We’re going to get into the Bible for a few minutes and then we’re going to, of course, go to the callers. We’ll answer your questions today.

We’re going to go back to the book of Genesis today, and we find that man was created separately apart from all animal life. If you read Genesis 2.7, it says, man fashioned or God fashioned man out of the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. So we find here that Bible does not have a life of life. Teach Evolution, we reject evolution as being a lie told by the devil about how we came about in a godless way.

But God the Creator in verse 1 not only created the universe, but also in chapter 2, verse 7, created man separately from all of the animals. It says in verse 7, and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. And of course that’s the way we entered this planet. Adam by the way was the first human being to ever walk on the planet.

The New Testament agrees and of course Jesus endorses this whole creation story in the New Testament as well. The first Corinthians 1545 says the first man was Adam. The first man on the planet was Adam. Then if you go over to Matthew 19 we find that Jesus, referring to the creation says in verse 4 of Matthew 19, he answered and said unto them, Have you not read that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female?

Wow. So we find that Jesus is talking about the very creation of Adam and Eve and he endorses that story. Jesus Christ claims to be God and being God he is all knowing, he is also unable to lie, the Bible says in Titus 1-2 that God cannot lie. And so if Jesus is lying then he cannot be God, he cannot be the Savior and the whole Bible falls apart. But if he’s also ignorant of how man came about and is endorsing the biblical story in Genesis, then he is not omniscient and all-knowing, and therefore he’s not God.

Basically what we’re saying here is that the whole Bible ties together in such a way that it’s all true or it’s not true at all. And we believe that the Bible is all true, that man was created by God apart from all other life forms by taking dust of the ground and breathing into God’s mouth, the breath of life, and man became a living soul. Wow! So we find that the Bible teaches creation, not evolution, and even earlier in the seven days of the re-creative week, we find that when he created life, everything reproduced after its own kind or species, and nothing has ever happened differently than that throughout history.

You’ll find it says here, let the cattle come forth in the creaking things. And it says in verse 25 of Genesis 1, and God made the beast of the earth after his kind and the cattle after their kind and everything that creeped with the fondness of earth after his kind. And God saw that it was good. You know, porcupines still have little baby porcupines. Elephants still have little baby elephants. And giraffes have little baby giraffes and so on. You don’t ever wonder if your dog becomes pregnant.

I wonder what we’re going to have. Maybe it’ll be a turtle. Maybe it’ll be an alligator. Maybe it’ll be a parakeet. Oh, you know that if you have a dog, you’re going to have a dog as the offspring. If you have a cat and your cat becomes pregnant. You don’t say, I wonder what we’re going to have here. Maybe a lizard, maybe an eagle, maybe an elephant. No, you know that if you have cats, they’re going to have little kittens and you have somebody, an animal that is an offspring of the cat family.

The Bible is amazing this way. And by the way, cats and dogs cannot mate. A number of years ago, there was a newspaper article where somebody supposedly mated a dog in a cat and they called it what they called it a dad I’m not kidding this was actually in the paper but it was a little fuzzy little thing as in as a little infant and it actually turned out to be a spoof Some cut shop owner wanted to get publicity and obviously got a lot of publicity, but it wasn’t until a week later on a back page of the paper that they printed the fact that it was all a spoof and a hoax that he hadn’t made it the two together at all.

He just can’t do that. And God, of course, separates out the different species and everything reproduces after its own kind. Even Darwin in his book My Life and Letters on page 211 said that no species has ever been recorded as being transformed into another species. Never happened. And he knew that, but he was hopeful that it would happen. But still we have never yet seen a transition from one species to another. By the way in the microscope, they see that all the time.

You know little amoebas happily reproduce as amoebas. You never see an unhappy amoeba saying, I think I want to be a peremecium, or I think I want to be some other life form. It never happens. Amoebas are always amoebas and peremecium are always peremecium. You’ll always see that everything reproduces after its own kind. The Bible is a marvelous book and God is the creator and created man specifically. It’s interesting that men have tried to say that we came forth from apes or from monkeys or from some other life form and of course that is all nonsense.

