Sure good to be with you. I hope you’re going to stick with us all week long and tell your friends to join us as well. We’ll be in August at the end of the week and hard to believe July is just flown by. But we’ve had some great experiences and we’ve had a great time and I hope you’ve enjoyed July here on my But in August, we will, by the way, if you want to come by, we have a third Sunday dinner on the 17th of August, and that will be a baptism day as well.
In the afternoon, we’ll go to a small lake near our Bible and headquarters, and if you’ve not been water-baptized, since you have been saved, we’d be glad to include you in that baptism service. We will immerse you as that is what they did in the Bible. And by the way, if your baptized is an infant, that doesn’t count. If your baptized before you got saved, that doesn’t count. Water baptism doesn’t save, but it’s a testimonial on the part of the believer that they’ve been cleansed of their sin by the blood of Christ.
It’s only Christ’s blood that could wash away your sin. Revelation 1 and 5, Jesus says, or it says about Jesus, unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. We’re not washed by water, we’re washed by the blood of Christ. Then there are many who teach water baptism as essential for salvation and that is a big, big error. It is really wrong. And obviously that works for salvation and if you’re trusting in water baptism to save you, you’re not going to be saved.
It’s only Jesus and His death and shed blood that can provide for you eternal life. Well, we have our resource center open you can come by every day till about 4 30 in the afternoon and visit us Many people do and we had many over the weekend as well that came to visit and by the way if you live in another city You cannot come by and visit our our resource center here at Bible and headquarters in Tampa You can go online to our website Bibleline ministries at org and click on the online bookstore and you’ll be connected to that Resource Center and you can order off of that or you can call and ask for a resource sheet to be sent out We’ll send it out free of charge and you can look over all the things that we have and be able to order directly off of that
Sheet we have some great evangelistic tools. We have some wonderful A evangelistic tract is called the Free Ticket. We have another couple of them that are called, Am I Going to Heaven? And we have that in Spanish, we have it in English, we have a book on evangelism that will just tell you how to do it. How to open mouth, what to say when mouth is open, when to close your mouth. And that book is only I think $12 and it’s the best book on evangelism I believe ever written because it does the one on one.
You know we have so many books on evangelism but they generally talk about massive evangelism, senior evangelism, child evangelism and all kind of special needs group but they generally don’t tell you how to actually carry on the conversation. This book will tell you in imaginary conversation what you’ll say, what they’ll say, what they’ll say, what they’ll say, what they’ll say, what they’ll say. It just guides you through it, makes it so easy. You’ll find you’ll be leading people to Christ very shortly if you get that book on how to lead a soul to Christ called the Handbook of Personal Evangelism.
We have it in Spanish as well as English. By the way, we have the Scofield Bible in Spanish as well as English. One of the ones that I like so much is beautiful is it’s two Bibles in one. It has the English Scofield Bible and notes on the left side, on the right side of every page that’s Spanish, the Spanish Bible with the Scofield notes in Spanish. And that’s a treat if you are working with two languages or want to have the Spanish.
We also have just the Spanish Scofield by itself without the English. But I think it’s great to be able to have both in one Bible. like two Bibles in one. You might enjoy having that. We want to talk a little bit about the Bible right now and then we’ll get to our callers. If you want to call us, the number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. So give us a call. We’d love to hear from you and we hope that you will call us if you have a question or if you’ll get on that phone and tell your friends about the program.
We hope that they’ll tune in as well. What about the terminology that people use? And I know that a lot of people just mix up salvation with things that are part of the Christian life, and you can’t do that. Obviously, we are told in 2 Timothy 2, 15 to rightly divide the word of truth. Set the truths of God’s word in right order and that requires study That very verse says study to show thyself approved Under God as a workman that needs not to be ashamed.
You know as believers we should be working and As believers we need to work according to the book and if we’re not careful We’ll be ashamed because we didn’t pay close attention to what God’s word says Sometimes you have people say that in order to be saved you have to follow Christ or be a follower of Christ. That is not true. That is really one of the things of the Christian life that is presented in the Bible. We simply come to Christ and trust in His finished work and we become saved.
I am saved and saved eternally at the moment we trust Him as our Savior. But to follow Christ, and I think this gets so maligned as well, because following Christ has to do with our purpose as a believer, all right up until the day we go to be with the Lord, either by death or the rapture. In Matthew chapter 4 and verse 19, Jesus said to those disciples that He called and He says, follow me and I will make you fishers of men.
Well, obviously the object of becoming a follower of Christ is that you will become a fisher of men. And so if you are truly following Christ, you will be leading people to Christ. You will be seeking out the loss and trying to bring the gospel to them. But following Christ does not save you and is not a part of our salvation that the Bible talks about. salvation is holy and completely of Jesus. He paid it all. All of our sins were paid for by Christ and we simply receive the free gift of eternal life when we trust Him.
