We can get you a map so you can go directly to the baptism site or you can motorcade with us. We’ll be driving from the church and we’ll motorcade up around 2 o’clock and it’s just a few miles north of the Bible and headquarters here at Calvary Community Church.

We’d like to include you. Be it a beautiful lake beautiful church members Backyard their lawn goes right down to the water’s edge the bottom is nice and sandy and will be baptizing Hopefully you if you need to be baptized By the way every believer ought to be baptized Not as a means of salvation certainly water does not save You know the Apostle Paul said in Corinthians because of the jealousy and division that was caused over who had baptized whom Paul said I think I’ve baptized none of you.

That was quite a statement. You know if water baptism were necessary for salvation Paul would be saying I think that none of you are saved. That’s certainly not something he would have said. But baptism is one of the two ordinances that the Lord has left for us as believers to observe. First water baptism is a picture of how we’re cleansed of our sin by the the Lord of Christ. It’s a once for all thing. We only get baptized once.

And then the Lord’s Supper has to do with our daily walk and has to do with coming before the Lord and confessing our sins and recognizing that we have sinned as a believer and claiming the promise of forgiveness and cleansing and first on one mind and then having communion or fellowship with the Lord as we remember. He says, do this in remembrance of me. Anyway, this is my blind about Dr. England’s room and we are looking forward to having you come by sometime if you’re in the area.

Or if you fly in, we’re right next to the airport. You really ought to take that extra minute drive by and see us because we’re so close to the airport. Sometimes I feel like when I’m outside the building, I can reach up and slap those airplanes. I can reach up and slap those airplanes. I mean, we’re that close. We’re one block west of the main north south runway. So if you get your map out, you can kind of put your finger on the Tampa International Airport.

You can say, wow, Calvary Community or Bibleline is right there, right next to the airport. So if you ever fly in, we’re right there. Come by and see us. We have people to do. We had a number of people Number of people this past week in and of course you’re always welcome to join us for a worship service We hope that you will do that we’re gonna get into the Bible for a few minutes And then we’re gonna go ahead and take our callers today that number if you’d like to call in is 1-800-576-3771 1-800-576-3771 and And you’re invited to call in with your question and we hope that you will take advantage.

1-800-576-3771. And again, by the way, on our internet, we’ve had now 150 countries log in. And one of them, the latest, is of course, an island in the Pacific Ocean, north of New Zealand. And it’s amazing to me how people wind up finding us, but it’s wonderful. I get emails from India, from Kenya, Africa, from Europe, from all around where people are watching or listening to Bibleline. You know, when I was in Israel in March of this year, we met people from Nigeria that listened to Bibleline on the internet.

I was just amazed. I said, how can this be? What are the chances that I would run into people from Africa while I’m in Israel? And they’re also in Israel that are watching and listening to Bible and we met a whole other group from Northern Nigeria. Same thing about four or five pastors that say they listen to Bible and on the internet. That’s really the hand of God. And we do thank God for what he is doing. By the way, I want to say a word to those people up in the Pensacola, Mobile, Alabama, and that area.

We’d like to hear from you. We haven’t heard from you very often, and we’d like to know that you’re listening and enjoying the program up that way. So call up, and if you don’t have a question, just tell our operators that, hey, you’re listening and you’re enjoying the program. We would love to hear from that area. We are broadcasting the everyday live as we go on live here. We are going back to the book of Habakkah in the Old Testament and here we have Habakkah giving us a prophecy about 700 years before Christ came the first time telling of what would happen to cross and how the Jewish people would reject their Messiah and would not believe the story of the gospel.

What an amazing passage and this was told hundreds of years in advance. for knew that the Jewish people, for the most part, would not accept the Messiah, and they would remain in blindness for the most part throughout this whole age. By the way, God does not throw it through with the Jews. Definitely He is going to bring them back into their land, and we find that many will come to know Christ after the Rapture, after the Holy Spirit has taken a body of believers for his name among the Gentiles during this age that began to pentecostal in the rapture, but in the meantime the Jewish people are pretty much in unbelief.

It says in Habakkah 1-5, Behold you among the nations. It’s talking here about a Jewish people that are dispersed and we know that there were two dispersions, one was the Babylonian captivity and even this had not yet happened but there was going to be two dispersions because of their unbelief. The second one was in 8070 after Christ was rejected and how that in their dispersion they would not receive the gospel. So behold you among the nations is a better rendering.

You among the nations, you that are scattered. It says here and it says here that you will… He said, I wonder, marvelously, for I work a work in your days which you shall in no wise believe, though it be told you. That work, by the way, is the work that Christ accomplished at the cross of Calvary. That is what it’s talking about. When Jesus came, He came to bring about the work of salvation. He’s the one that did the work of salvation.

