Well, you know, in the book of Matthew, it talks about two being in the field, the one shall be taken and the other left. Two women should be grinding in the mill, the one will be taken, the other left.

Matthew 24 verse 40 and 41. Most people teach that this is the rapture, it is not. Let me just talk about a little lesson here in, rightly dividing the word of truth. This is talking about the second coming, seven years after the rapture and all the way through we see that in the context. It tells us here that Christ will come in verse 30. He will appear in, it says, all the tribes of the earth shall see him, they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

That is not the rapture. When Christ comes and all this power and all this glory when he comes with the Holy Angels that is the second coming seven years after the rapture. And what it’s talking about here is about the two in the field is the opposite of what happens at the rapture because the ones that are taken are taken in judgment and killed and the ones that are left behind are left to enter the millennium and be the subjects of a thousand year earthly reign of Christ.

at the context here and you’ll find it says that this event takes place after the tribulation period which obviously is the second coming event, not the rapture. And of course those that are post tribulation rapture, let’s say the rapture happens at the end of the tribulation period and we have to go through the tribulation period, use this as a proof text. And of course again they don’t rightly divide the Bible. But they do read verse 29 which says immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light.

The stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn. They shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with the sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds from the one end of heaven to the other.

So we find here that this is clearly the second coming and when the tribulation period is over Christ comes back, but the event here is not the rapture. How do we know? Please notice here it says in verse 37, As the days of Noah were, Social also becoming of the Son of Man be, For as in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the Ark.

Verse 39 says, And knew not until the flood came and took them all away. The flood took what group away? It took the unbelievers away. The believers, eight of them, were inside the Ark and they were safe and they were spared from the flood. It says here, Notice Verse 39, And knew not until the flood came and took them all away. I’ve taken the phrase in verse 39, took them. I’ve circled it. I’ve moved a line down to verse 40 where it says, “‘To be in the field of what will be taken.”

You see the one taken will be taken in the way the flood took the unbelievers back in the days of Noah. What did the flood do? It drowned them unless you could tread water for over a year. You were in serious trouble. That’s right. You weren’t going to make it. And obviously the whole world, except for the people in the heart, drowned. and it says the other will be left, just like no one in his family were left to repopulate the earth, the ones that are left behind are the believers who will enter the millennium and be the subjects and repopulate the earth during the Millennial Kingdom.

Two women shall be grinding at the mill, one shall be taken, I’ll take it and the word taken and draw on a circle around it and I’ve taken a line and drawn it back to the word taken in verse 40 and then drawn the line and taken it back to the word took in verse 39 because it’s all about the same event. As the flood took the unbelievers and destroyed them, killed them, drowned them, so will it be in the coming of the Son of Man.

When Christ comes up to Second Coming, every unbeliever on the earth will be taken in judgment and killed. Every one of them will not survive. You know, Second Thessalonians has a clear passage here about the Second Coming. It says in chapter 1 verses 8 and 9, Christ comes back in flaming fire, taking Vins and vengeance on them that no not God and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. When Christ comes back at the Second Coming, He comes back in vengeance to judge the world and He will take the unbelievers, those that no not God and that obey not the gospel, and they shall be punished with everlasting destruction the Bible says from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power.

They’re going to be separated from God forever and ever and ever and ever in the lake of fire. The ones that are left behind will live into the millennium and be the subjects and They will repopulate the earth Just as it was in the days of Noah the flood came and destroyed which group the unbelievers and The believers in the ark were left behind to repopulate the earth And so it will be in the second coming out the rapture.

It’s the opposite at the rapture what happens The ones that are taken are believers and they’re caught up to meet the Lord in the air. First Thessalonians 4 verses 13 through 18 in particular make this very clear. The ones that are believers are taken up and meet the Lord in the air. The unbelievers are left behind, as made so clear by the left behind series. The unbelievers are left behind at the rapture. The believers are taken up and meet the Lord in the air.

This event in Matthew is not the Rapture. It’s the Second Coming, and the ones that are taken are taken in judgment in slain, and the ones that are left behind are left to live into the Millennium. Let me give you some interesting references in the Old Testament. If you turn with me to the prophet Zachariah, this is the next to the last book of your Old Testament. And it’s quite fascinating, as it talks about the Second Coming event. And we’re going to turn out as Zachariah chapter 14.

