We’re amazed at how many people are catching those things. In fact, we had a soldier here in Church Sunday and he told us that he and about 10 other guys in Afghanistan, in Afghanistan would watch our worship services here on our BibleLineMinistries.org website. They got amazing. Every Sunday they said that got them through those difficult days, being able to watch those on Sunday and then also during the week. And yesterday we got a call from Fort Benning, Georgia. And their soldier told me that, hey, in his barracks they were gathered around his laptop, they were watching the Sunday service this past Sunday.
We’re excited about that. You can tell your friends, your missionaries, your relatives and other countries anywhere in the world. We have 151 countries that have logged on and this is exciting. We hope that you will take advantage of that GoodR website, BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. And click on that camera. If you do it at 11 o’clock Sunday morning, you’ll get the live service. But if you do it during the week, we have over a year’s worth of sermons sitting there, audio and video for you to watch and enjoy.
So take advantage. We also are coming up hard and fast on Thanksgiving. This Sunday will be our third Sunday dinner, but it’s going to be a Thanksgiving celebration service at 10.30. And then a Thanksgiving celebration dinner right afterward. We’re going to have all kinds of turkey, dressing, gravy. Oh, oh my goodness. I’m already thinking about that food. It’s going to be great. We invite you to come. Bring your Bible, bring your family, be our guest, come at 1030, join the service, and then stay for the wonderful dinner afterward.
If you are driving in distance, this would be a great day to make it a day and celebrate Thanksgiving with us here at Bible and Headquarters at the Calprecubinity Church. We’re right next to the Tampa Airport. If you go to my website, BibleLineMinistries.org, and go to the page on how to find this, just type in your address and hit go because we’ve already got it set up so that our address is there. And it will give you a map and give you pinpoint directions on how to find Bible-lined headquarters.
And of course, join us for this coming Sunday’s Thanksgiving celebration dinner. We hope you’ll come. Would you do that? And also we’re going to Israel, February 25th, leaving on a Monday, coming back March 7th. That’s a Friday. It will be 12 full days in Israel and we invite you to come along with us. We should have brochures pretty shortly. We’d like to have you call and get your name on the list so that we can get in touch with you and get a brochure in your hand as quickly as possible.
We’re going to have a wonderful trip and we’d like to have you on board with us. Israel and will leave on the 25th of February coming back March 7th. Leave you on a Monday coming back on a Friday. If you have your Bible, please get it out. We’ll talk about the scriptures for a little bit. And then we’ll of course take our live callers today. Our number here is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. By the way, a lot of people really get confused.
I had a caller yesterday from Michigan. His name is Dale and he called in from Flint, Michigan and he said, what if somebody gets on the train to heaven, Jesus being the train or the way, and then the train is continually gathering people onto it on the trip to heaven as it stops at different towns and villages and when people are getting on, can’t some people get off and so on and therefore can’t somebody who becomes a believer be lost because they can get off of the train.
That was an interesting question and a lot of people I think feel that way. I was raised to believe that myself because I would hear the passage in Matthew 7 and I’m turning there now, where it says, inter ye at the straight gate, for why does the gate brought us the way that leads to destruction and many go in there at? Because straight as the gate, a narrow is the way which leads us to life and few there be that find it.
I was always led to believe that it was like walking a tightrope, that you got on it one end and if you kept your balance and you stayed on the tightrope and you didn’t fall off that if you made it successfully to the other side, then you made heaven. Other pictures I had was there was a road that if you got on that road and stayed on that road and were faithfully on that road until you died that you would make heaven.
Of course, all these illustrations are wrong. As I talked to this young man, I told him the problem is you can’t get off the train. Don’t you trust Christ? You are saved forever. Salvation is not a progress, rather a process. It’s not a continuance. It is something that is received at the moment you believe by an act of faith. Let me give you a great verse. You ought to write this down because this will come up again and again.
And most people think that you start off and then you keep on the way or on the road or on the tightrope and you keep on keeping on like this gentleman said on the train. And then at some point you can fall off the road or fall off the tightrope or get off the train and then therefore not be saved at all. But look if you will at John 524. Jesus said, barely, barely, I say unto you, he’s that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me.
There are three things here that Christ says that happen at the moment of belief. Are you ready for this? This is a great verse, John 524. If you believe on Christ, Jesus says this is his own words, verily, verily or truthfully, truthfully, I say unto you. If you believe on Christ, number one, he says you have everlasting life. What is a misconception by so many is that you wait till after you die to find out whether you get eternal life or not.
