Welcome to Bibleline. of Florida, declaring God’s love through radio and television, providing real answers to an ever-searching world. Got a question? Dial toll free at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Good morning and welcome to Bibleline. I’m great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast Looking forward to being with you each and every day Monday through Friday’s we come to you live from Tampa, Florida From our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church.

We’re on the pastor and thanks for tuning in today By the way, there’s a lot of exciting things happening this week. This is the crucifixion week and we believe tomorrow is good Wednesday the day that Christ was crucified and And then Friday is just plain Friday and Saturday is the resurrection day at sundown actually 6 p.m. Saturday is the end of the Sabbath and the beginning of the first day of the week and we believe Christ rose at sundown.

He said in Matthew 1240 that he’d be three days and three nights in the grave. That’s 72 hours. Therefore he must come up with a new life. come out of the grave 72 hours after he’s placed in the grave. If he’s placed in the grave at sundown, he has to come out at sundown. We’re having a sundown service. Maybe you’d like to come and join us if you’re in the area. If you’re driving distance, come at 6 PM Saturday and join us for our resurrection service.

At the time we believe Christ rose from the dead. We’re probably the only church in America that’s doing a sundown service, we believe this is the correct time to do it. And of course Sunday we’ll celebrate in our morning worship service, the resurrection of Christ. And what really happened on Sunday morning was there was a discovery of the empty tomb. Nobody saw Jesus walk out of the tomb door at 6 a.m. Sunday morning. So in any case we invite you to come out and see us.

It’ll be a great weekend. We’ll have a wonderful sundown service Saturday, April 7th at 6 We will have a wonderful resurrection service on Sunday at 10.30 a.m. We will also have my adult class and other classes available if you come at 9.15 on Sunday morning April 8. I hope you will. We will get to the Bible a little bit and then we will be taking our callers. People are already calling in. Should Christian Jews the E word? Now the E word is Easter.

I really don’t like to use it because Easter is pagan. What does the term Easter mean? Well, in the Old Testament times the Bible talks about Astroth and Baal worship. In 1 Kings 11, 5, 3, 6, it says Solomon went after Astroth, that is Easter in English, the goddess of the Zydodians and Malcolm, the abomination of the Amorites. Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord and went not fully after the Lord as did David his father. So Astroth is the mother of Baal.

And if you just drop the last three letters, it’s Aishtar or in the English E-star or Easter. And so the short form is Easter and this is the name of the mother of Baal. Easter is nothing other than Bail’s mother, and the celebration or worship of Astra at this forbidden in the Old Testament Scriptures. If you read Judges 2 13 through 14 it says Israel forsook the Lord and began to serve Bail and Astra at the Bible tells us the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel.

You think God has mellowed out over all these years? I don’t think so. It probably gets just as angry and we as Christians either do our homework and realize that we don’t want to celebrate Easter. I personally celebrate resurrection, the resurrection of Christ from the dead. We have candy on that Sunday coming up and we’ll call that resurrection candy. We have special music. We’ll call it resurrection music. We call that Sunday resurrection Sunday, not Easter Sunday and we have ladies that wear special dresses and we call them resurrection dresses.

You just make the simple transaction to get rid of the E word and use the R word. In 316 AD, Constantine was in charge of the known world. And in 321 AD, he declared Christianity to be the world religion. The pagans didn’t go away. They simply gave their practices new names. So, Astroph and Baal became Mary and Jesus. So Mary today is known as the Queen of Heaven, but this is a pagan title given to Astroth as Astroth was worshipped in the Old Testament.

Astroth and Bail were adored and worshipped and many today adored and worshipped Mary in Jesus. Just read Jeremiah 44 where they prayed to the Queen of Heaven. That’s a title given to Mary today, but that was the title given to the mother of Bail in the Old Testament in Jeremiah 44. We might ask ourselves, who is the real Mary? Who is the real Jesus? Unless we examine what we believe in the light of the Scriptures, we might well be deceived and be accepting a Mary that’s not the Mary of the Bible and a Jesus that’s not the Jesus of the Bible.

the scriptures, only God is to be adored and worshiped. Exodus chapter 20, so we need to watch out. And today, of course, it’s a subtly, most people don’t know, and most people innocently use the word Easter. But technically, this is the name of the mother of male. So as Christians, we should be celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We should use the R word as in resurrection and not the E word as in Easter, the name of the mother of Baal, Astroth, the short form Astrart, the English form Estar or Easter in English.

