Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline Preach to Be With You today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor and we just look forward to being with you every day and how wonderful it is to be able to link up like we do.

I talked to a couple yesterday and they said that they listen every day as a couple. It’s wonderful we have a lot of people that tell us a plan their day even around Bible line and many that are out on the road. Try to catch as much of the program as they can when they’re in and out of their car or their truck or wherever they might be. God bless you all and thank you for tuning in to Bibleline today.

We’re on the internet right now. If you want to catch us on the internet streaming, go to BibleLineMinistries.org or and click on that spinning globe. You’ll get the radio, click on the TV, you’ll get the TV programs, click on the camera, and you’ll get our worship services and our Sunday’s worship from last Sunday is sitting there. You can watch that this Sunday. You can watch it from anywhere on the planet earth. We had some people listening from out there in the Pacific Ocean last Sunday watching the morning worship service.

That’s right, that’s amazing, isn’t it? And we’re amazed as well. you can watch between 11 and 12, click on the camera, and there’s a black screen right in the middle that will come alive between 11 and 12. Otherwise, it’s black all week long, but if you want to catch the previous sermons, go to the left, click on the archive button, and you’ll be connected to the sermons for the past six months. Take a look. I think you’ll enjoy that, and plus the many other things that we have there on our internet site.

By the way, just a word we are going to have have my baptism this Sunday. If you’re in driving distance and you don’t have someone to baptize you, don’t have a home church, you’re welcome to join us on me happy and delighted to baptize you. You know Christ gave a command for us. There are two ordinances that He’s left, water baptism which occurs once, but it’s after you’re saved. I was sprinkled as a baby, but That doesn’t count. Many people didn’t baptize by immersion, but before their salvation experience.

Baptism is always a testimony of how you have been cleansed of your sin by the blood of Christ, and therefore should take place after your saved. So if you’ve not been more baptized by immersion, since you’ve been saved, you ought to, as an act of obedience to Christ’s command. But it certainly doesn’t save you. is something that obviously God wants you to do and will bring blessing in your life as you obey Him.

This Sunday is also the third Sunday so we’re having a dinner so you can really make it a day. Call and get your name on the baptism list. Come at 1030, join us for the worship service. Stay for the dinner. Be my guest and then we’re going to kind of motorcade up a couple miles north of our church and we’ll be baptizing in a lake. It’s a beautiful scene and I love the outdoor baptisms It’s more like the biblical ones.

When Jesus was baptized in the Jordan, it was not inside a building. It would certainly be outdoors. Every year when I take trips to Israel, I always baptized some of our group that have not been baptized yet in the Jordan River. What an exciting experience that is. We hope maybe you might join us on our next trip. We’re talking about April next year. It would be great to have you. and you can call in and get on a prospect list, where we’ll keep you informed as to our developments.

And when we finally set the date and the itinerary, we’ll let you know. Anyway, this Sunday will be the 19th of August. We’ll have a baptism in three in the afternoon. You can call, we can send you a map correctly so you can just meet us at the site or you can come and join us for worship and then have lunch with us and then head on up to the baptism site. Last night we finished class nine and 10 in our John series And we hope that you might want to get that entire series when you get done.

And we’re having a lot of fun with the John series. That’s a great book and we’ll invite you to. We’re going to take a look at our Bibles right now and we find that in Isaiah chapter 30 there’s an interesting passage here that gives us some insight as to what is going on in our world today. You know the Bible tells us that the churches would depart from doctrinal soundness in the endays. In 2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 3 it says, the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine.

But after their own lust, they’ll heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears, and will turn away their ears from the truth and be turned unto fables, lies, fiction. That’s right. And boy, do we see that today. Very few people are into their Bible anymore. A lot of people are reading books about the Bible, but they’re not reading the Bible, and therefore they’re really getting confused because you need to read the Bible. The Bible is the word of God, and you don’t need to read so many books about the Bible, but you need to read the Bible.

If you do read a book about the Bible, you better make sure that you use the Bible as the authority and many times the books need to be corrected because only the Bible is the inspired word of God. Only the Bible is inerrant, infallible and you need to read everything through the lenses of Scripture. The cults get it wrong because they read the Bible through the lenses of their writings, their teachers. that Jehovah’s Witnesses will never get it right because they read the Bible through the lenses of the Watchtower Society.

They need to throw that away and just read the Bible. And even that Jehovah’s Witnesses admit that if a Jehovah’s Witnesses does not read the Watchtower letter, but only reads their Bible, they would become apostate, really what they would happen when they get saved, but they say that they would depart from the Witness Movement. They know the facts that you can’t let your cult members do that. You got to keep them bound up. So it is true with all of them.

The seven day Adventist read the Bible through the lenses of Ellen G. White Mary make already the Christian scientists. They read the Bible through her lenses and her books and on and on we go You’ve got to read the Bible for yourself and see what it says But let’s just take a look here in Isaiah chapter 30 and verse 1 it says whoa To the rebellious children judgment to the rebellious children say at the Lord that take counsel but not of me.

