Bibleline Radio Show – 2006-07-28 – The Heathen?

What about the person who has never heard the gospel? What about the heathen, the person in Africa, South America, Asia, etc., who has never heard of Jesus Christ? What will happen to them? Will they be saved? Does a person need to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ in order to be saved? These questions are asked again and again. What does the Bible say? Does the Bible have an answer? Yes, indeed, the Bible does have an answer.

We would love to have you come Tuesday night if you are driving distance.

If you have not been water baptized since you have been saved, you are invited to join in on this baptism and I will be delighted to be the one to baptize you.

Water baptism as an infant doesn’t count. No such thing in the Bible as infant baptism. You will not find it anywhere. before you got saved doesn’t count because baptism is a testimony of your faith after you’re saved of how you were cleansed of your sin by the blood of Christ, water doesn’t get you anywhere. But the Lord has asked us as believers to give testimony by water baptism, the water being symbolic, a picture of how we’re cleansed of our sin by the blood of Jesus Christ.

And so if you have not been water baptized since you have been saved, then obviously you’re welcome to get in on this baptism August 20th, the third Sunday in August. It’s a dinner Sunday. You can come join us for the morning worship, join us for the dinner, and then you can follow the caravan or we can give you directions and you can just meet us there. that we will have the baptism at three o’clock in the afternoon. So exciting.

Please call in and get your name on the list so that we can anticipate that you’re going to join us if you’d like to do that. This is Bibleline. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom and we come to you Monday through Friday live out of our studios here in Tampa. And we of course then are able to be heard on the internet 24 hours a day all around. We are excited about our audience up in New York. Apparently they really do enjoy us.

22 counties around Albany, New York were on WJIV 101.9 FM and 99.1 FM from 1-2 every day Monday through Friday Eastern Standard Time. We’re on in Memphis, Tennessee on AM1380 and that’s on at 9 in the morning and that’s live with us here in Tampa at 10am Eastern time. That’s 9 o’clock Central time. We’re if not on yet we should be on any day now on WTSJ 1050am radio in Cincinnati, Cincinnati’s Christian voice Cincinnati Ohio. I believe we’re on and so welcome to Bibleline we’re glad to have you there listening in Memphis, one of the news stations added to Bibleline.

We’re looking forward to getting into the Bible for a few minutes and then we’ll be taking your questions. We already have people calling in and we have some all-fair questions that we’ll be taking. Jesus said in John 14, 6, I am the way, the truth and the life and no No man came unto the Father, but by me. I had a fellow I heard about yesterday. He said he believed in God, but he didn’t believe in Christ, and he said he was saved.

Well, Jesus said in John 14, 1, you believe in God, believe also in me. And then he says in verse 6, I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life, and no man can come under the Father except by me. So anybody who claims to have God or has God as their Father is seriously mistaken if they reject Christ because Christ said I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life and no man can come under the Father except by me.

One of the interesting verses is over in 1 John for somebody who might be thinking that way. It It says in verse 23 of 1 John chapter 2, Whose Whoever Denyeth the Son, The Same Half Not The Father. Do you think we ought to share that with the Jehovah’s Witnesses? I’ll tell you. They deny the Son. So therefore they don’t have the Father. Can you imagine Jehovah’s Witnesses without Jehovah? Think about it. They don’t have Jehovah. They claim to be Jehovah’s Witnesses, but they don’t have Jehovah.

They don’t have YHWH because they deny the Son. Let me quote that verse again, and by the way you might want to write this one down and use it. It says in 1 John 2, 23, whosoever denyeth the son the same hath not the Father. So the witnesses who deny the son don’t have the Father, they don’t have Jehovah, they’re just witnesses and they’re false witnesses. They certainly don’t witness for the Jehovah or Yahweh of the Bible because they deny the son.

Let me quote that one more time. That is so good. who’s to ever deny the Son the same hath not the Father. So when they come to my door, I tell them you’re not your whole witnesses, you’re just witnesses because you don’t have the Father. You don’t have Jehovah. You don’t have Yahweh because you deny the Son. Wake them up. They need to be waking up because if they don’t come to recognize Jesus Christ as their Savior as the way the the way the truth of life, then they can’t go to the Father.

