We’re also on the air in the local area. Take advantage and give us a listen over the weekend as well. And we are glad to be with you today. If you have your Bible, you might want to get it out and we’ll take a look at a couple of verses. You know, it’s interesting that people don’t think that terminology apparently is very important. And if you could take a look at some verses with me, I think you’ll find that the Bible tells us that it’s very, very important.
And if you turn to 1 Corinthians 1, In verse 17, we find that Paul says that I was sent to preach the gospel, 1 Corinthians 1, 17, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. None effect. None effect. I know that some people use phrases and they think that they are going to be helpful or lead people to Christ. But some people say, ask Jesus. ask Jesus in your heart or invite Jesus into your life and that’s not the gospel.
And with wisdom of words, you can make the cross of none effect. I was raised with that and I was lost and it wasn’t until I finally heard it 18 that you have to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior that I finally got saved. What is so interesting is that we are not saved by asking, we are saved by trusting. When you go to the passage in Luke where you have Jesus on the cross and you have the two thieves crucified with him, both thieves ask to be saved.
So what did we learn from that? We learned that you can ask and not be saved. only the one that trusted Christ was saved. So you can ask Christ all of your life to save you and you’ll not be saved. I could get up every morning and say, God save me. Close my day out in the evenings and say, God save me. Lord, I’m asking you to save me. Please save me. Lord, save me. Save me. Save me. And if you don’t trust in the death and shed blood of Christ and his burial and resurrection, you will not be saved.
Romans 1 16 says, I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For if the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believe it, that is, would trust. You must trust the gospel message. The gospel message is the message that is the power of God unto salvation. Unless you trust in the death of the burial and resurrection of Christ, you will not be saved. And you You have to trust on Christ to be safe, asking Him to come into your life or promising to give Him your life.
None of those things will save and the devil is so clever that he actually makes the Christian of no effect in his witness by changing the words to maybe sound nice or palatable but we’re not saved that way. It says here, I am sent to preach the gospel of 1 Corinthians 1 17, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. That means zero. Over in the book of Galatians it talks about how that if we change or alter the word of God at all it becomes an accursed message.
In Galatians 1 he talks about how there were those in the churches of Galatia that altered the plan of salvation a little bit. And when they did, we find that they were actually preaching then it says here, another gospel, not the gospel of grace, but grace plus some works. And so he says in verse 7 of Galatians 1 that this is not the same gospel, it’s another. And there would be some that would trouble you and would pervert the Gospel of Christ.
So here’s the true Gospel perverted by using other terms or terminology that would add to or subtract from what Christ says in the Scriptures. In verse 8 it says, though we or an angel from heaven preach any other Gospel unto you, then that which we have preached unto you, let him be what? A cursed. So it says here, if you preach another gospel, then obviously you’re going to be a curse, and the one hearing it is not going to be saved, and obviously you’re in trouble with God.
Verse 9 says, as we said before, so now I say again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you, then that which you have received, let him be a curse. Very, very powerful message. So if you alter it or change it in any way, it no longer is the gospel. Amazing isn’t it? You could go to a car dealership and say, I’d like to have that car. Would you give me that car? I really want that car very badly.
I want that car. Would you give me that car? Well guess what? Unless you pay for the car, you don’t get the car to you. You don’t get it unless you pay for it. Well obviously you can ask God to save you, but unless you trust in the payment that Christ made for your sins, you’re not going to get salvation. See you can ask till you’re blue in your face. I can walk through every car lot in town and every car dealership and say, give me that car.
I’d like that car. Would you give me that car? And there’s no dealership I know of that’s going to give me that car unless you pay for the car. And obviously you must pay the payment for salvation in order to be saved. Of course, if you paid for it, it would be hell, but Christ has made that payment, and unless you trust in the payment that He made for you, you will not be saved. That’s what the gospel message is all about.
It says, I’m not ashamed of the gospel. The gospel is the good news message of the death of the burial resurrection of Christ, and unless you believe that Christ died and shed His blood to pay for your sin, that it was buried in rose again from the dead, you will not be saved. And I’m saying this because I believe it’s the difference between something being saved or lost. Some people try to say, well, it’s in the Bible, isn’t it?
