We’ll be teaching another class perhaps in the fall and you can take that by internet, wherever you might live, or you can actually be here in person and sit in the classroom while we teach those classes. We were excited to meet a lot of visitors from other places over the weekend, from other states and from around the state of Florida that came visiting to visit our Bible and headquarters and also to visit the worship service here at Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor.

You’re welcome to come by on a worship day and worship with us and this coming Sunday will be September 2nd, hard to believe that we’re through the summer. If you can help us as we try to close out the summer, we sure could use your help. We need your prayers and if you could give a gift to the Bible at this time, it would really be great as we close out the summer months and enter the fall.

We’re going to open our Bibles and take a look for a little bit and then we’re going to be talking to you that are live calling in. Our phone number here is if you want to copy it down, 1-800-576-3771, that is 1-800-576-3-771, It is 1-800-576-3771. Give us a call and we’ll get you up on the air or we’ll take your question off here and we hope that you will. We are going to take our Bibles now and turn over to the book of Revelation and we’re going to look at chapter 20 and we find in verse 10 of Revelation 20 that Satan ultimately We will be cast in to the eternal lake of fire.

There are those who deny hell, but denying hell does not put out the fire. You can deny it all you want, but thelished teaches that there is a real hell. Notice what it says in Revelation 20, verse 10 in the devil that the sebum was cast into the lake of fire and broom stone where the antichrist and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Well, what a statement. Well, you know that happens in the text there in Revelation 20 after the thousand year earthly reign of Christ.

That’s coming up. We could be pretty close if the rapture were to happen this year. That would mean there would be seven years of tribulation that would follow, and then Jesus would come back out of the heavens and take over the planet earth away from Satan, and for the thousand years Christ would rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There would be peace on earth, good will toward men. And of course at the end of that thousand years, Satan is then loosed for a little season.

There is one final battle, one final conflict, and then the devil it says in verse 10 here. The Bible was cast into the lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast or the Antichrist and the false prophet are, and they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. It’s amazing to me, but nearly all the cults I think deny hell. That is a standard. The Mormons don’t believe in hell. The Seventh Adventists don’t believe in hell. The Jones Witnesses don’t believe in hell.

The Christian scientists don’t believe in hell. The Unity Church does not believe in hell. and so on and so on. And they all deny these basic doctrines that the Bible makes very clear from cover to cover. The Old Testament even talks about those who die, who are unbelievers being awakened to everlasting shame and everlasting contempt. Of course the awakening is the referring to the receiving of their new bodies. As everybody who dies, if they are a believer, are immediately present with the Lord, absent from the body, present with the Lord, second Corinthians 5, 8.

Or, if they are lost, immediately present in Hades, eventually to be cast into hell after Satan and his angels are cast in. But they receive their bodies, which are spoken of as sleeping, in the grave at the time of the resurrection. So, for the saved, in fact, we get our bodies at the rapture when Christ comes back to everybody in the church age, that is, from Pentecost until the rapture, get our resurrection bodies when Christ comes back. Those that have already died are with the Lord.

He will bring their souls back with him, verse 14 of 1st Bessalonians chapter 4, verse 14. He brings with him the souls of those that have died and their new bodies rise up from the earth and are reunited with their souls. And soul and body they will be forever with the Lord. Then, of course, a thousand years later, the unsaved dead are brought up out of Hades, given their resurrection bodies, and then they’re cast into the everlasting lake of fire.

But after they have been judged and assigned a degree of punishment in hell, it’s interesting Revelation 14 tells us that those in hell will have no rest day nor night forever and ever. Kind of scary. glad I am not going to hell and certainly God does not want you to go to hell. You do not have to go to hell because Jesus died for you and if you would only trust him as your Savior you could absolutely be certain of going to heaven.

Let me read from Revelation 14. It says the lost here in verse 10 of chapter 14 of Revelation. The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God which is poured out without mixture stop the looted into the cup of his indignation, and this person that has lost will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the Holy Angels and in the presence of the Lamb. Verse 11, and the smoke of their torment ascended up forever and ever, and notice this next phrase in verse 11 of Revelation 14 and they have no rest, day nor night, who are those who worship the beast or the Antichrist and so on.

So these are the lost and they’ll be cast in the hell and they’ll have no rest. There’s no time out in hell. There’s no little air conditioned room that can go in and get some relief, but those in hell are there forever and ever and ever and ever. Unbelievable, but it’s true, and I didn’t write the Bible. I’m just quoting from it, but according to the Bible, there is a hell. And you know Christ spoke more about hell. Did he need about heaven?

Did you know that? He spoke more about hell than he did about heaven because he doesn’t want people to go there. And Jesus, of course, died so that you wouldn’t have to go there. And Christ, of course, warned people that unless they trusted him. Jesus put to the religious leaders of his time in Matthew 23 and he said in verse 33, you generation of vipers, you snakes, you serpents. He says, how can you escape the damnation of hell? And the reason why he said that was because they rejected him.