John 14, 6, Christ said, you believe in God, believe also in me. I am the way. I am the truth. I am the life. And no man come if unto the Father but by me. And what is so interesting in John 14 is Jesus said, if you had known me, if you had known me, you should have known my Father also and from henceforth you know him and have seen him. In Philip said in him, Lord, show us the Father, and it will satisfy us.

And then Jesus saved on him. Have I been so long a time with you, and yet thou hast not known me, Philip? He that has seen me half seen the Father, and how sayest thou then show us the Father. Jesus said, if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. Jesus Christ is God. And God revealed in flesh is the Lord Jesus Christ. And unless you trust Christ, you cannot go to the Father. He says, no man can come, no man can come, no man can come, no man can come.

That’s John 14 verse 6, no man can come under the Father. But by me. If you want to have the Father, you must trust Christ. 1 John 2 23. Remember it. Whosoever deny the Son the same half not the Father. But he that acknowledgeeth the Son half the Father also. Second John. Catch this one. Write it down. Second John verse 9. Whosoever transgressive and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ. Half not God. Oh! Look at that one. Another one, the Jehovah’s Witnesses ought to pay attention to.

If you don’t abide in the doctrine of price, that God came and took on human flesh, born in Bethlehem, revealed himself in human flesh, grew up and became a man, went to the cross, died and shed his blood on the cross of Calvary to pay for our sin debt and full, was buried and rose again from the dead. The Bible says you don’t have God. Guess what? Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t have God. They don’t have God the Father. They are totally lost, and without Christ you will not make heaven.

It says in 1 John 2 John 9, Whosoever transgresses, that’s everybody we’ve all sinned, and a bite of not in the doctrine of Christ doesn’t have gone, but he did a bite of the doctrine of Christ. He hath both the Father and the Son. Are you making notes? Do you have your pen handy? Are you writing these verses down? I certainly hope that you are. We’re talking about John 14 verse 6. We’re talking about 1 John chapter 3 verse 23.

We’re talking about 2 John verse 9. The advantage of going to the internet and hearing Bible and again is you can pause, you can go forward, you can go backward, you can listen to it again, you can write all these references down. I hope you’ll do that. We’re talking about pleading for souls here. My heart goes out to the cults and the cult members because these people have been blinded and without Christ they will spend an eternity in hell.

My heart goes out to them because obviously Christ died for them but they are rejecting the Savior who shed His blood for their sins and therefore they will not be saved and although So they think they are on their way someplace. They are going only straight to hell to be separated from God forever and ever and ever and ever. Jesus says three times in Mark chapter 9 verse 42, 44 and 46. He says the place where your soul will never die and the fire will never be quenched, where the soul will never die and the fire will never be quenched, where the soul will never die and the fire will never be quenched.

Jesus spoke more about hell than He did about heaven. That’s because He didn’t want anybody to go there. Jesus came and gave His life at the cross of Calvary because He didn’t want anyone to go to hell. My friend hell is real. You cannot put out the fires of hell and hell will be a place where everyone who has not trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior will spend all eternity. Don’t let it happen to you. It doesn’t have to.

No one has to go to hell. Whosoever the Bible says, believeth in Christ Should not perish Because he perished in your place, but you would have everlasting life. That’s a quote from John 3 16 Where it says for God to love the world That means you that he gave his only God and son this Jesus Christ that whosoever that means anyone That believeth in Christ or would trust in Christ should not perish but have everlasting life. Well, we’re going to go to the phone lines now.

The phone number here at Bibleline is 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. You’re welcome to call us and get in on the Bibleline program. By the way, we are having some phone problems. So hopefully you’ll be able to get through today. Maybe lightning we had a terrible storm yesterday might have done something they are coming out to repair. So we hope we get you up and we hope we get a good clear connection so we can put you up on the air with us.

Well anyway we have several offer questions. We’ll go ahead and get started with those and hopefully our phones will not be a problem the day you’re welcome to call in 1-800-576-3771. And if you’re counting down,description-the Lord’s coming could be very soon. We believe whatever year he’s coming, he’ll come on the Feast of Trumpets. I’m not saying he’s coming this year, but if he were, we’ve got less than two months We’re counting down. I’m ready to be raptured out. If you’re a believer, you’re going with you like it or not.

