We also want you to know that you’re always welcome to drop by also on a worship day and we have our Wednesday night service tomorrow night and we have a youth program for the the youth as well. And then on Sunday we have this Sunday, the first Sunday of the month we always do the Lord’s Supper.

So if your church is not offering the Lord’s Supper we do it on the first Sunday of the month and you can join us at 9.45 before our 10.30 service. And I think you’ll find it very, very, very biblical. We try to go right behind the Bible and make it a very precious process. It doesn’t save us. There’s no saving value in that the service itself is a memorial service. It’s a reminder of what Christ did at the cross, and Jesus said, do this as often as you do it in remembrance of me.

So we know it’s a memorial service. And that’s this Sunday. And of course, this Sunday also there will be a spaghetti dinner. That’s an unusual extra dinner, but we invite you to come by for that. That’ll be just for donation. Dinner dinner will be prepared, and right after the worship service you’re invited to come and be a part of that. Also on the third Sunday, that’s really our regular dinner Sunday. And you can come by and join my adult class at 915, join the worship at 1030, be my guest, and stay for dinner or lunch right after the morning service.

That’s the third Sunday. But in particular, this month we’re going to have a baptism. If you have not been water baptized, since you have been saved, you’re invited to come and join us as we would be delighted to baptize you at this baptism. So keep that in mind that will be the third Sunday, the 19th of August we will be baptizing. We hope that you will let us know if you’d like to be and you can come from a distance, make it a day and join us for the worship and the lunch and then, uh, motorcade with us about a couple miles north of our church to a nice lake scene.

The church member has a beautiful yard and the grass goes right down to the water’s edge and we go right on in and it’s it’ll be wonderful. We hope that you’ll be a part of that. That’s going to be the 19th of August. We’re going to get into the Bible for a few minutes and then we’re going to go to the phone lines. you can dial up today at 1-800-576-3771. We sure like to hear from you and you’re welcome to call in 1-800-576-3771 and welcome to all of our listeners wherever you might be hearing this program.

We want to get into the Bible here and I want to talk a little bit about the word believe. The word believe is used over a hundred times in the Gospel of John. The book of Acts numerous times the word believe occurs. But the English word is really not the best word that gives us the meaning of the Greek word. You have to realize the New Testament is written in the Greek language and we’re using a translation from the Greek into the English.

And the English word believe can mean mental ascent. And we know the biblical word means trust. That’s the best English word that defines it. In John 3 16, for example, who’s so ever believeth in him? It actually means trust in him. You have to trust that Jesus died and shed his blood, was buried in Rosalie Ginford and dead to be saved. You have to trust what he did for him. And of course this problem is dealt with differently by different groups, but a lot of people talk about the difference between trust and mental assent.

You see, because the English word believe can mean mental assent, and we’re not saved by assenting to the historical facts of the life of Jesus Christ. Now when I got saved, I had no problem with the, I did believe in the facts concerning Christ’s life. I believe that he was born of a virgin. I believe that he died on the cross. I believe he died on the cross to pay for sins. I believed that he was buried. I believe he rose again from the dead and I believe he went back up to heaven.

I believed all of those things, but I wasn’t saved. I had never understood that I had to TRUST trust. I had to trust that Jesus Christ died for me. So the real difference between mental ascent and trust, I think, can be expressed this way. This is the way I have it on the tracks that we use. We say on the back of the track, Christ died. That’s history. died for me, that salvation. In other words, the fact that he died and rose from the dead, that’s all history.

But to be saved, you must believe Christ died for you. In other words, you personally accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. I had never understood that. My church implied that I had to do works to go to heaven and ultimately my destination to heaven or hell would be determined upon how I performed in this life. And I think a lot of people I really think that but I hadn’t ever understood that if I had trusted Christ then I would be saved.

Some churches talk about the difference between a head belief and a heart belief and they say well I believe in my head, but I don’t believe I don’t know if I believe in my heart. Well, that’s really makes it more confusing because we don’t believe with our heart anyway our heart is a pumping organ and And back in 1611, when the King James translation was made, they thought, I guess, at that time that we did our thinking with our heart because it reacted to different things that were going on.

