Bibleline Radio Show – 2007-03-29 – Peace on Earth

The Bible does teach that every person can have PEACE WITH GOD if he places his faith (trust) in Jesus Christ as Savior. “Therefore being justified by faith we HAVE PEACE WITH GOD through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).” Jesus Christ, by dying on the cross and paying for our sins, purchased our salvation (PEACE WITH GOD), which He offers to whosoever BELIEVETH ON HIM. Why not trust Christ as your personal Savior. You will never find PEACE apart from Jesus Christ. Trust Jesus Christ to forgive your sin and give you eternal life.

Welcome to Bibleline with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Coming to you from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida, declaring God’s love through radio and television, providing real answers to an ever-searching world. Got a question? Dial toll-free at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline it’s great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day. Monday through Friday as we come to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor.

Thanks for tuning in today and we hope that you’ll tell your friends about the broadcast and also check out our internet website where we have the program streaming right now live and also it will go into archive and you can listen to it at your leisure at your pleasure anytime you would like to and that’s wonderful that we’re able to do that and we have people all over the world who are listening. We just returned from Israel and we found that we met a number of people from Nigeria that listened to Bibleline on a regular basis.

What a thrill that was. We had a Bible study in our hotel every evening and I invited a bunch of Nigerians and I had met out in our touring in Israel and they came to the study about 30 or 40 of them and one of them stood up and said I listen to the Bibleline every day. Two days later we met another group with four or five pastors from Nigeria in their group and they recognized me and came over and mentioned that they watched and listened to the Bibleline in Nigeria.

And they’re from upper Nigeria and the other was from the son of Nigeria. I guess we’re border to border or coast to coast in Nigeria with listeners to Bible and in other parts of the world. What are the chances of that meeting? I think almost zero. But certainly the Lord did that to encourage us as we are planning to go on shortwave in Africa. And I believe that God is obviously opening up those doors for Bible and we’re excited about what God is doing.

We think that time is running out. Jesus is coming back and I think very, very soon. And obviously one of the most significant doctrines of the Bible is the second coming of Jesus Christ. We just finished a series here of 10 hours of teaching called Jesus is coming on CD and also on DVD. You can order that through our resource center here. By The way our phone number is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. And you can call and get a resource sheet sent out to you.

And you can also go on our website and go to our online bookstore, where we have a lot of our resources available there for you. And we have some wonderful books that are really able to help you in your growth and in your studies and in your evangelism because one of the most exciting things today is that I think the world is really ripe for evangelism and you can be a real tool of God in bringing the gospel to those that are lost.

You know, we’re commissioned by Christ. The Great Commission is to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature and how true that is more than ever today that people need to hear about the wonderful message of the gospel that a person is saved when they simply trust Jesus Christ as the one who died on the cross of Calvary and by his death in shed blood paid their sin debt and full and was buried and rose again from the dead.

When you trust Christ, you’re saved eternally from that very moment and there’s nothing more important than that you would trust Christ. This coming weekend begins the crucifixion week. This is a Palm Sunday. This Sunday, April 1st, we invite you to come see us if you’re in the area. If you’re not, you can watch our worship service on the internet. If you can’t catch it live on Sunday morning, you can go into the archive next week and watch the Sermono bring this Sunday.

But what an exciting event this is. This marks the beginning. We, when we were in Israel just last week. We walk down the slopes of the Mount of Olives on the ancient road that came across there that Christ himself walked on. And this is where the crowds cried Hosanna to the son of David and proclaimed him as the Messiah, the son of David. And he enters into the temple and is rejected by the leadership of Israel and it marks the beginning of Christ being the designated lamb, the lamb that would be slain.

The Lamb that would die to pay for the sins of the world. And what an exciting event for all of us in our group is we got to experience that. As we walked right down that very same road and experienced the setting where this all happened 2,000 years ago. We’re going to be talking about it this Sunday. We’d love to have you tell them, Paul and Sonny will have the word supper at 945. It ends at 10.15. and at 10.30 we have our morning worship.

Come on by if you’re in driving distance. Then next Wednesday, we call it Good Wednesday. We’ll have a service here in the evening. We invite you to come at seven for the Good Wednesday service. Then on Saturday we’re having a sundown service as we believe Christ rose from the dead at sundown, 72 hours after he’s placed in the grave. Right at the beginning of the first day of the week, which begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday when the Sabbath ends and the first day begins.