It talks about the Lord coming back in verse 4, standing in that day upon the Mount of Olives. Christ will come back, his feet will touch on the Mount of Olives, the mount will split in half. And then Christ will set up his kingdom. It says in verse 9, the Lord shall be king over all the earth. In that day there shall be one Lord and his name one. I want you to go over now to verse 16 of Zechariah 14 and it says, it shall come to pass that everyone that is left, everyone that is left of all the nations, everyone that is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the king, the Lord of Hosts.

Well guess what, the ones that are left of the believers and they will go up every year to worship Jesus ruling over the earth in Jerusalem as king. the others are destroyed. It says he would destroy all those that come against Jerusalem at the Second Coming at the Battle of Armageddon. The ones that are left are the believers and everyone that is left of the nations which came against Jerusalem should go up even from year to year to worship the king.

So here again we have the same thing that Christ is talking about in Matthew 24, the ones that are left into the Millennial Kingdom and are the subjects of the worship of the Lord and the unbelievers are killed. Christ said, or God said, in Zechariah here in the Old Testament that I will destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. So the unbelievers will be destroyed and the believers will be left to live in the aluminum. The opposite of what happens in the rapture, because of the rapture the believers are taken up and the unbelievers are left behind.

In Isaiah we have another passage here which is kind of interesting. It’s about the Lord coming back and it says here when he comes back it is second coming. Verse 3 of Isaiah chapter 4 says it shall come to pass that he that is left in Zion. Not the ones that are taken. They are destroyed. They are killed. They will not enter the line him. But those that are left in Zion and he that remaineth in Jerusalem shall be called holy.

and everyone that is written among the living in Jerusalem, the ones that are left behind, the ones that live, the ones that survive will be called holy. That means that they’re saved, they’re righteous. They have the righteousness of God which has been credited to their account. So the Bible is very clear about Matthew 24 that those that are taken are taken in judgment and killed as it was in the days of Noah and the ones that are left to live into the millennium.

Amazing though how many preachers preach on this and try to say it’s the rapture. They don’t really have a clue, do they? They are not good Bible students and they don’t rightly divide the word and they don’t separate these things out. I’m Dr. Engvenstrum, this is Bibleline. We’re going to go to the phone lines, you’re welcome to dial us up here at 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. Good to go to Ralph. Ralph is in St. Petersburg. Ralph, welcome to Bibleline, you’re on the air.

Good morning. Good morning. During the war there’s probably over 500 submarines. Those in the seat down underneath and those crew maybe died hours or maybe day afterwards. How can their stove come up out of that water and to a steel hole? How is that possible? You mean at the event of the Rapture? Yes. That’s certainly not a problem for God. Wherever you might be, whether you’re on a mountain top or in a submarine beneath the sea, not a problem for God.

problem for God. He knows where every believer is and he will snatch you up to meet him in the air and it doesn’t matter if I’m in a building. Let’s say I’ve hit a bank and I’m in a safety deposit vault, maybe checking things in there and the rapture happens. I’ll go right through that steel and right through the bank vault and right on up through the building and I’ll meet the Lord of the air. That is not a problem and of course this is the excitement about the future at our resurrection bodies.

And as Christ in his resurrection body passed right through the locked door or wall of the room where the disciples were gathered, he just was all of a sudden appearing in the room. We’ll be able to do, I think, similar things. So I believe that’s the answer. I have a second question. Ignite your face. Absolutely, absolutely we will. And I think there’s going to be something about our resurrection bodies that will know people that we didn’t even know. You know in Matthew 17 when Christ appeared on the Mount of Transfiguration and Peter, James and John went up there on the mountain with Christ and saw that take place.

There were two men there with Jesus, Moses and Elijah. Peter immediately recognized who they were. I don’t think they were wearing name tags. I don’t think there was a big sign or on their t-shirt that said, I am Moses. The other said, I am Elijah. They simply knew that they were Moses and Elijah. And I think there’s something about our new bodies that will allow that to take place. Okay, well thank you very much. You’re welcome Ralph. Keep listening over there in St.