If that were true, there ought to be transitional forms to demonstrate a transition from one species to another and that would be true not only for man but for every other life form on the earth and they can’t find any. When you talk about scientists saying they’re looking for the missing link, that is really a misleading statement because there ought to be millions of missing links. It ought to be everywhere evident if there was a transition from one species to another, but they never find that.

They find fully developed species and no transition in between. I used to say we came from monkeys and from apes, but now instead of being more specific, which you would have thought would have happened by now, they are becoming less specific. Why? Because they can’t find any evidence. So now they say both monkeys and apes and man all came from a common ancestor. What is that? That’s just obviously giving an excuse for not being able to figure out what we came from if evolution were true.

There is no common ancestor. But let’s just say that there weren’t. The fossil record then should record transitions between that common ancestor and man. Where is the 99% common ancestor 1% man, the 98% common ancestor 2% man, the 97% common ancestor 3% man, the 96% common ancestor 4% man. They’ll finally get to the other end of the scale when When you have 4% common ancestor, 96% man, you have 3% common ancestor, 97% man, you have the 2% common ancestor, 1% man, and then you finally have 100% man.

Well if you do the math and you add up all of those transitional forms, you really should have 99% transitional forms or 99% missing links. In other words, every time your dog Fido comes home with a bone, you say, Fido, wow, you found another missing link. Because there should be 99 out of every 100 bones in the earth should be a transitional form. They can’t find one. There is no missing link. We were created by God out of the dust of the ground, and God breathed into our nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

That first man was Adam, 1st Corinthians 1545. Jesus in several places in the New Testament endorses the creation story. If it’s not true, then obviously Christ cannot be God, he cannot be the Savior. The whole Bible comes crashing down. I think Satan knows that. And that’s why I think this is a lie out of the pit of hell that we have evolved. is not new. It was taught back in the days of ancient Egypt. They said we evolved out of the ooze of the Nile and so on.

These beliefs have always been around. But the Bible teaches the very opposite. This book is right on. With DNA evidence now, I think they’re really going to have a lot more trouble every day because they’ve now discovered with DNA, they’ve checked out crow magnum man and they found out there’s absolutely no connection between humans and and chromagnet man. So obviously, DNA is going to come to our aid to show that evolution is not true, that there’s not a transition from one species to another.

I’m Dr. Englinstren. This is my blind. Great to be with you today and we look forward to hearing from you. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. We’re going to go to Canada. As our first caller is in Ontario, Canada, and we are going to talk to Claude. Claude, welcome to Bibleline. You are on the air. Claude, you’re on the air. Hello, brother. Yeah, Claude, you’re on the air. Hello, Claude. Yeah, I have a question now. Go ahead. Yeah, I like to hear on the radio.

I like to know about the Cedra the Christian Church. The what Christian Church? And the… etc. Church of Christ. Any difference between those two or any cold or what? You have any null to bother? The Church of Christ, as I know it, I think 2.5 million members are works for salvation. They believe in water baptism, for salvation, keeping the commandments and that you can be lost once you become saved. So I believe that they are certainly far from the truth.

and they are somewhat have been accused of mind control and brainwashing and so i would stay away from the the church of christ uh… you have to check out each church’s doctor statement generally the church christ the denomination is heavy duty on water baptism as being essential uh… for salvation about the center of christian church well the christian church is usually the their former name was the disciples of Christ. And they also teach, you must be a disciple to be saved, you’re saved by baptism and by following the teachings of Christ and living the Christian life.

So again they would be wrong. The disciples of Christ are the Christian church and they teach basically works for salvation. So they all want the same, similar to them? Well they’re similar but their structure is different but their message is essential to them. the truth or and they are saved or no no i don’t believe it’s a bit on it we were trying to get the help of the works and it will not be safe if you’re tempted to be saved by water baptism or by church membership or by living a christian life you’re not going to make it into heaven so both of them they are out of the line that’s right thank you very much sir okay thank you claudit thank you very much i bless you applaud that’s in on terryo canada and uh…

great great to hear from you We’re now going to go to Peter in Clearwater, Peter. Welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning, Dr. Liss. My question this morning is concerned about like when we talked about like Israel and the state performed in 1948. How can we know that all those people that are living in Israel right now and those people who came back are original Jews? We know that Israel was invaded by many countries over the years and those countries, you know, the people assimilated into Israel.

