Bibleline Radio Show – 2006-12-13 – Christmas

If you have received the gift of God, why not distribute this gift to others! The Gospel is the good news that “whosoever believeth” can also receive this free gift! Jesus Christ existed long before Bethlehem. All things were made by Him. The human race missed the most important event to ever happen in history.

Thanks for tuning into the broadcast. We look forward to being with you every day as we come to you live.

I’m Tampa Florida from our studios here at the Calvary Community Church and we’d love to meet you. If you ever get a chance to come by please do and say hello. If you live in the area it’s easy to find. We’re right next to the Tampa International Airport. If you ever come into Tampa, if you don’t live here, make sure you say hi because we’re right next to the airport, easy to find and it will just take an extra minute or so to come by and knock on our door.

This Sunday would be a great Sunday to come by and visit with us. It is the third Sunday of the month and it is our Christmas celebration service with a dinner following and we’ll have lots of food to eat. It’ll be great. I hope that you will come and join us and be my guest. Just bring your family, your appetite, your Bible and join us for a Thanksgiving celebration and service and dinner lunch that will follow and we’ll have plenty of food and great fellowship.

It will be a great time to make a day of it. If you come at 9.15 you can join my belt class as there are others but you can join mine and make it a full day. We hope you will. In the evening our children will make a presentation and then on the 24th Christmas Eve Sunday We’ll be having a 10 o’clock candlelight service with the Lord’s Supper as we enter the Christmas celebration. That’ll be December 24th at 10 p.m.

we’ll have a Christmas Eve candlelight service with lots of music and we’ll have the Lord’s Supper. It’ll be a precious time. We hope that you’ll take advantage of that. By the way, we do have a special offer going this week, a Christmas special for a donation of $100. We have 20 How Permanent is Your Salvation CDs, 20 free ticket tracks to go along with those CDs. The handbook on evangelism, which is the greatest witnessing book I’ve ever seen, a special Salvation DVD, that’s video.

It’s only seven minutes long, but if you can get family, it gatherings together over the holidays to sit down just for seven minutes, they’ll be able to hear a clear presentation of the gospel that we have available that I’ve done on a DVD. That’ll be included plus five of my articles that will be very helpful to you. You can just call and order. We had a lady who has a cleaning service come by yesterday and she got 23 because she said She had 23 customers.

She wants each one of them to get to gospel. And that’s really what we’re talking about here, evangelism at Christmas time. You know, it tells us in Luke’s gospel that the shepherds, after they had seen the baby lying in the manger, it says they went everywhere. They went abroad telling the story that they had heard. And so they went out witnessing. And so this is a great time to evangelize. More people are likely to say yes to listen to you or to come out to a church service or listen to a CD or in any way accommodate you that this time of year.

So it’s a great way to get the gospel out. We have a lot of resources here. Some great tracks that really do help. You can include in your Christmas cards if you haven’t already sent them out. And we would love to hear from you. So give us a call at 1-800-576-3771 and the Christmas Special is $100 on a nation and you’ll get a 20 of the CDs, how permanent is your salvation? 20 free ticket tracks to go with that, the Handbook on Personal Evangelism, a special DVD video to play seven minutes long to give the gospel to your family or friends at gatherings over the Christmas holidays and then five of my articles will be included in that I hope you’ll take.

We want you to know we’re going to Israel on March 12th, coming back on March 23rd, that’s leaving on a Monday, coming back on a Friday, 12 days exclusively in Israel. Some people say, is it safe? I believe it will. I wouldn’t take you if I didn’t think it would be safe. I wouldn’t want to put anybody in harm’s way. We’re going to fly on the safest airlines that there is, L.L. The Israeli Airlines, and we’re going to go exclusively to Israel.

We’re certainly not going to go to places where there is travel. there is trouble or turmoil, we’re going to, there’s so much in the way of biblical sites in Israel, you could spend your life there. So we’ll have plenty to see and we’re going to have some exciting times at the Sea of Galilee, at the Jordan River, we’ll be baptizing, at the Dead Sea where you can’t possibly sink the saltiest body of water on the earth. Beautiful, clear water, you can see the bottom, but you can’t, if you can’t swim, you’ll love this, You can’t drown because you’ll float right on the top.

It’s exciting. I’ve laid back, got in the newspaper, held it up, let the wind catch it and kind of body surf right on top of the Dead Sea. It’s a lot of fun and we’ll see the Hill of Calvary. We’ll see so much. And it’s like a year’s worth of Bible study all in one trip. You will come back with your head so full. You’ll have to probably take a couple of weeks or months to digest what you’ve seen and certainly you want to bring your camera.

