Thanks for tuning in to the broadcast. We look forward to being with you each and every day Monday through Friday as we come to you live from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor and that’s where Bibleline is headquartered.

We’re easy to find. We’re right next to the Tampa International Airport. We would love to have you come by and visit with us sometime. Resource Center is open every day till about 4.30 Eastern time. Also, you can come by on a worship day. This Sunday would be a great day to come by. I teach an adult class at 9.15. You could sit in my class. We’re studying the Gospel of John. Also you can come and sit in the worship service at 10.30.

We also have a service at 6 PM Sunday and you’re welcome to come by. But guess what? If you live in another city, you live in a distance too far away, you can watch our worship service on the internet. That’s right. If you go to BibleLineMinistries.org or .com, BibleLineMinistries, one word .org or .com. You can click on the camera on the home page and that will connect you to the worship service. You do that about 11 o’clock and you’ll see clouds going by.

You’ll hear the old rugged cross and when the worship actually begins when I begin the message, the video and the audio will come up and you’ll be able to watch it. We have people all over the world that are doing that and they also then are put in the archive. So if you get there during the week, you’ll see a blank screen, but go over to your left and click on archive and there you’ll pull up probably four or five months worth of sermons.

You can watch as I give them and you can hear and watch which is wonderful. So try that out, give it a try. By the way we are going to start a new class here that I will be teaching and that will start on July 17th of Tuesday night. We are running this class for six weeks. That’s two hours every Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm. We will be teaching the Gospel of John, verse by verse. This will be a wonderful study.

John’s Gospel is one of the great Gospels and is so powerful and so effective a Gospel to use when you’re witnessing for your own personal assurance and understanding of the life of Christ and the events. We’re going to have a great time. That will be July 17th, beginning at 7 PM until 9. For six weeks, it’s 12 hours of teaching and for a gift of $60, which is only $5 per class hour. We are asking that to help Bibleline and you can come and sign up and be in the class.

But also if you live in another city you can actually watch the classes on your internet. That’s right you can sign up over the telephone and get a passcode and you’ll be able to not only watch them live as we teach but also you’ll be able to go back and review them as often as you like whenever you like on the Internet. So why not take advantage of the fact that we have the Internet there and the classes all six weeks all 12 hours will be available to you.

You can sign up over the telephone and get ready to go. That’ll be July 17th for six weeks on Tuesday night. I think you’ll enjoy the study. So keep that in mind. Also, we want you to know that you’re always welcome to come by on our third Sunday. We have a dinner every third Sunday and that makes a wonderful time for those that are driving a distance. You can come and join my 915 class, my adult class. You can also join the worship at 1030.

And then stay and be my guest for lunch. A wonderful dinner, best home cooked food in all the world. You’ll have a great time and you can make it more of a day. We hope you’ll do that. and that’s some of the latest information. By the way, we’re going to get into the Bible for a few minutes and then we’re going to invite you to call and get up on the air with us. The number is 1-800-8 576-3771, 1-800-576-3771.

We’re going to turn today to 1 Thessalonians, chapter 4. One of the most exciting doctrines in the Bible is that of the Rapture. And it’s interesting how apparently the devil doesn’t like this doctrine and there are many that deny The fact that there is a rapture Many of the Reformation churches don’t ever teach on it because they don’t believe it. They don’t believe in the tribulation period that will follow the rapture Nor a literal thousand-year kingdom that Christ will establish on this earth But the Bible is pretty plain and certainly we see it in the scriptures It says in verse 17, and this is the key verse in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, it says in verse 17, that we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together in the clouds, with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the

Lord. What a great statement that is. That’s talking about this event when Christ comes back, that He will come to the upper atmosphere, There will be a shout, there will be the voice of the Archangel, there will be the Trump of God, and then all of the believers from Pentecost until this event will be given the resurrection bodies, and in a twinkling of an eye, we which are left and are alive and remaining here on the earth will be caught up and transformed in our new bodies on the way up.

What is the event we call the Rapture? I certainly hope that you’re a believer because if you are, you’ll be in this event. A lot of people ask, where are those who have already died? Well the answer is they’re already with the Lord. Second Corinthians 5, 8 says, Absent from the Body, Present with the Lord. So when a believer dies, we’re immediately present with the Lord, absent from this body, but immediately present with the Lord’s second Corinthians chapter 5 or say you need to write that down someplace.

