The importance of this question can’t be overestimated in relation to both salvation and sanctification. The message of faith only and the message of commitment of life can’t both be the gospel; therefore, one of them is a false gospel and come under the curse of perverting the gospel or preaching another gospel.

We had our class last night, first and second thessalonians we had a full house, we had a lot of folks coming. What is amazing to me always is we have mostly men. The majority of those were men last night and we’re so glad that men are coming out to learn God’s word, men are coming to study and step up to the plate which is exciting. And by the way, there’s four more sessions, two hours each from 7 to 9 on Tuesday nights for four more Tuesdays, and we’ll do 10 hours of teaching on 1st and 2nd Thessalonians.
What an incredible two books they are. We’ve already covered doctrines like election, salvation, discipleship, the Trinity. and so many. I can’t even think of them all right now. But, and we’re just only getting started. This is an incredible survey of Bible doctrine as well as a study in the Bible. By the way, in our Resource Center we have a wonderful book by Lewis Perry Shafer, the founder of Dallas Theological Seminary. It’s called Major Bible Themes, and he comes to you He covers 52 major doctrines of the Bible in such a short and concise and beautiful way that you’ll really get a grip on the Bible real quickly.
Every chapter in there is only about five to seven pages long with a series of questions at the end of each one, and he covers 52 major doctrines in the Bible. Did you know that there were 52 major doctrines in the Bible? Most people don’t even know one or two doctrines much less 52. And this is a wonderful, wonderful book, easy reading and just a treasure called Major Bible Themes. And I believe it’s for gift of $25. That’s a great investment for your library.
We’re going to be offering the CDs of this course on Thessalonians in a few weeks when we conclude it. But we already have CDs available for the book of Revelation, the book of Daniel. The Book of Jude, the book of Romans, and the book of Hebrews, and about 40 different presentations. You might also want to get some of our DVDs. Anyway, this Sunday we have a dinner if you’re welcome to come by if you’re in the area. If you’re here during the week or in driving business, please come by and visit our Resource Center, open every day until about 4.30 in the afternoon.
We’re going to get into the Bible and then take our callers today. We are excited about what is happening in the world today. Are you watching the news? Obviously, they say an act of war has been declared against Israel by the Hezbollah in Lebanon. and they’ve captured a couple more Israeli soldiers and Israel is not going to take this lying down. Apparently their tanks and their warplanes are going in and Hezbollah is going to pay to a major price for this.
Israel is fighting some wars on two fronts down in the Gaza and also in the north. And obviously our friend over there and I ran his rallying his sword saying that he is ready to blow Israel off the map. And while wars and rumors of wars and then Japan is saying that she might do a primitive strike against North Korea and all kinds of things are happening. India and Pakistan are beginning to heat back up again. It looks like there’s wars and rumors of wars everywhere, signs of the end times.
In Matthew 24, when Jesus was asked what would be the sign of His coming, we find that He mentions quite a number of things. The first thing which he brings up is there would be many false Christ and false belief systems that would come up. And boy, we see that everywhere today. And he says, don’t be deceived. Many will come in my name and saying I am Christ and deceive many. So we see that for sure. And I’m not so many years.
And what he says there is that there would be many that would say that Jesus is Christ, but then they would disappear. And I can’t believe how many people will say in one breath, Jesus is Christ. And yet in the next breath, teach that salvation is by works or by a combination of faith plus works which is really what would make God’s offer salvation void. Paul says in Galatmisc. 221, I do not frustrate. The word frustrate from the Greek means the sword to nullify, to make void, to cancel.
He is a frustrate, or make void, or cancel the grace of God. For if righteousness come by the law, or by works, then Christ is in vain. In other words, they were adding works to Christ, and perverting the gospel by saying that you had to do things in addition to faith. Paul says that is making void the grace of God when you add anything to what Christ has done. Very strongly in chapter 1 of Relations in verse 8, though we are an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be a cursed.
Let me quote that again, though So we are an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached, let him be a cursed. Well obviously a lot of people today are coming under that curse. He said, I’m not going to say that you’re not going to be saved by your works. If you are trusting in any works at all, in addition to faith in Christ, you’re not saved. Because you cannot be saved by your works, and yet there are those who teach you to lose your salvation.