Wherever we look, we find salvation as presented as a gift. Romans 6, 23 says the gift of God as eternal life, the gift of God as eternal life, the gift of God as eternal life, the gift of God as eternal life. Or if we reverse that, eternal life is the gift of God. Eternal life is the gift of God. Ephesians 2.8 says, by grace are we saved through faith in Jesus Christ and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
It is the gift of God. John 3.16, for God’s the love of the world that he gave, his only begotten son. Wherever you look, salvation is spoken of as a gift. In Romans 5 it says several times it is the free gift. Free gift. Free gift. You know, this is the one gift that’s truly a gift. Sometimes we get a little bit wary of that word gift because so many sales people present some sort of a gift and by the time we get that gift it costs us a lot of money because it’s not really a gift.
But this is a gift. That’s truly a gift with no strings attached. The moment you trust Christ as your Savior, you become born again, you receive the gift of eternal life, and you become God’s child forever. Then there’s a second choice to be made. And I believe everybody ought to respond to Christ’s invitation to become a follower. And he says, follow me, and I will make you a fisher of men. Here’s a hymn that people sing, I’m following Jesus.
One step at a time. I didn’t mean to break into the song here, but it’s a beautiful song. But when you look at their life, I wonder, are they really following Christ? Because they never attempt to lead a soul to Christ. They never bring the gospel to anybody lost. They never invite a lost soul to church. They seem to be singing that song and would probably say, yes, I’m a follower of Jesus Christ, but if you’re a believer and you’re not attempting to lead people to Christ, you’re not following Christ.
Think about what Jesus said in Matthew 4.19, follow me and I will make you a fisher of men. That is really the focus of the Christian life. Ultimately, your life really ought to bring other people to Christ. That’s what it’s all about. And so all the other things that relate to the Christian life, going to church, praying, reading your Bible, aren’t the focus of the Christian life. The focus, the direction that Christ gave us, is follow me and I will make you a fisherman.
And you know it’s right in line with what we call the Great Commission. The Great Commission, Mark 1615, Jesus said, go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. That’s our Great Commission. We are to go and bring the gospel to the lost. To follow Christ means that Christ will make you a fisherman. You may not be one now, but as you follow in pursuit of that goal of following Christ, Christ will ultimately make you a fisher of men.
And as believers, that is our goal. We need to learn the Bible, we need to pray, we need to fellowship, but ultimately all of those other aspects of the Christian life should enable us to be a strong, faithful witness for Jesus Christ, sharing the gospel with those that are lost. I mentioned earlier that book we have handbook of personal evangelism. This will make it easy for you. It not only will tell you what to say, but it will tell you how to present it and to be smart, window open mouth and not open your mouth and window close your mouth after you have gotten into this conversation and how to stay focused on the purpose of your conversation.
That’s to bring that lost person to a saving knowledge of Christ. Let me recommend that you think about this. If you have trusted Christ, you are a believer. But now every believer is invited to follow Christ. Peter got saved in John chapter 1 when Andrew led his brother Peter to Christ. It says he brings him to Christ and Peter gets saved. But the invitation to become a disciple, to be a follower of Christ, is something that occurred later at a different time in a different location.
If you read Matthew 4, Christ is walking along the sea of Galilee. What a beautiful place it is. I was just there a few months ago. No wonder Jesus liked the sea Galilee. It’s just a gorgeous, gorgeous sea and it’s below sea level. It’s 700 feet below sea level and it’s in a valley, ringed with mountains and everything is green and luscious. It’s just a beautiful place. And Jesus said there to His disciples who were fishing, that was their occupation.
Peter, James, and John were going about their ordinary business. They were working with their nets, and they are fishers of fish. And Christ said, follow me, and I’ll make you a fisher of men. What happens? It says they forsook their nets, and they followed him. And obviously, Peter on the day of Pentecost was there when 3,000 people got saved in one day. Now maybe you’ll never have 3,000 people get saved, but every believer can lead someone else to Christ.
And it begins with your family. What about your children? What about your spouse? What about your nephews and nieces? What about your aunts and uncles? What about your parents? You know, everybody has somebody close to them. I believe that needs to hear the gospel. Maybe you’re listening today and you have never heard or understood the gospel. me tell you that’s more common than not because I was raised in church for eighteen years and never heard the gospel. I was confirmed, I was baptized, I was homogenized, pasteurized, tap-sized, and I was…nobody ever explained to me how to be saved.
Wow. And you know, I didn’t get saved by church. I got saved by the Bible, so I knew that my sister invited me to, that I went to really against my will. I didn’t want to go. But Thank God I did. Thank God for my sister invited me because I heard the gospel clearly presented and I immediately recognized, wow, this is the truth. This is the message. And I trusted Jesus Christ as my only hope of heaven. But you know, it was not until a year later that I decided I would follow Christ.
