I think you’ll find it wonderful. We have it on CD.

We also have it on DVD. You can call and order that wonderful series, 10 hours of teaching on DVD, the audio and video or on CD and you can call and order that. We also are starting a brand new class, this coming Tuesday which is right around the corner and this one will be called ten vital doctrines of the New Testament. This is really the foundation of a Christian. If your doctrine isn’t correct, then nothing is correct. And you’ll find that it tells us in the last days in 2 Timothy 4 verse 3 that the time would come, which I believe has come, when they would not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lust they would heap to themselves teachers having itching ears and they would It would turn away their ears from the truth and be turned on the fables or lies or fiction

and we see that happening every day today. So this will be a great class to establish you in the faith. If you can come and see it in person, that would be great. You can also sign up and take it on the internet. If you’d like to do that, they’ll give you a passcode and you’ll be able to go in and watch the class live on Tuesday nights from Saturday night and also with your passcode. You can watch the class again and again.

And that’s starting this coming Tuesday. And that’s from 7-9. We hope that if you are in driving this, then she’ll come out and sign up and be a part of the class. Five weeks, ten hours, two hours per Tuesday, 7-9. Love to have you be a part of that. We’re also going to Israel. We want you to go with us. It’s a wonderful trip. It’ll be trip number 14 for me. We’ll be exploring Israel from one end to the other from the lowest spot on the face of the earth, the Dead Sea, incredible place.

The water is a beautiful blue-green and you can see clear right to the bottom in the shallow areas and you can’t possibly sink. Every time I usually go put a big 8-pound rock on my stomach and lay back and get a sheet of newspaper and hold it up and let the wind catch it and you kind of body surface on surf on the top of the water. It’s a thrilling experience. If you can’t swim, you’ll love this place because you won’t possibly drown.

You’ll be right up on top. And it’s a wonderful experience and of course very healing for your skin. People come in from all over Europe to get healing from psoriasis and other skin problems and so on. It’s a wonderful place. We also will go to the northern Israel and see the snow-capped Mount Hermann, the snow-capped all year long, the source of the Jordan River. And then, of course, the beautiful deserts and also the beautiful valleys and the fertile Jordan River Valley.

And the Jordan River will be baptizing. If you have not been baptized, this would be a great chance to get it done in Israel, from the Jordan River. What could be better than that? In any case, we want you to… Join us and you can get all the information right on my website if you’re good at BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. Click on Bibleline News and there it is. You’ll find the whole itinerary, a sign-up sheet, everything you need to know.

We need to get a hundred dollar deposit right away. That way we can begin to process your flights and hotels and we’re going to have a super time. Everything is round-trip from your destination city or rather departure city. where we’re departing from, whether it be Chicago, Kansas City, Los Angeles, anywhere in the US and Round Trip back for $25.99. We hope that you’ll choose to go with us on my 14th trip and we’ll study the Bible all day long.

We’ll have a wonderful time. We’re going to get into the Bible for a few minutes and then we’ll call go to our callers. By the way, if you go to our radio page on our internet site. You’ll find a place there where you can submit an off-air question and maybe you might want to do that. So we just asked for your name in your city where you’re listening to Bibleina, where you’re calling in from. And you can just leave your question and we’ll try to answer it on the air.

So that’ll facilitate getting these off-air questions in here without tying up our lines. So give that a try. If you have internet access, go to my radio page and you’ll find it’s right there, place to fill in your question and leave it. So, click on that little spinning globe on the upper right-hand corner of the home page and you’ll be connected right there and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Well, we’re excited about the times in which we’re living and we believe that, of course, these are exciting times that Christ’s return is getting near.

This is a time when more than ever Christians need to become proactive. We need to do things that are going to count for eternity because we don’t know when the Lord might come and snatch us out. Did you know that there are five different rewards that the Christian can earn? And one day we’re all going to stand as Christians, that is, believers only, stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Corinthians 5, 10 says we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ where everyone will receive the things done in his body according to that of which you have done whether it be good or bad.

