So that’s good and you can be able to watch it and it’s just as clear as the bell the DVD quality is incredible. Audio and video right there for you. We do webcast or stream our worship service on Sundays and you can catch those during the week as well and I think all of them right through last Sunday are available right there on the internet. You might want to take a look at that. And we of course hope that you’ll take a look at our Take a look at our website and all the many things we have including our online bookstore We have now a Scofield Bible.
That’s two in one. It’s on the left side English King James Scofield with Scofield’s notes on the right side is Spanish with the Spanish notes of Scofield and It’s actually two Bibles. It’s a little picker than normal, but it’s leather and it’s beautiful and it’s kind of neat just to turn to whatever page you’re turning to on the left side it’ll be English on the right side it’ll be Spanish and you might really enjoy that. We’re living in the last times Christ said in Luke 21 25 there would be signs in the Sun the Moon and the Stars we see that today look at that we’ve got a space station with people up there manning it all the time isn’t that amazing and and also our probes out into space and possibly a trip in the offering in the future here to Mars.
And we also of course see upon the Earth as it says it would be distress of nations without solution. And boy do we see that all over the world there’s problems, wars and rumors of wars. And then lastly it says the sea and the waves roaring. I think that talks about storms. I look at the icy storms we’ve had and wow, what kind of a hurricane season will we have this year? Lots of crazy things happening with weather and we’ve seen all kinds of icy things happen across our country this past winter, haven’t we?
And this is the beginning, I think, of what will happen. But nothing compared to the other problems that we’re facing, weapons of mass destruction and possibly Israel. Today we’re going in for a strike against Iran, and obviously we’re part of that. They’ve field to us for permission to fly over Iraq to strike Iran, and we’ve given permission. Apparently we’ll be involved in the refueling of their jets. They will not be able to carry enough fuel to get all the way back to Israel.
And so I’m sure that we’ll be refueling Israel’s fighters. And definitely we’re very much involved. Plus we have several of our aircraft carrier groups out there off of Iran. All right. things in the offering, something is going to be happening. While I’m looking for Christ to come back, and it says in verse 28 of Luke 21, it says when these things begin, begin to come to pass, then lift up your heads and look up because your redemption draws nigh.
Have they begun? They have begun, my friend. We ought to be looking up every day and watching for the return of Jesus Christ back to the earth. We believe that it’s closer than we may have imagined. Today’s Friday, of course, we’ll be back on Monday, but you can catch pipeline throughout the weekend on the internet. And if you’re in the Tampa Bay area, we’re on seven days a week at 10 o’clock in the morning. So you’ll be able to catch us tomorrow, Saturday, and also Sunday at 10 to 11.
And in other areas, we also have bonus times. I know in Chattanooga, we’re on every afternoon, in addition to being live in the morning. And we’re also in Nashville between one and two in the morning as a bonus time. And apparently a lot of people are listening between one and two in the morning in Nashville, Tennessee. We’re on the full hour between one and two in the morning in addition to our daytime time. You can look at our website on our radio page.
It’ll give you the frequencies and times of when we’re on the air in these different cities. and maybe you have relatives where we do have alive broadcast but if you’ll tell them about the internet are they’ll be able to uh… catches that twenty four seven we’re going to go ahead and take a few offer questions up this is by the line of the give you the phone number if you want to call in this is a good time to do it right now one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one We have Becky in Lansing, Michigan.
She calls in and asks me to explain Matthew 2413 and says, is this implying works for salvation? And the answer is, this is not even talking about eternal salvation. If you read the context, Becky, this is talking about a physical salvation, physical deliverance from the wrath of the tribulation period. It says in verse 13 of Matthew 24, He that shall endure unto the end. That’s really in the context, talking about the end of the tribulation. This is talking about those that will get saved during the tribulation period after the rapture.
It says that He that endureth to the end, that’s the end of the tribulation, the same shall be saved. That means saved from the wrath and the judgments of the tribulation to live into the wonderful thousand-year millennial kingdom, the people that are still in their mortal bodies that survive the tribulation period will be the actual subjects of the millennium. Now in the context we can prove that, if you look over verse 21, it says, then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no nor shall ever be, so that tribulation is clearly a period of time, we believe it’s seven years in length, and this great tribulation will come upon the earth once the rapture has happened.
And then it says in verse 22, except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved. So notice this is talking about physical salvation. So you want to take saved in verse 22, tie it with a line over to verse 13, because it’s talking about flesh being saved. That’s physical salvation, not eternal salvation. So those that are in the tribulation period that get saved after the rapture and manage to endure to the end of that seven-year period will then be saved or delivered from the wrath of the tribulation period to live into the wonderful kingdom of peace on earth, good, toward men that Christ will establish at His Second Coming.
