We know that so many people are confused about the very basics of Christianity and that is how do you become saved? And there shouldn’t be confusion, but Satan is the author of confusion, and he’s certainly causing a great deal. We’re going to start a new class here. I like to teach, and I’ve taught for three different Bible colleges, and I’ve taught for Moody Bible in the student of Chicago for 11 years. And we are going to be offering a class beginning the 24th on Tuesday nights from 7 till 9 called in-time controversies all about has Christ come or is he still coming?
Is Revelation past or is it still future? We are going to be dealing with a lot of issues and that is not only the methods of interpretation, but where some of these bad teachings have come from and why we ought to know what we believe and why we believe it as Christians and as Peter said, be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks if you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear, 1 Peter 3.15.
I am Dr. Anker, I hope you will take the class and if you are in driving this, you can come and sign up and take it for five Tuesday nights from seven to nine right here at our headquarters based at the Calvary Community Church in Tampa right next to Tampa’s airport or you can call in and sign up and take it by the way of the internet. And all you have to do is call our 800 number 1-800-576-3771 and we have a special deal this week.
If you call in and sign up for the $50 charge, after the classes are over and you’ll be able to watch them on the internet, we’ll give you the code, then you will also receive the CDs of this series mailed to your home. That’s a real bargain because if you were to get the CDs by themselves, it’d be $50. And if you just take the class, $50, but if you call in this week and sign up to take the classes on the Internet, you’ll be able to get the CDs for free sent to your home after the classes are completed.
Call in today, 1-800-576-3771. Also we’re listed or supported here at Bible Island, and if you haven’t given a gift for the month of April, why not send a gift in? And certainly that would be a blessing and help us to make sure that this program continues in your area and also that we can continue to reach out further and further with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My birthday is this coming Saturday and I’m excited about that and if you send a gift into Bibleline that would be a special birthday gift for me to see that these programs go out because that’s our passion.
We don’t pay any salaries. I don’t take a salary. We are donating ourselves to this cause to get the message out and your gift would be greatly appreciated. If you have your Bible, get it out. We’ll take a look at a couple of verses and then we’re going to be the phone calls if you want to call in and get on live with us or if you want to call in and leave an offer question you are certainly welcome to do that.
You know the Bible talks about three different groups it talks about the Gentiles it talks about the church and it talks about the Jews and you have to understand God’s purpose for all three of these or nothing makes sense. It’s interesting that Daniel, the Prophet, outlines God’s program for the Gentiles and he begins with Babylon and Nebuchadnezzar and the Gentile countries that would succeed one another right down to this present time. Daniel lays out the plan from Babylon to the Mido-Persian Empire, the Grecian Empire, the Roman Empire and down to what we see happening in our world right now today and the Bible tells us that when the times of the Gentiles conclude, which we believe will be at the second coming, at the same time Israel will be revived as the head nation on the earth and Christ will rule over her as her king.
So we find that these programs all kind of come together. God’s program for the Gentiles, God’s program for the church, God’s program for the Jew, all kind of run along side of one another, but everything kind of comes together seven years after the Rapture at the Second Coming when the Church will come back and rule and reign with Christ for a literal thousand years, it’s yet future. And we find that the Jews will be fulfilling the promises made to them of an earthly kingdom where they’ll be the head nation on the earth.
And also the Gentiles will have concluded their time of being over Israel and putting a yoke upon the neck of Israel as Israel has been under Gentile to control and power ever since BC 606 and Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonian Empire. First Corinthians gives us an interesting verse where it kind of outlines these three and Again, most Bible teachers aren’t taking into consideration God’s plan for all three and how they all come together. But it says in 1 Corinthians 10, give none offense needed to the Jews, that’s group number 1, nor to the Gentiles, that’s group number 2, nor to the Church of God, that’s group number 3.
And unless you understand God’s program for the Jews, the Gentiles and the Church, you are definitely in trouble. But a lot of this bad teaching today is coming about because they don’t make a distinction. And they believe that God is all through with Israel and that the church has replaced Israel and replacement theology is really bad theology. It’s really wrong theology. It’s really unbiblical. God has never, never, never decided to get rid of Israel. has been put on hold for a little bit until the Church Age is completed and then all these programs will kind of merge together in the fulfillment of all these wonderful prophecies.