And that’s not the case at all. Eternal life is something that’s received at the moment you believe and possessed forever thereafter. Even John 3 16 makes that very clear that whosoever believeth in Christ should not perish but have. H-A-V-E have a present tense verb. You receive eternal life at the moment you believe and if it’s everlasting you possess it forever thereafter. Let me ask you the hard questions. If you have everlasting life right now, according to the Bible, if you trust Christ as your only hope of heaven, right now you possess you have everlasting life.
Okay, if you have everlasting life right now, what kind of life will you have tomorrow? That’s right, it’s everlasting life. Some of you are a little bit slow on that. If you have everlasting life right now, what kind of life will you have a week from now? Okay, pretty good. More of you are coming on board here. everlasting life. If you have everlasting life right now, what kind of life will you have a hundred years from now? Okay, very good.
You have everlasting life. What about a million years from now? Well, there you go. It’s everlasting life. If you have everlasting life today, it’ll be everlasting life tomorrow It’ll be everlasting and if next week next year and a hundred and a million years from now my friend once you have eternal life You are going to heaven. Whether you like it or not Learn to live with it. My goodness secondly here in John 524. I hope you’re watching In your Bible at the verse John 524 says secondly You shall not come into condemnation shall not come into condemnation shall not come into condemnation My friend you need to mark that and you could put in the margin of your Bible.
You’ll never go to hell You shall not that use your future promise from God that you’ll never be condemned You got that once you trust Christ. You will never be condemned once you trust Christ you’ll never come into condemnation. Now earlier in John’s Gospel in chapter 3, verse 18 it says, He to believeth on Christ is not condemned. That means is not right now presently and the tense and the Greek is such that it’s not only not right for right now but forever.
You’ll never be condemned. And then it goes on to say, but He to believeth not is condemned already. The one who is an unbeliever comes into condemnation. In fact, is already condemned because he is in unbelief. But once you trust Christ, you are not condemned and will never come into condemnation. Isn’t that wonderful? That is certainly good news. And then lastly, here’s the third thing. This is a jewel. John 524 is where we are in our Bibles. But thirdly, it says, is past from death unto life.
Thirdly, you’re past from death unto life. Notice salvation happens at an instant, at the second you trust Christ. In that twinkling of an eye, at the moment you trust Christ, three things happen, you have eternal life from that moment on. Number two, you promise you’ll never come into condemnation. Thirdly, it says here that you are passed from death unto life. So salvation is not a process. It’s not something that you maintain. That’s something that you have to continue at.
It’s not like getting on the train and say, I can’t get off the train. I can’t get off the train. I can’t get off the train. Well, you can’t get off the train because you can’t get off the train because God won’t let you. Once you become saved, you have eternal life. You’ll never come into condemnation and you’re passed from death until life. A lot of times illustrations can mess us up and we need to listen to the clear word of God.
When you go to John 6 it becomes so clear. In verse 37 Jesus said, Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast down. That means for no reason, none in a circumstance would ever cast you out. I’ve had a couple people that are kind of clever in their own minds I guess and they say well okay okay okay. I see it. You said it. You showed it to me. John 637 Christ will cast me out. Okay, he won’t cast me out.
But I can cast myself out. If I don’t want it anymore, I can give it back. Can’t I? And the answer is no. Once you become saved, you can’t even give it back. John 639, look at it, your Bible. Jesus said, this is the Father’s will which has sent me. that of all which have given me I should lose none. He didn’t say I’d lose the first dozen or the first one hundred or the first six. He said I’d lose none.
You know, if it’s said in that verse that he would lose one person, all of my life and have to worry, maybe I’m the one he’s going to lose. Oh, oh, oh, oh, maybe I’m going to be lost. I don’t have to worry about that. Once I trust Christ, the Bible says that he keeps me safe. He keeps me safe. And I possess eternal life. I’ll never come into condemnation. And thirdly, I’ve been passed from death and the life.
And he says that he would not lose me. Not one person would ever be lost. It’s amazing to me that people just don’t want to believe what God said. They want to stay with their own little, wrong idea or theory that contradicts the Bible over what Christ said. These are the words of Jesus. Jesus is God. In John 5.24 he says, very rarely I say to you, He did hear my word. Are you listening to the words of Christ?
This is what Jesus said. And He’s God. And He can’t lie. And this is exactly the way it’s going to come down. When you trust Christ, you become saved forever. A lot of people don’t realize that if they attempt to be saved by Jesus plus things that they do or do not do, they won’t be saved at all. That is scary. How much poison does it take to kill you? It doesn’t take a lot, does it? Well, the Bible tells us that when God offers His grace, if you add any work at all to that grace, you’ve poisoned it.