The only one who could deliver anyone from hell, Jesus Christ being the Savior, if If you reject him, how can you escape going to hell? If you die without Christ, if you die without trusting Christ as your Savior, you cannot escape the damnation of hell. This is why that’s such a good question that Christ asked. He says, you vipers, how can you? He escaped the damnation of hell. They rejected Christ. So therefore, how could they escape hell? They couldn’t because if you die without Christ, you’ll be forever lost.

Well, I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and this is Bibleline. We’re going to go to the phone lines. We have several already waiting and you can call in at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771 and we have Joe in Brandon, Florida and Joe, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Thank you, Dr.. Just a quick question. Is there any indication in the scripture where Hagar the Egyptian or Ishmael were saved? Or out on them and I just wondered if they were saved? I don’t.

I don’t have an answer to that. And maybe one of our listeners might call in with a scripture. We certainly know that they were not of the line that God was going the development of Israel from and the line that would be blessed and the inheritors of the promise. But yet everyone certainly is able to become saved. The Bible says, whosoever, wherever you look, anyone that would come to know the Lord as their Savior would be saved. But I don’t have an answer to tell you whether they were saved or not.

So maybe you are… Oh, I appreciate that anyway. I was looking myself. I just couldn’t find anything at all. I don’t have an indication either and I don’t know. Maybe somebody out there might have a verse that they might share with us. Well I appreciate it. Thank you very much. Okay. Thank you, Joe. I don’t have answers to everything because in some cases God doesn’t give us an answer so we have to just kind of wait and see when we get to heaven whether certain people make it or not.

We have now Benjamin in Clearwater, Florida. Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline You’re on there. Good morning. Dr. Hank, I hear you many times that you say the hell is empty. I know the lake of fire is empty because the antiquities is the first person going to be in the lake of fire. Can you explain to me what is the difference between hell and lake of fire please? Okay, there is really no difference at all. Hell is the eternal lake of fire.

Hades is a Greek word that refers to the hollow place in the heart of the earth which is equivalent to the Hebrew word shiel, S-H-E-O-L. And this is where all the dead went prior to Christ’s death, feral resurrection. There were two compartments there. Luke 16, Christ pulls back the curtain on the unseen world and you get to see two men who die prior to Christ’s death, feral resurrection. A rich man who’s lost and he goes to a place of flame and torment in the heart of the earth.

And the other, Lazarus a beggar dies and he’s a believer. And he goes to where Abraham and all the Old Testament saints are in a place of comfort or paradise. This is the very place where Christ told… told the dying thief that he would meet him. He said to the dying thief that believed, today thou shalt be with me in paradise. We also know that was in the heart of the earth because Jesus said in Matthew 1240 that as Jonah was three days and three nights in the fishes belly, social as Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

So we know that Christ descended into paradise in the heart of the earth, but on the third day he emptied the place out and took all those believers up to heaven and that’s exactly where they are right now. And so that call dropped and so I hope Benjamin got his answer off the radio. We now have Jeff and Jeff calls in from Tampa, Florida and Jeff, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yeah, I love your show. I just got a question for you sort of confused me.

I heard the other day I want to program those things, but basically says that Satan will be cast in the pit for a thousand years, okay, at the thousand into the thousand years that he’ll be allowed out to tempt again. Now, that didn’t mean I was taught. I was basically taught that after a thousand years that basically the people in hell would be judged. But the guy on the radio actually said that after the thousand years he was brought out the pit for judging that he would actually be allowed to tip some of the Christians again and some of the Christians would fall.

That were on the earth at the time, you know, what I’m saying? That makes sense? That’s what he was saying and that’s not the way I was taught. Well, you’re absolutely right. That guy who ever you’re listening to is wrong. What it’s saying there, he’s not tempting Christians. What happens during the millennium? During the thousand year reign is it begins with all believers. All unbelievers are slain at the Second Coming of Christ and only believers enter into the Millennial Kingdom.

But they’re still in their mortal bodies. These are people who have gotten saved during the tribulation period of the seven years that follow the rapture. And so there are still immortal bodies and they will marry and have children, their children will grow up and marry and have children and so on. population of the world will grow during that thousand years. And even though there’s ideal conditions where Christ is ruling on the earth as peace of the world. peace on earth, the word of the Lord is spread across the face of the whole earth and Christ is visibly seen and heard on the earth.

Apparently there will be millions that will not trust the Lord. That shows the wickedness of the human heart. And at the end of the millennium Satan is loosed for a short season, Revelation 20 verse 7-10 describes it, and there you find that Satan is able to attract to himself those that are not believers who would perhaps not be detected as unbelievers because Christ is completely controlling the world and there is no sin that is not immediately judged. So they behave themselves but when Satan comes on the scene he deceives them and leads a huge army against the camp of the Lord of Jerusalem and God destroys them or Christ destroys them right there in a flash.

And so they are lost and Satan at that point is cast into the League of Fire. Then all those that are lost that were deceived by him will also be cast into hell. But he’s not deceiving believers and it’s not believers falling in their salvation. Good. Have a good day. Okay, you too. Thank you. And that’s Jeff in Tampa calling in. The phone number by the way is 1-800-576-37-8. 7-1. We had a fellow call in from Nashville, Tennessee, and he wanted to know if CS Lewis was saved.