In any case, the information is available on the website. If you go to my homepage, click on BibleEye News and you can download the itinerary and the signup sheet. You can also call and have us mail that to you. We hope that you will take advantage and do exactly that. Well, we’re going to talk about the Scriptures for a little bit and then we’re going to get into the off-air questions and we have on-air people waiting right now. We have a caller from Memphis, Tennessee, waiting, one from Inglewood, Florida and the phones are ringing off the hood.

So I’m sure we’ll have a whole bunch stacked up and ready to go in just a minute. But let me just say, Jesus Christ existed long before Bethlehem. That’s right. If you read John’s gospel, beginning in verse 1, It says in the beginning was the Word. It is referring to Christ. It says the Word was with God and the Word was God. Then it tells us that all things were made by Him and that the whole universe was created by Him.

In verse 14 it says the Word was made flesh. This is what Christmas is all about. the fact that God came and took on human flesh in the person of Jesus Christ at Bethlehem. But that it was only the beginning of the story here on this earth. We know 33 years later as a man he goes to the cross which is at Jerusalem and there he dies the pay for the sins of the world. And obviously Jesus was existent prior to the creation of the universe.

And when the universe was created, he was there as the Creator. Isn’t that amazing? I love verse 10 and John 1 where it says, He was in the world and the world was made by Him, but the world knew Him not. For the most part, the human race missed the greatest event in all of history, the visit of God the Creator Himself to the planet earth to reveal Himself to us and become our Savior. That’s who Jesus is. It’s not a great story.

It’s a true one. This is the story of the century and of the millenniums and of all time that God, the Creator, would believe heaven. Come to the earth and take on human flesh and become a man and die for you and me. When you trust Him as your Savior, God saves you. Verse 12 is such a wonderful verse. It says, but as many as received Him, not received the commandments, not received baptism, not receive confirmation, not receive the mass, not receive penance.

This is a person we’re talking about. If you receive Christ, the Bible says, God gives authority for you to become one of God’s children. You become born again when you believe on His name, John 1 12 tells us. And when you trust that Jesus Christ is the Savior that He claims to be, that He went to the cross and died and shed His blood for your sins was buried and rose again from the dead. God saves you! And He saves you eternally!

Isn’t that great? I’m so glad I found out this good news. I was 18. I’d been raised in church, but I never knew how to go to heaven. Boy, am I ever glad. My sister invited me to a Bible study in our neighborhood. I didn’t want to go. But to get her off my back, I went. Thank God they presented the clear plan of salvation didn’t take but one meeting I was there I heard it It made sense I trusted Christ and my friend I received eternal life that night and I still possess it to this hour.

Jesus said in John 637 he’d never cast me out for any reason. So I could never be lost and even better than that in John 639 Christ said he would not lose one person that ever trusted him as Savior. If think about it if one person in all of history were ever lost after they trusted Christ Jesus would be a liar. The Bible would be in error. It would be wrong. You might as well light a match and walk away from your Bible.

My friend, the Bible has never been wrong. God cannot change his word. He says it is forever. Jesus said heaven and earth shall pass away. But my words shall never pass away. Wow. In other words, the Word of God is going to be around after the earth has been destroyed. That’s right. Everything in this world will be destroyed one day. Tampa will be destroyed Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas. All the cities on this earth will be gone.

All the things that man has built, the seven wonders of the world, all will be gone. But the Word of God will live on. Peter tells us in 1 Peter 1, the Word of God, liveth and abideth forever and ever. Can you imagine? This is the book You have to pay attention to and when you trust Christ as your Savior, God gives you the gift of everlasting life. This is my Bibleline. I’m Dr. Hank Lindstrom. I’m excited about being able to be with you today and we’re looking forward to a wonderful holiday, a great opportunity to lead people to Christ.

Our Christmas special is all about evangelism. It’s about equipping you to be able to give out the gospel message and I’m telling you, CD has been used of God to win many many to Christ. I hear of stories every week Because it’s it’s really been used that way There’s a great percentage of chance that the person that will listen to it will get saved. I Don’t care how obstinate stubborn they are We are amazed to hear the stories of people if they listen to it They get saved and not only that this one is great for the Christian.

We had one of our greatest Witnesses in my church a fellow that played this in His player in the car and it guess what it got stuck. He couldn’t get it out He hit all the buttons. He kicked the dash. It wouldn’t come out He said he had to listen to it every time he got into his car. He listened to it about 20 times and then apparently his CD player healed itself and it came out. He said, I think God wanted me to listen to that 20 times.

He had it so down, so clear. He became one of the best evangelists in my church, able to present the gospel so clear. This is great for you, the Christian, as well, to teach you how, equip you how, to be able to lead someone to Christ. You’ll want to get this for your own benefit as well as to give it out to those that are lost. And this is a great time to give it out. People will receive it at Christmas time.