Immediately upon death you are present with the Lord as a believer. If you’re an unbeliever you’ll be immediately present in Hades in the heart of the earth which is a place of flame and torment. You’ll never get out of going to hell but everybody in Hades is awaiting the day that Satan’s cast into hell. Did you know that Satan is going to be the first one in, did you know that there is nobody in hell right now? Hell is empty.

It is waiting Satan because it was designed for him and his angels. Jesus says that in Matthew 2541, he says to the lost, depart from a ye cursed and everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. So the lost of mankind wait in Hades until after the thousand year reign of Christ. And then the Bible says in Revelation chapter 20 that Hades delivered up the dead which were in it and they were cast into the everlasting lake of fire.

This is the second death. So those that are lost go absent from the body immediately present in Hades. This is not a purgatory. They’ll not be able to earn their way out. They’re going to be cast into hell, but they have to wait because Satan gets to be first in. Isn’t that exciting? It’s interesting anyway. Satan is first, his angels are second, then all the lost of the human race will be cast in to hell after Satan and his angels are cast in.

Just before they are, they’ll be examined at a judgment called the Great White Throne Judgment where their works will be examined and this won’t allow them a chance to get into heaven. their works will be examined to determine the degree of punishment in hell did you know their degrees of punishment in hell their degrees of reward in heaven you see believers go to heaven unbelievers go to hell believers will stand at a separate judgment called the judgment seat of christ and their works will be examined to determine the degree of reward or loss of reward as you enter heaven the unbelievers a thousand years later will be brought up out of Hades judge according to their works and assigned a degree of punishment and hell.

And so works do play an important role, but they don’t determine your destination. All those that are believed on the Lord Jesus Christ will go to heaven. All those that have rejected Jesus Christ’s Savior will go to hell. But all believers will have their works examined one day to determine the degree of reward or blessing in heaven, whereas the unbelievers will be cast into hell and their works will determine the degree of punishment that they’ll receive when they’re there.

In any case, verse 14 of 1 Thessalonians 4 is a key verse. It says, If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, does that sound familiar? That’s the message of the gospel. The good news that Christ died and by His death in shed blood paid your sin debt and full was buried and rose again from the dead. If you believe that you’re not only saved, but also if you’re living when the rapture takes place, you’ll be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

But it’s interesting here. It tells us and this is what most people miss. When they studied this passage in 1 Thessalonians 4, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God what? Bring with him. Now sleeping is not referring to your soul, but to your body. The body is spoken of as sleeping till the time of the resurrection. You’re as a believer absent from the body, present with the Lord, you’re conscious and and you are fully aware of your circumstances and you are in the Lord’s presence.

When Christ returns at the event of the Rapture, He brings with Him the souls of those that have gone before. When Christ comes back, He brings all of the believers in heaven with Him from the time of Pentecost until the Rapture. Then it says that they receive their new bodies first. It says in verse 16, The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of the Archangel with the Trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Now that’s a reference to the body. The body will come up from the earth, meet the souls that have come back with Christ in verse 14 as he brings them with him, and they’ll be soul and body reunited forever, and the believers will have their new resurrection bodies. Then verse 17 talks about then we which are alive and remain until this event shall be be caught up together with them in the clouds. So we are going to meet all of the people that have died that have been believers and they are going to get their resurrection bodies in the twinkling of an eye just before we do and then all of a sudden we will be caught up, transformed into our new bodies on the way up and we will meet the Lord in the air and we will meet all the believers that have

died prior to us from Pentecost until this event of the Rapture. The last phrase of verse 17 says, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Some people complain that the word rapture doesn’t occur in the Bible. Well that doesn’t mean that there is no rapture. You know the word trinity does not occur in the Bible and yet we believe that God exists as a tri-unity. He exists as three separate eternal persons yet he’s one God. The Bible is quite clear about that.

And so just because the word rapture doesn’t occur doesn’t mean it isn’t taught, just as much as the word trinity doesn’t occur, that doesn’t mean that there is no trinity taught in the Bible either. So you have to read carefully. And I’m really quite glad because nobody knows what the word rapture means. You have to go to the dictionary and look it up and find out that it means caught up. But guess what? Verse 17 has it in plain English for you that we which are alive and remain shall be caught caught up caught up you could write in your margin if you want to the word rapture because the word rapture means caught up so will be caught up caught up caught up mark that in your Bible that’s better than putting the word rapture there rapture comes from the Latin and by the way in the

Latin translation it uses the Latin word rapturo and it really is the word rapture in English but this King When James translation translates it for you, it means caught up. Caught up, that’s what the word rapture means. So you are saved here a step. You don’t have to go to your dictionary and look up the word rapture. The Bible is very plain that we which are alive and remain shall be caught up, caught up, caught up together with them.

