The word “blood” occurs 447 times in 357 verses in the Bible. The “Blood” (when it refers either directly or symbolically to the blood of Christ) is the very heart and core of the Bible, the true foundation of the Christian faith. Any departure from the Biblical message on the “Blood of Christ” is heresy or apostasy.

Coming to you from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida, declaring God’s love through radio and television, providing real answers to an ever-searching world. Got a question? Dial toll-free at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Good morning and welcome to Bibleline great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning in the broadcast. We appreciate you and all of our listeners and look forward to being with you every day Monday through Friday as we come to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor.
This Sunday is a third Sunday in the month and we’re going to have a dinner. If you’re in driving distance you’re welcome to come and join us for our 10-30 morning worship and stay for a lunch dinner, greatest food in all the world, a wonderful time of fellowship and you’re invited to come by. It’s a great day to come on that third Sunday because you can make it kind of a day of it. Come at 9.15 and you can be in my adult class and the children and family can join other classes.
I will then be also in the morning worship at 10.30 and then I will all go to our educational building and have a wonderful dinner following the service. We have one more week in the classes I’m teaching. Next Tuesday will be class 9 and 10. Tuesday night 7 till 9 as we’re teaching a class called meeting the challenge. That class can be available to you on CD and also DVD with audio and video. And so if you’re interested the classes are only $5 a piece on CD and if you get the DVD which is the video and the audio together.
turned out to be very good, you’ll be able to get two classes for $15 and so for just a little bit more you can get the audio and the video to play on your DV player. We invite you to call in today the phone number is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And of course we want you to know that we have lots of resources in our resource center are going to be helpful to you. We got a book called None of These Diseases, written by a medical doctor.
Forget how many million copies have been sold, but it is an incredible book that it says there on the back that the Bible predates modern medical science by three to four thousand years. Amazing the things that he brings out in this book that just will thrill you as to how the Bible is is accurate. How it tells us things that only today we have learned to be true. And you’ll love that book. We also have a great book on evangelism called Handbook to Evangelism.
We have it in Spanish and in English. It will tell you how to lead a soul to Christ. And you’ll find it extremely helpful. You’ll find that we have the old Schofield Bible, is the one I recommend. And it is obviously, I think, the best reference Bible on the market. It came out originally in 1909, and the 1909 and the 1917 editions are the one I recommend, and that we have in our Resource Center here. If you go to your bookstore, you probably won’t even find it, because they’re not pushing the old anymore, but the old is better.
The new ones have been changed, added notes that are not even by Dr. Schofield and many of those new notes I disagree with and they watered down the old notes. I think Dr. Schofield would do a flip in his grave if he knew what they had done with the Schofield Reference Bible that he had nothing to do with in the second one and now the hybrid that Oxford Press is putting out. We also have a wonderful book on translations called New Age Bible Versions covering about twenty of the latest translations that are out there that are popular and showing you how they are really most of them be leading scriptures.
You know Satan is very clever. The Bible says in Revelation 22 you are not to add to the word nor subtract from the word. Satan is clever enough to know if you added to the Bible people would pick up on that real quick and be outraged, but when you delete. And some of these have as many as 5,000 deletions. That’s right. You want a Bible with lots of it missing? Well, the NIV is one of the most notorious ones of all.
The NIV has 44 verses in their entirety that are deleted. And then thousands of other smaller deletions of a word, like the word blood, I think, is emitted 22 times from the NIV. Surely, Satan is delighted to get rid of the blood because the Bible is a book of the blood and we are saved by the blood of Christ. We have also commentaries, there are not many commentaries I recommend most of them, we’ll leave your head spinning, but I do recommend the Jameson Faucet Brown 3-volume Unabridged commentary.
We have that for a gift of 90. It retails for about 130 or 140. We also have the Jay Burnham McGee commentary retails for 200. We have a gift of 100. It’s a wonderful commentary. The Burnham McGee one will give you a comment on every chapter and the toss up brown will give you a comment on every verse of the Bible. And we have numerous other things. You might want to check our website. It has pictures and comments on our resources.