Now, I’ve spoken to a lot of Jews, and not one of them to tell me what tribe they’re from. You know, they’re say, I’m an acidic Jew or I’m such and such a Jew, but nobody can tell me I’m from the tribe of Judah. I’m from Levi. So how do we know that those people are the original Jews there? Well, you know… You know, the Jewish people can’t tell you what tribes are from because the genealogical records were destroyed in 8070 when Rome thoroughly destroyed Jerusalem where the records were kept at the temple and the temple site and dispersed the Jews throughout the world.

But by tradition, they’ve always told their children of Jewish and they have been on people that have been marked out and have been separate and different. They’ve wondered among the nations just like the Bible predicted. And God of course told this people would come back from all over the world, from nations around the world, and they’re still flooding back from Russia, from Europe, and from other countries. And obviously they have those Jewish heritage. Now, well they can tell you which tribe they’re from, I don’t believe they can.

But apparently though of the pre-Slee Jews, they have a special DNA that they have been able now to single out 2,000 men in Israel today. They believe are from the family of co-hats of the tribe of Levi, the ones that could handle the sacrifices as they prepare to rebuild their temple and offer blood sacrifices again. So I believe that clearly they’re there. There’s no other reason why they would go back. were a persecuted people, a hiddler rounded up six million of them and killed them, exterminated them, and those who were not killed began to move back to Israel in 1948 and even before that.

But that’s when the nation became a nation again for the first time in 2000 years. And God said, this would be a fulfillment of prophecy. We’re seeing it happen. God said, I will cause the Jewish people to return to the land that I gave to their fathers and they shall possess it. year my 30 verse 3 and that was written about I don’t think there’s any doubt that we’re watching prophecy fulfilled before our very eyes today. But our Egyptian.

But the scripture says that there were Jews from every nation in Israel at one time, right? Every nation. Now I spoke to Jew and in the spring of the month I am a black man and I told this man that, hey, I’m a Jew. He laughed at me. But then if you read Paul, Paul was statement for an Egyptian, all with, was from powerful. We’re with powerful. We’re with powerful. We’re with powerful. We’re with It’s up in what’s Turkey today.

But there are black Jews. Obviously they had a few years back what they called Operation Moses where the air lifted. where the air lifted, I think about 30,000 to 40,000 Jews out of Ethiopia in the Israel. So there are black Jews, there are Jews that are coming in from the Orient all over the world back in the land and they’re all part of the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and you can take it but that means there could be Chinese Jews just to be French Jews there could be Jews from every nation You got it right, that’s exactly right.

And that’s what’s happened today. They are from nations all over the earth, Peter, and they’re of all colors. Thank you so much for the call and we’re going to go to Roy in the very Florida. Roy, welcome. Bye, Blaine. You’re on there. How you doing, Dr. Hank? Good. I’m pretty much as far as I know properly. But my question is, has the regular 9-5 indeed is receiving a salary from the church? Well, obviously he needs to be able to earn his weight.

Paul did something similar. made tents on the side to supplement what the church gave him as he was not fully supported in the early days of his ministry. And so I don’t think there’s a problem with that. But obviously if he can be relieved of that financial burden of having to work a secular job, he would be more able to do more for the body of Christ in that local church. if the church could fully support him that would be the ideal situation but what happens when the church is unable to support him but does he have a burden well i don’t think so i think he’s uh…

you know obviously uh… doing what he has to do is uh… i’m going to support his family and uh… he uh… obviously has to eat and have clothes on his back and so uh… if you read the new testament uh… paul certainly did that very same thing he was a great example to us I agree but what I’m saying is he has a regular fifty a year to take care of your family properly. Well the church is responsible. Hopefully the church will step up to the plate so he can quit that job.