I say, no. They say, well, what about Revelation 3? 20. There it says, behold, I stand at the door and knock and they say, well, isn’t that Christ wanting you to invite Him to come into your heart or into your life? The answer is no. If you read the context of Revelation chapter 3, Jesus is talking to the church at Laodicea and this was an affluent church that really left Christ out of their fellowship. Christ is saying, behold, I stand at the door of your church and I’m knocking.
Anybody who will open the door of the church, I will come in and I’ll have supper with you or I’ll fellowship with you. It’s not a salvation verse. It’s not talking about the door of your heart. It’s not talking about the door of your life. It’s talking about the door of the land to see in church. Read the context. And he says he’s standing at the door, knocking, and that if they would only open the door, he would come in and stop.
That means he’d have dinner with him, supper with him. That spoke of fellowship. You know, in those days, everybody would gather around the dinner together, and it was a time of conversation. Even when Jesus had the last supper, they were reclining, they were talking, and a lot of conversation took place that night. If you read John’s Gospel, chapter 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, all took place the night of the betrayal. A lot of conversation, a lot of teaching took place, and we find that when you are wanting to have fellowship with the Lord, he’s willing to sit down and have fellowship with you.
And that’s what Revelation 3 20 is talking about. But so many tracks, so many preachers use this as a gospel invitation to the lost to become saved. And it’s a perverted message, it’s a false message because you’re not saved by inviting Christ into your heart or life. You’re saved when you trust TRUSD, TRUSD Trust in the death of the resurrection of Christ. It’s through the blood of Christ that we’re saved. And when you trust Christ as the only hope or means of your salvation, then God saves us.
You know, it tells us in the Colossians chapter 1 that when we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior, when we believe the gospel message, it says in verse 13 that He delivers us from the power of darkness and translates that into the kingdom of his dear son. Verse 14, in whom, that is, his dear son, Jesus, we have redemption through his blood, through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. The devil is covered today, and he wants us to bypass the blood, bypass the cross, and not recognize that you have to trust in his death and shed blood as the means of your redemption.
It’s a book of the blood. The Bible says in Revelation 1-5, under him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. It was the blood of Christ that washed away our sin. And unless you trust in Christ’s death and shed blood, you will not be saved. Wherever you look, the Bible is clear to teach that his blood was the means by which we are redeemed. So when you trust in his blood, and it was shed for you, then you are saved.
Let me read Romans 5-8. It says, God commended his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Verse 9 says, much more than being now justified by his blood, by his blood, by his blood, we shall be raised. He was saved rather from wrath through him. So it’s through his blood that we are redeemed and only through the blood of Christ can you have your sins washed away. The hymn writer got it right.
What can wash away my sins? The answer being nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Today we bypass the blood. We bypass the blood. And we just say invite Jesus into your heart. Well guess what? I did that for the first 18 years of my life. my life every Sunday. I invited Christ into my heart. I was never saved. It wasn’t until I was 18 that I realized that this was wrong when I heard the gospel explained that I had the trust that Jesus died for me and shed his blood for me on the cross and then was buried in rose again from the dead and that if I would trust that he made that payment for my sin that then that payment would count for me and I would be saved and I would have eternal life.
But if you bypass the death of shed blood, the burial of the resurrection of Christ my friend, you cannot be saved. And yet many, many tracts. If you look at the tracts that are out there, 90% of them are wrong. And you usually see that in the last paragraph, it might be a wonderful tract until you get the actual prayer or invitation where it changes it to a false gospel and the Bible says in Galatians 1, 8 and 9 that we just read, then it becomes an accursed message and there actually comes a curse on the one who delivers that cursed message because as soon as you pervert the true gospel of Christ by adding some other condition for salvation it’s perverted and accursed and God obviously tells us that the Gospel of Christ is made of none effect, none effect.
I heard the false Gospel for 18 years until I finally trusted in the death of the burial of the resurrection of Christ as the means of my salvation. ProsecutChelbuquerque Mahjong Canucks ()) bishop. We are going to get our callers right now . If you have your phone there calls at 1-800-576-3771. And we definitely will try to take your call. We have a couple of affairs here. We have Steve in Largo, Florida. He says, explain Matthew 7, 13, and 14.
