The fourth Sunday of this month we’ll have a dinner after the service. We’re changing that because I will be gone to Israel and we’re going to try to do some broadcasts from Israel. So you’ll get some updates about what’s happening and we’ll talk about the things that we’re seeing and the places we’re visiting.
So it ought to be an exciting time and we hope that you’ll listen in and join us a little bit by way of radio to hear what’s happening in Israel. We are excited about being with you today and we’re going to turn to the Bible in a moment and we will be taking your questions right after that. If you want to call in the 800 number is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. And feel free to call in and leave a question off here, or you can stay online and go up on air with us.

And of course, all of our listeners in the Tampa Bay area. Thank you for tuning in and we hope that you’ll call in and if you have a question then we’ll try to answer it on the program. Definitely the Bible is the Word of God and we can know it is because of the fact that it not only claims to be but verifies it is that it is by telling us things that we could not possibly have known.
You know God has told the history of the nation of Israel for the past 4,000 years and it’s all come to pass literally. Can you imagine God telling us how Israel would reject their Messiah when he’d come the first time and then be scattered around the world having lost their homeland and the temple and the city of Jerusalem and then after a 2,000 year dispersion to come back and those Those would be the last days when Jesus would return.
I believe we are in those last days and I think all you have to do is look at the headlines to see that we are definitely matching up with the prophecies and the in times are here. As defined in the Bible by the return of the Jews back to the state of Israel, what is amazing to me is that many church denominations believe that God is through with Israel, that there is no future plan for Israel. And boy, are they mistaken.
The Bible is quite clear. In Romans, for example, it says in chapter 11, have God cast away His people. It says here, God forbid. And Paul the Apostle here says, for I am also in Israelite of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away His people. How can people get it so wrong. Apparently, the Presbyterians blew gods through with Israel. They met a year or so ago in Richmond, Virginia at their national meeting.
They voted to boycott all companies doing business with Israel and siding with the Palestinians because they believe God is through with Israel. That is certainly flawed theology, isn’t it? The Church of Christ. Also, about 3 million members across America voted similarly a little bit after that and decided, to also boycott any company doing business with Israel and siding with the Palestinians. And it seems like the nations of the world also are turning against Israel. Jesus said in Matthew 24 that Israel would be hated above all nations and then Christ would come back.
Had haven’t we seen that happen? You know, in 1947 when World War I had ended, the world’s conscience was moved and stirred when they saw what Hitler had done in the concentration camps and how he had killed six million innocent Jews. And you know, as a result, the United Nations voted unanimously. That’s the only time they could agree to allow the state of Israel to be formed in the next year in May 14th, 1948, Israel became a nation. But you know ever since then, the United Nations has not voted unanimously for Israel ever again, and not only that, lately almost all the countries of the world are voting against Israel.
Isn’t that amazing? How the world is turned and how Israel is now truly already, I believe, the most hated nation on the earth. And Matthew 24, Jesus said that Israel would be hated above all nations and then Christ would return. We’re watching it happen. And look at the head of Iran. He wants to blow Israel off the map with the nuclear bombs that he will develop. He openly tells you what he wants to do. Wow, he wants to absolutely destroy all of the Jewish people.
Won’t be the first time, by the way, throughout the Bible you have Satan attempting to prevent Israel from existing. And there have been numerous attempts. One of those, of course, right now at Purim, we find that Queen Esther was raised up for such a time as this. And there she was the one who became the one who delivered Israel as the plot was to kill all Jewish people. And it’s interesting that that has been defeated over and over again.
Hitler’s designs didn’t work out. The Jewish people are still around. And the Bible says that as long as the sun is seen in the daytime and the moon and the stars at night, God is not done with Israel. Read Jeremiah chapter 31. God says, whenever the sun stops shining, then I’m done with Israel, but he says, I’m not done. The Bible is quite clear that he has a future plan, and I believe they’re back in the land in anticipation of what is about to happen when Christ will come back seven years after the Rapture to establish His Kingdom here on the earth and rule as King of Kings and Lord When will he come back?
Well, first at the rapture, and that event probably will happen on the Feast of Trumpets, Rosh Hashanah, whatever year it will occur. You know, there are seven feast days that God has given to Israel. All of them are prophetic pictures, a future event, and we find the first four feasts that God gave to Israel. You can read about all of them in Leviticus 23 of your Bible. And the first of the seven feast days was a picture of the cross.