And that’s really the ideal situation. Okay. My next question is this. I’m going to hand you up and I’ll link your F on this. As far as the apostolic churches concerned, what do you fill out with them? Well, I think we that’s not a good name. I think let me just say goodbye to Miami. They’re listening down in Miami and we have to go off the air early with you guys down there. But thank you for tuning in today.

Again, we do need your help out of Miami to be able to get that full hour and also to continue down there. So pray for us if you can give a gift to Bible, and it would help. Thank you, Miami. All right, I’m back to you, Roy. But there are no more apostles today. And to claim to be an apostolic church, many of them are claiming sometimes a connection back to the apostles. Now, vividly, we can obviously say we’re preaching and teaching today what the apostles taught 2000 years ago.

But generally, there’s a lot of bad baggage that comes along with that name. When the churches I’ve seen that call themselves apostles today or say that they’re apostolic, sometimes they’re teaching a mixture of grace plus works and it’s not a very clear doctrine. And thank you for calling in Roy. And that was in Deberry, Florida. We’re getting here up on our break time, let me remind you again. This program is streamed to the internet on our website BibleLineMinistries.org. You can go there and catch the full program, and also you can catch past programs and download them for your MP3 player, your iPod, and use them in your down-a-mound them in your computer.

We’re so glad to be able to be with you and I hope you enjoy being with us every day. And this is Bibleline and we’re at 4811 George Road in Tampa, Florida, just a block west of the Tampa National Airport. We’d love to have you come by and say hello today or any day that you’re in the area. If you fly in or drive into Florida from other states, please take a minute and come by and see us. And we do have many to do that.

You’re welcome to come by on a worship day. And we worship on Wednesdays and Sundays in particular. We have other things going on during the week. But those are the main things. We have a Tuesday night study right now in 1 Peter. And we’re right now finished with 1, 2, 3 and 4 classes. That’s 4 hours of teaching. are available already on CD and DVD if you’d like to order them you can. You can wait until we’re done and you can get the complete set of CDs and DVDs on the first Peter study and you can call in and get all those things just by a phone call.

Or on the internet I believe we’ll soon have it up on our online bookstore so you can order it off of there. We’re getting I’m ready to go to Israel and I’ve been told as of yesterday, we can still get you on the trip. If you, we don’t have much more time to get you on, but it’s still possible if you want to go. So give me a call and we’ll try to get that all going for you. Also, we want you to know that we have a resource sheet.

We can send out a brand new one for 2008. Little list are resources and things in our resource center. We have the Schofield Bible. We have commentaries, concordances, and lots of different books and materials that will help you in evangelism and growing in your knowledge of the scripture. We also have CDs and DVDs of different classes that I’ve taught. I’ve taught really for three different Bible colleges that I love to teach, and we have about 40 presentations of 10 to 12 hours of teaching.

Of course, the longest one was the Gospel of John that we just finished. It’s about 20 hours of teaching. We did it in 18 class hours, but each class was a little over an hour and so an hour and five minutes times 18 class periods turns out to be well over 20 hours that you’ll get if you get to see these of that teaching. You’ll find it excellent and we can’t hardly keep on the shelf. People love the Gospel of John.

We’re ready to go back now and do the second half hour of Bible ends. to keep your in your tune right where it is, and we’ll start the second half hour, and we hope that you’ll stay with us and be a part of Bibleline the second half hour now as we come to you from Tampa, Florida, from our Student Music Calvary Community Church. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lynch from a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771.

That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We’re back from that break and you can hear our music and we didn’t have that a little bit earlier. But we’re glad to be back with you and it’s fun to be with you every day. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida, for most videos here at the Calvary Community Church. We invite you to come by. You’re welcome to anytime you want. Come by and knock on the door and we have visitors all day long.

And sometimes they’re from all over the country as they come into Florida. They come by to say hi. We are excited about that and we’d love to meet you and love to have you become a part of our worship service. If you come on a Wednesday or Sunday, you’re welcome to come out and sit in our services. Right now, sitting first Peter on Tuesday nights, you’re still able to, if you’re in driving distance, come and be in those last six class hours over the next three weeks from about 7.15 to 9.15, we’d love to have you come.

