This is Bibleline, and we’re going to jump right into the Bible and see what it has to say. In Romans chapter 3, it says in verse 23, for all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God. The word sinned there means to miss the mark. And although some people might feel self-righteous and like they’ve never really gotten a traffic ticket or never really done anything seriously wrong, The Bible says all have missed the mark and have come short of the glory of God.

In other words, the definition for sin according to the Bible is to be less perfect than God. If you’re anything short of being as righteous as God, then you are a sinner. Isn’t that interesting? The Greek word actually means to miss the mark. For all have missed the mark and have come short. Come short of the glory of God. If you’re shooting an arrow at a target and you missed by one entry, missed by a mile, in any case you have missed the mark and therefore technically the biblical word means you have sinned because you’ve missed the mark.

If you’re watching a football game and the player advances from the line of scrimmage nine yards and thirty five inches. He has not gotten enough ground covered to get a first-time down so therefore he has missed the mark and technically you could stand up in the sands and crowd he said he said because he missed the mark you see they bring out those chains and they measure and if the ball doesn’t make that extra inch to make a full ten yards they don’t get the first down and of course the same thing is true for the touchdown if a player catches the ball at one end of the field on the kickoff and he runs ninety nine yards and he’s tackled on the one inch line.

How many points go upon the scoreboard? None. You say, well, what a great effort, what a great run. Look at all the yards that he gained. And yet there’s no points unless you cross that imaginary line. Unless you’re as righteous as God, the Bible says you have missed the mark and you have come short of the glory of God. So clearly every one of us in the human race are sinners. Sometimes when we talk about everybody being a sinner, A lot of people kind of bristle a little bit and they say, well, you know, I’ve never been in jail.

I’ve never even gotten a parking ticket. I’m a good citizen. I’m a good parent. I’m a good neighbor. I’m a good PTA parent and all these other things. And they don’t recognize that the definition in the Bible for sin is to be short of God’s righteousness. So if you have missed that mark of being as righteous as God, you are in trouble because nobody can enter heaven unless they have the righteousness of God. You heard that right. I didn’t ever hear that in my church.

I was never told that I had to be as righteous as God to go to heaven. I’ll never forget. I was talking to one man and I was trying to witness to him and he said, I am not ready. He said to get right with God. I’m not ready to get right with God. And so I asked him a question. I said, what do you think you have to do to be right with God? And of course, he listed off different things that he had habits that he had to give up and he had to maybe start going to church and this and that and the other.

And I said, no, no, no, no, no. To be right with God, you have to be as righteous as God. Let me say that again. To be right with God, you have to be as righteous as God. And none of us are. We’ve all sinned, all missed the market, and have come short of the righteousness of God, of the glory of God. But right in this wonderful chapter here, we find in verse 22 of Romans 3, if you have your Bible open, it tells us even the righteousness of God.

That is the requirement, my friend, for salvation. It says even the righteousness of God, which is by faith in Jesus Christ, unto all and upon all them that believe. Look at that. So the righteousness of God is offered by God to everyone. Christ died so that His righteousness could be imputed or credited to your account. And God is offering His righteousness to everyone on the planet. And it’s offered to everyone, but it’s only upon, catch this, it’s only upon them that believe.

The word believe means to trust. When you trust that Jesus died and paid your sin debt and full, was buried and rose again from the dead. Then this righteousness of God, which is offered to all, is then imputed to and is upon all those that believe. Then it says in the verse 22 of Romans 3, for there’s no difference, there’s no difference, there’s no difference. We’re all in the same boat, we’re all in the same dilemma, we’re all headed for hell without Christ.

There’s no difference. Verse 23 then says, for all have missed the mark, all have sinned and all have come short of the glory of God. So there you have it. You have to be as righteous as God in our heaven. We’ve all sinned, we’ve all missed the mark and come short of that. And so the righteousness of God is offered by faith to all that would put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior. When you trust Him, the righteousness of God is credited to your account.

It says in verse 27 about this wonderful plan of salvation, where is boasting then or bragging? Well, it says it’s excluded by what law of works? It says no, but by the law of faith. In other words, because it’s by faith and not by works, all boasting is excluded. Nobody can say, wow, I earn my way to heaven. Wow, I deserve to go to heaven. Or I’ve been good and therefore You know, I’m going to make heaven. You can’t get to heaven on the basis of your works.

