Jesus is either a liar, or He is God who came in the person of Jesus Christ to die for your sins and mine. Some reject the claims of Christ and at the same time claim that He is a great moral teacher. If Jesus lied about who He is, then He certainly could not have been a great moral teacher. Instead, that would have made him one of the greatest deceivers of all time. If he mistakenly thought that He was God, then He was a lunatic. Only one answer can be the correct one. The truth is that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who came to pay for the sins of the whole human race so that “whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE!”

We’re excited about the Lord’s coming and we believe He’s coming soon, maybe today, but possibly this year and we’re not date setters, but we know Truly, if you watch the signs, read the news, see the weather changes. You know, Jesus said in Luke 21, 25, there would be signs in the heavens, and we certainly see those in the sun, the moon, the stars.
Also we find on the earth perplexity of nations, problems without solution, but then the sea and the waves roaring, and look at the storms and the weather patterns and the flooding and the different forecasts for powerful hurricanes this year and so on. I think we’re really seeing the beginnings of what Christ said would happen. And he says in Luke 21, 28, when these things begin to come to pass, then lift up your heads and look up because your redemption draws nigh.
I think what we’re looking at right now, the beginning of these signs when Christ is going to come back first at the Rapture and will snatch us out. And then seven years later to rule and reign on this earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Wow, exciting stuff. Anyway, we are going to begin classes here, June, July 11th. And for five weeks we’ll teach two hours every Tuesday night from seven until nine on first and second Thessalonians.
And we’d love to have you if you’re in driving distance, come sit in the classes. Otherwise order the CD series and get the ten hours of teaching on first and second Thessalonians sent to you and you’ll be able to enjoy that in your car, in your home, or even have a Bible study using those teachings. We just finished a few months ago. The Book of Jude, the Book of Hebrews, the Book of Romans, all 10 hours of teaching on CD, that’s 30 hours of teaching.
All of that’s available plus about 40 sets of CDs. Plus now we have DVDs. All of this is available. Really exciting announcement is beginning Saturday, July 1st, we’ll debut on Light Source, which is the video equivalent of One Place. So when you go to our website, you’ll be able to click on the link on the home page for our television and be able to watch our television programs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, anywhere on the planet earth, just as you’re able to do the same now with our radio programs.
Wow is that exciting? Think about it. TV programs, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, worldwide and Bible and we’ll begin that on Saturday. You don’t want to miss that and so on Saturday you ought to be able to go to that link and be able to pull up our television programs and watch the worldwide exciting stuff. We’re going to be… We’re going to celebrate July 4th with a great big picnic after the worship service. Hot dogs and apple pie and lots of other things to go along with the picnic.
But I will be celebrating your welcome to come if you’re in driving distance to our morning worship at 1030. Stay for the July 4 celebration picnic and we hope that you’ll come by if you’re nearby. If you’re ever in town from out of town, please come by and see us during the week. Visit our resource center, which is open every day until about 4.30 in the afternoon. And then also you’re welcome to come by on a worship day on a Wednesday or Sunday and join us for worship here at Calvary Community.
And again those classes July 11th for five weeks every Tuesday night from 7 till 9 and It’d be great to have you in the classroom as a student Well, we’re going to talk about the Bible for a few minutes, and then we’ll take the phone calls We already have people calling in the phone number is 1-800-576-3771 1-800-576-3771 You know, Jesus Christ is either a liar or he is God who came in the person of Jesus Christ to die for your sins.
In John 14, 6, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man cometh unto the Father but by me. Well, some reject the claims of Christ, and at the same time claim that he is a great moral teacher. But if Jesus lied about who He is, then certainly He could not have been a great moral teacher. Instead, that would have made Him one of the greatest deceivers and liars of all time. If He mistakenly thought that He was God, then He was a lunatic.
Only one answer can be the correct one. The truth is that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who came to pay for the sins of the whole human race so that, as it says in John 3 16, whosoever that would believe in Him or trust in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. We’ll take a look at a couple of verses here just in the Gospel of Mark only, but Jesus made it plain that He was going to die on the cross telling us that before it ever came to pass.
Let me quote Mark 831, and He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many Many things, and be rejected of the elders that of the chief priests and scribes, and be killed in after three days, rise again. Let me quote Mark 9.12, and he answered them and told them, Elias must come first and restore all things, and how it is written of the Son of Man that he must suffer many things, and be said it not.