Also you can order them on CD and DVD. That’s right. You can also get copies of my worship services on DVD and also on CD. If you go to the website, you can watch those sermons for the past year sitting there. If you click on the camera at 11 o’clock Sunday morning, you’ll get the worship service live. But if you’re doing during the week, you get the archives and you’ll have a year’s worth of messages sitting there right there for you to enjoy.

I hope you’ll do that. We want you to know we are listeners supported. And by the way, your help is indispensable. We are totally dependent upon our listeners for support. And your prayers and your gifts are coveted. We really want you to be a part of us and be partners with us in getting the message of the gospel out. And so you can do that by telephone. Over the telephone lines, you can give a gift by credit card over the phone or you can call and ask for envelopes to be sent with our address on it and you can mail your gift to Bible and that would help us.

We’re ready to go to the back to the phone lines. We have several callers already waiting. We have Ron in Tampa, Florida and Ron, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yeah. Is there any place in the Bible that television should be made in the church? Well certainly they should be biblical decisions. In other words they should be in line with the Scripture. If you turn to 1 Timothy 3 and Titus chapter 1, it talks about the leadership of the church is responsible before God to guide or guard against false teaching.

It says in verse 13, and this is directed to elders and beacons, those that are in charge. It says, here, whole fast, the form of sound doctrine, which thou hast heard of me. Paul is writing the Timothy and certainly we are to hold to good doctrine. It says here in verse 9 of Titus, holding fast the faithful word as he have been taught that he might be able to sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gay sares.

For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision whose mouths must be stopped. So basically make sure the churches sound doctorally and make sure that those that are unruly and vain talkers and deceivers that their mouths are stopped. That you tell them that they are wrong and that they cannot spread their evil teachings among the body of Christ. That also helps a little bit, but the Bible gives lots of instructions and certainly the leadership is responsible to guide the church in the spiritual areas.

Should the pastor’s board and they get together they meet and they discuss the decision, to say but then final decision he says no and it’s done that way. Is that a way to go? Well I think every church has their own type of government which I think is all right to have different forms but you know somebody has to be a leader and if you don’t have any confidence in your pastor, then I don’t see how the church will hold together.

But somebody has to lead and somebody has to say, this is where we’re going. And obviously, if he’s a leader, then those that are under him should follow and say, we agree that he’s a godly man. He’s taking us on a course that’s in line with scripture where we ought to be going and you follow them. Nobody is a leader unless he has followers. Of course, there is abuses today, and that is why usually there is in almost every church several leaders at the top that are there to guard against things that are wrong.

That is what it does here in Titus as well. There the whole fast of faithful. A word as they have been taught and to be able to make sure the church is sound and spiritually headed in line with God’s word. So that’s a tough question. Obviously, if you’re not in agreement with a particular church, then you really probably ought to leave and find a church where you find the doctrine of sound and where you find yourself able to serve and there is a wonderful spirit.

You know, the Bible says in 2 Corinthians chapter 3, that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. And there’s a sense of love and freedom and agreement in a good church where you’re able to say, we’re all with the same purpose and the same. We’re heading in the straighten direction, and everybody puts their shoulder to the wheel, and we all work together to accomplish it. Paul wrote to the Corinthian believers and told them that they were divided and how that they needed to be on the same page.

And again, I think by making sure everybody’s taught the Word of God and that your have sound doctrine, everybody can come online. But let me just read this interesting verse in 1 Corinthians chapter 1. It says in verse 10, he says, I beseech you, brethren, let’s say I plead with you, I urge with you, urge you, I beg you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you all speak the same thing and there be no divisions among you that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

I always like if there’s any dissension about an idea within our leadership board to just postpone because I believe that we should be of the same mind and sometimes somebody descending might be a good word of caution for us to reflect and reconsider something. But if we can all be in the same mind, that’s ideal. That’s what Paul told the Korean people he was going to be. The same mind is speaking the same things. And as we are really biblically rooted and grounded, we should be able to do that.