And when we made decisions, and so they assumed that, but now, of course, we know we know we do our thinking with our brain or our mind. And the Greek word, though, of course, means the center of your thought processes, so it It really wasn’t translated that well either. So basically, when you trust that Christ died, you resolve all the confusion that’s there. But you know, a lot of people, because the word believe is used, and that’s the question that we often ask a person when we are witnessing, we don’t really make progress sometimes.

You see, because if you ask a Jehovah’s Witness, do you believe in Jesus Christ? They will, without blinking an eye, say yes, because they will say that they acknowledge the historical facts about Christ. Of course they deny His deity, but they believe He existed. They believe He died on the cross. They don’t deny that. But definitely they will say they believe. But if you ask a Jehovah’s Witness, do you trust Christ as the one who died of Savior sins and that he’s the only means by which you can enter heaven, he’ll say no.

So that’s the difference. You have to trust Christ. And again, we’re talking about how the Greek word… In the Bible translated believe really does mean to trust and so that’s what we need to know if you have a good concordance and we have them here in our Resource Center we have the strongest concordance which we recommend there three basic concordances out there there’s the youngest concordance and there’s the crudence concordance and there’s the strongest concordance somebody once said the young concordance is for young Christians the crudence concordance is for Christians.

concordance is for crude Christians and the strong concordance is for strong Christians. They’re all good. But I recommend the strongs and that’s the one we have and it gives every word in the Bible every the every now and every but every shelf and it will give you by number code system the original Hebrew or Greek word depending on whether it’s from the Old Testament or new and you can look up by the numbers what the word meant the Hebrew or Greek word what it meant and how it’s translated throughout the Bible.

Really a valuable tool. And when you look up, believe the Greek word is pastuo. That’s P-I-S-T-E-U-O, pastuo-P-I-S-T-E-U-O. And that word, if you look it up, means to trust, to rely upon, to put your confidence in, to rest your weight upon. And when you do that, then you’re saved. So to be saved, You have to trust Christ as the only means of your salvation. You have to rest your weight upon him to put your confidence in him and so on.

And that’s really what the biblical word means. So it’s more than mental ascent. You have to trust that he died for you. Again, I say Christ died. That’s history. Christ died for you or me. That’s salvation. Now a Roman Catholic. Every Roman Catholic, if you ask him, do you believe in Jesus Christ? They’ll say, yes, without blinking their eye. And you walk away and say, wow, they’re saved. No. Because if you ask a Roman Catholic, are you trusting Jesus Christ as your only hope of getting to heaven that he died on the cross and paid for all of your sins past, present, and future was buried, rose again from the dead?

And by trusting him, you will go immediately to heaven upon death. They’ll say, no. That’s right. This is really important to understand, especially if you’re trying to witness to people, you need to make sure that you ask the right question. Because if you ask someone, do you believe in Christ, they’ll usually say yes. Even a non-believer will acknowledge or assent to the historical facts of Christ, so they’ll say yes in the same sense that they would say, yeah, I believe in George Washington.

I believe in Abraham Lincoln. They know the facts about those men. They believe that they existed and they don’t doubt the facts concerning their lives. But there’s a difference between trusting George Washington to do something for you. He’s dead. He can’t do anything for you. And just ascending to the historical facts about George, you have to trust Christ to save. You can acknowledge historical life as I did as an unbeliever before I ever got saved, but then when I trusted Christ, that’s when I got saved.

And that is the difference. So when you’re witnessing, if you’re a believer listening today, make sure that you ask the question, have you trusted Christ or do you trust Christ as your Savior? Do you trust Him as the only means by which you can enter heaven? And unless they say yes to that question, it’s doubtful that they’re saying. But most people, probably 99% people, whether they have been saved or not, will say yes, they believe that Christ existed. You see, when you ask, do you believe in Jesus Christ, almost everybody’s going to say yes.

So it’s not a good question. You have to ask based on the biblical word pestuo, P-I-S-T-E-U-O, do you trust Christ? And if you do that, you’re asking the right question and you’re going to find out whether that person is saved or not. So the next time you witness to somebody or you’re checking out a family member or you’re making sure, you know, I tell you, I have done several funerals here in the past week and I have another one coming up.

