We’ll be talking about the Bible. We’ll be sharing and it’ll be a great day. I’m looking forward to being with you today and for the rest of the week. And of course, this weekend is the third Sunday. We’re gonna have our third Sunday dinner if you’re in driving distance. Come out and join us for that 1030 service if you wanna come at 915. You can join my adult class. You can also then stay for lunch. A lot of great home-cooked food.

It’ll be a wonderful time of fellowship. And that’s this Sunday, the third Sunday in the month of March. This is also very special Sunday as we’re coming up on Palm Sunday. And this is a very special day that marks the beginning of the Crucifixion Week. You might want to get my Crucifixion Week chart that outlines everything that happens every day, Monday, Sunday through Sunday, beginning with Palm Sunday through Resurrection Sunday, free of charge. Just call and ask for us to send that out to you.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. Give us a call. We’ll send out that Crucifixion Week chart. We also have a number of messages on CD and DVD that outline the Crucifixion Week and how we believe Christ was crucified on Wednesday and resurrected 72 hours after He’s placed in the tomb. That means Saturday at sundown, the beginning of the first day of the week. They seek for the Jews. Their day begins at sundown. And so Sunday begins at sundown sanity. We believe that’s when the resurrection took place.

And when people came in the morning, they discovered an empty tomb. They didn’t see the resurrection. It already had happened 12 hours earlier. Sure good to be back. We had a wonderful time in Israel. We’re planning another trip. We want you to call. Give us your information and we’ll try to get your input into this trip. We want to know when you’d like to go. We want to know where you’d like to go. We’re going to add another country or so to the trip.

We might go to Egypt. We might go to Petra in Jordan. We might go to Greece. We want to hear from you. And we’ll try to tailor this trip to your desires. We’ll have a great time, of course, in Israel. We don’t want to bypass the Holy Land, the special places where the prophets and the apostles and Jesus himself walked. We had a marvelous, safe trip, great food, great weather, great everything. And we love to have you on the next trip.

Give us a call here at 1-800-576-3771. And if you have a question for the show today, you can call in and leave that question on the air. The Bible’s an incredible book. We’ll talk about the Bible for a few minutes and then we’ll get your questions today. But you know the Bible doesn’t mess up when it talks about any topic. It is the infallible, inerrant, inspired Word of God. God is the author. And certainly he knows about every topic and every science and he gets it right.

You know when you read the writings of the world religions they get it wrong. For example in the Hindus writings the Vedas it describes the world as triangular in shape made of seven layers, one layer of sugar, another layer of honey, another layer of fire, another layer of water and so on. And obviously they get it wrong. The Bible, of course, right on tells us the earth is round thousands of years ago in Isaiah 40-22. But also about the sun and the moon.

In the Hindu writings it tells us that the sun and the moon are two torches in the sky. That’s certainly wrong because we know that the moon is not a source of light but the moon is a reflective body and the Bible gets that right from the get-go. Let me read a verse to you back in the book of Job chapter 25 and here it tells us even to the moon and it shined not. Yay the stars are not pure in his sight.

Well in that interesting. The moon does not shine. The moon reflects light. And it reflects, of course, in proportion to the light it receives from the sun. Amazing. The Bible doesn’t mess up, whereas men in the past have made many, many mistakes in the area of sciences, including astronomy, but the Bible doesn’t mess up. The moon does not shine. The moon reflects light. It is not a source of light, but is one that simply reflects from the sun. That correlation is carried throughout the Bible.

When you read over in Matthew 24, when Jesus comes back, the Bible says the sun will be darkened. It’s Matthew 24, and you’ll find in verse 29 it says immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened. What does that mean in relationship to the moon? Well then it says, and the moon shall not give her light. If you reduce the sun’s light, then the moon cannot reflect it. Obviously the Bible has that correlation everywhere. The Bible is an absolutely amazing book.

This, of course, particularly piqued my interest in the Bible as a young man looking to the sciences for my answers, I found out that the Bible was an amazingly accurate book and told things that men did not know. the time in which they wrote the Bible, they were very ignorant about these things, and yet it told in advance things that today were discovering to be accurate. Well, what’s interesting is coming up is the rapture, and that’s when all believers all over the face of the earth will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and then following will be seven years of tribulation, the darkest hours that the world will ever experience.

And it tells us in the book of Revelation chapter 16, if you want to turn there in your Bible, the seven bowl or vile judgments. It tells us in judgment number four, verse eight of Revelation chapter 16, and the fourth angel poured out his vial or bowl upon the sun. And power was given unto him to scorch men with fire, and men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues, and they did not change your mind to give him glory.