I love Jeremiah 31 for those who think that God has done with Israel. It says in verse 35 of Jeremiah 31, Thus saith the Lord which giveth the sun for a light by day and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night which divided the sea when In the waves thereof roar, the Lord of Hostess is named, if those ordinances depart from before me say of the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.
Did the sun shine this morning? Of course. God is not through with Israel. Have you been able to see the moon lately at night? Then God is not through with Israel. The Bible tells us that the Lord is going to restore Israel, bring them back into their land which they are already there now in anticipation of all these events. I believe we are getting close to the Lord’s return. Have you trusted Christ? I hope you have. There is only one way to heaven.
That is to trust Jesus as your Savior. You know, I was raised in church and Satan presents a heavenly way to go to hell. You can sometimes in your church say, well, I seem to be following the rules that they’ve laid down and maybe I’m okay and maybe I’m going to make heaven and not search anymore, not look anymore because you feel comfortable as Satan presents a heavenly way to go to hell. People are made to feel comfortable and they are diluted to think that they’re going to go to heaven because of what they’re doing when the Bible says that our works are filthy rags.
and nothing we do can obtain our salvation for us. It had to be purchased by Christ’s death. Christ died and shed his blood and purchased our salvation and offers it as a free gift, totally apart from any human work, totally in the absence of any human work. It is a gift received simply by trusting Christ and what he did for us at the cross. I did it when I was 18. I received eternal life at that moment and I still possess it will forever because it’s eternal life that God gives And He gives it to you at the moment you trust Christ.
You don’t wait till after you die to get it. I have eternal life And the Bible says in 1 John 5 13 these things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may know That you have eternal life Okay, we have Oprah in Port Charlotte, Florida. We’re gonna go down and talk to her Oprah, please feel welcome to Bibleline today. Good morning, Pastor. Good morning. I have complete confidence in your answers that you give us.
Uh-huh. And I have a question that’s kind of, you know, confusing. It’s in Genesis 1st, Chapter 27, 1st. Okay, what does it say? It’s, you know, there were people on the earth. No, it doesn’t say that. It says, God said, let us make man an hour image after hour like this. And that’s because God himself is a plurality. The Hebrew words for God are all plural. And that means three or more. So there you have God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, working together in concert in the creating of man.
And so there’s no people on the earth at all. There was no people? No, not at all. And then it’s 127. And then if you read 1 Corinthians 1545 it says the first man on the planet earth was Fred Flintstone No, it says Adam Adam was the first man that ever existed on the planet 1 Corinthians 1545 Okay now Genesis 2 And at birth this is happy yet completed all of the you know creation then on the seventh day he passed it and then And the Bible that I’m using is King James Version.
And it also says, you know, he created man or he formed man. This is after the moment. No, it’s actually chapter one is a summarization of all that he did. And then in chapter two, he focuses in on man and how that man, the crowning creation of God was created on the sixth day and how he took dust to the ground and fashioned man and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. Very clearly telling us there is no evolution that man was created separately and completely apart from all of the rest of his creation that God took special care to take dust of the ground and make a man and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.
There is no people on earth before. That is exactly right. Adam was the first man on the planet. OK, so the first birth would just summarize this presentation. Yeah, chapter one, it gives you an overall picture of also seven days of what happened each day. Chapter two focuses in on man and then tells us about the garden and about the command that they were not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. There were two trees in the center of the garden.
man’s job now with the tilde garden. All chapter two is really focusing in on man as the crowning act of God’s creative week and that man was now to be put in charge over the earth and he was to tilde garden and to care for it and he was not to eat it at one tree that was the test and of course Adam and he failed and they took of that tree and that I was going to evil and and then that’s sin passed upon the whole human race.
I understand it more clearly now. Can I just set you one other question? Sure. In Leviticus, you know, the law about what we should eat, we should not eat, and it says about, you know, nothing in the sea and it’s it. Right, there’s some certain rules and those dietary laws are good advice for us because, for example, the things that we shouldn’t eat, usually are scavenger fishes. We’re only to eat fish that have scales, but if you notice the fish that don’t have scales like sharks and catfish and so on, they all scavenge on the bottom and there’s a danger of you becoming ill if you eat some of these things.