I did one yesterday. This is really important to make sure that your loved ones and friends are saved. You don’t want to slip into eternity and say, wow, I wonder if they trusted Christ. You know, now’s the time to ask the question. Have you trusted Christ? That’s the big word. Again, the Greek word, pestuopistu-e-u-o means to trust, to rely upon, to put your confidence the end to rest your weight upon. And when you do that, you’re saved. It’s just like my little illustration that I use sometimes that if you’re on a dock and you have a little small boat there beside the dock, are you trusting the boat?

Well, what if you put one foot on the boat? The answer is no. Well, what if you put two feet on the boat, but you still have both hands on the dock? Well, you’re still not trusting the boat. Well, what if you have two feet on the boat and you only have one hand firmly gripping the dock? Well, you’re still not trusting the boat, are you? To trust the boat means you cut all ties with the dock and totally let the boat hold your way to the boat.

Hold your weight. You trust the boat. You rely upon the boat. You put your confidence in the boat You rest your full weight on the boat and tell you put your full weight on the boat and can all ties to the dock or to land You’re not really trusting the boat. There’s a lot of folks that are still trusting in The dock in a sense in that they’re trusting in water baptism or their church membership or living a Christian life to get them to heaven So they really haven’t ever trusted Christ.

To trust Christ by definition means you really just forget trusting everything else because it’s Jesus alone that is the way. And when you trust Him, God saves you. I certainly hope everybody listening today has trusted Christ. I can never forget I used to listen to Oliver Green many years ago while he was alive on the radio and he would say, God save that sinner as close as to going to hell today. Maybe there’s somebody listening today that won’t be on the planet tomorrow.

Maybe they’ll pass away. And my friend, if you’re close to death or you’re not sure of eternal life, you need to trust Jesus Christ right now to be your Savior. And if you have never done that, you can say, Lord, I’m a sinner. I don’t understand a whole lot about the Bible, but I trust right now that Jesus Christ made the full payment for my sin. The by his death and shed blood he paid for my sin debt was buried in rosigim from the dead.

The moment you do, God saves you. I’m Dr. Englunds from Mrs. Bibleline and we’re excited about being with you today. It’s Tuesday. We have the classes tonight. You can take them on the internet, call and sign up and get the passcode. You can also come in person if you’re in driving distance. We’re here in Tampa, Florida right next to the Tampa airport. So here we go, 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771, and we would love to hear from you. Give us a call, and we’ll get you up on the air.

We have several off-air questions, and we certainly want to take care of those. Patty from St. Petersburg calls in. She says, is it alright for women to pray for each other, such as problems in the family and so forth. I know you said women are not to preach, but does that cover praying for each other in a group setting? No, I don’t think it’s a problem at all. Certainly we are all to pray for each other, and we need to pray to the Father through Jesus Christ who is the only mediator, and we need to pray in the direction and within the boundaries in the limits that God the Holy Spirit limits sets as he’s the author of scriptures.

He tells us how to pray. So Patty, no problem with that at all. Actually, the word teach there in 1 Timothy where it says, I suffer or allow not a woman to teach is uniquely a word that has to do with teaching the word of God. Women can teach, but not the word of God. It says over in tines that the older women are to teach the younger women, but But then it gives a list of the things that they are qualified to teach, and it is not the word of God.

And a lot of people take this passage and just see the word teach, and they think it is a carte blanche approval of teaching anything, but it isn’t. Let me just read you that little list there. It is in Titus chapter 2. It says here that the older women are to be in behavior, become a holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things, teachers of good things, not the Bible, that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet.

This is what they’re to teach, to be chaste, to be keepers at home, to be good, to be obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blaspheme. So here’s a list of things that women are to teach younger women, but it never says the word to teach the word of God is forbidden. It’s not given to women to do that. We have a lot of phone calls here waiting to go. We’re going to go right to the phone lines.

Here we have James in Tampa, Florida, and James is on I’m not sure what line he’s on. We’re on line four. All right. Here we go. James. Welcome to Bibleline. Morning. How are you sir? Good. You have a question? Yeah, I have a question. I listen to you, you know, just about every day as much as much as I can. Something you said a few weeks ago, I guess the caller had asked about aliens or something like that. Yeah.

And you had just said that you didn’t believe that aliens exist. Well, I believe that there are only the last two years. life that God has created. There’s God. Then of course there are cherubs, there are serbs, there are angels as we traditionally know what angels are. And then there’s human life, plant life, animal life and so on and microscopic life. But otherwise I don’t think there’s any other life in the universe. And so no, I don’t believe that.

