We’re in Jerusalem and we’re excited to bring Bible NT from the Middle East. And here we are in Jerusalem. It was a little bit windy today, but a beautiful day and we’ve enjoyed the Good weather that we’ve had and we’ve enjoyed a peaceful trip. It’s really been wonderful and good food good hotels Everything has been great.

We’re gonna share with you how we went to Mount Zion and Mount Zion is the part of Jerusalem It’s built on a hill called Zion and sometimes the whole city of Jerusalem is referred to as Mount Zion so it’s in equivalent terms, but in Mount Zion which is in the south West corner of the city of Jerusalem, you have the upper room. Now, I don’t believe it’s the same upper room as in the time of Christ because Jerusalem was leveled in 80-70, but certainly the area is the same and probably very close to where it all took place.

This is where Jesus had the last supper with his disciples. I am going to read to you from Matthew chapter 26 and we will begin in verse 17 if you have your Bibles there. Now the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus saying unto him, Wince will tell that we prepare for thee to eat the Passover. And he said, Go into the city and to such a man and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand.

I will keep the Passover at thy house with my disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them, and they made ready the Passover. Now when the evening was come, he sat down with the Twelve. And as they did eat, he said, barely, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. And they were exceedingly sorrowful. It began every one of them to say unto him, More does it I? And he answered and said, He’s a diptice hand with me in the dish.

The same shall betray me. The son of Van Goeth as it is written of him, but woe or judgment under that man by whom the son of man is betrayed. It had been good for him that that man had not been born. Van Judas which betrayed him answered and said, Master, is and he says unto him, Thou hast said.” It’s interesting here that the last supper was held in this upper room in Mount Zion, and here we find that Jesus institutes the Lord’s Supper.

But prior to the institution of the Lord’s Supper, he dismisses Judas from the room. So he was not present during the Lord’s Supper. And by the way, Judas was never a believer. I think this shocked so many people to find that out. Even though he was a disciple, he was not a believer. I’m going to turn to John chapter 6 and we’ll read a great verse there. And by the way, this is Bibleline. We’re coming to you from the city of Jerusalem and we’re coming to you from our hotel, which is just a couple of blocks away from the old city of Jerusalem.

You have your Bible open. It’s John chapter 6 and in verse 64 Jesus says there are some of you that believe not for Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not and Who should betray him? He’s talking here about Judas Judas was never a believer and Judas went to hell Because he had never trusted Christ and Savior so he wasn’t lost or did not go to hell because he betrayed Christ He didn’t go to hell because he committed suicide, which he did.

He went to hell because he was never a believer. What it shows is that you can be a disciple and not be saved. You can be a believer and not be a disciple, and you can be a disciple and not be a believer. So you really need to learn how to separate. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2, 15, study to show that I self-approved unto God as a that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

That means the truth of God’s Word in right order. You have to separate between becoming saved and then living the Christian life which is separate. I trusted Christ when I was 18 and received the gift of eternal life, but it was not until a year later that I made my second decision to become of the disciple or to serve the Lord. And so many Christians, I believe, become believers, but never become disciples. But there are those who become disciples, but yet never are believers.

Just like Judas, they’ll wind up in hell, even though they claim to be disciples of price. Amazing, isn’t it? And so you need to recognize that it’s not what we do for God that saves us, but it’s what God did for us in Christ at the cross of Calvary that saves us. If you could have earned your way to heaven, then Christ never needed his eye. His death was in vain, it was a waste, and the Bible clearly teaches that.

He came because none of us could save ourselves. We needed a Savior. In any case, we visited the Bible. this upper room, it’s a traditional site, it’s probably been around since the time of the Byzantines in the 4th century AD, but it’s probably not the authentic place, but certainly gave us an idea of where they may have gathered for the last supper. And after the last supper, and by the way, only the eleven without Judas and Christ, of Of course, was there, but with just the 11 Christ Institute of the Lord’s Supper, it’s for believers only.

It doesn’t save. It does not bring about salvation, but is a memorial service to remember the price that was paid at the cross for our salvation in a time of remembrance to be reminded of that, because it’s so easy for us to forget that it was Christ death alone that saves us. is nothing else that can cleanse us of our sin. The M writer got it right when he said, what can wash away my sin? The answer is nothing but the blood.

Nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood of Jesus. And yet there are churches that will sing that song and when you ask them, what do you have to do to go to heaven, they’ll list off a half and it doesn’t take. They’re not thinking, they’re not paying attention because the true answer is nothing but the blood. Nothing but the blood can wash your sin. Church membership, water badges and living in a Christian life, attending church, saying prayers, whatever it might be, none of those things can take away your sin.