There is apparently a time coming when the sun will become extremely hot. Also, the Bible tells us it will become extremely bright. Then you will notice, under the fifth plague here in Revelation 16, and the fifth angel poured on his vial upon the seat of the Antichrist, and his Kingdom was full of darkness, and they gnawed their tongues for pain, and blessed him, the God of Heaven, because of their pain and their sores, and they did not change their mind concerning their deeds.

Interestingly, here the Bible talks about a period of extreme heat, extreme light, and then a period of extreme darkness. And guess what? Astronomers tell us about a phenomenon in the universe where a star, like our son, would go through what is called a Nova experience. Not a supernova where it will be destroyed and is just explodes. But a note of experience is where a sun apparently regenerates itself and goes through a period of about two weeks of extreme heat and brightness.

And then all of a sudden goes through a two week period of about two weeks of extreme darkness. And it seems like maybe our sun is coming up on such an experience to meet the description here we have in the Bible. We’re talking about global warming today, but it’s being discovered that really it has nothing to do with our pollutants and the atmosphere. It has to do with the sun is getting hotter and it’s getting brighter. They’ve been measuring the luminosity of the sun by measuring the reflection off the planet Uranus.

They say that the luminosity of the sun is becoming brighter and the sun is becoming hotter and they can discover this by looking at what’s happening on the other planets. What’s happening today is our son is getting hotter. Maybe this is a prelude for what’s going to happen after the rapture during the tribulation period when the sun will become hot and scorch men. Let me just share with you from Isaiah chapter 30 an amazing prophecy of the in times that matches up with what we’ve already read and in Isaiah chapter 30 it talks about the in times it talks about the tribulation period coming up as Christ comes back to rule and mane on this earth talks about this judgment that will occur that we’ve mentioned here about the time of the sun becoming hot and scorching people look if you will in Isaiah chapter 30 it says here in verse 20

6. Moreover, the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold as the light of seven days. Interesting, the sun is going to brighten up. It’s going to become so bright that it would be the equivalent of seven days light in one day. And if that happens, the moon which reflects light, as we’ve already talked about, the reflection of the sun’s light would become so bright by the moon that apparently it’s saying here that it would be bright at night from the light of the moon as bright as it would be at noon day on a normal Sunday.

Isn’t that amazing? In other words, the sun is going to brighten up. It’s going to get hot. It’s going to be, I think, maybe going through this nova experience that scientists talk about. And look at what it says here, and again, the relationship between the sun and the moon. The moon being a reflective body, it says more over the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun. And the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, and as the light of seven days when, in that day, when the Lord bindeth up the breed to his people, that’s when God is preparing Israel to receive her King.

When Jesus comes back at the end of the seven years tribulation, this will have been one of the events that will have taken place to bind up that breed to bring the Jewish people back to himself as he will be King of the Jews, ruling over the earth from Jerusalem and being the king of kings and lord of lords bringing peace to the planet earth from one into the other of this great planet. What’s amazing isn’t here the bible talks about a day like that and science seems to imply that this might happen and maybe we’re already seeing the prelude as the luminosity of the sun is increasing.

So far they say about 5% and they say the sun is getting hotter that’s explaining the the global warming that’s happening on the planet here. And apparently, this will also cause other things that will be true during the tribulation period. And I think we’re already seeing weather changes and other things that probably are influenced by the brightness and the heat of the sun coming down here on the planet Earth. Let me go back now to Matthew 24 and look at this amazing passage where here at the very end of the tribulation period, just as Christ comes back, we apparently have gone through the two-week period of extreme heat where men are scorched by the sun and the light is so bright that the moon shining at night will be as bright at night as it is on a sun at day during the daytime.

And it says in verse 29 here of Benthy 24, immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened. So all of a sudden the sun darkens down right after its two-week period of brightness, and the moon shall not give her light. the moon a reflective body, the Bible doesn’t really ever get science wrong and we find here if the sun shuts down, the moon shuts down, it does not give a light. And then it says in verse 30, and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Wow, this is when Jesus returns seven years after the rapture in all of his power and all this glory. You know, the Bible is an amazing book, although not written to be a scientific textbook. Certainly, when it touches on elements that are scientific, it’s right on. Wow, you don’t ever have to apologize for your Bible. You don’t ever have to apologize for believing the Scriptures. This is indeed God’s holy word. And it is never wrong. And it’s certainly not wrong about how a person is saved.

There’s only one way to heaven. That’s Jesus Christ. And unless you trust Him, in Him alone, you’ll never be saved. My heart goes out to so many who are trying to save themselves. Yes, they claim to be Christians, but they are trying to work their way into heaven. When you ask them, what do you think you have to do to be saved? They’ll say, keep the commandments, get water baptized, join the church, live the Christian life. I hear it every day.