Petersburg and thank you for that call. We now have Sam and Sam is in Brookville, Florida and Sam, welcome to Bibleline You Are On The Air. Yes, I was wondering if you could explain Ephesians 526, is that talking about water baptism? I’ll hang up and listen. Alright, let me get there. That was Sam in Brooksoil, Florida. We’re going to Ephesians and he’s asking about is this talking about water baptism and the answer I can tell you as we get there.

Let’s go here. Ephesians 5 and very close and here we are in verse 26. So the Christ might sanctify and cleansse it. That is the Church, the Body of Christ, with the washing of the water by the Word. That’s talking about our daily Christian life. That Christ might continually cleanse us as we read the Word of God. You know the Word of God has a cleansing effect. Just like you take water, which is a wonderful solvent and you wash your hands.

Even if you don’t use soap, a certain amount of the grit or girt will be washed away by the water. of the pictures that of the Word of God that He might, by the washing of water, by the Word, present us as believers. So in other words, Christ cleans us up as we get into the Word of God. That’s why believers need to be into the Bible and read it. This is certainly not talking about water baptism at all.

And and thank you for that call, and we’re going to move on now to Chris in Plant City, and Chris, welcome to Bibleline your on air I got Chris, you’re on air. And Chris, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. I can’t, yeah, Chris, you’re on the ear. Look called the possibilities of prayer by Reverend Ian Bounds. And I was just curious what your thoughts were on his writings and his teachings and how you feel about him. I know. I think.

And I’ll hang up for my answer. All right. I think he does a pretty good job. And that’s one of several books I think I have in my library. The one I like the most is by John R. Rice called Prayer, Asking and Receiving. We have that in our resource center here, which really is a book that just excited me about the whole topic of prayer. But there are many good books out there, and that’s certainly a good one.

I would recommend it to you. Chris, good question. Thank you for calling. We’re now going to go to Don in Treasure Island. Don, welcome to Bibleline. I’m good to have you on the air with us. Don, are you there? Oh, yes, Pastor. OK, you’re on the air with me. I’m having a little problem when Matthew 25. I’m reading the story of the talents. Two of the Lord’s servants were given talents and they doubled them and the one who only had one talent very came back and was unhappy with them.

But the problem with it is a three of verse and he said, it says, “‘And can’t ye the unprofitable servant “‘into outer darkness, “‘there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth? “‘Well, that is undoubtedly hell, is it not?” Absolutely. And it would seem to me that this would be the talent and how they use them would be the gift that God has given us and how we use them so they would determine our rewards or lack of rewards. But they all, I don’t understand that.

I’m not sure at all. Actually the talent here is the amount of money he gives them to invest. And you’ll notice the first two he calls them good and faithful. There’s two things going on there. They’re called good because they’re saved because you read earlier in Matthew 19, Christ said to the rich young ruler, why did you call them? He called me good, there is none good but one that is God. He was pointing out that he himself is God, who took on human flesh and the rest of us in the Emirates are sinners and we need a Savior.

But secondly they were faithful. They entered into the glory of the Lord because they were good. They were rewarded with ruling power in the future in the millennium because they were faithful. But this last guy, if you know this verse 26, is called wicked. Now the wicked in the Bible are the unbelievers. If you are not saved, you are called wicked in the Bible, no matter how religious or moral you might be. If you stand before God in your own righteousness, it is wickedness.

The Bible even says our best righteous deeds are filthy rags in God’s sight. And so the unbeliever is wicked here. And notice he is not only wicked but he is slothful, he is lazy. And so he will receive a degree of punishment in addition to going to hell. He goes to hell because he’s an unbeliever, but he’s assigned a degree of punishment and held based upon his slothfulness. I guess the word that’s throwing me here is the word servant.

He calls him all servants. And I just assume that a servant was a child of God. Not at all. In this case we find that Christ is king when he comes back. Everybody in under a king is a servant to that king. So they’re all servants because he’s the king and he rules over everybody on the earth, period as the at the second coming and so the servant doesn’t tie them in to be believers all thank you very much it makes sense now well thank you don good call from treasure island florida and we’re now going to go to david and channa nigger tenessee david welcome to my blood you’re on here yes sir let me just say goodbye to our mind the audience because they uh…

actually go off here just a little bit before the other stations do so good to have you miami If you want to help us stay on the air down there, you can give a gift by blind by giving it by credit card or mailing a gift in. We’re not trying to get your money, but we do want to remain on the air there and also expand to an hour. Well, that was Miami. But the Saints in the Old Testament became Saints by the same way that we are.