Well, I don’t keep the lambs book of life, but you know, it’s doubtful if you read his writings He believed the Bible was filled with contradictions scientific error. He believed in evolution. He believed you could lose your salvation He believed in works for salvation and As he was dying, he called for a priest to give him last rites, which obviously is to take care of last-minute sins that he didn’t get paid for before. I just can’t imagine that he was a Christian from what I read from his writings.

C.S. Lewis, I believe, was not a Christian, not a believer. We have a great book in our resource center that talks about C.S. Lewis and his writings and shows how pagan and how secular he was in his teachings. I believe a lot of people have been wooed to the contrary, but they haven’t read the facts. If you want to get that book, you’ll find it very enlightening about C.S. Lewis. Thank you for that question coming out of Nashville where we’re on twice a day up there.

We’re on between 1 and 2 in the morning even as well as during the daytime. If you have a question, by the way, call in the number here is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. And you can call in and leave a question on here or off the air. Also, if you go to my internet site, BibleLineMinistries.org or .com, you will find that if you click the spinning globe, you’ll be connected to our radio page and you’ll find that on the radio page you’ll find a place already set to go for you just to fill in your question and hit submit and we’ll get that, we’ll put that up on the air.

We have Saul in Bradenton, Florida and he wants me to explain 1 John 3 in chapter 2. John, 1 John is a book about fellowship within the family of God and he points out that we We have two natures, and in 1 John 1 8 we have the old nature spoken about where it says, if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Then in chapter 3 it talks about those that are born again cannot sin.

It seems like a contradiction, but it does in 1 John 3 9, whosoever is born of God, that not commits sin, for God’s seed remaineth in him, and he cannot sin. So we have a new nature that is not capable of sinning and we have an old nature that desires to sin. And this is the conflict that every believer has in his life. Paul describes it in Revelation, in Romans 7, in verse 18 he says, I know that is in me and is in my flesh dwelleth no good thing.

He says for the will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I find not for the good that I would that I do not, but the evil that I would not that I do. Paul is saying he had a conflict. That’s 30 years he had in his Christian life. And Saul in Bradenton, that’s what John is also discussing here and how the key to the Christian life, chapter 1 verse 7, is the walk in verse 6 and 7.

To walk in the light as Christ is in the light, then you’re going to have fellowship with the Lord and you’re going to be doing things that are pleasing to God and you’ll have God’s blessing and reward. But that old nature is ever there. certainly wants us to sin and believers don’t ever become sin free until they die and are rid of that old nature. First John 1, 8, John the Apostle says, 60 years plus after he was saved, if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Wow. Pretty fantastic, isn’t it? We thank you for that question Saul and Bradenton Ford and now we’re going to go to another offer by the way if you want to call and get on the air and this is a good time to call 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. Off air, Carol, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, calls in and she says, how accurate are the accounts of the Maccabean error before the birth of Christ? What are the possibilities of any of the Old Testament prophecies being fulfilled during this era?

Well, Carol, the Maccabean accounts are not inspired of God. They are not scripture, but they are probably fairly accurate historical accounts of the things that happened during the 400-year-plus silent time where God withdrew the prophets and between the closing of the Old Testament when the prophets were withdrawn, and then the last Old Testament prophet coming on the scene, which is John the Baptist, there was all this silence. God was not speaking because he said all he wanted to say, and he had nothing more to say until John the Baptist introduced Christ.

And then of course Christ is God who spoke in human flesh. And so then we have Christ and we have the New Testament following that. But during that time, some of the prophecies were fulfilled surely. We see Daniel’s prophecies about the world kingdoms continuing. We have the Greek Empire and then the formation of the Roman Empire. All of that was predicted by Daniel. So there are some prophecies being fulfilled during that time. And of course, a lot of prophecies were about Jesus himself and they were fulfilled in Bethlehem and the birth of Christ and of course mainly during his ministry and especially during that week of and actually the 24 hours around the time of his crucifixion.

We have Troy in the land Florida on the line and Troy, welcome to Bible in your own ear. Good morning, brother, Dr. Hank. I just want you to talk about 78-8, how did they get to it? And some of the sources they have a that fulfills what I and they make up for the live rock. They have this book as a of biblical events, and they are They are a campaign and it’s Christian and Jews who want to build the Third Temple because they believe that we are speeding up.

Okay, well, certainly we’re not going to speed up his return. Jesus Christ is going to become right on schedule, not one second early and not one second light. And by the way, your phone was breaking up there, so I’m not too sure if I get all the questions. But basically, we know that there will be a third temple built. It will be built during the tribulation period after the rapture. And the fact that there’s interest, the fact that there’s activity, the fact that stones are being cut.