And I heard it on our ventures here on our trip. I meet people all the time and I ask them. And they came to be Christian, and yet they’re not trusting Christ to be saved, they’re trusting themselves. And one of the key questions you need to ask is, can you lose your salvation? Because anybody who says that, really… Without even knowing so, is saying that they’re trusting themselves to save themselves because they’re saying that how they live their life from this point right now until they die is what will determine whether they make heaven or not.

And that means works my friend, and if you’re trying to be saved by your works, you will not be saved. The Bible says in Ephesians 2 8, salvation is not a works, lest any man should boast. Boy, we have a world that needs to be reached, and I pray that we have a world that needs to be saved. the Bibleline will have a great influence. I just got back from Nashville. I met a gentleman there who has asked me if he could take my television programs and translate them into Turkey and they want to be my television programs in the Turkey.

Wow, what an open door. And I had so many great adventures and I wish I were with you at live on the year but I thought it was so important for me to go. And I certainly ran into the people I believe that God had be meet with that I didn’t know I was going to meet with but by God earth’s arrangement I was meeting people for the past several days that will help by the line in our quest to be able to reach out further to a world that needs to hear the gospel.

We need your help of course to keep on going and growing without your help we cannot really continue because we’re totally dependent upon our listeners and if you want to help us this month that would be great. We’re not trying to get your money. We want to get the gospel out and we can only pay the radio stations and the other bills associated with this ministry through the generous gifts of our list. Or maybe you’d like to help today.

You can call them and give a gift by credit card. We don’t pay any salaries. I don’t get a salary for being on Bible on. And so your money is really used more efficiently, I think, with Bible on in any other ministry. Why not make an investment today in souls and getting the gospel out to a world that needs to hear it so desperately and we’re excited about that opportunity. And we’re now going to go to the phone lines.

We’ve got people lined up from all over the place and excited about talking to you. If you have a question you can call us at 1-800-576-3771. or look on the internet at our online bookstore, Bibleline Ministries. We’ve got tracks, we’ve got books that will help you evangelize. We’ve got the Scofield Bible, which is probably the greatest reference Bible you can get. And we’ve got numerous other aids and helps that will help you. And we hope that you’ll take advantage.

Give us a call. We’ll send out a resource sheet. And if you want to get to the store, you’ll get to the store. send out a resource sheet and if you want to get that crucifixion week chart call we’ll be glad to send that out. Free of charge. We’re going to go now go to Don and Don is in Clearwater Florida and Don, welcome to Vimaline. Hey, Scott, how are you? Good. Okay. And grips to a phone. I don’t believe women should be deacons at all.

Not the office of beacon now. The word deacon really means table waiter and servant. In the early church in Acts chapter 6 you notice the elected seven men to assist the elders or the apostles in carrying out the physical needs of the church so that the elders or the apostles at that time could be attending to the word of God in prayer and to reach out with the gospel, but a woman might be a tableweight or a helper, but to have the office of D.K.

You don’t see anything like that in Titus chapter 1. And in 1 Timothy chapter 3, you have two chapters that detail the qualities and the requirements of an elder D.K. in there about 20. I have an article I’ve written about that where I list all 20 requirements. And there is no place in there that mentions women being selected as D.K. in the early Okay. So I think it’s wrong. I’m like scripture says, eek and eek and eek and eek.

Yep, and in the word, you know, if you just translated it would be that they were table waiters or servants. They said, but they didn’t have the office. I don’t think the office was a scriptural thing. And obviously if you go to the two chapters, the detailed requirements for becoming an actual eek and as an office in the church, women aren’t mentioned at all. I say, thank you. Alright, you’re sure welcome, Don. What’s an issue today? We have things getting turned around and women are becoming preachers which the Bible tells us in 1 Timothy chapter 2 that women are not to usurp the authority over the men and not to be the teachers of God’s Word but yet we have it everywhere.

We’re now going to go to Gary and Gary is down in Bradenton, Florida and Gary, welcome the Bible and you’re on the end. Good morning, Dr. Lindstrom. Good morning. Welcome home. Thank you. My question today comes from John chapter 2. Am I missing something here? Does Jesus change his mind? Has this time come at that point? Well, let me read it here. His mother, Seth, unto him, this is that’s verse 5. Verse 4, Jesus, Seth, and her woman, what have I to do with me?

My an hour is not yet come. And then verse 5, his mother, Seth, under the servants, whatsoever he’s Seth, and you do it. I don’t know that that’s what’s going on here, but I do think it’s an opportunity where Christ tells us that Jesus, rather than Mary, is not some authority within the church or person to be prayed to or worshiped. And he says, what do I have to do with thee? He never, in his entire ministry, ever calls Jesus his mother.

