We’re going to fly with L.L., the safest airline in the world. That’s the Israeli airline. We’re going to be touring Israel from north to south and east to west. And we were there just last March and we had a wonderful trip. Nothing fearful or scary about it. We’re going to have another one. It’ll be trip number 15 for me. We’ll be baptizing in the Jordan River. We’ll be visiting the Tomb of Christ and the Hill of Calvary and the Sea of Galilee that did see the Mediterranean.

We’ll see it all. We’ll have a great time and we’ll have lovely hotels. One is right on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Can you imagine stepping out and just looking at that grand view of the Sea of Galilee where Christ loved to spend much of his time? Hope you’re on board with me. Give me a call and I’ll be glad to talk to you directly about this trip and answer any questions you might have. That’s coming up rather quickly, so give me a call.

Also, we’re starting a brand new class tonight. First Peter, it’s an incredible book. All kinds of doctrines are taught and discussed in this wonderful book of Peter, Peter’s first epistle. And that’ll be tonight. And if you want to come, if you’re in driving distance, you’re welcome to come. There’s a charge of $50, which will help by the line. This is $5 per class hour. But if you can’t afford that, we want you in the classroom. I’ll give you a scholarship or something.

Just come up to me personally and I’ll take care of that. Just let me know you just don’t have the funds. Because we don’t want anyone to stay away because of money. But we want you to be here. That’ll be the night. For five weeks, two hours per night, we’ll start probably around 7.15 and run till 9.15. With a short break right in the middle, we’ll have a great time. I want you to be in my first Peter class.

Also, we’re going to be offering some past classes on the internet. So if you want to take a class on the internet, you won’t be able to get this one live. But you’ll get past classes like the Gospel of John, 20 hours of teaching. You’ll be able to get basic Bible doctrines, which was a great class on the major doctrines of the Bible, another one called Meeting the Challenge. So there are classes you’ll be able to take. And by the way, we will have DVDs ready for each of the classes on first Peter.

And those are really high resolution. And so if you played them on your DV player on a large screen television, you could really have the whole family enjoy the series. Call and talk to our operators about our different resources. We do have CDs and DVDs of my teachings. and I think you’ll enjoy the flow as we go, verse by verse. And if you can, come out tonight. That’s tonight at Kelvry Community Church at 4811 George Road in Tampa, just a block west of the airport and just a couple of blocks south of Hillsborough, Avenue in Tampa.

And if you, of course, are in other areas, you can get the CDs of this class and you can also get it at another time on the internet. right now we have three classes, three courses that you can take on the internet if you want to. We’re going to go to the Bible and we’ll be answering questions if you have your pencil there. John, down the phone number, give us a call. It’s 1-800-576-3771. It’s 1-800-576-3771. Give us a call and we’ll get you up on the air and we’ll try to answer your questions as as well as we have all fair questions here.

We’re still trying to catch up with, and we’ll try to get as many of those as we possibly can. Well, if you open your Bible with me, we’ll turn over to the book of Hebrews, and we’ll turn to chapter 10. What an incredible chapter that is. It says in Hebrews 10, 10, by the witch will, we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. What an incredible verse. It tells us that by one sacrifice, the one-time sacrifice of Christ at Calvary, we are sanctified forever, forever.

And if you can, verse 10 is a great verse. It says here that by the which will, we are are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Christ died once to pay for all of your sins past, present and future. The word sanctified means to make pure and holy. And once you trust Christ, you are seen by God as pure and holy in His sight. And that’s incredible. This means you’re perfected in God’s sight forever.

1.1, he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified. So once you trust Christ, you are in God’s sight perfected forever and ever and ever and ever. It is a done deal. It is forever. Verse 11, this is an amazing verse. It says in every priest, standeth daily, ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices which can, it says, never. Never take away sins. Never take away sins. Think about that. Just think about the Roman Catholic Mass. Think of it in terms of this verse.

Every priest, Daneth, daily, ministry, and offering all of that times, the same sacrifices which can never take away sins. It doesn’t matter whether it was a Jewish sacrifice or The sacrifice of the Mass, there is no sacrifice that will take away any of your sin except for that of Jesus. Verse 12 says, This man referring to Jesus after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever sat down on the right hand of God. Jesus is the only sacrifice that would satisfy God’s justice and his one time death paid for your sins and mine forever.