It’s no longer grace. And you won’t be standing before God in grace or mercy, but you’ll stand before God naked before Him in your works, which are filthy rags, and you won’t be admitted into heaven. He scares me for people. There are people who say, I believe in Jesus. Well, what do you have to do to go to heaven? Well, you have to be water baptized. You have to keep the commandments. You have to go to church and all along on.
And my goodness, if you add one thing of self, you have made void. God’s offer of salvation and you will not be saved. You have to say like the dying thief, Lord, I simply trust in you. Christ said today, that I shall be with me in paradise. He was saved on the spot, not based upon anything that he did or would do. He was dying, and he simply trusted Christ, and God saved him eternally. My friend, I hope you’re saved.
I’m pleading with you for your own soul. I’m saved. Nothing you do will ever affect my salvation. It’s already established. I trusted Christ at 18. I pray for your soul that you would realize that you need to pay attention to what God has said and trust Jesus alone as Savior. Then yes, if you serve the Lord after you are saved, you will earn rewards in heaven, but our works have nothing zero to do with our salvation. I’m not trying to convince you this is my blind line.
It’s Tuesday, we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, and we look forward to being with you each and every day. And I hope you’ll tune us in. And I just talked to a gentleman that came by a moment ago before the radio show, and he said that he likes to wind down every evening by going to the website and listening to the program in the evening after he’s had dinner and taking care of business. He likes to sit down and listen to the program and it winds him down.
Closing out his day with the scripture and the questions that are asked and the answers he learns he said every day. Isn’t that wonderful? And so maybe you might want to try that. Go to the website Bibleline Ministries and you can take a look there. Maybe at a convenient time during the day or in the evening and we hope that you’ll do that. would be great. Well listen, we’re going to go to the phone lines here, we’ve got all of our lines lighted up and we hope that you will give us a call if you have a question and we’ll go right to them now.
We have Jack in Auburndale, Florida and Jack, welcome to Bimline You are on the air. Good morning. Hey, how are you doing brother? Good. Good. Listen, I was fishing to you at the very beginning when you were saying about your services that you have on Sunday. Well, a few years back I was privileged to be able to come to your church and listen to your sermons there. I had this in mind for the longest time and I thought maybe I’d bring it up to you now.
I was wondering if it wouldn’t be a great idea to have your church services broadcast on this program on Sunday for the people that don’t have a computer to watch you and listen to you? Well, you know, that’s a great idea and since you’re in our listening area here in the Tampa Bay area, we could probably do that on the weekend. That’s a great idea. We might do that because we play the best of, but we might go ahead and play our worship services on Saturday or Sunday for y’all that are in this area.
And your services are enjoyable. Well, thank you, Jack, and that’s a great idea, and we might this weekend make a big switch here and not play a best out, but we might play a worship service for you. Oh, thank you so much, Hank. I love your messages that you come up with them, and thank you very much for helping me in my salvation. Amen. Well, God bless you, Jack, and thank you so much for calling in. We’re going to do something about that.
I’m sure this weekend we’re going to hear a sermon. Thank you, Hank. All right. Talk to you later now. Okay. Bye-bye. And that was Jack in Auburn, Dale, Florida. And that’s a great idea. And I think we’ll do that for at least this area here. We covered some 17 counties on this local station here in Tampa. And we hope that that will be appreciated by those that can’t get over or don’t have Church home. We have Sam in Lakeland.
Sam, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Earth. Oh, I was doing this morning. Dr. McLean, I enjoy y’all’s program and everything. I’d like to give a comment on something. One day I was thinking it was something that could tell in my heart about the fact that a lot of people talk about losing their salvation and different things. And it’s to me to understand that it’s only two ways that can come to what you hear. And that’s being born again.
You’ve gone from your mother, but if you’re the girl you can always be a girl. And when you’re born from Jesus you can always be a sort of child of God. And you can’t change that. Nothing you can do like drinking on alcohol or cursing nothing else can change that to my understanding. And it was one day I was thinking about something and it later my heart was, it’s all like an age. You know, the white of the age is on the outside of the yala.
And the yala is inside, that’s the inside. And when you stir the egg up, the yala pick over the white. And that’s all like the spirit. When the spirit comes to your spirit, it takes over. If you lie and it takes over and it takes over, and you won’t be able to tell the difference cause you show up through the spirit. And that’s how it is by the white and the yellow. For the yellow, it takes over the white.
