I hope you have a Bible handy and if you don’t then just listen. But again, some people in the evening like to go to the Internet and hear the program because they can stop me, back me up, fast forward me, pause and so on. And so if you have your Bible open, it really makes it nice because you can take time.
He’s going to study a particular topic and do it from the website there and be able to go forward and stop and pause and all that kind of good stuff. Alright, if you have your Bible handy, let’s open it up. We’re going to turn in our Bibles to Luke chapter 19. Luke chapter 19. Here we have Jesus pulling back the curtains on the unseen world. There are things that our human eyes cannot see. And here we have Jesus telling us what happens to those who die and here in particular prior to the death of the burial, the resurrection of Christ.
In Luke chapter 16, let’s see here, where am I? Luke chapter 16, my pages are all sticking together. Here we have Luke chapter 16 beginning in verse 19 is where we’re turning. There was a certain rich man which was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. Then it says in verse 20, there was a certain beggar named Lazarus which was laid at his gate full of source. What is interesting here is this is not a parable.
This is not a parable. Parables do not name specific individuals. And here we have two men that are specifically named and pointed out. These are real people. And it tells us here about a little bit about them. Here the beggar that was laid at the gate of the rich man was full of sores. Obviously he was hungry. He desired to be fed verse 21 with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. over the dogs came and licked his source.
It came to pass, it says in verse 22, that the beggar died and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried and in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments and see if Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. What we have here is that both died but both had a different destination. One was saved, one was lost. Lazarus the beggar was saved and the angels took and escorted him to paradise in the heart of the earth and where Abraham was, who was called in the Bible the Father of Faith.
And there all of the believers of the Old Testament age were there in paradise awaiting for Christ to die and pay for their sins on the cross of Calvary so that they could actually then be allowed to enter heaven itself. This is paradise. It’s not a purgatory. The rich man also went to the heart of the earth and he was in a place here of torment. And unfortunately the King James Bible uses the word hell here. But the Greek word should never have been translated hell.
It reads, and in hell, it should read, and in Hades, in this place of torment, the rich man lifted up his eyes being in torment. So he was tormented. Lazarus was in a place of comfort, and there was an impassable gulf here between both places. The rich man could look over and see Abraham and see Lazarus and vice-versa, but they could not pass over between the two. If you read verse 26 of this chapter, it says, and beside all this, between us and you, there is a great gulf fixed so that the data would pass from thence to you cannot, neither can they pass to us, that we come from thence.
So here’s an impassable gulf between the two compartments or two places in the heart of the earth. When Jesus died, he went down into the paradise portion. When Jesus died, He told the dying thief, today, thou shalt be with me in paradise. The dying thief we know went to paradise. We also know it’s in the heart of the earth because Jesus said in Matthew 1240 that he would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
When Christ died, He left the body in the tomb and went down into the heart of the earth into the place called paradise, the place where Lazarus the beggar was, the place where where the dying thief went upon his death there on the cross and where all of the Old Testament saints were including Abraham who is called the father of faith and there they were waiting for Christ to come. in Jesus. He fulfilled the passages that in the Old Testament said that he would proclaim liberty to these saints that were captive in the heart of the earth, and that he would then liberate them and take them out of the heart of the earth and take them up to heaven.
According to Ephesians chapter 4, let me read a little bit from this passage. It’s quite exciting. It tells us exactly about this event. Now I’ve noticed some of the new translations from theincerity of the Bible. completely dismiss it. Wash it out. It’s no longer there. I was reading from the new living translation. Terrible, terrible, terrible translation. The new living is terrible. It completely destroys and erases this story that’s in Ephesians chapter 4. I don’t know if you’d want a Bible like that, but it’s one of many instances where they just take away from the biblical story.
It says in Ephesians 4-8. When, wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men. What is this group that he led captive? This group was all of the Old Testament saints waiting in the heart of the earth. That’s exactly where Lazarus the beggar went. That’s where the dying thief went and all of the Old Testament saints went. Look at what it says here in Ephesians 4-9. Now he that ascended, what is it but that he first also descended into the lower parts of the earth?