So Becky, I hope that answers that. She also says Matthew 24-15, is this talking about the Rapture? The answer is no. In verse 15 it says, when you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, stamped in the holy place. This is talking about In the middle of the Tribulation period, the Antichrist will go to the rebuilt temple. Notice it talks about the holy place. That doesn’t exist right now. The second temple was destroyed in AD 70 by the Romans, and there has been no temple ever since AD 70.
But right after the Rapture, a third temple will be rebuilt, and the Antichrist will enter that before Jesus does, and he’ll place an image of himself. call the abomination of desolation and when that stands in the holy place people in the tribulation period that are living in Israel need to run for their lives and that’s what the next verses say. Then let them which be in Judea, that’s the area where Jerusalem flee. Run! It says you don’t even have time to pack your suitcase, you better run because the Antichrist is coming after you and he’ll be killing people.
Then the question is asked by Becky in Lansing, Michigan, would I explain also verses 19 and 20? And they’re saying when you run or when you flee, you want to pray that it’s not in the winter, difficult to flee in the winter time when it’s cold. It’s known as by the way in Jerusalem. And it says neither on the Sabbath day when Jewish people are restricted from travel. And so you don’t want it to happen on the Saturday Sabbath.
And also, verse 19, one of those that are with babies giving suck to their babies and obviously breastfeeding them, it’s a difficult time to flee. And so they are to pray that it doesn’t take place during any of those circumstances for them. But it’s talking about physical deliverance from the wrath of the tribulation period for those that are believers. Thank you, Becky. up in Lansing, Michigan. And we appreciate your listening to the program and calling in. The phone number here at Biblearn is 1-800-576-3771.
1-800-576-3771. We have Tim in West Jefferson, Ohio. Tim calls in and says, the woman, it really is the woman, mentioned in Revelation 17, who or what issue? This is the church called the harlot or the woman. And I think it’s easy to identify because there’s only one church in the world that really puts a woman at the top. It’s called the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman the woman throughout chapter 17. And obviously that woman is probably talking about Mary as not the real Mary the Bible, but the Mary that was wed into Christianity at the time of Constantine.
She is called the Queen of Heaven, and she is not really the Mary, the mother of Jesus, but really the counterfeit of the Babylonian religious system that began in Genesis 10. It uses that term there later in the chapter when it says on her forehead is the name written history, Babylon the Great, the mother of all harlots and abominations. So it’s a religious system that is the worship of a mother and her son. And Mary is exalted right to the top.
The Roman Catholic Church a few years ago appealed to the Pope to use his infallible papal power due to the creed that Mary was divine or maker a part of the Godhead. So instead of the Holy Trinity, there was about to be the Holy Quartet, but of course he never did that. But obviously this woman is also a city, if you look at Revelation 17 verse 18, and then it tells us the city is built on seven hills verse 9, and what city in the world is built on seven hills and is known for that, it’s Rome.
And so I believe that out of Rome will come the worldwide church, this is called the the harlot, the woman, the one that has encrusted itself with so many false teachings over the years. We’re now going to go to Doug in Tampa and Doug, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Hello. Hello Doug. Hey. Yeah. How are you? Good. I was listening to your radio station. Okay. On that work. I just wanted to get a couple of people on the prayer list of this possible.
Well, certainly you can do that. You want to just do that with my operator? You want to get up on the air and announce for everybody to pray for them. Will that be nice? Okay, give me a couple of names and we’ll pray for them. Okay. I don’t know what happened. We’re not getting it. Could you get that call there? Our operators will pick that up and we’ll pray for those folks and we’re now going to go to David and David welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.
Thank you, sir. One more question is about Hank and 2 Timothy 4-20. Paul mentioned prophlimus that have And he had authority to heal just like the other apostles did. And my question is, why did he leave this man sick? Why didn’t he heal him? Well, that’s a wonderful question to ask, especially in the light of the modern day healing movement and what they teach about healing. There were several that Christ did not heal. Timothy had some stomach problems and he tells him to drink a little wine for his often stomach infirmities and he left effort ides near unto death and didn’t heal him.