Take counsel, but not of me. And they cover with a covering, but not of my spirit that they may add sin to sin. Wow, here God tells what’s going on here. They listen to lots of different voices. And that’s exactly what we just quoted in 2 Timothy 4 and verse 3, that they would heap to themselves teachers having itching years. They wouldn’t have their ears tickled. Yes, they’re listening to counsel, but he says it’s not my counsel. They’re not listening to my word and they cover with a covering, but it’s a false veneer.

It’s not the covering of his spirit. And why do we see that today? God here in this wonderful chapter says to Isaiah, write this down so that people will remember this. And he’s writing it for your benefit and my benefit today, several thousands of years later. He says in verse 8. Now go and write it before them in a table and write it in a book and it says here that it may be for the time to come forever and ever.

So in other words, this was to be recorded for the time to come in the future and forever and ever. That this is what God’s advice is, don’t go to other sources. He says, come to me. But what happens? It says in verse 9 that this is a rebellious people lying children. It says that we will not hear the Word of God, the law of the Lord. They don’t want to listen to the Bible. They don’t want to follow the teachings of God’s Word.

Which say to the preachers, see not into the preachers prophesy or preach not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things. In other words, they just want to have their ears tickled. They say, don’t preach to us right things. And they say, preach to unto us smooth things. We want everything to flow smoothly. We want a good fuzzy feeling when we get done hearing you. And actually, they want to really, whether they realize they’re not, move Christ right out of their radar.

It says, get you out of the way. and the Holy One of Israel deceased from before us. The Holy One is Jesus and they don’t want Jesus really. And so they say, go out of the way, depart from what the Bible says to the preachers. And it says in verse 12, therefore, thus say, if the Holy One of Israel, this is what Jesus says in response, because you despise my word. Because you despise my word, this is Isaiah chapter 30, and trust and oppression and perversion and stay there on.

Therefore, this iniquity shall be viewed as a breach ready to fall. God says this is going to be like a high wall that has a breach in it that’s going to crash and fall down on you and break you in pieces. Interesting. God warns us about the departure that’s happening today. Very few are into the Bible anymore. It seems like Bible teaching churches are becoming a rarity and there are less and less of those. More and more entertainment, more and more drama, more and more everything but the word of God and obviously we need to get back into the Bible.

We’re living in the last days and we know that Christ is coming back and we believe very, very soon. Even the leadership of Israel today has fallen into this trap of departing away from God’s Word. Apparently, they’re going to be fooled by a false Christ that will come along. They’ll, as a nation, as the major part of them, actually miss Christ during the tribulation period, and the Bible says that when Christ returns that he will find a remnant, a large number of billions of believers that are Jewish, but for the most part the majority of Israel will perish in the tribulation period.

There is another holocaust coming according to the Bible. 9-10ths of the Jews around the world will be slaughtered. 2-thirds of the Jews in the state of Israel will be killed, and only one-third of those in Israel will remain to live into the Millennial Kingdom as the Bible warns that there will be this awful, awful judgment during the Tribulation period where the Jewish people will go through a time of great trouble. Well when Christ comes back, He’s going to come back to a rebuilt temple.

It says in Malachi 3.1, behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me and the Lord whom he seek shall suddenly come to his temple. What is the second coming, not the rapture? And right now there is no temple. So he can’t come at the second coming right now, and that’s why the rebuilding of the third temple is so significant. It has to take place, and it will take place, I believe, right after the rapture.

And then of course the Antichrist will first come and desecrate it, but then Christ will come suddenly to that temple and purify it. And it says here in Malachi chapter 3 and verse 2, who may abide in the day of his coming? And the answer is, only those that have believed on him, every unbeliever on the earth will be destroyed. And only those that have trusted Christ as Savior during that tribulation period will remain. Another great passage that talks about the Second Coming says in 2 Thessalonians 1-8 that Christ comes back at the Second Coming, not the Rapture, in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that no not God and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So those that have not believed on Christ as Savior will be caught with Christ coming back with a terrible vengeance, flaming fire and vengeance on those that do not obey the gospel. How do you obey the gospel? Well, by trusting Christ as your Savior, the gospel is, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. That really the word believe there means to trust. You have to trust on Christ as the only hope you have of reaching heaven based on the fact that he died and shed his blood to pay for your sin was buried in rose again from the dead.

Then it says in verse 9 of 2 Thessalonians chapter 1, Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power. It is an eternal separation in the eternal lake of fire, and these will be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord. a terrible punishment, but all unbelievers will be destroyed, all unbelievers will be cast into hell, all unbelievers will be excluded from the Millennium, and only believers will enter into that glorious Kingdom where Christ says there will be peace on earth, good will toward man.

I’m excited. I think the Rapture is next on the program. It could happen anytime. It could happen this year. Who knows? I don’t have a date, but I know this. It’s got to be getting closer as you look at the headlines you can tell. We are living in the last days. The Jews are back in the land of Israel for the first time in 2000 years. And look at the trouble they are going through now. Well it’s nothing compared to what’s coming up.

