Bibleline Radio Show – 2006-07-13 – Wars and Rumors of War

Are we seeing prophecy fulfilled? Are we in the latter days? Could Christ rapture us out at any moment? I believe the answer to all these questions is yes. If the prophecies are of events that will happen after we leave at the rapture, and we can see many of these occurring today, then we must be very close to the rapture.

Good morning and welcome to Bibleline great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast We appreciate you and all of our listeners and look forward to being with you every day Monday through Friday Here on Bible and as we come to you live from Tampa, Florida From our studios here at the Calvary Community Church where I am the pastor We’re located right next to Tampa’s International Airport easy to find from anywhere in the Tampa Bay area Because all you have to do is find the airport all the major roads are headed right into the airport.

It makes it easy to come find us. And on the west side, the road that borders the airport on the west running north and south is Eisenhower Boulevard at the beginning of the Veterans Expressway. One block further west running north and south is George Road and there we are right there at 4811 George Road between Memorial and Hillsborough for avenues in Tampa, Florida. By the way, we’re teaching those classes on Tuesday nights. Now we have four more weeks to go in a five-week series.

Two hours per every Tuesday night from seven till nine, seven till nine every Tuesday night. We’re studying first and second Thessalonians. And what a wonderful, rich study that is. You will not want to miss any of this if you can possibly drive in and get in on the classes you’ll enjoy. And we’ve got four more weeks to go, eight more hours of teaching, and also you can order these series on CD. And we will obviously conclude in a few weeks.

Then in September, we’ll be offering three new classes on Tuesday nights, and we’ll begin one at 6. 31 at 7.30, one at 8.30 and run for 10 weeks and do 10 hours of teaching on each of those topics. We haven’t announced those topics yet and we’re still open if you have a suggestion and we’re excited about the fall classes as well. So this Sunday by the way is the third Sunday of the month. We’re going toetsk if you’re in driving distance we want you to come out and join us for the morning worship at 10 30 and then stay for dinner.

Be my guest. Bring your Bible. Bring your appetite and stay for a wonderful fellowship and dinner after the worship service this Sunday. That’s right, come at 10.30. Join us, be my guest, and stay for dinner. It’s a great Sunday to come on out. We will be having a baptism coming up in August about a month away. If you have not been water baptized since you have been saved, you might want to be included and we’ll be happy to include you in that baptism.

It’ll be on a Sunday afternoon, probably the third Sunday in August if you’ve not been baptized. Since your salvation experience water baptism doesn’t save if you were baptized as an infant doesn’t count No such thing as infant baptism in the Bible if you were baptized before you got saved doesn’t count because baptism For the believer is a testimony of how you’ve been washed of your sin by the blood of Jesus Christ And we’re gonna immerse people and it’ll be a beautiful wonderful spiritual experience to give testimony to your faith in Jesus Christ and how you were cleansed by the blood of Christ by water baptism.

So if we could be of service and you’d like to be baptized in our baptismal service coming over in August, we’d like to invite you to join us. We’re going to get into the Bible in just a few minutes, but we do want to remind you that this is our television day and tonight at 6.30 you can catch us on direct TV nationwide on World Harvest Television Channel 3-2-1. 3-2-1. And of course also at 7 o’clock we’re on the Christian television network all up and down the West Coast over to Orlando on cable.

And so at 7 o’clock you can catch Bibleline again. And of course we’re streaming our television and radio programs right now to the internet. so you can go to my website by the line ministries dot org or dot com click on that We have about 20 TV programs in the archive and you can go to the program for the week and it’s all about the troubles in the Middle East right now. Well, we’re excited about the Lord’s coming and certainly if you’re watching the news, we are watching in-time events.

the program for the week and it’s all about the troubles in the Middle East right now. Well, we’re excited about the Lord’s coming and certainly if you’re watching the news, we are watching in time events. Israel is in the middle of it all. Look at what is happening if you just didn’t catch the news yet. Israel has now taken out the runways of the Brute Airport, has a naval blockade off the because of Lebanon so that people can’t come or go by ships.

And of course this is to stop the flow of weapons that are being flown into the brood airport by the Hezbollah and also coming in by ship. And Israel is obviously trying to protect herself against this terrorism that all of our neighbors apparently are participants in. You know the Bible says in the last days that the neighbors of Israel would all hate her and we are seeing it. And also it tells us that they would not know what God thinks about all this and therefore they would try to destroy Israel.