Take advantage for a $100 donation. We’ll send you 20 of these CDs, 20 tracks to go along with it. The handbook on personal evangelism, a special DVD video that will be great for having the family sit around or friends that are over. Just get them say, seven minutes. Would you sit for seven minutes and let me play this? in those seven minutes they might get saved. It’s a very simple video presentation that I did on how to be saved and that will be in there plus five articles and it’s about a hundred fifty dollar value for a special gift of my line here for one hundred dollars.

We’re going to give the phone lines. The phone number is one eight hundred five seven six three seven seven one. We’re going to go to Memphis Tennessee where we’re on every day live at the time we’re on here. Of course it’s central time there so it’s nine o’clock for nine fifteen right now in Memphis and John welcome to Bibleline you’re on the air how you doing this morning good good I was calling first of all God bless you thanks for what you do on the radio every day we listen to you on a regular basis and we just want to say thanks we appreciate you thank you God bless you and next I want to just give you a little something that’s taking place and I need some advice uh…

a married man of less than a year my wife had a son who’s 17. He didn’t live with us when we first got married, but he lives with us now. This past Sunday we had an altercation because I was instructing him with something to do and it got to the point to where he came in my face with the word, you know better than to ever touch me. Now… At that moment, my wife, his mother did nothing but tell him, go back in your room, and he said, no, he’s not going to touch me.

She ended up walking outside with him. A beautiful marriage so far the three days of this week to become filled with turmoil. In my house, I don’t feel safe, not from a standpoint of fear, but from the standpoint of I don’t feel comfortable in my house when there’s someone who has, with physical altercation and he’s 17 and I’m 4. If mom does no discipline to him I would say this also as you give me a little advice to anyone that’s listening pre-marital counseling is a necessity.

Talk about being honest to each other but when their children involved this is something we did not do. It sit down and discuss how we collectively as a unit she and I would raise because now with him never having a father in his life, me trying to be a father to him. When you say that to me and then walk in my faith, I need to, I guess, get some forgiveness because as of today being Wednesday, we’re just saying to him, and he gets in my faith saying, you’re not going to touch me as though he wanted a physical altercation.

So I said I wanted him out of my house. Mom disagreed, so now he’s still at our house. So I feel as though So he challenged me as a father, he challenged me even more than that as a man. So there is bitterness. I know about, I’m a Christian, I know I have to get forgiveness. I know that doctor, I know that. But it’s hard right now for me to walk in my house, be friendly, to be loving and to love my wife when someone in my house who I’m taking care of who has no money, just no child support.

taking care of is getting in my face talking about a philosophical altercation well i don’t want him in my house but my wife does that for child that’s my father as well because he’s my step on i don’t know what to do with this part number one of his possible i think you need to leave him to christ if he would even listen to you uh… but uh… you know if he got saved it makes a tremendous difference uh…

for sure then you probably ought to get that counseling right away with the three of your at least you and your wife now to get a game plan as to how to to approach this but obviously the two of you need to be in agreement the husband of wife and uh… if you cannot agree then like it says in a mister how can to walk together except they be in agreement so uh… you obviously need the husband of wife are are the major players and and you need to be in harmony with her and she with you so I would seek that counseling if it’s possible if you could lead him to Christ.

That would change the playing field a lot because he doesn’t know the Lord I’m assuming. And if he did, it would make a lot of difference I think in resolving this whole thing. At the time when I know what the Spirit is saying, you challenged me as a man. I’m supposed to now continue to feed you, buy you clothes, take you here, pick you up from there. Well, you just challenge me in my own house and tell me I’m not going to do this and you feel staying in my house.

Right. I think you need to come down only, but I think you obviously have to have your wife’s agreement about that. So I think you two need to come together and get this resolved as the house. Who is the man of the house? Who is going to make the final decisions? Will she support you in that because and after that right now? No, but he has never just been a person of great discipline. She believes in a lot of talking But you’re gonna need to find if you go to a church there.

Hopefully your church can help you find a good Christian counselor and someone I think you need to do that right away the two of you need to come together on this thing as to how you’re gonna solve it and If she and the boy are teaming up against you, you’ve got a problem. And that’s why I am now. There you go. Well, we’ll be praying for you, John. That’s a rough situation. And maybe some of our listeners might call in with some advice because I hear others have gone through the same things.

So keep listening today. We’ll do. Take care, God bless. Alright, John. John in Memphis, Tennessee. The Bible talks about family problems can be really tough. Let’s go to Mark in Inglewood, Florida and Mark welcome to Bibleline. You’re on the air. Yes, good morning, Dr. Hank and I want to thank you very much and about my heart for sharing your knowledge of the word and your message that you give us every day. I’m a truck driver here and we have the privilege of this interview while we’re driving it.