That is, I understood from the Bible that there was a second decision. I needed to become a fisher of men. I needed to tell others about Christ. And you know the Lord brought me to a place where I made that decision. And I’ll never forget, I picked out the first person I would ever witness to. And I planned the time and I planned the circumstances. I planned everything to be as best as I could in my favor. And I went down and talked to a fellow that lived down the hall in my dorm at the University of Florida.
And you know, to make the story short, he trusted Christ. What an exciting day that was. And you know, he’s still serving the Lord today. He didn’t get saved by serving, but he chose to trust Christ, and then he chose to live for Christ. And he’s a great friend. He’s written me numbers of letters thanking me for coming down and knocking on his dorm room and telling him about the gift of God. You know, there’s no greater thrill for the Christian than to lead someone else to a saving knowledge of Christ.
I hope you are saved right now. And I hope that you, if you’re not a follower, would be. Many people think they’re followers of Christ, but they never attempt the lead us to the Christ. You’re not a follower. You’re deceiving yourself. You might think you’re a follower of Christ, but Jesus said, follow me and I’ll make you a fisher of men. I’m Dr. Englundstrom. We’re going to go to the phone lines and we have lines lighting up right now, left and write that phone number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771, and we have Doris, and she’s down in Miami, Florida, and Doris, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.
Hi, I just wanted to find out. I’m so confused about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Can you really tell me? I’ve been baptized. I’m not sure, when they ask me, I’m baptized in the Holy Spirit. What I should answer? The answer is if you are a believer, if you have trusted Christ as your Savior, you have been baptized by the Holy Spirit. Let me give you a great verse, write this one down to us. It is 1 Corinthians 12-13.
It says, by one spirit are we ALL, A-L-L, baptized into one body. Whether you are bond or free, Jew or Gentile, you have all been made to drink into one spirit. And the result is, verse 27, now you are the body of Christ and members in particular. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the act of the Holy Spirit taking you the moment you believe and placing you into the body of Christ. So your position as God sees you is that you are in Christ’s body.
And that happens to every believer at the instant of belief. Notice what the verse says. 1 Corinthians 12, 13, By one spirit are we ALL baptized. Every believer, I’ve had people come to me and condescending terms and say to me, Have you received the baptism? Of the Holy Spirit and of course without hesitation I say absolutely. Every believer has the baptism of the Holy Spirit. You don’t have it. You’re not saved because you only are saved when you trust Christ and then God the Holy Spirit places you into the body of Christ and then he sees you in Christ and so therefore what happened to Christ happened to you God sees you in Christ’s body when he hung on the cross and therefore you can say as Paul did in Galatians 220 you’re crucified together with Christ.
Christ nevertheless you live. Romans 6 tells us you were buried with Christ. God saw you in the tomb in Christ’s body. When Christ rose from the dead it says in Romans 6 3 that you are resurrected with Christ. It says over in Ephesians that you are not only ascended with Christ but in Ephesians 2 6 as a believer God sees you in Christ’s body right now. And according to the Bible you’re seated with Christ right now in heavenly places in Christ.
So when you trust Christ, what happened to Christ, God says He sees you in Christ therefore it happened to you. As far as God is concerned, you’re already in heaven now where Christ is because He sees you in Christ’s body. As far as speaking in tongues, that is not happening at all today. It didn’t even happen to everybody in the time when tongues was operative. The gibberish is done today is not the gift of tongues. There’s nobody on the planet today that’s speaking in the gift of tongues.
That was a miraculous gift that allowed you to speak in a foreign language, a known foreign language, to evangelize. And that’s what happened on Pentecost. 3,000 people got saved hearing the gospel in a Gentile language. And the ones who spoke those Gentile languages had no clue as to what those languages were before God gave them the miraculous gift of a specific dialect of those languages. So Doris hope that helps a little bit, but every believer has the baptism and there are numerous other verses that would support that as well, but you don’t have to ever say, well, I don’t know.
1 Corinthians 12, 13 says every believer has received that baptism. Thank you very much. You’re welcome Doris. Keep listening down in Miami, Florida. We now have Lawrence and he is in Hollywood, Florida and Lawrence welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Pastor. You’re on the air. Go ahead. Okay. Pastor Hank, I have a question concerning the Gospel preached. Okay. It seems that it’s past tense. I have two scriptures, I have more, but I’ll just read two. In Mark 1615, it says, Jesus said, go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
In Colossians 1, 23, it says, this is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed, has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven. So it seems that it’s, you know, past tense. Well, when you look back, obviously that was the message that they were sent out with and they preached it, but that message has been entrusted to us and now we are to preach the gospel. If you read, and this is a great verse, 1st Thessalonians 2, 4 is one of my favorites, it says, as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but as pleasing God.