Go to BibleLineMinistries.org.com and you’ll be able to click on the online bookstore and you’ll see all the things that we have. And you can order on the website. Our radio program is streamed right now to the internet. You can catch us live on the internet and listen to it again as often as you like, as it will drop back into our archive. And we hope you’ll tell your friends in other countries. So far, 146 countries have logged on to our Bible and website.
And in July, we had 13,045 listeners to Bible and radio. on the internet. And that is truly exciting to see how God is blessing in those areas. We’re going to talk about the Bible for a few minutes and then we’re going to go ahead and answer your calls today. So if you have your Bible open you can get it out. I want to turn to 1 Peter today and we’re going to look at verse 18 where Peter says for as much as you know.
I love the fact that the Bible is not a book of uncertainty. It doesn’t use words like perhaps or maybe or we guess or we think or we surmise or possibly this might happen. It says we know, we know not hope or guess but we know and I love all the no-so verses. And this is one of them, 1 Peter 1 18, for as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things such as silver and gold from your vein, conversation received by tradition from your fathers.
In other words, we can’t find redemption in our works or in our monies. We can’t buy salvation. We can’t earn salvation. We don’t deserve salvation. But here’s the answer. In the Old Testament, when they would offer up a lamb, it had to be a perfect lamb, it had to be without blemish and without spot. That was a picture of the sinlessness of Christ, that Christ was God and He was without fault, He was without sin, that he was without any sin at all in his life.
Christ never committed a single act of sin, and he is the one whose blood could wash away our sins with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish or without spot. Who barely was foreordained before the foundation of the world? You know, God planned out His plan of redemption before He created the earth. And God knew that man would fall, and He planned this redemption where Christ would come and shed His blood to pay for our sins.
But then it says here in verse 20, but was manifest or made known even these last times for you. In other words, there is an appointed time in real time where God would appear, and God appeared in human flesh in the first of Christ 2000 years ago. And we find that when you trust Christ as Savior, then you become born again. You become saved. Verse 21, who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.
So here it talks about us being saved. Verse 22 says, seeing you have been purified your… He purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit. And of course that truth is that Christ died for your sins. And when you believe that truth, you trust Christ, you become born again. Verse 23 says being born again, not of corruptible seed, which the first birth, the natural birth into this world was corrupted and sinful. It says we’re born again of a new birth which is of an incorruptible seed by the word of God which liveeth and abide it forever.
My friend the moment you trust Christ God saves you eternally. I wish I had heard that when I was younger but I didn’t hear it until I was eighteen and I didn’t hear it by church. My church never, never gave out the gospel. I don’t think they ever knew the gospel in the church I was raised in. And you know that’s a tragedy that could happen. But when I finally saw what the Bible had to say, I said to myself, well that is truly good news.
That means if salvation is already paid for and is God’s gift, then I could go to heaven and what good news that was to my ears and I trusted Jesus Christ as my very own Savior. I hope you’ve done so. The moment you do God saves you, it says in John 3 16 for God’s love the world that means you that he gave his only begotten son that Jesus Christ, that whosoever believeth in Christ, should not perish but have everlasting life.
If you haven’t made that decision, trust him now. Just say Lord I am a sinner. I don’t understand much about the Bible, but I believe Jesus died for me. I trust right now in Jesus Christ as my Savior, as the one who I had to forgive my sins, as the one that I will place my trust in as my only hope of reaching heaven. And the moment you trust Christ, you become saved. I’m Dr. Anker, and this is Bible and we’re going to be going to the phone lines in just a moment you can dial us at 1-800-576-3771.

We are going to go to the phone lines here and the phone number is again 1-800-576-3771. We have Andy in Sarasota, Florida calling in and he says in Revelation 3-16 it says I will spew thee out of my mouth. Does this mean loss of salvation? The answer is that Christ says the last day church, the Laodicean Church, is a picture prophetically of this church age which we are presently living in, makes Christ nauseous and he wants to throw up.
He says really, and there is no nice way to say it, you make me want to regurgitate or you make me want to vomit. I want to vomit you out of my mouth. It is because they were neither hot nor cold and they were lukewarm and riding the fence in the middle of the road. Christ said over in Matthew chapter 12, He that is not with me is against me. You need to make a choice as a Christian. Sometimes you do more damage by being in the middle of the road than you do being off the road.