So we celebrate here at least at my church, the resurrection and we try to get rid of the E word altogether. In that interesting, and I think that if you’re liking to have further information, to have a whole article written on it. We’ll be happy to send out to you free of charge. Just call and leave us your name and address and we’ll be happy to send that to you. We’re living of course 2000 years since Christ has been crucified, but yet he is alive.

He It has come back from the dead. He’s coming back again throughout the Bible. It tells us Jesus is coming. Obviously he can’t tell if he didn’t rise from the dead. It is implied if not directly stated throughout the New Testament that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. And first Corinthians declares if Christ did not come back from the dead, then nobody comes back from the dead because Christ himself is the resurrection and he’s the one that calls forth the dead one day when we talk about the bodies that those who have died will receive.

You know, at the moment of death as a believer, you are absent from your body, present with the Lord. That means your soul and your spirit leave the body and go directly to be with the Lord. That is 2 Corinthians 5a. But we will get new resurrection bodies at the day called the day of the resurrection. And those bodies will be perfect, sinless bodies that will live in forever and ever and ever. And so if you died today, your soul spirit would go immediately to be with the Lord if you’re a believer, if you’ve trusted Christ the Savior that is.

But then you’d have to wait until the event of the rapture when you would get your brand new body. First the saloons 414 says that when we believe the gospel message, the fact that Christ died, was buried in rose again from the dead, then we find that it says that when Christ comes back, He will bring the souls of those that have died believing in Christ as Savior with Him and their new bodies will rise up from the earth and they will be soul and body reunited.

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds. That is the rapture. So those that are living believers at the event of the coming of Christ will receive their bodies on the way up will be transformed into our new resurrection bodies at the event of the Rapture. I’m personally looking forward to my brand new body. It will be perfect. I’ll be perfectly satisfied with it and I’ll enjoy that new body forever and ever and ever.

First Corinthians 15 is the resurrection chapters where it tells us there will be distinctions Between us we’ll be recognizable. Our bodies will be youthful. If you’re older, you’ll be younger. If you’re younger, you’ll be older. In fact, everybody probably will be in appearance about 33 years of age. How do we know? Well, the Bible tells us our bodies will be like Christ’s body. And Christ came back from the dead in the very body that he’d been crucified in. He was about 33 years of age when he was crucified.

So we believe that we’ll be about 33 years in appearance in heaven. If you’re older, you can say, wow, that’s going to be great. I would love to have a body 33 years of age, and that will be the appearance of your resurrection body. But this is an exciting week. We believe Christ rose from the dead on Saturday at sundown, and we’ll be celebrating that at sundown Saturday at 6 p.m. We invite you to come and join us for our resurrection service.

If you are not able to, then join us on Sunday morning for our resurrection service at 10.30. And of course, if you are not in Tampa or in the Tampa Bay area, you can of course go to the internet and watch our worship service. If not at the time when we are doing it, it will be an archive for you to watch next week on your internet. So give that a try. By the way, our radio programs are right now being streamed and you can catch our radio program from anywhere in the world if you just go to the BibleLineMinistries.org website.

We’re going to go to our colors. We have already Joey in Plant City on the line. Joey, welcome to Bibleline and thanks for calling in today. Thank you, Dr. Hank. I just have a question about the altars being stacked. It said that he stepped the wood in and I’ll hang up and listen to you and say thank you. God bless. I don’t think it has any special meaning except that it was, you know, as you would build a fire, you lay it in a way that the air will catch it and burn and get a hot fire because the sacrifice would be a burnt offering and the fire would burn the body and it had to be a hot fire.

So, I don’t think it means anything more than that. Certainly in Genesis 22 you have the whole story of the gospel. Of course Christ suffered the penalty for our sins by His death on the cross. Now Jesus paid for all of our sins on the cross. Some have imagined as the apostles’ creed is wrong, it says Christ descended into hell. That’s not true. Christ did not go to hell. When He died, He went to paradise. Connect the dots here.