It was called Passover. And the feast of Passover was a picture of the death of Jesus Christ at the cross of Calvary. And you know, Jesus died exactly when the Passover Lamb of Israel was being offered up. That’s right. And then there was the feast of Unleavened Bread, which spoke of his burial, his sinless body being placed in the tomb. And then the third feast of first fruits is a picture of his resurrection. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 5-7, for even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.
Clearly the Passover was a picture of the Lamb of God being slain for our deliverance and for our redemption. We find clearly that Christ is the first fruit of the resurrection, 1 Corinthians 15 verses 20-22, tell us that Christ is the first fruit of the resurrection. So those three feasts were filled right on the day. The feast of her fruits always occurred on a Sunday. Christ came back from the dead on the first day of the week. We also know the fourth feast was Pentecost and the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost and began this present age which we call the church age.
And so that happened by the way on a Sunday. The church was born on Sunday. That’s why we worship on Sunday because Christ established the worship day by himself coming back on the first day of the week. His major appearance the second time was on the eighth day, which is another Sunday. The early church met on Sunday. Nobody came along with that and made a change later. This started right from the get-go. In Pentecost was on a Sunday. The church had its birthday at the beginning, its beginning on a Sunday.
And we know that those four feast days were fulfilled right on the day. Isn’t that amazing? We have every reason to believe that the last three feast days, we’ve talked about second coming events, will happen exactly on the day. The Feast of Trumpets is next, and we believe it’s a picture of the ending of this age. Just as Pentecost began the church age, we believe the Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanah will end the church age, and That’s when the rapture will happen, I believe he’ll come back on that day.
And I’m not saying he’s coming this year, but he could. And if he does come this year, I believe he’ll come in the fall on the Feast of Trumpets. Look at your calendar. You can see exactly when that will be. We might only have a few months left. That’s right. We’re already into March and can you imagine this September, the Feast of Trumpets and out we go as Christians. Now I’m not a nate-setter, and if you play this program back, you’ll find I did not say Christ was coming this year.
But you know, whatever year Christ comes, I believe then he’ll come right on that feast day. The Bible is amazing. And you know, the Bible tells us that these feast days were all foreshadowing, the future things that would happen, and literally they have been. And of course we’re coming up on Passover, we’re coming up on the death, the barrel, the resurrection of Christ. Resurrection Sunday, what I call it, is also the Feast of First Fruits Day. That would be an interesting conversation to tell your friends that you’re going to be celebrating the Feast of First Fruits this year.
When we celebrate the resurrection, it occurs on the Feast of First Fruits. Christ is the fulfillment of that Feast Day. Literally, When we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection on Resurrection Sunday, it is the feast of first fruits. And Christ, according to 1 Corinthians 15, is the first fruits of the resurrection. He fulfilled that feast day right on the very day that it was to occur. It’s exciting stuff. And I love this Bible because you can’t pitch out your Old Testament. The Old Testament is rich in pictures about Christ and what He would do.
The Bible tells us that when the rulers of Israel who read the scriptures every Saturday on the Sabbath in the synagogue fulfilled those scriptures in condemning Christ because the Old Testament prophets had said that Christ would be rejected. He would die. Psalm 22 tells us a thousand years before it happens that his hands and his feet would be pierced. No wonder we can know the Bible’s word again. It is amazingly accurate as it tells the future and the Bible tells us that all of the prophecies related to Christ’s first coming were fulfilled at his first coming.
Amazing! But that’s how I know the Bible is the Word of God. Have you trusted Christ if you haven’t, you need to. Your whole eternity is based upon whether or not you trust Him. All who trust Him according to the Bible have eternal life. All those who reject Him will never see eternal life, but they will experience eternal death and be separated from God for all eternity in the eternal lake of fire. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline.
It’s great to be with you. We’re going to give out that phone number and start taking our calls. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to go to Renee in Oldsbar, Florida and Renee. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning to you Dr. Hank. How are you on this glorious day? I’m doing fine. I have two questions for you, sir. The first would be in 2 Corinthians. No, I’m sorry, excuse me. The first would be in Matthew, Matthew 7 verses 21 through 23 and the beginning part of that says not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven.
Please explain for me once again why it is that these people, even though they are doing miracles in his name, will not enter the kingdom of heaven. And then my second question is in the book of Revelation, chapter 14, where it talks about the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, and 144,000. Now I know those that it refers to unmarried Jewish men. He said, I’m not sure what he said. The scripture really doesn’t explain that. So what source did biblical scholars use to understand that that’s who the 144,000 are referring to?
And I will just hang up in lesson. Alright, thank you for that call. Alright on that first question, in Matthew 7 verse 21, says not everyone shall say unto me. not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Well, is talking here about thoseraviolet who do God’s will for salvation, which is by the way not the same as God’s will for somebody who has already saved.