Our part is to simply receive it. It’s a gift. We find that Christ himself not only is the rock, but he is also the work that God said he would accomplish. In John 6, and I think we mentioned this the other day, it says in John 6 when the people said what shall we do that we might work the works of God, Jesus answered and said unto them, this is the work of God that you believe on Him whom ye have sent.

So in other words, the work of God is Christ. And when you believe on the one that God sent who came to do the work of salvation at the cross, then God saves you. It’s that simple. So He is the work. And on the cross, He said it is finished. That means He completed the work on the cross of Calvary. And it was His death in shed blood that purchased our salvation. you believe on that work God saves you.

But I want to go to the book of accident. We find after Christ had been rejected after the Jewish people had rejected him for the most part. Of course we have to remember all the first Christians were Jews and many did believe on Christ. But we find that after once we have entered into the church age, once Pentecost that happen, that here Paul is preaching in Gentile cities, and he is preaching to dispersed Jews just like Habakkah had spoken about in prophecy almost 700 years before Christ came and died on that cross, and he says unto them in verse 38, Be it known unto you, therefore, men and brethren, that through this man has preached unto you the forgiveness of sins.

That’s Christ that He is the one in whom there is salvation, and through this man, not through a denomination, not through a church, not through the commandments, but through this man, Jesus, is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins. And verse 39 is a gem. It says, and by Him all the believe, by Him all the believe are justified from from how many things? From all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. So notice, here’s the John 3 16 of this particular chapter.

Here we have by him all. So God’s love the world, he gave his only begotten son. It says, by him, that is the one that God gave. All, that’s the who’s soever. And it says here that believe, that’s the who’s soever believeth in Christ, would not perish, but have eternal life. It says here they would be justified from all things. If you were justified from all things, could you be certain of going to heaven? The answer would be yes.

Can you be justified by your works or by keeping the commandments? The answer is no. It says in this verse, from which you could not be justified by the Law of Moses. The Bible is very clear that we are not saved by works, but we are saved by faith. We are saved by faith in the finished work of Christ and that He is the work that God would do and that when you believe on Christ, who is the one who accomplished the work of salvation and finished it at the cross, God saves you.

So here’s the warning then in verse 40, be where therefore this is Acts 13 verse 40, lest that come upon you which is spoken of in the prophets, behold you despisers and wonder and perish. Notice it talks about how they just dismiss the message of the gospel and they wonder about it, but yet they wind up perishing, which means that they are lost and go to hell. The Bible says in John 3, 16, if you would believe in Christ, you would not perish, but you’d have eternal life.

Then he goes on to say, and it quotes from Abaca 1, 5, for our work, our work, and your days, a work which you shall in no wise believe. So a man declared to you. What an incredible passage here. And it’s really here, and it’s interesting to me, that Paul is delivering this message. The Jewish people in a Gentile city, part of those that are dispersed among the nations, just like Habakkah had said so many years earlier. It’s interesting in Paul’s message here, he says in verse 26, men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham.

He’s clearly talking to dispersed Jews. He’s not in Jerusalem. He’s in a Gentile city. And he says, men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham and whosoever among you that fear of God to you is the word of this salvation sent. You know, this message of salvation is sent to everyone, but God had told to the prophet Hagai, a rather abaca, that they would be dispersed among the nations, but yet they still would not believe the work that God did that would accomplish their salvation, the work that Christ would accomplish it across.

And Jesus said, if you want to be saved, that this is the work of God that you believe on him whom he hath said. That is Jesus himself, is the one who accomplished the work at the cross and set on the cross. It is finished. And then it says here, in verse 27, for they that dwelled Jerusalem and their rulers because they knew him not. Amazing. The Jewish people missed who Christ was when he came the first time. And notice here it says in verse 27, Because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath day to this day.

The Jewish people read the Old Testament prophets. I have visited many services in a synagogue, including the Orthodox synagogue. They pulled the scrolls down and they read from the Scriptures. And yet they don’t realize they’re talking about Jesus Christ. I have oftentimes felt like I want to stand up and cry out.blem This is all about Jesus. The Old Testament is full of Christ and yet they don’t know Him nor do they recognize what the voices of the prophets are saying when they read the scriptures in the synagogue every Sabbath day when they come together.

But it says here they have fulfilled those scriptures in condemning Him. When they condemn Christ, they fulfilled what the Prophet said that the Messiah would be rejected. He said, about the Jews that were dispersed, you won’t believe even though somebody brings the message to you and tells you about it, you reject it. It says, though they found no fault of death in Christ, verse 28 of Acts 13, yet desired they piloted he should be slain. And then it says in verse 29, and when they had fulfilled all, when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, there were hundreds of prophecies, and they fulfilled every one of them to the letter.

That’s a positive proof that the Bible is the Word of God and that Jesus Christ is indeed the Savior. And of course it says here, then they, when they had fulfilled all the scriptures who were written about him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a sepulchre. But verse 30 says, but God raised him from the dead. Jesus came back from the dead. He’s alive. And boy, that is, of course, what separates Christ from everyone else.