Certainly helps us throughout the day. Dr. Hank, my question is I was not talking with you. the Christian brother, and he proposed a question to me about after death. I mean, how soon do we enter the kingdom of heaven? How do the states that we immediately go to heaven or do we are sold as a soldier’s late dormer and wait for the coming of the Lord and then we’re all taken into heaven at one particular time or is it immediately the time of death?

I’m going to hang up on a sofa and I want to listen to your answer on the other hand. I got good news for you. The Bible is very clear about that and I love 2 Corinthians 5, 8, where it says, absent from the body, present with the Lord, absent from the body, present with the Lord. So instantaneously upon death, you will be immediately present with the Lord. You’ll absent this body, which will of course be buried or cremated or whatever and return back to dust from which it came.

But you’ll get a new body when Christ comes back at the rapture, but your soul and spirit will immediately depart this body and be immediately present with the Lord in heaven so you can relax and look forward to that experience. So when I die, at the moment I die, I’m going to be instantaneously in the presence of the Lord. Wow, what an experience that’s going to be looking forward to it. And so for the believer, death need not cause us to fear.

In fact, the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 15, death wears thy sting, grave wears thy victory. Obviously because Christ rose from the dead, he paid for our sins by his death and shed blood. We can be assured of this very promise. We just talked about in 2 Corinthians 5, 8, absent from the body, present with the Lord. We’re going to Tammy in St. Petersburg. Tammy, welcome to Bibleline your own ear. How are you doing, sir? Good. I had a question.

I’ve been reading revelations and I think it’s Revelations 20, Chapter 6, about after the thousand years they’re going to let, I guess, the W’s going to be re-released, I guess. I didn’t quite understand why would he be re-released and if that’s true, when do the people, I guess, be unsafe, want to stand before God in the Great White, stand before the Great White’s ground in that case? Okay, great question. Let me just start with saying that I believe there are seven different ages or sometimes called Dist sensations in the Bible each of them are a test of ban in regard to a specific revelation from God in the millennium the test is Here we have ideal conditions it begins with all believers No one believer is allowed to enter into the thousand year end of Christ Satan in his angels are bound 1 through 3 and

Revelation 20 tells us they are put in the bottom of his pit, a chain is set upon Satan and he will have no influence. The earth will be filled with the knowledge of Christ as he will speak from Jerusalem. People will come up from all over the world to hear him speak. The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord. But there will be children born during the millennium. And the Bible says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, Jeremiah 17 9.

So apparently it is a test at the end to show and demonstrate even under the most ideal conditions with Christ present on the earth visibly seen and heard and the devil and his angels being bound up that still the wickedness of the human heart is such that men will reject him. And apparently millions will not be believers at the end of that thousand year period and Satan when he’s loose for that little time right at the end he’s able to round them up and bring an army against Jerusalem and of course Christ quickly defeats them and then Satan is tasked into the everlasting lake of fire.

That’s where he will be then forever. And then all of the unsaved dead including those that are killed at that final battle called the Battle of Gog and Magog with that title. That’s the second time it’s used. This one is the final battle. We find that they’ll be brought up to be judged and assigned the degree of punishment in hell according to their works and according to the light that they rejected. So I would imagine they’ll be greatly punished.

But in any case it’s a test. Okay. And so it’s a shocker to me, you know, to think, how could people not trust Christ? Yes. You know, a lot of times, because of Flip Wilson, I loved him, he would always say the devil made me do it. But in the millennium, they won’t be able to say that because the devil won’t be around to make him do it. But it does reveal the wickedness of the human nature that we inherit from Adam.

Okay, I had no idea. My husband was telling me about but I was like, with all the ones that called up the rapture, we’ll be saved. So why would he be in Christ, he’s Christ. Why would he need the devil to do what I get? So it’s talking about those that after the rapture, during the tribulation period, millions will get saved. Okay. And the believers of the tribulation period that survived the judgments of the tribulation will live into the thousand years.

No one believers will enter at the beginning, but there will be children born and they They will marry and have children and so on. Millions will come along and the world population will increase greatly. But we find that when it’s all over, apparently millions of those do not trust the Lord and Satan exposes that when he’s released and is able to round him up. Okay, I had no idea. I’m so glad this man is in there. Thank you, Tammy.

Merry Christmas to you. And this is by the line of Dr. Engle instrument. We’re coming up hard and fast on our break. Even if we approach Christmas, if you would consider giving a special Christmas gift to my blind that would help us as we exit this year and enter the new one. You could do that by mail or by credit card over the phone, but we would ask you to consider praying for us and also maybe giving a special gift here at Christmas to Bible.