The cross-reference on that is John chapter 6 verse 40, where Jesus makes it very plain that the will of God for salvation is the trust Christ. Let me read the verse and it says, and this is the will of him that sent me. So here’s God’s will for salvation. That everyone which seeeth a son or acknowledge that who Christ is, that he is the son of God and believeth on him may have everlasting life. So that’s it. The will of God for you to be saved is the trust in Jesus Christ, his son, and when you trust Christ you become saved.
I’ll never forget years ago I was studying on a Saturday night and I like to get a lot of books out and I had a table all spread out and I got a knock on my door and guess what? It was a Bible encyclopedia salesman and he came in and saw me studying my Bible and now the reference books and he thought, boy, this is going to be an easy sale. He got excited. I gave him a little quiz that we still use as our wonderful gospel tract and it had 18 questions whether you check whether you think any of these would get you to heaven or not.
And so he, I asked him if he would take this quiz before he talked to me about his Bible and psychopedias. Well you know he carefully studied it, I’ve never seen anybody so thoroughly look at the 18 questions and he started checking them off. He checked off at least half of them including you know obeying God’s laws and commandments, baptism, church membership, all those kind of things. And I said, you failed. And he looked at me quite surprised and he was embarrassed because he wanted to solve me in the encyclopedia on the Bible.
And so he reaches down and pulls out volume H out of his briefcase and he looks up heaven and it says those that are entering in. And guess what verse it used? Matthew 7 21. And he says, ah, I’m right after all. You’re wrong. And he quotes not everyone that saved unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father, which is in him, all the things I checked here are God’s will, and therefore I am right and you are wrong.”
And I said, no. I beg to differ with you. You are wrong because God’s will, and I turned him over to John 6.40 for salvation is to believe. And then after you are saved, you need to make a second choice to serve the Lord, and God’s will for you to be saved is not to work, but to trust Christ. But after you’re saved, God wants you to work and then he’ll reward your faithful works. Well guess what? After some discussion, he trusted Christ as his Savior.
The next morning in my church service, he had about six Bible and psychopedia salesmen all there sitting in a row with him. And we got a bunch of them saved. They didn’t have a clue what they were doing. They were out selling and psychopedia’s making them living, I guess. He brought a whole bunch of them. He got saved and wanted to bring others to Christ as well. That was fun. The next verse verse 22 says, many will say to me that, Lord, Lord, haven’t we prophesied in your name and in my name cast out devils and in my name done many wonderful works.
The whole point here is that they were doing exactly what the Bible forbids us to do. When the Bible says salvation is not of works, Ephesians 2, 9, it says, lest any man should brag or boast. What are they doing here? They’re trusting in their works to get to heaven, and they’re bragging about it. They said, look, why we preached in your name, and we healed in your name. And we’ve done many wonderful works in your name. And Christ said, I’m sorry, verse 23, I never knew you.
Now that I once knew you and I lost you. He said, I never knew you. You see, if this group had only said, Lord, didn’t we trust that you died on the cross of Calvary and shed your blood and paid my sin debt and full. And we trusted in your death-beral resurrection as the means of our salvation, the gospel message Christ would have said, come right on in. But you’ll notice here, these people are trusting in their works. Notice those who teach Lord’s salvation how off the mark they are because these people Say, Lord, Lord!
They acknowledge the Lordship of Christ and then they brag about their obedience and their compliance to the Lordship of Christ. And they say, look, we’ve preached in your name and healed in your name and we’ve done many wonderful works in your name. Wrong answer. You can’t get to heaven apart from the Gospel. The Gospel according to Romans 1 and 16 is the power of God and the salvation to everyone that believe in. And here they’re boasting and bragging about their good works, which will never get them into heaven.
Hopefully that answers a question for you Renee and these people in these verses are lost and in the context Christ is talking about those that are deceived by false prophets. He warns us not to listen to them but we’re to listen to God’s Word. And this is of course the ones who are influenced by the false prophets and they’re not saved because they didn’t do what God said to do to be saved and the will of God for salvation is for you to believe on Christ, who so ever believe it in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
The phone number here at Bibleline is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. We have a caller named Brian in Tampa, Florida, who calls in and leaves an off-air question. He’s asking about Zachariah, chapter 9, in verse 11. And it says here, as for the also, by the blood of thy covenant, I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein there is no water. And I believe that is talking not about hell, but it’s talking about Hades, or the Hebrew word is Shiel.
