but I was raised as a little boy right on up to think that sin was wrong. If I had to repent of sin and use the correct definition of the word repent. I would change my mind about sin and that would mean I guess, in my case, since I was always thought it was wrong, that I would say sin is wonderful. What have I been missing out on? Wow! I thought it was wrong.
Now if I change my mind about it, I guess I would be alternative solution is I would say sin is wonderful. And of course, that’s totally crazy. But I’m just pointing out that the phrase repent of sin doesn’t make any sense at all. If you rightly define the word repent from the Greek word metanale which means to change your mind. It does not mean to turn from sin. In the book of Acts in chapter 20 it says, Repentance as a change of mind toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
So saving faith includes that change of mind which is called repentance. When you trust Christ you do repent. You change your mind from whatever you were previously trusting in. In Acts 2.38, this repentance is a change of mind about who is Jesus Christ. Peter had concluded his message in Acts 2.38 by saying, therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God hath made that same Jesus, the one whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ. The point made by Peter was that Jesus, or the Jews rather, had crucified Jesus because they thought he was a fraud and a posture, not the Savior, that the Scriptures that promised.
So Peter is saying that the very same Jesus that they had crucified had proved by his resurrection that he is both for Lord, that is Jehovah or Yahweh, and Christ, or he is the Messiah. So when Peter asked for repentance, he was asking them to change your mind about Jesus and recognize that Jesus Christ is God in human flesh and the promise Savior of the Bible. Then, of course, then he says, be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Well the word baptize means by definition to wash, to cleanse, to fully well. Coming from the Greek word baptizo and it doesn’t always mean with water. As we mentioned a moment ago there are ten different baptisms in the New Testament. Now if you read this verse carefully it says, be baptized every one of you, not in water, in. So, this really could read the baptized or was or cleansed or fully well and every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ.
So, isn’t there cleansing power in the name of Jesus Christ? The answer, of course, is yes. In 1 Corinthians 6 and 11, it talks about many of the Corinthians being listed along with the Lord. a long list of different sins that they were involved with. It says, in such were some of you, but you are washed. You are sanctified. You are justified in the name. So here talks about a washing, a cleansing, a baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
So basically, Acts 2.30 is saying, change your mind about who Christ is and be baptized are washed, cleansed, every one of you in the name or in the authority that Jesus Christ gave for the remission of sins. You’re going to receive the Holy Spirit. So that’s really what it’s talking about. It’s talking about the same thing we’ve always said here at Bibleline that we’re saved by faith and not by works. When you trust Christ, when you change your mind about who He is and what He did, trust Him as your Savior and your cleanser washed in the name or in the authority that Christ gave at Calvary.
I’m Dr. Englunds from this is Bibleline. We’re excited to be with you. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We have most of our lines lit up. We’ve got a lot of off-air questions we’ll try to get a hold of and take care of today. We have Antonio in Spring Hill, Florida. And Antonio, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the end. I have a question on. I’m going to tell exactly how was the Bible made? made in terms of you know you had you know john mukos i know that they they they different types of exactly how was the bible put together that’s a great question basically the bible was written by authentic spokesperson for god that is in the old testament of profit and like mosas when he wrote he was accepted as god’s man god’s profit and they accepted his words as big the words of god and so
when they took his books they put them in what was the Ark of the Covenant and each successive prophet that wrote also was accepted as they wrote as being the word of God because they were authentic spokesperson for God recognized by the people to be such and so they accepted the New Testament the same way. All the apostles who wrote the New Testament were authentic spokesperson for God and their writings were accepted as scripture. And we find that Peter talks about Paul’s writings being scripture over in 2 Peter chapter 3.
And we find that Luke’s writings are ascribed as scripture by Paul and so on. And so they were all accepted at the time. In fact, Paul when he is addressing the people at Thessalon-Nikah in 1 Thessalonians chapter 2, he makes this remarkable statement which is worthy of note. If you have your Bible open there, Antonio 1 Thessalonians 2.13, Paul says, for this cause also we thank God without ceasing because when you receive the Word of God which you heard of us, you receive that not as the Word of Ben, but as it is in truth the Word of God which effectively worketh also in you that believe.