And this is all by the will of God. It says in verse 10, By the will of God, by the which will, we are sanctified, made pure and holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. One time to pay for all sins forever, and that is Christ. By the way, the word sanctified comes from a Greek word that means to make pure and holy. Most people define it as to set apart. And that’s not really the meaning, that’s an application.

Anything that is pure and holy is obviously set apart from everything that is not holy. And when you trust Christ as Savior, you’re seen by God as pure and holy, and obviously that sets us apart from those that are not saved, that are not holy. And so in God’s sight, He sees us as though we had never sinned, a single sin. We are perfected in God’s sight forever by the one-time sacrifice of Christ. Now that’s the verb form of the Greek word and it is sanctified but the noun form is saint.

So every person who is sanctified is a saint and that occurs at the moment you trust Christ as your Savior. From that moment on you are saved forever and ever and ever and ever. Then if you drop down to verse 17, it says, there are sins and iniquities, while I remember no more. In other words, once you trust Christ, your sins and iniquities are forgiven, forgotten. God says He won’t remember them. They will never be brought up again. And then it says in verse 18, now where a remission of these is, there is no more…

What is your sin’s for giving? There is no more, no additional, no other sacrifice necessary. The one time sacrifice of Christ is sufficient to pay for your sins for eternity. That has got to be the best news you’ll ever hear. And you say, well, what about a backslider? Well, if you go over to verse 39, here is the answer. It says, we… We are not of them who backslider drawback into hell. Once you trust Christ, even if you backslide or get away from the Lord, you are still saved.

We are none of them who draw back into the tradition, but of them that believe to the saving or the deliverance of the soul. you trust Christ, you are again, as I said, saved forever and you can never be lost, but you can be disciplined by the Lord. And then this chapter here in the end of it talks about the Lord’s chasing and disciplining the believer. But if you’re faithful and you live with the Lord, you will have great recompense of reward, according to verse 35.

will reward you, he will reimburse you for whatever time spent for Christ. And that’s got to be great news. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline. We’re going to take your calls. If you want to call us, it’s 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771, give me a call. We’re going to go to Darnell in St. Petersburg in Darnell. Welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Yes, Dr. Hay, thank you. Well, I have a deliverable right now, seen from your parents, and I have another cool work to introduce her to Christ.

We’re trying to use scriptures and everything. And right now, we’re listening to you on the computer. And if you could, could you just minister to this young woman to why we need God and why we need Jesus, and I’m going to hand up a message to you. Thank you. All right. Well, thank you for tuning in. You know, all of us need the Lord. The Bible says in Romans 6, around 3.23, for all have sin and all have come short of the glory of God.

Number 2, the penalty for that sin is death. In Romans 6.23, the wages of sin is death, which means separation from God, ultimately separation from God in hell forever and ever and ever. And so therefore we’re in trouble. Every one of us are headed for hell and we don’t have to do a thing but just die and will be cast into the everlasting lake of fire. To be saved there’s nothing we can do of ourselves. You can be religious, you can go to church, you can pray, you can change your life, you can live a holy life as much as possible and yet you would still go to hell.

What we need is a Savior and that’s why Jesus Christ came. He died and paid for your sins so that you might receive that gift of everlasting life. Romans 623 goes on to say, after it says the wages of sin is death, it says, but the gift of God is eternal life. The gift of God is eternal life. I love that. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. So when you trust Christ at that moment you become saved and you become saved eternally.

And so if you don’t trust Christ according to the Bible, you will wind up ultimately in hell. You don’t want to go there. It’s a lake of fire. It’s a place of torment day and night forever and ever. Revelation 20 verse 10 tells us that. So you don’t want to go there where it says that they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. If you want to go to heaven, it’s a free gift. Jesus purchased that at the cross.

So when you simply trust him, the Bible says in John 3 16, who, so ever, believeth in him, should not perish but have everlasting life? And I hope that you would trust the Lord right now. If you don’t know what to say, you can say, Lord, I’m a sRewr. I don’t understand much about the Bible, but I believe that Jesus died for me, paid my sin dead and full by his death and shed blood was buried, and rose again from the dead.