Only the blood of Christ could wash away your sin. And without Christ shed blood, no one, not one, would be able to enter heaven. And so when you trust Christ as your Savior, you receive the wonderful gift of everlasting life. Well, right after they finished the Lord’s Supper, the Bible tells us that they sang a hymn and then they went out into the garden of death’s seminy. And this is in that passage I was reading in Matthew 26, it says in verse 30, and when they had sung on Him they went out into the Mount of Olives.

So now there’s a little distance not too far from the southwest corner of Jerusalem over to the east, to the Mount of Olives, crossing the valley Kidron and the Brook Kidron at the base of that valley and then finding yourself at the Garden of Yosemite. This of course is a place where Christ and his disciples would often go. And when they arrive there, we find that Judas came with a band of soldiers to take Christ. But before these soldiers came, Christ asked the disciples to stay away and pray with him.

And we find that in each case they fell asleep. He woke them and asked them to pray. And the temptation was that when they were to pray that they would not fall into temptation, the temptation was to design. And they all denied him, but Peter denied him very, very clearly and plainly and loudly by cursing and swearing and said that he didn’t even know the man and Peter denied him three times and Jesus had warned them about this time of trial that would come.

In any case, Judas comes to the garden and he comes to betray Christ. In John 18 there is a fascinating account of that event as it happened. In John 18 and verse 1, it says, when Jesus had spoken these words, which were all of the things he said from the time that they gathered for the Last Supper right up until the time now that they arrive at the Garden of Gethsemane, when he has spoken these things of these words, verse 1 of chapter 18 of John, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Kidron, which we said earlier was in the valley there that separates Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives.

And there was a garden into which he entered and the disciples, thus the garden of Gethsemane. And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place, for Jesus oftentimes resorted to their with his disciples. So this was a normal gathering place for the disciples. Judas knew that, and he probably knew they were headed there, and he came, bringing the soldiers to betray Christ. Verse 3, Jesus, rather Judas, then, having received a ban of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees come with sither with lanterns and torches and weapons.

Jesus, therefore, knowing all things that you come upon Him. Here in John’s Gospel, we have Jesus presented as being God. And notice here is His omniscience. He’s all knowing. And Jesus, therefore, knowing all things that you come upon Him, forth and send them to them whom seek ye. I find this completely the opposite of my childhood impression of what happened in the garden. I was led to believe by my church that Jesus was a wimp, a weakling, a Mr.

Milk Toast, somebody who was afraid, and when the soldiers came I envisioned that he ran to the back part of the garden, hid under some bushes or vines and big trees and was frightened there probably shaking, waiting for the soldiers to come and grabbing. Not the case, not the case, not the case. When you read verse 4 of John 18, it says Jesus went forth and he says to the soldiers, whom seek ye. So notice he initiates the whole incident here by saying whom seek ye.

They answered him and they said we’re looking for Jesus of Nazareth and Jesus says of them, I am. If you have a King James translation, there’s the word he there, but he is an italic. It’s not in the original manuscripts and you’ll want to eliminate it because it’s added by the translators. Really what Christ is saying is I am. That is the very name that God used when he appeared to Moses at the burning bush. You can read that next to this chapter 3 and you find that God revealed himself to Moses and said, My name is I Am.

What it’s saying here is that God is the eternal God, the creator of the universe, who is not bound by time. He lives outside of time and when he intercepts time, he always intercepts time in the present God doesn’t say I was. He doesn’t say I will be, but he says I am right now, present sense whenever he enters up time. Jesus loved that title and he used it to tell us more about who he is. He said earlier in John 6 here, I am the bread of life.

He also said I am the way, the truth, and the life. In John 10 he said, I am the door by me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved. He said in John 9, I am the light of the world. And so on and so on. Many, many times he uses the phrase, I am. Now what is interesting here, it says in verse 6 of John 18, as soon as he said to them, I am. They went backward and fell to the ground.

That is amazing. Here they are knocked right off their feet. These are trained fighting men. They have their swords, they have their spears, they have their lanterns, they are armed fighting men and they are knocked right on their backside and they are laying now flat on their backs just at the power of the name of Jesus Christ. What is interesting here as well is that these were unsaved men. And today we have a counterfeit in Christianity this experience that they call being slain in the Spirit.