So every believer will give an account one day and you’ll be there, I’ll be there if you’re a believer that is you’ll be there. If you’re an unbeliever then you’ll be standing at a totally different judgment called the great white throne judgment and that’s a judgment for unbelievers and both judgments our judgment of works. Neither one are judgment to determine where you spend eternity. That’s determined while you’re here on the earth before you die. If you become a believer, you’re going to heaven.

If you’re an unbeliever in Christ, you’ll go to hell. But all believers will stand before the judgment of Christ and be awarded a degree of reward in heaven or suffer loss of reward for eternity. Whereas the unbeliever will stand before the great white throne judgment which occurs a thousand years later and they’ll be assigned a degree of punishment in hell based upon their works. So works do not determine your destination, belief or unbelief in Christ determines your destination, but your works determine what happens at destination.

There are degrees of reward in heaven for the believer and there are degrees of punishment in hell for the unbelief. In fact, Satan is going to be the worst punished in hell. That’s right. He’s not the ruler of hell. So oftentimes the comic strips would depict that he’s running around, turning up the flames and poking people with a pitchfork. That’s not the way it is at all. Satan is the worst punished. In fact, hell was designed for Satan and the angels that followed him in his rebellion against the Lord.

That’s right. It tells us that in Matthew 2541, the part for me Christ said, cursed into the eternal lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels. So we find that it is a place prepared for the devil and his angels and obviously every unsafe person will wind up going to that place that God has prepared for the angels. In any case we are so glad to be able to say that there are rewards ahead for the believer and that’s an incentive.

The Lord wants to bless us, he wants to reward us. In fact, in Hebrews chapter 11, you find that Moses esteemed the reproach of Christ, the Bible says, bore the riches and treasures in Egypt. He had respect under the recompense of the reward. In other words, he could have been feral and been the richest man on this earth, but he chose rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season because he esteemed the reproach of Christ, greater riches than the treasures in Egypt.

In other words, Moses knew that God would pay him better than he could have been paid had he been feral. That’s quite an incentive, isn’t it? You know, the Bible mentions numerous different rewards, but in particular it talks about five crowns. One is the Solwinners Crown. It says in 1 Thessalonians 2, 19, and 20 that if you lead someone to Christ, you will receive a crown in heaven for that. If you teach someone in the Bible, 1 Peter, chapter 5, verse 4 talks about the crown of glory, which is given to those who teach others, teach your family, teach a Sunday school class teach a Bible study, but instruct others in God’s word and you’ll receive the crown of glory.

There’s also a crown for keeping yourself disciplined in your Christian life. The Bible talks about athletes preparing for the Olympic Games in Greece and it says that they would receive for their efforts a corruptible crown. So we who discipline our bodies and live our lives very disciplined for Christ will receive the uncorruptible crown. Wonderful crown. Also there’s a crown given to those who are suffering trials and tribulations and temptations and go through them faithfully. God says that that crown is also called the martyr’s crown.

It’s the crown of life. He talked about in James 1, 12 that blessed are happy are you that endure temptations for it says the Lord will give you the crown of life. There is also another crown, the fifth crown is the crown of righteousness given to those who are looking for Christ’s return. That ought to be a piece of cake. Anybody who is looking for and living in the expectancy that Christ could come at any time will receive that crown.

Isn’t that great? an exciting thing that is. And we hope that you’re going to be earning your crowns, that you’ll be living for Christ here and laying up treasures in heaven there. Every believer has the opportunity to earn rewards. Every unbeliever will be impacted in hell by their works as to the degree of punishment will suffer for all eternity. your destination is determined by belief or unbelief. 1 John 5.12 says, He that has the Son has life. That’s the Son of God.

He that does not have the Son does not have life. The whole world is divided into two groups as to whether or not you have trusted Christ. Those that trust Christ go to heaven, those that don’t trust Christ go to hell, but there are two judgments, one for the believers only, that will determine the degree of reward you receive in heaven and there is a separate judgment a thousand years later for those who are unsaved and they will receive a degree of punishment in hell.