I trust him right now to be my Savior. I trust Him to save me, to give me the gift of eternal life, to forgive my sin, and to be my only means of reaching heaven. And God will save you the moment you trust Him. And you don’t have to look for a feeling. To know that it took place. You have something far better that’s God’s word and his promise and he’ll never break a promise if God said it and he did and you believe it.

That settles it and you can know you’re safe forever. Darnell, I hope that helped a little bit and we hope that the friend there will trust the Lord of Savior right now. And if that person prayed that prayer and trusted the Lord as their Savior, then they need to grow as a Christian by getting into the Bible and studying it and learning what God has to say. We now have Robert in Venice, Florida, and Robert, welcome to the Bible and you’re on the air.

Hi, I just wanted to mention that Mark 7 verse 15 and 16. All right, Mark 7 verse 15 and 16. I’m going to turn over there and take a look. What is the question on that? I noticed in a lot of churches that I’ve ever attended that a lot of preachers don’t get into the discipline of the mind regarding thought. I would like your thoughts. I’ll hang up and listen. All right. Well, thank you very much. Obviously, everything starts in your brain.

And in the Bible, it certainly teaches that. And I think that’s what Christ is saying here. It says, there is nothing from without a man that entering into him can defile him. But the things which come out of him, they are they wish to file the man. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. And that is, of course, we have a sin nature that we’ve inherited from Adam and we sin because we are sinners. We don’t become sinners because we sin.

A dog barks because it’s his nature to bark, but a dog doesn’t become a dog by barking. And a cat doesn’t become a cat by meowing. It’s something natural to the cat to meow and something natural to the dog to bark. And so this is truly your right on. When we trust Christ, get a brand new nature that sinless and not capable of sinning. And so the Christian, the believer in Christ, has a struggle between the two natures. One nature wants us to sin.

The other one has a desire there for us to live pure and for the Lord. And so you’re in the driver’s seat, though, and you need to make the choices. One of those choices, of course, is to be careful what comes into your mind. If you read Philippians chapter 4, it talks about the secret to peace and to discover God’s will is to fill your mind with good things and write things. And I believe to get into the Bible as much as you possibly can, which has a cleansing effect upon your life.

in the book of Philippians, you have a wonderful passage here where it says, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be known unto God and the peace of God, which passive all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. So then he says, finally, brother, in the verse 8 of Philippians chapter 4, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things.

So we have to fill our minds with the right things and have control of our mind for sure. And you’re absolutely right and that’s a great point that you’re making. And we have a sin nature and it’s going to obviously always war against our new nature if you’re a believer. If you’re not a believer then only you only have the old nature and that really makes it really tough for the unbeliever. Thank you for calling Robert and that was Robert done in Venice, Florida.

We now have Sam in Lakeland, Florida. Sam, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. I was listening to you and I was, hey, two questions, I like to ask you. And the one of them was just got through the answer and a few minutes ago for those guys, they called the question I was going to ask you, was when people started to send us, and as a center, and it’s different than being a center and singing. And I was asking the question about that, but you answered a lot of just then.

And then another one I asked was, I don’t got what that was. you guys would have to question sam is just be good to talk to you thank you for calling in today from lakeland florida perinley his questions uh… got answered right while he was waiting to come up on the air we uh… have uh… uh… alan in brandon florida she says i am struggling with lust adultery and i want to stop what do i do or revival says flee.

He said, you need to remove yourself from opportunity and make sure that you don’t provide opportunity for those things or for your thought life to go in that direction. So what you need to do is we just talked about is fill your mind with the right kind of things. I would read the Bible and I would play Christian music and I would be around Christians who would encourage you and be mentors to you. mentors to you, I would read the first Psalm.

It’s a wonderful Psalm to memorize. It’s not that many verses in it, but it says happy is the person that does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly. In other words, don’t listen to people who would not encourage you to live for the Lord, but be around the right kind of people because you might wind up sitting down with them and being a part of them and you don’t want to do that. But the person who is going to be really blessed and really happy and fulfilled is the one who’s the light is in God’s Word.