And they say that that is a Christian experience. But guess what? Every time I see that experience described in the Bible, it’s always unsafe people that are falling backward and falling to the ground. So could it be without actually letting us know that these people who are slain in the Spirit are actually telling us without even knowing they are, that they’re unsaved, they don’t know the Lord? it be, I believe it is, that they don’t know the Lord, and it’s those who are unsaved who fall backward and are slain.

So I think it’s an interesting tip off here, that these were unsaved, and they fell backward, and obviously Christians don’t have that happen to them. And so this is an interesting little bit of a window into seeing who really are the wheat and who are the terrors, who are the genuine believers, and who are the counterfeits, and here, it talks about these. They went backward and fell to the ground. Interesting, isn’t it? And that experience of falling backward and falling to the ground is experienced by unsaved people, not saved people.

So if you know anybody who does that, you might want to lead them to Christ. They need to know Jesus as their Savior, although they may claim they know Him, unless they believe that salvation is a gift and it’s received at the moment of belief and it cannot be lost, they’re probably not saved. Well anyway, Jesus here has them all fall of the ground. Notice what Jesus does here in verse 7. Then he asked them again saying, whom seek ye?

So this time I think they’re a little more frightened and they said, Jesus is a bad, I’m truly stuttered and had difficulty spitting that out, but they said it again. And what is so interesting here is that Jesus lays down the terms of his surrender. I was just a surprise when I began to read the Bible and see this, that Jesus was in charge, even though he was the one being apprehended by the soldiers and detained that night. He as I have told you that I am.

If therefore you seek me, let these go their way. So here Jesus lays down the terms of his surrender, says, do you want to take me? Let my disciples go. Nobody argued. They better not have argued. You know, this is God in flesh and Jesus could have vaporized them all on the spot. They could have ceased to exist right there on the spot. And so they obviously went along with that. And the whole night Jesus was in charge. You know Pilate thought later when he examined Christ that he was in charge.

Pilate says these interesting words in chapter 19. And it says here because he would not defend himself. Pilate said in verse 10 of chapter 19, speakest thou not unto me? Knowest not that I have the power to crucify thee, and I have the power to release thee, and what did Jesus do? Shake in his boots no. Jesus says, how could have no power at all against me except that we’re given thee from above? Therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

He never had anybody talk to him like that. Christ was not frightened, but he said, you’re not the one in charge here. Thought he was. And at no time was he in charge. Jesus was fully in charge all the way through, even up until the moment when he gave up his life. Jesus had the power to keep his life within his body or the power to give it up. And Jesus said, I have the power to lay my life down and I have the power to take it up again and he could have remained in that body without dying if he had chosen to, but he chose to give up his spirit and die as a payment for your sins and mine.

What an incredible story. I’m Dr. Englunds from Mrs. Bibleline and we’ve had a wonderful time actually being at these very places where these events took place. And Jesus Christ, of course, is God who came and took on flesh and he was crucified and head is bud to pay for your sin and mine, if you trust Him, as your only hope of heaven, God will save you, give you the gift of eternal life, and you can be certain of going to heaven.

If you haven’t done that as yet, you need to do that. I wouldn’t waste another second because you don’t know when your life might be taken from you. And if you die without Christ, you’ll be forever lost for all eternity. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. I’m in my hotel here in Jerusalem and in a room where some of our group are. here with us and we’re having fun as we’ve been exploring Israel from top to bottom and of course Jerusalem is that special city which has a destiny that the Bible predicted long long ago. The Bible predicted that two major world events would take place here.

Number one, the Messiah would come and die in Jerusalem as a payment for the sins of the world. And every man, woman and child of ever lived, could receive that eternal life that he purchased by simply trusting in his death. We’re just a couple of blocks of where it happened, from Calvary where Jesus died for your sins and mine. And the second event is the Second Coming, when Christ will rule the earth from Jerusalem and the whole earth will be at peace.

No more war. The nations will beat their implements of war and implements for peace. And there will be no more war on the planet for a thousand years. The horrors will be at peace. Can you imagine? It says they won’t learn more anymore. That means all of the schools that teach war won’t exist anymore. Annapolis, West Point, Air Force Academy, all of these schools that train people for war won’t be around anymore. It says that neither shall we learn war anymore.

Those schools won’t be necessary. You won’t have to teach men to go to battle. And around the world we know that nations take their young men and conscript them and train them to go to war and to kill. That will not happen anymore when Jesus comes back. There’s a wonderful day coming when the whole earth will be at peace and we believe we’re getting pretty close. And I think the handwriting is on the wall that Christ could come back at any time.