I was just in Israel in March, and we saw this manor made a solid gold. It was absolutely incredible. In fact, I was surprised that there wasn’t any real guards with machine guns guarding that I think where it was pretty much visible for anyone, and it must have been worth millions and millions of dollars with all the gold that was involved in that menorah that they have ready for the third temple. So I think we’re really living in an exciting time, and I don’t know that we’re speeding things up, but I do believe that we’re racing toward…

The exact time that Christ will come. By the way, if He comes this year, He’ll probably come on the Feast of Trumpets. And the Feast of Trumpets this year is September 12th. So we only have a couple of weeks left if the Lord is coming this year. Now I didn’t say He’s coming this year, so don’t misquote me. And He may not come this year, He might come next year. He may not come next year, He might come next year, He might come the year following.

I don’t know. But I know this, we’re getting close and I’m excited. How about you? I think that with the things that are happening that we see in our headlines every day now, especially with Israel back in the land and the excitement, you know, we were in Israel. We saw even in the stores and the shops, they had models of the third temple for sale and And they said, hurry up and get yours now before the real thing is built, you know, where apparently you wouldn’t need a model anymore.

It was really quite remarkable. IFACE such hype within the city of Jerusalem and people’s interest there in the building of the Third Temple as I did this last trip. I think we’re close. I’m Dr. Englinschren. This is Bible and we’re going to have to go to break here, but we’ll come back and do a second half hour of Bible and. And I hope that you will join us for that second half hour. We’re on the internet and we’re on, of course, live in your area right at this moment.

And of course you can always call in if you have a question, if you would like to leave an outfare question, you can do that. One of the ways you can do that is go to our website and go ahead and click on the spinning globe, that’s where our radio programs are archived and where the live program can be heard. And there you can, it’s all set to go. All you have to do is type in your question, put your first name in your city and hit submit.

And we’ll get that question here on the internet real fast and we’ll try to get it up as quickly as we can. We have callers waiting and we have people that are sending in offer questions right now. This is bees right now trying to take care of all this today. And we hope that we’ll get to your question right away. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. I hope you’ve trusted Christ. And if you haven’t, you need to do that. And I hope that you will just keep your radio tune right where it is as we’re going to go to break and we’ll come right back and do a second half hour of Bible lines.

So stay tuned. They’ll go away. We’re right now going to go to that break. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. And it’s great to be with you today. Thanks again for tuning in. We appreciate you so much. God bless you. I just enjoy meeting our audience. In fact, last night I had to go into the drug store to get a few things. The pharmacist heard my voice and he listens to the Bible line and he came out. You hardly ever see a pharmacist leave that cage in area where they’re working so hard.

He came out and actually helped me find what I was looking for and chat with me a little bit and he was apologizing for imposing on my time and I said, oh my goodness, I’m the one that is imposing on your time. I know you’re at work and you’re busy and thank you for coming out and speaking to me. We’re so excited that we’re meeting people all the time that listen to Bibleline and are really enjoying the program and are learning and growing as a result.

God bless each and every one of you that listen and it’s your gifts and your prayers that keep Bibleline on the air. We are finishing up the month of August that is going to end this weekend. We have had a lean summer which is not unusual for Christian ministry but if you would help us at this time it would be greatly appreciated. Your prayers and your gifts are what keep Bibleline on the air. We thank God for every one of you.

Thank you so much for your faithfulness and one of these days when we get to heaven we will all rejoice looking back on what God has done. We have people all over the world through the internet that are finding Bible on. I get emails from India, Kenya, Africa, all over the place. We have people that are benefiting by these programs that are out there. And as we said, as we were looking at some of the stats on our webcasting and so on, we found that on On June 30th, apparently we had almost, well I think it was 29,000 something downloads of the radio program of that particular day.

I was amazed that 29,000 people would download the, I don’t know what I said in the day, I need to go back and archive myself and see what in the world I said on June 30th. But apparently that program sparked a lot of interest and 30, almost 30,000 people downloaded that radio program. Isn’t that exciting? . . . . . . Aren’t you glad to be a part of this? I believe that everyone who prays for and gives the Bibleline will share and the rewards will have one day in heaven as a result.

I hope that you will consider giving a gift to Bibleline. You can call and give one by credit card over the phone. You can also give one by mailing it. Call and ask if you would for download with our address on it. We’ll be glad to send it to you. And that’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re about ready to do the second half hour Bible end, so keep your radio tuned right where it is. Here we go. We’re going to do a second half hour of Bible end.

All right, we’re back from that break, and this is Bible end. And we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church, where I’m the pastor. We look forward to being with you each and every day. And I hope that you’re enjoying the program. And by the way, it’s Monday and we have a whole week to go and I hope you’ll be tuning us in every day. We meet so many people that tell us they try to plan their day around the Bible and radio show.

We are just flattered that it has become a real part of your life. And we thank God for all of you who pray for and give to Bible and because you make it possible. And it’s exciting. You know, I was in the pharmacy yesterday. I had to pick up something and the pharmacist recognized my voice and he came out from behind there and helped me, assisted me to find what I was looking for. And he apologized for taking up my time.

And I said, you never get a pharmacist outside of that cubicle where they’re working so hard. And here he came out and spent time with me. I was so flattered and he listens to the Bibleline. Well we find that a lot. meeting people all the time that are listening to the Bible and enjoying the Bible and are blessed by the Bible and we are excited about that. We hope that you are excited too because it is your gifts and your prayers that make this program possible.