Well this is Bible Annam, Dr. Inklynstrom and I am praying that you have trusted Christ as your Savior. Salvation is a gift. It is not earned by works, it is not deserved. It is offered by God’s mercy through faith in Jesus Christ. And the Bible says, whosoever believeth in Christ should not perish but have everlasting life. Wow. Well, I’m Dr. Englund, and we’re going to go to the phone lines, and we have people already called in. The number is 1-800-576-3771.

1-800-576-3771. 3 7 1 and we’re gonna go first here to Harold and Harold is in Tampa, Florida. Harold. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Good morning, sir And who are the Jehovah Witness and where did they get started? I was talking to a young lady yesterday and I tried to explain the 144,000 and explain John chapter 1 to her But she just kind of went in her own direction. I asked her to listen to Bibleline So I’m gonna move out of the way and let you talk Alright Harold, thank you so much.

The Jones Witnesses started in the 1800s and they are What we would call a cult, they deny the basic tenets of Christianity. They do not believe in hell. They do not believe in the Trinity. They do not believe in the Deity of Christ. They do not believe in salvation by faith. And they do not believe in the Deity of the Holy Spirit. They believe the Holy Spirit is just an it or a force or a wind. And on and on and on we go with the things that the Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe.

They need to know that Jesus Christ is God, who came to the earth and took on human flesh and went to the cross to pay for their sin. In 1 John, it says in chapter 2 in verse 23, that whosoever deny the Son the same hath not the Father. So because they deny Jesus Christ the Son, they don’t have the Father. What does that mean? They are Jehovah’s Witnesses without Jehovah. Are you believing that? I mean, wow, they don’t even realize it.

They claim they’re Jehovah’s Witnesses, but they don’t have Jehovah. They’re just Witnesses and of course they’re false Witnesses. But it says in 1 John 2, 23, who’s whoever denied the Son, that’s the Son of God Jesus Christ, the same hath not the Father. But he that acknowledges the Son have the Father also. John, verse 9 says, if you don’t abide in the doctrine of Christ, you don’t even have God. So the Jehovah’s Witnesses are godless. They think they have God.

But the Bible says they don’t not God. And they don’t have God because they don’t abide in the doctrine of Christ. So they certainly need our prayers. And they certainly are off on almost every doctrine you can think of. The hundred and forty or a thousand are not Jehovah’s Witnesses. If you read Revelation 7-4 it says, I heard the number of them which were sealed and they were sealed 144,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses. No, no, it doesn’t say that. It says they were sealed 144,000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

So there you have it and then it lists 12 tribes, 12,000 from each tribe, 12,000 is 144,000. In chapter 14 of Revelation we find they are all men and they are all virgin men. So no female can be one of the 144,000. No one who is married could be one of the 144,000. If you are not Jewish you can’t be one of the 144,000. By the way those are men who will get saved after the rapture during the tribulation period at Bea God’s Witnesses after the rapture during the tribulation.

Thank you for that call, Harold. We’re now going to Tom and Tampa. Tom, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. I pass your wings from a question regarding the pre-adamic creation. I know that you teach that. But if you can explain this to me, there’s a couple of passages I’d like to be enlightened on. I know that if there was a pre-adamic creation, they were destroyed. That’s correct. OK. And if they were destroyed, it had to have been because of rebellion.

it was because of Satan’s sin you think? Satan’s sin, yes, absolutely. Okay, and I know that according to the Bible, rebellion is equal to witchcraft. True. But in Romans 5, 12, it says, wherefore by one man sin entered into the world in death by sin, and so death passed upon all men for all of sin. And then It also says in 1 Corinthians 15, 21 and 22, 4 cents by man came death. OK? By man came also the resurrection of the dead.

For as in Adam all died, even so in Christ’s shall all be made alive. But I think those passages clearly state that there was no death. well it it really doesn’t say it says there’s no death of the humans because there are no humans it says that death passed about all men in Romans five twelve which is the part that you need to look take a look at obviously there was death before Adam and Eve and uh… but death didn’t comepse on the human race until Adam brought death upon the human race0000000000000000 and and as in Adam when he sinned then the whole human race uh…

obviously comes under that curse and then the death penalty and they all experienced death, but it doesn’t say anywhere that there was no death prior to Adam as I believe there clearly was. But Adam brought death upon the human race and it’s upon all men. He also brought in sin unless I’m mistaken, according to Romans 5th 12. Well upon the human race. But there was sin before Adam. Obviously Satan was fallen when he approached Adam in even the garden.

