And if you have your Bible, get it out and we’ll take a look at some of the Scriptures today. We have the Bible open now to Acts chapter 4 and here Peter tells us neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Here makes a very clear statement.

I remember as a brand new believer wondering if somebody might be saved if they believed in God, but they called it by a different name. And obviously the Bible is very, very clear that there is only one name in which there is salvation and that is the name of Jesus. And the Hebrew, of course, is Yeshua, which occurs over 130 times in the Old Testament. And so Jesus is throughout the Old Testament and it’s actually Yeshua. But if you wanted to put the English word Jesus there, you certainly could.

Look at what he says again next, 4, 12. Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. So that name is the name of Jesus and there’s not salvation in anybody else. Not Buddha, not Mohammed, not Allah, not any other name for any other God. There is only one. You know the Hindus have four million gods and none of them can save. Four million gods I guess we could just continue to add to that list but there’s only one God.

One that created the universe, one that loved us and came to the earth and took on Him and blessed and became our Savior. That’s none other than the Lord Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament God is very clear to let us know that He is the only God and only in him is their salvation. Let me have you turn with me to Isaiah chapter 43. Here we find that God says, I even I am the Lord, that is Jehovah, or Yahweh, and beside me there is no Savior.

That’s pretty clear, isn’t it? I even I am the Lord, that is Jehovah, or Yahweh, and beside me there is no Savior. It’s interesting here in this chapter talking to Israel, God is the one who is speaking here through the prophet Isaiah. He says in verse 10, you are by witnesses, sayeth Jehovah, or Yahweh. What has happened is that the Jehovah’s Witnesses have taken this verse and taken their name from this verse. You are by witnesses, sayeth Jehovah. They claim that they are the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

But if you read the context, he’s talking about the Jewish people being his witnesses up until of course Pentecost when God then of course paid the charge of witnessing to us the church, the Gentiles. But if you read this verse carefully, Jehovah says what you are to witness to. He says, you are by witnesses say Jehovah and my servant whom I have chosen that you may know and believe me and understand that I am. Then he says before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

The witnesses claim that Jesus Christ is a created being, that he is a God created by God. And obviously that makes him false witnesses because notice what God says. He says there is no God before me, neither shall there be after me. So if Jesus Christ is as the witnesses claim a God, then they are false witnesses because Jehovah says in verse 11, I even I am the Lord and beside me there is no Savior. There is none. No, not one.

We find over in the next chapter here of Isaiah in chapter 44. God says I am the first and I am the last and beside me there is no God. That’s chapter 44 of Isaiah in verse 6. I am the first, I am the last, and beside me there is no God. What is interesting in Revelation chapter 1 is that Jesus says that He is the first and the last. In chapter 2 of Revelation it says that Jesus is the first in the last.

Now, what it says here in Isaiah 44 verse 6 is, the whole of us says, I am the first and the last. And beside me there is no God. So we either have a contradiction or we have Jesus being the very same God as the God of the Old Testament, that He is the first and the last, the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega. Jesus Christ, of course, is God. ween that is exactly what it is saying to us.

We go over to chapter 45 of Isaiah and God says in verse 6, there is none beside me. I am the Lord and there is none else. That’s pretty clear isn’t it? There’s only one God that’s the God of the Bible. He says in verse 18 of chapter 45, he says, I am the Lord and there is none else. Then if you look down to verse 22 of Isaiah 45, God says, look unto me and be saved all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else.

There’s none else. There’s only one. And that is, of course, the God of the Bible, the God of creation. And again, he says it again and again. In chapter 46 of Isaiah, God says in verse 9, remember the former things of gold, of for I am God and there is none else. I am God and there is none like me.” Wow, I am God and there is none like me. So he says, I am the only God. There is no other God.