Of course today we raise catfish in a clean environment and thetaum special so it’s safer but you’re smart to follow those rules even to this very day even though we’re not under the law and obligated to keep them. I see so if we eat we’re not standing. We’re not. No. If we eat that patient and if we eat a shrimp and you can eat all those things but I would do it in moderation. I wouldn’t that your main staple part of your diet.
Right, right, but it’s not sinful if we eat. No, first Timothy chapter 4 verses 1 through 8, tell us today anything we can eat as long as we give thanks to God and we can eat anything at all. But thank you so much pastor. You’re welcome. Glad you’re listening down there in Port Charlotte, Florida and thank you for calling in today. We have Benjamin in Clearwater Florida. Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline. And you’re on the air. The wedding of the church going to be in the middle of the tribulation or after the tribulation.
And also, we are going to be the wedding. We’re going to be in the heaven or going to be in the earth. Good questions. Okay. Well, the wedding, I believe, of the church, the bride of Christ, to Christ, will take take place during that seven years while the tribulations occurring on the earth in heaven will be married. It doesn’t clearly tell us exactly when, but I’m assuming toward the end Christ will then come back with his bride, set up his kingdom and the one thousand year earthly rule will be a celebration of the marriage of the Lamb to his bride.
And so the whole earth will be at peace and the deserts will blossom and the earth will be a fruitful bread basket and everybody will be at peace with one another and it will be a wonderful celebration. So the marriage supper of the Lamb I believe is the celebration of the wedding that takes place just before Christ returns back to the earth. Thank you for calling. have David in St. Petersburg. David, welcome to my blind ear on the air.
Good morning. I’ve got some… Oh my, okay. If Jesus was the Christ, why hasn’t he changed more? Well, because Christ was rejected. And he’s still being rejected. But when he comes at the second coming, he will come and defeat the armies of this world and actually physically take over the planet and he’ll bring peace on earth good will toward men. Men have free choice and ever since Adam sinned, obviously man’s sinful nature has caused all of the things you don’t like and I don’t like as we read the headlines every day on newspapers.
And man has been given a choice to accept and reject Christ and we find that that time of opportunity is closing where the Lord will come back and judge the earth. He’ll take over the planet, and according to Revelation 1115, what happens at the Second Coming is that the kingdoms of this world then become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever. You’ve probably heard that set the music by handle. But those are the words of victory when Christ comes back and defeats the devil, takes over the kingdoms of this world, and becomes king of kings and Lord of Lords, and will finally bring the peace on earth that the angels announced that the first coming of Christ.
And kings still believe that in order to kill evil you have to kill the person? I’m not too sure what you mean by that but definitely Christ is going to kill or slaughter. Everybody that has not trusted him is Savior when he comes in his second coming. Kill who? Jesus will. Now they tried to kill him because he believed what they didn’t believe. Well, they couldn’t believe. What do you mean they couldn’t believe? They couldn’t believe him? Because of what?
They chose not to believe in him. By his word. What do you mean by his word? I don’t understand. They judge a man by their word, their answer. Well, his answers were perfect. I mean, I would sum it up. He said, I find no fault in this man. He could find no fault in Christ. Christ was sinless and he had never committed a single act of sin. He’s the only perfect man that ever walked the face of the earth, but because he spoke the truth They didn’t find any cause of death in him, but they wanted to get rid of him because it threatened their system and The religious leaders said all the world will believe on him if we don’t kill him So they plotted his death to get rid of him politicians have to be aware of and judge not just assume that it’s a religious
jiad but that’s my opinion but thank you for answering hope you have a good day Okay, David, you left me confused, but hopefully it’ll all come out in the wash. We have a lot of all fair questions. We want to certainly take those. Here we have a question from Andrew in Bradenton, Florida, and he says, Dr. Hank Hennigraft says there is nowhere in the Bible that it says that there’s going to be a seven-year tribulation. Can you tell us where it says that there is?
His friend heard you say that there is going to be a seven-year tribulation after we’re raptured. Right, and of course Hank Tannograph is wrong as he denies the rapture and tribulation period. But most of the book of Revelation is a commentary on that seven years. Chapters four through nineteen describe in great detail what will happen during that seven years. And you’ll find in the book of Revelation in between those chapters four and nineteen. It divides that seven years into two half periods, three and a half years and three and a half years and you’ll find that it describes it as 42 months and 42 months.
