We look forward to being with you every day. This is, of course, a Wednesday. This Sunday is our third Sunday, and we will be having a dinner. It’s always a dinner day. On the third Sunday, you can come, be I guess, for the 1030 service and stay for the wonderful lunch dinner. That will happen right after church. We have lots of wonderful, home good food. It’ll be a great time of food and fellowship. You’re welcome. Your deputy time is to bring your family or neighbors.

You can bring your whole block. But come on out. It’s a good time to come from a distance because you can actually join my 915 adults study, the kids in Sunday school, you can stay for the worship service and join us for lunch. Be my guest. We hope you’ll do that. Last night, we finished the 10 hours of teaching on 1st Peter. So that one is a wrap. You can order the CDs or the DVDs. That’s right. You can actually put it in your DVD player and play it on that Jumbo trauma, Toronto Home and entertain your whole family and your neighborhood if you have them over to study 1st Peter.

We did 10 hours of teaching and those 10 hours are now available on CD and DVD. Just call and you can order them. The class we did before that was 20 hours of teaching on John’s Gospel. We did 10 hours on the first half and 10 hours on the second half. So you could order it in two parts if you like because it is the largest one we’ve ever done. But you’re welcome to call in and get those on CD or DVD as well.

We’re going to produce them now with DVDs. And by the way, our Sunday servants are also available on DVD. But also you can go to the website there and click on the camera and get our archives. There’s a year’s when the servants sitting there for you to watch and listen to. I hope you’ll do that. We’re leaving for Israel shortly and when we get back we’ll do second Peter and we’ll finish out the Peter series. That’ll be great. We hope that you will maybe get the entire set.

Right now, first Peter is available. As of today, you can order the CDs and the DVDs and their available ship out even today. We have quite a number of wonderful books in our resource center. By the way, if you get a chance to come by, take a look. We have some new books by Dwight Pentecost. We have his Things to Come, which is a classic. Wow, that is one of my favorite books. And that is a gem. We have things that become sound doctrine, an excellent book.

If you want to know the essential basic doctrines that a believer ought to be grounded in, really, really great. We have a book called Bouncing the Christian Life by Charles Wiry. What an excellent book for the new believer especially. Talking about giving, talking about tons, talking about the difference between salvation and worship or discipleship and talking about basic issues that the new believer needs to become acquainted with prayer and the importance of Bible study and fellowship and what our duties and responsibilities are as a believer.

We’re called Balancing the Christian Life by Charles Reye. We have quite a few other books by him and they are all great. We have some great books on that. Daniel Revelation and an overall view of all of prophecy by Clarence Larkin with lots of charts, visuals to help you, and those are also great books. We’re trying to stock more and more as we can afford to do that to build our inventory and have a good collection of great spiritual books that will help you grow.

Most Christian books are the stores that become gift shops, and all you have is t-shirts, paintings, trinkets, bracelets, and all kinds of things, except very little on good sound teaching of the Bible. That’s unfortunate. And plus they sell many of the Bibles that have been corrupted, and we hope that you’ll advantage of the old Stofield Reference Bible, which is going to keep you right on target. By the way, we have a book called New Age Bible Versions that covers about 20 of the most modern translations and shows you how that many of the major doctrines have been assaulted in this day and time where the publishers now that publish these things are becoming secular companies that want to make a profit.

And so they really don’t care whether we get an accurate Bible or not. They care about having their own exclusive copyright and making money. Unfortunately, that’s the name of the game. And so therefore we are in trouble, really, when it comes to some of these translations because they promote them as being the Word of God, but they have really departed. Let me have you go with me in the Bible for a a little bit and then we’re going to go ahead and answer the phone lines.

But if you turn in your Bible to Jeremiah 23, it talks here in particular about the latter days which we are living in right now. It says here in chapter 23 in verse 18 and I love this because I marked my Bible. I take my pen, I mark it, I’ve worn out several and the one I have now is about ready to fall apart. And it says here in verse 18, for who have I have said in the Council of the Lord?

And who have I perceived and heard his word? Who have marked his word and heard it? And I love that phrase, who has marked his word? Well, I don’t necessarily think it’s talking about taking a highlighter or pen and marking your Bible, but certainly to take mental note of what God has said and mark it in your mind. Put itAdds there as a bookmark and remember what God has said so that you can evaluate what you are hearing and reading and practicing in the life of God’s Word.

Well, God says here that he is not happy with what men have done in departing from his His Word in verse 20 says, The anger of the Lord shall not return until he has executed till he has performed the thought of his heart in the latter days. You shall consider it perfectly. That’s us today. This is Jeremiah, written at twenty-six hundred years ago, but he’s talking about today. And he says, The anger of the Lord shall not return until he has executed, till he has performed the thoughts of its heart in the latter days, you shall consider it perfectly.