Buddha is still dead, but Mohammed is still dead, Confucius is still dead, and all the founders of all the world religions are dead men. Christ alive is alive. Verse 31 says he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galileated Jerusalem, who are his witnesses, one of the people. We declare unto you glad tidings, good news, good news how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, God have fulfilled the same unto us, their children, and that he raised up Jesus again.

All of that was predicted. He says here as he quotes Habakkah, you guys are fulfilling this passage. He says, watch out. You despise this message and you wind up perishing because he says, I work, I work in your days, a work which you shall and no one is believed, though a man tell you about it or declare it to you. It’s scary, isn’t it? Well, I’ve led many Jewish people to Christ, but for the most part, Jewish people are in blindness, but you know God’s not through with the Jew?

And we know that since the rapture happens, the blinders come off, and millions of Jewish people will come to know Christ, and they will be the ones who will become the subjects of the Millennial Kingdom when Christ comes back as their king and rules over them and brings peace on earth. Good will toward men. I’m Dr. Anker, and this is my blind. You can call us here at 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to go to the phone lines right now.

We have Doris waiting patiently down Bradenton, Florida, and Doris. Welcome to Bible in your own ear. Thank you for taking my call. I listened to Hank and to graph, I think his name is 9-time. I don’t think I agree with him, but I don’t understand exactly all he’s teaching in his book. Would you explain something to me about it? Of course. He has the book Apocalypse Code and he says you have to have his book to understand the Bible.

Basically, he’s saying that the Jews are done for. And this is a belief that started with Augustine. in the 5th century has carried down through the Roman Catholic Church to this hour that the Church has replaced Israel and that basically Israel was riding the horse down through history and because they rejected Christ they fell off the horse and the Church jumped on the horse and is now riding the horse up until the end of time here on this earth.

And so they don’t believe in a rapture, they don’t believe in the Second Coming, they don’t believe in a thousand-year millennium because they believe that Christ came back in AD 70 and the second coming occurred two thousand years ago. And so therefore everything in the book of Revelation is historic. They believe that the Antichrist was Nero and that he arose during that seven years between AD 64 and AD 70 when supposedly Christ returned AD 70 and that was the second coming of Christ.

There was nobody saw it and you can’t really take the Bible literally if you want to have that view. So therefore you have to have his apocalypse code which tells you how to not believe these passages and how that they’re metaphorical. They don’t really mean what they say. And of course he’s totally wrong. That’s the same thing that Mary Baker edited in the Christian Science Church. She wrote a book telling you what passages you couldn’t believe and her book, The Spirit of Truth and Spirit of Error and the Key to Science and Health in the Scriptures.

That book tells you what Scriptures are not to be believed and which passages are. It’s really a lot of craziness. I believe the Bible is to be taken literally. If God said it, and we believe it, that settles it. We don’t need to have some special code to go in and say, well, these passages are negated, or negated because God is through with Israel. That’s not true. The Bible clearly says that God has a future plan for Israel, and I believe we’re getting close to that return of Christ for us at the Rapture, and then he’ll carry out his plan for Israel, and they will be established in the Middle East as a nation with Christ ruling over them.

Well, I don’t know, he’s going to get in so many verses that come back up the way I’m afraid he’s deceiving many people. Well, I agree. I think his book is totally wrong. I think he’s trying to get a square into a round hole and it just won’t work. And obviously, you get an ice-grap, sure, and I’ve read what he does. He tries to go to the Old Testament to prove his case. And he’s basically saying, and again, it’s a denial of what happened in the Old Testament where there are things that would take place literally, but he said they didn’t take place literally then.

This is therefore we interpret New Testament passages not happening literally as well. But it’s quite clear in the book of Jeremiah that God is going to restore the land that he promised Abraham to his people and they will dwell there and they’ll never be hooked up again. And I think we’re getting close to when that’s going to happen. Yes. Well, thank you very much. very clear and can I ask you one more question? Sure. This was a very supportive my husband.

At first Peter 3 21. Look at Wolf and maybe you can explain that verse okay. All right thank you so much. Thank you. First Peter chapter 3. This is often not a troublesome passage for some but you have to recognize that and when you’re reading about this it begins the thought begins in verse 18 and 1 Peter, and there it talks about Jesus Christ being offered up on the cross of Calvary just one time to pay for our sins.

In other words, by the one time death of Christ we’re saved forever. Well, when you read verse 19 and 20, their parenthetical, that means you could drop verses 19 and 20 and and and still everything makes sense here because the thought of verse 18 continues really in verse 21. The fact the Christ was crucified, then buried and raised again by the Holy Spirit. As the last phrase, verse 18, tells us that Christ was quickened by the Holy Spirit. That means He was raised from the dead.