If you invalider the road at all, you’re probably not doing a whole lot of damage. But if you are in the middle of the road, then obviously you’re sending a bad message. The Lord of Christ was disappointed that the last day was Luke for Luke Warm compromising, writing right down the middle of the road. And obviously Christ tells us we need to make a decision. As a believer, he said, I’d rather have you cold or hot but not Luke Warm.
Not a loss of salvation, but a loss of service and loss of reward for failure to serve. You know, you’ll never be lost. Christ says He’ll never cast you out in John 637. For any reason, what a great verse that is, Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. Secondly, in verse 39 of John 6, Christ said He would not lose one, not one, of all those that had come to Him. So if one person in all of history were ever lost after they became saved, then Christ would be a liar.
The Bible would be wrong. Henry in Avon Park calls in, and that’s Avon Park, Florida. Henry calls in, and he says in 2 Thessalonians 2, 3, it talks about a falling away first. I hear some say this is the great apostasy. And this is a losing salvation verse. explain. Now, talking about that at all, Henry, it’s talking about a departure. The Greek word there means a departure. Now, if it is a departure from the Bible, then we would call that apostasy, which also is of course predicted that there would be those who would depart away from the Bible and not endure sound doctrine.
But we believe from the context of 2 Thessalonians, it is the departure of the one who in this world is restraining evil, the Holy Spirit. And he is in every one of us believers, and when he departs, we depart. It says when he is taken out of the way, then that wicked one, that man of sin, will be revealed the Antichrist. So the tribulation period begins when the departure takes place. And it is a departure of the Holy Spirit.
And when the The Holy Spirit goes, we go, as the Holy Spirit takes the bride of Christ, the church, to meet the Lord in the air, and then following on the earth is the seven years of tribulation. It says in verse 7 of 2 Thessalonians 2, for the mystery of iniquity doth already work, only he who now hindreth will continue to hinder until he be taken out of the way. the departure. And the departure is of the Holy Spirit who is hindering iniquity in this world as he lives in us believers.
We are a retarding force in this world. We are the salt of the earth. And once the rapture happens, which is the Holy Spirit taking us up to meet the Lord in the air, then the man of sin, verse 3, the son of perdition will be revealed on this earth after this departure. It is impossible to lose your salvation and this is not talking about losing salvation. It is a departure of the Holy Spirit and the believers that He and dwells were leaving at the rapture.

We love to have you come out and join us for a lunch right after church. It is everybody bringing their best home-cooked dishes and I love these dinners and apparently others do too. It’s a great Sunday to come and visit if you’re coming from a distance and kind of make it a day and have lunch with us a dinner that is fabulous And it’s a great time of fellowship and a great time to mingle and get to know one another.
I’d love to get to meet you and have you present here at our dinner this coming Sunday. The third Sunday of the month is the Sunday we do that each month. This month also I believe is the birth month of Christ. And we’ll probably talk about that the beginning of next week. But we believe price was born in October, not December. We’ll show you why from the Scriptures, probably on this coming Monday. So get ready for that and get your Bible out with your pen and pencil and jot down and take some notes on that.
Well, again, we’re looking forward to hearing from you. Give us a call here at 1-800-576-3771. You’re welcome to call in 1-800-576-3771. Donald in Plant City, Florida calls in and he says, Please explain 2 Corinthians 12-7. What was Paul’s form in the flesh? Well, if you read that passage, Paul tells us in verse 3 that he was caught up into the third heaven. Now the Bible uses three different words for heaven. There is the atmospheric heaven. We talk about the birds flying off into the heavens.
And then there’s the planetary heavens where you see the stars and the constellations and the galaxies and so on. And then the third heaven is heaven itself, which we believe is beyond the visible universe. And there is heaven itself where God resides and where the New Jerusalem, our heavenly city, is. And apparently Paul was caught up into heaven itself. When he came back in order to keep Paul humble, and you can imagine, wow, if you had that experience, it would be tough to be humble, wouldn’t it?