Then it talks here about preachers. Are you ready for this? Jeremiah 23 21 says, I have not sent these preachers yet they ran. I have not spoken to these preachers yet they have preached. Isn’t that amazing? It’s telling us that many that are in ministry aren’t even saved. They’re not born again. I remember a lady a number of years ago who came to me and she said, would you pray for our pastor? And I said, I’d be happy to.

Is there anything specifically that I should pray for? And she says, yes, we are praying that he’ll get saved. Oh my goodness, isn’t that a shame when you have a church under a dead hen, somebody spiritually dead who is not able to lead and guide. And there are many in ministry that really don’t believe the Bible to be the Word of God. I remember in college I visited some of the student unions on campus at the University of Florida while I was a student.

And I would ask the questions and I would go to the directors of them. One of them in fact said that he didn’t believe the Bible was the Word of God. He didn’t believe in hell. And he graduated from a seminary. I mean, a seminary. Sometimes they are. He was liberal in this theology, didn’t believe the Bible to be the word of God, and I said, why don’t you get another job? I was disappointed. Here I went there looking for help.

He was looking for a place to fellowship and I found out that I was entering not a place of life and good teaching but a muscle in where all they had was a pretty building and inside it was spiritually dead. Just like Christ said outwardly you are like a woman. like a white sepulchre, a beautifully white painted gray, but inward you are this dead men’s bones. Well, I could go on and on, but not how many ministers I have encountered in my past that don’t even know the Lord.

Get their preaching. Notice what God says here in verse 21. I have not sent these preachers, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they have preached. And we find here that if they had God says in verse 22, if they had stood in my counsel, they would have caused my people to hear my words. You see, if you are a good minister or a good preacher, you’re going to have people into the Word of God and you’re going to have them learning how to read the Bible, how to discern the Bible, how to rightly divide the Bible.

And this is seldom happening anymore. In fact, the Bible is seldom used. We find here that he goes further down in this chapter and says, I’ve heard the preachers that preach and the preach lies in my name saying I have dreamed, I have dreamed. So many today are having visions and dreams and they’re not from God. These are not happening today my friend. Those things have ceased and it won’t happen again until the second coming and right now Now we have a lot of people dreaming up their own words and you know when it contradicts the Bible you can know that they’re wrong.

This is not from God because it says in Isaiah 8 20, if they speak not according to this word, that is the word of God is because there is no light in them. That’s right, no light, no light. Isaiah 8 20, write that down, that,,scommittee verse, if they speak not according to this word, the word of God is because there is no light in them. It goes down in verse 26 and says in Jeremiah chapter 26, “‘How long shall this be?’

In the heart of the preachers that preach lies. Yea, they are preachers of the deceit of their own heart. I’ve heard quite a few tell me, not me directly, but on their television program, on radio, that they’ve actually gone to heaven and come back. If you believe that, I could probably say the Book and Bridge. That is not true, you are980 You are not going to be able to leave and come back. The Bible says in Hebrews 927, it is appointed unto men once to die and then the judgment.

If you die, you are not coming back. You either will go to Hades in the heart of the earth where you will eventually beMember of eternal life and fire, or you will go to heaven. And the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5 8, absent from the body, present with the Lord. Watch out. For those who claim that they die and they come back, I understand there’s going to be one on television tonight with one of the national shows on Fox.

And obviously I reject all of that as not being true. Just read Hebrews 9.27 and ask yourself, the only die once, you don’t die. Come back from the dead and come back and die again. That is absolutely contrary to the scripture. Well, as we go on here in Jeremiah 23, God says, therefore, behold, I am against the preachers, saith the Lord, that steal my words every one from his neighbor. They steal away the word of God by substituting other teachings and other doctrines that are contrary to the Bible.

It says here I am against them, that use their tongues and say, he saith. If you have ever been misquoted, doesn’t that make you a little angry when somebody claims that you said something that you didn’t say? And look at how many preachers claim that God said this or said that, and God said, I didn’t say that. I didn’t say that. I didn’t say that. And it makes God very angry. And here he says, I’m against them. Why? Because the user tongues, they say, he says, God said I didn’t say that.

Well anyway, God says this is what the last days would be like and I believe that we have a lot of false teachings. You know in 2 Timothy chapter 4 it says in the last days that there would be a lot of bad teaching and it says they shall not endure sound doctrine. But after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears and They’ll turn away their ears from the truth. And we turn under lies or fables, and we certainly see that today.