Now if you look at Revelation chapter 11 you see that there, 42 months and that’s of course three and a half years. It also describes it in chapter 12 as 1260 days. That’s also three and a half years. You also find the illusion there to Daniel where it talks about a time, times and half a time and that turns out to be equivalent to 12 and 60 days or time is referring to one year times two years. That’s one plus two is three plus a half a time.
That’s a half a year, three and a half years and Daniel chapter nine verse 27 talks about a 70th week of years which is that seven year tribulation period and on and on and on we go. There’s many references to the fact there’ll be a seven-year tribulation hand-cantograph really is wrong. We have Peter in Clearwater, Florida, calling in Peter. Welcome to my blind year on the air. Hi Hank. Hey, how are you? Good. Good. My question is today. In the past of us, can you wash our students away?
When When Christ died at the Passover, He did wash away our sins. The death of Christ in His shed blood was really the Lamb of God being slain to pay for the sins of the world. When He died, He paid for the sins of every man, woman and child that would ever live from Adam to the last man who will ever live. When you trust that He did that for you, then God forgives you and you become washed of your sin, not by your good works, but by what Christ did for you at the cross, by his death and shed blood.
Yes, sir. Well, thanks for calling in Peter. You are, go. All right. Peter in Clearwater, Florida. We have Vinnie in Hudson, Florida calls in off air and says, does the Bible give us any clues what God was doing before he created the heavens and the earth? Well, we know one thing. First Peter, chapter one, tells us that he planned our redemption. It says that Christ was slain before the foundations of the earth God planned out what he would do when man fell and planned out how he himself would become the Redeemer, that he would come to the earth and pay for our sins by his death.
We have Michael in Amsterdam, New York, calling in and Michael, welcome to Byline. Good morning. Good morning. Okay. The question is from that so many people think. I believe Satan is the author of that confusion that he’s the inventor of religion religion or man-made but actually Satan inspired and Satan would love to have you believe there’s another way of Christ. That was my answer to but in so many ways how come they’re not learning that that’s not true. Well they’re ignoring the Bible you know if they would only see what the Bible has to say they would be.
would have to come to the conclusion there’s only one way. But most people I find are totally ignorant of the Bible. They don’t pay attention to it. And they sometimes just think it’s an archaic book that’s outmated and nice trinket to have on your coffee table, but that’s about it. And then I had another question, one more question. Some people say they believe in God, but they don’t believe that God wrote the book, the Bible. Of course, men penned it, but God’s Holy Spirit told them every word to write down.
Absolutely. So where is this idea? That’s a pretty popular thing. The people say they believe in God, but they don’t believe that He wrote the book. well obviously they haven’t uh… read the book or they would not would feel that way because if you read for example back in the book back sentences as an alert spake demosis and the Lord spake the most is an alert spake the most is and you find the phrase of the law about thirty five hundred times in the old testament you can get the idea that god wrote the book we have a break and thanks for that call michael and Amsterdam, New York, and we’re going to come back after the short break and do a second half hour of Bible on so they’ll go away Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment.
Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771 That’s 1-800-576-3771 Alright, I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom, and this is Bible and we’ve had fun being with you today It’s a new week. We got a new class coming up called End-Time Controversies. It’s all about the return of Christ and how to interpret the Bible. Has Christ come back or is he still coming and is the book Revelation fulfilled or is it still future? Boy, there’s a firestorm out there right now about this with books coming out like Hank can’t address book Armageddon code and these or POCULIPs code.
This is all about Jesus’ video already come or not and we’ll be having a great time. Ten hours of teaching you can sign up on the internet to take you. This call or 800 number and if you do it this week you can pay the $50 fee and you’ll not only be able to have access by code to watch these on the internet as often as you like but also you’ll be able to have the CDs sent to you all for that one charge.
Otherwise, it’d be $100, but this week we’re offering that if you sign up in advance before the classes start on the 24th, you can do that. So good to be able to talk to you and join you again this week, and I hope you’ll be listening as often as you can. We’re going to do the second half of Bibleline, so get ready.
We’re going to join the stations that have been on break. Don’t go away. Stay tuned right here. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just go and dialBaltimore That’s 1-800-576-3771 Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom Frank Lindstrom. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church. And we invite you to join us each and every day as we broadcast the right out of our studios here in Tampa.