So he wasn’t sinned last. He had already sinned and was fallen. And I think everybody would agree to that. anybody would dispute that say that Satan was in an unfall and condition. He’s addressed addressed and he didn’t get that name which is destroyer until after he he was Lucifer prior to his fall and so he was fallen and already soon against the Lord and his tempted rebellion against God prior to Adam and Eve falling in the garden. Jesus even says that they’re from the very beginning and if you go back into the Greek that word beginning means the absolute very beginning.

No we know in the Bible that he was perfect prior to his sinning against the Lord. In Ezekiel 28, it describes Satan as being the anointed chair, but it said that until in his pride, he then thought to highly of himself and thought he could overthrow God. So he was the one that is the author of sin. And he’s the first one to bring sin in the universe. And I don’t think there’s a whole lot of debate on that.

Most people, I don’t see anybody really debating that topic but but he brought sin in and he brought death upon the upon the planet I believe all life on the planet was extinguished at that rebellion and Genesis 1 2 as a result of that then I got its man on the planet things were starting off great until Satan tempted Eve088 and then Adam Eve sinned and then death came upon the human race and obviously results of the curse that came as a result of Adam sin.

So, those original creatures, they, God, Judge, they did not send them. They were innocent. Well, we have… Well the animals obviously just became part of the destruction as they destroyed the earth. We have, I believe, the fossil remains of dinosaurs and other animals that pre-existed Adam and Eve and the plant life and the animal life is today is cold and also the fuel in And I guess thanks to the petroleum is really fossilized animal life and coal is fossilized plant life that was destroyed and trapped in the earth in pockets of destruction.

And obviously it was all over the earth. It was worldwide. You’ll notice some reserves are way up there in Alaska. But one time the whole earth was apparently tropical. And when God judged the earth, there was these pockets, animal and mineral, rather a vegetable life trapped in the earth and became the fossil fuels that we used today. We have a very old earth. And I know the big argument always comes up that there was no death until Adam, but it doesn’t say that.

It’s just death passed upon Adam as a result of Adam’s sin. So he brought it into the human race and we all will and everywhere you go in the world you see semigraves and obviously death is universal for the human race. Okay. Good question and I appreciate you bringing that up. We believe that there was death prior to Adam and Eve. We have Joe in Fort Myers Florida and Joe we welcome you to Bible and thanks for calling in today?

I have a question, deals with marriage and divorce, the broken sites. My niece was married in spring. She married what she thought was a godly born-again, sick young man. After the honeymoon, there was physical abuse. He would break objects. And out of fear, after the third or fourth event, she went home to her parent beside herself because this was not the man that walked down the aisle with. And now he’s struggling with the aspect of, you know, 10 biblically.

Well, God looked upon me, you know, as an adult. It’s a worthless man. She doesn’t want to raise children in an environment like this. They have sought counseling, but he feels according to Titus, too, you know, the woman should be obedient to their husbands. Well, it actually says, you know, that the man is not to be a tyrant or a dictator or to his wife, but he’s the love his wife, his Christ loved the church. And obviously he is missing the whole point.

I think that probably that would almost be considered no merit. You would read the book. We have it here in our Resource Center called Strike the Original Match by Chuck Swindall. He gives I think the fairest presentation. He says, don’t read this if you’re looking for a way. But if you find yourself in one of these situations, he says that there are three areas where he believes that certainly a person can divorce and remarry. I think we are looking at one of those.

I like his His present agencies be very, very honest, very straightforward and very scriptural. And you might want to put your bookstore order through Bibleline. Just call back and ask for the book Strike the Original Match by Chuck Swindall. We have it. Yes, Strike the Original Match. People getting their marriages back together, you know, and keep that original marriage going. But in some cases, you can’t. He is very, very treatment about the situations where you can’t. Okay. All right.