This is a day of apostasy or departure from the scriptures. And it really is unfortunate because the result is confusion. Look at what’s happening in our country. There is no clear voice for the truth, or for the Word of God. It appears that the preachers are preaching whatever comes out of their imagination and not from the Word of God. the mouth of God from his word. I’m Dr. Inchlinschroom. This is ByBlind. We’re going to take our collars. We have collars.

Stack it up already. You’re welcome to call us at 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. And we’re going to go to Chattanooga, Tennessee, and we have an anonymous call over there. Welcome to my blind you are on the air. Hello Chattanooga. Well I don’t Are you there? Yes, I am. Oh good. You’re on here. Okay. My question is this, Ephesians 6 verses 10-3-19. I’d like for you to explain today, and I’m sure some other people would like to know what it’s about too.

And reason I’m asking this question, I know that I’m sorry. I don’t know that I’m saved in my grace and not by works. I believe the Bible. But I have, unfortunately, realized that I have misapplied so many Scriptures, and I’ve gotten them out of context, and I found this through reading the word and saying my mistakes. And it’s a real downer. I’m just trying to figure out now how does a Christian find out. a new creation process, how do you know what parts of that Bible so apply to your life and that you can take and share share and use in your life and share with others and not be out.

Miss really no. Well, you know, it’s a common question and it’s a good one. Excellent question and that is you have to study. Second Timothy, 215 says study to show thyself approved as a workman. Not a bookworm, but a workman needs not to be ashamed, rightly divided into order of truth. So you have to study and you have to set the truths of God’s Word in right order and separate scriptures that are not talking to you from those that are talking to you, and certainly we are not under the Old Testament law today.

So obviously the blessings and the curses of the law are not for us, but there are many, especially the health, wealth, and prosperity preachers all take the blessings that God promised to Israel about there being rich and prosperous and apply them to the church. It’s really just bad theology. They don’t take the curses, they really ought to take the curses, the bad with the good. But you know one day when God comes, when Christ comes back at the second coming, seven years after the rapture Israel is going to be the head nation on the earth and they’re going to be the richest nation and according to the Bible and Deuteronomy they’ll no longer be the tail nation, they’ll be the head nation and they won’t borrow money as they do now anymore but they’ll be loaning money to other countries around the world and they’re going to be rich.

Greebe the richest nation on the planet. Many wonderful promises are still yet to be fulfilled for israel i recommend the old school bill by more and i recommend the uh… booked by doctors co-field widely divided toward now if you have a a internet access you can go to my website and if you look at the left side of my website on the home page there are three books that we have we call online books the first is uh… the handbook on personal evangelism as a dynamite book that will tell you how to lead someone else to Christ.

We also have that in a soft cover binding. We have it in English and in Spanish. That’ll be real help. The second we have, there is this one rightly divided into word of truth by Dr. C. I. Scofill. You can look at all 10 chapters. You can read them there on the internet. If you want, you can print them out on your printer and that will be an excellent help for you. But here are the fees in Chapter 6.

It is talking about the believer now doing battle for God. Let me just say that as it tells us about putting it on the armor so that we can stand against the attacks of the devil, in the heart of this it says in verse 15, and your feet should be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. This is often forgotten and not taught on in this chapter. A lot of Christians are saying I’m going to put on the armor, but if you put on the armor and you don’t go anywhere, you don’t need the armor.

You know, it’s interesting. I think it reminds me of a museum. You go there and you see the armor of some of the Spanish soldiers and from ancient times and what they wore into battle. But this just sits there in the museum corner. Does it move? Does it do anything? Does it accomplish anything? We are to prepare our feet to take us with the gospel. We are to prepare ourselves to tell people, loss that are saved. Now here’s something I’ve observed.

This is really complicated. I find where my feet go, there go my body as well. And so if my feet go one direction and my body tries to go another, I’m going to fall down. Well, the Bible here talks about us preparing our feet to take the gospel to somebody. Now when you do that, guess what? Satan is going to be all over you because he doesn’t want you to bring the gospel to the lost. And then you need the armor because the devil is coming after you.

So it’s very important here that you put on the armor, but Satan is not even going to take a swing at you unless you take the gospel to the lost. Unless you’re attempting to witness as a Christian and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those that need to hear it, you might as well just stay in the closet or keep your armor in the closet. But a Christian is out there actually going into enemy territory, Satan’s territory, the world.

And presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ will come under attack. And if you come under attack, you better have that armor on. And that’s what they wanted to say. That’s a quick abbreviated summary of that, but we’ll have to take a look at it another time. But thank you for calling in anonymous in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Tennessee where we’re on a bleep four times a day. We’re on a 10 in the morning four in the afternoon 10 at night and 4 a.m.