In Jeremiah 30 it says there’s a time called the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. That is the tribulation period. Jacob, of course, his name was changed to Israel. Jacob is the name of the Jews when they’re in unbelief. And the Jews in Israel today from the most part are in unbelief, and they’re going to go through a time of trouble, such as they have never seen in the past, nor will ever see again in the future. And I’m glad I’m leaving before that happens.

But that will be a time of purification where many will come to turn to the Lord and become saved. but the others that do not will be destroyed in flaming fire when Christ comes back and will cleanse out all unbelievers and leaving only believers behind to live in the millennial kingdom. I’m Dr. Innvincen from Mrs. Bibleline. We’re going to go to the phone lines in just a moment if you have your pencil there. You might jot down the number 1-800-576-3771 and we’re going to go across the state of Florida to these coast the Lakeworth Florida we have Tim on the line Tim welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air good morning Dr.

Heck I have two questions that are very closely related so I’ll ask them and then hang up and listen to the answer number one would be how do we or what scripture do we use to define what a Christian is that let’s say would eliminate some of those that may not really be Christians but call themselves Christians like Mormons or Christian scientists. That’s question number one two how does one actually become a Christian. Often times we talk about saying the sinner’s prayer but that really is not in the Bible.

So what do we do? What steps do we take to become saved? I’m gonna hang up. Thank you. All right well it’s really easy. All of those those that are false, even though they might claim to be Christian, are trusting in their works to get them to heaven. In other words, the word religion comes from two Latin words, re-enligio, and it means to do something of self to bind back to God. And all religions have that common denominator. The Bible is the opposite of religion.

The Bible is God doing for man what man could not do for himself, whereas religion is saying that man can do something of self to bind back to God. And guess what? There is the Christian religion that is just as wrong as any other world religion, but the common denominators that they all teach you that you have to live a certain way and do certain things to bind yourself back to God, to earn your way to heaven when the Bible says that we can do nothing, that we are helplessly lost, that we in our best righteous deeds are only offering up to God filthy rags.

We can do nothing to save ourselves that we need a Savior and that Jesus would be that Savior according to the Bible that would come and take on human flesh and down the cross of cowardice to pay for our sins. So basically you can really find that out real easily. What you have to do is ask the question, would you, if you were to die right now, go to heaven? you say assuredly, but out and out. And you’ll usually find the answer right there.

A lot of people say, well, I hope I will, or I think I will, or I guess I would, or I would like to, or I’m working at it, or I’m trying my best. Those are all wrong answers. The genuine believer ought to be, say, yes, I am going to heaven because I’m already saved. You get saved at the moment you believe or trust on Christ as your Savior, and you’re saved from that point on. That’s a great question to ask is, are you trusting Christ as the only means by which you are going to enter heaven?

Guess what? The cults will all say no. They clearly are indoctrinated in works to get them to heaven and they will say no because they are trusting in their works. They cannot say right now that they are going to heaven. It’s real simple. The Seventh Adventist example. You cannot get a Seventh Adventist to say right now. I know absolutely sure of going to heaven when I die. My sins are bought it out. There is no seven dead of us can say that because they believe that Christ is right now in the investigative judgment weighing our works in a scale and it’s not until after you die that you find out whether you were successful in doing enough good works to be able to earn grace and make your way into heaven.

So a seven deadness will say they believe in Christ but if you ask them are you trusting Christ and are you certain right now that your sins are brought about and you’re going to heaven? They can’t say yes because they are believing in a false doctrine the doctrine is taught by LNG White. There is no Jehovah’s Witness. They can say, yes, I’m absolutely certain this moment if I were to die and go to heaven. They can’t know because it’s all based on works and most every group you talk to that are false and are teaching works will fall into that category.

They’ll say, no, I’m not sure. I’m hoping I’m working at it, but that’s because they’re trusting in their works and they will not go to heaven. The genuine believer, just like David in 23rd Psalms said, I willed well in the house of the Lord forever. Why? As he said, I have the Lord as my shepherd. David trusted in Jesus the good shepherd that gave his life for the sheep. He describes the crucifixion in chapter 22 a thousand years before Christ comes, how that Christ would have his hands and his feet pierced, how they would gamble for his cloak at the foot of the cross.

In verse 18 of Psalm 22, in chapter 23 of the Psalms, he said the Lord is my shepherd. he trusted Christ as his shepherd, and therefore he said, I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Throughout the Bible you can absolutely know. Job said it. Job 19, 25, he said, I know that my redeemer liveth. And though, and says at the last day that he’ll stand on the earth, he knew about the second coming where Christ likes to be brutally on the earth, standing on the earth.

And he says, go the worms, destroy this body. flesh body that he was living in when he said these words, he says, yet in my new body, my flesh, will I see God face to face. Job knew he would see the Lord, he would be in a new body, he would be present with the Lord and that the Lord Jesus was his redeemer and would come at a second coming to actually stand on the earth and rule over the earth.