Verse 21, the like figure, wherein to even baptism, death also now save us. And I believe it’s talking about the like figure being the baptism of the Holy Spirit, where the Holy Spirit takes you and me and places us into Christ’s body. And just as Christ was crucified, so were we because we are seen in Christ’s body. And when Christ was buried, we were buried, when Christ rose, we rose. And that’s what Romans 6 is talking about, that we were baptized into Christ’s death, and we were buried with Christ and rose again with Christ, and that is how God sees us positionally when we trust Christ as our Savior.

It’s clearly not talking about water here because verse 21 says here, not the putting in a way of the filth of the flesh. Water is such a great solvent that if you get yourself in water, some of the filth of flesh will be removed. So it’s not talking about water, but it is the answer of a good conscience towards God. Because you are seen crucified with Christ and buried and resurrected and actually ascended with Christ. You can go to sleep at night with a good conscience knowing that God sees you saved and already in heaven positionally because of the like figure which is the baptism and Holy Spirit which every believer has.

1 Corinthians 12, 13 says, by one spirit are we all baptized into one body. That’s the one that saves us. Doris, thank you for calling Those are good questions and that’s a tough passage in Peter, but that’s the real answer verse 19 and 20 are parenthetical. Just they add some information to us about the Holy Spirit and what He did prior to the days of Noah. But verse 21 is a back to verse 18. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is by my line and it’s great to be with you.

And I hope that you’ll enjoy our programs all this week. Again, if you could help us financially, we are in the summer months and this is a time someone who could really use the help of our listeners. Would you pray for us? I hope you will. And if you would give us a gift this summer, call the 800 number and I’ll tell you how you can do it by credit card or they’ll send you an envelope with our address on it.

But right now we’re going to go to break. We’ll come back into a second half hour. So keep your radio tight right there next to you. We’ll be right back in just one moment. We’ll go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. 771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Englund’s from it. It’s wonderful to be with you. Thank God for all of you who listen. You all have a relationship and a partnership with us here at Bible.

And it really keeps us on the air. You know, it’s a real, real, real partnership because when we started this program, I didn’t know how we were going to be able to do this. I really prayed about about it for a couple of weeks and we were offered a 15-minute spot here in Tampa and the price was such that I said how in the world could we ever afford that and as I thought about doing it and getting in debt I said I don’t want to do that Lord how can I possibly do this I was looking out the window in the final hours when I had to make my decision and a car drove into parking a lot and they came up to the door and came in it was a friend that I hadn’t seen in years.

And as he came in and shook my hand, he handed me a check. I put it in my shirt pocket. We talked for a while. And finally he said, aren’t you going to look at that check? And I was a little bit embarrassed. I said, well, if you want me to do it, I’ll look at it right now. He said, I felt you must have had some need. And the Lord has put it on my heart to give you this gift.

I want you to use it for whatever that need is that God is laying on your heart. I opened it up and it was a check for $30,000. I said, let me just tell you the story. I was just praying as your car drove into the parking lot about whether we should go on the air with this program by blowing. And you know, I said, you just answered the prayer and we’re gonna go. And you know, it started with 15 minutes and the opportunity arose for 30 minutes.

I said, how in the world can we afford that? We can hardly afford the 15 minutes. And then the door opened for an hour. And I said, Lord, how can we do that? We can hardly afford that half hour. But you know the Lord has supplied all along through people just like you who give the Bible. God bless you. I really tell you that your partnership with us and getting this program out and keeping it on the air is real.

And without your help we couldn’t do the program. That’s really the truth. And we don’t pay any salaries. We really want to get the message out. We feel desperate about it. We feel like the hour is about ready to come to a conclusion where Christ will rapture us out and we won’t have opportunity to do this anymore. We need to do it while we can do it. And so we thank God for all of you. Thank you so much.

And if you haven’t given and you’d like to be one of those partners, you can help us greatly by calling in and giving a gift over the phone by credit card or just… We’re going to do the second half hour. Now we’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break and we’ll come back and do the second half hour. Now so keep your radio tuned where it is and thank you for tuning in today. God bless you. We are now going to do part two right now.

and thank you for tuning in today. God bless you. We are now going to do part two right now. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back from that break and this is Bible and it’s so wonderful to be able to be with you and I was just sharing a moment ago about how this program really got started and it was quite a miracle about really a little, I guess it’s a little over five years ago.

We had the opportunity to be on the air for 15 minutes and we thought, well, how in the the world. Can we possibly afford that? It was very expensive and we didn’t have the money. And so I was praying about it for a couple of weeks and as I looked out the window as I prayed on the afternoon when I finally had to say yes or no, I was saying, Lord, I don’t know, I don’t want to get in debt.

I want to be able to get on the air. But what should I do? A guy drove into the parking lot and I went around and met him as he came to the side door and he came in and shook my hand handed me a check. I put it in my shirt pocket, sat and talked and finally he said, aren’t you going to look at that check and I was a little bit embarrassed. I said, well, yeah, if you don’t look at it right now, a wittle.