And if you do, then you’re really saying that how you live your life from now on out until you die determines your salvation. That’s works. That makes you the Savior, not Christ. Look at how many people fall into that error. Hold denominations believing you can lose your salvation. You can’t lose it. Jesus said in John 639, this is the Father’s will. That of all which you have given me, I should lose none, none, none, but raise them all up again at the last day.
You can’t be lost because you’re not keeping your salvation. Christ keeps you saved. And he says it is the Father’s will that he would not lose one, not one. If he had said he would lose one, all of my life I’d have to wonder, maybe I’m the one he’s going to lose. But you know I don’t have to panic. I don’t have to worry. I’m losing my salvation because Christ keeps me saved. And he promises that he would not lose even one.
Write that one in the book of the book of the refrigerator verse, worth writing right on your refrigerator. Of course you might want to just take a piece of paper and write it on, that means magnetic clips to refrigerator. But John 639, what a verse Christ says, it’s the Father’s will that he would not want. Think with me for just a moment. If one person in all history were ever lost, once they became saved, Christ would be a liar.
People would be wrong. But you might as well light a match to your Bible and walk away. Forget the whole thing. If you can’t trust it in one place. Well Christ said he would never lose each person. If you’ve trusted Christ, my friend, you’re saved forever. That doesn’t mean you can limit you please. But God will discipline or spank the delinquent. You’ll even take you home to heaven. When we’re watching biblical events take place in Christ also, said in 2024, there would be wars and rumors of wars, putting everywhere.
He tells us that it would be pestilences, incurable diseases, earthquakes and diverse places. We see it every day. And money goes on to say that Israel would be hated above all nations. And certainly it seems to be the king. But God said he would save Israel through all of these trials. The darkest hours are still a head for Israel. Israel has some hours ahead as she is hated, and the Muslim world hates Israel. You are watching it happen right now.
By the way, the Lord comes this year. Most likely it would be September 22nd. Now I’m not a date-centered and I did not say that Christ is pure. Now he might. But whatever year he comes he’ll probably come on the Feast of Trumpets. Remember there are seven feast days God gave to Israel all of a picture all of them are a picture of the first and second-comings of Christ. The first four were fulfilled literally on the day. Christ died on the Feast of Passover exactly when Israel was offering up their Passover Lamb.
He was buried in the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which spoke of his body. The burial of Christ rose from the dead on the Feast of First Roots Day. The picture of the resurrection had always occurred on a Sunday in Christ’s Rose exactly on that day. The fourth Feast of Pentecost was when this age began, when the Holy Spirit came and entwelt the believers of this age happened right on the day. Therefore, it’s reasonable to assume that the rest of the three feasts will also happen right on the day.
The next one, we believe, will in this age as Pentecost began this age and the Feast of Trumpets, Rosh Hashanah, this year occurs September 22nd. So if he comes this year and I’m saying only if he comes this year. It will happen perhaps September 22nd. Have you done any Rapture practice lately? That’s where you get out in the yard or on the parking lot and rock back and forth on your toes and heels and flap your arms a little bit and get loosened up and get ready to be taken up to meet the Lord in the year.
Obviously you don’t have to do that to be raptured. Every believer is going to be raptured but it’s exciting to think about. Watch the news. your eyes on Jerusalem, God said He would bring all nations against Jerusalem to battle. While he would bring all nations against Jerusalem to battle. Read it, Zachariah chapter 14 verse 2. And that was written about 2500 years ago. And look at how the Bible is tomorrow’s news today as that and we see it’s about to be fulfilled.
The nations of the world. It seems are gathering in their hatred against this nation of Israel and the focus today is in the Middle East because of the oil. And all nations are going to gather in the Middle East against Jerusalem Wow, the Bible is an incredible book. We’re gonna go to the phone lines. We got lots of people out there waiting we’re gonna go to Brian in Alberta, Alabama and Welcome to Bibleline Brian. How you doing today? Good One six and two one Exactly Who are they?
Yeah The sons of God are believers. In particular, the sons of Job, his daughters and sons were believers. They come together to worship the Lord. They are the sons of God. It’s certainly not angels. The scene is occurring on the earth, not in heaven. Again, Hebrews 1-5, if you jot that down, God never called an angel his son. that ends that whole argument right there. Hebrews 1-5 says, under which the angels did God at any time say, Now art my son.