Let me point out to you, Acts 10.43. Peter says in this one verse, sweeping with the pen, the whole Old Testament, he says to him. Referring to Jesus in X1043 or the Hebrew is Yeshua, English translated Jesus, to Him give all the prophets witness. The prophets are the writers of the Old Testament and they all spoke about Christ from Genesis to Malachi and He says that they said that through His name, the name of Yeshua or in English Jesus, whosoever believe it in Him, that’s Yeshua or Jesus would receive the remission of your sins.

So Peter just summarizes it real quick for us that everybody’s ever been saved. It’s been saved by faith in Christ alone. And of course the word mishua, which is translated in English Jesus, occurs over 130 times in the Old Testament. So Christ is there throughout the Old Testament and they believed on Jesus. Relations 3, 8 says that Abraham heard the gospel, believed the gospel, and that’s how Abraham was saved. He believed on Christ. Relations 3, 8. I just can’t.

No, they’re absolutely wrong. Among them is less feldic and many others. They teach salvation by works in other times, but not only believe it’s by grace and they’re wrong. It is absolutely wrong. Well, thank you so much. Thank you, David. And we’re coming up on our break time here. We’ll have to go to break again. If you want to help my mind, you can help us financially and also pray for us. And I want to thank you in advance because you’re the ones who keep us on the air.

and I trust that you’ll pray for us here at Bibleline. We’re going to take a short break. We’ll come back and do a second and a half hour. I hope you’ll be with me as we join the second happen just a moment. Don’t go away. I’ll be right back. Boy, Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Anker Instruments. Exciting to be with you. What an age we’re living in.

modern technology that’s here and the ability for us to be able to broadcast to you from Tampa, Florida, from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church where I passed her for us to be able to stream up to the internet and have people watch us and listen to us from all over the world. We had a young man in our church Sunday. He said, my girlfriend is in Scotland and she’s watching your worship service from Scotland and that’s exciting.

And when we hear this all the time, people in different parts of the world watching Bible line from wherever they might be, you can tell your friends, your neighbors, your relatives that are in other countries right now, maybe they’re in the military, maybe they’re on business or whatever, they can catch Bibleline anywhere in the world. And I hope you’ll tell your missionaries that if they are in other countries about Bible line, let them tune in to the Bibleline programs.

If they have internet access, they’re going to be able to get by the line anywhere in the world. I hope that you’ll pass that word along. Also Israel, we’re leaving February 25th. It’s not too late for you to go. Just make that decision. I remember when I made my first decision to go. I just knew I had to go. I just knew that it was going to help me. And boy, did I ever get an education on my first trip.

I had so many misconceptions, so many things wrong in my head that immediately were straightened out. I believe every pastor ought to go because you really don’t get it right many times until you actually go to Israel. If you want, I think it’s the equivalent of a year of Bible College to go to Israel would be wonderful. Why not plan to go? Call us, we’ll send you to the brochure or you can go to the internet site and see it for yourself.

It’s bylineministries.org, bylineministries.org. On the right side of the homepage, click on the byline news and you can pull up the four page brochure, the two page itinerary. But calls will mail one to you. I’ll talk to you on the phone about it. Love to have you go. I hope you’ll join me. We also want you to know that we just started a new class first Peter here on Tuesday nights in that’ll run for more weeks. You can order the CDs of that series and also you can catch the ones that we just finished.

The Gospel of John, the Basic Bible Doc friends, Jesus is coming, a number of those and many of these later ones now have been produced in video as well for you if you want to get them on DVD. Call and inquire and we’ll be glad to . . . . . . . . . What you can do and how you can get them and you can order them over the phone call us and order them today. Also, we’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break into the second half hour Bible lines.

So keep your radio. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and this is the second and half hour of the Bible and program. We’re excited about being able to be with you for a full hour coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church where I pastor and this is a third Sunday coming up.