He always addresses her as woman, which I think anticipates the problem that would develop down through time where now people pray to and adore and worship Mary. And then notice also Mary’s response, which I think is equally powerful. Mary says to the servants whatsoever, he says, do it. So she didn’t claim any powers, and she was not the one who was instructing people what to do. But she was saying whatever Jesus says, that’s it. So he obviously is God in flesh and he was the one that was to be listened to, not to her.

And I think it was maybe an opportunity here for a point of clarification right from the very beginning that Mary had no special powers, was not an intermediary. She was not to be prayed to. She was not the one to make decisions or order decisions to be carried out, but she simply points to Christ as the one to do it. And I think that’s probably the main focus there. Very much, very good. You’re welcome. And thank you, Gary, for calling in.

And we’re now going to go to Joanne. And Joanne is in Palm Harbor. And Joanne, welcome to I-1. You’re on the air. Hello. Is there a verse in the Bible that says we have enough warning for God or something? a longing for God like we have in us that he put there wanting us to accept him? Well you know the Bible tells us for example the whole book of Ecclesiastes tells us all of our searching in all the areas of life in order to be satisfied.

We’ll never be satisfied until we find the Lord and you get to chapter 12 of the book of Ecclesiastes and it tells us that we really need to shortcut that and actually seek and find the Lord. But the Lord is of course seeking us and yes, as a believer, we have been sought out by the Lord long before we ever came to know him as our Savior. The Holy Spirit is convicting every man of sin, righteousness and judgment and I like Luke 19, 10, where Christ said the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which has lost.

So he’s seeking us, and there is an emptiness, a desire that needs to be filled. There’s another verse that really says that pretty totally, but I’m trying to think of where that reference is right now. Maybe it’ll come to me a little bit later. But if you check out Ezekiel 12, it kind of sums up everything. And it says, remember now by Creator in the days of our youth, while the evil days come not know the years drawn I when thou shalt say I have no pleasure in them in saying seek Lord while you’re young and why you can find him because if you wait too long you may not be able to find the Lord at all.

Okay. Thank you very much. You’re welcome and want to say hi and bye to Miami Miami Florida. We’re on the air down there on WMCU, Canadian on the dial and we sign off a little bit early but we’re glad to be on board with you. Thanks for tuning in to my blind. Again, we need your help down there in Miami to keep going and growing. And if you could help the Bible, I’m calling and give you a gift by credit card.

We are now still here on, I’ve got a call from Miami, so we’re going to go right to Burt in Miami, Florida right now, Burt, welcome to Bibleline. Hey, good morning, Pastor Hank. Good morning. Yes, sir. I wanted to ask you, how do they determine when we celebrate the Resurrection Day, Resurrection Sunday they came up with March 23rd. How does that come about? I think it all has to do with government politics today. They said it so it comes at the same time every year on our calendar.

But really, typically it would go by the Jewish calendar in the lunar month and it really would occur a couple of weeks later on that Jewish calendar sometime in April I think is when the Passover will be. But sometimes it lines up exactly. I think it’s like… They do the same thing for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They want it to be a scheduled date every year so that I guess it always occurs at the same time. So they don’t bother with a lunar calendar anymore.

But we’re going to observe it the next two weeks here. But technically, the Passover is when the Christ was crucified and he rose on that Sunday following the Passover. So that’s really coming up in April. So maybe we ought to celebrate twice. Alright, great, that felt great. Thanks a lot, Patrick. You’re really welcome and thank you for calling in from Miami, Florida, Burnt Down in Miami. We are coming up on the end of the first half hour of our broadcast, but we’ll come back and do a second half hour.

I’ve been traveling to Israel for a couple of weeks. I just got back from Nashville for the National Religious Broadcasters where I met a gentleman who wants to take our television programs and translate them into Turkish and broadcast them in the turkey and that among many other things that happened in the past couple of days was an exciting leap forward for Bible and pray for us. If you want to help Bible and you can call and give a gift by credit card.

Call and ask for that crucifixion week chart that’s free. We’ll send it out or a resource sheet for our bookstore and we hope that you’ll keep listening and we’ll be back again of course in another few minutes. Go away, Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right, I’m not drinking this from it. It’s wonderful to be able to be back with you. Talking to you live again. We haven’t had live callers now for, I guess, about 18 days or so.

So that’s been interesting. And we’re glad that we were able to bring our programs to you while we were in Israel. and share with you some of our journeys. We’re excited about that trip. We had such a wonderful time. We want to go again. We had five people last night say, when are we going again? They want to go. They haven’t been, but they want to go. So we’re talking about that. We would like to get your name. We would like to get what your comments might be as to when you’d like to go and what you are looking forward to.