Verse 10, he that descended is the same also that ascended far above all heavens that he might fill all things. Well there you have it. Jesus, before he ascends to heaven, descends first into the lower parts of the earth and And there he leads a group that is in captivity and captive up to heaven, and he takes them beyond all of the planetary heavens into heaven itself. Let me read that verse again because it’s quite descriptive. It says, now he that ascended, what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?
He that descended is the same also that ascended far above all heavens that he might fill all He went beyond all of the visible heavens, all of the starry heavens that we see at night, with our telescopes. He went beyond all that to heaven itself, and that’s where Paradise is today. If you read 2nd Corinthians chapter 12, the first three or four verses talk about how that Paradise now is in what we call the third heaven. That’s heaven itself, where God resides.
So Paradise was in the heart of the earth, but now is taken out of the heart of the earth because Jesus paid the full sin debt for the Old Testament saints and they were saved the same way we are by trusting in His finished work His death and shed blood as the payment for sin. When He died He went down there to tell these saints, hey I have now fully paid for your sins and I’m going to liberate you and I’m going to take you out of here and He opens up paradise with his key and he delivers them out of there into heaven itself.
That’s why this side of the cross, believers who die, go straight to heaven. We’re absent from the body, present with the Lord, 2 Corinthians 5-8. You need to write that one down. That’s such a good one. 2 Corinthians 5-8, absent from the body, present with the Lord. So at the moment you die today, you’re absent from the body, you’re present with a warrant. But if you had lived in the Old Testament times, you would have been absent from the body present in paradise.
That’s what Jesus told the dying thief in Luke 23, 43. Today, thou shalt be with me in paradise, and we know that at that time paradise was in the heart of the earth. We know also the unsaved dead are there in a place of torment in the heart of the earth, And they remain there. That rich man that we read about a moment ago in Luke chapter 16 is there in Flamin Tormen as he was when Jesus talked about it 2,000 years ago.
He’s still there, still in Tormen. And ultimately he is going to be delivered out of Hades to be cast into hell. When you read Revelation chapter 20, it talks about the great white throne judgment at the end of the Millennial Kingdom. Christ is ruled for a thousand years, Satan is first cast into hell. He gets to be first along with the Antichrist and the False Prophet. Then Satan’s angels are next, they are cast into this eternal lake of fire.
And then the lost, who are in Hades or in the heart of the earth in this place of torment, are brought up and, guess what, that rich man will be among them, as he will be brought up and he will be judged according to his works, assigned a degree of punishment and help and cast into the everlasting. He says, Hey, these delivered up to dead which were in it. So those that are unsaved are still there and will be delivered up to this final judgment.
And it says, and they were cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death eternal lake of fire where the lost will be separated from God forever and ever and ever and ever. Well, the Bible is very clear about what happens after death. Certainly the. soul continues to live, either with the Lord or separated from God forever. And we find that those that are dead are conscious after death, as the rich man remembered his life back on the earth.
And he remembered Lazarus and so on. And yet there was nothing he could do about it. There’s no second chances. Once you die, you’re dead forever. By the way, this passage in Luke 16 is not liked by the cults. The Jehovah’s Witnesses try to tell you that it’s a parable, but again, we said that parables do not name specific individuals. This is real, which you’re reading about in Luke 16. And this is what really happens to the believer and the unbeliever, but that was before the cross.
Now, the believer like the beggar, Lazarus, would not go to the heart of the earth, but directly into Heaven itself where Paradise now is according to 2nd Corinthians chapter 12, the first couple of verses. I’m Dr. Inklynstrom. I hope that’s been helpful and we’re going to take our callers in just a minute. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771 and we invite you to give us a call and we’re going to go first to Robert in Clearwater, Florida and Robert, welcome to Bible I am here on the air.
Yes, good morning Dr. Hank, how are you today? Fine, thank you. Good. Listen, Dr. Hank, I want to tell you, I want to be one compliment first. I have never heard a preacher preach quite like you do. I mean, you just give everything directly from the Bible and you say if you don’t believe me, you look up at it here in the Scripture and I find that so refreshing because very few preachers do that and it’s really great to hear.
Thank you. Yeah, I definitely believe that’s so important and I wish more preachers would do that. I do too. And that brings me to my question here with you. I’ve heard you preach in the past that onceyou’re saved, you’re always saved. And at first I didn’t believe that until I looked up the scriptures myself that you gave so that there’ll be, if you do think that you shouldn’t, but I mean you yourself will be personally saved. That’s what it says in the Bible.