That is those who have died before us, who Christ will bring back with him according to verse 14, and they’ll receive their resurrection bodies just before we do. Then we which are alive and remain will be caught up, caught up, caught up to meet the Lord in the air and then will be forever with the Lord. Verse 18 tells us one of the great reasons why we have prophecy. It says, Wherefore comfort one another with these words. You know there are so many things happening in our world that would discourage us and maybe we would just want to give up or run and hide in some other more peaceful part of the earth, but the Bible tells us that prophecy is given to comfort us, to be able to know what’s going to happen in the future, to know assuredly that it will take place,

brings great comfort. You can sit back and I can sit back and we can relax and say, wow, God’s got everything in control. He knows what’s going on. And we’re just fitting into the plan. And as a believer, we’re looking forward to this event. When will be, maybe if we’re alive when it takes place, caught up and actually meet the Lord in the air, never to die physically, but be simply transformed into our new bodies on the way up.

Exciting, isn’t it? I hope you’re a believer. I hope you’ve trusted that Jesus died and shed his blood as your only means of salvation when you do. God saves you. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline. We’re getting ready to go to the phone lines. If you want to call us, the number is 1-800-5-5. 776-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We have an all fair question and this one comes in from a Toka, Tennessee, question, could you give me more on Dr. C.

I. Schofield? I would like to buy a Schofield Reference Bible. I heard some derogatory things about Pastor Schofield. Well, it’s interesting how that there are many enemies of the truth. And the Schofield Bible is under attack by those who don’t have good doctrine. They don’t want you to buy a Schofield. And you can usually tell the type of doctrine a person has by the Bible they carry. The Schofield Bible has been out for a hundred years or more. And Dr.

Schofield didn’t write everything in there. He had a committee of people. Boy, there was a wonderful group and if you have the old Schilfield Bible, it will list the contributors. One of those is a man named William Pettingale. He is one of my favorites and I’ll tell you that’s one of the best authors that I have ever read and we hope that you will call in and order a Schilfield Bible. The notes are geared to doctrine. If you have, for example, I have about everything there is, Thompson Chain.

Unfortunately, the Thompson Chain, the chain is broken. It’s not correct. It’ll mislead you and take you all over the place. Also, the Thompson Chain is great for Bible trivia. Weights and measures and maps and the journeys of Paul and other exciting things about distances and so on. Great for Bible trivia. But if you want something that’s solid on doctrine, then you want to get the Scofield Bible. And yes, I understand that Dr. C.I.S. Scofield was a drunkard before he became saved.

And that really I think has no bearing on how God used him to bring about this wonderful Bible, the Scofield Reference Bible. I recommend it highly. It’s one of the greatest tools you can ever have. We have a caller from Fort Myers and we want to welcome Joe from Fort Myers to Bible and thank you for tuning in. Thank you. My husband and I have always pondered this question. I know we’re always taught Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that’s Holy Trinity.

Jesus taught I and the Father are one, but we just don’t understand that one is going to sit at the right hand of the Father. It’s okay, Jesus. separate from the Father, it’s three deans, is that not right? Yes, and you have to be able to separate that Jesus Christ is God, but also He is a man. And so we have there the man Jesus, and God will always be appearing to us in the form of a human in the person of Christ, the second eternal member of the Godhead.

And so you’ve heard that expression, we use it often. He’s my right hand man. Jesus is the man who is sitting at the right hand of the Father and has been delegated authority to be the one that would raise the dead, that would judge the dead at the judgments that are coming up. You know, the judgment seat of Christ for believers is where Christ will preside and He will be the judge. And numerous passages talk about Jesus being the righteous who will judge your works in mind and determine what degree of reward we’ll have in heaven for our works.

But he’s also the judge who will judge at the Great White Throne Judge when the lost or cast of the hell Christ will be there also. But he is a man and yet he’s at the same time God. And when we talk about the death at the cross, obviously God didn’t die, but the man Jesus died. And that is something you have to recognize in the Bible. Focuses in on that. I like when you read the passages about the crucifixion, for example, in the book of Hebrews, when it talks about what happened at the cross, it talks about God needed a body to be able to become a man so that he might redeem man.