But Paul was given an illness in his flesh to keep him humble. Now we don’t really know what it was, but the book of Galatians gives us a hint. He says a couple of things. He says that they loved him so much in the churches of Galatia that they would have plucked out their own eyes and given them to Paul. I think that hints that he had an eye problem. Also, when you go to chapter 6 of the book of Galatians, it appears that Paul is intimating because he was so passionate about writing that particular book because of the doctrinal error that was creeping into the churches of Galatia where they were adding works to the pine of salvation and perverting the message so that it became a false gospel.
Paul said, I’m writing this myself instead of dictating it and he says I’m using large letters apparently because of his eye problem. The letters were very large, larger than a poor person would normally write because of his eye problem he wrote with very large letters. And so we We believe that probably was the affliction that he had. And Paul prayed three times for healing. And God said, no, three times. That is an important point because it is not always God’s will for you and me to be well.
And the modern day healing movement says that Christ died for your diseases on the cross as well as your sins, which is not true. And so they say that everybody should be well. And if you are not well, it’s your fault because of your lack of faith. That is, again, phony baloney. That is not what the Bible teaches here, is one of many instances when we find it was not God’s will for Paul to be well, but it was God’s will for Paul to be sick.
And God tells Paul, I made you sick on purpose. And he says because my strength is made perfect in weakness. So sometimes when we’re weak physically, we’re more strong spiritually because we’re drawn closer to the Lord and we become more dependent upon him and that’s exactly the case with the Apostle Paul. Second Corinthians 12-7, Donald, that’s a great question and I hope that answered it. I believe that Paul’s throne in the flesh, perhaps he was an eye ailment and we don’t I don’t know for sure, but that seems to be the hint, and we find that in the book of Galatians.
We have Madeline in Bradenton, Florida on the line, and Madeline, thanks for being so patient. I want to ask the Hank. You’re on the air. Good to hear from you. I have a question. Yes, ma’am. I don’t have all my facts, but maybe you can still help me. I was listening to Radio Night A Tool Girl on the Hank Hanegraaff show, and he had a guest on, and they were talking about the tribulation that it has already taken place.
That’s called preterism and I totally disagree with him. He believes that Jesus came back in 80-70, but nobody saw him. 80-70, yeah. Right. And they believe the tribulation period was the 60-80-63-80-70, and that Nero was the Antichrist, and it’s already happened. That is a position that began with Augustine in the 5th century. The Roman Catholic Church held that position and during the Reformation, many of the Reformation churches, the Reformed Church’s Presbyterians, Methodists and others, carried that bad doctrine with them and have said that the Church has replaced Israel and that Christ has already returned.
We have a book here on our Resource Center called the in-time controversy by Thomas Eis and Timahay that really nails the coffin shut on that bad doctrine. And it’s really worthwhile. Back in Jeremiah, by the way, it tells us. The Bibleline radio with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. through with Israel. Jeremiah 31. Jeremiah 31. And the moon is going to turn red and the stars are on the high. So until that happens, God is still going to help out Israel and He has a purpose for them.
And it’s called the book you have by the entire country. The in-time controversy and we have it here you could call my operators after the program and order it. We’ll ship it right down to you. Okay, thank you very much. God bless you. God bless you. That was meddling down in Bradenton, Florida, south of Tampa here. And it’s time to go on break. It turned out to be wonderful. The video and the audio is there and you can watch the classes as though you’re in the classroom with me. Keep that in mind. We’ll be teaching another class shortly. We’ll announce that title beginning this coming week. We also want you to know that we do need your help. We need your prayers and we need your financial help to keep Bible and going and expanding. We really cannot put these programs on without our listeners help.
So you could really do us a favor by sending a gift to Bible and One Lady said, I want to let you know I’ve decided to give $1 a day to Bible and she handed me her check for October yesterday. yesterday, I fella said I’m going to also give $1 a day to Bibleline and he said take it out of my credit card. This will really help Bibleline. And even if you could only give 50 cents a day, that’s about $15 a month, you could really help Bibleline.
If every listener would help us, we could really make sure all of our bills are paid and we could assure you the program would continue in your area. We’re about ready to do Bibleline Part 2, so don’t go away. Keep your dial tuned where it is. We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break and we invite you to listen now to Bibleline the second half. Here we go. Hold tight. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr.