The snatches out at the rapture and then seven years later Christ will be back to rule and reign on the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We have had a wonderful trip to great weather and just full days of experiences and it is exciting. Let me go to the offer questions. We’ve got a bunch of people that are sending them in. You can call in with your question or go to the internet and leave it. Just call the 800 number 1-800-576-3771.

1-800-576-3771. We have people in Tampa that are taking those calls. They’ll write down your question. They’ll email them to us. We’ll get them and probably answer them on tomorrow’s show if we can. You can also go to the Bibleline website, Bible on Ministries.org, click on the spinning globe and you’ll be connected to a page that will come up that’s set for you to go to fill in your question and put your first name in city and hit submit and we’ll get it right here in Jerusalem and we’ll answer those questions on the air.

This question comes from the internet and this is from Frank. Frank is the way he signs his name. Pastor Hank, hello. When I read some of this material going around today, he gets me confused. The material he’s referring to here in his email says, warning, you cannot take the mark of the beast for any reason and still go to heaven. I’m sure that’s got to get people confused and scared, but you don’t have to worry if you trust Christ and Savior before the rapture because the mark of the beast, this mark that they’re warning you about, will not be really enforced upon people until three and a half years into the tribulation period.

So we’re not going to be here. So it doesn’t matter. Don’t worry about it. I know people get scared from time to time because of misteaching, but you don’t have to worry. The mark, I believe, Ok, probably will probably be a microchip, placed under your skin. The word 666 in the Bible in chapter 13 referring to the mark of the beast has two meanings. It means 666, but it also comes from the Greek word stigma, and it really means a mark, but also means to ensize and punch under and what a great description The microchip that they now have, that they’re already putting in animals, but now they’re putting in human beings, is placed into your hand with a hypodermic needle.

And that needle incises your skin and then when they thrust down it punches it under the skin and what an accurate biblical description from the Greek. It really is an amazing thing. So many people thought it would be a barcode or some other kind of visible mark on the outside and they thought well who would want to put a mark that on their forehead. This will be invisible. It will just be incised underneath the skin and it will be able to allow the government to not only track you, GPS, know exactly where you are and not only that, but it will have all your medical information, your banking information, your financial information, your political information, your military service or whatever, everything will be on there.

All of your transactions with money will be done by this microchip and you won’t need to carry a wallet and the government will have total control over your buying and selling. The Bible says without this mark you will not be able to buy yourself. Already we know that with the credit card that they can stop you at the point of sale. You get there and if you’ve over extended your limit, you won’t be able to buy anything. Or if your card has been stolen, they’ll confiscate it from you and so on and so on.

So it gives them a lot of control and of course that mark will be put on the person. So don’t worry about it Frankie. You can sleep good tonight. You will not be in front of with the real mark because if you’re a believer right now, You are going up with me and the Rapture and all the other believers on the earth. We are all going to meet together at one time in heaven. So thank you for that great question and I don’t know what city that came in from but we have one now that came in from George and George lives in South Carolina.

And George says, do you believe that the Tomb of Calvary today is the tomb that Jesus is buried in. And I believe the one outside the north wall of the city that is next to the hill that has the etching in it by the weather of a skull, a human skull is the real place. It certainly has quite a number of at least 20 different points of identification that match it up with the scripture. And so yes, I believe it was.

And by the way, it’s empty, George. And every time I’ve been here, and this is my 15th trip, I found the Tomb of Christ empty. And that is something quite remarkable because the tombs of all the world religious leaders are still there, the place where their bodies have been buried, and they can, of course, help you because they’re dead. But Jesus is alive from the dead and he certainly and fulfill his promises. George also says here in this passage in John 20 that John stooped down to look in.

Yet one can walk into that tomb standing. I believe he stooped down because he probably wanted to see the grave wrappings and apparently the grave wrappings which were more like that of a mummy as they wound him, the Bible says in John 19 verse 40, they wound him in manuscripts and used the hundred pounds of Murnello that this probably set up like concrete and he probably looked inside this cocoon like a fair and saw the body was gone. So he stood down I’m sure to look inside and see that the body had been taken.

George, good question. keep your calling in from South Carolina. We have here Mike in Tampa, Florida, and Mike calls in and says, when a minister has served prison time for a sexual crime, should he be allowed to serve in his former capacity as a preacher? Well, Mike, what do you think? I don’t think anybody would have any confidence in that person being a minister. And I don’t think anybody would attend the services if they knew he was a sexual predator or something else and had served prison time for doing that.