And it says in verse 10 of chapter 10 of Hebrews, by the Witchwill, we are saying to you, that to the offering of the body. The body of Jesus Christ once for all. Then it says verse 12, this man speaking of Christ, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God. Then in prayer we talked about this I think the other day in Timothy when it talks about there’s only one mediator and it’s not Mary that Jesus himself is the mediator.

It says in first Timothy chapter two and this is in verse five and I’m turning it. I can make sure I quote it correctly. But in 1 Timothy chapter 2 and verse 5 it says there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Notice how you’ll, once you see this you’ll begin to see it pop out of the pages that you have. Here’s the God man and it’s the man Jesus that is our mediator but yet at the same time he’s God.

So I hope that helps clear it put up a little bit maybe for you but I know it’s not an easy doctrine. Right. At the same time in heaven some day we will be sitting at the right hand of the Father. Well, the only one I think we’re going to see is Jesus because God is the Spirit and you can’t see a Spirit and so you’ll actually see Jesus when you get to heaven. And I think the expression in the right hand refers to a position of power where He tells us in the end of Matthew that all power has been granted unto me.

And he as a man has been exalted as a man and Philippians talks about that as well where the name Jesus has been exalted above every name. That one day everyone in heaven, everyone on the earth, everyone in hell will bow their knee and confess that Jesus Christ is God. So they’ll bow before Jesus and they will confess that he is the only Savior. Hope that helps a little bit. I know it’s something you have to just kind of work your way through, but the Jehovah But you know Jesus was a man and as a man he got hungry He ate he got tired he slept he had human emotion He wept at the death of Lazarus and so on but as God he could what Shanahan forgives sin Even his enemies said, only God can forgive sin.

What is this man claiming here? Because he said, your sins be forgiven you. And his critics were saying, hey, only God can forgive sin. Well, they didn’t recognize his deity. And of course, he could create things. He turned the fishes and the loaves into a meal for thousands of people. He could calm the storms and command them. As God he could do all those things but same name was a man. Hope that helps Joe Thank you very and thank you for calling in and Our phone lines are still a little bit shaky We hope to get our equipment back in and they’ve been over nighting it back to us and we’ll probably get it later today And be set to go for Monday.

We now have Robert on the line and Robert is calling in from I don’t know where yet, but anyway, Robert welcome to Bibleline. I knew you were on there Robert, are you there? I’m not getting Robert on that line, so let me see where Robert is. Nicotine All the phones went dead, all of a sudden. All of you that have been calling in, just be patient and keep trying. We’ll try to get you back up in a minute. Something’s going on with our phones.

As I said, we’re waiting for a piece of equipment to come back, repair it up in Cleveland and they are overlining it back to us. We probably won’t get it until the show is over today. We have Steve in Seminole, Florida, and he calls in and says in Psalm 11999, it talks about testimony. Does this match up with what you say as someone’s testimony? Well, the testimony is God’s word, yes. And in the Word of God, there are about eight or ten terms, I think in that one Psalm 119, it talks about the law or the testimony.

And all these things are terms that refer to the Word of God. It’s in the Word of God that he shares this wonderful message of the gospel. And so someone’s testimony is really the truth concerning Christ given in God’s Word that we embrace and become our testimony. So when I give testimony, I’m really testifying as to what God has said about Jesus is true that I’ve embraced him as my Savior and if someone else would embrace him as their Savior as well, they would be saved.

What all happens all too often in many prayer meetings, people are not really giving testimony. They’re giving some kind of praise report or maybe they’re even giving a bragamony instead of a testimony as they kind of pump themselves up. But a testimony really is about Jesus. You’re giving testimony as a witness as to what Christ has done for you. And of course, we receive God’s testimony as being absolutely genuine and true. And then that becomes our testimony when we testify to others, hey, this is what God has said.

And this is what Jesus did. And when you trust Him, you become safe forever. Wow, we’re waiting for our phones to come back up, but we’re going to have to go to break anyway. And hopefully we’ll find you there listening to the second half hour of Bibleline. and if your station doesn’t carry you go to the internet catch the full program we are streaming right now the Bibleline Ministries dot org here dot com if you haven’t helped by the line for the month of july would you consider calling in giving a gift by credit card uh…

the summer months are lean and you can sure help us over the summer by uh… giving to bible and keeping us on the air will be back in just a minute so don’t go away all the right back after this break Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. All right, I’m Dr. England Striman. This is Bibleline, and hopefully you’ve enjoyed the programs this week. We come to you every day, Monday through Friday.