There’s nothing that can stop you from being caught up to be with the Lord. If you’re a believer, you’re going to be snatched up. Taken out of this world to miss the darkest hours which are yet ahead. And boy, we can see them coming on the earth. threat of war, threat of nuclear war, threat of horrible, horrible tragic things in our world today and I’m glad that as believers we can leave. Alright, the first caller is Angela in Tampa and Angela says explain the Hindu religion and how to witness to them.

Well obviously Hinduism is based on works. It really teaches the ultimate reunion is with Brahma, the Hindus God. They believe in the law of karma, the law of reaping in the next life, the harvest of one’s present life, so they believe in reincarnation. And basically the Hindus apparently have about four million gods. When you witness to them, oftentimes they’re very receptive and they don’t mind putting one more God on their shelf and so when you tell them about Jesus they’ll say sure I’ll take Jesus and I’ll put him on my shelf along with my four million other gods.

So you really have to distinguish that there is only one God and that God is the God of the Bible and God came to the earth and the person of Jesus and revealed himself and gave himself on the cross of Calvary to pay for sin. So I believe that you ought to really zero in that there’s only one God in none else. And Jesus is that God in human flesh. And Jesus, one of the cross and paid their full sin.

And that the only way the heaven is through Jesus. There is no other way, no other God. And of course, there is a reincarnation Hebrews 927 says it’s appointed unto men once to die and then the judgment you’ll stand before God. Now reincarnation teaches that you die and then you come back in another life form and then you die and you come back in another life form and you come back in another life form. The Bible doesn’t say that it’s appointed unto men once to die once to die once to die and then you stand before the judgment that’s Hebrews 927 that in your arsenal the Bible clearly rejects reincarnation.

Angela in Tampa calls in and says, is it okay to pray in tongues in private? Well, the amazing thing is that nobody is speaking in tongues today. So whether you think you’re praying in tongues or whatever, you’re not because what everybody is doing today is gibberish. And by the way, God understands English. So why would you want to do gibberish? And by the way, nobody understands gibberish, so therefore God doesn’t understand it either because it’s gibberish. So if you gibber, it’s just like a child and I have a nine month old grandbaby and she gibber’s away and just has a ball.

You know, she just has a ball. And I think that some of these people that claim they’re talking to God are just gibbering like a little child. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 14, don’t be like a child. Paul says to the great name believers, don’t be like a little baby, gibbering away. You need to speak like an adult. And God understands English and the modern-day tongues movement is a counterfeit. We have an incredible book here called The New Testament Teaching on Tongues by Merle author of the Unghur Bible Dictionary, that book just slams the nail right through the whole movement.

It shows from the Bible that what is being done today is not the real gift. Now I don’t mind people gibbering if they want a gibber, but when they tell me that it’s a Christian experience, that’s when I get excited. When they tell me it’s a biblical experience, that’s when I get excited because that’s wrong. It is not a biblical experience. It is not a Christian experience. It is an experience experienced by all the world religions. The people in Islam do it, the people in Buddhism do it, the people in all the native tribes in all the world do it.

Missionaries tell me that those who claim to do the gibberish go to language school, learn a foreign language, come down here to the jungle and then teach the natives to do the gibberish that the witch doctor has taught them to do for centuries. No progress made. They’ve always gibbered. And people gibber gibber gibber everywhere. But that’s not the real gift. It’s amazing. I was reading on a plane, I was flying to Dallas, and I grabbed a National Geographic, and in there was an article about all this gibberish and the shamas and the healing, all the way from Chile, all up through the South American and these mountains, all the way up to North America to Alaska.

But the same gibberish is done by all these different native groups and so on and so and about how interesting. He said, it is a common thread. If it were of God, why does God give it to all these people who are so distant from him, who are so far from Christ? Who don’t even recognize the Bible? It’s because it’s not of God. This modern day movement is clearly a counterfeit in the last days. You know, Matthew 24, 24, Jesus said in the last days that there would arise false preachers and they would show great signs in miracles.

in so much if it were possible they would deceive the very elect or believers. So who did Christ say would be doing the miracle gifts in the last days? He said it would be false preachers. False preachers. That’s right. F-A-L-S-E. False preachers would be doing miracles in signs. I’d be prospective anybody who claims to do signs in miracles today because the Bible said, Christ said 2,000 years ago that it would be false preachers doing it and he He says in verse 25 of Matthew 24, Behold I’ve told you beforehand, don’t get tricked.