And we’re excited about the fact that this holiday is here because this is a great time to evangelize. This is a great time to tell people the story of Christ.

And of course, it began at Bethlehem, but it ends at Calvary. That’s where Jesus paid for the sins of the world. And so a person could celebrate Christmas and go to hell. They have to trust that Christ died for their sins to be saved. And this is a great time to tell them that other half of the story. We have some wonderful tools, and we have now a special going on. A Christmas special for $100 donation will send you 20 how permanent is your salvation CDs.

This message is very powerful and has led many thousands to Christ. We also have 20 free ticket tracks that will go along with that. The handbook on Personal Evangelism, a special Salvation Video DVD that you can use during the holidays to play for your family. When they come over, this is a great way. The pressure is off of you. You can just get everybody in front of the television, put this DVD and it will play a seven minute presentation of the gospel.

You can use that to evangelize friends and family of different gatherings over the holiday plus five of my articles. It will be March 12th of Monday, coming back March 23rd of Friday. All Israel, 12 days, a wonderful learning experience like a year of Bible college, all concentrated into 12 days.

Send the Bible from morning till night. Well, a great time is trip number 14 for me. We’ll be baptizing in the Jordan, having the Lord’s Supper right next to the Hill of Calvary. We’ll see one individual to the other. It’ll be a safe trip. I wouldn’t endanger you for sure. And so I wouldn’t go if I thought it was a danger and if a danger seems to appear, we’re not going to take you there for sure. And so why not consider going?

We need to get you to make up your mind soon now so you can join us on this journey of a lifetime. We’re about ready to rejoin stations that have been on break. We’re coming to you live from Tampa, Florida. And we are excited about being able to do that every day.

Thank you for tuning in and we have some good news to report. We just got a report yesterday on Light Source, which when you go to my website and you click on there, you can view my television programs. And the month of November, we had 10,000 people view our television programs on the internet. And we had 1,600 download those programs for their iPods and so on. Isn’t that exciting? thousands and thousands are watching our television programs on the internet.

You can go to my internet site, BibleLineMinistries.org, click on the television set on the home page and you’ll also be able to do what 10,000 people did last month and watch our television programs and they’re available for free to download. If you have the video iPod, you can watch them when you go about your business or carry and with you wherever you go. That’s exciting. And I hope you’ll take advantage of that. And of course, take advantage of our whole website.

We have so many things that can be helpful to you. We’re offering a Christmas special this week to help Bible Anne. For a $100 donation, we’re offering 20, how permanent is your salvation CDs? Along with that 20 free tickets to go with those CDs. and then the handbook on personal evangelism, a special video DVD that you can use at gatherings during holidays. It’s only seven minutes long. If you can just gather everybody into the living room, put them in front of the TV, say, just sit for seven minutes and you can play and it’ll make it a spiritual event, which it is.

This is the birthday of Christ and sometimes at the Christmas gatherings. There is nothing about Christ. Here is your chance to put Christ back in Christmas in your home. With people coming over, play the 7-minute DVD. It will be a part of this package. Maybe some of your family will come to know Christ. Wouldn’t that be great? Plus five of my articles that we have selected out, which will be helpful to you. You can call in and tell our operators you want to get the $100 Christmas special.

You can do that over the phone by credit card and we’ll ship that right out to you. We hope that will be a way of evangelizing. We have a plan behind this and that’s where we’re hoping that we can enable you and equip you to be able to reach people during the holidays with the Gospel of Christ and take advantage of this Christmas like you’ve never done before. We had a lady come by yesterday, I mentioned it earlier that has a cleaning service.

23 customers and she got 23 of the how permanent is your salvation? CDs and she plans to give each of her customers one to lead them to Christ here at the holidays. Isn’t that wonderful? I think it’s great and I’ll tell you if we had more people doing that we could turn this world around I think as we would lead people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ Anyway, you can call our operators at the 1-800 number I 1-800-576-3771.

Again we’re going to Israel, I hope that you will consider that and we need to get you thinking right now so you can make that decision shortly because we’re getting close to March, believe it or not, and you need to make plans and we need to get you scheduled. So call us about the trip information or download it off my homepage on the website by going to Bible and News and you’ll find everything you want to know about the Israel trip.

It’s going to be safe. I’ve been 13 times. This will be trip number 14 for me. I wouldn’t take you in the harm’s way. And so I believe you’ll have a wonderful time. We’re going to be exclusively in Israel, flying on the safest airlines in the world, the Israeli airline, L.L. We’ll have a great time. Call and get the information and let us know. We are going to Tammy in St. Petersburg and Tammy. Welcome to Bibleline. Thanks for waiting through the break.