The implied answer in that verse is he never did. He never called an angel his son. The Bible actually tells us in Hebrews that we were created lower than the angels, but when we get saved that we’re raised in position to be higher than the angels. So these are not angels. They are believers. As John 1-12 tells us to as many as we would receive Christ, to them God gave authority for them to become the sons of God, to those that believe on His name.
When you trust Christ, you become born again and you become the son or daughter in God’s family. But in in Joe one six it talks about how the devil and It has it the sons of God are you know are With a They’re all in present with the the Lord right there They came to worship the Lord and Satan also came among them also. If you read the context a little bit further down, the Lord says to Satan, where did you come from?
He said from roaming, to and from up and down on the earth. the scene is on the earth and whenever believers gather, I’m sure Satan, if not himself, with his angels that are fallen with him, are gathering intelligence and they’re present. I believe angels are watching and thank God God has his angels that are guardians to us that watch over as the protectors from the Satan’s angels. But this was Satan observing the worship of the believers there and Job’s sons in particular.
So these are believers coming to worship the Lord and Satan’s right there. And then of course God brags on Job and Satan says, yeah, he’s such a good guy because you keep a hedge around him and protect him from me. But you just let me have at him and he’ll curse you. And of course, got a lot of him to do that, but it never happened. Hey question Brian. All right, thank you very much. You’re very welcome. That was Brian in Alberta, Alabama, listening on our station out of Mobile, Alabama.
We’re now going to Bill in Valrico, Florida and Bill. Welcome to my blind year on the air. Bill, are you there, Bill? Hello, Bill. I think Bill must have dropped off somehow. And we are now going to go to. Let’s see here. We have George and Palm Beach Gardens. George, are you there? Yes. Good morning. Good morning. First of all, I have a question on your list of beliefs that matter. Yeah, go ahead. I was looking this over again to hand it off to someone.
I got a little confused. I don’t know if I’ve missed something here or what, but the last two things. The second coming of Christ in a rapture. Rapture. You have the second coming of crisis next to last and then the last one on the list is the Rapture and it says the Rapture is the next event on guys calendar. I read that to mean it comes after. The way this is lined up. Well, I know it’s not lined up in chronological sequence, but it’s lined up perhaps as the most important thing.
And I left it last as the rapture for us because we’re going to be caught up in that rapture. But the next event, the order is the rapture happens next. Right. Then the tribulation period, then the second coming at the end of that seven year period. And then the thousand year reign of Christ, this Christ will establish His kingdom at that point. Well, Maybe I’ll rearrange it in the world. That was a little confusing because I read the second coming of Christ and then the next thing.
For someone who doesn’t know the scripture of the coming of Christ. It’s a good point. I can easily move that and I’ll probably change that because of your suggestion. I thank you. Thank you. And here’s my question here. I doubt it. But the new heaven and the new earth, right? The scripture says we won’t have the question about the wives. Well, do you think that God will repoculate the New Earth and if so, what’s the difference between the church as soon would be in New Jerusalem?
Once the 1000 Uranus ended, there was a freeze on, there was no new population or new creation of humans or angels. a fixed number. So all the saved according to Revelation 21 are the ones that will enter into the New Jerusalem and enjoy the new earth. And so they are the redeemed from planet earth from Adam till the end of the thousand year in a price. Only those that are saved will enter into that and there’s not going to be any children or poor creations.
So the number will be constant throughout eternity. So let me know repopulation. No. 20-2030 says we will be like the angels that as they don’t marry, need to do we are given in marriage and we won’t have children, 20-30. I’m going to hang up, but would you expound on your findings about the New King James? Sure, okay. The New King James, I was hoping that they would just take the these and those and bring it up to speed and clarify some of the archaic words that are in the King James, but they didn’t do that.
They did more than that. They obviously have changed the text in several places. One of those is Manti 7, which seems to imply works for salvation. And it says narrow is the way that leads unto life. They put hard and or difficult. And that’s a different concept. That seems to imply that you have to work at it to get there, and that’s not what it’s saying at all. When it says narrow is the way, it’s talking about the exclusiveness that it’s only through Christ that you get to heaven, not of the fact that there’s any difficulty to it.
Salish is the gift of God. It’s free. All we have to do is come and take of the water of life freely. It tells us in Revelation 22, 17. So they certainly messed that up. Also, you know, it’s interesting that they use as a symbol right in the front cover of the New King James, the pagan symbol of the Trinity, which is used in Satanic groups, musicians like Zeb Leplin and others use that symbol on the covers of their albums.