I’m giving you 2000 years of advance warning. You think you could get ready to figure out who’s doing the signs and wonders in the last days? I’m going to tell you right now 2000 years before it happens. It’ll be false preachers. And boy, do people still miss it. What kind of warning do you need? What part about false preachers being doing the signs and wonders? do you not understand? Clearly, another award. I guess we’re having phone problems, but we’re going ahead and trying to catch all the offer questions we have.

David Plant City calls in a moment ago and says, did you know that in August, Mars is going to be as big as the moon? That is not true. And I get all this information, but I hate to say anything on the air unless I know it’s true and that is not true. So somebody’s not there having fun on the internet. Be careful that you don’t believe everything you read on the Internet as well. I only really trust my Bible to tell you the truth for reliable information.

Everything else can be and sometimes is not accurate. So that’s not true. So that sounds like a great sign of the Lord’s return, but the fact that Mars is going to be as big as the moon, I’ve read it, I’ve been given pictures from the Internet and I’ve done my home work and it’s not true. Okay, forget that. And then it says here, we’re in the Bible to say anything about the last Trump that we’re going to be raptured.

Well, you read that in 1 Corinthians 15, 51 through 54. And of course, the last Trump is an expression from the Old Testament. When the children of Israel were in the wilderness, God would lead them by the pillar fire at night in the cloud by the day. And so when the cloud began to lift up or the pillar fire at night began to lift up, they would sound a trumpet that was to pack your bags, pull up your tent pegs and pack up your tent.

And there was a series of trumpets and the last trump was, we move, we’re now going to follow the Lord as He guides us through the wilderness. Love that chorus, I used to sing this little boy. Lord knows the way through the wilderness. All I have to do is follow and what a wonderful picture of God leading his people. But the last Trump is when you move out and I believe that’s all it is to try to take the trumpets in Revelation and say that the Rapture happens when the seventh trumpet sounds.

That’s totally wrong. The seventh trumpet in Revelation is the second coming, not the rapture, and it’s right after Armageddon, and certainly not the picture of the rapture at all. Alright we have Lady Mrs. Burroughs in Dewberry, Florida. Is it appropriate to baptize a 12 year old at this age, even if they don’t understand what it means? And the answer is no. The key is, if they don’t understand what it means, they shouldn’t be baptized. of baptism is a testimonial on the part of the person being baptized, that they are giving testimony to the fact that they have been cleansed of their sin by the blood of Jesus Christ.

And so if the child doesn’t understand, then they shouldn’t be baptized. I have baptized children younger than that, but did understand. And I always consult the parents and ask their parents, do you also believe this child understands not only salvation but what they’re doing when they get baptized as a testimonial. So, if the 12 year old, if the 20 year old doesn’t understand what it means then I wouldn’t get baptized. So, if you don’t understand, that’s the key. So, they could be baptized younger than 12 if they understand that they’re giving testimony.

James and Clearwater calls in and he says, how do you witness to a pantheist friend? That’s kind of difficult because they believe God is everywhere in everything. And so if you pull a belief off of a plant that’s God and so on and so on. But I would use the Scriptures. The Scriptures are living in powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. And I have found people have some of the strangest beliefs in the world. And I quote scripture and share the gospel from the Bible.

and boom, 1-2-3 they trust the Lord of Savior. The Word of God is living in His powerful and can bring life to somebody who is spiritually dead. And so that’s what the key is, sharing the Word of God. And don’t be afraid to do that. They might say, I don’t believe it. Doesn’t matter. Tell them what the Bible has to say. Well, I reject the Scriptures too bad. Quote what the Scripture says anyway and the Word of God brings life.

I’ve had people tell me, I don’t believe the Bible. seven minutes later they trust the Lord when I give him the Scriptures and it’s just wonderful. We have got to go to break so don’t go away. Keep your radio dial tuned right where it is. Bibleline will be back in just a moment so keep your dial tuned right where it is and keep your Bible open and be ready to do Bible and part two as we’ll come back after this short break.

Don’t go away Bibleline will be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. This is 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Hank Liddenstrom and it’s great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning in and we just want to let you know that we’ve had a great week. This is Friday and we’ll be back again live on Monday. But in the meantime, we hope that you’ll attend church somewhere this weekend and if you are able, come by and see us.