I appreciate it. Thank you and appreciate that call. It was Ron in Tampa, Florida. We now have Rodney in Richmond, Virginia. Rodney, welcome to Bible In. Yes. How you doing, sir? Good. Good. I’m on here. You are on the air. All right. Listen, the pastor just now was telling the guy that Paul was a tent maker and a lot of people that don’t understand the Jewishness of the Bible think that it’s actually a physical tent, but actually called me to leap.

Preach y’all. So when the So when the Bible says, 10th. Well, I’ll have to take a fresh look at that because I hadn’t heard that before until just now. Yeah. Get the complete Jewish Bible. It breaks all that stuff down and tells you all about that. Well, thank you for letting us know. Thank you, Rodney. I’m in Richmond, Virginia. And we’ll take a new look at that. And I’m not too sure I’m convinced that’s the right answer, but I’m going to definitely look that up.

Adam in Tampa, Florida. Welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Yeah, my question is from Matthew in chapter 22 that the one. Yeah, he’s not a believer, obviously. The wedding garment, I think, is a picture of the salvation garment that all of us as believers have, which is the righteousness of Christ. It’s pictured as that. And obviously he was cast in that darkness, or is weeping in the ash and teeth. That’s hell. So he’s lost. Actually, the picture is the millennium is this wedding feast, the celebration of the marriage of the Lamb to his bride, which is the church.

And when the millennium begins, only believers will enter in. All unbelievers will be excluded. And so when Christ comes back at the rapture, He catches us up the believers now, which are the church. And when he comes back seven years later with his bride, only believers are invited into the millennium to celebrate the marriage supper of the Lamb, which is this thousand-year celebration on the earth of Christ getting married to his bride. And this is a picture of a lost guy.

And I think the illustration is that no unbelievers are going to be allowed in. And that’s the big point being made in that Matthew 22 passage. here he’s attempting to enter in and he’s cast out because he’s not saved. So only say will enter into the thousand year reign of price. Hope that helps and thank you. Yeah one more question. Okay sure. In chapter 25, it appears like a king. I understand that. It seems like it’s talking to you.

When you go there, it kind of sounds like a work-based salvation. You can put comment on that. I appreciate it. Well, again, you have to look carefully. And of course, in verse 21 and 23, it calls the first two fellows good. And we know in chapter 19, Jesus said, why did you call me good? There’s none good but one that’s God. So we know that nobody’s good of themselves. Romans 3 12 says there’s none to do with good, no not one.

For somebody to be called good or righteous in the Bible, they must have that righteousness or goodness imputed to their account based upon Christ’s substitute very death. So this is clearly a believer. Then what they did with the talents, their faithfulness in dealing with that brought about rewards. So he says, you’ve been faithful over a few things. I’ll make you ruler over many things and that’s rewards in the Millennium for the faithful believer. So he saved, he’s called good, he’s faithful, he gets rewarded accordingly.

The last guy was wicked, that means he’s unsaved, he’s not a believer, he’s standing before God is in his own righteousness which is filthy rags in the Bible says. And so his degree of punishment in hell though will be based upon his works and so it also mentioned he’s thoughtful. So I think those are the two issues that are going on. The fact that he’s unsaved, he’s wicked and that he’s also thoughtful, so he’ll receive a degree of punishment for that slothfulness as well.

Thank you for calling in and we’re now going to go to Michael in Wesley Chapel and Michael, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Yes, hello, how you doing? Good. Yeah, I had a question for you, and that is in reference to what you were mentioning earlier with believe in any type of save, because I’ve even heard you say you’ve been referenced to Dr. Dobson before that you felt that he wasn’t saved because he said that he felt that he needs to persevere to the end.

And I had a question for you concerning that, and that is if a person had a, and they did believe in what they always saved. And they believed that first they had a decade or so, and then they read verses in the Bible that seemed to make them believe that they could lose their salvation, but they had a one-time true conversion. No, that’s not true. They would forever be saved if they ever got saved. And then they just obviously would be misleading others, and I think they would lose out on their own personal joy of the full assurance that a believer can have and be misleading people that they would be talking to by what they would later be presenting as really a money-dubbed message at the least and a curse message at the most as it says in relation to one when you alter or change the gospel and become perverted and becomes a curse.