And so obviously why would they choose that? It seems like such a contradiction to have something that is pagan and used with Satan on the cover of the holy word of God. But in any case, there are verses that they do twist around and I believe that they went beyond what they really should have done with the New King James, so I can’t recommend it. We have a sheet that exposes a lot of the different doctrines that are affected by the changes and we’ll send it out to you free.
If you’d like to get that, we’re going to go now to Bill and Bill is in Valrico for the bill. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Okay. Okay. You’re on. You’re on question? Yes, I do have a question. Fire away. Go. You’re on the air. Oh, okay. I’m on the air. Oh, yeah. Okay. Good. All right. Okay, alright, I have actually two questions. And the two questions are, okay, I believe it’s in the gospel of Matthew where Jesus says to the thief on the cross that he will be with me today in paradise.
Yeah, that’s sweet. 23. 43. Okay. OK, and none of the other gospels record that they say that they all. Well, it also says that in Luke 2 in that passage, as it began, both thieves reviled him. But then as time went along, the one thief apparently reasoned it out and put his trust in Christ. And Christ said today, that shall be with me in paradise. but both all the hospitals say that they reviled it but i got couldn’t i’d never do anybody that the answer that and okay the second question absolutely okay winds up in the lake of fire does that sort of negate that or well i’m not too sure exactly how that works because uh…
it doesn’t really explain it but apparently some will uh… maybe it’ll be hotter i don’t know uh… but in any case uh… satan is the worst punished in hell and then his angels and then those of mankind. And some sins are going to bring about a greater degree of punishment than others. And I think primarily they’re in the realm of spiritual sins. That is the amount of light you rejected if you rejected Christ and also how you received the word of God or did you reject it and so on.
We’re going to be on a break now, so I can’t do much more right now. So stay tuned, we’ll be right back in just a minute to do the second half of Bible Life. Don’t go away, Bible Life will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Inklyn Shrim. This is Bible Life and we’re so glad to be able to be with you today. Let me remind you that tomorrow is our television day.
We’re on tomorrow morning at 7am on the dish network on Angel1 on Sky Angel. We’re also on 8 o’clock in the Tampa Bay area on more television channel 32. We’re on direct TV nationwide at 6.30pm Eastern Standard Time tomorrow night. And so if you have direct TV you can catch us on channel 321. And then of course in the western coast of Florida at 7 we’re on the Christian television network. But you know the wonderful thing is now you can go to our TV programs 24 7 on the internet that’s right We’re on there if you go to my website by blind ministries that oarg or calm all you have to do is click on the spinning globe and you’ll be connected to radio and You’ll hear today show or you can go into archives and hear the past programs If you click on the little television set on the home page in the upper right-hand corner
you’ll be connected to our television programs. Well, we’re excited about that. And so basically, we’re on radio and television worldwide on the internet. And in the month of May, we haven’t got the results yet. I need to inquire. But in May, we had 10,300 listeners through the Bible and radio program on the internet. So that’s exciting. And we believe that audience is growing. And we believe now that we have the television opportunity we’re going to get many many more that will switch over and watch television and listen to the radio and you can tell your friends anywhere in the world at any time of day and they can go to that again we need uh…
your support to keep by blind going into expand by blind and so without our partnership with our listeners we could not be on the air and that’s a real partnership it really is we’re not trying to get anybody’s money we really are but we are trying to get the gospel out and It requires money to pay the radio bills. I don’t get paid to be on the radio, nor does our staff get paid to be on the radio. We really do this because we want this gospel to go out.
But we do have to pay the stations. We have many other expenses. Our phone lines, special digital lines that take us to Detroit. There we have to pay to be up on the satellite. Then the radio stations pull us off the satellite. We have to pay the radio stations. So basically we are totally dependent upon our listeners. We don’t have a piggy bank, we don’t have a recurnt reserve account, we don’t have pledges, we don’t have subscribers, we don’t have people underwriting us, we just trust God to supply through our listeners.
Maybe he would like to help us. Call my operators are standing by right now. They’ll tell you how you can give a gift by credit card over the phone or how you might get our address and mail a gift to Bibleline. We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break and do Bibleline Part 2. So please keep your radio dial right where it is and we’re going to come right back with the second half of Bibleline. What do you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr.
Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright we’re finished with that break and now we’re doing the second half of Bible. And by the way, we’re streaming this program right now to the internet. Go to our website, BibleLineMinistries.org.com, and you’ll be able to catch this program again and again and again and again. And you can go into archives and get your past programs. We’re coming to you live from our studios in Tampa at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor.
And if you live in the driving distance, this coming Sunday would be a great Sunday to come by. We’re going to have a dinner, and those are always great Sundays. You can come and join us for the 1030 service. Be my guest, bring your Bible, your family, your appetite, and then stay and join us for a wonderful dinner. We have some of the best cooks in all the world and you’ll get to sample lots of different wonderful foods. And we’ll have some great fellowship and usually special music and a great time.
You’re welcome to come on the third Sunday of every month and this coming Sunday is the third Sunday. We’re gonna have our vacation Bible school beginning on Monday if you have children, primarily elementary age and some in the junior high age will begin Monday through Friday from 8 till noon. It’s free and we hope to reach a lot of boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and!–teach a memory versus and get them into the Bible and get them grounded and point them in the right direction while we sure need more of that today in this world where boys and girls are needing to hear about Jesus.
pray for us as we have our vacation Bible schools with traditional kind in the day time and the kids will have a ball and we’re looking forward to being with the boys and girls. Also we are excited about our television programs now being streamed to the internet and you can catch our TV programs now actually in advance of when they get aired on the television set so you might want to take a look and that’s going by going to our website by blindministries.org.com Click on the little TV setup in the upper right hand corner of the home page and you got it made.
By the way, tomorrow is our television day and tomorrow morning will be on at 7 o’clock on the dish network on Angel 1 on Sky Angel. At 8 o’clock in the Tampa Bay area will be on more television, Channel 32. At 7 o’clock it’s Channel 12 I think on your cable. table. And also, at 6.30 in the evening, we’ll be on direct TV. That’s nationwide. We have a fellow who regularly watches us out there in Alaska who is enjoying that program that comes to him on our television program that goes out to the whole nation.
And so we here He calls us about once a week, certainly enjoying our shows. We have him from Alaska and all up and on the West Coast of the United States all the way up to Maine and the upper right-hand corner of our country right on down to Florida. Everything in between people are watching Bibleline television. Tomorrow night at 6.30, we’re nationwide on World Harvest Television on Direct TV, Channel 3, 2, 1, and 7. We’re all over the West Coast of Florida on cable.
the Christian Television Network programming at 7 tomorrow night. Please join us for Bible and on TV and of course on the website now you can watch our programs 24-7, go back and review them and by the way we have the podcasting so you can if you have a video iPod you can download our programs and carry them with you wherever you go. Payforce we certainly cannot live without our partnership with our listeners, you are the ones because of your prayers and your gifts to Bibleline allow us to be on the air.
Isn’t that exciting? And I know the devil is not happy with the message of Bibleline going out. He is steaming mad, I am sure, as he tries to do everything to prevent us from being on the air. stronger than Satan. Greater is he, the Bible says, that is in you than he, Satan, that is in the world. And the Holy Spirit in us certainly can override whatever Satan wants to do. So pray for us that we would continue to have God’s blessing and that the Lord would supply through people just like you who enjoy the program and would like to be a part of supporting it.
And I know your rewards in heaven will be great as you invest in eternity. Got lots of offer questions. If we can, we have Ken down in Sarasota, Florida and Ken, welcome to Bibleline your on the air. Ken, are you there? I Apparently went away and we’re gonna try to see what happened again And then we’re gonna go to Phil in St. Petersburg Phil in St. Pete. Welcome to Bibleline Good morning dr. Lynchroom. How you doing this morning good good?
I was wondering sir if I like your opinion on this book by Jim McKeever revelation for laymen I would like to get your opinion on spoken speak that up well then if he says that then he’s wrong Right, right, right. So I wouldn’t read anymore He’s you know generally when they’re flawed in an area as a bigger flaws that is they’re flawed in other areas as well and Obviously doesn’t know how to rightly divide the word of truth the church is unique and has been slipped between the two companies of Christ in God’s purpose for Israel was postponed, but it’s going to pick up once the rapture happens, and the Church, the body of Christ, does not belong in the tribulation period.