In Matthew 7, Jesus is talking here about false teachers, and he tells us that narrow is the way that leads unto life, is the way that leads to destruction. And he tells us that you find the narrow way, but many try to enter through the broad way and will actually go to hell. And what he’s saying in there is that Jesus is exclusively the only way to heaven. Narrow means there’s only one way, and you have to goAdds through that one way which is Jesus to go to heaven, And there are many ways to go to hell.
Now, O for a Winfrey right now is teaching that there are many ways to go to heaven. That is the broad way, the popular way, and most people are going to try those many different ways. And guess what? They’re not going to be able to enter heaven. Christ said in John 14, 6, I am the way, the truth and the life, and no man cometh under the Father by me. Now what is so sad is that the NIV translation, the New King James translation and numerous other ones, changed the word narrow and translated hard.
That’s a totally different concept and it’s not hard, it’s narrow. Narrow means that there’s only one way Christ is exclusively the way to heaven. I’ve had people over the years tell me, boy you’re narrow minded. You mean that only those thatDrag us Christ will go to heaven and all those in the world that don’t trust Christ and believe in some other way are going to go to hell? Well, yeah, that’s what the Bible says. And if you want to call me narrow-minded, then go ahead.
I didn’t write the Bible. I’m just telling you what the Bible says. And so it is narrow. But it isn’t hard because Jesus made it easy. Jesus paid the penalty for your sin. And if you’d only trust Him, you would be saved. But unfortunately most people are trying another way to have an other than Christ alone and they will not be saved. Well, I hope that answers the question for you. That was Steve in Largo, Florida. We have Ryan in Tampa, Florida.
He calls in Job. Where does it say that God will keep you alive through sickness and disease in order for you to hear the Gospel? That’s in Job chapter 33. And there God tells us that a person who is seeking… God will keep them alive until they hear the gospel and God will bring a messenger to them that will tell them about how they can be saved. And so if you’re a seeking person, God guarantees that you’ll find him.
I love Jeremiah 29 verse 13 where it says, and you shall seek me and find me when you shall search for me with all your heart. Obviously we ought to recognize we have to sit in order and if we do God will see that the message will get to us either we will bump into a witnessing Christian or a witnessing Christian will bump into us but God will arrange a meeting with somebody who will share the gospel with you.
We’re now going to go to Floyd in New River Florida and Floyd welcome to my line you’re on the air. How you doing, Pastor? Good. I would list you five years, you stand in front of them and what you believe, huh? Absolutely. I will for the next eternity. Listen, New Christian or Susan or whatever, who not that knowledgeable, the Bible and stuff. And I know everybody want to get deep in God’s words and stuff like that there. But you’ll basically know a lot of things about the Bible and stuff like that there.
But in Revelation 3, 20, Jesus comes into the door, not. You were right about that. That was speaking of a church and things of revelation is like a popular literature. Speaking of trying one thing, but meaning something else. And you could basically say the same thing about Jesus coming to you, how this whole. He dwells inside you, his spirit dwells in you, and his spirit out of the beach somewhere. you know what i’m saying so uh… i don’t think we should be filled with it i don’t think that’s a uh…
something we can save all souls and stuff like that and try to keep up with people from stealing and killing and stuff like that to know when this or are you extremely determined translation until sad project or i want to show you what i think that that you’re missing it the point here uh… i was in a church that did that and i was lost i would have gone to hell If I had not had somebody intercept my course and tell me that that was not how you get saved.
You are saved when you trust in the death and shed blood of Christ. And that is not what I was taught. I was taught that I had to invite Christ into my harder life. Now Christ does come in a dwellable labor, but it’s a consequence of our salvation. In other words, you are getting it twisted around where you think that maybe you can ask for a consequence and be saved. But when we trust Christ, then I have a sheet that I’ve written an article and I’ve written 39 things that happen at the moment you believe.
At the moment you believe one of those things is that Christ does come into your body and yes he does live in you. And there are more than 39 things that happen, but there are consequences. You could ask for a consequence and not be safe. For example, one of the consequences of salvation is that you won’t go to hell. So you can ask God all day long. I don’t want to go to hell, please don’t send me to hell, please.