There is no other Savior and you can just keep going through Isaiah and he says it again and again. Only one God, only one Savior and Jesus Christ claims to be God and that same Savior that we read about in the Old Testament. In Luke 2 and 11, it says, for unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior which is Christ the Lord. Either Christ is the Savior, the same Savior, the Old Testament as Jehovah or Yahweh, or He is…

A liar and is not the Savior, but obviously according to the Bible, God would take on flesh, and He’s the same God that we read about in the Old Testament. God who created the universe, God who took on human flesh, who came here and died on the cross of Calvary to pay for our sins. Now Peter tells us again in Acts chapter 10 verse 43, this is a favorite of mine, Acts 1043 think about what Peter is saying here where he says to Jesus and Of course the Hebrew is Yeshua To Jesus give all the prophets witness He’s telling us here that all the writers of the Old Testament the prophets who gave us everything from Genesis to Malachi are Giving witness in the scriptures to Jesus Christ to Jesus or Yeshua give all the prophets witness that through his name, that is the name

Jesus or Yeshua, that whosoever believeth in him that is in Jesus or Yeshua should receive the remission of their sins. Not amazing. What he’s saying in one verse is that everybody in the Old Testament was saved by trusting Jesus Christ as their Savior. And that no one has ever been saved any differently. To Jesus, give all the prophets witness, that means the writers of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers did run away, right all the way through Malachi that every one of them spoke about Jesus.

You can find Jesus throughout the Old Testament and if you haven’t yet, you need to start looking at your Bible again and ask God to reveal it to you because He’s everywhere. The first promise of the coming Savior is in Genesis 3.15 where God told about the seed of the woman. That is a child that would be born of a woman that would not have a human father. That is a veiled reference to the virgin birth and the coming of Jesus Christ and how that seed of the woman would defeat Satan.

And that’s of course the event of Calvary when Jesus Christ died and defeated Satan at the cross. Well that’s all foretold in the Old Testament, beginning early in Genesis And Peter tells us in this wonderful verse that to Jesus give all the prophets with us, that through his name, whosoever believeth in him should receive the remission of their sins. When you would believe that word means to trust, when you trust in Christ that you become saved and you become saved eternally.

That’s got to be the best news that anyone will ever hear. I know right now that I have eternal life. I received it at the moment I trusted Christ as my Savior when I was 18. Eternal life is not something you get after you die. Eternal life is something you receive at the moment you believe. The Bible is very clear that at the moment you believe you receive it. And at that very moment you become saved. At that very moment it is irreversible.

It cannot be undone. a person is saved, it cannot be undone at all. Ecclesiastes 3.14 says, I know that whatsoever God doeth it shall be forever, and nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it. That’s pretty clear, isn’t it? Once God does something, it’s forever, and nothing can be put to it, nor nothing can take it away from it. It is permanent. It is set in concrete. It cannot be changed. If you would ask me about my salvation, I would say it’s eternal.

It’s forever. It cannot be changed. It cannot be rescinded. It cannot be revoked. It cannot be lost. It cannot be changed at all because God has made a promise and God would never go back on His Word. God has promised that all that would believe or trust on Jesus Christ as Savior would receive the wonderful gift of everlasting life. I hope you’ve received it. I hope you’ve trusted Christ as your Savior. And I hope that you have gotten the assurance from God’s Word that says you can know that you have eternal life.

1 John 5, 13, these things have been written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. You can actually know that you have it. I’m Dr. Englunds from this is Bible and we’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. We’re going to go to our phone lines. You’re welcome to call 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. And I hope you’ll give us a call and we’ll try to take you a question.

We have Derek in Miami, Florida and Derek, welcome to Bibleline you are on the air. Oh yeah, are you going to talk now? You’re on the air? Go. Go. Okay, thank you. I’m a little confused. In the interpretation of the word of Monica, 3.10, it says, bring the whole type into the storehouse so that there may be food in my house. I see a contradiction on Matthew 4.7 when Jesus was tempted by the devil where it says Jesus said to him on the other hand, it is written on Matthew it says, you shall not test it.

I think there’s a different idea there. One is to tip God by trying to violate His Word and the other is to test to see that He will prove His Word to you as He is promised a blessing if you give. Malachi is saying, prove me or test me. And of course, many times it uses that many times that we’re to prove what we believe, whether it’s a God or not. And to test it. It says that we are to test what we hear by different preachers against the Word of God to see whether it’s true or not.

And that’s not the same thing as trying to violate God’s Word or to cause God to violate His own Word, but rather to let Him demonstrate that His Word is true. I hope that makes it clear. It’s not the same thing. Okay, Derek. And we’re not under the Old Testament law anymore. Of course in Malachi, they were They were to bring the store offering to the temple. He’s talking about his house there. That house is the temple in Jerusalem which no longer exists.