He said that I felt that there was something that you, some need you had that God has prompted me to give you this. Well, I opened it up and it was for 30,000. I said, let me tell you the story. You just answered a big prayer. I was wrestling over this thing and you’ve now answered it. We are going to go on the air. And that was the beginning. And then the opportunity came for a 30-minute program. And I said, Lord, we could barely afford the 30, 15-minute program.

How can we do a 30? And then the door opened for an hour show. And then we said, well, how can we afford that? We could hardly afford the half-hour. And then of course, we went out to other stations. Now we’ve spread out to a lot of the country and on the internet all over the world. And we’re just excited about what we got. But let me tell you, it’s you, the listeners that have made all that possible. And I really want to thank God for you because without the gifts that have come in through our listeners, we couldn’t be on the air.

We don’t pay anybody any salary. I don’t get a salary. We’re trying to get this message out. We believe that the times are running out. This is the time to do it while we can do it. Before Jesus comes back and we say while we regret that we didn’t more aggressively trying to get this message out to the world because the time is running out, I think, for us as believers. Just look at the headlines. My goodness, this world is not getting better.

It’s getting to be a more dangerous place to live in. I’m glad that God has a plan to evacuate us at the event of the Rapture, aren’t you? I really am. And I don’t know when he’s coming back, but I just feel like he’s close. I think everybody has that feeling that we’re getting closer to the Lord’s return. Thank God for all of you. God bless you. I’m Dr. Englunds from this is By Blind. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church.

We certainly want to let you know that you can visit our worship services on Sunday. I just got word a few minutes ago that the Sunday message is now sitting in archive from this past Sunday. You can go and watch that message on the internet. Just click on that camera on the home page. But also you can click on the spinning globe and get our radio shows. You can get this one live right at this very moment. But also you can go back and listen to any time you want in the future.

It’ll sit there for you. And you can download them in the MP3 format for your iPod. You can, we have podcasting so you can set it up at no charge. And it’ll just download these programs to your computer so you can put them into your iPod. And a lot of people tell me they carry the programs with them. Is they go jogging or bike riding or whatever they do, and they carry the programs in their iPod? What an amazing world.

We also have that for our television, I believe, too. You can download those programs, and we hope that you’ll take advantage. In any case, thank you all for praying for us and for giving to the Bible and ministry. You’re the ones who are… The heroes that keep this program going. I want to say that this Sunday is the third Sunday. And for those that are in driving distance, if you have not been water baptized and you don’t have a church home or place where somebody would baptize you, we would love to include you.

I would be honored to be the one to baptize you. Really, that would be a real privilege. We don’t baptize to get you saved. The baptism is a testimony that you are already saved and are saved by being cleansed by the blood of Christ, but the water is ceremonial in picture. A picture that Christ asked us to do as a believer to demonstrate that we have been cleansed of our sin by the blood of Christ. We will be doing that this sunny, the 19th of August at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

It’s a dinner day so you can come and join us for the morning worship. Stay for the dinner. We will motorcade a couple miles north of the Bibleline here to a beautiful lake setting. I love the outdoors and we’ll have a nice green lawn and we’ll be able to walk right down to the water a sandy bottom and we’ll be advertising and we’ve got a professional photographer who’s going to take pictures of everyone being baptized just as they are about ready to go under and their head going under the water and that big smile on their face when they come up out of the water rejoicing just like the Ethiopian unit.

It’s going to be great and I look forward to it and we’d love to have you be a part of it. In any case, I wanted to let you know that. Give us a call and get on the list. Just tell us your coming. You’d like to be a part of that. We’ll include you in that water baptism by immersion. And hopefully you’ll find it a wonderful historic day in your Christian life. You say, this is when I gave testimony.

This is when I was obedient to the Lord in being water baptized. I had a father and son just call me this morning. I said that his son said that if we do it together I’ll be sure glad to do that and I thought how sweet there’s a dad and son give you a bad times together This coming Sunday. Well, we are Gonna go to the phone lines here the phone numbers 1-800-576-3771 and we have Anthony and he’s calling in from Richmond, Virginia Virginia, and Anthony, welcome to Bibleline.

Hello. I had a question. Sure. Well, thank you. Thank you. That’s great. I enjoy your show. I’m going to get a chance to listen to it. I had a question dealing with, I got you a creation. I think the first volume of the creation CD that was dealing with, I think, Jeremiah 23-26. Yes. You know early creation stuff, so can you clarify that just a little bit well? I’m sure you know, it’s in the Jeremiah chapter 4 that you’re referring to beginning in verse 23 as you said and They’re Jeremiah, you know in the Bible.

We have some of the prophets being caught into the future as John the apostle was and he actually was an eyewitness, you know when John was told to write the book of Revelation, he says, write down the things that you see. So he wasn’t hearing somebody dictate to him the Bible, but he actually saw the events and wrote down what he saw. And it was amazing because he was caught into the future and saw things that haven’t happened yet that we’re reading about in our Bible.

