We have lots of things in our Resource Center here and if you want to get some gifts for Christmas, this might be a good place to do it.

We have things that I recommend that I think you’ll find that will be very helpful to those that you give the skill field Bible to or concordances. We have about three or four different Bible dictionaries. They’re all wonderful. The nicest one we have is by Merle Unger. It is really, really a nice piece of work. I think that’s probably the finest that we have. And that is available for you for a gift of $40. And we have, of course, and Erdmann’s Bible Dictionary, excellent Bible dictionary, and it retails for 35, but we have that one for a gift of 20, I think, at this time for Bible.

So we have some good bargains and we have a lot of different items that are operated. We’ll be glad to help you shop. Just tell them who you’re giving the gift to and what you have in mind and they’ll be able to suggest something that might be helpful. And you can also do that shopping on the internet by going to our … on my bookstore on the internet. We’re coming up on our third Sunday here at Calvary Community Church where I pastor and we’re going to have a Christmas celebration service with a wonderful Christmas dinner following.

you’re welcome to be my guest. If you’ll come, bring your Bible, your family, your appetite, and be my guest at lunch. We’ll have a feast, really. All kinds of wonderful home-cooked food. It’ll be marvelous, and we invite you to come and be a part of that on December 16th, the third Sunday in December. By the way, the wise men gave all their gifts to Christ. His Jesus on your shopping list this year. Hopefully you’re going to give a gift to Bible line as maybe a way of giving to Christ.

That will help us out. You can do that by telephone, by credit card, or you can call and ask us to send envelopes where you can be able to give to Bible. We are list or supported. We don’t have any other means of support. We believe that you are going to get the most for your investment with Bible. Not only are we getting people saved. We had a couple of people come by yesterday that had gotten saved through Bible and won all the way from New York, listening up there in Albany.

So we’re excited and we know people getting saved, people are growing, we had a pastor come by, got a Bible, had me sign it to him as he said that he got his clear doctrine because he of Bible. That’s exciting. You know, when we have preachers preaching good doctrine and the Bible has given them that foundation to get the Word of God out. And we have got calls from everywhere, including yesterday the Ukraine, and we got a call last week from Sweden.

People are listening to the Internet and the Bibleline in 151 countries so far, so we’re very excited about that. Today we mention we are right now in the celebration of Hanukkah. By the way Hanukkah is only mentioned in the New Testament. Did you know that? There is no reference to Hanukkah in the Old Testament. And really Hanukkah is all about Christ. Jesus in John’s Gospel, chapter 10, in verse 22, goes into the temple on Hanukkah, which in that verse is described as the Feast of Dedication.

It’s called the festival of lights and he enters the temple and the Jewish people crowd around him and ask him the question, how long do you make us to doubt? If you’re the Messiah, tell us plainly in Christ that I’ve told you, but you believe not. So here the question was on Hanukkah, is are you the Messiah? And he tells them he is and then he tells them in verse 30, I and my father are one and They thought this was blasphemy because they rejected who he was and they said that you’re a man and not God.

So they took up stones to stone him. So Christ was rejected on Hanukkah. Isn’t it amazing as it appears in the Gospel of John in the New Testament. I find a lot of Jewish people are really surprised to find out that Hanukkah is only mentioned in the New Testament. And secondly, that Hanukkah is all related to Christ. You see the whole point is that the temple was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar in BC 606. Then after the Babylonian captivity, the Jewish people went back and rebuilt that temple.

Then that temple was desecrated by Anticus epiphanies in about 170 or so BC. In 165 BC, a group of zealot priests called Maccabees who lived about 12 miles from Jerusalem actually liberated Jerusalem and the temple and resumed the temple worship and rededicated the temple. When they lighted the manure, the seven branch candlestick, they only had one day’s oil and the miracle was that it stayed lighted for eight days. And you know, that celebration continued even to this very day, the celebration of the rededication of the temple.

Now, the temple was built for God. That’s what Solomon originally built the temple for as a house for God. And we know that Jesus is God and here he comes to his temple and they reject him. Let me show you a very fascinating verse. It almost gives me, well, here’s all my arms stand up usually when I read this verse because here Jesus comes to the temple and this is over in… Matthew’s gospel. Let me look up the exact verse because it’s kind of thrilling.