Of course, the Bible doesn’t really say there is not any other life in the universe, but it seems to be very clearly say that God did create creatures that are living in heaven, the cherubs and the serubs are about the throne of God. We read about them in Ezekiel chapter 1, Revelation chapter 4, Daniel chapter 7, so throughout the Bible we read about these creatures that God has made. Plus we read about the angels which says the Bible says are innumerable, And of course we have human life and animal and plant life that we experience every day.

But I don’t know of any other life that’s out there and I don’t really think there is any other life. I think if it were, God would probably tell us. Well, that’s something I’ve had an argument about at a men’s group last night. It was a topic that had come up. And I personally don’t know that there is or isn’t. But I refuse to rule out the possibility of it. Because, if God we know of… of, I used the same argument for aliens as I did for God.

I’m not saying there is one way to other and what the argument was last time of discussion was last night I just simply stated that the God that I worship If he chose to do so and to say that it’s not possible limits the power of the very God that we were to Spiritually speaking like you say there’s no evidence for it or against it Possibility and that thought and I and I didn’t make an argument one way together for again I just said possibly Well, I agree with you there and certainly you could I don’t believe it has I think he would have revealed that to us if he had, but obviously God can do anything, but almost anything.

He can’t break his word, but I think that’s it. So thank you for the call, and we appreciate that. We have a nice letter here today from Mount in Texas from the Barros family. They live in Conro, Texas, and they write here, thanks for all the hard work you do to get the gospel of Jesus Christ to us all. Bless your Bible and ministry and Calvary Community Church and closes a donation. Best wishes and what a nice card. We get lots of these.

I really need to have a pile in my lap here every day and read some of these wonderful comments we get from people. But thank you so much. We now have Arabella. I guess I’m pronouncing it right. I hope and she’s in or in Largo. How do I pronounce your name? Alright, Arabella. How can I help you today? Make sure you turn your radio down because you have to listen on the phone. There’s a 20 second delay. Okay. And then ask your question.

Yes. Okay. Your radio’s turned down? Good. Alright. Now, what is your question? Which one invite questions? I don’t have any question. I have only answered for the pastor because I am Catholic and we don’t divide Jesus Christ. He’s God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And we are saved because we have the Baptist who is the same, the original same, since they, we’re still a little baby, but Christ us. And then we are the real church because this church is the one who got the father in the old Testament as for his son Jesus Christ, who is in Exodus.

Another thing I want to tell you is that God the Father asked for statues for his son to the eye of the designers who He is inside the came commandments and the Catholic Church. He came commandments and the loss from the old Testament. And we know which one side I was seeing it. This is the reason we have the confession. Another thing is we have the Eucharist, his blood and his grind. And we have the priest. We don’t have a big, big mistake.

And he is not talking this through. maybe I think will be a good advice I can talk to these people who are talking around all people and they are listening to one thing. Okay, well you know, it’s exactly what I was saying earlier is that the Catholic Church teaches in, like you said, the baptism and the commandments and in the Eucharist and all those things to get him saved and they’re not trusting Christ. You believe in Christ, but you don’t trust him to be saved.

According to the Bible, Christ is the way, not the Eucharist. Christ is the way, not baptism. Christ is the way, not confession. Christ is the only way to have you must trust Him in order to be saved. We’re coming up on our break time in Erabelle. We’re so glad you called and we have to now go to break. If you are listening, don’t forget we have those classes tonight. We also have another half hour of radio to go. We also want you to know that Bibleline is listeners’ board.

If you’d like to help us, this summer time is a good time to do that. You can give a gift by credit card or call and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address. We’ll also send you a packet of material, our resource list and so on. We’ve got to go to break. We’ll be right back. So don’t go away. Keep your radio dial tuned right where it is. Don’t acknow way. Bibleline will be back in a moment.

Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Alright, I’m Dr. Englund Sherman, this is my blind line, and it’s interesting that the caller we just had here proved exactly what I was saying. They don’t really trust Christ in many churches. They believe in Christ, but they trust keeping the commandments, confession, baptism, church membership, and all the other things to get them into heaven. And obviously you have to trust Christ in Christ alone to be saved. Well, I’m so glad you’re listening and thank you for tuning into Bible on wherever you might be listening.