And then of course Sunday the 8th of April will have our resurrection services on Sunday and we invite you to come and join us for that. Or again on the internet you can join us for those services. So the most holy week in all of Christianity is about to unfold here for us this coming weekend. I hope you will join us either by internet or in person, if you can. And of course, we thank you for tuning in to the radio show today.

But this is a great week. I’m looking forward to it. And it’s a great time to evangelize, a great time to bring people out to church. And hopefully you’re in a church where the gospel will be presented. when your friend comes that they will hear about Jesus and come to know Him as their Savior. We’re going to talk about the Bible for a few minutes and then we’ll take our questions on here and offer. You can call the number and leave an offer question or you can call and actually get up on the air with us and we want to welcome our listeners wherever you might be listening, whether it be on the internet, anywhere in the world, 147 countries have logged on or on broadcast stations everywhere from New York to Florida and all across the eastern part, at least the United States, we are broadcasting this program and we welcome all of you that

are listening as we speak. We’re going to talk a little bit about the scripture, so if you have your Bible handy, you might want to get it out. But you know, there’s nothing more important than the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift received by faith in Christ alone One of the doctrines that is so important is of course the second coming of Christ one verse in every three in the Bible Is in some way connected to the second coming of Christ a major doctrine Everywhere you look the Bible teaches that Christ is coming again old testament and New Testament It is very plain.

The first promise is very clear in Genesis 3.15 that Christ will come twice. The first time to die and shed his blood in order to pay for our sins and the second time to come in his glory and defeat Satan and set up his earthly kingdom here on this earth. And that kingdom is yet to come. The Lord’s Prayer says, Our Father, which art in heaven, how would be thy name by Kingdom come. There is going to be an earthly kingdom when the earth will be delivered from the curse, Romans 8.

Revelation 26 times tells us the length of that kingdom as being a thousand years. Christ will come back and literally rule from Jerusalem, the Bible says. Malachi tells us he’ll come suddenly to his temple. There is no temple right now, so therefore obviously that temple has to be built for Christ to return. Literally, if you believe the Old Testament Scriptures and you are getting the maximum out of your Bible, then you need to read especially the major minor prophets where it talks about in the latter days that Christ will set up his kingdom and he will rebuke the nations and he will learn war no more.

Obviously, we haven’t come to that stage yet because there’s wars right now going on everywhere in the world and the threat of war and the rumors of war are increasing every day. And yet the Bible says there will be a time when there will be peace. Nations will not learn war anymore. And even the animal kingdom will be different. In Isaiah 11 it tells us that the lion will eat straw like the ox. It’s amazing today. How many people believe that we are already in the Kingdom?

This bad teaching came with Augustine way back in the 5th century and has been the main belief of the Roman Catholic Church down to this very present hour that God is through with Israel and that he has no future plans for Israel and that the Church has replaced Israel. It’s called replacement theology where the church has replaced Israel that we’re already in the kingdom You know when I meet these folks that tell me that I like to say well, let’s go out to The zoo at Bush Gardens perhaps that’s close here in Tampa and I say to them.

Let’s Give it the test I’ll bring straw you bring your arm Let’s go to the Lion cage. You thrust your arm into the cage. I’ll thrust straw into the cage. And if we’re in the kingdom, the lion will come over and go for the straw. But if we’re not in the kingdom, then he’ll go for your arm. And you know, I’ve had no takers. Nobody wants to try that. It’s amazing. They are in an illusion, a dreamland, thinking we’re in the kingdom now, when the kingdom is yet to come.

and it tells me in my Bible in Isaiah chapter 11 verse 7 the lion shall eat straw like the ox. Verse 9 says they shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord. That hasn’t happened yet and it also talks here about the earth being at peace and the curse being delivered from the earth. the earth. Israel is going to be the head nation on the earth.

There’s no doubt about it. And the Bible tells us that Christ will be king over them. In fact, he was crucified because he had claimed to be a king. That was the crime that the Jewish leadership presented to Pilate and said he claims that he’s a king. And we have no king but Caesar. And obviously, They had a seizure but they wanted Christ killed. That was the, you know, when they crucified people, they put a sign above the cross that would tell the crime for which they were being crucified.

And Jesus had a sign above Christ that said, Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews. That was His crime, that He had said He was a king. And they rejected their king and He was crucified. But at the second coming, Christ will come back in all of His power and all of His glory and rule and reign on this earth for a thousand years. And that is very, very soon, I believe, the world stage is right now being set.