Jesus comes into the temple and we find in verse 6 of Matthew chapter 12, Jesus says, I say unto you that in this place is one greater than the temple. Wow, they came to the temple. But Jesus said, there is one in this place, Matthew’s 12, 6, that is greater than the temple. Jesus, the one for whom the temple was built. Jesus is God. The temple was built for God. And here Jesus comes into the temple that was His house.

And he says, you’ve made my house identities. This was the house that God was to show himself in. And the temple was built originally by Solomon, destroyed. The second temple is the one that was desecrated and read dedicated in 165 BC and if you read the books of 1st and 2nd Maccabees it tells the history of what happened there and how they of course conquered Jerusalem and liberated the temple in Jerusalem in BC 165. But Jesus coming to that celebration that was continued after that is rejected on Hanukkah.

The only mention of Hanukkah in the Bible is in the New Testament, it’s in John chapter 10. And then when Jesus comes into the temple on purpose on that day, because this was his temple and he was coming here on the day of the celebration of the dedication of that temple and they reject him. And Jesus asked the question as they take stones to stone him. Doesn’t sound like Christ had lost control or was fearful and afraid. They were picking up stones to kill him.

And he says, many good works have I done for my father, for which of those good works do you stone me? Well, they said immediately following for a good work, we stonly not but for blasphemy because that you being a man make us thyself God. Wow! You see, they rejected the claim of Christ to be God in flesh, to be deity. And obviously, they took up stones to stone him, but they couldn’t take him because he’s God. And he walked right out through the midst of them.

He was never in any danger. Jesus chose the time and the place to die. He chose Calvary. Nobody could have taken his life had he not wanted to go. Even the soldiers that came in the garden there to betray him the night of the betrayal the night before the crucifixion when they came seeking him with their with their spears and their swords and their lanterns and their torches trained fighting men Jesus doesn’t hide He walks out and says whom are you seeking?

And they said Jesus of Nazareth and he says ah I am that’s the name of God. That’s the name that God used when he appeared to Moses at the Bertie Bush and Exodus chapter three. And you know these trained fighting men with their spears and their swords and their lanterns and their torches all fall backward down on the ground. And it they fell at the very power of him just stating his name. He could have vaporized them. He could have destroyed them.

But he didn’t. He asked them a second time, who did you say that you were seeking? This time I believe they probably stuttered. He said, I would imagine they were obviously a little bit frightened. And he said that you can take me, but just let my disciples go free. Think about this. What man in this position could lay down the terms of his surrender? Jesus was in total control of when he was betrayed there and the soldiers took him.

He said, I’ll go with you, but let my disciples go free. Wow, Jesus Christ is God. And he says, I have the power to lay down my lifetime. I have the power to take it up again. Jesus is really truly God. And this is the one that appeared on Hanukkah. So I like to tell people, happy Hanukkah. and it’s all about Jesus because Hanukkah is the celebration of the temple. You know for the Jewish people, I feel kind of badly in a way because they’re celebrating a temple that was rededicated that doesn’t even exist anymore.

It was destroyed in AD 70 by the Romans and for 2000 years they haven’t even had a temple but they’re still celebrating its rededication in BC 165 for a temple that doesn’t even stand anymore. There is no temple. Well, in any case, we’re living in the last days. Jesus is coming back. And I hope that you’ve trusted Him as your Savior. There is no other way to heaven. And Christ says in John 10, 28, on Hanukkah, I give unto them that is those that believe on Him.

I give unto them eternal life. And they shall never perish, which means you’ll never go to hell. And he says thirdly neither shall any plucked him out of my hand you will never be lost if you once trust Christ as Your Savior. I hope you’ve done that I really truly do and I hope if you’re listening right now And you’ve never trusted Christ would you just whisper prayer between you and the living God and just say God I don’t understand a whole lot about the Bible But I realize that I am a sinner in need of a Savior.