He was destroyed in the 80s and 70s and no longer exists. But there is a third temple coming and that will be built right after the Rapture and the Antichrist will first enter that temple and proclaim to be God. Then at the end of the seven years of tribulation after the Rapture, Christ will come back and cleanse that temple after he defeats the antichrist and set up his kingdom rule the earth from there we’re going to tony richmond virginia and tony welcome to my mind I got more out of that first 15 minutes of the program than I did in 28 years of a life-thought district.

Well, that’s… i thought that’s amazing Every time I visit to watch the website and I watch a church podcast and when I hear stuff like this I Get so excited. I can’t wait to hear more of it So God bless you for you and your ministry. No questions. That’s all I wanted to say well thank you tony and richmond virginia for uh… telling us that it’s a blessing to you and i we pray it’s a blessing to every list of your essay you know uh…

i was raised in church and never heard anything like what i just covered today already on this program I was raised in church and was led to believe that I had to work my way to heaven and that there was never any assurance in this life that you could know you’re going to heaven and that you just hope for the best and hope that you did enough good works to earn your way in and of course that’s totally false.

We’re going to go now to Tracy and Tracy is in Port Charlotte Florida. Tracy, welcome to my line. You’re on the air. Hi. I’d like to just see if I could ask you a question. I know you teach that basically all you have to do is believe in order to be saved, but the Bible teaches more than that. I mean, Nathan the devil believed and he wasn’t saved. I believe that if you can turn your back on God and you can lose your salvation from one of my, what I’m understanding from what you’re preaching, that isn’t so.

Well, that’s right, Tracy. If you believe you can lose it, you’re probably not saved, Tracy, because here’s what you’re saying. You’re saying from this point right now, until you die, that what you do, whether you live for Christ faithfully or whether you don’t, will determine whether you make heaven. In the end, that means everything that you do between now and death will determine your salvation that makes you the Savior, that makes salvation by works. to the Bible, salvation is based upon what Christ did 2000 years ago at the cross, and on the cross he said it is finished.

Now we’re not saying that a believer shouldn’t live for Christ, but you’re not living for Christ to determine your salvation. My salvation was determined by what Christ did for me at the cross, and I received that eternal life at 18, but then I made a second decision to choose to live for Christ, and that’s what we call discipleship. You’re saved when you trust Christ, but you become a disciple when you determine to live your life. He is a church of Christ, and God will reward you for that.

One day, everybody will have their works examined at the judgment seat of Christ where their works will be examined to determine the degree of reward or loss of reward. And even if he did nothing, according to 1 Corinthians 3, 15, at that judgment, it says, if any man’s works should be burned up, he will suffer loss of reward. But he himself shall be saved. yet so as by fire. So you would still be saved, but you would lose out for all eternity and the reward you could have earned if you had lived for Christ.

But the Bible in that wonderful verse gives us the clear indication that there are going to be some that will have done nothing zero for Christ and their works will all be burned up. They’ll suffer the loss of that reward they could have had and yet it says they will still be saved yet so as by fire. So obviously we don’t have a license to it as we please. God will discipline the delinquent believer and the delinquent believer will also suffer the loss of reward and eternity.

But we’re saved not by our works, we’re saved by what Christ did for us. If we could have been saved by our works, Tracy, Christ never needed to leave heaven. He never needed to die at all. And I understand that but I still disagree with you. I believe that you can lose your salvation and I think you’re doing it and just people and just the people by teaching them that you cannot because i mean we have a lot of friends a lot of people and that we know that walk around and claim themselves to be a person because of teaching like that they do not live the christian life they speak the person or but they do not speak it you know they do not live their life according to what the bible teaches but they are under the belief that you know basically they’re going to be safe no matter what

and i think that’s doing an example I think it’s telling him the truth, Tracy, and if they are able to get away with that, then it would prove that they are not saved at all. You know, if you read Hebrews chapter 12, it says, whom the Lord loves, he chases every one of his children, every son that has received in his family, he chases their disciplines when they’re delinquent. Verse 8 of Hebrews chapter 12 says, if you be without chastisement, where of all of God’s Children all those that are born again all those that are saved are partakers of it says that it’s a pretty strong word in the King James It says you’re a bastard and not a son in other words Somebody is illegitimately claiming to be saved if they can live as they please and God isn’t spanking them because if you’re safe

You cannot get away with living as you please so if it appears that they are I would show him Hebrews 12 8 and say I’m questioning whether you’re saving up because if you’re truly safe you cannot, you cannot, let me read that verse again. Hebrews 12-8, it says, if you be without God’s discipline, chastisement, where of all of His children are partakers, then you’re a bastard and you’re not a son. You are illegitimately claiming to be a child of God when indeed you’re not.