So verse 28 says, and this is a conclusion of the first three chapters of the book of Romans. It says, therefore we conclude, therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. So we’re justified by faith. That word justified means to be declared righteous. It’s a legal term. It’s in God’s courtroom. we are declared legally by God as righteous as God based upon what Christ did for us at the cross and it’s without the deeds of the law and that’s why boasting bragging is excluded from God’s plan of salvation because it has nothing to do with what we do.

It has everything to do with what he did. So it’s not what you do for God that saves you. It’s what God did for you in Christ at Calvary that saves you. you trust in the finished work of Christ. God saves you and saves you eternally. I’m Dr. England Strem. This is Bibleline. Great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning in. We’re going to take our callers and answer questions. If you have a question, you’re welcome to dial us at 1-800-576-3771.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to Steve in Brandon, Florida and Steve welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Thank you Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Let me just add that I think you are the best Bible teacher there is barring none. I question pertains to Hebrews chapter seven and ask pertains to 10 percent that we’re supposed to give to the church. Would you please explain that and thank you. Alright Steve, in Hebrews is talking about the tithe that was given to Abraham, rather Abraham gave to Melchizedek and therefore because the whole nation of Israel was in the loins of Abraham, therefore the whole nation of Israel is seen as having given a tithe to Melchizedek which we believe is Jesus Christ.

If you read the first part of that chapter, Melchizedek has no father, no mother, no beginning of days, no ending of days. Obviously, he has to be God. Therefore, he is a preincarnate appearance of Jesus Christ himself. And that’s Hebrews chapter 7 where we are. And notice it says here, he doesn’t have an end of life, but this made like unto the Son of God. So we believe that this is a preincarnate appearance of the Son of God or Christ.

And he abides therefore as a priest continually. So here Abraham gives a tithe to him in Genesis chapter 14 after he has victory over the kings of the Sodom Valley and he gives a tenth of the spoil to Melchizedek and in so doing he gives a tithe. But now we find that in the Levitical priesthood it’s a different ball game because these priests die and their priesthood is not forever, but because Christ lives forever, He is able to make good on His promises and because He died and paid for our sins and then came back from the dead, He saves us forever.

It says in verse 25, wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost. Really, that word means completely. He completely saves you. He doesn’t save you partly or maybe 99% of the way, but he completely saves the lost person. In other words, at the moment you believe you are saved forever and ever. Now, we’re not under the Old Testament law, but certainly the principle of giving to the Lord is taught throughout the Bible. And perhaps the tide is a good rule of thumb as to how much to give.

But we’re in the New Testament not to give because we have a law that says thou shalt give, but we’re to give from the heart it says in 2 Corinthians 9 8 that God loves a cheerful giver. The Greek word there means hilarious. In other words you give hilariously. You just love to give and it should be that we should give because we love the Lord and because we realize that he who is rich became poor that through his poverty we might be made rich and we’re rich through what Christ did for us at the cross and and therefore we owe everything to Christ and we, he’s not really looking for your money.

If you would only recognize that he has bought and paid for you and that we belong to him, then he has everything and he has our life, he has our time and he has our talents and he has our treasure, as we submit ourselves to him as a believer, but we don’t do that to be saved, we do it because we are saved. but certainly everybody brought to give. And I love that verse in Philippians 4 17, which I oftentimes recite on the radio, where Paul says to the Philippian believers about giving, not that I desire a gift.

He wasn’t trying to get their money. But he says, I desire fruit that may abound to your account. The whole point is, God wants to reward you for whatever you do for God. And if you will faithfully serve him, whatever you do or whatever you give to a ministry that is bearing fruit, that fruit that the Lord has. ministry bears will be accruing to your account in heaven and that’s obviously a whole new concept for many people. I know that it really surprised me that when I gave that I was laying up treasures in heaven and when I gave to a ministry that was bearing fruit, the fruit that they bore would be accrued to my account in heaven, which is great news.

Thank you, Steve. We’re now going to go to Kyle in Sarasota, Florida and Kyle, welcome to buy one year on the air a dot i got a question that i came up over a weekend that i never really attacked very much before she’s the new test with all written greek uh… does that mean that paul jesus john peter all of them today they spoke our make that night air make is a dialect of hebrew yes but the language of the day uh…

you know uh… alanza the great conquered the world several centuries before christ and spread his culture and language throughout the world so the world was communicating those days in the greek language and so they wrote the new testament in the common uh… street greek language that everybody spoke and so it was really able to be easily read and understood by everybody on the planet at that time that was the universal language so uh… but uh… i’m sure christ probably spoken hebrew or the dialect of hebrew called air make so uh…