And we’re not anti-anybody, we’re pro the Bible and we simply care about souls and we don’t want you to go to hell. But if you’re trusting in your works to be saved, you will not be saved. And that scares me. I tell you, I’m frightened for your family, members and loved ones if they don’t know Christ that they may not make it unless they’re trusting Christ alone. That’s why we talked about this today. By the way, this is the time when we’re having our classes going on.

We’re going to do some more in September, but we’re teaching the Gospel of John. I like to teach and I’ve taught for the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago for 11 years and for two other Bible colleges. We are offering these classes right here at the Bible and headquarters and you’re welcome to take the gospel John it’ll be 12 hours of teaching You can sign up and get the 12 hours on CD But you can also sign up and take it live on the internet You can also if you’re driving this has come by and actually sit in the classroom with us It’d be a lot of fun.

Love to have you and that’s tonight and so call in this afternoon By the way, we have a resource sheet, a brand new one now. You might want to call and ask us to send you one of those or just visit our website. We have all of our resources up there with pictures and descriptions and you can order directly. And we have some wonderful tracks that rarely work. We have the greatest book on evangelism. I think you can possibly get a handbook on evangelism tells you how to do it on the one on one.

We have it in Spanish and English for gift of $12. We have the Scofield Bibles, everything from a soft cover for $20 on up to a large print leather for $100. So get everything in between. You might want to inquire about what we have and maybe we might have the Bible that you’re looking for. The Scofield, though, the notes are what’s important. We have it’s in the King James translation, but it’s the notes that are so valuable that will help you really.

Be able to stay on the right course doctrine wise as it covers the doctrines of the Bible very thoroughly. And does a great job. We have to join the stations that have been on break, so keep your radio tuned right where it is, and we’re going to come right back to do a second half hour. So stay tuned, then we’ll be right back.

Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-570-8. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back for not breaking. This is Bibleline and hopefully you’re having fun listening today. I’m having fun bringing the messages to you. And we believe the Bible is the word of God. And we believe that’s the final authority. If anyone teaches different than the Bible, then they’re wrong. Isaiah 820 is one of my favorite verses that says It says if they speak not according to this word, that is the word of God, it is because there is no light in them.

Wow, that’s pretty powerful isn’t it? Isaiah 8, 20, you need to write it down someplace. If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Wow, interesting, interesting. And this is Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our students here at the Calvary Community Church in Tampa where I pastor you’re welcome to come by during the week and visit our resource center open to 430 if you live in another city obviously you can’t but you can go to the internet Bibleline ministry is not ORG and visit our resource center you can stroll down the aisles on the internet and take a look at the different things we have and you can order right there you can also of course come out to a worship service if you’re in the area.

But again, if you’re too far away, you can join our worship service by the internet. That’s right. Our Sunday morning services are up there and you can go to the Bible, Bibleignmenistry.org, Bibleidmanistries.org website, click on the camera and you’ll notice there’s a black screen right in the middle. Well, that won’t come live until Sunday morning between 11 and 12. So you if you’re watching between 11 and 12 you’ll notice clouds will come on the screen you’ll hear the organ cross and when I actually begin the message the audio and the video will come up but if you go there during the week guess what you go to the left side of the screen and you’ll see it says archives click there and you can go back and probably watch and listen to about six months were the sermons.

Okay, if you’re starved for the word of God you’ll enjoy the messages I bring because they’re right out of the Bible. We quote the Scriptures just like we do here on the Bibleline Radio Program. Check that out. BibleLineMinistries.org.com. We have people watching our worship service in Sweden, Germany, England, all across Europe. It’s It’s amazing, you know, across, of course, America. And more and more people are finding out about it and passing it all along to their friends. And maybe you’ve been watching.

But tell your friends about it, and they can join it. On our web page, if you go to the home page, also, if you click on the spinning globe, you’ll catch our radio programs. It was about a year’s worth of radio programs sitting there for you to listen to. Also, if you click on the television set, you get our television programs. It’s all there, right there on the website. Lots of things for you. Keep you busy and we hope you will do that.

We’ll go ahead and go to the phone lines now. This is Bible and the phone number is 1-800-576-3771 and we’re going to go to John in Tampa, Florida and John, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. Good morning, Dr. Hank. What do you think about my account ending on this? Well, I think it’s interesting. Maybe they never figured it would go beyond that, but there’s a lot of people, if you ever tune into the new age people, they’re putting a lot of stock into that, and they believe it, so maybe, you know, of course that’s probably inspired by the devil.