It’s a time, it says in Jeremiah chapter 30 of Jacob’s trouble. It’s a time where God is going to refine Israel and prepare her for the return of the Messiah. I would recommend Charles Ryrie’s book on Revelation, or John Walvern’s book on Revelation, or Clarence Larkin’s book on on Revelation or my CD series on Revelation. I think that would help you know. Put the other one back on the shelf and pick it up again. Okay, thank you sir. Alright Phil, thank you for calling and we are seeing a lot of confusion.
I did a 12 hour series on the Rapture covering all the different positions, the pre-trib Rapture, the mid-trip rapture, the partial-trip rapture, the pre-rath rapture, and so on and so on and so on. And then, of course, exposing why they’re wrong. And I love, as we pointed out yesterday, in 1 Thessalonians 1-10, if the tribulation period were going to come before the rapture, then why in the world, as the Bible say, were to wait for God’s Son from heaven, who has delivered us from the wrath to come?
If the tribulation refers to it, it tells the weight for the tribulation. But the Bible tells us not to wait for tribulation, but to wait for Jesus who is going to deliver us from the tribulation. So I think the Bible is pretty clear and people are not really studying the Bible very carefully. They don’t believe what they read when they see it. Well we have William in Tampa, Florida and William. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr.
Liss. in my long time listener. I have a question to ask regarding I was told that there was somewhere in the Bible where it sleeps of a white stone in heaven with our name on it. That’s in Revelation chapter 2. When you get to heaven, Christ is going to give a white stone to every believer. Apparently that’s a diamond. We’re His bride. And the tradition when a couple get married is that the bride is given a diamond and it comes right from that and out of the Bible and apparently it’s going to be a significant size rock because our name is going to be engraved in it.
So even us men, every one of us in this church age, you are believers of the bride of Christ and we’re going to get a white stone one day as Christ bride. So but we don’t know what our name is going to, well I guess we’ll have a different name than we have here on earth i think we will and i think some people maybe get another name in the mention us all became paul uh… uh… simon became peter uh…
and uh… we see uh… jake became israel abrum became a barham sarah became sarah on and so uh… i think that is uh… an indication of what our new name might be okay so it’s not going to be one of those Roman names. Oh no, no, no. But you know, just like when parents have a child, they have the privilege of being able to name their baby. Right. And God, when we become born again, apparently gives us… He is our Heavenly Father and our parent.
He has a new name. He has not right to give us a name that suits him. I’m sure going to be real happy with our new name. Right. Okay. Thank you very much. You’re welcome, William. That was William in Tampa, Florida calling in today. We have a lot of offer questions. We’ll try to take a couple of these. We have an anonymous caller from New York listening up there out of either Utica or Albany where we’re on the air.
He says before and after resurrection what happened to the unsaved? Obviously the unsaved when they die are absent from the body and present in Hades. Luke 16, beginning in verse 19 to the end of the chapter, describes what happens to the unsaved dead. There’s a rich man there who dies and immediately he is in the heart of the earth upon death and he’s in flame and torment and he’s still there by the way and they await uh… the uh…
casting of satan is angels in the hell after the thousand rent of price and then everybody in the human race according to revelation chapter twenty is brought up out of haities given a resurrection body judge according to their works assigned a degree of punishment and hell and cast into hell after satan is angels are cast there He also says, are Hades and hell the same? The answer is no. Hades is like a holding tank, a place of flaming and torment.
It’s not a purgatory. You don’t ever get out of going to hell when you’re in Hades. Everybody in Hades will wind up in hell. But hell is the eternal lake of fire where a person will be tormented day and night forever and ever. What is it like there, according to the question? It’s obviously described pretty well in Revelation 20 verse 10. It says they’ll be tormented day and night forever and ever. Not a fun place to be. Nobody has to go to hell.
Everyone and anyone who’s so ever that would believe on Christ, the Bible said, would not perish, which would mean you would not experience the second death, which is to be cast into hell. But you would have everlasting life because Christ perished in your place. Alright, we have John in Richmond, Virginia, and he says, explain John 5, 20 through 29. Well, that’s a hefty passage, and I’m sure we could spend a considerable amount of time on it. Let me take a look at it real quick.