The very fact that the Jewish people have come back to their land in 1948 tells us that we’re getting close to these events. For those that try to say that Israel is done for, by the way, not only Roman Catholic Church holds that position. But many Protestant churches that came out of the Reformation have adopted that same teaching and say that we are in the Kingdom that Christ has already returned in AD 70. Of course, nobody saw it, but supposedly he has already come and we are in the Kingdom now and that God is through with Israel.

That is certainly not Let me read to you from Jeremiah 31, where it says here in verse 35, Thus saith the Lord to give the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divided the sea when the waves are of roar. The Lord of Host is His name. Verse 36 of Jeremiah 31, If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, Then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.

Did the sun come up this morning? Yes it did. Could you see stars last night? I did. And the moon, yes indeed. Well, obviously then God is not through with Israel. The Bible makes it very clear that as long as the sun comes up in the morning and you can see the moon and the stars at night, that God is not through with the nation of Israel. promises are going to be fulfilled and while we just came back from Israel and what excitement there is to get their temple built.

We saw a manora made out of one solid piece of gold, apparently a very rich wealthy person donated all this gold. They wouldn’t tell us how much it was worth in money. Maybe they don’t want people to try to steal it. But it’s a beautiful piece of art. A manora made out of gold huge and ready to place in the third temple when it’s rebuilt. I think we’re so close to the Lord’s return that we don’t probably have many years left if we do have that at all.

First, Christ is going to come at the Rapture and snatch us out and we’ll meet the Lord in the air. And then seven years later Christ will come back as King and rule over the earth and there’ll be peace on earth. Good will toward men. If you read your Old Testament, it is absolutely loaded with scriptures concerning the return of Christ. outlines the plan exactly how it will take place and we see the world players stepping up on the stage right now even as we speak.

What is fascinating is that some of the wars of this past century have actually laid the stage for what is going to happen. In other words, if you were around prior to World War I in the Middle East, you wouldn’t have all of the many different countries that you see there today because there was just one great big Turkish Empire. But World War I broke up the Ottoman Empire and so all of a sudden countries began to pop up on the world stage.

Saudi Arabia was begun in 1927 Iraq 1932 Syria 1941 Lebanon 1946 Israel 1948 Egypt 1922 these are all after World War I Jordan 1927 Turkey 1923 Iran 1906 Libya 1951 Ethiopia 1930 interesting these countries have just kind of popped up on the world stage whereas prior to World War I you didn’t see them existing at all. Isn’t that amazing? And obviously the other major powers coming up on the world stage just like the Bible has predicted, we are watching.

I believe the events that will lead up to the return of Jesus Christ and I think we’re close. I hope you are a believer because if you are not, you will be left behind for the darkest hours of human history. Jeremiah 30 calls it the time called Jacob’s Trouble. Israel, unsaved, called by Jacob because that was his name before he got saved and it’s gone and has changed his name to Israel. Jacob will go through a great field of trouble, but yet it says he will be delivered out of it.

God will, of course, bring many to faith in Christ, and they will obviously be the subjects of the Millennium when Christ comes back as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and rules over Israel. Well, this is Bible and we’re going to go ahead and go to the phone lines in just a moment. If you want to start calling in, you can. Some have already called in and are waiting. The number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. Give us a call. It’s great to be with you today.

Thanks for tuning in to the Bible and program. We have a couple of affairs I want to try to get to. So Daniel in Utica, New York calls in and he says, who is Melchizedek? Well, Melchizedek met Abraham. You can read about it in Genesis chapter 14 after he had defeated the kings of the Sodom Valley. He went after them to rescue his nephew a lot that had been carried away with them, and of course he defeated them, and Melchizedek came, and we believe it is Jesus, a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament, one of many, many.

And in Hebrews, chapter 7 we have more enlightenment about this character called Melchizedek, and obviously it has to be talking about Christ. If you have your Bible there, you can look at Hebrews 7, and what does it say about this one called Melchizedek? Well he’s called the king of righteousness. He’s called the king of Salem, which means king of peace. This could only be Christ. It says without Father, without Mother, without the Son, neither having beginning of days nor end of life.

Sounds to me like this is God, and God of course, in flesh is Jesus. Then it says here. The Bible tells us this one is the Son of God. He is Jesus who appeared to Abraham in Genesis 14. Thank you, Daniel, and Yiddickah, New York for calling in. We thank you for listening up there and tell your friends about the program. We also have Tony in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We’re on the air every day in Pittsburgh. Tony calls in and he says, Matthew 25, 10 to 11, Matthew 7, 21 through 23, are these passages talking about believers or unbelievers?