Because when you stir it, the more you stir it up, the more the yellow take over the white. You can’t see the white. And the more you live with Jesus, the more the flesh you can’t see it. So that’s my comment I want to get to go. All right, well, that was a great Bible lesson there Sam. Thank you for calling in. And it’s true, once you become saved, you’re born again, you become a child of God, and you’ll never become unborn, and you’ll never be no longer his child.
You’re a child of God forever. And obviously, that means what we do after we’re saved doesn’t affect our salvation. But it does affect the rewards. It does affect whether we’re having God’s blessings. And we’re going to be held accountable one day, And God will chase in the disobedient believer in this life and also will suffer loss of reward in eternity. We have now a call from Pottersville, Michigan. And we have Luke on the line. And Luke, welcome to Bibleline from Pottersville, Michigan.
Good morning, Dr. Longstrom. Good morning. This is Luke from Michigan. I got it now. We got an S on there somehow. I enjoyed your programming mentally. I have a question this morning. St. John chapter 5 verse 24, as you put it, so one of your favorite, my I need a clarification. My question pertain is that verily, verily, or truthfully, or saying to you, he is a believer on him that sent a belief on Jesus Christ, says, believe on him, God the Father.
Some Jewish Orthodox people believe I believe God the father, but they don’t leave on Jesus Christ So can you clarify that for me, please? Absolutely There all right. Let’s go a little further in the chapter in the says in verse 37 and the father himself Which has sent me have born witness of me and you have neither heard his voice at any time nor seen his shape and and you have not his word abiding in you for whom he has sent you believe not.
So there’s your answer. In other words, if you believe the Father, you’ll believe on the Son because the Father has revealed the Son in the person of Jesus Christ and he has born witness that this is the Messiah, the Savior, and if you believe his testimony concerning Christ and believe on Christ, therefore you become saved. And so I think it’s right there in the chapter verse 37 and 38, but that’s the themes throughout the book here is that the eternal word, the eternal Son of God was made flesh and revealed to man so that they could become saved through the only begotten Son who would die to pay for their sins and who so ever believeth in him.
And it was God who so loved the world that he gave his Son. And if you believe the Father gave his Son and that Jesus died for you, you will be saved. I hope that helps. I think that’s the answer. Okay. Appreciate the clarification and I thank God for your ministry. Well, thank you. Good teachers and teachers seem to be going to heaven. You know what? I see that. We’ve lost so many of this past year or two. We’ve lost Adrian Rogers and James D.
Kennedy and Jerry Falwell and all host of them. I guess if I just sat and thought about it. lost a bunch just recently and thank you. All right, God bless. That was up in Michigan, and we are on the air live in Michigan, and we’re on in Lansing right now at this time. Anyway, we’re coming to the end of this first half hour. We’re going to do another half hour, and I hope you’ll stay tuned and listen. Some people prefer to listen on the internet.
We’re streaming right now, and they get a good clear signal that way off of the internet. So why not give that a try? Can I have the help Bible and we could sure use your financial help? We don’t have any other means of support and the miracle that we’re on the air is really a miracle because while yesterday I was really, really tight and I got a phone call and a guy gave a significant gift that really got me out of a bind.
And we live that way. We trust the Lord every week and we see how the Lord provides. And maybe you’d like to help us. You could do that by credit card over the phone as this gentleman did yesterday or you can call and ask for an envelope to be sent in. And obviously you can mail your gift into Bible and but we trust that God will supply and he raises up people just like you who like the program and want to see it continue to support it.
God bless and thank you all in advance. We’re going to take our break. We’ll come back into a second half hour. Maybe you have a question you might want to call in, but stay right where you are. We’ll be right back after this short break. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m not going to go into this room. This is Bible and it’s great to be with you.
We really do enjoy being with you every day. And we are committed here to bring the program to you daily, Monday through Friday live. And we hope that you are also helping us by telling your friends and helping us expand our audience. We are thrilled to death that our webcasting is really working. We have so many who listen to the program on the internet around the world. And I have shared the story a number of times here, but we were in Israel in March of this year.
We met some wonderful people from Nigeria and just wonderful people. We invited them to the hotel to our Bible study and a bunch of them came. One of them said he listened to Bible and every day we got to enjoy his fellowship. Then later in the week we met a bunch of pastors and their groups from Upper Nigeria, the other side of the country. They recognized me and came over. We had some photo ops, they all wanted to pose with me and they listened and watched our programming in Nigeria.