Write these down. He told the dying thief today, Thou shalt be with me in paradise. So we know that paradise was in the heart of the earth and that’s where Christ went during those three days and three nights. He did not ascend into hell. That’s why I don’t recite the Apostles’ Creed. We don’t use it in our church because it is wrong. Christ did not go to hell. He did not pay for any sin after he died on the cross.

Remember on the cross Jesus said it is finished, which means he paid for every one of our sins past present and future on the cross. Then he descended into the heart of the earth into paradise. And on the third day he emptied it out. All the Old Testament saints were there waiting for their salvation to be paid for. And so he delivered them and took them up to heaven. Now Paradise is presently in heaven according to 2 Corinthians 12 verse 3 you can read about it.

And so no longer do saints or believers upon death go to the heart of the earth they go straight to heaven because our sin that has been now fully paid by Christ death at the cross. We have Jimmy in Nashville, Tennessee and Jimmy welcome to Bibleline. How are you doing Dr. Heint? Good. Dr. Hain, the question I was wanting to ask you when the church gets ruptured out, would a Holy Spirit be still in the world or when Jesus takes it out, would He take it the Holy Spirit with them?

Because I was wondering, will be saved in the church of the Holy Spirit? Well, that’s a good question, but the Holy Spirit will be here during the Tribulation period, but not as an entwilling person in the believers of the Tribulation period. In the Old Testament times, the Holy Spirit would come and would go, would empower people for special service, especially the prophets. But then he might leave. David, when he sinned, Psalm 51 said, Lord, take not thy Holy Spirit from me.

So the Holy Spirit could be taken from a believer in the Old Testament. But in this age between Pentecost and the Rapture, the Holy Spirit Permanently, but once the rapture happens, then we’ll go back to the Old Testament economy, and the Holy Spirit will be present and be certainly a real part of evangelism. Then we will go back to the Old Testament economy, and the Holy Spirit will be present and be certainly a real part of evangelism. If you didn’t take the mark of the beast, you would be killed and then God says, if you ever take the mark of the beast, it will be down forever.

I always took that as the ones who didn’t take the mark of the beast and got killed That’s how a person was eventually saved in a tribulation pair. I just was wondering if I was right or wrong or in that light anyway. But, uh, thank you. You’re so welcome. Those who get saved in the tribulation period obviously will know because they are reading their Bible, not to take the market of the East, and they don’t. But the unbelievers don’t know better, and they will just jump right in on the system and take the mark, and they don’t realize how evil it is and how it’s a part of the way the Antichrist will control those that are not believers in the Tribulation.

We’re almost there. We now buy and sell by a mark, or by a number, or credit card numbers, and so on. In the tribulation period apparently that mark will actually be put in your body In your hand or in your forehead and people will Apparently do all their purchasing by means of that identification Thank you Jimmy in Nashville, Tennessee. We now have Paul down in Sarasota, Florida and Paul. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Thank you. I had a question Now I know that Satan had access to God in heaven.

Okay, I believe the access is not his actual presence in heaven. I don’t think Satan is allowed to go to heaven, but certainly just like you and I can talk to God in prayer. Satan has communication with God and according to Revelation 12, Satan is the accuser of the believers and he accuses us day and night. Of course, thank God we have Jesus who is our advocate according to 1 John chapter 2, who he is our lawyer who pleads our case and says every time Satan accuses us of something God or Jesus says that’s true but I’ve paid for those sins so you cannot change what I have done at the cross and that person saved and definitely will be with me in heaven.

So I hope that helps and thank you for the call. Alright, thank you. That was Paul down in Sarasota and we have now Keith in Lakeland, Florida and Keith, welcome to Bible and you’re on the air. Hello, Dr. Hank, how are you? Good. About the Church of Christ. My question is if some of the honestly trust Christ in their safety and what he did on the cross for them. But I also believe that you have to be baptized. I think it’s Mark 1616.

They say to him, he’s confused about that. No, they will not be saved because you are saved by Christ alone and the Church of Christ teaches water baptism and keeping the commandments and so on. In addition are required to be saved and that’s works. It says in Romans 11, 6, if you’re saved by grace, then it is no more of works. Otherwise grace isn’t grace. the second part of the verse is even more powerful. If it be of works which the Church of Christ teaches, then it is no more of grace, which means you’ll have no mercy when you stand before God.