Thank you very much. You’re welcome Joe. Thank you for calling in from Fort Myers, Florida. One of the types escapes us here. Looks like we’re already at the end of our first half hour. And I think it’ll go into archives so you can watch those worship services at a later time. We have classes beginning Tuesday.

That’s right. A brand new class. This one is called 10 Vital doctrines of the Bible. Doctrine is your foundation. If you don’t have your doctrine right, nothing goes right. It tells us in the Bible that in the last days, they would not endure sound doctrine. It says in the Bible that they would depart from sound doctrine. And we are seeing it happen left and right. So to have a solid foundation, to be a Christian that can stand and be unmovable, bounding in the things of God.

You need to have your doctrine established. And that’s what we plan to do in these next five weeks, seven till nine, two hours every Tuesday night for the next five weeks, and you’ll be able to get in on this wonderful series. We just finished one called Challenge Boy. We had a lot of wonderful remarks about that one, and it’ll definitely lift your Christian life of a couple of notches and it gives you perspective as to what God is looking for in you.

You know the Bible says in Chronicles that the eyes of the Lord roam to and fro throughout the earth to show himself strong and to be half of someone whose heart is sincere toward him. And we present what that challenge is. What is God looking for is his eyes roam to and fro throughout the earth. Well you’ll get a chance to catch that on the ten hours of teaching. We have them on CD and we have it on DVD so you can actually watch and listen or just listen by ordering the ten hours of teaching on the class we just finished last Tuesday called meeting the challenge.

Call her up and tell you how to order that. And of course we hope that you’ll take advantage of about forty different presentations I’ve done on teaching the Bible. I taught for Moody Bible Institute for 11 years and I love to teach and these classes are very, very powerful and I think you can sit down with your Bible and open up your Bible and listen to the CDs or watch the DVD presentations and you’ll be as though you’re in my classroom and I think you’ll learn a lot that will be really helpful to pour you.

We’re going to go to the questions now. We have a lot of people on the air waiting to get on the air. So we’ll just go right now to Marie, Colleian from Florida and Marie, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Oh, yes. Good morning, Pastor. I have a question for you. Now Jesus was born a Jew, am I correct? Yes, ma’am. Yes, and he was raised as a Jew. He was a good Jew, am I correct? You’re absolutely right.

Okay, now I was told that once he went on the course, he was no longer a Jew. That’s not true. Is that true? No. No, I didn’t believe that. I can’t believe that myself because he’s the lion of Judah. He was a Jew and he’s still a Jew. Forever. Like you just said in Revelation 5.5 it says he’s the lion of the tribe of Judah. He came the first time as a lamb but when he comes back he comes back.

back as the lion out of that tribe of Judah. So he’s still Jewish and he will be king of the Jewish nation in order to do that. The Bible taught that he had to be a villainage of David and had to be Jewish. So there’s no doubt about it. The future has a crisis of Jew forever. Yes, but now ourselves, I always thought that we were grafted in once we become born again and a follower of Jesus that we get grafted into his family.

Well we never become Jewish if we’re Gentile, we’re still Gentiles but have been saved and washed of our sin by the butt of the Jewish Savior. But if you’re Jewish then obviously you’re still Jewish but you don’t become a Gentile. You are a Jew that has been saved, that has embraced his or her Messiah that the Bible prophets had promised would come. So there are Jews and Gentiles that get saved and the Bible makes it clear in the New Testament that as far as God is concerned there is no difference as far as your entrance into heaven if you have trusted Christ whether you are Jew or Gentile, male or female or a slave or a free man.

I mean, we are all one in Christ and we’ll enter heaven the same way. Right. So are we in a way spiritually Jewish that we’re in his family? Well, we’re children of Abraham, but he’s the father of all that believe whether you’re Jewish or Gentile. But I’m a Gentile and I’m going to be a Gentile apparently forever. But I’m a Savior Gentile. And in a person in Jewish, they’re either saved or lost, and if they’ve trusted Jesus as the Messiah, then they’re saved you.