So there Paul says, you accepted my words as being God’s Word. And so each book was added as it was written, and the last book being the book of Revelation that concluded the whole book and nothing more is to be added or taken from it. And that’s kind of a summary. All the councils that have met down through time never decided what books would be in the Bible. They simply affirmed that what we have, beginning with the council of Nicaea, in the the fourth century, they said that the 39 books in the Old Testament, the 27 books that we have in our New Testament are indeed the Word of God.
And each successive council down through time has agreed. These are the books that are the Word of God and nothing has changed. Each book was accepted as it was written. Anyone who ever wrote something? Well they wrote different books and they were not accepted. Yeah, there’s a whole lot of even false writings called the pseudopigropha. That means false writings and included in those are of course the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Judas and a lot of these things that are printed out now on the Discover Your History Channel.
I would not deal with those. They were written much, much later. The Gospel of Judas written about the fourth century. So it was or at least two or three centuries after Christ. And obviously disagree and contradict what we have in our Bible so they could not be scripture. And I don’t think Judas obviously could have written it. Good morning, Dr. Hank. We’d like to know about Chapter 3 of the Pratna scene. We’d like to know if that’s the case.
bring you all for us great we have a Benjamin in clear water and Benjamin welcome to my to my one good morning, Dr. Hunt. We like to know about the first of John chapter three verse eight. They are said, who ever practiced sin belong to devil, but in verse nine say the people of God do nothing. and we like to know if that is before if he talking about our spirit and also if that is before we came to Jesus.
Thank you. Thank you Benjamin and we’ll answer that right now. First John 3-9 has caused a puzzle for many people. It says in 1 John 3-9, Whose Whoever is Born of God that not commits sin. And the word practice really isn’t there. The Greek word for practice is a totally different word. The word here is po’eo and it means to commit a single act. So it’s saying here, whose whoever is born of God does not commit a single act of sin.
But yet in 1 John 1 8 it says, if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. It almost seems like we have a contradiction here. But what’s going on here is that we have a new nature that 1 John 3 9 is talking about that is not capable of sinning once we trust Christ. So it speaks here about the new birth notice, whose whoever is born of God, that’s the new birth does not commit a single act of sin.
Speaking of the new nature that we have is not capable of sinning. For his seed, that is God’s seed, remaineth in the believer, and he cannot sin. That last raise is very clear. He cannot sin because he is born a gun. So I have a new nature that is not capable of sinning. At the same time I have an old nature that desires the sin. The Bible talks about the conflict between the two and even Paul the Apostle, 25 to 30 years after he has saved, describes this conflict between his old nature and the new one.
I am going to turn to Romans 7 where Paul talks about this struggle where the believer has to make a choice as to which nature he will allow to control his life. He says in verse 18 of Romans 7, I know that in me that is in my flesh, that is the flesh nature, dwelleth no good thing.” Wow, so here he is saved almost 30 years, and he says, I know that in me that is in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing.
For the will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I find not. Look at this verse now in verse 19 of Romans 7 where Paul says, the good that I would, I do not, but the evil that I would not, that I do. And then he explains there’s a warfare going on between the flesh and this new inward man, the new nature, and he says in verse 22, I delight in the law of God after the inward man.
But he says in verse 23, I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. So he talks about a flesh nature and he talks about a new nature, the inward man and they are in conflict and one wants to do good, one wants to do evil, the Christians struggle who it is and that’s what he’s talking about there in first time.
So I hope that helps and answers your question for you Benjamin and we appreciate that call. We are going to take now Brad in Clearwater Florida. Brad you’re on the air. Good morning Pastor Lindstrom. I have a question for you. God was Judas Iscariot and that one people on the coast of their actions but because of they did not from Adam. I will hang out and listen to your response on radio. The bottom line is that none of them believed on God’s final salvation through Christ.