So I think it’s a question that answers itself because a leader has to have followers and if nobody has any confidence in the leader, they won’t follow. So… I doubt if he’d have anybody attending if they knew that about his past. So good question, Mike, but I think it’s pretty plain that it’s not going to happen if people don’t have any confidence in them. And I’m certainly wouldn’t want, if he was a pedophile, to have his children around such a person that I don’t think would happen.

Good question. In any case we’re here in Jerusalem and this is Bibleline and we hope that you’ll call in our number is 1-800-576-3771. And I think you’ll have a good time. a good time and we invite you to join us the following Sunday for the dinner that we will have after the worship service on the third Sunday of the month.

This is by the line we are coming to you from Jerusalem and we have also when we talk about that upper room we were talking about the first half hour not only did the Lord’s Supper take place there and the Passover dinner that the disciples had which we believe occurred on Tuesday night of the crucifixion week. The next day at 3 o’clock is when the Lamb of Israel would be slain and many would have the Passover dinner on Wednesday night.

A lot of people ask the question, how could Christ legitimately have the Passover the night before. And the reason why he could is because in Exodus it says that the Passover land was to be selected and it could be offered between the evenings. And that phrase between the evenings allows for it to be held on the afternoon or evening of the preparation day and also the evening prior to that. And so you could do it on either evening, and Christ, the Scriptures already allowed for what was going to take place.

And so he had it on Tuesday night, and Tuesday night Christ was betrayed in the garden by Judas. We just talked about that in the first half hour, and then he was taken to the house of Kiafis and all night long he was interviewed by Herod Anas Kiafis finally before pilot in the morning at 6am. Pilot pronounced the judgment. He was then taken to the Hill of Calvary, nailed to the cross at 9am and at 12 noon God set out the lights.

As darkness came across the land at 3 o’clock in the afternoon Christ yielded up his spirit and died and Then they hurriedly took his body off the cross between 3 and 6 and we had it in the grave by 6 p.m. Then we believe for 72 hours Christ was in the grave. As Jesus said, he would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, Matthew 1240. So we believe since he went in the grave, we believe Wednesday at sundown that it was Saturday at sundown when he rose.

If her Saturday sundown is when the Sabbath ends and Sunday begins, he grows exactly when The third day ended and the fourth day began, which was Sunday night began at 6 p.m., that’s when he rose. In the morning they came and discovered the tomb empty. So Christ rose exactly 72 hours after he had been placed in the grave. So therefore we say Christ rose at Saturday, sent down. And Sunday morning we celebrate the discovery of the empty tomb and the resurrection as he appears to the different disciples there.

But we also know that Christ then appeared under his disciples and showed himself alive and taught them for 40 days. And after those 40 days were up, Christ then ascends back up into heaven. And he ascends from the Mount of Olives and he’s going to come back to that same place. But 10 more days after the 40 days makes a total of fifty days and that brings us to Pentecost. Pentecost is a Greek word that means fifty days. And on the fiftieth day, Jesus said the Holy Spirit would come and that would begin this present age that we’re living in.

And we find that Pentecost, the experience, the disciples were all together in this upper room in Mount Zion. So that really was the place where Christ said his final words before he died and then he says his final words after his resurrection on the Mount of Olives and ascends back to heaven. And then we have this new age beginning 10 days later at Pentecost in the upper room. The disciples were there. Let me read from Acts chapter 2 and in your Bible is verse 1.

the day of Pentecost was fully come. That makes sense because it is fifty days after the resurrection, it always occurred on a Sunday because Christ rose from the dead on the feast of first fruits day, which was always a Sunday. The Passover happens on different days of the week. That shifts back and forth with the lunar calendar, but the feast of first fruits always occurred on a Sunday, which guaranteed the resurrection day being a Sunday, and then Pentecost being fifty days later, always occurs on a Sunday.

Because if you go forty-nine days from Pentecost, you would be seven weeks out, and then that one more day would bring you to Sunday again. So it would be fifty days, and so Pentecost is when the true change began. A lot of people ask why do we celebrate every Sunday as Christians? And it’s because Christ himself established the New worship day. No longer are we under the Sabbath, which is Saturday, but we’re under the first day of the week as a day of observance.

Christ came back on the first day of the week. The next major appearance was on the eighth day, which is also the first day of the week. And we find that Pentecost, when the church was born, was the first day of the week. And if you read the book of Acts, the Christians, the early Christians met on the first day of the week, and if you read the Epistles of Paul, you find the early Christians met on the first day of the week.