paul like when he’s speaking on my appeal that he probably spoke in great right absolutely yeah and while in greece you better speak in greek so but in in say israel what was it mixed up like well you know paul said he spoke in many different languages he was a pretty educated fellow and uh… when he was uh… talking to jewish people i’m sure he’s probably spoken their native language he grew but when he was in greece where they spoke greek he obviously speaking to gentiles and he spoke in the Greek language and that was the language of the day of the day st john and peter and develop also they probably generally spoke because paul was so smart he could speak probably a couple languages but like peter wasn’t that bright wasn’t well i think peter was a bright fella he just wasn’t educated

uh… formally that is and they marveled at what he knew because the lord had taught him you know and they they since that obviously he’d been under the instruction of christ And so he became a great expositor of scripture and great teacher. And so I don’t think Peter was dumb. I just think he was not formally educated. Right. Because he like Greek would have been like, say here in America, English. And Hebrew might have been like Spanish maybe. Well, anyway, you want to cut it like that.

But the Jewish people today still speak Hebrew, especially in Israel. They have revived the ancient language. And so if you go over there, you’re going to be confronted with Hebrew. But most people around the world speak a second language, which is generally English. You can usually get along pretty much anywhere in the world today with English, which is like a universal language. But wherever whatever culture you go to, they have their own language like Spanish or German or French or whatever it might be in an Israel, it would be Hebrew.

In the Old Testament was all Hebrew, right? Yes it was. All right. Thanks, Todd. Welcome Kyle, it was Kyle down in Sarasota, Florida. And you’re welcome to call in if you’d like. The number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We do have a number of off-air questions and we’ll try to catch some of those. We have Keith in Richmond, Virginia. He leaves this off-air question. What do you think of Joel Olstein and Joyce Myers? Well, I think their doctrine is weak and sometimes flawed, so I would be very careful when you listen to anybody that you would check out what they’re saying against the Bible.

That’s what the Bible tells us to do. It says in 1 John chapter 4 and verse 1, beloved, don’t believe everybody you hear, but test or try or examine what they teach against the Scriptures because there are many false teachers going out into the world. I like Isaiah 820. It says if they speak not according to this word, that is the word of God. It is because there is no light in them. And so both of these that you mentioned here, I believe, are doctrinally flawed.

You need to be careful as to who you listen to. We have John and by Pinellas Park and we’re going to talk to John right now. Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the earth. Thank you, sir. I’ve got a question with regard to the book of Galatians in the beginning of the chapter trying to be justified by keeping the law. Yes. And that in correlation with numerous other books. What’s the other verses particularly in the book of Hebrews would tend to carry someone who’s reading it from a superficial point of view into thinking that we could lose our salvation once we’re saved.

What exactly is that speaking about in the first part of chapter 5? Well, I believe it’s talking about that if you’re trusting in Christ plus works or by the law or Christ plus the law, you will not be saved at all. And so Paul is warning them that they need to trust Christ alone. And he makes a contrast here. He says in verse four, Christ has become of no effect unto you if you or whosoever of you are justified by the law or by works.

You are fallen from grace, not from salvation, but you’re fallen from grace, which the Bible says in Titus 2, 11, that grace brings salvation. Grace is not salvation, but if you are trying to be saved by law, then you’re fallen from grace or the means by which we are saved. But verse 5 then switches gears and it says, we, through the Spirit, wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. So in verse 5, he’s talking to believers, verse 4 is talking, verses 1 through 4 is warning people that are trying to be saved by the law that they’re not saved, that they need to trust Christ alone.

So in verse 4 it says, you, you, you, you several times. In verse 5 it says, we, we, we, we. So in rightly dividing the word we find in verse 4 he’s addressing unsaved people that he says are attempting to be saved by the law and he says Christ won’t count anything for you if you’re attempting to be saved by any works. Because grace is the absence of works. And if you add a little bit of works to the plan of salvation, you violate the whole thing.

That’s what he’s saying down in verse 9, a little leaven of the whole lump. So if you add a little bit of works to what Christ has done, then you are really going to stand before God on the basis of your works, not on the basis of God’s sacrifice at Calvary in his grace by which he wants to save us. So he’s pointing out that a gospel had crept into the Galatian churches, which was a region comprised of many churches, that they had perverted the gospel of Christ according to chapter 1, and it then became an accursed message that wouldn’t save anybody.

And so Paul was mourning about accepting this message and proclaiming it because it would be a message that would not save the person that would receive it if it added the law or any other form of works to what Christ had done at the cross. You must trust Christ alone. Could you shed some light as well in regard to where he says, you guys were running the race so well, what happened? Points towards he can’t be running the race.