So that’s not true. And I hear it all the time from people who truly get saved that hear this program and they tell me, you know, things were going smooth in their life until they got saved and I said that’s an indication you’ve gotten saved because God is now going to take away those rough ages. Edges he’s going to be spanking you and he’s going to be getting involved in your life but he doesn’t deal in the life of the unbeliever.

The unbeliever seemingly can live as they please but when they die they’ll wind up in hell. So Tracy you can’t… What’s that? Do you believe that baptism is necessary? Not to be saved no done at all. What’s that? Not at all. I believe in baptism. I’ve had probably over a hundred people a year easily and by a mercy But not to save them. That’s a testimonial of how they were cleansed or sent by the blood But what about this doesn’t save anybody?

Okay, well, I think maybe we should be playing for you then because I think you need to read your Bible just a little bit more closely also Well, thank you, Casey for that word and I put Charlotte for it. You know, it’s amazing to me How many people want to add works when the Bible says it Ephesians 2-8? It’s not a works. Water baptism is a work if you are required to be water baptized to be saved and apparently the people that she’s talking about are not saved if they’re able to live as they please after they become saved.

Tracy will be praying for you and thank you for that call in and hope you’ll keep listening to Bibleline. We have Wayne in Tampa, Florida and Wayne welcome to Bibleline. you are on the air. Good morning. Hello? Yeah, you’re on the air. Hey, I have a… I guess I want your input on a question that sometimes arises in my church, other churches, which is how to deal with people, believers that will speak the truth, but you know, we question whether or not, you know, they’re necessarily saved as it comes to certain issues.

Let me give you an example. I’ve heard you talk about that you’re one who sort of questions the, you know, salvation of a CS Lewis, you know, yet that same CS Lewis, you know, rates grow to a certain extent. some great apologetic works. For example, I know you’re familiar with the whole Lord, liar, and lunatic perspective. And of course we have Catholics who are very, very strong on certain moral issues like abortion. And sometimes it’s hard to differentiate what’s the place.

We know we can’t accept them like we would a brother, sister, and Christ per se because there’s questions about where their faith is. On the other hand, sometimes they do right truth. and it should be applied. And just want some of your perspective on that. OK. I’m going to probably have to give that answer right after the break because we’re coming up so tight on that. If you want to hold on, you can or just listen after the break.

And I’ll talk about that. But we’re going to go to break. And we’ll come back into a second half hour of Bibleline. Again, if you could help Bibleline, you could call in and give a gift by credit card over the phone as we are listening to support it. And this is the only means by which we can be on the air coming to you every day. Well, take this break with us and we’ll be right back and we’ll talk about what Wayne just talked about in just a moment.

Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Well, I’m Dr. Englund. It’s great to be with you and thank you for tuning in to the broadcast today. We hope you’re enjoying and I hope you’ll be with us each and every day as we come to you live Monday through Friday. Today’s Friday, but we’ll be back again live on Monday, but you can be hearing us on the internet as often as you like.

And I hope you will. All you have to do is go to bythelineministries.org. And click on the spinning globe and you’ll get radio. Click on the TV set, you’ll get radio. Click on the camera and you’ll get our worship services. And if you click on the online bookstore, you’ll get our resource center. and you can catch all those things as often as you like. If you don’t have a church home, you can go Sunday morning at 11 o’clock and catch our worship service live by going to byblindministries.org.

Click on the camera. And if you do that at 11 o’clock, as soon as the message begins, the audio and the video will come up and you’ll be able to watch that. In fact, if you go during the week, if you went right now, you could catch a year’s where the sermons all sitting there waiting for you. I hope you will take advantage of our website BibleLineMinistries.org and also take a look at our Resource Center. One of the exciting things as we have is if you look on the online bookstore, as soon as you click on that, on the right hand side it will come up with a stream banner all the way down the right side that talks about our New Music for Children, part of the website.

And I hope you will click on that and sample the different children’s songs and you can actually put your child’s name in there and hear what it will sound like in order directly off of our website. And you might want to check that out while you’re checking different things out. Also, we’re talking about a trip to Israel. We are pretty much about ready to finalize this thing. It will be in February of 2009 if the Lord has it come and snatched us out.