Cain rejected the lamb, Abel brought a lamb, a picture of Christ who would be slain and bloodshed to pay for sin. And by that he demonstrated, according to Hebrews 11 and 4, that he was already saved, but he was giving a picture by Alfred Nuts’ sacrifice of the Savior that he had trusted in. And we find, of course, Judas. John 664 never believed him because of his unbelief, his rejection of Christ as Savior was never saved. Judas was a disciple which is scary that you can be a disciple and not be a believer and you can be lost.
So there are many who are attempting to be saved by their works and their discipleship, but yet have never trusted Christ as their only means of reaching heaven. So, Judas was lost on that basis. And throughout the Bible, those that are lost, every one of them are lost because of unbelief, not because of the sins that they committed. Jesus said in John 3, 18, he the belief that not is condemned already because he hath not believed, not because of any sins that he’s committed, but because of the sin of unbelief, because Christ died to pay for every sin you’d ever commit in your whole lifetime.
So when you reject the provision Christ is made, that’s the unpardonable sin. Anyway we’re getting very close to the break and I want to again remind you this is the day you need to let me know about Israel. Call my secretary or our office and they’ll put you through to me. I want to talk to you. We’d love to have you get on board with us. March 12th as the departure. You really have to just have a passport which is easy to do.

We’re going to fly away to Israel and walk where Christ walked. It’s going to be exciting. I’ll be the right with you. We’ll be studying the Bible on location throughout the day. It’ll be just a fantastic time. Again, I want to thank all of you who pray for and support Bible and your gifts are indispensable We could not have this program without you.
That’s the truth. I’ll tell you it’s impossible for us to have this program Unless you are part of it. So consider giving a gift to Bibleline and keeping us on the year and We hope that you will Do that and you can do it by credit card over the phone or you can call our operators And they’ll be glad to send you number with our address printed on our or recite the address slowly So you can copy it down and just mail a gift through Bibleline.
It’s just our lifeline. You are the ones who keep the program going. And again, of course, if you’re not saved, definitely we want you to come to know Christ as Savior. We have a wonderful CD that if you’re curious about how to be saved and you’re not saved, then this CD will just really make it so simple called how permanent is your I had a young man last prayer meeting come up to me after the service and he said I want to know how to be saved I walked him down the hall and in five minutes.
He wouldn’t save he trusted Christ and Savior and it’s exciting to be able to Lead people to Christ so this will teach you how to lead someone to Christ or it will lead you to Christ if you Would listen to this CD and if you have somebody you’re trying to evangelize you definitely ought to order We’re gonna go back to the stations that have been on break into the second half of my blinds So don’t go away, keep your radio down to right where it is or go to the internet.
and catch the full program there. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and we’re in the second half of Bible, in the second half hour. Great to be with you. Great to be with you. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios at the Calvary Community Church. We’re on the pastor and again we look forward to being with you every day.
This is Monday and tune us in every day. We’re on in the Tampa Bay area, seven days a week. In other areas they play us at different times of day. In Nashville they play us for free in the middle of the night from one to two in the morning. So if you don’t focus on that way, tell them to set their alarm and get up at the middle of the night and listen to us then. So we’re on all different kinds of times and we hope that you will pass the word along to your friends to tune in to Bible.
And if you go to my website you’ll see all the different places where we’re on the air and the times of those broadcasts which I hope are current and will keep you up to date on that. But in many cases we are just glad that you’re listening today. Thank you, thank you, thank you and thank you for being a part of us today. And if you’d like to put us on your prayer list we would appreciate that. We certainly covet the prayers of Christians knowing that God hears and answers the prayers of believers.
We want you to put us on your prayer list. Pray for us daily. Some tell me that they pray every day for Bible and pray for me personally and I sure appreciate that. That really means a lot to me because I believe in prayer and I believe God answers prayer and I certainly want as many Christians praying for me as I possibly can get in. I think a lot of what happens is really through the prayer that God’s people bring up to the Lord.