I place my trust in Jesus Christ right now Now, as my only hope of heaven, believing that he died and shed his blood and paid my sin debt and full was buried and rose again from the dead, when you trusted he did that for you, God saves you. I’m Dr. Englund from Mrs. Bibleline and we’re going to go to the phone lines and take your call. If you’d like to call us, it’s 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. Give us a call right now and we’ll be achup on the air.

We right now have Adam in Denver, Colorado. Welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Hi, Dr. Lynch from I have a question for you and I’ll hang up and listen. I was wondering if you could explain to me the difference between the false prophet and the antichrist and the whole scenario that takes place there. I’ll be happy to. Thank you Adam and Denver, Colorado. In Revelation 13, the first 10 verses describe the Antichrist and the next verses describe the false prophet.

These are two men that will come on the scene after the Rapture and be empowered by Satan himself. The Antichrist will be the object of worship. What we have here is the satanic trinity. Satan is the anti-type of God. The Antichrist is the Anti-Type of Christ, the Beast of the Book of Revelation 13, 1-10. Then the False Prophet is the Anti-Type of the Holy Spirit. It’s interesting that the role of the False Prophet in relationship to the Beast or the Antichrist is the same as the role of the Holy Spirit in relationship to Christ.

The Holy Spirit’s ministry is to glorify Christ and to draw attention to Christ and bring men to Christ. The role of the false prophet is to draw attention to the Antichrist and cause men to worship the Antichrist. You’ll find that the book of Revelation says exactly that. Let me read a verse here from Revelation 13. This is verse 12 talking about the false prophet. He the false prophet exercises all the power of the first beast before him. So here we have a trinity.

We have the false prophet having equal power with the Antichrist. He exercises all the power of the first beast before him. The same is true of the Holy Spirit. He being God has the same power and equal power with Jesus Christ, who is God who took on flesh. And then it says here, he causes the earth and them that would stroller in to worship the first beast. Well obviously the Holy Spirit is the one that causes people to come to know Christ and he convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and judgment according to John’s gospel.

And so the false prophet has a similar role in bringing attention to the Antichrist and to bring people to worship him. He also is the one that has the power of her thirteen to do great wonders or miracles. The miracles of Christ, according to the Bible, were done by the Holy Spirit. The man Jesus depended upon the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish the miracles that he did. So you’ll find there’s a very interesting pattern here. And so Satan has his Trinity, the counterfeit of the true Trinity, except that the true Trinity has three separate eternal persons that coexist at one time being one God.

Satan’s Trinity, there is only Satan, but he manifests himself through the man of the Antichrist, he manifests himself through the Holy Spirit, and this is very similar to the very, very blessedness teaching of the oneness. Theology that there is not three members of the Godhead which there are many that hold that false view. And some popular Bible teachers even hold that which is a totally false view. There is three separate eternal members in the Godhead. We have Yvonne in Tampa, Florida and Yvonne.

Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Well, wonderful. Thank you for calling in from Toronto, Canada. I’m glad to have you call. I pushed the wrong button, but I’m glad it’s the right button. We’re glad to have you on-plot. The question I’d like to ask is, is it only the Jewish people that will live on the earth for a thousand years while the people of the church will be in heaven? Well… Well, it’s partly true. The thousand-year reign is really an earthly kingdom that God has promised to Israel.

But guess what? We, the church, are going to come back with Christ as he begins that thousand years, we will be His bride and the whole earth will be delivered from the curse and everyone will celebrate the marriage of the price to His bride during that money. So we’ll be here but we’ll be back in our glorified bodies. The ones who are the actual subjects during the thousand year end of Christ will still be in their mortal bodies and they will marry and have children and so on and they will still be in need of a Savior and need to become saved and their children will also have a sin nature inherited from Adam and they’ll need to be evangelized and saved and so on.

But yes, we will be here, but we’ll go to heaven first at the Rapture seven years later come back with Christ as is bride. Okay, I have one more question. Go ahead. Okay, why do for persons is baptized in a state that is not right? Say, when I was 16, I was baptized as a seven-day Adventist. But now that I’ve found it true, do I need to be rebuffed ties again? Yes, you do. Because baptism is a testimony on the part of the person who has gotten saved.