If they’re not, they’re lost you and they’ll go to hell. And if you’re a Gentile that hasn’t accepted Christ, you’ll be lost forever as well. Exactly. And well, I always felt that because Jesus was a Jew, and that’s all roots of Christianity because if it wasn’t for Jesus, there would be no Christians. Am I correct? They were absolutely right in all the first Christians, the apostles, they were all Jewish. And then they spread the gospel out to the Gentiles.

And the Bible said during this past two dozen years that he was the turn to us Gentiles. But we remain Gentiles. But we are placed into the same body, the Jewish believers. And that body is called the Body of Christ or is called the Church. And the true church is comprised of Jews and Gentiles alike that have existed as their Savior. Right, I see. Oh, okay. Thank you so much that you cleared that up because no way could I find in the Bible, because this was no longer a Jew.

No. And I just said, how could it be with, you know, that he was born a Jew, raised a Jew, and then he’s going to come back and so align a Jew to. I was kind of confused and I just figured I’d have to call you. And also, you know, Marie, for those that try to get rid of this Jewish thing, if you’re going to go to heaven and enter the New Jerusalem, all twelve gates are named after a Jew.

So you have to enter through a Jewish state to get into heaven. And of course Christ himself is the way and he is a Jew. So you can’t escape the Jewishness of the Bible’s salvation was that salvation would be of the Jews that God came and took on Jewish flesh in order to become our Savior and offers eternal life to all Jew and Gentile that would receive him as their Savior. Yes. And that’s what as a Christian and that we are, you know, that we know the Lord that we’re blessed and to know Him and want to serve Him that we ought to pray for the Jewish people that to know him and not only Jews but everyone.

Amen. So, oh, thank you so much. And I love listening to you on the radio and I’m just so happy that I was able to talk to you because this has been troubling me. And so I’m so happy that I’m… You know what you said in everything because it does it goes right with the Bible that you know and there’s no other word But but what you know the Lord said and his in the Bible we have to go by that Amen.

Well, thank you Marie for calling in and God bless and have a wonderful day we have an All-fear question here some have asked that Mike asked from Peter St. Petersburg Where is Harold from South Florida? Well, Harold can’t hear us right now, but hopefully we’ll go back up on the air. I think we were pulled off the air off that station. I think they didn’t want us down there because I think most of their program was Roman Catholic, and they didn’t see us as compatible with that.

So we’re going to come up on the air. I think maybe next Monday and be heard down in South Florida again, we’ll be announcing the station and the frequencies, but we’ll have to try to get word to all of our friends down there, including Harold, so he can listen again and call in again. We have Cleveland calling in from Tampa, he says, please re-explain the story on Noah and his son and the homosexual act. I’ve never heard of this.

Well back in the book of Genesis we find after the flood that Noah got drunk. And it says here that Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his brother, and it says that he apparently had a homosexual act. When you read over in Leviticus, for example, this is the language, it says here in verse 11 of chapter 20 of Leviticus, it says, and the man that life with his father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness. And it says here in verse, so many of these verses you talk about when you have a sexual relationship you have uncovered their nakedness.

So we believe that world was rotten and that’s why God destroyed the whole earth in the days of Noah. Some of those practices obviously had an influence even on Noah’s sons. When Noah got drunk, his son went in while Noah was in a drunken state, out of sleep and had a sexual act on his father. That homosexual act was the reason for that curse upon him. We are excited and the Bible is of course an amazing book that there’s so much to learn all the time and hopefully that helps you with that question.

We have a question off of the air from the Internet and it says where is supposedly the pre-tribulation rapture? I have not seen it in the Bible. How can you believe something that has no scriptural evidence? I guess it really pays to read the Bible. I believe this call is coming in from Mount New York and the answer is that the Rapture is in 1 Thessalonians 4, 17 in particular. It says there that we which are alive and remain shall be caught up and that is of course we’re raptured.