Would you pray for us? Also would you consider giving a gift to Bible and we really don’t have the finances to be able to do what we’re doing. And so we rely upon our audience to be able to do that. We don’t have any subscribers. We don’t have any pledges. We don’t have a piggy bank. We don’t have a reserve account. I don’t get paid to be on the radio. We really are probably very efficient with the money that comes in here because we’re able to spend almost all of it directly on airtime.
And of course we have equipment costs and phone bills and satellite time and all kinds of other things. But otherwise the overhead is much slower because we have no salaries. Isn’t that great? So you can know that if you invest in Bibleing that you’re getting the most value for your money as far as the outreach. We reach people every day. I got a wonderful fact the other day from a fellow that said he was 41 years old, been raised in church all of his life and just got saved two weeks ago through Bible and I heard a fellow yesterday tell me he started off in church at five years old and went to many different churches was very active in his churches and at 76 he got saved through Bible and.
Can you imagine all those years between five years old and 76 going to all kinds of churches actively involved and had positions in those churches and wasn’t saved? That’s called malpractice. How can churches fail their people by not leading them to this wonderful simple message that all you have to do is come and drink of the water of life which is offered free. Whosoever, believeth in Christ, should not perish but have everlasting life. Well, I know what it was like, at least partly, because I was 18 years old when I got saved, and I never heard how to be saved in the church I was raised in.
And I thought at that point, that was a long time to be in church, to be active. And I was active in the church. I was the youth leader. I’d gone through confirmation. It was baptized and all kinds of things, but never saved. And neither were my parents and my brothers and sisters. We were all lost in a church where I think everybody was lost. Boy, the blind were leading the blind. And so Bible is all about getting this message out so that people can understand this wonderful message, the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ, the message of His death, burial and resurrection.
I hope you’ve trusted Christ. But if you are a believer, could you help us reach others with this wonderful message? In a sense, we’ll be your mouth. And if you could be the financial support, we would partner together, which is what we do, and you will help us be able to get this message out further and further into all the world. Our television programs are aired in Mongolia. It’s not amazing. We have one radio station in Honduras. It’s airing our programs down there from the island of Rotan.
80,000 people live on that island. And it reaches all over the whole country of Honduras. Pray for Bibleline and consider, if you would, praying for us and also giving a regular financial gift to Bibleline to keep us on the air. Well we have a number of people waiting to get on the air and we’re gonna go right to first of all Craig in Richmond, Virginia and Craig welcome the Bible and you are on You’re on there. My question for you is there a biblical reference that states that everyone will be given the opportunity sometime in their life to either accept Jesus or deny him. This came out of a conversation with my brother last night who said that he was struggling with the fact that a loving God that we have would people some people would be excluded from heaven because they’ve never heard the good news of Jesus.
And I will uh, I’ll ask that for you in the… thank you Craig you know the answer really is not necessarily that they would hear it, but the Holy Spirit is convicting every man of his need and God implants in every person, the knowledge that exists. In Romans 1, 19, it says that which may be known of God is made known in them, for God hath showed it unto them. In other words, there is no such thing as the born atheist.
You have to be taught atheism. But verse 20 then goes on to say, Because the invisible things of him are clearly seen being understood by those things that he has made even as eternal power in God hits so that they are without excuse. No one is going to have an excuse. Now here’s the key. The Bible promises anybody who seeks or wants to know the true living God will find him. Jeremiah 29, 13, one of many, but that’s my favorite.
It says, and you shall seek me and find me. Then you shall search for me with all your heart. I remember his little boy playing hide and seek. In that case you tried not to be found, but God said, if you seek me, you’re going to find me. I’m not hiding. And I’ll get the message to you. And he promises to get the message to you before you die. And so there are some wonderful passages, but I would read Romans 1, 19, and 20 in particular.