So you have been trusted with, as a believer, and I have been trusted with the message of the gospel and we are to speak that message and that’s present tense and that’s a very clear verse that yes there’s in that time preached the gospel thank God they did because it carried on down to us today but also you’ll need notice in 1st Thessalonians 2 4 that present tense we’ve been entrusted with the gospel and we are to speak it because that’s our responsibility as a Christian.
I understand that but my point it says it’s sort of misleading it’s that they preached to war creation everything or creation under heaven. How do you do that? Well obviously that’s an overstatement but it’s really saying that they went everywhere and you read that in Mark 16 the disciples took that commission literally and they went everywhere preaching the gospel and they reached pretty much the known world of that time. Paul obviously winds up his ministry in Rome there he’s executed but Rome was really an amazing civilization where they had communication lines and travel routes and roads that they built and made it very easy for the gospel to be moved around the world very quickly.
And you’ll find the early church grew in that wonderful environment. And I think God planned everything to happen at that particular time. But they did do the job that they were told to do and we praise the Lord for the early church that was dynamic in getting that gospel out. Yeah, but that again is just, you know, when you say on a road to Rome, that’s only going to Rome. It’s just the world creation. I know, but you missed the point that if you read what happens, as Paul tells us in Philippians, that the gospel was furthered even by him being put in prison.
He was leading prison cards to Christ. And those prison guards did duty in the palace as well. And so it went right into the palace of Caesar, into the government. and there were people becoming saved all over and those people as they traveled, they took the gospel and it went everywhere. Thank you so much Lawrence for your call, we appreciate that. And obviously we are to do the same today. We’re failing though, I think today, in getting that message out as we should.
I hope if you haven’t trusted Christ you would, you could just do that right now by saying, Lord I’m a sinner and I trust Jesus Christ as my only hope of heaven. of Heaven. I believe His death and shed blood purchased my salvation. God saves you the moment you trust Him. By the way, Bible and is listed as a supporter. We are finishing up the month of July. We are a little short. We could sure use your help. Could you possibly give a gift today to Bible and call in and give it by credit card over the phone or call in and ask for an envelope to be sent mail your gift in.
God bless you and thank you in advance for all of you who pray for and give the Bible and make it possible for us to be on the air. We are going to take short break we’re going to come back to do a second half hour by blind. I’m Dr. Englandstrom, don’t go away, keep you ready to do right where it is and I’ll be right back. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771.
That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Englandstrom and it’s great to be with you today. We certainly look forward to being with you every day and this is Monday and we’ll be here all week long. I hope you’ll join me. One lady said that she had gone away from her home for a few days and she missed her fix, which she considered Bible and her fix every day. She just needed to hear that Bible and program and open up her Bible and study along with us.
That’s exciting. And we have a lot of people who can identify with that and they say, yeah, Bible and is my fix every morning too. And we hope that it becomes yours. We We hope that you’ll enjoy every day as you listen, as we come to you live out of Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor. Why not use our internet to visit us? You can visit our radio programs by clicking on the spinning globe.
You can visit our television programs by clicking on the TV set. You can visit our worship services by clicking on the camera. It sure is nice to get those notes and cards and letters that encourage us as you tell us how Bibleline is meaningful to you.
And we hope that you’ll continue to listen and pass that word along to your friends. You know, we’re reaching people overseas. We just got a nice email from a missionary in Japan. And he listens. And he watches Bibleline on his laptop in Japan. Isn’t that amazing? What an amazing world we’re living in, where we have people around the world that are able to catch the Bibleline program. and hopefully you are taking advantage of that also. God bless you. We’re excited about reaching the lost for Christ.
Then we believe these are the last days. We believe we’re running against the clock. The Christ is coming back. And whatever we’re going to do, we need to do it now. Would you consider helping Bibleline investing in us? We are trying to get this message out. Get clear answers about the Bible out. And we need your support. We really don’t have any other means of staying on the air than our listeners. And so you are a special group that really enable us to be on the air.
And God bless every one of you who pray for and give the Bible and God bless you. You are the ones who keep this program going. And pray for the others that are doing that and pray for Bible and as we try to get out as far as we can with this wonderful message of the gospel of Jesus. We’re going to be joining the stations a bit on break into the second half hour Bibleline. So keep you ready right where it is And don’t go away.
Here we go Part 2. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Well, we’re back from that break and it’s good to be with you again today here on Bibleline and thank you for tuning in. You know, we are excited about what God is doing. We’re in the last days. Christ is coming back. If you don’t think we’re in the last days, then you’re not reading the newspaper.