Last weekend we had a couple fly up from Pompano Beach, Florida all the way across the state to visit with us in our worship service last Sunday. Some people are coming great distances. Maybe they come only once or maybe they come once a month or once a quarter, but we sure do love that they have our visitors come and see us. We’d love to meet you and the couple from Pompano, Jonathan, if you’re listening, we look forward to seeing you again.

They said they might come up as often as twice a month, getting on an airplane and flying to Tampa to come to worship with us here at Calvary. In any case, you can always listen to Bibleline or watch Bibleline on your internet 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I hope you’ll take a look at our internet site, BibleLineMinistries.org or .com. And by the way, we have an online bookstore. You could take a look at all of our resources.

There’s so many things on there. It’s so rich and so full that you’ll spend a lifetime probably before you see everything that’s on there. I’m not even familiar with everything. I want to thank David up in Virginia who does my website and for all those who contribute to it. But it is really right on the top of everything. And the TV programs are there. The quality is excellent. The sound is excellent. You can watch or hear by and blind anywhere in the world, seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

And we have 140 countries that have logged on this past year. Take advantage. Go to the website and check it out for yourself. We also want you to know that we are listeners supported. In the summertime people go on vacations, they forget about the Christian obligations, and if you could help us during the summer here, that would be great. Would you send maybe a special gift maybe above what you ordinarily give? Or if you could just say, I’ll give a first-time gift and I’ll maybe be considering being a regular contributor to the Bible and it would help us To be able to keep these programs on the air and to bring you these programs every week wherever you might be hearing us Does cost money and we don’t have it We trust God to supply it and he does do people just like you who enjoy

Bible and are the ones who support it with their Regular gifts God bless all of you who give to Bible and call or 800 numbers They’ll tell you the address or tell you how you can give a gift by credit card over the phone We’re about ready to do Bible and Part 2. We’re going to rejoin stations that have been on break. And by the way, if you don’t get the full program in your area, go to the Internet and get the full program off of the Internet BibleLineMinistries.org website.

Stay tuned. Here we go Bible and Part 2. Would you like to call Bible and ask Dr. Linz from a question? You can. Pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Alright, we’re through that break. This is by blend. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. We’re coming to you live from Tampa. From our studios right here at the Calvary Community Church located right next to Tampa’s International Airport. We’re just one block west of the main perimeter road.

Eisenhower Boulevard runs north and south on the west side of the airport, paralleling the main north-south runway. We’re just a block west of that and I really feel sometimes I’m so close to the airport I can reach out and slap those airplanes. I mean, we’re that close. So if you’re finding us, don’t go too far from the airport or you’re making a big mistake. Stay close. We’re just a block west. We’re due west of the airport. And we’d love to have you drop by and visit us sometime.

Come by and visit our Resource Center. Open every day till about 4.30 in the afternoon. And we have lots of things there that will, I think, help you and aid you in evangelism and growth in discipling and so on. There are all things that I recommend. I have invested a lot of money in books and a lot of my money was kind of wasted. I’m recommending the cream of the crop, the best things that I have found that have helped me in my studies.

So come by and visit with us. Also you’re always welcome to come by on a worship day and we are going to have a dinner Sunday, the third Sunday of August. That will be August 20th and that will also be a baptism day. They’re inviting anybody that has not been water baptized since they have been saved. To join us in this baptism I’ll be delighted and I’d be honored to be the one to baptize you. So water baptism doesn’t save and it is a testimony of how we’re cleansed of our sin by the blood of Jesus.

But you know, if you’ve not been water baptized since you’ve been saved then you need to be baptized, not to be saved, but because it gives testimony. So if you were baptized as an infant, I was. But that didn’t count. I recognized once I got saved that I needed to be immersed as a picture of my cleansing by the blood of Jesus. And so I was immersed, totally. As a believer, giving testimony, my baptism as an infant didn’t count.