But I belong to a Pentecostal church that believes that you can lose your salvation Nicotine. I tried to explain to a lady there the other day. I’m like, you know, gars would be like God being an Indian giffer. He said, you know, he gives you a present and he said, no, no, no, get up back to you. You’re not being good enough. I said, Jesus wouldn’t have had to come down and die for us if we could be good enough.
And you know what her response to me was, well, that’s just the way I was brought up and that’s the way I’m always going to believe. So my question to you is this, how do you respond to somebody that says, well, that’s just the way I was brought up. That’s just what I’m going to believe and that’s it. Well, I think you have a reminder that if they don’t agree with scripture that they are are in error. And the real danger here is that they may not be saved at all.
And generally I think that’s the case when a person believes they can lose it when you kind of draw it out for them on paper. They’re trusting in their works. They’re telling you. And I usually ask them, let me just see if I get this thing right. You’re telling me that if you live the Christian life and you’re faithful at it and you die, you go to heaven. Is that right? And they’ll say, absolutely. Yeah. And you’re telling me that if you live the Christian life and then stop and backslide and die what would happen then oh I’d go to hell.
Then you’re telling me that what you do between now and your death determines your salvation that’s works and that makes you the Savior not Christ and you’re not going to be saved according to the Bible. And that kind of I think wakes them up because I said you’re in danger of not ever walking the streets of heaven because you’re really not saved. You’re trusting in your works as long as you believe you can lose it. You’re really saying you have to work to keep it or get it and that’s the work for salvation.
Yeah, that’s a good point but how do you respond to that when they say well that’s just what I believe in and that’s it. Well, if you want to be a little stronger it says in 1 John 5 10 that you’re calling out a liar. It says if you believe not the record that God gave concerning his son you’re calling out a liar. And I said if God were to stand here right now would you look in his face and in his eyes and say you’re a liar?
I don’t believe your word. Well, in reality, that’s what you’re doing. Although God is not looking you eyeball to eyeball here, he’s given us his word. And then he says in 1 John 5, 11, so there’s no mistaking. He says, this is the record that I have given unto you eternal life. And this life is in my son. He that has the Son has life, he that has not the Son of God has not life. And then here’s the wonderful verse that I love.
The eternal security verse where it says, I’ve written this to you, the believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know K-N-O-W, not hope, yes perhaps or maybe. You can know that you have H-A-V-E, present tense that you possess right now, eternal life. And so the believer can actually know that they’re going to heaven while they’re living. And the Bible says there, if you don’t believe that, then you’re calling God a liar. I have the big more preacher that preach just like you do because I’m just really unhappy with the church that I’m going to because they all believe that you can look.
I keep going there because my kids are so entwined in the ministry and when they’re hungry now, we have to listen to you for a good like you do. Well, you’re going to have to maybe go on the hunt and take a look because obviously it is very difficult in that environment. I was raised at a church like that where you could lose your salvation. And amazingly, the majority just went with the church doctrine because it comes down from the top.
If you can get the preacher saved, maybe things would change. But that’s usually not the case. Usually the preacher’s not saved and his doctrine is wrong and so the whole church is confused as a result. All right. Thank you for calling in today. Robert in Clearwater, Florida. We have a few offer questions here. I think I’ll try to take one here real quickly. Let me go down to Vicki in Lakeland, Florida. He says, my question is about Genesis 6-4, who were the sons of God and what does it mean about the giants?
Well, the sons of God there are believers who married the daughters of men who are unbelievers. And what happened was that the gospel didn’t get passed down through the family, through the children like it should have, and only one family was saved at the time when God addressed the situation. As far as the giants, they were there before the marriages. So many people try to say that these marriages were between angels, fallen angels, and women, and that they bore these giants.
But they don’t read very carefully. I’m surprised that they don’t. It says in verse 4, Genesis 6, there were giants in the earth in the earth. those days. And then it says, and also after that, after that, after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, they bear children. So notice the giants were there prior to the marriages between the sons of God and the daughters of women. But the sons of God, they are believers.
Hebrews 1, 5 is the great answer. It says there that God never called an angel his son in the story, in the whole confusion there because God never called an angel his son. So the sons of God are believers as it says in John 1, 12, to as many as received Christ to them become the sons of God that believe on Christ. When you trust Christ you become born again, you become a child of God. And that’s so important.