God, don’t let me ever go to hell. And you can do that all your life and go to hell. Because unless you trust Christ, you will not get the consequence of trusting Christ and not go to hell. You can say to God, I want to go to heaven. That’s a consequence of salvation. I want to go to heaven. I want to go to heaven. I want to go to heaven every day. Lord, I want to go to heaven and say, please Lord, let me go to heaven and you’ll go to hell.
unless you trust Christ and His death and said, blood, you’ll not go to heaven. So this is not a side point. This is a nature point. This is the difference between going to heaven or hell. And it’s very important that a person understand that. Well, Miami, we’re so glad to have you with us down there in South Florida. And I hope you’re enjoying the program. I know we’re getting more and more calls and praise the Lord. And we’re excited about that.
By the way, you can catch our worship service on our internet site, BibleLineMinistries.org. this Sunday and I hope you’ll join us again Monday Live and of course you can catch our radio programs over the weekend on the Internet. Well we’re back to our local callers here and we are excited about the fact that we can explain and make clear what the Bible really does say because the devil is in the business of blinding people so they don’t know how to be saved.
I’m glad you brought this up, Floyd, because most people don’t realize that what we’re talking about here is the difference between what you’re saying or lost. And as I said just a moment ago, if you go to a car dealership and you tell a dealership, give me that car. I’m asking you for that car. I want that car. more. He’s not going to give you the card unless you pay for it. And the same thing is true. And you can ask God for salvation, but unless you trust Christ and the payment that He made for you at the cross, you’re not going to get it.
You’re not going to get salvation. You will go to hell and boy, I sure don’t want people’s blood on my hands. I want to share with them the truth so that when they die, they’ll wind up in heaven and be there with me. And we can be, you know, when a surgeon malpractices the patient dies and not the tragedy. But when we as Christians malpractice, the person goes to hell. That’s far worse. And I think most Christians are malpracticing.
They’re not careful. They don’t see that they have to be skillful like a surgeon and give a correct message out. And then unless they do, the people will perish. Well, we’re at the end of the first half of the program here. We’re going to have to go to break and we’ll come back and we’ll finish. maybe our discussion with Floyd, but we are going to go to break and come back. If you haven’t trusted Jesus alone and you need to do that, by the way, if you can help my blood, we can sure use your help at this time.
You can give a gift by calling it and giving it by credit card over the phone. And why not think about doing that today? And you can also mail that gift in and you can call and ask for an envelope to be sent or get that address from our announcement. I’m going to be right back after the short break. Don’t go away. We’ll do part two in just a minute. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment.
Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right. I’m Dr. Englund from this wonderful to be with you. Thank you so much for tuning in today and being a part of the program. And we will be back Monday live. but you can catch these programs on the internet over the weekend, including our worship service, and you can do it anytime you want to do it, but if you want to catch it live, you can go to BibleLineMinistries.org and you can click on the camera and our worship service will come live on the screen a little after 11 o’clock on Sunday morning, Eastern Standard Time.
We have people from really all over the world that ten in. We had a soldier here in our church visiting a week or so ago and he told us about how when he was in Afghanistan that he and a number of other soldiers, about a dozen of them, would gather around a laptop in the barracks and get on and watch our worship service here in Tampa coming out of the Bible and headquarters and that’s exciting. the fact that we can actually reach out and touch the world by bringing the gospel to them on the internet, our TV programs, our radio programs, and our worship services are available for you.
And I hope you’ll take advantage over the weekend. Also, we have lots of resources that will really help you. Most books I tell you are not worth buying. I have bought a lot of books over my many years of studying and a lot of them I wouldn’t really want to look at them again. They were a waste of my money. And I remember as a brand new believer in college and I had very little money and I go down and buy a book from the Christian bookstore and I found out, oh my goodness, I wasted my money.
And so we try to save you that experience. The things in our resource center are things that I recommend that will be the best of the best so that you won’t waste your money and you’ll get things that are going to really be helpful to you. Paul, please. And we hope that you will get a resource sheet sent out to you or just order directly over the phone or go to our online bookstore on the website and order directly from there.
