Bibleline Radio Show – 2006-09-14 – He Which Is Filthy

Justification originates in grace; is through the redemptive and propitiatory work of Christ, who has vindicated the law; is by faith, not of works and may be defined as the judicial act of God whereby he justly declares righteous one who believes on Jesus Christ.

I’m feeling like my life is not going to happen. I’m feeling like my life is not going to happen. I’m feeling like my life is not going to happen. Don’t you? I still hope I can’t go home till my true peace and peace and peace and peace. Welcome to Bibleline with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Coming to you from Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida declaring God’s love through God’s love. through radio and television, providing real answers to an ever searching world.

God a question, dial toll free at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. Now here’s the host of Bibleline, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Well, good morning and welcome to Bibleline. Great to be with you today. Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We appreciate you and all of our listeners and thank you for calling in and listening to the program and we are coming to you live from Tampa, Florida from our studios at the Calvary Community Church in Tampa. And we’re located right next to Tampa’s airport at 4811 George Road in Tampa.

We’re just the block west of the airport, easy to find and if you have a chance to come by, we’d love to have you visit our Resource Center. open every day till about 4.30 in the afternoon, Eastern Standard Time. Also, you can come by on a worship day. And this Sunday would be a great day to come by. We’re having a lunch dinner right after the morning service of you came at 10.30 and brought your family and your Bible and your appetite.

You’ll be welcome to stay for the lunch, the dinner. And enjoy a wonderful time of good eating and fellowship and that is something we do every third Sunday. By the way, this Sunday also we’re going to have a baptism at three in the afternoon at a lake just a little bit north of Bible and headquarters and you’re welcome to be in that baptism if you have not been water baptized as a testimony of your faith in Jesus Christ and how you’ve been cleansed by the blood of Christ.

ought to do that. We hope that you will join us for that baptism. You can call and get your name on the list if you are in driving distance and we would be honored to baptize you. Infant baptism does not count. If you were baptized as an infant, it does not count. By the way, baptism does not save us. Water would never wash away your sin. Only the blood of Christ could wash away your sin. But as a believer, if you were baptized before your salvation experience, that doesn’t count either because you had nothing to give testimony to.

So as a believer, after you’ve been saved, after you’ve trusted Christ, you give testimony to your salvation by water baptism, which is a picture of how your cleanse of your sin by Christ’s shed blood at the cross of Calvary. You are welcome to call us. Our phone number here is 1-800-576-3771. And we can take your question off air or we can take it on air. And you can just call in and get in line to get up on the air.

First, we’re going to talk about the Bible for a few minutes and then we will take your call. Next Tuesday, we’re going to begin classes again and we’re announcing the title today. It’s called meeting the challenge. Meeting the challenge. This is going to be a broad-based class that will really define terms and practices and the secrets of the Christian life. To be an effective dynamic Christian, this class will really help you. Meeting the challenge. Are you willing to step up to the plate and move your Christian life along to the next level?

Well, this class for 10 hours of teaching, five weeks, two hours per week, beginning next Tuesday night, the 19th of September, from seven till nine, for five weeks, that’ll be 10 hours of teaching. We welcome you to come and take the class called meeting the challenge. I hope you will be a part of it. I love to have you as a student in my classroom. If you live in areas where you are not able to come and be a part of the actual class, you can order the CD series and it will be another one of our great series here in teaching.

Things that will help you. Now that you are saved, what is next? What do you do next? Meeting the challenge will answer all those questions for you. Please feel free to be a part of the CD series. So please feel free to be a part of that class and come on out. There is a fee, but it goes to help Bible on sale in the year. $50, which is really $5 a class, which will help us keep Bibleline going.

We’re going to turn out to our Bibles. And in Romans chapter 3, it tells us in verse 10, as it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. Think of the 10 best people that you know. The 10 best, maybe in your family or in the world at large. And guess what? There is none righteous, no not one. Now it doesn’t say that there’s none religious. There’s a lot of folks that are religious, but there’s none righteous, no not one.

It’s really saying that everybody in the human race is a sinner. There is none righteous, no not one. Romans 3 and 10. In verse 12 it says there is none that doeth good, no not one. You know, oftentimes here phrase is like, well she’s such a good person. Well guess what? In God’s sight there is none good. When the rich young ruler came to Christ in Matthew chapter 19 and he called Jesus good master. Jesus said to him, why do you call me good?