Let me say hi to Miami. We’re so glad to be on the Air in Miami and we’re glad to get new Listers every day. And we are hearing from you down in that area. Thank you for letting us know that you’re listening, you’re enjoying. We are Listers supported and we really do need your help to be able to continue to be on the Air in Miami. If you could help us, you could send a gift by credit card or mail a gift, but that would be very helpful so we can not only continue to be on the air, but we’re hoping to go on for the full hour.
So, pray for us. Give us a call. Let us know what’s going on and if you’re enjoying the program and if you can, leave a gift by credit card over the phone while you’re at it. Thank you, Miami. And they check out just before other stations do so we wanted to say goodbye to them. We have Robert in the land, Florida, and Robert, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning. Good morning. I think I stepped 19 came first and if you’re talking about the disciples there of John the Baptist Paul runs into them and leads them to Christ.
They were not saved. They did not have the Holy Spirit and Paul detected that and then he led the Christ and they received the Holy Spirit right there. You know it says Romans 8 and 9, if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. So they were not saved and Paul detected that. And he’d asked them about the baptismal Holy Spirit. The King James of messes us up there because it said, have you received the Holy Spirit since you were baptized with the baptism of John?
And it really should read when? It’s simultaneous with belief that you receive the Holy Spirit and Paul asked that big question. You should let him know that they were not saved yet. So if you have a scofield, a point set out on the margin that untold confusion has been caused because it should read when instead of since, which since makes it a subsequent experience with so many churches teach and they get their bad doctrine from that error in translation in your King James Bible.
We’re going to have to go to break here and I thank you for that call and you can hold on if you want and we’ll get back to you. But we’re going to have to say goodbye for the first half hour. We’re going to come back and do a second half hour and I hope you will be there listening for the second half hour. You can go on the internet and here’s 24-7. You might want to do that. You can come back and catch the whole program again at any time of day or night later today By going to BibleLineMinistries.org and click on the spinning globe.
We’re going to take a short break. We’ll come back and do a second and a half hour Bible. And so stay tuned right here and we’ll be right back in just a moment. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Englinschruin. It’s great to be with you. It’s Tuesday and we enjoy being with you each and every day. Thank you for tuning in to the Bible and broadcast. Again, I want to remind you about the website because you can go there 24-7 and catch our radio programs in their entirety again and again and again and again.
And again, and you can fast forward me, you can pause me, and it makes it great for maybe studying your Bible about a particular topic that we have dealt with during the radio show. You can look up those verses and take time to write them down and hear the answer. And I hope you’ll do that. That’s BibleLineMinistries.org. Click on the spinning globe. You’ll be connected to our radio programs. Now there, there’s about a month’s for the programs in MP3 format to download.
But if you want more, if you’ll click on the TV set, the page that comes up will have on the right side audio presentations. And if you open that up, there’s over two years of radio programs all sitting there for you to download. So there’s plenty. I mean, you can be busy with two years’ worth of radio programs, and they’re all sitting there. Some of them are titled based on the monologue, and you’re welcome to go ahead and download them.
and enjoy them as you will. And of course, our worship services are there. This is a real special thing now that we’ve got going. And we have a year’s worth of sermons with audio and video sitting here waiting for you. You can also order the classes and sermons from Calvary on a DVD or on a CD. And a lot of folks are doing that. They really enjoy the DVDs, the CDs, and so on. And we hope that you will take advantage.
We have the Jay Verda McGee series. That’s a $200 value, five volumes for a gift of 100. We also have the Lewis-Pair Shafer System Medi-Theology four volumes. It was originally eight, but now it’s bound in four. Beautiful bound, a nice set. And it’s usually $180 in your bookstore. And we have that for a gift of 100. If you’d like to get one of those sets, we have a few left. And that’s a real bargain. real bargain you’re getting it for about half of what it normally sells for.
We got some great books by Erwin Litzer. If you know somebody who’s about ready to lose a loved one or has recently lost one, his book is great called One Minute After You Die and Erwin Litzer the Past for the Many Memorial Church in Chicago. Really, this has led a lot of people to Christ and it might be a great tool for you to leave the loss to Christ. Give it to somebody who’s bereaved or somebody who has somebody who’s facing death.