And I think it’s not always God’s will for you to be healed. And that’s certainly the case in 2 Corinthians 12 where Paul was made sick on purpose by God to keep him humble and he prayed three times in 2 Corinthians 12 to be healed and God said no three times. So we find that God told him, I grace Paul is efficient for you and Paul then goes on to say therefore I take pleasure in illnesses and in necessities and distresses and persecutions because he knows that when he is weak he’s more dependent upon the Lord and he’s stronger for God so it’s not always God’s will to heal and I think that’s a clear evidence that Paul didn’t heal everyone although he had the power to heal and I think that we were watching a counterfeit movement this whole thing about healing today is
Is not really a gun. Right. Well, you know, I wonder if maybe I know that according to the first Corinthians 13 that when the complete Word of God came that the sign gifts would no longer be needed. And I wonder if maybe Paul had already lost his gift feeling. Maybe he already started to play out. That’s again. that’s a good guess and it possibly is true we have to wait and find out about that one because there’s no person would tell us but you may be on to something there that may be true thank you sir all right that is david in chadonuga tenon c and we’re glad to have those folks in chadonuga listening they can listen a second time uh…
to to this morning’s program in the afternoon because i i don’t know what time it is at three or so we come back on for another flower and we’re excited about that we have filled in largo florida and uh… filled welcome to bible on your own here Yeah, Dr. Inc., how are you doing? Good. Yeah, I love your show. Listen to it every day. I watched Grant Jeffries on Wednesday night. He’s on a TBN. And I really like his program.
But he mentioned this past week that, and Genesis 9.2 with NOAA, that the animals were still with fear of man. And one of his conclusions was that we could eat meat. And that today we do have control over all the animal kingdom, including the fish of the sea and this type of thing. But he also mentioned that during after the time of the rapture that God would take that fear of the animals away or a fear of man away from the animals.
Have you heard of such a thing or do you know such a thing? Well, I think it’s probably true because in Isaiah 11 it says a child be able to lead a young lion or a leopard and the bear and the cow will feed together and it won’t be dangerous anymore. The lion will eat straw like the ox. So certainly there will be a kingdom of peace and the animals will be peace with one another and with us as well.
You won’t have to fear if a bear is coming at you. They’re not going to eat you during the millennial kingdom. Right. Well, he was well, uh, a doctor in a millennial kingdom, right? But he was saying after the rapture that even domesticated animals would, uh, will turn on, on mankind saying that when the writers of the apocalypse, the four horsemen of the apocalypse go out that when they take peace from the earth, they’re also going to take that fear of man away from the animals and that you know they have shows like when animals attack that this would be a common thing even though it’s not very common today except among very bad.
I would think that’s a pure speculation on this part I don’t think that could be proven by scripture anywhere. Oh okay okay because it does say in Genesis 9 2 about the fear of the animals that they have fear of man and that we have to follow them and that’s a thing. Okay well thank you very much. You’re very welcome. I try to make it clear when I’m speculating as opposed to what the scripture actually says. In this case I would suspect that that’s purely a speculation not supportable by Drake versus scripture.
We have Bob up in Richmond, Virginia, and Bob, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the earth. Hi Dr. Hank. I just played to throw my two cents worth in on the, uh, for the lady who was asking about the Bible translations. I got a report a few years ago. I picked up from these dollars at Oxford University, and they were… going over what they thought was the most accurate English translation and the one they came up with was the new Jerusalem Bible which is a Catholic Bible, they said was the most accurate rendering of the whole of the New Testament and then they raided a few others.
And interestingly they too didn’t think much of the New King James Bible. So I’ll just throw in my two cents worth and you can go ahead and comment on that. Alright, very good. Well, you know, the New Jerusalem is not too bad. As far as being able to lead a person to Christ with that Bible and Ephesians 2, 8, and 9 is quite clear that it’s my grace. It’s not my works. It’s not of yourself. It is the result of placing your trust in Jesus Christ as Savior.
And certainly we want you to have a good Bible. have a good Bible, but the Oxford scholars, I don’t think they, I don’t know about what they believe themselves, but it’s important to see what group is saying what and what their credentials are and what their views concerning the Bible period is, whether they really believe the Bible to be the word of God or not. Many of the modern new translations coming out are simply the product of a publishing company with no real concern that you and I get the truth of what God has said in the original.
They simply want to be able to get a part of the Bible market and sell their Bible. So thank you Bob for that interjection and we will certainly consider that. The prayer request is to pray for Doug’s mother, father-in-law, and for Jack’s mother and all the soldiers that are defending our country. Certainly we ought to do that. And so let’s all pray for our military around the world as they protect us in dangerous places like Afghanistan and Iraq, but also many other places around the world.
We have Brad in Clearwater, Florida, and Brad, welcome to Bibleline your own there. Good morning, Pastor Len Strong. Good morning. I have a question for you. I was caught the tail end of the conversation about the man who was talking about animals, man right before Bob. Yeah. And I was curious about something. How will the animals behave toward one another during the tribulation? I’ll hang up and listen to your response by radio. All right. I really don’t have any clue.