Well he’s saying it right but there were people in the churches of Galatia that were going long fine and then all of a sudden they bought into the false teachers and now we’re proclaiming a message that would not save anybody that was in a cursed message. So that’s why we, after we’re saved, need to be careful. We stay with the Bible and don’t allow ourselves to be corrupted. And you know, it says in chapter 2 that false brethren crept in unawares and they came in secretly or privately.

And he was saying, that’s what he was warning about here, that don’t listen to those people that are perverting the gospel by adding works to what Christ has done. And we have a whole bunch of them out there today that are doing the same thing. They add to what Christ has done and say that, yes, Christ died, but you have to be baptized or you have to unite with the church or you have to keep the sacraments or you have to go to Mass.

And none of that is true. You simply trust Christ and you’re saved. And so he said, you started off good, but what has happened here is that these false preachers came in to these churches and perverted the message. And he says, don’t buy into that. You started off great. Don’t you realize that you can’t add anything to what Christ has done in a little 11. And then it says in verse 8, which is very powerful. This persuasion, this false teaching concerning Christ doesn’t come from him that invites you to be saved.

So that came from another source, and it wasn’t the Lord, but it was the devil. I hope that helps you. Thank you very much. All right. Thank you and appreciate that call John over in Pinellas Park. We have Jean in St. Petersburg. Jean, welcome to Vibeline. You are on the air. Oh, I am? Yes, you are. Hi, I love you, Cheryl. I was cool because I’ve been listening to you and before I went to college, I grew up in a church where they shouted and your body clicking and they spoke in tongues.

And my mother still, in fact, she was just recently visiting me and she was speaking in tongues. I had a gospel song playing and taking her back home. And I just, I mean, I believe that God died for our sins and that’s the gift. if we don’t have to work for it. But I was wondering, yeah, I still struggle with that. I don’t understand it. You know, is it in the Bible? Well, the whole thing of tongues is ceased.

It was a real gift, and it wasn’t known language, and it was to be used to evangelize. But the way most of these people are using it is the private type of expression to God. And there’s no basis for that at all. The gibberish that they do is not understood by anybody including themselves and is done by all the world religions which would tell you that it can’t be from God because God isn’t going to give it to unbelievers if it’s really His gift.

And so this is a counterfeit today of the real gift that’s in the Bible. I have a wonderful CD on that you can call it an order. I got to go to break. So hold on we might come back and talk to you after the break. So hold on to where you are. Don’t change that now. I’ll be right back in just a few moments. So away Bibleline will be back in a moment. To pledge your support for Bibleline, give us a call at 1-800-576-3771.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well this is Dr. Englishman, this is Bibleline, it’s great to be with you on this Monday and I hope that you are having a great day and we invite you to listen all this week as we’ll be coming to you live every day. wherever you might be listening. I hope you’ll pass the word along to your friends and invite them to listen to the Bible and program and help us grow our audiences in all the different cities where we are.

And of course we want you to know that we’re on the internet so you can maybe if your day is crowded and you want to hear the full program or hear it again, you can go to the internet and hear it as often as you like. That’s BibleLineMinisteries.org Bibleline Ministries, one word and we just generally all lower case but Bibleline Ministries spelled at the N-T-R-I-E-S Bibleline Ministries dot O-R-G-O-R-D-O-R-D-O-R-G. And give that a try and we hope that you will.

By the way we want to tell you again that we are listeners supported and if you would pray for us and also consider giving a gift to Bibleline that would really help us out. We are dependent upon our listeners. We don’t have any other source to be able to pay the bills that keep us on the air. We don’t pay any salaries to anybody. So all the monies really go right back into the ministry and getting this message out as far as we possibly can get it out.

And we certainly appreciate all of you who have given in the past and hopefully in this do your 2007 that you will continue your gifts to Bibleline and if you haven’t given before maybe you’d consider being a regular giver to Bibleline. You can send a gift by mail or you can give it by credit card over the phone if you’ll just call the 800 number our operators will be glad to send you an envelope with our address on it and or they’ll recite the address so you can copy it down.

We do it rather quickly on the show here but you You can get them to go real slow. You can copy it down so you can mail a check into my line. But also you could give that gift by credit card over the phone. We’re always excited to meet our listeners. If you ever get a chance to come by, maybe you live in another city, but you visit Tampa. We’re just a block west of the airport. So take that extra minute and drive by and say, hi.