Those who are Sabbath keepers try to tell us that the Roman Catholic Church changed the worst of day. Hundreds of years later, that is not true. Jesus changed the day, and we worship on the first day of the week. So here we have Pentecost and it says in verse 2, suddenly there came the sound from heaven as of a mighty rushing wind, and it filled that is the sound filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each one of them.

And they were all filled, or the better word is controlled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other languages tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. And they were dwelling in Jerusalem, Jews, development of every nation under heaven. And when this was noise abroad, the multitude came together, were confounded because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled and said unto another, Behold on all these which speak Galileans.

How here we, every man in our own language, were in we were born. So here’s the miracle of Pentecost. And by the way, about a hundred years ago, in 1906, on Azizah Street out in California, A group of Christians tried to duplicate. The resurrection will never be repeated either and Pentecost, being 50 days from the resurrection, it can never be repeated. We’ll never, ever, ever, ever be 50 days from the resurrection again. We’re now, I don’t know how many hundreds of thousands of days away from Pentecost, so we’ll never be 50 days away.

But in any case, these people went up into an upper room and they were trying to duplicate pentecost. And of course when they spoke in this gibberish, which the San Francisco Chronicle, when they said they spoke to this gibberish that nobody understood, that they were reduplicating pentecost. That’s why these people were called pentecostals, because they were duplicating pentecosts. And that cannot happen at all. It’s impossible. So we find here that what we have today is a counterfeit. None of these people ever claim that they have these tons of fire coming on their head because it doesn’t happen.

Nor the rushing mighty wind when they try to duplicate Pentecost. Doesn’t happen. What they have today is a gibberish but here the real gift at Pentecost was a known foreign language. The Greek word used here throughout is dialectos and it means a specific dialect of a real language. The whole thing that was going on here is that Moses even way back to Deuteronomy and the Prophet Isaiah in other places it predicted that God would turn to the Gentiles and during this Gentile age when we would be the witnesses that God would speak to Jewish people in in Gentile languages to lead them to Christ.

And guess what? To that to happen on the first day required God’s intervention because at Pentecost all these that were there were Jewish and all the apostles were Jewish and to be able to witness to the magenta language required God giving them a Gentile language. And you have 16 countries named here in Acts chapter 2. And these people from all around the world that had come to Jerusalem for the Feast of Pentecost heard the Gospel in a Gentile language, the very dialect in which the place where they were raised spoke, and that was quite a miracle.

You know, in English there’s lots of different dialects of English. I live in Florida, but all we have to do is go to Georgia, and they don’t speak the same brand of English at all. Not even close. I remember when President Carter was president, we got a little dictionary that told us how to understand what he was saying. It was all a big, fun spoof, but people in Plains, Georgia don’t speak like the rest of America. That’s for sure.

Then all you have to do is move up into the Carolinas and they speak a different dialect of English. And then if you go into New York, Long Island, they don’t speak the same English at all either. You wonder what happened to those people. And then you go to Boston and they don’t speak the same English, it’s absolutely amazing. And of course around the country we have lots of different dialects of English. Can you imagine if you were Jewish and you had come to Jerusalem for the peace of Pentecost and there somebody came up to you that had lived in Israel all of his life, a fisherman that lived around the Sea of Galilee, and he comes up to you and speaks to you in the language of the Bronx or Long Island or Boston, and that’s where you’ve been born and raised.

You would freak out. You’d say, this is a miracle. How can this guy from Israel speak that dialect of the English that they speak in Boston? Well, obviously, that was the miracle of Pentecost. The gibberish today is a counterfeit. There’s nobody on the planet Earth today that speaks in the known languages that the Bible speaks about here in Acts 2. But this was God’s plan. And you know, every time I talk to a Jewish person about the Lord, I like to remind them that I’m fulfilling prophecy.

Here I am a Gentile telling you about your Messiah that you should be telling me about. And guess what? I’m telling you in English that in Hebrew, and that’s exactly what the Bible said would happen during this whole age. I am fulfilling prophecy right now because if I spoke to you in Hebrew about your Messiah, I wouldn’t be fulfilling the prophecy. God said, would manabedalips and other tongues, will I speak to these people, yet for all that they will not hear me?

So I’m talking to you in English and I’m telling you about your Messiah. You should be telling me about him. I’m telling you and I’m doing it in a Gentile language and that’s exactly what God said would happen. So I’m a fulfillment of prophecy myself in talking to you in English language about Jesus. What an exciting thing it is. In any case, we’re having a great time here in Jerusalem and we’re going to continue to broadcast all this week from here.