We go directly by digital lines to Detroit. There we go up on the satellite, which is orbiting the planet Earth over the equator at 22,500 miles. And then those signals then come back down to the Earth that are picked up by the radio stations across America and also our streaming has picked up off that satellite and then you’re able to hear it. Isn’t that amazing how the technology today allows us this wonderful way of delivering the program out there all across America.
I’m Dr. Inklin Striman. We’re having fun bringing my Beline to you and I hope you’ll join us each and every day. We just returned from Israel. We had a wonderful time. If you watch our television programs coming up in the next several weeks or so, you’ll begin to see some of the scenes from Israel as we’re incorporating those in our TV programs. And we’re going to go back to Israel. Maybe you’d like to get on our prospect list because we’ll be planning a trip and we’d want to keep you informed if you’re interested in going with me.
It’ll be trip number 15 when we go back and we’d like to know your thoughts about when and so on. We are going to be getting a trip together and we would love to have you be on board. We also are teaching another class coming up here April 24th on Tuesday nights, 5 weeks, 2 hours per each week. We are going to have a great time. This one is an important class. The second coming of Jesus Christ is under attack right now.
Second Peter chapter 3, Peter warns us 2,000 years ago that in the last days that the controversy would be where is the coming of Christ. And obviously there are those who are out there and have a big presence on radio and television that are saying that Christ has already come, at least in judgment, not physically necessarily, but they believe that there is no rapture, there is no tribulation period, and the book of Revelation is already passed and there is no future predicted by Revelation.
Interesting. We’ll have a great time for ten hours talking about bad methods of interpreting the Bible and bad doctrine that’s coming not from the Bible but by imposing beliefs that have been believed prior to their coming to the Bible and trying to make the Bible say those things by spiritualizing and allegorizing and saying that things in the Bible are really metaphorical rather than taking a literal approach to the Bible. We’ll have a great time. You might want to take this class by internet, and we have a special deal this week.
If you sign up and pay the $50 to take the class that will help Bible ad, you’ll not only be able to have the code to access the programs on the internet, but you’ll also have the CDs of the 10 hours of teaching sent to you when the classes are over. That’s a $100 value, and you can have that for $50, it’ll help Bible ad. You have to do it this week though. The classes begin April 24th, a week from tomorrow, and you’ll want to get in on that special advantage we have.
If you live in an area, we hope that you’ll drive over and actually sit in the class. There’s nothing like the excitement of actually being present where we talk about these things and have the break time to get together and share, meet one another, and come back in the classroom and finish up the two hours each Tuesday night for five weeks, ten hours total of teaching. So, pray for us. We’re going to have a wonderful class called End Time Controversy, beginning on the 24th of April, running for five weeks, finishing out in May, and then we’ll have another class sometime during the summer.
We’re going to go to the phone lines if you have a pencil there. Shut down the number 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-371. We have Armando in St. Petersburg and Armando, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning Dr. Lips, how are you doing? Good, how are you? Good, thank you. I’m listening to your last comment. I think you answered my first question. We received the Lord 1970. The subject of the day was, after every church was preaching that. Like, you know, that the Lord is coming and, you know, it’s amazing, isn’t it?
You wouldn’t think that that would happen. Yeah. And Peter predicted it so well in 2 Peter chapter 3 in verse 3. I’m just amazed to watch it take place. Although I know it’s Bible prophecy fulfilled, it’s really just a shocker to your system to say, how can this thing get so reversed today? I know. Another question, Dr. I think his last name is Campi, something like that. He said that Jesus Christ died for some people, not for every church, would you use to dispute that?
Sure, that’s Calvinism and that’s the doctrine of limited atonement. Christ only died from the elect. But I would use 1 John 2, too. That’s my favorite. It says Christ is the satisfying sacrifice. The word propitiation is used. He is the propitiation for our sins and not our sins only, but it says also for the sins of the whole world. So obviously 1 John 2 2 tells us Christ died for everybody. They don’t have one. They just go blank. They go blank.
Also Hebrews 2 9 says Christ is the death for every man. You can’t get around that either. I mean there’s a bunch of verses. I mean it’s so crazy that but many people buy into and believe things that are not biblically sound and that’s why I always say chapter and verse please and that’s why Bible and I try to always quote scripture and give references so that you can know that what we’re teaching here is coming from the Bible.