Let me quote to you from the Prophet Mica where it says in verse 11, and this is about the end times if you read this passage it begins in verse 1 by saying in the last days, in the last days and it says it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord, that is Jerusalem, shall be established in the top of the mountains and it shall be exalted above the hills and people shall flow into it and many nations shall come and say, come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord.

That’s Jerusalem to the house of the God of Jacob. That’s the third temple that will be rebuilt, we believe shortly in the near future and he He will teach us of his ways, and will walk in his paths, for the law shall go forth out of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Christ will be back, Christ will be ruling over the earth from Jerusalem. It will be the world’s capital. It’s talking here about the last days, but just prior to that happening, after the rapture during the tribulation, and we already see it occurring now, that’s why we believe we have got to be close.

It says in verse 11 of Micah chapter 4. Now also many nations are gathered together against the and is talking about Israel. And they say let Israel be defiled and let our eye be upon Zion or Jerusalem. Isn’t that amazing? That’s what’s happening right now. You’re reading the news in the Prophet Micah about twenty-eight hundred years ago and we’re seeing it play out in our headlines and on our television sets at this very hour. But they want Israel destroyed and they want to take Jerusalem as their capital.

Verse 12 just amazes me. Micah chapter 4 verse 12, but they know not the thoughts of the Lord, but they know not the thoughts of the Lord. They don’t read the Bible. They don’t believe the Bible. And it says here, neither understand they, God’s counsel. it gives on to say here, for he will gather them as sheaves into the fore, talking about the judgment and how these nations will be judged by God on the threshing floor over in the Middle East.

It says in verse 13, the picture of a threshing floor, a rise in thresh, O daughter of Zion, that is the children that of descendants of Jerusalem from twenty and hundred years ago, the Jews that are right now back in their land, for I will make thy horn iron and I I’ll make the hoofs brass and I shall beat in pieces many people. Israel is going to become victorious. Christ will come back and fight for Israel as he once did before when they came out of Egypt.

And as God defeated the number one superpower nation in the world at that time Egypt, he will defeat the nations that are enemies of Israel today. And he says here, I will consecrate their gain unto the Lord, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth. You know, God promised Abraham, way back there in the book of Genesis, that he would give Israel all the land from the river Euphrates. That’s in Iraq, all the way down to the river Nile.

That’s then in Egypt. They’ve never possessed all of that land. But today it’s occupied by those of the Islamic faith. And apparently, after the Rapture during the tribulation period, there won’t be many of and will come to know that Christ is their Savior. When Christ comes back He will destroy every unbeliever on the earth, no matter where they live. In all different countries and nations, but apparently most all of the people living in the 22 countries that surround Israel that hate Israel are of the Islam faith, a false belief system.

Christ will destroy them and the Bible says their land and their treasures. All of their resources will become Israel’s Israel will own all the land from the river Euphrates down to the ground. You can see how that can happen because these people are obviously far from the Lord and they’re practicing a murderous religion which kills innocent people in order to accomplish their purposes. They believe that if you are not of the Islamic faith, you are an infidel and you are to be hunted down and killed if you read the Quran.

The fundamentalist Islamic are putting that into practice as we speak. Jesus is going to come back and he is going to defeat the nations of this world and set of his kingdom on the earth, I like what it says in Haggai, chapter 2. It says, for thus saith the Lord of Host, this is chapter 2 of Haggai in verse 6, yet once it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land, and I will shake all nations.

And the desire of all nations, that’s Jesus, shall come. And I’ll fill this house, which is the temple in Jerusalem that will be rebuilt right after the Rapture with glory, because Jesus will enter into that temple and establish His throne in the temple, on the temple mount in Jerusalem, and Jerusalem will become the world’s capital. I will shake all nations. It says in verse 7 of Haggai chapter 2, And the desire of all nations, Jesus shall come, And I will fill this house, the temple injures from them that will be rebuilt after the rapture, With glory, saith the Lord of hosts.

And that third temple, when Christ gets them refurbishing it, will be more glorious than even the temple of Solomon, which was really quite a thing to see, a sight to behold. It says in verse 9 here, the glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former. He is talking about this temple in Jerusalem, the latter one, the one that will be established after the rapture during the tribulation period that Christ will come back to and fill with his glory, it says here the glory of this latter house shall be greater than that of the former that was Solomon’s temple, say of the Lord of Host, and then it says in this place will I give peace.