Without your gifts the Bible and we could not be on the air. It is really a fact. We don’t have a piggy bank. We don’t have a reserve account. We don’t have any other means of support than you, our listeners and thank God for every one of you who care about and pray for and give to Bible and you could give a gift as we try to close out the summer. It’s been a slow summer which is not unusual for Christian ministry over the summer but we could use your help at this time.

If you could give a gift you could do it by credit card over the phone and just call. Our produce will be glad to assist you. You can also call an astronomical be sent with our address on it and mail a gift. You can also go to our website, BibleLineMinistries.org.com. Go to the online bookstore. There’s a place there where you can give. Somebody gave a gift this morning by way and apparently it’s in $1 increments and it’s times whatever you want to give.

So if you wanted to give $30, it would be $1 times $30. Or if you want to give $100, it would be $1 times $100. or if you wanted to give $500, it would be $1 times 500. However, you could do that by phone or you can go to the internet. It’s a secure site. You can give a gift directly there. God bless all of you who do, because you are the ones who keep Bibleline on the air. And thank you for being Bibleline supporters.

We’re now gonna go to the phone lines. We have a patient listener in Chester, Virginia, and Barbara is on the line and Barbara, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Okay. Okay. Yes. What is your question? My question is, during the thousand year reign, will the believers be married and have children? Good question and the answer is no. In Matthew 22.30, it tells us once we have died and gone to be with the Lord that we We will be as the angels of God in heaven that neither are they given in marriage.

So we will not be married, we will not be having children. But those during the millennium who have children are those that are still in their mortal bodies who have come out of the tribulation period as people that entered during that thousand year time. But no we will not. I remember teaching in Bible study one time and there were a number of couples there and I shared that wonderful truth and one lady began to sob and she looked at her husband and she said, you mean we won’t be married in heaven and he said that’s right honey.

It’s right there in the scripture by 20 to 30 but I’ll never forget what he did. He reached his big arms around his wife and hugged her and said honey don’t worry because we’re going to be the best of friends. And I thought, what a wonderful way to comfort his wife about that, because she was troubled that they wouldn’t be husband or wife. But we all be brothers and sisters in one big family with God as our father. And it’s going to be a marvelous time.

But we will be married, nor will we be having children. I thought I had understood that and then I was listening to you earlier and I thought, well, wait a minute, I didn’t remember about anybody being married and having children. So you cleared that up and enjoy your program and it’s very informative. Thank you and God bless you. Thank you, Barbara. That’s Barbara in Chester, Virginia. And it’s during the Millennial Kingdom, we’re talking about people in their more ill bodies that have gotten saved during the tribulation period after the Rapture that enter the Millennial Kingdom and they will marry and their children will be born and grow up in Mary and have children and so on.

So the world’s population will grow during that time. What is it this amazing to me with the ideal conditions of Christ ruling on the earth, Satan and his angels being bound during that time and the fact that the earth is still with the knowledge of the Lord that anyone would reject Christ is almost beyond imagination. But obviously the human heart is wicked. I like Jeremiah 17.9. It says, the human heart is desperately wicked and deceitful above all things. And certainly that will be demonstrated during the Millennial Kingdom where we have people who will not have the excuse to say that the devil made them do it.

The devil didn’t deceive them either because he will not be present until the very end he’s loosed and he’ll round up all these unsaid people. Thank you Barbara. Up in Chester, Virginia, we’re going to go to Adam in Tampa, Florida and Adam, welcome to By Blind. Good to have you on the air. Yeah, but from Acts where it says, be baptized every one of you as the name of Jesus Christ. Yeah, and you say that that is right. No, that’s not true.

It says, be baptized every one of you in the name, in the name. It’s a baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And it’s simply, if you take the word baptize, the literal rendering is to wash or cleanse. It says, be washed or cleansed in the name or in the authority that Christ gave in His name that all that would believe on Him would be saved. It’s, my illustration is this, if you have a check drawn on the Bank of Heaven and the amount of eternal life, it’s made out to whosoever believeth in Christ.

And so you could fill in your name if you believe on Christ. At the bottom of the check it’s signed Jesus Christ. You know if you have an unsigned check and you’re presented at the bank they’re not going to cash it. But if you have a bank note or a check drawn on the bank, the Bank of Heaven and the amount of eternal life and Jesus authorizes it if your name is in there that you have believed on Christ you’re going to receive eternal life you will go to heaven and it’s a gift.

So this is a cleansing of washing that occurs with the authority of Jesus Christ who died for you, authorizing you to be saved if you trust Him as your Savior. And there are other verses that use that same expression. 1 Corinthians 6, 11 says, and such were some of you, speaking of the lost, and the sins that it lists in verses 9 and 10 there. In verse 11 of 1 Corinthians 6 it says, and such were some of you, but you are washed, and it says, in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

So there’s a washing of cleansing that occurs in the name of Christ that’s not water baptism. Is that when you believe you are cleansed? You’re washed in his name. Is that when you receive the Holy Spirit? That’s exactly right also. You receive the Holy Spirit. But receiving the Holy Spirit is a consequence. The washing is the direct result of your being washed of your sin by the blood of Christ authorized by Christ’s death. And his name is lent to it to give that authorization that you as a believer are saved at the moment you believe Okay, can I ask you a follow-up question to that?