It’s powerful. We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break and do the second half hour Bibleline. So keep you ready to and write where it is and we’ll do the second half hour right now. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible Item. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church where I pastor and we invite you to tune us in each and every day and I hope you will and that would be great to have you as a regular listener.
You can choose the time if you use the internet because you can hear our programs 24-7 and that’s exciting. I know. A lot of people tell me they listen in the evening in particular after they’ve had dinner and they kind of settle down. They get on their computer and they put the program and listen to it where they can hear the whole program and they can stop it, pause it, back it up, fast forward. And they can just really pretty much be in control.
And that’s wonderful. And plus our worship services are there. You can do the same with our worship services. I think you’ll enjoy all of that. Your worship services obviously will be in color and you have audio and video and we have over a year’s worth of sermons sitting there waiting for you. Again, thank you all for those of you who pray for us and give the Bibleline. We are totally listener supported. We constantly appeal because we need your help.
We don’t have any other means of support. We really don’t. And it’s amazing that we’re on the air. We really shouldn’t be by all rights except that God raises up people just like you who enjoy the program and want to see it continue and they give and thank God for you because you’re the ones who are the heroes who keep Bibleline on the air. I want to thank in advance for your prayers and for your gifts to Bibleline and every day we thank God for you who are the real ones who keep this program on the air wherever it’s being heard.
We’re now going to go to Virginia the mechanics bill and we have D on the line and D welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Good morning Dr. Hank. I realize the blood sacrifice will be going through the tribulation for the Israel nation of Israel. Is that going to continue on through the millennium? And what is that doing the tribulation of the normal sacrifices? The animal sacrifices. Yeah, the temple will be rebuilt right after the rapture and blood sacrifices will be offered again.
In the middle of the tribulation, according to Daniel 927, the Antichrist will break the peace in the Middle East and stop the sacrifices in the temple. And according to 2 Thessalonians 2, 4, he will step up inside the temple himself and make a proclamation to the world that he’s God and the man to be worshiped. But when Christ comes back at the end of the tribulation period, seven years after the rapture, he will refurbish the temple and yes, there will be sacrifices during the millennium he can read it in Ezekiel and there will be memorial in nature pointing back to the cross reminding us of what Christ did there for us.
Then at the end of the millennium it will be another rule of Satan and that’s when it’s second resurrection. the resurrection of the unsafe debt happens and then it’s done for no more temple no more sacrifices at all. Okay, thank you very much. You’re very welcome. Thank you for calling from Mechanicsville, Virginia and we appreciate your call. We would like to have you call if you’d like to at 1-800-576-3771. All right, we have here a question from Arthur in St.
Petersburg, Florida. He leaves this off for a question. He says, I’ve heard you say many times all you need to do for salvation is believe on Jesus. However, Matthew 1022, Matthew 2413 says that he who endures to the end shall be saved. Please explain. Well, obviously salvation is not always talking about eternal salvation. And this is the case in Matthew 24. So you You have to read the context or you really will get yourself in trouble. For example, in the book of Acts, they were on a ship and it was a great storm.
And Paul told the people on the ship, except you buy it in the ship, none of you will be saved. So we could start a new religion, abiding in the ship religion. And you could build your church in the shape of a ship, have everybody bring food and provisions and get on the ship in the church and stay there. And if they leave the church they lost, if they stay in the church they’ll be saved. It’s completely nonsense. You have to read the context and obviously that was talking about physical death from the terrible storm that they were experiencing as they were in that ship in the Mediterranean in the book of Acts.
So it’s not talking about internal salvation. The same thing here in Matthew 24 and in Matthew 10. It says here in verse 13, he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved, is talking about the end of the tribulation period, those that are living in the tribulation period, that become saved, that endure to the end will be saved to live into the millennium, otherwise, if they die, they will not experience the millennial kingdom. Notice verse 21 and 22, here’s your answer, Arthur, I hope you’re listening.
For them shall be great tribulations such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, the Nor shall ever be. Verse 22, except those days should be shortened. There should no flesh be saved. Mark no flesh. In other words, if Jesus didn’t come back and stop the tribulation period at just seven years in length, all life on the planet would be extinguished at the Battle of Armageddon. There would no flesh be living after the battle concluded.