We would love to have your name and phone numbers so we can call you and get your address so we can mail you a brochure so we get them. But we would love to have you go to the trip number 16 for me and we will be going to Israel. If you want to go to the option part of it we will also go to Egypt and we will also go to the Rock City of Petra and we’ll also be staying at Elot, the resort city on the Red Sea.

That is such a beautiful place to go to. Hope you’ll do all of that and give us a call and let us know what’s going on. Call and ask for a resource sheet to tell you what’s in our bookstore. Call and get on the list for the trip to Israel and if you would, call and give by the line a gift to help us stay on the air. We’re going to return to the stations that have been on break and do the second part of Bibleline.

And so would you… Stay tuned. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again. Dr. Hamplens from. We’re back from that break and we sure do thank you for tuning in today. We have a brand new part of our website now which we’re really excited about. excited about and that is the music for children. If you would go to our website, BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the online bookstore right at the bottom of the home page.

On the right side, that will come up when you get our online bookstore, you’ll find there is a big banner with a picture of the CD and how you can click and then sample the music. music. You’ll just be surprised at how powerful this is in reaching your children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. You don’t have to buy anything. You can just listen and enjoy and sample it. But I think what you hear it, you’ll see and agree with me that this is going to be powerful.

I’ve been playing it for my granddaughter. She’s 30 months of age and she just stops no matter how many times she’s heard it in her tracks and she listens and she’s got these songs memorized and if i ask her are you special to say yes and i say how do you know she said god may be special uh… these songs just instill a sense of real worth from god and and that go over the gospel where uh… it’ll say the child’s name and say you know god loves you for god so love the world that means you and goes to the verse of John 3 16 with him.

It’s extremely powerful. The music is fun and lively, and Christian sounds like Jesus loves me. And Jesus loves the little children of the world. And there’s a different one for each age group. We have six different ones there that you can take a look at and sample. I hope you will. And I think that’ll be a real benefit to you and aid to you in trying to get the gospel across to your small children and we’re talking about from 12 on down.

It’s powerful. We’re going to be adding more music for those that are asking about other age groups and things, but we’re going a little bit at a time here. We want to first introduce the children’s music for the young children. I think you’re going to really like that. BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the online bookstore and on the right hand side you’ll see the Bible and music for children right there in front of you and you can just click on that and you’ve got it named.

Wayne was asking about different people that might write some truth but yet have not really embraced all of the truth. As we just mentioned here, C.S. Lewis. C.S. Lewis believed in a workspace salvation. If you are trusting in your works and believe you could lose it to C.S. Lewis did, I would say you’re probably not saved. He asked the priest to come to his side and his death and perform last rites. What is last rites all about? It’s where your last minute sins are paid for by the priest coming and offering mass at your bedside.

And obviously that’s a workspace salvation where salvation is gained in increments where you’re saved from mass to mass to mass to mass to mass. the Bible in Hebrews chapter 10 verse 14 by one offering Christ is perfected forever the believer. So once you become a believer you’re perfected forever. You’re saved forever. And you don’t have to be saved in increments. And we have a ton of quotes on him. But he believed in evolution. He believed in theistic evolution and believed the Bible is a contradictory and scientific errors.

on and on and on we go see us lose a lot of problems but mainly and where we separate here when is on salvation if they don’t have salvation right you know even the jose witnesses have some truths and uh… so do all the cults but it’s that plan of salvation that if they don’t have that right and if they don’t have that person of christ right they don’t recognize this deedede jesus christ is god and the salvation was holy and completely paid for by him, they will not be saved.

And obviously there are many, as we just had a call a little bit ago, that believes you have to be water baptized and you have to live the Christian life in order to be saved. And they don’t even realize that they’re saying that what they do is not to be saved. Or what they do not do will determine whether they’re saved or not, which is works, and they won’t be saved at all. The only way, anybody will ever be saved is like the dying thief who obviously couldn’t attend a church, couldn’t be water baptized, couldn’t do anything really in the Christian life.

He had minutes left to live, and he simply trusted Christ and Jesus said, today they’ll also be with me in paradise. So that’s really what’s going on there. We’re now going to go to Mary who has a, she’s in Bartow, Florida and Mary, welcome to Vibeland. Oh, thank you. I’m calling about the lady that called in, I think her name was Tracy. Yes. She said she thought you could lose your salvation. If she goes to Ephesians 1 verse 13, it tells us that we are sealed with the spirit of promise and then 14 and so until the day of redemption.