That’s fascinating. But Jeremiah was one of those, and it had been several, Ezekiel was caught into the past. Jeremiah was caught into the past as well as prophets being caught into the future. In verse 23 of chapter 4 of Jeremiah he says, I beheld the earth and lo it was without form and void. And the heavens they had no light. That is exactly what you read in Genesis 1-2. He was caught back to see the event where God destroyed the earth after the original creation.

We know from Djed. 45-18 that when God created the earth, He created it perfect and inhabited. If you read Isaiah 45-18 very carefully, it says, He created it not in vain. The word vain in the Hebrew is the very same word translated void in Genesis 1-2, and it’s telling us He didn’t create it that way. It became that way. It was created perfect, verse 1, and inhabited. We believe there were plants, animals, dinosaurs, and all of God’s angels. And then Lucifer decided to overthrow heaven and he let a rebellion of angels toward heaven and then got cast him back down on the earth and judged him and his angels and…

This is a fascinating passage that talks about how this occurred and it says here, according to my Bible, that it happened at the presence of the Lord and his fierce anger. There is no other event in history that would describe what this is saying here except Genesis 1 2. It was at the presence of the Lord and his fierce anger came upon the earth and the The Bible says in these passages there was no man on the earth at this time.

So the plants and animals all of them were destroyed. NASA tells us that the dinosaurs were destroyed 65 million years ago and so we believe it probably happened 65 million years ago when the life was killed. But then rather recently, 6000 years ago that Adam and Eve were placed on this planet. And in seven days God made the earth inhabitable again and puts man on the planet. I hope that helps a little bit. Thank you. Thank you. You’re welcome.

Anthony in Richmond, Virginia. We have CDs on that where I go through the teachings and go verse by verse. And I think the Bible is pretty clear about the earth was originally created when the universe was created. And it was inhabited from the get-go. And that rather recently 65 million years ago life was killed. That’s what this incident out in Utah is all about. Coal, 1,890,100 feet below the surface. Trap, that’s fossilized vegetation. How did it get there? And why did it get there?

That was a judgment on the surface. We have oil underneath the Middle East. My goodness, I’ve been there numerous times. It’s just all sand. But underneath that sand is all this fossilized animal life that we put into our gas tank to run our cars. And that I think is all the evidence of that judgment in Genesis 1-2. We’re now going to go to Peter and he’s in Wesley Chapel, Florida. And Peter, welcome to the Bible. Good morning. Thank you for taking my call.

I’m kind of new to faith. So forgive me of my question, some kind of ignorant, but I’m too a messianic Jewish preacher. Rabbi, if you will, and who says that for us to understand the Bible, we need to understand Jewish idioms. idioms. And he also says that we are still on. Could you give me a point of view on that and maybe the Messianic movement in general? Well, he’s totally wrong and it’s an unfortunate thing, but most of the Messianic congregations are putting themselves under the law.

You need to read the book of Galatians. The book of Galatians tells us that you don’t want to put yourself under the law. Let me share with you a couple of verses. First of all, it says in Galatians chapter 3, and I’m turning there right now in my Bible, It says in verse 10 here, for as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse. So when you put yourself under the law, you are cursed.

That’s what it says. And then it quotes from the Old Testament and says, cursed is everyone that continue without all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. So as soon as you put yourself under the law, you put yourself under the curse. He tells us in verse 13 here that Christ had redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. So Christ took upon himself our sin and became cursed at the cross and died to pay for your sins and mine so we can be delivered from the law.

We’re not under the law. And then later in chapter 4, he reminds his readers here in the book of Galatians. He says in verse 9, Now after you have known God, or rather are known of God, once you’ve gotten Savior. How turn you again to weak and beggarly elements where of you desire again to be in bondage? You observe days and months and times and years. That’s the Jewish people. Boy, I tell you, they observe exactly when the sun sets.

I’ve attended these things and they begin the Sabbath right on the clock with the sunset and they start following all the rules of the law and they observe the months, the times, the holidays and so on. And we are not under the law. Those were all according to Colossians 2, nailed to the cross and taken out of the way, and we are not any more under the law. So the Christian is set free. And that is what Galatians 5 goes on to say.

He says, stand fast in the liberty wherewithChrist has made you free. Why do you want to go back and be under the law? And then it warns here that the law really is a curse. And you come under God’s curse when you’re under the law. We’re not under the law. I hope that helps a little bit. My tape series on the book, congratulations, I think would really open your eyes if you want to order something like that. Or just read this wonderful book.