I listen to my line and I’d like to come by and say hi. We’d love to have you visit our resource center. every day till about 4.30. we’d love to have youlayout here on a worship day come to our Wednesday night service or our Sunday morning service and this Sunday would be a great Sunday to come because we have our third Sunday dinner and you come at 10.30 and then be my guest and stay for our lunch right after the morning service.

We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break and do Bible on part two. So keep that dial tuned right where it is. We’ll do the second half of Bibleline. Would you like to help Bibleline continue in your area? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright we’re back for that break and here we are doing the second half hour of Bibleline And we’re so glad to have you with us again today on this beautiful Monday.

And thank you for tuning in to Bible Mind. If you have a question, you’re welcome to call in and leave it off air, or you can leave it on air, if you’d like. And we’ll be glad to try to answer it if we possibly can right out of the Bible. I remember what it was like to be in church as a little boy, asking questions and never getting any answers. I finally became discouraged and I began to look for my answers in science, which really had become my God about junior high.

And I went on to the University of Florida and graduated in electrical engineering and science had been my God. And God intercepted my life just after I got out of high school, I got saved, and I got interested in the Bible and it changed my whole life. And obviously I have had this desire to be able to answer people’s questions because I myself was so frustrated with a lack of anybody answering my questions. So Bible light is a resource for you.

We hope that you’ll consider praying for us. We certainly could use your prayers. It seems like we wear a bullseye here where the devil seems to. Last week we had a Trojan horse in our computers and put them all down. We have those kind of things happen not exactly that way, but different things happen that seem to want to hinder by the line. You know if you read through the New Testament, Paul said many times Satan hindered him, didn’t stop him, but hindered him.

So praying the Lord would stop Satan even from hindering us, but we’re not going to stop. We just sometimes get hindered. So pray for us that the Lord would take care of that. And also we could use your prayers and we could use your financial support. We are listeners supported and it’s a very real partnership because without our listeners we could not be on the air. And we don’t pay any salaries and all the money’s come in to go back out to put this message out over the world on the radio stations we’re on and on the internet and on television and all the things that we do to try to get the word out.

We would covet your prayers and ask you if you would consider Giving a gift to Bible and even if you just gave a dollar for every program you listened to if every listener did that I think we’d be in great shape. Would you consider even doing that? That would be wonderful Anyway, we’re gonna go now to Madeline down in Bradenton, Florida and Madeline welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Good morning pastor this beautiful morning beautiful, isn’t it? Oh gorgeous I have a question about the Greek language, which is an academy wondering, do the Greek people today, like in people who live in Tophan Springs, for instance, could they read the Old Greek words in the Bible?

I know they have more words than we only have one for. I’m sure they could. It’s not quite the same, but absolutely it’s called the Koine Greek, which is the common Greek of that time. And then there’s what’s called classical Greek and so on. I think they could probably read it and do quite well if they read the New Testament and read the language. And that’s Greek life the dark, isn’t it? Yeah, yeah. And the problem is with any, with most of all groups, there’s nobody’s reading the Bible today, you know, to speak of.

I mean, I don’t know why, but the devil doesn’t want you to read this book because it’s going to set you free. The truth will set you free. And people just, most Christians can’t even quote, you know, even a verse or two from the Bible, which is sad. We need to get into the Bible on a regular basis and become familiar with it. And then as a Christian, that’s your food to help you grow. And if you’re going to be a strong Christian, it’s not going to happen unless you’re in the Bible.

It answers every question we live. It’s like a book of your own self. You got it right. I can understand it first. And then the Holy Spirit, I can feel it. Once you can say it’s like the light turns on. One other question for you regarding the Greek language is the amplified Bible. anything that would be interesting to to expound on the great word well it makes it very easy for you because you don’t have to look up every word in accordance and generally right in the text gives you the meaning of the great word as you read so it’s helpful yes well thank you and wonderful day are you to know meldaland metalin down in braidenton florida Alright, we have here Nancy in St.

Petersburg calling in, leaves us off air question, Acts 1730, Reverdances Paul’s sermon. In this time of ignorance, God overlooked. Explain what it meant that sin was overlooked and not accountable. Well, what it means is that not really overlooked, but basically put aside. The Old Testament, it was like this. You know, if you ever got guests coming unexpectedly in your hurry, some people have been known to sweep the dirt under the carpet and then later take care of it. So they kind of hide it.

Or maybe grab some things that you don’t want seen and throw them in the closet, the same closet door shut. In other words, they’re out of sight and covered. And the word atonement in the Old Testament means covering. God did His covered, or in a sense overlooked those sins. They were going to have to be dealt with, but He overlooked them until Christ came and died on the cross of Calvary. When Christ died, He paid for every one of those sins that had been kind of covered, which is the word of Talmud.