And that is the place where the departed dead would go. And we know that those that are believers were released like people that had been held prisoner and taken up to heaven when Christ ascended Ephesians 4. It says Christ led captivity captive and he took them up to heaven after having descended into the lower parts of the earth. We have Jonah on the phone line here from Northport, Florida. And Jonah, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hi. Good morning.
I have a question which which the chapter and all at that and in job on weakness. Acts 837 says the key verse in that chapter and the NIV and many vitals have dropped that verse where it tells us what is required of a person to be water baptized and that is to confess that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the Son of God and the Ethiopian eunuch did exactly that and then he was baptized. So that’s Acts 8 37.
It’s not in the NIV along with 44 verses that are totally dropped by that terrible translation. The translation in of the is one of the worst. Okay, it’s 37 and 25. Right. Thank you, sir. You’re very welcome that was Jonah in Northport. We now have Michael, not the Archangel, and you got some biblical names here. Jonah just called and now we have Michael. From St. Petersburg and Michael welcome to Bibleline your own year. Yeah, hi. My question was about the Fundamental Evangelistic Association.
Yeah, I’m here. Somehow we got another line here that crossed over a carrier. I think I lost Michael. Call right back, Michael. I’m so sorry. Somehow the wrong button I think I pushed and we lost Michael. Michael, call right back and we’ll put you right back on the year. So, uh, you’re the phone number here if you want to call in is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And, uh, is Michael back yet? No, we haven’t got Michael back. I’m sorry about that, Michael.
We’ll try to catch you as soon as you dial that number again somehow. A button got pushed and we got you disconnected. That was unfortunate. Alright, we have Vinnie, we’ll go to Vinnie in Hudson, Florida. Or maybe this is Michael. Now I want to get Michael first if he’s there. Are you there, Michael? I’m hoping this is Michael. Alright, here we go. Michael, we’re back and sorry about that. That’s alright. Listen, I was just read some information from the fundamental fundamentalist evangelistic association and information on them and what your thoughts are.
They very much remind me of some of the things that you say and you know the importance. Well, I’m not there may are different groups using the same names, but the other people are not going to be able to do that. IFCA I think is the conference of the fundamentalist of America that believe in the fundamentals, obviously which is what I do, I believe the fundamentals. But sometimes that term has gotten twisted and I’m not too sure if that’s the group I’m familiar with.
But basically they hold to the basic truths of scripture, the fundamentals and hold them to be dear and true and that’s what they preach and teach. So if it’s the same organization I’m thinking of, I would say they’re very good and they hold to the basic truth of scripture. We’ve got to go to break and we’ll come back and do a second half hour of Bibleline and I hope that you’ll keep yourated out to it right where it is.
We’ll be right back. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Alright I’m Dr. Englund instrument. Great to be with you. It’s Monday and we’re having fun and I hope you’re enjoying the Bible and program and you can enjoy this program many times over and over again by going to the Internet and hearing it today and then also hearing it in archives for the rest of the month. And so you can go back and catch many, many, many Bible and programs.
And the The nice thing is that you can back me up, you can pause me, you can fast forward and you can just take careful notes and follow along and we hope you’ll enjoy that. We also have some sermons that are there in the archive section. Plus, of course, you click on that camera and you can go back and watch my morning worship service and the message I deliver on Sundays. We had a family from England watching yesterday and we have a family that regularly watches from Sweden.
So it really is the world wide web and you can catch our worship services and those were people watching it live and that’s amazing isn’t it? And I’m just amazed by the technology of today but you can catch our radio and television programs on the internet. All you have to do is go to BibleLineMinistries.org or dot com. Click on the camera for the worship services. Click on the TV set for the TV programs. Click on the spinning globe for the radio programs.
And there’s a place there on our radio page for you to leave off your questions and we’ll get those and try to answer them as quickly as we can. Excuse me. People are calling in from all over. We have a caller coming up right after the break from Cherokee, Texas. It will be listening to what he has to say in just a minute. Again, we have some wonderful resources. We have that strong concordance, which is wonderful. If you’re studying the Bible, it’s bigger than the L pages, but it has every word, every day, every hour, every end, every better be shelved by a simple number code system.
You can find out what it meant, what the Hebrew or Greek word was and what it meant, how it’s translated. And you have access to the scholarship of 200 Hebrew and Greek scholars. And it’s worth its worth its weight and gold. If you’re going to do any kind of Bible studies, best not to go to the English Dictionary, but go to the actual Greek or Hebrew word and see what it meant and it’ll help you immensely. I hope if you haven’t given a gift to Bibleline for the month of March, would you send us a gift by mail or call in our 800 number and give a gift by credit card.