So if you think you could lose it, that would be like you and some people say well you can leave, you can leave him, you know, but you can’t, it’d be like you trying to leave your bones. He’s inside of you. He won’t come out. He promises he’ll never leave you. And I don’t understand why she doesn’t, I don’t, she doesn’t get it. No she doesn’t. But Mary, well thank you, that’s a great verse you just quoted. Obviously, we’re sealed and obviously to break that seal you’d have to be more powerful than God the Holy Spirit.

And He itself is the seal, He seals us as His possession and we are saved and safe forever. And it’s clear that we’re saved until- The day of redemption. There you go. Yep, and it tells you right in 14 Ephesians 1, 13 and 14. She needs to look at those and reexamine. Amen. Thank you Mary. Welcome. That was Mary and Bartow, Florida to the east of Tampa. We have Patsy in winter haven Florida also to the east and Patsy welcome to Bibleline.

You’re on the air Patsy. Good morning Dr. Hank. You’ve already brought it up instead of the land caller, but I was also going to say you should have brought up about the dying people and the cross with Jesus to help the lady understand that. that I have a question. I’m sure you’ve heard about the law of that on the history. I’m sure.

Yes, they might. Name will. I’ve never heard that he just kind of checked through the Bible too and he’s not and I I was just kind of interested in what you thought about. All right. You’re so welcome. You know the lost books aren’t really lost, but they don’t belong in the scripture. Every book that is in the Bible was written by an authentic spokesperson for God, either a prophet or an apostle. They were recognized by the people that listened to them as being God’s prophet.

And the books that they wrote were accepted as God’s word at the time that they wrote them. Moses wrote as God’s prophet, all five of the books that he wrote, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy were accepted as scripture. They were placed into the piece of furniture called the Ark of the Covenant, and every Old Testament book subsequently that was accepted as scripture written by an authenticated spokesperson for God was included. That’s just the 39 books that we have today.

There have obviously been many other books written down through history, but they have not been accepted. And there’s never been a council or group of people get together and decide which books would or would not be in the Bible. At every council there was a confirmation, an affirmation of the fact that the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament that we have are indeed the word of God and that there are no other.

When you read these others, obviously you get into fairy tale and fantasy and many things that are really just almost laughable. One of them about the stories of Adam as he just brought up tells it on the first day when the sun came up. It’s so frightened, Adam and Eve. They ran and ran and they ran off a cliff and they were killed and got ahead to resurrect them and crank it up all over again. Obviously, it’s so crazy and you can almost laugh as you read them, but it’s sad because These are being promoted and they’re still around for you to read you can go to any bookstore and get the circle off Books of the Bible read them for entertainment But that’s about all their worth and they really don’t belong in the Bible.

And I think you can sense that there’s not the sense of what what you read it as compared to those. I would say in literature between Shakespeare, Bugs Bunny, but it’s a comparison. Obviously these don’t belong in the Bible. And I hope that helps us. We’re now getting into you in in a Scott, welcome to my blend. You’re on the air. Hey, Dr. Nank, how are you today? Good. The reason I was calling this morning is that I see calling in and saying a few things things that were more than a little unkind, but I ask everybody out there to consider the source that you quote consistently.

You always have a quote from the Bible, a chapter and verse. It’s not just what you think. I think you have something to back it up. I agreed, but then when I go back and look to see what you’ve quoted, that’s what it says. It’s a matter of what you feel, it’s a matter of what is in the Word of God and you consistently do that. You always do that. Well, thank you so much. much. That’s why I try to do that.

That’s why I even call our program Bibleline because we try to connect you back to the Bible and what it says and give you a chapter and verse to support it. And so you can say, let’s say it’s the Lord. This is not my opinion and it’s not some church denominational opinion. It’s what God says and that’s I think whatever Christian ought to be able to learn how to do what we hope to teach on this program, go to the Bible and find what it says and then stand on it.

I say you do a great job with that. I agree about what you say, what about what that says, and you do just that, and I really appreciate you. Thank you all for that Scott, and you have a great day. Thanks for calling in. It’s true. One day, it’ll only matter what God said. We’re going to go down to Dave in Lakeland, Florida, and Dave. Welcome to Bibleline You’re on the air. Hi, Dr. Lindstrom. This is Dave from Lakeland, Florida, and you know me.