And now we have full reconciliation for our sins. Christ fully paid for them. And the Old Testament saints, because their sins had not yet been paid for, had to go to Paradise in the heart of the earth and wait until Christ died and when he died he went down there proclaimed liberty And the fact that sin had been paid for and on a third day He emptied out paradise and took all those people up to heaven So the Old Testament saints are now in heaven, but up until the cross they were in the heart of the earth waiting For their sins to be paid for so this is what is talking about is that Christ went down on the cross of Calvary, died there to pay for the sins of those that had lived in the past.

It tells the Son of the Romans as well. And so what it’s saying here is the same thing as that God covered them or kind of overlooked them until he could take care of them and when Christ died he paid for them. But nobody went to heaven without trusting Christ. the Old Testament and the New Testament you had to trust Christ if you were to be saved. Nobody has been saved any other way. We have now James over in Seminole, Florida.

James, welcome to Bibleline. Good morning, sir. I haven’t talked to you in quite a while. All right. But I found, I think, an amazing MLB Mark of the Beast in the news this week on the Internet. apparently this company I won’t mention their name has developed a process for a Chippless RFID invisible ink can be read from by a scanner from four feet away. In other words, that’s amazing. Yeah. Well, you don’t need a chip. You’ll have to call my secretary and give that web address to her for me.

I’ll drop it to you in the email. That sounds even better. Good. Thanks a lot. Oh, by the way, if you want to check it out, it’s on a website called Information Week. You should be able to find it there if you want to look at it. Thanks. Thanks a lot, James. Thanks. We’re living no doubt in the last days and developments in science are really coming along fast. We have Sam in Lakeland, Florida, and Sam, welcome to Bob on your own here.

I enjoy your program. I see a question. I hear a lot of people call in and talk about the salvation. When I was standing there studying, I understood something that he said that it was only two people. I guess I could use it with qualified to die. And it was Adam because he had no sin. And Jesus because he took on the sins of the world. So the thing is, if everybody bones spirit the dead, and they’re not qualified to die.

So if they’re not qualified to die, and people get saved, and when they get saved, then their body would die and go back to the areas, but their spirit would be saved. So somehow they get died. They can’t accept the fight that they said they have nothing to do with work It’s just called Jesus that he loved the world so much that it gave us on So he loves the reason he’s saviors. That’s all he’s saved because he loves you that who’s never it was it receiving him I trust him and And and we they can’t comprehend it can’t accept the fight that they don’t have they don’t have to do No, he do it because he loves them and he turned around and gave them a little bit of it with them sell I say love the world so much and when you go out and adopt the child

You go out and make me a mind, you’re holding to adopt that child. You have a chance to love that child before you even get in that child. I don’t know you. So you have a chance to experience a little that same kind of love. The same for one woman, have a child and she gets pregnant and that when the whole nine months you got a chance to grow to love that child. That child was on the bottom and when it’s known that they have to grow to love her and she already loved it.

So I want to get that comment on the people that fear they can lose their salvation and I don’t know why but they always people fear that but I don’t have to get that. Well thank you Sam, I appreciate that Sam Colleian from Lakeland Florida. Of course, Adam was a sinner. By sinning we all become sinners by a nature passed on to us from Adam and Adam had to be saved like all the rest of us in the human race.

But Christ is the only one who is sinless and he of course took our sins upon himself and paid for them by his death so that we we could be eligible to enter heaven. We’re going to go now to John in Port Richie and John, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. I call Dr. Lindstrom. I’ve been viewing a less subject, ministries on CTN. I was wondering if you agree with me that he’s preaching sound doctrine. Well he is on this particular time period we’re in.

He believes in other ages, people were saved by works which I think is a blessing to me against Christ. So in other words he believes that between Peter and Paul they were saved by water baptism and turning from sin and then from Paul on they’re saved by grace. So he’s got it right for right now but he teaches the Old Testament they were saved by the law that Noah was saved by building the ark. If you just go to his website and take a look at that which according to the Bible Christ I had to pay for the sins of all human beings from Adam to the last man he would ever live and to deny that people were saved by Christ alone in the Old Testament or in any other time is a blasphemy against Christ.

Look if you will at Romans, rather excuse me, Acts 10, 43, Peter tells us to Yeshua or Jesus give all the prophets to it. That’s all the Old Testament writers that through his name, the name of Yeshua or Jesus, that whosoever believe within him in Christ in Jesus shall receive the remission of their sins. So nobody’s ever been saved by works. Nobody’s ever been saved by water baptism or by animal sacrifices or by building New York. Everybody’s been saved the same way.