I appreciate it. You’re so welcome and thank you Peter for calling in. You can call our operators and or go online and you’ll see I have a 10 hour teaching on CD on the book of relations and it’s clear this is this is one book that just says don’t put yourself under the law my goodness but most of the messianic congregations worship one one day they worship on the Sabbath. They’re putting themselves under the observance of the days and under the law and I believe that they’re not.

that they are violating what the scripture says that we shouldn’t be going back to those weak and beggarly elements that were foreshadowing the things that were to come. We have Priscilla now on, and she’s in Tampa, Florida. Well Priscilla, welcome to Bible Life. Thank you, Pastor. I have two quick questions. The first one is what is the best knowledgeable in depth accurate, easy to read and understand Bible study book. And my second question has to deal with Hebrews 6 from verses 4 to 6.

From what I read from there, it says, if you want to get saved and you’ve seen it is impossible to be ever saved again or you know, it’s not talking about- Well, it’s impossible to begin to save again because you’re saved forever from the get-go. In other words, when you get away from the Lord, you need to go back and get with the Lord again as far as service is concerned to the Lord. But as far as salvation, like verse 6 says, if they fall away to renew them again on to repent.

In other words, if you went back to try to go through that experience of changing your mind and trusting Christ to save you all over again, look at what it says. It says you would be crucifying Christ again to yourself because he’s never going to die again. He died once and we just covered that in 1 Peter 3 18 a moment ago that Christ once suffered for our sins at the cross just for the unjust that he might save us.

He won’t die a second time or third time. If you try to go back and become safe again in a sense you’re crucifying Christ all over again to yourself. And then it says you’re putting him to an open shame. You’re really saying that Christ one time death was not sufficient to save you eternally. So the point is he’s saying there in verse 9 we’re talking about things here that accompany salvation, Hebrew 6-9. And then he says in verse 10 that God is not unrighteous to forget your labor of love.

So he wants to reward you. And it says there he won’t forget one thing that you’ve done and he’ll reward you in heaven. So get going again. start serving again. And you don’t have to go back and become saved again. That’s impossible because you’re saved forever once you trust Christ. So that’s what it’s saying. You see that in sports and I don’t watch a whole lot of football but I used to love it nearly. And you see a football player and he goes out on the field and so he gets knocked down.

What does he do? Start crying and run to the sideline? I don’t want to play anymore. You know, a good football player might get knocked out two, three, four times on one play. He still gets up and maybe makes the final tackle or accomplishes the thing that he was sent out there to do. And that’s a good player. You have to keep getting back up. And that’s what Hebrew 6 is talking about. If you get away from the Lord, get back with the Lord.

If you fall down, get back up and keep serving. But don’t go back and try to become saved again. That’s impossible. No, what is the best Bible study out there? What I recommend is the old Schofield Reference Bible and that’s what we have here in our Resource Center and it is the King James edition. Now let me just tell you something about the King James. The King James was written at a fifth and sixth grade level. So I tell people that tell me they have problems with the King James, you must have trouble reading at the fifth and sixth grade level.

And then usually they don’t say anything more because all the other ones that are out there are usually two, three, four, five, six years of level degree of difficulty greater than the King James. The only problem is the these and the thousand. I don’t know why that becomes such a stumbling block for people but I find, I leave people to Christ all the time, I get them into a school field Bible, it’s King James after they sit under me for a couple months.

They don’t even, they never complain. They just, the these nalskas kind of disappear because they know it’s talking about you or it’s talking about me. And it’s not anything very difficult. I just kind of goes right away as you begin to become familiar with it. But I recommend the King James Old School of Bible. And I think it’s the best thing around. Okay, thank you very much. All right, and we have that available here. We in fact the old school field is hard to get anymore.

You go to your Christian bookstore and you’re going to try to say that new hybrid which is terrible. Most of them, and well not most, but a lot of the notes are added. They don’t tell you who wrote them. And they aren’t by Dr. Scofield and you won’t know which ones are Dr. Scofield and which ones are the added ones unless you take an old Scofield. Phil, 1909 or 1917 edition, and compare. And you say, oops, this one’s not in that 1909 or 1917.

This must be one of the new ones. And usually, those I really disagree with. I think they’re all messed up. And so we try real hard here to keep that old school feel available. And I think it’s getting scarcer as time goes along. But it’s been out there for 100 years, almost, 1909 it’s almost 2009 so coming up on the 100th anniversary of the Schofield Bible we have Robert in Daytona Florida and Robert welcome to my mind you’re on Good morning, Dr.

Listen, I enjoy your teaching and I thank God for you and I want you to keep on doing it. Listen, I’m not going to hold you long, but I have a problem. And Joel, 228, an axe 216, and it’s expected at 17, where it’s talked about the women prophesying. I have a problem with a lot of problems. Right now they did. I’m very confused whether the Bible is telling the women that they could teach or preach and also in the book of life.

And so I… I listen to you. Alright thank you Robert in Daytona Beach well you know it’s It’s interesting that Joel is taken here wrongly. Peter doesn’t say in Acts 2 that Joel’s prophecy was fulfilled. He said the same Holy Spirit that Joel spoke about is the Holy Spirit that was given at Pentecost. But if you read Joel, the prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. It tells us in the Prophet Joel that this would be when the Holy Spirit would be poured out upon all flesh.