There is none good, there is none good but one, and that is God. So only God is good. And there is no one in the human race that is considered good by God or is considered righteous by God. There might be many religious, there might be many that are educated, there might be many that are cultured, there might be many that are sophisticated, but there’s none righteous. for sure. And verse 23 of Romans 3 sums it up, it says, for all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God.

You see, in order to enter heaven, we’d have to be as righteous as God is. And the Bible says we’ve all come short of the glory of God. We’ve all come short of the righteousness of God. And it is God’s righteousness that is the requirement for entrance into heaven. How many times do you hear that preached? Well, I seldom hear it preached, but that is the standard and that is why your human works and my human works are not going to get you to heaven.

You know, the Bible says in Isaiah 64, 6 that all of our righteous deeds are as filthy rags. That’s right. Not just our sins, which obviously are filthy rags, but it says all All of our righteousnesses, in other words, the best things that you do, the most righteous acts that you do. The Bible says, are nothing but filthy rights. If you were to pile up all of your life’s accomplishments in a big pile before God, God would look at it and say, that’s nothing but a pile of filthy rights.

There’s nothing there that is deserving of eternal life. There’s nothing there that would be deserving of your sins being forgiven. There’s nothing there that would give you entrance into heaven. The Bible says that our righteous deeds are filthy ranks. Romans 3, 10, there is none righteous, no, not one. Not one person is righteous. It says in Romans 3, 12, there’s none that doeth good, no, not one. So when we look at each other, we might compare and say, well, I’m better than you, and that might be true.

But when you look down from heaven upon the human race, the Bible says they’re all together filthy. They’re all together unrighteous. And so when the Bible describes the unrighteous, it’s describing those that are unsaved that have not the righteousness that God requires for salvation, but the righteousness which which is required for salvation is offered as a gift to all that would believe. Let me read to you a wonderful verse here in Romans 3 and verse 22 where it says, Even the righteousness of God, which is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe.

So what is saying here is that God offers his righteousness. That means everybody in the human race could receive the righteousness which is required to enter heaven. But it’s only upon those that believe. That’s the phrase you need to mark in your Bible. Romans 3 22, it’s unto all, it’s offered to everyone in the human race. But it’s only upon those that believe. When you believe, then God credits your account with his righteousness, so the righteous in the Bible are those that are believers.

Because as we just read in Romans 3 and 10, as it is written, there is none righteous, no not one. No not one is righteous. And yet the Bible demands righteousness, the righteousness of God for entrance into heaven. And verse 22 of Romans 3 says that very righteousness of God is offered unto all but is only upon all that believe. So when you become a believer, God credits your account with righteousness and God sees you as righteous. Let me quote Romans 4.5 where it says, but to him that work if not, that shocked me when I saw that.

To the one who does not work, it says, but believeth on Christ who justifies the ungodly, his faith or her faith in Christ is counted for righteousness. Do you have the righteousness that God accounts to your account when you trust Christ as your Savior? If you are working your way to heaven, then you certainly do not. Eternal life is God’s gift. It is purchased by Christ’s death. There is none righteous and yet you must be righteous to inner heaven.

That righteousness that will cause you to to be able to enter heaven is given as God’s gift when you trust Christ as your Savior. Moments 4-5 again, but to him that worketh not, but believeeth on Christ that justified him. Godly his faith in Christ is counted for righteousness. His faith in Christ is counted for righteousness. I’m Dr. Englinschruem. This is by the line. Great to be with you today. And this is our television day. We were already on this morning on the dish network at seven o’clock on Angel One on Sky Angel.

At eight o’clock we were on more television, Channel 32 in the local Tampa Bay area, and at 6.30 tonight we’ll be on direct TV nationwide on World Harvest Television Channel 321, and then at seven o’clock tonight on the Christian Television Network that’s at 7 p.m. tonight all over the west coast of Florida on cable from Fort Myers to Crystal River over to Orlando. Also on our internet site you’re able to watch our television programs probably for the last six months and also you can listen to our radio programs beginning with today’s program right now we’re streaming live to the internet.