It’s actually in chapter 10 and 10 the last person in chapter 10 He commanded them to be baptized and was up again right there, but they had already received It says you know should they not be baptized with water so we but exactly and it’s a parallel process And Peter is saying that these people believed and received the gift of the Holy Spirit, and they had not yet been water baptized, and then he says, can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized with water which have already received the Holy Spirit?

So they were already saved, already received the Holy Spirit, but they had not yet been water baptized. That’s what follows salvation and is a testimony of the salvation you’ve already experienced when you trust Christ as your Savior. All right. Thank you very much. Have a birthday. All right. Thank you, Adam. And that was Adam from Tampa, Florida. We have Tyrone and he’s in Copress Cove, Texas and Tyrone. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, I heard you mentioned.

Can you give the explanation to go along with that? Absolutely. The gift of prophecy has been with Prawn. 1 Corinthians 13 8 through 10 says that whether it be prophecies, they shall fail. Whether it be in knowledge it shall pass away, whether they will be tongues they shall cease. And it talks about the Bible when it is completed, that those partial gifts would be taken away. And in that list there are three tongues, prophecy and not knowledge, and they are gone.

And they cease, they were no longer necessary. You know the gift of prophecy was not to say, you are going to meet a tall, dark, handsome stranger, or you are about to come into some money. This was really prophecies about God’s schedule, his calendar. Today we don’t need that because we have the completed New Testament, which is what would happen when these gifts would be rendered unnecessary. Today, if I want to know what’s the next of God’s program, I turn to the Word of God.

If I want to learn about the Rapture, I turn to 1 Thessalonians 4, 13 through 18. If I want to learn about the Second Coming, nearly the entire book of Revelation is about the second coming in particular chapter 19. If I want to learn about the millennium, I go to chapter 20 of Revelation, but I want to learn about eternity. I go to Revelation chapter 21 and 22 and so on. So I don’t need the gift of prophecy anymore because the gift is ceased.

Anybody today that’s claiming to be a prophet, I would back off and I would wonder about them because we don’t have any New Testament prophets right now. The gift is ceased. Now, in Corinth Indians, it talks about some seeking the gift of prophecy or seeking to prophesy, but that was of course prior to the New Testament record being completed. First, Grantians was written in around AD 54 early on. The book of Revelation written around the end of the first century, around AD 96 concluded the New Testament record and that’s when all these gifts ceased that were temporary in nature, the gift of prophecy being one of them.

And I hope that helps answer it for you. Well, it does and I’ll just, you know, inquiring about the fact that God speaks to us and by Him speaking to us, andibling to say what God has spoke to us like specifically for this day, not necessarily to send289dule times but specifically for something that might happen within a couple months, is that possible still?

wrong. No, we don’t have God speaks to us through his word. If your Bible is zipped up on the shelf, you’re not allowing God to talk to you. Okay. Thank you. And that was Tyrone out in Coperas Cove, Texas. Thank you for calling in. In the phone number, he heard Bible and 1-800-576-3771. Anne in the land, Florida calls in and she says, please explain tithing and who is Melchizedek. We read about Melchizedek in Genesis chapter 14. Abraham there went to rescue his nephew Lot from the kings of the Sodom Valley that had carried away his nephew, captive as they conquered numerous cities.

Well Abraham, I’m sure with God’s divine help, conquered these kings and after the victory, Melchizedek appears to Abraham. And Melchizedek, we believe, is a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ himself. Let me recommend you read Hebrews 7. There it says that he is without Father, without Mother, without beginning of days or end of days that he is made like unto the Son of God. It is no doubt Jesus. And we find there that prior to the law given by Mount Sinai many years later that Abraham gave a tithe of the spoils of the victory of that war to Melchizedek.

It’s a beautiful picture of giving. And certainly… It was a free will offering. It was not under the law of Moses. It was not under the law, but it was something;;;;;;;;that he chose to do without being coerced to do. It was from the heart. And he just was giving us the same way. We give simply because we want to. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 9 in verse 8 that we’re not to give because we are coerced to give.

Or we’re not to give. give because we feel obligated to give, but we’re to give hilariously or from the heart because we want to give. We’re grateful to the Lord for what He’s done for us. And so that’s the reason for giving into land Florida and I hope that helps. Melchizedek Hebrews 7 I think you’ll come to the same conclusion. It has to be Christ. And by the way, Christ did appear many times in the Old Testament. And in John 8, Jesus himself says at the end of the chapter, in verses 51 till the end, that he actually appeared to Abraham, and Abraham saw him.