And the answer is unbelievers. Matthew 7 is talking about those who Christ says about them, I never knew you. Not I once knew you and I lost you, which is impossible because once you become saved, you’re saved eternally and cannot be lost, but you are saved forever and ever and ever and ever. And again in Matthew 25 it says in this passage, I know you not in verse 12. And so he’s talking about unbelievers because he knows everyone that has trusted him as Savior.

The Bible says he knows those that are his in the Second Timothy. And so if you’re a believer, he knows who you are and you’re his forever. Any promises to keep you saved and you’ll never be lost. Tony, those passages are talking about unbelievers who are attempting to be saved by their works and their deeds but are unable to do so because nobody can be saved by their works or by the law, by simple faith in what Christ did for you and for me.

So thank you for that call from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and appreciate that. We have Horace in Tampa, Florida and Horace, welcome to Bibleline Year on the air. How are you doing? Good. We’re talking about the man that was going to let the pool look the best. Yeah, I was curious to know I wasn’t sure but I’m reading this and I don’t know if I’m reading it wrong if I’m reading it literal. And it’s saying like when an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and started the water, then it says then whoever stepped in first, happened to the stirring of the water was made well of whatever disease he had.

And I was told by my pastor that that was basically like a hearsay type of thing that actually takes place. So I’m kind of confused. I wasn’t shook up. I’m reading it a little and I’m trying to get it like okay like, okay, which is true or not true. Is it true that that happened or it didn’t happen? A good question. In fact, I was just there at the pool of Bethesda last week while I was in Israel in our whole group got to see how extensive these pools were.

And of course, because Christ healed this man who is impotent from birth, quite a notable miracle, healing is associated with that name, like the Bethesda Naval Hospital, a place of healing named after this pool where this man was healed. And it doesn’t say we don’t have any other kind of instance like this where angels are really healing or doing anything like that. And so it could be that your pastor is right. But apparently there was a belief going on that if you were the first one in after the water was stirred, however that would happen, that you might be healed.

And that may have been a superstitious belief. But in any case, whether it’s true or not, Jesus did heal this impotent man there in John 5 at those pools. And this man was obviously not able to get to the water and he’s complaining that others would get to the water first. And he therefore was not healed. But Christ, of course, the healer himself got himself healed this man. I hope that helps. And we’ll have to wait until we see.

There’s nothing else in the Bible that I know of where angels the heel. So I don’t know that it really happened, but people did believe it. Christ came there on an occasion and showed himself to be the healer, not the waters. It’s not the water that heals. It’s not any oils or ointments or men or angels, but Jesus himself is the one who is life and the giver of life. Then the one who can make someone whole who is not.

Thank you horse for calling in the phone number. Who Bibleline is one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one We have here Isaiah 17 Dennis from San Antonio calls in ask about the destruction of Damascus and That’s future Damascus is going to be wiped off the face of the earth Apparently, I think they’ll take a nuclear hit at Armageddon. So it’s future and it’s after or at the end of the tribulation after the rapture has taken place.

I’ve been to Damascus and I have stayed there in the hotel right downtown and nobody is going there now but I didn’t have my opportunity and I saw the street called straight. I saw where Paul got saved by Ananias at his home there and Damascus. I saw the wall and the traditional spot where they say Paul was lowered over the wall and escaped in Damascus and really enjoyed my visit there. But today not too many tourists are heading to Damascus in Syria.

But thank you for the question Dennis and San Antonio, Texas. We’re coming up at our break time and I hope you’ll keep listening to the second half hour of Bibleline. And I hope you’ll pray for us. And we would like to have you be a partner with us as we really are pleading for the souls of men. This program is reaching people. And we know people are getting saved in challenge and many are even now sharing the gospel. And some of them go into Christian work as a result, which we’re very excited about. We appreciate you listeners because you’re the lifeline that we have because we are really trying to get the message out and we believe that the times are running out and it’s a time more than ever to proclaim Christ to a world that is with out Christ will wind up in hell.

And that’s why Christ came, for God’s love the world. He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Well, In any case, we hope that you are enjoying Bible and everyday. I hope you’ll call in or write in for a resource sheet that will help you as to what we have available to help you. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right. We’re back for not breaking. This is Bibleline. I’m Dr. Lindstrom. We’re coming to you live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I am the pastor. Thank you for listening, thank you for praying for us, thank you for giving the Bibleline.