So you need to get into the Word on a regular basis. You need to drop friends and those around you that would influence you in the wrong direction. Fill your mind with good thoughts. Get yourself busy serving the Lord and act you for Him. And I believe that that will help you with this problem. But definitely you need to make sure that you flee from opportunity. Just make sure you don’t put yourself in a position where that could happen to you.

Thank you for that question. We now have Skip in Largo, Florida. And Skip, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, brother Hank. Could you give me your interpretation of the last two verses of Hebrews 11? Alright, let’s go over there to Hebrews chapter 11. I did a series a year or so ago on the book of Hebrews, covered every verse, verse by verse. You might be interested in getting that. Here it talks about some of the heroes of faith of the Old Testament.

And here it talks about how in verse 37, and they were stoned, they were sawn a thunder, they were tempted, they were slain with a sword, they wanted about in sheep’s skins and goat skins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented. Sounds like that health, wealth, and prosperous life theology today, doesn’t it? No, of course it doesn’t. They were noticed destitute, afflicted, tormented. Then it says in verse 38, of whom the world was not worthy. These were God’s heroes, and the world didn’t see them as heroes, and oftentimes the world will not.

If you are looking for worldly flame fame, you are not going to get it if you are just out there living for Christ. The world doesn’t really appreciate that and the world didn’t appreciate these. These all, having a good report through faith, received not the promise. What it is saying is the rewards that they were going to get are still awaiting them and they will get them at the Second Coming of Christ when the Old Testament saints will receive their reward.

But they got a good report card and by the way we’re all going to be graded as to how we performed in this life after we were saved and the result will be degrees of reward. So the promise of rewards is going to be actually fulfilled when Jesus comes at the Second Coming. But these were obviously heroes and they’re going to have great rewards in heaven. talks here about Moses, as themes of the reproach in verse 26 of Christ, greater riches than the treasures that were in Egypt.

He could have been a very rich Pharaoh, but he turned that down. Have to say goodbye to our Miami audience. We sure do enjoy being down in the Miami area on the air down there on 1080 on Amdau. I think skip is gone and but those are two great verses and it talks about a report card and we are going to get a report card when we enter heaven as to how we scored down here, but it doesn’t have to do with our salvation.

It has to do with rewards. Again, let me remind you that Bible and his listeners are not. If you’d like to help MyBlind, you can send a gift by credit card over the phone. You can also send it by mail. If you call and ask for an unload to be sent to you, we will certainly ship that right out and you can mail your gift in. We’re gonna have to rejoin the stations that have been on break now and do the second half hour. So keep your radio dial to and write where it is and we’ll come back and do the second half hour of Bibleline and you can call in and get up on the air with me Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question you can just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771 Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom We’re back from that break.

This is Bibleline. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church. Or on the pastor. Guess what? Tonight we’re starting a class on 1st Peter, 5 incredible chapters that deal with so many different Bible doctrines and we’ll be talking about all of those and especially how this particular book is great for the Christian dealing with temptations, temptations, trials, and things. presentations, trials, persecutions, and troubles that you may experience in your lifetime.

I think you’ll find it very, very helpful and we encourage you to come out and be a student in the classroom tonight. It’ll really probably run from about 7.15 to 9.15 and I’d love to have you in the class. There is a charge, a gift of $50 per person and that’ll be about $5 per class hour. But we really want you in the classroom, but it will be a means to help by blind pay the bills and keep us on the air, which is what we want as well. But come up tonight, five weeks, beginning tonight, two hours per night for five weeks, ten hours of teaching on first Peter, we’re going to have a wonderful time. And there’s something special about being in a classroom together, doing a systematic study of a book in the Bible as we’ll be doing.

I think you’ll really enjoy. That’ll be the night. Don’t miss it. And if you do miss tonight, we will have it recorded. And you’ll be able to get those CDs and catch right up and join the pack. So that’ll be tonight at 7.15. Come a little bit early if you can so we can get you signed up and get you ready to go. Don’t forget the trip to Israel coming up February 25th. I want you on board with me.