Lynch from a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lynch from… Alright, we’re back from that break and it’s exciting to be with you. We are coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida. Good morning, my name is Hank Lindstrom. I’m my host, and I’m the pastor, and we’d love to have you come by sometime. whatever brings you to Florida.
Come by and visit us. We’re right next to the Tampa airport. Takes an extra minute to slide around the West side. And there we are about one block directly West of the Tampa International Airport, the main North-South runway. We’re just to the West of it. Let me have you come by. If not during the week to visit our resource center, which is open about 4.30 every afternoon, Eastern time, you can come on a worship day. You can come on a Wednesday night or Sunday morning or Sunday evening.
And you are most welcome. And this Sunday would be a great Sunday to come visit us because it’s the third Sunday. And guess what? We eat. We have a lot of these dinners. We have a wonderful cover dish lunch. Everybody brings their best home cooked food. We just really have a great time of fellowship and eating. And I’d love to get to meet you and to be a great chance to mingle and get to know one another. Feel welcome to be my guest.
Come at 1030. Let’s bring your Bible, your appetite, your family, and join us and be my guest for the luncheon. We always have plenty of wonderful food and it’s a great Sunday to make it a day where you come and stay for lunch with us. That’s this Sunday, the third Sunday. And by the way, we still have one more class on this particular class I’m teaching now called Meeting the Challenge on Tuesday nights from seven to nine. We’ll do class nine and ten.
It’s coming Tuesday and if you can’t get here or if you’re out of state you can also order these on CD or on DVD. That’s right, audio and video available on DVD. If you want to feel like you’re sitting in the class and actually watch me as I teach, opening my Bible, turning to the passages that’s available. And for the CDs, for the 10 hours, it’s $5 a CD or $50 a gift of $50, we get you all 10 hours of teaching.
This is a great class on lifting up your Christian life. Also, we want you to know that if you get the DVDs for $75, just $25 more, you get five DVDs that have two classes, audio and video on each one, and you’ll get all 10 hours of teaching and you’ll see the audio and video right there together. I hope you’ll do that. We also want you to know that we could use your prayers and your financial help to keep Bible ongoing, we are dependent upon our visitors.
There are no solids paid to anybody connected with Bible and everything goes back into getting this program out. And we have stretched ourselves thin because we believe there’s an urgency that Christ is coming back and we don’t have a whole lot of time left. Look at the nuclear threat. Look at the things that are happening in the Middle East. Look at the confusion among the nations and the many signs that the Bible has given that are really all about us.
I think no doubt we’re in the last days, especially since Israel is back in their land. This is the time, I think, as Christians to get serious. We here at Bible and take it very seriously as we count down, watching for Christ to return and try to live right on the edge, trusting God to get us out there as far as we can. You could be a great help. You could send a gift to Bible and by mail, or you can give one by credit card over the phone you could call right now and leave a gift by credit card and or you can go to our website and give on our online bookstore as a place to be able to give there as well.
We’re so glad you’re listening in today and God bless you and thank you for the many of you who tell us you listen every day and are learning so much. One young fellow told me that he has learned so much in the past six months that he is has now been able to challenge pastors who don’t have it right. He is able to say, chapter and verse please, and actually be able to have an impact in recognizing that some pastors don’t have it right and giving them lovingly correction from the scriptures, which is incredible that pastors don’t apparently pay that much attention to the Bible.
One lady told me that she asked her pastor a Bible question. He said, put it in writing and give me eight weeks. She said, I didn’t have eight weeks. And she called Bible and got an answer that very day. We have Nina in Lake Mary, Florida on the line. And Nina, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hi, Dr. Schoheck. How are you? Okay. Pretty good. Thank you. You. Okay. I have a question. knew that the temple was going to be rebuilt before price returns.
Yes. But then lately I heard someone said that the price will come and rebuild it. and they quoted act Let me see 15 You build a tabernacle of David, but let me give you a great reference if you turn a malachi Chapter three the last book of your Old Testament. It says in verse one behold I will send my messenger and he shall prepare the way before me That’s of course Elijah who will come during the tribulation period before Christ returns and the Lord whom you seek Malachi the Lord whom you seek shall suddenly come to an empty place of real estate where he would then get a team of workers together and build a temple, but it says he will come suddenly to his temple.