In the morning we have Antonio in spring Hill Florida and Antonio welcome to my bling on here. I’m crazy here. I’m on like I’m on my quest to search for God I believe God However, you know, I tried to get into the Bible reading recently I rented a DVD it was it was uh… i’d be the jennings and it was in that uh… that it was written basically i don’t know if i’m saying that’s right But they were like, you have like John, you have Paul, and they wrote about the life of Jesus in their book, but according to which…

and or be it like uh… some part are well here let me stop you for a minute confusing yet let me get you reading first of all peter jennings i don’t think it was a christian only say he seems to be anti-christ in all of his presentations and anti-israel but uh… you’re listening to the wrong sources but if you read the bible carefully god gives us four witnesses. The Bible says out of the mouth of two or three witnesses a thing is established.

God gives us four witnesses to Christ, the four gospels, and each one presents a separate picture or portrait of Christ so we get to know all about Him. Matthew presents him as a king, Luke presents him as a man, Mark presents him as a servant, and John presents is God. So therefore, when John presents Christ as God, there is no record of the birth, because God doesn’t have a birthday. God isn’t born. He doesn’t have a mother or father.

So in John, it begins in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And then the Word became flesh. So God came and took on you and flesh. John presents it so well. A king, of course, has to be a citizen of the nation. He’s going to be king over and so the genealogy there tells us of the background of Jesus before he was born and how he was born of the lineage of Abrahams or Isaac and Jacob and down through King Solomon so therefore he is heir to the throne and those things are important.

The other gospels don’t cover that. We find that in Luke’s Gospel he is presented as a man and so the genealogy of Christ takes This is all the way back to the very, very first bend. Adam, in Mark, Christ is presented as a servant. So we don’t have anything about the birth. All you care about a servant is that he serves and we have many of his works outlined in Mark’s Gospel. And so this is a little bit of a quick abbreviated story of why we have the four and they don’t contradict a supplement.

And you ought to read all four to get the complete picture of who Christ is. But you need to trust him and him alone if you’re in her heaven. If you trust that he died and shed his blood, paid your sin that for your saved forever. Okay, a question in your on the internet. Do you have anything on that? Any information on that? Absolutely. Yeah, look at my bottom right hand corner of the home page. It says articles by Dr.

Henglisser and you can read about 150 articles and many of them will cover what we’re talking about. Okay. Okay. Okay. And keep listening and call back. Wow. The half hour has gone quickly. we’re going to do a second half hour in just a couple of minutes. So keep you ready to tune, but let me remind you that Bibleline is listed and supported. If you’d like to help us, we certainly could use your prayers and your gifts to Bible line.

You could give a gift by credit card over the phone and you could also call and ask for an envelope to be sent with our address on it so you can mail that gift into Bibleline. And we certainly want to thank you in advance your prayers and for your gifts that make Bibleline possible. We’re right now I’m going to go ahead and go to break and it will come back into a second half hour. I hope that you’ll continue to listen to the whole hour and of course on the internet you can go back and listen to it as often as you want probably for the next two years.

So keep that in mind. BibleLineMinistries.org here we go to break we’re gonna come right back so don’t go away I’ll be right back up to the short break and we’ll maybe get to answer your question today. Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, Dr. Englund, sir, but I hope you’re enjoying Bibleline. We sure enjoy bringing it to you every day. But really, we just don’t bring it to you by ourselves.

We are bringing it to you thanks to the listeners gift Bible and allow us to be able to pay the bills to get us on the air. A lot of people have asked me, what do you get paid to be on radio? The answer is nothing. We have to pay the stations to be on the air. And it’s really the other way around. Now it would be nice if it turned around but it doesn’t generally happen. It costs a lot to be on the air and we thank our listeners for their support.

And if you want to be one of those that we would be ever grateful to the Lord. You know God has raised up people just like you who enjoy Bible and who are learning and being blessed with the program and they say I want to see that continue and I want to be a part and I believe that it truly is a wise investment. According to the Bible you need to know where you’re giving and it should be to first of all an organization or church that is scriptural that is right on with the Bible.

One that’s winning loss to Christ. this challenging of believers to become disciples and live for Christ, one that is impacting people’s lives. You know, the Bible is doing all those things and we’re finding out that we’re leading people to Christ all over the world. That’s exciting. And we’re excited about how we’re reaching to 154 countries now on the Internet and we hear from people who write to us and call us from all over the world. We’re talking about Asia, the Pacific Islands, Australia, New Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, South America, Central America, and of course all over North America.