After 9 of Mark, verse 31, for he taught his disciples and said unto them, The Son of Man is delivered unto the hens of men, and they shall kill him, and after he is killed he shall rise the third day. Mark 10, verse 32 through 34, and they were in the way, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went before them, and they were amazed, and as they followed him they were afraid. When he took again the twelve and began to tell them what things should happen unto him, saying, He hold we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and under the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles, and they shall mock him, and scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him, and the third day he shall rise again.
So in Mark 1045, for even the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many. No doubt about it. Jesus made it plain that he is God, made it plain that he is the Messiah, made it plain that he was going to die to pay for our sins, be buried, and then rise again from the dead. Jesus made His identity the focal point of His teachings. The all-important question He put to those who followed Him was, whom do you say that I the Son of Man am?
And when Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God, in Matthew chapter 16 verses 15 through 16, Jesus was not shocked, nor did He rebuke Peter. On the contrary, he commended him. Read it for yourself. Matthew 16, 15 through 16. He saith unto them. But whom say ye that I am in Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God. He made this claim again and again, and his ear hearers got the full impact of his words.
We’re told in John’s Gospel chapter 5, therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the Sabbath, but said also that God was his Father making himself equal with God. In John 10, verse 30, Jesus said, I and my father are one. Immediately the Jews wanted to kill him. They replied for a good work, we stoned thee not, but for blasphemy. Becauseeth thou being a man, makeest thyself God. Jesus clearly claimed attributes that only belong to God.
When the paralytic was let down to the roof and placed at his feet, he said, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. This caused great to do among the scribes who said in their hearts, Why does this man speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only? Jesus knowing their thoughts said to them, Whether it is easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven me or say, Arise and think of thy bed and walk. And then he said, In effect, But that you may know that I, The Son of Man have power on earth to forgive sins which you rightly say that God alone can do, but which is invisible, I’ll do something you can see.
Turning to the Paul Zimani, he commanded him and said, Arise, take up thy bed and go thy way unto thy house. That’s Mark’s Gospel, chapter 2, verse 7. What is life is at stake? As of this claim, he asserted to the High Priest, who had put the question to him directly, art?? Thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed, Jesus replies, I AM. Then he continued, and you shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
The High Priest then tore his clothes and said, What need we of any further witnesses? You have heard the blasphemy in Mark 1461 through 64. So close was his connection with God that Jesus equated a man’s attitude toward himself with the man’s attitude toward God. In John 819 they said, and where is my Father? And Jesus said, you neither know me nor my Father. If you don’t know me, you should have known my Father also. In other words, to know Jesus was to know God.
In John 1245, and he that seeeth me, seeeth him that sent me. That is to say, to see Jesus was to see God. In John 1244, Jesus cried and said, he that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. In other words, to believe in Jesus was to believe in God. In Mark 937, whosoever shall receive one of such of these little children in my name receive with me. And whosoever receive with me, receiveeth not me, but him that sent me.
So to receive Jesus was to receive God. In John 15, 23, Jesus said, He that hated me, hated my father also. So to hate Jesus was to hate God. In John 5, 23, Jesus says that all men should honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son, honoreth not the Father which said him. In other words, to honor Jesus was to honor God. Wow! Jesus also made it plain that salvation is by faith alone in Him alone.
For God so loved the world, John 3 16 tells us that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, that what it means to trust in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus said in John 11, I am the resurrection and the life. He the believeth of me, though he were dead, yet shall he live, and his whoever leaventh him believeth of me shall never die. Do you believe this? Well, the Scriptures are plain that Jesus is God.
He is the only Savior. He is the Messiah, and without Christ you cannot make heaven unless you trust that he died and shed his blood for you, you will wind up an eternity in hell separated from God. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. This is Bibleline, and we’re excited about being with you. The phone number here is 1-800-576-3771. 1-800-576-3771. You’re invited to give us a call. We’re going to first go to an offer a question. We have Denise in Seminole. She calls in and she says, how do you know pets do not go to heaven?
Where in the Bible does it say this? Well, there’s no verse in the Bible anywhere. that says that your pet will go to heaven. And obviously animals do not have a soul and when they die they’ll just their life will end. But I do believe there will be animals in heaven. Jesus will come back on a white horse, Revelation 19. Also we will follow him on white horses. And so I believe that definitely there will be animals in heaven but not the phyto that that you love that will pass away in his existence.