I was talking to a fellow in Illinois this morning and he is or was going to attempt to listen to this program live. So hi, do you, the fellow I spoke to this morning from Illinois, I hope you were able to find us up on the internet there and are listening to the program right now. Well, we’re going to go to the phone lines. I’m Dr. Engleins from Mrs. Byblind. The phone number is 1-800-576-3771. Off the air, Jack, in Venice, Florida calls in.

He says at what point or moment does the Holy Spirit indwell a believer? The answer is, at the very instant that you trust Christ as Savior, at that very instant God the Holy Spirit comes and indwells in your body. Ephesians 1.13 says, having heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, having believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. So the Holy Spirit comes and indwells you and seals you as his possession at the very Every moment you believe it should read, and the tense is not real clear in the King James, but it should read, having believed you were sealed, having believed you were sealed, Ephesians 1, 13.

So simultaneous with belief, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit, and that happens at the moment of belief. So when you trust Christ, you are going to enter his family as a newborn child, and God the Holy Spirit is going to enter into your body at the moment you believe. We have the classes again that we mentioned earlier beginning next Tuesday. I certainly hope if you live in the area where you are in driving distance you will come and take the class for calling it meeting the challenge.

It is going to be broad based and really help bring you to the next level in your Christian life. If you are willing to come and learn, I believe this will transform your life. You are saved by grace. But that second decision. Where you choose to serve the Lord is when things really begin to pop and happen in your life. That’s when God really becomes real. And this class will bring you to that next level. I hope you’ll be here in the classroom if you’re driving this.

But if you live in other areas, I hope you’ll get the CDs and be able to take the class at your leisure where you might live. We have anonymous in DeBary, Florida near the land, Florida, over the on the east coast of the state of Florida, near St. Augustine and the Tona Beach and so on. DeBary, the caller is anonymous and says, Adam and Eve had Cain and Abel. But where does the rest of the population come in? How did the rest of the population happen?

Her priest could not give her any answer, so she wants to be anonymous. The answer is, Adam and Eve had many children. They had sons and daughters. If you read Genesis 5 and verse 4, it tells us that Adam lived 930 years and began sons and daughters, chapter 5 verse 4. So obviously they had lots of children. And we believe that many of those births in those days were multiple births. In other words, can’t enable, we believe we’re twins.

That’s right. There’s one conception mentioned in Genesis 4.1, but two children come forth from that one conception. And of course, one of the things of the curse was he would multiply their conception. So we believe a lot of those early births were multiple births or twins or triplets. And can you imagine how the population could greatly grow? It is believed by the time of the murder when Cain killed Abel there was a population on the earth of around 100,000 people.

Can you imagine? It’s amazing. But anyway, that’s where the rest of the population came from. Adam and Eve had children, their children had children, they lived long lives and they had children apparently throughout their lives. And in Genesis 5, 4 it says, Adam and Eve lived 930 years and we got sons and daughters. Thank you for listening up there in Deberry and maybe you can give your priest an answer now that you know the answer and tell him to tune into Bibleline up there in Deberry, Florida.

of Carl in Sarasota was Pontius Pilate saved or was he doomed like Judas? We have no record that Pontius Pilate ever got saved. So I’m assuming that he was lost as Judas was never a believer. I do not believe Pontius Pilate ever got saved. Now if he did, there There is no scriptural record, but certainly we don’t have many parents wanting to name their children after Him doing. How many children have you seen running around? There’s little Pontius or there’s little Pilate.

Ah, nobody wants to name their kid Judas either. And there’s Judas. They don’t generally do that because of what these men did in rejecting Christ and bringing Him to the cross of Calvary. We have Frank down in Sarasota and Frank, welcome to violin. Hi Dr. Hank, thank you for taking my phone call. I appreciate it. I had a question on, I think it’s the first Christians are fellow and with the son Jesus Jesus Christ and I was trying to get more clarification on just the biblical meaning of fellowship with Christ fellowship with the Father because there’s certain statements Okay.

that I sometimes hear that a Christian can create fellowship with, you know, I don’t think just trying to get some clarification. Sure. And John’s whole concept of fellowship as a believer. Fellowship has to do with our intimacy with the Lord and is not the same as our relationship. When we are born again, when we get saved, we are then related to God the Father as his son or daughter. We become born again into his family and that That is of course permanent and forever.