He knows I’m sure when it’s all going to wind up and Christ will come back and he’s defeated, but the next event on God’s program, of course, is the Rapture. That’s what I’m looking for. Doing every believer on the earth will be evacuated. A prior to the seven years of judgments that God’s going to pour out on this earth. But then at the end of that he’ll come back and rule and reign for a thousand years. So we’re not talking about the end of the earth or the end of time.

But we are talking about maybe this is the time when Christ will come back and it might be a lot to it. We’re in the year 2007 right now. And you had five more than that. Five more years we could be at the time of the rapture. Maybe. or the second coming, I don’t know. Couldn’t be the second coming because there’s seven years between the Rapture and the second coming. So, but it could be the Rapture date. Who knows?

I don’t know the date, but I know Christ is coming and I always come here soon. I don’t know if I’ve helped you at all. All right. In my psych vanity each week and he showed us, he showed newspapers that say that the government once put an RFID chip in everyone by next. I believe that. They’re really trying hard to put chips in everybody. They wanted to put them in everybody’s driver’s license. And they were going to do that.

But 12 states, I understand, re-nigged and said they’re not going to do it because it’s just a tremendous cost to the states to put them in your driver’s license. But that’s probably the first step to come up with a national identity card, perhaps your driver’s license, and to put the chip in the driver’s license. The next thing it’ll be chipping in your hand or your forehead. and uh… uh… we’re on the way to that time that’s another sign of why john i believe were close and i believe the actual mark the uh…

the uh… chip going under the skin uh… the real mark really what doesn’t happen till three and a few years after the rapture or dead center in the middle of the tribulation period so i think that uh… the fact that the technology is here and they’re pushing for it tells us we’ve got to be close to the tribulation period the bible predicts. All right. Thank you. All right, John. That was John. And good questions. We have Benjamin in clear water.

Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline. Good morning, Dr. Hank. Dr. Hank, as you know, the Bible teach that when we are Christian and we practice the scene, it’s possible that God take home early. Now, here in And first Timothy, chapter 24, Paul talking there with Timothy. Paul said to Timothy, do not drink water, drink wine now because the probably you have in the stomach. But after that in the 24, Paul said to Timothy, he seen of people manifest. early and some act.

Look like Timothée talked to him there about his deceit and maybe he gave a complaint. Look like Paul said to him, he’s because you practice something. That’s why you have consequences. Now, can you explain to me those words, please? Definitely, you know, Timothée had some stomach problems and it’s interesting to me that why Paul Healym. Paul had the gift of healing and it tells us really that it’s not always God’s will for a person to be healed. Certainly that’s the case here.

So he was the drink wine. There’s nothing wrong with drinking wine. I don’t drink anything without all of all just because I don’t want to have people think I drink or get drunk. But there’s nothing wrong. I believe in court of scripture. It’s only forbidden to get drunk. It says Ephesians 5, 18, be not drunk with wine. So then it says here in verse 24, some men sins are open beforehand and going before to judgment and some men they follow after.

Likewise also, the good works of some are manifest before, and they are otherwise cannot be hid. He’s talking about the Timothy or Timothy’s committee and he’s talking about that we really need to be living for Christ and taking advantage of the opportunities we have all we can because the days are going short and you can get an indication of what’s going to happen at the judgment before you ever get there. If you’re living for Christ, you know you’re going to be rewarded for that.

If you’re not, then you know you’re going to be embarrassed and suffer the loss of reward. That’s all that it’s saying there. Thank you, Benjamin. I hope that helps a little bit. We have Jose and Tampa, and he is asking about a couple of verses in Luke 133. He says that Christ will reign over the house of Jacob forever. In his kingdom there shall be no end. Revelation 1, 6, and James, what is the outlook of these verses? Could we say that the earth and humans is just the beginning of things to come in the universe?

And of course the answer is yes because there will be a thousand year reign of Christ here on the planet. But then the kingdom that Christ establishes at the second coming, the thousand year kingdom, will never be overthrown but will continue on into eternity forever. So certainly the real beginning of eternity for us will be after the millennium when we enter the new Jerusalem and God creates the new heavens and new earth. But it begins at the moment you trust Christ.