The word rapture means caught up and will be caught up to meet the Lord in the ear. If you read 1 Thessalonians 1 verse 10, the next event on God’s program is the Rapture. We’re to wait for His Son from heaven, which has delivered us from the wrath which is to come. And so the wrath is the tribulation period that will follow. And then at the end of that tribulation, the Christ comes back according to 2 Thessalonians in flaming fire and He destroys every unbeliever on the earth.

So obviously there’s two events and they’re totally different. At the Rapture Christ comes by Himself. At the Second Coming Christ comes with all of His angels. At the Rapture Christ is not seen except by those who are caught up to meet Him in the air. At the Second Coming the Bible says every eye shall see Him and those also that are Jewish will see Him. Christ comes back. He will be visible, He will light up the whole heavens from one end of the other as lightning strikes across the sky.

Jesus said, We also find at the rapture the believers are caught up and unbelievers are left behind. At the second coming the unbelievers are killed as they were in the days of Noah’s Flood. And as no one is family, we’re left behind to repopulate the earth. So the ones that are left at the second coming are left to live into the millennium and will repopulate the earth. So there are kind of opposites there. The rapture, the believers are caught up.

Unbelievers are left behind. But at the second coming, seven years later, it is the believers that are left behind. And unbelievers are destroyed or killed. Let me give you another one to get you going and I didn’t get a name on this question here so I can address you by name. In John 11 Christ talks about the Rapture and he talks about a group of people that will never die and this is when he raises Lazarus from the dead and he says to Martha in verse 25, I am the resurrection and the life.

He the believer than me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” Now, that is what happens to most people. As a believer, you die, and then you’re going to get a resurrection body later in the future. But then verse 26 he talks about the rapture, and whosoever, liveth and believeth in me, shall never die. So he talks about a group of people that are living that believe in Christ, that will never die. And that is in the book of Revelation.

But the Bible of course is very, very clear that there are two groups, those who have already died, who will get their resurrection bodies at the Rapture, and those that are living that haven’t died, that will never die and be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. Hopefully that will answer that for you and call back if you didn’t. We have Tom in Richmond, Virginia. Welcome, Tom, to Bible Island. Good morning Hank. Hey I’ve got a question for you on the age of the earth issue.

I’m just appealing to your scientific nature. I’m just wondering what sound signs have it come evidence that the earth is millions of years old. Well, the Bible doesn’t tell us how old he is, but it says, Oh. in the beginning, that’s when God created space and time. And we know that that could be maybe millions of years ago. If we go by what scientists say, it would be probably anywhere between four and 12 billion years ago, I guess is what they’re saying.

But it appears that the earth had a great judgment come upon it where the earth was flooded twice. In Genesis 1 2 we have the earth flooded and the earth without life that became void and without form. But it wasn’t created that way because we have a very clear verse in Isaiah 45 18 that says when God created the earth he created it perfect and he created it inhabited. So we don’t find it that way in Genesis 1 2.

In fact, it says in Isaiah 45, 18, he did not create it vain. The word vain in the Hebrew is the very same word translated void in Genesis 1, 2. So it’s telling us he didn’t create it void. He didn’t create it vain, but it became that way. And it says darkness was upon the face of the deep. And it appears that we have the evidence in our earth of that judgment that occurred on the earth in the fossil life that we have that has been discovered and so on.

And NASA says that an asteroid struck our planet 65 million years ago in the area of the Eucutan peninsula and killed all life on the planet. That’s not necessarily might not have been right about that. Well, I mean, I’m just saying what they’re saying. But then it says that darkness was upon the face of the deep. And we know that if our sunlight were cut off for as little as 72 hours a year to be quick frozen, this may account for the ice ages, but when you read the in-to-verse 2 in Genesis 1, it says there, and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

So the earth was flooded and the Holy Spirit, the word moved there in the Hebrew means to brood upon her to incubate. Apparently the Holy Spirit warmed up the earth, incubates it, prepares it for the seven days apparently of what I call a re-creative week and it seems to be supported throughout the Bible. In 2 Peter 3 it talks about a past earth that was destroyed, a present earth that will continue until after the thousand year reign of Christ and then a future new heavens and new earth and it talks about all three.