We just returned from Israel, we were there for the past two weeks and we did many of our radio shows right there from Israel. We had a wonderful time and of course we did a lot of filming too with video cameras for our television shows and we’re excited about being able to present them to you. If you are watching our shows on television, you’ll begin to see some of what we filmed in Israel coming to you on those shows.

So make sure that you don’t miss any of those. And again, if you have not given a gift to the bottom line for the month of March, we could use your help to make sure March comes out even. And you can send that gift by mail or you can give it by credit card over the phone. you in advance, all of you who pray for and give to Bible on because we certainly appreciate you and need your help without your help.

We could not be on the year. We have no other source. But God of course, who raises up people just like you, who would pray for us and partner with us to give, keep this program going. We are living in the last days, we believe, and of course Ezekiel clearly predicts the return of the Jewish people back to the state of Israel. Jeremiah also predicts that, Isaiah predicts that, and throughout the Old Testament in the Minor Prophets as well.

What we are seeing today is the direct fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies, and we are living watching it unfold before our very eyes. Now what a thrill it was for us to walk in Israel for the past two weeks and walk where Jesus walked and also to see the land blossoming and budding. Ezekiel tells us that when he would come back they would see the city’s waste and ruined and boy that is the case. And now they are blossoming and budding.

You know Jerusalem has well over 700,000 people there. When the Jewish people came back to the land, there wasn’t much of the city at all, but wow, what a beautiful modern city Jerusalem is today up in the mountains. This is the place where Jesus will return too, and we believe his coming will be soon. First for us at the Rapture, seven years later to rule and reign over the earth, and Jerusalem was going to become the world’s capital and Christ will rule over the earth from that beautiful city.

We stayed in a lovely hotel just very close to Calvary, very close to the Old City of Jerusalem. We weren’t slummy at either. This was a very lovely hotel. Wow, beautiful in every way. We ate good and we felt safe the entire trip. We’re going to go again. We’d like to include you. If you would like to give us your name and put yourself on a possible list of those that will go with us, we will include you in our thinking process and our planning and setting a date for the next trip we will go on which will certainly be within the next year and maybe even sooner.

But let us know that you are interested if you are and when you might be able to go and as we pick a date and decide where we’re going, we’ll definitely want to include you. So pray about the next Israel trip. We want to go back because we want to do some more filming and we of course are learning about remote broadcasting and we’ll do some more Bibleline from Israel the next time we go. And maybe you’ll be right there with us as we do it live.

We have David in Richmond, Virginia on the line and David, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Hey, how you doing? Yes, thank you for having me on. My question is I was with this into a guy at work and you know trying to share the lower price with him. You know, we’re talking about the Bible somewhat and he brought up the subject of dinosaurs. You know, he’s mainly in the science and stuff like that. You know, it was fine.

And we said, well, what’s the deal of a dinosaur. You know, whether or not we know where to stay anything about dinosaurs in the Bible. You know, I remember reading a book at some time that was referred to an animal and I don’t remember the name of the animal, but you know, scholars are saying that that could be possibly dinosaurs. I don’t know if that was something you know. It’s in the book of Job, and I really think it’s the elephant that’s been the traditional interpretation down through the years.

But we’ll have to wait and see on what that animal is. A lot of people are speculating about different animals that we’re not familiar with today, but we saw the coney on our trip, cute little furry thing, sitting on rocks in northern Galilee, you read about those in the Old Testament which we don’t generally hear about. But I believe the dinosaurs probably were all wiped out in the destruction of the surf that occurred in Genesis 1-2 as a result of judgment upon Satan and the angels that followed him in attempting to leave the earth which was his home to overthrow heaven.

And if you believe in NASA they say that the dinosaurs were destroyed 65 million years ago when an asteroid with a diameter of about 125 miles across struck in the area of the Yucatan peninsula. You can see that round area when you look at map and that the life was extinguished and all of the tremendous amount of debris that was cast up into the atmosphere flooded out the sunlight for millions of years and certainly that’s the description of Genesis 1-2.

The darkness was upon the face of the deep and so the earth was flooded, life was extinguished and then it probably remained that way until just about 6000 years ago when in Genesis 1 2 it says the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters and the word move there in the Hebrew means to incubate or to brood upon. So apparently the Holy Spirit warmed up the earth because with the darkness that we probably had the ice ages which are certainly part of our past history on the earth.