Perhaps he’s referring to this very incident when Melchizedek appeared to him. Check that out. We have David, and David is in St. Petersburg, and he said, Jesus said one must be born again occupier could this be referring to himself? Absolutely not. He is talking here to Nicodemus and telling him of his need to have a spiritual birth, not physical birth. So Nicodemus had been born of water, flesh, and mother’s womb, the water and water. But now he said you must be born again.

That second birth is from above. It’s a birth of God. If you read John’s Gospel, the first chapter in verse 12, it says, as many as received Christ, to them God gave authority for them to become the sons of God, and it’s to those that believe or trust on His name. When you trust Christ, you become born again, and it’s a birth of God where you become a child of God, and it says you become a son in God’s family at that moment.

to salvation prior to being born again The Bible says you’re a child of the devil John 8 40 40, but you become a child of God you become born into God’s family when you trust Christ We have Sam and Sam is in Lakeland, Florida and Sam we want to welcome you to the Bibleline program Hello, I’d like to listen to your program. I enjoy I Want to ask you you guys the guy was talking to me The problem is not speaking about the problem, but I want to ask you this question.

When God gave you an understanding of the word in the Bible, like to play French, he used that script in the Bible. He said, work out your own salvation. And a lot of people, it’s directed at that weight. And a lot of people think that means work for your salvation. But then God gave you understanding to that, like He was saying, work out your own salvation. That means working when Jesus, you could save and through Jesus, working inside of you and you work on the outside of it.

So He gave you that understanding, but a lot of people understand that way of saying that means work for your salvation. But there’s a lot. Exactly. Well, you got it right on the head there, Sam. And you’re talking now about the doctrine of enlightenment that God sheds light or enlightens your understanding to the Word. And that’s what you’re experiencing and talking about now. But that’s not the same thing as the gift of prophecy, whereas God gives direct revelation to one who has the gift of prophecy and tells them things that they could not have known.

And of course, in biblical terms, this would be the events of the future about heaven, hell, eternity, what happens to the saved dead, the unsaved dead, and what about the crowns and rewards and the judgments and so on. That’s all been given to us through God’s Holy Spirit, through those that are those who had the gift of prophecy and are the writers of the New Testament, for that gift is ceased. But you’re talking about enlightenment, understanding what God’s already written down.

I would ask your mum more questions. At night, I have a problem, and this is me direct myself. When I talk with people about something, like you know this, they don’t something like that, I go to home and I can’t go to sleep and I wake up maybe two o’clock and I can’t get off my mind. The next morning, I guess I’ll be relating with the answer to the question of what somebody says or something. I can’t get it off my mind.

I can’t stay on there. I can’t forget it. It just keeps coming back on my mind. The answer to the person we’d be talking about tonight, the next morning I have the answer to it. It’s the answer that I feel comfortable with and satisfied with. I would just explain that. Well I think that you are going to bed and processing that whole thing. I have to happen a lot to me, I don’t know why I’m staying up all night, but I will, you know, where I’m trying to communicate to someone, I just can’t get it across and I want to be able to be clear and I want to be able to be understood.

I will go to bed on and sometimes wrestle with that in the night and come out in the morning with a good clear answer that is effective whenever I’m asked that question So that’s, again, enlightenment. It’s the processing of God’s Word. It’s what’s called back in the Psalms meditating upon God’s Word, where you chew it over and you chew it over. And as you chew it over, you get understanding and you can put it all together, where you can not only understand it for yourself, but you can pass that along to someone else.

Sam, good discussion. Thank you for calling in today. We’re now going to go to Tyrone again in Copa’s Cove, Texas. He apparently has another question. Yeah, I had a rear current thought as a potential property and there was a New Testament, a major man of God that had four daughters that did prophesy, I think it’s a nice thought with it yet, I know it didn’t take any. But what they weren’t those daughters that prophesied was four of them, were they anywhere near or false, I mean was that falsely or what about those ones that prophesied those four daughters?

Well, I’m not too sure what passage you’re referring to. You have to give me the passage. I’ll take a look at it. So, we’ve got a couple of You also have people in acts there that were unsaved casting out demons and they were exorcised until they people to come out and a couple actually educated the demons by saying that they were going to cast them out in the name of of people to come Jesus and the demons said hey Paul we know and and we know I think it was out and have a Philip and so on but we don’t know who you are and they beat the guy up and two or stripped him of his clothes and they ran out pretty much whipped by the demons so yeah there are a lot of skilo yeah right there you go and then there are

people can then practice all over kinds of things but you have to ask do they really know the Lord. Thank you for that question. We have lots of good questions today. And it’s Monday. We’ll be back again tomorrow on Tuesday. If you’re in the Tampa Bay area, you’re welcome to come by for our Tuesday night classes. We’re still in the gospel of John. I don’t know if I’ll ever finish this wonderful book. We’re having so much fun. And we’ll have two more hours tomorrow night.

And you’re welcome to come just sit and be my guest tomorrow night. Of course, it can be a seat on the internet, if you call, and inquire about getting the passcode for the class. We have some more offer questions here. Let’s see. We have Myra in Chester, Virginia. She says, how will Satan be able to tempt those at the end of the thousand year reign if they are believers? Myra, they are unbelievers. That’s what we’ve been discussing today, that there will be people being born during the millennium and they will have a nature that’s related back to Adam, a sinful nature, and apparently billions, millions of them saying will not know the Lord of Savior at the end of the millennium.