If you stand before God in your works and have no grace or mercy, then you’ll be cast into health. Salvation according to Ephesians 2, 8 is not of yourself. It is the gift of God. It’s not of works, as Teddy mentioned, boast or brag. If you’re trusting in Christ plus anything, the answer to that formula will equal zero or no salvation. It says in Galatians 5, 4, Christ is become of no effect unto you, whose whoever view are trying to be justified by the law or by works.

So Christ won’t count anything for somebody who is attempting to be saved by Christ plus works. 2, Galatians 5, 4, and numerous verses warn us that unless you trusted Christ alone, You really haven’t trusted Christ. My little illustration is if you’re on a dock and you’re going to step off onto a little boat and you put one foot on the boat and you still have one foot on the dock, are you trusting the boat to hold your weight? The answer is no.

Well what if you put both feet on the boat but yet you’re still with both hands holding onto the dock? Are you trusting the boat? No you’re not. You’re trusting that fact you’re holding onto the boat. the dock. What happens if you put two feet on the boat and you let go with one hand, but you’re still holding on with one hand to the dock? You’re still not trusting the little boat. What if you take both feet and both hands away from the dock, but you’re holding on to a rope that’s tied securely to the dock?

Again, you’re not trusting the boat. It’s not until you cut all ties, water baptism, church membership, or whatever it is you might think would save you and totally and simply trust Christ that you have actually by definition then trusted Christ to save you as long as you’re holding on to baptism or church membership or keeping the commandments or living the Christian life you’ve never really trusted Christ. Great that helped me very much. Can I ask you one more quick question?

The old Scotov Bible is page 1172. the 16th and verse 40 there’s a little why that you know how you put it in a column reference it says watch find that out I didn’t know and I know I believe that you the why is missing yeah all right that’s going to pay page 11 what 1172 okay and I’m looking for the why yes in the center reference column I see it it’s right there it’s uh about three quarters the way down and the why in my bible says X 14 22 and Philippians 2 1 and 2.

You see it? It’s in mind. Oh, no, I sure don’t. I guess something might be wrong then. Page 11 72 and you go down the center column and I see the little Y and it’s right there in my mouth. X Y and then Z and then it starts with the A all over again and starts the alphabet all one more time again. Right, okay, huh? I certainly appreciate it. You really helped me and that my listen to you as often as I can.

Thank you Keith and God bless you in Lakeland, Florida. We now have Jerry in Zephyr Hills, Florida. Jerry, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes sir, thank you. I get a Bible when it speaks about Deborah, Silla, Martyrs, Bill Road that they played. I was at different than what Paul, the spores, elders, deacons, and especially pastors. Okay, that’s a good question. It’s a good question. Sure. All right. You know, doesn’t mean because things happened that it was God’s head, his endorsement, or he was in approval.

I think that because of lack of male leadership, these women rose and took leadership. And I think that was not really what got intended. Even though God had said that a man was the only one wife, you have Solomon having 700 wives. And then it says he had 300 in addition to that, concubines. little kid came home from Sunday school and told his mom that he heard that Solomon had 300 porcupines. She didn’t explain it to him though. She let it go at that.

But in any case, not everything that people did in the Old Testament was according to scripture. Obviously, he did place men in authority. The twelve patriarchs were all men. All of those that were priests were all men, and the same type is carried into the New Testament and got intended to be that way. But too often men are not taking the leadership they need to, and there have been times when there was no real strong male leadership and women rose to the occasion.

All I can say is that God used them, but shame on the men that didn’t stand up when they should have and I think that happens too often today. I was raised in a church where women did everything. There was only the pastor, otherwise the pianist, the organist, were women, the choir director was a woman. All my teachers and all my classes as a child were women and every time I ever heard a missionary it was all women and I just had no male role models as a little boy and I began to, when I got saved, began to say where are the men?

I’m so excited today to challenge men to take their leadership position and step up to the plate. In fact, so often when I teach my classes, we have about 85% men that come. I’m just excited about that men are stepping up and should. But many churches, I don’t think, encourage that or speak about it and show the importance of it. But men definitely ought to be stepping up to the plate. I want to thank you all for those calls who are coming up on our break time.

This is Bible Adam, Dr. Anglins from and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. From our studios here at the Calvary Community Church, we’re excited to be with you and we’re excited about this week.