The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians, chapter 15 verse 45 that man, not animals, was created as an ever living soul. So our souls will live on forever. And the Bible tells us in Matthew chapter 10 in verse 28, even if somebody kills your body, they cannot kill your soul. So as a believer, when you die, your soul and spirit will go to be with God in heaven. If you’re an unbeliever, your soul and spirit will go first to Hades but eventually be cast into the eternal hell.
We have Wayne in Tampa here, waiting on the line, and Wayne, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Good morning. I have a question. I’m going online and looking at different, you know, Bible apologetic sites. I’m seeing more and more come up from, I guess, you know, skeptics talking about, I guess, the ancient Babylonian, which I guess turned into ancient God of mister, or misterism and how that’s Christianity and Christian, you know, dogma and practices. And I was just, before I get too much into that, I’d like maybe you to give me what you know about that, if you know anything and how to sort of look at that and interpret that bank.
All right, Wayne, thank you. We have a wonderful book in our resource center called Two Babylons, which is a really, really great book, well, well referenced with archaeological and other evidence to demonstrate the truth of it. traces this system that began back in ancient Babylon and is a counterfeit of Christianity and is a counterfeit of Christ. And there is the worship system of a mother and her son. And the mother was Simoramas wife of Demrod and her son was Tamuz.
And of course this system spread throughout the world and is around even at this very hour. And wherever it would go the names would change but the system remained the same. And in Egypt the mother and son was Isis and Horus. In Italy it was Venus and Cupid. In Greece it was Aphrodite and Urus. In Israel it was Astroth and Baal. Astroth the short-forming Astrar or in the English Easter. So Easter is the mother of Baal and it was the worship of a mother and son.
When Constantine came along in 316 AD, he declared the world to be Christian and all of a sudden the woman became Mary and the son became Jesus. So the counterfeit of Christianity has got wed right into Christianity and many are accepting a false Christ because of the counterfeit system that got wed right into the Christian system. I would recommend that book. It’s not very expensive. We do have copies of it and it’s called Two Babylons. It’s in our Resource Center.
We also have got some other wonderful resources that will help our audience become appraised of what is going on. We have a great new one called Roman the Evangelicals which really will open your eyes as to how we are about ready to see the One World Church emerge and as soon as the Rapture happens it will be there. We have one called Understanding Roman Catholicism, a great book that does all the homework for you. It takes the latest catechism of the Roman Catholic Church, which is a dry reading, if you read it, it’s like reading the phone book.
But taking 37 doctrines, it gets all the quotes of those teachings from the catechism of the Roman Catholic Church, the latest one, and then compares what the Bible says. And you can make your own decision, but it’s quite a shocker to see how the Virgin The Catholic Church has become and has departed from the Bible. Hopefully Wayne that will help you a little bit. That system is there. It’s real. And for those who obviously don’t have the biblical perspective, think that maybe that we’re just something like that false cult system that has come down through history.
But that was the counterfeit of Satan from the very beginning. Butchan can’t put calls in off the air and he says he was told that there is a first resurrection for believers as a reward and then a second resurrection for others have you heard this before? Well there is what is called the first resurrection and the second resurrection and you can read about that in Revelation chapter 20 and those that are in the first resurrection are the saved and the second resurrection is those that are They are unsaved and those in the first resurrection will live in heaven forever.
Their believers and the second resurrection is that of unbelievers. They will be given a resurrection body and be cast into hell. So that’s absolutely true. So there are two resurrections that are separated by a thousand years. Revelation 20 verse 5 says the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. So after the first resurrection there will be a thousand year earthly rule of Jesus here on this earth and at the end of that thousand years he will then bring up all the unsaved dead out of Hades, give them resurrection bodies and cast them into the everlasting lake of fire.
Hopefully that will help and if you need more information call again and we’ll try to take care of it. We have Jeff off the air calling in from Venice, Florida. He says was John the Baptist the only active prophet in the New Testament? Well he’s actually the last of the Old Testament prophets. And John introduces Christ and then he goes off the scene. He’s killed, his head is cut off, and his head apparently was carried to Damascus, Syria. I’ve been to Damascus and I’ve been to the traditional site of the burial place of the head of John the Baptist.