The headlines just scream it out. Wow. Israel is back in the land. The world is focused on the oil in the Middle East. The problems are insurmountable as we find the nations are seeming to be in an uproar. And the Bible says that the nations would even laugh about the story of the Messiah and Jesus Christ and yet God says God would laugh and have them in derision. He’s going to bring a time of tribulation on this earth such as the world has ever seen and I think we’re right on the edge of that.
Thank God that we as believers are going to be snatched down at the event called the Rapture. That event is going to happen, I think, perhaps very soon. Maybe this year, who knows? But the word rapture means caught up and there’s going to be a group of believers that will never die. Can you imagine? Maybe you’re going to be one of those. If you’re a believer, there’s going to be a group of people that will never die, never experience death, but be caught up alive to meet the Lord in the air.
And so shall we ever be with the Lord according to the 1 Thessalonians 4, 13 through 18. I’m looking forward to that. I think if you stay healthy just a little bit longer You’re a good candidate to be one of those that’ll be a part of a special group that will never die Not exciting, you know Jesus said in John 11 25 in that wonderful chapter when he raises Lazarus from the dead He said I am the resurrection and the life He that believe within me though he were dead yet shall he live and that speaks of Most of those over this past two thousand years since Pentecost that they die and they’ll be in the resurrection They’ll have a new resurrection body.
They’re absent from the body present with the Lord But they don’t get their new bodies until Christ comes back and at the resurrection He will give them new bodies, but then verse 26 of John 11. Wow It says and who’s so ever liveth liveth and believeth in me shall never die there talks about the rapture he talks about a group that are living when he comes back a group of those that are living that believe or trust on christ and he says you’ll never die never die never die whoa won’t be something i can’t wait it’s exciting and maybe it’ll happen this year i don’t know but it could and i it’s certainly not something we should rule out say hey it won’t happen for a long time the very fact that Israel is in the land.
The very fact that the world is so dependent upon oil right now, that will change in the future as we develop other energy sources. But right now there is an insatiable thirst for oil. The Bible says that God would put hooks in the jaws of the nations to draw them into the Middle East and we are seeing that oil is that hook and it is drawing everybody into the Middle East. Wow. That’s when Jesus will come according to the Bible.
That’s when Christ will set up His Kingdom of peace on earth, good will toward men. That’s when, obviously, we as believers are going to really have some exciting experiences. Can you imagine to be just caught up right through the atmosphere, to meet the Lord in the air, be transformed into our new bodies on the way up and be forever with the Lord. It is exciting. I’m excited and wild. Well, I’m excited about it and here I got all my phone lines light it up and we need to talk to you Maybe you’d like to call us the numbers 1-800-576-3771 1-800-576-3771 and again Let me thank all of you who pray for and give to Bible and because you make this program possible We’re at the end of July and we’re a little bit short.
We sure could use your help would you consider? calling in today and and giving a gift to Bible and by credit card. Or call and ask for an envelope to be sent and we’ll send you an envelope with our address on you can mail that gift in. We can use your help and this is the way that God works and He has kept us on the air through the wonderful, generous gifts of listeners just like you who appreciate this program.
And I want to see you continue. God bless you. Thank you so much in advance because I know that God is using you to enable us to be on the air. And I don’t take that for granted. God bless you. Thank you so much. And we’re going to go to the callers. We have Liz. She’s in Prince George, Virginia. And Liz, welcome to Bibleline. I knew are on the air. Oh, thank you. I understand that there will be unbelievers in the millennium.
How would their potential lawless? be dealt with during the millennium? Well with severity, you know, Christ will be ruling and he will know every transcription that takes place and he’ll deal with it immediately. So it’s not like you’ll go undetected. It will be very known to Jesus and he will deal with it. There will be death in the millennium and as you said there will be unbelievers but it starts with all believers. No unbeliever will enter into the millennium But those people are, those who get saved in the tribulation period, they’re still in their mortal bodies, they haven’t died.
They’ll have children. Their children will marry and have children and their children will be raised up and marry and have children. And the earth will be filled with people that are born during the money. And many of those apparently will not trust Jesus as Savior, even though he’s visibly ruling on the earth and the earth is full of the knowledge of Christ. But that’s the wicked nature of man that we inherit from Adam. The Bible says in Jeremiah 17, 9, the heart is a sequel above all things and desperately wicked.
And so you see there will be unsaved people, people that will reject the message, even though they’re living in ideal conditions. But God will deal with that swiftly and they will not get away with it. So there will be peace on earth that whole time. God is not going to allow people to go to war or to learn war. They will not be able to develop weapons and they will be pretty much at peace. But some will not trust the Lord when they commit acts of sin.