And we could quote the whole Bible saying, you can actually know, you can know, you You can know, you can know, and you can know because it’s all paid for. And that’s the difference. How do you become a Christian? By simply trusting Christ. It’s that simple. And do you have to say a prayer? No. Do you have to walk and out? No. Do you have to join the church? No. None of those things are part of salvation. You simply trust Christ.

In John 524, he says that the instant you believe you possess eternal life, you’ll be promised from that moment on you’ll never be condemned. You’ll never come into condemnation. But thirdly, you’re passed from death into life. A new birth takes place. You become a child of God. At the instant you trust Christ and you’re saved from that moment on forever. I was 18 when I trusted Christ. I received eternal life at that moment and I still possess it to this day and will forever, forever, forever because it’s eternal life that Christ gave me at the moment I believe.

I hope that helps Tim and we do thank you for calling. Are you still there? I think Tim is hanging up so we sure do invite you to call here at 1-800-576-3771. We have a caller from Arizona, from Fountain Hills, Arizona, Says Christ died for our sins. That’s true. We must accept it. That’s true There’s a responsibility to live the Christian life. That’s true and We’re to love one another as Christ very clearly mandated. That’s true feed the poor Yes care for the naked and so on and so on One cannot just say accept Jesus as my Savior then just live like an animal Use reason well So here’s where we would disagree.

The Bible teaches that once you become saved, you are saved forever. You know, it’s just like what happened when I was born into my parents’ household. I was their son, whether I was obedient or whether I was disobedient. It really didn’t change anything. I was as far as being their son. I was their son. Well, it did change everything in the way of our intimacy, and it did change how they treated me. I know this, that if I was obedient, I usually got a little raised in my allowance as a little boy, and I got privileges maybe on the weekend or got to stay up a little bit later at night, different things like that that I could do.

I could watch my favorite television program. But you know, when I was disobedient, those privileges were taken away many times and I was restricted and my allowance got reduced and I was in trouble. But you know, I was still their son. I never ever was disowned. And God says that he will never cast you out, John 637. He would never lose you, John 639. In Hebrews 13.5, he said he would never leave you nor forsake you. should become Savior, Savior.

So if you live like an animal, God will thank you. And He might even take you home to heaven early. The Bible talks about many, many Christians that God took out of his life before they should have died, but yet they’re still saved. And they’re saved forever once they trust the Lord Jesus as their Savior. So thank you for writing that in. The answer is that you should live for Christ after you become saved, just like you ought to be obedient as a child and a family that you’re born and raised in, but you will still be able to live in the same way as you are.

be their child just the same as you will be God’s child forever once you trust Christ you are born again you can never become unborn. Thanks for calling in and we have a lot of callers here that want to get on the air with us and we are coming up hard and fast on break. Let me just remind you again that this Sunday if you are in driving distance can come and worship with us and if you need to be baptized we will be glad to baptize you.

If you live anywhere else in the world, you can still join our worship service on the Internet by clicking on the camera on the home page. And we hope that you will. You don’t have to do it on Sunday morning live if you would like to. But you can go there anytime during the week. You could go there right now and watch this past Sunday’s sermon. It’s sitting there as well as about six months of sermons from the past.

So check that out and give us a call and we’ll get you up on the air during the second half hours we’re going to take a break right now and we’re going to come right back so this is a good time to call us at 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to take a break, we’ll be right back, keep you ready right where it is. The way Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well I’m Dr.

Englinschroom and this is Bibleline and it’s wonderful to be able to be with you again. And it’s wonderful to get to meet and hear from so many of you. And we appreciate your calls, your notes, your letters. And we thank God for every one of you that are listening to Bibleline. We get notes and emails from all over the world, really, from India, from Africa, from Europe and so on, as people are able to catch our program. It’s amazing what the internet has done and how we can really connect everywhere.

If you have friends or family in other countries, could you let them know about the Bibleline website and how they can catch our programs, our television, our radio, our worship services and also about the many other resources that are on there that they can connect up with. We have people who have ordered things from our resource center from different countries in Africa, and other parts of the world. It’s exciting. And of course we have listeners in Europe, all over Europe, and we hope that the Lord will continue to open up those doors.

You can help us by telling your friends and maybe your family and and those that live in other parts of the United States as well, about the Bible Eye and Program. We are in the month of August. We are supported, of course, totally by our listeners. We have no other means of support. We don’t have any pledges. We don’t have any subscribers. We don’t have any individuals underwriting this program. We need basically our listeners to help us. your gift during these lean summer months would be greatly appreciated.

You can give a gift by credit card over the phone to Buyable Line. That would really be helpful here in this month of August. And you can also name like gift in. You can write down the address or call in and have us send you an envelope with the address on it. We certainly hope that you would to pray for us and if you can, give a gift to my mind during this month of August that would really help us out.