There is no peace in Israel right now. There’s no peace in the Middle East. It doesn’t appear like there’s any peace in the world. Japan is threatening to do a print through strike against North Korea, North Korea is is fueling the rockets ready to fire some more rockets. India and Pakistan are rattling their sabers. They both have nuclear weapons and it seems like everywhere you look in the world this wars and rumors of wars but Jesus will bring peace to Jerusalem and then Isaiah says that peace will flow like a river under the ends of the earth.

Once Jesus comes back and brings peace to Jerusalem. That’s why it says in the Psalms, pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Because as Jerusalem goes, so goes the world. And Jerusalem is not at peace. The world is not at peace. But once Jerusalem is at peace, when Jesus Christ returns, then peace will flow like a river to the ends of the earth and the whole earth will be at peace. Aren’t After the return of Christ, first the rapture, which could happen at any time, perhaps this year, and out would go, and a temple would be rebuilt in Jerusalem, and the tribulation period would be underway.

And ultimately the nations would come to war in the Middle East against Israel. Christ would come back, fight for Israel, defeat those armies, destroy every unbeliever on the face of the earth, only believers, those who get saved after the rapture during the tribulation will be left alive to live into the thousand-year rule of Christ. Where the earth will be at peace beginning at Jerusalem? I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline and wow, watch the news. Keep your eyes on the Middle East.

Keep your eyes on Jerusalem. And the Bible says, look up and lift up your heads because Christ is coming. The redemption that He’s promised is coming quickly. And if you’ve not trusted Christ as your Savior, you need to do that. The moment you trust Him, God saves you. Well we’re going to go to the phone lines here at Bibleline and welcome to the program all of you who are listening today and we’re going to go to Bell Glades Florida which is down in the heart of the state of Florida and we’re going to talk to Arthur and Arthur is waiting patiently here.

Arthur welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, how you doing? Good, turn your radio down. Oh, I turned it down. I have a question about John 4, this American woman at the will with Jesus Christ. Okay. Oh, I was with a bunch of my attention early in the week that some people are saying that she was the first woman preacher, that’s not true, right? No, of course not. She just was the woman who gave her testimony. She didn’t really know a whole lot, but she knew that Jesus was the Savior.

She had trusted him. She said, I know the Messiah comes, and he said, I speak unto them. She right then trusted the Lord and left her water pot at the well and went back into the city. She told the men there of the city, come see a man that told me all things that ever I did is not this to Christ. Here, a whole multitude of guys came out of this city, out to the well. they saw Jesus for themselves.

It says many of them believed on Christ because of the saying of the woman. So she was a witness and that’s all she did. She said, come and see for yourself. This is Jesus and she didn’t preach any sermons. Okay, let me ask you to tell me that she wanted to speak to those Jews or those Gentiles Those were Samaritans and they were a mixed breed of the part Jew and half breeds, but the Jews were not to have any dealings with them.

Christ, of course, came to die for everybody and he did not follow the prejudice of the day and talked to the Samaritan woman and then all these people of Samaria got saved as a result. Okay, and I’ll add actually one more question. When the Bible speaker that we are here about Jesus Christ, is this talking about our sin? When your phone broke up, just a second there, say that one more time. When the Bible speaks about the Christ or Jesus Christ, I can’t talk about our sin.

When Christ died, yeah, he was a member, he was a scourge, which they took the whip across is back and it was all part of what the punishment he took upon himself for our sins. So it says with his stripes we are healed and it’s not talking about that our diseases were healed, not really that our sins were taken away and ultimately it means healing in the sense that we’re getting a brand new body in heaven that will never have any disease their sickness or death.

But if you’re expecting, you know, this body to always be well, it won’t be because everybody’s going to die. I mean, that’s a fact. And when you get older, your body begins to fail. And after 70 or 80 years or maybe more, you’re going to die. Right. And we’re going to do body in heaven though, that’s perfect. Yeah, but I was told by someone told me to buy by his scars even feel they was talking about a physical He’ll I was I was telling that was the beginning with they kept trying to tell me that there was a black physical Physical sickness that we was here for us.

That’s why I think well that that really is a bad teaching Let me see here. I have a I was gonna Turn to a Verse that is real good on that and Peter talks about in first Peter Chapter 2 he says in verse 24 who his own self pair our sins in his own body on the tree that we being deadness in should live under righteousness By whose stripes you were healed and of course It’s obviously talking about salvation if you read 1 Peter 224 Okay, well, thank you very much.