Once you become saved, you never become unsafe. Once you become saved, you can, or born again, you never become unborn. But our walk, as we sometimes call it, or our intimacy is dependent upon our actions. And you’ll notice here that John tells us in verse 6, if we, verse 7, rather, if we walk in the light. Because Christ isn’t alike, we have fellowship. The fellowship is depending upon walking. It says that in Amos chapter 3 verse 2, how can two walk together except they be in agreement?

That’s a good way to define it. You have to come around in your life so that you’re in agreement with the Lord about the things that He tells you that you ought to do. You become submissive to do those things. If you’re walking in the same direction that He directs you from His Word, then you’re going to be able to do that. be in step with him, which is really basically the same thing as being in fellowship with him.

If you ever watch a group of soldiers marching, one person marching on a step really is quite obvious. There are many believers of course, I think that are marching on a step and it’s almost a, a, a, a, a nominally when you see somebody walking in step with the Lord, because I I think the majority of Christians are not really walking with the Lord as they ought to and are out of step. But basically this is a chapter that tells us how to have that intimacy with the Lord.

This is a book written to the family about family life as a believer in the family of God. And he’s telling us that this fellowship that we can have with the Father and with his son will bring about joy. Look at you in verse 4. says these things rightly unto you that your joy may be full. You’re certainly not talking about how to become saved. You’re talking to people who are saved. And you know if you’re not in fellowship with the Lord, your life isn’t going to be filled with joy.

The joy comes as we live for Christ. Somebody once said that joy is an acronym for Jesus 1st, other 2nd, and yourself last. And I think that’s a good one. Jesus 1st, other 2nd, and your self-last J.O.Y. and I hope that helps Frank. Thank you for the call and definitely every believer ought to seek to walk in fellowship with the Lord and that means that you are living your life in such a way that you are going in the same direction that he is going.

You are in agreement with the Lord about what you ought to do and live as a believer and hopefully every believer would enjoy the joy that comes by doing that. have read in Tampa on the line Brett welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air I good morning Hank I’ve got a question from the episode you’re on towards the end of your show but you were you were mentioning something about the possible you know the rapture coming up possibly pretty soon actually I believe you use the date September 22nd I know you had some reasoning behind that I kind of just want to get you to that you know no one knows when Jesus coming not even Jesus himself and no one should really make predictions on that and then you know Again, like I said, I was late.

Sure. That’s a good fair question. In fact, the Bible tells us that we should not be overtaken by the Lord’s return by surprise. It says in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 4, you are children of the light and children of the day, and that day should not overtake you as a thief. Now the unsaved are going to be caught totally by surprise by the return of Christ, but believers are children of the light and children of the day and we should not at all be surprised.

In fact we ought to say Lord we have been waiting for this day, we have been looking forward to it and you are right on schedule. Now when it says you can’t know the day or the hour, that’s probably because we have 24 time zones and although Christ comes back at one point in time when you look at 24 different time zones that could mean at the day before or some differentimbabwe during the same day as where you live on the earth would determine what time the clock will read and obviously you wouldn’t be able to know the day or the hour depending on where you’re living because although price comes back at one point in time and it’s the same time around the world on your clock wherever you live it would be a different hour and maybe even if you’re on the other side of the

International Date Line, it would be the previous day. It doesn’t say in the Bible, you can’t know the week or the month, and I think that we possibly can come that close. Now we don’t know what year Christ is coming, but I believe that the feast days that God gives back in Leviticus chapter 23 give us the clue. The first four were fulfilled literally on the day by Christ first coming. He died as the Passover Lamb on the feast of Passover.

We know exactly what day that was. He died exactly when Israel was offering up their lamb. He was buried during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which spoke of his sinless body. He rose from the dead on the Feast of First Truth’s Day, which was always a Sunday, and that’s the day he rose from the dead. And the Holy Spirit came and began this age on the day of Pentecost. Each of those happened exactly on the day. The next feast, which would picture the rapture, happens in the fall.