Check it out for yourself. Don’t believe me. Believe the Bible. Right. Be sure you’re on. Thank you. Thank you for taking my call. Okay. That was Armando in St. Petersburg calling in and he’s right boy. I think it’s not amazing that now Now, the second coming is negatively presented. There is no rapture, there is no tribulation, there is no blessed hope. It’s all taken away from us and we have some of the radio preachers out there to thank for that.
But it’s part of the End-Time controversy that we’re going to be teaching in this class. I have starting April 24th. You can take it on the internet and you might want to call in and sign up to do that. We’re going to go to Don in Plant City. Don, welcome to Bibleline your own year. My name is Don Biederman. I’ve got a question concerning John 1-9. I’m sorry, 1 John 1-9. Okay, 1 John 1-9 says if we confess our sins, it’s talking to Christians, not people that are unsaved, as John includes himself in that editorial we, if we confess our sins, then it says he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and the cleanses from all unrighteousness.
That is not a salvation verse but is talking about the Christian walk and you’ll notice in first John there he talks about fellowship and that’s not the same as our relationship. When we trust Christ, we’re born again and become related to the Lord and that relationship as eternal and cannot be tarnished or changed or affected or impacted at all by anything, because our sins, as far as our salvation is concerned, are forgiven, forgotten, and gone forever. But John is writing here about having fellowship.
He says in verse 3, that which we have seen and heard, declare we unto you that you may also have fellowship with us. truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. And then he says in verse 7, if you walk in the light as he is in the light, then we have fellowship. But obviously as Christians we sin, verse 8 says if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
But then John says the remedy. When we sin as Christians is to confess those things to the Lord, then God wipes the slate clean. He forgives those things which we confess that we remember or are aware of or that we acknowledge to Him and then He wipes the whole slate totally clean cleanses us from all unrighteousness. So it’s a Christian walk verse it has to do with walking in the light, fellowshipping with the Lord, and that our sin as a Christian breaks that in the light.
fellowship, not our relationship, and to restore that and to get back on track with the Lord we need to confess our sins. And I think it’s a moment by moment thing. I think as we sin throughout the day, if we realize we thought an evil thought or we said you know, a word in anger that hurt somebody, that’s the time to do it right then, say, Lord, I just lost my temper and I just said something very unkind to that person and I I confess it right now and the Lord forgives you and he cleanses your whole slate clean and you continue to walk through the day as you confess your sins in fellowship with the Lord.
Well then what is the salvation? If the false sins are forgiven in salvation? Well as present and future sins are forgiven. Right. This has nothing to do with salvation. It’s like this. I was born into my dad and mom’s family. I became their first son. And that happened and was something that could not be changed. In other words, even though they passed on, I’m still her son. And I’ll always be their son when I was obedient, when I was a child living at home, or disobedient, I was still her son.
But how I acted in the home did affect my fellowship or my intimacy with my parents. If I, you know, did things that were bad or wrong, then I might have been restricted. Maybe my allowance might be taken away. And our fellowship, our walk, might have been cooled a little bit. We maybe didn’t have as open conversation like we had before. But what I needed to do was say, Dad, you know, I am really sorry that I, you know, you know, smash your car or whatever I did and apologize and make it right.
And then, but it never affected my sonship. In other words, that’s what’s going on here. In other words, our sonship, our relationship to God is permanent once you trust the Lord you’re forever his son, but our walk with the Lord is affected by the things that we do. And so if I was an obedient son at home as a child, then maybe my allowance got increased. I got extra privileges on the weekend and things went better for me. But it never did change the fact that I was my dad and mom’s son.
I was always there son no matter what I did. But isn’t the forgiveness of the sin that salvation, the past, present, and future. Well that’s done, that’s done. But still, now in that of course brings about salvation to you at the moment of believing you could forever possess it and those things will never be charged against you and you’ll never be cast into hell. Your salvation can never be impacted. Your relationship is forever. But your walk can be impacted by how you live your life and the Bible is clear that you cannot live as a disobedient child and have God bless you.
So he’s going to spank you if you’re delinquent and if you want to avoid that spanking, it says In 1 Corinthians 11 you need to judge yourself and again the whole point is you confess to the Lord saying, Lord, I was wrong. I sin today and I’m confessing that to you right now. I know that I did wrong. You make it right with the Lord and then your Christian walk and continue without God having to hammer you for what you’ve done wrong as a Christian.