We decided about being with you every day and we hope that you will continue to listen over the weekend by using the Internet. But if you’re in the Tampa Bay area, of course you can hear seven days a week here in the Tampa Bay area. We are going to go back and now join the stations that have been on break and do the second half hour Bible end. So keep your radio tuned right where it is and get ready for the second half hour.
And we hope that you’ll maybe let your friends know about this program as well. Not only while we’re live, but also on the internet, maybe friends in other places. Here we go. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back when I break in. This is by one of Dr. Anker and Klinestrom and we are excited about being with you and we truly are pleading for the souls of You are listeners and people here in this world that sometimes people here in invitation to get saved and it’s a false message and they are Obviously not aware of it and I’m pleading for their soul because unless you trust in the death of the Maryland resurrection of Christ You will not enter heaven and
I had Followed all of the instructions given to me for the first 18 years of my life in my church And yet I didn’t hear the truth until I was 18 and realized whoa, I was taught wrong And I never knew prior to I was 18 that I had to trust in Jesus Christ God in flesh as my only means of being able to enter heaven and it was through his death and shed blood alone that I could be saved and it was not based on my works or deeds or anything that I would do.
We are going to go to the phone lines. The number is 1-800-576-3771 and we have Dave in Plant City, Florida and Dave, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Good morning. Yes. I know Hebrews one tells us that no son, a dog called no man or no angel or nothing. Son, could you explain to me in Genesis 6-2 what they mean? What they mean by some. Well, absolutely, Dave, and he does call men sons of God. John 1.12 tells us to as many as received Christ, to them God gave or granted authority for them to become the sons of God to those that believe on His name.
So the new birth occurs when you trust Jesus Christ as your only hope of heaven. And there we have the believers of Noah’s Day called the sons of God. And they married unbelieving women that were called the daughters of men. When you have that expression, sons of men or daughters of men, it always refers to unsaved people, people that are in their natural state without Christ that have not been born again. But when you read about the sons of God or daughters of God, it’s talking about those who have been born again and now in God’s family by the new birth.
So what happened there in Genesis chapter 6 and verse 2 is that believers were marrying unbelievers and as a result the gospel was not passed down to the children and the whole world in that day got corrupted and is happening again today in our world as we have people that are marrying unbelievers and obviously when it comes to the children when they come along. They can’t agree and the children generally don’t get any Bible education at all. And we’re raising up a whole generation that are lost today that do not know the Lord.
But it’s true in Hebrews 1 5 God never ever ever called an angel his son. So angels are not the sons of God and it’s talking there about believers and I hope that helps. They all died. Everybody, And there’s nobody around today that’s on the lineage of Cain. They all died. Right. One quick question. When it talks about theft being born, it says, I think Adam lived 130 years and it mentions Cain and Abel and nothing in between there.
Adam had other children in between there. They just didn’t get mentioned. Is that correct? That is correct. That is correct. There was a lot of kids in chapter 5 that tells us they’ve got sons and daughters. But what we have there is the genealogy of Christ and God was going to have the Messiah I think come through Abel. But Satan was able to take and use Cain. The Bible says in 1 John that he was of that wicked one or Satan.
And so Satan had him kill able to prevent the Messiah from coming. And then of course God raised up, wanted to replace him. And so the lineage of Christ goes from Adam to Seth and on down till finally we have Jesus born directly related back to Adam and also back to King David and also of course Abraham. came up the uh… lineage of Abraham and uh… was uh… actually a Jew taking on flesh out of the tribe of Judah.
Not the whole human race, but definitely the Messiah did. That’s why it does. No. Well, I mean for the most part we probably did, but it already uses back to NOAA because NOAA’s world died and everybody on the planet is a direct incentive NOAA. Okay, thank you so much and have a great day. I’m so enlightened. Okay, thank you, Dave and plant City Florida. We now have Victoria in Sarasota Florida. I’m sorry, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.
Hi. I’m sorry, this morning. Good. Well, I’ve recently, I would say it right because I’ve been listening to you. But recently, I accepted the Lord of Must Savior and the preacher and as I’m listening to you, you say that because you confess your sins and repent and believe that Jesus dies when he’s for my sins. I’m not saved if I don’t. I’m kind of confused because you’re saying not a Christian. It depends on what you’re trusting you know if the preacher defines repent as turning from sin and you think that you’re turning from sin save you then you’re not saved or if you are told you have to confess your sins to be saved and you’re saying well I’m saved because I confess my sins, you’re not going to be saved.