Call me and I’ll be glad to talk to you about it. And if you have any fears, let me talk to you about that as well. We’ve never felt in danger while we’re in Israel. In fact, we read the newspapers over in Israel. We’re afraid to come back to the States. It’s scary when you read about what’s happening here. So I think you might just want to stay over there and you have my field. It’s more safe than it is here.

And that’s really true. You’ll never feel, I think, in danger of the whole trip. It’s really going to be a marvelous experience for you. And decide to do it. Just make that decision and say, I’m going to go. And you’ll find that it will transform your life. And definitely, there’s nothing that will give you more input in a short period of time than a trip like this. It’s like a year’s worth of Bible study, probably better than that. because you’ll just be right on the spot, on the job type training and learning God’s word where you’re going to be right where everything took place.

Join me, call it and ask about the trip to Israel. We’ll send you to brochure and of course if you want to get it faster than that, go to the Internet site, BibleLineMinistries.org and click on Bibleline News on the right-hand side of the home page and you’ll be able to pull down the full four-page brochure and the full two-page itinerary and I hope you will do that. We’re going to go to the phone lines again. We have Greg in Tampa, Florida and Greg, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air.

I’m wearing a couple of scriptures for me. I’ve been talking with someone who’s raised in the Church of Christ and our discussion is always about baptism and how it’s being used and the two verses are Matthew 28, 19 and Mark 1616 and I’ll hang up and listen to your answer. Alright, we’ll go ahead and do that. Thank you, Greg. Water baptism doesn’t save. Water will not wash away your sin. The Bible is very clear in Revelation 1 5 that Christ washed us from our sins in his own blood.

The hymn writer got it right. When he said, what can wash away my sin? The answer is nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood and yet the Church of Christ insists that water will wash away your sin. First of all, in the passage you cited in Matthew 28, it’s talking about the Great Commission, which it is, I believe, in two parts. And the first part is we go out and win the lost to Christ by bringing them to the Gospel.

And then the second part is implied here, where it says, go you therefore and it skips the leading them to Christ and implies that it’s already a part of this and then teach all nations. The word teach in the Greek means to disciple. The discipleship is when you choose to serve the Lord after you’re saved and it says the disciple of all nations baptizing them. So those that are choosing to live of for Christ after they have become saved are to be baptized.

That’s what it’s talking about here, and I believe that Christ gave that example. Jesus lived 30 years before he had any ministry or did any miracles at all. When he was 30, in fulfillment of the Old Testament type, when the priest in the Old Testament became 30, he was consecrated by a full immersion of baptism and that marked the beginning of his ministry. And so Jesus obviously didn’t need to be cleansed of embroiled sin. He was sinless, the sinless spotless Lamb of Hebdo, but he was baptized at 30 which marked the beginning.

It was a consecration for service on the part of someone who would serve as a priest would. And so it is the consecration of a believer as well. I believe that believers, just because you’re saved, doesn’t mean that you have to be baptized, but after you become a disciple. That’s when you’re to be baptized according to Matthew 28, it says, baptized or disciple all nations and baptized them. So I think it has to do with your coming out of the closet, your being willing to give a public testimony and stand up and say, I’m going to live now in the newness of life that I’ve been given through faith in Christ.

And I’ve baptized a lot of people and we do it by immersion, but we teach people very clearly that it has nothing to do with saving them. It has to do with now the beginning of their life of service in serving the Lord. In Mark 16, it’s not talking about water. It says in verse 16, he to believe us and his baptize shall be saved, but he to believe it not shall be damned. Well, what is talking about there, I believe, is the baptism that does save, which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Think about this in Mark 1, 8. Mark’s Gospel chapter 1 verse 8, John the Baptist said, I need to baptize you with water. But he Christ shall come after me, shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit. Read through the book of Mark the rest of the book, if you will, and you’ll find no more water baptism in the book at all. It’s over. Gone. You get to set chapter 16, you have Christ coming back from the dead. He’s alive.

And these are His words after the resurrection. And He says, He, the believer in His baptized, shall be saved. Well obviously the baptism that He baptizes with saves you. And that’s the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Every believer receives that upon belief. So it’s not talking about water. There’s no evidence in the book of Mark that it would be water. I think you have the introduction very clearly spelled out in chapter 1 where in chapter 1 verse 8 John the Baptist said, I indeed have baptized you with water.