But Jesus comes back. He interrupts it. And those that survived to that point to the end of the tribulation period that endured the end. will live into the Millennial Kingdom. It’s not talking about eternal salvation. It’s talking about physical survival. If you’re in the tribulation and you’re reading this and the Lord is saying if you manage to keep yourself alive till the end of this seven-year period Christ will come back and pen it short and you’ll live there into His Kingdom and be one of those in their mortal bodies that will be the subjects of Christ the King during that thousand-year reign.
Thank you answer for that question and we’ll now go to Joe in Pembert Pines. It says in Revelation 13, 1 through 6, what about the seven heads and ten horns? Well the seven heads are seven world powers and you’ll find that in John, rather in Revelation 17, that John the Apostle explains basically who they are. He said at the time he was writing the book of Revelation, there was one in power at that time. He said prior to him, five were fallen.
So here they are. Have you got your pen? Joe, the first one was Egypt, the second one was Assyria, the third world power was Babylon, the fourth was the Medo-Persian Empire, the fifth one was Greece, the sixth was Rome that was in power when John writes the book of Revelation, and the seventh one of course is the 10th Kingdom of the Antichrist during the Tribulation Period. So there you have it. And the last one, of course, the Tenhorns and the Tenhos are all talking about the nations of Europe that will come together and be in that seventh world power represented by the seventh head.
That’s a quick explanation, but you can get my series on Revelation, my series on Daniel. I have 12 hours of teaching verse by verse in the book of Revelation on CD for you also we have the book of Daniel 10 hours of teaching we go verse by verse and we explain About these very things you’re asking about We have Jana in that saw New York She leaves this offer question my friend loves the book God wrote only the Bible What are your thoughts on this book and do you have it your bookstore?
We don’t and I’m not too sure. I haven’t read it. I don’t believe I probably ought to make a note to To look up that book and get a copy for myself, and then I’ll be able to tell you if it’s a good one We’ll put it in our bookstore in our resource center We’re very selective about what we put there and the books that we have there we recommend and they’ll be very Helpful to you We have a now a fellow named Hank.
He’s got a good name there the same as mine Hank in Saint Petersburg He leaves this offer a question. After the Rapture, would it not become clear to those left behind what or that the truth is the word of God? It’s true that once the Rapture happens, hindsight is always 20-20. But those that have heard the gospel apparently will be deluded, the Bible says, to believe the lie of the Antichrist. So they would have an unfair advantage. I remember many years ago in the college dorm when I was in college, witnessing and talking about the rapture and I had to have people tell me, well I’m just going to wait and if you disappear or if a lot of Christians disappear then I’ll believe.
And I said, well don’t bank on it because 2nd Thessalonians says that those who rejected the truth will be blinded and believe the lie of the Antichrist. So if you’ve really heard a clear presentation, and by the way I believe most people haven’t I was raised in church for 18 years and never heard a clear presentation. So I think it’s more than just hearing about Christ somewhere out there in the wind. You have to be, I think, clearly presented with the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ as being the only way to heaven.
And if you reject that message, present it to you clearly, you’ll probably never trust the Lord if you haven’t before the rapture, you’ll be blinded by the Antichrist during the tribulation. Thank you for calling in. We now have George in Temple Terrace 40 calls in with his offer of question. He says that heaven is in the north. But how come it is not affected by the big bang?
You know, it’s interesting. The Big Bang is possibly the moment of creation when God brought the universe into existence in Genesis 1-1. But God lives outside of time and He lives outside of space. And God is the one who created it all. So obviously, heaven is not affected by any of that. So I don’t think we have to worry about that and will not be affected by time and space. It’s the eternal home of God and it discrepant the Bible in the north.
If you look at my articles on heaven as in the north you will see many verses that reference the fact that heaven is in the north in reference to our universe. Alright we have Matt in Albany New York. He calls in with this offer question. He says please discuss the Antichrist during the seven year tribulation before Christ returned. Now he rises to power and I believe he comes out of the United States which will be the 11th nation that Daniel in Revelation speaks about.