I don’t suspect that it will be any different than it is now. Animals eat animals. There’s a food chain and part of the circle of life. But once you get into the millennium, definitely it will change. And We know that the lion will eat straw like the ox, so the animals will not be carnivorous, and it says they won’t hurt anyone. In that Isaiah 11 you can read about that. I remember the song, the hymn, there will be peace in the valley, and it talks about the wolf and the different animals being at peace.
The whole earth will be at peace during that time. All right, we have a question from Brian in Tampa, Florida, leaving this off air. He says, please explain Zachariah 9-1. Is this a reference to people who go, I think it says here out of hell having a difficult problem here, reading that question. But it says here, well, there’s nothing in this verse at all that talks about hell, but I can see. I think it must be another reference. I think you’re going to have to call back and give me the precise reference you’re talking about.
It can’t be Zechariah 9-1. Thank you, Brian. We’ll try to figure out what verse you’re talking about here and maybe we can get that answer for you. Paul in Richmond, Virginia just calls in, leaves this offer question. What does the Bible say? And when a believer is sinning a known sin that God will punish that person? Well, lots of verses about that. If you look at 1 Corinthians 1130, it says, because of sin in the life of the Corinthians believers, for this cause, 1 Corinthians 1130, many of you are weakly and sick, and many of you are dead.
So the Lord apparently took a lot of the Christians at Corinth home because of their sin. In Hebrews 12 and verse 6 through 8 it says, whom the Lord loves, he disciplines and scourges every son whom he receives. And verse 8 says, if you be without that discipline, where of all of his children are partakers, then you are not his son at all. It says in the King James, pretty strong word, a bastard and not a son. So many are claiming to be Christian but are not.
And if you are able to live with you, please, sinning after you are saved. It would prove that you were never saved at all. But if you are genuinely saved, God is not going to allow you to… Paul goes on to say, what if we have a family member openly sinning and we see nothing happening. I would suspect Paul that that person is not a believer. I think you need to go back and address their salvation issue. John in St.
Petersburg, Forta calls in and says, show me in the Bible what sets the standard or what do we have to do to lose your salvation. Well, guess what? You can’t lose your salvation. You’re stuck, John. John, once you trust Christ, Jesus says he would never cast you out for any reason. John 637, write it down. And then even better, John 639, he says that it’s the Father’s will that he would not lose one, not one, that has come to Christ whatever he lost.
So if one person in history were ever lost, then the Bible would be wrong. Christ would be a liar. You can’t lose your salvation because you’re not keeping it. Jesus keeps you saved. He promises he’s not going to lose one. John 639, write it down. Time for break. We’re going to have to leave and come back and do a second half hour of Bibleline. So keep your video dial tuned right where it is and we’ll be right back. Don’t go away.
Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well it’s great to be with you again today and this is by the line I’m Dr. Anglin Striman. But you know you can do that on the internet. Our online bookstore is there and you can look at pictures and read descriptions of all the things that we have. And we have many, many of my teachings on CD and DVD and a lot of folks are finding these very helpful, not only for teaching and learning for themselves, but also many are using them to facilitate a Bible study, a Sunday school class, and to bring into nursing homes or into hospital rooms and bring the Word of God in that way.
And are powerful. The one that we have that’s so exciting is called How Permanent is Your Salvation? A standalone CD that has led many thousands to Christ. That’s right. The chance of a person getting saved when they hear that CD has been phenomenal. We just are really amazed at how God has blessed that particular message and has brought many people to Christ as Savior as a result. You might want to order that if you have a lost person, a loved one that you want to reach and sit down with them and play it or get them to play it in their leisure time.
But we find oftentimes people get saved. One of our friends gave one to a truck driver. He was coming back from California. He was somewhere in Texas and he was reaching over to change channels. accidentally push the button that got the tape player or CD player going. He listened to it and he called my friend in Tampa and said, I just got saved. And of course he told how he had pushed the button and listened to that CD, how permanent is your salvation?
You can call our operators and we’ll be glad to tell you how you can order that in other books, Bibles, commentaries, things that I recommend that will help you and you can We look at our online bookstore and take a look at what you might see there that would help you and order that. Have you given a gift to Bibleline for the month of March? Here we are in March and we can certainly use your help and we hope that you will definitely plan to give a gift this month.
You can do it by credit card over the phone, call our 800 number. You can also give it by mail. You can call and we’ll send you an envelope with our address on it. And certainly we hope that you will help us out here in the month of March with your prayers and also your gift to the Bibleline for the month of March. We’re going to return to the stations that have been on break. We’re going to do the second half hour.