There will be a standing temple there when Jesus returns, and apparently it will first be entered in by the Antichrist as 2 Thessalonians 2 tells us that he will enter into that temple and make a proclamation that he’s God and demand to be worshiped. And then when Christ comes back, he will defeat the Antichrist and cleanse the temple, and yes, he’ll refurbish it and make it the most beautiful of all three temples. But he will come back to a standing temple.
The temple must be rebuilt during the tribulation period. So that answers that. And of course, I think the one in Acts is talking about the refurbishment of the temple that he makes it more beautiful, but it will be standing when he comes back. So he’s going to come back to his temple. If it weren’t for that, I would say he would come back to the temple area and he’ll build it. But he says he’s going to come to his temple.
And of course he’ll cleanse it when he returns. Well, Mina, thank you very much for that call and we hope that answers your question for you. We now have Bobby. Bobbi is calling in from Nashville, Tennessee and Bobbi, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Bobbi, Bobbi, are you there? Yes, hello. Hi, you’re on the air. Okay, thank you. This is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Yes, it is. I’m calling. I’m on my way to Nashville right now. We’ve listened to Hank Lindstrom for some time and I would like to correct that lady that just called you.
He has called by himself many times. He is not a predator. I thought I would call him because I kind of bothered me. I know he’s had a quote by himself many, many times. I thought I’d call him to your show and let you know that. Very good. Well, how are you hearing us now on the radio or what? We listen actually I have about 40 minutes driving back and forth to my work and I listen to him every four o’clock Okay, how about our program?
How are you hearing my program? I would do like to get you in Canada Oh, okay. So you’re in Canada And it’s very difficult to get you here on the highway going to Nashville as well Okay, well, apparently you’re hearing me on the radio though on the radio though well i’m not really saying i’m not screaming i hear that i guess uh… maybe my battery might be a little low okay well i think that’s how many times okay i had to get that go by because uh…
it doesn’t matter who it is when they make that very clear perhaps that that lady just didn’t catch it okay thank you bobbie i think it’s a part by by and uh… that uh… is interesting. Apparently they are catching us in lots of different places on the radio. Hank Hennigraft has called himself a partial predatorist and I don’t think he’s fully come out to commit to that position. But they all believe that the return of Christ though has already happened.
And I have his latest book, The Last Apostle, which talks about the peterist position and the last apostle apparently being john and saying that he uh… wrote that book early on which the book we have here called the last controversy uh… shows a late date for john which is the i believe the correct position if john wrote the book in eighty ninety six he then says the second coming is still ahead and those that believe the christ came back in eighty seventy say that he wrote the book of Revelation before 8070.
Anyway, if others are listening out there, you might want to throw your two cents in on that as well. We have Denise in Seminole, Florida calling in off here and says, where does it read in the Bible? From the body present with the Lord great question. It’s one of my favorite verses to me. So I can give you that answer really easily. Second Corinthians five eight second Corinthians five eight absent present with the Lord. What a wonderful truth that is for us who are believers to know that whenever we die.
We are are instantly in the presence of the Lord. There is no such thing as soul’s sleep, as the seven-day Adventist and other groups teach. We are absent from the body, present with the Lord, very much alert to our surroundings and where we are standing there before the Lord Himself. I am looking forward to that event. Whenever I die, I will be absent from the body, present with the Lord. If I am alive, when the rapture takes place, I will be immediately He caught up to meet the Lord in the air and be in my new body in the presence of the Lord.
Thank you Denise in Seminole, Florida. We have Mike in Tampa, Florida and he says, please explain what the anointing is and I hear a lot about the anointing on television and in church. Well the anointing is the Holy Spirit himself and every believer in Christ has the anointing. I think there’s a lot of misteaching about the anointing where pastors are telling you to get it. If you haven’t gotten it, you’re not saved. So definitely you need to get saved to get the anointing, but that’s not what they’re talking about.