And we’ll kind of tailor the trip to meet your expectations. But we definitely want to go and we might add another country, what might be Egypt. It may be time to go to see the pyramids, it may be the Valley of the Kings and the tombs of the Pharaohs, or maybe you’d like to go to Petra where the Jewish people will flee the wrath of the Antichrist after the rapture during the tribulation, or maybe you’d like to go to Greece and see where Paul preached and how the gospel took root in Greece 2000 years ago.

It’ll be a marvelous trip no matter what we do, but we hope that you’ll give us your input and you will definitely influence us, so call us. Get your name on the list as interested, and maybe we’ll have the trip of your dreams all planned because you gave your input. Give us a call 1-800-576-3771. Also, this Sunday is, of course, our third Sunday, and it’ll be Palm Sunday. So you will probably want to catch the Sunday message. If you’re not in driving distance, you can, of course, catch that by going to the Internet site BibleLineMinistries.org.

Click on the camera at 11 a.m. Sunday morning. You’ll get the live worship service right there on your computer and your home or wherever you might be on the planet Earth. And of course, we invite you to join us. And if you can’t do it during the worship service because you’re in your own church, you can certainly go there throughout the week. We have our sermons there for a whole year so you can go back and catch any of them for the past one year and we hope that you’ll do that as well.

I’m Dr. Englund-Serman. We’re having fun being back and this is our first day back from all this traveling and we’re glad to be able to talk to some of you on the air today. Give us a call. We’re going to now go back and rejoin the stations that have been on break through the second half hour by a blind and we hope that you’ll stay with us for the next half hour and keep you ready to tune in. If not, go back and you can catch it on the internet later today, BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the spinning globe and you’ll get the radio programs for the past two years.

That’s right, plenty in there for you to listen to. Alright, we’re going to rejoin the stations and so hold on to your radio, don’t let it change its style and we’ll be right back. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. Pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is my blind screen. To be with you, it’s exciting.

We’ve been traveling a lot. We went to Israel and we’re gone 14 days on that and I just took off and flew up to Nashville for the National Religious Broadcasters. I met lots of friends. I met lots of people, everybody in the industry seems to gravitate to this and it’s a great time of fellowship and learning from others that are doing the same thing. I got to see in person guys like Charles Stanley, Erwood Lutzer, and numerous other broadcasters that are just walking around on the floor of the convention center and met with lots of people that gave me ideas for Bibleline.

One of the exciting things was that we met a guy who is bringing the gospel to Turkey and they want to take my TV programs, translate them into Turkey and broadcast those television programs into Turkey. Very exciting and that’s probably going to come to pass in the very near future. So pray for my blind as we continue to grow and reach out and God opens doors of opportunity for us. And of course we’re excited about you being partners with us to accomplish that because you’re the ones who make it all possible.

Sunday is our third Sunday which is always a special Sunday. We always have a dinner and if you’re driving distance you’re invited to come and join us. Come at 1030, bring your family, your Bible, your appetite. Stay for the lunch, dinner, afterward lots of great home cooked food and a great time of food and fellowship and I would love to have you. If you want to come earlier at 915 you can join my adult Bible class and certainly we’ll be having a great time on this Sunday which is Palm Sunday.

That’s an exciting thing in itself. And we were in Israel just a couple of weeks ago actually walked down the very same path that Jesus walked on Palm Sunday. We’ll be talking about that. I’d love to have you come in person, but if you live in another city, you can go and catch that service on the internet. If you go at 11 o’clock Sunday morning to our website, Bibleline Ministries, You’ll be connected to our live worship service, but if not, you can get it all throughout the weekend for the next year.

We’ll keep it sitting there for you for your convenience, but we have lots of folks that are watching it live. You know, we have people from all over the world that are getting Bibleline and watching our television programs, listening to our radio programs. I was in Nashville and we had a review of the stats as they pulled them up for me, and we up for me and we are reaching everywhere from Australia to India to Malaysia to all over Europe and to the Middle East and it’s incredible to discover that we can actually learn about where people are tuning in to Bible and from on their internet.

It truly is the worldwide web and that’s not only just the television but also the radio from all over the world and we’re getting corresponded by email from countries around the world where people are benefiting from Bible and pray for us. We need your help to keep going and growing and your gift to Bible and will help us do that. You could call right now and give a gift and I’m telling you that we could use your help. We really could because we are totally list or supported and we’re not really trying to get your money.

salary so this money really goes right into the ministry and we need your help to be able to continue doing what we’re doing and grow out further and we could use your help right now and if you want to call you could call right now as we do this show you can call and talk to our operators and they’ll be glad to take your gift by credit card or send you an envelope with our address on it and you can mail that gift or you can give on our online bookstore on our website which is a secure site by going to Bibleline Ministries and BibleLineMinistries.org and click on the online bookstore you can give from there.