His body was buried in Jerusalem, but his head was carried off to Damascus. He was the last Old Testament prophet and he introduced his Christ, closes out the Old Testament, and then the New Testament is underway. Jeff, I hope that helps. Jeff from Venice, Florida. Again, this is Bibleline. I’m Dr. Englund Strum and the phone Remember here, Bibleline is 1-800-576-3771, 1-800-576-3771. Tony in Richmond, Virginia just called in. He said the pastor’s wife is teaching in Sunday school. Is this okay?
And I believe it is. And of course, it’s under obviously the male authority, the leadership of the church, I’m sure, approving of teachers in the Sunday school system. And that’s just fine. We have women ages 21 to 30 teaching in our program and some are teenagers very close to the age of some of the teens. He removed himself from this program because of Timothy’s epistle and that’s I guess Tony who has removed himself. I believe that if you read that verse carefully in 2 Timothy 2 it says women are not to teach nor usurp authority and obviously if they are taking the leadership then they are totally wrong but to teach under the leadership and of course women are to teach children if you read that over in Titus chapter 2 also they can teach the older women the younger women, that’s fine as well, but not to take the authority away from the men or to be the
pastor of the church or elders or deacons. Thank you for that question and we now have Benjamin calling in from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Benjamin, welcome to Bibleline. Let me turn my radio off here. Okay. I mean, Dr. Hanks. Black people helped hinge the religion basically on map of head one time that was all we had. And one particular scripture in the Bible, which gave a lot of stuff.
He had care of world and he had the time and breath and they assumed that that scripture was talking about the color of Jesus. But I heard you the other day, said that he was probably… It’s a picture of Jesus in his second coming in all of his power and all of his glory. And the white hair, the gray hair is a picture of his age or wisdom that God is eternal, that he knows all. And of course it’s a picture of his power that he comes in all of his glory and he shines like the sun and so on.
And so it’s really a description of Christ as he will be the second coming. Oh, okay sir. Does that have anything to do with the color? No. That’s a quick word. When I was a little boy, maybe about four and a half and five years old, and I heard you’d discuss this or hang so whichever one you want to call them, and I used to get out early in the morning and sneak between my two brothers’ protection. One morning they were gone when I got up saying, when I said to myself, gonna get me, didn’t you’ll pray that night no boy I heard you make some reference to that and I wanted to ask you do you think that that was a ghost I mean the evil spirit well it would it would have to be if that was a real experience then it would
have to be one of Satan’s angels who would love to appear like a ghost and scare you and to mislead you but otherwise there are no departed spirits floating around here on this earth we got to take a break here we’ll come back If you’re Bible-ing Part 2, and stay tuned, go go away. Don’t go away. Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Engle and Striman. It’s great to be with you.

But I thank you in advance. We know that you, the listeners, are the ones that keep this program going. I don’t get paid to be on the radio. Notice our staff. We volunteer ourselves to it. But the expenses are great. It costs a great deal to be on the air.
And we believe there’s a great need to have this Bible and program out there. Maybe you feel the same. If God is telling you that, then maybe you might want to help us out and be a partner with us and help us not only continue on the air in your area, but also to expand this program. God bless you. Thank you in advance and we sure do appreciate every one of you who are listeners. We have several of the callers waiting to go here and so we’re going to go to Shauna in Tampa, Florida.
Shauna, welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air. Hi. Good morning, Dr. Hank. I was calling, I had a question about Ezekiel, Ezekiel and it’s 12, 12 sticks and it says in their sight you shall bear them on your shoulders and carry them out at twilight and you shall cover your face so that you cannot see the ground, for I’ve made you a sign to the house of Israel. And I was just wondering, and then it goes on to say like dig through the wall and I was just wondering if you could explain what that means.
Alright, let me take a look here. And that’s chapter 12. Yeah, 12 verse, it starts at verse 4 and then in 5 he says, stick through the wall in their sight and carry your belongings out through it. You’re talking about chapter 4 of Ezekiel. No, chapter 12 verse 5. Okay, I’m turning over there now. Okay. Chapter 12. Alright, and verse This is one of apparently the visions that God gave to Ezekiel. Sometimes God has him in act out something that is a prophecy that would be fulfilled and so on.