I had another question. Do you believe? When we’ll call up and when we’ll write the same and Christ, you don’t think we will be able to have children in his new kingdom and his new reign? No, we will not. Once we are given our resurrection bodies, the Bible says in Matthew 22.30 that we will not marry nor be given in marriage. So we will no longer procreate and so you’ll know loved ones and and enjoy their fellowship But we will not be having anymore children.

Okay. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you 22 30 You got left. All right. That was Tammy in St. Petersburg and Great question. We have Hilton in Memphis, Tennessee and Hilton. Welcome to by one You You’re on here. Yes, I was like, I met a girl yesterday, but we had a hard time trying to tell her that it is, that is a father sign and a Holy Ghost and it’s all in one. And we tell her to pray for the father in the name of Jesus.

And what she’s saying, I understand she thinks it’s three different people and I want to to know where is it easy it. Or that she could understand it is the Father, the Holy Ghost, but it’s all in two walks. Well there are numerous verses and let me give you a couple from John’s gospel. If you’ll turn to John 14 verse 16, Christ says, I, that’s Jesus, will pray the Father, that’s God the eternal Father, and he the Father shall give you another comforter.

That’s the Holy Spirit that He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of Truth. So you have all three members of the Godhead all in that one verse. Verse 26 of John 14 says, but the Comforter, it says which is the Holy Spirit, that’s the third eternal person of the Godhead whom the Father will send, that’s the first member of the Godhead, the eternal Father, in my name that’s Jesus. So you again have all three members of the Godhead all in one verse and there are so many.

It’s quite clear in the New Testament that this is the way to go. And then John 14, 6, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life and no man come us unto the Father but by me. So to go to the Father, we have to go through Jesus Christ and you’re exactly right. We pray to the Father through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of course instructs us so that we can pray scripturally and get yes answers to our prayer.

So Hilton, I hope that helps. That’s all right. I’m on my own mo’chelor. You said John 14, 14, 14, 14. 16, John 14, 16, and John 14, 26. That’s just a handful there, but there’s lots more. All right, Dean. Keep listening there in Memphis. Alright, thank you, Tom. You’re welcome and it’s Hilton in Memphis, Tennessee and we are now going to John in Northport, Florida, which is South of Tampa and welcome to Bibleline. Good morning, Dr. Hank. Merry Christmas to you, by the way.

Same to you. I called about a week ago or so about my son. I think I explained to you about him being involved in the Muslim religion and the rebellious and stuff. And I listened to an earlier call around your show, John from Tennessee, having a similar problem. And if I make a comment to him that might help, I fell into the trap. Like he seems to have fell into somewhat about being resentful and getting angry because Because men like to feel like they’re respected in your home and if you’re not, it makes you feel empty inside.

But I hope that John, you don’t fall into the trap of resentment like I had for a while because if you do, it’s like a friend of mine told me, it’s like drinking poison, opening other person is going to die. It doesn’t work. And I know it does say in a new testament to bring your request. And your answer to him, Dr. Lim’s room, about him getting counseling, that helps too. But in a similar situation with my wife, she’s a good wife, but she’s lacking when it comes to the discipline thing.

It’s kind of like she just kind of turns her head and hopes it’s going to go away. It doesn’t, you know. But sometimes I think you just have to get into the ward and get closer to Christ. Dr. Hank Lindstrom. It’s not that we like to think that it’s just happening to us, but I find out it’s happening all over seconds. We’ll be back.

We’ll be back. Three minutes. All right. There’s a lot of rebellion in the world right now I’ll be back. Nice. Okay. Against all forms of authority Okay. We’ll be back. And it starts right now. Well, thank you for your time doctor. You’re so welcome and you know Isaiah Okay. We’ll get back. All right. One minute. There you go.

We’ll get back. All right. We’ll get back. All right. Chapter three talking about the latter days We’ll get back. I’m a little bit older than we have. tells us that children All right. So. Would become the oppressors and then an interesting thought here because we’re All right. Our proposed. All right. Yeah. We’re talking about that and we’re seeing it actually happen. It says in verse 4 of Isaiah chapter 3, and the context is talking about the last days which we’re living in, I will give children to be their princes and babies shall rule over them and the people shall be oppressed and it says the child shall behave himself proudly against the older person and the base person against the honorable so we’re certainly seeing that uh…

happen in our world today and we’re not good excuse me good to go to donald in that Tampa florida and donald welcome to bible and you’re on the air hello yeah you’re on the air don oh just fine this uh… patreon yes uh… first of all i would like to thank you very much for your program uh… your inspiration to me and your blessing thank you but a question uh… concerning john sixteen all right at the holy spirit comes to repurpose the world of the right to the judgment yes uh…

the holy spirit he born again christian at the time that they accept the salvation right in this chapter is course talking with him bringing people to Christ as he convicts the unsafe world of their need of Christ. Okay, how does he convict the on-date world? Well, I know that certainly as the word is brought across their path that he applies the word and brings conviction. But I think also, you know, it says here that basically everybody, you know, everybody in the world knows that they’re a sinner.