So yeah, they would still be saved. Now when you say that you feel that Dr. Dobson isn’t saved, how do you know he didn’t have a true conversion and a salvation because you say that you don’t think he is saved? Well if you listen to him, you know, especially when he did his eulogy over his father, his father, he really plainly said was in heaven because he was faithful to the end. And I listened to it and it was a lot of passion, a lot of motion.

And obviously I sympathize with him and his loss of his father and how much his father meant him and his father was his mentor. But that was the teaching that apparently he had from a child being raised in the Nazarene faith which is again basically based on works. Every Nazarene I’ve ever talked to, I ask them right from the get go. Can you lose your salvation? Of course, they always say yes, and they believe that you have to live the Christian life to be saved, which is works, and clearly not that.

And so I think that he’s believed this way all of his life. I don’t think it was something that he changed his mind from and became something else later, but I think from the get-go. And he’s taught his children that. So, I’ve heard him on his programs many times say, for my children that they would live faithfully to the end so that they will go to heaven as well. So he obviously very plainly teaches living the Christian life is essential to getting yourself to heaven, which is works and it’s just not correct.

So. I think that’s not what the Bible teaches and so I pray for Dr. Dobson. I pray that he would enter heaven with us but if he’s trusting in his works he will let. Now those who say they don’t believe and once they’ve always saved they say they don’t believe in works. As Paul said that we can’t be saved by works but then they will say that Paul said also that even though he did say that He can’t be saved but works but he says that when he was speaking to King of Grepah, he said that he preached to the Jews and the Gentiles that they should turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

So that they would say that they’re not saved by their deeds or their works but they prove that they are a transit by the life that they live. Well certainly every believer should do works and obviously I teach people to live for Christ and dedicate their lives to serving all the days of their life, but not as a means of their salvation. But those who say they believe you can lose it, but they don’t believe in works, really, I don’t think are thinking it through because you and I diagram it for them and I say, look here is where you are right now on a timeline.

I’ll draw it on a piece of paper and I’ll say that here, over here to your right is a place where we’ll say that’s when you’re going to die. Let me see if I’m getting this thing right. I’m going to draw now a line that kind of jags on upward until the day you die, that you’re moving upward and getting better in your Christian life and living faithless for the Lord and then you die. You would tell me that if you live the Christian life successfully you would go to heaven.

Is that right? And they say, of course. And then I would say, well, let me draw a no line here. Let’s say that you get started. You make a decision for Christ. and then let’s say you backslide in this line goes downhill and is below the line here at the point of your death and you have backslidden and you’ve gotten away from the Lord and you die what would happen then and say well I’d go to hell. And then I say well if you look between point A and B here how you live your life then is what you think will determine whether you make heaven or not.

That makes you the Savior and you’re trusting in your works and I’ve had a lot of people all of a sudden say, whoa, one guy told me that’s heavy. He hadn’t really, he in one word he’d say, I’m not trusting in my works but I said in reality you’re trusting how you live out your life to get you to heaven and if you do that I believe you’re not saved. You’re trusting in your works and you’re not saved at all.

So they admit later that they were wrong and that they were trusting in their works. You know, sometimes people don’t connect the dots, but if you draw it out for them and say, if you’re telling me that it’s something that you do or do not do in your future determines whether you make heaven or not, that’s a false plan of salvation. That’s based on you, it’s based on your works. Whereas the true plan of salvation takes the lost dying sinner and always points you back to the cross where Jesus said it’s finished.

So I don’t look to my future for my salvation. I looked to what happened at the cross 2000 years ago where Jesus said he paid my sin debt in full. Because I trusted in his finished work for me at the cross. I’m saved. I knew that the night that I trusted Christ and I’ve always known that and never have I had any doubt that I’m going to go to heaven when I serve Christ or when I don’t. But I live for Christ because I love him.