So if you were baptized before your salvation, what were you giving testimony to? You weren’t. So after you become saved, that’s when you need to be water baptized, I believe, by immersion. immersion and so yes you need to be water baptized all over again but it has nothing to do with your salvation as far as obtaining it is a testimony that you have received it when you trusted Christ’s Savior that you were washed of your sin by the blood of Christ.

Thank you, Doug. You’re welcome. Okay and we’re getting more and more listeners up there from Canada that’s exciting and thank you Claude for calling in from Toronto, Canada. Now we’re going to go to to Yvonne and Yvonne, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Air. Hi, the New Testament speaks about men being given over to strong delusion and believing doctrines of devils. Would Mormonism be one of those? Well absolutely, that is a deception. The Mormon religion is not even Christian, not even close.

You have to be very, very careful because it’s a deception in the used terms that make it sound like it’s a Christian belief system. But actually, if you read carefully, these people believe that God was a man on a different planet. The planet Colob, K-O-L-O-B, you can look up on the internet, and this is where they all migrated from to this earth. Jesus, the brother of Satan according to moment theology, was chosen to become the Adam God here on this earth and to create bodies for these spirits from the planet Coab to come here and inhabit this planet.

Satan of course got jealous and he came down and according to momentism all the black people on the earth are spawned by Satan and all the white folks are spawned by Jesus Christ. Of course, that’s not the Jesus of the Bible, that’s not even the Lucifer or Satan of the Bible. It’s a totally false religion and there is no truth to what they teach. They have everything wrong and they don’t believe in hell. They deny the Trinity. The basic doctors of the Bible are denied by the Mormons and they are not a Christian group at all.

I was wondering if you had an opportunity to listen to Romney’s speech yesterday. I heard parts of it and of course he said he believed that Jesus was the Son of God. These are terms you have to recognize in Mormonism they believe every one of us are gods. They believe the lie of Satan and Genesis there where he says you will become gods. Interesting huh? I never heard him say that he had accepted Jesus as his own personal Savior.

Did you? No, and I don’t think that he was the Savior of mankind. I never heard him say that he was his own personal Savior. I agree with you. And basically they believe in a different way that everybody can become, you can actually surpass Jesus. You can become greater than he. we all can become gods. Thank you. You’re welcome and we’re going to have to go to break here but it’s so good to be with you and thank you for tuning in today and we hope that you’ll stay tuned in for the second half hour which will start in just a minute.

We’re going to go to the phone lines if you want to call us. It’s 1-800-576-3771. By the way, we’ve got some of the Clarence Larkin books back into our Resource Center. Some of you have been waiting for that book. We have the one called Dispensational Truth. To me that’s one of my most favorite books, 160 charts.

And he covers and outlines in a chart form the book of Revelation, the book of Daniel, the book of Genesis, the book of Ezekiel and many others. charts out the Daniel’s 70th week and numerous other prophetic things where you can get a visual picture of what’s going on. It’s exciting. We have his book also on Revelation. His book also we have on Daniel. We have his book called rightly dividing the word of truth. And these books are just incredible.

They were written about a hundred years ago. And yet they were written as though they were written yesterday, the insight that Clarence Larkin had into the scriptures. He was an architect. He got saved, used his architectural skills to draw these tremendous charts. And this really gives you a picture window into the Bible. I recommend them very highly. Well we’re going to go now to Betty and Betty is in Tampa, Florida and Betty welcome to Bible and you are on the air.

Betty are you there? Yes sir, I’m here. Good. I’m interested in knowing the difference between being saved and redemption. I have two questions on that. Well, basically, when you’re saved, there’s about 30 or 40 things that happen at the moment you get saved. Then redemption is one of the terms used to speak about how we become saved. To redeem means to deliver by paying a price. And we are delivered from the power of Satan and from hell by the price that was paid by Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.

So the redemption is the payment that was made through Jesus Christ that set us free and delivered us. Okay, then, there’s not a real difference between the timing of it. No, not at all. We are redeemed by the payment that was made at the cross, but it becomes valid for us at the moment we trust Christ as our Savior. We become redeemed. We become saved. If I’m not if I am saved and I am redeemed, but my question was with a dear friend of mine who believed that because she was redeemed, which she was setting it apart almost from being saved.