I’m gonna ask my question and thanks for listening and that was Arthur down in Belgrade, Florida And we’re now gonna go to Jose In St. Petersburg, Jose welcome to Bibleline. Hello, good morning Hank. How are you doing? Good. That’s good. Hey, um, you just Christ never baptized right? He never baptized anybody with water, but he does baptize every believer with the Holy Spirit at the moment you trust Christ in this age. And how about Paul? Does he ever baptize in water?

Absolutely. Okay. In fact, in 1 Corinthians 1 you read about that, but there was a was division there over who had done the baptism and so Paul really said I thank God that I didn’t baptize but just a couple of your families here because you’ve made a division over this as some said well I was baptized by Peter and some by Paul and some by Paul and so basically there was a little groups that developed and said I’m better than you are because look at who baptized me and Paul said that was wrong.

Now did he eventually stop though? No, of course not. Believer baptism continues. And as I just mentioned earlier… He has not evolved. Did he eventually stop baptizing people in water? No, of course not. Water never saved anybody. But Christ told us that we should be baptized, but it’s a testimony of how we’re classified by the blood of Christ. Okay. It doesn’t save. Oh, and I’m sorry. It doesn’t save anybody. But water baptism is a, every believer should be baptized one time after they become saved.

As it’s opened testimony of how their cleansed of their sin, not by the water which won’t take away one sin, but by the blood of Jesus Christ that we shed at Calvary. So when you trust Christ you’re saved, the water is merely symbolic. Through the Red Sea after Moses. Yes. Have you ever thought about this? Israel didn’t get wet. The Egyptians did and they died. That is very interesting. And it’s called a baptism. If you read 1 Corinthians 10, it says, they experienced the baptism of Moses.

And so it was a deliverance from the bondage of Egypt, of Egypt, a picture of salvation being delivered by the blood of the Passover Lamb. And then of course this beautiful picture of their deliverance where their enemies are destroyed and they survive. And as you say, they went through on dry land and the Egyptians got wet in that one. You have a good day. Just wanted to pass on that thought. Okay. Thank you. That was Jose. We have off the air fill in Olathea, Kansas calling in and his question is he says that there is a less feldic who teaches salvation is in the death burial and resurrection of Christ.

Is this correct? Of course that’s correct. He thought it was by the blood of Christ. That is exactly right. But less feldic doesn’t believe that’s true for all ages. He believes from Peter to Paul, they were saved by turning from sin and water baptism. Then Paul came along and changed the plan of salvation to just by faith alone. He teaches that Noah was saved by building the ark that the people under the law were saved by keeping the commandments.

So basically he has salvation by works in every age except for just now. because he teaches it’s by faith alone now. Many people are excited about that, but I believe that that really truly is a blast for me because Christ died to pay for the sins of every man, woman and child that ever lived, and no one has ever been saved by works. Everybody who’s ever been saved in the Bible was saved by faith alone and Christ alone, and they were never saved by any work that they did.

Peter didn’t teach salvation by water baptism. Peter taught salvation by faith in Christ. That’s 1043 Peter said to Jesus or Yeshua give all the prophets witness that Whosesoever believeth in Him? That is in Jesus should receive the remission of their sins when you believe on Christ Peter’s the one that said that and Peter in his two epistles makes it very clear that it was it wasn’t baptism It was faith alone in Christ alone that brought about Solvation we’re going to Tampa, Florida now we have Lee on the line Lee welcome to Bibleline you on the end Hi, how you doing good?

I think if I was we’re hearing correctly one time I heard you say something about Someone Bob was talks about baptizing the dishes. Oh Yeah, that’s kind of fun to think about but the Greek word Babtiz boss He is translated wash in a number of places in the New Testament, which is a proper interpretation because we are washed or cleansed by the blood of Christ. But over in Mark chapter 7, it says in verse 4, and when that is the Pharisees of the Jews here, when they come from the market except they wash, the Greek word is baptism, translated baptize in most other places.

They eat not. And many other things that be which they have received to hold as the washing or the baptism of pots and pans and braids and vessels in a table. So the Greek word is baptism. So anytime you go and wash the dishes, Lee, you are baptizing the pots and pans. I had mentioned that to my daughter and she says, no, I don’t think it says about baptizing the dishes. Well, they decided to call you to find out where that was at.

March 7-4, it’s kind of interesting. But the Greek word, even though it’s translated to wash there, which they wash the pots and pans, is the same word, it’s translated to baptizing every place else. So technically, yes. When you cleanse the dishes, you wash the dishes, you’re baptizing them. Oh, my daughter, she lives in Washington State, but her husband is in Iraq right now. He’s in the Army and She has a birthday coming up and I’m hoping to get over there to your resource center to get something to center her for her birthday That would be great.

Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3776. 771 now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom All right, we’re back from that break and it’s exciting really to be able to be with you today exciting things happening out there in the world aren’t there well Israel fighting two battles on the Lebanese front and on the Gaza front and It’s heating up.

They took out the Barut Lebanon Airport put a a naval blockade around Lebanon. People are not going anywhere. A lot of tourists are trapped there and they can’t get out of there unless they walk home, which boy I wouldn’t recommend that over there. And obviously things are heating up. This is the last time and we’re seeing, I believe, the beginning of only these events that will lead up to the return of Jesus Christ. Are you ready? Hey, are you on your tippy toes?

Have you done your rapture practice? Of course, I’m teasing, but definitely we’re seeing in-time events. I don’t really believe we have a whole lot of time left here on this earth. That’s why we have such a sense of urgency here at Bible. To try to get this message out to as many as we possibly can. I tell people we’re lean and mean here. We really focus all of the funds that come in to getting this message out. leaked out in faith to do the streaming of our television programs on the internet.

We have our radio programs out there. People are able to listen and watch these programs now anywhere in the world 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And we’re just trusting that God will supply the funds to be able to allow us to continue to do that and also to continue to bring the radio and TV programs to you in your areas wherever you might be watching them from. And we have people all across America that are watching our television programs.

We have a regular color from Alaska who loves our TV program watching it there in Alaska and all across the West Coast of the United States, all the way back to the East Coast, to Maine, all the way down to Florida and everything in between the heartland of our country. People are seeing Bible light. Thanks to you. Thanks to you that listen, that our partners with us, that have seen the vision with us and believe that truly these are the times to invest in eternity and get the message out.

And Bible and we believe is a very needed resource today where people can get answers to their questions but also to hear the gospel. So much Christian programming never tells a person how to be saved. And when they do, they oftentimes clutter it up or muddy it up with works and a confused message about what to be saved and that certainly is leaving our nation confused. We are thankful for what God is doing here with Bible and. You can be a partner with us and give to Bible and I believe you’re going to share in all the rewards whatever this program brings in the way of reward you’ll share equally with me as you pray for and give to Bible and.

Why do I think so? Well, I like Flip-ins 4-17 where Paul talks to the believers at Philippi and he says, not that I desire a gift, Flip-ins 4-17, not that I desire a gift, he’s really saying I’m not trying to get your money, but he says I desire a fruit that may abound to your account. Now think about that. What he’s saying is as you would give to the ministry that the fruit that the ministry bore would accrue to your account in heaven as you gave to that ministry.

Well, that’s exciting. And so I think to be a smart giver and give where God’s Word is honored and blessed and is effective in winning people and challenging people that’s been a blessing to you, then this would be a great ministry to get involved with and help us as we try to reach out before Jesus returns. There’s going to be a day coming when we’re going to say, wow, I wish we had done more. I wish we had caught the vision and invested in heavenly things because when you die and when the rapture happens, you leave it all behind.

The Bibleline is the Bibleline of the Bible, and you can also call our operators and they’ll recite that address or send you an envelope with it printed on. But you can give a gift by credit card over the phone. Many decide to do that. If you order resources from Bibleline, you can also send them to the Bibleline. And many decide to do that. Of course, if you order resources from Bibleline that will… that will also help by the line be able to reach out pay these bills i don’t get paid our staff doesn’t get paid uh…

so we don’t have that kind of overhead uh… but we don’t have a reserve account we don’t have a piggy bank we don’t have subscribers or pledges uh… we simply trust god and miraculously it really is a miracle we’re watching god continue to keep us on the air and we just sit back in on the see our awesome god supply to keep by one going thanks to you though god uses people just like you and you’re the ones who allow this program to continue we’re going to go back to the phone lines here at bible and we have uh…

steve in sera so we’re going to go to steve right now steve welcome to bible and you’re on the air yes thank you for taking my call my question gives me to uh… my uh… about the rapture uh… does it happen before in the middle of the end and i think i found a couple of verses that are pretty tough to dispute the big look at the end of tribulation. Now if you look at Matthew 2431 and the keyword again here is trumpet.

Okay it talks about the rapture in a film way and it talks about that there would be a loud trumpet. It talks about the one that really I find interesting is co- 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 52 and it talks about again description of the rapture and it says Trumpet and it says the last trumpet so you got to ask yourself where’s the last trumpet well the only place I can see the last trumpet is the seventh trumpet which is a last trumpet and that’s not till you find it in 1115 the 1115th is the seventh trumpet and exactly but but again I think that you are grabbing the wrong bunch of trumpets.