I’m grateful for what he did for me. But my service to him in no wise what I do or don’t do it jeopardizes my salvation which which was a gift purchased by christen what he did for me Right, and then so then even if someone did was trusting in any type of works, if they had a true conversion of faith, they would be saved regardless if they were trusting in works or not. Absolutely Michael. We agree with on it.

Okay. Thank you. thank you michael and it was michael and wesley chapel florida we now have uh… britston in jakson go for the britston welcome to buy one year yes i do it I just have two quick questions. I know yesterday you were saying about people should be careful what they read. I was just wondering what is a good book to get. I have a Bible, but I would like another book like a Bible book that breaks it down.

So ask that question. We have two, let me just stop and say we have two. we have two commentaries here that we recommend very highly the uh… Jay Vernon McGee, 5 Volume commentary. That retails for $200. We have it here for a hundred. What a wonderful commentary that is. He gives you some straight shooting stuff on every chapter of the Bible. And we also have the Jameson Fossep Brown. It’s a three-volume commentary. Right now we have some leftovers of broken sets.

We have volume one and volume three. but it’s going to be reprinted and probably another month will have the complete three volume sets and those are wonderful. They cover every verse of the Bible. Those are the best too. I think that are out there, but we have certainly some one volume books here also that will greatly help you as you work your way through the Bible. So you can call our resource center and talk to our people and they’ll guide you toward getting some things that will build you a little library.

Alright, thank you. And I have one more question. Okay. You were thinking about talking in tongues yesterday. I didn’t catch the whole thing. Is talking in tongues for real or is it just real in the Bible back when they did it? Okay. Yeah. yet the real gift is gone it it’s east at the end of the first century and uh… what is done today is a counterfeit it is a gibberish that’s done by all the world religions is done by the mormons are not even close to being christian and they jibber along with everybody else and uh…

and uh… and uh… there’s over a half a million charismatic roman catholics in this country today and uh… obviously if you believe Roman Catholic doctrine, you’re not saved, and why is it that all these people do it? Buddhist do it, people in Islam do it. It’s done by all the tribes and the jungle and Africa and South America, Central America. It’s worldwide. In Australia, wherever you are in the world, the gibberish is still done. That’s the kind of it that’s always been around.

But the real gift was a known foreign language, and nobody on the planet is doing that without being taught that language, it’s an incredible gift that God gave at the very beginning. The reason why he gave it was that he was switching from the Jewish people being his witnesses, Isaiah 43-10, to the Gentiles being his witnesses. On day one, to have that happen, remember those at Pentecost were all Jewish. The laws there were Jewish and in order for them to hear the gospel in a Gentile language on the first day of this Gentile age, God had to give the gift of Gentile languages to these apostles and Jews that would be witnessing in the day of Pentecost.

But as the gospel went out and people in Gentile countries got saved, the gift was no longer necessary because today Jews in German here being won the Christ by German Christians telling them about Christ in German. French Christians are witnessing the Jews in France, in French and leading Jews in France, to Christ in France, not in Hebrew. And here in America I’ve led many, many, many Jewish people to Christ and I’ve been in English, not in Hebrew. And so that’s what God said would be the plan for this age, is that Jews would be witnessed to in Gentile languages and at the first the miracle gift of the languages had to be given How did you give it so it could happen for the very first day?

Oh, okay. I was just wondering because I’m not some of my end log. I guess I don’t know. You got sick and prayer. I had a family get together. And it was and each one of my aunt took turns like at some point in time during the prayer. And they were speaking in tongues and I guess interpreting what they were saying. And I didn’t want to say what it was really bad. I don’t know. What the… What they’re doing is not a known foreign language, and if you ask them, they don’t understand what they’re saying, it’s just gibberish, and they really have no clue what they’re saying, and nobody on the earth can understand what they’re saying either.

There’s a book out published by Moody Press called Tongues to Speak or Not to Speak by a Man named Burdock, and he took hundreds of thousands of hours of recordings of tongue-speaking messages to different universities and professors in linguistics and they all agreed that there was no known language being spoken at all. This is just purely gibberish and is not a real language and that’s contrary to what the Bible teaches. Sure, thank you for calling. We have lots more callers here that we couldn’t get up on the air.