And if you can’t get it on your radio, get it on the internet. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Linds from a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. And you’re invited to come, of course, at 9.15 when our adult and Sunday school classes begin. And then we have an evening service at 6.00pm. So you’re welcome to come by if you’re in the area. By the way, our internet site is BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. Lots of folks have found this place. We have around 10,000 watching our TV programs on the internet site, BibleLineMinistries.org, and probably around 15,000 a month listening to our radio programs on the internet through our website.
And just go there to the home page you can click on the spinning globe or the TV set or on the camera. If you click on the camera you’ll be able to get the morning worship service. And if you watch it live on Sunday then it usually takes us to Monday or Tuesday before we get it up there so you can watch it in any time of day. But there are many past morning worship services that are there that you can watch any time of day from anywhere in the world.
Tell your friends in other countries about Bibleline. We just had a fellow who is going to take a mission strip to Japan, tell us he is telling his friends in Japan missionaries about Bible line. Some of them are already emailing him back with great reports that they like Bible line. You know missionaries don’t get a whole lot of good teaching and good Christian encouragement and Bibleline is a real blessing to many missionaries in foreign countries. Let them know how they can go to the internet and catch Bibleline 24-7 from any country in the world.
So far we’ve had 147 countries log in. We just finished attending the NRB, the National Religious Broadcasters, and apparently we have some opportunity to go on shortwave in Africa, Russia, and in Asia, and it looks like that will be free, which I love the word free. And we’re excited about the potential to go on the air in different parts of the world. Pray for my blood as we try to reach out and your of course prayers and gifts will make it possible for us to be able to do even more.
And if you haven’t given a gift for the month of March, would you send a gift in by mail or call on their 800 number and give a gift by credit card with the phone with one of our operators. We want to thank you in advance for giving the Bible. We’re going to go to the live phone lines here. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. We have Joe in St. Petersburg. And Joe, welcome to the Bible. Hey, Joe, you’re on the air.
Yeah, so that’s a little bit of a kind of thing. If you’re into me, I’ve listened to you several times. And sometimes you mention about somebody teaching a doctrine or whatever, Elder Church, you know, you mentioned coming out of that church. But I’m just concerned about this. If even in the Old Testament, when they were down in Babylon and Daniel number, and the props were able to keep, you know, they’ll say a free with God. With the Holy Spirit today, why can’t we as, you know, Christians be in churches, even though things are going, just as, you know, as you said, they are going, Why can’t we stay there and function for God in that same church without having changed churches?
Well, it’s an excellent question. And the answer is, it says in 2 John chapter 1 verse 11 that you become partaker of the evil deeds. God’s judgment upon a church that’s doctoring unsound will also come upon you for being a part of that and adding your blessing and your support to that. Revelation 18 4, it says, come out from among them and be separate. Come out of her. That is the false church in Revelation. And it says, lest you be partaker of her evil deeds.
Second Corinthians chapter 6 talks about not being unequally yoked. and this is that we need to come out. The Bible gives us many verses. Romans 16, verse 17 and 18 says, mark those which have doctrine contrary to the Bible and avoid them. A-V-O-I-D. So we’re not to fellowship with them. We’re not to involve ourselves with them, but we’re to avoid them. So if more Christians would take a clear stand for clear doctrine, we perhaps would have a clear doctrine.
to have a better impact. But you never going to change the church from the bottom. You have to change it from the top. If the pastor doesn’t have it right, I don’t think the church will ever turn around. I was raised in a church where the pastor was not saved. And I don’t think anybody in the church I was raised in was saved. And when I came back thinking everybody would be excited, hearing my testimony about how I became saved in 18, it really turned out to be the opposite.
People were not happy and the preacher had a confrontation with me very early on and said what I was saying in teaching was wrong that a person could know that they were saved and know they were forgiven and know they were going to heaven. He said, you can’t know that. And I said, well, the Bible says I can know that. So I do know that because it’s what the Scriptures teach and I wound up leaving. And then I felt such a Spirit of Liberty when I found a Bible church that believed the scriptures that I was able to accomplish so much more because I wasn’t under attack for the clear teaching of God’s Word.
So I believe you’re going to be in trouble if you stay there, God is going to judge you for being a part of that doctrine that your presence supports that. Yeah, I see where you come from with that portion, but at the same time we just get in the world, and we are not affected by the world. So I’m saying I’m not going to go out and perfect doctoring. But I mean, just some small changes or differences or whatever.
Yeah, if they’re minor, if they don’t affect our salvation or the deity of Christ or the tri unity of God or the Bible being the Word of God and the salvation by faith and eternal security. If it’s not affecting inviscence and it’s not, if you’re talking about the color of the curtains in the church or whether they have a brick or stone outside or whatever, or whether they have a steeple, don’t have a steeple, that’s of no consequence at all.