So if you’ll notice what it says over in 1 John chapter 2, it says, but the anointing which you have received of him abideth in you. So that anointing we find here in this chapter is the Holy Spirit Himself. He comes in and empowers the believer to be a great witness for Him. You know the Bible tells us that every believer receives the Holy Spirit at the moment of belief. And Jesus Himself was as a man anointed with the Holy Spirit.
The word Messiah means the anointed one. And when Christ was baptized by John the Baptist at the River Jordan, we find that the Holy Spirit came upon him and he was empowered with the Holy Spirit. And so the anointing is something that every believer has from the moment that they believe. Hopefully, Mike, that will help you in understanding that. and in 1 John 2 27 it says the anointing which you have received of him by the in you. So every believer has that anointing which is from the Holy Spirit.
Alright we have some more offer questions and again if you’d like to call in and be live it’s one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one we have a car uh… bruce on the line and the bruce welcome to bible and you’re on the air for a dr kang good morning uh… guess my question uh… percains to the uh… the molyneum i never hear them talk about that and one of them is on that Explain that their favorite word is metaphorical And they use that they throw that around quite a little bit But they already believe we’re in the kingdom and obviously I tell them we’re not in the kingdom because if we were in the kingdom according to Isaiah 11 the lion would be eating straw like the ox I do I do what
I call the Straw challenge. I said let’s go to the zoo together and I’ll bring straw you bring your arm We’ll go to the lion cage and use the cure arm in, I’ll stick straw in. If the lion goes for the straw, I’ll agree we’re in the kingdom. But if the lion goes and rejects the straw and goes for your arm, then we’re not in the kingdom. It’s clear that we’re not in the kingdom yet. Paul, that metaphorical too, then.
I guess so, because I believe that to be literal. And I have had no challengers though that want to go to the zoo with me. willing to drive and pay their admission and bring my own straw. But nobody wants to go. I heard the program that the people have been talking about too and I just don’t understand how these learned men can come to this conclusion. I don’t understand it. Well, it’s a position they have that they don’t get from the Bible, and then they try to force it into the Bible.
I had a debate. I was Thomas Ice and I was in a conference on printerism. We were the only two that were speaking about the position that Christ is still yet to come. And I was amazed that all these potent speakers they had didn’t really quote scripture. All they did was refer to and they had their powerport presentations that are pretty impressive. What they only did was tell you how many theologians and historians agreed with them. which doesn’t make a bit of sense.
It doesn’t matter if nobody believes, if the Bible teaches it, then it’s right, whether nobody else in the world agrees or not. And they can’t support it from the Bible. It just doesn’t support, doesn’t fly by the Bible. And they have to refer to historians and theologians and say this personally, but that personally. And basically, it came out of Roman Catholicism and then it spun over into the Reformation came down to us through the Reformation churches. But his dad, Dr.
Christ, is still coming. I believe Jesus is coming again, and I say it all the time. I believe he’s coming in very soon. Amen. Thank you, Chris, for calling in. That was Bruce. And to say that Christ already came, and basically when Rome came and and conquered Jerusalem. They say that was the second coming of Christ and that the Kingdom began then and Israel has been replaced by the Church and that we’re now in the Kingdom is really just really twisting the Scripture.
They have to say metaphorical because if you take the Bible literally, if you take it literally, it can’t come out that way. And that’s the problem. I believe the Bible to be a literal Bible except when it actually says that in place it’s giving you a metaphor. Otherwise it is literal and if Jesus is still yet to come which I believe that is then we’re to watch for His return. But those people don’t have to watch for Christ’s return.
He’s already been here and they missed it. Nobody saw it but they still believe it even though it can’t be supported. All right, off the air, Susan in Tampa calls in and she says, when will and how can a third temple be built if the Muslims temple or mosque is still standing? Well, apparently they’ll probably be co-existent together. I didn’t think that for a long time. But if you read Revelation 11, Susan talks there about John being caught into the future and he’s actually able to see the events as they will take place.
In Revelation chapter 11 he’s told, there was given him to me a reed, like into a rod, and the angels said, rise and measure the temple. Well, when John wrote this in AD 96, there was no temple. It had been destroyed in AD 70 by the Romans, which is at least one thing that the predator is doing knowledge. And the temple is gone. and it says here lies and measure the temple and the altar and then the worship they’re in.