It seems like that guilt is universal and guilt comes because of sin and it seems like everybody recognizes it. It also talks here about a day of judgment. It seems like everybody in all cultures seem to realize there’s a day when they’ll stand before a higher power if they don’t know anything more than that and they’ll give an account one day. And so around the world we see that’s universal. I think it’s all the Holy Spirit showing them that they’re sinners and that they’re going to give it a count one day to a holy God, but if they seek the Lord, then obviously the Lord will reveal the truth to them.

I think the interesting one here in verse 9, he convicts the world of sin and notice the sin that he convicts men of which is the only sin that can cause you to go to hell is that of unbelief and it says of sin because they believe not on me. And obviously as we see the Word of God, you know, as I witness to people that are lost as they hear the word of God as we present it to them or in track form or CD or message or in a church service or individual witness.

The Lord uses that word to bring a conviction of their need of Jesus as the Savior. And I think this is really what it’s saying and how the Lord is working. The Holy Spirit is constantly working to bring lost people to himself. In John 8, Jesus introduces the concept of conscience. I think so, but sometimes our conscience can be flawed, you know, and in the sense that basically it’s like an alarm system within us that is programmed by what we put in.

And some people seemingly have no conscience. And so I’m not in every case, but certainly It talks about in Timothy, about people having their conscience seared with a hot iron. I know that if you get a burn on your body, usually it kills the nerve endings and you have no feeling where you have a scar. And apparently the likeness there is that people can sear their conscience to the place where they have no conscience. And it seems like the serial killers are in that group.

They just seem to have no conscience at all. They don’t have any remorse for taking another’s life and so on. So, therefore, I think the conscience is part of what God puts into us to help guide us. When we, as a Christian, we reprogram our minds with the scriptures, and then our conscience becomes fine-tuned so that things will bother us. I know that when I hear people curse, that just bothers me big time. And that’s different things that violate the things that I know to be true and need to be right.

And I think that that happens in the Christian, but the unsaved can steer their conscience as they go along. But the Holy Spirit overrides all that. I think that the Holy Spirit’s working is more powerful than conscience. Okay. So essentially what you’re saying is that the Holy Spirit is present in the entire world that time of our salvation in dwell in those people that have chosen. Yeah, those that believe on Christ get the Holy Spirit who comes into their body to indwell them.

But the lost have the Holy Spirit ever working on them, wooing them to try to bring them to Christ. Okay, is there a particular scripture or a reference that you can use that conveys that? I’ve not been able to find it. About the Holy Spirit doing that? Uh-huh. Well, trying to think, I think in Romans chapter 1, I love verses 18 to the end of the chapter, it talks about that God places the knowledge in every person of the fact that He exists.

It says that everybody knows that there is a God from the get-go, although they may not know about Christ. And it says that in verse 19, for God hath showed it unto them. It goes on to talk about how they become responsible. I think the Holy Spirit is involved in convicting them of their need to find this God that they are going to have to give an account to one day. Then it talks about those who do not seek and do not obviously respond to God seeking them that they go off on a path where they go further and further and further in the darkness.

But those that seek will find the promises there everywhere in the Bible. Jeremiah 17, excuse me, chapter 29 verse 13, you shall seek me and find me when you shall search me with all your heart. So the Lord is certainly involved in the whole process and I’m trying to think of a good verse that actually has the Holy Spirit mentioned in it doing that. But certainly there’s no verse where there is evangelism taking place where the Holy Spirit is not involved in the process of bringing that person to Christ.

I’ll have to think about it and try to give you a good verse. I might come up with one of the problems over and over and over. Keep listening. Okay, well, thank you very much. I do appreciate it. Thank you Donald. And certainly we know Christ is deeply involved in evangelism. It says in Luke 19, 10, the Son of Man has come to seek and to save up which is lost. John 3 17 says the Son of man does not come to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved.

So verse after verse tells us about Christ, God is certainly involved in evangelism. John 3 16 says God is the love of the world, all of mankind that he gave his only begotten son. So Christ came and died as a result of God’s desire for all to be saved. the Holy Spirit I know is equally involved as all three members of the Godhead working together are attempting to bring us the salvation. But God has given us a free will choice to accept the reject and we can certainly say no.