What does that mean? If you’re driving distance you can come by and come to the service. Stay as my guest for dinner. We’re going to have a wonderful lunch of all kinds of wonderful home-cooked food. My mouth is watering right now. Thinking about this dinner. I’m telling you, some great cooks and great food will have plenty. And you’re welcome to be my guest. Just come bring your family, your appetite, your Bible. And you’re deputized, invite your relatives and friends to just bring a busload.

Come on over and join us for the service on the 20th of January, this Sunday. Come at 10.30 for the morning worship. If you want to come earlier, I have an adult Bible study at 9.59. I teach along with the other studies that are going on. But you can join mine if you like, and we’d love to have you. That’s this study. Leaving for Israel February 25th. I want you to be on board. Give me a call. We’ll get you going.

How today? It will be wonderful. I’ll never forget that first trip I took. It really opened my eyes. I had so many misconceptions that really got squared away by that trip. I believe it’s equivalent to a year of Bible college. I really do. And I have taught it three-bit from Bible colleges. And I’ll tell you, you get such a crammed education on-site learning, right there. And we’ll be studying the Bible every day. Go with me. We’ll baptize you in the Jordan River.

We’ll take you to the Hill of Calvary, the Tomb of Christ, the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea, the Mediterranean. We’ll see it all. We’ll have a great time and I want you to be on board with me. Give me a call. We’ll get you going on that. We have a new class now where you’ve just started teaching last night. First Peter, we have a great crowd. You can still get in on that if you want to come if you live locally.

But if you’re not, you’re able to buy the CDs. And guess what? Also DVDs. We have it in a DVD format. You can watch the class as though you were there or you can hear it as though you were there. On CD the quality is excellent. enjoy this class on 1 Peter. It’s excellent, excellent, excellent. We’re so glad to have you tuned in today and by this way this broadcast is going up to the internet right now. You can hear us live at BibleLineMinistries.org and then these programs dropped into archive and you can listen to them, download them and hear them.

fellow was here last night. He had 261 one hour by my programs in his iPod. Are you believing that? 261 programs. 261 hours of Bible line in his iPod. The technology today is incredible. You can do that too. You can download them in the MP3 format off of our website and load up your iPod and carry the Bible in with you and listen to it at your convenience. It’s just absolutely amazing. Apparently I think he says in his car he’s able to take a little plug in and plug it into his radio in his car and listen on the car stereo.

He said it’s incredible. He just loves it. Anyway, those are some of the things that are possible. Check out our Resource Center. We have lots of resources including this current series. be available on CD and DVD. And also the last series, John’s Gospel, 20 hours of teaching, and that’s available on CD and DVD. And also some of the previous ones that we taught here are available in those two formats as well. You get out of 40 different ones and there’s lots of teaching you can use for your personal learning and also for facilitating a Bible study or a Seneca School class or however you want to use it.

We’re excited and we’re just glad to be with you today. I hope you want to call us and we’ll try to take your questions as they come. We’re going to go to right now to Chattanooga, Tennessee and we have Lane waiting there patiently and Lane welcome to Viblon you’re on the air. Good morning. Really enjoy your program. Thank you. A few moments ago you were talking to someone about the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. Yes. And you alluded to the one servant that is called wicked and slawful as being an unbeliever, as being someone that was not saved.

That’s correct. In the verse there it calls him a servant and I looked it up in the Greek it says he’s a bond servant. Would that not be an indication that he was a believer? Well, in this case, you see it’s not like as he used of us as believers that are bond slaves to Christ. He is here a slave or as everyone is, if you live in a like a dictatorship where there’s a king, when Christ comes back, he’s king over all the earth and everybody saved or lost or under his kingship and are in our his servants uh…

the real tell tell uh… answer here is that this guy’s cast into hell uh… first up if you go to john six thirty seven christ and he would never cast out any believer for any reason or enter or under any circumstance so we know that a believer cannot be cast into hell uh… you’re safe forever and you will not be lost or cast out secondly the context here if you rightly divide you’ll notice The first two guys that enter into the joy of the Lord are both considered good, which can only happen by belief.

Because the Bible says there is none to do it good, no not one Romans 3, 12. Jesus said, why did you call me good to the rich young ruler? He said there is none good but one that is God. So we know that to be called good in the Bible or to be called righteous, you can only have that by a righteousness that God gives or imputes to the account of a believer based upon faith in the substitutionary death of Christ.