I’ve been to church number of times, and I enjoy your program. That’s Lindstrom. I want to respond to the woman who called that said that you’re doing And now I truly believe…and I’ve tried to get friends, I know you say that. And now I have to trust in the Lord. I remember I got saved and read the Bible, and it all made sense. believe and I know like you said we have nothing to offer God all good works about filthy rags and I want to tell her as a Catholic you know I did nothing for my church many years ago I just went there I sat there I listened nothing the priest said made sense when I finally left it was like the light went on and now my own church is a good Christian church and they can’t keep me busy enough I’m trying to do everything

I could possibly do to teach Sunday school to help others in the church, being ordained to deacon within two weeks. And because I love the Lord and not want to understand that, I’m internally saved and I can’t lose it. I have this joy in me that without knowing that there is no joy and you live in fear. I used to think that when you die, you’re going to have the, or you’re good to be on one side and then you’ll never know what’s going to happen to you.

And I try to tell many Catholics, because my whole family and uncles and aunts and they’re like that. Iterate, they don’t understand it. I’m trying to reach them. But if you truly say, like you said, you know that you’re going ahead and you can’t lose it. But then you’re not going to do bad things. I want to tell that woman that you will be serving the Lord. And I made that decision like you said to be a disciple. I said, God, whatever you want me to do, I am going to do.

And the Lord just can’t give me on a rollercoaster ride. It’s been great. And as I spoke to you several times in person, I can’t get enough of the Bible. I love the Lord and I’ve been doing good things for him to serve him, not to earn, not to lose my salvation or not that, but just to serve him. But what we correct, the Bible is completely true. You cannot lose your salvation if you’re truly saved. And that’s my comment Dr.

Lissher. And I’ll just listen to you and you can head to that. But I want everybody to know the Roman Catholics that don’t teach that doctrine of eternal security. reach them very badly and hopefully we will listen and understand. It’s very difficult and easy stumbling block. Amen. Well, thank you so much Dave for calling and sharing your testimony. And we’re now going to go to another Dave. Dave in Plant City and Dave, welcome to Bibleline. You’re on there. Good morning, Dr.

Hank. Are you today? Good. Wasn’t interested in showing today. This lady traipses. Got everybody fired up and me included. I mean, she made about you about not reading your Bible because I’ve listened to you for a thought like to give and I’d like to ask you a question about it also is Genesis chapter two of each time. The first page cut, which you read this verse, is this, seven pairs of clean beasts, two pairs of unclean beasts, and seven pairs of fouls.

And that’s an awful lot of animals that makes the art even more miraculous. And my question is, there’s different breeds of cows and different animals. Was it seven pairs of different breeds or was it just seven pairs of cows? I’ll hang up and listen and thank you so much for your show. Thank you so much, Jake. Actually, you know, that is an interesting observation that the book of Genesis says that of those clean animals that were more than two-terre.

I think some were for sacrifice after they came off the Ark and also later became for food as well for as God changed the rules. They were not allowed to eat meat until after the flood, but after the flood in Genesis 9 it says that they were to eat of every kind of meat and so they ate meat as well. But obviously we believe the story of the Ark that it was true and the Bible tells us of course that there were additional animals there.

We’re not going to go to Tom in Tampa, Florida, and Tom, welcome to Bibleline your own year. Good morning, sir, God bless you. Quick question. A couple weeks ago, I called and asked if you knew anything about the simple church movement and you had stated no, but you look into it. I really didn’t, but I’ll definitely try to make that point to do that over the weekend. okay well i appreciate that because again like the uh… previous caller said just dot listening to you over the years and uh…

uh… having uh… a kindred spirit and and with this thing of the simple church it’s out there and it is so many of our churches i’ve seen it i didn’t recognize or did not by name up until it was brought to my attention but it is you know it’s just something that i think that uh… that there’s really going on and in evangelism i know nothing will will stand against you know the gates of ald church and i do know that but if you know it just in the days ahead.

But if you get a chance, that’d be great and I hope I’d be listening sometime next week and get a response. Lord Vlaaschia, just keep on keeping on. All right. Thank you so much, Tom. Also, we had a lady yesterday about the Todd Bentley revival in Lakeland, Florida where so-called miracles are taking place. And I did a little bit of homework and from what I’m reading here, not only was he put in jail for blessing a seven-year-old boy but also physically abused his mother, was in jail for a number of B&E’s criminal burglaries, had some near death or near fatal drug overdoses and obviously was in prison for a number of different reasons, different times.