But when it affects the doctrines of scripture, then it can become serious. Okay. Well, one more question that we’ve been, what was, because Paul’s, he kept all the law and everything else now up on my read now it was one of the criteria of the same he did counsel to be married so i’m just a new thing called with marriage absolutely and he was widowed yes he had a wife and he was widowed yes ok then thank you very much all right they was joe in st pittsburgh florida we have monique in plant city florida monique welcome to my line you’re on the air Hi, yes.
Good morning. Good morning. Well, I had a question. I’m pretty sure you might be tired of getting questions about speaking in tongues. But now, as a believer, I went up, I was in a church and they asked us to come up for that because I was speaking in tongues. And I received something. Now, I know you say that it’s done the way with. And that leaves me with a problem that then what did I receive? What did I in sincerity of heart and belief receive?
Well the Bible warns about you can receive another spirit that’s not the spirit of God. 2 Corinthians chapter 11 verse 3 and 4 says, I fear, lest by any means as a serpent be yelled, Eve through a subtly, so your mind should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. And it goes on in the next verse to talk about receiving another spirit which is not the Holy Spirit. And I think that’s what’s happening in many churches that the Holy Spirit is not the Spirit that’s given, especially when people fall on the floor and they can vulse and they foam at the mouth.
I’ve been to all these kind of meetings and people hurt themselves. I have people in my church that have permanent injuries from being slain in the Spirit and some of these meetings. They fall back against the pew and they damage. One lady, the last year broke her arm between her elbow and her shoulder. She’s still recovering. And that was, and she was screaming in pain and they dragged her out of the meeting. They told her she was being disruptive and they made her leave.
Instead of healing her, they left her with a broken arm which she’s still recovering from. This is the craziness that’s happening today and that isn’t from the Spirit of God. I think it’s from a false spirit. Okay. Okay. And you need to watch out. Let me give you a sample here. I’m gonna have one of my operators here who used to be in that movement. He’s gonna speak a little bit in tongues for you and then he’ll tell you what he just said.
This is James. James gives us a little bit of tongue. Shara Dadaal purnabriyata hasha na variya hareda lohurn bariata. Now James what did you just say? Not a thing. I just rolled matang, some consonants and vowels and that was about it. Alright there you have it. And this is what they do. I mean he can do that in a heartbeat and anybody can do that nonsense. And he said he didn’t say a thing. I understand that. I understand that from the point of view of like the past or the main people in the church, you know, trying to get people hyped up in the spirit.
But I mean as for me myself, who would their praying and receive something and… Well, if it doesn’t match up with the Bible, then it’s not from God. And I would say that what you’re experiencing there doesn’t match up with Scripture. So you can say, I don’t want to repeat it and I’m going to stay far from it because it’s not of God. I think you got something I would say 2 Corinthians 11 in particular verse 3 and 4 and then later it goes on in verse 13 through 15 about false preachers being transformed as apostles of Christ when they’re really Satan’s ministers.
Watch out. Also, I know I heard, I wasn’t too sure if it was you, but I heard another minister speak in and he was saying that I can’t remember this question, but it might even be the same one that you’re saying. Well, he said, Tom will be done away with when that which is perfect comes. And he was saying that that which was perfect was the word, but the scripture also go on to say that we will know it’s full, but the scripture is here, but we don’t know at full, we still know in part.
I kind of got out of where he was reading it that it was actually talking about when Jesus come again. No, it’s not. It’s not talking about that at all. It’s talking about they knew partially when the New Testament yet was not written, but when it was completed then they didn’t need the partial gifts anymore because we have everything we need right now in the Bible. We don’t need anything else. It is able to completely equip us to do the job.
And we have a wonderful book here in our resource center called New Testament Teaching on Merle Unger where he demonstrates from that scripture that it can’t be talking about anything but the word of God. It’s all neuter in the Greek and it can’t refer to Christ because Christ in the Greek is Christos which is masculine. It cannot refer back to a masculine subject. It has to refer to a neuter subject. It can’t refer to love. It is the love chapter, but love is feminine in Greek.
You can’t refer to love. It has to refer to a neuter topic. And the Bible is called that which is perfect in James 125, in Psalm 17, 5, and so on. The Word of God numerous times prior to 1 Corinthians calls the Word that which is perfect. Okay, so it’s kind of like we that don’t know Greek or Hebrew are kind of like lost. Well, you can get it from reading the verses carefully. But when you try to read Christ into there, you can’t.