And so I think that’s probably what he’s talking about here that he was digging through the wall. He actually had to do that earlier in chapter four. That’s why I was saying chapter four because he there was supposed to lay on his side on his right side. He was a little drama there about what was going to happen to Jerusalem and it was really You an incredible prophecy. That one, when you do the calculations, actually thousands of years ago in Ezekiel takes us right down to the exact date of 1948 when Israel became a nation again.
It is a remarkable one and really exciting, but it was a drama that he played out. So I believe the same thing is taking place here that he’s basically telling Israel that they were a rebellious house and they weren’t paying attention. And so I think that he was talking about the judgment that God was going to bring upon them and how that their stuff would be removed. They were removed into Babylon and they were captives there for 70 years.
And I think that’s really what this is about here, it’s a vision of this prophet that he was to enact this out and what he did there would really happen to the nation of Israel. If he covered his head and his face so that he couldn’t see the ground, how could he do you understand how he would know where he was going? Well obviously the Jews didn’t know where they were going. were carried with captive into a land that they’d never seen before and I think that’s probably the picture that he was enacting out the fact that they would be like led away as captives and blind as to where they were going until they arrived over there.
So I think he was asked by God to play these things out. He was kind of showing them if they didn’t do what he said and this is kind of what was going to happen. That’s exactly right. Oh, okay. Thank you very much that really shed some light on well good. I’m glad you’re listening to the program Shanna I love the program and I also would be interested in coming to visit you sometimes. Well, I hope you will I hope that you’re feeling So much better and thank you for answering my question.
You’re very welcome. Thank you so much and that was Shanna in Tampa, Florida asking about Ezekiel Chapter 12 we now we’re going to go to Edgar in Petersburg Virginia and Edgar welcome the Bible on your own the year. Oh, great and pleased Dr. Hainte. Thank you. I was calling in reference to what you said earlier about women being able to teach Bible study, not Bible study, Sunday school and stuff like that. I don’t think women should teach men. Okay.
But I think children and other women is legitimate and you can read Titus chapter 2, which helps give further instruction there for women. Well, women teaching men are teaching the congregation, I think, is wrong. I think they could give testimony in church. But again, usually that’s under the invitation of the men of the pastor of the church, allowing for someone to come up and give testimony. Okay, so you’re saying that they have to have the sanctioning of the preside and pastor, shall be a man.
We had an experienced number of years ago, some lady came in and she was waving her hands and trying to get my attention and she said that God had given her a special message for the congregation that she was going to deliver that morning to our church. I said you’re not going to deliver it here. I didn’t let her come forward. I went down during one of the hymnsing and I told her that you can talk to me at the church but you’re not going to deliver any message.
And of course she was really kind of like I think demonically led because she had some strange story about boiled eggs and something else that somehow related to what she wanted to bring a message to the church about and really strange stuff. But no one didn’t let her do that. We just said I’m sorry. So that would be exactly what the Bible is talking about in a direct violation where this woman took it upon herself to bring some kind of a spiritual message to our church which is wrong.
OK. So what about a. I think when husband and wives, co-teaching can be good with the wife assisting the husband, I love to see men teaching. The wonderful example that is to the children of men taking spiritual leadership and whenever we can do that in our church, we try to have the wife maybe there be as a record keeper and assistant and helper and make it facilitate the class for the husband teaching. Okay, I’ve got another question for you, Dr.
Hank, and it also says that men and women both should submit to one another. Can you expound on that? Well, sure. That’s an Ephesians 5. Obviously we need to recognize that we’re all human beings with failures. Many times we men have flat sides that women can give us insight as far as compassion and love and forgiveness and things which they seem to excel in. And of course they have their flat sides where we are more factual and perhaps explain scriptures to them or give them direction as far as God’s will for the family and so on.
But I think we complement one another so obviously we need to submit in the areas where they are more qualified Okay, because you know I mean I’ve just been, I’ve heard two sides of both the quizzes as far as being married that I’m… and how many is not to be a dictator but he is too uh… obviously uh… you know brings wife in on the things that are going on that are major and uh… and allow her to have input and then uh…
her input might she might listen to you know pilot really should have listened to his wife uh… because she said uh… you shouldn’t have anything to do with this man he went ahead and and gave the order to have Christ crucified and obviously the Bible talks about the better that men were not born, that actually gave that command. And of course nobody is naming their little kids’ pilot today. That’s not a very popular name nor is Judas because of what they did with Jesus betrayed him and gave the command to kill him.