I would read Jeremiah 29, 13. In the book of Acts you have wonderful examples of people that were seeking that found. In Acts chapter 10 you have a Roman soldier, probably born and raised in Italy. He’s on foreign duty in Israel, keeping the peace there for the Roman government. He’s seeking God sends Peter to him and he gets saved. There’s example after example. In Acts chapter 8 you have the man from Africa, the Ethiopian. He’s seeking and Philip is led over to him and leads him to Christ.
Then the Bible is full of examples of seeking people, finding the truth and that’s how God works. Thank you Craig in Richmond, Virginia. I hope that helps get you on your way. We have an article I’ve written called What About the Heathen? It’s on my website you can download it and or you can call in and I’ll mail it to you free of charge. We have Pastor Jim in Oldsmar, Florida and Pastor Jim. Welcome to the Bible and you’re on the moon.
You have to turn your radio down because I hear the radio program. All right, all right, Jim, you’re on there. I’ve been preaching for 35 years and my question is, in my studies on seven day events, my question is, is there’s work salvation by works or salvation by grace? From what I’ve studied, it seems to be works. Well, I would wholly agree with you what they will say. They talk at a, with a fork in time because they talk about grace.
But you know, LNGY and the seven Adventists believe in this investigative judgment supposedly that in 18 whatever it was, Christ didn’t come back to the earth. They had sent a date for him to come back to the earth. But they said the date was right, but the event was wrong. And they invented this investigative judgment where Christ supposedly is in the holy of holies and he’s weighing your works and my works in the balances to see whether we’re worthy of grace.
So in other words, basically you say by grace, but you have to work to get the grace and And it’s all by works. You have to keep the staff and the commandments. And basically you can lose your salvation. Of course, they deny hell. They believe in soul sleep. They have so many doctrines that are wrong. I don’t think they’ll ever recover themselves from it unless they burn all the books by the ones you white and get free of that and just read the Bible.
And we’ll be probably supporting you and God bless you and thank you for your time. Thank you Pastor Jim and Oldsmar isn’t that wonderful? We know we have a lot of pastors that listen and many come by and get some of our tracks and resources that are helpful and God bless you. We’ll be praying for you Pastor Jim and Oldsmar. We have Chris in plant city Florida and plant city is right now I guess harvesting all those strawberries. Taking my call.
You’re welcome. Quick question. This is something that baffles me. When someone approaches Jesus and calls him good, Jesus kind of deflects the question saying why do you call me good. good uh… there’s no good you know none good but but god and i was wondering if she does you know because he does but we need to know i’m the client and the father or one and if he used to be with the family’s life why would he deflect when somebody called him good uh…
why would why would he do that and i’m just gonna hang up and listen to your answer all right i think it’s two-fold i think first of all he’s pointing out that we’re all sinners there’s no good but one that’s God. Secondly, that he is God. And Jesus is that sinless man at the same time being God who came and took on human flesh. So he is the God man. So I think he’s doing a twofold thing. I didn’t realize until the night I got saved.
I had never heard that Jesus was God. I also didn’t know that everybody had sinned. I knew that I was a sinner and I was I was in a teenage Bible study at 18 and about 50 teenagers or more were all gathered together. Most of them carried Bibles and I was just really out of place. I felt, what am I doing here and why am I here? The leader of the study said, how many here have never told a lie in your life would you raise your hand?
Well, I sat on my hand because I knew I couldn’t raise my hand to that question. But I looked around the room expecting hands would go up all over the place. Why? These were the Bible carrying religious teens. And I said, boy, there’s going to be hands everywhere. There’s got a goody-goody’s in this group and they’re going to raise their hand. Nobody raised their hand. That was the big shot to me. And then of course I saw the verse in the Bible that all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God.
And it was like the light was coming on for me. I said, wow, you know, the Bible says all have sinned and sure enough, Here we have even in this group, which is the Bible carrying good group supposedly, where I thought the room was full of good goodies. That’s what I call them back in those days as a team. And here they were all unable to raise their hand when asked the question, have you ever told a lie? And nobody could confess that they had not.