We are excited to be with you and we thank you. We thank you for being a part of us and praying for Bibleline. Your prayers and your gifts are indispensable. So give us a call and our 800 number operators will tell you how you can do this. You can ask for an elbow to be sent with our address, mailing gift in, or you can call and say, I’d like to give a gift by credit card and you’ll find them very friendly and very helpful and they’ll take care of that.

We sure do thank you in advance. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Because you all are the ones who are the heroes who make this program possible. We’re looking forward now to a second half hour here. We’ve got about six and seven calls already waiting. Lots of unfair questions, so we’ll do what we can do and move as quickly as we can. But right now we’re going to return to the stations that have been on break and come back and do the second half hour.

Don’t forget we now finished First Peter. 10 hours of teaching available on CV and DVD. When you make that call, you might want to order that and play it in your car or in your home or just for your personal study. Here we go Bible and Part 2. Stay tuned. You like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom.

All right, we’re back for that break and this is my boy, and it’s fun to be with you. And we’ve got lots of people that are ready to get up on the air with us. We hope we get your question up here on the air. You can call us at 1-800- We didn’t know to go to Israel, we’ll be broadcasting from Israel. You get to hear a little bit of an update about what we’re doing every day. You can still submit your questions by internet or all fair through our 800 number.

Call us and we’ll get those questions. They’ll be forwarded to us and we’ll get them in Israel and we’ll be answering your questions and talking to you about our trip from Israel. So don’t miss those exciting days of travel in the Middle East as we go through Israel. North and South and East to West, and we’re going to have a great time. Lots of people are telling me we want to go on the next trip. And so if you’re interested, let us know and get your name on awaiting this, and we’ll try to get you going with us on our next trip to Israel as we certainly would want to plan to go again.

We’re going to go right now to the Deuce in Tampa, Florida, and the Deuce. Welcome to Bibleline. You are on the air. Thank you for taking my call. My question is out of 1 Corinthians 11. Okay. And I totally understand the headship order of God, man, and woman. I guess what I’m wondering though is the head covering issue in the webinar. The cultural thing is kind of clearly still be covered in your head as women. Okay, it’s a very good question.

And the answer is that that was a custom then to show the woman’s objection to the husband. But if you notice carefully here, it says that her hair can be an ister covering. It says in verse 15, if a woman had long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given her for a covering. The Bible here talks about a difference between the sexes here, between the man and the female, and how that for a man it’s a shame to have long hair.

It says the report team does not even nature itself teach you that if a man had long hair, it’s a shame to him. So the man was to wear short hair and the woman was to wear her hair longer and this hair is a glory to her. It says that her 15 for her hair is given to her for a covering. What happened here in Corinth is that all the prostitutes sure of all their hair. They were like bald and that identified him as a prostitute.

and then he’s got saved. And so Paul’s addressing the issue that if they had sworn off their hair, obviously, and now got saved, they needed to cover their head so that they wouldn’t be still considered to be a prostitute and that they might obviously show their subjections of their husband and unto God. And so it says in verse 16, if any man seemed to be contentious about this, we have no such custom, either the churches of God. So basically a woman having longer hair is really has a thing to do with sexual identity.

And we find sometimes women who cut their hair real short can be mistaken for a man. And vice versa, a man with long hair can be mistaken for a woman. And I think that’s the real issue there. And obviously he talks about man, about woman, and of course we know in Ephesians that children or under and are subject subject to the parents. But I hope that helps a little bit. And so if you have longer hair than a man and you’re clearly feminine, you have met the qualifications.

Oh, okay. Well, thank you very much for your answer. Okay, Denise. And that is an interesting one. I tell you some days I get confused after I was stood in line before and I thought I had a lady in front of me and turned around and I saw his beard and he turned out to be a man. But boy, it’s an age of confusion. God said the man is ashamed for him to have long hair, but for the woman she should have long hair.

God’s covering is a glory to her and that is sufficient. But if you’ve cut off all your hair, put a cover on your head. Okay, here we go now to Wayne in St. Petersburg and Wayne. Welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. I’m going to talk about the radio and I might add something to that. If all four gospels read the same and you were in a courtroom, the people might understand that a judge would throw that out of court because they would call that collaborating witnesses.

And so it speaks to more truth that they all have their own insight as we watch when a police interview people after we see a car wreck or something because one person’s story might add something to tell the truth to what person. to tell the truth to what really happened that the other three didn’t see. You’re absolutely right and that’s very, very powerful and that’s why I believe God did that. that and why they are different. But yet there is no contradiction.