And we look forward to having you there listening, and we look forward to bringing the programs to you. And I hope you and I are enjoying them and telling your friends about the programs. and that they might also tell their friends. By the way, if you have people in other countries that are family or friends, missionaries, perhaps, would you tell them about the Bibleline Program? And they can listen. I know we have missionaries in many foreign countries that listen in to Bibleline on the internet.

Isn’t that wonderful? And we’re excited about that. We know they listen in from Japan, from Korea, from South American countries and from Europe. It’s exciting and we praise the Lord that God is using Bibleline to be a voice from home from America where the Bible is taught and questions are answered and it can be a blessing to those that are away from our country. If you have a military friend or family, children in the Middle East or Afghanistan or any place else in the world, on the Internet they can catch Bible lines so I hope you’ll tell them and that would be great.

We also want you to know that we will be teaching a class beginning July 17th. It will be the Gospel of John. We’ll go for six weeks, two hours for every Tuesday night, seven till nine, and that will be 12 hours of teaching. It will be available on the Internet. You’ll be able to call in and sign up prior to July 17th and give us a gift of $60. That’s $5 a class, not a whole lot, but it will help Bibleline.

And then you can be able to watch the classes, not only live as we give them, but you can also watch them throughout the week at your pleasure. So it’s really a win-win on that. And people around the world can take the Bibleline classes that I’ll be teaching. We’ll do the Gospel of John, verse by verse, and I hope you’ll maybe sign up. We have a third Sunday dinner if you ever get into town or live close enough to drive over.

Visit us on the third Sunday and you can stay for the lunch dinner after church and get the fellowship with us. We are, this is Friday. I hope you’ll attend church someplace this weekend, but if you’re close enough, we’d love to have you come by and visit us and say hi. We have many that do that and it’s always a great time when we get to meet some of our listeners. We’re going to do the second half of Bibleline right now and so we’re going to return to the stations that have been on break and do the second half.

So keep your radio tuned right where it is and we’ll join the other stations and do a second half hour. You’re welcome to call in at 1-800. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. Pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back for that break and this is Bibleline and we’re excited about being with you today. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios right here at the Calvary community care or 10.

We always invite folks to come by and visit our resource center during the week, open until about 4.30 every day, Eastern time. Also you can come by on a worship day and of course you’re welcome to come this Sunday. I teach a 9.15 adult class. You can join me for that. You can also then join us for the worship at 10.30. And if you’re living in another city, then you say I can’t drive that far. Get on the internet and go to BibleLineMinistries.org.com.

Click on the camera. On the home page and you’ll be able to catch our worship services. In the middle there’s a blank screen. On Sunday about eleven o’clock you’ll see clouds flowing by. You’ll hear the old rugged cross and just as I begin speaking the message the video and the audio will come up and you’ll be able to watch it. During the week that middle screen will remain black but if you go over to the left side and click on Archives.

There’s about four or five months of sermon sitting there that you can pull up and watch and enjoy during the week. So I hope you’ll do that and take advantage. Plus, there’s so much more. Our radio programs are there if you click on the spending globe. Our television programs are there if you click on the TV set and all of that is so easy to use. We have so many things on there that are more than we can explain in a few minutes.

But check out our website BibleLineMinistries.org or go to our online bookstore. We have some wonderful items there that will help you resources and will help you grow and learn. And that also… skill-filled Bible I recommend them so highly. We have a book here called New Age Bible Versions that really exposes what’s wrong with many of the new translations and I haven’t mentioned it on the air but we’ve had people say I’ll go get that at my Christian bookstore and I tell you you won’t be able to find it.

You will not find it in any Christian bookstore within a radius of 150 miles of earth because if they sell it it will destroy their business They want to sell all those different kinds of Bibles. So they’re not going to tell you what’s wrong with them. So you won’t be able to buy it. We have it here at Bibleline and it’s called New Age Bible Versions. But you won’t find it in a store that sells Bibles because you will just destroy their business.