And of course this last guy is called wicked, so he’s just not a believer at all. He is seen in his own righteousness which is wickedness and he’s lost and he’s cast into hell because he was not saved. It’s a good point. A lot of people make that point and I think we go astray when we try to make them believers because they’re called servants. But when you read about the kingdom or any kingdom, everybody in the kingdom under the leadership of that king is a servant when they’re saved lost.

But if they’re in the kingdom, would that not make them a believer? Well, he doesn’t get in. That’s why what the problem is here. He’s being cast out and he doesn’t really enter in. The king comes, but he’s found when the king comes not to be saved and it’s cast out. The same thing is it’s true of the wedding feast of Matthew 22. You have a guy that didn’t have the wedding garment and he’s cast out only those that had the wedding garment, which is a picture of the righteousness of Christ given to the believer are eligible to enter in and the same thing is true, the 10 virgins, the 5 wives are saved, the last 5, the foolish are not.

As Jesus makes it clear in verse 12 of man to 25, I know you not. So he said, I don’t know you, but the Bible tells us he knows everyone that is saved. He knows those that are his own. Second Timothy 2 19 says, the foundation of the Lord stand assured. The Lord knows those that are his. So he knows who’s are his and who’s are not. And these are cast out because they’re not good point you make, but that’s not the thing that puts them together.

But if you use that interpretation, do you not destroy Christians concerning living and an unfaithful life? I don’t think that’s the warning in these passages. I think those warnings are other places that we need to live a Christian life. If we know we’ll suffer the loss of reward in heaven. We’ll incur God’s chasing or discipline upon our life But I don’t think that’s the last of these teaching here in these particular passages that we’re referring to or darkness not just be a metaphor of Not being included into the kingdom like the other two servants are no, but at all if you read the other passages in Matthew earlier, it’s clearly Hell and it’s a mashing of teeth as well in Matthew chapter 13 in particular in the chapter there with some of those major parables.

It talks about those being cast down to darkness actually being cast into hell. Thank you, Lane. I appreciate that call and we’re now going to move on to Adam in Tampa, Florida. Adam, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Do we receive it upon belief and we’ve got ties right then? What was the difference between the people back then and now? Okay, sure. In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit did not permanently end all believers. The Holy Spirit could…

could come and go upon a believer. Saul, for example, was a believer and he was given the Holy Spirit and then later the Holy Spirit was taken from him. When Davidson was with Bathsheba, he prayed in Psalm 51, Lord take not thy Holy Spirit from me. In the Gospel of Luke, it says there that prior to Pentecost, you could pray to receive the Holy Spirit. But today that would be bad theology because every believer has the Holy Spirit and we need not to pray for that which we already have.

So every believer has the Holy Spirit at the moment of belief and he permanently involves the believer of this age. So we do receive the Holy Spirit at the moment of belief, John 7, 38 and 39, but it didn’t happen prior to Pentecost. Now what happened in John 20 that you just referenced was the, right after the resurrection, he gave them the Holy Spirit temporarily for those 40 days when he taught them prior to Pentecost. For 40 days he was alive and taught the disciples and he ascends back to heaven.

He told them in Acts 1, 5, to wait 10 more days till the 50th day which is Pentecost and then they would receive the Holy Spirit permanently in drawing. I believe they only have the Holy Spirit 40 days. The Holy Spirit left as it did in the Old Testament times came and went. And then 10 more days later they’d have the Holy Spirit permanently. And thank you Adam for that call. We now are going to Gene in Bradenton Florida and Gene, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

Hi, I’ve been reading your article about the incompatibility of false teaching on repentance with the gospel of grace. And since I’m born again and saved by the grace of God, I’m wondering, should I be confessing my sins and should I be asking for forgiveness for them, or is that already taken care of? Well the first part is correct. In 1 John 1 9 we have a verse that deals about life within the family of God for those that are born again.

And it talks about in verse 8 that we all sin and that sin verses 5 through 8 separates us in our walk, not our relationship, which is eternal, but our fellowship, our intimacy is broken by sin. So it says in 1 John 1 9, if we, the writer of John, of course the apostle John, saved at least 60 years at the time says if we confess our sins, that means to name by name those things which we know to be sin to the Lord.