We would love to have you be a part of the Bibleline Program by partnering with us and helping to get this message out and your gift would really be appreciated at this time. We’re going to rejoin the stations that have been on break and do the second half of Bible lines so keep your dial tuned right where it is as we now join up with other stations.
Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We’re back for that break and it’s great to be with you here again today on Bibleline. And we appreciate all of our listeners and look forward to being with you. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. We’re on the pastor. You’re always invited to drop by and see us.
And we hope that you’ll take advantage of that and come and visit us if you’re in the area. But if you’re coming in from out of town on business or vacation, drop by and see us. We’re right next to the airport. And it just takes a minute once you exit the airport to just make a right turn and swing right around the west side and you’ll find that the Calvary Community Church is right there, right directly west of the main north-south runway of Tampa International Airport.
Exciting stuff. We are looking forward to being with you every day and we will be in Israel next Monday and We’ll do some of the broadcasts from over there. We hope if we trust that God will allow us to get a good connection so we can get our signal back here. But we’ll have fun and we’ll be talking about the places we’ll be seeing and I hope you’ll enjoy the Bibleline programs. A couple will have to be repeats because we won’t be able to broadcast while we’re traveling on that first day, but we’ll try to connect up and get to you as soon as we can once we’re over there and share with you our experience.
Pray for us and pray for a great trip. And by the way, if you would pray for Bibleline, that would be greatly appreciated to pray for me. And also, if you haven’t given a gift to Bibleline for the month of March, this would be a great opportunity for you to do that. to help us out. Take this message out as we are reaching out all over the world by internet and of course to many cities across North America on the broadcast as we come off the satellite and many stations are are picking us up.
We hope that you are enjoying the program. I hope you’ll tell your friends about it and help us expand our audience but don’t forget also we have television programs and you can go to our internet site and look at those in archive and watch the current show for the week and it’s exciting to be able to bring it to the world in that venue and 147 countries have logged on that have done that. You can send a gift to my blind if you don’t have the address you can call and our operators will recite it to you or send you a numb look with our address printed on it but you can also give a gift by credit card over the phone.
Plus we have numerous resources. You’ve got an incredible book that’s worth its weight in gold and it’s called The Exodus and it’s got pictures of Cheeriot Wheels at the bottom of the Red Sea. Most incredible thing you’ve ever seen. I got to meet with the guy who is doing a documentary in a film that will be coming out this coming year on that and you, I got to see his boat and his dive team as a photograph. And apparently one of them, most of them are encrusted with barnacles and things and so on.
But they have the same spoke pattern as the wheels of the Egyptian chariots in the Cairo Museum there in Cairo. And there’s one that they found that has no encrustation. It’s wood overlaid with gold. They believe that that might actually be the chariot of the Pharaoh himself. Can you imagine? I have gold wheels on your chariot. And when he drowned in the Red Sea, there lies his chariot as a testament to his death. Interesting, isn’t it? We’re living in a time of technology and the ability to go down and photograph and so on.
But you might want to look at some of these pictures. This book is just full of pictures and shows you the chariot wheels on the bottom of the Red Sea. That’s just a book I love. Anyway, we just hooked up with the gentleman who’s involved in these researches over there in the Red Sea and met him last week in fact and I just got a new supply of that book which is incredible. The pictures are just wonderful. You might want to order some of the things we have in our resource that include the two commentaries that I recommend.
The Jameson Foset Brown has a comment on every verse in the Bible. The other is the Jay Vernon McGee 5-volume commentary and then has something on every chapter in the Bible. Those two are my favorites and I believe you’ll get all you need to get going with if you’ll only have those two in your library. and then a good reference Bible, we have the Scofield reference Bible, which is getting more rare today because the Scofield Bible now has been watered down.
They came out with a second Scofield, a new Scofield, and now they’ve come out with this new hybrid, which is even worse. And the notes are not as good as the original. You want to get the old, and that’s the only one we stock in our resource center here at Bible and we have Mike in Tampa, Florida calling in and he leaves this offer your question in Genesis 4 17 He says where did Cain’s wife come from? Well, it was one of his sisters and when he Was banished to the land of Nod He took his wife with him when it says Cain knew his wife over there in the land of Nod It speaks of a sexual knowledge a sexual relationship You’ll notice immediately following it says she conceived and of course they bore children there in the land of God.
But there was a lot of people around when the murder took place. Apparently, Cain and Abel were about 125 years old when that murder took place. And we find that Cain was buried and took his wife with him. We have Charles in Cherokee, Texas, and we welcome you to Bibleline. Thanks for calling in today. Charles are you there? Yes, sir. Just Dr. Hine? Yes, it is. You’re on the air. I got two questionnaires. One is I want to get your opinion of certain, you know, Bible, things called life application my daughter has, life application, what, new living translation?