They will not be able to sell all those different kind of Bibles. So you’ll want to get that because it tells you what is wrong with some of these newer translations. You know, in order for a publisher to have their own copyright on a translation, they have to change at least 10 percent. 10 percent. And obviously, that’s a lot of changes in your Bible. That’s why some of these new translations have as many as over 5,000 deletions. Amazing gods that you’re not to add to, nor diminish from, or you’re not to take away, subtract or add to.

yet publishers are doing it every day and that is sad. Isn’t that amazing? So you might want to get some of these things we have on our Resource Center here and by the way the summer months are the lean months. If you could help my line in the summer here would be great. You can call in and leave it by credit card over the phone and you can also call in and have an envelope sent to you with our dress on so you can mail a gift in.

But in any case, I hope you’ll help my line out. You can also go to our online bookstore, and there’s a place to give there to Bibleline. Please check that out and do that. We have a number of collars here. We’re going to go to Colleen, Texas. There we have Derek on the line in Colleen, Texas. Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the end. Good morning, Derek. This is Derek. Are you? All right. Great. I just had a question in regard to our first Corinthians chapter 16 and it makes a statement, If any man loved not the Lord Jesus Christ, they shall be on that the month.

Marynatha, what does that mean? Well, it means a pronounced curse or condemnation. You know if a person dies without Christ, they’re gonna be cursed and cast into hell for all eternity and then the last phrase of the world is coming he’s coming back and Time is running out and people need to Recognize their need of Christ and trust him before they they die or they’re in deep trouble Right. Oh, okay. So that’s it. Yeah, that is it. You are cursed if you die without Christ.

And you know in Galatians 3 it says Christ was made a curse for us so that he might deliver us from the curse. You know, the whole human race is under a curse that occurred when Adam and Eve sin is passed upon the earth and upon the human race. And when you trust Christ who took that curse upon himself at the cross of the earth. was cursed and died for you and me, then we’re delivered from that curse. We have now Robert in Pompano Beach and Robert, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Year.

Hi Dr. Len from How Are You? Good. Good. God bless you. I know you’re having a lot of trouble with your phones, but I’ll say a prayer for that. Thank you. I’ll probably send you a donation for that equipment. It sounds like you really need some equipment here. I’m telling you, and we probably ought to have some backup because when this happens, Here we take the week, you send it off to the manufacturer up in Cleveland and then they have to repair it and then they have to overnight it back to us and you lose the week when that happens.

Yeah, but it sounds like quite an dilemma there. I just have a quick comment. I don’t want to take up too much of your time because you discussed the concept of God for your first caller. The way I look at it is I see God as another race. In other words, we are human and that’s kind of like a plural term because there’s human Robert, human Hank, human Elizabeth, human whoever. And then there’s the God race which is Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and God the Father.

So I look at that word kind of like it a concept of plurality. And I don’t know if you agree with me or not about that, but… Well, you know, it’s true that we are members of the human race when we come into this were born physically, but were not members of God’s family or God’s race until we were born again. When you become born again, you become a child of God. God becomes your father for the first time.

Boy, that was brand new for me. I was raised in church where we were led to believe everybody was a child of God, but were God’s creation but not as children until we trust Christ. When we trust Christ, then we become born again and become God’s family. You’re absolutely right with that. In order for us to be redeemed, God left heaven and came to the earth and became a man in the person of Christ so that he could give his life as a human and pay for our sins and the sins of the whole world.

And as a sinless man he could pay for the sins of another. But as God and being man at the same time he could make an infinite payment, it would pay for the sins of the whole human race. And then I was just talking about the concept. You know how some people seem to have trouble with God being a plurality. And I kind of look at it as human, which sounds singular but yet the human race. And I look at God.

It sounds singular but yet. And it is one, and it’s a very hard concept, you’re right. But I just try to kind of correlate it to that. When you talk about the human race, and you talk about the God race, where there’s more than one of us in the human race, and there’s more than one in the God race. So it’s really just the concept. I know we’re not children of God until we’re born again, but basically that’s the way I kind of look at it.

Well thank you for that hint. There is a kind of a, you know, take, take this all CET. Robert, thank you for listening to that there in089, Pompano Beach, Florida. Robert in Pompano Beach, thank you for going in. We have Louie in Newport, Richie, and Louie, welcome to Bibleline, and you’re on the air. Okay. One question by the Stronton in the Bible. you find it in Matthew chapter eight and there it goes. Eight of Matthew. Chapter eight, okay. And there you have Peter, his mother-in-law, got sick.