It has nothing to do with turning from sin or joining the church or confessing your sin. It has to do with nothing that you would do for God, but it’s what God did for you in Christ. And when you trust Christ and Him alone, then God saves you. So I don’t know if you’ve trusted Christ and Christ alone or not, but if you’re counting on those other things that oftentimes preacher’s saved for you to do, then you’ll not be saved because you’re adding to what the Bible says is required of salvation and that is nothing on our part.
It says it’s not of yourself, Ephesians 2, 8. It’s the gift of God. It’s not of works as the Emancion boasts a break. So if there was one thing that you could do and say, well, boy, I can test my sins. Or I turned from some of my sins. Or I united with the church. Then you can brag about that. But God says there is nothing you can do. It is not of yourself. It is not from yourself. It is not of works.
Let’s say you should boast or brag. It is all of God. When you trust in the finished work of Christ, then God saves you by mercy, by unmerited favor, which grace is the absence of any works or any merit on your part. The hymn writer got it right when he said, Just as I am I come, without one plea, not confession, not turning from sin, not anything we would do. It is the gift of God and when you trust Christ and Christ one then you’re safe.
When you say trust, when you say trust and that he died, what are you… Well the word that’s translated believe in the New Testament is the Greek word pustuo, P-I-S-T-E-U-O and it means to trust or to rely upon or to put your confidence in or to rest your weight upon. It’s just, I don’t know if you’re sitting down right now, but you are, obviously, if you are sitting down, resting your weight upon that chair or that sofa or whatever you’re sitting on and trusting it to keep you from crashing to the floor.
And you just put your confidence in it. And there’s no effort on your part. You just relax and lay your weight down on the chair or on the sofa and it holds you up. When you put your trust in Christ, you just relax and trust and put your confidence in Him is the only means by which you’re going to be saved, then you’re saved. So just trust in him that everything in my life, whatever is going on or what will go on, just trust it to God that not try to be in control of it.
Well as far as salvation is concerned there’s nothing that you can add or do at all. All you have to do is trust Christ as the one who made the complete and final payment for your sin at the cross. When Jesus said on the cross it is finished, that’s indeed what He meant. The payment for your sin was completed, finished, done, and there’s nothing else for you to do but receive it by trusting Christ as your Savior. I have a CD I’d like to send to you that I think will help clarify all this and I’m going to give you back to my operator if you will give him your addressable mail that’s I’ll start you for your charge.
Okay, I appreciate that. I mean, I’m just hearing different, you know, different. Well, you have to hear some preachers and it’s kind of confusing. I know what I want to do with my life. I mean, I want to save, but it’s just, you know, sometimes it’s confusing because you hear many different stories and one preacher told me you can be saved. You can repent your sin, but you’re not saved unless you’re baptized. Another person said, no, if that person has nothing to do with it, I don’t know.
Isn’t it sad, really? Because the Bible is not a good thing. The Bible is very clear though that Ephesians 2 8 9 by grace which means mercy on Meredith favor are you saved through faith in Christ. It says in the next phrase this salvation is not of yourself. It is the gift of God. It’s not of works lest any man should boast or brag. And so when you simply trust Jesus you become saved and it’s that simple. I’m going to give you back to my operator and he’ll get your address and we’ll send this out to you.
Okay, we’re now going to go to Jimmy and Tampa, Florida. Jimmy, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Okay, good morning. A little bit. Good morning. Dr. Rinsfield? Yes. Hi, I have a question about Samson. He was a guy to the post. He had a gun that he might be able to advance. He was a few things with two eyes. Now that act is that an act of suicide as well as vengeance on his enemies? I’m curious about that.
Now then. Well, obviously he brought down the house on himself and on his enemies as well. So yes, he did convince this I’ve been he was still saved and Obviously suicide is not the impartable sin, but certainly God doesn’t want you to take your own life But in this case He was gonna die anyway, but he wanted to in his death Be able tovenge his enemies and so God allowed him to do that So there was a neck suicide.