Take advantage of the Internet because there you can learn a lot about us, you can connect up with all the things that we are streaming and sending out there and we hope that you will and we hope that you’ll tell your friends and help us grow the audience and we hope that we can reach as many as we possibly can in this world before we leave because we believe time is running out. We’re about ready to rejoin the stations that have been on break into the second half of Bible.

And so if you would keep your radio tuned right where it is and join us now for a second half hour of Bible and we’re going to join the stations right now. So stay tuned for Bible and Part 2. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re back to my break and this is Bibleline and we are coming to you live from our studios here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor.

and we really truly look forward to being with you every day and we just have been given some real wonderful notes of encouragement from different people that that write in or call in and tell us how much pipeline that means them that means a lot to us and we appreciate your notes of encouragement we’d like to hear from you folks up there in the panhandle in Pensacola that area Mobile, Alabama that area And let us know you’re listening. We haven’t heard from many of you lately.

So we’d like to know that you are listening. Call if you just want us to say the operator. I’m listening and I’m telling you where I’m calling in from, where you’re listening with station. That would help us. We’re concerned that, and maybe we have a great audience in that area, but they’re not calling in. So we want to hear from some of you. of you, up in that Pensacola Mobile Alabama area in the Panhandle of Florida. And if we’re related here from all of you, wherever you might be listening from, we get calls usually around the clock here, people calling in from all over, but we want to make sure that we have people that are listening and appreciate the program, and if you are listening and enjoying call us and tell us that you are, because that helps us get a reading on where we’re doing our best to reach out and effectively help people.

Well, we just got a call from Brian in Pensacola and he says that he is telling others about the program and that’s great. So praise the Lord, I wanted to hear that. And so if you are listening and telling others, some people will never call a radio station, We really kind of judge whether we’re being affected by hearing from some of you, even if you don’t get on the air. In any case, this is the third Sunday coming up and we wanted to say that we are having a baptism.

We have a lot of people that tell us they don’t have a church home. They would like to be obedient to the Lord and be baptized, but I don’t have anyone that they would really feel comfortable having them baptized. I would be delighted to do that. You can join us this Sunday and at three o’clock we’ll have a baptism. for information or just get your name on the list and we’ll invite you to be a part of our group that will be baptizing.

And I think you’ll find a very, very wonderful experience as we believe it’s something I believe you ought to do, not to be saved, but it’s testimony of the fact that we’ve been cleansed of our sin by the blood of Christ. Water can never wash away your sin. We could anchor you out in the Atlantic Ocean for years and it wouldn’t take away one sin. The blood of Christ will completely cleanse you from all of your sins and the water of water baptism is symbolic of the cleansing that occurs when you trust Jesus.

If you have not been water baptized, we would certainly like to encourage you to do it. If you are within driving this instance and you would like to have us do it, we can do it this Sunday. It is a dinner Sunday so you can make it a day. Join us for worship, stay for dinner and then head up to the baptism, whether it is about three o’clock in the afternoon this Sunday. We’re in the Gospel of John and we still have classes next week.

You’re invited if you’re in driving business to sit in those but again you can call and find out how to get that up on the internet as well. Let’s go to the phone lines. I’m Dr. Englund, this is Bible and the phone number is 1-800-576-3771. We have Sharon in St. Petersburg, Florida. Sharon, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Okay. I share and you’re on the air. Hi there. I was advised that all these prophecy books they have out today and that those women on the news that drowned their children and said she had to mark 666 on her forehead.

And I’m coming to the conclusion that a lot of those books are driving people the other way and away from grace and the cross. My landlord has every book, no one. All he talks about is the Antichrist, the Devil’s. I had to move. He just freaked me out so much. If you could call me on that because I think there’s a lot of deception in those books today. Thank you. All right. Well, thank you for calling. You need to have balance even if you have the truth, but a lot of the books are not true and obviously present a wrong position.

The reason why we have prophecy. 1. Comfort the believer. I know what’s going to happen in the future. I know Christ is coming back. He’s going to set up a kingdom of peace on earth. Good will toward men. And so as I look out at the news and I see all the horrible things like you just mentioned happening. It’s kind of a frightening world today, but I know that at the end of that there’s a bright future. Christ is going to bring peace on earth.

Good will toward men and the nations will learn war. nobody’s going to walk the war, nobody’s going to shoot one somebody else. That’s really great news. But God wants us to be able to take that information and be comforted to know that he’s in charge. What happens after death and so on and so on. But a lot of books on prophecy are not correct. That’s why you have to be very careful what you read. The Bible is the best book and you need to stay in the Bible and you’ll find that one-third of the Bible really is prophecy.

It tells the whole history of the nation of Israel for the past 4,000 years, never misses right on target. We can see exactly what God said in the Old Testament about Israel over the past 2,000 years and it’s happened absolutely very literally. In fact, there’s a prophecy in Ezekiel that tells us even that Israel would become a nation again in 1948 and it’s just enough to take the hair stand up straight up on your arms to the fact that the Bible can nail these things down thousands of years in advance.