And then in seven days God made the earth inhabitable again and this time puts man on the planet. So I think that’s where the dinosaurs were. We are obviously driving around and especially the price of fuel today is got our attention but that’s fossil fuel. That’s the remains of those dinosaurs and other animal life that were killed and trapped under the surface of the earth and that we’re now pumping up and refining into different petroleum products including the gazigos in your car.

Alright, so the concrete sculpture would be Genesis 1-2? Yes, and if you have the Schofield Bible, it’ll lead you to a lot of other verses I think that would intimate the same thing that we’re talking about here. And I do have a couple of CDs on that you could call in an operators could send you at least the one creation CD where I go into quite a bit of detail about the dinosaurs. So this is all right under the number of operators will be happy to help you.

All righty, thank you sir, you’d be blessed. All right, that’s David in Richmond, Virginia and the Bible is an amazing book and the dinosaurs I believe were extinguished when Satan, who by the way, according to the Bible, lived here on the earth, not in heaven, wanted to go to heaven. In Jude chapter 1 it talks about the angels which kept not their first estate. Their first piece of real estate was the planet earth according to the Bible. And they left their place of habitation that God had given to them.

God cast them back down to the earth. The earth was judged. Life on the planet was extinguished and the angels were judged and are now waiting ultimately to be cast into the everlasting lake of fire which will take place after the thousand year earthly reign of Christ when he rules on this earth at his second coming. Alright we have done in Tampa for the calling in, off air leaves this question, he says, is it wrong to pray for something for yourself?

And of course no it is not. But once you and me. Dear, my 33 is a favorite verse of mine. It says, Call Him to Me, and I will answer you. I’ll show you great and mighty things which thou knowest not. What a wonderful verse, where God asked us to call upon Him. When’s the last time you called upon the Lord? Do you only call upon Him when you’re in trouble, or when you have a great need, or do you call upon Him all the time?

Jesus said in Luke 18 pray without ceasing and certainly we ought to do that. We ought to be on the line with God as you might think of it like a phone call and just never hang up. Just keep that conversation going with the Lord and certainly we can call upon him. In Petersburg, Virginia we have Edgar calling in. He says, explain 2 Peter 2 20 and 21. This is clearly talking about false teachers, false prophets. And it tells us that they turn from the Holy Commandment delivered unto them.

And that commandment is to believe on Christ. It says in 1 John 3 23 that this is his commandment that we should believe on Jesus, his Son. When we trust Christ we become saved. And they turn from that commandment and do not become saved. The Bible here describes these that are unbelievers and how that they might escape a measure of immorality or pollution here in this world by claiming to be Christians and looking like Christians and singing like Christians and attending church like Christians, but in reality they’re not because they’re trusting in their works to be saved and their false prophets and they turn from the commandment to be saved, which is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Edgar, I hope that helps. It’s definitely, if you read the chapter beginning in verse 1 of chapter 2 of 2 Peter, it starts off talking about false teachers in our world today and how they are the ones that this passage is talking about. We also have your Joyce in Charlinville, New York, and she says, 1,335 days, what does it mean? You must be reading Daniel. And it is suspected that when Christ comes back, there will be some extra days.

Actually the last three and a half years of the tribulation period would be 1,260 days, These extra days would allow for the temple to be cleansed from the desecration of the antichrist and then ready for Christ to rule and reign from. And that’s the speculation. I don’t think anybody really has a real definitive answer because of how it doesn’t tell us. But we’re kind of guessing that there is an interval of time between Christ coming back and defeating the Antichrist and his actual cleansing of that third temple and making it ready for his rule.

Ezekiel 12 tells us all spirits return to the Lord. What is the difference between the soul and the spirit and how come it doesn’t say all souls return to the Lord? The soul and the spirit are separate, but yet they’re never separate from one another. They are different from one another, perhaps is a better word, but the soul and the spirit are the non-material part of your makeup which are always together. When you die, your soul and your spirit.

So I think when one goes, the other goes, and so it doesn’t really make any difference. So I would not lose any sleep on that. It says in 2 Corinthians 5, 8, absent from the body, present with the Lord. So when you die, your body will be left here. You’ll be absent the body, but your soul and your spirit will go directly to be with the Lord in heaven. We have twin eagle up in Utica, New York, and he says, do you have a doctrine in theology to judge against the Catholics, and I’m not too sure what that question means, but basically, Roman Catholics are wonderful people, but they’re also the Eastern or Greek Catholics, and the word Catholic is used by a number of groups.