And when you try to read love into there, you can’t. Well, the reason why I came up with that also, I think it’s a revelation that said that we were known fully and he was saying that we will be known. And he is known. Well, it doesn’t get very good with the Scriptures, but I think that’s very good. Sounds like you have an ambulance coming. Anyway, in printings, they’re talked about when they were children as the church was an infancy from the beginning, they had childish things which were the gifts and they were just temporary in nature.
But then as the church matured and God gave them the completed Word of God, they put away the childish things, the gifts like the gift of prophecy and tongues and knowledge. And now they’re no longer necessary because we have all that we need in the Scriptures themselves. Monique, thank you for calling and we have several cvs on this which will be helpful you might want to order them and uh… we go to the verses very carefully and you can take a look uh…
we have randy in done even florida randy welcome to buy one year hi dr ack how you do it i had uh… question uh… concerning uh… the message of john the bad this and the bad thing about john uh… in the book of acts when uh… all comes to that this Apollo said already been there and the Bible says that he had taught the scriptures to receive the Holy Spirit and they said they didn’t even heard about the Holy Spirit and Jesus had not been revealed as Christ yet.
But my question… Go ahead. I don’t think that that’s the case. I think that they just missed the whole thing. If they had truly trusted Christ, they would have had the Holy Spirit. If any man had not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8, 9. And here we have Paul as an apostle discerning. These people weren’t saved. He leads them to Christ, and then they do receive the Holy Spirit on the site. He tells them the key is in verse 4.
They had missed the meaning of John’s baptism. John barely baptized Acts 9. 19 for with the baptism of a change of mind saying into the people that they should what believe and They should believe on Christ that should come after John the Baptist that is on Christ And when they heard this boom they got saved because then they understood apparently the gospel and believed on Christ and received the Holy Spirit so they Basically had not been saved they had understood the gospel although John preached it As I understood it, Paul had hinted that the Messiah would come, the promised one, but he just didn’t reveal Christ Jesus because he didn’t know until, I forget the name of the couple, took him aside, who had traveled with Paul, and they filled him in that Jesus was, in fact, the Messiah.
But my question was, as I think about what John the Baptist is said to have taught. But, well, Paul’s really has nothing to do with this. If you read carefully here, it says, came to pass it while Paul’s was at Corinth. Paul then went up to Ephesus, which is over in Turkey. And that’s a whole, across the whole body of water, the, I think it’s the G and C. And he was in a totally different part of the world.
And he meets these disciples here. And my policy had nothing to do with these guys getting saved or not being saved or understanding about who Christ was or anything. A policy has nothing to do with the story, period. Okay, but my question now, as I think about what John the Baptist taught, he said to make the way straight, which interpreted, like you said, having a change of mind towards God and that they were traveling in a wrong direction and they needed to return to God.
And then of course he also wanted them to trust in the one who would come after him that would be greater than he. Now, so my question was, if I were around in that time and I was going to be baptized by John the Baptist, what would I be, what would I, would be the qualifications for John the Baptist to, to baptize me? You would have to confess Christ. Let me quote, this is John the Baptist being quoted now.
John 3.36, this is what John the Baptist taught. This is what you would have had to have confessed to be baptized by John. John says, he that believeth on the sun has everlasting life. And he that believeth not the sun shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. Well, you can’t get any clearer than that. And that’s why he was called the greatest of the prophets. He made it so clear nobody could misunderstand what he was saying.
So they had to believe on Christ, John 3.36. Now so many times today we have people trying to work the second qualification of faith that we need to repent of sin. I hear it slip in all the time and to have faith in Christ. I just wanted to point out that that, to make sure that that wasn’t John’s message that he was preaching back then. No, he didn’t. He basically said that they needed to change your mind about who Christ is and what he would accomplish and how salvation was by Trusting in him and in John 336 we have done about this very clearly proclaiming that if you believe on Christ you have eternal life If you don’t believe on him, you’ll not see life, but the wrath of God about upon you All right Thank you.
All right. That was Randy in Dunedin, Florida. We now have Randy in Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi and so second Randy in welcome to the Bible. Yes, thank you. You have a question? No, not a question. Question, I filed a program yesterday on a television channel. First time I’d ever seen it. The program was number BL 105. Yes. And I wanted to… Oh, wonderful. Let me give you back to my operators then and then I’ll let you get that DVD.
We’re all over the country on direct TV and apparently Randy watched that in Oxford, Mississippi. He wanted to get a copy of that television program and you can watch these programs on the Internet. If you go to my website, they’re sitting there and archive for you. We’re now going to go to Adam. in Tampa, Florida. Adam, welcome to Bibleline your On The Air. Yes, sir. I just had two quick questions. One comes from 1 Corinthians and chapter 10. He calls warning them against idolatry.