That’s an important thing to say here. And they do supplement. For example, there’s an imagined contradiction in one of the stories where Jesus is leaving Jericho Uruguero. He’s entering Jericho. And because they don’t read carefully, they think that because there are two different stories associated with that Jericho visit, that there’s a contradiction. But one event is taking place as the inner Jericho, the other one is the elite Jericho, and if you’re not a careful student you would imagine that there’s a contradiction.

You just need to be careful and read your Bible carefully and you’ll find out that it has no contradictions, and it’s absolutely in harmony. That’s absolutely true. And you know, with the various different laws we have in the U.S. come from the Bible and Europe, the principles, the founder of Harvard Law, Simon Greenley, makes a great position. The Bible has already been proven as a historical documentation of the other people to prove it wrong, which we’ve turned it around in the media, people that had some kind of myth and They went and did their homework.

They tried out the men who wrote law for the world. All those biblical principles don’t hold that viewpoint. That’s all. That’s only come up with the name of the whole years. Give them a call, we’ll pray and for you. Okay, thank you so much Wayne. God bless it was though my herald, the atheist Jew, who calls in and we’re praying that he’ll trust Jesus as his savior. We have Peter in Richmond, Virginia, and Peter, welcome to Bibleline your own ear.

Okay. Hello. And I was just listening. And thank you very much for taking my call. I wanted to ask a question about a comment you had made in regard to the school field Bible. Okay. And because I dearly love the 16-11 King James version and have for the 27 years since I got saved. And in the last few years my wife and I have joined the church where the pastor will actually give up. Give up the page number. or if you have the Scofield Bible, and I’ve realized that a lot of people use the Scofield Bible, and I wanted to find out what is it about the Scofield Bible that makes it uniquely special and to be desired as your standard text.

Well, you know, it’s actually the King James edition of the Bible, but the notes are by Dr. Schofield. And what is unique about it is the notes are geared to doctrine. Most reference Bibles, and I have tons of them, have biographical, geographical, historical information, you know, weights and measures and maps and talk to us about the different journeys and cities and archeology and all kinds of things like that. The scofial bihamol deals with doctrines like justification, sanctification, glorification, predestination, and redemption, and heaven, and hell, and angels, and demons, and so on and so on and so on.

That is the uniqueness. According to the Scriptures themselves, the first foundational stone about the Scripture is the doctrines. It says in 2 Timothy 3 16, all scripture is given by inspiration of God as profitable for doctrine as the first of the list. And then you find in the last days the Bible warns us that they would not adore sound doctrine. So obviously your doctrines need to be established. We have a book here in our resource center called Major Bible Doctrine by Louis Berry Shafer, the founder of Dallas Theological Seminary about a hundred years ago.

That is incredible. It covers 52 doctrines of the Bible. 52! Welcome to the Bible. In little short chapters, 3-5-7 pages long and really gives you a nice sweep on what should be believed by the fundamental Christian. I hope that helps a little bit there, giving an answer for what the school bill by was all about. And can I ask one other question? Are you familiar with a Bible called a companion Bible? I don’t, I haven’t really used it and I’m not too certain what its notes say but you just to be careful.

and I’ll try to check that out and I’ll get my staff here to write that down and I’ll take a look at it. Very much and God bless you sir. Thank you and God bless you in Richmond, Virginia. That was Peter. We now have Linda in Spring Hill, Florida and Linda, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Hi Dr. Hank. Happy Valentine’s Day early. Well thank you very much. I forgot all about that. Thanks for reminding me I’m going to be in deep trouble if I don’t remember that today.

of the little hint. While I was listening to you, I was Valentine’s Day and I wanted to challenge the body of Christ out there in the audience. I’m listening to your supposed to love the most. And I thought maybe everyone could just send in a Valentine to see this to help you take the word out to the highways and the highways. And we are great and stressed. Wouldn’t that great I think your phone is breaking up but Linda is suggesting that a Valentine’s gift to Bible and would be appropriate to say I love you Jesus.

I love you God I want your word to get out and help by blind get the message out well, thank you for that wonderful thought and God bless you and we appreciate that maybe some will send in a Valentine’s gift today or tomorrow and Say that it’s really an expression of their love for the Lord to give the Bible and to keep us going and keeping us on the air here. We thank you, Linda. Now we have a net in Tampa, Florida, and a net welcome to Bibleline.

Hi, how are you? Good. My question is about acupuncture. I know that it’s rooted in Chinese religion, ancient Chinese religion, but it’s, I think studies have shown that it is beneficial for certain medical issues that people may be experiencing. Is it okay for a Christian to seek alternative medical care with acupuncture? I don’t really see a problem with that. And I know that there are people who really have found relief. They found help with that. And I think we still have a long way to go to find out all about this wonderful body that God has created.