Tomorrow we believe we’ll be the Crucifixion Day Wednesday of the Crucifixion Week. Christ was crucified. Thursday was the Passover of that week and Christ died exactly in the twilight or the evening of the Passover which is the preceding afternoon and that would be Wednesday at 3 and then he was placed in the grave for 72 hours and raised we believe Saturday at sundown when the Sabbath ended and the first day of the week began. And so in the morning they discovered the empty tomb.

We’re going to have a sundown service. Welcome to come this Saturday April 7 at 6 p.m. Come join us for a wonderful evening of celebration of the resurrection of Christ and then also come again on Sunday morning for our 10 30 morning Resurrection Sunday service and we have special things planned for the children They’ll get resurrection candy and we use the word resurrection for everything because that’s what it’s really all about And of course you can watch that on the internet if you are living in other cities So you can join us on Sunday morning by going to the internet or you can do it later Throughout the next week because it’ll go into the archive section and you can catch Exactly what we are presenting here at my church on that Sunday morning this Sunday morning coming up Resurrection Sunday our phone lines are just jammed up here

you’re welcome to call and we’ll try to take your calls quickly as we can. If you haven’t, by the way, helped us in the month of April. We are totally supported by our listeners and maybe you’d like to give a gift this month of April to Bibleline to help us stay on the air and to expand this ministry. And you can do it by calling the 800 number and telling our operators that you’d like to leave a gift. And also you can, of course, mail it.

You can ask for us to send you a number up with your address on it or we’ll be happy to recite the address real slow so you can get it down. We have less over in the land Florida patiently waiting and less welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning sir. Yeah, comment on the gentleman I called earlier about the Church of God and I got an example. Say a man walking out the street picks up the trash Jesus, right?

Yes. He dropped his E.Z. except Christ. Okay, he picks him out, he saved them. Absolutely and forever, even if he goes into bad doctor later. Okay, that was my question because I mean, it kind of led to Bleakman. He very well could pick up, go to the close of the church and be taught. He can lose his salvation, he needs to do work and all this. You’re absolutely right. And so if a person gets saved, they’re safe forever. and some do get mistaught or allow themselves to be blinded afterward and Peter actually talks about people who are genuinely saved who can not grow and not add to their Christian like the elements that will keep them moving forward and actually forget that they were saved.

So a person can be saved and even forget that they were and that’s possible as Peter points out in his epistle. Well, I believe I was one of them. I think I was saved back when I was in the Navy and didn’t realize it until about 30 years later. Look at that. Sure. I think there are more than we might realize that I have experienced exactly what you’re talking about. Okay. I kind of got the wrong impression, I guess.

Yeah, good. Thank you, Les. I’m glad you clarified that. That’s good. Probably others did too. Okay. Thank you. Thank you very much. Anyway, that was less over in the land, Florida, and now we have Angel in Lakeland, Florida. Angel, welcome to Biowindia on the year. Hey, Dr. Hank, thank you for taking my calls. I had a question. Actually, I had two questions for you if we have time. one and that’s after it’s error. Robbie Zacharias, do you have an opinion of him or what do you think of him?

You know I don’t know a whole lot about what he teaches. I’d have to get on the internet and find out. Best piece is the best way you can find out. Usually most people have a doctoral statement or some kind of position about what they believe about the Bible there and you can take a look at it. to get on in and out and take a few minutes. It doesn’t take me long to find out because I know what I’m looking for, but basically that’s where you find out what people believe.

If you get our website, we present loud and clear what we believe and there’s no mistaking where we stand on issues. But most of them have some kind of a statement that will let you find out. Oh, okay, great. Well, then that’s what I’ll do. Well, you had an earlier caller, Keith from Lakeland, and he asked about the Mark 16, 16 verse. I have a friend that goes through the Church of Christ and I believe in what you’re saying and what you teach otherwise I wouldn’t be calling you.

But how you, I got all your references for your Bible verses, but when Jesus is the one that says it, how do you come back with that and say to them, well you don’t understand you’re misinterpreting her. Well, that verse I don’t believe is talking about water. You know, if you get any of my sheets, my articles on baptism, there are 10 baptisms taught in a new testament, and most of them are dry and don’t involve a liquid at all.