But for Isma Magazine in September 2002 had a lengthy article describing a number of the sorted background events in the life of Todd Bentley. For that person they called in the other day, there’s a lot more than what we had said and I didn’t realize it gets worse the more I study on it. We now are going to go to Bruce and Bruce is in Clearwater Florida and Bruce, welcome to Bibleline. Let’s see here Bruce is on line one.

Okay Bruce, welcome to Bibleline you on the earth. Good morning Pastor. Good morning. Heel, obviously we’re going to be judged according to the light that we have had and the light that we rejected. And they’re going to be in worse trouble if they are lost and good to hell, but a person who had not heard a clear message. And so there are degrees of punishment and health. If you read Matthew 11, you have there Christ cursing three cities on the northern edge of the city of Galilee that had Christ go through their cities and heal and preach.

And so he says it’s going to be better off for the cities of Sodom and other Old Testament cities that God judged than it would be for them when they’re cast into hell because they rejected greater light. And it even talks about the Sodom. The people of Sodom would be better off that the day of judgment than the people of Capernaum would be because they rejected such greater light. So I think this is a problem where if they hear and are claiming to be Christian reading the Bibles and they still don’t get it, they’re rejecting greater light.

And obviously, believers go to heaven, unbelievers go to hell, but believers will be judged at the judgment of Christ and giving an account for their works for the degree of reward. And unbelievers will be judged at the great white throne judgment. And they go to hell because they’re unbelievers, but their works will be examined there to determine the degree of punishment in hell. Obviously, this is sad. We just talked about it on the radio program a day or so ago about the 2 Timothy chapter 4, how that in the last days they would not endure sound doctrine.

And actually, if you look up the word endure, it means that they would stand up against or they would not put up with. In other words, they just don’t want to hear it. They don’t want to hear sound doctrine. I don’t want to hear what the Bible says, but they will continue to believe whatever lies that they have already been told. That’s a great passage to look up. Second Timothy chapter 4 verse 3, since the time will come and I believe it has, when they will not endure.

That word endure means to stand up against or not to put up with sound doctrine. But after their own lust, they would heat them to those teachers having itching ears and they would be turning away their ears from the truth they want to be entertained or here’s tickled and they would actually believe fables or lies or deceitful teachings which are conjured of the bible and i think that’s where were uh… at right here today so thank you so much for that call we don’t have can and st peterburg can welcome the bible you’re on the air hello i can although this is not a old kid or no you’re on the air go ahead darlin and what happened to the load on yet sir okay yet how you do it okay i was calling about Matthew i think it was not to do what my part

they believe they can do this out based on a kind of a can’t lose their salvation so she she knew that thing about the way to think that the guy had he was there but um… the lord told him to um… told people to come by an above and cast them to the outer darkness but when i read the script i was like i was like i think he never he never was saved because he never had on the government’s right to the middle of the year never accepted quite and i think it was a parable he was using for the uh…

for the off-parasy that that time when i already with the content um… could you elaborate more on that for well that’s right no same person would ever be cast out that’s a basic rule in interpreting the bible you know what interpreted difficult burst always in the light of a clear one and in john six thirty seven you have a clear one or crisis him that come at the me i will in no wise cast out so here in this passage in matthew uh…

christ is casting this man out and therefore he could not be a safe person because christ gives his word that he would never cast out a believer a safe person so the person must be an unbeliever none of course if you read the text more carefully you’ll discover the reasons why in this case he doesn’t have on the wedding garment which is the garment of salvation Isaiah 61 10 talks about a robe of righteousness a garment of salvation that every believer has it is received by faith in Christ alone when we trust him as our Savior we’re actually made righteous in God’s sight second Corinthians 5 21 says that God made Christ to be sinned for us Christ who knew knows Him that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

So in other words… Your sins and my sins were taken by God and laid upon Christ, this one who was absolutely sinless. And when we trust that He died for us, the very righteousness of Christ is, or of God, is credited to our account. And God sees the believer as righteous and on that basis will be able in our heaven. So that’s in Matthew chapter 22, the passage you were referring to, and it’s talking about a man who is not saved.

In Christ’s cast the amount They bind him hand and foot, they cast him in utter darkness. That’s hell. And this person is lost. And he was not a believer. Or if he had been a believer, he would have had the wedding garment, the garment, the salvation. And it would have been able to enter in. Well, we’re here at the weekend. It’s Friday.