My mother and father didn’t know. They followed what the church taught and they took me and I guess they had the Minister sprinkle water on me and they called that baptism. Well, there is no such thing as infant baptism in your Bible. I don’t care whose Bible it is. That is totally a man-made doctrine, not in the Bible at all. If you were baptized before your salvation experience, I don’t care how you were baptized. That doesn’t count because believer’s baptism is a testimonial.

your saved of how you’re cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Well we have some questions here. Off air we’ll take those. We are having phone problems. I was just told during the break that we are having phone difficulties here today. So if you’re trying to get through, we apologize. The phone company is coming out and lightning must have been the culprit with our phone problems. They are of our lines seem to be all garbled up. time. Keep trying and maybe it will get better.

I don’t know. We hope that it’ll be fixed certainly by Monday we should be all set to go again. Thanks again for giving the Bible and you know you folks that give our lifeline that keeps this program going because without your gifts we could not be on the air. We don’t have a piggy bank, we don’t have a reserve account, we don’t have pledges or subscribers and I don’t get paid, our staff doesn’t get But we donate our time to this program, but you know it does cost.

It’s expensive to do what we’re doing because we’re just stretching ourselves right out there beyond what we have money to pay for. So we’re trusting God big time and amazingly He’s wonderfully supplied. So if you’d like to be a part of that and invest in Bible and in eternity, please do send your gift to Bible and or give a gift by credit card over the phone. If you can get through on our phones till our operator, you’d like to do that and will arrange that.

Alright Anna in Largo, Florida just called in and she said, is sprinkling by water a baptism? And the answer is no. The Greek word Babtismos, that’s translated by baptism, means the fully well, the fully immersed. And there is a totally different word in the Greek for sprinkling. And sprinkling is a matter of convenience in some churches. They don’t want to, I guess, go to the bottle to put you all the way under the water. But no, that is not baptism.

Baptism is immersion. The Greek word, get a concordance and this is what you need to do and look up the Greek word Babtizmas or Babtizo, the verb in the noun form and you’ll find it means to fully MERS! He is a teacher of our sins being washed away by the blood of Christ. Christ completely washes us from head to toe. Every sin you’d ever commit past, present and future was paid for by Christ at Calvary. Off the air, Joe in Tampa calls in, he says he bought a Bible about a month ago called the message Bible.

It’s in very plain language. Have I ever heard of this Bible? What do you think about this Bible? It’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen. He thinks it’s put out by Peterson and you’re right. Well, the message Bible is the Bible being made pocketed on by Rick Warren. It is absolutely terrible. It is, I think, disgraceful. In the Lord’s Prayer, it talks about thanking God for three squares every day. And I think it’s somewhat disrespectful. You know, when the Bible says, our Father, which art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

name. How can we approach him with, I think, somewhat disrespect and say, thank you, God, for three squares every day? I think that we need to approach God in a holy way. In Matthew 7, they totally, absolutely reversed the meaning of that passage of those coming to Christ and Christ says, I never knew them. Absolutely reversed the passage, teaches salvation by works and tells us that they weren’t saved because they didn’t do enough works. The opposite is true. They were not saved because they didn’t trust in the blood of Christ and so on and so on.

So in any case, the message Bible is one of the worst things out yet that I have seen. I don’t even think it’s worthy of having in your collection of Bibles. I bought one just simply to be able to be up to speed with everything, but as I read it, I got nauseous. I think is disrespectful and certainly is not scholarly. It does change and absolutely reverses the meaning of some passages and you’re getting cheated. It is over refund Joe.

Take it back to where we bought it and ask for a refund. That is a terrible Bible. The message Bible is the worst one out there. Rick Warren loves it. Maybe that’s an indication of where he is spiritually but that is a bad one. Here Mike in Seminole calls in any verses to prove baptism is not a part of salvation absolutely Mike First Corinthians one fourteen Paul says I thank God that I baptized none of you. How can he ever say that?

because Paul When people get saved if baptism were part of salvation he would be saying I thank God that none of you are saved That’s first Corinthians one fourteen Then we’re seventy first Corinthians one seventy Paul says Christ sent me not to preach the gospel, not to baptize, but to preach the gospel. So Paul was saying he didn’t send me to baptize. He sent me to preach the gospel. He could never say that if water baptism were part of the gospel message.

It’s not. Water baptism is a testimonial of a person who is saved of how we’re cleansed by the mother of Christ, the water is merely symbolic. Those are a couple of verses where many more I have a CD out that covers 10 baptisms in the New Testament. You will find that incredible. Most people don’t think of anything but water baptism. When there are 10 baptisms taught in the New Testament, most of them are dry. They don’t involve the liquid at all.