So he’s right for this present time right now, but I believe Les felt as a major flaw in not seeing that salvation was by grace always. All right. Thank you, John. And you can see that on his website, I’ve looked it up and he makes it clear that people in other times, this is really what we call hyper dispensationalism, where salvation is made to be different in different times, and I totally disagree with that. Alright we have Brian in Tampa, Florida, and he says, is it possible for a believer to recover from a seared conscience?

And I believe the answer is yes. Your conscience may be seared. Excuse me. But as you get into the Word of God, obviously, God will cleanse your mind or heal your mind and renew your conscience. So I would recommend you stay in the Bible, Brian, and Lord can get your conscience unseared. All right. We want to take a look here at some of these offer questions. We have John in Warner, Robbins, Georgia calls in, leaves this question, did Satan inhabit the body of a serpent in the garden of Eden?

The answer is yes. How could that happen if Adam would give a dominion over the animals? Is information available about your view of creation? Yes. I have a number of CDs and you can call and order those. I think it would help, but certainly Satan is the God of this world. He was originally here when God originally created the earth and the universe, and he ruled over all of God’s angels and over all of the animals, and here he was in a fallen condition in the garden.

And we find that he definitely took on the form of a serpent. Perhaps serpents could walk. You know, scientists have discovered that they have a vestigial legs. And they of course misinterpreted and they say, well, they’re developing legs and one day they will walk. I believe it’s the other way around. I think they did walk and God took away their legs because the curse that they would now crawl on their stomach. So obviously the serpent used to have legs perhaps.

And so it didn’t look exactly like it did today, but it was a very beautiful creature. And Satan definitely did inhabit the body of a serpent in the Garden of Eden. Thank you for that question, John, and we’re now going to go to… He says, there’s no way he physically wrestled with Christ. Don’t you think by their minds they wrestled? I’m not too sure what he’s talking about. But if you’re talking about the story of Jacob wrestling with Christ, that was a literal wrestling.

In fact, he got an injury from that and he walked with a limp the rest of his life because of that wrestling. So it wasn’t his mind that he got an injury to his hip where he walked with a limp. the rest of his life. So if that’s what you’re talking about in Genesis with Jacob, wrestling with Christ, it was a physical wrestling match for sure. All right, thank you for that call, Anonymous in Tampa. We also have here Anonymous in Tampa.

We have a lot of Anonymous’s here. I don’t know if they’re related or not. Maybe they’re from one whole long line of Anonymous’s that have come down since the flood of Noah. I don’t know, but we’ll see. Anonymous in Tampa, will a person, will God punish, I guess, will God punish a person for divorcing even though there was no infidelity? They just don’t love their mate and never did. Well, you know, today people aren’t thinking. I think they just quickly go into a relationship with somebody without giving it much thought.

Obviously the Bible says that it’s obviously such a big decision. You need to give it some thought and not just married by impulse, but you need to get to know that person before you make your decision to choose to marry them because the Bible says it should be for a lifetime. Hopefully you will, if you’re in that situation, obviously God forgives it will not mean you can’t be saved if you trust the Lord of Savior no matter what sin you have committed or sins God will forgive you.

You become a child of God but obviously there’s a lot of pain associated with divorce and I don’t know of anybody that said that they got a divorce and didn’t have some pain that generally is ongoing because especially if they’re children this is going to connect you to the past and to that pain throughout your whole lifetime here and others that are related to you experience that same pain. I’m Dr. Inklynstern, this is by blind. Let me give you the phone number again.

It’s 1-800-576-3771-1-800-576-3771. We have a question here from Orlando in Orange City, Florida. He says, can you please He’s elaborate on Acts 4, 31 in conjunction with Acts 2, 4. Well, 4, 31 says, and when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness. In chapter 2, of course, we have the incident at Pentecost when they were in baptized with the Holy Spirit, in the vault with the Holy Spirit, all those things happened at the instant at Pentecost, which the baptism had never occurred before in the Old Testament.

This is something Brad knew it was the placing of the believer into the body of Christ. But the filling has to do with our yieldedness to the Spirit of God that comes into the believer. So the filling is something that you can and can experience today. But it’s not a repeat of Pentecost, at Pentecost, they were told to wait and they would be experiencing the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which was the placing of those believers into the body of Christ.

The body of Christ is still growing as believers are added every day that come to know Christ as Savior. They are added to the body of Christ when it’s complete, which it will be very shortly, I believe. The rapture will happen and the body of Christ, the church will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. So I think the question has to be with the filling. They were baptized with Holy Spirit, but in addition they were also yielded and filled and controlled by the Spirit of God.