And I was wondering, in the age of grace or after Christ has come, and he’s talking to believers here, is there like a God’s wrath? Is it being held back because of Christ or has to me just to explain? Because I mean, in the examples that he gives, God would send calamity upon the nation. or he would do something very drastic right in front of them that would show them back up what you’re doing is wrong. Can you explain why that doesn’t happen now?
Well, I’m not too sure it’s not happening right now. In many parts of the world, if you look at the catastrophes that happen, often times it’s in the places where there’s the greatest sin and the greatest unbelief. Look at where the hurricane did the most damage to the gambling centers and to New Orleans where it’s known as a sin city. And where you see the tsunami that took out over 300,000 people in the Pacific Rim, most of those people were of the Islamic faith.
And more and more over there, they’ve been persecuting Christians. Maybe God is saying, okay, I’m going to give you a little warning here. Back up, don’t do that. And across America today, these winter storms, it’s interesting, sometimes where they have hit. And sometimes in the areas of the greatest unbelief in America. And I think that they’re probably, God is doing these kinds of things. I think we just now are blinding ourselves to God’s interaction in our world today. But certainly there’ll be a lot of that after the rapture during the tribulation is, he’s withholding a lot of his wrath because we’re still here.
The Bible says that when God was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, the angel said we can do nothing until you’re gone. As long as you’re still here, we can’t do anything. And I believe as long as we, the church, are still on the earth, God is withholding His wrath. But as soon as we’re taken out, then there are 28 specific judgments that will be poured out upon the earth, the seven seal judgments, the seven trumpet judgments, the seven thunder judgments, the seven vile or bold judgments.
That’s seven times four twenty eight right there without all the many other things that will be happening. Clearly I think these things are beginning to come to pass even right now. Thank you very much for calling in and being a part of the program today Adam. We have some more offer questions and I believe we answered this one before but I’ll do it again. Jordi in Denver, Colorado calls in, and he says, please help me understand the verses, Proverbs 26, 4, and 5.
And I think we did that this past week, but we’ll do it again. It seems on the surface to be contradictory where it’s talking about, I believe it’s answering a fool. I’m turning there to make sure I’ve got the same passage in mind that you do. And this is a Jordi that calls in from Denver, Colorado for this particular answer. I’m almost there. And here we are. Proverbs 26 verse 4 says, Answer not a fool according to his folly.
Lest thou also be like unto him. Then it says, Answer a fool according to his folly. Lest he be wise in his own conceit. What I think it’s saying is that you don’t want to answer a fool in the same way that he is come at you, But you do need to answer a fool and it’s telling you how to do that and why you should do it. So it’s not a contradiction. It’s telling you you don’t answer him in the way he came at you.
You need to do it with wisdom in order to bring truth and hopefully maybe even bring that fool to Christ. We have a… What’s the name of the Bible? Janet in Boston calling in and Boston is way up north of us from Tampa anyway and welcome to the program. Janet leaves us off air questions. Why don’t we see more pastors delivering the message of the true meaning of the word repent? I don’t think they know what it really means.
They have been taught wrong and have accepted that for all these many years. The Greek word is metanoia and it means the change of mind. M-E-T-A means change, N-O-I-A means mind. The two words together are the word translated repent in the New Testament and it simply means a change of mind. In Acts 2 when Peter said repent, he meant that they had to change their mind about Christ that they thought was an imposter, a fraud, a counterfeit. That’s why they crucified him to realize he was indeed the Savior, the Son of God, and trust Him as their Savior.

Also on our online bookstore on our website there’s a place to give to Bible light, but you can also of course get some of our resources which will also help us. We have two wonderful commentaries that I recommend. We have the Jameson Foset Brown that is a three volume unabridged edition that gives you a verse rather an answer on every verse of the Bible which is quite remarkable.
Then we also have the Jay Vernon McGee commentary series, five volumes, beautifully bound, that gives you something on every chapter of the Bible. With the two of them in your library, you’re going to really have the resources that will really help you. If you’re a teacher of the Bible or you’re really a serious student of the Bible, you might want to get those two commentaries. I don’t recommend many commentaries. Most of them I think are not worth much. But those are the two that are my favorite and we have both of them available.
The Jay Vernon McGee retails for 200. We have it for a gift of 100. The Jamison Faucet Brown retails for about 140. We’re offering it for 90 and that will still help Bibleline a little bit. So maybe you want to help Bibleline and you can get some resources that will help you at the same time. I hope you’ve trusted Christ as your Savior if you haven’t. Trust that He died and shed His blood for you is buried in rose again from the dead and God will save you.
The moment you do that. We’ve got to run. I’ll see you again on Monday. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming and we believe very, very soon.