For example, the baptism of fire, the baptism of Jesus called the baptism of death, and obviously the baptism of the Holy Spirit doesn’t involve the liquid, and so on and so on. So what is the baptism there? Well, if you read Mark 1 8, it begins by saying, and John the Baptist said, I indeed have baptized you with water, but he, Christ, shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit. the end of the water in that whole book. You get to chapter 16 and Christ has already risen from the dead.

He is speaking. He is the one who is the baptizer with the baptism that saves. It is not water. It is the Holy Spirit. Christ is saying he to believe that his baptizer will be saved. I think he is talking about the Holy Spirit baptism which occurs and Christ is the baptizer. We are the baptizees when we get saved. So it’s not talking about water at all. Oh, okay. Well, that helps me a lot. You’re so welcome. I appreciate you doing this and taking everybody’s calls and everything.

We appreciate it very much. All right. God bless you, Angel. God bless you too. Okay. Now for those that want to go further, I have a CD that covers the 10 baptisms. It’s actually two sermons put together where we cover all 10 baptisms and it helps you Because you have to go and read the context to find out sometimes what baptism are we talking about. And most people in their minds, when they see the word baptize, their minds lock up.

They think water, water, water, water, water, water, water, they can’t think anything but water because they just don’t know that there are other baptisms. So you might want to get some of my articles or you might want to call an order. I think that CD is $7. It’s two sermons that we edited and put together in one CD an hour long of teaching on the ten different baptisms of the Bible. That’ll help anybody who’s struggling with that topic. We now have George and he’s in Deltona, Florida.

And George, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the end. Hello, Dr. Nis. In the beginning of the show, you’re speaking about the bail and eastern and all that. Right. Can you turn your radio down? No, we’re here. Turn your radio down. Turn your radio down, sir. All the way. Thank you. Go ahead. We’re talking about bail. I want to know what book I would find that has for you. All the way. Yeah, that was Judges 2. Judges 2. Okay. question.

Okay, you told me the other day about tongues and you gave me something in songs but I can’t find it and I’d like to know what it that would be about speaking in tongues. You look at my parents. Yeah, the passage I think we were saying gave you his first grade is 14. Right and then you said some about sounds I believe and I was looking for it but couldn’t find it. No anything in storms about that? No, I don’t think so.

Okay, but okay that’s I got the And I want to take up your time. I want somebody to tell me at the end of the show after this last question. A couple of things, somebody have to speak to your station there. I don’t want to get off the line. But the last thing is, as far as touching your spouse, your know, citizen’s in Bible, the correct piece I believe about your body, her body, her body, your body, stuff like that.

What does that mean? Can I touch her in certain manners or is there a certain way to speak about the other day? Well that’s talking about sex there. It’s something about that once you are a believer then you’re, I mean when you’re, once you’re married that you belong to each other and you can find your… I don’t want to say to him, I want to put my hand on the side. Is that a sin? Is that a sin? No.

Would you like to get mad at me? No, of course not. Okay. Alright. But if she doesn’t want me to do it, I shouldn’t do it. Right? Well, obviously you need to begin cooperation on this thing. Okay. No, because we can see that matter because I talked to the lady that I was driving and I didn’t want to. I don’t want to disrespect her in any sense. Sure. And I was trying to explain to her, look, the Lord says, you know, I wasn’t trying to use the Bible.

Bible as my weapon against her, but hey, the Lord says that, you know, sure, there’s nothing wrong about that. So thank you, George, and we appreciate that call, and somehow we just lost it. But now we are going to Joe in Port Richie, and Joe, welcome to Bibleline. Yes, you caught me off guard. I was listening to the radio. I had a question for you. Okay. I was wondering about, maybe the question was answered already. already. Okay. The two thieves that was on the cross beside Jesus when he was crucified.

Right. You will be with me on paradise. Exactly. Well, he wasn’t baptized as far as I know of. No, he wasn’t. And so that again shows that water baptism doesn’t save. Okay. All right. Yeah, because I hear so often you have to be water baptized to be saved. And the dying cave is a wonderful illustration that there was nothing that he could do. He was dying and he trusted the Lord and he was saved without water baptism. And some try to say, well, he lived in the Old Testament and really he didn’t because if you read the passage carefully Christ died first and the two thieves died after Christ.