The phrase the last trump is an expression from the Old Testament when Israel was wondering in the wilderness there would be a series of trumpets that would sound to prepare them to move. God guided them by the cloud in the day and the pillar fire at night. And so when the Lord was ready to move Israel they would sound a trumpet to tell people, hey, pick your tent down and pack your bags. We’re getting ready to go. And the The last Trump was the Trump you move out on.

So I believe it’s an expression that means that the last Trump that you will be moving out and of course that’s when we are caught up to meet the Lord in the air. But in 2024 it’s not talking about the Rapture, talking about the Second Coming and how all All unbelievers are going to be destroyed at this point. This is totally a different event. It says in verse 31, he will send forth his angels with the sound of a great trumpet.

With the rapture, there are no angels present at all. If you read carefully 1 Thessalonians 4 and 17, it says, the Lord by himself will return. He doesn’t come with any angels, doesn’t come with anybody else to help him, but the Lord himself shall descend with a shout, with a voice to the archangel, with the trumpet God. And then we believers of this age will receive our resurrection bodies and those who are living will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

But Matthew is talking about after the tribulation period is over that the angels will round up the saved and the lost and in Christ will destroy all of the unsaved. Later it says in verse 40 there will be two in the field and Matthew 24 The one will be taken and the other left Says two women should be grinding of the mill the one will be taken in the other left a lot of people think that’s the rapture It’s not the rapture If you read the context here, this is after the tribulation So many people say well, this is the rapture and therefore takes place after the tribulation, but they’re not reading the context Look at you, will it, verse 37, where it says, as the days of Noah were, social are coming in the Son of Van B.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not, verse 39, until the flood came and took them. Now what group were taken away in the flood? It was the unsaved. They were all drowned. They all died. Social also the coming of the Son of Man B. And then it describes two will be in the field. The one that’s taken and I circled the word taken in verse 40 and tied it back to the word took in verse 39 because they’re taken in the way the unbelievers were taken in the days of Noah’s flood.

And they were destroyed but only the ones that were in the arc were left to repopulate the earth. So the ones that are taken are killed and the ones that are left are left to populate the earth again. The same is true at the end of the tribulation period where the angels at the sound of a trumpet will gather all the believers and they will be left and the angel will sound of the trump and all the unbelievers will be gathered up and they’ll be killed and they’ll be taken in judgment and killed just like the unbelievers in the days of Noah.

And then the millennium will begin and only the end, but all unsay will be destroyed. So this is clearly not talking about that. And I think it’s a mistake that most people make by not rightly dividing the word here. There are seven trumpets in the book of Revelation. You are right. But it is not the seventh of those seven trumpets. That is the trump that God has in mind there in 1 Corinthians 15 that you mentioned. We now have George down in Palm Beach Gardens.

George welcome the Bible on your own ear. I have a question I need clarification. I don’t know if I have this correct or not. This is all in Acts. Acts 2.38 explains baptism. It mentions baptism. Right. It can be baptized. But that’s more receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. But it doesn’t talk about water there. If you read the verse very carefully, it doesn’t say it’d be baptized in water. If you read carefully it says be baptized every one of you in the name of the Lord Jesus.

The Greek word means to simply wash, and so when you change your mind, repent, and believe on Christ you are washed in the name or in the authority that Christ gave, and then you receive the remission of your sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is certainly not talking about water. When you go to Acts chapter 10, you have a similar experience where Peter is again the one who is preaching. He says in verse 43 that if you simply believe, you’ll receive the remission of your sins.

So it’s not a contradiction saying the same thing. And then in verse 44, as he spoke and they believe, they received the Holy Spirit. And then verse 47 and here is really a powerful one for you Peter. I mean George It says in verse 47 can any man forbid water Peter asks that these should not be water baptized Which have received the Holy Spirit as well as we so here they had the Holy Spirit They were forgiven of their sin, but they had not yet been water baptized and there we have a clarification of acts to because they’re We have a confirmation that’s the correct interpretation when it’s saying next to 30 is repent or For the Greek word is metanoia, which means a change of mind.