Well the new living translation is terrible. I’m not too sure that the notes are that mad as far as the life application, but the new living is a paraphrase to begin with. A paraphrase means the author has a liberty to express whatever he reads, however he wants. And so it’s not really a true translation. A true translation is where you take word for word and translate into the language you’re going into. The paraphrase just expresses the thought, however they want.
The New Living Bible doesn’t get repentance right. I went and checked every time the word of repentance occurs. They just apparently took a word processor and took the phrase, turn from sin and replace repent with that. Of course, that’s the wrong meaning. The Greek word is metanoia and it means a change of mind. They should have put change of mind in every place, but they put turn from sin, which is terribly wrong. And numerous other things. Ephesians 4. It takes out that whole story of price going down into the heart of the earth.
Ephesians 4, 8 through 10 is not there. Gone! Just totally gone. And numerous other things. And of course, Mr. Taylor in bringing us that Bible didn’t understand James. And he actually says in there that you’re saved by works in James 2, which is not true. James was talking about justification before men by works, not before God, and he’s not talking about being saved by works, but being justified before men and having your testimony be effective by your work. So there’s lots of flaws in the new living translation.
I don’t like it at all. Then could this in the Ezekiel 13 chapter? Yes, sir. In verses 18 through 20, I believe that is Ezekiel talking about false prophets. But I don’t understand that deal where it’s talking about hunt souls and flying pillow holes or something like that. I don’t know where you have read that or not. Well, it is talking about false prophets and how that you need to watch out because they do hunt for you. You know, in Ephesians it says in chapter 4 that they lie in wait to deceive you.
And so they are deceptive. And even the witnesses now have a brand new approach where they appear to be Christian and a fellow in our church here said that witnesses came to his door and he didn’t realize they were witnesses at first because they said, we’re a part of a new Christian group that is meeting in your neighborhood. And so he thought they were Christians. But turns out he found out in a few minutes they were Joe’s witnesses. So the cults are very deceitful that way and it talks about different things that they have that they…
He’s considered to be, I guess, magical or helpful in their system of worship. And I think that’s what the pillows are talking about there. It’s talking about things that they use in their manner of worship. But that’s all about false prophets. Yeah, I thought this might be, would nullify the rapture theory. Something about hunting souls and the gods anger in it’s real strong against all that. Yeah, but it has nothing to do with the Rapture. The Rapture is not even in the Old Testament.
The Rapture has to do with this present age. It was not revealed in the Old Testament and began at Pentecost and ended at the Rapture. But we’ve just simply been inserted into the age of law which began at Mount Sinai. And once the Rapture happens, the last seven years of the Old Testament will tick off the clock. And so the seven years of the Old Testament are called Daniel’s 70th week and they’re the concluding week of years that will conclude the Old Testament age.
But I’m glad you’re listening. I mean you must be listening by internet. Yes, sir. Anyway, well I know you got a lot of love, so I don’t type anymore your time. But thanks for speaking with me. You’re welcome Charles and keep listening out there in Cherokee, Texas. And we appreciate your call. We have Jimmy in Chesterfield, Virginia and Jimmy, welcome to the Bibleline. Yes, Dr. Henn, I got two questions. How do you commit a doctor? Do you have to follow through on the act of just thinking about it?
What could you explain that and like I want? Sure. And Jesus of course said, if you look on a woman and lust after her, you’ve committed adultery with her in your heart. Now, it’s not the same as actually committing the act, obviously, but it still is the act of adultery in your mind. Basically sin starts in your mind and then is carried out. So you need to be careful to not allow those thoughts to continue and entertain them, but to have your mind under control.
The Bible says keep your mind and your imagination captive under the control of Christ and as believers we can do that. But definitely it says in 1 John 3 15 that if you hate your brother you’ve committed murder with him in your heart. So these are acts that begin in your mind and obviously you could carry them out and you could murder your brother or you could commit adultery. But it begins in your mind and Christ says that that’s where it starts.
Now when you ask it, it’s a pretty woman just walk by and you just look and then you forget about it with that consider it to just look. Well, I mean, if you lust it after her physically, obviously then you committed it over with her. But otherwise, if you just watch the woman pass by, it’s not the same thing. But women can do that too. They can lust after men and commit adultery in their mind just like a man can.