So they were obviously a part of this age and he was saved without water baptism. Okay, alright, yeah, that was my understanding too that Jesus had died before the two thieves and so, okay, thank you, I appreciate it. You got it, thanks a lot. Joe… Joe in Port Richie calling in today. We now have George in Del Tona and I think we have George, let’s see here. Let’s see who we have here. I’m not sure. Welcome to Bible Eye.

Hello. I don’t see anybody there, so something out of it. Maybe you have to call back. We have, let’s see here, all fair question here from Frankie and Tampa. I don’t understand that question at all, so I’m going to pass on that. Something about why is there so many 40 years in the Bibleline? I’m not too sure what that really means, so we’ll have to take a look at that later. that later. Eleanor calls in from Clearwater and she says, explain carnal Christian.

Well, if you read 1 Corinthians chapter 1 through 3, it talks about carnal Christians. It means fleshly. In other words, not being spiritual, but driven by your flesh rather than by the Spirit of God who directs us through His Word. And so If you are a caramel Christian, then you are satisfying the lust of your flesh and living after the flesh and not after the spirit nature and the new birth and the spirit of God directing your life. Hopefully that helps.

We have James calling in from Tampa. If I leave this question off here, is God limited to what he can do on the earth? The answer is of course, yes God is limited because he is obviously consistent with his word. I remember having the question asked one time, can God make a rock so heavy that he can’t lift it? And that is, of course, obviously contradictory by the way it’s stated. And of course, God limits Himself to His own word.

One thing that God can’t do, God can’t do anything because the Bible says in Titus 1, 2, God can’t lie. Another thing God can’t do, He can never lose somebody who’s become saved. He’s obligated Himself in His word. He said, I will in no wise cast out somebody who’s come to me. So if you come to Christ, you’ll never be lost. You’re saved forever. Will you like it or not? And certainly… God has limited, so God can’t lie, God can’t lose the believer, God can’t violate His word or break His word, so no God can’t just do anything.

We have some more all-fair questions here, we’ll try to get to those in a minute. And Frank, I think in Tampa the question I think has been rephrased here, why are there so many forties in the Bible? There are a lot of different numbers and that is of course a number that occurs many times. Usually it’s a number of testing or judgment. The children of Israel were tested in the wilderness for 40 years and we know that it rained in the days of 40 days and 49ths and had to do with God’s judgment upon the earth in those days.

and of course the wandering into wellness of Scott’s judgment upon the children of Israel for their unbelief and so on and so on. So we will see a number of numbers that repeat. You know, one is a number of unity. Number two is the number of division and three is the number of the Trinity and so on and so on. We have lots of different numbers. There’s our books out on numbers that show interesting connections between numbers and different events.

We have Philip calling in here from Pembert-Pine, South Florida and he recommends the old Scofield and agrees with your beliefs that matter and loves our show. Well, wonderful. Let me go to this one from Barbara, if I can, and Barbara from Seminole calls in and she says, there are people at my job who keep talking about God. Every other word is praise Jesus and thank God. These people then conduct themselves in ways that are very underhanded and manipulative. I am not a Christian and I find this hypocritical.

What does your take on people like this? Well I certainly agree with you Barbara and it’s such a poor testimony and obviously if you’re not a believer, you’re not a Christian, I would be turned off just like you and it may hinder you from ever coming to another Lord. Let me just say at the top, don’t judge God by people judging by his book. People will always let you down and the Bible warns about putting your confidence in man.

As far as these that are running around using those phrases, they themselves may not be saved because most of what is called Christianity, I believe, is works based and they’re trying to work their way to heaven, and they really don’t know the Lord. These people obviously are in a sense planted by Satan to mess everything up and to turn people off like you and me so that we won’t trust the Lord. The genuine message is, of course, one of God paying for our salvation in its entirety at the cross and offering salvation free.

And certainly we are to be consistent in our lives with what we believe. And those people who I think we ought to be careful what we, you know, in fact, sometimes the people have bumper stickers. And then the way they drive, they had one breath say that they’re a Christian and then they drive with no courtesy, no thoughtfulness, and they turn me off too. I just hate somebody that is not a good testimony as they drive their car and they’re wearing their big badge that they have a Christian symbol on their car.

I think they ought to take it off if they’re going to drive that way. So I don’t know. I agree with you, Barbara. I’m ashamed because of some people who really talk one way and live another way and they obviously are hypocritical and I agree with you. Alright thank you. And now we’re going to try to go back here to the phone lines in a second. The phone line is by the way 1-800-576-3771. David and St. Pete calls in off the air and says, are you a false teacher?