I thought, Lord, isn’t that amazing? It’s like a word of encouragement from God to say, keep doing this. And you know, we as we just said, a soldier came to our service Sunday and said that he and 10 of his buddies were watching our worship services every Sunday in Afghanistan. Afghanistan are you listening Afghanistan and they just said it really helped him through those difficult days having the word of God coming to them on the internet through our webcasting and just yesterday a soldier from Georgia called and said guess what we were doing in our barracks on Sunday I said what and he said we were gathered around my laptop and we were all watching your Sunday service isn’t that great maybe you have some soldiers, some servicemen that might like to check in on Bibleline.
Give them the website BibleLineMinistries.org. Maybe some folks that can’t get out and have a computer that can watch or listen to Bibleline throughout the week and would really be great. And then a family and friends, maybe missionaries in other countries, let them know that they can be a part of Bibleline. And of course it all requires us to be able to pay the bills. us to be able to pay the bills and the way we do that is through asking God to supply and He uses our audience to take care of those needs.
We really do have a real partnership with our listeners, without our listeners participating in giving the Bible and we could not be on the earth. That’s just the bottom line. God bless you all and thank you for being a partner with us as you pray for and give the Bible and we’re going to do the second half of Bible and now so. Keep your radio tuned as we return to stations that have been on break and we do that second half hour right now.
Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. All right, we’re back from that break and this is five line We’ve been having fun thus far this morning and we got off your questions We’ve got live callers sitting there waiting to be up on the air with us and we’re just Excited about being with you and thank you for tuning in Today and so many tell us they listen every day a lot of folks tell me They’ve never even called into the program once but when they come by and I get a chance to meet them They say that they really appreciate the program and have never called in, but listen daily.
We had folks visit our worship service on Sunday from Atlanta, Georgia from New York. We were just tickled to death to see people coming from great distances that here by blind in other parts of the country. We never know who might be joining us for a worship service. This third Sunday will be a good one. We’re going to have a Thanksgiving celebration service and we’re going to have a wonderful turkey, I guess, celebration dinner right after the service. That’s this Sunday.
If you live in driving this, it would be a great Sunday to come and visit. Celebrate Thanksgiving Witness as we’ll eat a lot of turkey and ham and all kinds of dressing and gravy and all the good stuff. We hope that you will come and join us. That is this Sunday, the third Sunday in November and it is the Sunday preceding Thanksgiving. So we are going to celebrate here this Sunday morning. You are welcome to come and be a part of that.
Also, we are going to go to Israel coming up February of next year. Not too far away now. February 25th. Only that is a Monday. Coming back March 7th. That is a Friday. It will be 12 full days in Israel. That’ll be fun. If you want to call and get your name on that prospect list, we’re going to have brochures very shortly and we’ll want to make sure to contact you and get those into your hands and let you look at the itinerary.
We’ll also probably put that itinerary in the information on our website so you can plan to go with this. I hope you will. It’ll be trip number 15 for me. It’s a great learning experience. There’s so much to see. I really wind up seeing some new things every time, and I’ve been 14 times already. And I guarantee you, we’re going to see the main sites, and we’ll have a great time. If you haven’t been baptized, we’d like to baptize you in the Jordan River.
Every trip we always have some that need to be baptized, and we’ll be glad to do it in the Jordan River. What an experience it is to get baptized in the Jordan River. We’ll get pictures taken and come back and tell of your experience in Israel. So contact us, give us your phone number and we’ll try to keep you informed as to that trip that’s coming up. We have several calls here ready to go, so we’re going to go right now to Joe.
And Joe is in Tampa, Florida. Joe, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hi, Dr. Hank. How are you doing this morning? Good. My question is a bit off during my quiet food time be applicable to the topic this morning. It’s great. High priest standing there, get accused by Satan. But my question is really in chapter four versus 11 through 14, I’ll turn there. I just want to talk about it. I got here already. This is talking about Moses and Elijah that will come back during the tribulation period.
The two olive trees, if you read Revelation 11, it says right there very plainly. of the two olive trees that Zachariah spoke about. They will preach during the first three and a half years of the tribulation period. Moses and Elijah will have the same powers. They had once before Elijah will pray and it will not rain during those days. Moses will be able to smite the waters and turn them into blood. This might be with plagues as often as he will.