But he so come after me, Jesus Christ shall baptize you with Holy Spirit. So since it’s Christ talking, after his resurrection he’s telling you that if you believe and have his baptism you will be saved. But it’s not talking about water. Greg I hope it helps a little bit. If a person is trusting in water baptism plus Christ to be saved, they’ll not be saved at all because they’re trusting in their works. And I feel very badly for the people in the Church of Christ that are misled and probably are not saved and will go to hell because they’re trusting in their works, they’re trusting in baptism, they’re trusting.

I have a track here from one of the Church of Christ’s churches in the teasp area here and they listed 22 things a person must do in order to be saved. And my heart goes out to them because they’re misled, mistaught, and are taught that they have to do 22 things in order to save them. And the Bible says there’s only one thing you can do to be saved and that’s the trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

We’re now going to go to the Phon lines to Willie and Willie is in uh, let’s see here Jacksonville Florida and Willie welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air Hello, hi, this is Willie speaking. Yes, Willie. Yes. I have a couple of weeks ago you were talking about these angels Yes, and I have a couple of verses 50. I like what to look at Let’s go Revelation 12 4 Alright Revelation 12 4 I’m almost there and We’ll talk about that one first and move on.

Let’s see, Revelation 12 verse 4. And it says here, and his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven and did cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered for to devour her child as soon as it was born. Well, we learned a little bit further down here that that was a third of the stars represented the third of God’s angels that Satan took with him that were cast down to the earth when Satan rebelled against God.

Right. Okay. Now with that in mind, let’s look at one more verse with you and I’m probably getting my point across. Job 38 verse 5, 6 and 7 with the emphasis on verse 7. All right. Let me go back there and we’ll read Job 38 and tell me right before the Psalms of camel was there and it says over here in verse 5, 7, it says, who have measured the who have laid the measures thereof if thou know us or who have stretched the line upon it whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened or who has laid the cornerstone thereof when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy.

Do I need angels singing? No they’re not. All No, they’re not. And if you read carefully here and you go further on, these stars are the ones that are singing and they are called the sons of God here, but they’re not talking about angels or humans in this case. Stars sing. Today we have radio telescopes that pick up the sounds from stars across the universe and they listen to these sounds and they can actually map the heavens by the sounds from the stars.

Each star has a particular sound or sound or music that comes forth from them. If you read now later in the chapter it talks about, for example in verse 32 about constellations in the heavens, it says, can’t thou bring forth manzeroth in his season or can’t now guide Octuris with his sons. So Octuris is a star system and you have Octuris as the principal star and notice the sons of Octuris are the other stars. And so here the morning stars are the stars out there in the universe, each one of which has a particular song that they sing even to this very day.

The radio telescopes pick that up and all the sons of God shadow for joy. That is the stars that are singing and certainly angels don’t sing. Thank you, Willie. That was a good point. But angels are never called sons of God. Hebrews 1 5 says, God never at any time called an angel his son. But these stars that he created, sons of a particular star cluster are called the sons of that major star. Alright, we have Now Janice in Tampa, Florida and Janice welcome to Bibleline your own here.

Hi, I’m calling to find a quick explain. Revelation 11 to 27. Please hang up and listen on the ring. All right. Revelation 11. I’m turning there now and let’s see what this is talking about here in Revelation 11. And I believe she said with what verse that she began here. 1 through chapter 11 only has 19 verses. Let’s see here. Let’s go over here to verse 7. In Revelation 11 we have two Old Testament prophets that are coming back after the rapture during the tribulation period.

I believe they will be Moses and Elijah and I believe they will come back and preach for 42 months. That’s exactly what it says here in these verses here in verse 3. It says, I’ll give power unto my two witnesses. I believe they are Moses and Elijah. They shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and three score days, clothed in cyclops and of course that is exactly three and a half years. It says here in verse 6 that they’ll have the power to set up the heaven that it reign not.

One of the prophets in the Old Testament that did that was Elijah. Elijah according to the last two verses of Malachi in the Old Testament is to come back during the tribulation period and guess what? He’ll again pray and the heavens won’t yield rain and it will not rain during his time when he comes back. Then it says the other one will have power over the waters that turn under blood and spite the earth with all the plagues as often as they will and that of course obviously is Moses.