I guess he’s asking about me. Well, you can determine that, but here’s the way you determine that, David. If I’m speaking what the Bible is teaching, and you can check it out for yourself, then I’m not a false prophet. But if you’re coming to me with beliefs… The Bible is the authority not me. If you find that I am not consistent with what the Bible teaches and what I am saying, then please expose me as a false teacher. There is somebody up in Pennsylvania that gave me the skull and crossbones award for being the most dangerous teacher in America.

Because I thought you could not lose your salvation. Well, he’s the false teacher because he’s not scripturally correct. But anyway, putting in good care of a good company, he listed Charles Stanley and David Jeremiah and other Bible teachers I admire. And so I was in the same company with him, but I was called a false teacher by him. That’s not the first time that’s happened. But if you believe the Bible and you check out what the Bible says, I think you’ll find I’m trying to be as true to the Bible as I possibly can.

And if I’m violating the Bible, then point it out to me and I’ll change. But I believe I’m teaching you what the Bible says. Thank you and David. I don’t believe I’m a false teacher. But I’d like to hear what you believe that you find that doesn’t agree with what I’m teaching. I’d like to hear about that. Give me another comment here. Call in and let us hear it. We have John in Tampa, Florida calls in. John, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the earth.

Good morning. Good morning. Okay, I would like to know where to find this saying. Now is the time I believe it’s since South Asian. What do you find in that? That’s 2nd Corinthians chapter 6. 6. 2nd Corinthians in chapter 6. Oh, verse 1, huh? Oh, key, check. 2nd Corinthians in chapter 6. Verse 1. First one. Oh, Jesus. That was my question. All right, John, thank you for listening and calling in to Bibleline. And, yeah, this is, you know, you don’t want to wait to get saved.

If you have the opportunity to trust the Lord today, you need to do that. You don’t know that you’ll have another day. Now is the day when you need to trust the Lord when you’re hearing it presented with it make that choice. We are now going to go to Ken in Illinois and Ken nice to hear from you thanks for calling in today. Yes, or Dr. Hank, love your program. Haven’t missed the day since I heard you the first time.

I just want to let that fellow know that called in and asked if you were a false teacher. You know, people that ask those kind of questions, the devil better try to get people to believe that you’re a false teacher because if he don’t and he lets you keep going, you’re going to put the devil out of business. Well thank you sir. Okay, that’s the only reason I want to call. I want to let everybody hear that. I’ll let you.

Okay. Thank you Ken. Yeah, I have I get letters all the time that I’m a false teacher but generally the people don’t really let me know what they believe. But generally those who don’t agree with the Bible would actually call me a false teacher. But I’m lining myself up with the Bible. And if you don’t line up with the Bible, then you’re certainly false. We have here just a couple of minutes left. We again want to appeal to you that if you haven’t given the the Bibleline for April if you could give a gift that would be so helpful.

We are totally listener supported and we are excited about being able to bring the programs to you but we are able to do it because people like you who listen, enjoy and support Bibleline. And again, we’re going to be having a sundown service this weekend on Saturday at 6 p.m. If you’re in driving distance, we’d love to have you come over and enjoy. If you’re coming from some distance, you could maybe come to that, spend the night and then enjoy our resurrection service on Sunday morning at 10.30. Also join my adult class at 9.15 on that Sunday morning resurrection Sunday. And it’ll be a wonderful day. The children will have things to do.

And they’ll be given candies while it’s being taught from the Word of Yann. And that’s certainly very, very exciting. And we have Of course, a nursery and you can bring your children and that’ll be wonderful. We have anonymous a caller from St. Petersburg calling and says, is there preference in the Bible to be buried or cremated? And the answer is of course, burial. Throughout the Bible we, Jews in particular, but they’re not. But that was that statement that they believed in the resurrection.

When Joseph died in Egypt, he made his brothers promise that later in the future that they would tear his bones back to Israel and bury them there. They did, so his bones were kept. And when they came out of Egypt and so on, they brought him back to Israel and buried him there. I’ve been to the tomb of Joseph. We’ve got to have to run. I hope you keep looking up and watching for Christ’s return and tune us in again tomorrow if we’re still here and have a great day.