I’m not saying Christ is coming this year. I’m just saying we ought to be looking and I think that we could expect that whatever year he comes, that’s the day that he will come. Brett. I hope that helps. And thank you for calling in. Again, we want to remind everybody about the classes. We’re excited about another series of classes. We’ll do five weeks of two hours each Tuesday night, and then we’ll start another five week course and we’ll announce that title as we get closer.

But this one is called meeting the challenge. And it’s a broad spectrum class on moving you along to the next level in your Christian life. I think you’re going to find this a dynamic class. we’ve been wanting to do and you will just I think be riveted on the edge of your seat as you are given the challenge that God gives in His Word to live for Him and experience the joy and the fullness of the Christian life that you can have if you are a servant living for Christ.

We’ve got to go to break and we’ll come back and do Bible in Part 2. So don’t change your radio dial, keep it tuned right where it is and we’ll do the second half of Bible and we hope that you’ll be there with us for the second half. Stay tuned, we’ll be right back. Don’t go away Bibleline, we’ll be back in a moment. Give us a call at 1-800-576-3771. That’s 1-800-576-3771. I’m Dr. Englund Strimb, this is Bible and it’s been great to be with you again today.

Again, this is our television day. If you’re listening, you can catch our program on DirectTV tonight at 630 nationwide on World Harvest Television Channel 3, 2, 1, 630 tonight nationwide. At seven o’clock on the West Coast of Florida, we’re on the CTN network all over the West Coast of Florida from Fort Myers to Crystal River over to Orlando. And I hope you’ll tell your friends, but we’re very excited that we have our television programs as well as our radio programs now on the internet.

Go to my home page BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the TV set in the upper right hand corner and you’ll be confronted with a page and on the left side says view here Bible and television, click on that or on the right side listen to Bibleline radio and click on that and you’ll be able to We’re getting ready to webcast our morning worship service here from Calvary and we’re going to letBre you know as soon as we’re ready to go but we’re certainly working toward that and hopefully we’ll be able to bring you the morning teachings from God’s Word that I deliver here from the pulpit at Calvary Community Church where I am the pastor.

And we’re excited about what God is doing through Bible and what you to be able to benefit by that. And by the way, for that all to happen, everything we do seems to cost money. We’ve had in the past month two computers go down on us. And so we’ve had to buy new computers. We didn’t expect to do that. We’ve had to buy this digital quality broadcast quality camera for the webcasting. That really wasn’t in our budget, but we feel that this is an important step forward for us.

So lots of things are happening, but they all cost money. We can sure use your help if you would like to give a gift to Bible, and you can do it by credit card over the phone. And you can also give a gift, of course, by mailing it to Bible and call our operators, and they’ll be glad to send you an envelope with our address on it, or you can have them recite the address to you. We hate to talk about money, but we’re not trying to get your money.

We want to get to Gospel out. We want to offer more things that will be helpful to you. And the only way that can happen is if we have to have the money to pay for it. And the only way we’re going to have the money to pay for it is to have your partnership with us. I don’t get paid, our staff doesn’t get paid. We are lean and mean and we are getting this messy job. Really around the world and it’s all through your help and we want to thank you in advance for being a partner and helping Bibleline out.

We’re about ready to do Bibleline Part 2. Stay tuned right where you are and you can go to the internet if you can’t get it on your station and get the full program. Would you like to call Bibleline and ask Dr. Lindstrom a question? You can. Just pick up your phone and dial 1-800-576-3771. Now here again is Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Right, we’re through that break and this is Bible and we’re coming to you live from our studios right here in Tampa, Florida at the Calvary Community Church where I’m the pastor and we always love to meet our listeners.

We had people coming by yesterday and they come by every day and I was so excited to get to meet them and talk to them and they of course get a chance to meet me and our staff We love that. You’re always welcome. If you’re coming in from out of town on business or pleasure, take that extra minute to come and visit us. We’re so close to the airport. It’ll just take an extra minute. We’re on the west side of the airport, one block west of the airport, on George Road that runs north and south, and we’re on a road that parallels the main north-south runway at Tampa International Airport.

So we’re easy to find. We hope that you’ll come by and say hi and visit our resource center. We’d love to have you and I’d love to get a chance to meet you. You could also come by on a worship day. You can come by on a Wednesday night and I teach a Bible study during our Wednesday evening service and also on our Sunday morning service. You’re welcome to come by and if you come at 915 you can get in on my adult class which is also available to you.