They witnessed and led many people to Christ. Same thing happens here in chapter 4. They were filled and obviously they spoke the word with much boldness here as a result. Thank you Orlando. That was an offer of a question from Orange City, Florida. We have Barbara in St. Pete and Barbara, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Air. Thank you for taking my call my first time caller. Wonderful. And I have three very fast questions. One in the scriptures, I’m confused about it says that God hates sin and he can’t be around it, which is why he turned away from Christ on the cross as he took on our sins.

So I’m a new Christian. How can he have come into my heart and entwel to me when he’s a I can’t put the cigarettes down and I’m spinning so bad by smoking. So I feel I’ve already lost my salvation because I can’t quit smoking and I also feel no love for God because I’ve been so heavily medicated due to depression and anxiety that I’ve lost connection with my feelings and my heart and I feel guilty about that. Well, you need to not go by your feelings but go by God’s word.

And the Bible says that when you trust Christ, Barbara, you become positionally, judicially, declared righteous by God. So you have to believe what God says. And He says you become born again. You become a child of God. And of course, you’re His child now forever. And as you begin to grow as a Christian, obviously, feeling will follow the facts. And so as you believe the truth of God’s Word and act upon Him in your life, then feeling will come.

But we’re never to judge whether we’re saved or not by our feelings. And certainly, we are still sinners, all of us, after we’re saved. It says in 1 John 1 8, John the Apostle said, 60 years after he was saved. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. So that doesn’t mean that we should deliberately sin, but that we do sin and sometimes are habitual sins that are difficult to shake.

But the Holy Spirit in you can help you have victory over your sin of smoking or other sins that may be troubling you. But I would stay in the Word of God and I would even memorize some portions of Scripture that are meaningful to you. And in Philippians 4, as you think about the right kind of things that God tells us to think about, things that are of our truth, things that are lovely, things that are of good report and so on, you’re going to find the Bible says the peace of God will guard your heart as God guides you and directs your life.

And so I would recommend really getting into the Bible like you haven’t done before more than ever getting to God’s you’re going to find that he’ll help you, but you can’t lose your salvation, Barbara. So you have to believe the word on that. In John 6, 37, he says he would have no wise cast you out for any reason. And he promises in verse 39 he would not lose you. So you’re not keeping your salvation. If you think it’s in your keeping and that something you do will cause you to be lost, that’s not true.

Christ is keeping you saved and will keep you saved until you’re in heaven with him. In Ephesians 1,13 he says he seals you with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. So you’re going to wind up in heaven if you’re a believer in Christ and trusting Him alone to get you there. But don’t rely on your feelings. Go to God’s Word and God will create new feelings as you take in the Word of God this food that God has for you and me as a believer.

Okay, thank you very much. You’re welcome Barbara. And keep listening to my blog. that will help you stay in the world i think we’re going to come in chester virginia and tom won’t come to bible on your own ear you’re welcome i was just going to uh… in regards to met the twenty four look seventeen look twenty one and i believe it’s mark thirteen there i know you probably quite familiar with the discourses on the tribulation and in time and such.

Just hearing these disturbing reports quite a lot in different parts of the body of Christ that really seemed emphasized more and more that there is not a rapture. And I’m not sure of what your view is. I think your view is pre-trib. Absolutely. We are going out before the tribulation period. Yes, sir. And the Bible is so very specifically clear when it studied out early and sought out and it was speaking Saturday. I don’t remember his name and I wouldn’t want to go into that but he was really just really trying to lay out all these ideologies that he had about this generation and he was kind of, he’s kind of reading in instead of reading out what it sounded like to me to the person talking to him or the person that this meant that Present 1.

I know in those texts it does talk about particular things in that time, but it seems to me, and I’ll ask you to answer it, but it seems to me that the Lord clearly states all these ensuing events. He talks about that generation and what he was meaning, which points to the predolation of the tribulation, etc. What are your views? Many of the voices seem to be saying more and more, there is no such thing as the predolation of Rapture.

Well, you’re absolutely right. It’s part of the confusion and the apostasy of the last days. We have a wonderful book in our Resource Center here called The Rapture by Tim LaHaye. That does a good job. It’s one of the better books by LaHaye. And we also have another one called The In Time Controversy by Thomas Ice, which also really does present the pretrib position very strongly. I’ve got a run because the time is up. I keep looking up. Jesus is coming, Lord, we’ll be back tomorrow.