So I love prophecy but I think you have to be balanced. Obviously we can’t talk just about prophecy but again it’s an evidence why the Bible is true. So when you’re witnessing you can point out the accurate prophecies of the past, how they been fulfilled and God says in the Old Testament, I have told you these things before they come to pass so that when they come to pass you will know that they are true. And lest you should say, well, this group or that group or the other group is right or even that you are on the pinion is right, it is God’s word that we have to appeal to.

And so in Isaiah 48 God says that he knew we were stubborn, obstinate, and hard to be convinced. So God can tell you the future before it happens in you have to recognize that that that’s an evidence that the God is the author of the Bible. Just like I mentioned a little bit earlier, where David in the 22nd Psalm, a thousand years before Christ ever comes, predicts that his hands and his feet would be pierced. That’s how he would die.

That was crucifixion. And it was a thousand years before Christ ever came. And the fact that they would gamble for his cloak at the foot of the cross, all those things are predicted. There’s about 330 prophecies of just the first coming of Christ. And it’s exciting. So you have to be careful, and you have to be astute, and certain people just are in balance. They just get hung up on something, and that’s all we talk about. And certainly we need to be more balanced in reading the whole Bible, and realizing the purpose of prophecy in the Bible.

It’s not so that we can run around and tell everybody the future, but more for our own personal comfort. And for confirmation that the Bible’s word of God, and that we have the true word and the Jesus Christ is indeed the only Savior of the Messiah that would come into the world. Thank you so much, Sharon, and we have now Bill in Tampa. Bill, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Hello? Yeah, Bill. Oh, uh-huh. Hey. Yeah, you’re on the air.

Good to know that, uh, would you turn to Roman and verses and kind of let me know what What you think about that? All right. I’m turning you right now. Romans 8 and verse 12 we say and 13 therefore brethren We are debtors not to the flesh to live after the flesh For if you live after the flesh you shall die Well, that’s right and that is a physical death. I have buried a lot of people that died too young from alcohol I buried one guy 30 years of age and he was taking a fifth a day and and he just dropped dead.

Two young, handsome young men, and he’s dead. I’ve buried people from overdoses of heroin and other drugs. Two young, in their 20s, shouldn’t have never happened. And I’ve buried a lot of people that died of AIDS. Two young, in their 20s. And why? It was because they were living after the flesh. And if you live to satisfy your flesh with drugs or other sexual sins, you might get AIDS, you might die, you might die of an overdose or something else.

So definitely this is talking about a warning that as a believer we ought to choose to live with the Lord and follow the Scriptures and if you don’t, you’ll pay a prize for it. I have witnessed the people that were fairly young and they looked old. They looked like they were really old and the told that alcohol took on their bodies. They just looked weathered and beaten and aged and wrinkled and it was because of their lifestyle. Okay, I was thinking it was meaning that you had drift away so far from God that No, it’s not talking about that at all talking about that The physical death is gonna be the result of you’re living after the flesh and Certainly if you disobey the rules you might die early Okay, I appreciate you calling that up for me.

Okay, Bill. That was Bill in Tampa, Florida. We now have Jim and Paul Meadow Florida and Let’s see here What line Jim is on here and Get this thing right in just a second here. We have Jim are Jim you’re on the air Yeah, Jeff. Yeah, okay, Jeff. You’re on the air. Oh Hey, I wanted to talk to you for Danny the book of Genesis. Yeah sure and You know Moses wrote that right. That is great. He’s the human writer God is the author And I mean Moses spent 40 days with God on top of the mountain, right?

That was great. And God, I mean, he, I imagine, he, and the beginnings, I’m sure it was one of those questions. That’s the oldest question, a man kind. And so Moses wrote it the way he did, you know, that God created in six days, the evening and the morning was day one and so on and so forth through the sixth day. And in the Hebrew that when they say evening and morning they mean an actual when it’s written like that It means an actual 24-hour period.

That is correct So and that’s the way Moses wrote it. So I don’t know why we can’t believe it. Just the way Moses wrote it and why we have to come up with an answer to man’s wisdom as as to the beginnings of the Earth for two men, to the scientists to show, like, say, the dinosaurs or anything else. Well, I agree with you, but I think the Bible is really in Genesis 1-1 talking about an original creation where the Earth was created along with the universe, and that Earth then became judged and destroyed in verse 2.

And then the seven days were not a creation of the earth. The word created is not used in the six days except for the creation of animal life that had been destroyed in that judgment and the creation of man as the one that would be the head over the earth during that this time in which you’re now living. But the word created is used very sparingly, three times, just in verse 1 of the creation of the universe and then of the creation of animal life that breathed air that has been destroyed by the judgment of verse 2 in the creation of man, otherwise the word created is not used.