It simply means universal, but what we need to all do. He tells all of us. He says, beloved. That means you, Twinkle. And everybody else listening. It says, don’t be gullible. Don’t believe everything you hear because many false teachers are gone forth out into this world. And it tells us that we need to compare what churches and what individuals are saying against the scripture. And so it’s not really a contest between this Bible teacher and that Bible teacher. It is really what does the word of God have to say?

And if your favorite Bible teacher teaches contrary to the Bible, then they’re wrong. And if your favorite Bible teacher teaches in line with the Bible, then he’s right. So I urge you to check me out. Don’t believe anything I say. it out in the Bible to see for yourself that it is indeed the truth. We obviously have had a real blessing here lately. Job’s witness got saved through Bibleline and he said he committed the unpardonable sin and I said what is that?

He said I listened to your program and I realized that you had something to offer and he began to listen and after two and a half years he trusted Jesus as his Savior, wrote a letter of resignation to the witnesses and said, I’m out of here. Isn’t that wonderful that they got delivered through hearing the word. And he obviously checked out what I said in the scriptures and wound up recognizing that the witnesses were wrong and the Bible was right and he had been blinded for many years but now has resigned the witness movement because he got the truth.

Well, that’s wonderful and that’s really the way it ought to be. So there are many groups, especially the cults that are clearly wrong. All you have to do is check out what they say against the scripture and you can see it, anybody can see it. Ask the Lord to open your eyes to what the Bible says. So it’s not religion against religion or cult against cult. It’s not Bible teacher against Bible teacher, it’s what does God’s word say? Check it out for yourself.

I think you’ll find that the Bible is the answer. All right, we have Tom in Tampa, Florida calling in. He says, what do you think of Hank Hennigraft’s new book, The Apocalypse School? Well, I would totally disagree with that because it, again, is an argument for The book is about the fact that Christ already returned in the 80’s, 70 in all this power and all the glory, but nobody saw him. That’s based on a early writing of the book of Revelation.

They try to tell us that the book of Revelation and the things that Future, the book of Revelation They tried to talks about, were written about prior to AD 63. They believe the Antichrist was Nero and that the Second Coming happened in 8070 and that we’re in the Kingdom now. That’s totally wrong and I would totally reject that book as being a false way of interpreting the Bible. One of the great books, by the way, if you’re interested in that topic is called the End sometimes controversy, saying that the Second Coming of Christ is under attack by Thomas Ice.

Thomas and I were in a debate together with a number of Preterists, and I was just really surprised that the Preterists basically dismissed Scripture and hardly used it. I was the only one that had a worn Bible that was using scripture and they really appeal to history, they appeal to theologians to support their position. They’ll always, instead of quoting scripture, they’ll always interview and quote other theologians who agree with them and they all pat each other on the back and say, look, we’re all right, aren’t we?

Yeah, I believe you’re right, yeah, I believe you’re right. They slap each other on the back but they really don’t point to specific scriptures. Listen carefully when you hear a printer is talked. They talk a good talk but they don’t have any scripture toillard back it up so it’s not a scriptural thing. Thank you so much for calling in and let’s see here. We have more offer questions. I probably ought to finish up some of these some of these people have been waiting for several days.

Paul. In Orlando calls in, off air leaves this question. He says, what does the Bible mean when it says Jesus fulfilled the law? Well, the law is an expression that refers to the Bible, the word of God, the Old Testament. And he fulfilled it by being the one that the prophecies had spoken about. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, Isaiah 7, 14. He was the child that was born, that is God in place. I say a 9-6. He was the one in I say 53 that was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities.

The chastisement of our peace was upon him and when his stripes were healed. He’s the one in I say 53-6 that all we like sheep have gone astray. We’ve heard everyone to his own way, but the Lord has laid on him Jesus, the iniquity of us all. So that’s what it really means. He was the fulfillment of Scripture. And in Luke 24, he tells their old fools and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. And then in the next verse, he says, O not Christ have suffered these things and then to enter into his glory, talking about the two comings.

And then he begins in the scriptures and expounds to those that were listening there, the scriptures concerning himself. So Christ fulfilled the law in that he fulfilled the scriptures, the law being the term that we’d use for the Old Testament. Thank you so much for calling in Paul in Orlando. We have a mystery call, I don’t have a name for this one from Massachusetts calling in today. If children die young, are they exempt from the biblical way of going to heaven?