We’re now going to go to Dave in Plant City and Dave, welcome to Bible Inure on the air. Have you back? Well, thank you very much. Good to be back. Yes, sir. I’ve got two quick questions. Could you explain why when Peter denied G.M. for Giveable Sam and could you give us the call letters for the Miami station? Alright, that mining station is WMCU 1080 on the dial and I believe we have a page on television on our website, a page on radio on our website that lists the different stations and the coal letters and times of broadcast which most of them are live with us here.

The Bible is not the name of the Bible. Jesus, of course, told Peter that he would have died three times. The unpardonable sin is to reject Christ as your Savior. John 3, 18, certainly spells it out. Jesus said that He, the believer on me, is not condemned. But he to believe if not has condemned already because he hath not believed on the name of the only being the Son of God. So unbelief is the unpardonable sin. And we are talking about a Christian life event here where Peter as a believer who was already saved, never in danger of losing his salvation, Peter denied the Lord and Christians can do that.

You can be afraid of what people might think of you or for whatever, keep your mouth shut Or maybe even deny that you know the Lord, but that will not send you to help. It’s actually to reject Him as your Savior. Peter was already saved and in John 637, Jesus makes that wonderful promise. Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. What if you deny Christ? Too bad. Once you get saved, your Savior ever in Christ says in John 637, write it down.

John 637, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. So Dave you can never be lost once you become saved and that is certainly good news and and I hope you’ll pass that Station identification on your friends in Miami so they can listen We’re gonna go to Ralph now and Ralph is in St. Petersburg and Ralph welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Good morning. Good morning. I want to know How the name or word of Easter Came to be associated with the Resurrections Sunday Alright, that’s very easy.

Actually the word Easter has been around since Genesis chapter 10. It’s actually the name of the mother of Baal, the counterfeit system of Christianity that Satan has always presented. The mother of Baal was named Astaroth. If you cancel the last three letters it’s just Ashtar, the English form is Estar, and her son was Baal. The fourth century when Constantine declared the world to be Christian then the pagan observance of Easter or Astra often or Sun bale that worship continued, but now all of a sudden the names changed and now it’s Jesus and of course the mother is Mary Under that system, but it’s the same system and it’s unfortunately that We don’t even realize what we’re doing when we say to celebrate Easter.

I don’t celebrate Easter, that’s the mother of Dale, but I do celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. In Satan, it’s pretty clever. And he knew the Bible better than many of us have ever known. He’s had thousands of years to study it. And he knew approximately the time of the death of the birth of the resurrection of Christ. And so he obviously came up with a counterfeit. And Dale supposedly died. He was supposedly resurrected. And Easter, which is the mother They are all celebrated at the same time we are celebrating the resurrection of Christ.

So it is a counterfeit system but the real thing is still true and Jesus did come back from the dead and obviously he is alive forevermore. Hope that helps a little bit but that is the origin that comes right out of Genesis 10 and Satan’s counterfeit of Christ. Very good. Thank you very much. Alright, we have a book by the way in our bookstore here called Two Babylons, which will trace that thing right down to this present hour. Well documented.

It’s a powerful book that shows and traces the ancient Babylonian religious system, which is the worship of Astra, of her son, Baal, all the way down to this present hour. You might want to get that and it just called order it and we can ship it out to you. We don’t have, let’s see here, Adam, Adam is been patiently waiting and he’s in Tampa, Florida. Adam, welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. My question comes from John 10. It’s in verse 25 and they say, Jesus, if you’re the Christ, why do you keep the spends in the Telus plainly?

And he says in verse 26, you believe not because you are not part of my flock. That kind of thing, excuse me. We become part of the flock when we believe. So it kind of seems like predestination type of thing. I understand what you’re saying there, but it really… really he’s saying here that they refused to believe him and obviously because they did refuse to believe they were not part of his flock or his sheep. And then he tells us how the sheep become sheep because the sheep hear his voice.

The one who is not his sheep are those who hear it and reject it, which is what they did. So the choices is man’s and they were not cheap because they did not believe. So it wasn’t that they could and it’s just that they wouldn’t right exactly Okay, another if I can ask a quick question or and it’s in the verse Describing or Jesus is describing the beginning of God Exactly, that’s not really translated Well, the Jehovah’s Witnesses jump all over that as a proof that Christ is a created being but it should read He’s the beginner of the creation of God that he is the creator himself himself.