And so that’s the way it is, Chris. I think that’s an essential area to begin with when you’re you’re leading some of the Christ. They have to realize that their sinners and to be able to enter heaven, you have to be as good as God. And Jesus is God. And when you trust in His substitutionary death, there are two things that go on. His blood pays for your sin. And then His righteousness is credited to your account. I love that hymn.
My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. It’s twofold. If you think about those words, that hymn writer had it right. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood. That’s where he paid for your sin and washed our sins at the cross. And then his righteousness, the second part where his righteousness is then transferred to the account of the believer and the believer is seen as righteous when they trust Christ. Maybe you don’t think about the words of the hymns you sing, but that’s a beautiful one that hymn writer had it right.
My hope is built on nothing that is too fold, Jesus’ blood and His righteousness. So His blood took away our sin, but then that is not enough. You have to have His righteousness in your heaven. And once you trust Christ, His blood takes away your sin and your account is credited with His righteousness. Thank you for calling in Chris and I hope that helps answer the question somewhat. We are going to go to some of our fairs right now, but the phone number if you want to call is 1-800-576-3771.
Again, this is the day you have to talk to me about Israel. It is the final day I’ve been told by the travel company that we’ve got to get this settle today. So you can still go. That’s right. Call me today and I’ll have them catch you right through to me and I’ll be glad to answer any questions you might have. But there’s just three things involved. Get a passport which you can do, not too hard to get that.
And then secondly, pay the fee $2,600 round trip from whatever departure city you’re leaving from anywhere in the US. And in 3rd of Pack your suitcase. It’s that simple. It’s that simple and we’ll be going together for 12 wonderful days exploring Israel and studying the Bible all day long. It Arpaio Bible College. I’ll tell you I’ve been 13 times as we trip number 14. I’d love to have you on board. March 12th decide today. You’ve got to make a decision today.
Call me. And after the program my operators will make sure you get right through to me. We want to talk about a question here from Kim in West Jefferson, Ohio. calls in and leaves this question off the Internet offline and he says, would Jacob bless Ephraim and Manassas in Genesis 48? Was this referring to the nations of America in England? And the answer is no. That is, of course, the line of Joseph. He had two sons, Ephraim and Manassas, and they got a double blessing because of Joseph, but it has nothing to do with America and England.
Thank you, Tim, for that question. I hope that is satisfactory, but certainly it has nothing to do with us today. My brother wants to know, what point does a fetus embryo maybe receive a soul or spirit? Is it a conception or birth? And I believe the answer is conception. And Jesus obviously was the God-man from conception. I think that’s very clear in the scripture and then numerous other verses also John the Baptist is the same way. In fact John the Baptist apparently jumped around in a womb when Mary came carrying the the baby Jesus in her womb, that’s very interesting, apparently, acknowledgement of who Christ was there even before either one were born.
Mr. Anonymous calls in and I have no idea what city this call is coming in from but they leave an offer a question. I really have to disagree that children will be not caught up in the rapture because I doubt loving God would take their parents and leave the children to non-believers here on the earth. Well, you know, there is no verse that proves it either way, and I hope you’re right. How does that make you feel? I really do.
I hope you’re right, but I don’t believe so, and I try to be honest, but it’s my opinion because there is no verse that can say definitively, this is the way it’s going to be. So I try to be honest, sometimes I get stung for being honest and being straight forward with people. I tell you what I really believe, I don’t hedge on it, the popular answer would be to tell you as some evangelist do that even your pets are going to be raptured.
Oh, it would be fairly those pets behind when the owners are believers and they’re caught up in the rapture. I don’t believe that and I think that’s just caving into what people want to hear. I don’t do that. And thank you for your call and I try to do my very best to give you a straight answer whether people like the answer or they don’t like the answer. I believe you have to be true to the Bible as best we can.