She believed that she would be able to ask God to be healed, and he hasn’t done it yet, and she was wondering why, and I said, well, maybe because he’s death thing ill. I wasn’t quite sure how, but we almost had an argument about it. I wanted to make sure that it meant the same, but it meant the way she’s talking about it. God never promises healing here in this world and you may or may not be healed. The body is a wonderful machine that God has created and we are going to recover from most about 85% of everything that we ever get hit with in this world.

We are going to be healed of by the natural processes of the body. Even doctors don’t heal. They aid the body in its own healing process. There is no doctor that can heal you. But your body is made such that you will recover. And there have been all kinds of quack remedies down through time that never did anything. But because people do recover, people would give credit to Dr. Indian Joe’s snake oil or whatever, and that supposedly healed them of whatever they had.

And really, it’s not the snake oil that did it. It was the fact that God created your body to recover. But you’re only going to live about 70, 80 years, maybe 100 years at most, and then you’re going to find this body will fail and you’ll die. So we’re not ever promised that we’re going to be healed of everything here. Right. Okay. Thank you so much for your answer. All right. Thank you, Betty. Yes, you’re truly deluded if you think you’re going to be able to live forever in this body and that you’re going to continue to be healed.

It’s just not going to happen. And the Bible says that we’re going to buy world terminal. That’s why we need to save you. We have David in St. Petersburg and David, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Hi, Dr. Hank, I was wondering what happens to the people who die without ever hearing the message of Jesus? Well, they go to help. But now a person who is seeking will find the message of Jesus. You know, it says in Jeremiah 29, 13, you shall seek me and find me when you shall search me with all your heart.

So somebody who’s looking for the truth will find the truth and I don’t care where they live and so on. It’s amazing. If you’re a witnessing Christian, you’ll find that God will bring you across the paths of people that are seeking. And he either brings the witnessing Christian across the path of a seeking person or he brings the seeking person across the path of a Christian and boom you smack that right. …bumping each other and you’re able to share.

We know that for example Saul when he was blinded on the road to Damascus began to seek and he began to pray and he was had to be led by the hand, he was blinded for 3 days and 3 nights and when he was into Damascus and I’ve been to Damascus and on the street called straight and I’ve been on that street in Damascus Syria, they… He winds up being connected by God to a man named Ananias. He tells Ananias that there’s a guy named Saul who’s seeking and praying, and then he tells Saul there’s a man named Ananias that’s able to tell you what to do to be saved.

And they match up and the Ananias leads Saul to Christ. He becomes the Apostle Paul. And throughout the Bible you see these wonderful stories. And I’ve run into people not by accident all the time. exciting. It’s a thrilling adventure, you know, every day to say, Lord, who will you, you know, have me cross the paths with that needs to know about Christ? And many of them right here on this radio program. I’ve told the story a number of times now, but when I went to Israel in March of this year 2007, I met a bunch of wonderful people from Nigeria and invited him to the hotel to my Bible study and about 40 of them came.

One of them stood up and said that he listened to Bibleline in Nigeria. That just blew my mind. Here I am from the United States traveling to Israel. He’s traveling from Nigeria to Israel and there we meet and here’s a man that listens to Bibleline over there in Nigeria. That’s exciting. Later that week we met other pastors from Nigeria, from northern Nigeria, and they were watching Bibleline and listening to it and wanted to get pictures with me. We met with our group.

That was just a thrill for me. Let me know that Bibleline is reaching out across the world and that is so exciting. We truly are blessed to see God working in this way to get the message to those that are seeking and they will find the truth. If you die without Christ, you will go to hell. That’s why it’s important for us to have a burden for the lost and try to tell people that are lost how to be saved, but God also will hold the lost person responsible for seeking.

And that was David, and we thank you so much. And we are excited again about the fact that Christmas is coming up, and this is a great opportunity for Christians to witness and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those that are lost. And I hope that you’re going to take advantage of that not only in your home, but in the workplace or wherever you can. You have to be discreet in the workplace obviously, but you can certainly use your break time, your lunch time.