I believe in verse 29 is the key to this whole thing in John 5. Jesus answered and said unto them, this is the work of God that you believe on Christ. Well, they had asked what work shall we do that we might work the works of God. Well, the work of God was done by God in Christ on the cross of Calvary. And so, when we believe on the work that God did on Calvary, you know Christ said it is finished.
And so Christ came to do the work of the Father and that work was accomplished on the cross and He paid our sin debt in full. And when we believe on Christ and that He died for us, then we have received God’s work, which is the work of salvation. Over to the book of Acts it says there, as it quotes God, I work or work in your time in which many of you will not believe. And of course that was the work that took place at Calvary that our sins were taken and laid upon Christ and He paid for them in full.
So I believe that’s probably the question you’re asking at the end of that portion of chapter 5 verse 29 where you believe on Christ and then you’re saved. Alright, we have first Timothy 2.15, Joyce in Charlotteville, New York calls in and she says, women shall be saved through childbearing. I explain. I believe that God was going to, as a part of the curse, because of Eve taking of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of an evil, that women would go through a lot of pain as they bring a child into this world.
Every woman, I’m sure, will attest to, has had a child that childbearing is pretty painful. But yet it says that they would be saved through childbearing. So in other words, they would be delivered physically, they would survive. And for the most part, most women do, although there are some who die. In the act of bringing a child into the world, women do survive the pains of childbirth and bring that child into the world. But it’s a part of the curse because of Eve’s sin back in the garden.
Apparently, if she hadn’t sinned, childbirth would have been a breeze. And women would not have to go through the pain that they go through when they bring that child into the world. Thank you for that call, Joyce, and we’re glad you’re listening up there in Charlottesville, New York. We apparently have quite a few listeners, and that station reaches over across into Massachusetts and a little bit into Connecticut, and we know we have listeners up there listening to those two FM stations that were on up in that area.
Stephen Tampa calls in and he leaves an off-air question and he says, please explain worship salvation. Well, that is where some Bible teachers attach what is called Lordship to the plan of salvation, saying that you must submit yourself to the Lordship of Christ, nor do we say it. In other words, it’s salvation by works. This is a continuance thing. You know, it’s amazing that the Bible teaches that salvation is received by an act of faith at the moment you trust Christ.
Lordship Solvation is really saying that you have to continue to obey the Lord and submit to His Lordship in order to be saved. Well guess what, that’s a wrong answer. And you know, there are those who in Matthew 7, if you look up this verse in verse 22, who acknowledge the Lordship of Christ, but because they’re trusting in their obedience to the Lordship of Christ, aren’t saved at all. Look at what it says in Matthew 722. Jesus said, many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, and then they brag about three areas of submitting to His Lordship.
Why we preached in Your Name, we healed in Your Name, we did many wonderful works in Your Name, and look at what Christ says. In verse 23, Christ says, and then I’ll say unto them, I never knew You. Not I once knew You and I lost You, but I never knew You, depart from Me, either work in equity. The Lordship Salvation will take you to hell because these in Matthewutils 722 recognized his Lordship. They said, Lord, Lord, and then they submitted themselves to the Lordship of Christ and were dependent upon their submission to his Lordship for their Salvation.
They said in three areas we are bragging now, we preached in your name, healed in your name and we did wonderful works in your name and Christ said, I’m sorry, that’s the wrong answer. If they had only said, Lord, didn’t you die on the cross of Calvary and by your death and shed blood totally paid our sin debt. And you finished the work of salvation, you were buried, you came back from the dead, and I trusted in your death and shed blood as the only means of isolation.
Christ would have said, come on in! But these people notice are doing exactly what God’s plan of salvation eliminates, and that’s bragging and boasting. Ephesians 2 9, the salvation is not of works, lest any man should boast or brag. And so these people are boasting and bragging. Look at it, Matthew 722. Lord, Lord, they recognized the Lordship of Christ. Then they submit to the Lordship of Christ. They say, look at what we did. Why we preached in your name, we healed in your name, we did wonderful works in your name.
And Christ said, I’m sorry. I never knew you. You’re not saved by Lordship. You are saved by the death and shed blood of Jesus. Thank you for that question Steve, I hope that helped answer it. There are some popular people on the radio right now that teach Lordship is a part of the planet’s salvation. That’s unfortunate. It is a lie, it is not true. That’s what Paul talked about in Galatians 1. If we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you and that which we have preached to you, let him be a cursed.