And certainly, Christ warns about that sin begins in your mind. Okay. Now, mark with the beef now. Would that happen before the rapture of doing the tribulation period? After the Rapture right in the middle of the tribulation period halfway through in Revelation Chapter 13 it describes the mark That would be put in and it’ll happen in the second half of the tribulation period Okay, thank you very much. All right. We had failed to answer Rene’s second question earlier about the 144,000 Reading in Revelation 7 verse 4, it identifies 144,000 as Jewish men.
It says, I heard the number of them that were sealed and they were sealed, 140,000 and 4,000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel. So they’re clearly Jewish. Then it gives you 12 tribes and 12,000 from each tribe. 12,000 times 12 is 144,000. And so in order to be 104,000 you have to be Jewish. In chapter 14 of Revelation it continues to tell us that they are all male and they’re all virgin male. So they’re unmarried, virgin men, all Jewish, 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes and Rene, I hope that answers that and I’m sorry that we abandoned that question on there for you.
We have Tony in Rome, New York and Tony, welcome to Bibleline You’re On the Air. Good morning Dr. Hange. to hear from you. My question to you is will we as believers ever see our unsafe relatives suffering in the lake of fire? I can’t say definitely but maybe at the Great White Throne Judgment we’re going to be there as spectators and perhaps we’ll see them at that last moment but then it talks in chapter 21 right after that happens about God coming over and wiping way tears from our eyes.
So there apparently will be Some sorrow there at that initial point, but then it says that he’ll apparently remove things from our memory that would cause sorrow and it would be no more sorrow no more pain no more death no none of those things would ever follow after that so Revelation 20 you have the lost cast into hell. I think we will be there and we’ll see that happen and then apparently there will be tears shed and God in Revelation 21 4 will wipe away those tears.
Then we find that he apparently a few verses further wipes away things from our memory that would cause us continued sorrow and eternity and will not remember that anymore. Hope that helps. And that was Tony in Rome, New York. We have Jerome in Petersburg, Virginia and Jerome, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, yes, Dr. Hank. Yes, sir. Yes, I have a question. It’s on TADS. Now, I have a job. My TADS has around 300 a month. Is it biblical itself for me to, like, break the incentive to different organizations that I believe in, you know, instead of just giving the whole 300 to one organization?
Well, in some cases, I think you almost have to because in some cases, you know, if you You have, like I’ve been telling people in 1nd John, verse 11, it says if you are supportive of God bless and so on and in any way contribute to a church that has false doctrine, then it’s a negative because it says you’re going to be partaker of their evil deeds. So if you have a ministry that is blessing you, that is scripturally sound, then you can give your money to that ministry because that’s where you’re being fed.
But sometimes it’s difficult to find a sound ministry anymore. We’re living in the age that the Bible predicted in 2nd Timothy 4, 3, and 4, where it says they would not endure in the last days sound doctrine, but they would turn away their ears from the truth and be turned on to fables. I think we’re living there right now. So it’s a difficult thing sometimes. If you have a good sound church, then you ought to support that church. But if you don’t have one, then you might have to disperse it wherever you’re getting fed, however you’re getting fed through whatever ministries.
Okay, well, thank you. You’re so welcome. Thank you for calling in. That was Jerome. We have Carol in Lakeland, Florida. Carol, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Air. Thank you so much, Dr. Lindstrom. I’m a regular listener, and I appreciate so much your teaching. Dr. Lindstrom, I have an adult child daughter that loves the Lord and she started going to a church and they are using the English standard version. And so she bought a copy of it and I have it in my hand right now.
It’s published from, I guess, cross way. Do you have any information on this Bible? Yeah, absolutely. Back in England, there was a group of men that made a man-made Greek text called the Critical Text, and the English translation that they made from that was called the English Standard Version. And what they had hoped to do was replace the King James, and they used the word standard as an advertising ploy, that this would become the standard English version for all the English-speaking people.
Well, that translation died in ten years. it never went anywhere, apparently it wasn’t very popular. Then an American group decided to take the same project and they called it the American Standard Version, same Bible, essentially very little change. Then when the copyright ran out on that, a guy in California of the Lockman Foundation decided he would make the American Standard new and that’s the new American Standard. Every one of these are flawed and in fact the John 647, one of My favorite verses says, I rarely, rarely I say unto you, he the belief upon me has everlasting life.
Well, they leave out on me. So it just simply says, he who believes has eternal life. It doesn’t tell you on whom you are to believe. That’s serious. Also when you have Christ being tempted and he says, get behind me Satan. That whole phrase is gone. You’ll find over in 1 Timothy 3, 16 when it talks about the deity of Christ. It says by our common confession. That seems to make it that we have to vote on whether we believe God is God or Jesus is God or not.