You can invite people over to your home, over the holidays. You can write people to church, you can give them tracks, you can give out literature. We have the CD, how permanent is your salvation, a wonderful evangelistic tool to get that in the hand of somebody and let them listen to it and discover how they can be saved. I have Ishmael in Tampa, Florida, and he leaves this offer question. He is listening right now wanting to get this answer.

2 were the ones once enlightened in Hebrews 6 and why is past tense in Hebrews 6 verse 4 through 6? Well the ones that are enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift, these are Christians, these are believers. And it tells us there in Hebrews 6, 4 through 6 that it’s impossible for these who have become saved if they fall away from serving the Lord to go back and become saved again, because they are saved once and for all by the Lord the moment that they trust Jesus as their Savior.

In other words, you are saved once and for all and for ever once you trust Christ and if you attempt to go back and become saved again, it says in Hebrew 6 verse 6 that you You are crucifying Christ all over again to yourself, he will never die again, but you are crucifying again Christ to yourself and putting him to an open shame. Hebrews 10 makes it very clear that by the one time offering of Christ at the cross of Calvary, he paid for all of our sins, past, present and future, and you become saved once and for all forever the moment you trust Christ, and that is never to be repeated.

So if you get away from serving the Lord, what you need to do is get back and start serving again. The issue there is not salvation. The issue is rewards. Rewards are based upon our needs. If you stop serving, you stop earning rewards in heaven. So the believer doesn’t go back and become saved again, which is impossible. Because again, the one time death of Jesus Christ saves the lost person who puts your trust in Christ forever. The moment you trust Christ, you become safe forever and Christ promises to never cast you out and never lose you.

And so following away there is not falling away from salvation. That is impossible. But you can fall from your confidence, the Bible says. You can fall from your steadfastness. You can fall from your assurance and so on. But you cannot fall from salvation. So I hope that helps and we sure do thank you for asking that question. Ishmael will help that helps you. We have Janice in Tampa, Florida and she says, how do you make God the Lord of your life?

Well, that has to do with submission to the commands and the Lord guiding and directing your life. And of course we don’t make God the Lord of our life in order to be saved. It’s after we become saved that we submit to Him being Lord of our life. For me, I got saved and my life didn’t change a bit for a full year. I was a secret believer for a full year. Yet I was genuinely saved. I would have gone to heaven if I had died after I trusted Christ as my Savior.

But then I made a second decision where I chose to serve the Lord and say, Lord, whatever you want me to do, I’ll do wherever you want me to go. I’ll go whatever you want me to say. I’ll say, and I made that choice about a year after I became saved. It was about 19 when I made that second decision. My first decision to become saved to trust the Lord as Savior was an 18. But when I submitted my life to serve Him, that’s when He became the Lord of my life.

And everybody brought to do that, but it has nothing to do with your salvation. In Matthew 7 and verse 22, there are those who make submission to the Lordship of Christ, a condition for salvation. And let me just warn you, because this passage in Matthew 7, 22 says that many will one day stand before Jesus and say, Lord, Lord, so they acknowledge the Lordship of Christ, then When they profess to have been obedient to that lordship, they say, look at what we’ve done, why we preached in your name, healed in your name, did many wonderful works in your name, and Christ says to that group, I never do you.

So it doesn’t save you. These people go to hell because they had never trusted the death and shed blood of Christ as the means of their salvation. They were counting on their works and their submission to the lordship of Christ, and their obedience was what they were counting on to get them to heaven. And they said, Lord, Lord, they acknowledged His Lordship. And then they said, Lord, look at how we’ve obeyed and submitted to your Lordship, why we preached in your name and we healed in your name.

And we did many wonderful works in your name. Christ said, sorry, well answer. They didn’t say, Lord, we trusted in your death and shed blood that you were crucified and buried and rose again from the dead, the gospel message. They didn’t. They were pointing to three areas of service in their Christian life. And they said, look at these wonderful things that we’ve done. And Price said, that’s the wrong answer. I’m sorry. I never knew you. He didn’t say, I once knew you and I lost you.

He said, I never knew you. Depart from me ye that work iniquity. Number two, Dennis writes in and asks, offer, how do you walk in the Spirit? Well, the Holy Spirit is the author of scripture. So when somebody walks in the Spirit, it means they walk in the direction given by God the Holy Spirit, the author of scripture, as you read the Bible and you see what God would have you to do. That’s how you walk in the Spirit.