That’s an accursed message. As soon as you add some human contribution to what Christ did. Can you imagine how the meaning that is? Christ leaves heaven, goes to the cross, sheds his sinless blood on the cross, and then you say, well look, I’ll pitch in my two cents here and I’ll add a little bit of extra to that and help myself get into heaven by preaching or by this or by that and my good works. That’s an insult to God.
You are really diminishing what Christ did by saying that you could contribute at all to what God and flesh did for you at the cross. Shame on you if you teach that or believe that and you’ll be lost if you do because you’ll never get to heaven if you add any work to salvation. Angela in Lakeland calls in another offer question. You mentioned that there are no baby angels. Angels then do babies die? I’m not sure how the question is worded if I got it right.
But there are no baby angels. No humans never become angels. So if you’re saying that infants or children are like little angels, that’s certainly a mistake. When I had somebody ask me a year or two ago, they said, my friend Bob died. Do you think Bob’s an angel in heaven today? I think you’ve been watching too much television or angels in the outfield or some Hollywood production. The Bible tells us that angels will never become anything but angels and humans are always going to be humans.
And if you are a believer, of course you become a child of God and you are going to be in heaven with the Lord forever. But children below the age of accountability go to heaven and when they get there they are going to have adult mature bodies and the Bible is very clear about that. Let me give you a good reference Angela. In 2nd Samuel 1223 David had a child by Bathsheba, the baby became ill. For seven days David fasted and wept and prayed for this child’s life but then the child died and then the Bible tells us that David said the child will not return to me but i’m going to be with my child we know david went to heaven the twenty-third song tells us that he said in the sixth verse surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and i will
well in the house of the world forever david newes going to heaven and he knew that he would see his baby died at seven days old heaven so babies go to heaven but there are no baby angels angels were all created adult mature and they appear as men. There are no female angels, there are no baby angels, angels don’t have sex, they don’t have babies. They don’t have wings. And the most amazing thing I discovered in my study of the Bible is there’s not one reference anywhere in the Bible that tells us that angels sing anything.
Now that is a shock, isn’t it? At Christmas time, all the Christmas hymns talk about choruses of angels and oh how the angels sang and heart the herald angels sing. There’s no reference anywhere, anywhere in the Bible, than an angel ever sang anything. A lot of people point to Luke 2 and they said, well didn’t that host of angels at the the shepherd’s field sing to the shepherds and the answer is no. It says that this multitude of this heavenly host, it says they said they spoke saying, Lord God in the highest and on earth, peace good will toward men.
They didn’t sing it, they spoke it. Interesting, but there is no reference to angel singing. That’s not an important point, but it shows you how much we get of the Bible wrong because we don’t read the Bible for ourselves. Alright we have Mike in Pompano, Florida. In the Old Testament it says a woman has a little crucible and a handful of meal in the barrel. Only enough to feed her family. Man of God comes and says he needs food.
Okay brother comes and needs food and says know, only enough of the family. In this particular case, obviously the lady was apparently a woman of faith who believed God who spoke through the prophet Elijah there and Elijah and he blessed her for her, putting the Lord first. You know when you put the Lord first God will take care of your needs. In Matthew chapter 6, when it talks about food and clothing and all of our needs, in verse 31 of Matthew chapter 6, Jesus said, If you put the Lord first, and his righteousness, then he will take care of all of your other needs.
But a lot of people put the Lord last. And here this lady put the Lord first, and obviously she never, during that entire time of famine ever ran out of oil or meal. She had plenty of food for the rest of that whole time of famine. But again, she was a woman of faith and she believed the man of God who really told her basically what God was telling her. And you have to be able to discern between just the guy on the street that asks you for food and you’re not to give away your last meal necessarily to that person.

Okay, we Don’t have really anymore time But I do want to urge you if you’re listening today and you haven’t trusted Jesus as your only hope of reaching heaven That you would do that right now just whisper prayers.
Hey Lord. I’m a sinner I recognize my inability to save myself, my works cannot save me, and I simply trust in Christ. That’s my only hope of heaven that His death and shed blood is the soul means by which I can enter heaven. When you trust Christ alone, by faith alone God saves you. Then make that second choice to live for Christ and God is going to bless you for your faithfulness in living for Christ. We got to go on.