That’s when you become saved. And for that point on you can know that you’re going to be a part of this kingdom and live with the Lord forever in the new Jerusalem. I don’t know if I’ve answered your question, but certainly God isn’t going to start other new worlds or create other life. I don’t believe there’s any aliens out there and I don’t believe that there’s life on the of planets, and I’ll never forget when we finally sent men up to the moon, they were very concerned that we would bring back some kinds of living viruses or things that would maybe kill life on the planet.

So these people came back and were quarantined, and many of the astronauts were quarantined I think for months or a couple of months at least, and they were checked out thoroughly to see if they brought nothing back. And the moon rocks and all the other things they brought back had to be quarantined as well. But there was no life. They found no life at all. And I really don’t believe they’re going to find life in space anywhere. This is a unique planet, I think, that God created.

Alright, we have Jack and others apparently. This is a group listing down in Venice, Florida. Do you have any articles on tongues, books on tongues, CDs and DV teachings on tongues. The answer is yes. I have a number of CDs where I go through all of the passages on tongues and explain them. We have the book, especially the one by Merle Unger, author of Unger’s Bible Dictionary called the New Testament Teaching on Tongues. That’s incredible. And I believe we also have a DVD where we talk about tongues as well.

I’m not too sure about the DVD, but I know we have CDs for sure. And you might want to get that because the tongues movement is a false movement. And if you know what the scripture says, you can be able to extricate people out of that situation because it’s just a dead end street. It’s not biblical. And if it were biblical, they were using it wrong because they’re using it in church. It should be used for evangelism. You know what I find so interesting is that the very groups that claim that they have the gift of tongues Have to send their missionaries to language school Before they ever send them to the foreign field.

That doesn’t make any sense at all. Does it? You know if you had the gift of tongues, you ought to be able to say just head out go Why are you waiting? But they sent them for a year to to language school before they ever said them I had a missionary tell me in Central America that they went to language school They came down to Central America began to teach the people there the gibberish He said that the witch doctors have taught them for centuries and centuries They didn’t bring anything new they just brought more of the same so the tribes and the jungles do the gibberish That’s nothing new and the gibberish that the charismatic do is the same as what they do in the jungle It’s not any different And so they go to language school to learn the language of the people to take to the people in the jungle

They very same gibberish that their witch doctor already teaches them. It’s really not the gift at all We have mark in Tampa, Florida Proverbs 3 5 what does it mean to lean not into your own understanding? What does that mean? In other words, you really have to trust the Bible. I mean, you have to believe that there are things much more important than what we might think is important in our life. When we go to the Word of God, I’ll never forget, as a brand new believer, I read Proverbs 11.30.

It says, He that one of the souls is wise. I said, According to the Bible, not very wise. Now at the time I thought I was pretty smart. I was a Sophomore at the University of Forest studying in the engineering program there. And in other words Sophomore from the Greek means wise fool. And here I was, definitely a wise fool. I thought I knew something and I really Learned that I didn’t know anything. But here according to the Bible, I realized that God said hey, you’re not very smart because he that win souls is wise.

And I said I need to get smart here. If God tells me that that’s what’s important, that’s what I need to be doing. And so I began to lead souls to Christ and that has led to what I’m doing today. But I made that decision based upon what the Bible said. So I didn’t lean to my own understanding because if I listen to all my friends and if I listen to everybody that taught me up until that time, they would have told me, you know, get your education, get a good job, and build your life around those things and do what everybody else is doing to what they would consider success.

But the Bible said, hey, the wise person will lead people to Christ. And so I said, that’s what I need to be doing. So you have to not mean your own understanding, but you have to believe the Bible. And this is of course in many, many things that will read the Bible and it will not sound in line with what the world is telling you to do. So you need to pay attention to what God says and don’t lean to the advice you get from unsaved people and others, but get with the Lord.

If you’re in an office, I’ve had this happen so many times, marriage couples having marital problems and the people in the office will give their advice. Get rid of the bum, divorcing. You deserve better. And yet if you go to the Bible, it’s going to say no, your marriage is forever. You’re not going to get out of the marriages. It’s not to be broken. And so if you’re going to lean to the understanding of what other people tell you, you’re not going to believe the Bible.