Yeah, it certainly was Okay, because I see he’s also… Yeah, and he was 11, absolutely. Okay. Can you answer another quick question for me? This is about Moses. Since Moses spoke with God, so God can he be considered also as an apostle commissioned by God to do a work? Well, you could probably say that, but actually the word apostle is a New Testament word, and we have the prophets in the Old Testament, and he was one of the greatest prophets.
But then in the New Testament, we have apostles, and so it’s… You know, the word apostle actually means literally a sent one. Of course Moses was a set one so we could probably apply that but to try to stay with the biblical terms we would stay with probably Moses of profit and then the apostles are those who were those twelve that Christ chose to be the ones to give out the gospel to be the first line of getting it out to the world.
Okay, Dr. Newnish, thank you very much. I’ll say to you Jimmy and that was Jimmy and Tampa Florida calling in. We have some more offer questions and we have John in Tampa, Florida. He says, can you provide me with evidence that dates to the time that Jesus allegedly lived that showed that he even existed at all? Well, John, have you looked at the newspaper today? Obviously the date on there is 2008, 2008 years from what? It’s 2008 years from Jesus Christ.
Obviously that is a confirmation of the fact that he was here. You cannot write a check, John, and have it be a legal document unless you date it and there you give testimony yourself, whether you believe it or not, that Jesus was here 2008 years ago. You cannot buy a house or make up a contract and have it be a legal document unless you give testimony to the fact that Jesus here 2008 years ago. So what evidence do you need?
He obviously, everything in history points back to that event when Christ was here. In all history before Christ is called B.C. or before Christ. in all history since is dated from Christ’s birth and coming into this world. So what more evidence you need? Obviously, he’s impacted the entire world and certainly a mythological character would not have had that impact that we find that Jesus had. Today is 2008 years since Jesus was here, John, wake up. You’ve got plenty of evidence that Christ was here.
In fact, the same as really more evidence that Jesus Christ was here and who he claimed that he was, then there is George Washington was the first president in the United States. I don’t think you’re wrestling with whether George Washington was the first president or not, but abundantly more evidence that Jesus was here and who he claims that he was. Well, we find here that Joe in Pimbroke Pines writes in and gives this off-air question. There are many prison ministries praised gun, but I believe that there are many police and deputies also that need to trust the Lord.
How can I approach them with the gospel? I want to reach them. Well, I think there are different ways you can possibly do that. And of course, we know the police forces have their own chaplains. Maybe you can work toward becoming one, where you counsel with police officers and are able to share with them and minister to them as an official police chaplain. I know I’ve had the opportunity to be asked to do that, but I’ve never had time to do that.
But I think your desire there is wonderful. And obviously these men serve under a lot of stress and go through and see some things that are quite horrific and certainly need the Lord and they need to get saved like everybody else. And so I think that’s a wonderful goal and there are different ways and you might do some more inquiring and I’m sure that there are other means by which you can focus your witness toward law enforcement and try to lead these fellows to Christ.
They certainly need the Lord as their Savior. We have a patsy and ruskin florida and she writes in and says, I have learned so much by listening to your ministry. I would like to know your opinion on the varicip. They are wanting to insert into your forehead or in your right hand. It sounds like a form of the market of the beast or forerunner of it, one of your thoughts. And I think you’re absolutely right, Patsy. This could be it.
And this would allow your buying and selling and everything to be controlled by government. And I think we are living in the end times and this very tip which is manufactured in Florida in West Palm is now getting more publicity and more people are taking this chip now but it really won’t be the official mark of the antichrist or the beast until the middle of the tribulation period. So I hope that helps. We have Dave apparently back on the line from Plant City and Dave, welcome to Bibleline Hello again Dr.
Hank. Could you explain Revelation 1920 and Revelation 2010 to me? I’ve got confused there and it makes it look to me like the beast and the false prophet go in the hell before Satan the way I read it. Could you clarify that for me please? No, hang up. Thanks. Oh, you’re absolutely right. At the end of the seven-year tribulation period, which begins at the rapture, at the end of that Christ comes back and he throws the antichrist and the false prophet into the everlasting lake of fire.