So far that hasn’t happened even at Pentecost only upon believers, but at the second coming We know the Holy Spirit will be poured out upon all flesh In my neighborhood not everybody my neighborhood has always spirit and everybody here in Tampa doesn’t have always spirit in this city Where we broadcast from I wish they did but they don’t and if you notice carefully It says here But this prophecy is yet to come and in fact if you read the context in verse 20 it talks about the destruction of Russia At the Battle of Armageddon the verses following that talk about Jesus coming back and actually being here on the earth ruling over the earth From Jerusalem that hasn’t happened yet and if you read verse 28 very carefully in Joel 2 It says it should come to pass afterward afterward After what after the destruction of

Russia after crisis come back and set up his rule here on the earth ruling over the earth from Jerusalem, it says I’ll pour out my spirit upon all flesh. How can that be possible? Because when Christ comes back at the Second Coming, He’s going to slay or kill every unbeliever on the earth. So only believers are left to enter into the Millennium. And every one of them will receive the Holy Spirit. This has not happened yet. Joel 2.28 is a future prophecy.

It hasn’t happened. And so all that they’re trying to pull out of that verse hasn’t happened yet and it won’t be until the millennium which by the way we’re pretty close to perhaps I believe if the rapture were to happen today there would be seven years of tribulation and then Christ would come back kill every unbeliever on the earth and then all the rest saved would receive the Holy Spirit and they would enter in and that prophecy then would be fulfilled I hope that helps you I know that that is a passage that is terribly mistaken.

You know in the New Testament many times it’ll take an Old Testament passage and said it was fulfilled. Peter never says that. He says that the Holy Spirit given a Pentecost was the same Holy Spirit that Jesus will pour out upon all flesh at the second coming but the prophecy of Joel has not yet been fulfilled. Thanks for calling in Robert and they turn and I hope it helps you a little bit but you have to rightly divide the word of truth.

That’s That’s what 2 Timothy 2.15 says, to study, to show yourself approving the God as a workman. That doesn’t have to be ashamed when you stand before the Lord at the Judgement of Christ for believers, rightly dividing or setting the truth of God’s Word in right order. That’s what we’re talking about here. Well, I’m Dr. Englund, and I hope everybody listening today has trusted Christ as a Savior. It’s a supportive decision. You’ll never make in your life to simply tell a warlord, I’m a sinner, but I trust Jesus right now.

My only hope of heaven, believing his death and shed blood, was the only means by which I get into heaven, that his work is the finished work that I’m to believe on. believe on, and when I believe that Christ finished the work of my salvation at the cross was buried in rose again from the dead that God would save you. And you know, I pray that you would do that right now. I wouldn’t waste another minute. Once you trust the Lord, then you ought to choose to serve Him, not to be saved, but because you are.

And God will reward you and bless you for your faithful service, but were saved by a simple Trust in the finished work that Christ accomplished at the cross the work we talked about earlier in our program today We’re gonna be back tomorrow. It’s been great to be with you today. Thanks again for tuning in. We enjoy bringing the program to you, and I hope you enjoy as much as we do bringing it to you.

They’re listening to the program. We have some wonderful listeners, great questions, and the program just goes so quickly. It seems like we blink and it’s over, and a lot of our listeners tell us the same thing. They just say, wow, it just goes so quick, and I’m glad that you’re You’re enjoying it. Some tell us that they learn more in 30 days of Bibleline than they have in 30 years in their church. What is going on out there? How can that be?

Churches just sprinkle a couple of verses out there and never really explain them to you. You’re left in the dark all of your life and they just don’t spit it out. What does the Bible really say? That’s what we try to do here on Bibleline. We try to make it clear. We try to explain it. We try to shoot straight. We don’t always give an answer to this popular. Sometimes people get mad. They don’t like to hear what the Bible has to say.

But you know Jesus said, beware when all men speak well of you. So we know that when we’re going to tell what the Bible says, that it’s going to be like a two-edged sword with some, it’ll be received with joy and bring forth fruit in their life. And with others, it’ll be rejected and hated just as even Christ himself was received by by some and they loved him and adored him and received him as their savior and rejoiced in the salvation he provided.

But others rejected him and obviously wanted to kill him and of course that’s what happened when he went to the cross. It was a large group that said, crucify him, crucify him. They wanted to get rid of Jesus. Well we have fun being with you and I hope you enjoy the program. If you could help us during these lean summer months we are in August now and we could release your help. If you call and give a gift by credit card, it would sure be a blessing to us.

God bless you, Lord. I know you’ll be rewarded greatly. And also you can all call and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address on it and mail a gift in. But in any case, pray for us and keep looking up because Jesus is coming. I got to run, but we’ll be back tomorrow. Join me then.