So I believe that we probably have an old earth but a very young history with men that the seven days really were re-establishing of the earth to have life again and it was It was 24-hour days, absolutely. And I believe that literally. Well, with all our modern technology that we have today, they have pretty much… Pretty much blown large holes in the theory of evolution. Oh, of course. With the discovery of the DNA in ourselves, I mean even Darwin’s own writings say that if anybody could prove that the single cell was anything more than like a nucleus in of liquid, I mean he has like a 300 power telescope and we have like 10,000 power microscopes now.

We know it’s just, there’s no way that that was an accident through time, chance and mutation. Anyway, I mean it’s to read in to any other thing other than that. I don’t see where it fills up the bleeder because then that just kind of between one and You Then are there any other gaps in the Bible? I think there are and I think they’re usually spelled out. In the Old Testament prophets they talked about the first coming and the second coming and they didn’t really tell you how long a gaptor would be between the two.

And Peter talks about that and how they prophets searched diligently to figure out what was going on there between the first and the second coming. He would come the first time as a suffering Messiah and the second time as a king ruling over the earth. But God did not choose to reveal the length of that gap until after he had been rejected and how he unveiled in the church age, which is the age we’re living in now, where God has turned to us, Gentiles, and the length of that period is approximately 2,000 years, and we can go back and see that that gap is there.

There are different gaps, and obviously that’s a big gap between the first and the second coming. There’s a gap between the rapture and the second coming, coming and so on. I think we just need to be careful students and I believe that QUE signs and the Bible will be in agreement. For example, the Bible taught the earth was round thousands of years ago, but it took till Columbus and about 500 years ago that to discover what the Bible had already said, most people believe the earth was flat, but the Bible taught it was round.

And also the Bible didn’t Jeremiah 10-12 tells us that God created the universe out of His energy and Einstein was 3000 years late telling us what the Bible said and Eventually science catches up And like he just mentioned DNA I read something rather recently where they did DNA on Chromagnaman and founders absolutely no connection between chromagnaman and any apes or animals or or You know monkeys that there is no evolution that he was fully a man And so DNA is really going to work on our behalf here to show that evolution is certainly not true.

Yeah, well, I know Paul said that we only know and part and he was actually and he came back and said We only know and part and we see through a glass dark. Well, there sure is and We thank you for calling Jim Okay, thank you. All right Jim and and we don’t have to be afraid of what man discovers The Bible is true and eventually God’s word will be vindicated as we found in the examples I gave you the Bible always taught the earth of round and it took man a long time to come to the same conclusion.

So science usually is dragging behind the Bible. I hope that helps you feel better. Let’s go to Chris in Lakeland, Florida and Chris welcome to Bible in your on the air. Hey Pastor, hey Chris from Lakeland. and I started listening to your show back when it was a half hour show. My goodness, look at that. Came and seen you, visited your church, visited the resource center several times. That’s how I got the question. I got saved through your radio program in a half hour.

So I got saved in the church we were attending which was a free release and doctrine until after I was baptized in their church and then, you know, being saved through your program and then really study in scripture and find it out, you know, hey, what’s God saves me? I’m saved forever. My question is by being baptized in that type of church who teaches works basically to be saved, would that baptism actually count? I mean, reason I’m asking, and I was baptized believing that I was saved, but not saved through their methods, but by what Christ done.

So does that baptism count? Well, I believe that if you were not saved at that time, definitely it doesn’t count, but obviously you have to ask yourself, what were you giving testimony to? If you’re giving testimony to a wrong message, you’re not really experiencing what bad physical should be about. It’s really a proclamation that I am saved by grace through faith and what Christ did for me at the cross. It was His blood that washed away my sin, and I’m now going to live in the newness of life that I’ve discovered through the new birth and trusting Christ.

So I think a lot of people’s baptisms really weren’t biblical baptisms because in New Testament it’s always a beautiful confession of faith in what Christ has done and a proclamation to tell people about it. I’ve been wondering about that for the past few years and really confused. I was baptized prior to learning what salvation is truly about the radio program. That kind of answers my question. I guess I was… I think you need to get baptized again. We have one lady that’s been baptized about four times, and now she’s gotten saved, and she says she’s getting baptized this Sunday.

I think that’s wonderful. So she says this will be finally the right one where I’m understanding why I’m being baptized and giving testimony to my faith in Christ. So we applaud her for her courage to go and get baptized again after four times, but this time the right way. Well, I think the answer is my question and I thank you Pastor Hank and you know just praying that the Lord keeps you on the air until he comes and what that our listeners will continue to support you as I do and many others not.

Just thank you and love you Thank you, thank you, Chris, and God bless you, and now you get baptized. Water baptism, I was sprinkled as an infant, of course I didn’t count. I had to, when I trusted Christ, I understood what it said, and I definitely got baptized by immersion as a testimony of the fact that I was cleansed with my sin but a but of Christ, and everybody really ought to do that, and we encouraged that. So thank you Chris.