And obviously if we do, that’s a foolish decision on our part because you’ll remain eternally separated from God if you die without Christ. We have Armando in St. Peter’s mind and welcome to my blood. Good morning Dr. Lindstrom. Good morning. I just want to make it. Yes. I agree with the previous scholar that he needs to forgive that boy. And before he tried to lead him to Christ, he needs to homo himself. I’ll forgive him, you know, because sometimes he just…

It just ends with… Most of the time, it’s not going to work that he tried to live in Kukrai. So he had to show him in his heart that he forgave him, talk to him, and then talk to the wife. And if it doesn’t work, then he should seek counseling. But the first thing is to talk to the boy and as a family and explaining things. Maybe he doesn’t have an idea of the rules of the house and all that stuff.

So I wait two boys. And they normally get We’ve ended at that age, but thanks for what you talk about. Amen. Well I thank you for that good advice Armando and thank you for calling in. You’re welcome. All right that was a good concise bit of advice there from Armando in St. Petersburg. We have Andre in Tampa, Florida and Andre welcome to Bibleline. the call of government, I believe, had to follow with the, maybe I think, maybe he should check and make sure that it is his wife’s aid.

She’s unsafe and just like a second within the 614, so the ye not now, you can yoke together with unbelievers. I just, I just, I just, when I’m right to do this, and what communion have like with darkness. Okay. Very good point. He could be his wife doesn’t know the Lord, and certainly those two need to be on the same page and that is essential. And hopefully he can make sure that she knows the Lord and then they can come together with a plan as to how they will set the rules for the home and discipline and so on and have a talk in love with that young man and hopefully lead him to Christ and get him to understand that if he’s going to live there that he needs to follow the rules and he’s under the parents.

In Ephesians 6 it says children obey your parents in the Lord. Obviously, he’s probably not even a believer, but as a Christian child living in a home, the Bible says certainly, and of course it’s the rule for any children, as long as you’re living with your folks, it says you’re to obey them, but not necessarily if they ask you to do something wrong, but in the Lord it says in Ephesians 6. Andre, thank you for that good advice and looks like a lot of people are jumping on board to pray for John and we have two John’s that are needing prayer for their sons.

We have Eden in Port Charlotte, Florida calling in. These these all fair questions, I’ll try to go through these quickly. What is the last sign that will occur before the Rapture answer is there is no sign necessarily for the Rapture except for the apostasy of Christianity. And we see that. We are right there. So it says in 2 Timothy chapter 4 that the time will come, speaking of the in times, when they williott no longer endure sound doctrine. So the fact that we have such doctrinal departure today, in most churches, it’s a sign that we are not very far away from the Rapture.

It’s very close. When will the two prophets come? According to Revelation, they’ll come immediately following the rapture. In Revelation 11, it says they will witness the first three and a half years of the tribulation period. I believe Moses and Elijah come back and are those two prophets. Number 3, Eden says, I left the church. How do I get the Holy Spirit back? Well, the Holy Spirit never leaves you, Eden, if you truly trusted the Lord as your Savior. Jesus says the Holy Spirit comes to and dwell you forever.

Ephesians 1.13 says He seals you until you’re in heaven. So if you read Ephesians 1.13, you never can lose the Holy Spirit. If you get saved, the Holy Spirit comes in and dwells you. And according to Ephesians 1.13, He seals you. He is the seal until the day of redemption. That means when Christ comes back, you are sealed by God, Holy Spirit cannot be lost and cannot lose the Holy Spirit. Thank you Eden for Port Charlotte for calling in.

Tim in Pinellas Park says, I’m questioning forgiveness of sin. Do we have to confess it any more after you’re born again? Absolutely. And that is In 1 John 1 verse 8, John the Apostle says… He says, if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. But then in verse 9 he says, if we confess, it means to name by name those things which we know to be sin. He God is just and faithful to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This is a moment by moment thing really, as we go throughout the day whenever we recognize that we have sinned. We ought to stop right then and confess that. And I do believe we have a video in our archives that will cover that. I can’t think of the title, but I think it’s called Confession of Sin. So thank you, Tim, for calling in from Pinellas Park. We have Claude in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. calls in, off here, says, I’m so confused.

I was baptized at fifteen in the seventy Adventist Church. I was zealous like Saul for this religion, but as I searched on my own, I gradually abandoned this church. And so obviously, Claude, the problem is you have been taught by a cult church. The seven Adventists don’t believe in hell. They believe in soul sleep. They believe in salvation by works and so many things. So You just need to get into your Bible and you’ll become unconfused. But it’s very important that you just abandon all those teachings of LNG white because you’ll stay confused as long as you dip back into those false teachings you came out of.