He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins the ones we name and he cleanses us from all enriches us which means he wipes us like clean. This is really intended to be done throughout the day as you sin. When you recognize that you’ve done something wrong, stop confess it to the Lord and you are going to be forgiven that sin and cleanse the volen righteousness in your walk. As far as your salvation is concerned, your sins are gone, gone, gone, and they’re as far as the east is from the west and never will be remembered again.

But as far as our daily walk, sin does interrupt our fellowship, and so it has to do with that. And it doesn’t ever tell us to ask. It tells us to thank him for doing what he promised he would do. So if you confess, he forgives, and that has to do with your daily walk. I remember when I was living at home as a child, I was there my mom and dad’s son, whether I behaved or whether I didn’t behave.

But I found my behavior affected my walk or my fellowship with my intimacy with my parents. And if I did things wrong, I was usually restricted. I was maybe lost some of my allowance. And other penalties came down on me. But if I was obedient, I was rewarded. Sometimes I got to stay a little bit later. I got other privileges given to me and maybe my allowance went up. So the same thing is true in the family of God.

When you get saved, you’re saved eternally. Nothing can affect your relationship, but your intimacy, your walk, your fellowship is impacted by how you live your life. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Okay, Gene, thank you in Bradenton, Florida. We now have Buddy in Lake Odessa, Michigan. And welcome all the way up here for the frozen north. Thank you. Good morning, Vassa. Good morning. Are you mentioning earlier Bible translations? I acquired last week a Geneva Bible 1560 edition, and I can understand why the Puritan state would have for many, many years, even after the King James came out.

It’s so wonderful. I think it’s really a better translation than the King James in the study notes a great. I just wonder what you thought about that. Well, I haven’t spent much time in it, but I don’t doubt that you’re right. And old is sometimes better than new. I really believe that. I like old books because it seems like it was a lot more thought, a lot more insight as people had more time and less distractions than we do today.

And we had some good scholarships. So probably right on. And I have to grab mine off the shelf and take a look at it. a fresh look. Maybe you’re going to win me over to looking at it more often. I love it. All right. Well, thank you, buddy. Uh-huh. Lake Odessa, Michigan. Thank you for calling in Buddy. And we’re reaching out there. We’re on in Lansing. We’re on Flint and Psychonaw, Michigan. We’re excited about being on the air in many of these different places.

We’re going to go to some of our offer questions. We have a whole bunch here. I’m going to go to Katie in New York. She says regarding Calvinism, what happens to the sins of a person who does not trust Christ alone for their salvation. Where do their sins go? Well, obviously Jesus, when he died, paid for the sins of every man, woman, and child who would ever live from Adam to the last person who will ever be born toward the into the Millennial Kingdom and he paid for older sins past, present, and future.

So those sins are just erased, gone, gone, gone, and separated from God forever and they’ll never be brought up or remembered again. So I don’t know about what Calvin said about that, but your sins are forgiven and the choice you require to make is to trust Christ. If you do not trust Christ, then your sins are retained, and will come up against you and as a result you will go to hell. But if you are a believer, your sins will not be found when the war looks at you.

He will see you as righteous and that is the answer to the question. Okay, we have off here another one, an anonymous caller from Tampa Florida that says, why only a thousand year time of peace and what happens after that and what will the people in hell and will the people in hell actually live on this earth. The answer is the people in hell will never live on this earth, they’ll be in hell forever and ever and ever and this thousand year of kingdom is an earthly kingdom of a thousand years only in length and right after that the believers will eternally live with the Lord in the New Jerusalem and have access to the new earth that God will create and will be eternally with the Lord.

But at that point there will be no more sin. All those that are lost will be in hell forever. Satan, as angels will be in hell forever, will not ever have that again. We have a question from Heard in St. Petersburg and he says, will gays who believe in God go to heaven? Gaze that trust Christ will go to heaven. You can believe in God and go to hell. So that’s not the question. But certainly, people are God that died for them, and they can be saved, sure.

But those who trust in Christ, that’s the key point. Leaving in God doesn’t mean a thing. I think every person on the earth probably believes in God. I don’t believe in there any true atheist. So believing in God doesn’t get you there. You must trust that Christ died. Shed His blood was buried and rose again from the dead. In other words, the gospel message is the power of God and the salvation to everyone that believes. If you read Romans 1, 16, it tells us that.