It’s going to be interesting. The prophets are coming back. Two Old Testament the prophets coming back and will be preaching on the earth right after we leave at the rapture and that’s what this discussion here is all about. Okay, and I guess more particularly, I guess, is this just a figurative symbolism, but also would it be where their praises in heaven? Well, I think it’d be exalted to the extent of Christ, of course, but like are they, you know, can be prominent in your…
Well, if you look at what it says in verse 14 of Zechariah 4, it says, then he said to me, these are the two anointed ones that stand before the Lord of the whole earth. worth. If you see the amount of transfiguration in Matthew 17, who is standing there before the ward as he’s transfigured and seen as he will be in the Second Coming, it was Moses and Elijah. These are the two anointed ones. Here they’re told in Revelation they’re called two lamp stands here and they’re also called that here in this chapter 4 of Zachariah and they’re called the two olive trees and they’re called the two witnesses of course in Revelation chapter 11.
So these are the two that will be very, very, very much a part of preparing the way for Jesus to come back and set up his kingdom. I believe that their witness will be responsible for leading the 144,000 Jews to Christ. It will be Christ’s witnesses during the Tribulation period. And that through the 144,000 millions will get saved according to Revelation 7, 9 of all nations, kinens and sons, and including millions of Jewish people. So it’s not just 144,000 Jews.
These 144,000 will also lead millions of Jewish people to Christ as evidenced by the fact that apparently a third of the nation of Israel in the land will become believers. Right now there’s about maybe 6 million Jews in Israel and 2 million of them are going to get saved apparently after the rapture during the tribulation period and that’s exciting. So millions will get saved. That’s two million Jews in Israel getting saved is certainly about more than a number of the hundred, four hundred thousand.
So it has to be that God sends these back because think about what happens at the Rapture. Every believer on the earth is gone. So there’s nobody to witness and God uses not the birds and the bees and the trees and the clouds to witness to the lost. He’s given us as humans that wonderful privilege of being entrusted with the gospel and being able to lead people to Christ and get the blessing and the reward for that. And so he’s going to take these two anointed men and bring them back into the tribulation period to preach and crank up the witnessing process as it starts off with no believers at all and I think they will have a powerful witness and lead a hundred four hundred thousand Jewish men to Christ and then millions of every nation kindred and tribe will get saved as a result of their witness.
Excellent excellent. I mean it’s just great to see so much parallelism in the Bible and how all these things can act between revelations and Zachariah. Maybe I haven’t seen as much time Zachariah and some of these old type of not-profits maybe I should because there’s so much good stuff in there. Oh it’s wonderful. Zachariah is on the part of a Daniel or the book of revelation as far as in-time prophecies. It’s exciting. I think I might teach that book again.
We’re going to be teaching some more classes and I’m probably holding that off down in January because of the holidays. But we’ll actually have some in the classroom and put them on the internet. We just finished John and that’s the longest I ever did 20 hours of teaching. But that’s available on CD and also DVD for those that want to sit down and study the gospel John with me via the CDs and DVDs of the classes. Oh, excellent. Well, thank you, sir.
I really appreciate it. You’re welcome, Joe. In Tampa, Florida, we have David now in Tampa. David, I want to welcome you to the Bible and program. David, you’re on the air. Thank you very much. Good morning, Dr. Lindstrom. Good morning. Dr. Lestman, I have recently heard of, almost referred to as red-letter Christians. I wonder if you could provide some clarification on that. Well, I think what they’re referring to, and I’m not real sure, because sometimes these Roll up.
terms get floating around, but I think that means that people, they just read the red letters in their Bible and only the words of Christ. And I think that that’s unfortunate. That’s why maybe we shouldn’t do the red letters, because they focus just on the words of Christ and think that the other words are of lesser importance. That’s not true. All the Bible is inspired of God. And I think all the Bible is profitable. That’s what it says in 2 Timothy 3, 16.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, and to limit yourself. just to the words of Jesus that are in red in your New Testament, I think is a mistake. I think that’s what I was talking about, but I know that I’ve heard of people that do that. They don’t read anything else. They just take their red letter edition of the Bible and read only the words of Christ which are highlighted in red and I think they’re cheating themselves.
I think it’s great, but I think they need to read more of the Bible. Thank you very much. I feel the same way and I think probably given my advanced years that was raised on nothing but black letters in King James, then that’s all is necessary and that includes the whole Bible. Amen. I know that there are some that say, I just read the red letters. And I think they’re really cheating themselves. Some people just read the New Testament and I think they’re cheating themselves as we just found out from our previous caller, Zachariah, he’s discovering is filled with wonderful, wonderful truths.