Hold on a second, you’re coming in, all mopfolved up. I’m sorry about that. Okay, are we better? We’re having fun problems, so it could be. So I hope you can get up. Anyway, it’s Matthew chapter eight. We have no Matthew. Hold on. 814. Matthew 14. Verse 14. Verse 13. Verse 13. 14. And when Jesus was coming to Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s wife’s mother laid and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand and the fever left her and she arose and ministered unto them.

Then we find here, it says when evening was coming. were brought into him, those that were possessed with devils. or demons, and he cast out the spirits with his word and healed all that were sick. Then it might be fulfilled, and it might be fulfilled, and it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying himself took our infirmities and bear our for iniquities. cancer. And I was in the hospital sitting on the chair and I was totally wiped out because I was living in the hospital with Harvard and I was really, really, really quiet.

I got the chair on backwards. I got my head on the back rest of the chair. And all of a sudden a clear voice comes out of nowhere. And I’m asleep now. And it says, by that stripes you are healed. I jumped up, the chair went flying. Well, I think that’s wonderful. And certainly God can heal. And nobody doesn’t, it’s not always God’s will for a person to be healed. So we can’t count on the fact that it will happen for everybody, but praise the Lord that your wife was healed.

But you know, we learn in the case of Paul, for example, who has made sick on purpose to keep him humble in 2 Corinthians 12. He prayed three times for healing and God told him no, three times Paul is not going to heal you. He was given that illness to keep him humble so that he He would be stronger spiritually, and that’s what God told him. Paul, when you’re weak, then you’re going to be strong, because you’re more dependent upon me and, therefore, more of my power will be manifested in your life.

So I really hope that helps, and thank you again for calling in from Newport Ritchie, and we’re so glad that some of you are able to get through today. We have anonymous somewhere, roaming around in Florida. We don’t have a city here on this one, but anonymous, called in, he said, off here, you mentioned all the bodies and souls from Pentecost to the Rapture are reunited. What about the Old Testament bodies and souls? Well, that’ll happen seven years later at the Second Coming.

At the Rapture, we have the conclusion of the Church Age that began at Pentecost and ends at the Rapture. But then at the end of the tribulation period, which those seven years that follow the rapture are really the last seven years of the Old Testament. And so they still have to tick off the clock. And when those last seven years of the Old Testament conclude, then Christ will raise from the dead all of those that have died from the Old Testament and the tribulation period.

So they will be given their resurrection bodies. Now when I say raising them up, you talk about the body. Their souls are with the Lord also. Prior to the cross, they had to wait in paradise in the heart of the earth. They were in a place of comfort called Abraham’s bosom. But when Christ died, he went down into the heart of the earth where these Old Testament believers were. That’s where he told the dying thief that he would meet him.

He said, today thou shall be with me in paradise. on the third day Christ rose up and emptied paradise and now paradise is in heaven as well. But the Old Testament saints will have to wait seven more years after you and I get our resurrection bodies and they’ll be resurrected seven years later at the second coming. And so I’m going to have my resurrection body seven years before Daniel gets his before Isaiah gets his before Moses gets his and all the Old Testament saints have to wait seven more years after all of us of the church age.

Anonymous, I hope that helps. That was a good question and thank you for calling in. We have Derek in Inglewood, Florida calling in, He asks this question, I believe that Jesus is the eternal God, Isaiah 9, 6, Revelation 1, 8. A Jehovah’s Witness told me that Jesus can’t be eternal because the Bible says He was created. Colossians 1, 15, and Revelation 3, 14. Can you explain this? And yes, of can. Let’s take a look at Colossians first of all.

In Colossians 1, 15, it talks here about Jesus and it uses here, and it says, Here is a term that is kind of interesting. I am almost there. Let’s see here. Chapter 1 verse 15 says, Christ who is the image of the invisible God and the firstborn of every creature or of every creation. Now the firstborn is a title of headship and you don’t have to be He was born in order to be the one who has the title of First Born.

For example, Jacob and Esau. Who was born first? Well Esau was. But who gained the title of the First Born? It was Jacob. Jacob bought the birthright. And so Jacob became the heir of that title, the First Born, even though he was not the First Born. There are numerous examples in the Bible of that. And so Jesus being called the First Born. doesn’t mean that he was created, but it means that he is the head or has that headship of every creature who has ever existed.