God will deal with it right away. Thank you very much. You’re very welcome and thank you for that call. was from uh… prince george virginia we now have glenn in tampa florida and then welcome to bible and you’re on here hey how you doing uh… i wanted to first of all say i’d i think god god and jesus and the holy spirit so much for your program because i had your radio i had the radio on it worked one day and you were the one uh…
that told me that i never will lose my salvation I was walking around thinking, I’m done, I can’t never get right. Anyway, I finally gave it all to Jesus and I finally have been walking to the state and narrow line following him, going to church and just being a great Christian as he wants me to be. What I was trying to ask you is, now I realize that I thought it was all hokey but I believe that and I should just do that in my church, right?
Well, if you church does baptize by immersion and they would be willing to do it, that’d be fine. But if you’re near enough, we would be honored to include you in our baptisms. I would like to do that. I couldn’t catch the date though. August 17th, the third Sunday, it’ll be at three o’clock in the afternoon at a lake nearby. We can give you more information if you call and sign up to do it with us. I think now when do I do that?
Anytime you want between now and then, just call in after the program and I want to be on that baptism list. Okay, beautiful. And they can send you a map or they’ll give you all instructions. Okay, yeah, I really love you from my heart as a brother of Jesus and I just really thank God for your awesome work in the ministry. I appreciate the wonderful man. And I hope to meet you there really. Well I hope to too. Yeah.
get off the phone but i i really i i’ll tell you it’s going to be so great to meet like billy graham and having you know all these great ministers of the true word of christ you know going to be wonderful you know what i what i find interesting here is that people criticize us for telling the truth about salvation that it’s eternal you can’t be lost they say that leads to life of sin you just told us that uh…
the opposite is happening you’re walking the straight narrow living for Christ because you know you can’t lose it. That’s right. That’s right. I was like I said I was that was the dad. I mean I was going through some bad bad bad depression because I was like See I’ll make a long story short. I got out of prison I’ve been out for 15 years and I got saved in prison somebody’s thought they see me reading the Bible and They slit me a piece of paper.
You know the the prayer, you know to go to correct to Jesus and you know not right I was in my bunk crying like it shot and I knew I was saved because I I, when I finally got to prison after being in the county jail, I walked with God and then when I got out a week later and I just lost her and then I got to where I thought men God’s never gonna forgive me because of what you told me and I do hope that that is.
Absolutely. I’m personally gonna put you under the water. Oh, thank you God. All right, brother. I’ll see you then. Okay. Thank you, Glenn, for calling in from Tampa. We now have Linda in Spring Hill, Florida and Linda, welcome to the Bible. Yes, good morning. Good morning. Sorry, I was listening. I have kind of a question and a statement together. I was reading a book on portraits of Christ and Genesis and I don’t know if this is the dehan that you all is here of, but it was MR dehan.
that’s the one i like so much he was a mentor to me as a young believer he’s not having with the lord well then i’m so glad i got this book but i was reading his uh… perspective on adam and adam’s and and i’m thinking you know how we always beat up on adam uh… because he he knew any and but he gave a different perspective and he said that uh… here he the one he loved the most before besides god you know after God.
She’s now condemned. She’s eaten the fruit. She’s been fooled by Satan and I’m sure he knew how much he loved her and he’s trying to foil them having generations for God. And he by choice takes the apple or not the apple, but by choice goes with her in her because she’d have to produce a seed, a human redeemer, and he can’t be it. He’s in holiness with God yet, and she’s condemned. And so, out of love, he takes on her sin.
He identifies himself with her type of Christ, and he then can produce a seed. He knows what he’s going to have to suffer, but that’s the only way to save her, to produce the woman’s seed to have a redeemer. And I thought, wow, no one ever brought that point out. That’s beautiful, because that’s really, when you talk about the picture of Christ that he died, if there was just one person, he died, he would have come for them. And the only way he can come, of course, is for them to have other generations and tell it was his appointed time.
But it’d be almost like as if he was coming for her. Well, amen, and it’s a beautiful picture, that isn’t it, and it’s a picture of Christ loved for us. And Adam obviously loved his wife, and he was not deceived according to 1 Timothy 2, but Eve was deceived in the transgression, but Adam was not. He chose to deliberately take of it, and obviously in doing so, they both were condemned, and They both then became redeemed by the blood of the future Lamb of Christ that was pictured to them by the covering that God made for them out of the coats of skins of animals, which spoke of an innocent animal being slain, their blood being shed, and the covering being their very skin, which is a picture of Christ.
As he was without sin and he was slain, his blood was shed, and his righteousness becomes the covering of the believer. It’s a beautiful story and the M.R. and Han is one of the best. We’re going to try to start adding some of his books to our Resource Center soon so that others can get in on those great jewels that he presents in his books. Right. Well, the part that amazed me was how I missed it, the connection of how Jesus left his perfect state and came to us because of that love and how Adam because of that love and the only way to save her was to bring about that seed of the woman.