But I have to tell you, this is my opinion. I cannot prove my position. And if you can prove your position, give me the Scriptures and I will on the air apologize for saying the other side of this point here. Thank you, Mr. Anonymous, wherever you are. back to me. Alright, we have John in Grand Blunt, Michigan. Is that Michigan or Minnesota? Michigan or anything? Why is there so much disagreement in the church about the Rapture? We are members of the Lutheran Church, the Missouri Synod, and they seem to not agree with theRogueWAYSraughtFalisSpecial,…
on? The problem is,ilialConsidering-? is that they are going backward in their theology. Reform to theology or reformation theology goes back to the teachings of people several hundreds of years ago. We’ve made a lot of advances in learning in God’s Word as we approach the Lord’s return. And so I believe why go backward, cheaters, creepers? I don’t want to go return back to the doctrines of the church I was raised in, but most of the churches of the Reformation came out accepting the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church that God was done with Israel and that the church has replaced Israel.
So obviously they don’t believe in a Rapture. In fact many of them believe in Pentarism which says that Christ has already returned. He returned in 8070 and all was powered and all was born but nobody saw him of course and this is the craziness that is out there. So basically almost every Reformation church. He picked up the baggage from the Roman Catholic Church at the time of the Reformation and carried it down to this present. Some, of course, have realized that a lot of those doctrines are wrong.
For example, infant baptism. There’s no such thing in the Bible as infant baptism. And look at how many Reformation churches are sprinkling their babies. That’s this absolutely wrong. There can be no support from that found anywhere in the Bible, old in the Testament. And yet infant baptism was one of those doctrines, the doctrine of no rapture and the fact that God has done with Israel and that we’re in the Kingdom now, all that bad teaching of predarism and so on, all came out of the Reformation.
So if you are believing any type of Reformation theology or Reformed theology is what it’s called, you’re going backward in my estimation. You need to move forward and go to the Word and see what it says. And the Bible is very clear that there is a rapture, Christ comes back. All right, we have anonymous. Did Jesus turn the wedding of Kina into wine or grape juice? And the answer is He turned it into wine. And it says, is there proof?
And apparently the testimony of the people there said, why did the owner leave the best wine till last? last. So they already been drinking wine and now this wine was superior to what they had been drinking before and so absolutely. The Bible doesn’t forbid wine. The Bible forbids drunkenness. In Ephesians 5 18 it says, be not drunk with wine wherein is excess. So I don’t drink anything though because I don’t want people to think, you know, especially in America.
If you drink anything people assume you get drunk. Well I don’t smoke and I don’t drink and all those kind of things. I just don’t do it and never have really. I’m a thank God that I was raising a home where they didn’t drink or smoke and I never got hooked into that stuff and I’m so glad that I never did. But the Bible doesn’t actually forbid drinking but I don’t drink at all. But it does forbid getting drunk.
So you need to recognize the difference. And in Europe, in many places, they drink a very mild wine which basically if you have bad water and that’s a problem around the world today, it does prevent you from getting those little and whatever they are to get in your stomach and mess you all up what they call in the Middle East Pharaoh’s Revenge. Alright, we have Dr. Anonymous. Dr. Anonymous from Date City on the line and welcome to by one.
Alright, I don’t know what I’d do without hearing your voice at least once a week or more. How am I bloody doing? I’m doing good today. I’m doing good. I’m doing good. I’m sorry I couldn’t get to you. Well, that would be great. Young coming person and that would be like to meet you face to face. Of course, you know what would happen. Your identity would be revealed and you’d no longer be Dr. Alarmis. I’d know who you were if you came by.
I think you like this. When God called you, it’s like some call, some said, God bless you and have a great day. All right. Dr. Anonymous. I’m not too sure what the message was there, but certainly I believe the scriptures and the scriptures tell us that when we believe or trust on the Lord Jesus Christ, his death throne resurrection, we become saved. When you call upon his name, the name Jesus, which is from the Hebrew Yeshua, God who would save you, God in flesh.
I’m going to be talking about Israel. I want you to go. March 12th, we’ll depart three things you need to pay. You need to pay the $2600 trip from wherever you depart from.