Think about the baptism of fire. There’s no water. The baptism of the Holy Spirit. There’s no water. The baptism of death. There’s no water and so on and so on you’ll find it a great great study if you go on my internet site go to Dr. Lynch’s articles. I’ve got about four articles on Baptism one’s called x 238 where we cover that particular verse and then we had a couple of entitled by water baptism You’ll find it a very fascinating study Alright done in West Palm Beach called in and he said if a believer takes his life suicide Is this proof he was never saved?

No, not at all. Believers can take their lives, just like anyone else. That’s proof that they were apparently depressed and wanted to leave this life early. Is it right to take your life? No. Will it cause you to lose your salvation? No. John 637, Jesus said to him that come up to me, I will in no wise cast out. No exception clause. He doesn’t say except for suicide. So John 637 makes it very clear that once you trust Christ there is nothing you could ever do that would ever cause you to be lost.

I like Romans 8, 38, and 39. Paul says I’m persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor things to come nor height nor death nor any other creation shall be able to separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. My friend, nothing in your future, nothing in your present life, nothing could ever take you out of the family of God. Once you become saved, you’re stuck. You have to go to heaven whether you like it or not.

Bob and Sarasota said you’re talking so nicely about all these other Bibles. Why don’t you just come out and call these other versions counterfeits or trash? Okay, Bob. They’re trash and counterfeits. Thank you. I just didn’t want to go that far, but you just pushed my button. We now have John in West Palm Beach. He says, oh, we just answered that when I’m sorry, but that was about suicide. We have been Joe in Tampa, Florida. And I think we already answered that one.

We’re now going to go to Ed in Tampa, Florida. Is there anything in the New Testament regarding the false church before the Rapture? Absolutely. It says in 1 Timothy, chapter 4, the Holy Spirit speaks expressly. In the latter days, people would depart from the faith, the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons. We see it happening everywhere. 2 Timothy, chapter 4, verses 3 and 4 says the time would come which has already arrived when they would not endure sound doctrine.

But after their own lust they would heap themselves teachers having ears that want to be tickled and turn away their ears from the truth and be turned unto to fiction, fiction, fiction, fables, lies, and we see it happening. Obviously there are many verses that talk about the departure. First, a second Timothy chapter 3, that whole chapter deals with in the latter days what kind of things we’d read in our headlines and how that people would be godly in a sense, but yet they would deny the gospel message that saves.

So, the religious, but yet lost, religious, but unsaved. And so, it’s interesting that we can’t count on the fact that somebody in a Christian meeting is saved. We have to make sure by asking them the right questions. We had in our 1st and 2nd Pecylonians class this past Tuesday, two men get saved. Some people are shocked. But you had people get saved in a college level class on 1st and 2nd Pecylonians, that’s right. You can’t ever assume that somebody because they’re in a Bible study or carry a Bible or even claim that they’re a Christian have really understood the Gospel and really it’s important for us to realize that and make sure that our relatives are saved, that we ask the right questions, are they certain of where they would spend eternity, have they trusted Jesus Christ alone as the only means of their salvation?

We need to start asking the right questions and make sure that our loved ones know Christ as their Savior. We have off the air John in Upper State New York. Ezekiel 35 and 36 says, land will never be inhabited again. That is not true. It tells you right in this very chapter that the Jewish people would be returned back to the land. Let me read from Ezekiel 36, it’s saying the opposite of what you’re telling me. It says, in that they shall have friends you from all your iniquities and I’ll cause you to dwell in the cities and the wastes shall be building.

The desolate land shall be killed at Israel, whereas the lay desolate inside of all the past by, and they shall say this land that was desolate is become like the Garden of Eden. The waste in desolate and ruined cities are become fenced and are made inhabitable. So that’s the opposite. I don’t know what verse you’re reading from or what chapter you’re reading from, but if I’m just quoted now from Ezekiel chapter 36, where it doesn’t say the land will never of inhabiting, says the land that was vacated when God removed the Jews from off their land and scattered them 2,000 years ago would be inhabited again and they would come back and rebuild those waste cities and the land would become like the Garden of Eden again and certainly we’re seeing these prophecies fulfilled today.