And this nation will control Europe and the Europe in America will become under one authority. And the Western nations under the control of the Antichrist will totally take over all of what was ancient Assyria. That would include Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Egypt. All of that land will be taken over by the Antichrist. And he’ll plan his palace, according to Daniel chapter 11, in Jerusalem, and he’ll rule the Western world from Jerusalem as the counterfeit Christ, as Christ will rule the world during the millennium from Jerusalem.
And of course, at the end of the tribulation period, he’s defeated Christ comes back and sets up his kingdom. Okay, we have Myra in Sarasota. In John 1426, please explain remembrance. There it says the Holy Spirit would bring remembrance to the disciples. He’s talking, I believe, about the New Testament record that God, about 20 years after Christ went back to heaven, brought them perfect recall about the events in the life of Christ so that they can record them in the scriptures for you and me with perfect remembrance so that they got every jot and tittle just right.
And so the gift of knowledge is exactly what we’re talking about here, where God gave them perfect knowledge concerning the scripture and the things that they have seen, but brought back to their memory exactly everything that happened in great detail so that we could have an accurate record of the events in the life of Christ. gift is no longer necessary. It has ceased and you have the counterfeits out there trying to claim that they have the gift of knowledge today.
But in 1 Corinthians 13, 8 through 10, it says the gift of knowledge and the gift of prophecy and the gift of tongues would all cease when the New Testament record was completed. And we believe that’s exactly the case. So that’s what it’s talking about. It’s not for you and me necessarily to have perfect remembers although I’ve memorized a lot of scripture the Lord has allowed me to remember them. The gift there is the Holy Spirit bringing into their remembrance the events in his life so that when they wrote about the feeding of the five thousand they got it right exactly as it happened and the words that Christ spoke and what happened and so on that’s all based on the gift of We have now Robin and Lutz, Florida calling in and Robin, welcome to Bibleline your own ear.
Oh, thank you very much, Dr. Winston, for your time. Dr. Winston, the question I had, I’m just curious, with a minister or a ministry, he’s got some new book out and his last name is Prince. He’s got some 15,000 people in the church and Singapore. Do you know anything about him if you heard of him? I don’t believe I have, but I can try to Google it and find out probably you can do the same. I’m not familiar with him yet, but there’s new ones coming up all the time, and you have to be very careful about what they preach.
Sometimes the real large churches are with a watered-down message or a wrong message, and that’s why they attract so many people. When you preach the truth… It divides and oftentimes the huge megachurches don’t have a lot of truth because they couldn’t keep all those people together if they did. And that’s generally the case. Now there’s some, I’m sure, good megachurches out there, but for the most part, many of them have a very bad doctrine. and they control and get their people by the entertainment that they do, the music and the other things that they do in the way of incitement, which is the attraction today, not the word of God.
I appreciate your answer. I appreciate your answer. The reason I asked that is that my wife, a friend of hers, had enlightened her to his last name is Prince. And he’s got a book out. She’s got it in and a bedroom. I don’t have a name over here. But she’s been enlightened to him. to him as if he’s some kind of new messiah or whatever, and I’m somewhat skeptical. Absolutely, I would be too. I’ll try to check on that and maybe we’ll make a comment on it for you.
And, you know, I’m all the other person had, you know, is also high on this Benny Hinn, and I know what I’ve heard quite a bit about him. Yeah, his belief system is very confused. He has more than three in his Trinity. I think there’s nine in the Trinity because each member of the Trinity is a Trinity in itself. self and so the his Trinity is is nine and many other false crazy things that many hand teachers that are not based on the Bible at all.
What what looks like a crazy figure that out? I have no idea. Okay. Oh I don’t want some thank you for your time. You’re welcome. Sorry I couldn’t help there on that. There’s so many to keep track of but we can probably figure it out real quick here. It’s not too hard anymore to find out what somebody believes. If you just type in my name under Google, you get page after page after page after page and it won’t take you long to find out what I teach because it’s right there all over the internet.
And most of the others if they’re out there at all in a public way, they’re going to be on the internet so you can easily find out rather quickly. The fun over here is Bible item 1-800-576-3771, We have our classes tonight on 1 Peter. We want you to come if you’re in driving distance. Be my guest. Just drive out, sit in the classes. We’re having a great time. We have ministers as well as lay people. And we’re going verse by verse.