So I believe that that past earth was the original earth inhabited by plants, animals, dinosaurs and Lucifer and all of God’s angels. And you see in Isaiah 14 in the Five Eye Wills of Satan. He said he was going to send above the stars. He apparently was below the planetary heavens here on the earth. He said, Thirdly, he was going to sit upon the mountain of the congregation in the sides of the north. We believe heaven is in the north and it implies this corridor where there are no scars which has been discovered by the 200-inch old telescoping Mount Palomar, California.

where there’s a void in the north where there are no stars and then he said he would even ascend above the clouds so he must have been on the surface of the earth beneath the clouds when he made his plan and then he said he was going to be like the most high the five i will of satan so there was an invasion but jeremiah the prophet uh… is taken back in time and sees the earth uh… when god destroyed it and that’s a very fascinating passage to throw into the mix here as jeremiah says that he actually was caught back into the past and he says I beheld in verse 23 of chapter 4 of Jeremiah the earth and Low the earth was without form and void just like we find it in Genesis 1 2 and the heavens They had no light that’s exactly what we see in

Genesis 1 2 and it talks here about how in the 25th verse there was no man on the planet at this time So apparently God saw or God let Jeremiah see the destruction of the earth when there was no man on the planet and it became void without form as a result of God’s judgment and it tells us in this chapter that all of this happened because of the anger and the presence of the Lord as he in his fierce anger brought a judgment upon the planet.

In any cases that’s why I believe what I believe about that and of course explains a lot of theological problems and that is why was Satan so intent upon causing Adam and Eve to sin and when did Satan fall because if he wasn’t created until after or during the six days, what day was he created on it? If Adam and Eve were created on the sixth day, what day was Satan created, maybe on the first day, second day, third day, fourth day or fifth day, he had to be created before Adam and Eve were, and then did he fall in one day?

And when did he fall? I mean, theological questions are clearly answered by this because Satan was already the ruler and God of this world, which he still retains that title for this very day. When Adam and Eve were in the garden, he still had that title and he caused Adam to fall because he’s jealous now because somebody else was taking over his planet. It’s just that there’s no scientific evidence that I can see that this earth really is. I understand what you’re saying about the gap theory, Hank.

I don’t think anyone could be dogmatic about that. I mean, you got to admit some of the stuff that you’re saying, even though it seems to be doctrinally found, it’s not. It’s not like salvation be dogmatic about that. Well, I am, but I mean, I don’t sleep over it. I mean, this is not an area where we should divide over, because the issue of salvation is, of course, absolutely to die for. But I don’t want to be martyred over whether we believe it’s very old or very young.

It’s time to come into today’s world. Well obviously it became more promoted but I believe that it’s been the oldest view. The new earth theory is rather brand new and the fact that the earth is just 6000 years old is espoused by these. But then in some cases it seems like it’s got causing us, is he perhaps trying to fool by giving an appearance of an age longer than 6,000 years. That’s the thing Hank, I don’t think that it shows up, that shows up and looking at it very carefully and the proof that they have for the old earth and it basically comes from the secular realm of science and you know I don’t know that we should trust that.

Well, I mean, I’m glad you… There’s not human artifacts and coal seams, I mean, they’re cool. This all could have happened at the judgment of the flood. I understand what you’re saying, I understand, but I think that obviously unless our theories about light and everything else are wrong, obviously light coming to us from the sun takes about nine minutes but if it’s coming from these distant stars from millions of light years ago then obviously the universe was created more than just six thousand years ago.

Well it says that God stretches out the heavens. I mean it might be He stretched out the heavens. Oh wait a sec Tom. We’ll wait and see. Well anyway interesting discussion and Thanks for listening up, you’re richman. Alright, thank you. Alright, that was… I believe the Earth is probably very, very old and has a very recent history of just 6,000 years with mankind on the planet. And I believe the passage in 2 Peter is pretty powerful in that, in shows an old Earth, an original Earth, then a present Earth, and then a future Earth.