And then if you come this Sunday, the third Sunday, you’ll get a chance to get in on a dinner that we’re going to have. We have those the third Sunday of every month and you’re going to get a chance to have lunch or dinner with us here at our Bible and Head Chorus at Calvary Community Church. And this Sunday also, we’re having a baptism. And if you’ve not been water baptized, since you’ve been saved, you’re really ought to. We’re inviting you if you would like to join us in this baptism and I would be honored to do that baptism for you So that’ll be this Sunday afternoon 17th of September at 3 o’clock in the afternoon what you might want to do is come to our worship service Stay for the lunch then we’ll all gather together and kind of motorcade up a couple miles north of

of Bible and headquarters to church members home where they have a beautiful lake, a grassy lawn that comes right down to the water’s edge and will baptize there and we’d love to have you be included in that. So you’re welcome to call our operators and get your name on the list and they’ll be glad to give you instructions and you can come directly to the baptism or as I suggested you might want to make it a day with us here and worship with us and then eat with us and then go to the baptism together with us.

That would be great. We’re going to go to the phone lines, but again, let me remind you Tuesday night, we’ll start some new classes and that’ll be for five weeks, two hours per night from seven until nine. I’ll be teaching meeting the challenge. and this is going to be a broad-based class really helping you to move forward in your Christian life to the next level. I think it will be a really, really life-changing class and I hope that you can be a student in the classroom.

But if not, if you live in other areas where you’re not able to come, you will be able to order the CDs and it will be just as though you are in the class. So consider that, beginning Tuesday night, the 19th of September, we will have classes called Meeting the Challenge that will begin at 7 o’clock. And if you come a little bit earlier, there is a fee of $50, which is only $5 for each of the 10 hours of teaching, and that will help keep Bibleline on the air as we’ll use that money to continue to support the Bibleline program and pay for areas of expenses that we haven’t got covered in another way.

So consider that. If you don’t have the money, whisper in my ear and I’ll give you a scholarship. We don’t want anyone not to come because of money. We’ll just say, you know, post something in the plate, whatever you want to give, but if you can afford it, that would be a nice help to Bibleline. So come on out, Tuesday night the 19th and join us for those classes. We’re now going to go to Jacob in Tampa, Florida and Jacob will come to Vibeland.

Hank, this is Jacob Tampa. How you doing, buddy? Good. Knowing the time or the day of the hour of the Rapture. It’s a common Jewish practice in ancient weddings that the bridegroom would go and He only knew when the room was ready for the bride once the father approved of it. That’s what Jesus was talking about when he said, only the father knows. The ancient Jewish tradition for the weddings, the father had to give the approval when the room was ready.

That’s a very interesting insight and I appreciate you sharing that with us. Absolutely. If you… If you do everything everything that Jesus has done in the past is exactly according to Jewish, starting the bride and being in the wedding chamber for seven days which represents the It’s been a lot of fun. And I’ll say we’re going to be in heaven during the Great Tribulation, so it all matches up, very, thankfully, with the wedding feast, everything is attached. And secondly, knowing the day of the hour, the rashashana is known as a Jewish idiom, as was one holiday when you don’t really know the day of the hour when it starts to actually celebrate it over two days.

So I think we can know that the day of the hour is definitely going to be to be on russia shop. Thank you. That’s it. I appreciate that. Hopefully that helps you. I appreciate that inside a lot. Yeah, that’s great. And obviously that’s part of our Jewish roots there from the Old Testament. By the way, in that passage in, I’ll quote here from Mark, Christ said, of that day and that hour, no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the son but the Father.

And this has raised another question, of course, and that is about the omniscience of Christ. If Christ is God, then He would have to know. And what is interesting here is that the word but in Mark 1332 could be translated if not as it is in some other places. If you read it that way, it would say of that day and that hour, no man, no not the angels which are in heaven, neither the son if not the father.

So there is, I believe, the answer which I discovered many, many years ago that it really is not translated correctly because Jesus, according to John 5, knows everything the Father knows and vice versa. And so he would know and it says, it should read here, neither the Son, if not the Father. So there you have it, Mark 1332, circle the word but and point out that it could be translated If not, and the Greek word can be translated that way.