We now have Christine in Tampa, Florida calling in and Christine, welcome to Bibleline your on the air. Christine, are you? Yes, good morning. All right, okay. Well, you have a question you’re only here live right now. Oh yes thank you the morning pastor Hank. Good morning. I’ve heard Christians say that Muslims do not worship the same God that we do and if there is one God how can that be and also that Jews do not believe in Jesus yet Christians say that it is the same God.
How does that work? Well I I think you’re absolutely right. You’re pointing out a good question here. There are many gods that are man-made and the Bible talks about that. But there is only one true God. And of course, the God of Islam is not one of those gods of the Bible. It is in fact a God forbidden to be worshiped in the Bible. We’re not to worship the Sunday moon and the stars. And the God of Islam is the moon.
the moon god. All you have to do is look at any minaret which is a prayer tower that the Muslims have to call their people to prayer. At the top what do you have? You have a crescent moon. They’re praying to the moon. Ola is the moon god. They don’t pray to the creator who created the moon, but they prayed to a man-made god and there are many. If you look in your Bible in 1 Corinthians 5, it says in verse 5, though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, as there be gods many and lords many, To us there is but one God the Father of whom are all things and we and Him and one Lord Jesus Christ by whom we are all things and we by Him.
So there it tells you very plainly that there are tons of Gods out there. In fact the Hindus have I think four million Gods. So when you witness to a Hindu you have to be careful that you really are giving good clarification because they say sure we’ll accept Jesus and they say well it’s just one more God to add to my collection of four million gods and they just go add all the new gods you want. But they really haven’t understood that he’s the true living God, the only God and that’s what Corinthians is saying here.
There are gods many and Lord’s many around the world but they’re not the true living God. The true living God gave us the Lord Jesus Christ who is of the flesh begotten of God and went to the cross and died to pay for our sense so that we might receive the gift of eternal life. So Islam does not worship the same God. Now Judaism has the same God, but they are rejecting his words as we just saw earlier in this program.
We talked about in John 5 where they do not believe what the Father said concerning his son. And 1 John 5, I love it. I love this. It says this is the record that God gave concerning his son that he offers eternal life through trusting Christ’s Savior. And if you have the son, you have life and if you don’t have the son, you don’t have life. That’s God’s record throughout the Bible. And you can find that from the earliest pages, God had promised this Messiah that would be God in flesh and all that would trust on Him would be saved.
And obviously, Islam has no savior. In Islam you have to work your way to heaven. They have a big scale one day at the judgment where they will evaluate your works to determine whether you were eligible in heaven or not. And of course the only way you get a free ticket is if you die in a jihad and then you get the 70 virgins and all the extra benefits if you die as a Muslim. But That whole thing is totally false and there’s nothing of truth there at all.
But I don’t know if I’m saying that they do believe in Old Testament. I like the God of Isaac and Jacob. Well, guess what? They say they believe in the New Testament as well. But they don’t ever read it because they say that it’s been corrupted, that it’s not accurate, that the only book that’s accurate is the Corinth. And of course that’s not true. If you read the Corinth, it’s filled with congregations. One place that says God created theureauthern eight days, another place that says He created it in six days.
I mean it’s inconsistent. We have a pamphlet here, it’s about 80 pages, called the Facts on Islam. It exposes the corruption and the inconsistencies and the contradictions in the core end. You can get a core end for about six bucks and one of the secular bookstores out here. Then mark those up and have them ready and show, hey, the Bible has never been wrong. Show me any corruption in the Bible you can’t. Let me show you how your Quran is corrupted.
The Quran says that yes they should read and believe the Bible but they don’t. Okay. All right. Well that’s really good. Thank you so much. You’re so welcome and thank you for calling in Christine. No doubt God loves these people. He died for them but they are rejecting the Savior and the major thrust of Islam is an attack upon Christianity. They hate us. They want to kill us. And they attacked the gospel. They say that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God.
They say that Jesus Christ did not die on the cross of Calvary. That Jesus Christ did not come back from the dead. And that Jesus Christ is not the Savior. And so that just is the heartbeat of the Bible. And if you reject Christ, then you can’t be saved and you don’t have God. of course their God is a false God but the Bible says in 1 John 2 23, who’s whoever denied the son the same hath not the Father.
So if you don’t embrace Christ and trust Him as your Savior you don’t have God the Father. But He that acknowledges the Son the same hath the Father also. 1 John write that one down chapter 2 verse 23. Good to be with you today this is Bible and we’re coming to you from Tampa, Florida live. Again, we want to welcome those in our driving business to come and join us this Sunday for our Thanksgiving celebration service. And join us when I’ve been or be my guest.