All life comes forth from God, who is Christ, and Christ is the Creator himself, and Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. All life exists because of Christ. If Christ were to not not want any life to exist anymore, he could simply cease to allow it to exist and the whole universe would fold up and collapse and that would be the end of it all. In fact, if you read a little bit further here in Colossians, it tells us here in verse 17 that Christ is before all things and by Him all things consist.

Now verse 17 I think is clear that he is eternal because he is what? Before all things Christ existed before anything was created. That’s a powerful verse. And so he is before all things and it says here and by him all things consist. That word consist means held together. I took my career path with electrical engineering and I remember taking a class at the University of Florida in nuclear physics. One of the concepts that was taught there is what they said was nuclear glue.

They said that in the heart of an atom, now we know there’s about 34 plus particles in the atom. The atom is not so simple as we once thought it was. But in the center you have neutrons, but you also have protons. And around the outside of the atom you have these electrons that are spinning around. But in the heart you have protons and they’re all alike. And we don’t like repel. And so they can’t explain what holds these protons together when like particles repel each other.

And they repel at a tremendous amount of force. We were taught that if you took one coulomb of electrons, and that’s the negative equivalent of the proton, if you took one coulomb, which one coulomb per second is an amp if you have electricity running into your house, and if you took just one coulomb of electrons, which you couldn’t feel, you couldn’t weigh, you think you could feel a gram if it were on your hand. I doubt it, really, because there are 454 grams in a pound and if you were to put one little gram on your palm of your hand, I don’t think you’d probably feel it.

But do you think you could feel a thousandth of a gram? Absolutely you wouldn’t feel that. What about a millionth of a gram? Well you couldn’t feel that. What about a thousandth of a millionth of a gram? Well I know you couldn’t feel that. Well guess what? A Coulomb of electricity weighs less than a thousandth of a millionth of a gram and yet if you took a coulomb of electricity or electrons and separated it from another coulomb of electrons just one yard or one meter apart.

Do you know the opposing force between those two points separated by three feet would be 100 million tons? I nearly fell off my classroom chair there at the University of Florida when I heard that and I thought, wow, that is the force that’s unleashed when they detonate a nuclear bomb, when the atoms are split, this tremendous force is unleashed. And notice how destructive they can be. Well, the Bible is saying here that there isn’t such a nuclear glue. an invented term that scientists use because they really can’t explain how the protons stay together.

But guess what? Christ is the nuclear glue. The Bible says everything in the universe is held together by His power. Jesus is God. If He ever let His hand off of the universe, it would implode, it would just explode and disappear. There would be no universe. He holds every atom together and everything in the universe is held together by His power. So I hope that helps. Revelation 3, 14, another one that the Joel’s Witnesses bring up and it’s in Revelation chapter 3 and it says verse 14.

The first verse of the verse is the beginning of the creation of God. It is wrongly translated. It should read the beginning of the creation of God. Jesus Christ was present at the creation. He created the earth. In Genesis 1 and 1 it says, In the beginning God, the word for God There is Elohim and Elohim is a plural form of the word God and plural with Hebrew by the way means three or more So there you have God the father God the eternal son God the eternal spirit all three working in concert to bring about the creached of the universe in Genesis 1 1 in the dateless timeless past So that’s when the universe was begun and guess who was the beginner of it?

Jesus was the Creator. He created the universe. If you read John 1-1 in the gospel of John, in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God. And then it says in verse 3, all things were made by Him. And there’s not anything that was made that was not made by Him. Jesus Christ is the Creator. The Bible teaches it throughout. He is God. He was present. And so So he is the beginner of creation.

He was there, present in Genesis 1-1, existing already as God, according to John 1-1, and in Genesis 1-1, he was there as the Creator and created the universe. I hope that helps Derek as you witness, as Joe’s witnesses. They are blind, they are lost, and they are going to wind up in a place they don’t even believe in. because they reject Jesus as the Bible teaches He has God who took on human flesh and therefore according to the Bible you cannot be saved unless you recognize that.

We have Linda in Largo Florida and she calls in and leaves this off their question. During the tribulation period the remnant that is saved are they Jews only or are they Jews and Gentiles and the answer is they I think we answered this yesterday. But if you look up Revelation 7, verse 9, it says, I saw a great multitude which no man could number of all nations and kindreds and tongues which stood before the throne. So these are the ones that get saved in the tribulation period and notice of all nations and all kindreds and all tongues will stand there, save as the result of the evangelism of the 144,000 Jewish men that will be evangelizing your nighttime described in the previous verses there in chapter 7 of Revelation.