And certainly there are methods that our Western culture doesn’t use that apparently do work. And I think some of the simple remedies of 100 years ago have been forgotten. And maybe they need to be introduced to simple, natural things that help in healing the body and keeping us well. So I have no problem with it at all. I think that the youth don’t want to get caught up in the mantras and the Eastern philosophies that might come along possibly with it.

but otherwise I don’t see a problem. Okay, thank you. Thank you Annette, and that was Annette in Tampa, Florida. We now have Robert in Bradenton, Florida. Robert, welcome to Bibleline You’re On The Air. Are you there, Robert? Why have the wrong line? I think I grabbed Don. Don and Treasure On, Gun, You’re On The Air. Oh, hello, Doctor. Hi there. I have been told by, and usually by a Muslim, that about the number of christians that have converted over to islam and our worshiping our my response has always been and this is absolutely utterly totally impact person they may be church members but they’re not christians uh…

do you have anything that you could add to that in my in my taking the right approach no you’re absolutely right you know basically they see america and the whole west as christian so anybody that converts islam from this culture They would say is a Christian conversion to Islam, which is not true. You and I know, and most Christians know that the majority of those in the West, although we are considered a Christian culture, are not Christian at all.

They’ve never been born again, never really understood the Gospel and trusted Christ. They might even attend church and have been baptized in a church, but don’t know the Lord are not saved, and so that would be an incorrect statement. They just really don’t know very much about us and they assume that we’re all in the west. Right. So this is, I am correct and it’s absolutely utterly impossible to happen. Absolutely. All right. Thank you)); Okay, Don. Thank you so much.

And now we’re going to go to Robert in Bradenton. I simply pushed the wrong button on you, Robert. Welcome to Bibleline your own ear. And thank God bless you. Got a question for you then, uh, hang up. It’s about, uh, acts, 21, verse eight and nine about the daughters of, uh, Philip. It did mean that they were prophets or they were just preaching the words. And, um, your hand up and I’ll listen to you now, thank God for your ministry.

All right. You know, the throughout the book of acts in the early days, before the test with Intestra was completed, they did prophesy. And we find that the gift of prophecy was the cease by the end of the first century when the Intestra record would be complete. If you read 1 Corinthians 13 verses 8, 9, and 10. It tells us of three gifts that would cease. The gift of knowledge, the gift of prophecy, and the gift of tongues, and all three did cease.

And so this is still one to get to, still operative. And it wasn’t though what’s happening in the modern church today. It’s fortune telling. Witchcraft is brought into the modern church today where they will come up and try to tell you something in the near future about your life that you’re going to come into some money or you’re going to meet a tall, dark, and handsome stranger or something else which you can buy as well get into the fortune color or your psychic hotline to get that information.

The biblical gift of prophecy was to tell future events that are not necessary by that gift anymore because we haven’t written that in the scripture. The next event on God’s plan is the rapture. Then we’ll follow the tribulation period, then the rise of the Antichrist and the second coming of Christ, the Millennial Kingdom, the destruction of this earth, the judgment of the unsaved dead, the lost being cast in the health forever, the creation of the new heavens of new earth and on and on and on.

That would be the gift of prophecy, but nobody is doing that today. But yes, they fell into that category and they were able to prophesy the gift had not yet ceased until the end of the first century. Sure, dear, thank you and I hope that helps with that question. Now I’m going to go to Ted. And Ted is in Tampa, Florida. Ted, welcome to Bibleline, and you’re on the earth. Howdy, Patrick. How you doing? Good. Good. I’ve got kind of a two-part question.

The first is, why did Jesus get baptized? And did he give the water any kind of special power in the afterwork? And I’ll hang up and listen to your answer. Thank you. God bless you. All right. There’s no power in the water. It’s simply ceremonial. And if you read in the book of Exodus, when a priest was consecrated for the ministry of priesthood. He was baptized and it gets when it took place. When the priest was 30 years of age, that’s when they fully immersed the priest.

They completely flee him under water. Well, Jesus is the same way. Guess who he was? 30 years of age. And what he did is marked the beginning of his ministry. Before the baptism of John, Christ did no preaching. the baptism of John, Jesus did no miracles. Tells you that in John chapter 4. And so Christ just worked as an obedient son and his father’s carpenter’s shop in Nazareth until 30 and then he went down to the baptism of the baptism of the baptism of the baptism of the baptism.