If you don’t do that then ultimately he could take you home to heaven early and the Bible It tells us that many of the Corinthian believers had that happen. It says in 1 Corinthians 1130, for this caused many of you are weak, many of you are sickly, and many of you are dead. So you took a lot of the Corinthian believers home to heaven before they should have gone home because they did not examine themselves, they did not confess their sins, and they therefore were judged by the Lord as a believer.
And it says in 1 Corinthians 1132, when we Christians are judged, we are chasin or disciplined by the Lord so that we should not be condemned with the world. So the condemnation you’re talking about with sin will never happen to us because our sins are forgiven, they are gone, they are washed away, they’ll never be brought into remembrance as far as our eternal salvation. But they certainly do impact our Christian walk. He’s going to be a Christian who is going to be disobedient and be violating the laws of God.
He’s going to bring himself into trouble with God, not that he’s in danger of going to hell, but he’s in danger of having God spank him. Maybe take his life before he should go in and he’s going to lose rewards in heaven. He’ll be ashamed when he stands before the Lord. The Lord has to say, you were just a bad boy. But you were what am I and so I’m taking you home to heaven early. There are three tensors of your salvation.
If you have the skill field Bible it’s kind of helpful because it talks about the past tens of our salvation that were delivered from the penalty of sin. The present tensors were delivered from the power of sin. The Holy Spirit does give us the ability to have victory over sin. And the future tens of our salvation is delivered from the presence of sin. Once we are in heaven, we will not have a sin nature anymore and we will not be capable of sinning nor will we be in the environment of sin in heaven.
Although we are living in an environment of sin here and we still have a sin nature as a believer, we as believers still continue to sin. John is dealing with that part of our Christian life that we need to recognize that we cannot live as we please and that we need to confess our sins if we are to walk in fellowship with the Lord. Unless you are walking in the light, as he is in the light, you do not have fellowship with the Lord.
If you sin, and believers do, as John says in 1 John 1 8, if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. Verse 9, he tells us the remedy for sin in the Christian life is to confess it, and then God is faithful to cleanse it. I hope that helps. I can’t do much more than that. Just give that some thought. Thank you, Don, for calling in from plant city we have regional in temple for the calling in and reginal welcome to bible uh…
good morning document from a long time no see thank you i hope you enjoyed your trip great i got a i got a major what’s not really major it’s not really about salve fulfilling the history you know in three days well i was listening to a major televangelist and he was saying that the uh… there were no african from eepheopia that was involved in her people and that that all the the wife that was say he was actually Arab and Ethiopian, he was actually Arab, Ethiopian.
So if I want to know what’s your view on this? I think they’re rewriting history today and you can’t believe that. Just believe your Bible and you’ll be just fine. Obviously whoever’s saying this is trying to rewrite. And it’s just like Arafat. The Palestinian thing is a name that he invented to call people there in Israel today, Palestinians. They’re not Palestinians, but he pulled that off and obviously everybody today talks about Palestinians, but they’re ornaments. The Palestinians are those who lived long ago and the biblical times have died.
sense and other people who come in and live in the land but that doesn’t make it palesthenians course not most definitely because uh… you have to palestinian name one of your greatest king they can’t name one of their greatest king no they can’t no they have no history and see what i hear this it’s almost like people are trying to manipulate the fuck you’re saying that they’re trying to rewrite the bible trying to take off the rapture out of it that they’re trying to redo everything because if you if you eliminate the foundation it’s easy to manipulate people who don’t know it boy you’re absolutely right and it makes me angry i’m sorry that people do that but we’re living in a time now when they’re trying to re-write american history and rewrite world history and this gives us a whole new uh…
picture the sun through about the past i mean this doesn’t upset me but when i see all this stuff happening i know the time is this so so so near everything it makes me get it will give you prices coming and i say he’s coming soon i really believe that he can come to phone for me dot payment you too that was ten original intent before that we have lory in the new port richie calling in and larry welcome to bible laura are you there well yes i’m here i’m sorry i’m hi i i just had a quick question about the rapture um…
i’ve seen a lot on that CNN, TV and stuff where they talk about the rapture possibly happening millions of people being taken out of the world. And I just can’t understand how the world, especially people who think they’re Christians, who’ve heard this over and over, who have read it, could deny what it truly is when it does happen. Millions of people disappearing and coming up with some crazy idea of what actually took place and not turning to the Word of God and realizing, oh my gosh, this is true, this is real.