Then it talks about them being killed by the Antichrist in Jerusalem after the three and a half years of ministry and their dead bodies will lie there in the streets of Jerusalem. And of course people around the world will see this event apparently because of satellite television. They’ll be able to watch it and their homes are going to have parties, they’ll get drunk, they’re going to give gifts to one another it says. While they’re partying after three and a half days, these two men come back to life, and it says, great fear fell upon all those which saw them.

Then they ascend back up into heaven, and apparently the TV cameras will be on them, and they’ll watch around the world these two prophets ascend back up into heaven. Guess what? This could never happen till now. And that’s why again the Bible sets an amazing book because today we watch our TV sets, we see live pictures all the time of things that are happening in other parts of the world. Isn’t that amazing? I mean, it really is amazing. We’ve been able to watch if you were paying attention.

Bush traveled to the Middle East. He’s been to Israel, to Kuwait, to Saudi Arabia and all around and we’re able to watch live pictures coming back to us out from the middle east and watch our president over there and we’ll be able to see course we’re not going to be able to if you’re a believer you’re going to be raptured out we will be here for the tribulation but people left behind here will be able to see worldwide these two profits as they are killed in Jerusalem and their bodies later in the streets of Jerusalem for three and a half days and the cameras are trained on those bodies and it’ll be seen Wow, it’s a pretty incredible day in which we’re living in.

Hopefully that helps answer that question for you, Janice. And we are now going to go to Larry in Mason, Michigan. And Larry, welcome to Baba and you’re on the air. Hello, Dr. Lantz from? Hello there. I wanted to add an addition to what you said to the gentleman who called me. Yeah. and uh… and back in the nineteen seventies national b geographic uh… offer the star chart and they also offered uh… I’m a director of records in which you could hear different stars, and each one of them have a different sound to them.

And that’s a way that Nate… nature amen lots of thank you for sharing that i didn’t know that they had made a record or uh… tape of that available i bet that’s good still be gotten if somebody wanted to go on the internet look for it. But that would be wonderful. You know the stars sing and there you go. The Bible said that long before man ever knew anything about it. They know it today but the Bible said it long ago.

Yeah but you could put in on a phone of grail and play it. Isn’t that something? Yes, sir. All right. Well Larry, thank you for listening and thanks for calling in and sharing that with our previous listener. They called it about that. Yes, sir. The Morning Stars Singing is literally the stars who sing. They all have a particular sound that they put out and make beautiful music. There was a rejoicing as God created the universe. Alright thank you so much for that Larry and Manson Michigan.

By the way again we’re going to have a brand new class tonight. Peter, five weeks of teaching, probably 7.15 to 9.15. I’d love to have you in my classroom if you’re in driving distance. If not, you can order the CDs. And also, you’ll be able to order, if you prefer, DVDs. That’s audio and video, full color, be able to play that on your DVD player, on a large screen television, and a lot of folks in your home can see it, or guests, or Sunday school class.

I think you’ll enjoy it. You can get those by calling in. And I hope you will be here in the area, in the actual classroom. And also if you are not, you can get the class by CD or DVD. All right, John, and Albany, New York calls in and says, women pastors, what is their role? Well, obviously they are out of place because the Bible tells us that women are not be the preachers. Give you a couple of verses here.

It says in 1 Corinthians 1434, let your women keep silence in the churches. So if you have a woman pastor, don’t allow her to speak because the Bible says here let your women keep silence in the churches so they’re not to speak at all. That would kind of end their role, I think. If you look over in Timothy, 1 Timothy, chapter 2, it also talks about women and how that they’re not allowed to teach. The Word of God, that is.

They are, according to Titus, to teach older women, rather the older women, or to teach younger women to love their husbands, to stay at home, to love their children, to love their husbands, be chased, a lot of things they can teach, but they are not authorized to teach the word of God. It says in 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse 11, same thing we just read in 1 Corinthians, let the women keep silence. Let the women learn in silence with all subjections.