And so that might be helpful as well. We have David in Dileon Springs on the air, and David, welcome to Bible in Europe near Daytona Beach. Actually, we’re west of Daytona, north of Dileon. There you go. Thank you very much. Good morning. Pastor Hank, how are you today? Good. I appreciate all you’re doing. It’s pretty interesting. You’re talking about that particular beast several months back. I was talking to my pastor about what you were saying. He’s never heard you or anything like that, but he really studies the Bible very thoroughly.

He was talking along the same lines. He said, we probably won’t know what year it is, but if it happens on that beast, he wouldn’t be surprised because like you said about the other four feet were fulfilled to the day and the hour, but he was saying the same thing. That’s pretty neat. That is exciting because even the Passover, they offered that in the twilight or the evening, which is between 3 and 6 p.m. and Christ died exactly at 3 o’clock.

He died exactly on the preparation of the Passover when Israel was offering up their lamb and so he died as the Lamb of God and it’s amazing how these feast days give us some real insight and if the first four were fulfilled literally we have even more reason to believe that the last three will be fulfilled literally on the day and be a complete fulfillment of the second coming event events. That’s neat and really exciting. Can I ask a quick question?

Sure. Go right ahead. Robert’s 10 verse 5, it says, he to gather it and summer is a wise son, but he that sleep It’s a son that costs a shame. Yes. Could that possibly be applicable towards where the Lord says in the New Testament, fields are wide on the harvest? And as far as us not responding to the Lord’s commission to try to harvest souls or point souls towards Him? I definitely believe it does and I would use it that way because we’re all told to get involved in the harvest.

Christ, when he saw the multitude that compassion and he said that we’re to pray that the Lord would raise up labor to go forth into his harvest. He says the harvest is great and the labors are few. So absolutely in the family, when the whole family was involved in the harvest and the son was sleeping there in the harvest. He brought shame to the family because the burden fell on the others to do the job and he wasn’t carrying his weight.

Every Christian needs to carry his weight in this responsibility of the Great Commission, especially reaching their own family with the gospel and their sons and daughters and their nephews and nieces and brothers and sisters and moms and dads. We ought to be on the ball about reaching our family members for Christ for sure. Yeah, I was, I was, I was, I was one of that. And more so from the standpoint, and definitely in the last few recent years, I’ve just been really pleading with the Lord to more and more strip off the affection for the things of this world and just, it’s like Lord, help me really dig in and go after souls, you know, that are perishing and just not, just not ball them off, you know, and, uh, I’m I really really care for them.

Well, thank you, sir. Well, David, I’m so glad you’re able to hear us up there out of Delanne, Florida, and continue to listen and tell us about the program. Thanks, sir. Have a good night. That was David up in D’Lion Springs, near Delanne, Florida. We are going to Renee in Oldsmar, Florida, and Renee, welcome to Bible Aid. Hi, Dr. Linschun. And thank you very much for taking my call. It’s always wonderful to talk to you. I have a special request.

I have been given the privilege to have Bible studies and teach some of our youth that are currently in a detention center. And it is a very wonderful experience. I feel that I need to give these dear girls and boys hope from scripture and in addition to hope, and I’ve already found scriptures that would help them to have hope in Christ, but in addition to that, I’m wondering if you could please give me scriptures that would pertain to the fact that these young people are so afraid that once they leave the detention center, they are going to be sucked back in if I can say that into their formal ways of life.

And when I pray with them, their tears are streaming down their faces, and they so do do not want to do this but they’re so afraid that they will return to their former ways and I need to share scripture with them that will help to empower them by the power of the Holy Spirit not to do that. Alright well I would recommend the first Psalm and if they would memorize that Psalm and really put it into practice. It starts right off there with how to be blessed or to be happy.

Bless it as the man that walketh and then it gives us some good advice here that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly. That would be their friends that are ungodly. They don’t want to listen to their friends and what their friends are saying that you need to do this or do that or they try to pull them into their circle of activities. It says North Stand in the way of sinners, North Siteth in the seat of the scornful.

So those are progression here that if they would just memorize that first verse it would be helpful because all of a sudden if you’re walking with friends who are giving you bad advice it won’t be long that you are standing with them and where they hang out in the way of sinners and then ultimately you’re going to wind up sitting down with them. He is the one who is in God’s Word. In God’s Word he meditates day and night.