But no doubt about it. The wife there had insight that this is not a good thing to get yourself involved with Pilate and he went ahead anyway. Okay, I thank you shortly, Dr. Hay. All right, you’re most welcome. Pilate said, listen, his wife in that case and backed off, but he didn’t. She obviously had some insight that he didn’t have. We’re going to go to Troy in the land, Florida, and Troy, welcome to Bible Amen. I had a question about the orthodox Judaism and at the end you referred to them as being accepted.
Well what I said is that the Sanhedrin is going to be the body that will recognize the Messiah apparently from what I read and study. That group has been reconvened in Israel and it seems like that the Bible is very clear that Israel is going to accept the false Messiah as being the Messiah and they will be that group. Very religious Jews will be making that decision for the nation. So it was the Sanhedrin also that was responsible for bringing Christ before Pilate and made the decision to reject Christ.
So the religious Jews are going to be a major player here after the rapture takes place and I think the very fact that the Sanhedrin has been reconvened now for the first time in two thousand years is a significant sign that we’re really in the last days. And where could I find that in the Bible? Well I don’t know that you can. We know you can obviously the last chapters of Matthew Markle and John and you see how that they condemn Christ but as far as they’re recognizing him you’ll have to read that I’ve been reading on the the internet and i know that they are right now discussing where the third temple should be built and discussing the fact that the Messiah is coming and they are the body apparently that represents Israel and will be the body that will say yes he is the
Messiah. I’m not going to find an revival. So basically I could just look up Sanhedrin. and read about what they did in the past and we can surmise from that what power they’ll have in making these major decisions for the nation during the tribulation period. And that is in the bottle that they will… No, no, no it is not. But we know what they used to be able to do and how they were the body that really was responsible for Christ’s death.
But at the second coming we assumed that the other will be true and that’s what I’m reading already that they are the ones, for example, that are right now making the plans for where the third temple will be rebuilt. They’re the key ones. They’re the ones that will say go when that two-year-old is going to be able to do that. temple worship begins after the rapture. Okay. Is that in the Bible, Dr. Hank, about the third temple? The third temple is all over the place.
Sure. Yeah. There will be a third temple. If you read 2nd Thessalonians 2 verses 3 and 4, the Antichrist, after the rapture, will be revealed and it says that he will walk into that temple, which is obviously the third one, and he will proclaim to the world of his God and demand to be worshiped. So that’s just one of many references. Haggai chapter 2 has a reference to three temples, the temple of Solomon, the second temple that was existent in the time of Christ, and then the third temple which will, the splendor of it will outweigh both of the previous two will be the one the Messiah will dwell.
But also Daniel chapter 9 has all three temples mentioned there as well. Good, thank you all. Thank you so much Dr. Hank. You’re welcome, Troy, and there are a lot of more verses about the temple. And the third temple obviously is going to be. It’s just a fact from scripture, from prophecy. It is clearly ahead of us. And the preparations have already been made. We’ve had Gershan Solomon visit here for the past couple of years. He is in Jerusalem, and he and his organization, the Temple Mount Faithful, have been cutting the stones and making the preparations for many many years now and so everything is ready to go.
I believe we are closed. We have Off-Air, Melvin in Richmond, Virginia calls in. He says, what do you think of a co-pastor relationship with a husband and wife? Where the wife teaches when the husband is out of town, teaching somewhere else, is this okay? I don’t think so at all. That’s where we’re getting into trouble today where we have husband and wife pastor after teams and the wife is a pastor. I don’t believe she should be the pastor. I believe she ought to be the wife of the pastor.
So I believe that violates 2 Timothy chapter 2 verses 11 through 15. Thank you Melvin and we’re now going to go to an offer a question from Mark in Fort Lauderdale and he said where did God come from? Well the answer is God has always been and will always be. So there is no place from which he came. If someone created God, then that one would be God. But God has always existed. And his name actually means the self-existent eternal God.
So he’s always been and always will be. He says that he was in the beginning and obviously he also will be in the future. He’s forever. He’s an infinite God. Mark, I hope that helps, but God has no beginning. He has no ending, nor is Christ. And Mark, rather in Hebrews chapter 7, when it talks about Jesus as we believe Melchizedek was Christ, it says that he didn’t have a father or mother, did not have a beginning or an ending, but he is eternal.