That this message of the death, the burial, the resurrection of Christ is the means by which we are saved. It’s the power of God and the salvation to everyone that believe it. Okay, we have here Magna in Tampa, Florida calling in saying, why did Lance daughter lay with him after Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed? And the answer was I know they wanted to carry on the family line and So they got here their father drunk had sex with him and they both became pregnant and the descendants of those people continue on to this day and And that’s what their intention was.

It’s unfortunate that a lot had lived in an environment, apparently, perverted sex. And in Sodom, and here the daughters picked up on that and… And their sons, lots of grandsons were born out of an ancestral relationship between him and his daughters. He was drunk, but they purposefully got him drunk so they could do that. Thank you for the question. And obviously we have the Bible clearly telling us about the sins of its heroes. And it doesn’t hide it from us.

Alright, we’re going to go now to Richard in Indiana and he says, if the earth is millions of years old, why did God in Exodus 20, 11 say, for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth and the sea and all that is in them? Nothing about replenishing the earth but made. Well guess what? The word made is not the same word as the word created, get your Greek or Hebrew dictionary out, you’ll need the Hebrew, but the word made is translated or named or to a point, and it has to do with purpose, not to do with creation.

The word creation is used very sparingly in the Bible, and it says in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. In Exodus 20 verse 11 where he made, speaks about his appointment, the reason which the earth was, I believe, recreated and to be replenished. And there that appointment is mentioned there next to this. So the word doesn’t mean created. That’s the answer. He didn’t create the earth in six days. He created it in the beginning. But the six days were a reappointment of the earth for life again, this time with man being placed on the planet.

All right, we have here Barry in Pinellas Park calling in. He says, the scriptures tell us that a thousand years is as a day for God in heaven. What did you view on this and a lot of creation in Genesis? I believe what it’s saying there is that the seven days of the recreated week are a micro cosym picture of God’s plan for the earth in history that there would be 7,000 years of history total. There would be 4,000 years or four days from Adam to Christ.

Two more days from Christ first coming to a second coming, it’s a total of six days, and then Christ would come back and there would be a seventh day called the Day of the Ward which would be a day of peace on earth, the earth would be at rest, and just as God rested on the seventh day, that was a picture of the Millennial Kingdom, and that there will be a thousand years of rest here on the planet Earth, and that one day is a thousand years is basically a hint telling us how long God’s program would be for man and how he would wind it up.

Thank you so much if you want to call in, the number is 1-800-576-3771. All right. Edwin in New York calls in. He says in Acts there was a couple and and I asked them to fire and they were strict that why. Seems too severe a punishment. Well they had lied about how they had taken care of the money that they got from selling their property. They said they gave it all to the Lord and they didn’t. and the Lord took their life.

It was a discipline upon a delinquent believer and it says that they lied to God the Holy Spirit and the Lord took their lives. They were still saved and of course you can argue with God one day whether the punishment was too severe or not but definitely that was an example of what we call the sin and the death where the Lord in some cases will take you home to heaven early because of the sin you might commit. We have Beverly in Jacksonville, Florida and Beverly, welcome to Bibleline.

Hi Beverly. Hi Beverly. How you doing? I was just calling on her to comment on the question about gays receiving crimes. And I agree with that but I think you might leave people kind of hanging because if you it to get saved you will change your game I well you need to if you don’t you’re going to be dead you know I have buried several gay people they wouldn’t change their lifestyle and God just takes you out of here and so you can’t live as a delinquent believer and not have God spank you and in some cases he takes your life early in first Corinthians 5 we have an example of a man living in fornication with his mother and the Lord said to deliver him unto Satan to kill his body, his flesh, that the Spirit may be saved in the day of the

Lord Jesus. So here God allowed Satan to kill him. Maybe through some sexual sin. Some disease that came as a result of his sex, but we don’t know how he died, but basically the Lord took him out of here and that’ll happen. For sure, you’re not going to get away with it, but they really need to practice abstinence if they get saved, for sure. What scripture was that you said? In 1 Corinthians 5, 1 from 5, it talks about there the Corinthian who was living in adultery with his mother.