So we find that Jesus said that, allow it to be so now that we might fulfill all righteousness. And then of course John baptized him and immediately he was tempted of the devil and then his ministry began. But it didn’t happen until his baptism. No power in the water, but it was merely a ceremonial picture of the cleansing and purification of one who is consecrating himself for service to live for the Lord. And I think he hung up to hear that answer.

We’re now going to go to Anthony. And Anthony’s down in my Annie Florida. And Anthony, welcome to Vimaline. Hey Pastor, how you doing? Good. Okay, I just got one. My question is what you said about people who say they died or preachers who say they’ve been to heaven makes a lot of sense. The only question I have for you didn’t Paul have a heavenly experience then he died and go to the second heaven or something. Third having, yeah, he absolutely did.

And in chapter 12 of 2 Corinthians, God relates that story. But guess what? He was forbidden. He said he saw things and heard things that were unlawful for him to utter or talk about. A man allowed to be able to talk about it. Paul in fact was made ill or given an illness to keep him humble and to keep him from telling anybody. He said he saw things and heard things that were unlawful for him to utter or talk about.

And these people are coming back and writing books and there’s one going to be on national television tonight that died apparently for 90 minutes and came back. I believe it’s phony baloney. I wouldn’t buy into that. I think it’s not an agreement with scripture. Therefore, it’s not from God Okay, I thank you for that. And I just want to make a statement. I answered my call to the ministry two years ago. Good. And…

And, you know, this radio broadcast to open my eyes about a lot of things because I was confused. I didn’t want to do it because I had a lot of, I was confused about a lot of things that have been taught. But God used you to open up my eyes. I’ve been studying the Bible on my own, depending on him to reveal things to me for the last two years. But he used you to defer him a lot of things.

Until I heard your broadcast, you’re only the second time I heard truth, Pastor Hank. I just want to thank you for that and just keep praying for you next time I’m in Tampa. I gotta come to your church. Hey, man I’ve been thanks for sharing that and and that’s what we’ve been telling people about the testimonials We’re hearing from our listeners are getting saved and like you going into ministry and and being anchored by the teachings of Bible and as we take people to the Bible as the source of their learning and their answers.

And we’re now going to go to Carl in Tampa, Florida and Carl welcome to Bibleline you’re on here. The angel of the Lord and the Old Testament. Yes. And the New Testament was already born. People believe, could you explain that? In the Old Testament, every time you see the Angel of the Lord without exception, it’s a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ in flesh. But you’re referring now to Luke 2, where the Angel of the Lord spoke to the shepherds and told them that Christ had been born in Bethlehem.

I believe in the New Testament that doesn’t follow through. But in the Old Testament it’s actually the angel of Lord and all capitals which tells us that it is God Himself in a human form as He appears which obviously has to be Jesus. Lord and all capitals comes from the four consents which is God’s name which is translated either Jehovah or Yahweh and so God Himself appears and not so in the New Testament. We now have Albert in Richmond, Virginia and Albert, welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air.

Yes, sir. We’re doing the book of Revelation and we’re doing the seven churches the last Sunday and it was saying that, you know, it’s too long to repent but too. And then it says to him that overcometh and says, you know, he’ll steal you out of his mouth for this, that and all of a sudden, it almost sounds like it works. Could you explain that? Sure, in Revelation chapter 3, the church of Laodicea, it says, I’ll spew thee out of my mouth because I wouldn’t either hot nor cold.

Here was a lukewarm church that made Christ one to throw up. He says, I want to spew you out of my mouth. He was going to throw up because they just made him sick. He was telling them that they were really thinking they were okay when spiritually they were bankrupt. in verse 18 says, I want to counsel you to buy me gold, try it in the fire. Talk about rewards. When their works would one day be examined by fire at the Judge of the Christ that they would receive the rewards of gold, silver precious stones which are mentioned in 1 Corinthians 3, 11-15 when it talks about that judgment, a believer’s works one day when they stand before the Lord.

So they were believers, they weren’t in danger losing their salvation. Christ will never cast out a person who is saved and their salvation is not in jeopardy at any time. But their rewards are in jeopardy and their joy is in jeopardy and so on. So Christ said, this church left Christ out of their fellowship and in verse 20 it says, behold I stand at the Lord and knock. He’s knocking at the door of the church of Laodicea that made him nauseous and he said, I really want to come in and fellowship with you guys.

He’s not talking about getting them saved. It’s not a salvation verse, but he says, please, if you would like to fellowship with me, just open the door and I’ll come into the church and fellowship with you in your church. But that church left Christ out. Well, thank you and I hope that helped a little bit. There was a quick answer, but that’s really what it’s talking about. It’s not talking about loss of salvation, but loss of reward, loss of joy, loss of effectiveness, and the loss of their privilege.