So he is not the beginning of the creation, but he is the beginner of the creation. And you’ll see that in John chapter 1 where it says in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with why God, the Word was God, and then it says all things that were created were created by him. And so Christ is the Creator. It’s just poorly translated and that’s the problem. Okay, thank you very much. You’re very welcome and Adam, thank you for that question.

And don’t let the Jehovah’s witnesses take that and confuse you as to the deity of Christ. They try to say that he is a created being and not God, and that he’s Michael the Archangel and obviously terribly wrong. As a result, the witnesses are lost and they really need our prayers. He don’t want to study with them. I hope anybody who is would stop immediately. We’re going to Marlene in Tampa, Florida. Marlene, welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. Pastor, I was wondering if you could tell me about Matthew 2514.

If you could give me your thoughts about that, I’m going to go ahead and hang up and listen to what you have to say. All right. And we’ll turn right now to Matthew 2514. And this is, of course, talking about the tribulation period and is talking about the seven years between the Rapture and the Second Coming and here he leaves three different men, different talents or amount of money to invest and it turns out that the first two are saved and the last one was not saved.

Then again, because they are called servants, don’t conclude that they’re all saved. Christ here is referred to as the king and he comes back as a king over the earth and everybody on the earth is his subject whether they are saved or lost. But I think it’s interesting if you read very carefully verse 21 he says well done about good and faithful servant. You cannot be called good unless you’ve been saved. Romans 3 12 says there’s none that doeth good no not one.

So as an unsafe person you are not good but when you trust Christ the righteousness or goodness of God is credited to your account. Romans 4 and 5, let me give you this as a good cross-reference that says to the one who does not work, but believes on Christ who justifies the ungodly. His faith in Christ is counted for righteousness or goodness. So when you trust Christ, you become good or righteous in God’s sight. So the first fellow and the second fellow, verse 21 and 23, are both called good.

Even down in verse 26 when it talks about the third fellow here, he calls him wicked. Now according to the Bible, anybody that has not yet trusted Christ is considered wicked in God’s sight. The wicked are the unsaved and they might be very nice people. They might be very nice neighbors. They may never have even gotten a traffic ticket. But the Bible says because our righteousness is so far removed from the righteousness of God that anybody without Christ in his righteousness credited their account is considered by God as wicked.

So here’s a man who’s unsaved and he is cast out in the outer darkness which means he goes to hell because he never was a believer. The other ingredient here is of course that works do play a part for believers and unbelievers alike and the first two were not only good or saved, they were believers but they were also faithful as a result never rewarded with ruling power in the future in Christ’s Kingdom during the millennium. The last guy noticed was mentioned as not only being lost as wicked but he was also mentioned as being slothful.

So he would receive a degree of punishment in hell based upon his slothfulness. But yet he would be lost because he was not a believer. I sure hope that helps Marlene and thank you for that call and we’re going to go on to our next call. Now that is James in St. Petersburg and James. Welcome to Bibleline your own there. there good morning dot it seems like at least once a week you have not more often of women speaking in the church’s comes up And I’m afraid that the doctrine of women being silent in the churches has been abused and misused for lack of understanding of the scriptures.

And I would direct you to 1 Corinthians 14, chapter 34, or verse 34. And if you’ll turn there, then we’ll read or you can read that. when we keep silence of the churches absolutely that’s what it says but that’s not the people that corian but if we will continue to lead that this is nor is it permitted unto them to speak but they are commanded to speak under obedience at all second time or any time that paul has ever tried to keep anybody What scripture is he quoting from the law that says this?

It’s not there. And I think what you’re talking about here, 1 Corinthians 14 is talking about tongues, the women and not to speak in tongues in the church, which obviously if that happened today and we’re enforced, the whole tongues movement would cease in a heartbeat. But the real passage you want to go to where it talks about actually preaching is 1 Timothy chapter 2 and look at what it says there and there’s nothing about the law there at all.

In 1 Timothy 2, if you’ll notice what it says, it says that the women were not to speak out in church at all. Look if you will, in 1 Timothy 2, it says in verse, trying to find the page number right here, it says verse 11, let the women learn in silence with all subjection. And this is talking now to young Timothy, one of the pastoral epistles. And this is the order of structure within the church. I suffer not a woman to teach, nor do you serve authority over the man, but to be what?

In silence. There’s nothing here about the law. This is simply New Testament instruction for the early church. This is a pastoral epistle. And Paul is telling the young Timothy how the order in the church ought to be. Now women can speak by permission, and if under the authority of the leadership of the church or invited to give testimony or sing, certainly they can. they were not the usurped authority of a man and to take leadership upon themselves. So James, the one in Corinth, he just doesn’t really fit.