And then he goes on to say, he was manifest in the flesh. Well, that’s meaningless because you’re manifest in the flesh. I’m manifest in the flesh. The fellows here answering the phones at Bible and are manifest in the flesh. But to say as it does in the King James, God was manifest in the flesh is significant. to save just he was mended in the fire. Mr. D. Thank you. Thanks. Thank you. Thank you, thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Okay. Good evening, everybody. Well, thanks for being here. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I’ll pass it on to Mr. Joel. He says, yes, yes. I’m right out here. Where is his name? Okay. I’ll pass it on to you. You can see his influence in that man-made text that they came up with. Do you happen to know the Unitarian’s name? We have a book here called New Age Bible Versions, and he is, I think his name is Scriven or something close to that, and it’s listed.
The ones that are participants are listed in that book. I will get your book, The New Age Bible Versions. Bible Versions. Thank you. This is called our President, and you can order it and we’ll ship it out to you. Okay. Thank you, sir. that was Carol in Lakeland, Florida. And the devil is clever. Well, you know we’re warned in Revelation 22, 18 and 19 not to add to or take away from God’s Word and boy the new Bible translators don’t seem to care about that verse at all because they’re guilty of in some cases up to 5,000 omissions or subtractions from the Bible and that is for bed and we have gone in st.
Petersburg, Florida and don welcome the Bible and you’re on the air. Yeah, I’m listening about all the different questions on Bible so I was going to go out and buy a parallel Bible with the King James at NAS and IV, you know, whatever in the living Bible and then I could compare all four columns since I was reading. Yes sir. What do you think of that? Well, you can do that. In fact, there is one of them out there.
I have a copy of my library. 26 versions all parallel. That’ll tell you to scratch your head. Well, I’d rather scratch my head than it. Well, yeah. I think that at least, and you know, some of the computer programs have all these and you can, you know, put up, you know, at least maybe four at one time to compare as you scroll on your computer if you have a computer. But I think it’s a good idea so so that you become alert.
If you don’t compare, you won’t realize what verses are missing certain things. Like that one I just mentioned in John 647, it’s so subtle. The two words on me are gone. Instead of saying he that believeth on me has everlasting life. In the new American standard, it says simply he who believes has eternal life. That doesn’t take on whom to believe. You have to believe on Christ, not just believe. Is there a place on the internet where a person could look up all 26 of those versions?
I Would imagine so, you know, there’s so much on the internet. I think you could probably do it I don’t know if you could do it Side-by-side at one time right but I know that there are some you know if you just go to Walmart You can get a real inexpensive Bible program with about 20 something translations and you can probably divide your screen up and put up At least four at one time maybe more and I’d recommend you do that So you don’t spend a lot of money you can just go to Walmart for ten bucks.
You can get a program and do what you’re talking about Well, very good. That’ll be a thing. I’m gonna do that. Thank you very much. I don’t work for Walmart, but they do have some good Inexpensive Bible programs, and I think it’s wonderful. They I have that available. We’re gonna go to Adam and This is not Adam from the book of Genesis, but Adam in Tampa, Florida and Adam Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Yes, sir. It’s about your teaching on repentance.
I change your mind There are three different words. Yeah, there are three different words there. That is a great place to teach on repentance because The main word is metanoia But there is two other words that are just used one is used I think six times the one is two times that are not the same word at all and This is a great chapter to see that it says in verse Seven verse eight here of second Corinthians seven for though I made you sorry with a letter.
I do not Repent now this is Metamilitas and this word means to regret or to sorrow so he says I I do not regret though So I did regret writing the letter. So the letter initially caused some sorrow and he said initially he regretted having written it and making sorrow, the Corinthians sorrowful, but then he changed his mind because of the effect it had. Then he says in verse 9, now I rejoice not that you are made sorry, but that you sorrowed to repentance.
That’s methanoya, which is a change of mind. In verse 10 it says, For Godly sorrow worketh repentance, that is again metanoi the change of mind, two solvations. So you change your mind to be saved. Then it says not to be repented of. That phrase is one word in the Greek. It’s A metamilitas and A means a negative like atheist instead of atheist. Atheist means no God. This means that there is no change of mind on the part of God.
Once you get saved it says you’re stuck. because god is it revocables another good word to translate into once you trust christ the salvation is not going to be revoked because god is not going to change his mind about he saves you forever to the thing you okay and we thank you for tuning in today we’re right at the end of the show i hope everybody has trusted christ is saviour and if you haven’t you need to say lord on the center but i trust jesus is that the shed but is the only means of my salvation.