It’s an exciting study. We’re recording it on CD and DVD. And those are available already if you want to order some of them. Obviously, we haven’t completed the classes yet. We have classes one through six already done available on CD and DVD. We also will have all ten hours of teaching finished by the end of next week, next Tuesday. And then we’ll go to our trip on Israel and we’ll come back and do second Peter. And you might want to be a student if you’re in the area.
If not, we will be offering these by CD and DVD. And also perhaps later we’ll offer on the Internet for you to take as a class on the Internet. We have done in Wisconsin calling any leaves of this offer a question. What scripture is there that says that you lose remembrance of loved ones not in heaven? Well, it doesn’t say it in those exact words, but it says in Revelation chapter 21 and verse 5 that you wives to wear tears and the former things are passed away.
I believe that’s probably the closest reference to that. And so our tears might continue right up until the beginning of the New Heavens and New Earth and the New Jerusalem where we’ll be eternally with the Lord after the lost or finally eternally cast into the lake of fire. The Lord comes over and wipes away the tears from our eyes and the form of things are passed away. And I believe those parts of our memory that we bring sorrow are also erased.
so that it will not be souring throughout eternity. But I think that’s the place I would go. Revelation 21, the first six or seven verses. And those are favorites of people. It’s talks about no sickness, no death, no disease, no tears, no sorrow. All that will be gone. So check that out, Don, and thank you for that call. We have here Joe in Pembroke Pines, and he, again, leaves it off your question. It says here. The word study with the strongest in accordance seems to conflict with the King James Version in Psalm 8 5 according to a call on 1219.
This can only cause confusion with the word of God. People will distrust the Bible. I am sorry I didn’t have a chance to look this up. I just seen your question now, Joe, but maybe you’re looking up the wrong number. I mean sometimes it’s easy to put your finger on the wrong number, maybe you have a problem with that. But I’ll look it up for you. Psalm 8, 5, and we’ll look up whatever, I can’t see what particular word that you are bringing up here as a conflict, but I’ll try to look it up and we’ll see.
And usually it’s not a problem with the Bible. a problem with our understanding of the context or of the words that are being used. We have a number of offer questions from Oliver. We’ll go to John and Tampa. John says, please explain John 3.16. Why does it say should not perish rather than shall not perish? And the answer is because it’s conditional. It’s addressed here to the world, to all of mankind. And if you don’t believe, then you will perish.
So it’s saying here that God gave His Son to die for the sins of the whole world, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish. That is the course you’re on. If you’re lost, what do you have to do to go to hell? Just do nothing. And you will perish and you will go to hell. But so that you should not perish, God made a provision in Christ, and when you trust Christ, you become saved, you have eternal life, and then you will not perish.
So it’s based upon the verses conditional upon your response to the gospel message. You must believe on Christ in order to be saved. John, thank you for that question. And we have numerous others here. We have Joyce in New York and she calls in with this offer of question. What is the meaning first John chapter two. First John chapter two. Now look up the verses you’re talking about verses 24 and 25. Hold on a second. I’m almost there. John chapter 2 verse 24 and 25 say, let that therefore abide in you which you have heard from the beginning.
If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you shall continue in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us even eternal life. So here it’s talking about if you have trusted the more to your Savior. You need to continue in the Word and let it be a real part of your life. Otherwise, we know from other passages like Peter that you can even drift away and forget even that you’re saved.
But once you’re saved, you’re saved forever. And notice the promise is, and what a great verse verse 25 is, this is the promise that he promised us eternal life. You might have noticed some Christians go forward, some Christians go backward, and some Christians remain in neutral and don’t go anywhere. A lot of Christians are thinking of a category that they don’t go anywhere. So you need to continue to feed and fuel what you’ve learned about Christ by staying in the Word of God and growing.
And as you do, you’ll find that you’ll move forward and the Word of God will really take effect in your life and bring the joy and the fruit and the rewards that God wants every believer to experience. I’m Dr. Hank Vincent. This is Bible and I hope everybody is listening, as trusted Jesus as their Savior. And if you haven’t, just tell the Lord Lord I’m a sinner. I don’t understand a whole lot about the Bible, but I believe Jesus Christ died for me.
I believe He paid for my sins in full. I believe He was buried. I believe He came back from the dead. I want to trust Him right now to save me and to forgive me and to give me the gifts of eternal life and he will. At the moment you trust him, you become saved eternally.