So if you have a woman preacher, don’t let her talk. And you’ll just do fine. Verse 12 says, but I suffer or allow not a woman to teach, nor do you serve authority over the men, but to be in silence. Notice the word silence is used twice here in verse 12, verse 11, verse 12 here, and the first Corinthians 14. So their role is to be silent. So if you can get a woman preacher that will be silent, you have got the Bible match.

I hope that helps a little bit. And there are numerous other verses as well. But God never intended for women to be the preacher in a church. Thank you, John, in Albany, New York for that question. OK, we’re going to go to James now. And James is in Tampa, Florida. James, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Yes, ma’am. How would you belong to a church that, I believe I wouldn’t have passed any information on ties and offerings. The past of the minutes just say that we were to give 20% of our ties and offerings.

I don’t want to know if you could. You could just give me some off the air too. alright James and Tampa, well obviously that he must have been accounting for inflation or something to say 20% wow but that’s totally wrong and certainly the tithe was a tenth, ten percent but we’re not under the Old Testament law of tithe. Certainly somebody once said we are to give from the heart and to give generously and should we give less under grace than we did under the law?

If we were compelled to give 10% under the law, should we give less now that we are giving under grace? Good question to be asked. But grace giving is where you purpose to give as God has prospered you and of course the Bible teaches that every believer is to give. Let me give you a great quote from 1 Corinthians chapter 16. And in 1 Corinthians chapter 16 it says here, upon the first day of the week, that’s Sunday, that every one of you lay by Him in store as God hath prospered Him.

So there’s New Testament giving. So you You were to bring an offering and you were to lay in store there a certain amount based upon a percentage of your income because it says here as God has prospered him. But it doesn’t tell us how much under grace. So Charles Rirey, a favorite author of mine, suggests maybe you would give 9.5%, or 10.5%, 11% just to get away from the 10% number. But it’s up to you and if God has prospered you, give accordingly.

Thank you for that question and certainly that’s a good verse for you to go by. First grade in 16 verse 2. We’re about on the time here. We have lots more off the questions. We’ll try to get them caught up this week. Again, we remind you we have a class tonight in 1 Peter. Hope you’ll come. come five weeks, 7.15 to 9.15 in the classroom. And if you want to take classes on the internet, we will have three offered there.

The Gospel of John, Basic Bible Doctrine and also the class that I taught on the Christian life. And I think you’ll enjoy those three. You can call and ask about taking those. But we hope you’ll come in person tonight. If you and you want this class, it will be offered on internet later at a later time, but you can get the CDs. Don’t forget I’m leaving for Israel. I want you to go, call and we’ll send your brochure and explain that to you.

Also, if you can help Bibleline financially, pray for us, of course. But if you can send a gift to it by telephone, you can give a gift by credit card or you can ask for an envelope. We’ll send it to you and you can mail your gift back to Bibleline that would really help us because we are totally financially dependent upon our listeners and you’re our partners that keep this program on the air. God bless and thank you in advance for your Your prayers and your gifts to the Bible.

We’ve got to run, but keep looking up. Jesus is coming, and we believe He’s coming real soon. Have a great day, and I look forward to being with you tomorrow. Well, I’m Dr. England Stearman. It’s been great to be with you again today. I’ve enjoyed being with you and I hope you enjoyed being with me as we can get together and chat about the Bible here and answering your questions and you can listen to the answers of other people’s questions that we answer here on the program. This program can be heard again and again if you go to the internet. You can also order a copy of this program if you would like.

And of course we have a lot of other presentations, especially of classes that I’ve taught over the years as I’ve taught for three different Bible colleges. And we have taught a lot of classes here that are available now on CD or DVD. You might want to get some of those presentations for yourself. We have some of them now in DVD. The class that will begin tonight will be offered on DVD as well as CD, which is kind of nice.

And it’s really high quality. You can play it on a big screen television if you have a DVD player and sit back and then be better than the classroom, I guess, because you have such a large presentation in front of you, the picture, and you’ll hear the audio very, very clear. It’s excellent quality. I hope you’ll take advantage of that and that way you can be in on the teachings of God’s Word and learn and grow as a believer.

That’s exciting. Again, we want you to go to Israel, call and get the brochure. February 25th is a departure date, 12 full days in Israel leaving on February 25th.