And I don’t know how I miss it. Some of the things are right there. Are you there, Dr. A? I’m right here. Great. It’s quiet. You know, some of the things are right there in front of us, but we just brush over and we miss other points. It’s like a diamond with all these cuts and you see one cut and then you miss the other cut that’s glittering at you and then spirit drops that jewel right in your brain and you’re like, wow.
I just thought that was beautiful. Well, thank you for sharing. You know, the wonderful thing is that the Bible is filled with this where throughout your whole life you can continue to read and read. learn and lean new things and I’m still learning exciting things from the Bible which is such a joy. Thank you so much Linda we appreciate that call we now have Chris and St. Petersburg and Chris welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, how you doing today sir?
Good. I had a quick question I don’t know if I can say the name of Stumpb other or not but he actually wrote a book and he started like a new I’m not sure if you’ve heard of it or not. I don’t think I have, but go ahead. What is the doctorate of the problem? Brian Sanders. I don’t know the name, but go ahead. What is the teaching? Well, the church that he’s actually started is a church where people live in the same house and they help out prostitutes and drug users.
drug users that are right there in downtown Tampa, they’re renting a house at the Hillfield Community College. And it’s about opening the floor and stuff. What’s your feeling, though? Well, I think we ought to reach the poor, but I think sometimes you need to be very cautious. In the book of Jude, it talks about being careful when we witness that we don’t get burnt by the sins of those that we’re trying to reach, and especially reaching the prostitutes and drug users and so on, sometimes I can come back and bite you.
Not that we shouldn’t win them to Christ, but we need to be careful, especially if we bring them in and are living in with them. In any case, I applaud the fact that they’re trying to help the poor, which we ought to do. But it makes me nervous that they might get stunned if they aren’t very careful in how they carry that out. But as long as their doctor in this crew, that’s great. But unfortunately today, so many are in the bad doctrine and they teach the poor drug user or prostitute that they have to change their life to be saved when it’s Christ who saves us and then the power to change our life comes as a result of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us.
And it’s not us doing something to be saved, but it’s Christ who saves us and then gives us the power to have victory after we’re saved. We now have Dave in St. Petersburg and Dave. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Pastor. I’d like to go through the callers to how things are going to be rolling. That basically explains that we’re going to be rolling with a lot of iron. So if you want to look that up.
And the other thing, just the fall, there’s always had some late news. Apparently that Russia has moved in some warships and anti-submarine ships into the Arctic Ocean to try to take the oil field. The oil field is out there yet, but they’re trying to secure that area right now. And then something I tell you, this thing about oil and the greed and desire of man to control it is what’s going to bring about the Battle of Armageddon. I’m just leaving at the Rapture, but we can see it as the countries get more of an appetite China, India.
These countries are wanting more and more oil. And obviously they’re going to go to war with it. And that’s what Armageddon is all about. Yeah, and it’s going to be like a split second. Yeah, missiles are going to start flying. Go ahead. That’s right. That happens. I’m just glad that we’re going to be raptured out before the Battle of Armageddon and before the tribulation period. And we’re going to miss the worst, although it looks like it’s getting worse every day.
And we might go through a part of some of the bad things, but we’ll not go through any of the seven years tribulation which we are really crazy lord about yet so my i i think i think we’re going to be a little bit of it and then it’s going to be trumpet sound and red how we go well thank you dave for that call we appreciate your input we now have sisen in clear water and uh… sisen welcome to bimblain you’re on the air all thank you very much good morning how are you good good good i have a question i just got reading done reading the book twenty a few minutes in hell.
I know that we’re supposed to hold people back from going to hell. I want to just now run out and grab everybody by the collar and shake them. You have to understand what’s going to happen to you if you don’t listen, if you don’t turn to Jesus. But I know that when I was a new believer, I used to do this to a lot of people and what ends up happening because they were not ready to hear this message.
I would end up pushing them away. So I’m now now in this term I just want to tell everybody because you don’t want to see any soul fermented and hell my gosh it’s just a horrible even thought. I am like Lord please show me. I mean if I go and talk to this person is it going to because they’re not ready to hear this message and they’re going to push them away. Should I talk to them? Should I not talk to them?
Let me recommend that book that we have handbook of personal evangelism. It really tells you how to do this without offending them or pushing them away. And it really is going to be the answer to your prayers. By the way, on that book, that’s totally unscriptural. There’s nobody in hell yet. So that’s all a fiction because the Bible says that Satan and his angels are going to be the first to be cast into hell. And then everybody in the human race will be brought about of Hades where they’re now waiting till Satan’s cast in hell and then nobody cast into the eternal lake of fire.