So there’s going to be a temple rebuilt, we believe, right after the rapture and there will be worshipers and it will be on the temple mount. But then it says in verse 2, but the court that is without measure not and don’t measure it because it’s given into the Gentiles and the holy city, Jerusalem, shall they tread under foot three and a half years or 42 months it says here. And so the area of the courtyard will not be measured because it will be in Gentile hands.
I believe that’s where the two mosques are today, south of where the ancient Jewish temple stood. So apparently the temple will be built to the north of the two mosques, the El Oxa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. And the third temple will be built on that open plateau to the north. And it seems from Ezekiel that it will be isolated from the mosques by a wall that will be built to keep it separate from the two mosques or the profane area.
It’s interesting over in Ezekiel, it tells us that that’s probably exactly what is going to take place in Ezekiel 42 in verse 20 it says he measured it by the four sides and it had a wall about 500 reads long, 500 broad to make a separation between the sanctuary, the third temple and the profane place. We know this is talking about the temple that Christ will return to because chapter 43 we see Christ coming back in all his glory and all his power and He comes in verse 4 the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate gave you his prospectus toward the east so Christ comes Back to a temple that will be standing as we had said earlier and he will enter in through the Eastern Gate which is walled up today and apparently that temple will be rebuilt north of the two mosques
and there will be a wall that will keep it separate from the profane area which is where the mosques are and where the new temple will be. Alright we have Sheila calling in and she’s calling in from Great Nick New York and Sheila Welcome to Bibleline. Hello. Hi there. Hi, how are you? Good. Good to hear from you. Oh, thank you very much. I do have a question. Okay. And I was taught to believe that a man and a woman are not to have any relations or especially a married couple while the woman is on her menstrual cycle.
Is this true today? In the Old Testament that was true and I think there’s probably good advice in following those rules God certainly knows how we’re made up and So they were not to do it during that time of the menstrual cycle Okay, for for clean for cleanly I think probably for health reasons or cleanly for those reasons. Yes, I think so Okay, so that’s that is it actually forbidden today? Nothing in the U.S. says a thing about it.
I don’t know if you would be sitting if you did, but certainly the Old Testament practice was, God told them not to do it during that time. Okay. Okay. So that should still be followed to this day. Probably good advice. I think there’s probably reasons there that we don’t even understand all of why. I know in the dietary laws today we’re discovering why. You know, why we shouldn’t eat shellfish and things because they become easily contaminated. We can get ill or even die.
Obviously we are not to eat fish that don’t have scales because usually they are all scavenger fish and again we can become ill as a result of it and so on. So God knew what he was doing and I would say that although it is not against the law for us to do that, The scripture doesn’t have any commandment for us today to not do or not do that. I would, I try to follow the Bible closely I can because I think God has good reasons.
He’s the creator and I think that it’s probably good advice to follow that procedure. Thank you. Could I further this question? Go right ahead. Oh, thank you very much. I don’t know how to say this, but in order to not have so many children today, but you do want to please your husband or vice versa, you would need to have a practice birth control. So in my case, I prefer not to put anything into my body such as birth control or form and pseudicals.
So that’s why I posed that question because around that time for a woman, you don’t get pregnant. That’s true also. But no, it’s really true. But no, it’s really true. And I think there’s only two days and a month you can become pregnant. So I think that the Bible really taught that, that if they were very careful in watching what time of the month it was that they could avoid becoming pregnant. But that was the natural way of practicing birth control without, like you say, the pills and things which can possibly cause cancers or other problems in a woman.
So I think that that’s a fully legitimate and again the book we have here called None of These Diseases has some wonderful advice in the area of what the Bible says in the Old Testament as related to sex and sexual problems and birth control and so on. That’s a great book we have. It’s called None of These Diseases by a medical doctor who’s a Christian and a fascinating study and as it says by some of the commentators on the outside the Bible predates modern medicine by over 3,000 years and the many things that it recommends in a way of practice as it will keep us healthy.
Well, certainly be getting that book and I obviously need to do a little bit more studying about my own body. There you go. Well, I thank you so very much. God bless you. God bless you, Sheila.