You change your mind about Christ. They had thought he was a blasphemer, an imposter, a counterfeit. That’s why they crucified him. And at Pentecost Peter preaches to the very ones who had taken a crucified Christ and said, look, you need to change your mind and realize that this Jesus is the Messiah. And then be washed or cleansed of your sin in the name or in the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you’ll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

So it’s not I have a sheet and I’m also a CD of 10 baptisms in the New Testament and this is one of the 10 and this one is what I call the baptism in the name. It’s not water. Okay, because I’m still not sure if I’m clear on that, but I’ll get you paper. Well, why don’t you look with me at 1 Corinthians 6 and you’ll see a similar use of the word baptism and in the name. In 1 Corinthians 6 it lists a lot of sins that will keep a person out of heaven.

But then it says in 1 Corinthians 6, 11, and such were some of you, but you are washed. You are sanctified. You are justified. And then it says in the name, in the name, in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. So they were washed or baptized in the name when they trusted Christ’s or Savior. They were washed, they were sanctified, they were justified in the name. That means in the authority of Christ’s name.

That is exactly what Peter is talking about. When you believe on his name in the authority that he gave, you are saved. Peter says in Acts 4, 12, neither is there salvation in any other, there is none other name. Then other name under heaven, given among them whereby we must be saved. In Acts 10.43 he says to Yeshua, give all the prophets witness that through his name, through his name, through his name, whosoever believeth in him should receive the remission of their sins.

So it is in the authority that Christ has got and it’s in the authority that he gave in his name that you are washed or cleansed of your sin. It’s like this. Somebody illustrated it by saying that God wrote a check to whosoever anyone on the earth that would believe in Christ and is thrown on the bank of heaven in the amount of eternal life and Jesus Christ signs it at the bottom. So it’s a check that can be drawn on heaven’s bank in the amount of eternal life to anyone and everyone that would believe or trust in the name of Jesus who authorizes the check and they can receive eternal life as soon as they put their name in there that they believe of trust in Christ’s Savior.

So there’s no water next to 38. Okay, there’s no water there. And there’s no water later if you look at Acts 10, or about 816, Acts 816. Well, Acts 816 is talking about what happened with Philip As he took the gospel to Samaria and that is water Okay, and 16 it says for he had not yet fallen upon him. I assume he means the Holy Spirit Oh, okay. Excuse me on any of them and they had simply been baptized simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Right there.

They had not received the Holy Spirit, but they were water baptized Okay And so Peter here the serns that they had not yet been saved and then he clarifies the gospel and then they received the Holy Spirit So obviously they went through a whole process here without ever having trusted Christ as their Savior. Again, my question is this, does it matter as far as the water baptism goes? Does it matter whether you’ve received the Holy Spirit and not received the Holy Spirit?

If you don’t receive the Holy Spirit, you’re not saved. I mean, before or after? Think to me. Well, the thing is the Holy Spirit is… Oh, the Holy Spirit is receiving. …is that they receive it and some of them are after they receive it. Well, the Holy Spirit is received before you get saved. Now you can get water baptized. I was baptized as an infant and I didn’t get the Holy Spirit. I didn’t get the Holy Spirit until I was 18 and I trusted Christ and then subsequently I was water baptized as a testimony of that.

So there are millions of people in America that have been baptized as infants or as just those that have gone through confirmation and entered the church and I’m baptized but they’ve never been saved. And so that doesn’t count. The believer’s baptism is that of a person who has trusted Christ as Savior. The passage that really makes that clear for us is Acts 8.37. And guess what? The NIV doesn’t even have that verse. It’s one of 44 verses that new international version just drops totally.

But it’s the key verse in the passage where the Ethiopian unit gets saved and he wants to be baptized and Philip tells him that if he believes on Christ being the Son of God he may be baptized and there you have his confession that he says I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Well that verses just left out of a lot of the newer translations and that is unfortunate because that is the key verse that explains the condition upon which a person is water baptized.

They must first be a believer. They must first be saved. They must first receive the whole spirit. Okay, I’ll have to get your paper on that. Yeah, I have several. Plus I have a number of CDs on baptism. I have a quick question. Three interlocking circles on this Bible I have. You must have the New King James. Well, it’s a new living in a translation, but it has three interlocking circles. There’s nothing that explains that. I was wondering if that was what you mentioned the other Yeah, it’s the same as on the New King James.

That’s the pagan trinity. I couldn’t find it anywhere in the library or anywhere Well, if you’ll ask my operas will send you a sheet that will Give you a little bit of a history on that pagan symbol that’s on that Bible. Okay. Can I ask you one more go ahead? This is your last one Three the chairman, but the past president future sins. Where do I find that? Well, obviously first of all, just think for a second. When Christ died, you weren’t even born yet.