This is the one that is going to be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that is bringing forth his fruit in his season. His leaf also shall not wither. Whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. But then verse 4 says, the ungodly are not so. God, if they die without Christ, are going to be like the chafe which the wind bloweth away. They will not stand in the presence of God, but they will be cast into the eternal lake of fire.

We find here that verse 6 says, the Lord knoweth the way of the believer, the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish. So God is going to bless the person who is a believer who will not listen to ungodly advice, but listen to the advice of God through His Word. This might be a wonderful chapter to help you get them on target with that. Alright, I definitely will include that tonight. Beautiful. And any other words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated, but we just love listening to you, Dr.

Lindstrom. Thank you so very much. You’re very welcome. Thank you, Renny, from Oldsmar, for me. burden for teens and helping them get their life back on track. We have Jonathan in Quentin Virginia. Jonathan, welcome to Bible Ang. Yes, I can hang. Yeah. Yes, I have a question, actually a couple of questions. This one should have found on them and see if you can help me out. It seems as if these days now we have a lot of pastors who somehow use manipulation to get the believers to do what they want them to do.

I just want you to answer my question as far as the local assembly. It was told to me that if a believer went to visit another church, it was considered to be spiritual adultery. As well as if God doesn’t tell them to just say if you, not necessarily relocate, but if you wanted to go to another church because you didn’t really agree with what the pastor was saying, that you also were acting in rebellion. I just want to know is this part of false prophecy, or from the false prophet, or exactly what’s going on.

One more little quick question. If someone is being a boarder and has a bishop and they have a ceremony where the elders kiss the ring of the bishop. Is that biblical? I’m going to hang up and let you just go. Okay. There’s nothing in the Bible about kissing anybody’s ring. I know that in Catholicism they kiss the ring of the pope, but certainly that is not biblical at all. But as far as that, not be able to attend another church.

That is the only way that you would be committing spiritual adultery is if you go after another God, which if you go to a false church, which obviously would take you away from the true and living God of the Bible, then you might be committing spiritual adultery in going to a place of worship where they are a cult or occult group and they would lead you away from the truths of God’s word. But otherwise there is no restraint there.

But if you have committed yourself to a good church, then obviously you would like to be faithful to them. But there is nowhere in the Bible that it would say that you are committing spiritual adultery unless you are attending a false church and there you are being led to really worship in a sense another God because the message of the Bible there is kinder it is word just even the gospel if it’s not correctly given in a church it says in Galatians 1 8 1 8 though we are an angel from heaven if we preach any other gospel unto you that which we’ve preached and you let him be a curse so obviously if the message departs from the Bible, then that is forbidden for sure.

We have off the Earth Chris in Tampa, Florida. In John 15 he says, it talks about Jesus being the true vine. And it says, if you do not abide in me, you will be cast into the fire. Does this mean you can lose your salvation? Well, Chris, first of all, it doesn’t say that… The God will cast you into the fire. It says men will cast those branches into the fire. What I believe it’s saying there is that your testimony is worthless if you are not walking with the Lord and abiding in Christ.

And so men will cast you into the fire. And I think it’s talking about your testimony, your Christian life will be burned up also at the judgment of Christ as far as having any value for reward. So no, you cannot lose your salvation. and And this does not mean you can lose your salvation. John 15 is talking about fruit bearing. And if you are not abiding in Christ, not living for Christ, then you’ll be in the category of a non-fruit bearing Christian.

And those branches, you know, if you were to be the farmer, the one that would be the husband of the vineyard, you would trim off branches that are not producing any fruit so that other branches could fill in and produce more fruit. And that’s what this chapter is talking about. So as a believer, the believer that is not living for Christ will find his testimony worthless to them, and they will cast that branch into the fire. And that will mean loss of reward for you.

But certainly not loss of salvation. If you’re a believer, you’re saved forever. All right, we have Steve down in Sarasota, Florida and Steve Has a website and he’s written some Scripturally sound music that he has on there and Steve I believe You’re in so sudden want to give us that web address for our audience to look at Okay, I think we’re all doing fine.