Satan will deceive those and it’s not people being lost that are saved. These are people that were never saved, but are exposed as unbelievers by Satan’s deception at the end of the millennium. So, Byron, I hope that helps. We’re not talking about Satan causing believers to lose their salvation. We’re talking about that the millennium begins with believers, but winds up having quite a large number of unbelievers around. And you say, where did they come from? They came by people having kids and your children, my children, are born in this world with a sinful nature.

and when they become of age to become accountable, they need to come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and receive the gift of everlasting life. And so if you are not careful, your own children that are born to you and your grandchildren may not be saved and they won’t just get saved naturally. Somebody has to tell them and maybe you could be the tool to lead your own family members to Christ. We have Veneta in Lakeland, Florida, and she says she attended a church of Christ this weekend and says the pastor said the church of Christ was the only church going to heaven.

Please comment. Well… The Pope just said the same thing. So what can you say? This is totally wrong. Totally nonsense. Only those who trust Christ are going to heaven. Jesus said, I am the way, not the Church of Christ. I am the way, not the Roman Catholic Church. I am the way the truth and the life. And no man cometh unto the Father but by me. So, but then you have to trust Christ. And if you have trusted Him, you will go to heaven.

Unfortunately, the Church of Christ is going to be the truth. is filled with works that you have to do to be saved, including water baptism that they teach is necessary for salvation. So I’m afraid that they’re not headed toward heaven. So he made a real erroneous statement because that’s certainly not true. The Church of Christ is dead set on being water baptized and many other works. I have one track here from a Church of Christ locally. 22 things you must do to be saved.

Totally wrong. There’s only one thing you need to do in us to trust Christ. I’m Dr. Inklyn from We’ve Had Fun Being With You Today. We look forward to being with you again tomorrow. Tuesday, we hope again if you haven’t trusted the Lord that you would just tell the Lord Lord I’m the sinner, but I trust Jesus right now. His death and shed blood is the only means of my salvation and God will save you. Stay for us. If you can send a gift to Bible on, you can do it by telephone or you can do it by mail and we hope that you will keep praying for us and support us here at Bible on because we don’t have any other means of support.

And summer is of course a lean time and we need to have some help here to get out of the summer leanness and get back on track here during the fall and we appreciate your help. You know we’re being heard in many cities across America and all of that is because of you. Thank you for being the ones who pray for and support us and thank you for being a part of us. I hope you’ll take a look at our website.

We’ve got so much there for you. Again, it’s BibleLineMinistries.org or.com. BibleLineMinistries.org.com and you can go there and click on the spinning globe for radio, on the TV, for television, for the camera, for our worship services, the online bookstore for all of our resources, and you can also find a place there to give to the Bible. I got to run. Time has run now. But keep looking up. Jesus is coming. We’re going to be back again tomorrow, Lord willing. Until then, have a wonderful day, and God bless you.

Well, I’m Dr. Englunds, and we had fun being with you today. And thanks for tuning in to the Bibleline program. We certainly appreciate all of you who listen and are part of the program. Thank God for you. And we had one couple that came all the way over and said, everybody in their church listens to Bibleline. What a nice thing to hear. And so welcome to all of you who listen to the program. Thank you for tuning in. We are glad to hear reports that we are a blessing to so many.

We know that there are those who are listening to Bibleline in Japan, in Korea, and Nigeria, and other places in the world that are learning and growing through their listening to Bible line. You who give and pray for Bibleline are actually ministering to these people. We He just had a fellow come back from Japan, a Bible and listener who has told us what he has learned on Bible and absolutely transformed the mission group that he was with. He was told when he got there that it would take three to five years to lead someone in Japan to Christ.

Well guess what? He said, I believe what you told me from the scripture that the Word of God is powerful, the gospel is simple and he just went out and started witnessing. You know he led three to Christ the first two weeks and all the other missionaries said, that’s not supposed to be possible. We were not told that you could do that and he got all of them witnessing and sharing the gospel and they got a bunch of people to Christ in Japan.

Thank God it was Bibleline that had a real influence on this young missionary who is going back again for more terms of service. It’s wonderful to see what God is doing through the Bibleline program. We sure do thank you for being a part of it by listening every day, telling your friends about the program, getting your friends to go to the website and take a look at the materials we have and the different assets and the resources that we have where you can learn and grow.

It’s wonderful. Thank you for tuning in today and maybe you can get somebody to tune in tomorrow that hasn’t heard Bible and before. Would you tell them? Would you let your missionaries know overseas how to get ahold of Bible and BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. I gotta run. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming and we look forward to being with you every day. Stay tuned to Bibleline every day when we come on the station that you’re listening on every day, wherever you might be.

God bless you, have a wonderful day and keep looking up. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom as we sign off for today, but we’ll look forward to being back with you tomorrow. See ya. Keep looking up.