All right, off the air in Plant City, Anton says about Genesis 1420 was this an example for tidying by Abraham to Melchizedek and who was Melchizedek? Well Melchizedek in Matthew in Hebrew chapter 7 I believe is Jesus and he made a pre-incarnate appearance to Abraham and Abraham gave a tenth of all that he had but that was not really the tithe because the tithe was under the Old Testament law a requirement this was a free will offering and he simply chose to give 10%.
We ought to also give to the Lord and maybe 10% is a good place to give but there is no law under the New Testament giving that we are to give a particular amount except a amount that we might choose based upon how God has blessed us. So maybe 10% is the right number but we not under the law. Hopefully that helps a little bit. If you will read 2 Corinthians 8 and 9, they would really talk pretty much about New Testament giving.
Where it talks about if you sow little, you will reap little. If you sow bountifully, you will reap bountifully. the context he’s talking about giving. He talks about giving from the heart that God loves the cheerful giver, the one who gives hilariously, the one who is not giving because of the need nor giving grudgingly, but willingly from the heart as the true expression of his love to God for what God has done for him. Okay, off the air in St.
Pete Beach we have Tracy. Tracy says that someone have to be married by an official or can they be married before got to be correct. Well, obviously the law of the land is that you need to be married by an official or if you just live together I think for seven years you can have a common law marriage. But actually it needs to be done by an official in the Bible God married Adam and Eve and throughout time you read about couples coming together and being married and then their marriage recorded and the Bible talks about a marriage contract which basically you get a marriage license today to get married and I believe that that’s really what you ought to do.
Otherwise there’s no real commitment there and anybody can just walk out and end it at any time. Whereas the Bible talked about you have a commitment when you have the marriage contract and those contracts were recorded and same as we do today I think. This is Bibleline. I’m Dr. Englins from the phone number. Here’s 1-800-576-3771. God. The feeling of the spirit is the responsibility of the individual through meldiness and that the spirit himself, you don’t get more or less of that spirit. You just put yourself out of the way so he’s more present because a person can’t be subdivided and a person can’t be more or less in one location than he is. Well, that’s exactly. Hang on. All right. Well, you pretty much explained it all because when you trust Christ’s Savior, you are in dwelt with the Holy Spirit and you don’t get part of the Holy Spirit, you get all the Holy Spirit.
He can’t be subdivided as you just said. But the Holy Spirit doesn’t have all of you. So the feeling of the Spirit has to do with how much control the Holy Spirit has over your life and this depended upon your yieldedness. So to the degree that you yield yourself to obey God, to that degree you are filled or controlled by the Holy Spirit. The best verse that seemingly explains that is Ephesians 5-18. It says, Be Not Drunk with Wine, where it is excess, but be filled with the Holy Spirit.
So what happens when you drink wine? come under the influence and it controls you and to the degree that you’ve drunk, why and to that degree you are controlled by the alcohol. Well obviously it says don’t do that but allow yourself to be controlled by the Holy Spirit and that comes by being obedient. If you read the rest of the chapter there in Ephesians 5 it gives you lots of examples about being controlled. And so as you submit yourself to obey the Lord and our obedient.
He says, There is no clear answer to that degree you are obedient to Him, or your field or control by the Lord. So it is your responsibility if you’re experiencing the inner spiritual spiritual experience of the Spirit. The fullness of the Spirit is described as a Believer who is doing that on a regular basis. Therefore experiencing an irregular basis being filled. That Believer is experiencing what we call the fullness of the Spirit. of the Spirit. I have a 12 hour series on the Holy Spirit and I cover all these things and you might want to call in and order that CD series of 12 hours and deals with all these things about the Holy Spirit.
We’re out of time. We’re going to have to say goodbye for today and come back again tomorrow. If you haven’t trusted Jesus, just whisper prayer. Tell the Lord, Lord, I’m a sinner, but I believe Jesus paid for those sins. I trust him right now that his death and shed blood was the means by which I’m saved. I believe that he died for me and I trust him right now to forgive my sin and give being the gift of eternal life.
God will save you the moment you trust Christ. That’s secure and forever. But then you need to make a second choice to serve him and that’s where rewards and blessings and joy and effectiveness happens and you begin to see God working in your life. So make those two choices. Trust Christ to be same and serve him and get in on rewards. But salvation is a gift. How to go? Keep looking up. Jesus is coming.