But if you believe the Bible, then you’re going to follow its principles. And that’s the one you need to pay attention to. Mark, I sure hope that helps you. John and Tampa, Rick Warren, teaches that everything is getting better, not worse, as you teach. world is going to become perfect. Don’t you think you are teaching a doom and gloom message? Well, I believe Rick Warren is wrong. And let me just quote a couple of verses and I didn’t write the Bible and I’m not telling you what I think.

It’s really what the Bible says is going to happen. But look if you will in Timothy it describes the last days of this age, the church age, and it’s so clear. Turn if you hold a first Timothy chapter 3, and it says in verse 1, this no also, that in the last days, perilous times shall come. So the Bible says, guess what? Doom and gloom. Parallest times will come. And then it says a little bit further in verse 13, and I skipped an awful lot of doom and gloom here, evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse deceiving and being deceived.

Well John, I believe the Bible, not Rick Warren, and Rick Warren is wrong. There’s a lot of people that are trying to sell that they can make this world better. And guess what? God did not leave us as Christians here to make this world a better place to go to hell from. This planet is perishing. And you see the signs that people say save the mammals and save the porpoise, the dolphins, you know, and save the rainforest, save our resources and save our atmosphere and blah, blah, blah, blah, and they have the global warming guys out there and everybody wants to save the insects.

The world is perishing and we see the signs everywhere. The Bible says that the people on the planet are perishing and they’re going to hell. Christ didn’t come to do anything but save us from going to hell and to take us to a new heavens and a new earth where we’re going to live forever. It is doom and gloom and if you read your Bible you’re going to see that. There’s a great message about what’s going to happen after that.

The Earth is going to be at peace when Christ comes back. And that’s seven years after the doom and gloom, after the tribulation period is over, Christ says that the nations will learn more and no more. And the horrors will be at peace, the deserts will blossom as a rose. Marvelous time is coming. So John. Do you believe the Bible or do you believe Rick Warren? I think you need to believe the Bible Rick Warren is not right on that.

All right, you know, he’s another one of those positive thinker persons. His mentor is Robert Schuler, the glass cathedral in California. If you listen to Robert Schuller, you really get confused. In his book Self-esteem, he says that sin is lack of self-esteem, that regaining your self-esteem is salvation. The reason why Christians can’t get along is because of the Bible. If we just got rid of the Bible, we’d have harmony among Christians. It’s really, I don’t think Robert Schuller is a Christian at all.

He’s obviously misleading everybody. Rick Warren is basically, and his wife both love Robert Schuler, who is, I don’t think he’d been saved. My view, but I don’t think he is. We have Bobby in Lakeland, Florida, and Bobby says in Revelation 22, 18, 19, is this talking about losing your salvation? The answer is no. Revelation 22 is right after Verses 18 and 19 to right after verse 17 if you read verse 17 It’s God’s final invitation to the world. He says that you need to the spirit of the bride say come And who’s ever here?

Let him say come and whoever’s a thirst let him come and take into the water of life freely It’s an invitation for people to be saved God’s final invitation as he closes out the Bible Verse 18 he says, if you add or subtract to that message about Christ and salvation, you will not go to heaven. So he’s talking to the lost people who, if they pervert the message of the Bible to make it whatever they think it ought to be, and they add to it or subtract, that’s the only way you can alter the message of the gospel, then they will not be saved at all.

That’s what it’s talking about. We have a caller from Old Town, Florida and we have Bob on the line I think maybe Bob are you there? I have a downtown. Somehow we lost Bob. Bob called back from Old Town, Florida. Somehow we lost that call so just dial right back and we’ll get you up. Bob, Lewis down in Venice, Florida calls in, leaves this question off here. Recently you talked about a world chart. I can’t find it on your website.

We’ll be glad to mail it to you but I don’t know what you’re talking about. If you can bring a little clarification on it maybe I can figure out what you’re talking about. in some book that we have, but I don’t have a world chart, so I’m not too sure what you are saying.

I think he’s a pretty good a Bible teacher. So I can take a first look at what’s going on. I can’t keep track of everybody, but I’ve been blessed by a number of his messages. Somebody told me, and I think he’s using one of the flawed translations, but I’m not even sure about that. So I think David Duramont is probably one of the good ones. If somebody knows more, I’ll have to Take a look. I think his doctrine is sound on everything.