We find then at the end of the millennium that Satan joins them and it says the devil that deceived them in chapter 20 verse 10 was cast into the lake of fire where the beast in a false prophet are. So they are already there. And this is all Satan’s Trinity. If you look at chapter 20 verse 10, you’ll find that you have Satan, you have the beast which is the antichrist, the antichrist, and you have the false prophet which is the antichrist that always is the spirit.
So you have Satan’s Trinity, all in one verse, and there are a number of verses in Revelation that have those three members of the Satanic Trinity, but They are all cast in to help it. The false prophet and the beast are first in. I hope that helps and thank you, Dave, for calling out today. And Dave hung up. Now going to Matthew in spring hill for it. Matthew, welcome to Bibleline your own here. Good morning, pastor. Colossians 123, someone use that as proof for Calvinism.
First appearance of the Saints. Can you talk about that a little bit? All right, we’ll do that. Actually, this is talking about the Christian life, and yes, if you continue in the faith, then you’re going to be found blameless and receive rewards when you stand before the reward, which is what it’s talking about. It’s not talking about whether you’re saved or not. He’s talking about that God wants you to be presented before Him in such a state that He can reward you.
In other words, we’re going to give it a count. for everything we’ve done since we’ve been saved. And if we live faithfully for the Lord and continue, as it says there, then God, when He judges you, will find fault, that will reward you for the service that you’ve given to Him. And that’s what it’s talking about. But if you didn’t serve a Lord, you would still be saved. In 1 Corinthians 3.15, where it talks about the judgment that Colossians is also talking about, The Judge and the Seed of Christ were believers only.
It says, if any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved, yet so has my fire. So we find that even if everything you did was not for Christ and it were all burn up, you’d still be saved. So it doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t be saved. And it doesn’t, of course, support the false doctrine of Calvinism of the Perseverance of the Saints, that you have to persevere till the end of your life in order to have had saving faith and therefore be saved.
That is certainly a man-made doctrine and not taught in the Bible. Many, many believers go in a negative direction after they become saved. All you have to do is read 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians, my goodness, what a crowd of believers those people were. Paul writes these lengthy letters to try to get them back on track and get them to live for the Lord. Certainly every believer ought to live for the Lord, but this was a crowd that was not living for the Lord.
So he tells the Corinthian believers in 1 Corinthians 5 that those that are believers but are not living for Christ, You ought to just fellowship yourself with them. It says in verse 10, you are yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world and so on and so on. He’s telling us here, I’ve written unto you in verse 11 not to keep company if any man that is called a brother, that’s a Christian, be a fornicator or covetous or an adult or a railer or drunkard or extortioner says don’t sit down and eat with these people.
Obviously, they were doing all those things in Corinth, and the chapter begins with a man living in fortication with his mother or stepmother. So obviously, God is speaking to these people in this particular book of 1 Corinthians 2 Corinthians about getting their lives in order and living for Christ that they’re going to have to give an account and how that they will be judged one day for one of the things they’ve done and plus the Lord will chase in them and we have the chasing of God really emphasized a lot in the Corinthian Epistles because God will spank the delinquent believer and he might even take you home to heaven early and so that is a very significant fact.
I hope that you have trusted Jesus as your Savior and I know we find that people get confused as the one lady said a few minutes ago that one preacher said you had to be baptized, another one said you didn’t have to be baptized, another one said you had to confess your sins, another one said you had to repent or turn from your sin. There’s only one thing, Acts 1631, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
So when you believe the word means from the Greek to trust, Christ as your only hope of heaven God saves you. It’s that simple. People stumble over the fact that it’s simple and the Bible says that that is exactly the tactic the Satan would use is the fact that it’s simple because people do not believe it. It’s just too simple. It seems for some people and it’s important that you trust Jesus and Jesus alone as your Savior. I hope that you have a truth to attend someplace this weekend.

great studies for the present hour which we’re living in as Peter equips us for the last days. And he talks about that in the last times, knowing this first, that in the last time scoffers will come. And we are living in a time when the Bible is being scoffed at, and it really tells us how to handle that, what we’re to do, and how to tackle the world living today, which is getting more difficult it seems by the hour.