But if you’re living in other cities, you can still join the service by doing at 11 o’clock to our website, Bibleline Ministries, and click on the camera. And as we just said, what a thrill this weekend is an encouragement to me. We had a soldier come to the service here Sunday and tells us that in Afghanistan, about 10 of his buddies and he would sit around the laptop and watch our worship service. He said it got him through and they could watch it live and they could also watch it in our time during the week.
We have over a year’s worth of sermons there and just yesterday I had a soldier from Georgia call and say, guess what we were doing in our barracks on Sunday. I said, what? He said, we were watching your worship service on the internet. Isn’t that exciting? So we know we’re reaching out there, not only beyond the borders of the United States to countries like Afghanistan. But we have regular viewers now in Stockholm, Sweden, then, and England and other countries are watching in.
And we’re excited about that. We’re going to go to D in Tampa, Florida. And D, welcome to Bibleline you’re on there. Hi, I’m a Christian and I listen to your radio show pretty regularly, but I have to tell you I think that it is a shame that you are promoting that Muslim worship a moon guy when that is so not true. They are one of the other monotheistic religions. They worship the same Bible that the Jews and the Christian worship the same God that the Jews and the Christians worship.
And I think it’s blasphemy for you to say that. Well, I’m afraid that’s the truth. That was one of the tribal gods of the Bedouin Arabs in Saudi Arabia and and Mohammed picked out the moon god as being the god that they would worship and that was Allah. And so they do worship the moon god and you see that on every prayer tower and they actually in order to reach the moon god they pray to a meteorite in the Saudi Raven Desert.
There’s a meteorite that’s 12 inches in diameter, itutherford aLabourPhoenix ()), and Mohammed said that that was the point of contact between the moon and man. So every Muslim aims his body five times a day. Prostrate aiming his body, geocompasswise to that rock in Saudi Arabia. That’s what MEC is all about. MEC is about that. Rock, that is why Rock is in the media. They worship that rock. If you have seen pictures of what they do, they have it in clothes now and in glass with a little opening.
and they all try well required to make a once in a lifetime visit to mecca and then they tried to kiss that rock with their tongue and they they stick their tongue in that little opening in the glass that covers the stone and they try to lick it you can imagine not the millions of uh… muslims that have tried to lick that stone but they worship that stone and they If I’ve been in the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey, and they have a niche in the mosque, it gives them a compass direction so they, when they are on their mats and they pray and they aim their body, they aim it toward Mecca, and it shows the direction to the south.
I’ve been in Egypt where I’ve been in some of the mosques there, and they have a niche that tells them which direction Mecca is, and they pray more to the east, and of course Of course, if they’re in the east, they pray west, and wherever they are, it’s all about that rock. And it’s unfortunate that they are really rock worshipers. And that’s the point of contact between them and the moon god. So it really is craziness. And I’m sorry that it’s a false religion, and there is no truth to Islam.
And it’s a… And it… And it started off with the sword and still once these the sword and violence to conquer the world. They want to subjugate the whole world and they want to do it by force. And obviously you see the violence and the blood and they even kill each other for these very reasons. Many Muslims are very afraid. I was on a flight from Rome, Israel from Jerusalem, from Tel Aviv to Rome. I sat next to a young lady that worked for Aerofat at that time and she was, she turned out to be a Christian in my conversation with her and she said, I have to be very careful that no one finds out that I’m a believer because if I do, she says my sisters will never get married, my brothers will never find work, there will be physical harm that will come
to me and my family. And that’s the real world. If you live outside the United States, your life is in danger. If you accept any other belief system, then this system is one where people are controlled by force and by fear. And it’s totally a false religion. And I thank you for your call. We are coming up on the end of the hour. If you want to call me, we can get somebody else in here correctly, but it’s 1-800-576-3771.
1-800-576-3771. And the most amazing thing is the silent Holocaust going on in Africa today where literally hundreds of thousands of Christians have been killed by Muslims because they are simply Christians. That is sad. And it’s not getting the exposure that it should. unfortunate is not talked about and a lot of this is because of so-called political correctness. But Islam definitely wants to take over the world and if you do some careful study you’ll find countries in Europe are finding out what it’s like now to have larger populations of Islam in their countries because they are fearful of what can happen to them and the threats of violence, you saw what happened in Spain and what has been diverted here lately in England where they’ve caught some of them before they were able to carry out these acts of terrorism but this is for real.