So it’s not like putting on a white sheet and going, ooh, and that kind of an idea. It’s quite plain where the Lord directs our paths. I love it back in the Psalms where it says, the Lord directs the path of the believer. So he directs it through his word. And as you follow those instructions and walk in the direction of the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, the author of scripture is the one that writes those things. And so that’s walking in the spirit.

Okay. And the third one by Janice is how do you make God number one in your life? That means everything else is secondary. It’s pretty simple to figure that one out. I think that when… He made choices, what God would have you to do, takes precedent over every other demand upon your life. And so, Janice, thank you for calling in with those great questions, and we hope that you’ll keep listening here to Bibleline. Andy, in Tampa 4, he calls in with this offer of question, what verse in the Old Testament proves people were saved by faith?

There are tons of them, but Genesis 15 and 6 is one of the good ones. It says there that Abraham believed God and it was Canada’s imporaciousness. Abraham was saved by faith without works. That verse is quoted three times in the New Testament to demonstrate exactly that. It’s quoted in Romans 4. He is quoted in Genesis, rather Galatians chapter 3, and of all places you would not think it would be. It’s in James 2, 23. James taught salvation by faith without works, and he quotes that verse in Genesis 15 about Abraham’s salvation and proves that Abraham was saved by faith without works.

But when he’s talking about Abraham demonstrating his faith before men and earning rewards in in heaven, he points to an event that took place 40 years after his salvation. That’s Abraham when he offers up his son Isaac. Abraham didn’t even have a son when he got saved. But later when he offered up his son maybe 40 years later, he demonstrated how much he truly believed God from the get-go. And so hopefully that helps a little bit. Andy, there’s a bunch of verses on that.

If you read Hebrews 11 it says, by faith, by faith, by faith, by faith. It’s the faith chapter talking about Old Testament saints who are all saved by faith. Andy also sends us another offer question. What verse says that Moses went to heaven? I don’t believe there’s any verse that says anyone to heaven, but we know that he’s coming back to the earth in the tribulation period and will preach for three and one half years. Read Revelation chapter 11.

But definitely Moses will be in heaven with us one day because he was a believer. I’m Dr. Engvenstrom and this is Bibleline and it’s wonderful to be with you today. We thank you so much for tuning in. I want you to go to Israel with me. We are leaving on March 25th, a Monday coming back on March 7th, a Friday, 12 full days in Israel. Everything you need to know is right there on the Internet. Go to the homepage and click on Bible Eye News and you can get the full itinerary, the full brochure and everything you need to know.

We have Felix here on the line. Felix, welcome to Bible Eye and you’re on the air. How are you doing, Archer? Good. I have a question about once you say that if you committed a sin you can ask for forgiveness. oh so what So what happened? Well, I never said you had to ask for forgiveness. We don’t. What you need to do when you sin as a believer is confess that sin and thank God that he’s already forgiven it because it’s already forgiven.

When Christ died, he forgave your past sins, your present sins, and your future sins. and it says in Hebrews 10, 17, and there’s sins and iniquities, well, I remember no more. Christ has already paid for and forgiven them all, but sin does hinder our walk with the Lord, our fellowship with the Lord, and in order to have that sin cleansed as far as our walk, we need to confess that to the Lord, but never does it ever tell us to ask for forgiveness because he’s already done that.

Also, I got a comment. It’s a shame that some people see salvation as a baseball game. I’m a young man, maybe, you know, if I’m in the home plate and I hit the ball and I run real fast to go to first and then the empire on first. I still got to work for us in a second. I can be out. Well, if you’re playing baseball, you can, but that’s not true about salvation at all. Once you save, you’re saved forever.

The Lord tells us that as far as he’s concerned, you’re already in heaven. Because in Ephesians 2, 6, he’s raised us up together with Christ and made us to sit in heavenly places in Christ Jesus in Ephesians 2, 6. So we’re already seen by God as though we’re already in heaven itself. Thank you so much, folks. We enjoyed having you on the air and all of our other guests today.