Alright, Ken in Plantation, Florida calls in and he says you like the King James Version. Do you recommend a publisher? Who is the best? Anybody who publishes the King James, I think, is probably doing his all-good service. I like the Schofield Reference Bible, King James Edition. That’s what we have in our Resource Center here. But I prefer the old Schofield above the new. the notes I’m talking about. In the King James Bible to have the skillful notes is really to have a personal Bible teacher there to help you through the doctrines of the Bible and to make them plain.

We have a soft cover for fifteen dollars and a hard cover for twenty and so on. You might want to order one through Bibleline. It will help Bibleline a little bit but also you will be glad that you have a real good reference Bible in your hand. We have Andrea in Lakeland, Florida. She says, how do you save a handicapped or mentally challenged person? She says she has a brother that can’t understand. I believe that you need to tell them about Jesus, but the potential is there that they never become accountable.

Children under the age of accountability are not accountable and they go to heaven. They never become accountable to trust Christ. I believe that there are those who are minimally challenged that are not capable of making the decision, therefore they’re going to make heaven. But just to make sure, tell them all about Jesus, I have had some, and I’ve done funerals for them that didn’t understand much, but they knew John 3 16, they believed Jesus was their Savior, and they loved Jesus, and it was really precious because they had a purity about them because of their mentally challenged condition that they just had a very pure love for the Lord and really did trust Jesus as their Savior.

But I know that there are some who probably will never become accountable that cannot make that decision to trust the Lord. The key back in the book of Jonah, the last verse, as the one a child becomes accountable is when they can tell their left hand from their right. And if your brother can’t tell his left from his right, he probably is not accountable to trust the Lord and will go to heaven when he dies and you can see him there for sure.

But just so you make sure, if he is accountable, make sure that you just tell him about John 3 16 as often as you can and review how Jesus loved him and died for him. if he would trust him, he would be saved. Jeff, in Venice, Florida calls him, where in the Bible is it referenced 144,000? Well, that is Revelation seven, one through eight, tells us about 144,000 Jewish men, 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes that will be the dynamic witnesses during the seven years of tribulation following the rapture.

So the answer is Revelation 7. Again in Revelation 14 verses 1 through 6, it tells us further about them that they are men and that they are virgin men. So there are no women in the hundred forty-two thousand. They’re all Jewish and they’re all men. They’re all virgin men. So three things you need to know about the hundred and forty-four thousand. Benjamin in Clearwater calls in just now and he says please answer today. He has a Bible study tonight 7 trumpet seven seals seven cup.

I don’t know what the The cup must be the vile judgment came from God or from the Antichrist these judgments are all judgments coming from God in the book of Revelation and The order is in chapter 6 of Revelation the seven seals come first 1st. And then chapter 8, the 7 trumpet judgments, and then later in chapter 16, the 7 vile or bold judgments, and they’re all judgments from God. There’s also 7 thunder judgments that you didn’t mention that are not explained as to what they are in the book of Revelation.

So there’s 4 judgments of 7 judgments under each one, 7 seals, 7 trumpets, 7 thunder, 7 vile or bold judgments. That means a total of 28 major judgments during that 7-year period of tribulation. Seven judgments times those four, the seal judgments, the trumpet judgments, the thunder judgments and the biolar bowl judgments, a total of 28 major judgments in addition to many others during the tribulation period. My Revelation series will really help you. You might want to get the 12-hour series on CD that will cover verse by verse the entire book of Revelation.

I recommend that highly for you. Alright, we’ve been answering all fair questions. Our phones apparently are still having problems. And somehow they’ve been able to get the all fair questions to me. But we’ve been having trouble the… Apparently the lines are very static-y and would not be a good presentation on the radio. Hopefully we’ll have them repaired by Monday’s program and hopefully you’ll be able to get your questions through or get live up on the radio on Monday. We have a sheet you can call in about and we’ll send it out to you on 25 basic doctrines that a good church ought to have.

If you haven’t trusted Christ, just whisper that prayer, Lord, I’m a sinner. I don’t understand much about the Bible, but I believe Jesus died for me and paid my sin debt in full by his death and shed blood was buried. Rose again from the dead, God saves you the moment you trust him. And then make that second decision to serve him and you’ll get in on the rewards and blessings that come by living for Christ.