So obviously, every sin that you’d ever commit was future. And Christ died for all of them. He paid for the sins of those that will still be born yet tomorrow. But also, lots of verses say that he paid for all of our sins. I like Titus chapter 2, verse where it says that he Hebrews chapter 10 is a great chapter where he talks about perfects forever because of the one-time sacrifice that would encompass all of our sins. And then verse 17 and 18 of Hebrews 10 says, their sins and iniquities would I remember no more because he completely not only paid for them but he erases them and will not even remember them again.

They’ll never be brought up against us again. Thank you. Thank you George and it was George Town in the east coast of Florida Palm Beach Gardens. We have now Ryan in St. Petersburg Ryan welcome to Bible I just wanted to comment on the last color and the color before that. The one about the the rap shirt? Yes. I mean, towards the end of the tribulation, that would be totally wrong because if you look in Revelation chapter 4, it talks about the church being taken up and then it talks about And I think that in 11, that he sends back his two wins.

witnesses and then 144,000 Jewish men get saved. So like you’re saying always that that Rapture is going to happen. Rest on it more. We’ll get saved before the tribulation ends. Also where the last George was talking about water baptism. The fact that Tom said in Mark he said, I baptized with water but… But he who comes after me baptizes with the Holy Spirit. And I’ve also heard people say, uh, what I think it’s a Matthew where it says you either received the baptism of the Holy Spirit or the baptism of fire.

And I’ve heard. I’ve heard people say, kind of constantly say, fire and you’re going to be saved and the baptism of fire is you’re going to be going to hell. Can you count on that? You absolutely right, Ryan, the baptism with fire is to be cast into hell. It says in Matthew 3, if you read verse 12 there, it says that the ones that are baptized with fire are cast into a fire that will ever be quenched, the unquenchable furnace of hell.

But the believers who are baptized with the Holy Spirit are invited into heaven that they’re gather together into his barn as the harvest of the wheat is and they’re the same. So, excuse me, you have to distinguish between the ten different baptisms that are taught and determine which one you’re talking about in the context. And water, of course, does not play a part in our salvation. It’s the blood of Christ only that washes away our sin. So Ryan, thank you very much.

And of course, if the tribulation period were first and we had to go through it, then obviously the whole Bible is out of whack because the Bible doesn’t tell us to wait for tribulation. It says that we’re to wait for his son from heaven, which delivered us from the wrath to come. So the rapture happens first before the tribulation and that’s in 1 Thessalonians 1, 10 and numerous other verses that Christ is coming before the tribulation period. But again, you have to rightly divide the word of truth.

You have to realize that the church age, beginning at Pentecost, ending at the Rapture, is slipped in to the age of law. That there are seven years, called the 70th week of Daniel, that have not ticked off the clock as yet. And as soon as the Rapture happens, we pick up where we were 2,000 years ago with the Jewish people. And the Jews are going to be back in the land, as they are now. They will rebuild their temple.

They’ll have sacrifices again in the temple in Jerusalem. Old Testament prophets come back and preach, and the Jews are gods of angeles again, so we’re back on Jewish territory throughout the seven years. The Church, which is the bride of Christ, will never be dragged through the tribulation period. But the church is raptured out and then God goes back to dealing with Israel during the seven years. So we’re not going to be there for even one second. We have Sonia in Mobile, Alabama and Sonia, welcome to Babylon, you’re on the air.

Good morning. Good morning. Let me tell you something very quick about myself to give you a picture. I’m the director of a pregnancy crisis center. Yes ma’am. And so obviously I stand up for our morals given by God. Amen. Amen to that and we do our best to do good work for the Lord. I’m listening for a couple of days to your program now, and I have a couple of things, and I know we don’t have time to get into all of that, but I was not very happy about some of your answers you gave.

So my first question is, or let me make that statement first, we all know that we have more than 33,000 different parts and churches, right? Oh, there’s a lot of them. Yeah, it’s a lot. And you know, I listen here and there in different programs and that a lot of churches teach different things. But everybody claims to have the right answer given by the Holy Spirit. It’s very disturbing to me to know which one tells me the right thing.

So how do you know that you always give the right answer? Well good answer because the Bible, we only have one Bible and the Bible is what is correct. What we have oftentimes is people that go to the Bible with preconceived ideas or they redefine things and they don’t take the Bible to be literal. The Bible, I believe, is what God meant to say and He said what He meant what He said and we have to believe that. And I wish I had more time but there’s the time for the program to end.