Faith entrusted Jesus Christ. Do they still have a sin nature? Okay, good. Several questions here and whoever you are in Massachusetts, thanks for calling in. Yes, children are born with a sin nature. We’re all born into sin. Isaiah, rather a Psalm 51 is one place where you can see that. But Christ died for everyone. That’s the saved and the lost. He died for everyone. And basically everybody’s name is in the book of life from the get-go because God intended for everybody to be saved.

Made provision for everybody to be saved. But if you die before the age of accountability because you are not capable of making the choice, your name stays in the book and you are saved. So infant children, small children before the age of accountability go to heaven when they die. And so yes, they are exempted from what is for the rest of the human race, a choice of accepting or rejecting Christ. Once you become of age of accountability, you do have to trust Christ and if you die without trusting Christ, you will go to hell.

I hope that helps. And if not, call back and go at it again if you will present that again. We have Maria in Tampa, Florida, leaving another question for us. She says, explained in 1st John 1, 12 through 13, and Romans 9, 8, that all or not God’s children. This is a new believer. Maria is apparently a new believer. Basically it says that just because you’re born on the flesh does not mean you’re a child of God. So many people might be religious.

They might attend church or might carry Bible but are not saved. To be saved, John 1 12 that you asked about says you must receive Christ and when you receive him by trusting on him as the one who died and paid for your sins by his death and shed blood that you become born again. You are born of God at that very instant. It says in John 1.12 to as many as received Christ to them God gave authority for them to become the sons of God, to them that believe on his name which were born of God.

to your born of God when you trust Christ. First John, chapter five verse one says, whosoever believeeth that Jesus Christ is the son of God, is born of God. So you become born of God, you become saved when you trust Jesus as your Savior. We’re gonna go now to a caller from Deltona, Florida. We have Alfredo. Hi, yes. Hello. Hey, you’re on here. Hi, you’re myself. Yeah, good. Yes. I’d like to ask you a question about Ask Robertson. What he believes?

Well, Pat Robertson believes in the gifts of the spirit, including tons, which I believe are seized. But he also, more importantly, believes you can lose your salvation. And so, therefore, anybody who believes that actually is believing that you have to work to get it and keep it. And so I would disagree with his doctrine. He does a lot of wonderful things. I’m sure he’s a very sincere man, but I believe his doctrine is done with the scripture. Okay. Thank you very much.

All right. So in fact, they flew down a team to interview me last year on the issue of the Azusa Street incident out in California when the Tongues movement began a hundred years ago. and their chief correspondent came down and one of the cameramen, one from Washington, D.C. and the other one from Virginia Beach, their headquarters. It’s been old day with me and I did a lot of filming, but the editors decided not to run it. They said it was going to be too damaging to their doctrinal position.

I didn’t know I was that powerful, but they never ran it. So there’s nothing we can do about that, but it is interesting that we got a chance to present the case for the Bible versus what they are teaching. And they never ran it on their show. They had promised to, but they decided to know that it was not going to help them out to run what I had to say on their show. So anyway, I’m sure Pat is an honest and sincere man, but I believe his doctrine is not in line with the Scripture.

We’re going to have to run, the time has run out. I’m Dr. Inklyn from Mrs. Bibleline, and we hope that you’re enjoying. And again, we invite you to check out me and everybody else against the Bible and see make up your mind. What does the Bible say and are you in line with it? Keep looking up. Jesus is coming. I believe the very same. You’ve been listening to Bibleline, a presentation of Bibleline Ministries of Tampa, Florida. The Lord is opening a door for us to go on shortwave in Asia and in Africa for free, which is wonderful. And we all have to pay for that. This requires more of our time. But pray for us that we can accomplish all these things and reach out. We were so thrilled that on our trip to Israel the past two weeks, we met folks from Africa that are listening right now on the Internet to Bible. And what a thrill it was.

And one of the pastors told me, he says, your program is such a help, such a benefit to us here in Nigeria, in Africa. We were just blown away because we thought, what is the chance of a meeting like this, where we come from America, where in Israel they come from Nigeria, they’re in Israel, and here we bump heads and meet each other, that I think is not my chance. I think God is obviously letting us know that he would like to see us take the gospel to Africa.

And my heart goes out to those all around the world that don’t know Christ and know what you and I know. Would you help us pray for us as we look forward to God opening great doors of opportunity to bring the gospel to these people. Gotta run. Keep looking up, Jesus is coming. We’ll be back tomorrow or we’ll be back. You’ve been listening to Bibleline, the presentation of Bibleline Ministries of Tampa, Florida.