Let’s go ahead and take a look at a couple of off-air as we haven’t been able to get to them I’m gonna go here Joe in Jackson’s Pacific calls in he says the Bible literary project teaches academic study of the Bible in public schools is secular studied the Bible okay in public schools I believe that they do allow that and I really Wonder how much good is being done now usually they’re caught by unsaved teachers who probably put a negative slant on it.

So I wonder sometimes if they don’t do more damage than good. So I have a thought the fact that the Bible should be able to be taught in the school, but usually it’s done in such a way that it’s really, like you say, a secular study of the Bible and taught by teachers who take on the assignment, but they don’t know the word and you wonder what is being accomplished. I don’t necessarily jump up and get excited. I used to be, thank God, before the Bible got kicked out of the schools, I was in the schools and had a powerful witness in the schools being able to share the gospel of Christ and led many thousands of teenagers to Christ in those days.

But those days are pretty much shut down and this is the attempt to sneak the Bible back in, but I’m afraid that it usually, you don’t have a Christian teaching it. You don’t have, obviously, somebody putting it out in a positive way. So I don’t know. I certainly hope that good is being accomplished by that. We have John in Sarasota, he says, please explain, first Lesalonians 1-4. This is a question about election. And I’m turning First Thessalonians chapter 1 in verse 4 says, and I’m almost there, it says here, knowing, brethren, beloved, your election of God.

Well every believer is elected, so that’s the bottom line of the mystery here, and you should know that you’ve been elected. The Bible here it is in John 3 16 for God’s to love the world. That’s every human being that’s ever lived. He gave his only begotten son that’s Jesus Christ died for all of us. That whosoever believeth, here’s God’s election. He elected that whosoever would believe in Christ would not perish but have everlasting life. So if you believe then you are obviously one that he has elected.

But also, the one that does not believe is not elected to go to heaven. You can take that verse and notice that the negative side is there, that if you don’t believe in Christ, you will perish and you will not have everlasting life. So God is elected to save all that would believe. The old Moody said it so simply. He said, the whosoever wills are the elect, the whosoever wants are the non-elect. So if you’re a believer, then you’re elected.

God has elected to save all that would believe on Christ. So if you have believed on Christ as your savior, God has elected you to be saved. I hope that helps you. We have Robert in Venice, Florida. Robert, welcome to Bibleline Your On The Earth. Hi. Yes. I have a question about a change of mind or being born again. And I would like to know that… Is it kind of a slow process because it’s that the change your ways takes a while could you elaborate on that please?

All right, it’s not a changing of your ways, but you change your mind from whatever you’re previously trusting in Usually works to trusting in Christ and you shed blood as the means of your salvation The Christian life is a second decision on your part to choose to serve the Lord but to be saved Biblical repentance means a change of mind and it’s usually about how am I going to be saved. I was taught that I had to be saved by my works.

I changed my mind when I saw the scripture and I trusted Christ to save me alone, Christ alone. And so that is the Biblical repentance. I’m out of time or I’m thinking more time on this. It’s a great question. Come at me again tomorrow and we’ll go at it further. But again, thank you for tuning in today. Don’t forget to tune us in in tomorrow. Don’t forget to check out our internet site BibleLineMinistries.org.com. If you can help Bibleline, send us a gift by mail or call in and give one by credit card.

And God bless you. Have a great day. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming and we look forward to being with you again tomorrow. And I hope you’ll tune us in tomorrow when we come on the air. God bless. Have a great day. Keep looking up. Jesus is coming. You’ve been listening to Bibleline, a presentation of Bibleline Ministries of Tampa, Florida. It’s been wonderful to be with you today. It’s Wednesday and thank you for tuning into the Bibleline program. Don’t forget you can catch this program again and again. You can actually order a copy of it if you’d like. We can produce that on the CD and ship it out to you. But also you can go to the internet and catch these programs again and again.

And that’s for free. And many people, of course, download them and use them in their MP3 player. I have one fellow that wrote me from Venice, Florida, and he says, I have two MP3 players that I use for Bible and radio with 50 or more radio shows downloaded on them. The problem I’m having is going back and trying to find a particular show again because it doesn’t display the scrolling. And so we’re going to try to correct that so you can have that on there.

It will be something we can do easily, I think. And you’ll be able to go back and find a particular show easily after you’ve downloaded it into your player. So thank you for that comment. And we appreciate all of our listeners and all those that are learning from Bibleline every day and we’re flattered that God is using us in such a way to impact people’s lives for the gospel of Jesus Christ. We just got word from one of our fellows that was over in Japan as a missionary, how that he met with many other missionaries and the tracks that they were using were using a wrong presentation of the gospel and they have now decided to abandon those tracks and use clear gospel tracks in evangelism in Japan.

That’s all because of Bible on my friend and we’re excited about how God is working around the world through this ministry that we have here on the radio. Play for us and if you can help us in the summer months that would be great cause and we’ve got to run. Looking up Jesus is coming. We’ll join you again tomorrow. I hope you’ll be listening and we come back on the air. God bless. Have a great day. Keep looking up.