It just happened and it’s going to… You know everything that they’ve been saying is going to happen down the line you know the next seven years or whatever and not see the seat full you know the seatfulness of the anti-Christ as he rises to power at the same time or maybe not there. Well I agree with you it seems like it would be so incredibly difficult to deny of course I can’t. can’t deny the event but apparently they’ll they’ll buy into false explanations as to what happened and uh…
and i think the world has been conditioned by hollywood to maybe think aliens uh… are the ones that snatch people off the earth and not god but uh… but i was very clear you know and so i think that hollywood girls all set up on the all these uf o uh… you know movies and and uh… encounters of a you know with the e t’s and whatever is all setting it up for people to believe those kind of lies and they and i think that’s what’s going to happen really okay well thank you very much you’re welcome but uh…
for us your christians it’s hard to see that anybody would uh… mess this thing up we have forest uh… in Tampa florida calling in and he says please explain uh… the judgment seat and the great white throw movies are two separate judgments forest that occur 1 at the event of the rapture where believers are judged according to their works to determine the degree of reward in heaven. Let me give you the references. It’s 1 Corinthians 3, 11 through 15.
1 Corinthians 3, 11 through 15. We’re talking about a Christian’s works being examined and the result will be a degree of reward in heaven or you can suffer loss of reward in heaven. And then the great white throne judgment occurs after the thousand year reign of Christ, and that’s where all the unsaved dead are judged according to their works, and that’s Revelation chapter 20 verses 11 through 15, Revelation 20 verses 11 through 15, and that’s where unsaved people will be judged according to their works, and the result will be a degree of punishment in hell.
And so works play an important role for believers, degrees of reward in heaven are determined to our works for unbelievers. The degree of punishment in hell is determined by works. But destination is determined by belief or unbelief. All believers go to heaven. All unbelievers go to hell. And that’s the important difference. So those two judgments are separated by a thousand years. occurs before the thousand year reign of Christ, the other occurs after the thousand year reign of Christ. Alright we have more offer questions here and we’ll take a couple of these here.
Offer Linda in Tampa calls in and says we’re in the Bible doesn’t say that we’re to be a part of a church membership, the building where believers meet. Well, I don’t think it says you have to be a member, but it does say in Hebrews 10.25, when the do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some is, but even so much the more we ought to encourage believers to do that, to come together to meet as we see the day of Christ’s return approaching.
So there’s something very strengthening and uplifting and that builds believers up when they come together to study the Word of God, to sing God’s praises, to encourage one another, and to be sent back into the world during the week lifted up and strengthened and encouraged by coming together with other believers. So it’s something the Bible tells us where to do and that would be the verse I would use but it doesn’t say you actually have to become a member but surely you ought to unite or come together with other believers.
And of course you need to go where the Bible is taught, souls are being saved, Christians are being challenged and things are happening where the biblical mandates are being carried out. Thank you Linda, I hope that helps and we are glad you are listening to the Bible on. We have Claire in Texas calling in and she says, off air, Pastor Hank, could you please explain what it is whenever we lose on earth will be loosed and whatever we bind will be bound.
I believe that’s talking about in Matthew chapter 18, the church as believers when they come together, we have certain authorities that can be done as far as the organizational structure and the running of the church. For example, if the church makes a decision on leadership of the church, it decides that they’re going to have a certain curriculum for children, then that is God’s will for all the medical teachers to obey and that is bound. Now, if the elders or leaders of the Church have made a bad decision, I believe that they can appeal that and say, hey, look, you’re violating Scripture here by teaching a program that’s unscriptural, then maybe you could get them to change it.
But otherwise, unless there’s something inscriptural about it and that’s what the Church has chosen to do, you’re obligated to follow that teaching as long as you’re a member of that Church. I hope that helps, but it basically doesn’t leave us unlimited powers. We can never change what God has set down in His Word and never can it ever violate what God has already established to be true. We’re excited about this new class coming up in Time Controversy. You can call and sign up.