Thank you so much for your call. We’re now going to Brad in Clearwater. Brad, you are on the air. Good morning, Pastor Lindstrom. Good morning. I overheard somebody from a business yesterday and they were telling the person they were They were talking to that Hagar was not saying that she was following the after titles. So I wanted to call and get your viewpoint on that. So. So I’ll hang up and listen by radio. Okay. The Lamb’s Book of Life.

I have a feeling that Hagar did get saved, but I can’t prove or disprove that on her part. But definitely she was the mother of a whole race of people, which are the modern-day Islam, which have rejected the gospel and are lost. So maybe that’s the way they would kind of read that backwards into it. I don’t think so. God spoke to her directly and told her that he would bless her and she would be the mother of many nations and I think they’re around today and he describes what they would be like and they were to be a rebellious people and certainly have rejected the truth of the word of God.

of God. Thank you, Brad. I don’t know that I have a good answer on that. I’ll try to look at Hagar Fresh here. We have Matthew in Spring Hill, Florida. Matthew, welcome. Let’s see here. Matthew, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. We are not. Thanks. Good to hear that you’re back. Thank you. I have a question, I was wondering if you could clear up 1 John 2 verse 4 for me. Sure, you know John 1 John has written two believers in the family of God and he’s talking about fellowship with him.

with the Lord and living with the Lord as a believer. He tries to expose to us inconsistencies with what we say and what we do. He says in verse 4 of chapter 2 in 1 John, he that says, I know him and that speaks about knowing him intimately or walking with the Lord in a close intimate way. And keep it not as commandments is a liar, the truth is not in him. So he’s saying here, if you’re telling somebody that you’re walking with the Lord and you’re not keeping his commandments, the Bible says that you’re a liar.

Because earlier in chapter 1, notice he tells us who is in fellowship with the Lord. says, if we walk in the light, verse 7 of chapter 1, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ continues to cleanse us from all sin, which has to do with our walk and our Christian fellowship with the Lord. Our relationship, of course, is eternal when you trust Christ, you’re saved eternally, but here’s talking about our walk in it.

This has about five different things that John brings up to expose the inconsistencies between our speech and what we’re actually doing. So it doesn’t say you’re not saved, it says you’re simply a liar. So if I were to say I’m really walking tightly with the Lord and fellowshipping with Him every day and I’m not keeping His commandments, then I’m a liar. Okay. I know that John Fox in verse 19 is the same chapter that they went out from us, but they weren’t out of us.

People that sort of leave the doctrine of Christ like them. That means that they knew it. They know what the gospel is to begin with. They know it’s by… Yeah, they did. Departed from the doctrine. Well, I think you could be saved and become a past. They’ve been more likely they’ve never really embraced it. You know, they were taught in it. And I think this happens where you raise maybe in a Christian home or a Christian church or a very good sound doctrine, but you just don’t buy into it, don’t believe it, and you walk away from that doctrine.

And I think the cults are all that way. They’ve not only walked away from it, but they’ve led tons of people like Ellen G. White. I mean obviously she claims to be Christian but yet her doctrines are not Christians, she doesn’t believe in hell and doesn’t believe in salvation by grace alone and believes some other really crazy doctrines which all of her followers who read her books to interpret the Bible with have been led astray. So that’s on a prostate church and it’s sort of with one apostate woman who obviously rejected the truth of God’s word and has led a whole group of people along that path.

The Joe’s Witnesses the same way and the Mormons, obviously Brigham Young has led a ton of people away from the truth and they’ve departed from the although they claim to be Christian in one breath. They’re not even close to being Christian. So what about people that, you know, they trust Christ but then they’re taught their salvation uh… they just being deceived or i mean i think that’s more of a i think it’s more of a deception but they if they don’t go back and check out what they believe against the scriptures uh…

they may live in that deception rest of the life and it robs them of other joy and the rewards and so on if you read that second korean-13-5 it says examine yourself whether you be in the faith and the phrase the faith occurs forty three times in the new testament and You need to be in the Bible to see whether you’re consistently walking in the light of God’s Word and if you’re walking in the face, the body of truth contains God’s Word, or whether you’ve departed.

So it’s a constant challenge to make sure that we don’t drift and we don’t slide off the path. And Hebrews talks about drifting away and sliding away from good doctrine, which we have to keep going back and forth. every christmas day in the bible all the time to stay true stay on target that’s great okay i just one last little comment i just want to say i love the note in the stofield about uh… The parable of the Levin and how he says that Levin is always evil doctrine.

I think that’s so true in today’s one little thing that I’ve been having. So I think that’s definitely what’s going on here. Absolutely. Thanks a lot, Matthew, and I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom.