So there is nobody in hell. So obviously this person in writing his book is telling you some fiction because he hasn’t been to hell because nobody’s been in hell yet it’s still empty. Oh well that’s good to know I want to stop anybody from penning in that direction because it’s you know. Absolutely. Well I’m glad that you have that result from the reading the book but the book is not scriptural, but the truth of hell is real. And obviously we need to try to win people and prevent people from going there by trusting in the wonderful gospel message that salvation is a gift and paid for.
But the book we have on evangelism, and I had a ten-hour course I taught on how to lead a soul to Christ, that I think would be very helpful to be able to know how to do it without driving somebody away, but actually winning them to Christ. It’s like a wet noodle. You can’t push a wet noodle without it all bunching up, but you can pull a noodle. And obviously we need to attract them and win them, not push them.
And that’s the difference. And I think you’ll find this will be helpful to you if you want to call and ask our operators about ordering some of that stuff. And what was that called? Handbook of Personal Evangelism. Okay, great. And we also have some wonderful tracks and other tools that really work in helping you lead your friends to Christ. Thank you for your burden and desire to win the lost season. Thank you so much God bless. Okay, thank you.
And pray that she’ll be able to lead a lot of people to Christ. We have Matthew in Spring Hill Florida. Matthew, welcome to the Bible and you’re on the air. Hey Hank, my question revolves around Revelation 2123. It’s the light and there’s no need for Sun or Moon. Are we ever actually going to see the Father or is Christ just the one that is going to dwell with us for eternity? I believe we are not going to see the Father because he is the Spirit and we might see the glory or the glow or whatever it might be.
But we will truly see Jesus for all eternity and that is part of God’s plan that he would take an un-human body and become one of us and when we are fellowshiping with the Lord an eternity, it will be Jesus that we will be physically seeing and touching and fellow-shipping with. Okay, so in dispensationalism, what does it mean when Christ is going to hand over the Kingdom to the Father? Well, I was talking about at the end of the thousand-year reign, then obviously he turns it back over to God the Father.
He creates the new heavens and new earth, and of course then Jesus will live in that New Jerusalem with us which I believe will be orbiting the planet earth and will be in that beautiful city. Thank you. All right. Thank you Matthew for calling in and we now have Dan in St. Petersburg. Dan, welcome to Bob when you’re on the air. Hello Dr. Lister. Good speaking with you. I have a question pertaining to…
I’d love to hear what you have to say about that. Okay. Tell them to go to the mall with me. I’d love to see it used that in public. They don’t like to use it at in public because they know that people will not respond well to this gibberish. They’re not speaking a known foreign language, but it says in 1 Corinthians 14 22, tongues are for a sign not to those that believe, but those that believe not. So it’s a sign for unbelievers and I tell people go with me to the mall, I’ll get a crowd.
If I have to freak out, I’ll get your crowd and then I’ll introduce you. Speaking your gift. And if we have the real gift here, we’re going to have a revival. And I’ll even buy you a steak dinner. Nobody’s gone. I’ve been inviting people to do that for decades. And nobody wants to do that in public. I have to run because of the time. Dan, we’ll talk more about it tomorrow. In the meantime, I hope everybody listening has trusted Jesus as their Savior.
And if you haven’t, just tell the Lord, Lord, I’m a sinner, but I believe or trust that Jesus died for me and by his death and shed blood, purchase my salvation. Again, we’re at the end of July, a couple more days and we’re short. We can sure use your help if you would call and give a gift today that would be so appreciated or call an S for an envelope and mail a gift in the Bible and that would be great.
God bless all of you and thank you in advance for praying and giving to Bible and to enable us to continue to be on the air in your area. We’re going to have to say goodbye but we’ll be back again tomorrow and I hope you’ll join me all this week. And in the meantime, keep looking up. I’m Dr. Anke Lindstrom, and I’ll be back tomorrow. In the meantime, look up because Jesus is coming, and we believe soon. You’ve been listening to Bibleline, a presentation of Bibleline Ministries of Tampa, Florida.

talking about evangelism today. And that book, handbook on personal evangelism, is a jam. It’s a jewel. It’s the best book out there to tell you about the one on one and how not to push somebody away, but actually lure them and attract them to the gospel and to win them to Christ. Give it a try. Call us. It’s only a $12 book and we’ll ship that out to you and also we have some great evangelistic tracks that really work.
They work so well that you can actually leave it in the hands of somebody if they’ll read it. There’s a great chance that they’ll trust the Lord. I mean this is a wonderful, wonderful track. So in any case we’re so glad you tuned in today again. Pray for Bible and if you can give a gift today, call and give it by credit card or mail a gift in. I’ve got a run.
